Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.

You call T.J. O'Meem Pay.
Guys, tomorrow, well, first of all,
tonight is our wing
thing.
We've got sauces for people to score.
Right. On a thing of one to five.
One to five. With commentary.
I was there yesterday.
Place is still, you know, work in progress.
So those of you coming tonight,
understand you're not seeing the finished product of the building.
There's still stuff sitting around.
But we feel like if you came to this, you are like you like us.
So you'll understand there's still stuff sitting around.
A couple TVs out, wires showing.
So just, you know, but you, but it's, you'll get to see the floors.
That's true.
They get a sneak peek of what's about to happen.
What's about to come.
And I saw you guys have done some good changes so far.
Yeah.
We're in the middle of it.
We've got some more coming.
But you did.
You've done some good change.
And then to,
Tomorrow is Media Day.
Yeah.
Excited for football Media Day to get the, is it going to be 900 degrees like it usually is?
I am very excited about it.
I hate saying I'm excited for football and people twisted and, you know, I'm drinking Kool-Aid and I think they're going to be great.
But I'm just excited about getting out to Krogerfield on Saturdays.
There's an open practice fan day.
I'm just excited about seeing the team and that's all it hits us tomorrow.
Well, here's what I'm excited about.
Some fun times in Cincinnati last night.
Yeah.
I don't, you know, I know not most people listen.
then probably aren't Reds fans. That's okay. You'll deal with it. Last night, I've had season
tickets since 2019. And the Reds have sucked the entire time. Went to playoffs one year,
played a one game playoff against the Braves and didn't score. That's been my history since I've
had it. That's your pinnacle. This was, last night was awesome. Was it really? Oh, first of all,
biggest midweek series crowd they've had since 2016 for these three games. Yeah. Last
night, not full but close,
Shohay people everywhere.
I mean, there were a lot of Dodgers fans.
There were a lot of Reds fans, too.
There were a lot of Dodgers fans, too.
There was Shohay. You don't, I don't know, you don't get a sense of how popular he is until that.
Like, I mean, I don't think I've ever been to a game that had more jerseys of, I mean, I've
seen like, again, when the Yankees and Cubs will be a lot of fans of those teams,
but I don't think I've ever seen one player's jersey as much as I saw Shohey last night.
They must make so much money and merchandise on him.
You know, they have to, right?
Yeah, I mean, think of all the fans he has back home.
That's what I'm saying.
You throw in Japan.
Yeah.
And then you do this.
That's hard to replicate with anyone else.
I mean, no wonder they paid him $500 billion, right?
He pitches, even though he didn't pitch particularly great, there was just like a buzz.
You know, when he comes out there.
He walks.
I don't know if he does this on purpose, but Shannon, he walked the entire length of the field by himself.
And I looked around and every person in there was taking pictures.
Even me.
What am I going to do with that picture?
Show it to your kids one day.
I got to see the paper of the baseball.
Here he is on my phone.
And then when you watched him pitch, he has a crazy, you know, sitting where I do, though, you can see the curveballs, right?
His curveball is ridiculous.
But the game was 2 to 2.
And then the 8th inning, so exciting.
All right.
Top of the 8th, 2-2.
Dodgers get two guys on because Sam Moll stinks our pitcher and we bring in the Scuzz bucket.
I love the scuzz bucket with his long hair.
And they bring him into like a Shannon the dude rock song.
It's like, blah, la-la-da.
And he comes in there and gets them both out, scream.
And then Spencer Steer hit a ball that looked like it would be a home run.
and he robbed it, but then dropped it, and he got a triple.
And it's the loudest, I've heard it there.
The only time I think it's been as loud, Shannon, is when you were there, when
Ellie got the cycle.
Oh, yeah.
That's probably the only time, at least since I've been following the team, that it was that
loud.
And I, so much.
So the Reds are the only team in Major League Baseball that haven't been swept.
Are you prepared, though, to be swept by the Atlanta Braves that starts tonight?
Well, I hope not.
I gave Shannon my tickets tonight.
You're going to cheer for the Reds, right?
Absolutely.
Remember, I've given my tickets to you, I think, once before Ellie hit the cycle when you went.
That's right. It hits like the reverse curse.
Maybe that'll, maybe that'll, maybe that happened.
Was there a little KSR curse for Shohei yesterday?
Yes, there was.
We do a whole little segment on Showay and then he gets injured pitching and they said might not pitch for the rest of the year now.
May just be a hitter.
When I saw that, that little stretch where he just couldn't throw anything, I thought either KSR curse or he's bet on the reds, one of the two.
Because he is too good to be throwing the way it was when he, I wouldn't.
cramped.
Yeah, my first pitch was better than his.
Some of those last pitchers.
