One of the biggest misconceptions about buying a home right now is that you have to wait for the perfect moment.
Perfect rates, perfect timing, perfect market.
The truth is, that moment doesn't really exist.
A lot of buyers pause because of headlines or assumptions.
But every situation is different.
Race change.
market shift and personal goals matter just as much as what's happening nationally.

Welcome to Hour 2 of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back. Hour number two, Kentucky Sports Radio, 859, 2807, 2727274525-254.
celebrating the big win against the
Vols.
Drew got a cool thing coming up Wednesday
night. Cornbread Hemp is
sponsoring $1,500
in prize money at KS. Barr
the college basketball pick-em
contest. We are going to
pick games at KS-Barr
against the Sprick. Kentucky doesn't play
this week, all right? If you
think you are good at college basketball
pick-em, cornbread-Himp is sponsoring
and we give money to first, second,
and third place. I think a thousand,
bucks for first place.
Wow.
That's good.
That's pretty good money.
And all you got to do is we're going to pick a slate of all the games that are on TV that night.
You're going to pick them and then we'll all watch them.
And over time, it'll be like we do with the national championship in football.
People will rise and fall and we will have a champ that will win money.
I am very excited about it.
Cornbread hemp is sponsored.
We're going to do it one more time later in the year.
And then we might do it for the NCAA tournament as well.
But it is a pick-em challenge.
It is Wednesday night.
You have to be at the restaurant at 6.30 because we have to get the picks in, all right?
So 6.30 and it'll go through the early games.
It'll be like 7 to like 930 or whatever.
I'll be there.
I'm emceeing it.
Drew, I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
And you and I will pick as well and Ryan and we'll see if our picks hold up against theirs.
It's a good idea because we need something to do.
This is weird being middle of February.
We have all this basketball assignment.
Exciting.
Then we have a bye week.
So I'm glad this will give us all.
of us, KSR, BBN, something to pay attention to and get together while we have this unique
pause in our basketball excitement.
Yeah, thanks to Cornbread Hemp for doing it.
And Ryan, I'm ready to rock with it.
I think this is going to be really good.
And people, you know, it's like, hey, why don't we do something fun, but you don't have to
put your own money on the lot, free to enter.
All you have to do is come to the bar and hang out.
And, you know, hopefully you buy things, but you don't have to, but you come and
it should be a good time.
I love this idea.
Yeah, like Drew said, the perfect week to do.
doing on. We kind of got a buy week this week, so let's have some fun.
So you need to start researching the Wednesday games now.
Okay. I'm on it. I don't know what the big Wednesday games are, but we'll be talking
more about it as the week goes on. I'm looking forward to it. One person writes, Matt,
ski jumpers start by landing in the water. That's how they begin their careers.
That makes sense.
Makes sense, yeah. Is that true, though? That doesn't seem right.
Can you ski into the ocean? Like, what are they?
I'm sure it's a lake, yeah.
Yeah.
I thought I saw.
I would think when your ski hits the water,
you'd have a chance of like your leg kick out.
Like, it feels like to me that would be dangerous.
You ever heard of water skiing?
Yeah, but you're not coming from above and landing.
I mean, I don't know.
I mean, if they say that's what happens, then that's what happens.
You think the skis maybe would pull you under, too?
You could have a life jacket on?
I think the ski would hit and then like skid and maybe like tear your leg.
I don't know
Well, they have water ski jumping where those guys jump off the ramp
That's true
Maybe that's the same, I don't know
Oh, so you're saying you think Ryan they land and then ski forward
Yeah, I think that's probably what they did
See, I was thinking they just dropped
Well, the first time you probably did
You know, when you're trying to do it
Do you think that's how you do it?
I mean, whoever submitted that
Already knows more than me if they know anything
But it seems unlikely to me that it would be water
Yeah
If you don't do anything else this week, go on Peacock and watch the men's or women's downhill with those drones.
I'm telling you, it'll blow your mind.
It looks like if they were to get off by an inch, they would disappear into the woods and we would never seen again.
Yeah.
They would just fly off the side of the screen to be never heard from again.
And I also like these sports, Shannon, because I become an expert really quick in my mind.
Yeah, yeah.
You know, I don't have to know anything about it.
But then the moment, I'm like, see, she went too far.
She went too wide.
Oh, that jump, that didn't handle.
You know, I act like I know what's going on immediately.
Yeah, I don't have a clue when it comes to any of these Olympic sports.
But that's good, but you start to learn.
I think bob sledding would be, like, maybe the easiest,
because you're in there with other people and you just have to.
But as the American show, the heart is getting in the box.
Well, you got to get in there.
That's true.
You got to get in there first.
Once you're in there, I feel like you could, you know, it would be the easiest thing you could do.
Yeah, and I would think only the guy in front drives.
Like, if you're like third, you're just a long.
You're just shifting your weight from there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
So Super Bowl was last night.
