Starting point is 00:00:00 Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where SportsSlice comes in. I'm Timbo, and every episode we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headlines. This is Clivert Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Cliverts show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee.
Starting point is 00:01:14 We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me. He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue with 42. A rep, my mama want you to wave at her. What?
Starting point is 00:01:31 Where's he at? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clifferts show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:01:50 We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was harmed. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Mark keep coming until he's like, you know, I love you, dog. You know, it's all love.
Starting point is 00:02:05 This was just playoffs. This was just basketball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Well, well, well, well. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, grandpals, and grandmas, aunts and uncles. I almost swallowed my gum there, I think. Welcome to the local total leaders, KSR postgame show. I mean, it's been a rough couple days in Big Blue Nation, right?
Starting point is 00:02:30 I mean, after the North Carolina loss a week ago tonight and then the Gonzaga loss on Friday, it's been a rough couple of days. But mission accomplished tonight. Kentucky needed to feel good win. They needed to win by a lot. They needed to score a lot of points. They got it done.
Starting point is 00:02:47 103.67, although they didn't cover, Billy. Only 36 points they didn't cover. That was a hell of a spread, though. Was it 45? Yeah. It was 45. Kentucky Wildcats, you know, I think a lot of fans. I think a lot of fans just wanted them to play with some effort.
Starting point is 00:03:03 They did. They wanted to play with some heart. They did. They wanted to play with some passion. They did. They wanted to shoot the ball well. They did. They wanted to hit some threes.
Starting point is 00:03:13 They did. I mean, you can check a lot of boxes off in the game tonight. But it really doesn't matter if they don't play well on Saturday. I mean, Saturday is the one guy. Like we even had this question on the pregame show. What could they even do tonight to get the fan base back on board to change their attitude about what they've seen the last couple weeks. And, really, I think it's, it comes down to Saturday.
Starting point is 00:03:35 They cannot let Indiana come in here on Saturday at Rup Arena and beat them and bully him around like they've done to North Carolina and Michigan State and Gonzaga, especially just kind of bully them around. They can't do that. They need to show some toughness. So even though they got a big win tonight, I think a lot of fans are, we'll find out here when they open up the phone lines, 859, 2802, 287. I think a lot of fans are still, well, it was just North Carolina Central.
Starting point is 00:03:58 You know, when you're going to do it against one of the big boys? When you're going to do it against Indiana Hoosiers? And you know better than anybody being from Indiana, right? You can't lose to the Hoosiers. Cannot. I mean, when I was growing up, this was the game. The marquee game every year was Kentucky, Indiana. You know, we go way back where Bob Knight kind of smacked Jobie Hall in the back of the head.
Starting point is 00:04:23 And the game in 75 when Indiana was undefeated and Kentucky beat them. You know, if you go way back. But then when I got in the Media Billy, I started covering the Kentucky Indiana game when they had it at the Hoosier Dome. Oh, it was awesome. Half red, half blue, Calbert Cheney, Damon Bailey for Indiana,
Starting point is 00:04:42 Jamal Mashburn, Travis Ford for UK. It was awesome. Those games were incredible. I wanted to get back to that. But, you know, Indiana's not been here. I heard Chris Labar say since 2010. Long drought, not having the pajama wearing Hoosiers here. got my pajamas on. Did you know what I do have your pajama pants on but appreciate you coming in
Starting point is 00:05:00 again Ryan called out of the bullpen. Uh, you had to make some, you know, some changes again. We're still juggling some chairs, playing musical chairs with them and everything. So, but look, you know, not a lot of folks were there tonight. If you saw the pictures, Ruppering was not crowded. I think it's just again, the apathy that's growing over this team and what they've seen the last couple weeks with these big time games. This is not a big time game, but yet they played pretty well. You heard Pope say after the, after the game, they didn't play great. defensively, but they did a lot of things offensively he was happy with.
Starting point is 00:05:31 I mean, go ahead. You want to say something? Oh, just that Pope was pissed at halftime. His halftime interview, it was just all about the defensive breakdowns that they had. But Ryan, you've got to think they sent some messages tonight, right? The whole thing with Brandon Garrison has to be encouraging, don't you think? Let's get to that.
Starting point is 00:05:47 That's the one to be the one main talking point. I think everybody's probably going to want to talk about. Brandon Garrison, turn the ball over, and while the ball was going to the other end of the floor, floor for an easy layup, he's loafing, jogging down the floor. After he's made a bad decision, turned it over in the lane, and then he loathes down the floor. Mark Pope, to his credit, he's been getting a lot of slack lately, called a timeout and got into Brandon Garrison.
Starting point is 00:06:13 As a matter of fact, if I had people say he used that whole timeout, I'd do nothing but chew on Brandon Garrison. I think that was sending a direct message. And how many minutes to Brandon Garrison play after that, Billy? I think zero. Zero. Zero. Zero minutes after that. Send a message. We're not going to accept. That's unacceptable. That stuff we saw against Gonzaggar loafing down the floor from all of some of those guys.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Not going to happen anymore. Are you not going to play? Now, there was also something kind of interesting. Cam Williams didn't come in until 12 minutes left in the game after it was like a 35 point game. He did not play it all the first half. Didn't play much in the second half. Nobody says anything, but I think that was a message sent also. because if you remember in the second half of the Gonzaga game,
Starting point is 00:06:59 Cam Williams was one of those guys that didn't play. He got in the doghouse, probably for effort, lack of effort, and he didn't play. So Trent Noah gets his start back in the starting lineup. What's he do? Boom. Three-pointer. A couple minutes later, boom. Another three-pointer.
Starting point is 00:07:15 He had three-threes in the first half. That's the Trent Noah we thought we were going to have all season. Maybe welcome back Trent Noah. Maybe he's finally over the injury. Maybe he's got his confidence back. And Billy, I thought he was one of the highlights of the game. Yeah, Pope said afterwards, Trent isn't a perfect player, but he gives everything he has. And I kind of feel like that's what Pope is prioritizing right now.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Maybe the guys that give effort compared to maybe just being more talented than somebody else. And he made a point. The first person he complimented tonight was Colin Chandler. And why? Because he had eight assists. He also had seven points and five rebounds, but he had eight assists. I think this last couple of days, they've spent nothing but team work do it for your teammate look for your teammate help your brother and i think
Starting point is 00:08:06 chanelner took that to heart and pope made a point as soon as he came out the night to talk about that well after the game several players made it a point to say that there weren't any off-the-floor issues trent noah jasper johnson and ottega oway addressing that directly so that message is probably coming across loud and clear right now pope also had another concerning Well, Ryan, tell me what you think about this. He said, we don't know how to compete yet, which is terrifying. Yeah, here we are. We're what?
