Starting point is 00:03:31 We, getting ready, Kentucky and Nichols starts at 7. It is on ESPN Plus or SEC Plus, or at least according to Shannon, on YouTube if you search for illegal streams. We, you know, I always like to do, Ryan, information about the school, right? Drew gave us the basketball report yesterday. Yes. I like to tell you about the university. Okay. The problem is for Nichols, it is very.
Starting point is 00:04:01 very hard to find anything about them. I got you on this, too, if you need it. Well, I have a couple things. I'll tell you what, I'll do mine than you add, whatever, okay? It's in Tibado, Louisiana. Now, I found a lot more about Tibado than I did about Nichols. Would you like to know a couple things about Nick? Tibido, Ryan.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Yes, absolutely. Okay, so here we go. Shannon will appreciate this. It's been referenced in a number of country songs, including Jerry Reed's song Amos Moses. Do you remember that song? They called him, Lucas Moses. I've put that a lot on the show.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Yeah, I'll have to find the lyric, the line. But apparently he says something about Tibado, Louisiana. Tibado, Louisiana. How about that? He talks a lot through that song, right? Louisiana, Gator, going to get you, Amos. That's right. He says the gator's going to get you, Amos.
Starting point is 00:04:54 That's right. He just hit him in the head with the stump. Apparently, it's also mentioned in Hank Williams song, John Balaia down on the bio, right? All right. There's two songs. There we go. So you got two songs. People from Tibido include
Starting point is 00:05:11 a man who just passed away, Kyron Lacey, the football player for LSU. You know, the one that just died in the car wreck. A former chief justice of the United States Supreme Court, Edward White.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I bet you didn't know that, did you, Ryan? I missed out on that one. What's your favorite Supreme Court Justice, Ryan? Oh, Thorough Good, Marshall. Thorough Good? Yeah. Sandra Day O'Connor. She's up there pretty high.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Why did you like them? Because they were there forever. They were there for like when I was in school until just recently. Well, Thurgood Marshall, I think, died in the mid-90s, so it wasn't really recently. But otherwise, otherwise, I think that's right. And then that's really all I've got. There's not a whole lot about Nichols or Tibido. Now, Drew, did you find other things?
Starting point is 00:06:08 I have a few things. You're right. Very, very limited in what's going down in Thidado. It was named the best small town in Louisiana seven years ago. I guess it lost that title, but seven years ago, it was rolling. The Manning Passing Academy has been at Nichols State since 2005. So every year. Well, that's interesting.
Starting point is 00:06:28 So that's where they have it. Is it Tibido? Okay. Many, many, many great NFL quarterback started at the Manning Passing Academy, so they all know where it is. It's also the only... Do we know why they picked there? They could have conceivably gone anywhere. Why would they pick Tibado, Louisiana, you think?
Starting point is 00:06:45 I actually tried to do some digging on that. Couldn't find a clear answer. It's even called Manning Field at Nichols State, even though they don't have much of the connection there otherwise. Okay. It's the only school in Louisiana with a four-year culinary degree where you could actually actually just go get a degree in gumbo and cooking jambalaya and red beans and rice. I bet they've got good food there, though. If you get to cook Louisiana food and a culinary, like, I bet that now I feel like
Starting point is 00:07:13 we do our trip down south, we might have to go to Tibado. We should definitely pop in. I have two more basketball notes that I think we'll find interesting. That's about the extent of how it's an hour from New Orleans, about an hour 15 from Baton Rouge, if you're driving. So just to show you where it is there. on the basketball, they have a new player who played for Billy Gillespie last year. Nick Crass, he should start, but he was from Tarleton the last two seasons.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Wow, that he had some stories. Yeah. Yeah. Actually, I'd like you should interview him, Drew. I bet he has some interesting things to say. I'll try to do that tonight if they make him available. And just last season, they beat LSU. So, you know, not like a.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Not a pushover. The roster changed a little bit, but they did beat LSU. That's a little concerning. They beat LSU. All right. Well, there you go. It is a different team, but nevertheless. All right, so let's do a couple of news things before we get back to the phones.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Did you see Craig Skinner yesterday, Ryan, he got on a press conference, he got up on a table. Yes, he did. He stood up on a table, held his arms out, and begged the UK fan base to pack. Memorial Coliseum for their game Sunday against Tennessee. Did you love that move? I personally kind of liked it. I don't care if he's supposed to be the respected head coach. I just like the excitement and his dedication to trying to get people to come watch his team
Starting point is 00:08:46 because he's the best coach on campus. They're the best team on campus and people need to get out there to see him. So I'm all for it. I'm glad he did. I don't just like it, Shannon. I love it. We wouldn't have talked about his press conference otherwise, right? Yep.
