The Giants have just closed out the Cowboys to finish a great first week of action. We are here in studio. I want to start by apologizing for the audio issues last week.

I was at a hotel in Bristol, Connecticut, Drew, where they said, you know, you click on these things, it'll go. You can get regular internet for free, or you can get deluxe internet for like $9.99. And I've always thought that was just fake. Because how can you have two different kinds of internet? Okay. I mean, you know what I mean? There's more bandwidth on the one you pay for. How do they know?

I don't know on the back end how it works. You could probably have more devices on the one that costs more money. I just needed one device. Okay. So I took the free one. Okay. And apparently the sound was not great. And I'm sorry about that.

I don't know if I'd paid $999 if it would have made a difference. Do you think it would have made a difference at the Doubledtree in Bristol if I had paid $999? It wouldn't hurt I mean it wouldn't be I'm probably going to be back there at some point So I might need to go Maybe we'll do it We'll do a test

We'll use the 999 Yeah I mean the ESPN's paying So we can just charge it to ESPN But I always thought that was fake I always thought because like You know it says if you want to stream Pay 999 but then I stream movies and stuff And it works

But I guess I guess there's something to it Yeah there was twice You asked me a question on our stream I had no idea what you said. So it wasn't working really. Yeah. Okay. It got better.

It did. But I think it turned a lot of people away in the first five or ten minutes. They said. And so I think maybe it wasn't the best episode in the world. But next time, I'm going to pay the $9.99. Just take $10 with you. Bring a penny back. They'll give me a penny back.

And if it's the same, then we know for the future. It's really kind of a definitive test. Yeah. In fact, head there now. Let's go and figure this out. Well, if anyone knows, you said double tree, that comes with a cookie, right? It does come with a cookie. Yeah.

And I ate the cookie. Here's the problem, though. You know how nowadays they have to put the calories. On everything, yeah. Do you like that? I mean, on the one hand, more information, that's good. On the other hand, it really depresses me. And it makes me eat not order things I want to eat.

See, I'm the opposite. When I'm at like Taco Bell, I'm like adding it like, hell, yeah, high score. Let's go. I don't have any shame. Oh, you're trying to get the most. Zero shame or regret. Okay, good. Well, it makes me feel like I'm like, you cannot have 1,600 calories for lunch.

Well, the double tree cookie, I've always taken it, eating it. Sometimes I wink at the person and give them to give me two. It's 440 calories, one of those cookies. One cookie? Man, they're good, though. They're really good. But now you've got to be careful when you go to the double tree, how many cook? Because now they put the calories on the,

little paper. I was at a wedding in June, stayed at a double tree. I'm not going to say where. Might have been in Evansville, Indiana. Didn't give me a cookie. Oh, they didn't ruin my entire experience. I'm at the wedding and I can't even look at the bride and groom because I'm just hurt from my lobby experience that morning. Well, I wouldn't have given them $999. No. They owe me $999. Yeah. No, that is a great thing about Double Tree. It also, as I get older, I've realized my hotel tolerance is getting worse, meaning like, I'm becoming not what I want to be. I used to be like you could, you and I used to travel. We'd stay a La Quinta, like everywhere.

I remember the first time I went to ESPN in 2018, they put me up in that double tree, and I was like, oh, this is living. You know what I mean? Like, this is how the other half live. Are you splurgeon now for the hotel? Well, now when I go to the double tree, well, I mean, it's Bristol Connect. There is no other hotel. Like, the double tree is it.

It's that a red roof. Don't get the cookies there. But now when I go to that same double tree that eight years ago, I remember walking around going, all right, here we go. Now I'm like, ooh. It's aged a little bit. Well, I don't know if it's aged or if I've just gotten snooty. It's probably a little bit of both. They're now telling me if I want better hotels.

I have to stay in West Hartford because that's where the nice. That's where the nice people are, Billy. That's where the big time thing. You'll make it one day to West Hartford. One of these days. I'm going to convince him to let me stay in West Hartford. And then I'll shut up about the double tree. There is something about being at that double tree and thinking like, think of all the people who've stayed here over the years.

Because it is the official where you stay if it is. Like, think of all the people over the years who've stayed there. I mean, not just athletes, TV people. Like, what the walls of that double tree? I bet you. I'm going to make a bet. I bet it has had more celebrities than any double tree in the world. I don't know all the double trees, but it's got to be high up there.

In New York City, celebrities are not staying at the double tree. No. You got options? You get put up in West Hartford and you're just the one in the double tree? I think West Hartford's a new option. Okay. That's a good save. All right.

So it's week one. We just watched the Cowboys and the Giants. So we'll lead off with that. Big upset. Giants win. Both New York teams are 1 and 0. What was interesting to me about the game is A, I've heard Chris Collinsworth be meaner to a group of people than he was the Dallas defense. He just kept being like, what are they doing?

And then second, the Giants not only won, they look like the better team throughout the game. They kind of dominated. Yeah, the Cowboys defense sucked last year. Got a new coordinator. to fix that to finally make that Super Bowl run they've been trying to make for 30 years now. And it doesn't, at least through one game, doesn't look like it's improved that much. Also, you know, this podcast hadn't been that high on Jackson Dart and Skadaboo. Pretty good start for those two, start the sophomore season for both of them.

It's been a big year for meatheads just across the board. Did you see Scataboo walking into the game? No, what he did? What he did? I'm still in it from the tweet I saw, but he said he looked like the bully in high school, but he's wearing like long baggy jeans. I think it's Darts, old jersey. Yeah.

It's a very Cam Scataboo outfit. Listen, if you are that kind of person, this has been a great year. You can start with Theo Vaugh, Pat McAfee, Cam Scataboo, Jackson, Dart. I mean, this has been a big busing with the boys. Like, this has been a big year for those kind of guys. And tonight was as well. Yeah, Dart with three T-Ds, though. I didn't have him out playing Dak pretty quiet night for Pickens.

I thought, you know, that defense we'd figure out. Turns out wasn't that great. But I thought the Cowboys' offense was going to be stacked to put up a ton of points. I mean, not a big night, really all around for that whole team. Yeah, you got – what was amazing is how much the Giants had the ball throughout it. I mean, they would – not a ton of big plays, but just methodically kind of controlling the pace of the play. And then a lot of mistakes for the Cowboys on offense. they would find themselves that, you know, they'd get sacked or they'd get a penalty,

and then they're at 3rd and 12, and they can't get it, and then George Pickens dropped a couple wide-open passes. Just a pretty bad performance. But I want to go back to the Cowboys' Defense, the new defensive coordinator, whose name is escaping me, let's call him Rick. They said in the thing that he was the ninth interview that Shot Nymer had done. That's too many. Yes, too many people.

When your aid tells you know, No, you just got to figure something else out. Well, I think the insinuation was the interview nine, and they picked him. Well, first of all, I don't know if he was the last one. I don't know if there were people after him. That's too many people. Schottenheimer takes too long to make decisions. Never interview more than three people.

