Starting point is 00:00:41 Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here. Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Lady Gang. I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Hello. Hello.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Are you feeling warm and fuzzy and ready to talk shit about celebrities? Yes, I am. Warm and fuzzy. Can't wait. Favorite pastime? This, I think, we already recorded the episode, just so you guys know. We just got off with Dax. that i think is going to be one of the most exciting episodes for our listeners to hear because we've never really gotten into the nitty-gritty of how hollywood works like tmz
Starting point is 00:01:32 world yeah they they get excited when they find out that like people call paparazzi on themselves and that is just the tip of the iceberg it is a it is a full blown i feel like politics i feel like we need to have him back on just to discuss like not even discuss current events but or current events whatever but like to to get into like the logistics of it all because it is so fascinating and you just never know what's going on underneath the surface in our workings it's crazy it really is crazy all right well i won't waste any time let's get to it it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no um who would like to go first i'll go okay um so my good week is my wedding update um well you know i've just been going all over the place jared and i have
Starting point is 00:02:25 been engaged for over a year now our engagementversary was october 14th and we've really crazy i know we've really gotten nowhere that long gotten nowhere in the past year i mean granted i was busy i didn't think i was gonna do anything this year anyways because we had so much going on and the world was like getting back to normal so I was like I'm just gonna I'm in no rush whatever so anyways after going like all over the place thinking of where the we're gonna get married and trying to look into budgeting and all that kind of stuff I have settled on a French Sateau wedding I have not chosen it yet but I have finally done the research we've been home from tour I've had the time so I finally narrowed it down to about 10 and I'm booking a trip for me
Starting point is 00:03:13 and my mom to go to France in December and visit them. So that is where I'm at. And I'm very excited about like getting somewhere. I love it. And I'm excited because when Jared and I went to, we went to the South of France, Provence and Nice in July. And I truly, truly fell in love so much, like more so than anywhere I've been in the entire world, like maybe not Tokyo, but like other than tokyo was like my favorite place that i've ever been and i felt like a connection to it so i feel like this it feels like the right thing um european weddings are so much cheaper than trying to get married in the states but um i'm so excited i think it'll be fun so keep september next year open bitches keep what open september of next year open so i love this
Starting point is 00:04:06 because it does suit the dress style you're going after yeah yeah i'm really into it and i'm finding some new wedding dress designers too I just found one that I'm like obsessed with so I'm excited I didn't purchase a dress because I'm sure my style has changed by then so I'm excited we've got my first step wow this is exciting now just narrow down that venue get your date going and it's off to the races off to the races okay so that's my good week my bad week is so I've talked to you guys about this. I mentioned it, uh, while we were on tour and, um, my bad week is that we are officially really old because now the younger generation is referring to anybody that was born in, uh, the 1990s, 1980s as born in the late 1900s. So they're referring to anything before
Starting point is 00:05:04 the year 2000 as the late 1900s and i'm like nothing makes me feel more like i am in the renaissance period than having my youth referred to as the late 1900s so that is my past score in eight wilds ago she was born in the late 1900s and that's yeah that is like so accurate is it turn of the century too i mean yeah until the year 2000 yeah it's a new century wow so we really kind of got i feel like with our birth years because it because it is now an entire century different you know even though we're not we're not that different i'm wearing the same clothes as a gen z-er but like i am officially like in a different century and that that really really hurts remember when the year 2000 was coming and we all thought the computers would
Starting point is 00:05:55 crash yeah we thought we would die yeah everything was so weird we genuinely were afraid yes it was just like people were like we got to take some cash out because the banks aren't gonna work oh my god yeah i remember we like i was on the beach we did like the like new year's eve on the beach and we're like if the world ends it's just in the tidal wave comes or like whatever we're like at least we're here together it's weird nothing happened well we're old um actually my good week has to do with us being old so i now know a term that gen z is using to protect us from commodities being stolen from us on the internet those commodities are our feet gen z does not take pictures and post them on the internet of their feet in sandals because they