Starting point is 00:08:57 This was, he understood the way to get people to care about this volleyball game in the press conference. Get on the table, right? Stand on your hands if you have to. Anything to get attention. He stands on the table, says, please come out on Sunday. I hope we pack the place now. They deserve it. And I think that was a great move by Craig Skinner.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Get the notice. Got the Skinner swag going on there. Number two team in the country, get out there and support them. They got Tennessee coming up. You've got to drown out that Tennessee orange with blue. Yes. All right. Just going to warn people here for a second.
Starting point is 00:09:31 For those of you that get a little triggered about such talk, you might want to walk away for two minutes. Uh-oh. Today is Election Day. It is. All right. Now, we don't, do we have any elections in Kentucky? I don't know of one. I didn't see one sign.
Starting point is 00:09:45 I didn't see any poll booth signs this morning. I didn't see anything. I assume we don't have one. Does anybody know of any election anywhere in Kentucky? Because I don't, I didn't hear of any. If they did, they didn't public. It's publicize it very much. No, I think schools are in, so.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Yeah. All right, so no election here, but we have some elections. I'm going to give you your election day, what to watch for, Ryan, okay? Okay, let's do it. The first biggest thing is the mayor of New York. Have you followed this race at all, the people running for mayor of New York? Because it is hilarious. And really, there's a guy in there that you all need to know.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Have you followed it at all? One of them is Cuomo, one of them? One of them is Cuomo, Andrew. Cuomo that's uh you know he was he was uh governor during you remember for a while right okay then there's the guy the go ahead the Zoron I don't know how to say his name he's the one that keeps popping up on my social media he's probably going to win his name is Zoron mom Dami he's only 31 years old he kind of ran a social media campaign and he took off and so a lot of people were worried because he claims to be like a socialist and he's probably going to win um he's the other but
Starting point is 00:10:57 That's not the one I want to talk about, Shannon. I want to talk about the third guy. Yeah. You, especially you, Shannon, need to look this guy up. I'm looking at him. His name is Curtis. Is it Silwa or Sliwa? S-L-I or S-I-E-E-E-E-R-E-E-E-W-E-E-E-W-E-E-E-CED.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Whatever you want to go with. Yeah. If you've not followed this guy, you need to do some research on him. He wears a red beret everywhere he goes. Why? Because he created the Guardian Angels. Do you remember the Guardian Aces? Back in the day, they would like, this is a crazy story.
Starting point is 00:11:31 He was working at McDonald's, okay? And I guess his McDonald's got robbed in the Bronx or whatever. And so he got a group of McDonald's employees to agree that after their shift every night, they would ride the subway to protect people. Now, they did a lot of stuff that was not good. So I'm not saying that, like, that should be praised. because apparently they became like a little rogue. You've heard of them.
Starting point is 00:11:58 They were big in the 80s, Ryan, right? The Guardian Angels. Huge. Huge organization. I think he started it, from what I understand. But he also has a crazy life. He was riding in the back of a cab once. Well, first of all, he had a radio show.
Starting point is 00:12:12 This is why I want to talk about it. He was like us. He had a radio show. And he would talk trash about the mafia. So, Shannon, he would come on the air and be like, John Gotti's killing people in the Bronx. Right. I'm not doing that.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Well, that's the thing. He just kept doing it. Every day he would go on the radio and he would talk trash about the mafia. And so eventually, you know what they wanted to do, Shannon? They wanted to kill him. Right. So he called a cab once and they, the mafia, instead went and picked him up and act like they were the cab. Oh.