And then I'm sure, you know, that's the one we always wanted. It's like, well, I'd you have the other eight in there, then if that was your guy. Like, nine seems like a lot. I remember one time many, many years ago, 2,000. in Washington, D.C. This was when people were playing illegal poker games. I'm sure they still aren't, but they were in 2001 in Washington, D.C. And when I was working on it, and this guy was arranging a poker game,

and he said that he was going to hire a bartender for the poker game for like 30 guys. And he was like, I'm going to do interviews. And I remember I was going, what are you going to, what are you going to interviews? Just find somebody. And he said, well, I already have me. scheduled. There's 18 people coming in. I was like 18 people for a bartender. Maybe if there's 18 for a bartender,

there needs to be nine for the defensive coordinator of Cowboys, but it didn't work, the guy they hired. At least in game one. Their new coordinator might be bartending soon if it continues like that. Their draft big down's made a big play on defense. Maybe there's some hope there. Maybe. On the other than the Giants, Isaiah likely's new to New York. He was a big target for them. He heard his name called a lot tonight. Had two TDs. So as I don't want to call myself a Giants Hater,

but I've definitely been rooting against them having a big year with that young group. We just have to accept the bros are going to, like, they're taking over. I mean, we just, I have to accept it. Those are the kind of people that just sort of rub me wronger. Wronger. Than everyone else on the planet. But, like, we just got to accept that that's, as long as Scataboo is successful, I don't know. This is the world we're going to live in.

One more note from the Game of Cover Zero update. I said Jake Ferguson, who married a Cavender, was going to have a big year. I don't know if he did anything tonight. It feels like when I saw him have tight ends, he wasn't even in. Was he hurt? There was some guy with two last names that I had never heard of that got all the catch. Span Ford? Yeah, Span Ford.

Yeah, Span Ford. They got all the catches. Yeah, a big Ferguson guy. I thought this was going to be his year. He's married. He's focused. Don't have to worry about all those other things out there. He's got his Cavender, but no.

Quiet night for him, too. It's the way it goes. we're going to have President Braxton Berrios here soon and that's just going to be what it is. So congrats to the Giants. New York teams both 1 and 0. Now, Billy, you're going to kind of go over the games. We have a lot because, you know, there's nobody on buys.

We had a game Wednesday and Thursday. So let's just run them down. Go for it. Sure. We'll start with an exciting one. The Lions beat the Saints in overtime 31 to 30. They blew a 21-point lead in the second half. And then in overtime, the Saints went for two.

and for the win, but they did not get it and the Lions win week one. Such a weird game. Like, it felt like it was over, and then all of a sudden the Saints were driving to tie. And then when the game was over, Tyler Shuck had 410 yards passing. Yeah, Shuck and the Saints

might be a little better than at least I expected. I mean, they did this without Alvin Kamara. You're at, I'm pretty high on Detroit and Dan Campbell, their operation there. To be down 21 and not quit and come back like that, that's crazy for New Orleans. I know you don't get the win, but I mean, the Saints showed like it looked like a good team today.

But 410 yards is a huge amount in an NFL game. Did you like the decision to go for two? I did. Like I said, you're the Saints. You're trying to build something new. You get mostly new faces. I know you're a shock and more have been there a year, but you're trying to start something and why not roll the dice?

They don't have high expectations to go win a Super Bowl this year. By going for two, maybe you still won there. You avoid a tie. And if you get it, you've got a huge win and week one to build on over the lions. and not sure it's a little disappointing, but you weren't supposed to be in that spot anyway. Yeah, I mean, it was in a position where if you, it's not like they could still win.

So if they kick the extra point, the game's just going to end in a tie. Now, that would have put them in first place in the NFC South. Nobody wants to get ready for a game. Do you think if they knew, though, that everyone else was going to lose, then they would have been in first place. They might have just chosen a tie. See, if I'm on an NFL team and I'm on that field,

I'm not thinking about my standings. I'm thinking I didn't show up here to tie. I'm going all or nothing. Let's go for two and settle this. By the way, and I'm all for player safety. Billy's against it. But for the most of us are, that's a weird thing about Billy.

Most of us are for player safety. I don't like the 10 minute rule in overtime. I'm not saying they have to play until someone, like I'm not saying they've got to play to the death. But like it used to be 15 minutes. And then all of a sudden we just switched it to 10. Why? Because I don't, this happens a lot.

I mean, we've now kind of made it to where both teams kind of only get one possession in a game. I don't really like that. I feel like we had some meaningful ones last year. I know the Packers had a tie that kind of shook up those standings. Why not just go 15? Because if you do 15, you're going to at least get three possessions. You might still get four. And you still would get occasional.

I think you'd get far fewer. I'd even be down to work in a gimmick, maybe not full college, but like you have to go for two. We're like, we have to decide this. I don't like it can just end the tie. Yeah. Yeah, or yeah, everybody gets the ball once. Yeah. And if not, then you, I've always thought college,

and it feels like the pros could do this too. Just start at, like, the 20. You know what I mean? Like, start at the 20, and, but you have to get to the end zone. What? I'm fine with that. Yeah, I mean, rather than first and goal at the 10,

it's first and goal with the 20. And you can't kick a field one. you could throw that in there if you wanted. I mean, whatever you want. I just, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I don't think the 10 minute clock. Why? I don't even like, I don't even like, I don't even like how it looks on the standings. When at the end of the year, like, oh, this team went eight, eight and one last year.

I'm like, that's stupid. The thing is, I never know early on whether the ties in the middle or at the end. On the, on the record. So I don't know if it's like three, oh, and one. I don't know if they have zero losses or zero ties. Unnecessary confusion. Do you know what I mean? I completely agree.

I still don't know. The ties at the end. Ties at the end. But it feels like the ties should be in the middle because it's between the worst and the loss. I'm with you. Again, another reason to get it out of here. I'm fine with ties in soccer. That makes sense.

I'm not anti-ties everywhere, but the NFL is better than ties. Yeah. So I don't like that. For the Lions, kind of a disappointing performance, right? You're at home. The fact that they had a chance to lose it on a two-point conversion, and for three-quarters, they dominated the game. A little bit disappointing, right?

You got to be happy, 31 points, three-quarters you dominated. But as you said, you gave up 400 passing yards. To Tyler Shuck. Tyler Shuck. Yeah, so that is concerning. I know they're secondary, had some guys out. But, I mean, this is the NFL. If Tyler Shuck's throwing 400 on you, it could be a long year.

Now, I promise you, like, we're not going to be like, you let's talk about my fantasy team, because that's, I think, boring radio. With that said, when we did the draft, I decided to pick one guy that was going to be my, I don't know who this is, but I'm going to have all in on him all year. And I picked Devon Velae. Okay. Hell yeah. And I'd never heard of him, but I picked him because he just, he spoke to me. I had him on my bench today, but he had 19.9 fantasy points.

And he's starting to earn a look on first team rep. And he was on, he's a New Orleans wide receiver. He was their number two receiver. And today he had, what? He had a full touchdown. He had a touchdown. He had, well, I can't find his stats here. But regardless, he had a big game.