Let's talk about some Super Bowl stuff.
First of all, Ryan, game, eh, kind of boring, right?
The game was not a very exciting Super Bowl.
I guess maybe some football purists like the defensive struggle back and forth,
but it was kind of boring to watch three field goals in the first half.
I'm glad the Seahawks won.
Drake May was awful, which makes me happy because I don't like the Patriots,
specifically because of Bill Simmons.
And Drew, I was very glad to see them.
get destroyed.
Yeah, it's cool that Seattle has such a great defense and won in the game,
but when one of the teams still hasn't scored in the fourth quarter,
it's not the most exciting product for everyone watching at home,
but it was a dominant performance.
It'll just happen to be one of the most forgettable Super Bowls for me.
It really will.
That'll be a Super Bowl that, like, we'll never talk about that Super Bowl again.
I mean, unless you're a Seahawks fan, Ryan, why would you ever care about it again?
Nothing memorable at all from the game.
Not really.
Not at all.
Yeah.
From the game itself.
Half-time show, the good thing, Shannon, no controversy.
Everybody liked it.
Everybody agreed on it.
Everyone agreed that they were a fan.
Man, I'm so mad at you.
I mean, I am really seriously mad at you.
I asked people what they were thinking.
I thought you would want to know what people were thinking.
No.
I don't know why you tagged me in that tweet, just in their thoughts.
I thought you would want to know.
You want to have a
Matter of fact, maybe more people should tell you
what they think now.
Now that they've had some time to
Now they've had to some time to reflect
They can tell you what they think.
I was so mad at you.
Like, look what he did.
Well, look exactly what he did.
I got all this stuff coming in.
I couldn't even follow with anything else
because one after the other people
griping about the halftime show.
All right.
So here's my take on the halftime show.
If you,
why does it,
I will never understand
Janet why it makes people so mad.
If you don't like it, that's okay, right?
Like, it doesn't have to be for you.
I thought it was cool.
Now, I don't understand Spanish, so I didn't know what he was saying, but I thought
the visuals were kind of cool.
I like the fact that the couple got married.
Did you see they got married?
That was a real wedding.
I didn't know that was legit.
That was a real wedding.
So apparently this couple wrote Bad Bunny and said, hey, we want you to come to our
wedding.
Like, kind of as a, like, you know, like asking, I don't know, Tiger Woods to come to your wedding, right?
Yeah.
He didn't, but then he invited him, them to get married at the Super Bowl.
That's cool.
I thought that was kind of cool, I thought.
So that was a real wedding.
Yeah, it was.
Do you think your wives past or present or future would have wanted to get married at not, not at the football game, but like during the Super Bowl halftime?
Do you think that's a cool way to get married?
It'd be cool for me.
It wouldn't be cool for like anybody else.
Cool for the dude, no doubt about it.
I mean, you're the first one to ever do something like that?
But what if your wife was a bad bunny fan?
Because clearly she wasn't.
She wouldn't have invited him to the wedding.
So like, think about it.
Who's Abby's favorite musical artist?
It varies.
I will say, she listens to a lot of KSR, actually.
Maybe something halftime.
I'll say right now she listens to a lot of Noah Khan.
Okay, so Noah Khan says, I'm performing the halftime show.
Drew and Abby, would you like to get married at the halftime show?
Do you think she would agree?
I actually thought about this last night.
I think she would for the experience.
She's like me.
Like, yeah, who would get to do this?
We should do it.
But we would need our own separate ceremony with friends and family.
That couldn't be the one ceremony where we're there for two seconds and Noah Khan walks by.
and then we kiss and that was the wedding.
But everybody in the world would get to see it.
Yeah, I think she would be up for it, but we would probably have another one too.
But I think she would do it.
Yeah, so for me.
I didn't know it was a real wedding at the time.
I didn't find out until after the fact that was a real wedding.
Yeah, and they were Puerto Rican.
So for me, like if they did a Kentucky Super Bowl, Shandh, right?
Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, Sturgel Simpson.
I know you'd be down to get married to that.
And they said, we're celebrating, we're having all these Kentuckians out on the field.
Right. So everybody out there is a Kentucky.
Which, by the way, is kind of what happened just with Puerto Rico.
And you can get married at the thing.
I'm very anti-public, like, that kind of stuff when it comes to dating or whatever.
Shannon, I think I might do it.
If it was a celebration.
Yeah, but I feel like I could find one.
That's all you need is one.
You don't need more.
I don't need 10.
I just need one.
But if it's like a celebration of Kentucky and you can get married, I actually think that's kind of cool.
I think if you're on at the Super Bowl, you've got to find a way to get your registry on the screen to get gifts.
I need Billy's digital registry card to put on the screen so I can benefit from all the eyeballs on our wedding.
They had all those trees, hedges out there, right?
They were creating the look of like a farm.
And those hedges were actually people.
