2287. The text machine is 772-745254. One person writes Matt on Thursday night football last night.
Al Michael said tie goes to the runner. I was in my house correcting him as he said it.
I got many messages. It does not go to the runner. They said that shin and there was a fumble and both teams recovered.
Yep. And Al Michael said, I guess the team that I don't know, I guess he meant the offensive team gets it because he said tie goes the runner.
And I was at home going, no, no, no, tie goes to the fielder.
Maybe in football it does, but in baseball, we learned yesterday.
Tie goes to the defense.
So there were some people thought that, like, they never heard anybody say that,
but me, maybe it's just an old man thing because how Michael said it Ryan yesterday as well.
I've heard it my whole life.
Ty goes to the runner.
I've never heard it football.
Tie goes to the offense.
First time I've heard this little controversy even come up.
Yeah.
It's clear you wouldn't listen to Kay.
It goes to the, I know when you catch a pass, if both guys catch it,
it goes to the receiver over the defender.
I do know. I saw that happen in the game early.
Well, we learned that at our rules meetings, supposing that we had to go through.
That's right. We did.
Clearly, Al Michaels doesn't listen to KSR.
We cleared this up for everyone yesterday, which was quite shocking when we found out.
859-280-2287.
All right, a couple very important things here.
Number one, Travis Kelsey was on a podcast.
He was asked about his relationship with Taylor Swift.
This is very important.
He said that in two years of dating Taylor Swift, they've never once fought.
He was like, I've never one time gotten in an argument with her in two years.
And Jason Kelsey's wife was like, shut up.
That's impossible.
And he was like, no, never once.
And she said, no couple can date two years, none, and not getting one argument.
Do you believe you can go two years dating anyone and not getting an argument?
100% no.
Just an argument?
Yeah, an argument.
me you're going to have it.
You're living together and just putting your underwear on the floor.
There's going to be something that's going to cause a little argument.
There was, I mean, there was no reason to put.
That was the example.
I mean, that's a perfect example because, like, he didn't need to bring up underwear.
He could have said anything.
You could argue about carrots.
You could argue about anything.
There's no reason to say underwear.
You just want a reason to say underwear.
You just want to say that.
And, like, you get a little grin.
Like, I got to say underwear.
I see it in your face.
It's not necessary.
So you don't believe them. What about you? No, I don't believe them at all. I'd say they've had several.
In fact, it makes me wonder that she's like standing over his shoulders saying, tell them we've never had a fight.
They've had to have fought at some point. Have to. Shannon? Yeah, I don't believe them either. I wonder, though, do they live
together? Because if you don't live together and Taylor Swift has got busy. Oh, you think if they don't live together,
maybe you can not fight? Maybe they don't talk that much, you know, maybe just on the phone and there's nothing to argue about.
Plus, she is Taylor Swift, and she's got a lot of money.
So if you're Kelsey, you'll probably just shut up and take it.
So it sounds like you think it could happen.
It could if they don't live.
If they live together, no.
If you see them like 24-7, no way.
But if you don't, maybe it's possible.
So I was just sitting here trying to think about my relationships in my life.
And this may surprise you.
I've never been one that didn't have an argument.
The person I dated in college, though, we argued...
Almost never.
But that was because she was a really kind person.
So I think it's plausible.
But do you know of a couple in your, like,
do you know anyone that you think is your friend that's a couple that has never argued?
Because I don't.
I was trying to, like my parents are the two kindness people I know, literally,
the two kindness people.
And they've argued.
Sure.
So I can't think of how you wouldn't argue
If there's a couple out there that's not arguing
Or pretending to not argue
I expect to see them on Dateline in a few years
Because that's just not normal
You think what I'm going to commit murder?
Those are psychopaths
If they don't have just a general argument
Over something little to
Like you said carrots
Sometimes you have argue over carrots
Yeah
Sometimes the more little the thing
The worst the argument
And then you laugh about it and move on
I'm not going to ask you, Ryan,
if you've ever been in an argument
with your with your barrier because i've seen some um but uh but yeah i don't believe in
do you know of anyone no no i can use yoga grown eyes an example we hardly ever fight but
we have had arguments yeah i've seen you all argue no you haven't not yoga girl
not at all it was pilates girl oh i was pilates girl all right i'm just going to no comment that uh well
No, I don't believe them.
I don't believe it either.
Okay volleyball wins yesterday.
They beat Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo.
Destroyed them.
I mean, first set was competitive.
By the third set, they won 25 to 7.
The blocking was not a successful venture.
What about that crowd?
Basically a full crowd on a Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
That was impressive.
That was definitely impressive to see the place full.
Then it got over like super quick.
I turned it on.
It was already almost over in the third set.
Yeah, I mean, I was late getting to it.
It was almost over when I turned it on.
So they didn't really get to see a lot.
