Starting point is 00:00:00 well what is this welcome to the lady gang that's amazing say that again the lady gang things are about to change around here each week we catch up with hollywood's hottest girl posse kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanik hello hello hello welcome to the lady gang i am becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty knight take two we've already had technical errors this morning 10 years of podcasting guys will i get a mic that works we don't know it's a today is all i'm the problem it's me yeah you're you're definitely the problem let's get into it let's get into it it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no so today is one of those days you know we all have them where every minute of your
Starting point is 00:00:48 day is scheduled within an inch of its life if one thing goes off kilter the entire day crumbles into a million pieces yeah i had been away and this is my punishment for going on vacation I had been away for a long weekend. How dare you have fun? How dare you? I come home and you know, I'm behind on every aspect of my life, the laundry, the house, the appointments, the text messages, the whatever. So I'm racing home to record a podcast with you ladies. And I get a call from the school, which obviously, obviously like makes your stomach drop into your butthole. Yeah. Luckily it wasn't anything major except for the fact that my kid shit himself at school. and how long from I need like more details yeah you're on your way home so like it was really
Starting point is 00:01:34 like quite quick no I dropped him off um no because the time change here it was like I mean the time difference so it was around 11 o'clock my time that we were gonna start school for two hours he'd been at school for two and a half hours okay um but I knew this morning it's like if you missed that window for him to poop at home I know I'm sending him to school and I know that he's probably going to shit himself but here's the problem wait he's potty trained obviously he's fully potty trained but the problem is he doesn't like pooping at school and so he tries to hold it as long as he possibly can i remember you told us about this he's like yes shy he's very poop shy he's also the kid that like if he's focused on something he does not want to stop
Starting point is 00:02:19 what he's doing to go to poop so then me neither honestly i know it's a real thing i'm like i'm working right now deal with this pull-ups please i don't know what's happening with the school but like maybe because he's in the older class now you kind of can't i don't know if anybody's a preschool teacher please explain this to me but the but the last two times one teacher called and was like hey i just want to let you know i cleaned him up he told me that i could maybe it's like a liability thing or like a can't touch a baby can't touch a kid oh no no but then this time around i think maybe the reason was because he had like, you know, a messier, messier situation. I don't know. So I race into the house. I grabbed some extra shorts. I grab good wipes for good wipes
Starting point is 00:03:08 because I have them stashed in every corner of my life and they come in handy for me, for Ford, all of us. So I bring those into the school. I raced to the school cause I'm also feeling so guilty that he's just sitting there and shit in his shit. Oh no. Traumatizing. You'd think traumatizing. He, he, I walk in and he's like, hi, like just so excited. And my girlfriend, I called her on my way home. I'm like, Oh, did you deal with this? And she goes, Oh my God. Yeah. Like she, my daughter was like traumatized. Like, but guess what? This is going to fix it. Cause he's going to feel so embarrassed or so much trauma or whatever. And I'm like, no, this is the difference between men and women he doesn't give a he's like i thought it was funny he's like
Starting point is 00:03:53 he's like what are you doing in the middle of a school day i'm gonna do this more often so you come visit me yes a hundred percent yeah and give me a scented good wipe it's like when i would catch myself when i would be sleeping in bed in the middle of the night i knew that if i wet the bed my mom would give me a bath in the middle of the night so i would wake up being like wait i'm about to pee the bed i'd have to catch it and i would pee myself just because i was like this is an exciting adventure to be able to have a bath in three o'clock in the morning okay well this is my karma so that was my bad week okay but like what do you do then like do you just clean them up at school and like send them like yeah there's no bath involved there's no bath
Starting point is 00:04:36 because of good wipes i don't know what the other parents were doing they're probably sending their kids back with stinky poo butts but oh yeah well good wipes saves the day what do you do with the short well i threw the underwear away i i throw that away and then um the short was fine luckily the short was fine but it did bring a backup in case i it's so funny because like sometimes if he doesn't have like a big big accident they'll just change him at school and he has an extra pair of underwear but then they'll send him home with like the underwear with the giant skid mark in it or like the little turdlet and i'm like please just throw these away like i get them for 50 cents on amazon for a reason yeah oh my god guys if anybody out there listen i know he's
Starting point is 00:05:19 gonna be fine even the teacher today was like listen there's just kids that are poop shy it's just a thing he will grow out of it none of us are walking around the world with shit in our pants like we're gonna be okay are we though i bet you there are some people that are well yeah you know what i mean and i i have like soft spot for them because do you remember before lady world and everyone was like, is it just porta potties? And like people were freaking out. Now in retrospect, we did have the porta palace, thank God. But if you are poop shy and your only option is like a plastic porta potty, your whole vacation is ruined. So I understand a little bit. It's true. It's true. I'm not poop shy. I will welcome it. I used to be.