Yeah, well, since you brought up fantasy, the guy I'm playing had Chris Olive, who was insane today. He didn't have a touchdown. But he had close to 200 yards and double-digit receptions helping Tyler Schutt get to 400 yards. Huge game for him, too. He is. I'm seeing that on the other side. That was a fun game to watch. It was the highest scoring week one since the 1970 merger, Matt. I don't know if you know that. There was a half time every game. The game was like 31 to 23 or something. It was crazy. I did a touchdown parlay. I do it every game in the 4 o'clock time slot. It was like filling up minutes in.

I got excited. I ended up not getting them all. I went six of eight. But minutes into the afternoon window, there were touchdowns everywhere. Yeah, it was everywhere. Well, in the highest season opener game, week one game ever, the Bears beat the Panthers 59 to 37. You had Caleb Williams go off throwing two touchdowns and running two as well.

but it was the most points scored ever against the Panthers in their history as a team and the Bears get a big win on the road. That's a wild. I mean, that was a wild game. Caleb Williams was awesome. Like, awesome. He may have made one bad decision the whole game. I mean, he was awesome.

And now, you know, if you're a Bears fan, if you want to be negative, you're like, well, we gave up 38 or whatever it was. But 59 points is objectively an insane amount against, now the Panthers defense. it looks like they're playing the four of us on their defensive line. They got no pressure on Caleb at all. But, you know, they lost DJ Moore, so you wondered if they would be able to steal. And then some guy, who was the receiver they had to step up? It was not on Dunezay or. Coker.

Coker. Coker. Coker. Jalen Coker. Jalen Coker had a huge game. Yeah, on third downs, they're like 71%. I think it was 10 of 14, 11 of 14, whatever the math is there. I mean, the offense did whatever they wanted. I thought it was interesting. I saw a clip after the game where Caleb Williams is like in the post-game scrum, like compliment in the Panthers defense.

He's like, y'all got a great defense. Was he just being a troll there? Oh, that's true. He didn't say you got a great defense. He's like, yeah, 59 points. That's just how good we are. You guys are still a great defense. We're just really, really good.

Ben Johnson said he wants to score the most points in history this season. I'd say he's off to a good start. He said that today? Yeah, he wants the Bears to be the highest scoring team ever. I said it before today. I'm a big Bears fan. So what do you think about his videos? His locker room videos?

I watch the hurricanes in hockey and the Bears in football. And the hurricanes, Rod Brindamore, their coach, I love his post game videos. He comes in and he says the F word a lot. And they have to, they use a hockey horn every time he says it. And so it's just like, you, me, guys, did such a murk job. But it's 45 seconds, and at the end, I'm ready to punch somebody. With Ben Johnson, everyone seems to like it, but I don't just totally connect to it when he's like, good, better, best, or whatever. I don't know.

I like those videos. I like the access we get. If I were critiquing him, he does the shirt off too much. Like, save the shirt off once a year. Again, big game shirt off. Effective McAfee. That's true. When in doubt, take your shirt off.

Oh, yeah, Ben Johnson, to the McAfee. He doesn't seem broie to me, but I do think he's the guy who got into the frat because his brother was in it, his older brother, so he tries just a little too hard. But he's really, listen, he's a great coach. I mean, the growth in Caleb Williams is unbelievable in the last two years. And then, you know, Swift, damn, and both. Swift was amazing. Well, both of them, I think, had 100 yards rushing guy behind him. I mean, you got two step running backs there.

I mean, one of the best tight ends in the entire NFL. I'm still a big Luther Burdin guy, even though today he didn't do a whole lot. That bear's offense is just stacked. He had a great catch, though. He had one really good catch. The Panthers, like, I mean, it's going to get lost because they gave up 59. But Bryce Young was, I mean, they scored a ton too. It gets lost when you give up 59.

But, I mean, the Panthers defense is just atrocious. Last night, Bryce Young was in bed, listening to Carolina Mike getting ready for the game. If you told him he'd have 350 yards and three touchdowns, you think he would be pretty excited about what. Well, he should. I mean, they shouldn't be. Their offense was good. They ran one, too. He had four total touchdowns.

Yeah. But are the Bears the best team in the NFC now that, considering what happened to rounds? I was saying it on our summer previews. I think the Bears are a real threat this year to do something special. And that's a great start doing it. I mean, I don't care who you're playing. 59 points in the NFL is bananas.

Well, they made, I mean, they let a couple guys go on defense. and that maybe had a... But, you know, if Caleb plays like that, he's going to be great. I don't expect him to score 59 every single game. That would probably be a record. Did Loveland even play or Ket? Like, he's a great title.

I don't think he played. I don't think that I saw. It was also a score of Gami. Oh, yeah, yeah. First time they ever had a 59, 38, 7. 37, total. So that's kind of...

It was the 10-100,000, 1,000. 64th score in the NFL history. Like a good scoregami game. 5937, that feels like it should be a scoregami. That one's probably going to stand forever. I think so. Yeah, I'd start dreaming dreams if I were you, Matt. This seems like a special year.

what is he only have? There's only two guys now with more. Emmett Smith and Medellane Tomlinson. Unbelievable. I really think he's the best ever. Really? You think he's the best ever? Well, he's 30. He's not slowing down. He's 32. Usually. Had a Walter Payton, Barry Sanders.

Well, because I don't think he's done. I mean, he's probably going to do it again next year and the next year. You don't see any running back really past 30, and he's doing this at 32. And for me as a fan, he was against the Colts, and he had the vintage stiff arm, or he just put a guy straight through the earth today, still cutting back at that size. I mean, I'm happy for him, but at the same time, I'm like, we, the Titans let him walk because they thought he was done. And he looks just like he's still in his prime. What's amazing about him is that he's this successful and runs in a way that you think would do a toll on his body.

Right? Like he's, he, he, on paper, he is the exact type of. of runner that should get significantly worse because he's taken so many hits. He does it head on. He's not trying to evade people. No, he's seeking the contacts. And yet, has he, I mean, you saw him in his prime. Is he even a step down from his prime?

Not really. I mean, his breakaway speed, because even at his size, he would leave people behind him back. He might have lost a little bit of speed there, but he's still elusive. And like, we saw that stiff arm today, his special move. When some of these DBs try to get on them, I mean, no one can put a stiff arm on him like him. And then Zay Flowers got hurt. But before that, he had a big game. You know, they paid him a boatload of money and people thought that was a waste.

And then at least for game one, he has it. Lamar had a huge game. Mar had a big game. They looked dominant in that game. And I think if it wasn't for the performance of the Bears, that would be the, you know, if you were to say, All right, who's in the Super Bowl after week one? You'd say Bears Ravens. Now, of course, that's not how to end up, but that's what it, you know, those to me were the two most impressive teams.

Yeah, this was a big statement. I think most people consider the Ravens still a contender, but there is a little bit of worrying like these guys are getting older and older. That did not look like one of the older teams in the league today in that game. Yeah. And then the Colts, I forget Daniel Jones exists until the game starts. And I'm like, oh, yeah, Daniel Jones is still going. Back from injury. They paid a lot of money this year, too.