Yes.
would you Ryan want to be one of the people that is a hedge for the Super Bowl?
But people won't get to see your face.
If I was the only way I was going to get on the field to be a part of it, absolutely.
For one time, for the experience, I would have dressed up like a shrub and hobbled a lot of right out there, no doubt about it.
I know Ryan would do it?
Shannon, would you do it?
I wasn't going to say this, but I actually was one of the hedges out there last night.
I wasn't going to tell you.
Oh, were you?
Yeah.
I guess there's no way for me to prove your word.
You can't prove what that was, and I was actually there last night.
Fleer right back this morning.
All right, Drew.
Absolutely.
Whatever you need me to do.
If I get to be part of the Super Bowl halftime show,
oh, you need me to be a light pole and have random people climb up and dance.
I mean, sure, whatever to be a part of it.
I'll be a brush or a shrub.
Whatever you need.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think that would be, I think that would actually be an amazing story.
So I like that.
I know a lot of people got mad.
Billy turned on the Turning Point USA one on his phone.
I heard.
I heard that.
Just to frustrate me.
So it was on the regular screen, the Super Bowl, like halftime, and then Billy had it on his phone.
I think the regular one had a little higher production value.
People think I made up, Drew, stand up for me.
People think I made up that the hotel or that the airport bar clapped when it was over.
They did.
They absolutely did.
They did.
I was surprised, but they did.
We had a full of a little Super Bowl party in there.
It had sound on and everything.
We had sound on, and they and Ryan, like half the bar kind of burst into applause when it was over.
There was one group of three or four people that were very excited, like counting down before it even began.
Yeah, they were into it.
But overall, yeah, it wasn't a whole bar, but I'd say half of the people clapped.
Went on Facebook, seemed like nobody wanted to share their opinion.
Really?
Yeah.
No, a lot of people wanted to share their opinion.
I don't understand.
People getting so upset.
I just remember that when I used to get upset about things like in 2016, 2017,
I had a lot of people that would say to me, Shannon, snowflake.
Mm-hmm.
I mean, I'm not going to say snowflake now, but maybe a little snowflakey if you're upset about it.
Right?
I don't think anybody really cares what your opinion is or anybody else.
Or anybody else?
That's exactly right.
Commercials.
I didn't get to see all of them, but it did seem like to me, Ryan, kind of a letdown on
commercials. I thought the Duncan Donuts
one. Yeah, that was a good one. With all the people from the
90s TV shows, I like that.
But the rest of them,
I thought kind of, maybe it's, maybe we're just past
Super Bowl commercials now. Is it just not?
Did you like the Budweiser one though?
That was good. The eagle. That was very American.
The eagle flying up the back of Clydesdale.
It was a Budweiser commercial and there's this
Clydesdale and this little bird and it shows
time goes on, it grows up. And then it
It looks like this.
Clydesdell has wings, but it's actually the bald eagle grown up flying off the back of the horse.
It is very amazing.
It was good.
With Brewerd playing in the background.
Oh, no, Freebird wasn't playing.
Yes, it was Leonard Skinnerd playing in the background.
That sounds good.
I didn't see that one.
But, yeah, overall, kind of a forgettable Super Bowl.
But what were you going to say, Ryan?
There were a couple Black Street Boys commercials.
One, they were actually in the commercial.
Black Street Boys?
Back Street Boys.
Okay.
The other one, it was like a karaoke commercial.
to a Backstreet Boys song.
I heard the Backstreet Boys got on two different commercials.
They must be cashing those checks, Drew.
They were ready to get some money, I would think.
Yeah, good for them.
I mean, they're selling out the sphere in Vegas,
not one but two Super Bowl commercials.
I thought the best Super Bowl commercial was done here locally with our friends.
I thought that was great.
With Lightner?
Yeah.
Yeah, with Lightner.
That's a pretty good get to go on get Latner,
even though we looked about 90.
That's great to say UK federal credit unions for all y'all,
but maybe not Christian Leitner.
Except you.
Great commercial.
Epic films put that together.
I did get bumped for Maria Montgomery on that one, Shannon.
I've been saying for all y'all for a while.
Yeah.
But I will say I can understand.
I understand picking Maria Montgomery.
I get that as a pick.
So good stuff.
How much do you think that Dunkin commercial costs with all those celebrities in it?
Who all was it?
He had Erkel.
You had Jennifer Aniston.
Ben Affleck.
Yeah.
Yeah.
George Costanza from Seinfeld.
The girl from...
Alberto, Refonzo, whatever, from Fresh Prince.
And the girl from different world.
The last two probably didn't cost as much.
But Jennifer Anderson, Ben Affleck, that had to cost a lot of money.
So tell me about Stockton Mortgage.
Stockton Mortgage, you know, the spring buying season is coming up,
and it's always a hot time to buy.
A lot of listings hit in the market right now.
So you want to be prepared.
You want to get that pre-approval letter in your hand.