Starting point is 00:12:46 They got him in the cab. They shot him a few times while he was in the cab. the dude one of the shots breaks the window of the cab he jumps out of the window of the cab at 45 miles an hour and rolls down the road
Starting point is 00:13:03 and gets away from my goodness what a story wow like crazy story the man is insane but like in an entertaining way well he is the Republican nominee
Starting point is 00:13:15 and he's actually he runs like every time because the Republican never wins but this time he's actually gotten some traction and it's probably going to get like 20% of the vote. But if you ever get a chance, Drew, you need to read the story about that guy. It's a, I don't think he should be the mayor, but he's a fascinating dude. I kind of do.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Yeah, that's all right. What's your mayor done? Is your mayor gotten shot in the back of the cab? Well, our mayor in Louisville has. Yeah, that's true. That's true. So, but my point is, you need to read about him. So that's the race today, Drew, going on with the guy who got shot in the Bronx.
Starting point is 00:13:51 It seems like it wasn't that long ago in politics. It would be like, oh, this person went to Harvard. This person went to jail. Look how it tells them they are. Now we've got guys getting shot five times climbing out of cabs. Times have changed a little bit. Times changed. That's exactly right.
Starting point is 00:14:05 And then there are other races. And I think there's a couple governors' races, et cetera. And then, Ryan, Dick Cheney died this morning. I heard that this morning. Former vice president under George W. Bush. They say, Ryan, the most powerful vice president in the history of America. in terms of that George Bush handed him so much to do that he was the most powerful vice president.
Starting point is 00:14:27 And here's the movie about him. What's the name? Vice, I think, is the name of it. It's a really, really good movie, if you ever get a chance. He passed away this morning as well. And unfortunately, for me, my one memory is it. Then he accidentally shoots somebody on a hunting trip one time. We talked about that, I think, didn't we, on the show?
Starting point is 00:14:45 Oh, yeah. He accidentally shot his friend in the face on a hunting trip. That's my memory of Dick Cheney. Yeah, he didn't die, but he did accidentally shoot his friend in the face. A lot of shooting talking about today in terms of the election. So rest in peace to Dick Cheney. Who's up next? Peggy.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Peggy, go ahead, Peggy. Morning, guys. Good morning. I'll have a complaint. Okay. About Cameron Mills. Okay. I think he is so rude to Dick Gabriel.
Starting point is 00:15:18 You mean Dave Baker? You mean Dave Baker? Yeah, Jack Baker, I'm sorry. Yes. He is always interrupting him. He shouts. He says the rudest thing. And I would love to go back to when we had, not Richie.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Oscar? Oscar? Or whoever. But. Anybody. I agree with you that he interrupts a lot, but does it, it feels like Dave Baker interrupts him too. It feels like they yell at each other a lot, though, don't they? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Yeah. So why is it just Cameron's fault? Because I think he disrespects him. He disrespects a lot of people. Okay. So you're anti- Cameron? Yes, I am. Are you pro Dave?
Starting point is 00:16:22 Yes. Okay. All right. Well, thank you, Peggy. Ryan, response? I think Dave Baker's got a sweetheart there and Peggy there. Peggy taking up for her man, taking up for Dave Baker. Except she thought he was Dick Gabriel.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Who's being disrespectful to Dave Baker? Cameron Mills or Peggy called by the wrong here? Yeah, Dave gets no respect. Cameron interrupts him, and Peggy thinks he's Dick Gabriel. I think we're going to have Cameron Mills slander here on the show this morning. Cameron and Dave are like the two Muppets, the two Jopets. the two judges that set up in the balcony and just arguing bicker back and forth. That's true, man.
Starting point is 00:16:53 When they go at each other, they really do go at each other. Like I assume, Drew, that they like each other, but sometimes if you listen, you wouldn't know. Is it a bit? You know, I hear it too. Is it just part of their charm, but their chemistry? Or do they really think, oh, here, I got to go sit down with him. What are you, Ryan, you know them both better than I do. Do they like each other or not?
Starting point is 00:17:19 They 100% like each other. It's more of just that's how they're, that's their bit. Why do they talk like each other? Like people give me a hard time for what I say to you, but we clearly have affection. I don't hear the affection with the two of them. I don't know. That's just, you know, in this day and age of media, you got a scream and holler. It seems like on every AESPN show.
Starting point is 00:17:39 You don't have to. But they 100% like each other. That is total just part of the act for the pregame show. I can tell one person, Shannon, that does not like them. He is not happy. At least with Cameron. She likes Dick Gabriel. 8.9-2-8027.
Starting point is 00:17:56 Cornbread hemp. Maybe those two guys need some cornbread hemp, don't you think? I think so. Some yosies, some seltzers. It'll relax them, make them say, hey, you know what? We're chill. There's a game tonight between Kentucky Nichols. What you think, Cam?