Starting point is 00:06:42 say hide your dogs aka toes because they know like we know from wiki feet people use pictures of our toes and our feet similarly to they to our breasts wow so gen z your dogs hide your dogs hide your dogs so is it like hot dogs because they look like little mini hot dogs or just i think so like i have i have also seen um gabby from the bachelorette she was one of the two bachelorettes from last season she posted some picture of her like dancing and like put a little sticker over her toes i'm like people are like they're getting smart to not showing the the little toes and i have always felt weird if my toes are in a picture not necessarily in a in a heel like if i'm in like a sandal or like a heel, rub my toes out. But I really don't like it when I see like a bare foot,
Starting point is 00:07:34 if you're like hanging on the couch and there's like an, and it's an Instagram photo and it's your foot. I don't know why you should wear socks 24 seven or a slipper. Yeah. I just, why would you even be barefoot around? There's a lot of people who prefer barefoot. There are prefer barefoot. Yeah. There's some etiquette book that says if you're hosting a party at your house, a true lady is barefoot because it invites people in to feel comfortable in there in her home. That's weird. Isn't that crazy? I love a barefoot. Um, I have decided that I really am going to start a feet finder cause I want to see how much money I can make off my feet. I think you may regret that when you have children. No, but it's only your feet.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Yeah. But it's still weird. Like I would be mortified if I found out that my mother was selling pictures of her feet on the internet. Yeah. But what if I was making like $50,000 a month and i can pay for extravagant trips for my make a deal with the devil make a deal with the devil let us know how it goes jack let us know how i will um no shade to anybody doing it i just i think i put myself in other people's shoes pun intended and i wouldn't be stoked to know that although there's plenty of things my kid's going to be horrified about me before i'm just don't want to add anything that i've voluntarily done you know what i mean yeah um okay so my bad week is there's a tick tock account with a mother who, um, and listen, I don't like to mommy shame. It
Starting point is 00:08:58 just, it made me feel some type of way. There is a thing now where people are giving their children super late, like babies really late bedtimes. And there's a woman on tick tock who her baby goes to bed at 1am and she does these like these like evening tick tocks of like our night together and she'll like be putting the kid in the car in the car seat to go to the grocery store at like nine o'clock at night they'll come home and make dinner at like 10 o'clock at night they'll watch cartoons from like 10 p.m to 10 30 it's a whole thing and i i don't understand it i i guess it's like the whole theory of make your kid schedule like your own or like get your kid a comedy i go to bed at 7 30 so right but i i don't know what it was but i just had so much anxiety watching it
Starting point is 00:09:50 and it keeps coming up on my algorithm this woman's nightly routine with her baby and i just i need someone to explain the logic i'm sure i could go down a rabbit hole in the comments but i don't want to spend any more time there because it'll keep coming up so what is the point of this 1 a.m. bedtime for a baby. That is really weird. I feel like it's got to be bad if you're like circadian rhythm when your like brain is growing. I like a baby in bed at six. Yeah. Weird. I'm just for go to bed. Uh, he's asleep by 7. I love it. God, that sounds so nice. Yeah. All right. Well, my good week is this. I went to an event and I met a girl named Paige and Paige was lovely and She's a longtime Lady Gang listener.
Starting point is 00:10:36 And she said to me, is this going to be your good week? Like meeting page. And I was like, yeah, it is. It is. You know what, Paige? You're a fucking delight. You're a lovely lady. She knew all about the Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:10:50 She was a really big fan. She asked me lots of questions. And I just, I'm going to do this now. If you want to come up to me and you want to say something nice to me and give me a compliment and tell me your name, you can be my good week. I'm giving this shit away for free now on Lady Gang. So I'll see you at HomeGoods. except for no no no there needs to be a caveat they need to like give you like it needs they need to say something weird to you or like give you a very specific compliment or something like
Starting point is 00:11:14 something no it has to be inside baseball like they have had to listen to the latest episode and know hey kelty i agree with you everyone should always be wearing socks like that would be instant i see that you're a real yeah like they have a nugget they've listened page you're Lovely. Congratulations. You're my good week. Bad week. So there's a Starbucks on Highland and like close to Melrose. It's a tiny little Starbucks. It used to be a gas station. I've taken you guys there before. And it's basically just a drive through Starbucks. And I don't often go like when I'm not traveling, go to the Starbucks. I headed somewhere. I really wanted to stop for coffee. So I pulled into the Starbucks and I, this has to do with a line. So help me God.
