Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome back to the podcast, everybody. Today's guest is my brother, Jimmy Weldon. Jimmy is somebody that I've grown closer and closer with over the last couple of years here at the farm. His incredible and amazing wife and partner, mother to the wonderful, beautiful little Cataleya girl is Jen Lee, and she's been working with us here at the farm since its inception. So we've just grown closer and closer. Jimmy has an incredible story that i've been awaiting uh to drop on this podcast i love his journey love his path uh if you listen to the ken conti episode that actually was the lead up to this the prequel actually even though they're completely different people ken held space for the vision quest the first vision quest we've done in this land and it was jimmy actually participated in it. So I've been really excited to have him not only go through that experience,
Starting point is 00:00:48 but be able to share that experience here in bits and pieces because, you know, full trip reports don't always end up the best. If you haven't been there yet, I get it. At the same time, I think there are some really beautiful gems that Jimmy is going to be able to drop here on this podcast. So very excited for that. As I've mentioned before, the ads will now be in episodes.
Starting point is 00:01:08 So expect an ad every 15 to 20 minutes. You are welcome to fast forward as always. But these guys do make this show possible. Couldn't do the show without them. And I absolutely love the sponsors that we have here. Without further ado, my brother, Jimmy Weldon. Welcome to the podcast, Jimmy. Hi, thanks for having me, brother.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Fuck yeah, brother. For your first time on a podcast, I like doing that. I did that with Eric and Brent. First ever, yeah. Got the boys on there, but you listen, that's all that's necessary, I guess. We've gotten to know each other over the years with your helping out on the farm and stuff like that and your incredible uh wife-to-be jen has been working with us as a team cpa and and all things numbers and just a fantastic human that i met through fit for service she's she's been incredible yeah it's been been a really cool ride uh we've had the fortune of of walking this land together and talking a lot. And you've got a pretty cool past.
Starting point is 00:02:07 So I wanted to dive into that. But I also wanted to wait because we just had our first ever vision quest on the land. Yeah. And you were the only one with the balls to go ahead and do it. Oh, man. Yeah. Super, super stoked to talk about that with you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:21 I loved chatting with Ken. You know, obviously we listened to that podcast. Ken Conti was amazing. If you haven we listened to that podcast. Ken was, Ken Conti was amazing. If you haven't listened to that podcast, check it out. We'll link to it in the show notes. It's not a must listen prior to listening to this one, but it is, uh, it is cool to see, you know, what was that like on the other side for him? Because, you know, he was in ceremony with you and, um, um, I'm super excited, uh, next year to be able to drop in with you and join you for that. So lots of cool shit. You know, my podcast is fairly similar in structure.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Tell me about life. What was life like growing up? Were you born and raised in Michigan? Tell me about family, church, all the things. And then what got you heading in the direction that you're headed? Sure, sure. Yeah. So born, I was actually born in Indiana by Gary, you know, till I was probably one or two, somewhere in that timeframe,
Starting point is 00:03:10 we ended up moving to Michigan and Three Rivers. So I was born and raised in Three Rivers, Michigan until I was in my early twenties. Childhood growing up is pretty rough. Single mom, raising three kids, moved around a lot, did that. Eventually I went and moved with my father at one point, but childhood for me, it was a struggle, struggle. Not a lot of structure, a lot of structure a lot of freedom you know at an early age you know just went down the alcohol drug thing you know dad wasn't really around so we just had all the freedom in the world to kind of run around you would do what we did right was that pretty common in the area too? It was, it was. Yeah. There was, I mean, there's a good mix of it. I had some friends, you know, I could see like they grew up in very
Starting point is 00:04:10 stable households with their mother and father. And, and then a lot of my other friends, you know, they come from, you know, mom and dad are divorced at a young age and and all the things and you know i went through physical abuse as a kid so um at a very young age and that that affected me i was a very sensitive kid growing up and then eventually became an angry kid you know as well so it was it was tough and like i said at a young age you know got into drugs I mean are talking like 11 years old damn yeah so 13 was the first time I started yeah using alcohol you know regularly never really got into the other drugs until yeah I think I was I've might have used cannabis once or twice um growing up and then when I was 19 all bets were off when I moved out to Arizona.
Starting point is 00:05:05 I was like, I'm going to try this. I want to try that. Yeah, and it was like that growing up. I mean, cannabis, I mean, it was like an everyday thing, right? And that was just kind of what I went to, right? That was my release. You know, at the time, I didn't realize what I was doing. Did you play sports or
Starting point is 00:05:25 anything like that I did grew up playing in middle school and then early high school we played football um basketball did a little ice hockey you know on the ponds in Michigan it's cold as shit you know so get out there play a little ice hockey not on a team but just for fun but yeah football and basketball when I got into high school, that's kind of where it got really rough, right? Never going to school, eventually a lot of fighting, you know, a lot of those kinds of things. So I actually shifted to an alternative school. And actually a couple of years of me going to that alternative school, I had a teacher there that really, I get really emotional about it because it changed my course right there.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Because I was just, like I said, drugs, alcohol, not going to school, fighting, running around, doing whatever we want, no supervision. And then eventually, you know, I had an older brother who's passed now and some of his friends, I mean, they're getting into some harder drugs, you know, and then getting busted, going to jail, doing those things. And when they started kind of going that path, you know, I kind of dabbled in that a minute and then I was like, man, this just doesn't seem right, right? This just doesn't resonate. I'm like, man, life just doesn't seem right, right? This just doesn't resonate.
Starting point is 00:06:45 I'm like, man, life just shouldn't be this way. I always had this thing inside of me, like, growing up, like, man, life should not be like this, you know? And I had a teacher. His name was Jeff. He sat me down one day, and every day, man, this guy never gave up on me. And he was like, Jimmy, you're not these guys, you know? If you keep going down this path, you're going to end up dead or in jail. And then eventually it just stuck with me and then started going and going to school and finishing it out.
Starting point is 00:07:15 But thank God to Jeff because if that guy wasn't in my life and that was kind of the only male structure I had, whether he realizes that or not, you know, to kind of mentor me and guide me, you know, to get me out of that, this sinkhole that I was just sinking in. Yeah. What were, what was the, if you don't mind me asking, what were the harder drugs? Was it heroin? Coke? Never heroin. Um, is it, it went to cocaine. Yeah. And then this is acid. You're around my age. Right. So like, I mean, it's funny, acid. Yeah, it's like.
Starting point is 00:07:48 The people, you know, like using shit now like we do ceremonially. Right. It's like, oh, fuck it. Acid or Burning Man or, you know, I had acid at a, oh God, which concert was it? I forget, but it was at Hollywood Bowl and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Yeah. It was fucking transcendent. You know, it was incredible.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Yeah. But a lot of the kids I knew growing up that were dropping acid and eating mushrooms, those guys didn't pan out well. It was just very odd to me. Like they're using it like a drug, not using it for ascension or inner knowing or any of the things you could use it for.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Right. And it was really at that point when there was kind of that shift because I was like, yeah, I smoked marijuana, did a thing, yeah, I smoke marijuana, do the thing, drink. Okay. And, but when that came into the picture, man, that, that just opened it up, you know, with even some close friends to go to way harder drugs. Then you see, you know, I saw heroin kind of coming into the picture with some friends.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Meth was a massive thing in Michigan. It just kind of. I know meth has been big but it's man i didn't remember meth being a thing when i was younger right you know but like i am i know a lot of uh that area indiana too you know and so many other areas have been hit hard there's places in california like fresno has been fucking decimated from meth that was like just in you know 90 minutes from there not not a far drive. And it's weird because meth just all of a sudden seemed to show up. Like it was never there.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And then all of a sudden, like, bam, meth is like having to sweep across Michigan. And man, I would see that. And I just saw a grab a holding people in such a just a dark way. And like, that doesn't look fun. You know, heroin? Absolutely not. I hate hate needles don't want nothing to do with it um not that but but cocaine is where i really um during that time where jeff i'll go back to jeff my teacher i had that conversation with me i was actually with some friends and we went and got cocaine and we did a lot of cocaine to where i bought overdosed and i couldn't move and and that was the last time i ever did it you know because they're picking me
Starting point is 00:09:51 up off the floor and i'm like you gotta take me to the hospital and they didn't they took me home like fuck no you're not taking the yeah i was like hey i gotta go to the hospital like i'm in a bad way right and we're we're we're in it we'll pray for you buddy yeah yeah it's like it's like hey and they're like no i'll just take him home right and freaking took me home you know we leave this old country road and old country house and a bunch of country kids doing what what we were doing and dropped me off at home and left me like it was a hard night i mean i literally thought i was gonna die there and i'm like fuck. I'm never doing this shit again. Like, no way.
Starting point is 00:10:27 You know, you guys just left me, right? And the last time I touched it, and then Jeff had these conversations with me. And I'm like, I got to get out of this place. I got to get out of Michigan. Like, life, this just isn't what it's supposed to be, you know? And during all that time, really, it's like I just had that, never had that mentorship, you know, from a strong father and the love of the mother that I needed.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Never had that, you know? So I was just, you know, but I always dreamed of it as a kid because I would see those friends that I was talking about. Yeah, I was going to say, could you see it? You know, like I remember my parents split when I was 13 and I was begging them for a divorce, basically. Like silently, I wanted them to get divorced for years, probably since I was seven or eight years old.