Starting point is 00:06:03 I, being on Warped Tour made me not poop shy because all they had is porta potties. So I'm I'm like, I'll go. If, if I am ever so lucky to have the urge, I won't do it anywhere. I'm like, please. Bless not stressed. Do you have a good week? Was it your vacation? Where'd you go? Well, my good week, it was a vacation. I'm going to probably cover it in another episode because I got an email from Kelty on my vacation. That was just so touching from a girl that was at Lady World. Wait, did we just talk about it now?
Starting point is 00:06:31 No, I was saying I was going to talk about my vacation later. but on my vacation I reached I received this letter the email from the girl about the pumping station at Lady World I know wait what was it so I mean it's kind of a long
Starting point is 00:06:48 email it's very sweet oh okay I can race through it okay dear Lady World and Co when little old pregnant me bought my Lady World passes a year ago I did not think my baby would be the needy AF little princess she is and refuse a bottle I mean, this is my third. I thought I'd nail it by this point, right? Wrong. So when it came time
Starting point is 00:07:07 to consider what I was going to do with my passes and accommodations, I was thinking the only thing I could do was sell because how would it be literally possible to attend podcast Coachella with a six month old baby? I know I was honestly devastated because I'd been looking forward to this for so long as y'all have been talking about it. I, she was the original pyro listener, um subscribe to the podcast anyway she goes on to say um she's been to all the live shows then the best thing ever came across my instagram your post about a nursing room on festival grounds god bless you bobby bobby's the formula company that hosted that sponsored the room she couldn't believe it this meant that that not only would babies be tolerated they were encouraged mind
Starting point is 00:07:53 blown. Um, so anyways, she just goes on to talk about, was she the one that someone held her baby in the class? Yes. There was another, I don't know if it's the same one. Didn't she say that in the letter? I went to yoga. She later on, she was like, yes, beach sculpt. And my friend Kelsey held her baby. Oh, Kelsey did. Yes. Kelsey did. Cause Kelsey came to do the workout. My friend kelsey who hosted another class came to the workout but then she noticed this mom with the baby on the towel next to her and she was like going to do the workout and kelsey was like this i can work out all the time i have teenagers i'm holding your baby so you can get a good workout in it was just you know that's just lady we're on the nutshell but anyways i let my girlfriend at
Starting point is 00:08:38 bobby know because it really is i know that listen we give ourselves a lot of pats on the back but i I've really never seen such a beautiful pumping room at any festival, at any event, at any thing. And do you remember when we were setting it up the night before, we're like, this isn't nice enough. And we went to Target and got more stuff for it because we're like, it's just like stunning. We made it nicer because we were like, it's not enough to just have a seat and we need like some shelving.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Oh God. I know. We need the vibes. This is a problem with us. Yeah. I know. Well, we want to go above and beyond for these girls, but what's so nice is that my friend Kim, who, um, Bobby is, is her company and she gave us a lovely discount code for the formula for anybody who didn't get to go to. So it's lady gang 25 for 25% off any purchase online.