Starting point is 00:18:11 That's what they should do. Cornbreadhimp.com. promo code KSR up to 30% off. They can help you sleep. They can help you relax. or as Shannon will tell you, you can drink the shelters and you'll be just completely mellow. It is cornbread hemp and cornbread hemp.com. We'll take a break.
Starting point is 00:18:28 Be right back. KSR. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending. Opinions are flying. And nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where sports slice comes in.

I'm talking, Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark. Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
Starting point is 00:19:46 And we're still chasing it. And we don't know when we've done enough. Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth, or are you a good person because you're afraid? Because that's two different intentions, bro. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:20:03 And that's two different levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person. Starting point is 00:20:22 Jacob Kingston grew up in an isolated polygamous sect. We were God's chosen kingdom on earth. He felt destined for greatness. So when a swaggering Armenian businessman catapults Jacob into an extraordinary world, he doesn't look back. Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, meeting the president of Turkey. I'm Michelle McPhee, and this is one of the most shocking criminal conspiracies I'm ever come across. When Jacob met Levan this plant to a billion dollar fraud. But with two kings from entirely different worlds, just how long can their empire survive? The largest tax
Starting point is 00:21:02 investigation in American history. You need to tell me what you know. Is somebody coming after me? Jacob told Levan, you're ruining my life. Listen to Kingdom of Fraud on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast. Life throws hurdles big and small. The question is, how do you conquer them? On hurdle with Emily Abadi, we sit down with the most inspiring women in sports and wellness, professional athletes, coaches, and Olympic champions to talk about the challenges that shaped them and the mindset that keeps them going.
Starting point is 00:21:38 From the WNBA standout Kate Martin and rising hockey star Layla Edwards. If a boy can do it, I don't see why a girl can't. Like, I've never understood that. Like, it didn't make sense in my brain. It's hard to be in spaces that no one looks like you, but don't ever feel like you don't belong. Don't let that be the reason you don't do it. An Olympic champs Gabby Thomas and Katie Ladeki.
Starting point is 00:21:57 The ability to show a gold medal to someone and have their face light up and smile, that means the world to me. And that's what motivates me to win more gold medals. At our level, at this scale, like being able to fail in front of the entire world. Like, I can do anything. I can do anything. because resilience isn't just about winning.
Starting point is 00:22:18 It's about showing up, even when it's hard. Listen to Hurtle with Emily Abadi on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. There it is. There you go. 45 minutes from eastern Tibido, Louisiana. So it's not Thibodeau, it's Tibido. Tibido.
Starting point is 00:22:39 H is silent. 859-2-80-2-2-2-8. Drew, I'm just going to tell you, Peggy ain't alone in her feelings. Oh, okay. The text machine has lit up. Dave Baker. A lot of people with sympathy for Dave Baker. I don't ever hear this.
Starting point is 00:23:02 I mean, we talked about it like a year or two ago about how they argue, but is it ramped up to another level or something, Drew? Because there's a lot of people with some Cameron thoughts. And apparently, Peggy was probably talking about. Rex, not Oscar, because Rex did it before Cameron. Okay. I, you know, I get to Rob about an hour before tip-off, so I'm missing most of it. I only hear the 10, 15 minutes from KS Bar to downtown, so I'm not as well-versed in it, but I know it exists.
Starting point is 00:23:31 You know, you can even, I even hear it in what little bit I get before each game. I might have to read a few of these. One person writes, Peggy's not wrong. When you guys in the pre-game show, I just start hearing Cameron yelling, and it stays in my mind until I go to sleep that night. A little over the top. What? That's what they said.
Starting point is 00:23:52 One person writes, Cameron yells at Dick. Actually, they used that for a different sentence. Cameron yells at Dave so much. I feel bad for him. And I used to think Dave was the person that interrupted. He stands no chance against Cameron. Another person says, though,
Starting point is 00:24:15 I'm team Cameron. Dave always acts like he knows basketball and he doesn't. Cameron has to put him in line. Well, it sounds like these people have strong feelings. Drew, that's good, right? That means the show, you know, people have strong feelings. Yeah, some of them even know the names of the host, which is always good. Cameron does, especially now in the Pope era,
Starting point is 00:24:37 add some perspective plan for Petino in that era. That is unique and that Dave can't, you know, match. but I like when they get to bickering. I cannot believe how many people are writing in about this. Well, because they had a couple. Peggy has tapped a vein in the UK fan base
Starting point is 00:24:58 that I did not know existed. They had a couple, what we call them, dust-ups in the past couple years. They appeared to really get mad at each other, but then they said afterwards, you know, it's just debating.
