Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.

It is Kentucky Sports Radio here live in Campbellsville, Kentucky, for what has to be one of the more highly anticipated non-sports KSR shows in a long time.
You can give a shout.
We are Don Franklin Otto.

A Vision Auto Glass Tax Machine is
772-7-745-254 in this edition
sponsored by the T.J. Smith Law Office.
If you call T.J. He'll make them pay.
And I will say to you,
I was thinking about this driving in.
First of all, glad to be at Don Franklin.
Thanks to all the folks here in Campbellsville
for showing up. Appreciate it.
Don Franklin, driven by family 29 stores
around the state. I was thinking about,
okay, non-sports. Now, we do have a game.
tomorrow and we will talk about it but non-sport shows people have looked forward to over the years
i was trying to think of some of them drew you have when ryan spent a week in ks bar jail i think that
was one people really want people really liked uh the republican and democratic conventions yeah
in 2016 and then the iwa caucuses in 2020 uh-huh shannon's walk yes during covid when he walked 50 miles and we
it live on the road. I think those are all some of the good ones. Now, we're not going anywhere,
but the Weatherman Challenge, I think, is getting up there for this as well. I have been so excited
about this, just reading the comments on social media. Some of them have been brutal to certain
meteorologists, but I can't wait to see and get everybody's predictions for today.
Ryan, if you're not on social media, it'll be hard to keep up. But how much did you enjoy
just since we went off the air yesterday, the last 24 hours? I know there's a game tomorrow. I know we
one four in a row. The only thing I want to talk about is this weatherman challenge.
I had three wow moments yesterday.
Okay, well, let's go through them.
All, first of all, let me explain for people who are just tuning in.
Commonwealth caught, this all started with, I was like, I will give money to charity to
whatever weather person will get the most correct answer on the snow.
That's how this started.
And I mentioned it offhandedly on the post-game show Wednesday night.
And then Commonwealth causes, writes me and goes, we'll give $5,000 to the weather person that does.
Now, I was going to give $1,000, and then that guilted me a little bit.
So I got it up to $2,000 personally, so now we were at seven.
Then yesterday, serve pro calls me and goes, let's make it $10.
So now we're at $10,000.
That was my first wow moment when you posted it was going to be $10,000.
So $10,000 is a lot of money.
To the charity of the weather, the meteorologist, I need to not say weather.
man, because we have a woman in this as well.
Meteorologist who would get the most accurate forecast in Lexington and Louisville.
We ask people to get in.
Everyone says yes, except one person.
Now, I do think it's very, I want to spend about 30 seconds taunting this person,
and then we're going to celebrate those who said yes.
Mark Weinberg of WDRB, who famously once said,
I'd like to have a year-long challenge of accuracy amongst all the forecasters in Louisville.
We got receipts.
He then gets the opportunity, and you're a Louisville person, Shannon.
He's the bad boy trash talker of Louisville declines to participate.
He's gotten a lot of trash talking on social media.
Some new names were given to him.
Mark Wienerberg, I think, was one of them.
I'm just saying, you know.
Well, you liked Weatherboy.
Okay, yeah, you're right.
For some reason, people calling him Weatherboy makes me giggle way more than it should.
But Weatherboy is his new name on social media now.
So I will say, I think it's lame that they won't participate, that he won't participate.
It is what it is, though, because you know what they say?
I remember the Lord, I think, says this.
I continue quoting the Lord.
I'm not certain, but it's at least something I heard in church.
One door closes, another door opens, right?
So I get the no for Mark Weinberg.
First of all, your friend, Captain Reed Yaden, who is 80 years old?
You know what?
They're really not confirmed how old he is and he wouldn't even tell me,
and you can't find it on Google anywhere.
I will say, he's the only person I've ever seen that you cannot find his age on Google.
They did a profile about an issue he had once,
and it said he had this issue.
you in his 50s, but they didn't Drew say what year that was. So there was no way to figure out
what his age was. He's very mysterious. I mean, the captain's hat, that adds to the lore. A lot going on
with Mr. Yaden. So he also, he once flew a helicopter across the country. Think about that for a
minute. Well, he's a captain. So anyway, captain, he joins. And I'm like, well, this is as good as it can
gets. We got 10 people. And then an offhanded text, I just go, hey, Jim Cantor, do you want to
participate and within five minutes
his producer writes me back and says we're in
so now
Jim Cantori of the Weather Channel
is in wet so by 1130 this morning
they all have to have the exact
to the tenth of an inch
of the snow in
Lexington and Louisville
and we will get to see who's good
who's not who can read the
maps who can't I heard
one weather person say last night who's not
in this that in
Lexington specifically.
This might be the hardest storm to predict
because the line is right at Lexington
so it can go either way, and
Ryan, we'll see who can make it happen.
Will you hit my second wow moment when Weinberger
said he couldn't do it?
