Starting point is 00:01:14 We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me. He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue 42. A rep. My mama want you to wave at her.
Starting point is 00:01:30 What? Where's he at? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clifford Show on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano.

Starting point is 00:02:04 You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball. Welcome, everyone. It is Kentucky Sports Radio Tuesday, February 3rd.
Starting point is 00:02:54 I'm Matt Jones, and we are all in Louisville. A very rare day that the whole crew has shown up in Louisville. We're flying to the Super Bowl here in 3 o'clock this afternoon. And so we all came here. Well, I say we, not Ryan and Shannon. Boopoopie-doo. That's all you didn't want to go, did you? We're good.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Just a Super Bowl, just a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I know, but they'll have another one next year. Will you take me next year? No. Clark's Pubit Shop phone lines 859-280-20287. A-Vision Autoglass text machine is 772-745-25-4. This edition sponsored by the T.J. Smith Law Office. If you call T.J. He'll make them pay. Drew, are you packed and ready to go? If you got all the stuff for all the cool events we're going to? I'm packed. I don't know if everything I have is what I need. I'm sure once I get there, I'll realize everything I forgot. But I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Ready and excited. Ready to go. We got the map of Radio Row. We'll talk about it later. We're in like prime territory. You're on the NFL set, right? You're going to do it on the NFL set? Well, one day we get it on the NFL set. One day we do it in the lounge with the couches. I don't know what that means. I like that they noted they're comfy. It said the comfy couches. They keep giving us guests and I'm going to read them off later.
Starting point is 00:04:14 I don't know what I'm going to ask these people. I feel like I already need to cancel all these cases. Well, don't forget to tell them that Ryan Lemon says hello. I will. I don't know what to say to any of these people. Like a couple of people I don't know who they are and they're football players and I have nothing to say to any of them. Day three, the list is like, who are you? Who are you people?
Starting point is 00:04:33 So that's okay, though. We got time to research. I don't even know if we need guests. We could just walk around, grab people. I mean, you guys are the NFL experts, so you don't need guests. Yeah, who needs guests? First day is good with Terrell Davis. Oh, we're loaded the first day.
Starting point is 00:04:45 I almost wish they had spread them out a little better. Yeah, we got all the guests on the first day. We're going to walk in there the first day and just be guest and left and right. John Alexander, isn't he on your guest list? Yeah, the busing with the boys. But then as it keeps going. The guests get a little... Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:00 But that's all right. 859-280-0-22-87. It's going to be an Ask- Anything Wednesday. And I want you to actually ask anything. And the text machine, 772-774-5-254. Game tomorrow night. Not a whole lot of news today. Probably Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Starting point is 00:05:17 We're going to be distracted by all the goings-on that have occurred. So this is a good time to kind of ask anything. It can be UK-related or it can just be life-related. etc. And we're ready to go. Nice to see you all in Louisville. It is very rare. And even Billy's going to drive over like right now, I think, and join us, right? He is. Well, he's got to get on the flight. He's got to make the flight. Did you notice when you were here how you all, your roads are not as good as these here?
Starting point is 00:05:46 Oh, yeah, the roads here are much better than in Lexington. It is. So still out of school in Lexington, right? Seven days out of school. Probably going to be out of school tomorrow. Probably. tonight. More snow and ice, I think, this afternoon and tonight. So, I mean, we're going to have like two weeks straight of no school? That's what Drew and I were talking. It's close to warm up
Starting point is 00:06:05 some today before it starts snowing, so some of that snow and ice will melt. But then it'll freeze again, and it's going to be maybe probably worse tomorrow than it is today. My neighborhood was so bad. WKYT went live from my street twice last night. I must have one of the worst neighborhoods in Lexington. You don't want that. You don't want WKYT.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Look how terrible this is, and your house is just barely out of shot. So the mayor apologized. Did you see that? No, I did. didn't see that. The mayor said we should have done a better job. She said we're going to, when this storm is over, completely reevaluate how we do this because it was that bad. Now, they, the city, I give her credit. She actually did, you know, most of the time, public officials do not take accountability. She did say, look, it was very unique, difficult circumstances. With that said, we've got to do better than this. Right. So I give her credit for that. A lot of the city council people are fighting.
Starting point is 00:06:59 There's one guy on the city council who's like, I could have cleaned it up by myself with three people and we would have finished it. And then there's other people like, no, but, but this is going to, like, she's up for reelection. This, I think the snow and the ice is going to be the whole battle this year. It could be a big sticking point for a reelection. Is that the most important thing a mayor does? Even though she, even though she probably has nothing to do with it, isn't,
Starting point is 00:07:27 Probably the most important thing a mayor does snow and ice. This impacts everyone. I mean, people are tired of looking at their kids. We're all going to have damages to our cars once all this is cleaned up. There's potholes everywhere. My road alone has just wrecked my car already. So it literally, unless you have just not left your house and not looked outside, it has impacted you in some form.