Starting point is 00:08:34 We're 10 games into the season, and he's saying they don't know how to compete yet. That's a little alarm bells a little bit right there, I think. But what about our three Kentucky guys tonight? We already mentioned about Trent Noah, 11.6 rebounds. Malachi Marino, 14 points, seven rebounds. And how about Jasper? Yeah. 22 points in only 19 minutes.
Starting point is 00:08:55 perfect from the foul line, hit his three-point shot, did the job running the point. He, I think, earned some confidence points from Coach Pope running the point. That allows Denzel Aberdeen to move over to the two where he's more comfortable anyway. I think they would like for Jasper to be the number two point guard. I just think that would be a better compliment to everybody else if they can make him the point guard guy.
Starting point is 00:09:21 But he had an awesome game tonight. And he was very, you know, very, what I'm looking for. In the post-game interview with Jack, he was very mature and the stuff he was saying, I thought, with Jack. And I thought, obviously, his career high, I think it's just a glimpse of what that kid can become. Yeah, I got to see him do it against better competition
Starting point is 00:09:42 before I feel more comfortable with him. But Goose hit on this a lot in the radio broadcast talking about creating habits. You know, this is a game to build some momentum and just see the ball go through the basket. But if you do it during the games versus North Carolina Central, then it won't be you just trying to start something new in a game that actually does matter. So this was an important game, but takeaways from it based on guys' performance, besides Zach Tao, you know, I'm not really sure.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Zach Tao, Drew called it. Again. On the pregame show last week, he called the Walker Horn Bucket, the Walker Horn 3. Today on the pregame show, he called the Zach Tal three. Zach, Tao, Madisonville. Drew is your hero. Well, you're Drew's hero. Great call by Drew, though, don't you think?
Starting point is 00:10:30 Oh, yeah. Yeah, he's, you probably would have won a little money on Draft Kings if you would have made that bet tonight if that was ever listed. But, you know, the takeaway tonight will probably be the Brandon Garrison stuff, don't you think? That's going to be the big talking point because I think, one, it's going to send the message to everybody else. We all saw it. The TV cameras picked it up. As soon as they called that timeout, Pope went and got into him, got into it. to his face really with him. Go sit down.
Starting point is 00:10:54 And then he spent the whole TV timeout chewing on him. Needed to be done. Because what we saw against Gonzaga was unacceptable. No heart, gutless performance. He wasn't the only one against Gonzaga, but he's the only one that did it tonight, and he said he's butted on the bench. And I guess we need to say a big welcome back to Otega Oway.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Welcome back, Otega. Where are you been? We missed you. I mean, the dude's driving in the basket, hitting threes, playing great defense. had seven rebounds. That's why he was preseasoned conference of the year. Yeah, it was just North Carolina Central, but it was good to see glimpses of the old O-WA again coming back. Didn't you think so?
Starting point is 00:11:33 Yeah, yeah, absolutely right. That guy has to be playing like that against all the teams for Kentucky to have a chance this year. So now's your turn, 859-280-2287, 859-2-80-cats, call and talk to Billy. He's here with me tonight as Kentucky wins by 36. points. 103.67. Next up, those good for nothing, stinking, canvors, tobacco, chewing, Indiana, Hoosiers. They're killing Penn State tonight. They're up like by 30.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Are they? So they're going to be like eight and two coming into the game. Yeah, they were up by 30 last time I had a check on it. You'll get a score update before we go to the break. What is it? I don't know. Oh, there it is right there. No, that's Ohio, Ohio State. You went past the Penn State game. Oh, I thought we were talking about IU. Yeah, they're playing Penn State right there. We've got two IU games on right now. 81 to 30 something. Is that what that said? It kind of went to a replay right as we went to it.
Starting point is 00:12:28 So Indiana will come in and ride a big win just like Kentucky from the big win. Oh, look, there's Lamar Wilkerson. 81 to 34. Oh, my God. Almost 50 points. All right, well, take a break. Come back.
Starting point is 00:12:37 859, 280, 280, 2287. Ryan and Billy on the local total leader's KSR postgame show. Welcome back. Local Total Leader's KSR postgame show. Ryan and Billy are here tonight. Matt, still dealing with his fans. family issues with his father, so keep him, keep layering your prayers. I do want to also say that there was an awful incident on the campus of Kentucky State
Starting point is 00:12:57 University this afternoon where there was a shooting. One person was killed. One, the last I saw was in critical condition. They do have the suspect in custody from the shootings, but the campus was on lockdown for quite a while. Kind of hitting close to home when it hits Kentucky State just right down the road in Frankfurt. So keep those victims in your prayers as well. 280-2287. Who we got, Billy? Who's our first call? Let's lead off with Chris.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Chris, go ahead, Chris. Hey, Ryan. I kind of feel like Frank Pope showed up to coach tonight, and I'm all for it. You know, I don't mind calling him Frank Pope. He did kind of show a little temper, got a little fire in his belly, and I think that's what this team need, don't you? Yeah, we need a lot of that moving forward. Well, I appreciate it, Chris. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:42 It was kind of good to see a little spark from Pope. if nothing else, just how he handled that situation with Brandon Garrison. And then the halftime interview, you could tell. Here, they were up by 20 points, and he was not a happy camper. Well, it was kind of a close game for the first 10 minutes or so. It was. And they turned it on. So, yeah, absolutely how your coach should be handling a game versus UNC Central, right?
Starting point is 00:14:06 And, you know, he was so upset with the defense, but yet one of the things he bragged on about Totega O way was not his 21 points, not his seven rebounds, but his deep. defense on their star player. He held him to like one of ten shooting, I think, is in the first half, and he credited Otega for doing that. Yeah, big night for Otega to get on the right track again, hopefully. Who's next?