Starting point is 00:11:58 i know exactly where this is going it's a starbucks where it's wrapped around the it's always wrapped okay all right here it is just warning you sconce i'm gonna be so fast i already do now too so there's a line to go in and i went in the line and sat there and then took a conference call and was on the call for like 25 or 35 minutes and i was like god this line is not moving. I was parked behind a park car. It was only one lane. There was a car parked in the parking lot and I went here and the other line was here. And I was like, what is happening? And I was like, so into the call and like pitching shit. And like, you know, I didn't realize the car wasn't moving. And so then I was like, I'm a idiot. Anyway, I'm an idiot. When you come back,

All right, guys. Today is one of our favorite episodes of the year. It's our look back at all the things that happened in Hollywood. And we are joined by a very familiar face to this space. Dax Holt is here.
Starting point is 00:15:24 He, you recognize him because for like your entire life, He was on TMZ giving you all of the zhuzh, and he has decided to break off and started his own very popular Hollywood Raw podcast, which I have been a guest on, and has been breaking news the way only he can all over the place. He also has another podcast called PodSauce, which is about podcasting. It's like the TMZ of podcasting, which I feel like we haven't been featured on, but I'm ready for that. He's a two-time Emmy-nominated host, and the second thing that comes up when you Google him is Dax Holt Wife. So that means he's hot and people want to marry him. Please welcome to the podcast, Dax Holt. Thanks.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Well, quite the introduction. I do like that. Thank you. I mean, I was like loving that when I was like looking up all your, I didn't want to miss anything. And, and, and, and I was like, damn, people want to marry him. Yeah. Dax Holt feet or something.
Starting point is 00:16:16 So I guess wife is a good step up. How long have you been married? Oh, geez. We met back in high school. So, um, we've been married 14 years at this point, but like together, I don't know, 20 or something. Oh my God. But she knew you before your fame.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Oh, she knew me back when I was wearing like Birkenstocks and looking like I was straight out of Colorado. Hey, you know, I don't say anything bad about Birkenstocks. They're cool. I'm still wearing them. It is true. It is true. So we have had a very busy year and so have the celebrities in Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:16:53 So I wrote down some of my favorite things that happened this year. And I know you know everything. And I want to know like how you know everything. But let's begin with some of the big stories. I want to take us all the way back to awards season this year. If you remember, this is the year that the Chris Rock slap happened at the Oscars. I feel like that was 100 years ago, but it literally happened this year. I can't believe it was this year.
Starting point is 00:17:16 and i would say that was the number one news story of the entire year right there that happened so early in the year i just remember sitting there watching the show and going no this is a skit like how long did it take before people realized that it wasn't a skit and this was real life right i'm still convinced it was a skit because we heard the conspiracy theory about jada getting being up for a big alopecia big pharma deal oh my god i forgot about this conspiracy it's my favorite conspiracy i've ever heard and it's bringing so it brought a lot of awareness to the alopecia because obviously he it was so fucked up for him to joke about her hair um and i i believe that i don't know who was in on it but i guarantee we're gonna see jada as the face of
Starting point is 00:18:13 some new big pharma alopecia drug yeah but for him getting banned from the oscars for the next however many years not worth it so that she could be a rep nobody cares about the oscars anyways i think it might have been worth it yeah award shows if you've already been you realize that they are mostly terrible so he's like great i don't want to have to go to the oscars again and you know what they're getting that big pharma money it's like that's bigger than any movie role you could get so he probably doesn't give us a man who makes 20 million dollars a movie guys i know pharma's big money for us when they come knocking with a boat for 30 dollars but that is not pfizer money that's exactly what jack just said and she's right big pharma has way more
Starting point is 00:18:58 money than hollywood right i don't know i i i think that this hurt will's career so much he would not sign on to do a publicity stunt this big i mean it helped chris rock's career i think he i i mean i've seen numerous stand-ups since then where he mentions it he brings it up so i think he's definitely taken advantage of this but man if this if this was a pr stunt it was a bad choice on will's part we just love a conspiracy theory so we lean that way even if it's like very far-fetched you know he's gonna do a sit down and it's gonna be so heartfelt and he's gonna be like I get protective of my wife and every single person out there is going to be like, I get it, man. I get it. Like, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Jada could be crying every