Starting point is 00:07:47 It's like riding on a roller coaster. When you go down on our neighborhood street, it's just bouncing around. It gives you a headache. It gives you a headache. Yes. It's just like. Well, that's what you all get for. living out there. That's true. You all live in the burbs. Now, since I miss Mayor Gorton's
Starting point is 00:08:02 speech, did she say I still have to get out and shovel my sidewalk or she kind of leaning on that now? I haven't heard what the new sidewalk rules are. Have you shoveled anything? Heck no. Someone shoveled mine. Your sidewalk? Yes. In my steps. It was not me. So I want to think, I don't know who it was, Shannon, but someone while I was just away for a day, really? When I was in life, they ended up shoveling it. Maybe your neighbor who you stole their I give them a lot of credit. Whoever that was, thank you very much. Would your landlord be responsible enough to go to do that? No, I didn't. No, this would have been somebody. I'm a neighbor. Very nice. I think it was a neighbor.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Well, you do live by that huge city park. I guess you want to keep that clear and clean. Yeah, but first of all, that's a nice park. Why do you have to be mean to that park? It's a park. This room is bigger than that park. It is a children play. I have never seen a children play. It is an amazing park. park. People frolic. I don't think there's any frolicing. 30 piece of land. Oh, it's a park. 30 feet. I'm with you. I think it's dumb that that's a park.
Starting point is 00:09:05 But all right, 859-28027. Are you excited for our first trip to San Francisco? Very excited. I like San Francisco. So I'm just excited to be in San Francisco. You know, we're staying close to Chinatown. I'm going to make you all go eat there with me. I know you would enjoy that. I would love it. I don't know about the others. We're going to do that. Now, Ryan's not going. So we do have, Ryan and Shannon are there. the two least adventurous eaters. So I'm excited about just the city, but then also, I know we're not going to be there
Starting point is 00:09:33 for kickoff of the game, but just being part of the event. You know, there will be all the fest and this fest and that fest and the interviews we're doing. I'm just excited to be a part of the Super Bowl experience. Tonight, we're missing, Shannon, and this would be hilarious. The Super Bowl media dance party. Oh, my goodness. A dance party.
Starting point is 00:09:53 If you wanted to see Adam Schaefter grind it out. tonight's night, we're going to be flying during it. I, oh my goodness. I hate to not see John Werner do the, you know, do the Duggy. I think the Super Bowl media dance party, first of all, a chance for HR violations out the wasson. Right? Somebody's going to lose their job at the Super Bowl media dance party. Secondly, what, first, most of these parties at the Super Bowl, just so you know, are like nine,
Starting point is 00:10:26 to two or 10 to 2. Okay. The Super Bowl media dance party, 7 to 10. You're going to get up early. Not a late night dance party. That may be on purpose. Get the media out of here so it doesn't last all until 4 or 5 in the morning. Oh, Sal Pal.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Can you imagine Sal Pal just like, oh, grinding on the dance floor. He's probably the wild one. You think so? Oh, yeah. You know at weddings or big events, there's always someone just dancing by themselves like no one's watching? They just dance the whole night. They don't stop. They're sweaty. That's Sal Powell.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Ian Rappaport's up against the wall. Jeff Darlington, bouncing things on his head. He's bouncing spinning things on his fingers. I hate that. We're going to miss that. Chris Berman? That may be the highlight of the whole week. All of them. So we're going to be flying there. So we're going to miss that. I felt Billy would have thrived there. Billy's missing out the most. Oh, no, that would have been. Billy would have talked to everybody.
Starting point is 00:11:20 When we went to the bills game, Billy was like handing out his number to people. Networking. Oh, he's a networker. Billy's going to be funny to watch. I think Mario should follow Billy around as he tries because Billy did say he wanted to network. Yeah, Billy's just trying to get a job everywhere else but here. And Shannon can attest to this.
Starting point is 00:11:37 I listen to the pre-show on my job. Billy sounded a little nervous. Right, Shannon? About packing? He had like a lot of anxiety. I could feel like what's he nervous about. He's afraid he's going to forget something. I said, like if you forget your toothbrush, they've got those in San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:11:48 It's okay. All he can't forget is our equipment. We just have to be able to get on the air. That is ID. Other than that, we'll be all right. Yeah. Well, he had to go get a new ID. He didn't have a passport.
Starting point is 00:11:57 He had to go get the real ID. He seemed like he was less worried about the equipment and more worried about his personal stuff. What's he worried about? Exactly. No one cares what Billy looks like in the thing. Billy does. Well, Billy does, probably. But he shouldn't.
Starting point is 00:12:11 He's putting stuff into that suitcase for a trip this long with everything he needs. Well, that's another thing is the weather. It's that the weather's like half cold, half warm. So it's like that's kind of hard to pack for. Do you suspect that the radio role will be like what it was at the Republican convention, just tables and people. doing shows everywhere. Because people are doing television shows. So like
Starting point is 00:12:30 when you look at the landscape of it, so Fox Sports TV is right next to us. The NFL network TV thing is right next to us. Then over here is like Pat McAfee and ESPN. Then over there is like ESPN radio.