But my third...
You know, I actually
think we should not ever
mention his name on this show ever again.
Declan Weatherboy. I think we never
mentioned his name ever
again on this show. Weather boy declined.
But my big wow moments when you got Jim Cantoria.
I mean, that is Mr. Weatherman.
He is the bomb.
When he shows up in your town, when he shows up in your town, get out because stuff's going down.
So I want you all to all think for just a second of what you think Jim Cantori looks like.
If you go to his Twitter, he interviewed the mayor of New York today, Mondani, because they're getting the storm at Sunday.
And I couldn't tell which one was him.
Did you know he has a white beard now?
No, really.
Time comes for everyone.
I did not know it was him.
But nevertheless, still awesome to have it.
Huge get.
And honestly, credit to all the people that said yes, when you were pitching this idea,
I thought they're not going to want to do this, putting their name on this and having to go head to head,
something they never have to do.
Everyone that's in committed on the spot, and they're like excited and eager.
I thought it would take some convincing with half the field.
And outside of the one we've mentioned, old weather boy, people jumped right in.
It did not take any convincing or anything.
And by the way, you're right.
these people are kind of putting their credibility on the line.
They really are.
I mean, I want, I'm going to focus on our winner and not taunt who comes at the end because
why I am.
I'm going to taunt.
I kind of hope that the social media meteorologist ends up winning the whole thing.
Ryan Hall, y'all.
Ryan Hall, y'all.
I'm not pulling for him, by the way.
One of my favorite things that happen, Mario makes the graphic.
He puts the names and in parentheses the TV station.
And for Ryan Hall, he put his TV station, y'all.
which I think is absolutely hilarious.
Now, I will give a little piece of news.
We're going to get these forecasts.
They have to be in by 1130 a.m.
The first one's already in.
Guess who it is?
Ryan Hall, y'all.
He sent it to me right for the show.
I will tell you this.
Now, maybe they'll all be like this in a similar vein.
I was shocked by his prediction.
Really?
Now, I'm not going to say what it is because I don't want to spoil for the other
real things.
But I was shocked.
And I'll tell you why when I say it by his prediction.
and I will say,
buckle up.
That must be.
That must be going to be high, then.
Higher than expected.
Now, I think you guys down here are looking more icy, if I'm correct, in Campbellsville.
But up where we are, and then north of us, it's like crazy numbers.
But we'll see.
We'll see what everybody comes in with.
You know, I told you before the show started, I had a local weather guy said,
they do feel a little pressure because of what you said, we're in Lexington,
and if a guy at Ryan Hall, y'all, or something like that outside of Lexington.
Jim Cantoy gets it.
Jim can't he's in New York City.
By the way, good pool of you in the transfer portal,
getting a five-star guy in the late minute like,
like Coach Will Stein at the last second.
You know, all of these people say we don't want G-leaguers.
You pulled one in.
I just went ahead and got LeBron to join the pool.
So does that mean like Cantori, since he's national,
does that mean he has an advantage?
Is he a better weather man than everybody else?
Does he have access to more Doppler?
That's what I wonder.
Maybe he has all the Doppler.
He has more models.
Yeah.
Or less.
Maybe he's not just dialed in because he's not local.
Do you think these weather people, Drew, are sitting there today like going over with a five-tooth cone?
They're very nervous.
I mean, like their job, they don't ever have to really put up their results or answer.
No one's like, hey, two weeks ago, you went over five.
They also say, I saw a map six to 14.
That's not a prediction.
There's a big difference between six and 14.
Six is like, well, this is a bad day.
14's like, I'm not going to work next week.
So, I mean, that's a huge difference.
And I'm sure they're filling this contest because it's something new to them.
I bet their friends are lighting them up in their group chats.
You know, this is a big moment for them.
They're going to be busy all weekend, but this is living in the back of their minds.
Now, there's another part of this, which is people got assigned people to get their things from.
And so we also have to make sure we get in the predictions.
All right.
I had four.
Ryan had four.
Mario had three.
I've already gotten one of mine, Ryan Hall, y'all.
I also had Jim Cantori.
I would say those are the two hardest to get.
Probably so, yeah.
I also have the Maori Schnell and Jim Caldwell.
Your job is Chris Bailey, Bill Mech, TG Shuck, and Captain Yodin.
Yaden.
Yaden.
Have you gotten any of them yet?
Not there are predictions, but I've made contact with all of them.
You think you're going to get them?
Yeah.
Now, Mario, you have Logan, Cardosi,
and Harned. Do we have any predictions yet?
Have you talked to them all this morning? Okay.
I think they all wanted to see the morning models before they end their final
prediction.
Ryan Hall, y'all, put it in two and a half hours.
He's ready to go.
Yeah, he's already locked in.
He's like the kid who turns his test in an hour before.
Show off.
I hate it that kid.