Yeah, he is. Back from injury. He was fine, but it didn't run. This is a Daniel Jones performance. Yeah, I mean, Daniel Jones gives you, he's going to score 23 points. Yeah. John Taylor had a bad fumble. That was a really bad fumble. And the Colts gave up two first-round picks for Sauce Gardner, who couldn't guard Zayflowers today. You sound bitter. Did you do care? How can you give up two first-round picks for that guy? It's a bad move.

One's named Sauce. That's true. If there's any silver lining, it is the name. Yeah, well, good win for the Ravens. What's next? Well, while we're talking about them, the Titans homeowner didn't go very well. The Jets never trailed. They got a win against their former head coach, Robert Sala, 23 to 10, the final score, and Cam Ward didn't look that great in the game.

I mean, I'll defer to you on this. I knew we were going to be bad. I don't think they had a play over like 12 yards today. The Titans, we let Gino Smith and the Jets come in, score a bunch of points. The Jets just took over Nashville, too. They were like chanting, taunting Robert Solitz. We're debuting a head coach and he's getting locked in his own stadium. That's a tough thing for him.

To have his first game have to be against those two. It was Chris Johnson Ring of Honor Day and they delayed it. I don't know what happened there, but they're going to have to do another time. They announced that a few days before. But just all systems fail on Titans, week one game. Final season at the new stadium and we trot out a loss to the Jets in week one. Yeah, that was bad. Susan at the old stadium.

And I will admit, this is how I know a game is bad when I see none of it because I watch Red Zone. It never popped up one time the entire day. I think I saw Garrett Wilson have one catch and they didn't show another thing about it the entire game. Except at the very end, someone got an extra point or a field goal and it looked like there were 12 people left in the stadium. Because, I mean, sure, it was brutally hot. There was a Titans fan that said he'd walked him at Life Stadium if we lost to the Jets. He was backing out on it. Oh, he's already backing out.

He's like, hell no, I'm not doing it. Yeah, he said, I'll donate $100 for every point scored to charity, trying to get out of it. The Jets official Twitter is calling him out, like get to walk in money. Wait, man, he said he donated 100 points for every point. Who scored? The Jets? Yes. What was that?

Like, how many, how many they score? 23. So he's like, I'll give me $2,300. I'll give you $2,300 and then just leave me a lot. No, he has to walk. At least he has to walks out. I mean, well, first of all, how long would it take to walk from Nashville to New York? Seven days was what it said on the jet tweet.

It takes longer than seven days. Maybe that was the... What do you mean seven days? That's what it said. You could walk from Nashville to New York in seven days? No way. Maybe on a bird scooter. First of all, I know here.

So Lex, this, my little thing says, Lexington to New York, walking directions not available. Basically, like, don't even try. You know, well, it would be, first of all, it's going to be hard to walk because there aren't roads to, like, you can not allow to walk down the interstate. Yeah, I did Nissan Stadium to MetLife Stadium, which is what he said he'd do. and Google said, I cannot seem to find a good way to get there. That's exactly what it says. It says, I cannot find a good way to get there. Can't seem to find a good way to get there.

So you still make them walk if it's unsafe? Well, yeah. I mean, first of all, there is a way to get there. It might take a while, but like it's not. There are people, you know, the settlers did it. But it looked, when they would show it, it would usually be Deshaun Watson doing something bad. do you think they're trying to lose on purpose? Like everyone, there is no reasonable explanation for playing Deshaun Watson. He has no future with the team. The fans don't like him. He doesn't help you win.

Like, there's no reason to play him whatsoever. Why do you think they're doing? I don't know. But at the same time, I don't think anyone they have is good. No, I don't either. So maybe they're like, all right, it's Watson. Let's just throw him into this fire, get him out of the way. We'll bench him soon.

Let's show everyone how terrible he is. Then we'll go to Shador. I mean, that to me is the most logical explanation. Playing these first two road games, show the world he's terrible, and then cutting. Is that what they're going to do? And then go to Shador. Then go to Dill and Gabriel. with the Kubiak. They did it without Bowers, too. That's what I said. They just paid our local guy here in Kentucky. Michael Mayor a lot just got paid there a lot of money, too. I did see before the game, they announced that Max Crosby, the Rams, wanted him, and he turned them down, said he wanted to stay in Vegas. He likes going to the casino.

Heck, yeah. Most people would probably think I should get out of Vegas. I should go to the Rams and win a Super Bowl. He's like, no, I don't want to win a Super Bowl. I want to stay here in Vegas. Yeah. I respect it. If you think about it, Max Crosby's like the perfect writer.

Yeah, there's a few players that needs to be a writer. If you were going to pick the perfect historical writer, you would pick Max Crosby. But the chain there, they weren't going to end up with Miles Garrett. They weren't in Crosby. He wants to stay in Vegas and go watch shows, and now Garrett goes to the Rams. I just found that interesting that he would want to stay a part of that franchise, but they look good today. I thought they looked really good. So the dolphins were terrible with Malik Willis.

So that's my question is. Those are the three teams that are the worst. the Titans, the Browns, and the Dolphins. Who's going to be the worst? Titans. You remember, just three years ago, we drafted Malik Willis to be the future. We gave him one year, you're not good enough. Will Levin's our future, and he's not good enough.

Cam Ward's our future. Sooner to be, he's not good enough. This is just going to be a never-ending cycle. Because the franchise is not good. Well, I guess the Texans and the Jaguars are pretty good. So I was trying to think of winnable games. Yeah, we have to play the Texans defense twice. Yeah, but they have to play the Bills.

I'm just saying the Titans ever getting good is not going to happen. My initial inclination is that the worst team is actually the Browns. Because it was, I mean, Deshaun is easy to pick on, but their defense was awful too today. And that's always been their strength. I mean, what's kept them from being brutal last few years is their defense, and now they lose Miles Garrett. Did they let Gino Smith score all over them? That's true.

I mean, you did get dominated by the Jets. This is the Jets. Yeah, I'm going to go tight. So do you, you know, this is to draft a lot of quarterbacks. No, we'll do it again. The thing is there's nothing. Would you want to, like, get, would you want to have Archmaid? No, I didn't want Ward.

We need pieces. We need a line. Like, just getting another good quarterback, put it behind a line for them to get killed. So you would not, we could do that forever. You would not take Archman. I didn't want Cam Ward. I wanted to trade that one. I wanted to trade it several times.

We need a lot of things and go and getting a good quarterback. Yeah, there's multiple teams, I think, in this draft. draft that have like two I think the Browns maybe have two will have two high first round picks and you could maybe trade and then get like yeah I don't know I mean you're going to have ArchMean you're going to have Dante Moore

you're going to have who else is going to be there's a bunch of Oklahoma State guy whatever his name is there's Mincea at Miami there's a bunch of Carr and no names on the list yeah Sehan Julian Sayan CJ Car football to figure it all out, a lot of names.