Starting point is 00:25:10 They're just debating a topic on the show. I don't think they're really mad at each other. you don't think or you don't know I don't think who's up next Madison Madison how are you how many questions
Starting point is 00:25:24 I got two of them Matt okay one you all were talking about the start of the college basketball season what's the most exciting game
Starting point is 00:25:35 but do you think it'll be the Pope and Patino game or yeah I think so I think just just for the sort of symbolism of them playing each other. I think it's Pope and Patino. That's what I would say. Just for that reason, I don't know if it'll be the best game. I mean, the game I'm worried about losing the most is the one next week to Louisville. I actually think that's the hardest game in our non-conference schedule
Starting point is 00:25:59 because we may not have a full team and we're playing a true road game. So if you're asking me the game, I think it'll be the most exciting. It would be St. John's, but if you're asking me the game, I'm worried about the most, it's probably Louisville. And then two, how many fans do you think will show up for the UK Florida football game? Appreciate the call, Madison. Yeah, I don't know, Drew. I mean, it probably won't be full, but I'd expect it to be, what do you think, about like the Texas game, maybe a little bit fewer?
Starting point is 00:26:33 Yeah, I don't think it'll be close to full. And with the Texas game, you had visiting fans. I don't know if Florida fans are going to be here in November with no Keenland and everything else going on. but with the win, I think they're going to avoid a disaster situation. I thought if they had gotten killed at Auburn, this was going to be the statement game, but I think some fans are just eager to see what they can do next and really supportive of Bowley and the young guys who've stepped up
Starting point is 00:26:56 and looked like they still want to finish this season strong. I think it'll be a good crowd, right. I mean, I don't know, probably not the Texas game, probably more than Tennessee less than Texas. Would you put it like that or no? I would. I mean, despite the growing apathy that's happened the last couple of years, years. Our fans have still shown up to all these home games. They haven't won any, but they've been showing up.
Starting point is 00:27:18 And you're right, the Texas crowd was good. The Tennessee crowd was good. And I think this Florida crowd may still, like, Drewson, won't be packed. What's the weather? What's the weather supposed to be? I haven't looked. Last I looked like, I think it said, like mid-40s. I didn't see much about any rain or anything.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Well, for comfort level, that's, you don't want it to be cold. But to beat Florida, you might want it to be cold. Because they haven't played a game in this temperature in years for Florida. I don't even know how long it's been. I wanted to be freezing cold, though, though that's on that sideline for Florida, actually when they come up here in November. Who's up next?
Starting point is 00:27:49 Matt. Matt. Go ahead, Matt. Hey, guys, chilling out in my garden, barefooted, in the day shine, going to do my daily meditation after the show. I've got a comment and two questions real quick.
Starting point is 00:28:04 You get two. You don't get three. Okay, well, Mike, I'll do a comment and then a question. Y'all was talking about. about goat yoga yesterday. It really is bad. I did it in Orlando, Florida, and you get to pick which goat you want,
Starting point is 00:28:22 and I picked the smallest one. But the whole time I was worried about it, you know, going number two on me or trying to eat my hair or anything like that. Yeah. I have the same worries about when I do stuff with Shannon, so I understand exactly what you're talking about. What's your question?
Starting point is 00:28:39 All right. How do you think we can match up to Louisville if we at least have one of our point goal. I haven't seen them really play. I didn't watch the game with Sacramento State. You know, I watched a little bit of their game against Kansas and they kind of got run off the floor, but I don't know to what extent exhibition game, what that matters. I mean, they beat Sacramento State or whatever, South Carolina State or whatever, by 80
Starting point is 00:29:04 points last night. So I appreciate the call. They've got a lot of depth. They probably, you know, they might be a little bit more athletic at the starting positions than us. We might be a little better off the bench. But I don't really know. I mean, I think it's going to be an unknown. We're going to go in there and anything can happen. But for me, you've got to tell me are the point guards playing?
Starting point is 00:29:28 If they're playing, we got a chance. If they're not playing, I think I would probably go with Louisville, Drew. Do you agree? Yeah, I got to get those guys back. It's hard to read anything. Louisville had 60 points in the first half last night. But we clearly looked good in some of the. That team played.