Did they check the profits?
His last two pitches just went straight into the ground.
Right.
Like he, so he, and then they took him out.
And then I was listening on the radio last night.
They said, may just say no more pitching for the rest of the year.
Did he stay in the game as a hitter?
Yeah, he stayed in the game as the enter.
Oh, because I wondered if the fact, the Dodger fans all would leave.
He got the last out.
That was kind of what was exciting is that they, you know, they had a runner on base,
two out, show hey comes up.
And he gets the last out of the, of the,
game.
I'm glad you went because you do that's kind of a history, you know, to see a guy that's
going to be remembered as one of the best ever.
And then, you know, I had strong opinion, Shannon, the trade deadline coming.
They're making trades.
I'm evaluating them with my knowledge of the, they got some guy named Key Brine, not
Brian, but Key Brine.
And I was very excited because every time I've seen a Reds Pirates game, that dude has
killed us.
he's killed us.
Every time I see him, here comes
Kibre. He's only hit her they had.
So when I saw we were getting him,
I'm like, yes,
that dude's awesome.
Here's what I didn't realize.
He doesn't hit against anyone but the Reds.
My Reds friends are upset.
He's hit 400 against the Reds,
and he hits like 210 against the rest of the league.
But here's what I'm going to tell myself.
He likes our park.
Oh, that's it.
You see what I'm saying?
He likes our park.
So he's been waiting to come back to this.
Park. There's a comfort there that stats don't
show. He exactly. He likes
the ambiance. I think he likes
the Reds pitchers more than anything, though.
Okay, that's not what I want to hear.
But he, but he, so he's got, and then they
got last Friday night, I went and watched
him play the Rays. Yeah.
And this Rays pitcher, he pitched pretty good.
And I, and I heard them,
somebody say on the radio, oh, he might
be traded and I thought, well, it'd be nice if we got him
and then we got him. Got him too. So, I
actually know the two players that they
got. Yeah, kept seeing. They were making some
moves last night, so they're not giving up.
They're trying to get in the playoffs.
So I like Key Brine.
Everybody goes, oh, he's the worst hitter in baseball.
He can't be worse than Connor Joe.
Well, he's the root, isn't he?
Like a gold glove guy?
He's a good defender.
He's apparently the best defender in baseball.
My understanding is you all need bats at the moment.
But he's the best hitter.
And then the pitcher that they got, I heard him say on the radio,
okay, there's good news and bad news.
They go, good news.
He gives up the fewest walks of any starting pitcher in the league.
and I was like, that's what I like to hear.
That's bad news.
He gives up the most home runs.
But luckily, they're all solo shots because there's no walks on base.
So that's good, maybe.
Yeah.
He's a fresh start?
Yes.
The guy from the Pirates, is he at third basement?
Is that?
He is.
Which means we can get rid of Conor Joe.
Yeah.
I just, he makes me so mad.
But exciting night.
And now you got the series against the Braves.
You're wearing a Braves jersey.
They got the NASCAR game Saturday.
Are you guys, are you excited about the NASCAR?
We probably won't get to talk about it tomorrow because it's media day.
Are you excited about the NASCAR?
Kind of like with Kentucky football, I'm very excited about this Braves Red series with expectations to lose every game.
But I'm excited to follow and watch.
You all could end our season.
Like if you were to sweep us, that probably would do us in.
Have you seen where the Braves are in the standing?
They've lost seven of eight against winning.
It would only be fitting.
We've heard about the summer of Ellie all summer long and how they would be the Braves.
end it the summer of Ellie. Yeah. I mean, we kind of need to win two of three, at least one.
If we were to lose all three, it's probably over. So you all could end in the summer of
Ellie. I ask that you not, but you could. I'm ready to tank. I'm ready to just lose out.
I think the Rockies are by far the worst, but we're not far ahead. The Pirates now have more
wins than the Atlanta Braves this year. Eighty-six thousand people will be at the baseball.
Have you seen the overhead shot of that field? It's unbelievable. It's amazing. You can just
plop a Major League Baseball field in the middle.
middle of a track.
Yes.
And how about 86?
It will be the most people at a baseball game in the history of baseball.
So what did you decide to do?
I don't know.
You'd be a part of history.
I'm going to be a last minute decision.
I want to go, but then I just think about that traffic.
Well, you're good.
And Bristol's not close.
Like, it seems close, but it's not really close.
It's kind of hard to get to.
Just camp.
You know, I'm not going to camp.
You can't pitch a tent.
I have to ask a guy next to me.
Will you pitch this tent for me?
And then just have him look at me like, I mean, please.
By the way, do you have nice betting that I could use?
I'll give you a Budweiser.
I do think it's funny that they said they're going to put the people,
the pitchers, as they come out of the game, put them in the car.