Yeah, a lot of guys who might be good. So you think the Titans. I'm going to say the Browns. Who do you think so? I'm going Titans. Drew, talk to me into it. Okay. I wanted Abdul Carter.

When they got Cam Ward, I wanted to trade and get Abdul Carter and some picks, and he looks awesome for the Giants. And here we are watching Cam Ward, say, we asked him press conferences and slagest. Well, we don't have Mike Evans, so I think he feels like he's got to do a little bit more. Yeah. Tampa never punted. I found that interesting. Really? With all the fumbles and then, yeah. I didn't realize that. Burrow had a couple bad stupid plays, too.

He was kind of me. Yeah. Really bad pick six got us back in the game. That was a horrible pick six. That was like an uncharacteristically bad pick six by him. On the pregame show, Russell Wilson, who on television... Crushed him. Or, well, crushed the idea.

Yeah, and he said Burrow will be gone next year. But he also said, I met up with Burrow this offseason had dinner with him. The way he set it up made it sound like it was almost coming straight from Burrow's mouth. Like he was just sharing what was shared with him. But he said this will be Burroughs last season pretty much, so this doesn't go well. Well, I mean, if it went poorly, I can see it. I mean, I could see it.

There's only so long if you're borough. But the question is, where is he going to, I mean, where's he going to go? Like, they have him under contract. And in football, you don't see guys don't demand trades like they do in other, you know, in basketball and even in hockey. You can get, you see demanding him trade. People in the NFL, they don't really demand trades, do they? Quarterbacks? Can you think of a quarterback that demanded a trade?

He was holding out. Eli Manning. You know, that was before he played. John Elway did that too, but I'm saying like you don't see a guy in the middle of his career go. Because the Bengals would not, I don't care, they'll never be able to get equal value for Joe Burrow. I think they'd fire Zach Taylor before they got rid of Joe. Well, he's getting fired of this year. But I guess what I'm saying is Russell Wilson says Joe Burrow will leave.

He can't. None of these guys can leave these quarterbacks unless no one does. The best quarterbacks never leave. Right. Who leaves? Like who's a quarterback that was a top five quarterback that left in his prime? Brady left, but he was at the end of his career. He's with the Bengals, though.

But who? I can't think of one. I'm not saying it's never, like, Brett Farve even, you had aired, they had already drafted Aaron Rogers, so he was sitting there. Aaron Rogers, same thing with Jordan Love. Right. Most of the time you see him get traded, not play the final year. You never see them demand to walk. Yeah, it's rare to have a question.

Aaron Rogers threw for over 200 yards and got the win with Mike McCarthy. It was a boring game. But the Falcons were in it, had a chance.

I think they did. Didn't their kicker miss a couple kicks? I think they did. The Steelers defense came up big. Aaron Rogers had some throws that looked like vintage Aaron Roder. No, some vintage throw. Yeah, a couple back throws. but the defense really helped them today.

I mean, Watt had a touchdown, and then they had another turnover. The Watt touchdown was awesome. That play, that might have been the best play I saw all day. Like, he's one of the only person that could make that play. Yeah, and there's another one that set Pittsburgh up with a really short field they scored on. So the defense did most of the work for them today. I think they said during that he's only the second player of all time to have 100 sacks and 10 interceptions, him and Julius Peppers, which is a pretty amazing statistic.

Yeah, Rogers had the, the one throw where he, like, threaded it between four guys, and you go, okay, that's vintage. But I still feel like, to me, the Falcons are the most boring team in football, though Bejohn Robinson's great. And then the Steelers are kind of, they've been played this same. They're going to finish nine and eight. No, eight and nine. I picked eight and eight.

This would have been a bad loss for them. Because the Falcons hung around the whole game. I mean, they had Cooper Rush. That's so wild. What, two, three, three. years ago, you overpay Kirk Cousins a billion dollars, then you draft a rookie in the first round, then you go out

and get Tua, and of all those three, you're starting Cooper Rush on week one. Yeah. Is Pinnix? He's not ready to play. Has anyone seen him? I haven't heard anything about it. Wellness check on him. Not since that meme of him

pointing at Tua in the preseason game. Yeah. Okay. All right. What's next? Good for Cooper Rush, so. I couldn't know your life. In a thriller, the Bills beat the Texans, 36 to 31. Joe Brady gets a win in his debut as the new coach for the Bills. They scored with about a minute and 30 left in the game to beat a good defense.

So the bills are one and no. Well, and the Texans had a chance to score right there at the end. I actually thought the Texans were going to score, at which point I thought the storyline was going to be that C.J. Stroud really played well today, I thought. I thought that was really a bounce back performance. What do you mean maybe? Well, maybe heard the episode last week. where people said he wasn't? Well, I did.

Yeah. You think he played well because of you? Oh, maybe. Who do you think you are? I am. Yeah. I mean, that could have had part of it. But I thought he was really good.

And then Josh Allen had some dumb plays today. James Cook was great. But that was a really entertaining game. I think those are two of the four best teams in the AFC. They'll probably play again. Yeah, Montgomery, clearly a huge addition to Houston. Yeah, he had several times. touchdowns day, difference maker on offense.

With Stroud, I felt a little bad for him because that defense is so good. They just need Stroud to just have a decent year. Be good. You don't have to be great. You just be good. No, I'm saying. It looked like he was finally answering their call and then he fumbles there in the red zone. It's like he got right to where he was set up to make the play.

They're asking him to make the play there. That was a good play by the, by Deion Walker, the play before. I'm just saying Stroud had his moment to say, hey, I'm your quarterback. And then it had to end like that for him. so I felt bad. Our guy, Dionne Walker had a big sack right before the football team. He had a, that was a big play because they were about to score. That took them back a little bit.

I thought that was, to me, the most entertaining game of the day. And I think both, I mean, Houston's will be fine, even though they lost that. But that was great. Next. And Josh Allen was some weapons more in Kingade at huge games. DJ Moore. He's quiet. Then all of a sudden, two big plays in the second half.

in an NFC North matchup, the Vikings beat the Packers 39 to 22. Kyler Murray got a concussion in the game. It wasn't JJ McCarthy that came in. Carson Wentz. Wow. The veteran comes in. They scored 29 straight points to come back and beat the Packers. Jordan Love was terrible.

A lot of bad errors. I mean, the Vikings scored 21 points in about three minutes based on errors. Jordan Love with a bad pass. He had a fumble. Carson Wentz was good. What a surprise, though. First of all, Kyle Murray's, the hit on him was awful. It was kind of sad.

You could tell it was bad when everybody really was kneeling. They took the camera away. That was a dirty hit, and it's one of those where they're laying there with their helmet off. It's hard to watch with those head injuries. He did. He did. He did. It's in the moment.

You never know. Before that, I mean, his first pass was a horrible interception. Just an awful start to the Collar-Merry experience in Minnesota. But now Carson wins, you know. You get married or engaged in for sales, Kentucky. And all of a sudden it takes a few years for that to kick in, but then it happens, and there you go. It was the Jefferson breakout game. It was good for Wins, but Justin Jefferson was huge.