Starting point is 00:11:17 I knew they weren't right for each other. Yeah. But I could see it, you know, like a couple of my friends who had parents that stick together, I could see them get into an argument and at my little pin prickles, spider sense would go up, you know, the feelers, you get really good at reading a room real quick. Um, those would go up and I could see them work through it and hold each other. And I was like, what the fuck is that? Is this like, Whoa, these guys can work through shit together yeah and and and not agree
Starting point is 00:11:46 and still come to hold each other it was mind-blowing to see that happen you know i was like 10 13 years old yeah the way you know you would see these different friend groups and i'd see them the way their mom and dad hugs them and spends time with them showing up to their football games you know really just paying attention and never seeing them argue. You know, there's not this crazy craziness, chaos happening, stuff like that. And I'm like, you know, just I go back to a young kid and I always looked at that from a young age and I'm like, man, I would just always have this conversation with God, like, what is going on? Like, life can't be this way. I want that. So I had this dream of that kind of kept me going
Starting point is 00:12:27 right like held on to that like then that got me through a lot of things like life life can be different i know it can i just don't know how to get there and did you sorry to cut you off yeah no no i was gonna say did you did you grow up in church like um and and if you did you know if so at what point because you talked about you know talking to god i think i would talk to god on occasion but not expect you know and certainly not receive anything back any gnosis any knowledge or anything like that but um my experiences in church early on just left me with more questions than answers and eventually i didn't like it plus we were in the bay area and i was like there's no way that two dudes kissing each other is going to send them
Starting point is 00:13:09 to fucking hell you know like i just i just knew like that that that can't be right if god is love yeah and god is the all intelligent has created all things that that two men that love each other are going to fucking burn in hell that just it was something that never sat with me um and it wasn't until years later you know where like you know my back's against the wall hit rock bottom and then i have my first genuine experience of of like god flowing through me like holy shit moment and then from there it still took me years before i would actually pray in a way where i could receive knowing and and in return you know yeah no so i did grow up going to church. So my father was actually a pastor, I think till I was one years old. He got out. I mean,
Starting point is 00:13:50 I never remember him being a pastor and his dad was a pastor. So on my dad's side, it's interesting because you come from a line of pastors. My mom's side, it's all military right so you either go pastor military right and and you know we never like when I was younger there was like going to church but then you just never really forced us you know definitely did go but I just never felt like I fit in you know and and I didn't resonate like I I don't think there's people that's going to burn in hell. Like that doesn't resonate with me. I don't believe that at all. Um, and I didn't have any God moments until I was older. I'm sure we're going to get to that where like, I'm praying and God, God answers that, you know, um, you know, that, that call to you
Starting point is 00:14:43 and that feeling to you. I always had a very strong faith, though, right? Like, to me, I always, like, knew I know God's there. And, yeah, I may not be able to see him and feel him right now, but growing up, I would always pray, you know. So, I mean, that sense of knowing was always there. But when I come to church, you know, and like I said, my dad's side, they're very religious, super, super religious. You know, but they weren't, you know, like my aunts are just beautiful people.
Starting point is 00:15:15 You know, they were like, what's going on with these kids? Because they're super religious. Their kids are going to church three days a week and all things. But there was never judgment from them. There was judgment from other people at the church that's why it's like he got this kid here this kid's going to hell right i felt that judgment a lot so i never felt in place at church right i felt in place with god like that knowing but yeah church just wasn't my thing i just couldn't fit in yeah i just didn't feel right to me. And I, and I don't
Starting point is 00:15:45 believe those we're all going to hell type of thing. If we do this or that, it just doesn't resonate. So you had a, you had your mentor, Jeff guiding you. And I imagine that's, you know, he finished your GED or whatever the high school looks like that you finished with. Did you have plans on what you wanted to do after that? How did that look? Yeah. So I knew, Jeff got me, he got me through that, and he was like, hey, we need to get your GED. You know, we got to get you through this.
Starting point is 00:16:12 You know, it helped me get through it. So thankful to Jeff. And then, you know, kind of around 18 years old, you know, I found myself, like, just kind of stuck again. You know, not with drugs, but getting back into alcohol and just still kind of lost. Like, man, I just don't want to be in this place and I got to get out. And then shortly after that, 9-11 happened. And that was the turning point for me.
Starting point is 00:16:37 I've always wanted to go in the military. I'd hear my grandpa from a young age talking about the military. And, you know, I was like, man, you know, I kind of want to do this, but I'm kind of scared shitless too. Like, to go. And then 9-11 happened. And after 9-11 happened, I'm like, okay, I'm going to go. And this is my way out. And I'm going to use it to the fullest extent to get out of here.
Starting point is 00:16:59 And also educate myself because I wanted to go to college as well. You know, I wanted to, you know, just keep educating myself and get out of three rivers. You know, I love the city, but for me, it just wasn't working, you know. So then after 9-11 happened, I'm like, okay, I'm going. And I went and signed up. And from there, a whole different journey of going into the military started. And it was a crazy 12 years I spent in the military, and I had a very blessed career. I started off as an enlisted guy in the military.
Starting point is 00:17:36 And then eventually I had my commanding officer say, Jimmy, you need to become an officer. And I'm like, well, what do they do? You know, I never see these lieutenants around. He's like, no, you need to become an officer. And I'm like, well, what do they do? You know, I never see these lieutenants around. He's like, no, you need to, we want to send you to, send you to college. And, and we think this is the better path for you. And, and I fought it for a little bit, you know, cause I just wanted to hang with the boys and do what I was doing. And, and then I went to basic training as an enlisted guy, came out, spent some time in the national guard in Michigan
Starting point is 00:18:04 with the LIRS guys, the long range surveillance guys. They don't exist anymore, you know, five, six years ago, or at some point they did away with them. But then moving forward, ended up having the opportunity to go to University of Texas and St. Edwards in Austin, the military would pay for that. So we moved down here at the time and left Michigan, came down to Austin, and then started through the ROTC program. And then during that time, you know, going to college, doing the thing, then switching over to an infantry officer.
Starting point is 00:18:41 You know, in 2009, I commissioned as an infantry officer and, and ended up getting selected for active duty army. But then on the guard side, there was a specialty unit there trying to get me to come over. And, and I ended up going active duty guard in a, in a unit there that I could stay in Austin, didn't have to travel around the country. And I took the opportunity and I'm glad I did because I got to go to some amazing schools with some of the best the military has to offer. And I got to be around, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:18 I'll say like Green Berets, those types of people. So I was in very good company and I learned a lot from these people mentally, mentally and physically. Um, and it excelled my career, you know, and I just would, um, spend a lot of, you know, spend a lot of time with these guys, but I spent a lot of time away from home too. And then, um, through my path in the military, once I commissioned, um, I'm going to fast forward here a couple of years years because we could do a whole another podcast on my military career um i like those i like so not everyone likes those i love sean
Starting point is 00:19:50 ryan's five or six hour lifetime story you know interviews with the veterans i fucking love those hey guys i want to tell you real quick about an amazing company called peak one of the things that i've done and I do periodically is I want to replace my morning coffee. Starting point is 00:20:28 running, pickleball. Not that pickleball kicks my ass very often, but if I'm playing Aubrey or singles, I will get my ass kicked. And I don't want to have my heart racing for things like that. Yet, I still want that cognitive boost. And this is what I get from Nandaka. Nandaka is the best coffee alternative. That's P-I-Q-U-E-L-I-F-E.com for up to 20% off. Peaklife.com slash KKP. Yeah, we could, we, I have so many great stories and so many hard ones as well, you know, but fast forward in my career, um, you know, went through a deployment and, and I sustained
Starting point is 00:21:52 a lot of injuries. I've sustained a lot of injuries in training because the training can be pretty tough when you go to these different types of schools and then sustained a vertical spinal fracture during my deployment and messed up my lung and we found out i had a fracture through the hip um and man that was a life-changing event because i went from being fine you know walking around you know flying around in helicopters to you know doing you know physical training with the boys in the morning, going out running a mission or doing work, whatever it is, to, fuck, I can't walk.
Starting point is 00:22:29 And my fracture was really low on the spine, and the bottom of my spine ended up collapsing. And within four days, I mean, I was losing my bladder. I couldn't walk, and my whole life was changing very, very rapidly. And that got me out of, we were in North Africa and went to Longstool. And I was at Longstool for a couple of weeks in Germany. And then from there-
Starting point is 00:22:52 I was thinking Djibouti, which isn't North Africa, but I was thinking Djibouti. That's where I was. So you went from Djibouti to Longstool. Yeah. Just got to point that out. The little kid in me is having a shit fit right now. Djibouti.