Starting point is 00:09:30 So if there's any Bobby moms out there or soon to be moms, I, this is actually what I gave forward. This is what he, this is like, why he has grown up to be such a great man full of poop. ignore the pooping part he's superior so it's not connected to bobby at all not at all um but yes i thought that was really nice that that you know that feedback it's just it's fun that's so sweet i love it yeah really cute and the fact that um she ended up writing like it's just you know because it was like something that was important to us and we're like is anyone gonna use this i'm like well if some we didn't necessarily think people would bring their babies but yeah you did um, people who just like, you know, you don't know how long people are breastfeeding. Like,
Starting point is 00:10:15 what are we supposed to do? And then the funniest part was when I thought people shared a breast pump. I don't know if I talked about this, but we were like in a late night Slack conversation. And I, and someone was like, is there going to be a fridge in there for the whatever? And like, and I was like, I don't know, but do we have like a table for the pump? And like, when people come in, do we need a way to like sanitize or whatever? And Becca's like, I don't think people share of breast pumps i did not know i thought it was one size fits all like you just go in like a hand washer no it's fine bodily fluids yeah you wouldn't really know unless you had a baby but you know i no judgment it was nice of you to consider having a communal pump though
Starting point is 00:10:52 right you know i think in case of emergency you should chris is on and your nipple is full like you gotta you gotta express also well i i also just think like this was so nice because we get so much i think people go out of their way to tell you bad things and reach out to complain and so when people reach out to have say nice things it's just really it's really lovely let's do more of that lady gang let's have ourselves if you go to a business small business or have an experience with a service industry person, like let's go and challenge ourselves to leave one positive Yelp review this month. I love that. Well, we did change a thing. It makes you not want to quit. That's why I ended up setting up the leading or lady world love letters. Cause I was
Starting point is 00:11:41 like, we're getting so many amazing comments everywhere. I'm like, I need somewhere to keep this so we can read it when we're like 70 years old. It was so sweet. The best. Okay. I'm going go so my good week is again let's connect to the lady world but um obviously my paint and sub classes were so amazing i had so much fun that i am doing a virtual paint and sip this month um that i just wanted to tell all of our lady gangers about it's going to be on october 28th we're going to be painting spooky characters and making a spooky cocktail um and i'm just so excited and people are so excited i'm like people have to go and get their own supplies at michael's like you're doing a supply list yeah supply list but it's like super basic it's just canvas and like
Starting point is 00:12:26 three paints and two paint brushes like i'm making it very easy so you don't have to spend an arm and a leg on the supplies um because you don't really need that much and then of course michael's we have our our gift code for michael's not gift code um discount code discount code my god uh lady world 10 you can get a discount at michael's but i'm just really excited and it's like i feel like it's the one virtual thing that actually makes sense post-covid world that's not depressing you know yeah because so many virtual things are like so sad um but i think it'll be fun it's like an active virtual things are sad like i remember like during covid and people would do like virtual concerts and stuff yeah no no oh you mean like depressing because like you can't go out in the
Starting point is 00:13:10 world yeah exactly but i think that this will be fun because it's like you can do it with a group of people at your house like get in a cute little costume or not or do it alone um and i just think it'll be fun because it's like it's low stress you don't have to like really go anywhere jack you should record it and then offer it to people who can't make it like the time and day of i think i will um but yeah i want to it's like i want to do like a friends giving one and like a christmas one and i love like anything festive so um you can get tickets still and join me it'll be fun i'm gonna make my parents and jared dress up and jared sounds about right like a monkey yeah it'll be fun um okay so that's my good week my bad week is i was talking about how my car is breaking down
Starting point is 00:13:55 the other episode and you know it's i don't know if i talked about it but like we brought it into the mechanic uh like two months ago just because i like had been neglecting it and i'm like we got i gotta get the tune-ups because you know or else something will happen but then ever since we brought it to the mechanic everything has been breaking down so i'm like i'm not saying it's the mechanic's fault but like everything has been happening and one of the things that's now been happening is my key fob uh like half works so like sometimes it'll unlock my car but then the other times i have to manually unlock it old school when i manually unlock it the alarm goes off in my car there's no way to turn it off um it's the most embarrassing thing every single