Starting point is 00:19:41 day about this and you're protecting her. And then everybody's going to be like, we forgive you because forgiveness is what it's all about. And then big pharma boom. And then you're going to get another movie. And then the Oscars are going to be like, we believe in forgiveness too. And then everything's going to go back to normal. Just like it does in Hollywood. Yeah. Nature is healing you know i will say um and and at this point right now this may change right now the screen actors guild awards do not have a tv home so the golden gloves are back on tv this year i mean it's like what when are we getting an award and then the oscars and the grammys right so it's like i think the oscars can't really um ban someone for this many years who actually brings
Starting point is 00:20:23 in viewers do you know what i mean because really at the end of the day it's all about money and viewers for them because you know the sag awards without a tv home is just another ballroom full of people in gowns you know what i mean if it's not living in on a platform like who cares you know so i feel like will will be back at the oscars before five years i think the best publicity move the oscars could do start the show out next year where they just walk out and hug in the middle of the stage that would get everyone to tune in and they go just kidding will you're invited back Chris has forgiven you, so all is good in the world. Take your seat in the front row.
Starting point is 00:20:57 And cut to commercial for the new Pfizer alopecia drug. Well, because, and not to, like, stay on this too long, but it is tradition that last year's winner of Best Actor and Best Actress present the award to the next winner. So, like, what if Chris Rock comes out and presents the award? Okay, anyway. So good. Next. i i want to go into something that's a little bit new because i just want to know your thoughts which is the don't worry darling press tour which was another big highlight for us
Starting point is 00:21:31 loved it i would say just olivia wilde's life would be in my top 10 not even the don't worry darling press tour but her and jason sudeikis and all of their drama the nanny coming out and doing the full expose in daily mail the chris pine potentially with the harry style spit gate oh my god yes i mean everything about her life this year has made her one of the top talked about people but that press tour was wild and it made me want to watch a movie i had no interest in watching because of so much drama that i felt like is this all a setup is this the greatest publicity stunt that i have ever seen go down because i didn't know much about the movie And the more that happened, I'm like, oh, this movie must be good.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Or I want to watch the movie to see if there's drama on screen between the people. Like everything about it was the greatest publicity stunt. But I think there was just a lot of egos involved. And the Shia LaBeouf. That was also the thing, too. Like that bitch couldn't keep a secret this year. Yeah. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Nothing. well and so what i what it came down to is i think a lot of people were saying that florence was starting to kind of see harry styles and then olivia kind of came in like romantically yeah that's what it that's what it sounded like that's what a lot of people thought caused a lot of drama again i don't know but that was one of the big speculations was that florence and harry started to kind of like oh they were gonna start dating olivia came in started dating harry her and jason were done and that caused a lot of drama within the cast and everything i believe that 100 it would make sense right like it doesn't make more sense than anything else yes what
Starting point is 00:23:20 happened with the nanny oh you didn't read the daily mail no she's been very busy looking at in the daily mail yeah jack was our viral star this year i did have an article on the daily mail of me doing a chia seed flush because i was constipated so that is like really where my star rose so i haven't i haven't had time start the year jack bannock's pooping um no well and i did follow this really closely i didn't know there was a nanny situation salad dressing yeah the nanny did this full like tell all about how you know jason was laying down in the driveway one day when olivia went to go leave to go hang out with harry and he was laying to block her car so she couldn't leave that uh she was swimming naked in the backyard uh while she was still with harry but
Starting point is 00:24:06 like trying to seduce jason like all this crazy insane shit and um listen i don't know how much of it's true but here's my conspiracy theory all right we like conspiracy yes i think it's very weird for a nanny to be able to speak publicly right that doesn't make sense when you have two massive stars who are married they have a nanny who's with them all the time how would you not have her sign an nda so she can't talk so my only thought is there's someone behind the scenes that wants to make olivia look bad and is saying here i'm going to give you the green light go talk about our lives and throw in some stuff that makes me look bad too so that it looks like you're just going rogue by yourself oh oh but then couldn't olivia still sue her like for defamation or i