Starting point is 00:14:29 Skyler. Skyler. Go ahead, Skyler. Ryan, Billy, great job on the postgame show with Gonzaga. Yeah, he did. Cudos to Billy for that. Billy did a good job that night. Thank you. Appreciate it. Yeah, you did. You did.
Starting point is 00:14:43 I didn't watch the game, but I'm listening to you guys talk about the game to watch the post-game interview, heard about some of the clips that happened. And my gut feeling is, of course, Mark Pope shows passion when we're playing in C. Central. Of course, he chews out Brandon Garrison, the guy that everybody in our fan base has been picking on this whole season. Of course, it, again, to me, feels performative. And I don't know if that's true or not. I feel like he's trying, he's grasping for straws, and he's playing to the fan base a little bit.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I'm not calling him an authentic. I just think he is lost. And need some help finding his way. I'll hang up and listen. All right, Skylar, I'm going to disagree with Skyer. Skyler, I think that was genuine tonight. I think they just decided after that Gonzaga bullied him around and beat him down so bad for such a gutless performance,
Starting point is 00:15:36 Pope and the rest of the coaches got together and decided, look, we are going to play with effort, we are going to play with energy, and if you don't, you ain't going to play. I really think it rubbed off on the guys that the coaches have now taken that attitude. And the thing is now they have to stay with it. If they see Otega loafing down the floor against Indiana like he did against Gonzaga, you got to get him out. You know, you got to be consistent with it now.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Don't you agree? Yeah, I guess hope has gone through the five stages of grief just like we all have, whether it be denial and then now anger, I guess, that we're seeing out. Yeah, so I guess we'll see what, whatever, the other ones I don't even know. Acceptance? What are the five stages of grief? Bargaining, depression, acceptance.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Those are the other three. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. So he's in the anger phase right now. Well, remember, he was as shocked as we were in these press conferences, not saying a word. Yeah. Now he's angry. Now he's angry. But he came out and talked to Tom Leach and the crowd.
Starting point is 00:16:37 So he was probably acceptance, I think, at that point. Well, you probably just fed up, right? Like, you only can do it so often until you. you've got to man up. That was your advice, right? Remember in the locker room after the good sack of game? Man up. Man up.
Starting point is 00:16:51 And nobody is going to really change their mind. I don't think completely about this team until they go out and beat Indiana on Saturday and then how they do against Rick Patino and St. John's the following Saturday. They can't get bullied around and thumped by those two teams. They've got to come out and win those games, not just for the fan base, but to keep that locker room engaged as well. Who's next? Let's go to Aaron
Starting point is 00:17:15 Aaron go ahead Aaron Hey guys prayers to Matt's dad Thank you Kentucky State today Yeah thank you So I mean we We hear about motivated Mark Stoves I think we need a motivated Mark Pope
Starting point is 00:17:31 I mean He's down on himself Like fans when we lose But like that's not what we need We need a motivated We got a prime example we've got to keep jasper johnson in the game it seems like if we leave him in the game it gets hot but lately before today he wasn't really getting minutes and he really didn't get that many
Starting point is 00:17:52 minutes tonight either we got to get him in the game all right i appreciate it you know i've been i've been on the the jasper johnson bandwagon from day one i've known jasper since he was a little kid uh he's super talented he's a i think he's a superstar in the making but i was getting some pushback for some people like man you got to quit praising julys you're Jasper Johnson. He was going through some learning mistakes and learning a learning curve about college basketball and step it up and maybe shooting the right, taking the shot at the right time. You know, he can get in the lane. The thing about him is a point guard. He can get in the lane and distribute the basketball, but sometimes he gets down there in no man's land and then
Starting point is 00:18:29 has to force up a bad shot. I think, like Jack even said tonight on the post game show, Jack Evans did, said, man, you're just, you're growing and you're learning each time out. And I think we saw a big step up today in the fact of him not just as a score but as a point guard tonight that's what i was most impressed with and cal was just worried about getting those freshmen to play well at the end of the season yeah right and so this is going to be a learning curve for him a learning process last year it was a ton of seniors on the roster with pope it's very different this year who's next billy let's go to connor connor go ahead connor hey hey also prayers and matt's dad and then the Kentucky State situation also.
Starting point is 00:19:10 With Pope, I don't believe it was performative because if anybody paid attention, Brandon Garrison had turned the ball over and then didn't get back to try to contest a shot, and then Pope immediately called a timeout and got into him. So I think that was authentic 100%. But I think that he has to do that a lot more. I mean, even last year, he had everybody saying that,
Starting point is 00:19:35 you know, he needed to get a little bit more. more angry and all that good stuff. I don't necessarily, you know, stay angry, but just to get into them more often. But hopefully we'll show up against Indiana because if it don't go good against Indiana, it's going to be a lot worse than it is. Yep. Appreciate it, Connor. Yeah, I agree with everything.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Connor said. You know, we talked about the Brandon Garrison incident. Pope immediately calls the timeout, immediately gets into him, spends the whole time out getting into him. That not just sends a message to Brandon Garrison. That sends a message to everybody else now. huddle. Look, we are not going to play like that anymore. You guys embarrassed me. You embarrassed yourselves. You embarrassed our fans against Gonzaga. That is not going to happen anymore.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Well, that needed to happen four games ago. It should have. So I'm glad it is it is finally happening. Maybe they had to hit rock bottom for to finally reach that point. But then, you know, Pope ended his press conference with Tom Lee tonight. Like, look, we are a really good basketball team. You're going to be really, really proud of this team. We are going to get it right and you're going to be very proud of what we're going to accomplish this year. And he believes that. I don't know if our fans believe that yet, but Pope
Starting point is 00:20:40 definitely believes that. Who's next? We'll take one more and take a break. Let's go to Kyle. Kyle. Go ahead, Kyle. Hey, Ryan. Just wanted to say, first of all, Matt, we're thinking about your buddy. We, at the state of Kentucky, we're all one big family. Yep. We all have
Starting point is 00:20:58 your back, brother, and everything at the school today, Kentucky stands together in Kentucky's strong. For sure. Ryan, this is you and I talking, right? There's nobody else listening. No, just you and me.