Starting point is 00:12:47 And then over there is like Yahoo! Sports. It's like all like the whole thing, everything's a video set up now. Like it's not even really radio. Yeah. It's really. It's really video podcast production. And each production's got their own stage, their own lights, their own everything. Yeah. So I saw someone was live there yesterday and I saw the background and so I kind of saw what it looked like. But it's going to be like it's going to be cool. I am genuinely excited about two things. One, going to that. Yes. I'm not excited about interviewing
Starting point is 00:13:19 these football players. After day one, we may just cancel all football players. The other thing is you have to ask them about like their their thing that they're charity they're promoting but the not all of them are charity some of them are like commercial things and the problem is I don't care about any of these and it's very specific it's like be sure you ask them how they got to san francisco and how their seat was and then they pitched the airline it's like what we got to be that specific and i don't know how to ask these people these things right like i like what here we go so for instance i have to we have to interview uh Mike gollick senior about dex How does one even do that?
Starting point is 00:13:59 So, Mike, tell me about your friends at Dexcom. There you go. And what do I even say when he responds? Awesome. Dude. Next caller. Dexcom's getting it done, Mike. I think that's when we high-five.
Starting point is 00:14:13 We should high-five all of them after they read their sponsor. Yeah. Tell them all I said hello. That's great. Yes, good. Tell me about Dexcom. And then Christian McCaffrey, Oly Pop. Hey Christian
Starting point is 00:14:26 I was just thinking the other day about Only pop You got some strong feelings about Oly Pop What's Oli Pop? What is Oli Pop? I don't know It's Oli Pop, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:14:37 Is it Olly Pop? Yeah, I've heard of it Yeah, we better Well, it's Oli Pop I think it's just like a soda I'm going to talk to him about a soda When we get busing with the boys
Starting point is 00:14:50 I'm supposed to talk to him about Fan Duel. First of all, I'm a Draft King's Purr That's true. Yes. There you go. Conflict Adventurers, can't do it. Maybe I should fight them.
Starting point is 00:14:58 We should tell them how much better draft kings is. You know how much better Draft Kings is than Fandul? Do you guys like being second? ESPN's draft Kings also now, and you're with ESPN. Mine wasn't so much just the sponsors. Like, what are you going to say to Eric Kendricks? Who is that? He's a linebacker for the 49ers.
Starting point is 00:15:17 There's a person named Eric Kendricks coming. We get 15 minutes with him. 15 minutes. Oh, my goodness. Eric Kendrick. How's that? You got a lot for Christian Watson. I've heard of Christian Watson. He could talk bears. He's a pastor. Who is Cam Hart? Cam Hart. He, you know, we'll have to ask him.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Who are you? What are you doing these days? He's a corner for the Browns. Okay. Wow. Cam Hart, do you know Cam Ward? So Sean Alexander's sponsor is called Staying Together. I'm sure that's a charity. Sure it is. Sure they do good work. Yes. We need people to stay in together. I'm going to say, You see Billy over there? He wants people to stand apart. Talk him into standing. Talk him into why.
Starting point is 00:16:01 They should stand together. Make your 30-second pitch. You got this, though. They almost need somebody on standing beside you guys to give you a little tidbits. Let me give you the rest of them. Oh, that's Billy. Joe Milton is there. Bryce Young.
Starting point is 00:16:17 That's a good good good. That's a good one. Although it says for the last two questions, Shannon, I need to get up and bring up artist Stevens, the CEO. to sit alongside of us. Oh, you'll love that. Well, great radio. That'll be when people ask you to bring on like CEOs.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Hello, artists. Wow. That one's brilliant. You love doing stuff like that. Harrison Phillips. Harrison has a thing called Harrison's playmakers. I'm sure that's like, I think it's like a special Olympics thing. That's good.
Starting point is 00:16:44 So who wants these interviews? The NFL like network or like who needs? Who wants these? I think they think we want them and we don't know the. You can just pass on them. But we don't know the NFL well. enough to say we don't want. It's your one. I mean, we're just lucky to be there.
Starting point is 00:16:59 So I can't be like, they're like, we got you, Cam Hart. And I'm like, no thanks. Lunch is in five minutes. Even though we've not heard of the starting linebacker for the 40-owners, we can't big time him in this situation. And I also can't act like I don't know who they are. No, you have to. I can't be like, Cam Hart. And they're like, hey, dude, he's a pro bowler. Oh, of course he is.
Starting point is 00:17:18 I know we were going to get to that. That was my topic today. What a good pro bowler he was. So, 859-280-2-807. This is the content you're going to be getting. So every day, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, we'll be doing our show there. Right. And then we'll be doing a cover zero taping.
Starting point is 00:17:37 And then we will also be doing the post-game show Wednesday night from there. So all these interviews you're talking about, they're all for a podcast? For cover zero. For cover zero podcast. We may have heard we do that. Yeah. We're on it twice a week. Thanks for listening.
Starting point is 00:17:50 I thought you guys might do a live show for the NFL network. On television? Yeah. We don't have a live show now. You think they'd put us on Super Bowl week? If they're putting you on that studio on that stage, I thought they might. Well, they're not. 8.59-2807.