Starting point is 00:29:43 They were terrible. We'll be right back. T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney. Call T.J. He'll make them pay. Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones.
Starting point is 00:29:56 I love this song, Shannon. Meo Mio, son of a gun. On the bio. That's right. This is a great song. Hank Sr. Crawfish pie. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:30:09 When we do our trip to South, I'm going to make you. you go get some food with me, Ryan, in Louisiana. Would you say, if you were to say what state has the best food? Does Louisiana win? Well, if you like that kind of food, I'm not that crazy about Cajun food. But it doesn't just have to be Cajun, just everything. Like they have, you know, it's like a mix of Southern and then Cajun.
Starting point is 00:30:36 You're just, you're not buying it? I'm not. So what would your state be then? What would your state be? I like seafood. I would probably pick, I guess, probably Florida. They do have good seafood. Good, nice seafood restaurants down there.
Starting point is 00:30:49 If you like seafood, though. Yeah, I mean, you have to like seafood. Yeah. New York's got the best as far as, like, just everything you want. New York would have everything. See, I would like it. I would go Louisiana, for me personally, number one. If you like seafood, like Boston has really good seafood,
Starting point is 00:31:09 especially like, you know, Maine. Do you like lobster, Ryan? Yes, I do. Okay, so then Maine is where you want to go for lobster. We've been there. You're a foodie. What would you have, Drew? Oh, me.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Louisiana is high in the conversation. Probably my number one. Maine's close. I did my own lobster catching last summer. But then loving Mexico and Mexican food, I would need to get close to Mexico. So I might even include, like, Texas for Tex-Mex or California as a third. See, you and I are. in the same page. I mean, I probably would say
Starting point is 00:31:44 Louisiana and Texas would be two of my top. Shannon's right. New York has everything, but there's not like a definitive New York food. Shannon, it's just got everything you would want. Yeah. Pizza is a big thing. What do you consider to be the worst food? What worst state
Starting point is 00:32:00 for food? Like when you think of, I would be like I would never want to eat food there. Indiana. Harts me. It hurts. I mean, that's not a bad I feel like West Virginia would be everything fried, but, I mean, I kind of like fried food, but... Yeah. Their little pizza rolls are very overrated.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Yeah. And I hope someone from West Virginia hears that. They're terrible. I think you're kind of right about West Virginia. Because Kentucky has a lot of the same stuff, but it doesn't feel as quite as heart-clogging. Yeah. I feel like West Virginia, they just gave up. See, Indiana, those... Indiana is a good one because it's Midwest, and generally speaking,
Starting point is 00:32:40 I'm against Midwest, except they have great beef in the Midwest, but I don't think, does Indiana have beef? Oh, yeah, what's their food? Beef and corn. But if I'm going to get beef and corn, I'm going to go to Iowa or one of those states. Steve Grissom, just right over here, Nochalinda Farms. Yes, I'm going to Nochalinda Farms. Like, why am I going to Indiana for anything except sadness? My mom's deviled eggs.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Yeah, but, I mean, your mom doesn't sell those. I mean, like, it's just at her house. I don't think the whole country. I don't think we can all go to her house. And Shannon learned to love those in Florida, so you can't even give those in Indiana. That's right. I can't think of an Indiana food at all. I can't either.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Or even a restaurant. Yeah. Well, they have that one place that everybody likes in Indianapolis, the steakhouse. All right, St. Elmo's. St. Elmo's. But, I mean, steakhouse. There's some really good, like, Amish restaurants I like that's kind of different. I think you're answering our question.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Yeah. You haven't been to the right places, the Hobbs steakhouse? I'm going to say, you think I'm in. You think I'm exaggerating. There have not been many topics in recent weeks that have gotten more comments than this Cameron, Dave Baker stuff. Pro or con? I mean. Pro Dave, con, Cam.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Cameron needs to work on his PR. I'm not, I'm just saying there's a lot of Cameron negativity. One person writes, Matt, I'd like to hear you host a show with Cameron. neither of you would be able to speak from having cut off the other one. It would be talking over each other that whole show. I kind of wouldn't like to hear that. See, I don't listen to it, so I didn't realize. I mean, we had this conversation a couple years ago,
Starting point is 00:34:20 because didn't one of them, like, walk out? They had a little dust up one time. They sounded like it got a little heated. Did somebody walk out? I don't remember that. Somebody walked out, I think, or somebody's telling me people walked out. Do you remember? I don't remember that got to.