Starting point is 00:14:37 time i get into the car because it looks like i'm stealing my own car and it starts going off for five seconds until i can get the key into the car and turn it on and turn it off um so the other day i was out running errands with my mom and we went to world market and i was getting some like halloween decorations for our house of course and i go to do the manual key thing and unlock the car The alarm goes off. I go to put it in my car and then the door shuts. So now I locked my keys in the ignition car on. Oh, cause you're in such a rush. You're like jabbing it in before you're even in the car. Yep. And cause I had to put my big thing of world market bags into the back of my car. Cinnamon brooms in the back. And it's like, I get so, I get so embarrassed. It's like
Starting point is 00:15:27 very embarrassing for your car alarm to go off every single time you open the car so i was just like so stressed out so then yeah i like i locked myself out of my car with it on um i had to call triple a for the guy to come and use the balloon thing to like open up my car and um i had to wait there for an hour with in the blazing hot with my mom um but it's time for a new car jack it's time for a new car now my bluetooth doesn't work nothing on my car works it's literally i'm like it is the mechanic's fault but I'm just Jared says it's not
Starting point is 00:15:59 the car's 20 years old she's been around to Arizona a hundred times I drove her into the ground I've had like four cars since Lady Gang started and you've had the same one I know
Starting point is 00:16:14 I didn't even think that car was new enough that it would have a key fob when you said a key fob I was like you don't have a key fob that car's from the 1980s now back to the lady gang my good week is that i went on a date with chris so we went to city walk which is wild it's in universal studios la and it is yeah because i wanted to see kiss of the spider woman um and so that's what jaylo jaylo was playing spider woman oh yeah but it's
Starting point is 00:16:48 a musical so i was like hey chris i really want to go see kiss of the spider woman i thought he would get tickets at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, which is right by our house. Super easy to get to, easy parking. But he wanted the lay down seat probably because he knew he was going to fall asleep. So he got us tickets at CityWalk. And of course he said, well, I looked online, such a man thing. I looked online and there's half an hour of ads before. So yes, the movie starts at four, but we don't have to get there till 4.30 or we don't have to be in our seats still four 30. Cause I don't want to watch all the ads. And I was like, we are grumpy old people. Wow. Um, and so I was like, okay, so we left at three 45, 30 minutes of previews is aggressive.
Starting point is 00:17:31 Yeah. So anyway, we left at three 45. We get there at the parking. It is Halloween horror nights. What are we thinking? It is 30 minutes to park. And then I'm just like, you know what? I don't want to miss a second of this movie, but I got to have my fountain diet Coke and my butter popcorn and milk deads. Like if I don't have my special movie mix, it's not even worth it. It's not even worth it. Why would I even leave the house? If I'm not having the fountain diet Coke from the diet Coke machine that gives you the nine flavors, vanilla mint, like all the special diet Cokes, like, uh, so anyway, we get there in time. Finally, I got in my seat. There was still two more commercials. Anyway, I watched kiss the spider woman. I specifically as Kelty does
Starting point is 00:18:12 took a video or a little photo of the title because I wanted to support my queen, Jennifer Lopez on Instagram and let her know that I saw the movie. Um, whether it was good or bad, I was going to post about it. Um, it was great. It was great. So if you, here's the thing, it is a movie musical. So if you liked like the Chicago movie or you liked the nine movie, or you're like, it's not like wicked because wicked is more like a cartoon movie you know if you like that kind of movie like if you liked la la land if you liked any of that you'll you'll love it it she's not in it that much that's what's crazy about it because the whole story is basically like these two guys end up in jail together and this one guy tells this story of this movie the kiss of the spider
Starting point is 00:19:05 woman to like pass their time in jail but it is a metaphor for their actual life like he's you know you kind of get to the end and you're like the kiss of the spider woman is death the kiss of death who is just spoil it for us no no then they both die she's the spider woman she plays three parts she plays this like it's this is why it's not like a marvel not like a superhero like a she's like this is a play play yes she's a mythical creature basically she's like wait but i'm so i have more questions spider woman isn't that trademarked for marvel i bet you this came long before this is like a canter and ed the thing this is like yeah way earlier so basically like the story is these two guys and he's telling the story about this very