Starting point is 00:18:03 We'll take a break. Be right bags. KS. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending. Opinions are flying. And nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source. the athlete themselves. Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear.

This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me. He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Quarterback on office blue with 42. Hey, rep, Mom, I'm a one. you to wave at her. What? Hey, Ms. Parker. Listen to the Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Jared Adano.

This is Help from a Hypocrite. the worst advice from the dumbest people you know. Listen to help from Hippocrat as part of the Mike Coulthura Podcast Network
Starting point is 00:21:31 available on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio. Mario's gone live on Instagram. Is that the KSR account? So if you want to see what we're doing back here. Got a little behind the scenes of your guy's wardrobe for the trip. I like your wardrobe, that T-shirt. Yeah. You got an, he has a shirt.
Starting point is 00:21:55 that just says, wait me, that shirt says ice. Yeah. Have you been watching the news? You're wearing a shirt that says ice. I know that's ice like icy. Yeah. But do you realize,
Starting point is 00:22:08 have you followed the news? I've followed it, yes. Do you want, I mean, I'm not, are you, it's not clear. Yeah, I mean, that could easily be an ice t-shirt. Are you, I'm not saying you're pro, or Khan ice, but like, are you
Starting point is 00:22:27 wanting to insert yourself into this right now? No, didn't really think of that when I pulled it out of the drawer this morning. I didn't even notice sitting here next. I didn't either. I didn't think about it. He's literally got, okay, this is such a rye lemon thing. That is a shirt for like icy, right? Well, it's Josiah's like AAU team and he's like in the fifth grade.
Starting point is 00:22:47 They were called the ice. First of all, you're wearing your son's fifth grade t-shirt. Uh-huh. And it says ice. Yeah. And you didn't think before you. put it on. Didn't cross my mind.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Ice has been in the news lately. Didn't even think about it. And you are in Louisville. Yeah. Right downtown. Right downtown. Uh-huh. Never thought that could be.
Starting point is 00:23:07 I could take it off and do it inside out, right inside out. You just walk down the streets. I mean, walk down the street. You'll get a reaction. You are unbelievable to me. Didn't even think about it. The fact that you didn't even think about wearing a shirt that says ice. on it. They were a really good team back in the
Starting point is 00:23:27 fifth grade. That's the kind of thing like you would walk like he's the kind of person who would put on a t-shirt that says I love Donald and it was a Donald Duck t-shirt but he would wear it to like the Democratic Convention be like what's everybody's what are you talking about? I love Donald. I love the Donald. I was talking about the dog. I was talking about duck. This is why we love Ryan. This is um you are amazing. It's so innocent.
Starting point is 00:23:51 It's so innocent. You're not taking any stand. No. But you're wearing. and all it says, Shannon, is ice. That's the only thing it says. Yeah, I didn't even notice. You are an unbelievable human. I doubt he even noticed. No, not until Matt mentioned it. I had no idea. You are, you are amazing. Like, you really are amazing. 859-280-2087. One person says, did Billy get a new suitcase. I hope not. He did. He did. He did. Oh, he did. He said. That's unfortunate. I'd like for him to have rolled up in that. That suitcase was one of my
Starting point is 00:24:23 favorite moments that's happened a long time. Apparently that Olipop is healthy soda Shannon and people are saying it's very good. I've had it before I think. Okay. Well maybe I'll learn a lot about it. They're still running your wild eggs ad. Did you not recut it? No. I had a conversation with Travis, the wild eggs guy
Starting point is 00:24:43 yesterday. They want to keep it. And he was ecstatic. He goes, I can't pay for that kind of exposure. This ad is giving wild eggs. Because that's why we pay for a a spot and we see this is awful because this is going to encourage the worst parts of you probably somebody wants me to do another over the top ad and like yeah okay you're going to pay me I'll do it they were he was a static goes that's why we pay for Ryan Lemon to do a spot we want that Ryan Lemon effect that's it's an effect it's an effect thinking about you with eggs 859-28027 ask anything uh... two eight five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven ask anything uh
Starting point is 00:25:23 Tuesday, before we get the phone's Brandon Hawthorne. Is it Bradden or Brandon? Bradden. Braden uh, sprained his ankle. So it looks like they even if they were considering him, uh, pulling the red shirt or not. Uh, we, we see with the little ankle doctor left with Cal. He's a Vandy now. And look at, look how good Vandy is. And does Vandy have any sprained ankles? Also, uh, Pope mentioned kind of in passing that Oway rolled his ankle before the arm is. So Oway has a sore ankle. So we do need the ankle dock back. Are there any, I keep asking this. There's nobody who thinks all of these injuries at some point can't be a quince.