Starting point is 00:34:37 that bad, but I think they went to a commercial break. Billy may have been running the board that day. He's standing right outside here. Don't put it on Billy. Billy, doesn't listen to Ryan trying to throw Billy under the bus. Don't put it on Billy. This is not on Billy. He can answer the question and what happened that day.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Yeah, but he's... It works still. You can't. You can't do that. There's kind of a you know, there's an implicit you don't, you don't talk about that stuff. But apparently... We're not affiliated. They went to commercial once. is this right ryan they went to commercial once and people thought one of them might not return maybe that's what it was i don't think anybody really walked out but they went to a commercial
Starting point is 00:35:15 and settled it during the commercial break and i don't remember what the dust-up was about i just remember they were kind of yelling at each other you know i actually used to host that show shannon yes you did i hosted it with oscar for a few years did you and i loved it i loved it ever yelled at each other no not at all i loved it like sitting there with oscar i felt like i was talking with my grandpa and we were just i would tweet this was and we were doing it during the really good cow years. He and I did it from 2013 to 2016 or 17. I got, it was, they kicked me off of it when I started doing, hey, Kentucky.
Starting point is 00:35:54 They wouldn't let me do it anymore. But we got, I know we did it during the 38-1 run. And I loved it. I loved doing it with him. We'd talk about stuff. He'd bring up players from the past. He was so good with callers. because a lot of the callers wanted to ask him about
Starting point is 00:36:10 I love doing it with Oz. If you're talking about some of the stuff that gave me the most joy hosting that pregame show with Oscar and the connection that gave me to, you know, I mean, I listened to Oscar with my grandfather years ago when he did it and getting to do that
Starting point is 00:36:27 and that was awesome. Remember, we would do the pregame show right there in the lobby so I could run in there and do the other one. You would do our pregame show, do the network pregame show, show and then do the sideline during the game broadcast. I did the sideline during the game.
Starting point is 00:36:43 And the post game show after it was over. It was too much me probably in the end. Who's next? Nick. Nick, go ahead, Nick. Hey, guys. How's it going? Happy game day.
Starting point is 00:36:55 So watch the video Tyler put out yesterday. I think it was the season prediction video. I'm sure you all seen that. So y'all participated in it. I'm curious of you for who's got the hottest hot take about this. season. The hottest hot take about the season. Yeah, like Tyler said that we're going to lose to Arkansas, Bud Walton, and then we're
Starting point is 00:37:18 going to turn around and beat him in the SEC championship. Ooh, I like that one. I actually think that's a really good pick by her. That is a good one. I thought that was good pick. I think that's a really good pick. Who's got the hottest? Yeah, well, I appreciate the call.
Starting point is 00:37:28 I would say, well, I'll tell you what, I'll use Tyler's and do it a different way. I think we lose Tuesday at Louisville and then beat them in the elite eight, Drew, to go to the final four. Oh, the old double-dip on Louisville like we did a couple times in the past. I think we'll lose to Louisville in the regular season next week. But then we'll beat them to go to the final four in the tournament. What's what about yours? I'm trying to come up with one right now.
Starting point is 00:37:56 I did the video and don't even know what I said. I've been to show with somebody. I said they'd lose to Louisville. They'd lose to Calipari and they'd lose the Patino, but yet make it to the final four. Oh, you got us losing to all three of them. Yeah. Wow. So you got a Kelsey Patino-Cal triple header of losses. But yet they still make a run and go to the final four. So the losses won't win. Interesting. That is a hot take. I like that.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Shannon, do you have one? Kentucky loses to Nichols tonight and then goes to the final four. I don't have one. I have no, I don't really have one. Loses to Nichols? I really don't have one. All right. Drew, do you remember what yours was since you actually did it? No, I have no idea. I'm trying to, I don't have them losing a non-conference game, so I can't come up with a hot one there.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Wait a minute, hang on. You have them losing no non-conference games? Yeah. Well, that's a hot take. There you go. There's my hot tag. They win the non-conference. I do need people to know that Stephen asked me these questions after the Purdue game that night.