Starting point is 00:21:09 You can say whatever you want. It won't get out. Let me tell you one thing about being a Kentucky fan that drives me off the wall is that whenever we lost those games and don't get me wrong, it's been horrible. But we get down on the Mark Pope and we say, oh, he doesn't have answers. He doesn't know what he's doing. And we ask him to bring more energy and bring more fight and bring something else to this team that we haven't seen. And then tonight, he benches Brandon Garrison, and he goes out and he has this passion that we've been asking for.
Starting point is 00:21:42 And then the first two callers are calling saying, it's performative. I don't believe in it. None of us have ever been in that arena. And Mark Pope is – he knows what the pressure is at Kentucky, and I trust my coach. And so, I mean, I get it. I know we got to be Indiana. I know it's been terrible. But, I mean, come on, guys.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Last year we were praising them for taking us to the sweet. 18 with a group of nobody, let's give the guy a chance to do his job and to do it well because nobody cares as much as Mark Pope does about the Kentucky basketball team being great. And that's what frustrates me about this fan base. Let's get together and let's get behind our guy and let's do this thing, dude. There you go, Kyle. Great phone call. Outstanding phone call.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Appreciate it. You know, you're right. I think Cameron Mills said in the pregame show. Mark Pope did not forget how to coach. After doing what he did last year with that rag-tag group of guys he threw together last year, he did not forget how to coach going into this season. I think they had some chemistry issues on the court. I think they had some roster of things they had to figure out.
Starting point is 00:22:50 But I think maybe we're finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Well, he's starting to say the right things. Yes. You've got to show us, right? You've got to do it against the better teams. You've got to do it against Indiana Saturday. You can't get punked by Indiana on Saturday. or it's going to go south really fast.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Yeah, but it feels like the players were definitely more engaged tonight. I agree. We'll see if that can carry over. Got a couple open lines. Now, if you want to get on board, 859-280-2-87, that's 8-5-9-280 Cats. Call the local 30-leaders' KSR post-game show, Ryan and Billy.
Starting point is 00:23:20 We'll be right back after this. All right, Kentucky Wildcats get win number one this week, 103-67 over North Carolina Central, and the UK volleyball team hoping to get win number two on Thursday, where they play at 3.30 at Historic Memorial Coliseum against Cal Poly. The game will be televised. That's a tough
Starting point is 00:23:40 time. The crowd has been great, packing historic Memorial Colossamericals and the volleyball events. That's a tough time. 3.30 in the afternoon in the middle of the day on a Thursday, so if you can't make it, it is going to be televised. Yeah, did you see what Craig Skinner did? What did he do this time? Oh, you haven't seen. This is on the airplane? Yeah, went in the jet.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Every time he does something, he's a little bit higher, a little bit higher, a little bit higher, a little bit higher. He was on top of the bank building here on downtown here the other day. He's been on top of a desk. Yeah, he went on top of the table at the press conference the other day. So now he's up in an airplane. So what happens if they keep winning? Rocket ship.
Starting point is 00:24:17 We got to put them in space. Space shuttle? Yeah. That's all that working. You said you wanted me to play a clip. I got it up here for you. Okay. This is what was said after the game in the locker room.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Some of the players were specifically asked about locker room issues, chemistry issues, off-the-court issues. You got Otega? Yeah. Okay, so this is Otega's answer to the question about off-the-court issues with this team. We're figuring that part out, he said the off-the-court stuff. He said that's nonsense. It ain't no off-the-court stuff.
Starting point is 00:24:49 It's all on the court. Obviously, people are going to expect a spectate, but it's all on the court. We're the closest group. We all hang out. We all good. Like, it ain't nothing off the court. Can we talk about that? That was Dylan Ballard, who was asking that question.
Starting point is 00:25:08 And, you know, all the rumors about locker room issues, off the court issues, seem to involve Otega in some way, shape, or form. He's shooting it down. Billy, you just heard that for the first time? What do you think? What you expect a player to say? Yeah. When I asked if there are issues.
Starting point is 00:25:28 What's he going to say in front of all the reporters? Yeah. we had a big fight the other day in the locker room. Yeah, exactly. Got a west, got some boxing gloves on, and we just fought for three hours. All our issues are on the court, not off the court,
Starting point is 00:25:41 which is true. So do you believe him, though? I mean, is there petty squabbles, probably? Was there a fight in the locker room? I don't know. But, I mean, there was something that happened before the Louisville game. We may never find out what that was.
Starting point is 00:25:57 I'm convinced something happened before the Louisville game. or Mark Pope would not have brought it up. Why would you bring it up if nothing happened? Why would you say we had an incident for the game? If nothing happened. Of course something happened. You're right. It may be the end of the season before we find out what it was.
Starting point is 00:26:12 Team turmoil, the fight on their plane, we never knew what it really was about until maybe a year or two later. Find out the details of the fight on the airplane. So that's on Dylan Ballard Twitter. Jeff Drummond, I think, has had some other sound bites on his Twitter feed about other players ask about off-the-court chemistry. issues or fights in the locker room, whatever. Oh, I'm sure they've heard the noise.
Starting point is 00:26:33 So they're ready to answer these questions tonight. All right, 859, 2802-287. Who we got next, Billy? Darlene. Darlene. Go ahead, Darlene. Hey, guys. This is all about Mark Pope. I just want him to know that,
Starting point is 00:26:49 God, I support this man with everything in me. The booze the other night, it hurt my soul deep. And all I want to say is Mark Pope, I know he helped us win a championship. I'm behind this guy 100%. I love you guys. Thank you for your support. Hold on, Darlene.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Darlene, don't you want to give a shout out to your Harlan guy tonight? Oh, my God. You are so right. I mean, yeah, I'm so proud of Trent Noah. 11 points tonight. I think maybe six rebounds or eight rebounds, but oh, my God, you got that right. Thank you for letting me say that.
Starting point is 00:27:26 There you go. Trent Noah fan club at Harlan. Kentucky. He had no doubt about it. Trent played well, man. Earned the right to get back in the starting lineup. He got a lot of rebounds. I think all of 11 of these points, I think we're on the first half.