I love that.
And drive them around.
Love it.
Are they going to do that if they pitch badly, though?
Hey, you just gave up six runs, getting this car.
and drive around the track.
They should come into the car bit.
Yeah, they should drive them out to the mound.
Just drive them right there.
In the NASCAR car?
That would be cool.
So what else could you do to integrate NASCAR and baseball?
I thought of this, like a mound visit, making a pit stop.
You get three seconds.
They rub on your arm a little bit.
Yeah.
They run out there in full body suits.
If they all run out there, one of them gets on their knees and starts it.
Yeah.
I think it's a really good idea.
Yeah.
Have you seen the helmets?
No.
The helmets are cool.
Are they wearing big visors?
No, they're not wearing the visors.
The helmets are cool.
They have like, they look like NASCAR helmets.
They're that big?
I mean, they're not, they don't put it over their face, but like the, they got them painted
and stuff like NASCAR.
I got that up in the break.
Yeah.
I'm going to watch this because it's kind of be kind of cool.
I tried to buy one of the hats.
Yeah.
And they are, they were sold.
I've already sold out of all the ones in Cincinnati.
I tried to buy one of the,
checkerboard hats.
You know, that filled a dream, you want me to buy you one of those white hats,
and I got literally the last one.
Yeah.
So it's kind of a commemorative thing.
Yeah.
Well, I'm looking forward to it.
I may or may not go, but I do think it'll be cool.
85,000 people at a baseball game.
And you're right, that stadium looks insane.
Yeah, you don't have to be a fan of a team to want to tune into this.
Yeah, it should be like the Field of Dreams game.
Field of Dreams.
There's been like basketball, has done some unique venues.
North Carolina, Michigan State had that
aircraft carrier game or something like that.
It's just you want to tune in for these unique things they're trying out.
Yes.
I think I have said for a long time,
I think we should play one basketball game in Krogerfield.
I agree.
Do you think that would work?
Oh, yeah, because Kentucky fans would.
If Kentucky played a game in Kroger Field,
could we fill it up?
Ooh.
If it was a good game?
Yeah, there was a good game.
Some cheap tickets up top.
just to get them up there.
But I mean, I think we could do it.
I honestly think if Kentucky were to, let's say we played one of the exhibition games.
Let's say that game against Georgetown or Purdue.
Was it Krogerfield?
Wouldn't that be awesome?
Don't you think it would sell out?
I think it would be great.
And if it was Purdue, I think it would sell out.
You think it would, I mean.
Exhibition game, I don't know, regular season versus Duke.
Yes.
Yes.
But then exhibition, I don't know.
I think you'd be scared to play a game.
game that matters outside.
Because there'd just be a lot of...
Yeah, wind and there'd be just things to get in the way.
But if you played a game that...
I don't think they could do it every year.
But I think if you had a one-time exhibition game in Kroger Field,
I do think you could sell it out.
I think it could too.
Up top, it would need to be like $5 just to start taking up seats.
Yeah, but why wouldn't be $5?
Yeah, and then the tailgating you could do and make a whole day out of it.
It would be so much fun.
Now, I mean, honestly, if you played a basketball game,
there and you were willing to use the field, you could have 75,000 if you wanted to.
But bleach your seats on the field.
Yeah.
But I think in this world of where they have to get revenue wherever they can, that is something
they could do that I think would be kind of awesome.
I think for a good game, this fan base, with the expectations going into this season,
they would pack it for a Purdue exhibition game.
If they played Purdue at Kroger Field.
I think it would be packed.
You're right.
You'd have to make some tickets.
really cheap. But then what I'd say is, what I'd say is like one of our big donors, you know,
let's say tickets were five bucks a piece. Well, forget that. If they made them five bucks a piece,
I'd buy a thousand and give them away. You take school groups? Yeah. Big groups. Like you could just
make it to where it was a ton of fun for people. And those seats would be very bad that far away with,
if the courts. They would be bad. But you've got the trons that you could see the game. And that's what I'm
saying. You couldn't out price people up.
that high for that game. So make it very cheap and just try to get every seat full.
So I think they ought to do it. That's my statement for the day.

What person writes, Matt, ask anything question.
Do you think people shouldn't be allowed to plead the fifth in a trial?
Well, it is in the Constitution.
So yes, they should be allowed.
That was one of the fundamental rights of that you shouldn't, do you know what it means to plead the fifth?
Will you have your constitutional right not to say anything?
There you go.
Well done.
I stated a holiday and express.
How many amendments do you know?
What's the First Amendment?
Thou shalt not kill.
That's the Ten Commandment.
That's Ten Commandment.
The first amendment.
I think you know the First Amendment, don't you?