Just guess he was that kid.
Probably you.
Probably, but I'm just saying, like, that's who that is.
I was always the one of the teacher's like, you know, can you get to hurry up?
Like, nobody else is left in the class but you.
That was me.
All right, so that's going to be happening today.
Now, the UK basketball game.
It has gotten moved to 11 a.m.
It will be, along with the Florida game last year.
Remember, we played that at 11 a.m.
The earliest game in Rupp in quite some time.
They moved it up, really, to try to get Old Miss out of town after the game.
That was the reason they did it.
I think the snow is supposed to start around 1, 2, 3,
but the real goal was to get Old Miss out of town,
which is why they moved it up.
you think it makes any difference, Drew, to what happens tomorrow?
Not at all, and I'm very excited.
I even went back this morning.
I wrote a blog post last year titled Give Us More 11 AM Games
because last year that Florida game, and it's Florida, I get that was a big matchup.
But that place was as good as Rupp Arena's been.
Because I was kind of having to get some memories back when I was reading what I wrote,
I was comparing it to some of the best of all time because people knew they kind of had to get up for it being earlier.
It was Florida.
game that we won. So I think, you know, Ole Miss is at Florida, but I think there will be
an excitement for a morning. Do you think people will go? I mean, with the snow coming after the game,
like, do you think people go? I don't know if it'll be packed, but they're going to go,
and there's something about that camaraderie of world. I agree with that. There's something about
when you're in and there's snow everywhere and you go, you almost feel a clever. I'm totally
agree with that. So even if it's not packed, the crowd that's there, I think will be crazy,
be allowed the guy sitting here on these shoulder pads. You need to go, man, and support the team.
All right, so two things.
First of all, we're going to open the bar at 8.30 in the morning because our pregame show starts at 830 now.
So we're opening it early.
We'll have breakfast.
So come on in.
We may not start serving food until 9 because our shift people, our servers, they're like, okay, get up that early.
So, you know, it's a lot of college students.
But we'll get the food there, but we're going to start the pregame show at 830.
And then same thing.
After the game, we will have.
You know, the bar will stay open until we have to close it.
If you're not using your tickets to the game, don't leave it empty.
I will give it away to people in Lexington or who want to make the drive.
Send it to Matt.jones at Kentucky Sports Radio.
I've already had people send me about six, and I'm going to give them away over the course of the day.
I think it's going to be a good.
I mean, if you live in Paducah, maybe you don't make the trip.
I think a lot of people see I'm going to be hunkered down for Saturday night through who knows what.
Let's go have fun before we.
I'll get all snowed in our house.
You're going to be, some of you all, especially from, I don't know, Bartstown up, like, you ain't going anywhere.
And then, you know, folks around here, the ice, that's, that's obviously, that might even be worse in some ways than the snow.
So it could be a long weekend around the state.
859-280-2287.
We are here in Campbellsville.
Taylor County.
We'll take a break and be right back.

we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross.
Because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth.
Are you a good person because you're afraid?

Absolutely. And that's two different levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person.

from tough trucks to sleek SUVs your perfect fits waiting shopping at all at dodfranco.com
schedule a test drive and pick it up at your local store you know how i know that we're in
in kentucky they just came out with a 12 pack of mountain dew and half the crowd got up and ran to the
everybody knows you've got to have mountain dew with your glazed donut it just goes hand in hand
that is that that's the the campbellsville power lunch you got the mountain dew and the glazed
Donut. I can say that because I spent a lot of time here as a kid. My grandmother
lived here. My great-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-stil lives here and have, I spent a lot of time. We've done,
I would say Campbellsville's in the top eight or ten of places we've done shows.
We did one every summer at the Gattie's Ritzeria up here right up the road every year for like
five or six years in a row. I drove by it.
Hey, if you guys could be a little louder, that would be good for the show.
All right, just a little bit. All jacked up on down-doo over there.
Already.
859-280-2287.
So let's talk a little bit just about the game itself.
Are you worried, Drew at all about Ole Miss coming in?
Probably maybe the worst team along with LSU and the conference, but when we still got to beat.
I'm worried about every game on the schedule.
I mean, I don't think we'll lose, but we're at a point where if, like, a guy has a bad game,
that could just derail the whole game because there's not enough depth to fix that.
He's pretty much been relying on Oway, Chandler, and Aberdeen here lately, which has been great.
I don't know how long that will last, but, you know, Ole Miss might be the easiest or one of the easiest games left.
I think you've got to finish the job.
You've got to keep stacking these wins and get momentum going.
They've already built a lot of confidence, and you can't slip up here against this team.
On paper, if you were just looking at paper, this is the easiest game of the season.
And, of course, that means it won't be.
We'll be down 14 in the first half.
But this is on paper, Ryan, the easiest team you play, and you play them at home.
So, like, this should be the easiest game of the season.
