You pulled up a chair because you had been there or just came by. And he just walked over our table and hovered over. Like, I got a problem or something. It's like, can we eat? Yeah, he did say y'all got a problem. Something like that.

Yeah. He's with Dan Wetzel, who we like, and Dan kind of pulled him away. And then our friends are like, what is he doing? Get away. We're trying to eat shrimp. Yeah. And there he goes. The rest of the message says, Ryan picks someone completely.

random. And dead. And dead. Rest in peace. And then Shannon just takes a huge shot at someone. During the break, you all were doing various Cutler impressions, which I have to say was hilarious. You said, do quickly what you said Cutler does during the show. I'm a regular listener. I picked up on all his quirks and his habits, but he'll do, like, an example, he'll, like, stretch out a word, like moving on to butt, but baseball, like, he'll stretch it out. He does not say,

He does. It kind of adds to the, you know, he's a big energy guy. I've always thought if I did that, I would sound like an idiot. Moving to La La La La La Familiar. Like he'll emphasize a point by like doing like, you know, stretching out like that. And then you. And I can do all of his adverts. You did one too.

I can't do it. He's my buddy. Oh, come on. It's with love. You're doing it in a loving way. We're going to be together Friday night. Good. Perfect time.

Go ahead. Just what did he do? Well, you know, I've worked with him for a long time. And I know when he's like, and he's tap dancing, he'll do that laugh. When, like, he doesn't know what to say. Or I'm thinking of the next question. Okay. All right.

so it looked like he was like a superhero. Yeah. That would be good. His shoulder shimmy? Oh, the shoulders. You know how many times I tried to do that on the Transylvania Intermoral Court? I didn't make a lot of shots, so I didn't get to do it a lot. Patrick Sparks talking trash to Billy Packer.

I mean, there's a bunch of these things we can come up with. Oh, standing at them on the table. Those are all good. you've got to get the actual image. You got to think about something that is an image. I like if you could do the one of Willie Duncan over the guy at Florida. Yes. Yeah.

You know, if you could catch that moment that he's kind of... And even if you had Rock Oliver flexing there on the side. Just to make that the whole mural. That's my favorite screen grab in history. I've been seeing a lot on players we could have that we almost recruiter like Tracy McGraedy, Dirknewitki, Germain O'Neill, who is the biggest impact player you think we missed out on that would have given that would have actually come? You're talking about that when I actually come? Yeah, the thing is we were so good those years. I mean, Germain O'Neill, if you want to know what he's talking about,

Germain O'Neill did an interview where it was before the 96th season, the one we won the title, but Tino went to recruit him and said, We'd love to have you, but you need to go to the draft. We're going to be good with you or we're going to be good without you, which is a pretty confident thing to say because Germain O'Neill ended up being a great player in the NBA. Oh, yeah. Can you think, though, I appreciate the call of somebody who didn't come here who was going to, who it actually would have made a difference, that Jermaine O'Neill-Magrety years,

we were already really good those years. Maybe Dirk. Dirk Novitsky. They thought they had him. And that would have been. That was the 98, so it'd have been the 99 recruiting class. Exactly. That would have been the team after the national title. Right.

If you have dirt, maybe you keep going and keep winning them. I feel like the tubby's two big misses were Dirk Novitsky and Tyler Hansborough. He thought he had Tyler Hansbrough and that made him a difference. Well, Tyler Hansborough was a huge one. Yeah. But Dirk Novitsky, was it a miss? He just decided not to go to college. If he had gone to college, I think he was coming here.

I think so. But if you put Dirk on that, would he have been on the 98-99 team, the one that lost to Michigan State. If Derek's on there could be a make a difference. There's two Calipari ones that I think started the spiral. One was Cade Cunningham. We ended up with Devin Askew instead. That was a that was a... And Cade Cunningham's elite. That was a downgrade.

And then Trey Young has said he would have gone to Kentucky if they didn't have Quote Green. It would have been interesting to see what that would have been like. He was crazy at Oklahoma. But remember, Che Alexander was on that team. It's true. Could have had both of them. Wow. It was Quade that kept him away. Are you all worried at all about the Contagious explosive diarrhea of disease? I already knew where you're going with that.