Starting point is 00:23:04 You went from Djibouti to Longstool. Yeah, I have some pretty good t-shirts from Djibouti. I should bring it back. I have some pretty good quotes on there. And then eventually back to San Antonio, and I spent, I think I was there about a month at Brook Army Medical, and then eventually to Fort Hood to,
Starting point is 00:23:19 now they call it the Warrior Transitioning Unit. And at that point in time, it was like, I was having a lot of trouble walking. I mean, I couldn't just walk, right? They're like, Hey, we don't, we don't think you're going to be able to walk. You may not walk again. And if you do, it's going to, you're going to have to use a cane or a walker. You're going to struggle, you know? And also at that time, like, by the way, you know, we don't even think you're going to make it to 40 years old. You know, you know, I had a lung thing going on here and some massive lung damage,
Starting point is 00:23:45 lung damage to my right lung, you know? So at that point, I mean, my life was just turned upside down, you know, and just going through that time was a very, very dark period of time, uh, for me, because you're on a shit ton of medications, you know, and I just full trust like hey you tell me to take it I'm gonna take it. I'm in pain. I'm in hurt. I'm hurting The stuff's supposed to heal me I'm gonna get better But then some doctors are like you're never gonna get better and just going through this whole thing Then the military is like, okay, you're done. We're gonna put you out and I'm like, what the hell you want me to do To me you're gonna figure that out i'm like what the hell
Starting point is 00:24:26 so eventually the military transitions me out back into the civilian world and i'm still struggling i mean i mean i'm on pain meds every day i mean you know you rest assured your body's addicted to them you know i'm on the lotted i'm on some real potent stuff. And I just couldn't even function mentally. Like, my brain was mush. I didn't know which way's up or down at this point. In a lot of pain, and eventually I ended up going back to Michigan because my sister lived in Michigan. And I needed help, you know, getting out of a relationship here,
Starting point is 00:25:02 then moving back there, and was just in a world of hurt, in and out of hospitals. I mean, I was going to the hospitals three days a week. Damn. You know, and then back in hospitals for weeks at a time, and then out, and just this constant back and forth in and out of hospitals on a shit ton of medication, and really struggled. And that's a point where I want to go back to the God thing because I totally had this conversation with God and I'm like, how could you, right? I got pissed at God at this point. I'm like, how could this happen? I don't understand it. I can't find my way through
Starting point is 00:25:39 it. My brain's stuck. And I don't want to say I completely lost my faith, but I was in a super, super dark place, like a dark place to where I wanted to take my own life. Right. And, and I want to share the story because it's going to kind of segue into what I'm doing now and kind of rerouted my past. And I had friends at this time I served with committing suicide. I had my cousin's husband who served who committed suicide. And then I'm like, you know, maybe this is a better way, right? I'm just a burden to everybody around me, right? And at the same time, like, I don't feel love anymore. I'm just completely empty inside, you know?
Starting point is 00:26:22 And I remember, man, I grabbed a a pistol I went and sat right out in the woods and I'm like okay like this is just the way it's got to be and I'm gonna laugh because there's like everybody's like has this thing about black cats and I see a black cat and I'm like that's my savior right there because like I'm out in the middle of the woods on a stomp. I wrecked my gun, and I see this massive, big, Maine Coon black cat, like this stray cat. And it beelines for me and just starts rubbing up against me and purring. And I'm like, what the hell is going on here? Like, this cat knows what's going on here, right?
Starting point is 00:26:58 And it snapped my brain out of it. And I'm like, what am I doing? Like, this isn't the way. And I go back to the kid, and I said it out loud. doing like this isn't the way and i go back to a kid and i said it out loud like this is not the way this this can't be how this is and i that's when i felt the presence of god come back to me i didn't hear him speak to me and i get the chills right now i just feel him like zap like just just that that feeling inside And then I was like, okay, I got to make some life changes here. You know, I need a purpose because I'm super depressed.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Anxiety is at its highest, but I have no purpose in life, right? My purpose was serving the military and I loved it, right? But now I had no purpose. So it's like, I need to find a purpose again. You know, I need to do something. And once my cousin's husband committed suicide I'm like man this is you know I got to figure something out and I saw at that point in time there's a bunch of coffee companies starting to be born in the US these veteran coffee companies and there's a pretty big one out there and and these guys had just
Starting point is 00:28:04 started and I'd see the videos they out there and and these guys had just started and i'd see the videos they make and they made these funny ass videos they're great yeah they're great and it's black rifle coffee company right i'll say it you know and you know i'd watch these videos of what these guys are doing and they just had this big veteran push like you know you know what i mean and just just making fun of like all the shit you go through in the military. And it's like, man, it just sparked something in me. I'm like, wait a minute, you know, these guys have created a purpose again. They're helping veterans. If I can do 1% of what those are a half a percent of what those guys are doing, you know, maybe I can
Starting point is 00:28:41 get myself, give myself purpose again and get me out of this this massive rut I'm in and and then literally like a few days later you know I'm still not recovered yet I'm still hobbling around using a cane sometimes whatever and I flew out to Sandpoint Idaho and I knew there was a roasting school there I started googling looking for roasting schools and they're like hey sorry we're booked up and I was like hey a roasting school there. I started Googling and looking for roasting schools, and they're like, hey, sorry, we're booked up. And I was like, hey, I don't know what to tell you, but I'm flying out there, and I'm coming to your roasting school. And they're like, the lady on the phone, her name is Christine. She's amazing.
Starting point is 00:29:16 And she's like, I don't know, Jimmy, we're booked. I don't know if they're going to let you in. And I'm like, well, I'm coming. And then she called me back. She was like, okay, come. Here's the amazing part about when I show up at this roasting school, right? So now I have this purpose of what I think I want to do and get my life back on track. So I fly out to this roasting school in Sandpoint, Idaho. There's about 15 people sitting in the class
Starting point is 00:29:40 and we're doing introductions. And I see this guy sitting next to me and he has this military type of cut you know a real cleanup and he's just looking at me the whole time and I'm like what is this dude's problem like what the fuck man and he's looking at me and he was like hey were you in the military and I was like yeah I mean I was and he was like where'd you serve and I was like he's like where'd you serve on deployment and I was like Africa and I was like, he's like, where'd you serve on deployment? And I was like, Africa. And he was like, and it's just getting really weird, right? And he's in the whole, at this time, the whole class stops and they're focused on us because the teacher's like,
Starting point is 00:30:17 the instructor's like, okay, well, you guys are going to have a conversation. Let's just listen. And he's like, I was like, in Africa, he's like, what countries did you serve in? And I was like, well, I was in Uganda a little bit. I was in Djibouti. And he's like, I was like, in Africa, he's like, what countries did you serve in? I was like, well, I was in Uganda a little bit. I was in Djibouti. And he's like, did you get hurt? I was like, I did. And he's like, what country? He's being very specific in the questions he was asking. And then I tell him, and he was like, I did your medevac paperwork. So he was like, our team is a Navy guy. It goes through a whole channel to do a bunch of paperwork with the military to get you on the next plane, to get you to where you need to go.
Starting point is 00:30:49 And so now I'm sitting, this is when I knew, like, I'm on the right path. Right. I'm in Sandpoint, Idaho, the middle of nowhere. You know, I just was like, I'm just going to do this. Took my life savings, flew out there, and now I'm sitting next to the guy who helped to medevac me out of djibouti and i was like and then that that faith to god just gets a little stronger and i'm like well i know i'm on the right path and and from there i i purchased a roaster the smallest roaster they had it was like a one bean it's like a 1K roaster and I can roast six pounds an hour. You know, and take it back to Michigan.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And at this time, there's a guy I knew there, and he's willing to help out. He's like, hey, I got a warehouse. You can set up shop here. And so I just went in there and started roasting. And then a restaurant came to me and said, hey, we want to support you. We heard what you're doing and how you're trying to help veterans and help yourself. So we want to help you. So then I just started getting all this business and completely overwhelmed, you know, still going through the aches and pains and in pain constantly every day. But I knew I just had to do this thing. And then veterans would show up. I'd get there in the morning. And I remember this guy showing up with his daughter at like 6 a.m.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Like, what are you doing? He's like, man, I just, I'm having trouble. He's like, I need help. I'm like, okay, well, come on, come in. Let's roast some coffee. Let's do a thing. You know, like brought his little girl in. I'm like, we found some markers and some paper.
Starting point is 00:32:21 And he's like, man, he's like, how are you doing? And we just had this conversation. And long story short, I ended up driving to ptsd clinic and got him help and got his family help and then i was like man i'm definitely on the right path here and then then from there the company just the rivers coffee company just started building and building and building when i created that logo there's 22 stars around that logo so So when I walk into work every day, I remember like, I don't want to become that statistic, you know, and remember the ones that did take their life, you know, and didn't see the way out. And, and we want to help combat that. I do want to help combat that, you know, the best we can. 22 stars, meaning the 22 suicides a day yeah it's way higher than that now
Starting point is 00:33:06 yeah you know but but yeah i just never want to forget why i started this company and i was almost that statistic you know at what point um at what point did you come in contact with plant medicines and things like that i mean it's a's a big, big conversation. I love mutual friends and everything, too. I'm excited to have this conversation because of the fact that we've both seen it go awry in the wrong direction, and I think that's an important piece that we will talk about.