Freedom of the press.
And?
Freedom of speech.
And.
Freedom of a.
religion.
Look at this guy.
What's the Second Amendment?
Right to bear arms.
Right to bear arms.
What's the Third Amendment?
Very rarely invoked
Third Amendment.
Like literally never invoked.
You should never put a tomato on a sandwich.
Don't be funny.
I'm asking you questions.
I don't know the Third Amendment.
Okay. What about you?
I don't think I know the Third Amendment.
Do you know the Third Amendment?
This is a hard one.
The Fourth is like,
People, please come in your house,
that'll warn it and all that.
Search and seizure.
Quartering soldiers.
Quartering soldiers.
Well done, Shannon.
Thank you.
You do not have to house a soldier.
That's in the Constitution.
Yes.
If a soldier comes and knocks on your door.
You don't have to bring a man.
And says, I want to live in your house.
You do not have to do it.
Wow.
Something hasn't really stood up to the test of time.
Was that like a Civil War thing maybe?
I know.
It was a, it was.
It was the British, the British during, you know, during the Revolutionary War would force people to house them.
That had to be a thing or they wouldn't put it in the Constitution.
I mean, it was the third most important thing to.
They were like, we're not letting people come stay in your house.
That had a lot going on in the late 1700s.
A few more problems than we have right now.
That's exactly right.
One person says Matt Louisville fans are mad.
They're picked fifth in the ACC.
Should they be?
No.
Of course they shouldn't be.
I mean, Louisville's, okay, I don't know who's ahead of them,
but Clemson should be ahead of them.
Of course.
SMU beat them last year and finished ahead of them.
Miami is probably very good.
They spent all that money.
What's the other one?
Florida State.
Are they ahead of them?
They're supposed to be improved too, so yeah, it's probably good.
So, okay, they're fifth.
I mean, Vince can't even put his sweatpants on.
What is he doing?
Listen, I love Vince, but Vince does not want to be in Louisville.
care what anybody says. He put his sweatpants on inside out. I don't know how you do that.
Because there's a huge Adidas logo. It's not a small Adidas logo. Have you seen the picture?
He has his sweatpants on inside out. First of all, physically, how do you get them on?
Like, how do you get your sweatpants? Probably not that different, but you got to, it's got to be
obvious that your pants are inside out. The pockets are now exposed.
Like the sewing of the logo is what you see on the outside.
I thought about this trying to give him an excuse.
This is the only thing I could come up with.
Excuse for wearing your pants inside out.
He spilled something on the outside and he didn't want to walk around all day.
Let me ask you a question.
You know Vince.
We love Vince.
Do you think the man's worried about spilling stuff?
Maybe it was like something really bad all over his pants and he's like, I can't walk around with this all day.
They're black pants, though.
They're black pants.
You can have lots of stuff on black pants.
So do you think he was aware?
first of all.
He can't have been aware because why would you choose to wear your sweatpants inside out?
So maybe he was late.
He was in a hurry.
He grabbed the first thing he could find off the floor, put it on, didn't realize it until he got to practice.
Now it's too late.
You're being very nice.
I've done it before.
You've worn your sweatpants inside out.
Not sweatpants, but I've worn other things inside out and backwards like a shirt.
You're not even real.
You're wearing a shirt backwards?
What are you crisscross?
I didn't even realize it.
So it goes, why is your shirt inside out?
down back, I don't know. Inside out's different backwards.
One time in junior pro basketball, we were warming up and I ripped my
tearaway pants off and was not wearing my shorts under him. So sometimes things can happen.
I can understand that one. Anyway, I think that's symbolic for Louisville's football season.
Inside Out sweatpants. I'm just telling you, fifth place, they should be lucky to be in fifth
place. First of all, I always hear about how powerful the ACC is. Well, if the ACC is so powerful,
maybe you deserve to be in fifth point.
And they're actually ahead of Florida State, and they got first place votes.
Georgia Tech is fourth.
Well, I could see being a little offended at Georgia Tech.
But didn't Georgia Tech?
Was it last year they played Georgia down with like the final play or something?
So yeah.
859-2-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-7.
Hunter.
Hey, Matt, I got two suggestions for you.
First one, you also really come to Barks Town.
We have a Don Franklin.
probably be an easy gift for you all to set up and we show out for everything.
Well, you do.
We've been in Marchtown.
You're right.
You get great crowds.
That's one of the better towns for crowds.
Go ahead.
I'm probably too young to remember y'all being here.
But anyway, second thing, you're all NFL show.
I like Drew's suggestions, but I have a better one.
What is?
Number two was Matt and Drew.
It's not bad.
It does rhyme, but I appreciate to call.
It does rhyme.
Appreciate the call.