Starting point is 00:19:54 famous movie movie star that he loves and he sort of sees himself through her eyes and she has this there's she and then you see her be the movie star you know she's the movie star and all these fabulous like routines and everything and it's amazing and they go to this town and she has this curse of the spider woman which is whoever she falls in love with has to be kissed by the spider woman dies and that releases the town from the from the like curse curse essentially so she who plays the two guys um it's diego it's these two they're fabulous what chris thought it was pedro pascal the whole time it was not they're amazing luna diego luna and he's incredible so what is what's her vibe like so she's not spider woman what is she is and she plays three parts she
Starting point is 00:20:46 plays the actress she plays the yeah and so her the vibe is old school campy 1920s movie star with the roles and like it's big dance numbers and like crazy choreography and anyway it's real it's actually great like i can see why she's getting oscar buzz i can see like you know i just hope it does okay but anyway that's not my good week the good week is i saw the movie i ate the diet coke but the real good week is that i did post jennifer lopez great job whatever and she reposted me oh you want to know the power of jennifer lopez she's on my campaign train oh yeah she reposted me and it has two million views what like you know when someone reposts your story your own analytics i was like wow jennifer lopez has a lot of people i wish i would have like put
Starting point is 00:21:42 a little like my face in it like damn it because the spider woman you know like whoops did you get any followers from it? No. Um, but anyway, then when I saw her repost me, of course I had to DM her and I said, Bravo. Cause I'm being cool now. I'm not being like too desperate. I'm not being like Ariana Grande. Don't worry. You'll get over Pete Davidson. Like I'm past that point in my life. And so I said, Bravo. And she wrote back. Thank you, baby, baby. I think it's her. I think it is because I've been to like multiple events with her and she's always on Instagram. You can over her shoulder. She's like constantly on Instagram. Yeah. I went to like a big NBC party with her like probably a year ago and she was on Instagram the whole time. Thank you, baby.
Starting point is 00:22:24 She's a me. Thank you, baby. And I was like, star baby. Star baby. Star baby. No, continue. It's going to come to me. Okay. So my bad week is I have once again almost had to rage with someone on an airplane. I flew home to hang out with my brother this week and I was flying on WestJet, which is a low budget airline between the United States and Canada. And I, um, I've been working on, I've been, I have to turn in my book in like three weeks and I was working on, this is so meta. I'm working, sitting on the plane, working on a chapter all about like why the, like, like yelling at people when you want to yell at them and not holding it inside you basically. And I was using this example of when I was on the silent train
Starting point is 00:23:15 in Europe and I was really annoyed and someone didn't have their headphones, but I paid extra to be on the, I talked about this. I paid extra to be on the silent train so that I could be silent. And then this person's like listening to YouTubes and I was so annoyed and I took my earphones out of my hand or my pocket and was like, do you need these? And like, I felt so seen because then she turned off her phone. She didn't use the headphones. So I almost had the same experience, but this is, we're at a new low everyone. Okay. First of all, I'm in coach. Okay. I'm with the plebs, which is how we go. It happens in first class too, but I'm, I'm looking across 17A, I'm in 17F, there's a couple who are sitting next to each other who have decided
Starting point is 00:23:59 it is appropriate to watch a movie or like YouTubes, no headphones, and to simply just lean in together and hold the phone close to their ear so they can hear the video for the whole flight. Oh my God. they're listening to it pre-takeoff and pre-takeoff I don't have my headphones in I don't have my earplugs in and I'm like clearly this
Starting point is 00:24:26 is there's lots of noise people are loading but you know there's like that special noise that a phone makes when it's not your phone playing something it's like it's like there's a certain tenacity that's not the right word for that moment and I'm like surely when we
Starting point is 00:24:42 get in the air and it becomes quiet in the cabin they will stop doing this. Yeah. No, no. They probably for the first hour and a half got away with it. And I am steaming. I am looking at that flight attendant every time she comes down. Are you not noticing this? I am looking at, at the 16 people and the 18 people on the ABC side, they all have their headphones and no one is noticing. I am the only one. And then I'm like, I'm having this moment of self-reflection. I'm like, Kelty, this is a you problem because you can't let it go. You have earplugs in your bag for this exact reason, because this shit drives you mad. So I take
Starting point is 00:25:26 out my earplugs and I put them in. Now I can no longer hear them. But then I'm like, why do I have to have, I know I can feel it in my bloodstream that these people are breaking the rules of society. And I am so pissed. Like I am just so angry the whole time. Okay. So finally the flight attendant comes along. Thank you so much. And says, Hey guys, you need to put headphones on. So they stop. And they looked at her like they, that she had asked them to each deposit a kidney. Okay. They looked at her like, what do you mean? How dare you? And I was like, okay. Then the people next to me, 17, D&E, did the same thing. An hour before we're landing, they start watching something together on their phone, full volume.