Starting point is 00:26:01 The ankle stuff, now that's a little different. Like I feel like the shoulder, you know, that's going to happen. But ankles, you can't prevent them. But if they just keep happening over and over and over, there are questions of why are we not taping up. I mean, what's the problem here? That's something I think could be controlled a little better. You can't stop a turned ankle. But if you just keep having them over and over like we've been hearing here lately,
Starting point is 00:26:23 I think that could be an issue with training. I say that having no medical training as well. I don't remember anything like this ever. We're a UK basketball team in back-to-back years. When your top three players from last year and top three players for this year all get hurt, makes zero sense to me. I don't know. There's something got to be behind it.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Who will we blame it then? You're going to blame Pope? The floor, the air conditioner. You think it's going to be the floor? Could be the air conditioner. We blame the floor when we lost at Wilmington, that new floor. Annabelle? Annabelle.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Blame the doll. Yeah. You laughed at her. She's getting the last laugh at you. She's still laughing. Middle fingers up, Annabelle. Let's go to... Oh, take it back.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Take it back. Somebody just broke their leg and practice. Let's go to Greg. Go ahead, Greg. Good morning, gentlemen. I have about two to three points I'd like to make. If I may... Well, you can do two and you've got to go quick.
Starting point is 00:27:17 You got to go quick. First of all, since we're on negativity regarding Ryan, I've just kind of want to like to get a research. response from him. If he ever faced Coach Cal in the near future, how he might respond to what he said about him Saturday night. How did you respond, Ryan? You're saying what I was saying, Cal, you suck.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Remember those two words you said? Yeah, you did. You did chant Cal You suck. I thought that. I did think that was a little much. Well, you know, you're in the moment. The crowd. We just won a big game.
Starting point is 00:27:47 And, you know, we'd beat him on his home floor after he beat us last year. But if you saw him, you would act like you didn't say anything. Of course I would. say, Cal, hey, how you doing? Good to see you again? Yeah, he would completely put his tail between his legs and go. What's your second one? I kind of thought. Okay, the second one being, Shannon, I'm going to give you some credit.
Starting point is 00:28:07 I know, Rob, you've got quite a bit of this before. I'm guessing I haven't heard anybody saying anything, but you certainly killed it. We're spot on with Malam Kai Marino back when you, maybe before the season even started. I'm not sure. Yeah, yeah. I was talking about him in September when nobody was talking about him. Yep. Yeah, appreciate to call.
Starting point is 00:28:24 I guarantee they are now. Shannon was on the Malachi train before everybody else. He was. That's right. Paul, Do you know. Because Shannon was scouting. Appreciate the call. Shannon was scouting those Scott County games.
Starting point is 00:28:36 That's what I was doing. I was watching them. Oh, my goodness. The thing is in the offseason, Shannon's grinding tape. That's what he's doing. We'll take a break right back. KSR. T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Call T.J. He'll make them pay. Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio, presented by Stockton mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. There's already people protesting outside the studio. Turn off the lights and Ryan'll glow. I hope you were watching the Instagram back. We got to see Ryan's hair. A new hairdo. It's epic today. All right, we got to all have a quick conversation about our family members, our friends, specifically our older family members 60 or over. We've got to collect Lee as a fan base.
Starting point is 00:29:22 everyone listening, can we agree on this? We all must get our family members and tell them, stop believing Facebook. Amen. Okay? You people have got to stop seeing a graphic and thinking it's true just because it's on a graphic. All right? I got sent yesterday
Starting point is 00:29:54 25 times this article from Facebook that is completely made up and yet everyone sent this like Matt can you believe this? No I cannot because it's fake but old people
Starting point is 00:30:12 and some young people just think because it's on Facebook and they put up a graphic it has to be true. Absolutely. What is wrong with you folks? This is why. society is crumbling. I've told this story before. During the 2016 presidential election, the most shared story in America during the election was that Donald Trump had taken a plane of his and flown soldiers home from Iraq. And it was made up by a Scandinavian kid
Starting point is 00:30:41 who was 16 years old and he made $1.5 million just on clicks because people on Facebook thought it was true. Okay? This is even more ridiculous. Hoops Chaos says NCAA men's basketball legend Michael Jordan stunned the world after launching an explosive accusation against Arkansas and Kentucky game officials, saying the calls for Arkansas were shameful and questioned the integrity of the NCAA. Jordan didn't stop there. He said, Arc, the officials were clearly for Arkansas and against Kentucky, and he questioned whether or not the. police forces should be involved. People buy it, hook, on and sinker.
Starting point is 00:31:26 How does someone see that? Think it's true? And think it's true. Yep. How do you see that? Not go look at, oh, I don't know, Shannon, any news source? Yeah. On Facebook, it is a news source to a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:31:38 To a lot of people it is. Facebook is not a news. Facebook is where you find out that Romel in your hometown is dating Samuel. It's on Facebook. It's got to be true. That's where you find that out or where you find the T-out. about the local hairdresser. It's not where you find news.
Starting point is 00:31:55 That post I just read has 650 shares. My goodness. It has 6,000 likes, which means... People believe it. This is why sometimes life makes me sad. Their vote counts as much as yours. Yeah. I've got a collection of these.