So when you go out looking at houses,
you can make an offer don't have to wait on anything.
So go start the process now.
If you're thinking about buying this spring or this summer,
go ahead and get hooked up with the Stockton Mortgage Loan Officer.
I just referred to a buyer to a Stockton Loan Officer last week,
so they can work with you.
It's kind of a hassle to get through the loan operating process.
But if you start now, you'll be ready when the spring buying season hits,
you're ready to get that house when it hits the market.
So go to their website, Stockton.com, NMLS 8259 Equal Housing Lender.
I heard Billy did one when you're on a trip,
but he did a great job, by the way.
Billy did a great job feeling in.
Yeah, I do learn in the water, apparently.
There you go. So there you go. You learn things here on KSR. We'll take a break.

Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross,

Welcome back.
This is the only kid rock song that I can take.
Like, this one's all right.
You don't like the one with Cheryl Crow.
Well, when he says, well, no, that's a good song.
The one he sings with Cheryl Crow.
Yeah, that's a good song.
Yeah.
But they didn't sing that one, did they?
I don't know.
I kind of scrolled through it quickly just to see what it was going on.
Yeah.
I didn't really listen.
One person writes on a text machine, 772, 77524, Matt,
if you don't think people should get upset about Bad Bunny,
why would it make you upset about the other one?
It didn't make me upset.
I just knew Billy was trying to annoy me, Drew.
Like, that's what it was.
So we watched it.
My biggest problem with the other one, that I'm fine, they did it.
I just hate that kind of music.
I've been very consistent that I hate New Country,
and it looked like it was all New Country.
I hate that kind of music.
I think New Country is the worst music on earth.
So that's my only.
But if they want to do it, fine.
I'm okay.
You think it becomes a thing now, like we're every year.
I hope not.
I hope not, but it might.
It might.
I think it made people mad because he was from,
because he is from Puerto Rico, and it was in Spanish.
That's what makes people mad.
But what I would say is,
remember what I just said if there was a Kentucky Super Bowl?
All right.
Let's say they had Tyler Childers, Sturgle Simpson, Chris Stapleton.
Ryan, would we not think that's the coolest thing in the world?
Of course we would.
We'd love every second of it.
We'd love it.
We'd love it.
Well, Puerto Rico's part of the United States.
Yep.
So that's what they did.
And unless you'd be mad if we did a Kentucky one,
then how are you going to get mad about this?
You're just looking for a reason to be mad.
If you want to watch the other one, no, that's fine.
we watched them both apparently drew because of billy i just like that the people like
talking about how american it was as he sings about the midnight glancers and the topless dancers
and they're saying we don't understand bad bunny as they're watching ball with the ball to bang to bang
boogie like i don't like the i don't like the argument of well this is he's singing about
crackheads and methadone clinics and saying ball with the ball it's not like he's you know our founding fathers
over there singing towards the flag either.
There's a lot of people, Shannon, that had to act like they liked that music last night.
And there's a lot of people who wanted to like the bad bunny who also probably don't like it.
But do you think they should have had subtitles, Shannon?
That was a conversation.
Because people don't know Spain.
I mean, I can see the argument.
I mean, is that going to make it any better for you that you know what he's saying?
Not really.
I mean, because you probably don't like the music.
You don't like the music.
You know, it ain't necessarily about what he's saying.
That's probably true.
That's probably true.
And Alex Earl was up there, which I thought was kind of strange.
And Cardi B.
Cardi B made an appearance.
What about John Shire whining Drew about the court storming at Duke?
Carolina hits a three to win.
They storm the court.
John Shire whines says, he says someone on his staff got punched.
Apparently news stations in North Carolina had a camera on the entire.
crowd and they see no
they don't see anyone getting punched
which has led some people
to say John Shire made it up
what do you think
he wouldn't have made that up
would he? We've had more
than well two days
now to produce the tape
you know in this world about everything's on
video especially in a college basketball arena
so I'd say John
I'm not sure I'm believing you if at this point
we still have no video evidence of
this because that would come out if
someone punched a coach in the Duke North Carolina game.
For the record, I said it, Ryan, the first, the moment he said that, I was like,
I don't believe that happened.
I mean, if somebody had gotten punched, that dude would have gotten arrested, right?
If they had punched, he said his staff member got punched in the face.
I just don't, I don't believe that.
Now, court storming, I'm for court storming.
You could make an argument that North Carolina those too good to court storm.
Okay.
But they did beat Duke at the buzzer.
So if North Carolina is going to ever court storm, this would be the time to do it.
Now, it would bother me maybe a little of Kentucky court stormed,
so I can see people saying North Carolina shouldn't court storm.
But Ryan, in general, if you beat Duke at the buzzer on your home floor,
I am fine with court stormy.
I think it's part of what makes college basketball great.
I love it.
And I'm with you, though.
Is it Dean Dome?