I got a lot of suggestions.
Yeah.
I think cover zero is the best one I've seen.
We have the meeting today.
I'm going to bring that up as an idea.
Now, though, there's a bigger scandal than that.
Which is?
Which is the suggestions that came from the NFL guy,
they may have come from chat, GPT.
Not may.
if you put Matt Jones, Drew Franklin, NFL show,
that's the exact things that came up.
Nobody's using their brain anymore.
It's all going to chat GPT.
This was an NFL guy's suggestion.
Somebody's getting paid to do this.
Chat GPT.
A listener on KS board,
ask chat GPT and put a screenshot of what the top 10 were.
And it was Jones and for football.
It was all the ones you named.
It was the Bluegrass Blitz.
UK Andrew posted her.
boy wow I mean
Shannon
you got at least edit
I mean I would think so right
do you think nobody's going to go back and check
well I mean I to be honest I didn't
but then when you throw it out to the mask now to be fair
he probably didn't think I was going to say on the radio
he'll be on that meeting today hopefully he doesn't know
that I have kind of mocked his suggestions
but cover zero is a great one
because it's a double
meaning it's like something they do in football we have zero ability to cover anything and it's perfect
someone suggested plate of the nose whistle which i i laughed at that one i still yeah i think that's
very good for our audience blanket coverage is a good backup plan why blanket coverage because i just
lay on the couch under blanket watch football all day okay yeah we'd have a logo where we're in recliners
with blankets, just armchair quarterback kind of thing?
I think Cover Zero is going to be the suggestion I take to them for the meeting today.
And I'm going to call a guy out and say, you got those from chat, GPT.
Let's be honest here.
If we're going to work together, you're going to have to acknowledge you got those suggestions from chat, GPT.
And we had to do our own.
And we had to do our own.
859-28027.
Ask anything Thursday.
Be right back.
KSI.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney.
Call T.J.
He'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio, presented by.
Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones.
This is the new Big Tyler Children's song.
If there ever comes a time I got rabies, you'd be high on my biting list.
It's a great line.
Great line.
That's a great line.
This is probably one of my two favorite songs on the new album.
So he did a pop-up show yesterday at Dinosaur World in Cave City.
Saw that.
How about that?
Right next to the interstate.
Apparently you could see him as you drove down the interstate.
He was standing next that big dinosaur.
That where he did it?
Yes.
said welcome to the most magical place on the side of the highway yeah that's right so in there
i haven't seen a video of him performing yet but he was apparently standing there like with the
dinosaur next to him by the big dinosaur singing the band was singing right there they announced
it in the morning you had to be on his like via or his fan list or whatever and then they just
pulled it out in the dinosaur world yeah uh you know we've done there when they're also
We've been there.
So we kind of paved the way.
I put some videos on KSR that were shared on like a Barron County news site.
Oh, there is. You have one.
Yeah.
So you can go to KSR and see a few of them.
Is he dressed like the guy from Jurassic Park?
Yes.
Is that what he's dressed like the guy from Jurassic Park?
Let me see that.
Hang on.
Here, right.
But anyway, I caught wind of it late the night before and couldn't go.
But I thought if there's...
People in Barron County can't keep a secret.
It was supposed to be a secret.
And the night before, everyone in Barron County's like,
Tyler's coming to dinosaur.
world. So if I, if show him wasn't there, I'd have gone. I think it would have been awesome.
Yeah, you had to be in his, I think it's called the Hickman-Holler Hunting Club, where you get emails and
something went out late Tuesday night, like surprise. And then it's just too late to get it,
pull off. I love it. I think that's, uh, that's very, very cool. And, uh, for people who got to
go, that's really exciting. And dinosaur world of all places. Yeah. Kind of an iconic place.
You know, we all kind of laugh at it. But yeah, it's kind of everybody in the state knowing
exactly where it is. One person writes, if we beat Louisville this year, Vince Merrill will have to delete his
Twitter.
Might be true.
Yeah.
Shannon, it would be brutal.
Wouldn't it?
It would be hilarious.
He signed up for it, man.
Can I tell you, I'm going to give you a little hit.
So we are naming all of our menu items that we can after UK stuff.
Yeah.
So, you know, we had the chili Gillespie, but we're adding the clubby Smith.
Yes.
Love that.
But we're thinking about adding.
We have a burger that's going to be like everything on it and like an egg.
all that and we were going to call it the grown man burger but we're going to spell a grown
G-R-O-A-N.
Shout out.
Why not?
For viz.
I don't know if people will get it.
But those that do get it.
But as it do get it, it's going to be a grown man.
And then on the menu in the description, just say, for the big dogs.
That's a good idea.
This is what I do.
This is what you do.
You're made for this.