Starting point is 00:33:40 But talk about when did that first start to come into the picture in terms of, you know, your healing and your path forward? Yeah. So, so I'm going to fast forward from Michigan. Eventually I needed to make some, I needed more medical, better medical help. I was going to U of M and U of M's like, the VA is not working with them very, very good, very well. And I ended up calling the Mayo Clinic here in Austin and calling Burke Army Medical. And I'm like, because at that time, U of M's like, there's nothing more we can do for you. We're going to up your Dilaudid. And that's pretty much it. I'm like, okay, well, I'm going to
Starting point is 00:34:16 die real quick then, right? And not going to do this. Made some massive life changes all the way around because I knew I needed to make them. Came out here to Austin. And this is a pretty crazy story. It's another, I've had a few near death experiences. So I came down, came down to Texas and went to a spinal clinic and a spinal surgeon down in San Antonio. And they're like, no, we can help you. We think let's go into your spine. We're going to clean up around your nerve roots and do the thing. Well, when they went in there, they hit my spinal cord, and I'm awake during it.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Like it is unbelievable pain. It sucks, and you're already in pain, right? So it's a sucky deal. So they ended up hitting my spine, getting me patched back up. I go home to a room with a buddy in the apartment and my skin started turning beet red. Like, like look like I was sunburned. I just felt really sick. I'm like, man, something is off. Something is off. Ended up calling the, you know, the, the neurosurgeon's nurse. And she's like, Hey, we think you're going to septus. Like you need to get back into the
Starting point is 00:35:23 hospital real quick here. So drive down to, I didn't even make it to San Antonio because I took the back way, ended up in Bernie. And they get me in the hospital real quick and get me in, check me out. And they hooked me up to a blood pressure machine. My blood pressure is at 237. And they're like, and the nurses, now I got like six, seven different nurses in there, and they're freaking out. They're like, no, the machine's broken. It can't be that. He's going to go into cardiac arrest if that's what's happening. Well, that was what was happening. Brought another machine in, hooked me up. They bring a freaking priest in. And I'm like, what are you doing here? And they're like, hey, bud, you're in a real bad way. And I could feel
Starting point is 00:36:02 my body feel like it was kind of starting to, like, stroke out or go into cardiac arrest because they couldn't get my blood pressure down because infection had spread so fast. And I was like, and I said, hey, you can fucking leave. Like, literally to that priest, I'm like, this ain't happening today. You know, and I'm joking because I joke when I get in those really stressful situations. And then there just happened to be a military doctor doing some sort of internship there. And he walks in. He's like, you're in the military? I was like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:31 And he's like, it explains the humor. And he's like, hey, you're seriously in a real bad way here. We need to get you to a heart hospital in San Antonio real fast. And I'm like, OK. Like, whatever. Let's do the thing. And my side of my face is kind of going numb. And I'm like clen, like whatever, let's do the thing. And at my side of my face is kind of going numb and I'm like clenching my teeth, trying to like, hold on. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:36:50 this ain't happening. So they get me in an ambulance, get me over to the heart hospital. On the way there, the guy, the medic was an army guy who ordered coffee in the ambulance. It's like, well, this guy's about to die. So let me order a bag of coffee for me. And then these doctors come in, and I'm like, you can leave.
Starting point is 00:38:58 We're not doing this today. Like, get out of here. And I could feel the fluid. It's really weird what happens for me. I could feel the fluid, like, move away from your heart. And your heart's, like, slow pumping. It's like you're really dehydrated and your heart's just not working. And I'm like, I'm really, now I'm starting to kind of lose consciousness, right?
Starting point is 00:39:20 They couldn't get my blood pressure down. They're giving me all sorts of shit. And the last thing I remember is two nurses saying, invert them, invert them. So they're strapping me to this table, trying to invert me and get my legs up, I think, to get the fluid back to the heart. And I remember it just going white. It's just completely white. And it was a super emotional moment for me because that's, talk about the presence of God hitting you like a ton of
Starting point is 00:39:46 bricks. There it was like, bam. And it was so, it's just so lucid. Right. So I don't know how long I was out. Right. And then I have this dream and there was a guy I served with in the military, the screamer that I served with in this unit. And I see him, like, kind of down here at the end of my feet. I see his wife next to me, and she's, like, bawling. And I've known these two for a long time, but I haven't seen them in, like, five years, six years. It's been a while. Then I see this other girl over my head,
Starting point is 00:40:18 but I could just see her head. I'm like, this is fucking weird. Like, she don't have a body, and they're crying. Like, where am I? Like, what is going on? And this girl, like, reached out and kissed my forehead, and bam, I came out of it. And I was, like, just sat up, and I'm, like, breathing hard,
Starting point is 00:40:34 and these nurses are looking at me like, what the fuck? Like, he's back here. He's doing a thing, and doctors come in, and I'm trying to rip out these cords at this point. Like, I got to go. I got to go talk to my buddy my buddy right I just had this experience and they're like Jimmy you can't leave they're like just about running to died here like you're not gonna leave and I'm like no get the director of the hospital I'm leaving right and he actually comes out in the prison the hospital
Starting point is 00:41:01 comes down he's like hey man we've never had anybody live that long with their blood pressure this high and what you just experienced. Like, you shouldn't be here. I was like, I know, but I had this weird vision of like, you don't understand. He goes, no, I do understand. And he's like, just give us a day, right? Give us a day. Let's make sure you're okay. Next morning rolls around. I'm like, hey, I'm leaving. He's like, okay, but you have to promise me. I mean, they knew I was going to leave. They couldn't hold me. And I'm texting my buddy in the hospital, and I'm texting him like, hey, where are you at?
Starting point is 00:41:32 And he's like, hey, what's going on? You know, we're coming in out of the state, moving a friend in the state. You know? I'm like, sweet. I'll be there in a little bit. And he's like, okay. Right? So, and this leads into plant medicine sorry long explanation here but i
Starting point is 00:41:47 think it's important it's important i love this like what it does brother absolutely connects it so i drive up to to to the to my buddy and they're pulling in with a u-haul like they have movers there they're coming in i haven't seen him he's still in the military um and i and i pull up there and i see this other car pull up and i see this woman get out and i'm like fuck that's the woman in the dream and i'm freaking out and i'm like how am i gonna tell my buddy this so and i'm like hobbling up there and he's like looking at me uh just getting out i was like you're all right and i'm like fucking ragged i Real, real ragged. Probably shouldn't have even drove.
Starting point is 00:42:28 I don't even know how I got there. You know, and he's like, hey, man, what's going on? I'm like, hey, bud, I got to talk to you. He's like, you're going to find this so crazy. And he just kind of looks at me, you know, and he just, we lock eyes for a minute, and he just kind of smirks, and he's like, I ain't going to find it crazy, Jimmy. I'm like, okay. And it took me about a half hour, so I start to tell him this experience. I said, hey, bud, I was in the hospital.
Starting point is 00:42:53 This just about happened. Here's this dream I had, and she was in the freaking dream. And who is she? Like, I don't even know who she is at this point. And he just kind of laughed. And I knew nothing of plant medicine you know i nothing like i didn't know what 5-meo was i didn't know what hoppe was i've heard of ayahuasca didn't know what it was um so very limited he's like hey we need to send hoppe
Starting point is 00:43:18 i'm like what's happening it's like oh we're just gonna do a little ceremony and we're gonna play a drum and we're gonna she's to blow this stuff up your nose and all the things. And I'm like, this is fucking crazy. Like, what are you doing, you know? And, you know, they go in, come out in this ceremonial dress, and I'm like, this is just weird. They're, like, using sage.
Starting point is 00:43:39 I didn't even know what sage is. I'm like, why does it smell like that? And he's laughing. And he's like she's just going through this process right i didn't know what was happening which i do now but you know it goes through this process and they set out some like some stones and some crystals and she starts playing a drum and singing and i could just feel this weird vibration coming from this stone and there are some other things that happen in there but but I got to shorten this for you a little bit. And, and I wanted to pick that stone up, right?
Starting point is 00:44:09 I want to reach over and grab it, but I'm afraid. Cause I'm like, I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Like this ain't going to work. Like what, what's going on? And they, my buddy is just laughing at me, not laughing. He's just smiling. And he's like, he knows what's going on. And so I reach over and I grab the stone. I'm like, this is so weird. This thing is vibrated. I don't know why I just like held it. And he's like, okay, she's going to shoot this up your nose, but she's got to get it to your other nostril too. It's nicotine. So hop a, you know, in short for those who don't know, it has nicotine from Amazon in it. It has just, it could have bark and leaves, just ground up, right? It's not a psychedelic.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Tobacco stuff. Tobacco stuff. Not a psychedelic or anything. Well, she blows this up my nose and I feel a pop in my brain. Like physically feel it and my ears are ringing. And I'm very vocal at this point. I'm like, what'd you just do? Like, what is happening?
Starting point is 00:45:03 And I'm like crying and laughing. And at a time I didn't know my crowns busted open. And now I have God just flooding into me, like the presence like I've never felt before and just flooding and flooding and flooding into me. And then she does the other side. And I mean, it just wrecked my world for a minute and it regrounded me and just pushed out all this stuff. And then after that, I'm like laying on the floor and I'm like, you know, and I'm just like, God's doing a thing with me and I can just feel his presence. And then all of a sudden I feel like this dark presence. And I'm like, Dave, like, I feel like a dark presence.
Starting point is 00:45:43 And then I feel this other thing coming into me. Am I going crazy here? Like, what am I feeling? I'm starting to, you know, just weird shit started happening at the point. I'm like, this is weird, right? I didn't know what to make of it. And he's like, well, what is this saying to you? And I'm like, well, this feels really bad.
Starting point is 00:46:00 And this is telling me to go up to that woman that I don't know who she is and do this and hold my hands out to her. And he's like, go do that. And I'm like, fuck no. Like, I don't know this. Like, this whole thing going on. And long story short, it's like a whole thing happening between,
Starting point is 00:46:17 you know, the next hour or two. And he's like, hey, we need to sit with 5-MEO. And I'm like, well, what's that? Like, I have no clue what 5-MeO is. It's poison from a rug. And here's the process. And I'm like, dude, I don't want to die. Like this just about happened. And, and long story short, we, we sit into it and man, it just opened me right up in the presence of God. Like I've never felt before. And, and a lot of things coming in and out and I really appreciate you know those two people at that moment to help move some of this
Starting point is 00:46:52 this stuff out and kind of cracked me open so I could kind of start down this medicine path so that was my first experience with with first for a good psychedelic the day after dying they they give you the most powerful psychedelic known to man as your entry point. Right. It's fitting. Yeah. It's also maybe not the path I'd recommend for most people. No, no.