Does it fit in one of those categories like Allen Fieldhouse and Rupbrenum,
where you don't ever storm?
Maybe, but also, I mean, if Kentucky was playing Duke in Rup
and we hit a three at the buzzer to win,
Shannon, would you get mad if the kid stormed?
Because it was all college kids at stormed.
Yeah.
Would you get mad if it's, again, Duke at the buzzer.
I won't get mad about it, but I kind of feel like, come on,
you're better than that.
You're Kentucky.
You don't ever storm the court at Rupp Arena, ever.
But, I mean, what are you going to do?
You're going to be the hall monitor out there looking at the kids.
No, no.
Please stay back.
No, again, it doesn't make me mad at all.
I just don't think you do that as a fan base.
But if you do it, I'm not going to, like, cry about it.
I just think that you're in Kentucky.
Do you do it?
I know, I'd still, I like saying we don't do that here.
I mean, I'm with Shannon.
If I'm there and the eruption zone runs on the court, I'm not going to be screaming.
Get out of here, kids.
But I hope that Kentucky never does that.
I'm glad who you guys say that.
I'm the old man.
I thought I'm against it.
I don't think you ever storm the court at Ruppreytoning.
no matter what the situation you're expecting to win every game.
I wanted them to get a technical.
I wanted chaos.
I'm against it.
If you ask me in the abstract, am I against it?
I'm against it.
But I also would say in that moment, man, like Mario's for it.
Mario's completely for it.
I can understand, Ryan, in that moment, how you'd get so swept up in it.
You beat Duke at the buzzer.
Well, let's just say, for example, Colin Chandler's shot was at the buzzer to cap off the comeback against Tennessee.
Definitely not against Tennessee.
Okay?
Because we're better than Tennessee.
But if you were playing a team, Kentucky and Duke are the two greatest programs in history, along with North Carolina.
I can see how it could happen.
I don't think it should, but I could see how it does in that scenario.
And I don't think a guy got punched.
I got to see a video because I have a hard time believing that.
I think Shire made that up.
We'll take a break.
Be right back.
KSR.
T.J.
Smith, personal injury attorney.
Call T.J.
He'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
He didn't play the one song of his I know, though, Shannon.
Which one's that?
That, uh, Combrera, holla, rabbi, rahla, like that one.
How's it go again now?
How was there?
It goes Cabrera.
Hala.
That one.
Yeah, that means of a now.
You should play that one next.
Okay, well, how would I find that one?
It's called Cabrera.
Okay, Cabrera.
C-A-M-Brera.
Hala.
Hala.
You didn't recognize it from match for a-mish edition?
That one, that's how you do.
Okay.
That one's in the system.
Combrera's got to be in there.
He uses it for his WWE entrance.
It's not here.
I can find it on YouTube.
You can find it.
859-2-80.
2287, text machine, 772, 774, 7754.
What person writes Matt?
I wasn't mad about the Super Bowl show,
but I didn't watch it because I don't like bad bunny stance
on some political issues.
All right.
But, like, if that was my standard,
Shannon, I wouldn't get to listen to any of the country music I like.
Well, you would have to find out everybody that you listen to.
Okay, now, where do you stand on this?
I mean, my guess is Travis Trent and Toby Keith and George Strait don't agree.
with me. But I, when I hear, I smell T-R-O-U-B-L-E, I'm in. Right? I don't care. I mean, Toby
Keith's one of my favorite artists. And I know he didn't agree with me. But I love it. I love all his
songs. So you can't apply that to everything in life. If you apply that, if you apply that to everything
in life, if you apply that to everything in life, you're not listening now a lot of you. Right.
Right. I don't understand that mindset, at least to me. What person writes, Matt, 20,000.
Monks is what usually Dean Dome sounds like.
I think it's cool they actually did something fun.
True, we've been there.
It's not a very exciting arena for a basketball game,
but I just think it's one of the few that you just don't do that.
You just don't rush to court on a home win.
All right, we need to talk about one thing before we go to the phone, Drew.
What's that?
We've got to talk about Billy and how close he posed in the pictures with the football players.
Oh, yes, yes, yes.
If you made fun of him about this yet?
I thought you would.
All right, so after every time we would interview somebody or most of them, we'd take a picture.
And I posted one of the pictures today as a thing for the show.
I think that's Denzel Ward from the Cleveland Browns.
Then I posted a picture earlier of Christian Watson with the Green Bay Packers.
You know, Drew and I, like, there's two different ways to do pictures.
Everybody puts their arms around each other, right?
That's one way.
But see, we don't know these football players.
So I didn't feel like I could just bro hug Denzel Ward.
Billy R. Sports did.
Go look at those pictures.
And look at the distance between me and Drew, Drew and Billy.
And look how close Billy is to the picture.
Billy is like Christian Watson and Billy look like they're dating.
That's the one.
That's the best one.
Yeah.