Cal Poly went up early in the second set, not that anyone really felt threatened.
But that third set, they made quick work of them.
Lizzie, you know, with Eva Hudson and Brooklyn Delay, we focus on them a lot.
But Lizzie Carr.
And it's Andrew Carr's sister.
People don't realize from last year.
Yeah.
So, I mean, we expected it to win.
But, I mean, it was pretty quick work.
As you all mentioned, you sit down to watch, and it's pretty much over at that point.
All right.
Saturday, they play Creighton to go to the final four. I think it's important to note,
like this would only be our second final four, right? Yeah. We've won a national championship,
but that was our only final four we ever been to. I mean, this is still an historic thing. This
would only be our second final four. We're hosting. Crayton is a three seed. They went to the
elite eight last year, but lost. Historically, I think they've been a good volleyball program. They've
won 23 straight games. Now granted they play, I think, in the Big E's, so that's in volleyball,
not the best conference in the world. The games at five, the basketball games at 730. It'll be
interesting here at the bar before the game. We'll have like probably our normal pregame crowd
and have the volleyball game on and the pregame show. So tomorrow here at like 5 o'clock,
it's going to be kind of a happening place. Are you, do you feel good about our chance against
Creighton? I heard Craig Skinner say they're a consistent.
consistent team. You can't score four or five in a row on them, but your best chance into them is to play consistently and then pick your spots.
This volleyball team is so good at you, Cam. They're just dominating people. I'm really glad the game will be on during our pregame show so you can use all your background and your vast volleyball knowledge, blocking skills.
I have not studied Creighton, so I don't know what they do. You better get on it before the show and then tomorrow.
It's also a great chance to have a huge crowd. I mean, you could go to that game and then go to the Kentucky, Indiana,
basketball game, it'll probably be actually perfect timing to go to both if you wanted.
Yeah, even if people don't do the doubleheader, I don't think the Kentucky basketball game will
impact the volleyball crowd at all. They're going to get a great crowd. When they panned it yesterday,
you could see people up in the top corners. I think they don't think they called it a sellout.
I don't know where the empty spots were when they were showing the crowd on TV, but I think it'll be
completely full again Saturday. And as I've mentioned before, having gone to those,
there's just so much energy and excitement. I think that can really help push Kentucky over the top.
Who, and I know Drew probably can, so I don't want you to answer it.
Who can remember the last time we played Creighton in basketball?
Do you remember?
Okay, hang on before you say it.
Anybody out here?
Remember the last time we played?
What you got?
Gillespie's NIT.
That's exactly right.
We won at Creighton, kind of a surprising win.
I think they were probably supposed to be.
We went to Omaha.
Is that where they are?
We went to Omaha.
I managed to go to Omaha and not get sued.
And we, uh, did you go to that game?
No, that, no, I didn't because I, we, we were preparing for the firing that we knew was happening.
There was his last game. He's supposed to get fired.
No, well, if he lost.
Yeah.
But then they went to, they had to go play Notre Dame because they, so they beat UNLV here, then went to Creighton and we're playing Notre Dame in the elite eight, which if they had won, they would go to the final four in Madison Square Garden.
But they ended up losing at Notre Dame.
That was the game, Jody Meeks refused to come out to start the second half of the game.
weird little nugget of our basketball history that whole Billy Gillespie postseason that year, the NIT.
Well, I think one of the more fascinating things is what happened between that Creighton game and Notre Dame.
Because, like, this is sort of a lost part of UK history.
We beat Creighton in a game that I think everyone thought we were going to lose.
Yes.
So I think Mitch was like planning on firing Billy the day after the Creighton game.
But then we won.
But Word kind of leaked out.
He was going to get fired, but we still had another game.
Uh-huh.
Billy went and took two high school commits.
He went and got two commitments between those.
I'd forgotten that.
I was working.
The Connor Tucker Band and someone else.
I can't remember.
But he knew he was going to get fired likely.
And I think he just thought, if I keep taking commitments,
they won't be able to fire me.
I'll just keep giving it more good news.
And then if you talk to players on the team,
like he went like even meaner.
in between that.
To the point, he screamed at Jody Meeks so much at halftime at Notre Dame.
Jody Meeks was stayed in the locker room.
They came out for the second half and Jody was not there.
Had to go in and get him, right?
They had to, I think it was Glenn Cyprian, like begged him to come out,
and finally Jody did.
And I think he runs on the court, like, moments before they inbound the ball to start the second half.
Crazy history, part of that.
You know, I'm trying to remember they had to play.
the UNLV game in Memorial Coliseum?
Because the boy sweet 16.
Because the boy sweet 16, yes.
I was in that game as a fan.
Remember it well.
I don't remember the gap between Notre Dame and Cutler Chase.
How long of a window was there between getting home from the NIT and then Billy driving around hiding?