Starting point is 00:47:16 In the medicine path, I will say from what I experienced now and what I've seen, it is not for everybody. You know, and it is not. And that worked for me at that moment and and yeah that would not be one that i recommend people starting with for sure um but it was the path in what was in front of me at the time and and it definitely helped crack me open and move forward down the medicine journey absolutely brother yeah talk about um well i guess we get i'm still stuck on the idea of like when goes sour yeah yeah we can talk about that but i want to know more about you you know and maybe that rolls back into you know where we because
Starting point is 00:47:56 i mean i'll just be honest that when i first got into this aubrey was the aubrey markers was the only guy talking about it on on rogan's and on like a main, a main avenue that I'd listened to. You know, it wasn't a lot of people talking ayahuasca. There had been books written, but you know, they were kind of, you had to know what you were looking for. Like Jeremy Narby's work, DNA and the Cosmic Serpent, things like that. You had to find it. You had to know what you're looking at. Um, and, uh, even ayahuasca itself, I had heard of, but i didn't know what it was you know until working
Starting point is 00:48:26 with it and then it was like i remember working with that and thinking i was in disbelief i couldn't believe that no one knew about their stuff right like how is it that this isn't on fucking mainstream television right now the most important thing i've ever come across the most transformational the most holy shit the most it's magic it's like magic in a bottle right yeah can be and um you really wanted to stand on top of the mountain and beat the drum you're like fucking everyone pay attention this shit exists yeah i guess it'll change your life yeah and um the first inclination that i got that it wasn't a panacea was going back to the same reservation and working with the same practitioners. I'd see a lot of the same people,
Starting point is 00:49:06 and a lot of them, you know, a year or two into it, looked like they were in the exact same place. And not just physically, right? Like, people come with physical ailments or mental, emotional stuff, spiritual stuff. Every walk of life, every intention is a good intention. Sure. But it seemed like they were almost like
Starting point is 00:49:26 walking in place and their life had changed nothing had changed not no part of their diet had the exact same habits had the same exact intention as a year ago um hadn't healed from the bad relationship whatever or childhood or fill in the blank yeah and um you know part of me wasn't sure if that was just being judgmental or, you know, part of me wasn't sure if that was just being judgmental or not, you know? Sure. But that was like a first little, maybe it's not a panacea for everybody.
Starting point is 00:49:52 Maybe it doesn't affect everyone the same, you know? Right. And over the years, I mean, that was like 2010 when I first started working with Aya. Mm-hmm. I've seen more people, you know, before I could kind of count maybe one or two people who had gone off the
Starting point is 00:50:07 rails and since 2020 you know I can count on not a shit ton but two hands you know it's more than five people that I know personally that have disconnected themselves from consensus reality in a way that's
Starting point is 00:50:23 no longer beneficial for them and their mission on life. You know, that, that, that, to put it plainly, you know, like, they're not in a loony bin, they're not in a straight jacket, they're not in a padded cell with white walls. Right. But they have, have gone so far away from consensus reality that they,
Starting point is 00:50:39 they're no longer a functioning member of society. Right. And not in a positive way. Like, it's not like they decided to go off into the woods and, you know, become a regenerative farmer and live off the lay of the land and disconnect themselves from social media. That's not it. What I'm talking about is, like, they've lost friends,
Starting point is 00:50:57 they've lost family, they have lost therapists, they've lost everything they know. And the people that they come in contact with, you know, are short-lived because once they see the pattern, once they see the issue there, they realize, I'm talking to a crazy person right now. Yeah. And that's fucking scary. It's all kinds of scary when you see, like, that's a potential as well. And also, you know, we've seen people who have healed themselves gone to the medicine path become practitioners and then they're they themselves as practitioners life's implode and they're
Starting point is 00:51:33 considering suicide and all sorts of shit and it's like holy shit dude like there's no real it can happen to anyone is my point you know and it's not just like well that was their fault because they took too much or well you know they have this one genetic thing where that means that they're gonna go nuts if they do it like it's not that that's not it you know right right it's man there's so many different ways we could go with that let i want to hit on one thing before before i get into that you know you know because at this point in time i I was still having trouble walking, and I went through combo, eventually AYA, and some other medicine ceremonies. And within about a month, I could walk unassisted. My body completely changed.
Starting point is 00:52:17 My mind completely rewired, right? And it wasn't stuck like this skip record you know so for me and I think maybe it's the way for me the way I approached it and I was very also cautious with it but I even I even would tell my neurosurgeons I'm going to do this and I would go do it I came back and he's like what did you do and I'm like oh I went and did this and he goes go back and do it again he's like, what did you do? And I'm like, oh, I went and did this. And he goes, go back and do it again. He's like, Jimmy, that medicine is so intelligent. We don't understand it. We don't know how it works. Even combo.
Starting point is 00:52:50 He's like, we don't understand how it works. We know it's a massive anti-inflammatory. You know, it can clean the liver out, do the thing. And it works. Boost immune function for a year and a half. All the things, right? So it just rewired my body and rewired my brain. But at that point, I think it's important. I took time to do that, right? Like I took time off from
Starting point is 00:53:13 work. I took time off, you know, it's like, this was my sole mission in life now is like, I need to heal myself, right? The physical and then getting to the mental and working through all of that, you know? So I made sure I had time and space to be getting to the mental and working through all of that, you know? So I made sure I had time and space to be able to do that and integrate those processes, you know? And with plant medicine, you know, I guess we can start like from what I've seen, like I don't think it's everybody's path. And I think you need to proceed with caution, you know? Big time. Really, really be careful what what you're know what you're asking for right like like we talk don't go sit with five meo your first time i don't suggest that at all right and there's some good places overseas that have been serving medicine you can speak to better
Starting point is 00:53:58 and i can and on their history that have a good grasp on it and and really know how to you know vet the person and really understand their background and their history and what's going on with them before they go sit in these medicines. And I think that's very important, you know, because I have seen and I have had friends and I've seen people go sit with plant medicine. And like you said, I mean, it does completely the opposite like they're secluded from life they seclude their self from everybody they're just kind of tapped out I've seen people get stuck in psychosis as
Starting point is 00:54:34 well and kind of not come back you know and in what why that is I don't know because I don't know you know what's going on with their body or their mind or or that or that? Or is it the practitioner you're sitting with too? I think proceed with caution. And I will say that a million times, be very careful if you're considering plant medicines. Who are you going to sit with? How long have they been serving? Right? How, what is their integration process like? Because to me, that's more important right you have to you have to be able to have the support to to integrate what you're about to what's about to happen with
Starting point is 00:55:11 your body and your mind and what you're going to be exposed to to me like i said i've seen that i see people not have those integration processes and it just it just wrecks their whole world in a different way and yeah brother you know let's see, let's, let's get back on you then you, you, you with combo and with the help of many medicines, you're able to walk again. Yeah. Inflammation tanks, you actually start to regain. Um, what did that process look like? You told you, you know, the neurosurgeon says, go do it again. Yeah. So I'm sure you're doing PT and things like that. Probably doing things you, you would not probably, you were starting to do things they said you'd never do again. Yeah, absolutely. So at that point in time,
Starting point is 00:55:49 then fast forward, I sit with combo. They're like, Hey, come sit with combo. Like, okay. And they're like, well, it's three days in a row. And it's like a, it's a reset. We call it a vaccine. It's going to reset the body, do the things, you know. Nature's vaccine. Yeah, nature's vaccine. So I go sit in combo the first day, and combo is, oh, man, I was scared shitless. Like, I had this, I was fearful, but got the courage, sat through it. It was hard, but it wasn't that bad. Like, my body, like, the first day I sat in combo, I just sat there and cried. Like, I just felt it emotionally. I felt, like, this heat moving around around my body and everywhere I had these injuries, the knee surgeries, the back, the shoulder,
Starting point is 00:56:30 the legs, the everything, the lungs. It just felt really warm, right? And I was like, what's happening eventually? You know, you purged. So I went through this for three days. Well, I think it was like two days, two days later, I could walk like unassisted, like no pain, like no pain. I never touched medicine, pharmaceutical medicines after that ever again. I'm like, I'm never taking these medicines, right? I'm on steroids, I'm on medicines, diet goes to shit, everything goes to shit. And then my body just kind of restructuring and going back. And I mean, I lost 90 pounds. I gained that much weight on these medications and these steroids every two weeks get pumped into your body. So in less than a year, I dropped 90 pounds of weight. It was crazy. Right. And my body just started shifting and going back to the doctor. So I'd go back and do it again, you know. And so I'd go back and do these processes. And then eventually I went to ayahuasca. And man, ayahuasca is unlike, oh man, it is unlike any other medicine except one.