You've won four straight.
You just don't want to lose this one.
Yeah, because next week you may easily lose two games next week, at Vandy, at Arkansas.
No, you probably will.
It makes it more important.
You've got to get this one at home.
I think we're going to have the old wounded dog effect.
Keep losing guys and injuries.
Coming like a wounded dog fighting and clawing and maybe play really, really well tomorrow.
Usually wounded dog's coming off a loss, though.
We've got a four-game win streak here.
How are we a wounded dog when we've won more games in a row than we have since Cal was a coach?
Because every time we blink, another guy is sitting over there and street clothes cannot playing.
Yes, we are wounded.
We are very wounded.
Travis Perry.
Yeah.
What's that going to be like?
He's going to light us up.
You know where he is.
I mean, he's not had a great year.
Well, he had 15 last game.
That was his last game.
His last game was his best game.
He's hit four threes and five threes in the last week and a half.
So he's of all times from to get hot, it's leading.
up to his trip to Lexington. He's just now warming
up. So, yeah, I could see that being a scenario
where he comes in and, you know, he's played
games more so than a lot of our current
guys that played a Rupperina, so I could
see him having a big game. What do you think?
Give me over under
11 points for Travis Pear.
I'm going to say over.
I mean, I think he, I just think
he's going to probably get hot and bomb a couple
and we're all going to be bitching about it on the
Postman show.
Okay, all right, can I talk to you about
something real quick.
First of all, you're going to get trapped in your house.
Yes.
Starting Saturday.
Yes.
Assuming the weather works, you're going to start eating a load on Monday.
Oh.
Did you forget that?
I thought we'd cancel that with the snow.
Only if you can't get out of your house.
I can't get out.
You need to come down a notch.
The combination of you just randomly cursing and that picture you posted last night on Twitter.
What were you doing?
What was that?
I mean, what?
I don't even, I don't even want you to describe it because I know your description is going to be even worse than the picture was.
Someone said to me that we work with, look at what Ryan Lemon just posted.
And I looked at it and I was like, what's wrong with you?
It's just a weather map.
I know, but that's not.
You know why you posted that.
That's why I posted it right here.
Can you just, are you going to be able to handle these next 72 hours?
I seriously may go crazy.
I'm going to be stuck at my house by myself because yoga girls are going to stay in Georgetown.
But you understand, I've done that for, I'm not an experienced loner.
When's the last time you spent 72 hours by yourself?
Never.
Absolutely never.
Are you serious?
Never.
Never, ever, ever.
So this is your first weekend alone.
Ever?
Ever.
I've always had a kid there.
My whole life.
Now I'm probably going up going crazy.
I'm going to get my bread and milk after on the way home today, get some frozen pizza, maybe some beer.
So what are you going to do?
Watch sports.
I mean, you're not even kidding.
You've never had a weekend alone.
Ever.
No.
I've had a kid for Gavin's 28 years old.
But I mean, the kid didn't go somewhere?
Well, then there was another kid.
I had three kids.
There was always a kid there.
We all had to be checking on Ryan, I think, this weekend.
So, like, I've never been alone probably 48 hours, 24 hours.
It's just not me.
Do you need supervision?
Yes.
We should all text you.
You put up the sharp objects?
I'll be the guy looking out my front window.
So why is your woman not spending the weekend with you?
Well, her son and daughter-in-law is going to be with her in Georgetown.
You're going to try to get over there.
I mean, definitely going to try.
If you look and there's a random man walking down Georgetown Road, that is Ryan.
Pick me up.
Trying to get to Georgetown.
All right, back to the game.
What do we need to watch out for, Drew, for?
of this old miss team
uh they've kind of turned a corner they just lost the last game to
auburn but Travis Perry's hit in threes a j store a guy mentioned a few weeks ago who is
trying to play for every college in the country he had 26 and then 27 they have two big
wins they won at Georgia last week when Georgia you're ranked Georgia yes and then
won a rivalry game against Mississippi State both those came down in the final seconds so yeah
they're three and three and their resume doesn't really pop but just like Kentucky got hot in
the last week or two old miss is doing the same
thing. They are. And they've been, like Drew said, on paper they were the worst team in the
SEC. They've played a little better. We just have to win. Because I can sit here and read you
the next 10 games. Like, there's no obvious victory. I mean, at Vandy, at Arkansas,
then you go Oklahoma at home at, sorry, I'm trying to get to my things, at Tennessee.
Tennessee home, then at Florida, Georgia, I mean, at Auburn.
Like it just keeps coming.
This is one you got to get.
You got to take care of business.
Just, you know, build on what you did last week against Texas.
Played 40 minutes of basketball.
First time we've seen that in a long time played 40 minutes.
Go out and do the job.
Chris Beard's one of the best coaches in the league, too.
I think he's, you know, he's not going to be scared.