Of course I'm worried. I think I've already had it, so I'm good. You haven't had it because they said it last for like a month. I know a few people have had cases got out of it pretty quickly. But maybe it wasn't the same thing. This one apparently like, if you have it, you know. You wouldn't be able to do this show. You'd be running to a restaurant.

It's apparently so bad you can't even walk around. You should have seen me Sunday Monday. think it's from like a parasite or something? They think it's from a parasite that's in like... Taco Bell. Produce. Taco Bell, basically low-level produce. So like Taco Bell, the kind of lettuce that's in bags at the grocery.

That's what got Drew. He loves to talk about. So last week to get ready for a wedding, I ate bag salad for every meal, except one meal. I didn't eat salad. I had Taco Bell. So you just tried as hard as you could. I had about seven bag salads last week and one trip. You only got through it after a day or two.

I don't think that would be that bad. It's about three days. If that's as bad as it is, like, what I've read is that people are, like, incapacitated for two weeks. That's... How do you even, like, get in a car and drive anywhere? Well, you don't. Y'all should have seen how I got to Louisville. It took about three hours.

You still got there. I'm saying, like, if you read the stories of these people, they, like, cannot move for a week or two. Maybe you did have. I'm not saying... I'm just saying... I didn't sleep all night Sunday. I was on the bathroom floor. So are you worried about it, Shannon?

A little bit. Yeah, when you say explosive, how explosive are we talking about? Is it going to blow a hole in the porcelain? I mean, I've never heard of a diarrhea epidemic on the news. Explosive. Have you? Yeah, for a news anchor to talk about explosive diary on the news is kind of breaking ground. Well, this comes up every summer, but it's like a hundred times as bad this summer for some reason.

Now, Taco Bell is saying it ain't us. Of course they are. Wasn't me. Yeah. but I mean Taco Bell you could just say this always about Taco Bell kind of goes right through you

the thing is it's in produce who's getting produce at Taco Bell well if you get a taco at Taco Bell lettuce is on it you know I mean like I think I think that would be how it is I'm going today I'm going there for lunch I'm going to tempt it

I'm going to test it out and see what happens well you could argue like now's going to be when it's safest because they've been in the news is having the explosive diarrhea. Yeah. But they're saying like, throw away all your, if you have bought bag lettuce in the last few weeks, throw it away.

Are you going to do that? I don't have any bag lettuce. You like Ryan eats healthy. All he eats is cheeseburgers every day anyway, right? Yeah. It's not a cheeseburger yesterday. It's not a contagious person to person. So as long as you're not eating produce.

Our son has autism. He's immersed in UK basketball because my husband just bleeds blue. he loves to travel. So in 2024,

we took Pat to every county in the state of Kentucky and let him shoot a basketball wherever we could find a goal. Oh, that's awesome. Yes, and we did it in less than 120 days. Wow, so you would just drive around,

find a goal in a county, and he would shoot a basketball. Did you take a picture or a video? Pictures, videos, documented everyone. And Dad took a shot too. But we just kind of circled around Pal County until we worked away all the eastern counties and northern counties,

and then we worked their way out west. That's really neat. So what was your favorite place where he shot? The favorite park we shot was in. in Paduca. Okay. And it was, I think it's the Bob Parker. Park.

Yeah. Okay. But it's just an amazing place, amazing place. We were usually spending like 15 minutes at the most at a park and we moved on. Did you ever go to somebody's house and do it? We did not. Okay. No, I used Google Earth and I could look down at parks.

names that I could find and you can see the basketball goals. I got you. What a neat thing to do with your family, Marilyn. I think that's very cool. And what's your son's name again? It's Patrick. Lebeiro. And there are rules we learned about, like, where they can stand. They don't serve. They don't serve. And so they have different rules. Their job is to basically dig. Yeah, they can't go above the net, I think. Yeah.

So they just have different rules, but I think they get to roam around and stand in different places, etc. I appreciate the call. Somebody who knows more specifics can tell me. They subbed in an out without limitations. We did get Andy's question about if we could, for 24 hours, live another person's life on the show. Who would you pick? I would pick Ryan because I would like to have Ryan's outlook on life for 24 hours. 24 hours where, like, you just walk through live, Shannon are like, yay.