Starting point is 00:26:25 What's it called? What was COVID? Pandemic. This is a pandemic of rudeness. Epidemic is what you're looking for. We are an epidemic of absolute ruthless rudeness on airplanes. I can't take it. You guys, I'm at the point where I am going to buy 17 pairs of headphones and carry them with me and I'm going to hand them out. Like I'm the stewardess. I was like,
Starting point is 00:26:50 should I have gotten up? Like I, what I should, I wanted to be like, anyway, I know I've gone on too long about this, but like, I'm sorry, this is what the is happening with earth. No, it's airplanes. I don't know what it is. really bring out the worst in people airplanes and airports i don't it like it needs to be studied it's bizarre i'm just bizarre oh my god okay when we come back you're listening to the lady gang we are back um there's something i need to talk you just said when we come back and didn't say what we're coming back to i also noticed that and wasn't gonna say anything but when we come back and we're back
Starting point is 00:27:38 okay okay we're back we're back um i need to talk about something i this is important to me so last night my brother and i we watched the victoria beckham have you seen it oh no i want to i won't be watching okay we watched the victoria beckham documentary part one i have spent a lot not a lot of money i'm not a huge vb buyer you know her stuff's pretty expensive it's mostly made of cotton like it's like you know this it's pricey i have like a couple dresses you know and i was just thinking about it because i was like wow she does make beautiful clothes like beautiful if i had all the money in the world i would definitely think about getting more of them. But then I watched the docu-series and it occurred to me
Starting point is 00:28:33 that she's making, she's a fancy person, right? She's making clothes for a life that not even she lives because the entire docu-series is following her to work and to home and to events and in her kitchen. And I'm sure she has made a white t-shirt, you know what I mean, for her line, but it's like, even at work, she's not wearing the Victoria Beckham workwear. You know what I mean? Like she is a capsule wardrobe. This woman is wearing a great pair of jeans, a belt, a white t-shirt, a black t-shirt, a gray sweatsuit and black leggings and like a fabletics outfit. I mean, I don't know if it's fabletics, but like, do we need clothes? No, we rarely need clothes. This is actually, I had to have take a hard look at myself and
Starting point is 00:29:22 my spending habits recently. And I realized that I was spending... Actually, it was Alta Daily, the app that actually made it very clear to me, very apparent that I don't buy enough clothes for the every day, like the jeans, the belt, the t-shirt. I buy it for either... I'm buying like occasion clothing. Occasion clothing. It's like I'm still 25 living in New York going out every night. You know what I mean? Like I'm Carrie Bradshaw and I'm like, I need a poodle skirt. Yesterday night, I watched a TikToker. I swear to God, I watched a TikToker tell me that the hat of next season is a sailor hat because that's all she saw at Paris Fashion Week. I could so see you in a sailor hat. I spent hours. Looking for a sailor hat? I was like, Dior, sailor hat, Gucci,
Starting point is 00:30:14 no one's made them. The only people that have a sailor hat is free people. It's tweed and that's too heavy of a fabric for los angeles i'm thinking about getting a sailor hat from amazon and somehow like embroidering it no sailor hat like where am i wearing this who am i well i'm of all people no you would definitely find somewhere you're either at work in wardrobe from like the stylist at e or you're at home like you literally don't go i do not need a club you don't need a jean to be honest i didn't even wear a bra when i went to kiss of the spider woman i wore a clog you You don't even need makeup in your home because you don't leave it unless you're going to work and then they do your makeup for you. That's so true. Exactly. Anyway. Okay. So wait,
Starting point is 00:30:57 so what did Alta tell you? Sorry, I got into this. No, it was just that I was like looking for casual outfits because it gives you categories for each day. It's genius. So I'm like, okay, pull up some casual things. And my casual items, because they have nothing to choose from other than workout clothes is like a gown. Crazy. Yeah. I'm like, I'm like, no Alta, I'm not wearing a kitten heel, but like they have nothing. They have no other options to show me. This is the flattest shoe. A pussy bow blouse to pick up my kid. What are we doing? And so I need to stop buying the blouses, the skirts, the dresses. Like it's so crazy. Cause I never have what I need ever no but i have a whole i have a rack of clothing in my in my um closet that could hold