I think the second round game of the NIT was maybe on like Thursday, Friday, Saturday, something like that.
And then the Sweet 16 was like on, or the elite eight was like on the Tuesday after.
So it was like a four or five day period.
And in that time, he went and got the commitment.
And then shortly after the Notre Dame loss.
So he gets fired.
Oh, so Notre Dame, they lose.
Yeah, how long was he back in Lexington before he's hiding?
The next day.
The next day.
It was the next day.
Because we got to call that morning.
I remember I got to call that.
I was still a lawyer at this point.
I got a call that morning that said you need to just skip your work day today.
Stuff's going down.
They wouldn't tell me he was getting.
Like that was the hint that it was going down.
And then I came here and that was that crazy scene that led to Cutler.
You know, they tried to fire Billy.
He just ended up driving around town hoping nobody would find him.
Which is still one of the greats like, I know I'm going to get fired,
but they can't fire me, Ryan, if they don't find me.
If they can't find me, I'll just keep driving around New Circle Road.
And what better road than New Circle?
I mean, you literally go forever.
He was just driving around in a circle, a New Circle.
And as I understand it, they dispatched somebody in the athletic department to drive around New Circle
and try to find him.
like he was OJ.
I didn't know that part of the story.
Yeah.
And then he pulls up to the craft center.
Alan standing outside, chases him inside.
He goes and gets his stuff, runs out the back.
He tries to close the door on Allen and like,
pull it tight where he can't come through.
And then he leaves.
Remember, a lot of people forget he held his own press conference the next day at the
Gryffing game.
Yes, he did.
I forgot about that.
UK had a press conference announcing his firing,
but Billy had his own.
press conference the next day at at griffingate what a wild time my favorite line when
cutler's chasing him billy says you really going to run with me allan Alan I can run with you all day
no filter no filter although although Shannon Drew noted that today's allan cutler tweet said
today's out of color show was going to be no no filter no filter which I think means he's going to
be filtered yeah it's a double negative right no no filter he's going to be completely
filter or is it double no filter i don't know what that means double filtered you know sometimes you
got a double filter your beer yeah he's gonna you're uh he's gonna double no filter all right who's up next
let's go ahead will hey good uh good afternoon almost now fellas long time first time caller here
who are but i've actually uh made an appearance on the show you guys might remember about three years
ago, I believe it was out after the South Carolina game. Calipari was doing a after radio conference
or radio press conference and I was yelling, quote on quote. Do you remember this? No.
You do not remember this interaction. But anyway, what I was yelling at Calipari was to implement
an offense like Mike Leach, who had just died a few weeks before, rest in peace to a legend. I was
wanting him to implement that offense.
And he actually did.
And he actually did.
Well, just spreading the ball out more, creating
space. Come on, Matt. You should
know what Mike Leach's offense is about.
Yeah, but it is a different
sport. It is,
but just spreading the ball out.
But that is what I was trying to tell Caliperi.
I feel like it is relevant now to coach
Pope. I believe he
really should implement this kind of offense
because that is what is stagnant with
this team at the moment. I'm being honest.
Well, I appreciate the call.
I mean, I do think they've got to find something to make it not stagnant.
Do you remember him doing that?
Do you remember that?
I don't.
I kind of get the point he's trying to make there.
But Pope already is supposed to be doing the leach offense.
He already knows it.
It's just a matter of the guys actually getting out there and doing it.
Yeah.
And it's shooting.
Yeah, and they are not.
That's quite a guard.
Chemistry.
Yeah, there's a lot more issues than just that.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J.
Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about
defining the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without
Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ
at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows.
Without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective
on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nasree.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything
he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by,
like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers,
why he got the ball, like,
after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah,
you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court,
and you're going to get the ball.

There are times when the mind becomes a difficult place to live.
This is David Eagleman with the Inner Cosmos podcast,
and for mental health awareness,
month, we're dedicating a series to understanding the mind when it struggles.
I'm joined by doctors, researchers, and those with lived experience. We'll talk with singer-songwriter
Jewel about anxiety. I started living in my car, and then my car got stolen. I was shoplifting.
I was having panic attacks. I was agoraphobic. And making it through hardship.
To be present is a learned skill, and it's hard to be present. We'll talk with John Nelson about
clinical depression and the brain implant that saved his life.
What I learned is that procedure made me happy because I'm disease-free.
And we'll talk with leading experts like Judd Brewer about anxiety and John Herschfield
about obsessive-compulsive disorder and the science of how the brain can change.
This is a month of deeply personal and honest conversations about what happens when the brain goes
off course and what we can do about it.

Apparently, George Clooney also said he didn't fight with his wife.
He said, though, for like 10 years is what he's saying.
He said, 10 years they did together.
George Clooney said for 10 years he hasn't fought.