Starting point is 00:57:48 I'll say the vision quest is very different. We can talk about that too, but went and sat with ayahuasca. And ayahuasca is a big mover. Like what I mean by that is, man, all this stock energy in my body, right? All that anger that I've just built up in resentment and and you also at that point in time you kind of get in a victimhood right i'm a victim of these injuries and all these things and it it just pushes it out of your body right that's one thing i love about the purge la purga is that it's it's not you know some physical reaction of your body saying this is i'm being
Starting point is 00:58:23 poisoned let's puke it out it's it's mental emotional you know, some physical reaction of your body saying this is, I'm being poisoned. Let's puke it out. It's, it's mental, emotional, you know, it's psycho-spiritual and it, it's judgment. It's, it's all negativity. It's any of these things at any given point. But the thing that I always recognize in the moment is what's coming up as it leaves, right? I can feel that whatever, whatever that is, whether that's pain, judgment, I'll know exactly what I'm purging. And it's not like that every single time, but most of the time, that's the, there's recognition there. Even if it's not mine, if it's the guy next to me and I have to puke violently for a second, I, I'm, that doesn't feel like me. Is that me? And then I'll turn to the guy and I'll see him feel better. And like holy shit yeah this is some weird stuff right this is some weird stuff and I can get into that I mean for me what I
Starting point is 00:59:09 experienced in ayahuasca I mean I experienced so many things I saw where that anger was coming from from from a child right being abused to you know fast forward to those teenage years it's like a movie for me just kind of playing in my head and bringing these things forward. And for me, I couldn't escape it. It's like, it's there. Let's deal with these things, right? And get through them. And then for me, it was really interesting because ayahuasca comes into me and it lays out like seven generations of my family, right? And it's like, hey, you're going to, we need to clear all this in this trauma that has been passed on and at that time i've heard of these things like trauma being passed down and blah blah blah i'm like whatever but now i'm experiencing it like okay this shit's real
Starting point is 00:59:57 right and then i sat there and purged for like two and a half hours to clear my line of traumas and and then also myself and facing some things I faced on deployment that I that I was stuck with that I that I just can't make sense of and get around and then I'm facing that and facing you know the mistakes I've made in life and all the things that have weighed on me you know throughout my life at that point it's like ayahuasca is gonna just like this jaguar just felt like it came into me and i'm just and it's like we're gonna find it we're gonna move it you're gonna purge you know and it's like you're not purging it it's energy right like you think
Starting point is 01:00:35 you're purging like this big bucket there's nothing in it yeah right but your body is feeling lighter so so in short that that was my ayahuasca experience. And there were some other God moments in there as well, where God just comes to you. And I'll just say it like it was getting really hard at a point. And I remember them saying, well, if it gets really hard, just ask to slow down. So I'm like, will you just slow down? Like like i really need a break here and bam it's like it's gone and i'm sober and i'm not in this medicine anymore and then about 15 minutes later it comes right back to you right but during this whole time ayahuasca that presence of god was just always felt like above me right like i'm just laying down i'm looking up and god's like right there
Starting point is 01:01:25 is that comfort right and no matter where i would go in these in in the plant medicine journey it's just interesting that was always there yeah beautiful brother talk a bit about uh you know what what what what was um what drew you to want to do the Red Road Path, the Vision Quest Path? Man, the Vision Quest. So, well, actually, here on the farm, right, we've had some sweats. And I remember our sister Wyra coming, right, and doing some sweats here. When I first met her and her partner, Capture. And I remember, like, man, I was scared because I had
Starting point is 01:02:07 a lung injury. And I'm like, man, I don't know if I can sit in that heat. Like, I don't know if I'm going to be able to breathe and had this fear. And Wyra was like, no, no, no, just come sit in there, sit by the door. You know, and Wyra came here, did a sweat, and we went in there and it was freaking hard. Like it was hard. and then she's like hey i'm gonna do a sweat tomorrow come back and i'm like oh man but i don't know why i just agreed to it like absolutely it just felt right right and really resonated with wyra um and man she's such a beautiful singer and and and runs that ceremony extremely well. And I remember going into the second door, because there's four doors during these sweats and the team of skull.
Starting point is 01:02:51 And I was just hurting. And then I feel that presence of God and he's like, sit up. And I'm like, okay. He like heard you and sat up. And I was like, man, I felt just that presence and the way I felt in that sweat I'm like I feel amazing like like I feel strong as shit and I feel like man I there is something about this I don't know what it's doing right now but it's doing something inside of my body and it felt just purifying and it felt like just love kind of coming up from the
Starting point is 01:03:27 earth and wrapping itself around you and and then it didn't become as hard anymore don't get it wrong I mean it's hot it's hot as shit like I mean you got to get through it but I just that's the strongest I've ever felt prior to that deployment right and I just felt like this that little warrior spirit like trying to poke its head back out and go hey buddy I'm still here like you know but in a different way in a different way and I came out of that and I remember capture is like it's like have you ever thought about you know he mentioned vision quest and this and that and why I said the same thing and I'm like no what's that you know and and just really had a connection with them and the more we did sweats and the more i learned about vision quest i'm like i need to do this
Starting point is 01:04:15 you know and and at the time i didn't even really know what it entailed all right i'm like okay you kind of go sit on the side of a mountain or in the woods somewhere and, like, you just don't eat or drink water for four days and see what happens. You know? I became more educated along the way. There's a lot more that happens. So I was thinking about actually flying down to Ecuador or Guadalajara because they do them there. And it was just hard because the timing wasn't lining up you know with with we're starting the new manufacturing site here for the coffee company
Starting point is 01:04:50 and I can't really break away we have you know beautiful partner Jenna we have a new baby Cataleya like a you know um we can talk about later if you want if we have time and um and then ken comes fast forward i meet ken conte and and ken comes here and we do a sweat i think at that time it was with prongy you know and at this time the bobby kennedy one the bobby kennedy awesome all right guys last break for the day i want to tell you about organifi organifi.com slash kkp has been one of the longest running show sponsors, and they've co-created an amazing product with the homies at Mind Pump Media. And I got to do more sweats and I got to fire keep and start to learn about this tradition and these cultures and what it really entails.
Starting point is 01:06:51 And then Bobby Kennedy comes here. There's a whole thing here at the farm. Amazing, amazing guy. I mean, Bobby Kennedy is just amazing. Perangi is just amazing. And that's where I met Ken. And then just talking with Ken, you know, I just built this relationship and it's like, yeah, we do Vision Quest as well, you know, in Colorado and this and that. And he didn't try to pull me away from anything. And, and I just had this knowing with Ken, I was like, man, I feel like I've known this guy forever. And it just really resonated with me. And, and, and you know, Ken and anybody who ever meets Ken, man, super chill, super relaxed. And Ken's, but he doesn't bullshit you either.
Starting point is 01:07:29 He just kind of tells you, you know, how it is in such a calm demeanor, he has. And then I just started calling Ken. I'm like, hey, well, when's your vision quest? You know, up there, you know, I could probably make that one a lot easier than flying all the country. And we started building this relationship and then the farm came up and he is like,
Starting point is 01:07:50 I would be willing to come down there. And he's like, we don't do this very often, but we can come to you. It feels right with, you know, he visited the land, what's happening here on the land and the regeneration we're doing, you know, you're, you guys are here and all things. And it felt right. So long story short, then we scheduled the vision quest. And I started prepping my body. And I started prepping about six, seven months prior, you know, of all the things I think I need to do. And working with Ken to prepare for those four days, no food, no water. And some crazy stuff started happening the last month
Starting point is 01:08:27 prior to the vision quest, and I've shared a lot with you with the animals, and we can get into all that if you'd like. But that's what drew me to the vision quest and the more I researched in what is the vision quest, what is the purpose of this thing, you know, for the individual and the rites of passage you know and and that so yeah i've been i've been super drawn to it too just from the fact that um well in part the the first time i did breath work with anahata i remember thinking like this
Starting point is 01:08:57 could be a useful tool for people who don't want to use plant medicines you know and so and i really thought of it as just that you know like this is cool if you can't do the real thing you can use breath and get part of the way there and i really for sure i really thought of it in that way and then did the breath work at a full-on fucking psychedelic experience and i was like wow did i underestimate that yeah and um you know since then obviously i've done many many breathwork journeys, but Aubrey and Godsey and Aaron Alexander and Aaron Rogers, lots of our friends have gone to do darkness retreats. And darkness, you know, oddly enough, I think with some of the health spaces I've been in, the loops that I've been in, that actually scares me more than going without food or water. But my boxing coach, Weetzie, who got me into plant medicines and, you know, worked with us for two years before bringing in any plants exclusively with the sweat lodge. He always told me, you know, the real deal is the no food, no water for four days.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Because that's the real deal. And he's like, yo, you're going to do it. When you're ready, let me know. And unfortunately, he's passed on. But it's not unfortunate because that dude's like in every one of my journeys yeah um his spirit will be to be on this land when i do it next year but um that that that called to me in a way where it was like i have enough respect and reverence to know how challenging something like ayahuasca can be for the week you know you're gonna sit four nights and eight days like buckle up right like it's not something i do often it's
Starting point is 01:10:24 something i used to do more often but now these days it might be once every couple of years. Sure. Um, I might have one big plant medicine journey a year. I'm going to have one coming up here. Um, which I'll probably solo cast about, uh, the end, you know, but I just thinking about that. I've always wanted tools for people because as I beat the drum early on, a lot of people were saying, well, that's just another drug. Especially if people come from an Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, they don't want to touch another substance, even though it's the furthest thing from an addictive substance. They just don't want to work that way and so i really have been paying attention to this in particular the vision quest not only because it offers another angle but because it truly is one of the oldest modalities right right and when it comes to rites of passage and things for young men young boys becoming men
Starting point is 01:11:18 like that is the one and it is legal everywhere on planet earth, you know, to have a journey like that. And having, you know, my first born bear, um, is now nine years old and we're talking more and more about these things. He got to sit in for the sweat, uh, for, for your opening ceremony for the vision quest and has had a lot of questions, you know, and is very interested in that, you know, for when it comes to the right age. So, but as with anything, I would never recommend it without having done it first myself. Right. So like I've had a big draw towards that.