Yeah, I'm not good at many things, but ponds and stuff like that.
I think in the grown man burger in the explanation.
Every word, every word's got to be misspelled to some extent.
Every single one of them.
Let's go to Chief Smith.
Go ahead.
Hey, Matt, this is Keith in Ohio.
I just want to call and give Luke Fitz a shout-out.
He turned me on to Kentucky fandom.
I grew up being Ohio State fan for 30 years.
And then in 2020, he became a UK fan.
So it's been a tough.
Do you enjoy it?
So you've been an Ohio State fan?
But have you enjoyed your UK experience?
That's not a bad duo to get because you're good at both sports.
I love it.
Every minute of it, I hang on every minute of football and basketball.
Well, good.
I'm glad.
Yeah, and I grew up.
I was like, I love Ohio State football, but I can't see Ohio State football and Kentucky basketball.
That just does not work.
So you now, if Kentucky were to play Ohio State in a bowl,
game, which is very unlikely. Do you, you would, you would cheer for, would you cheer for Kentucky,
or would you cheer for Ohio State?
Catch all day.
Look at that.
That's a conversion.
Well, shout out to whoever your friend was that got you to do that and appreciate you
listening, Chief.
Yep, I appreciate it.
Appreciate it to call.
There you go.
That's kind of exciting, isn't it?
Probably not many people that would commit to making that switch.
Yeah, how many people switch from Ohio State football to Kentucky football?
But you know what?
You cannot accuse someone like that of being like a, you know, of getting on the bandwagon.
No, this is somebody who that's a man of character right there, Ryan, to make a decision like that.
Because, you know, every time we go up to northern Kentucky, we hear those stories of those people that say they know a friend who loves Kentucky basketball, but also Ohio State football.
Is there in Brattschall still in college basketball?
He transferred somewhere.
Yeah, he's in, where did he go?
Somewhere.
Oh, it's escaping my brain somewhere kind of south.
I'll get it.
Yeah, he's out of the third school now.
So he left Ohio State.
Completely escaping me right now.
But we don't know where he's gone?
It'll hit me.
Give me a minute.
It'll come up here.
I guess I could use my computer right in front of me, too.
Yeah.
I feel like he wasn't even highly...
I'm trying to think Aaron Bradshaw will be a junior?
Because he was in DJ Wagner's class.
Memphis. Memphis.
Memphis.
Okay.
All right, Memphis.
All right.
Let's go to Cam.
Go ahead, Cam.
Yeah, I had a suggestion for the new radio show.
Okay.
You know, again, I'll let this be the last one,
but you, Cam, you get to do it right here, okay?
All right.
Don't know how to feel special.
Let's go with call it on the air.
Okay.
Kind of a play on the coin toss.
All right.
I appreciate the call, but we don't take calls on the show.
So I don't know that that would be a good one.
But no, but we don't have to do.
No more suggestion.
This is like, honestly, Drew was put in this world to make
these jokes.
Drew, like literally, there's like three people that I know that I was saying this last night.
If I ever got asked to like write a movie script or a TV show, there are five people in my
friend group that I would make write the show.
Drew, Tomlin, Turkey Hunter, Mosley, and Duncan.
And that would be my comedy writing team.
But honestly, Drew would be in charge of all pun related names.
Thank you.
Me and my idiot friends, we practice every day.
in a group text.
Keep our brain sharp.
They're too good at it.
Corbyn, go ahead, Corbyn.
Hey, Matt.
I just had a recommendation for a spot
that you should have a Friday show at.
All right.
And I think you can come down to Carlisks.
By the way, the key.
This is Ask Anything Thursday, just for the record.
But go ahead.
This is just a recommendation,
but you should come down to Carlislew, Kentucky on a Friday.
And I could ask my dad,
because me and my dad listen to your show every day.
and we would hook you up with the best meal you've ever had.
Where is Carlisle?
Are you talking about, isn't that?
Where is that?
Nicholas County.
It's about an hour out of election.
Okay, yes, yes, yes, yes.
Okay, I do know where that is now.
Gotcha.
I've been to Nicholas County, and I appreciate the suggestion.
We will do one more of the call-in road show,
so you call and recommend Carlisle then.
I appreciate the call.
I don't think we've done a show in Nicholas County.
I don't think we've ever been to Nicholas County.
That would be one of the biggest selling points is because
before I retire, I want to have done a show in every county.
And we're down to, I think, 35 or 40 that we haven't done.
And so that would be nice to get one of those.
Do you remember, did you do one when you were doing the book tour?
You hit some of those.
Not in Nicholas County.
I did.
There were a handful of places that I hadn't done shows like Mead County,
Livingston County.
Yeah.
I did a few, but like I don't think we didn't.