Then we can come in there and try to do some stuff.
They will.
Yeah, they're going to play good defense.
That's one thing.
And they don't turn it over very much.
That's right.
Who's up first, Rick?
Got Jason up first.
Jason, I got a minute.
Go ahead.
Hey, Smith, Jay here in Colorado.
I wanted to give you a quick preview of the snow that's coming away.
I just got to know I'm walking the dogs.
It is cold and the witch is behind.
And I'll tell you what, I'm more disappointed than probably the fact that my wife doesn't even know who Jim Cantori is
than probably time when Cal couldn't even coach a game in Wisconsin, couldn't throw it down a cat.
That just killed me.
But anyways, I love your show.
Thank you so much.
Enjoy the snow.
It's going to be Snowmaged there in Kentucky.
We love it out here, so hope you guys get more.
Be safe.
I appreciate it, and, you know, we don't handle it quite the same as everybody else.
We don't have quite the same equipment or readiness, but I enjoy it.
I hope everybody stay safe.
I mean, that's one thing I'm concerned about, you know, falling trees and all of that stuff,
especially in the parks with the ice.
But I also personally enjoy snow, and I'm going to be following along with these people to see.
Yeah, keep an eye on your neighbors.
You've got an elderly neighbor.
Keep it out on Ryan.
We'll take a break and be right back.
Elderly neighbor.
It's a good neighbor.
Welcome back, Techie Sports Radio.
859-2-80-2287 here in Campbellsville at Don Franklin.
Kentucky's biggest playbook, 6,000 new and certified pre-owned vehicles here at Don Franklin.
I'm reminded by the folks, I don't know how I forgot this.
I'm in Campbellsville.
This is ski country.
This is not Mountain Dew.
I was going to say that, but I was like, you can't let me do that.
It's okay.
Their ski country is not a large segment, but it is a loyal segment.
Do you like ski?
It's okay.
I remember when I went to Lindsay Wilson, everybody drinks ski, and I'd never even heard of it before, but they love it here.
I like it okay.
Where's it made?
Green County.
It was in Green County.
Now it's not, oh, it's shut down.
So it doesn't exist?
What?
His family own.
Okay.
Did you sell it?
Okay.
Do they still do it?
Yes.
In other places?
Okay.
Well, I've always liked it, and I've had it for a while.
I like those citrusy drinks.
Well, one of our listeners brought us some druthers biscuits.
The only druthers in America is right down the road to here in Campbell's here.
You said you couldn't even get into it.
You could not get everybody that is anybody other than you because you're all somebody.
But I mean, like, if you want to know what's going on in Campbell'sville,
you go to that druthers because you walk in, you can't get in the door.
We found the very last parking spot.
We had to fight somebody for the last parking spot to get into druthers this morning.
We had it to druthers when I was growing up
I did too
I did too
How do they get to if they're the only one
How do they get to stay open
Because the business is booming down there
You should go down there and see
I like to see their numbers at the end of the day
How much money they're made
And they have chocolate gravy on Friday
That's right yeah
I got to try that
To get the chocolate gravy
They have chocolate gravy
And they serve breakfast all day long
Apparently so they put chocolate gravy
Just on biscuits
Whatever you want it on
Wow
What do you want it on?
Duff some on your head
Just drink the gravy
I can't really think of what I would want it on.
Eggs?
But it's an interesting idea.
One person writes,
Matt, tell Ryan if his power goes out,
it'll be even more fun being by himself.
That's when I'm going down the street and knocking somebody's door.
Let me in.
Please, neighbor.
You don't know who I am.
The crazy man with the dogs at the end of the road.
Let me in.
It's going to be like the shining.
That's what I imagine.
Ryan sticks the axe to the door.
I got a question.
If the electricity goes out,
your gas fireplace should still work.
Correct.
Yeah.
So I can stay warm.
But, I mean, I think they're saying you're not going to have anything to do,
that that's what's going to drive you.
You'll be alone with your thoughts.
You're not going to be able.
You're just going to have to sort of confront the realities of spending time by yourself,
by yourself.
I go crazy.
I will be out walking the streets.
I can't do it.
You need a wellness check.
We should all just checking on you.
One person writes, Matt, how much preparation have you done for the trip?
Or for this?
No.
Zero.
I have no food.
I have no anything.
So, yeah, I mean, this won't go well for me.
So you're going to be going for a walk.
So I'm trying to figure out, do I want to do it in Lexington or Louisville?
What's the more, what's the better chance that I can get through it?
Louisville, 100%.
Probably Louisville, because I have walkable to more restaurants.
But, like, some friends can, like, help me.
I have more friends than Lexington.
Nobody's helping you.
You're on your own.
I mean, the only people in Louisville are you and parents.
I'm not coming to help you.
So you're going to be walking.