Starting point is 00:27:39 I'm not mistaken. Well, he hit the first three, I believe, and then had an offensive rebound, and then Oway hit a three very early in the game. So he was playing well. You know, Mark Pope, it wasn't a tweak. It was a shift, he called it. He did. He called it a shift.
Starting point is 00:27:53 So Cal Perry had the tweak. Mark has the shift. You know, Yelovich also hit a three tonight. Guess who didn't hit a three? Who? Cam Williams. I don't know what's going on with that guy. Like I said, he didn't even play to late in the game when the game was already over,
Starting point is 00:28:06 but he still had some wide open looks, never misses in practice, couldn't buy one again tonight. Who's next caller? Ryan. Ryan. Ryan, go ahead, Ryan. Hey, Ryan and Billy. After the first two callers, I had a call in.
Starting point is 00:28:21 I hardly ever calling on the post-game show. But we sit about six rows up behind the bench, and during the time out when Pope called it after Brandon Garrison was loafing up the floor, when Pope got in the huddle, he snapped his whiteboard over his knee, and a piece flew up and hit Colin Chandler square in the forehead. Wow. Well, I want to see that kind of... That's the side of the poll.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Yeah. I've never seen, and I loved it. I absolutely loved it. Appreciate it, Ryan. Thanks for the phone call. Yeah. The guy that called in earlier, was it Skyler, who said, that he thought it was all an act.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Like you're seeing a performance. I don't buy that. I think that's legit. I think Mark Pope was disgusted by what he saw Friday night in Nashville against Gonzaga, and he's not going to let that happen again. I saw a coach here in Lexington act for quite a number of years, Ryan. I feel like everything Mark Pope does is genuine,
Starting point is 00:29:21 and that's even why we've seen him really be low after some of these losses, right? So I think he's got a tough time acting when he needs. to act a little bit more. After that first loss against Louisville, he could hardly talk to Tom Leach on the post-game news conference. Couldn't he even hardly talk to him.
Starting point is 00:29:36 He's gotten a little better at that, but he still takes it hard because I think he loves this school and this team so much. He wants him to succeed. And he's trying to get his players to understand that as well. Yeah. Who's next?
Starting point is 00:29:46 Here you got next, Billy. John. John. Go ahead, John. Hey, first off, prayers to bat and his family in Kentucky State. That's the first thing, right? Right. Thank you, John.
Starting point is 00:29:59 I had two questions here, guys. One is just, do you guys expect to see Diabate against Indiana? That's my first question. Yes. Well, the Big Blue United group that saw practice yesterday said that Diabati kind of told them that he is expecting to be back. He was expecting to be back on Saturday. whether the doctor's clearing him or Pope's going to play him, but Diabate told the crowd there that he was expected back for Saturday against Indiana.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Okay. So that hopefully if he does play, they'll let him play him play, you know, maybe he can play his minutes and then Williams too. The other question I did have, or not William, sorry, guys,
Starting point is 00:30:44 Lowe, Jalen Lowe, but the other question I did have was, and I know this guy, he's raw, he's young, he's a four-star guy, and they haven't played him to my knowledge,
Starting point is 00:30:54 and I know they were trying to sit him and red shirt him or whatever. But Braden Hawthorne, I don't get why we're searching. And like you guys say, you know, some of us said we're, you know, grasping for straws searching for something and answer. And you've got guys, I'm not going to try to pick on like Cam Williams or something like that, but you just mentioned him, you know, at 13 minutes and he played late. He hasn't been hitting a lot.
Starting point is 00:31:15 So why can't we get Braden Hawthorne out there? The dude has got talent. He can play ball and I know he's young. But why not give him a shot? Well, I appreciate it, John. But yeah, I think the plan is definitely to redshirt him and kind of him be included in next year's recruiting class. Like you've almost got a head start on next year's recruiting class
Starting point is 00:31:35 when you add him to the mix. I think that's that's the plan. They just want him to get bigger, stronger. You've seen the video of him. I mean, he's rail thin. He's very little. He's got little bitty calves and ankles. They want to get it bigger, stronger, faster.
Starting point is 00:31:48 And I think I think John's right, though. I think he could be a good player someday here. Yeah, hopefully. I'm not sure how many kids are going to stay at a university for five years, including their red shirt anymore, right? That's true. Yeah, with the NIL money, that deal. There'll probably be people call, come after him a little bit,
Starting point is 00:32:06 but when he got any sign, I remember his dad did some interview said he wanted to be a Kentucky Wildcatty's whole life. He grew up a big Kentucky fan, and this is where he wants to be, so hopefully he'll develop him to be a great player. And there's a learning curve out of high school, right? We're seeing that with Jasper Johnson a little bit, so I imagine he's going through some of that too. You know, Jasper and Malachi both had to kind of learn the college game.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Now Malachi kind of picked it up a little quicker than Jasper did. But Jasper's just got, man, he's just a scorer, man. He can just get the ball in the basket for you. And that's if he can get the decision making down as being a backup point guard, he's going to get some minutes. They're going to play. Who we got next? Syndicate.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Speaking of Jasper Johnson, this is syndicate. Syndicate done. Jasper Johnson's biggest fan. Well, how much owe you? I'm going to give you some brisket. I'm going to bring you some of an insurance. You keep saying you're going to give me some brisket, and I have yet to have some of your famous brisket.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I brought some over. Oh, I go, we didn't get any. Crutch took it all. We didn't get any. Crutch. Yeah, you know, but insurance in here cooking up the mac and cheese. What I was going to tell you guys about tonight is that sometimes things go on in the locker room, and we got a taken care of the cats are doing right now.
Starting point is 00:33:38 They're getting that taken care of. And one thing I want to say about, remember like, Team Wolf, when he's coming together as a team, we just need to get behind them, get behind the coaches, supporting the team, when to lose, but I think most of all what we need is we need to. Good call, Senake. Appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Yeah, a lot of people probably don't know that Jasper Johnson's nickname is bruh. He grew up. Everybody knew him as bruh. Probably very few of his friends knew he's real name because he just went by bruh. And when he became bruh, he becomes a badass on the court. Saw a little bit of that tonight.