People forget how good he is. And he was nasty today. So he helped carry away. Good for Wins, but it helped having Jefferson to throw to. And for Green Bay, that was their sixth straight loss going back to last year. They haven't lost six straight games since 1991. Boy, I didn't know that. Wow, that makes sense.

They need Michael Parsons back in a hurry Whatever's going on with Jacobs How bad must J.J. McCarthy be, by the way? It's your boy, Billy. Nine. You look how good Justin Jefferson was And then They play Carson Wins over him.

JJ McCarthy. He's not going to play any more games there, right? I wouldn't think so if you go to Wince in that spot. Yeah, I mean. Remember Wins? It looked like he was going to die the last time he played for the Vikings. He got hit and he just kept getting hit.

and he's cross out on the sideline didn't know where he was. I'm glad he got a redemption. But the fact that they would go back to that instead of McCarthy says a lot. That's a really bad loss, though, for the Packers to lose, not just lose the game, but lose like they did. And to give up, how many points you say that was in a row in the-29. 29 straight points in the second half. And they, Green Bay out gained them by like 150 yards and still lost by that much.

Yeah. And big game for Christian Watson, our 5-1 body wash had two touchdowns. I forgot about 5-1. Look at the cover zero Super Bowl bump. That's a callback. You got a good memory. Do we have a cover zero Super Bowl bump? I just remember we had two 49ers on and we know what they did.

Chris McAfree. Yeah, McCaffrey. And Kendrick. The guy for the Bengals. Orlando Brown. Orlando Brown, they won. Mike Golick got a job at ESPN. Look at this.

Bryce Young didn't win today but played well. Maybe there's something to being on the show. I think you're right. Pretty much everybody that was with us had Bussing with the boys. That guy got a show on ESPN. Look at this. And I got a show on ESP.

And being in that podcast with us. You're like buddies with the Golics now. Oh, my mind. Mike's my guy. Although he didn't remember doing our podcast. Oh, that's sad. I did say to him. I was like, I interviewed you.

I said I interviewed you at the Super Bowl. And I could tell you. He was like, oh, it was a great time. I was like, yeah, you don't remember. Yeah, it's fun. My room was there right now. My room was there right now. Yeah.

Yeah, he did not. But no, now we're boys. I'm boys with the Golics. We have a lot in common. What's your favorite Golic? Rank the Gullicks. I like a boat. Just your top two.

I don't need more than two. I'm going to say Mike Senior because Mike Jr. Because Mike Jr. wears really tight t-shirts. So Mike Golic Jr.'s kind of ripped. right but he was wearing a shirt it was really tight you know a lot of like just a lot happening you know

so the next day on the on the show I'm like made a joke I was like Michael Jr. tight shirts well that night when we went to watch the game he was like I didn't realize you thought I wore tight shirts and I go well I mean yeah I assumed it was intentional you're the one that puts it on I was like I assumed it was intentionally he goes well now I'm going to work out a lot I want to be like, it's because you're working out. It's why it's so tight.

It wasn't like I was saying, I felt like I needed to make him feel better. Oh, he got in his head. He was in the double tree, looking in the mirror. Because I did notice when we went to the double tree, he was wearing like a bulky sweatshirt. Yeah, and he passed on the cookie. They're like, you went to cookies. He's like, no. No cookie for me tonight.

So you just have to remember, these people are humans, too. Yeah, we're all sensitive. We all have emotions. We all have our things. Yeah, think about what you tweet people and DM people on TV. They are people, too. They are people, too. And I noticed that in private, Mike Sr. makes fun of Mike Jr. for not having hair.

Oh, wow. That's got to be weird. That's got to be weird. That's got to be weird. Dad has significantly more hair than the son and gives him a hard time about it. Yeah, that's tough. And you know Mike Sr. is loving that. That's not supposed to go that way.

Yeah, it's supposed to be the opposite. Yeah, he's eating that up. Yeah, he is. But yeah, they're good guys. But they did not remember being on that. That's a shame. That really is a bump from Cover Zero. Heck yeah.

Like, every one-on had something really good happen. Billy, you said you got married? I'm trying to think. Billy got me. You had a baby? I had a baby. I had a baby. You got married.

I got an ESPN show. Will Compton-Taylor-W-Lan got an ESPN show. Mike Goli got an ESPN show. Orlando Brown's team won. Bryce Young had a big game. 49ers won. Look at this. Come on.

They should send us back every year, have us interview everyone. There's going to be a lot of people fighting to be on our show. to change their life around. Yeah. We should have the Titans on. A little message to the NFL. I'm going to need you to send this the Super Bowl. Because while I was at ESP and I found out I got cut from the people that were going to the Super Bowl for ESP.

I was on the first. So they gave out a first draft of who got to go and I was on it. And then I guess they said cut 20 percent. And I was in the 20 percent that got cut. But don't they know you're the cheap guy with the free internet? Like you're saving them money. I think I was going to demand premium internet. This is a boozy guy.

Jalen Hertz is on his fifth offensive coordinator in five seasons. He threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns today. I think the story out of this, great game. Stefan Diggs giveseth.

He take it the way. He said he forgot they changed the rules on that one. Because early in his career, that was allowed. I think it should be allowed. Antonio Brown used to do it. It's one of my favorite celebrations. I just think it should be allowed. Now, he is like 40.

So there comes a point you would think he wanted to stop. But I actually don't think that should be a penalty. Do you? No. but knowing Stefan Diggs, it might be tough to get him to stop doing that. Yeah. Do you think it should be a penalty? Not at all.

And there's just a big hug, a flying hug. Yeah, but there was leg spread. Yeah, but it's a leg spread hug, full-body hug. It was quick, though. He was like full speed into that. Yeah, see, I'd be worried it would hurt. It's been done many times in the past. That's why he was just trying to, he forgot they changed the rules with the taunting.

It hurt them. Now, if they hadn't had gotten the second two-point try at the end that got stuff, I would have thought there's a lot more meaningful. But they got back to the end zone. I don't think it truly cost them in the long run with Dix. But they could have done both just extra points. No, I'm with you. But, I mean, once you get a chance at the end, I don't think you complain about something that happened 20 minutes before.

Yeah, I'm not complaining about it. I would have been worried you. I would have hurt my, I guess they call it on Family Feudeman part. I would have been worried about that. Speaking of that, did you see the Wagner punter? No, I did not see the Wagner punter. Look it up real quick. Just look up Wagner punter.

They played James Madison. and look at what that guy had to take because, you know, when you block a punt, then you can hit the guy. They blocked the punt and he put a helmet into his nether region. Oh, yeah, I see it.

Does that not look? Yeah, that's tough. And they lost 87 to three. Yeah, if I'm not going back. You have to... James Madison was in second on Saturday. He's got to enter the portal. He does.

While we were talking, I was thinking to guys, and Denzel Ward popped in my head because we interviewed him. I was like, well, I should Google Denzel Ward. Maybe something happened.

beat the Chargers 26 to 14 in L.A. And we also saw the Chargers, they were one of the biggest favorites of the weekend at 9.5 on a line. But the Cardinals with Jacoby Burset and rookie head coach Mike Lefleur get the win. Well, Matt, Lefleur.