He said they don't argue over anything.
Anybody see you that new movie yet with him and Adam Sandler?
I almost started it last night, but it was a little too late to start a movie, but it's on the list.
High on the list.
I'd like to see that.
I like both those guys.
George Clooney's like, has he ever been in a...
bad movie. I'm trying to think about like guys that you just bank. Like Leonardo DiCaprio,
if he's in a movie, I think it's going to be pretty good. I can't think of a movie of his
that I didn't like. I'm sure there is one, but I can't think of one. I feel like George Clooney's
like that too. I can't think of a George Clooney movie that even the movies of his that people
forget I liked. Like up in the air. I was about to bring that up. That's one that I get talked about.
I really like up in the air a lot. The one where he's in Hawaii.
the descendants where he's like, do you know that one?
I don't know that one.
It's good.
It's good.
And then, well, Brother Ware Artale, obviously, Michael Clayton.
All the Oceans movies.
Was he in Siriana?
Anyway, point being.
Which Batman was he?
Yeah, now he wasn't good in the Batman because he had nipples.
Yeah.
He wasn't good in that.
That's true.
Well, that was bad.
He was in return of the killer tomatoes.
That couldn't have been good.
That had to be like early in his career, though.
That had to be before he was a star.
He wouldn't have been in return of the killer tomatoes.
88.
After he became a star.
There's a woman here who lives in Raleigh, my old home,
had a lot of fun watching Carolina Hurricanes last night.
You get a big win there now in first place.
You mentioned the game yesterday.
He was a big win.
I had a win in a shootout.
Hockey comes down sometimes to a shootout.
It's just one-on-one, the goalie and the guy,
and it's actually quite exciting.
Cains beat the Capitol.
But you don't like that in soccer.
You like it in hockey?
Because I feel like it's still close to what the sport is.
My problem with it in soccer is that like a penalty kick has no associate.
And in hockey, they at least do, they'll do five minutes of three on three to give them a chance before.
And they don't do it in the playoffs.
The thing about soccer is they do it in games that matter.
In hockey, once you get the playoffs, there's no, no, no shootouts.
So it can be exciting.
I think what they do in hockey is exactly.
exactly what they should do in soccer.
In hockey, they take guys off the ice,
which gives them to use the callers thing, more space.
Do that in soccer.
Take two guys off the field every 10 minutes,
and you will get a goal after a while.
So the first overtime period is three on three in hockey?
In the regular season.
Yeah.
For five minutes, they'll go three on three.
And it is the most exciting thing you can watch.
Because if you make one mistake, there's a breakaway and you got it.
Like three on three hockey, if that were the sport,
Hockey would be the biggest sport in the world.
It's awesome.
I would love to watch a game of just three on three.
The score would be like 15-10.
They should do that, get some of the best players in the NHL and just play a three-on-three.
Tell me about Indiana real quick, so we have a scouting report for tomorrow.
Well, Ryan's boy, Lamar Wilkerson, we've said many times he just had a huge game, went 10 of 15 from three.
He's shooting like 45% from three and getting 20 points a game.
He's doing exactly what we didn't want him to do.
he already has they've played 10 games in half of them he had four or more three
pointers however if you lock him down really is that right yeah uh Tucker DeVries who is
a Drake for forever and then uh got hurt last year at West Virginia dad's the coach in
yeah that's the coach he has the same amount of threes as Lamar Wilkerson we don't talk
about him as much because it doesn't have the Kentucky connection but they both hit 35 this season
Indiana's really good offensively the other guard is uh taking or Connerway that played at
Troy last season. We ran to him at the tournament. He actually didn't play well against us.
They get to focus on their Waffle House. But those are three of the big names. They're really
good offensively, but defensively, they'll give up some points. They're bad. You got to
get out, close out on the threes. If they get hot, could be night night quickly. So defend the
perimeter. But you can score on Indiana if you're locked in. We've got to start well. These
games that we haven't started well. We didn't really start well against Louisville. We did come
back, but we didn't start well against Louisville, didn't start well against Michigan State, didn't
start well against Gonzaga.
Start okay against North Carolina, but we've got to start well.
And I think that helped with Trent in the starting lineup the other night kind of gave
just a little boost of energy.
Would you start Trent again?
I would start him again.
He came in, you know, he hit a couple shots early, kind of got jumpstarted him a little bit.
Would you start Jalen Lowe?
Like he's playing?
I don't understand the bring him off.
Like, if he's going to play, why don't you start him?
What is the point of bringing a guy off the bench?
At the last game with him and Cam Williams.
They both didn't play the first half, and people at the open practice saw them running the
steps and getting yelled at.
So I think that's what happened in the last game.
Would you start him in this game?
Yeah, I mean, you're at the point.
You can't almost cuss.
I haven't a cussed on here in 15 years.