Starting point is 00:34:36 I wish I could find that one, Some guy sent me a tweet after maybe it was the loss to North Carolina. Like Ryan, you know, Jasper Johnson is not who you say he is. He's not going to be that type of guy. I wish that guy would tweet me back tonight after he saw what Jasper did tonight. Did you have an alter ego or a nickname when you were stealing bases in college? I think they just called me stud. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:59 I think that probably they called me that my whole life stud. Feed the studs. Feed the stud. Yeah. Yeah. I saw a picture of Will Stein with stud finders. in his office. Oh, he did.
Starting point is 00:35:11 You know, my nickname was Chet. All of Kentucky Wesleyan knows me is Chet. Why? Because there was a baseball player when I was playing at Wesleyan, a professional his name was Chet Lemon. So when I got to campus, nobody knew my name. Oh, Lim, that's a Lennon, that's Chet. I swear, I used to get mail from Kentucky Wesleyan,
Starting point is 00:35:29 official mail addressed to Chet Lemon. And it lives on through a parody. There we go. All right, let's get another call. We've got a break. Who we got? I haven't been able to talk to this person. I think it's Greg.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Greg? Is this Greg? Yes, UK Greg. Hey, Chet Lemon is I'm proud to be on the Chet Lemon post-Camp show. What up, UK, Greg? Good to talk to you. So a couple of things. So, you know, we talk about how the offense was built around low.
Starting point is 00:35:57 I think what's more important than that is O.A. being the leader. We need O. O.A. to be that leader in the locker room. and I think he stepped up tonight, and I hope to see that continue. And the last thing I want to say is my son Payton is a huge, huge Zach Tal fan. So he's doing cart, he's doing cartwell tonight. Absolutely going. Thank you, Greg.
Starting point is 00:36:22 UK, great. We appreciate it. Yeah, Zach Tal, if you heard Mark Pope tell the story afterward, he's trying to, he's past the LSAT. He's going to law school. He's trying to, he's applying at various law schools now, but he wants to go to UK. So Pope put the plea out there. If anybody can help Zach get into the UK law school, give him a shout. Well, I mean, we've had, like we mentioned, the Walker Horn shot that Drew called,
Starting point is 00:36:46 and now the Zach Tao one that he called again. I like these bench players getting their moments. Indiana is destroying Penn State by 34 points. And if I'm not mistaken, Lamar Wilkerson, they just put a stat up. I believe he has 45 points tonight. That's the kid that Kentucky was trying to get. I commented on the show that he had committed to Kentucky, and then later that day he changed and committed to Indiana
Starting point is 00:37:14 because Indiana hired one of his coaches to also join the staff in Indiana, kind of a package deal. How good would you want that kid at 45 points a night? Man, I would have loved that. 10-3-pointers. You can't be doing that, though. You can't just be, you can't let the kid say, you've got to hire my cousin,
Starting point is 00:37:31 or I won't go to your school or stuff like that. I think that's what happened. They had plenty of money. Yeah. All right. We'll take our final break. Come back, our final segment. Got a couple phone lines open again.
Starting point is 00:37:41 859-280-2-287. 859-280 Cats. Ryan and Billy on the local total leaders, KSR Post-Game Show. Final segment, Local Total Leader's KSR post-game show, Ryan and Billy. Cats a big win tonight over North Carolina, Central, 103-67. Indiana, our next appointment on Saturday, is beating Penn State 113 to 68 and Lamar Wilkerson does in fact have
Starting point is 00:38:05 44 points and Billy he did it because he hit 10 3-pointers broke the record. He's 10 of 15 from 3 somebody's got to lock that guy up. Put Otega on him. Otega stopped the guy tonight. Put O'Ma-Wilkerson. They had like 100 points with five minutes left in this game. They did. Are you worried?
Starting point is 00:38:26 You got to take care of business. You can't let in those canvas converse wearing, stinking, tobacco chewing, hillbilly overall wearing Indiana Hoosiers come in here and punky on your home court. I grew up in Indiana by the way. I can say that. Oh, we know. I am a hillbilly.
Starting point is 00:38:42 We know. Well, no, I wouldn't go that far. Jeff Drummond has tweeted out some more sound from the post game when the guys were asked about off-the-court issues. He's got a good sound bite with Trent Noah. We want to play now. So this is on Jeff Drummond's Twitter. We have a long season ahead. We're super talented. We're super close and kind of just just still just still working the gears and we'll figure things out.
Starting point is 00:39:04 I mean, tonight was a good step and then we got another big one on Saturday. Trent, you said we're super close. I don't know how much of the noise you hear, especially coming off a bad loss like Friday, but there's speculation out there that this team is not close and there's some kind of problem behind the scenes. Can you kind of, can you dismiss that that? I haven't seen that personally, but that isn't. That is not true.
Starting point is 00:39:30 I mean, I feel like we're kind of right now off these losses. It's kind of bringing us closer together. I mean, we're such a, like, it's so cliche to say every team wants to be a tight-knit group, but I really do think that we are. I mean, we really do have our backs. I mean, we're continuing to learn to trust and play with each other on the court. But off the court, I mean, these are my best friends. I mean, they would say the same thing about me.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Well, there you go. Trent Noah addressing the question about off-the-court issues, chemistry issues, fights in the locker room, girlfriend rumors, all the stuff that's been going around in the last couple weeks or so. You buying it, Billy? Buying stock in it? I'm just glad he played better. He did.
Starting point is 00:40:10 That's a guy that wasn't getting a ton of minutes. They put him in the starting lineup. He ended up scoring 11 points. He also had six rebounds, four of eight from the field, plus 21 in 26 minutes. And Trent Noah is our Johnny Rocker, personal injury attorney, moneymaker of the game tonight, right? Nice transition.
Starting point is 00:40:27 injured, get small town compassion with big city results. When you call the rocker at 270321-4429, my question to you is who starts against Indiana at the four? I think you've got to stick with Trent, right? I mean, even if DeBate is going to try to play, you can't start him. Cam Williams is still trying to hit a three-pointer. Yelovich played better. He finally hit a three, but Trent's earned it. They just played with a little more energy, I think, when he was on the court.