No, Mike, Matt, the brothers. I think it's Mike. Matt's Packers, Mike is... You want to fight? It's Mike. Yeah, yeah. Matt's Packers. Did you say Mike? I thought I said Mike.

You said Matt. We may never know, honestly. When I watched this game, there was a Mike that caught my attention. I immediately thought of Matt. Did you see Mike McDaniels sunglasses for the charges? I did. Mike McDaniels. I immediately was like, I hope Matt is watching this.

He is trying to be in a 70s band at this point. He looks ridiculous. You're not in Miami anymore. I didn't think you can wear those in Miami, actually. He looks absolutely ridiculous. And it's like he wants to only, he wants to look more ridiculous. He deserves. the loss. There are two people who I saw today

during that, I mean, the two most striking people of the day to me were in that game. One is Mike McDaniel, because I saw the sunglasses and his hair just keeps getting more blue fonty. His pants get tighter. They get shorter. He looks ridiculous. And I didn't know who Madison Beer was. But clearly, the camera guy did

because she was on there a lot. And And I can't remember seeing, like, if you want to see the sort of internetification of the world, the way that the camera, man, he put the camera on her like 10 times. And she was wearing clothing that my grandmother would have made her go back in the house. It was all over my algorithm on social media. It should have been. It was striking. Is this the future?

Because is she going to, I mean, she's going to be at it. Like when Taylor Swift goes, she's just there. But Madison, beer is there. This is her moment. She needs the chargers to not lose to the Cardinals and stink so she can be on the big stage. Well, if the same camera people are in charge, she's going to be because they showed her. I mean, he would sneeze and they would show her. At one point she had this really tall drink.

And I think she mouths like what is happening or what is that. Does she have any friends? Because it seemed like she was always sitting by herself. I have a confession. I still don't know who this person is. I don't either. Like, I know that she dates Herbert. I know she's pretty, I don't know what she does for a living. Whatever. They just, they, yeah, she's a singer. Okay, she's a singer.

Oh, so she's a singer. Yes. So she's not like neon. No. No. We still don't know what Neon does. He streams. But what does he stream? On the internet. Some people don't know, before the show, Mario or social media guy, I was like, he streams.

And I said, well, how does he stream? He's like, he interviews people. And I was like, well, how did he get to interview people? And he said, by streaming, and I was like, you realize that's a circle. At some point, there has to be a starting point. There's a catalyst that got a guy. At least with Madison Beer, she said, she's hot. Okay, so that's the starting point. Neon looks, look, no, he does not, he's not hot.

But he streams. But he streams. Yeah, so there goes to interviewing people. And why is he interviewing people? Because he streams. Yeah. Well, why did he start streaming to do interviews? There's no start.

starting point for these people. Anyway, that was a terrible performance, though, by the chart. Well, I was very disappointed. Like, I don't know that I was going to happen in the Super Bowl, but I was really excited, and I think a lot of people were, to see the McDaniel, Harbaugh, Herbert, this year's significant workout. It should be an exciting offense, and to lose the Cardinals,

and only score 14 points. This might have been my biggest disappointment in the entire. Oh, this is the by far the biggest disappointment of the day. And, by the way, it used to be that people would go to the air Arizona Stadium and the opposing teams would take over their stadium. That was the rule of football. Now, the Chargers have people take over their stadium so much that even Cardinals fans take over your stadium.

There were more Cardinals fans than there were Chargers. I didn't even know there were Cardinals fans, and they outnumbered the Chargers fans. Do you think the Chargers are like, we have to pay some actors in here. We always have the opposing fans. We've got to get some Cardinals fans in here somehow. And that's why they kept it on Madison Beer. There was no one else there rooting for the Chargers. No one else to show.

Except her and Neon. That was it. Does Arizona have something or is this just all about the Chargers letting him down? No, I mean, you still have Jacoby Reset. There's only so much you can do. But he's competent, right? So you put him in, you know he's going to just be competent. And that was enough.

That is a hideous performance. But remember what I said. Every single year in week one, there's one game that at the end of the year you go, how did that happen in week one? Last year the Raiders, remember, beat the Patriots in week one. I think this will be that one. We will look back and we'll go, how did that happen? And that was your Survivor pull pick.

Which is why I shouldn't have done that. That was me last year. I think I went out week two. The game is not as fun when you're out, week one. And I almost did the circle one this year. What's that? The one where you enter and it's like a thousand bucks or whatever. Like actually committing money to it?

Yeah, I almost did it. If I had thought about it, I couldn't figure out how to do it in time. But if I thought about it, I was going to do it, and I was going to pick the – I'd have been like, well, here's my $1,000. Thank you. That was the biggest point spread? Yeah. Second biggest. I assume a lot of pools got wrecked.

Yeah, there was one more. Maybe the Lions. I think the Lions was the biggest Lion Saints. All right, what's next? Well, we also had a couple of games that weren't played on Sunday, including a Super Bowl rematch, the Seahawks beating the Patriots 13 to 10, picking off Drake May three times in the game, including in the final seconds, a terrible pass by Drake May. Just for the record, I predicted, even though I did pick him in my fantasy league. I predicted that he would be.

You are resident Drake May Hater. Yeah. I mean, I think he's still very good, but the idea that he's the top four quarterback, I don't think he deserves that. And I think that game was sort of proof of that. Now, he'll be fine, but I think the Patriots are going to be a regression team. Seahawks are still, I mean, the Seahawks are good. Why do we act like the Seahawks aren't good? And they did that without Darnold, too.

Yeah, I mean, Darnal was out, and you know, you get Drew Locke and you still win the game. Yeah, it was such a bad pass by. But the defense really carried them. They're showing that they can have bad games here and there, and that defense is still going to make sure they're able to win. I mean, J.S.N. had a big game, but otherwise, it was mostly the defense holding the Patriots to 10 points is why they won that. How long is Darnold out? I don't think we know yet. I know he's not playing next week.

But I didn't hear what the news was. I only saw he wasn't playing this next week. Okay. And then the 49ers won in Australia, right? 27 to 7. I'm just glad this happened for science reasons. Yeah. We were passionate last week on this.

Well, I just didn't like the idea that they thought they were better than science. I don't like when people just all of a sudden are like the laws of gravity and physics and relativity don't apply to me. And the Rams got it in the snod. Not even science. They couldn't be bothered to spend some time in Australia. They couldn't open their mind, see new place, meet new people, try new cultures. They're too big for that. We're too good.

They got exactly what they deserved. Free your mind and the rest will follow. And the Rams didn't do that. And the undefeated season is over already. Myron's 68% chance they go undefeated went down. And then Miles Garrett now out for what, four games? Four games? Yeah.

It's not the worst thing in that. the world. But tough start for them. What was crazy to me about that game, I think everybody's trying to say, well, it wasn't the, you know, it wasn't the plane trip. I hope it was the plane trip.