Starting point is 00:24:59 mean if it's if it's accurate information you know what i'm saying oh it's hard it's hard to say that when if it's all true and accurate what's living gonna say no you're lying yeah well it makes it worse to be like no you're like i want to ask you this as an insider um what do you think a nanny like a nanny in this situation or someone who does this and like goes to daily mail or one of these sites and gets paid like obviously nanny got paid right she's not just like going rogue for no reason i would assume she's getting paid but like what is the payday these days because back in the day it was like a million dollars to be you know have your wedding on the cover of people magazine they would pay for the exclusive rights for that but like is the payola of hollywood still
Starting point is 00:25:39 happening and i mean i gotta assume that she got paid i i don't know but that would make the most sense to me because i can't imagine she wants to go put her livelihood on the line for zero paycheck because who the hell is going to hire her now to be a nanny for them if she's gone on the record but i mean my guess i would say is probably a hundred thousand two hundred thousand dollars something like that i i can't see uh anyone paying more in in reality i just don't think kevin federline did the daily mail stuff with the kids like that he's not an idiot like he's gonna make lots of money right yeah and that's what people do all the time and they're gonna wrap it up and oh well we did a photo shoot so we paid for photos not an interview but i'm
Starting point is 00:26:24 sure it was paying essentially for an interview but i feel like kevin fetterline's motivation was also to help him out with like public opinion and custody so maybe he didn't get paid maybe he was like i need you to run this story so that everybody knows i don't look good and i'm a good father yeah i'm sure i'm sure there was some money involved for him because at the end of the day kevin federland's been trashed for the last 15 years i don't you know i'm saying like he i don't think he's really too worried about what the public thinks of him yeah i think that he he was wrapped up in regards to his sons he wants his sons to not look bad like why did they not go to the wedding right there's a reason maybe everyone is side britney but in reality she's probably kind
Starting point is 00:27:05 of difficult to deal with behind the scenes i'm sure yeah yeah that makes perfect sense um okay dax do you have one you want to bring up i would say the johnny depp amber her trial was that was on my list the next biggest story of the entire year and i have never been so involved in a core kit i was obviously a lot of us were younger during oj yeah but this was like i feel like our oj trial you know minus the die just people pooping in the bed but other than that i i think that this was so fascinating and every day being lured into it and seeing all the details of their life i mean i would never want all these details of my life to be out there publicly but i think johnny depp is gave doesn't give a shit anymore and just wanted it out there like i would rather
Starting point is 00:27:56 embarrass the hell out of myself than let her walk away looking like the victim in this situation i think the best part of that entire case obviously it was popping up on like everybody's tiktoks but it was always his reaction while she is saying things and would just go back and forth to him just being just like what the going on or like so embarrassed and i was always just watching for those reaction videos of johnny depp i loved it no the best thing to come from that was the expert talking about arnica who farted on the stand did you guys not see this i forgot about that i mean that was early on that was early on the great she is my hero she let a toot slip out and didn't skip a beat she goes oh that's me sorry and kept going explaining arnica and how it works
Starting point is 00:28:44 i think she i love her i want her on the podcast anyways yes that is my one of my favorite parts was seeing one of my ex-co-workers morgan shmain on the stand i really want to talk to you about this this was incredible yeah so him going out there and basically saying oh well we were you know we were tipped off to where she was going to be um you know i i was there for a lot of this stuff and i don't remember those details but what was cool was we actually brought in both the paps that were assigned to those two cases like to going to the courthouse and going to her lawyer's office we brought both of those paps on our podcast and talked to him and talked to him about what was that day like for you did she know you were going to be there how did you know that she
Starting point is 00:29:35 knew you were there and he was like she made this thing look like a runway no one makes it look like a runway underneath a courthouse and he said you know the pap on our podcast sorry i don't like to call them paps they're producers tmz street producers let's call them that let's give them some credit here um but they said yeah like it was very clear that everyone involved knew that we were all going to be there and he's also said it's very rare that 15 camera people show up to a secret location so you're saying for people that weren't glued to their tvs and we need to go back and listen to that episode of hollywood raw because that's incredible there's two different ones uh ones with jesse roe and uh shoot i forget the other guy's name damn was this for this was