You know, Nicholas County, small.
Yeah.
I just know it because their girls team wanted to.
state basketball championship in the 90s.
Look at you. You know everything. It was the 80s.
Yeah, close enough. Kim Nichols.
Long day.
Jim Dinkins.
You just thought the girl's name also happened to be the county?
It was Kim Dinkins.
I thought you stayed at Holiday Express last night.
Not one thing. Notice he gave three facts right there, none of which were true.
They're all true.
They're all true. Long days, warm nights and cold cans in hand.
That's what summer's all about. And how about cornbread hemp infused seltzers?
Big shout out, by the way.
You know, Rand Paul does think, who knew that in the last year he'd do more stuff I agreed with than ever.
He kind of maybe saved the cornbread hemps of the world.
It's like a Rand Paul Mitch McConnell fight.
And Rand stood up for the people.
There you go.

You got infused celtzers and more 20% off code KSR at checkout.

I'm going to talk.
There's a new set of code words that football players are using in their interviews.
And we're going to give them to you.
And then we're going to see how many times they say them tomorrow.
Okay.
I'll tell you what they are.
Okay.
Last night, a blown call changed a game.

The question is, how do you conquer them?
On hurdle with Emily Abadi, we sit down with the most inspiring women in sports and wellness,

It is Kentucky Sports Radio.

The text machine is 772-774-5254.
Folks writing in.
One person writes, Matt, have you heard from McDonald's people since your conversation the other day?
Yeah, have you, Matt?
Mc Tribe.
Bill pushback?
Okay, you know, I mean, the one I go to, still killing it.
Still doing well.
Still doing very well.
What person writes, Matt, have you talked to Vince since he left?
Yes.
Yeah, just for Louisville fans who are always like saying I'm always,
first of all, I've talked to Vince.
You know, most of that I'll just keep with he and I.
talking. It's been a positive. He, I don't think he likes that we make jokes, but he also understands
that we have to make jokes. He has to understand. So he'll be like, why, why are you got to say that?
And I'll go, because you're at Louisville. I told you this would happen. I told him in December.
I was like, if you go to Louisville, we won't stop. You sit on the air. You'll be little dog.
Or whatever. Like, I told him that. I'm also like, you know, he's moved to Louisville. I introduced him to
Craig.
I did like group text with a couple of big Louisville donors that I know just so that he would know who they were.
Don't act like I don't, you know, Louisville fans.
Oh, man, man, just trying to ruin a program.
You don't even know.
I want him to lose every game, but like, I mean, I knew somebody that could be helpful to him.
I was like, here's Vince, here's blah, blah, blah.
I hope you all lose every game.
But good luck.
Yeah, we love Vince.
I know his wife.
My wife knows her.
wish the best for him except for the actual outcome and results of Louisville football because I hate
when he wears sweatpants inside out I'm going to make fun of him I would make fun of you all in
this room for wearing sweatpants inside out. Imagine if Ryan walked in here with his sweatpants inside
out. Which is not too far-fetched. I mean, it probably has happened. We would never stop Shannon.
So of course I'm going to make, I mean, of course I'm going to make fun of Vince. And I actually think
me being friends with Vince drives Louisville fans even more crazy. Like it, I
It really makes them insanely mad.
Yeah.
You mentioned earlier him deleting his Twitter.
Has he done much tweeting since he's been there?
I feel like I haven't seen much because it would be hard to just suddenly flip your narrative there.
I'm not sure.
But I mean, our fans will never stop if we win.
Oh, no.
I mean, we won't.
Because remember at Louisville when he was on the good side, he tweeted from the sideline before the game was over.
talking trash. Yes, that's right. Yes, he did. I'm going to make you a prediction.
Vince will try at some point in his life to reconnect here. I don't know that means he'll
coach here again. But don't you think that probably happens? Yeah, he loves Lexington. He loves it.
Got a lot of friends here. I also,
I hesitate to say this, but I have what, there is one person on the text machine. I do not know
who they are. That I just Sidsby pictures.
events at restaurants in Louisville looking sad.
And he always just says, you know he wants to be back at Lexington.
I don't know if that guy, if they should get a restraining order on him or what,
but I think it's mostly because he goes to a one restaurant.
But anyway, it is what it is.
But like, we're going to give him a hard time.
And I told him that.
So he can't be upset about it.
No, when that offer was in front of him, he had to consider that the fan base
that's he's been beloved for over a decade is going to start joking on him.
It's just the way it goes.
All right.
So the phrasing that they're using, Ryan, is I was watching interviews with players,
and I want to see if we hear this tomorrow.
Okay.
We're going to count how many times they say discipline or urgency.
Okay.
Those are the words.
Okay.
Buzzwords.