Do me one favor, though, whatever you do when you go for a walk, do not fall because I do not need another bruise picture,
bruised picture on my phone like I have already.
That was a wonderful picture.
Are you 100%?
John Rothstein yesterday said he is like 70% Kentucky makes the tournament.
What is your percent Kentucky makes the tournament?
I'm pretty high, maybe 95%.
I mean, I feel they've kind of found themselves a little bit, found their answers a little bit.
And now they kind of know what they got to deal with.
Low is not coming back.
Quaeton's more than likely.
He's not going to play much, of any, at all.
So you got who you got?
Go out and play ball.
Just go out there and do it.
And I don't think Cam's playing.
That's true.
Yes.
I was a coin flip on the tournament before Knoxville, but that's a big win to get that one for the resume.
I feel like they've turned a corner a little bit.
I'll say 80%.
But I wasn't feeling great just a week ago.
I'll go 75.
I keep hearing it.
I don't even know if this is true.
The Kentucky has the hardest schedule in the country.
Is that true?
By far.
And wait until after the game tomorrow.
Then we're going to have like, we have, what is it, 12 games left.
10 of the 12 are quad one.
One of the two non-quad-one ones is tomorrow.
So like we'll have, we will have 10 of our final 11 games, Shannon, being quad one.
Well, that's, yeah, that's a murderer's row.
So maybe I adjusted a little bit.
Maybe 60% chance they make your turn now?
It's only 60.
Yeah.
So I'm at, I'm about 75, when tomorrow I'll get to like 82 to 85.
But the problem is after tomorrow, we play Oklahoma at home.
Besides that, there's, I mean, we might be an underdog folks in like most of our games going forward.
We might be an underdog.
I mean, we'll be an underdog against Vandy, both games.
Probably.
Probably if they'll be an underdog against Florida.
Both games?
Probably.
We'll be an underdog at Arkansas.
Oh, yeah, definitely.
We'll be an underdog at Auburn.
Yeah.
We...
Tennessee and home.
We'll be an underdog at Texas A&M.
Yeah, they're good.
People don't talk about them enough right now.
We play Tennessee at home.
Pick them.
Maybe we're a slight favorite.
Yeah.
We'll be a favorite against Oklahoma.
Are we a favorite at home against Georgia?
No.
Georgia's good, right?
Yeah.
I mean, we probably will just because people will, otherwise, they're worried everybody will bet Kentucky.
But I'm just saying, like, we're going to be an underdog ride in most games.
I kind of like our team's attitude when they come on and be everybody disrespect a little bit.
I think, like, O.A. and Aberdeen have kind of found a way to play together, and they kind of got that dog in them, you know, the wounded dog coming out in them.
Her is.
The wounded dog again.
I think I can see who the wounded dog here is, thinking of it.
about having to spend his weekend by himself.
Who's up next?
Austin is up next.
Austin, go ahead, Austin.
What's up, fellas?
A quick shout out to Dakota and Michael
on the second road to your sleight, right?
Two questions.
Does revenue share distribution
make top donors focus more on basketball
and does that affect football in a negative way?
And representing for Campbellsville,
I have to ask why my man Corey Lynn Halk
was not reached out due for the Weatherman Royal Rumble of 2026.
Well, we had a very,
I don't know who Corey Lynn Halk
kids but I'm sure he'd have been great. We had a very strict criteria because we had a lot of people
that wanted to be in it, but I was trying to figure out like what would be the most group,
the group of people that most people would know. Great question about the donor situation.
What I would say, Ryan, is I have no idea how donors are going to be funding things in the future.
Just to give you, I'll try to make a 10-minute conversation of a minute and a half.
for a long time, if you wanted to donate to UK sports, what did you do?
You just wrote a check to UK sports.
Yeah.
Right?
And it went into the athletic department, and they could do with it what they want.
Sometimes you might say, I'll give you $2 million if you do this specific thing,
but generally people just gave to UK athletics.
And then UK athletics decides what it did.
It ain't like that anymore.
All right.
So think about the different ways you can give money.
One, you can give to UK athletics.
Okay, just the, to like build facilities or, you know, whatever they want to do.
Second, there are specific projects they raise money for, like the football renovation.
Right.
Right.
So they will ask donors not only donate to UK athletics, donate for this specific thing.
Then they sometimes say, we have to raise money for our REV share fund of $1921 million.
There are donors who give to that.
And then there are donors back in the old system that Mark Stoops was friends with and said,
I need to go get a running back.
Will you help me?
They do that.
Or Mark Pope says, price has gone up for so-and-so.
Will you help me?
And they do that.
Ryan, now that technically that's illegal, although I think people will still do it,
there's rev-share.
I don't know how donors figure out who to give money to now.
I don't either.
You're just saying right there to kind of confuse me for sure.
So the guys that donate like the basketball NIL fund,
what if they want to do the football NIL fund?
How do they do that?