Starting point is 00:31:41 me over if i went out to dinner every single night for the rest of your life it's my life it's the amount of matching two-piece sets that i have of like a leather jacket matched with a bottom that like i've never worn where are we going i i also do this thing where it's like i like for lady world i bought like all these two-piece sets like tropical two-piece sets I'll wear it like when the days that we're like getting ready. And I'm like, I wore nothing. I wore legging, not leggings. I wore like a workout set because I also do that thing when I do buy clothes for a vacation. I'm like, oh, I'll save this good outfit for like the best day. And then the best day never comes. So then I never wear it. The best day never comes is my new mantra.
Starting point is 00:32:26 You guys, I have so many gowns. I'm sorry. I am obsessed. I was going to try to dress up for the daytime Emmys. I ended up wearing my YSL dress that I already have in sunglasses like a cunt. But I was going to wear something fabulous because I was like, you know what? I think my TV career is over. So I may never go to one of these stupid ceremonies again as a nominee. So I'm going to like go up for it. I ordered like six gowns from real, real. It was like Tom Ford, fuchsia, velvet, like insane. There was like this one that was like too witchy. Kristen literary was like, this looks like something Jack would wear on Halloween. Um, and I ended up returning all of them. I was like, this is so stupid. I go in my own closet. I've got the gowns
Starting point is 00:33:14 I wore for miss USA. I've got, I've got more gowns. I have enough clothes, Becca, that if I went out to dinner every day for the last year, I could wear it down. I have enough clothes that I could go to a gala every night. And I had to clean out my e-closet and I had to bring home everything. And there's a lot of clothes I was gifted, which was great. There's some that I bought and then all my shoes. And I didn't realize, the thing about these consignment sites, Net-A-Porter has Reflant now, which is like, well, it's called Reflant. They take your stuff it's like real real you can sell your stuff and then um but they put it out to like fashion file and like all the i don't know all those like other places but it's like you can get a designer
Starting point is 00:33:58 pair of heels for like 200 at this point like the same as like a like a nordstrom schutz brand or whatever like yeah you can get a jimmy choo you can get a louboutin so like it was like something i did to like late at night i would just order another color of louboutin so kate's like where am I wearing a teal patent? I haven't worn a Louboutin in a decade. Oh, I was just going to say heel. It is wild. And so I had to put them all in my little closet and I was like, where am I going? I wear the Ugg, the Ugg slipper from our DSW collection, bestseller. I think it's the number one. The Birkenstock that you throw on from our DSW. The clog is so good. The clog is my two things. I'm like, yes, we did of course pick out a beautiful leopard print slide. Who's wearing
Starting point is 00:34:46 that slide? We're not wearing that slide. We're wearing the UGG. Like I'm wearing the UGG to City Walk. Like, yeah, I am. There are girls still going to the office though. So maybe they're doing the slide, but even offices are so cash now. The only people who dress up these days are like attorneys. Even the new editor in chief of Vogue is like not dressing for her job. I don't like that i don't want to hear that yeah so just chloe chloe if you're listening to lady gang which is victoria beckham i need you to be upping the game so crazy with that it's like i look on revolve every morning it's like one of my little like rituals i don't know why i don't buy anything from there but i'm like the amount of workwear that is not appropriate for work workwear uh
Starting point is 00:35:30 Revolve doesn't sell workwear. Well, you know, they have a workwear edit. I'm like, who's wearing this mini skirt with a high boot? It's more so like occasion dresses. I'm like, that's all that Revolve is, is like dresses that you would wear to like a welcome dinner at a wedding. And I'm like, who for $500, $600, I'm like, how are we staying afloat here? Like, who's buying these things?