Starting point is 00:40:55 That's just something that was kind of lacking when he was hurting out. He stepped on the court tonight, and there just seemed to be a little more pop. You know what I mean? Yeah, and back to Pope's comments, Trent isn't a perfect player, but he gives everything he has. And so, you know, if Moe's going to come off the bench, coming back from that injury, you probably do start him at the floor. I'll just be curious to see how much Jalen Lowe we see in that Indiana game. You know, we did have a caller on the pregame show, so he wanted to see Chandler and Trent on the floor at the same time. I think because that'll help spread the defense out a little bit more.
Starting point is 00:41:27 They started, they played a lot together tonight, those two guys. They also, I think we had a caller on the morning show say that Pope needed to bench somebody after, you know, making, you know, not run into back from the court. And we saw exactly that with Brandon Garris. Yep. All right, 859-2-287. Our final segment, Billy's got some calls lined up. So who we got, Billy? Yeah, we got five left.
Starting point is 00:41:48 We'll start with Mack. Mack. Go ahead, Mac. Hey, a long-time. listener first time caller appreciate that uh it's nice talking yeah it's nice talking to you ryan and billy um you know it's kind of funny for me is that i interviewed mad jones back in 2010 when i was a freshman at uk yeah yeah i interviewed him for uh uh law law class but uh ended up going into medicine so currently an orthopedic surgeon but uh i just want to say that the you know
Starting point is 00:42:20 I think that this team, I think we need to stick behind them. I think we all have to remember, I know the NIL changed things with money and everything. But, you know, yes, they played some bad games. There's been some bad effort on the floor. But, you know, as fans, I think the biggest thing is to stay supportive of the team. And, you know, I think benching of Baran and Garrison in the second half, this is only the third game I've been able to watch this year was a good thing. But I just think that we've got to continue.
Starting point is 00:42:50 to support this team and, you know, stay behind the players because they hear that outside noise and that only can affect these kids when they're, you remember what it was like to being 18 to 22 years old. But I think that this team still, it's still early in the season. I, you know, I always keep the faith, kept the faith in the football team, will always will keep the faith of them. But as long as we stay behind this team, I think we get quaintance back, we get low back, and we get Cam Williams to kind of make a few shots here and there and get this team kind of rolling. I think we have a good future ahead of us. And I think my reason for the call is just for the fan base to kind of keep supporting the team.
Starting point is 00:43:32 And don't get so negative because we've got to remember these are just college kids. And it's way more to life than college basketball, college football. But I think this team will hold together. And if it doesn't, you know, that's just that's what happens. Okay. Just like. Yep. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Appreciate it, Mac. appreciate the phone call. You know, he's, he's right. After that Gonzaga game, fans were not just running to the exit door. They were running like Sidney McLaughlin away from the fan-based period. They couldn't get away from UK fast enough. Well done. Thank you very much. How about Mac? Humble brag. I was going to go to law school, but I decided to be a surgeon. Tough, tough, tough life. What was your two choices? radio host or manual labor Mine was high school baseball and basketball coach
Starting point is 00:44:22 or low beat reporter at Evansville, Indiana. These hands are way too soft to be doing anything outside, so we're glad it worked out. Who's our next caller? J-dub. J-dub. Go ahead, J-dub. Chet, how are you doing, bud? Oh, if you call me Chet, you're a Wesleyan guy.
Starting point is 00:44:43 I know, I'm just messing with you. with you, man. Oh, okay. The big thing was Noah. I love having Noah in that starting lineup, man. Yeah, I appreciate, J.W. Like I said earlier, he provided a lot of pep, a lot of energy. I like the way they kind of came out.
Starting point is 00:44:59 But they did, like Bill, you said earlier, they did kind of struggle coming out of the gate a little bit. They couldn't kind of find anything defensively to keep North Carolina Central out of the lane. Yeah. And when they're ranked 320 out of 350 in the Kempom, That's concerning, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:16 But how many times have we seen somebody come into Rupp and, you know, shoot pretty well? That wasn't really it. It was just defensive breakdowns. Yeah, their main player was having trouble, but it was that, I think his name was Harvey, their big guy inside. It was kind of, kind of scored a bunch there early on. Who's our next caller? Who's our next caller? Who we got? Let's go to JLW.
Starting point is 00:45:37 JLW. Okay, I got a question, because I'm not the smartest person in the world, but what do you got to do to burn your red shirt. My question is, why don't you play the part of kid and see what we got? I mean, I don't know if he's any good, if he's not any good, but I think I read where you got like maybe five games before you burn your red shirt. So why don't we see what we got with him? All right.
Starting point is 00:46:04 I mean, I mean, okay, I'm sorry, go ahead. Go ahead. Well, there is, there is a limit. I don't know for sure what it is for basketball. For football, you can play in four games and still maintain your red shirt. I don't think that exists in basketball. I don't think it does either in basketball. I think one minute and you're done with your red shirt, but I'll try to double check.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Okay, okay, I apologize. I didn't know that to sure, but when Quaintiff comes back, I'm thinking about maybe, we're sure if we go play Quaintiff's at the Power Ports, play Marino at the 5. But who would go play at the 3? I know it's not going to be Cam, Williams. No. And I think something, I got one more thing. I get off your guy.
Starting point is 00:46:43 I think we need to play Johnson, man, and just roll with him and see what we got. But what I'm saying, Quaintiff at the 4, Marino at the 5, this row. We'll be a 5. I hope he comes back from St. John's game. I wish you'd be coming back for the Indian game. But we had definitely got the roll with the Marino at 5 and Quatinez as 4. What do you guys think? Thank you for taking my call.
Starting point is 00:47:11 All right, JLW. Caden Quauntins is a five. He is a man child. He is a five. He's not a four. So I think Marino and Jaden Quaitens will be sub, you know, playing, switching back and forth. I think Brandon Garrison is going to fall further down the bench once Jaden Quaitens becomes healthy. Mark Pope's offense needs a stretch for. Yeah. And it's what they don't really have this year. I think they thought they had it with Cam Williams or even Yelovich. I think they thought that could be that Angele Aminor guy is staying in a corner and just pop threes when you needed one. Yeah, so I mean, I'm kind of looking at Trent Noah or Cam Williams, one of those two guys to rise to the occasion.