Starting point is 00:38:58 So I might have even said 40 and O. I was in a different headspace when I did this question. That's a hot take losing no non-conference games. I like that one. Who's next? Storts. Storts. Storts.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Go ahead. Storts. Hey, fellas. Matt, I got some statistics for you, okay? Okay. These are fun football statistics. I got nine coaches. You guys tell me whether the Grim Reaper Stoops knocked them out or didn't knock them out.
Starting point is 00:39:25 And he was involved with all of them. First one is September 13th, 2014. UK 30, UF 36 and triple over time. Did they knock Will Milt's champ out? I think he went a little longer, but he lost. his job that year. You are correct. You are correct.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Next one. September 12th, 2015, U.K. 26, South Carolina 22. Steve Spurier quits. He quit at the, he didn't quit that game, but he did quit at some point. He did, but Kentucky got a lot of credit for that one. Yes. November 24, 2018, UK 56, Louisville 10, Bobby Petrino, quits. Done, yes, correct.
Starting point is 00:40:10 That's a no. Actually, it's a trick question. He quit right before that game. That's right. He did quit before that game. I forgot. You're right. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:40:22 Okay. Actually, let me go. October 17th, 2020. UK 34, Tennessee 7, Jeremy Pruitt. I think he left that year, but I don't think he left after that game. He did. He left the end of the end of the year under pressure. October, or I'm sorry, December 5th, 2020, South Carolina, 18, UK 41, will M.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Must champ fired in November. We must champ, we put out twice. That was the second time, yes. And actually, I just, this trick question gave you the answer. Incorrect. No, that was another one. He quit right before the game. We played them December 5th.
Starting point is 00:41:04 He quit in November. All right, I'm going to have to go to break. I'm going to break. I'm going to go to break. Give me the other times we've knocked to coach out because these are, this is actually good. What are the other times? You freeze and who else? Okay. Well, there's actually two more. One, Florida at UK, October
Starting point is 00:41:22 of 21, LSU at UK. It is kind of amazing. Appreciate the call. That we've been a coach killer. I mean, Stoops really has gotten a lot of coaches fired over the years. Yeah, and it also, it hurts him a little bit because teams will point to his big wins and say, well,
Starting point is 00:41:38 those teams weren't good. And it's like, well, you think of those teams not being good because they lost to Kentucky. Because they lost us. That happened to Florida, a bunch. Yeah. Shannon, clear the lines, okay? All right. I'm going to give away.
Starting point is 00:41:51 I've got tickets for the game tonight, including two very good ones. Fill up the lines. I need your quickest, because these always make people grown, your best joke. Okay, that's it. Best joke.
Starting point is 00:42:03 The best joke will sit on the seventh row for the game tonight. 859-280-2287. But if it's not good, I'll be upset. Best joke. But remember, Kentucky families are struggling to access. Well, this is a terrible transition.
Starting point is 00:42:17 That's okay. Just do it. It's fine. We've got to get them in. That's a terrible transition. Remember in Kentucky, all right, nevertheless. Kentucky families are struggling to access what could be basic essentials, housing and child care. And the Kentucky Chambers is focused on improving access to housing and child care.
Starting point is 00:42:32 They've been talking about this for over a year. Now they're asking us to help. Go to Opportunity Starts here. Opportunity starts here. Add your name and tell lawmakers about how important. housing and child care is to a stronger Kentucky. Opportunity starts here with the Kentucky Chamber. We'll be giving away.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Here's the thing. I've got three sets of tickets. Drew, I'll let you pick one. Ryan, I'll let you pick one. And Shannon, I'll let you pick one. Perfect. And the one I think's the best will be the one that gets on the seventh row. Okay, of the three.
Starting point is 00:43:07 You do it. All right. We'll take a break. It'll be right back. KSR. Last night, a blown call changed the game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you

I think that's what they like to call themselves, Drew, the country bumpkin mom and pop places. Yeah. Those are the best ones. Is that on their sign? I think they prefer a different.

They asked them their last request. The Tennessee fan said, please just let me hear a Rocky Top one more time. the Georgia fan said, shoot me first. All right, so there you go.

The guy holding the dog, Brian gets my dog. I hold the dog. So Shannon, he'll get tickets. tickets. Ryan, who gets tickets?

I got to go with Bubba just because of his name. Drew gets Bubba. So death row out, crow out, Wilson, Louisville out. I get to choose between them.