Starting point is 00:30:19 this so that you they got video of her bruises yes okay one yep one was the walking into the courthouse with the bruise on her face that one where she like made sure to like turn to the right side sure to turn made sure to make it very obvious there was another one where uh she was showing up to her lawyer's office and that was also another big moment in time for her because she was like filing paperwork and all of that so but even if it was staged you know even if it was set up it could have also been in support of her just having more evidence correct like it's so just the other to play devil's advocate like 100 i think the other issue that a lot of people were having was that the bruise on her face like wasn't there then suddenly was there according to
Starting point is 00:31:10 cops. She had no marks on her face at the apartment the night before, then suddenly had a bruise. So there was just a lot of conflicting information. And it seemed like from everyone that we had talked to that that was put into place to make sure there was evidence seen. Right. Okay. Well, it's an interesting thing because I think that now with social media in the world, like when you're someone's crisis publicist or your lawyer, like we see it all the time. It's like, these things are actually played out in the public court of public opinion a lot of the time. And so, um, you know, the best laid plans go astray. You may think, okay, I want to make sure that we get, you know, her going into the lawyer's office. So she's looking
Starting point is 00:31:51 strong, confident, and then who knows what is actually going to happen with that content. But I think there's, it's a really interesting thing. And this case really, and him being on the stand really open it up to the general public that like most of everything in hollywood is a setup you know what i mean there it's so incredibly rare that someone is just at the airport and they're just walking in and someone's there to get them like from the biggest stars in the world like if you want to hide you can hide pretty well thank you you know yeah i say that all the time because it's a hundred percent true if you don't want to be seen in this industry or in hollywood you can go to different restaurants you don't go to craigs yeah don't go to craigs and hide
Starting point is 00:32:37 your face because you don't want to be like everyone who goes to craigs wants to be seen right you know what i'm saying yeah so i say that all the time and me too and i like bring my own sign i'm like i'm kelty knight at you know kelty is very shameless about calling the paparazzi on herself so that's how our lady gang community has learned that it's like everybody is calling paparazzi like nobody is showing up there's nothing wrong with that like that's what we talk about on our podcast all the time there's nothing wrong with keeping yourself relevant or in the news or i'll just that's how you stay relevant in the industry i see nothing wrong with calling the paps and saying i'm gonna be here i'm not gonna be here like we had brian
Starting point is 00:33:20 austin green on he was like yeah megan and i used to do that all the time because we would go to Hawaii and we wanted peace and quiet so we would call the paps say come take our photos and then leave us alone for the rest of the week such a smart move yeah um so I am all about use it to your advantage if you need to are there people though because we've heard the stories of like Taylor Swift in like the New York City townhouse and like decoy cars and I don't know it's like all but is she somebody who genuinely can't hide from the public or from the paps in the public Like, are there celebrities who are truly hounded every single day? Because I do feel like when there is something big going on in a celebrity's life, they are camped out outside the house.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Not because anybody called. If there's a news story, yeah, the photographers are going to be looking for the person. Taylor, that's a weird situation because Taylor has a home in New York that the only access to her car is to go out the front door and into a car. and and but she also uses that to her advantage when she wants to be seen you know she's got an album coming out she'll put on a pretty outfit and it does a you know a runway walk to her car looks good waves at the fans but she can also go to rhode island and hide away she can come to la hide away in her home but new york is a weird one i she could choose a new place to live that has a garage i mean madonna has a covered garage behind a gate you don't see her coming in out
Starting point is 00:34:51 taylor just has a different situation there so you're telling me when i've been out with my b-list celebrity friends and they're suddenly being followed by a paparazzi that somebody told them not all the time it depends where did you where were you guys a few times it was like a typical you know like nice guy or whatever or whatever but there have been times where it's like a very random place yeah i would say if you're outside the nice guy no that's i mean they're looking for celebrities to be there there's constant paparazzi trolling the locations to see who they see or you know they may show up to someone say is anyone inside that's worth me staying here for um but i think if you're at the ralphs in the valley that's a little weirder of a