Mm-hmm. Everything's happy. Everything's happy. Like, you don't have worries. But you don't want to have been in him like when he was going through his issues. No, I'd be like to be those 24 hours in the hospital. I mean, if I got to choose the 24 hours. Yeah.

But I like, he's very content in life. What about you, Ryan? I was going through it in my head. Drew just has a baby, so 24 hours you've got to get up early, get care of a baby. Shannon gets up at like 4.30 in the morning. Yeah. I'm going to eliminate those two guys.

They have to get up real early. So I'm down to you and Billy and Mario. Yeah. Being with you, you've got to put up with a lot of crap. People messing with you online. Yeah. So now I'm down to Mario and Billy. And I'm not sure what Billy does after the pre-show.

That's exactly my answer. Oh, yeah. I may go with Billy. He works for an hour a day. That's my answer. You work for an hour a day and then you sit in the sauna the rest of the day. I don't know how you can just lay down and fall asleep.

Yep, immediately. Your brain doesn't race. Shets off. It's got to be so easy to shut your brain off. Well, yeah. I mean, it's got to be, like, I have to, like, ramp down, and I have to, like, for you, you can just, just flip it off. See, yoga girls that way.

She's got to have her me time to kind of wind down. I'm like, nope. I mean, you're just. Put my head in the pillow, and I'm out. I'm with you. So for me, it's naps and his backyard pool is amazing. I would love to have a day with the pool in an afternoon nap. Yeah, except now that I know what you do in that pool and all that, I'm not as interested in being in it.

You get your own now. You don't need his. That's true. I do. Although mine continues, like, I am in a war with bugs in my pool. Still. Well, I mean, it's just, they just, you know, the guy comes once a week. So I bought one of these little skimmers that floats around, but then it gets stuck in the shallow end.

And I have to sit there and move it. I was like, I bought you to do it on your own. I'm not out here to drag you around. It was expensive, too. Did you hear from anybody in the neighborhood yesterday? Nobody calls me. Okay. But I've heard people, I did look outside.

Saw some more walkers last night. More people are to buy them. I think there were some people. We'll see when my application for membership comes up if that comment hurt me. So the house passed, the day. light savings time bill. It did. What's fascinating me about this bill,

now the Senate hasn't passed it yet. What's fascinating me about this bill is there seems to be no partisan lien. Like half the people for it are Republicans and half against the Republicans, half that are four to it are Democrats and half that are against the Democrats. So it's literally, I like it because it's just like, what do you think of this issue?

There's no, well, what am I supposed to do? Right. I had the hardest time. I'm racking my brain as to what we're actually what it's going to do. All right. So essentially, we are doing daylight savings time. Now, yes.

Which means the time we have now. Correct. Which means no falling back. Okay. So we will be staying forward. The people that are against it seem to be senators that represent time zones where they are at the very edge of the time zone late. So to give me an example, I think people's worry is that like in Lexington, like Lexington

and Louisville seem to be the people that are most concerned because the sun will rise so late here. Does that make sense? Yes, right. Because it's going, so like the, for what I understand, the sun in the winter, if we do this, will rise at like 8.30 in the morning. Right. So it means your kids at the bus stop and in dark.

It gets closer to nine. So if you go look at the senators that are voting against it, they're all people who represent states that have a time zone that is the far west before it gets to another time zone. So for instance, the Kentucky people are against it. Indiana. Indiana. Whereas the people on the eastern side like New York, Florida, they're for it.

Yes. Because right now in the winter. the sun rises at like four in the morning. So knowing that, that it will have an effect on us where, yes, it will stay, it'll stay light in the winter until 7.30. But are you, is it going to be weird that you're going to have to go to work in the dark pretty much everyone? Me personally, that's what I would prefer. Dark in the morning, more sunlight in the afternoon or late late at the day. Are you worried about the kids?

That's the, that's the whole thing. I don't have kids. I know parents that do have kids. They don't want your kids standing out in the dark. They get street lights. It'll be okay. Street lights will light it up. So you're four. Yeah, I'm four. Yeah, it's dark when I go to work anyway.