You can't mess around right now anymore.
I know.
I almost had my first dump there.
But it's too important.
I mean, your back shouldn't be against the wall on December 13th in the season, but
kind of is.
You can't fall behind it.
So you would start what?
Well, I mean, you bring an Aberdeen off the bench?
Probably.
maybe low Chandler, O-A,
I don't know, De A-Bate's price.
I don't know his status.
Let's say he plays.
Low-D-Bate, even if he plays.
He's been out so long.
And it's an ankle, so he hasn't been able to do the conditioning stuff.
At least low has kind of supposedly been standing.
I'd go low, O-A, Chandler, Noah.
Moreno.
Yeah.
And then Diabate off the bench, Aberdeen, off the bench.
mean those are two of your best.
Like, I don't know.
Indiana doesn't use their bench.
They do this thing where they play their best players.
Crazy concept.
But that could be an opportunity if Kentucky wants to run,
and if guys can contribute off the bench,
maybe use your depth and try to get them play with some pace
and get them winded.
Yeah.
Who's next?
Let's go to Skyler.
Still nobody's giving me a bad George Clooney movie except that Batman.
I'm not counting the Rotten Tomatoes.
Skyler, go ahead.
Yeah, two more George Clooney movies.
Gravity.
The Eyes of March.
I don't know if those are mentioned.
Both are great.
Both of those are great movies.
Yeah, Gravity and the Eyes of March are both good.
Hey, I'm calling to defend myself a little bit, called into the postgame show, and I use the term performative.
I just want to let the listeners know that got their feelings hurt that the definition of performative is a dramatic or artistic performance.
And so, we're going to have to take the break.
I'm here in the background.
Yeah, we're going to go to break.
I'm sorry about that.
appreciate the call.
Leatherheads was not very good.
That's a good call.
What about Byrne after reading?
I like that.
We'll be right back.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney.
Call T.J.
he'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.

John Michael Montgomery tonight.
Final concert at Rupp Arena.
Are you going?
Just had my tickets pulled up.
I'm confirming they're in there.
Yeah, I'm going, looking forward to it.
Well, good.
That should be, if you, we're going to play John Michael Music,
John Michael Music here before the show.
If you want to come by the bar on your way to,
to the concert for J.M.
Walker Montgomery's playing.
Eddie Montgomery's playing.
And then John Michael.
I got to give a shout to one of our fans,
Marshup, Northern Kentucky.
Sit me some tickets.
So I'm even going tonight.
You're going tonight?
Yeah.
Wow, that's good.
Rank the John Michael Montgomery.
summary songs. What's number? Now that this is going to be the final one, what's his best song?
And not just the most famous. What's his best? I was, for me, I was singing, I swear,
quite a bit this morning. Isn't the problem with that, though? It's not his song, though.
I mean, like, he, that's, I think it was his. They took it and kind of ran away with it, right?
All for one. I thought it was theirs. And he took. He explained this to us when he was on the show.
I thought he said it was his. Maybe you're right. Okay. But that's what I was singing all morning,
getting getting ready for tonight what about you
i told you once i told you twice so do the lady in the second row she's an eight she's
tonight she's 10 i know red lips okay that's fine did you get any of those words right
that's the best one i'm going to be singing as loud as i can tonight life's the dance that's the
answer right there life's a dance is the best song that may be the best song yeah life's the dance
is a great when i'm sitting here looking at it i think the one that you know the one that
actually makes me cry is that letters from home zone oh yeah you know that one I wouldn't say that
like that might not be his most pop yeah it's sad he's getting letter he's like in the military
he's getting letters from home and some of it's bad news you said that like that's crazy
like if I had said the Grundy County auction makes me cry that would be understandable but letters
from home is a perfectly reasonable song to make you cry it does be my baby tonight makes me cry
oh that's a good one yeah that's a good one I'm just probably hearing
it from you that a song moves you to tears i've never heard you say that before what are you
talking about like i he's a crier he's a cryer he cries over another show of a song
i mean i don't know that i like but you know i cry like never a song drive you to tears i've
admitted i've cried over songs before like there's a lot of songs like highway 20 ride
jack brown band yeah that would make that one's i can make so like anything for some reason and
i don't know why because i didn't serve in the military
but there's something about songs about military.
Like, I think one of the saddest songs of all time is that Dixie Chick song, Traveling Soldier.
I think that song is beautiful.
And when, like, they talk about the names at the football game being read and, like, I find that to be one of the sad.
I don't really, I don't cry about love songs.
It's usually people dying songs, you know?
If we don't want a basketball game tomorrow, I'm going to be crying during Dumas Walker.
9.30 p.m.
That'll make me cry.
There are songs that I have connected to people and like deaths that, you know,
it's not so much the song, but it triggers.