Starting point is 00:35:41 spot you know and that might be a little more unusual or maybe the pap lives out there and happens to be shopping the same time i don't know right interesting oh my god i just love my little loamy so much i'm in three weeks of loaming it's amazing you guys know i unsuccessfully composted for years. It's, it's tricky thing. And the Lomi makes it so easy. We're literally throwing out no food waste, no paper waste. We've switched over to every, all the plastics that are actually compostable in the Lomi. You just basically turns our food into dirt in a second. And in the mornings I get up, I take my Lomi outside, I empty it into the plants. I mix it with the dirt in my yard. And then I come back, start a fresh Lomi, take my coffee grounds out for the day. And like,
Starting point is 00:36:25 I'm doing it every day. We're running our Lomi every day. It's super easy to use. We have way less garbage. I feel better about the environment. And my lemon plant outside is loving, loving, loving its new healthy compost. Turn your food waste into dirt with the press of a button using a Lomi. Starting point is 00:37:46 20 off your order with code lady 20 that's 20 off your entire order at t-r-a-v-i-s-m-a-t-h-e-w.com slash women with code lady 20 you're listening to the lady gang i have a question you can think about this because we didn't prep you for it but what is your absolute favorite publicity stunt that you think has been like was the most genius like pr someone had like the best publicist in the business to either save their reputation or a relationship like you can kind of simmer on this but i am very curious because i feel like you know the ins and outs like nobody else i know i i can see i know who had the best pr moves well previously okay was alec baldwin oh because alec baldwin i am not a fan of not and he would always do these super jerky moves
Starting point is 00:38:47 like spitting on a paparazzi in public and then his pr move was let me go on saturday night live make everyone laugh and then it was gone like he could do the worst things and then go on saturday live and it like erased his record over and over and over again it obviously didn't work with the shooting recently i mean that's a whole different situation i think his the pr he did on that was horrendous um really dropped the ball you know what's interesting we had steve honig on have you guys ever heard that name no steve honig is a crisis pr specialist oh shit it was such a good episode because i asked him i was like what would you have done with alec baldwin and he was just like you know a lot of people what they want is just transparency they want you to be honest
Starting point is 00:39:36 they want you to come out and just say i messed up i'm really sorry this is what i'm going to do different and you don't hide behind anything and and i think without like also maybe not speaking right away would also be very helpful but that perspective of someone who works literally he's worked with lindsey lohan during some of her craziest times well it's interesting when we think of of crisis pr and we've talked about this a little bit is like you have to when you get one of those people you have to listen to them and that's really hard because you're in crisis and what you want to do is run from the fire and get a sky plant train thing to be like i'm not a bad person and write it across la and you just want to defend yourself and that doesn't work there's
Starting point is 00:40:22 just so much narcissism in la i mean in hollywood too and i feel like people have been told yes their entire lives and if they do something that's up they're like why not me like there's no way that i would and there's like so much defensiveness when it comes to that kind of stuff that i don't feel like people want to listen to a crisis pr person because they don't want to believe that they like stop yeah or are they're just so they want to defend themselves so much that it's like people don't want defense they want you to no just go okay i'm i learned from this situation and this is how i'm gonna do it differently um you know the one story that i i feel like i go back to is kristin doty were you guys did you guys watch vanderpump rules yeah
Starting point is 00:41:05 when she was fired from there i think bravo dropped the ball because they could have made that a big learning moment on the show and had her learn from her mistake and then publicly put it out there so that other people could also understand i don't know for me i just think might as well spotlight the issue and teach more people than just one by firing them we're forgetting the major like the most recent which i think was the worst statement i've ever read in my life adam levine his most recent oh my god i didn't even have that on my list i can't believe oh my god i would divorce him simply for that wait what did he end up saying oh my god it was like terrible what was it was like basically saying he flirted it never went past that yeah he never