They're holding each other.
and me and you're in like a different part of the stage.
We're not even near them.
Billy takes Christian Watson over away from us.
He wants to be close to him.
He wants to be up in him.
He wants to be close to him.
I like Billy's desire to get as close to these players as possible.
I will say they're going to put a bonus episode to cover zero out this week with our
interviews with the secondary players.
And I was kind of surprised, Drew, how easy that worked.
We thought we'd have nothing to say to him.
And it actually kind of worked out.
Yeah, I won't say we were dreading those.
We're excited for everybody, but we knew them the least.
And objectively, they weren't the biggest names compared to what we had on day one.
But they ended up being hilarious.
And I know we have a lot of Bengals fans, the Orlando Brown Jr. interview.
Go listen to that.
He talks about Joe Burrow, gifting them fossils and what Burroughs like behind the scenes.
And they get, even though he was talking about the Bengals, it gets way outside of football and very funny.
I highly recommend everyone catch that one if you like Cincinnati.
That's going to come out later in the week.
If you're a Bengals fan, our interview with Orlando Brown, you're going to love.
Because he's all about, we talk about the city of Cincinnati and all that.
Drew's being nice and saying we weren't as excited.
Ryan, I didn't know who any of these people were until they sat down except Denzel Ward.
I had a card with some facts about them, and then I just had to, we just had to figure out what we were going to say.
And they ended up liking all of them.
media row
I would say
you know I'm I'm kind of a political dork
so I enjoyed the conventions
the Republican and Democrat convention
I really enjoyed that
but this might have been the coolest thing
we've gotten to do
I loved it
it was so awesome
to walk around
and just see all of these
people and all of these shows
and like every single
thing since I was like these
people I've been listening to or watching since I was a child, and they're right there,
and they're doing the show right next to you.
And Friday, I know we were a little giddy, but we're next to the NFL network set, Ryan,
and there's just Hall of Famer after Hall of Famer coming within feet of us.
And it was, I mean, I don't get starstruck, but I got a little starstruck, I think just because
of the amount and the way it happened.
And there was a moment where I just sat there and go, I can't believe we're here.
I ought to be the same way.
Like, I can't believe we're here.
This hobby that we started 20 years ago, we are sitting here working for the NFL.
Are you kidding me?
That's crazy.
And I had a lot of that this weekend.
It was awesome.
You look at Governor's Beau Jackson and Barry Sanders.
Even Kelvin Jimstone that one day.
You were hanging out with him.
I mean, you would get starstruck.
And I'll say this for you guys.
For every Denzel Ward interview you did, you killed it with guys like Stevie Johnson.
There was some really great stuff you guys put out and made it very entertaining.
Well, Denzel Ward was good, actually.
I'm telling you, when you listen to it, you'd be surprised.
And I also thought it was neat, Shannon, to hear all these people in the industry, like who knew us.
Yeah.
Like who knew our success.
Or listen to me and Myron on Sunday mornings.
Or listen to me and Drew and Billy.
I just, it was awesome.
That was, it'll never.
You know, it's never like your first time the next time.
So I probably, next time we'll know what to expect.
You'll be all jaded like Billy.
I'm not going to be jaded.
Now, Billy, Billy was in.
Dude.
Billy was like, it was his dream.
Billy was in heaven.
I am seeing this picture with Christian Watson for the first time right now.
Christian Watson and Billy look to be conjoined twins.
Do they not?
Like Billy's right arm is, I don't know where it's at.
They look like they're going to prom together.
They do.
Why did Billy get so close to Christian Watson?
I don't know.
And Christian Watson is the one that had just roasted Billy the most.
Yeah, I mean, he just roasted him for his quarter of quarters.
I think he felt a connection to him?
Yes.
Now, quickly, Drew, before we go, the phones, I don't know if you know this, Shannon.
Drew is basically like a part of Puerto Rico now.
Oh, is that right?
I'm big in Latin America.
I'll give the real quick setup and then he can tell you specifics.
We each had to go somewhere, and Drew gets left there for a minute because he wants to meet.
Who did you want to meet?
My young son, Ronald, Acuna from the Braves.
You know, Shannon.
You would have waited with me.
They said he's 15 minutes away.
I'm like, I got 15 minutes.
He stays by himself.
Long story short, Ronald Acuna shows up along with this Puerto Rican boxer, and whoever the NFL was going to have interviewing doesn't show up.
So the NFL is scrambling, and they just look at Drew and go, well, you?
interviewing. We need somebody to interview them. And then I'll let Drew take it from there.
They were freaking out. I guess there was some big partnership that has just been announced.
They're bringing in, uh, it's this, they're called, uh, it's an agency. Remus, I believe is the agency
name. And they have all these stars. This boxer is like the next big thing. And they're also excited,
but then they realize there's no one here to actually talk to these people. So they ask me and I'm like,
uh, sure, who is that boxer that doesn't speak English? I don't know him. I don't know his name.