Starting point is 00:32:15 If I get screenshots, someone sent me one last week. It said, Understand the importance of Cole and Kentucky. Otega Owey, donate. entire $2 million NIL to the state, which would be great if he did that, but that did not happen. But people were just sharing it like, look how nice it is of Owey to donate $2 million to the coal industry. To the coal. Otega always going to donate his in aisle to coal. But it was getting shared over and over.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Right? Colin Chandler, like Colin Chandler's got gets the most. Because whatever religious cause exists, Colin Chandler, who by the way is a Mormon, There will be all these things about how he's going to be head of the Christian athletes of Kentucky. And there were people who are like, he must have converted. Or maybe it's fake. Maybe it's fake. But nobody thinks.
Starting point is 00:33:07 This is why society is going to collapse. Is that people just see that and they believe it. Believe it. Michael Jordan, you think, cares about the refs in the Arkansas. Kentucky game? You think that's what Michael Jordan is outraged about? Probably you should raise a red flag right there. But it doesn't. People just believe it.
Starting point is 00:33:26 I saw another one. I won't even say the player's name, but it was like, so-and-so for SEC school, dies on the court. And it was like an AI graphic of all his teammates crying. And people were like, is this serious? It's like, that doesn't even look like five players on the game crying over someone. Do you think that would have been on the news if that happened? That's the thing I always want to go. You think that might have been on the news?
Starting point is 00:33:45 Yeah. Maybe. So anyway, please help your parents. Help your grave. They read it on Facebook. Or maybe help yourself if you're the one following for it. All right. Who's next?
Starting point is 00:33:58 Let's go to John. John. John, go ahead, John. First time, long time, gentlemen. Who are? What's up? Well, I have a lot of stuff going on, but I want to tell you guys, I appreciate you because you keep my son, who's a cadet up at West Point connected to everything locally.
Starting point is 00:34:15 So that's kind of a big deal. I'm sure. Well, thank your son for his service, and we're glad to do it. So I found out recently that I have. an affliction that I never knew existed and wanted to see what you guys think about this or somebody else has it. When I close my eyes, I can't imagine pictures, pictures in my mind, visually. So a very small percentage of the population has this. I've never heard of it before. You mean you can't imagine pictures?
Starting point is 00:34:48 That's right. So close your eyes and imagine, you know, like the American flag or something. Most people can draw a picture and see a picture in their mind. Yes. I cannot. Okay. Well, I'm sorry. Have you gone to the doctor? No, I never knew it was a big deal.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Like when people say, close your eyes and imagine, I just thought that's kind of a metaphor for just imagine something. So you've never been able to do this. That's right. Okay. Well, I don't really know how to respond to that, except, to say I'm sorry about that, but like might be something to go. Well, I mean, is it affecting your life besides that? No.
Starting point is 00:35:33 It's a, I'm asking anything Wednesday, and I'm asking, does anybody else? Okay. Well, I'll ask. I will, if anybody on the text machine, 772-745254, I'll let you know if somebody else says they have that, okay? Hey, you guys have safe travels this week. Thank you very much. There you go.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Never heard of that before. but that's the that's the that's they with this is a good way to crowdsource correct and see if somebody else is there um we'll skip this call uh shannon and we'll go to skip bob and james town for because Ronnie needs to be on let's go to Ronnie go ahead Ronnie hey guys what's up good morning to you all good morning listen you always talking about yesterday songs about San Francisco yes I was a I'm a I know two of me I'll probably never heard of Francisco back in the late 60s was ground zero for the hippie movement. Okay?
Starting point is 00:36:30 Yes. And the two songs that come to my line are San Francisco Knights. And the second one was, when you go to San Francisco, wear a flower in your hair. I've heard that one. I've heard that one. We'll have Shannon play one of those coming back. I've heard that when you go to San Francisco put a flower in your hair. I think I don't remember where, but I've heard that one.
Starting point is 00:36:53 And Billy, by the way, is doing that. We're making Billy have a flower in his hair every day at the Super Bowl. And the second thing I want to tell you, on TV yesterday, they were showing a minor shaker going on in San Francisco area. Did you all hear that? No. That wasn't from Facebook. I saw that on TV, okay? I don't know what.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Are you talking about an earthquake? Yes. Okay. I've never heard it called a minor shaker. So an earthquake. Well, I know they have those there, but that's okay. you know what? I appreciate the call. We'll go and do our thing. And if it quakes a little, Drew, we'll be our. Do they have big blocks of ice? Because I'm happy to leave those behind.
Starting point is 00:37:35 I can handle an earthquake. Also, that song is on the Forest Gump soundtrack. The San Francisco where a flower in your hair. Oh, is it really? A big part of the movie. You're a big, you're big into Forest Gump soundtrack is one of the best albums of all time. I think I saw that's one of the three or four highest selling soundtracks of all. I think I saw that's one of the three or four highest selling soundtracks of all time. It's like that. I think two of the three highest selling soundtracks came out the same year.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Forest Gump and Pulp Fiction. Very cool. And they're both very, very good. At one point had both of them, although I guess I don't anymore because I don't have any CDs. A little Elvis, little Bob Dylan, little Paul Simon. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:13 All kinds of hits. All kinds of stuff. All right. I'm going to give him 40 seconds, Shannon. All right. Get the clock. I'm looking at it right here. Bob and James Town, go. Well, that other guy, when you didn't take my call, stole my thunder. No, are you all worried about going out there?