Starting point is 00:41:59 saw them in person i'm like it is such bullshit they have screenshots of him saying you're even hotter in person and by the way i want to name my unborn child after my side chick exactly come on that was the i mean i it's it's i feel so bad for his wife like because she we've talked about it like she's gonna go back to that moment when he was like should we name our daughter subner and she's like now i know it's all this girl's not full of shit like oh that might have been the most messed up thing i throughout the whole you know he him dming her talking like that's pretty messed up wanting to name your unborn child with your wife your flirt whatever girl's name that's that was weird that's like psychotic behavior it is psychopath it is yeah
Starting point is 00:42:51 um okay and the last thing i want to ask you about is tom and giselle oh that was a big one i think same thing i think that they have been really bad for a really long time and you notice that a lot and like tom brady's appearance like the guy looks very skinny very gaunt i think that he feels probably the weight of the world on his shoulders especially like you're leading up the team and you're dealing with a lot of crap in your home life and so how do you balance that and i think it was just like finally both i'm going okay we have to go through with this because we're not happy together and that's probably why he went back in out of retirement was because he's like i can't have my wife be gone and my career be over so maybe that was it as like i always thought it
Starting point is 00:43:37 was like caveat because yes like she's leaving yeah and he won't leave football but it's probably that he didn't want all those changes happening in his life at once i think the guy's just addicted to football i think he truly loves it more than anything else and you know you he's done interviews where he said like i haven't had a life in 15 years or whatever it is he's like i haven't been to a birthday party i haven't been to a wedding i haven't been to any life events in 15 years because everything is about football and when he says it like that i'm like i can get why his wife was like over it yeah it's like being married do you think that's how chris knight feels about you 100 it's like i haven't been to anything that didn't involve we have to
Starting point is 00:44:25 go because it's connections to be made in 15 years i'm like yes that's right babe well now we're barely even in the same house ever so you know maybe we're next i don't know i'm just kidding shut up i would say the last thing that we should probably talk about is all the deaths because that would rank in the top bob saget queen elizabeth betty white was on the 31st of last year so it's basically the beginning of this year yeah and hey julio taylor hawkins sydney portier leslie joe uh leslie jordan oh libya newton john aaron carter i mean it's like one after another so there's so many more i'm forgetting a bunch ray leota naomi judd there are a lot ray leota my first crush god damn can't have shit so the shitty year man so you can have nice things well it was really
Starting point is 00:45:16 tough it was really tough on that dark note yeah thanks for ending it really wait who do you think dumois is oh who do i think dumois we've had dumois on our podcast twice now by the way but who do you think it is i mean nobody i wait when dumois was on your podcast was she with her face because kelty has been on her podcast and she doesn't like turn her screen on no no no she doesn't show her face um she yeah and we we talked to her once when she had like just started up and then we had her on like a couple weeks back she she's fun she she's really entertaining and i think she's brought a different view of entertainment news and a new platform you know what i'm saying like yeah going to instagram you now get your news from there and she she kind
Starting point is 00:46:02 of revitalized a lot of the like celeb light item stuff so here's a question for you when you're at tmz like how does tmz know shit before anyone else in the world like and it's like so respect like if it's on tmz you know it's real yeah but also like they know it and people are like i found out about this thing on tmz how do they know like they're paying everyone's on the payroll no it's it's you have a lot of sources when i was at teams they have a lot of sources you talk to a lot of people you're the one that comes to mind first when something happens so they'll call you and be like hey you need to look into this like i got the first tip that michael jackson something was wrong at his house like that came into me of hey check i don't know what's happening there's
Starting point is 00:46:46 ambulances outside of his house that's how the michael jackson death that's you know where it started from and you know where every major celebrity lives no but i do i when i my friends come to town i will give them a little tour and we'll go by like oh here's where the playboy mansion is and then if you go around the corner this or actually down the street this is where ellen's old house was and paul abdul's and here's where michael jackson died like i'll do a little bit of the tour but no i don't i don't know where everyone lives and i and i haven't been at tmz in years now so i'm not as involved anymore like in that regard interesting but yeah i was gonna say it for for people that like this countdown stuff though we do this weekly on the podcast so