I don't know if he's won anything.
And there's no time.
There's like, he's sitting there looking at me waiting to start the interview.
And I'm like, whatever.
What's his name, Xander?
What?
Sure, I'll sit down and do it.
He actually, he was great.
I was not prepared at all, but it went well.
And then as soon as he gets up, there's my man, Ronald waiting.
And Ronald sits down.
And I have no time to process.
I'm like, I am interviewing my favorite baseball player right now.
He had a translator sit down and I asked the translator.
I'm like, do I ask you the question?
questions.
Ask him the questions.
And then Ronald shrugs off the translator.
He's like, just us.
And I was like, oh, my God, this is too much.
But it ended up being great.
It went well.
And when I got done, everyone was thinking me like I'd save the whole company.
No, he saved the NFL.
Wow.
I mean, there's more to this than this, Shannon.
The NFL had announced a partnership the day before with Bad Bunny.
Okay, the NFL and I Heart Radio.
So this was supposed to be their interviews to start the partnership.
And whoever was supposed to do it didn't show up.
Wow.
Well, that's that jerk.
Drew essentially saved the company.
Better boy.
And all the guys that brought the stars, it's Bad Bunny's agency, and I was hanging out
with them waiting and then they love me because I did the interviews.
I think I could have been a shrub last night in the halftime show if I wanted to.
I saw them again.
Remember, we were leaving the hotel and I saw the guy with the blonde mokok?
All these Puerto Rican dudes just start hugging Drew.
Like, they're like, I'm surprised he was not in the halftime show.
The boxer he interviewed, Shannon, you know, on the halftime show,
there were two guys boxing.
One of them's the guy Drew interviewed.
Oh, really?
They were like, when I got done, the people at the NFL were like,
you have no idea he just interviewed, but he's the next great.
He's already shattering like Mayweather Records.
He's the youngest to win this and that.
So they're like, you're going to, one day you'll appreciate this more than you do,
and you'll have this video.
And I'm like, cool.
Ronald McCune was here.
I'm freaking out.
One more thing.
Billy almost got in a fight with Jamel Hill.
that wouldn't have gone well for Billy
Billy cut her off in line
like she's in line
Billy just cuts in front of her
Mr. Privilege himself
Billy just cuts right in front
of her and she what did she say
to him? I was standing next to Billy I did not
cut the line I went up to check on Billy is when we're leaving
the hotel and I heard a woman go
excuse me sir there is a line
and point to the back and I turned and I was like
oh boy that's Jamel Hill
all right Billy you're on your own
bud Billy turned yellow
Like Billy was like, where's Christian Watson when I need him right now?
Billy turned into a Simpson?
Yes, he did turn into a Simpson.
He was like, where is my boy Christian to save me?
Well, he's got that quarter-zip privilege.
Yeah, it's exactly quarter-sip privilege.
Seriously, though, hey, thank you to everybody who helped us along the way,
including who helped us do the show.
But listen all year.
We're doing our final episode today for this season.

See, that's exactly what I said.
You said Cabrera.
I did not.
I said Chumbea.
Hala.
Bambra.
Rala.
Sounds just like him, man.
It's great.
You just don't like my performance.
Don't get mad just because my performance isn't your kind of thing, Shannon.
I still have the exact.
I'm going to flip it over to the turning point, halftime show.
If I perform this, you switch it over?
Yeah.
I won't be your shrub.
One person writes, I love that Drew saved the NFL.
I didn't know when I was watching the Super Bowl that if it wasn't for Drew, it would not have happened, correct?
Exactly.
It's totally not a halftime show or any international flair with my new friends from Latin America.
I mean, they loved it.
One person writes, Matt, we didn't hear much about you all going to the parties.
What was it like?
Parties were awesome.
Most of the time, Ryan, I had to, Drew and I had to play parents to keep Billy and Mario.
from acting a fool.
I did feel like I was there.
Drew and I did feel like we were like their uncles trying to keep them from acting silly.
You got to see what?
Ludacris on the stage?
They literally fell asleep in the car on the way back with their heads next to each other, like two children.
Oh, how sweet.
I have a picture.
I have a picture.
Oh, I got to see this.
I'm not tweeting it out because I don't want to embarrass them.
Send it to me and I'll tweet it out.
I know.
You're not tweeting it out.
There's a picture of the two of them asleep in the back seat of the Uber with
their heads leaning up against each.
Like twinsies.
I had to lecture them Saturday night.
You know, Matt had to leave a little early because he had to get up early for ESPN.
The rest of us got to sleep in.
And I pulled both them aside.
I said, I will stay here with you.
I will pay for the Uber.
I don't care what the Uber costs.
But you all cannot be stumbling out of here looking for this Uber.
You have to be collective.
I'm not babysitting.
It's like, I will get his home if you are coherent.
I will leave you here.
Yeah.
He's become grown up.