Starting point is 01:11:49 And I'm curious, you know, because breathwork is a different experience than ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is a different experience than psilocybin. Psilocybin is different than MDMA. They're all unique in their own way and they each have their own place at the table. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Yeah, I've've listened i've read you could read about stuff like that and dr wolf tagel's book walking with bears and many others you know lame deer seeker of visions speaks about the vision quest but talk about your experience on the land you know i mean you had you had a lot of experience we were we're we're not short we're not we're not going too long here you know but i mean you had a ton of bird action like tons of fucking birds the whole month long everywhere you were there were birds birds at your house birds on your fucking car birds everywhere hundreds of flocking to you hundreds of hundreds of it became kind of silly you know
Starting point is 01:12:37 you just send me pictures and i was like dude that bird medicine is calling you to you in a way that i've never seen before it was crazy yeah. Yeah, I'd send you pictures. Jen's taking video. We'd have like 100, 200 birds land in our backyard and on our house. And I'm going outside like, what the heck's going on? They're just at our house. I'm having hawks fly over me down at our building. Here, wherever I go, there's birds.
Starting point is 01:12:58 And there's not just one. There's tons of birds. So all these birds are just flocking to me. And I'm calling Ken too. And I'm like, hey, man, these hawks, not eagles, are just coming around all the time. And Ken's like, you'll see. Like, thanks, Ken. You know, but no.
Starting point is 01:13:15 I get why Ken. He doesn't want to lead you into anything, right? And kind of let it organically happen. So, yeah, we can fast forward. We get into the Vision Quest. Just a beautiful moment. I love Ken for this because in having the kids there was so emotional and in a good way
Starting point is 01:13:34 because they were included in it, right? They got to witness it. They got to sit in a couple songs in the sweat with us and be part of it and just experience this and i'm forever grateful to ken so i'll put out there love you good for doing that and and it's just amazing so i'll fast forward so day one we sit in the sweat we're going out you guys go out there place me in my spot it's like a seven by seven we have these prayer flags that I've been tying forever. 400 prayer flags that you tie, your hands get very sore.
Starting point is 01:14:11 But you put intention and prayers in each one of them. And, you know, you guys enclose me in the prayer flags. And there I am. I got my sleeping mat and that. And that's where I'm going to be for four days. No food, no water. And at first, you know, I'm getting out there and I'm just like okay this is kind of like camping in the woods like this is fun right and the first day nothing too crazy happened except in the night so when it got
Starting point is 01:14:36 dark we're at a full moon and and I start to see we have massive big red stag here on the property and I see them starting to move in and i'm like holy shit like do they not see me like what are they doing and that was the only time i got a little nervous so i have like the little mummy sleeping bag and i like zit my head up and lean back and i'm like are these things gonna walk through like right on top of me and i could hear this massive stag behind me breathing. And I'm like, holy fuck. Like this thing is like, sounds like a couple feet behind me.
Starting point is 01:15:10 And I hear his foot just hit the ground like, oh man. In the deer world, usually that's like, hey, I'm warning you. But I didn't feel that. I felt like he was there to like, hey, I know you're here. Like, you know, we're just kind of checking on you. It's really weird, right? So we're just kind of checking on you. It's really weird, right? So I actually get pretty good sleep that night. And then the next night or the next day was one of the most profound days of my life. And before I get into it, I just want to say out
Starting point is 01:15:37 of all the psychedelics I've done and the path that I've walked with medicines, the vision quest, it is it. It is by far the medicine. And you are the medicine, right? And the earth and the land and spirit and God, right? It just, it tops them all for me, for me. So I get into the next morning, I wake up and i sit up and we have antelope and black box here and there's the big one he's really dark has like a white circle around his eye he's behind me and i see him like 30 yards away and he's just standing there
Starting point is 01:16:17 looking at me and he's not like scared i'm like this is super weird because usually they're pretty skittish and then all of a sudden there's a little black buck and he starts running in a circle around me. And I'm like, what the fuck is happening? Like, what is this thing doing? Like, why is he running around me? And like, there's other black buck and there's a bunch of antelope and they're kind of gathering around that black buck and this little one's running around me. And I'm like, what is something I could feel something happening, but I didn't know really what was about to happen right I could just feel this energy and I didn't feel threatened at all I felt like they knew these animals know what's going on way more than I know what's going on and at that time here comes a hawk and he flies right over me
Starting point is 01:17:01 then another hawk trails them so two haw, like right above the treetops, maybe, what, 20 feet up to the top of those trees? Not real far. And I'm like, oh, shit, the birds are back. And then the bucks and these deer are starting to do it. They're just starting to close in on me, right? And then eventually they just kind of walk off, right? And then at that point in time, and I remember Ken saying to me, he goes, you're pretty
Starting point is 01:17:27 aware, but be aware like when you start to go into spirit, you know, like for me, you start to kind of come what it may feel like to come out of the body, right? Or start to go to spirit because it's going to happen. And at that point in time, I could feel like me start to kind of come out of my body a little bit. And I go into this, this easy way to explain it. Like if you lucid dream or if you've had lucid dreams, it's kind of like that, but not like that, right? You, you start to go into it's the vision state I was going into, but so different. I just hadn't experienced it before.
Starting point is 01:17:59 And when I, when I started going into that man, that presence of God, bud, like that presence of God is overwhelming for me is in a good way, in a good way. And it just snapped me back to like my deployment days. And like I said, there was an instance in this deployment where there was some loss of life. And man, I have always got stuck there. And that's where I got, going back years prior, I got mad at God because I didn't understand. I just didn't understand it, right? Of how these things could happen or, or am I doing the right thing? You know? So I just go into this, I'm starting to come out of my body, feel the presence of God.
Starting point is 01:18:35 And I go into this massive prayer of forgiveness. I don't even know why I just like instinctively, like I'm going to pray for forgiveness. If I've ever hurt anybody, done anything wrong, and forgive those who may have done anything. Massive prayer of forgiveness. And have this conversation with God, and then he takes me back to this deployment day, and I'm like, imagine kicking through a door, and there's supposed to be bad guys on the other door, right? Well, I kick through this first door, and I see myself. And I'm like, what the fuck? I'm like, that's not a bad guy. And I'm not getting it yet, right? So I kick through another door, and then I see myself. And I'm like, what the fuck? Like, that's not a bad guy. And I'm not getting it yet, right? So I kicked through another door and then I see myself again. And I do
Starting point is 01:19:10 this about a thousand times is what it feels like. And I kicked through that last door and I see my heart just, if you could imagine your heart just exploding into a million pieces. I see this happen and I see this piece of my heart that I just lost back then of when that just changed my life in such a profound way that I just couldn't come to grips with it in reality and what it all means. So as that happens and I see my heart exploding in a million pieces, I see this just that one piece I'm focused on. Now I start to kind of come back in my body and here comes this hawk. And I'm not in a vision state at this point, like a real hawk crashes literally a foot away from me. I'm sitting next to these white prayer flags and here's this hawk, beautiful thing, crashes in the bush. And I'm like, what the fuck? Like, is this thing going to come through? Like what is happening? It happens so fast, right?
Starting point is 01:20:07 And he turns his head and looks at me, and he's starting to fly off again. I could see these massive wings, and I'm like, what the fuck's happening? And I see these claws, these giant claws. These things are massive, right? They look a little up there. Incredible talons, yeah. They're massive. Somehow we're just communicating, right?
Starting point is 01:20:24 Not talking. I'm just communicating. I'm just communicating, right? Not talking. I'm just communicating. When this thing is looking at me in the eyes, I'm looking at this hawk, and he just grabs these prayers of forgiveness, and he starts flying away. And he's still looking back at me, and I'm like, no, look forward. You're going to hit a tree. I'm like, do a thing, and then I feel this thud in my chest, and I'm like, what the heck is happening?
Starting point is 01:20:43 And then I feel God come in and go, there you go. Now you're whole again. And it was such a beautiful experience. It's hard to explain that presence of God and that feeling. And at that same time, right, I kind of take a break for a little bit and I'm getting really thirsty, right? And I'm hurting. It's getting towards the end of the day, and I'm praying to God like, hey, I'm thirsty. Like, I feel like I'm dying here, right? And we're just getting into the end of day two.
Starting point is 01:21:19 And I start to pray to God. I'm praying for rain. I'm praying for rain. I'm praying for everything. And he's like, Jimmy. And he's like, I've always answered your prayers. And I'm like, but I'm thirsty. I'm thirsty. And I look up and there's that big red stag buck and a mama.
Starting point is 01:21:39 And I could see the edge of the pond and it drinks water. And he looks up at me. And it's like, what, maybe 100 yards, a little more away. Drinks water, and God's like, Jimmy, I'm answering your prayer. And he drinks water, and my thirst goes away. And then it starts to click, right? And I can think back where Ken was like, you know, he said, Hey, when we drink water these next four days, I want you to think of Jimmy. When you eat food, I want you to consciously think of Jimmy.
Starting point is 01:22:08 And here I am out in the middle of the land here, and I'm watching this massive, beautiful animal drink water. Directly look at me. We're connecting. Drink water. My thirst goes away. And then it's like unity hits. And I start to experience for me the unity in all things, right? It starts to come together for me. I'm starting to understand this
Starting point is 01:22:32 more. And I'm at a place and point where it's like, man, we're so connected. I've never been this connected to the land and the earth and these animals. And it's like this veil was lifted off of me. And like, now these animals truly see me and I truly see them and we're connecting. And all things are connected through God. And I know God's in everything, right? Like I know God's in me, God's in you, God's in that plate of grass, God's in that animal, but now I'm emotionally experiencing it. So it's a whole lot different from a knowing to, I have the knowing, but now I'm emotionally experiencing it. So it's a whole lot different from a knowing to, I have the knowing, but now I'm emotionally experiencing it. I'm connected directly with these animals that are around me.