Starting point is 00:38:34 Yesterday's was a 4.2 quake. In 1906, it was a 7.2. It destroyed pretty much most of three quarters of San Francisco. And then, you know, the 89 World Series had an earthquake out there. So are you at all, at least, worried about aftershocks? No. Or the San Andreas? No. I mean, you can't spend your life, Bob, worried about natural events. We all could, anything could happen at any point. You can't spend your life worried about that. But that's an epicenter. I mean, are you taking any kind of
Starting point is 00:39:08 Thank you. He's got to ask about taking any kind of precaution. What am I supposed to do? Anti-earthquake. Yeah, I mean, am I supposed to wear anti-earthquake shoes? We all just survived the frost quakes we just had. Seriously, what am I supposed to do? Like, okay, I'm going to put on my earthquake suit. Brace for impact. I don't really know that there's much I could do. I'm more nervous about the Eric Kendrick's interview than the earthquake.
Starting point is 00:39:34 Yeah, here's reality in Kentucky right now. If people can't afford child care or a place to live, they can't take jobs, can't stay in jobs, and businesses can't grow. We're short on tens of thousands of child care spots in Kentucky. When parents can't find child care, we're forced to cut out. hours and leave the workforce. That's why at the Kentucky Chamber, we want to help fix it. The legislature's in session now. So help us fix the basics, child care and housing. Visit Opportunity Startshere.com to add your name today. It's Opportunity Startshere.com from the Kentucky Chamber today. We'll take a break. Be right back. KS.

Starting point is 00:41:31 wins and losses. Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth or are you a good person because you're afraid? Because that's two different intentions, bro. Absolutely. And that's two different levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person. Join me.

This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue with 42. Hey, Brett.
Starting point is 00:42:24 My mama want you to wave at her. What? Where's she at? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Cliverts show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Jared Adano. You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet. Help!
Starting point is 00:42:46 Somebody! Please! But there's so much more to me than that. I'm an actor. I'm a comedian, and recently I've become quite the helper myself. And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with my sage advice and thoughtful solutions. Sike, I'm a comedian.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I'm not qualified to give good advice. Join me and my comedian friends as we riff rant and recommend some of the most legally dubious advice known to man. If I'm calling you, even if you're on your phone, let it ring twice. One ring is too scary. Oh, cream of chicken suit. Hey, cream. Cream a chicken suit. This is Help from a Hypocrat, the worst advice from the dumbest people you know.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Listen to Help from Hypocrite as part of the MyCultura podcast network available on the I-HartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome back, TaguSports Radio. Yes, the song was very prominent in Forest Gum. I've heard the song quite a bit. There are people writing in saying they have the same issue that that guy said. Had you ever heard it before? I have not, but there's a lot of things I have it. Probably surges so you know, probably six or seven people write and say there.
Starting point is 00:44:07 Yes, it's called Afantasia is the name of the condition, according to. Close your eyes and you can't visualize something. Yes. One person writes, my son has that trait, affintasia. It is not considered a disability, just a trait. Yeah, I can see that because, I mean, it's probably strange, but it doesn't probably affect your life at all. No.
Starting point is 00:44:30 So, you know, so I wish you the best on that. And it's good sometimes to know that like other people have the same thing. Yeah. Right. Can you still dream? One person writes, Matt, earthquakes aren't real. It's a hoax by the Democrats. I saw it on Facebook.
Starting point is 00:44:49 They do control the weather. They do control the weather. It's sitting on the dock of the bay. Is that about Francis? I think it is. So is we built this city. They built San Francisco on rock and roll. They did.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Really? I thought it was like bricks and concrete. Wait until you get there. There's nothing to rock and roll. Man, I didn't know. I didn't realize that. Do you eat just rice and rony when you're in San Francisco, too? No one eats rice and roll.
Starting point is 00:45:16 It's the San Francisco treat. No. San Francisco. what the, you want to eat, like, China, you want to eat Asian food. I mean, San Francisco is the place for, I'm going to eat a lot of Asian food. They eat Chinese. We're going to Chinatown. I mean, I think if you go to San Francisco, Chinese food is the thing because that's probably
Starting point is 00:45:33 there was a time, I don't know if this is true anymore, but there was a time that that was the center of like Chinese culture in America. I'm sure it's, I don't know if that's still true. We're right around the corner from it. Yeah. Did you know they had a plague in San Francisco? like a plague that nearly killed the whole city. There's a, this is a long time ago.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Yeah. Like in the maybe late 1800s, early 1900s. The San Francisco plague. They like built, they tried, the United States put guards around so people couldn't get out of the city. Really? Yeah. I've not heard of that. I mean, people act like COVID's the first time.
Starting point is 00:46:09 Something like that's happened. I mean, they had the Spanish flu. Right. There have been things throughout history. But San Francisco had one that was basically contained in San Francisco and they put guards around the city. They would not let people leave. because they were like, all right, if we have to sacrifice the whole city, but you're not ruining the whole country.