He's not.
I pulled them both aside.
I was like, have fun.
I'm not being dad here, but I'm not carrying you all out of here.
So keep it together long enough to get in Uber.
This used to be the conversation I had with Drew when we were traveling around the country.
I'm not carrying you home.
You do it.
And now Drew, Shannon, is having to do it back to them.
Drew the dad.
Like I said, he's practicing.
He's about to be a dad in real life.
This is a good practice for you.
The best thing, Ryan, is as the night goes on, Billy's hair gets bigger.
Okay?
Billy's hair goes higher and higher and higher.
and that's how you know things are going.
Also, Mario gets bolder.
He tries to sneak into all the VIP sections.
He sees Travis Kelsey.
He tries to jump the fence and get in.
Mario's going to get us in trouble because Mario's just,
and then he'll act like he'll go, hey, watch this.
I'm going to go over where Justin Bieber is.
And then he'll walk and he'll get stopped.
And he's like, oh, I can't be here.
I didn't realize that.
Where's your credential?
Matt, we've got to tell my favorite Mario and Billy's story from Friday,
how four of us walk into a dark building.
Two of us are wearing sunglasses.
All right.
So you have two people in sunglasses, two people not in sunglasses.
Which two do you think got lost in the dark building?
The two in sunglasses.
Yeah, imagine that.
We're walking into a dark building.
You don't need sunglasses, Shannon.
You don't need sunglasses.
Billy and Mario both wearing sunglasses.
So we're supposed to walk the red carpet.
I don't know why.
But we are.
they walk off and they're lost, completely lost.
And I ask why, and they go, well, we had our sunglasses on.
Oh, my goodness.
Maybe you take them off.
We're in a dark building.
But that was part of their vibe, Brian.
They wanted to have their sunglasses on.
Mario was so excited and missed it.
Probably the thing he was looking forward to the most.
They turn into children when we go in these.
They really do.
Billy is 31 years old, and he just goes down to Mario's age the moment we walk in.
They were the blind leading the blind trying to walk in with those sunglasses on.
Oh, my.
But I did have fun.
Who's up next?
Jay and Lyndon.
Jay and Lyndon.
Go ahead.
Hey, Matt, two quick things.
First, we're a year and a half end to coach Pope.
We've had this great turnaround.
We've had these crazy amount of injuries.
We've questioned the roster management.
And then we're worried about the lack of players next year.
How do we fairly assess what he's done so far?
I don't know.
I think it's going to be really interesting at the end of the year to kind of grade the year for Pope.
I think a lot of it's going to be what happens in the tournament.
And, you know, we got seven tough games coming.
It's, I think I gave him like a D for the first half of the year.
If I were to grade him through today for the SEC,
I think I'd probably give him like a B plus for the SEC.
So we'll see how it all plays out, Jay.
But I'm with you.
It's going to be really hard to grade this year because clearly they didn't necessarily
do a great job with the roster.
But he has made the best of it.
last few weeks.
I thought Ryan was supposed to lay off the cring.
Did you hear the post game show when he talked to the couple that had just got married?
I did not.
I did, however, here, Jay, someone wrote me, and I saw this when I got up Sunday morning,
and they said, for your sanity, don't listen to the end of the post game show without
all right.
So I'm not going to do it.
I appreciate the call.
I don't even want to know what you did, Ryan, but I would.
woke up to multiple messages of don't listen to Ryan's end of postgame show on Saturday night.
So I don't even, I don't know what happened, Ryan, but I'm going to listen to it so that I stay joyous.
I won't relive it, but I'll just tell you that it was Stony just got married Saturday before the game.
And after they got married, they went home to watch the game together.
That was really a lot of.
They were just celebrating their love.
I think I know where that goes after that, Shannon.
I think I know the kind of thing he would have said.
draft kings.
You bet five you can win up to $300 in bonus bets as we moved to basketball season.
Big match up tonight.
Top 10.
Number one, Arizona, undefeated, goes to Kansas.
This is probably their best chance to lose before the tournament.
Who you got, Ryan?
Peterson plays, Kansas wins.
They can cover and win.
True.
This is more of the games of the year to me.
Arizona at Kansas tonight, 9 o'clock, who you got?
I'm going to say Arizona pulls off the stunter.
Oh, you think they win in?
What's what?
Fogg Allen Fieldhouse.
I'll give the slight edge to Arizona.
All right.
I agree with Drew.
I think Arizona goes in and wins and stays undefeated.
Kansas does not lose on Monday night at home.
Not on Monday night.
Well, because they always play this Monday night late game.
Yeah.
And it's usually Kansas.
Mm-hmm.
And they find a way to.
win games. They have no business winning
in this slot. Yeah, they were down nine with like a minute
to go against somebody. They won against TCU.
They're going to win tonight.
I'm looking forward. This will be one of the great games
of the season. Thank you all
very much. We will see you tomorrow.