So what do I care? Apparently, we've done this before. It seems like every couple years it comes up or something. But in the 70s, they passed this. And apparently everyone hated it. And then they immediately, like, three years later, flipped it back. So is that going to happen again? I think the kid at the bus stops and walking to school should be a

deal breaker. I mean, I used to walk pretty far to school at a young age. The thought of doing that in the darkness, and I'm not even one didn't grow up in that dangerous in area, I think that causes more problems than the benefits of us being able to walk the neighborhood later at night or do our yard work. I don't think I realize that the people most adversely

affected are like us. Yeah. Are like these people who are at the far edge, the far western edge of their time zone. Of the eastern time zone. Or the far western edge of the central time zone. So if you are at the far western edge of the time zone, And that's a lot of listeners to this show.

I mean, Louisville is kind of the far western edge of the eastern time zone. So it will get, it will, the sun will come up the latest in Louisville. Right. So the guy most against it is at Tom Cotton. And he's the senator from Arkansas who has this exact same issue. So it's kind of interesting. It's tough when most adults, I think, would prefer to have more of the sunlight in the afternoon. But if you live in Bowlinger,

this is probably the best thing you could ask for. Yeah. Because in Bowling Green, now the sun will rise at a reasonable time and you're going to have more darkness, or excuse me, more light at night. I think. Am I right about that? Well, it gets dark like 4.30 there. Yeah, so now it'll be later.

Yeah. So they're probably for it. So it's odd. I bet people in Lexington and Louisville are probably against it, but people in Bowling Green would probably love it. Bowling Green, Owensboro, someone's western, Madisonville. Because if you're at the far eastern side of a time zone, this helps you a lot. That's why all the East Coast states now are for us.

That's why all the East Coast states for it. Or that start of that central time when you would normally, like I said, before 30, you're getting dark. Exactly. So like in Kentucky, you could see where half our state's going to be against it, but half our state will like it. Yeah, I saw the map. It goes right down the middle of Kentucky. So anyway, we'll see. It's going to be in the Senate.

Nobody's sure if it's going to pass or not. It passed in the House. but if you go look at the votes, it was complete. It's the first vote I can remember that's all geography. It's not party. It's geography. Interesting. Rodney. Go ahead, Rodney. Hey, guys. Two questions, Matt.

We used to hear a lot about, especially in Coach Cow's early days, about these legendary pickup games that would happen in Lexington before the season started. Does that still happen? And was there really a ruckus between DeMarcus Cous, and Tyler Ullis and what happened. That's all I have. Thank you. Yeah. So I think they do happen, but it's not as legendary.

Like all the guys don't come. I mean, I know last year the TBT team played the UK team that was there. You're supposed to this week, but I don't think we have enough people. Yeah. Yes, that did happen. Yes, Tyler Ullis and DeMarcus cousins got into it. DeMarcus would, from what I understand, Drew, he would kind of go at it with all the new guys. just as like a welcome to Kentucky.

I think Booker was involved on the Ulys side too. Those are three guys that are going to stand up for themselves, whatever's going on. I think people have, there's no player in Kentucky history that I think his public persona matches less of what he is than Devin Booker. Like I think people think

Devin Booker is a sweetheart. But he ain't a sweetheart. He's an assassin. And he, yeah. I mean, he's not a bad. dude isn't like a bad guy. He's a bad dude. Yeah.

Like you, I mean, and so is Tyler. They came in as like best friends. They had each other's back in that against the older guy. I'm not right? Eulis and Booker, I mean, I don't think people's image of what, like, they're two of the, two of the harder dudes that have been here. They have that dog in them, some might say. Yeah.

and I don't know, and I don't think that's what people think. I think maybe they think about it, Tyler, but they don't think that about Devin Booker. He said because his public persona is nice, good-looking guy, easy-going. Yeah, dates Kylie Jenner. Yeah. And he is nice. Like, he was great. Very nice. But, like, if you cross him, it's not just going to pass easily. And they were kind of their own thing, the two of them. They both had to chip on their shoulder because the Harrison twin stayed. And then all of a sudden you got DeMarcus cousins trying to bully you, and they did not back down. Yeah. So, yes, that happened. And those were. were, I mean, I went to some of those games in the early years, and they were awesome.