Starting point is 01:23:12 Every time I pray throughout the next four days, those animals go over and drink water. Every morning I wake up and at night, they come and circle around me. And it's like these things were, these animals, these massive stag were protecting me in the way that they were and helping me through it. Right?
Starting point is 01:23:29 They knew what was going on. And that hawk flew over me every single day. Right? There wasn't a day that hawk didn't fly over me. And it was just a profound experience. And if we have time, I'll tell you about where the mind started playing tricks on me on the third day. I love this. Yeah. We do have time i'll tell you about where the mind started playing tricks on me on the third day i love this yeah because we do have time okay this is this is fucking great because so far so far you've said some fucking incredibly powerful and emotional things that have had me well up and uh and you know i'm very excited to experience that you know what i can't experience
Starting point is 01:24:03 in my own way and there's another side of the coin, right? So this is great. You can't leave without talking about the other side of the coin here. Yeah. It's incredible that, you know, that you could experience unity at a level where your thirst actually goes away. Yeah. While this thing is staring at the champion is the champion. Right.
Starting point is 01:24:21 He looks like something, I joke and say he's like Harry Potter'ster's patronus uh-huh right he is a phenomenal being he is the the king of the land there's no way about it no no two ways about it he's that powerful of a being that beautiful of a being and he has that he's the connection point right antlers are the connection the rack is the connection to spirit yeah um but yeah so let so let's talk about the other part here because this fucking cracked me up when you were talking. Man, so I go into the third day and I'm starting to, and I had three other visions during it. We can get to that in another podcast, but I think that was the most profound one.
Starting point is 01:24:58 And then, yeah, it's important to talk about, like the mind will play tricks on you. Your mind will go in a thousand different directions if you let it. Right. And the third day I really like I'm hurting, like I'm physically hurting and I'm mentally exhausted. And and I'm just you have to dig deep for courage. Like you have to face the fear. Like any time fears in front of me, I would just face it. And my faith would lead me to really grab that courage and get through it. But at that point, I have the will and the courage,
Starting point is 01:25:37 and I'm trying to work through this thing, and I'm freaking like, I'm thirsty as shit. I'm like, there's a pond right over there. I know where all the water sources are on this land. And I'm like, and I could just, I knew what my brain was doing. And it was like, hey, Jimmy, you can go drink that water, right? Or you can just sneak, just walk out of here and walk up there and get some water. They're not going to see you and come back down, right?
Starting point is 01:26:05 So I'm like, at this point, like, I'm like, I'm going gonna disassociate and watch my brain play this little let it play the thing out i'm not gonna try to fight what it's trying to do right because trying to get me to quit right so it's just freaking hilarious so i planned 29 missions in my head of i'm gonna low crawl out of here and go into the pond and sip water and come back and nobody will ever know. Right. And my brain's just playing this trickster thing on me. And by the way, the coyotes are going nuts that night. Like they're just freaking going nuts.
Starting point is 01:26:39 Right. So I plan these missions and every time I get to the end of the mission, I'm like, but then me coming back into my brain, having the conversation going, well, you can't really walk. You don't have the energy to get there. Like, it's not going to happen. And then I'm like, plus, I'm just not going to do that. Right. It's just not in my makeup.
Starting point is 01:26:58 But then I plan these other missions and I'm like, well, and it's so funny because I'm like, I know where they're at right now, tending the fire and all that. And it's a ways away from where I'm at. I'm like, they're probably sleeping. I can sneak over there, grab their little, little cup of ice water and have a drink, put it back. They won't know and come back. And I just like let my brain do this thing and didn't fight it.
Starting point is 01:27:25 And that same conclusion at the end of it, well, I'm not that right i'm gonna get through this and the other thing is just funny shit because if you try for me if i try to fight that then i'll just give in right it's an easy it's like an easy out for you right it's trying to get you to quit and and and let that fear set into you of you're gonna die jimmy if you don't get water, you're going to die. And that voice is there, right, trying to tell you. And you're hurting, but I'm like, I'm not going to die out here today. No. We finished all four days, came and got you, walked you back,
Starting point is 01:27:58 finished with the sweat, the second half of the sweat. They do two doors to open, leave it open, two doors to close. And that was so powerful and beautiful too, getting to have everyone in there again. And you're watching you drink your first cup of water, which was hilarious because I was like, he's going fast, man. I think he's going to spew. I almost did. You were doing small, you were doing small gulps, like you're being respectful, but the amount of small gulps you were doing, and I was like, this pace, is that a pace?
Starting point is 01:28:29 I don't, I wouldn't remember this pace. I'm just smirking there in the sweat thinking like, oh man. Yeah. Yeah. And then we got to share that first meal with you. Oh man. Which was so, so beautiful. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:41 I've never, I've done two five-day water fasts and by day three, it's no big deal. You know, you're in ketosis. Aaron Rodgers talked about that on Tucker Carlson's. He's done like a seven or 10-day water fast because once you get to day three, it's no big deal. Right. But the water factor is a fucking completely different animal, just a completely different animal. It is the hardest thing I've ever known. The hardest thing and the best thing I've ever done. And I was talking about, I can't explain to you what it's changed
Starting point is 01:29:11 in my body. You probably have a little more insight of what's going on, you know, because I've been sharing with you with my body. It has profoundly changed my thinking in a good way. Profoundly changed just how my body feels, right? I could never, like, I struggle to eat in the mornings, right? Struggle with sleep. I don't anymore, right? I wake up, I'm hungry. Nine o'clock rolls around, I'm getting tired, right?
Starting point is 01:29:42 To where I was up till two, three in the morning, couldn't sleep. So there's so many physical things changing in my body. Still to right now, I'm still integrating this whole process. And thanks to Ken because Ken is there with me the whole way for integration. He's a very, very good support as well as you and Eric and everybody here in this farm family. I'm very thankful for. It's such a blessing to have the support from all of you um but it it will change it will change your life and it will change your body and and everything and it's hard
Starting point is 01:30:15 to articulate right now but it changes you and the way that i see these animals now um and i think you've had some experiences afterwards if if you want to hit on that real quick of what has happened with the land and the animals and and everything it's the most beautiful thing i've ever done and in the hardest thing i've ever done and i have three more years of this and then eventually i'll get to that sundance and i'm excited i don't know if i'm in for the sundance but i'm definitely in for the four years of vision Quest. And who knows? I mean, I just have so much respect for the Sundance, but also one thing at a time. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:52 No food, no water for four days. And yeah, we'll be doing more stuff with Chase Iron Eyes, who we got to meet out here for Bobby's event. Just a phenomenal guy who's been on the podcast. Look at what an elder and beautiful human. So it's been amazing to be connected with so many great people and, and elders and people that have the experience that they do, that they can, they can share their medicine with us. And I feel truly blessed and,
Starting point is 01:31:14 and we're blessed to have you here. And then, yeah, briefly, you know, we'll wrap things up, but briefly, uh, we walk the dogs every day. And since your sit on the land and the vision quest, the animals are far less skittish i mean fucking way less we had a uh we got five great pyrenees on a leash and my little shit dog guapo was 18 pounds half chihuahua shih tzu he's the only one running off leash yeah and so he always jogs up ahead when we get about three quarters of the way through because he knows where we're going we're going home and um he's maybe 20 25 yards ahead of us and i see some black buck and they're not moving
Starting point is 01:31:50 they're they'll they'll late before they'd see us walking by they'd be laying down napping and they'd get up and move yeah right they'd go out of sight now they're not even they won't even stand up they look at us and watch us but they won won't leave. They just know like, I don't need to fucking leave. And it's like, it's the weirdest feeling. But one ran up to the little dog, Wapo, and jumped in the air. I thought she was going to smash him. She jumps, but lands by his side and just smells him. And I'm yelling, get your ass back here.
Starting point is 01:32:18 I thought he was going to get field goal stomped, you know, kicked by this female black buck. But she was just curious. I was like, this is fucking bizarro world right now. And, you know, I've never literally and figuratively never felt closer or had been closer to these animals than I have since your vision quest. The proximity at which they'll let me approach them has changed dramatically.
Starting point is 01:32:42 I can get within 10 yards of these animals without spooking them and um yeah you know for for people curious they are going to be food you know that that's a part of well that's where they're going to end up is in our bellies uh and they're you know the remains that we don't eat will go back to the land and go back to the vultures and the coyotes and will help to regenerate this place um but it doesn't come without love and it doesn't come without them first living beautiful lives here that do regenerate and, and, uh, and all play a part of the concert of our sacred hoop that happens here at Gardner's Veeden. So, uh, it's been
Starting point is 01:33:16 phenomenal having you on brother. I truly love you and, um, love, love the ability, you know, the proximity that we have getting to see each other getting to play pickleball getting to do all the things um i'm stoked you know you've been building out a big part that you've been really hustling on is getting your business built out for three rivers coffee where can people uh order some awesome coffee you know and get a hold of you online sure yeah three rivers coffee company dot com um you can order online and we'll ship that coffee right to your doorstep and then between uh to south of Lockhart we're opening our bigger manufacturing site so you'll be able to pop in there in the next month or two and grab some coffee too or we can ship a ride to you awesome brother awesome yeah well I love you Jimmy thank you brother I love you too thanks for
Starting point is 01:34:01 having me