I think what UK encourages them to do is give us money and let us control it.
But what a lot of donors want to do is,
I ain't given this for track.
I'm giving this for basketball.
And oh, by the way, I will want seats on the fourth row.
I mean, that drew is probably the practicality of how this works.
And in the world we live in now, most people with their dollars are going to want to go get a good player because that's what they're going to be why.
I mean, buildings are nice.
Unless you're getting your name on the whole building, it's going to be like, I just want to give you money to give us the best team possible.
Good luck with your locker room renovation.
And there was, now I think this is changing too, but there was a time, especially in football, where people wanted to donate to get a specific
player and Shannon then kind of have a relationship with that player.
Like, that is our player.
You feel like they work for you because you paid them, right?
And let me also say where that raises a little difficulty.
Let's say, sir, you paid $150,000 so we could go get a linebacker.
And you were asked specifically, I need this line packer, $150,000, you gave it.
And then what if he doesn't play?
How do you feel?
Are you giving it next year?
No.
No.
I want my money back.
And so I do think that's another thing that makes it harder for these schools is that they ask people sometimes to give money for specific things.
And then if that guy – like, imagine you're the guy who paid for Zach Kalsada.
And then that video comes out.
And that's my money he's playing with it.
Give me back my money, you bomb.
I just think there's so many different things in play now, Drew, that I actually do think it makes it really hard in the money situation.
Yeah, those guys already dealing with this.
Like, imagine selling your family.
family business, throw a little bit in I'll, and you're just watching a guy throw it at some guy
named Garrett on Snapchat. You're like, I worked 40 years for that money right there. It's just being
thrown at someone I don't even know, telling him to get his money up. It's a really good point.
That dump that's on you, though, if you sell your business to give him to a kid.
I mean, in general, like, you built your wealth. No, I mean, you didn't spend it. I get you
saying, like, I worked hard to do this. I could have thrown it at someone if that's what it's,
I had a kid, give it to them. Yeah. No, it's a really, it's a different dynamic now. If you're

I'm talking, Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark. Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing,
we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it. And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns,
Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth,
or are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

Jacob Kingston grew up in an isolated polygamous sect.
We were God's chosen kingdom on earth.
He felt destined for greatness.
So when a swaggering Armenian businessman catapults Jacob into an extraordinary world, he doesn't look back.
Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, meeting the president of Turkey.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and this is one of the most shocking criminal conspiracies I've ever come across.
When Jacob met Levan this went to a billion dollar fraud.
But with two kings from entirely different worlds, just how long can their empire survive?
The largest tax investigation in American history.
You need to tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?
Jacob told Levan, you're ruining my life.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Back it is Kentucky Sports Radio.
We are here at Don Franklin.
So listen to this.
I just got Ryan Hall, y'all,
asked to update his prediction to raise a total.
So the snowmaps are getting more snowy.
And he had to 1130.
So I felt like if you get to do it,
There's nothing that says I'm fine with that, you know.
He's locked in, too.
I saw yesterday.
Probably went in reference to this, but he posted on Facebook.
This is like the moment meteorologists are trained for or something like that.
I think he just meant the overall storm, but I took it as he meant the challenge.
I think it is the challenge.
We'll find out we will start getting, I think, predictions in in the next 30 minutes.
I wanted to ask you what you thought about the Florida-Bama coach trash talk.
So Alabama, you've probably seen a judge.
who was an Alabama donor,
issued a temporary injunction allowing a kid from the G-League to play for Alabama.
I didn't know when I saw the story at first that the dude who had issued it was an Alabama donor.
Big donor.
A big donor.
So that's maybe a little forum shopping there from the University of Alabama.
So he's eligible now.
He will play this weekend.
Now next, I think they play Tennessee.
Is that right?
I think they play Tennessee.
Big game.
next weekend they play Florida.
Florida's coach Todd Golden was asked about it,
and he goes, well, I guess that's what happens when you get to pick the judge.
But then he said, Ryan, I don't care, let him play, we'll beat him anyway.
What do you think about that?
I've never liked Todd Golden, thought of a little smar me, but I like that comment.
I want my coach to be like that guy.
I'll let him play, I'll beat him anyway.
I love it.
You don't normally hear any kind of trash talk.
whatsoever. They're all so lame and media trained. That's from the guy at the end of the
bench to the head coach. You just don't get juicy answers like that. So for him to say,
we're going to beat them, play him if he wants to, I'm coming for you. I absolutely love it.
You never hear coaches say we're going to beat them about another college team, like ever.
They never say that. So I kind of like it. I love it too. I mean, he's just saying what we're all
thinking, but no other coach will say. So I love this.
Usually like a team will come in four and 15 and they'll go, it's a great team.
Yep. It's a great team. It'll be a tough challenge.
Tough challenge.
They're going to really bring it.