I had somebody tell me that the Mark Pope postgames
from the North Carolina game and the North Carolina Central game.
So the last two games might be the two smallest crowds they've ever seen at the Pope's postgame stuff.
Would you agree with that?
I had to leave the last game, so I wasn't there.
but the UNC game definitely.
They even tweeted about it in real time.
Part of it was it was so late, but also the way the game ended.
I mean, there was barely a full row or two there at midcourt
where it's normally that whole section gets pretty full.
Have I, did you see the news, Ryan, about the soccer team FC Haka in Finland?
Tell me about it.
I don't know this story.
So in Finland and in a lot of Europe, when you play soccer,
if you come in the bottom three spots in the league, you drop down to the league below.
which I have advocated for college sports.
I think it would be fun if like there was a division one
and you played each other and the team that came in last
the next year they were in Division II
and you like move up and down.
I think that would be a lot of fun.
Well, they do that in Europe and soccer.
And in Finland, FC Haka was in Division 2
and they have now finished in last place in Division 2
so they will move to Division 3.
And their fans were very upset.
Now, what are some reasonable,
ways that fans could express that they were upset about this.
Not renew their tickets.
Not renew their tickets.
That would be a good one.
What's another one?
Maybe with some posters or some postage.
Shannon, what about you?
What's a reasonable way?
Send an email.
Send an email with Mitch Barnhart.
That's exactly right.
Call a show.
Well, here's what the FC Hockey fans did.
They went and burned the stadium down.
Oh, my God.
Wow.
A little extreme.
My goodness.
There's pictures and video online.
They set a mass fire and the entire stadium was engulfed in flames and they burned the team's stadium down.
And they don't know who did it.
They know it was FC Haka fans, but they were all masked and as of yet they have not caught the perpetrators that burned the stadium down.
So multiple fans got together at a concerted effort to burn the stadium down.
They believe it was multiple people, yes.
You know, I don't know that team, but I would think they got the message.
I think the message was sent at that point.
probably did better than like the brown bags you would wear at a game you think you think it's
hard to ignore that one yeah right that's a little over the top for me yeah so I'm not
advocating that I think that's actually a poor way to handle because it's going to be hard for
them next year Shannon with the stadium completely burned down it's going to be a tough rebuild
it's going to be a tough rebuild yeah hard to recruit players there when you're burning the stadiums
down who's next let's go to david david david go ahead david
Hey, yeah, Matt.
Just a quick call.
I'm not a religious person, but I was just going to send out good vibes to your family and you about your father's situation.
Thank you.
But your idea on the food book and you want somebody to work cheap, dude, I'm retired.
I watch videos.
I'll drive to all 120 counties and hit mom and pops or big restaurants, breakfasts.
breakfast, lunch, dinner, whatever.
And I'll leave you with this.
I can't believe your buddies don't know the Godfather.
You guys were talking about that.
Well, they do now.
At least, at least Ryan does.
And I appreciate the call and thank you for the offer.
Would you, are you going to watch Godfather 2 this weekend?
I don't know I'll get through this weekend, but I am definitely going to watch it as soon as possible.
I tried to find that little, not documentary, but the movie they said they made about making it.
It's a TV show called The Offer, and it's on Paramount.
It's on Paramount.
It's called the offer, and it's about the making of it.
Okay.
I want to watch that, too.
Yeah.
Can't refuse it.
Kentucky lost Stephen Soles.
Sackham Souls has entered the transfer portal, or will enter.
The transfer portal is not open yet, but he announced he would.
You know, I mean, all of these portal things, a lot of it's going to depend on who we get to replace them.
I mean, he was a very good player.
if you go get somebody in the portal who's just as good or better than him, it may not be that big a loss.
But he would have been a guy, Drew, I think I would have hoped would come back.
He is not.
But he's not going to be the last one.
And I think all of these were going to have to judge on the, well, kind of who is the replacement for it in the end.
Yeah, that's a tough loss.
He's kind of even a little bit of a fan favorite, even though he's still young and not a full-time starter.
But he's probably the best, you know, pass rusher on the edge they were bringing back,
at least just being with how explosive and quick he is, getting the back-fif.
and he was going to be a big part of that defense moving forward as he became an upperclassman.
With the football podcast and 11 personnel, Adam and Nick, those guys just absolutely loved him.
The moment he committed, he just had a little personality that Sackham nickname.
That's one that hurts both on the field and just having a guy in the locker room people like.
It is unfortunate.
I mean, like, but part of this is Will Stein.
I mean, he's got to pick the players.
And if he ends up, I mean, what do you think this fan base does if he does?
decides that cutter bole is not his quarterback and this dude at Oregon is.
That's going to hurt.
That's going to sting for sure because we've kind of fell in love.
When you say it's going to hurt, like, would you be upset about it if he did that?