If not, you have some questions to ask, right? Right? You better hope it was the plane trip, because that was a terrible performance. Oh, if I'm a Rams fan, I'm absolutely blaming the plane because I don't want my team to have real problems like that. I think it's outrageous.

just they tried that. I mean, the Rams are still going to be very good. But I'm just glad we can put it in. You mentioned Myron. But all the talk that, like, this is going to be one of the best teams ever. I'm glad in week one, they got humbled a little bit so we can have normal discussions about them. They're good, but they don't need to be in the undefeated talk or anything like that. The problem for me in this game is I was on a flight home from New York, and I couldn't get my little internet.

Didn't pay for that good Wi-Fi? No, well, I'm a United Plus member, so I had it for free. Thank you very much. But I couldn't get it to work. So the only way I could watch it was the guy across the aisle and he was watching on his phone. And he would stop at various points to, like, check his text or Twitter. And I wanted to go, sir, I'm trying to watch this game over your shoulder. Can you tell your mom to stop texting you?

Will you stop texting your children? They are driving right now. You do not need to look at Instagram right now. It is the first game in Australia. Yes. And so I missed plays because he had to talk to his family. And, you know, I didn't like that. Pretty selfish in hell, huh? Yeah. Had no spatial awareness of my attempts at looking over his shoulder.

Do we think this is good? I mean, obviously it is good for the 49ers, but they look pretty healthy. I mean, kettle was kind of quiet. They should just stay there. Just play all their games. Because it's clear. They can't be in San Francisco. Everybody gets hurt. But if you saw what having Fred Warner and Nick Bosa does for your defense, you look a lot better. What's next?

That's it. Those are the games. And then to what you got, but you'll be listening to this probably on Monday. So tonight is Monday night football. It's what, Broncos and Chiefs? Correct. Chiefs are a two and a half point favorite. I was watching the intro to Sunday Night Football earlier, and they went live to Kansas City where people are already tailgating. No, they're not really. Yeah. People are already outside the stadium. I know Chiefs fans go hard, but NFL.

I didn't know people did the 24-hour tailgate. the NFL. I respect it. Yeah. I want to see the NFL's better if the Chiefs are good. Like, I mean, the Chiefs are, I would argue the Chiefs are the biggest star power team in the league. I think they were before Kelsey started being married to Taylor Swift. I think they certainly are now. Don't you want, don't you want them to be good? I thought the league was missing something, having them be not competitive last year. I did. It felt weird. I was following them losing the division of the Broncos last year, but it felt good when they, just kind of stunk. I mean, they weren't even really in contention whatsoever.

But you don't want that, though, do you? No, I'm saying. That's what it felt like weird when the chiefs, a brand you're seeing on it, it'd be like if the Golden State Warriors are in the last in the NBA, it just doesn't feel right. And I still want another good six to eight years of Mahomes, right? And I want to, you know, he's been hurt twice now. And sometimes, you know, that can be that, I hope we're not getting to a point that,

like, he's on a downslide. He's, what, 29 or something? So, like, he should have another six, eight years, maybe longer playing. I hope he still is, I don't want to think the best days are over. He's 30, right? And outside of Kelsey, who's old. Yeah, he's almost done. But all of Mahomes' teammates, targets, your offensive playmakers are all young except for Kelsey.

It'll be interesting to see. I mean, you're the only person left that has a fantasy game that could go. go either way. You need a big game for Kenneth Walker. I think it's also going to be interesting to see how much they use him. I would think they paid all that money for him, in part, to protect Mahomes, right? And so I'm going to assume we see a heavy dose starting tomorrow night of him. Yeah, I need him to get six points. I feel pretty good about that, but he could be... Don't get too cocky. That's the second time you've done that tonight. You act like getting six points is nothing. Well, I mean, I just, I feel like Kenneth Walker gets six. I'm not being cocky. I just,

I think Kenneth Walker gets me... He's being cocky, but he's being cocky, but he's the second time. Billy? No, he better get six points. What if he gets hurt? Well, that happens. That's a Kenneth Walker problem if he gets hurt. Well, it's your problem, too. I'll be right.

I'm just saying, I just need Kenneth Walker to get six points. And if he's anything like what he was in that Super Bowl game and takes that next step of what the Chiefs wanted to be, he could really turn them into back what they were, whether Kelsey's old or not. It could be the new phase with Mahomes leading that young wave of talent. We had a couple of these games, like, we're really close. Actually, yeah.

How did Dylan Bauer have? 186 points. Who do you have? I went against Caleb Williams. He had 52 by himself. So, Dylan, this is this guy in the league's team. Dak Prescott, Derek Henry, Williams, Mon St. Brown, Christian Watson,

Goddair, Etienne, who apparently now, did you know he changed the way he pronounces his name? It's A-Chane. It's A-Chane. That's very different than what we've all said for years. Do people just decide that not to, they just not tell you? you forever. Because he's been Travis Etienne for a long time and now he's Travis A-Chain. Yeah, he's like, people have been getting it wrong forever.

But that's way wrong. That's not even the same word. First of all, where does the A-Chane come from? I don't know. At one point what threw me off is I was watching the Saints today when they said A-Chane. I thought they said like A-C-C-N with the dolphins. I was like, wait, he's all. I was like, did he get traded before the game? Like, what are you talking about? His spelling is E-T-I-E-N-N-E. And A chain would mean that the T is pronounced as a C-H. I'm going to assume it's French.

Hmm. Okay. What, I guess. Comes off as French. It just feels like he could have said something before now. Yeah. Like, everybody's getting it wrong for years. And not a little wrong.

Every single letter wrong. And she, bass was like, I didn't care. Like, I'm not going to go tap the beat rider on the shoulder and say you're saying it wrong. But I'm Matt Jones. If you were calling me Matt Lonnie's hung. I'd be like, no, I'm Jones. Well, the stadium announcer, too, right? I mean, was he saying it wrong all this year?

No, the announcer today, the play-by-play announcer for their game, whoever it was, he said it. And everyone in the internet was like, what an idiot. He hasn't done any research. But he was the only one that was right. And then people were like, no, actually, he's the one that's right, because he changed his name. Or he just said this is how he supposed to say. Yeah, but for years, the in-game stadium announcer has been calling touchdowns. And apparently he did not care. Yeah, I think he said something like I told him and they just kept doing it. And like at that point, I'm just going to

live my life. I'm kind of the same way, though. Like, it's not my job. I don't know if I believe that, though. If he came to him and said you're pronouncing my name wrong, I don't think the announcer was like, they eat it. Yeah, but I mean, if I've told him twice at some point, like, whatever, like he's not going to get it, you know, if I've told him, I'm not just going to spend my life going up to you, like, beating it into your brain. They've called him that on every level of football. I remember him in college. They called him that.

Yeah. He just rolled with it. He's like, well, I told him. One of these days, Billy's going to come in and say, it's roche. But if you told someone something twice, and they just start, they're not listening. Like, well, I'm not just going to spend my whole life beating it into your brain. I've told you twice. Fair enough.