I mean, they were like, they were fun to watch. You never knew who was going to show up. Sometimes guys from other teams would show up, but we were under a strict embargo not to talk about. And we weren't allowed to go unless we didn't say we had seen it. That was one thing good about these father-son camps. The guys would scrimmage after the camp was over. But that wasn't the real ones. The real ones were the ones in the practice facility.

Oh, yeah. Where they really went at each other. And I went a couple times, and they did say, you can't even say you were here. But they were something else. Oh, yeah. You know, the famous one is the Thunder playing the 2012 team. But there were others throughout the years.

I think it's ended, but, you know, with Calipari being gone, but I wish those guys would still come back in the summer. Because, I mean, they were stars in the NBA. My grandma used to say fast time and slow time. It'd be hard if the county split in half. Yeah. You know? How do you even do that? It seems like it'd get confused. Yeah, I would think so. I've said this before. I was in a weird county where we never, ever changed the clocks. We were in fast time half the year.

We were slow time half the year. Never changed. Okay. Fast time. So you're used to this. Yeah. Yeah, well, it's not going to be chaos now because there'll never be any spring forward fallback. I always hate because we always spring forward at the SEC tournament.

I always hated when we would make the finals, which hadn't been in a long time. That Sunday morning pregame show would come really early. Oh, my. I've been at the bar a few times. times when that realization happens both ways. Either you get the extra hour or kick you out early. And when you fall back, that would be such a fun night. You're falling back.

Now you're not going to get either one of those if this passes, but it's not certain it's going to pass. It's past the House. It's got to pass the Senate, right? Yeah, got to pass the Senate. But that requires 60 votes sometimes. So. Why don't we just leave it the way it is?

Well, that's what we're trying to do. I know. Leave it with. Well, no. Every couple years. If we leave it the way it is, we're changing it. Yeah, if we leave it the way it is, we're still changing back and forth. Just leave it. But I don't know what that meant. That could mean anything. Leave it the way it is, like leave it the time the way it is or leave the law the way it is?

Leave the time the way it is. Just keep. Bels the time right now. That would mean passing the law. Then do it. Do it and then forget about it. I think you just contradicted yourself, though. I think you just said both things. Do you want to have, do you want to spring forward and fall back or not? No. Okay. All right, so then you would pass this bill. I would pass it.

I have a feeling if he was in Congress. He would forget which way he was supposed to vote on the way there. Lobby in again with Ryan would be very easy. He'd be like, what am I doing again? Be easy to get him to flip to your side. What do I really think? He's copying off the person. He's doing an interview with the press where he goes, what do I think again?

What did I just vote for? What do you think? I could totally see you saying, what do I think? Harry in Shepherdsville, go ahead. sad songs and waltzes by Keith Wittley is probably. If I like those two songs, why would you think we don't have similar music taste? I mean, I've always liked Keith Whitley, and I've always liked Into the Mystic. And we do have some. We both like chestnut.

We both like Yolkham. Although I will say on Yolkham, he needs to file that purple rain cover because that is awful. And then one comment to Drew, you have a newborn. All they do is sleep. You should be able to get all the naps that you want. And I have the list of it. Appreciate the call. It's not true.

I go straight here and have website obligations that keep you pretty busy. we we we we we drew is a very busy guy you may not see it because it just seems like the but drew is essentially has two jobs just like uh just like i do ryan has half a job and when i finished my second job it is now washing bottles and i i'd say about at 10 o'clock i can be like all right what's 30 minute show i can watch drew go ahead drew yeah so we always you know we had the free Enis and the free Big Z. Drew's Tuesday. Shannon Wednesday. Maggie Thursday. Ryan Friday. Now everybody will still be on the show, but different people are going to drive every day. And Ryan, it gives everybody a shot to see who's driving.

Summer shows, man. They kind of go off the rails a lot of time. So I'm anxious to see how excited to see where it all goes. Speaking of this Friday, that was supposed to be in my car interview. I was already counting on that. You were going to have Kerr here. That's not going to have. You lost a segment or two there.

You've got to work on a backup plan for Friday. So it begins tomorrow. Right. And then, you know, everybody can, of those five people, see who's driving the best. Well, have fun on your trip. I know it's kind of a big weekend for you. I'm going to fellowship this weekend for the first final one. And then I'm off the next week.