I mean, Mark Pope says every team in the SEC is a great team.
Every single team.
So I like coming, I like going, saying this.
Now, I also believe what I said about the Baylor kid.
He's not any good.
Everybody freaks out about these guys, and they're not good.
If they were good, they play.
There are three, I don't think people realize.
There are three guys that came from the G League playing in college basketball right now.
You know the one that's averaging the most points, how many he's averaging?
4.2.
Where all these people are freaking out about guys, Ryan, that aren't any good.
He said if they were good, they'd be on an NBA roster.
They'd be playing in the league right now, not bouncing around,
traveling around the G League somewhere trying to get a couple minutes.
So do we not get Dink Payne?
Well, I was going to say, there might be one exception.
I was saying, what about him?
What's the update on him?
Well, first of all, these guys that have come from the G League,
if you go look at their G League stats, they weren't scoring a lot in the G League.
But Dink Pate is.
Deke Pate scoring 17 a game.
He had 32 the other night.
Okay?
Deke Pate was once the 17th ranked high school recruit in America.
So he can play.
He did an interview with our Jacob Polichick yesterday, Drew, that said,
if Kentucky wants me, I'm there.
Now, it sounds like they want him for next year,
that there won't be an addition to this team.
It would have to happen today.
They need them this year.
But it would have to happen today.
And since we haven't heard anything, I'm going to lean towards it's not going to happen.
Would you want him for next year?
Oh, definitely.
You know, right now, let me look at what we have for next year.
Yeah, there's no one there.
So I would love him next year.
That would be great.
He seemed to be a big fan of Dink in his comments.
Maybe that's just his attitude.
Oh, he's definitely a fan of Dink.
If you go on the streaming service, somebody sent me a clip.
Look for this if you're bored this weekend.
Shaquille and Ile and Iverson did a documentary for Reebok, and it's on Amazon.
Their whole point was to try to go find good high school.
players. And Dink is a big part of the Dink of the documentary.
And I'll all say about Dink, I found him likable.
But Shannon Dink likes him some Dink.
And I think that will definitely be, that comes through in the documentary.
Bet on yourself, right?
If you don't believe in yourself, nobody else will.
So it sounds like he's got plenty of confidence.
Well, I'm with Drew.
We don't have any players, Ryan.
So if he wants to be part of the team next year, right now, I'm kind of for it.
He's got a ton of talent, clearly.
Yeah, get you a little head start on next year's recruiting class,
getting this guy signed up.
Even you bring him in right now.
Head Start, we're behind.
We have nobody.
We're behind.
We have nobody.
I tell you this, the whole part about today being the last day for drop ad,
man, we had it Shaden Sharp in the middle of semester.
We had a big Z in the middle semester.
I mean, that stuff just kind of magically seems to work itself out.
So you think we can add him in mid-February?
Probably.
All right, good deal.
Who's up next?
Bobby is up next.
Bobby, go ahead, Bobby.
Yeah, I was just kind of curious watching these games.
The defense has really been improving,
but I'm wondering when we're ever going to take a charge.
seeing too many balls go up the middle of the lane and nobody helping out.
It's just kind of frustrated.
Well, we don't take a lot of charges.
That's a good point.
I appreciate the call.
I do think one of things we do, I think we play really good defense.
I do agree with the caller, Drew, that our rotating under the basket is pretty poor.
We give up a lot of dunks, like a lot of ducks.
And it feels like a lot of times it's because the offside guys just make it a business decision.
and saying, you know, you go ahead.
And now that it mentions it, I really can't remember a charge.
We really have a.
Maybe it's probably because the training room is full of injured people
and they don't want to lay their body on the line with this team.
But it worked.
But I remember at Tennessee and LSU, when they're trying to claw back,
they'd get hot.
But then they would give up a lot of those easy baskets now.
They buckled down in the end and got it.
But that defense still has some big flaws.
I also don't call as many charges.
It doesn't feel like.
Remember there was a period in college basketball
where it felt like people were jumping in front for charges all the time.
I feel like you don't see them as much just in general.
Yeah, you don't.
And I think sometimes, like you guys said, giving up two points is better than a season-ending injury,
so you just kind of give it to them.
They tried to cut out that sliding under him.
We have our second prediction in.
And it comes from your guy Jim Caldwell, very different than Ryan Hall, y'all.
Oh, here we go.
So, see, I wondered, is everybody going to end up in the same place?
Completely different in this one.
Wow.
Is it because he's old school maybe and he's using different?
Oh, you think he's out there?
He doesn't have the Doppler.
He's sticking his finger up to the...
Yes.
He doesn't have access.
He's using the Farmer's Almanac.
That's what he's using.
He doesn't have a Doppler.
We'll see which one will be right.
Very different.
See, I wonder, will they all group together?
Turns out no.
Tour in.
We'll get nine more.
We'll be right back.