They are clearly words that have been told because discipline and urgency.
So tomorrow when we have guests on here or when they're doing their press conference, I want to see
discipline and urgency.
And I like ring a bell every time we hear one of those words like, ding.
Discipline, urgency.
Ding.
Those are the two words that are kind of coming.
No one will say the word motivated.
They have come.
Those people on the internet have completely scared anyone on UK football from saying motivate,
which again, I don't understand they should embrace it.
But it'll be interesting to see if they say motivated, Shannon, maybe you put an X.
but they don't want to say
motivated. They do want to say disciplined at earth.
Got to do that tomorrow.
That's good.
Calzada, he said the word motivated, but only to say that doesn't describe our locker
room. It makes me think it's intentional.
Of course, they are intentionally telling them, do not say motivated.
And what's wrong with being motivated?
But part of me wants to see if I could say, would you say, if I were to give you two words
to describe, are you either lackadaisical or motivated?
Grateful is the other buzzword, too.
That's going to be the word they'll use.
Grateful.
All right.
So that way you get that as a check too, shanadden.
Grateful, discipline, urgency.
Also, we have Mark Popon, beautiful.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Extraordinary.
Elite.
Let's go to Alan.
Go ahead, Alan.
Hey, long time, listener.
This is the first time caller with you on Netflix.
So it's an honor.
Thank you.
Well, first of all, cover zero.
That's a great word.
It's a clever play on words.
I think that's great.
By any day, asking Thursday question to you is,
why did you never accept my Coralink email about six or seven years ago when I tried to reach out to you?
Except your what?
It's called a Coralink email.
I had a friend of my reach out to you.
I was going through a dark time.
Your guys' show really gave me a lot of laughs and lightened up my life.
And I just wanted to reach out to you some way to thank you guys.
I was in a position where I couldn't call on the phone.
So I sent an email request to you.
It's called Core Links for the federal prison system.
And my friend kind of explained my backstory to you.
Well, I don't know.
I get like hundreds of emails, so I may not have seen it.
but I would have accepted it if I saw it,
and I do appreciate you saying that we could have all been helpful.
That means a lot.
Yeah.
So it's just me saying, thanking you guys,
you bring a lot of laughter, a lot of joy,
and I'm just a big time, a Wildcat fan,
and I look forward to this on the days that I'm able to listen to you guys.
Well, thank you very much, and God bless you,
and I hope things continue to improve.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate. Yeah. And I'm glad he said that. Please understand. Like, if you, I try to respond to people, but I can't respond to everything. I either don't see it or something. You know, I mean, it's like anything. Sometimes you miss a text message on your phone. Now, imagine getting all these emails. And sometimes things go to your spam. So it's never personal. I can't believe you don't remember that email from 2018. I don't. It's never personal. I promise if I, if I, if I don't respond. Now,
If Mario doesn't respond, it is personal.
But for the rest of us, it's not personal.
J.D. Go ahead, J.D.
What's up?
Can you hear me okay?
Yes, I can.
So groan, G-R-O-A-N.
That's the motivational word for the season, right?
Well, it's good.
To me, it's like a, you know, it's a good reference.
It is a good reference.
It's a great reference.
And then real quick.
So I'm on the bandwagon with Shannon.
with 6 and 6 on the season.
So my question for you today really quick is,
how about we beat Louisville?
We're 5 and 6 going into that game.
Beat Louisville, go to a decent bowl game.
And then we make the final 4.
What are your thoughts?
Well, I mean, that's a heck of a year, I think.
I mean, I think if you told me today,
I appreciate the call.
Kentucky is going to go 6 and 6 in football,
go to a bowl game and make the final four.
I'm going to say this is going to be an awesome year.
in Kentucky Athletic.
We're all taking that.
Every UK fans taking that scenario.
I mean, I think you have to take it.
Because 6 and 6 to me, again, I hope I'm wrong.
But 6 and 6 to me is like best possible option in football.
I hope I'm wrong.
But, you know, I mean, I'm trying to be realistic.
And then football or basketball, Final 4 is always a great option.
So, yeah, you tell me I'm going 6 and 6 and going to Final 4.
Drew, I'm signing up for that tomorrow.
Had seen a Final 4 in a long time.
And like you, I'm happy with a bowl appearance this year.
However, it looks, whatever bowl, just get to six wins, and I'll call that a success.
And then we're not even including the women's basketball team looks like they're going to be stacked.
Baseball teams loaded up.
I think we're heading for a great year.
Volleyball team's going to be good.
I mean, I think UK athletics, if we could just make the football decent, I think it's set up for a great overall year of UK athletics.
Completely agree.
But the football is the one to me biggest question.
and we'll see.
It's going to be starting here very soon.