I think I would be upset until we start winning games, you know, but like I said, I got on the
cutter bandwagon and I'm not getting off of it.
He's still my guy and I want him to be, I want it to be my guy.
Well, I'm going to get off of it if he leaves.
If he leaves, yes.
No, I mean, would I prefer him to be the quarterback than not?
Yes.
Yes.
But Will Stein should pick, you know, you're going to bake the cake.
You should get to pick the ingredients in the recipe.
And if he wants somebody else, he'll be judged by what he does.
And people will be harsher on this other quarterback if you're getting rid of the kid from Lexington.
But at the same time, I think he deserves a chance to have the guys he thinks will succeed, don't you?
Yeah, it would definitely be more fun if Cutters the league.
just because we know him, the local connection, all that.
But if Stein also realizes that,
and if he knows the importance he is to the state
and still thinks he should bring one in,
I'm just going to trust the guy that's leaving Oregon
and a top 10 offense the last three years
that he knows what he's doing.
I mean, all I can do is go by what he said publicly.
But by hearing what he said publicly on this show and other things,
it sounds like to me he wants Cutter Bowley to be here,
but he ain't guaranteeing Cutter Bowley's going to be the starting quarterback.
And then the question becomes,
Does cutter bowling only want to play in place where he's guaranteed the starting quarterback,
which would be understandable?
Or is he cool coming in here and competing with this dude likely from Oregon?
If your cutter, you may go, well, he already knows this guy.
Am I behind the eight ball already to start?
Yeah.
I would argue, though, this guy he's bringing in.
Stein has already picked somebody else over him before because he was on the bench at Oregon.
But I don't know.
We'll see what happens.
You got to think, too, maybe Sloan, the new offensive coordinator,
or maybe brings somebody with him.
You know, maybe he's had somebody he's close with.
They've got, what, the Stone Saunders?
He hasn't left yet.
That's true.
Ponatowski's coming in.
Yeah.
It could be a lot of guys.
The pot of money is, you know, they ain't huge,
and they have a lot to go.
They need an entire offensive line also, so some of this will come down to money.
They have a lot they have to go out and buy, and only so much money.
One touchdown could change everything, the crowd, the momentum,
the game itself, feel that same rush with Draft King's sports,
book.

Two bowl games tomorrow we're going to pick.
All right.
Right.
It is the, let's see, the cricket celebration bowl.
What a name.
What?
That got me excited.
What's wrong with the cricket celebration ball?
We're celebrating crickets.
I mean, listen, it's bowl games.
Cricket celebration bowl.
And I'm trying to get the teams here.
Well, I can't find the team, so never mind.
Let's go to the bucked up L.A. Bowl.
What is going to?
What is the bucked up part?
I don't know.
I might get us in trouble the FCC.
I got to look that one up.
It's called the bucked up.
Oh, this is the one hosted by Gronk.
What's the bucked up part?
Yeah, I don't know.
Okay, well, they're bucking up at the L.A. Bowl.
Apparently, it's like an energy drink.
Oh, it's an energy drink.
Yeah.
Okay.
Boise State and Washington.
This is tomorrow.
I'm a big Bush Hamden guy.
I came from Boise State, so I'm going to Boise State.
Are you a big Bush Hamning guy?
Mississippi State fan.
I don't know.
When were you a big Bush Hamden guy?
The only thing I could come up with.
Okay.
I'll go Washington here, Bob.
I'm going to go Washington.
Yeah, I'm taking Washington.
I feel like Boise State and Washington play every year in these bowl games.
They couldn't branch out to new regions of the country and find other teams.
They're like, we're at the bucked up bowl.
Let's get Boise State and Washington.
We'll take a break and be right back.
KSR.
Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase
that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you

Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm CJ Toledano,
and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs
without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows.
Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers
why he got the ball, like,
after you go through a training camp with that, I said,
you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court,
and you're going to get the ball.

There are times when the mind becomes a difficult place to live.
This is David Eagleman with the Inner Cosmos podcast.
and for Mental Health Awareness Month,
we're dedicating a series to understanding the mind when it struggles.
I'm joined by doctors, researchers, and those with lived experience.
We'll talk with singer-songwriter Jewel about anxiety.
I started living in my car, and then my car got stolen.
I was shoplifting.
I was having panic attacks.
I was agoraphobic.
And making it through hardship.
To be present is a learned skill, and it's hard to be present.
We'll talk with John Nelson about clinical depression and the brain implant that saved his life.
What I learned is that procedure made me happy because I'm disease-free.
And we'll talk with leading experts like Judd Brewer about anxiety and John Hirschfield about obsessive-compulsive disorder
and the science of how the brain can change.
This is a month of deeply personal and honest conversations about what happens when the brain goes off course
and what we can do about it.
Listen to Inner Cosmos on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Yeah, this is the one I was talking about.