Starting point is 00:47:48 I think always at the three, right? That's where he's been playing. No doubt. Aberdeen at the two. Yep. Jalen Lowe at the one. Yeah, and then Jaspur backing him up. Jasper.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Well, Colin Chandler. He's got to be on the floor. I mean, where we... You know, there was a lineup tonight. We benching Aberdeen? Where Yelovich was playing the five. They had Yelovich. I think it was when Lowe was out there.
Starting point is 00:48:10 Lowe, Jasper, O'A, and Chandler, and Yellovich. I think that was the lineup. It's like four guards in Yelovich and the inside. So I believe for a redshirt, you cannot play in an official game to have a redshirt, but a medical redshirt, you can play in 30% of your team's games. You have to play in less than 30%. Yeah. And then you can still get a medical redshirt.
Starting point is 00:48:30 So, you know, Reese Potter's value right now is he's been beaten on Jaden Quaitens in practice. Those two guys are battling in practice. That's his main purpose is to help get Jaden Quatins ready to play. Braden Hawthorne, he's going to redshirt, he's going to get bigger, better, stronger, faster, and get ready to be in next year's recruiting class. Let those guys mature. Reese Potter can play. I mean, we saw him play in, it was a Youngstown they played?
Starting point is 00:48:54 Was it Miami of Ohio or where did he play? But they played at Youngstown. We went there and watched a game on our trip up through the north. We went to watch Kentucky play in Philadelphia last year. So you saw him play there? Yeah, we saw him play in high school. I've seen him play for since he was in middle school. since he grew up at Lexington Catholic.
Starting point is 00:49:11 All right, who's the next player? Let's go to, it was Miami of Ohio, by the way. That's what I thought. Butler. Butler. Two more. Go ahead, Butler. Hey, how's it going, fellas?
Starting point is 00:49:23 First of all, taking my call, Billy's second ball prayer or stuff. I wasn't able to hear the first part of the show because I was calling the up time, you know, so can't hear it when you're calling on your phone. But is anybody else on my side that Jasper Johnson just needs to Set on the bench for a minute. I mean, he just comes down and he just jacks up shots without even passing it. You know, drive to the basket without even no remorse. I mean, is it just me or is it driving anybody else?
Starting point is 00:50:03 No. Butler, you obviously didn't hear the first part of the show. We were bragging on Jasper Johnson. Number one fan here, Butler, Ryan Levin. I'm president of the Jasper Johnson fan club, Butler, so appreciate the phone call. He's your backup point. point guard. He's a better point guard than Colin Chandler. He's a better point guard than Denzo Aberdeen. He can get in the lane. He can throw, he was like second on these. I think he's,
Starting point is 00:50:25 look this up, Billy. I believe he's second on the team and assist right now behind Aberdeen. I think Aberdeen's one. I think Jasper's number two. And he's doing it in limited minutes. I think he's had some struggles. He's forced up a couple bad shots. But you know what? So is everybody else in this basketball team. Jasper is going to be a guy that's going to be a superstar someday. Let him grow. Superstar. Let him grow. Okay. Aberdeen leads the team at 35 assists.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Colin Chandler comes in at 30. Jasper is a close third with 28. Okay. I thought Jasper was saying. Chandler probably passed him tonight because Chandler had eight assists tonight. If it probably updated it's what it was. All right. Is this our last caller?
Starting point is 00:51:08 Is our last caller? It got to be a good one. Who is it? Michael. Michael. Got to be a good one, Michael. Evening gentlemen, I hope you all are having a great night. All right. I hope Trent Noah has taken some classes in botany because he's getting a lot of flowers tonight, and I'm about to add on to that. Okay, go for it. That's what I want to see from him a lot more.
Starting point is 00:51:28 All right? That's what I want to see from him a lot more. When he just catches it and shoots it without thinking, I feel like he's just thinking too much when he gets the ball sometimes, and it'll lead to him just either passing up a shot he should take or just, you know, waiting too long. and missing the shot. So yeah, that's all I wanted to say. Great game from him tonight.
Starting point is 00:51:48 Hope to see more of that. Y'all have a great night. Appreciate it, Michael. I think he was a big reason why Kentucky came out with a lot of energy. I said that earlier. A lot of heart was because Trent Noah plays. Having him in the starting lineup from the opening tip, I think the other guys just kind of fed off that a little bit.
Starting point is 00:52:05 And then when you get, like I said, all three Kentucky boys played well tonight. Malachi, Jasper and Trent Noah, all three of them played well tonight. They helped to, well, they got what? They got 36. They got 47 points, 47 of the 103 points with the three Kentucky guys. And these are the games for them to do that. Yep, absolutely. You gain some momentum and then hopefully can carry that over to the team that just broke their record for threes in a game and scored 100 points with five minutes left against Penn State. I got this is totally off topic, but I got to ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:52:32 Yeah. They announced the three Heisman Trophy finalists. Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Lowe, Ohio State quarterback Justin Sane, IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza, and Vandy quarterback Diego Pavia. Yeah? I'm voting for Pavia. He did more. He took Vanderbilt to a 10-and-2 season.
Starting point is 00:52:53 He was must-watch football. If I'm voting, I'm voting Diego Pavia. Yeah, but his mom's really hot. Indiana's number one in the country. That's true. Mendoza's been a hell of a player. How does Mendoza's mother look? They just beat Ohio State.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Yoga girls probably listen right now. The one stuff with the radio. Yeah, well, we'll get one more game of Javier, I guess, is bowl game. His bowl game, yeah. I wonder if his mom will be at the Heisman Trophy ceremony. No.
Starting point is 00:53:19 They probably won't show her as much, but she probably would be. She'll probably get more airtime than he will. All right, we appreciate everybody who called in the night. I had some good calls. You know, Kentucky, a winner 103-67 over North Carolina, Central. Next up, the stinking, canvas converse, wearing tobacco farming, corn chucking, green bee picking, Indiana, Hoosiers.
Starting point is 00:53:42 Saturday at Rupp Arena for the first time since 2010. Load them up because it's got to be a must win for Kentucky. It is a must win. You have to win that game at home. I agree. Have to. Have to. Have to. All right. For Billy R Sports, this is Ryan Lemon. This has been the local Toyota Ditters KSR Postgame Show.