Starting point is 00:46:23 They like lost a ton of the population. Like, well, how long ago was this? I want to see it was like the 1880s or something. I don't know, I don't know the year. Yeah. But it's, it was, it's called, I think it's called the San Francisco plague or something. They didn't follow Pineville's lead and put up some floodgates at the end of the interstate. But people would try to sneak out of the city.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Yeah, get out of there if they've got a disease going around. I think people, I think if I were, it's been. a long time. I heard a podcast about a long time. I think people like they would shoot people who would try to escape the city. Seems like a lot. That's what's going to happen to us. Did you see this on Facebook? No, this is like history. This is history. Everybody thinks that everything that happens in history, like this is the first time it ever happened. Yeah. But things have happened. That's one of the things I get mad about. Like, even when things are awful, in the last few weeks, it's felt like things are bad. There it is. It's 1900 to 1904.
Starting point is 00:47:19 1900 to 1904 Stuff has happened Throughout history like this Oh yeah You just you know You just don't know Because you probably didn't read it We all thought this first time
Starting point is 00:47:31 We ever had to wear masks And then all those pictures Surfaces People wearing smallpox masks Yeah and people go Oh This stuff happens It doesn't make it good or bad
Starting point is 00:47:39 But it's not the first time Let's go to Dave Go ahead Dave What's up boys What day are you interviewing Bustin with the boys Tomorrow
Starting point is 00:47:48 Tomorrow. Okay, I got, so I guess this is ask anything. So I got to ask a favor. So you know Will Compton, he's a big diehard Nebraska fan. Correct. He also does like this little podcast on the side with this guy's called Fort Dad. So I need you to do me a favor and ask him when he's having on Will Stein to talk about Nebraska being, Will Stein being Nebraska's daddy for stealing our quarterback.
Starting point is 00:48:15 We're talking about, we're talking about Will Stey. I mean, that's probably the only thing we're talking about is with him. I need you to get him fired up. I'm going to. I plan on being openly antagonistic with the boys. I appreciate it. I'm going to guess, Drew, he at least saw my coping with the boys. Because that went really viral when we took their quarterback.
Starting point is 00:48:39 I'm going to guess he saw that. And I'm going to be like, hey, that was me. And he lives on social media. He does. I know he saw it. There's no way he couldn't. I'm looking forward to that. You know, I like busing with the boys,
Starting point is 00:48:48 but I won't get in the way of any confrontation over Will Stein. Kentucky first. Will Stein said yesterday, there's no reason we can't win at Kentucky, and there's no reason we can't win quickly. Yeah, he says something like this should be a destination job. This should be for players and coaches, a destination location. His argument was when Will Levis and Liam Cohen were at Kentucky, they had the seventh ranked offense.
Starting point is 00:49:09 He was like they've had a top defense in like three of the last six years. Combine them, why can't you be really good? Why can't you? I think it all comes down to our quarterback. You just talked about him, stealing from Nebraska. If he has a good year, they can maybe do something special, but it all comes down to him. He also said something like, we're going to recruit at a level, Drew, that some people are not going to like me. I like that.
Starting point is 00:49:32 I'm not worried to make the other teams mad. He was like, we're going to go get players in a way that they're not going to like me. Yes, you know, sometimes when you're the inferior school, you just surrender. Okay, I can't go in and talk to this kid. He's trying to knock down doors and not afraid of anyone. and that's coming across and some of the national analysts are talking about his recruiting. Yeah, so he was on, if you get a chance today, if you want to listen to something later in the day, he was on Andy and Ari, which is a podcast on On Three Sports,
Starting point is 00:50:00 and he was full of swagger. It was like a very much a swash-buckling UK football. We're not bowing to anybody. We're, by the way, going to have him on either next week, either next week or the week after. They made him available this week, but we're of course going to the Super Bowl. So it'll be either next week or the week after. We're going to have him on for kind of a long-form interview.
Starting point is 00:50:29 That's awesome because spring football is coming up. It'll be here in a couple weeks. Get ready for his first spring football season. He also said, by the way, he thinks they have the talent to be very competitive in the first year. Yeah, I love, I don't know if it's confidence or maybe even getting a little arrogance territory, but it's not like he has that,
Starting point is 00:50:46 mentality that a lot of people have in Kentucky where we're still down here and slowly have to climb. He's talking about, you know, success right away. And with that schedule ahead, he could easily be intimidated, but that doesn't sound like he is. Yeah, he's not somebody who's minimizing expectations. I mean, it's not Mark Pope saying we've got a Ferrari and we're going to drive it. But he is saying like, he literally said, I don't understand why this can't be a destination. Yeah. So, you know, he's not minimizing anything. anything, so I'll take it. I think they feel so good about the guys they've got up front that they can do some stuff
Starting point is 00:51:20 offensively. Well, I hope they're right. We'd make next year very, very excited. We're going to take a break, 859-280-2287. To Ask Anything Tuesday, got some folks on. We'll get them when we come back. This is Kentucky Sports Radio. Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and headwriter, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the I-Heart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:52:01 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Last night, a blown call changed a game.