The one that makes you cry?
Yeah, it's a beautiful song.
And somebody reminded me another one of his like that.
It's called Little Girl.
They're both very sweet.
There's something about his voice.
It's very sort of Kentucky, and it's like, I don't know, I think he conveys emotion very well.
Don't he take some tissues with me tonight?
I think so.
I think you would need two anyway, right?
It gets his final concert.
He'll probably bring his son and brother up on stage and they'll sing and everybody will cry.
That'll be kind of nice.
God, I wasn't ready for all this.
I know.
I would assume it's going to be emotional.
I think no doubt it'll be emotional.
I mean, so we have two major retirements this weekend.
John Michael Montgomery on Friday and Shannon John Sina on Saturday.
Oh, that's right.
Yeah.
John Sina is wrestling his last match on Saturday.
against Gunther.
This is the other song.
Oh, this is the other song.
I thought you were playing this for Johns.
And the drinking and the fighting.
Yeah.
So see, are you, now, first of all, with all wrestling retirements,
Jane and I assume they're not going to retire.
Rick Flair still wrestle sometimes.
I know, right.
So do you think he will actually retire?
He's actually rich and a TV star, a movie star,
so he actually could retire.
Yeah, that's the one thing.
a little bit different you know like he's got the whole movie career going on and i think he's
smart enough to not come back and embarrass himself like right now he can still go but he can
come back 10 years from now and try to do it again it's not going to work yeah so uh so yeah i'll be
sad to seem gone john sina former ovw uh superstar that's is that the old wrestling adage
you leave a while on your back like will he get beat then well that's a great question because
the old wrestling adage is you you you leave on your you you leave on your back you lose your final
match that is your final match you sort of pass the torch and give somebody a bump by beating you it would be
so john sina to not lose though but it would be john sina to say you know what not for me
the old adage i'm winning my final one yeah which crowd will have more tears which farewell crowd
that's interesting johns are they're cryers though wrestling fans aren't they do cry yeah i think there'll be
a lot of tears for john sina i mean like john sina it's funny because wrestling fans
Shannon used to not like John Cena. They kind of felt like John Cena was forced upon them and they
didn't. They used to say, they used to chant John Cena sucks. But now you stick around long enough.
It's like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Older people, no one liked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar his entire career, like no one.
And then in his final year, they did a farewell tour and everyone cried in every arena in America.
And I, you know, my grandfather used to be like, we, no one liked him. Why are we?
crying.
Feel the same way about this.
If you stick around long enough, people cry for you.
Well, I'm expecting to cry of John Michael tonight.
People felt bad when Jerry Tipton retired.
And everyone was mean to him his entire career.
And then when he retired, everybody was like, oh, I'm sorry to see him go.
We like Jerry Tipton.
Everybody likes Jerry Tipton now.
Yeah.
Nobody's ready for change.
People don't.
That's true.
Didn't really happen for Cal and Stoops.
But wait and see.
There'll be a moment that there'll be times when they come back.
Oh, yeah.
And there'll be that, you know, it'll happen for them too.
Well, they're the opposite.
The bad guy over time can get good, but the good guy can't stay good forever.
It just starts to wear thin.
Yeah, you either.
They both came in hot and positive.
Become a villain or what, die hero or live long enough to become a villain?
Harvey Dent.
Yeah, that's exactly right.
Who's next?
WC.
WC.
Go ahead.
Take just a couple of things and give us a heads up on who's going to be the next athletic director,
Mark Hill or somebody else?
Yeah, I don't know.
I mean, I think Mark Hill is, if you were to do the odds on a board for favorite,
I think Mark Hill would be the favorite, but I think Dwayne Peev is on the list.
You know, I had somebody tell me after yesterday that the woman we talked about,
Rachel Baker is a contender, although they didn't think it would likely be her,
but she'd be a contender.
And then, you know, they might decide to bring in somebody completely different.
So I honestly don't know the answer to that.
I think the dude that we talked about on this show a while back, Eric Monday,
will be deciding probably who that next person is
because I think he's likely to be the next president.
All right.
Thank you much.
Y'all.
I was doing blessings to your dad there.
Thank you.
Appreciate the call.
Do you agree with that analysis?
I do.
And I think Mark Hill's status as a contender went up after they just did this football search.
It was just three guys in the football search.
Mitch.
him and Rock, Rock Oliver.
I mean, they said pretty much that was the search committee.
I think Jacob Tammy was part of that, too.
A little bit.
Oh, you disagree?
No, I think it was Rock Hill.
Rock Hill.
Rock Hill.
Bourbon.
Rock Hill.
I didn't even know there was a Rock Hill.
I think that's a bourbon, Rock Hill Farms.
I don't think Mitch involved Rock Hill Farms in this decision.

Yes, let's go.
All right, we're going to win them both.