Starting point is 00:35:57 I had to come to Jesus with Jessie from Mormon Wives, our friend, because she was going to come to this event with me this week. We didn't end up going, but I was like – she was like, okay, I'm thinking about wearing this and this. I was like, Jessie, you have enough Revolve occasion dresses. Like it's time to get a sick suit. And I was sending her options from Net-A-Porter because she was asking me. I think she has a stylist, but she's interested in like an LA stylist because she's in LA so much, and she hadn't hired anyone yet. She was like, what do you think? And I'm sending her like the sickest stuff.
Starting point is 00:36:26 And I was just like, it's just a certain look that like revolve occasion dress. And it's really cute for that exact purpose. Yeah. Sometimes like we were going to go to the Kim Kardashian All's Fair premiere, which is like, it's bitchy lawyers. Like, yeah, I need you to be cunty. Elevate, elevate. Have you guys, is this an, is this an Austin thing or is this a 2025 thing? Is this a post COVID thing?
Starting point is 00:36:49 i've been invited to so many events and parties that come the invitation arrives with a pinterest board for attire wait did you oh what there's an influencer that um this is like kind of related but it just made me think about it she's getting married and she made a um like a shopping list for dresses for her guests with influencer links where she made money off it with affiliate links not affiliate links this is what I want you to wear to my wedding
Starting point is 00:37:23 star baby that is star baby I write back and I say thank you baby which influencer is this thank you baby we were what Danielle Bernstein oh well this tracks this tracks
Starting point is 00:37:38 she's she's like and listen no shade but she's like the og fashion grifter yeah she is the star baby she's the star baby that created star grifter slash star baby um no but i keep getting i keep getting these pinterest boards and i have to be honest taylor swift airs tour did it to us and we did it at lady world like it is right a theme dress is i love it no but no this is different this is different because this is like fancy events so you're having to spend it's not like if it's not like go in your closet anything pink right it's like it's a gala it's a black tie gala and you're
Starting point is 00:38:22 giving me a color scheme of three three colors but i was gonna re-wear something so i didn't have to spend money to buy a new gown but i don't have a maroon outfit because i the color of the season was butter yellow last year or i don't own a metallic item of anything ever and i like so it's just stuff like that where i've been the last like three things and so i'm like i'm gonna be out thousands of dollars because i have to fall under the and if i don't do it i'm a douche you know no and that's i don't know christina had something like that and she came to my we have to start sharing clothes and closets and that's what alta is great for too because i like literally i'm like you need a gown and i like can send all the gowns anyway wait you can send me
Starting point is 00:39:04 your gowns like from your app well they don't have a shareable yet but i put it on i put it on a the avatar and then i just screenshot the avatar and then i just send the five avatars of like these are the five things i have that's christina just played at a billionaire's wedding where she was hanging out with zach efron and she wore all my gowns and i was like thank god someone wore this gown i got it like five years ago in paris i thought you know what i need i need a bodice cut bridgerton it's like fully embellished with flowers and sequins with a sheer three-quarter sleeve with a maternal like you know how the in bridgerton the dresses come from right between the tits and it like breaks the chiffon breaks in the middle i have that gown from a couture
Starting point is 00:39:46 it's a couture brand house atelier an atelier at the parish vintage like and i was like it fit me amazing and i was like i'll find somewhere to wear it no i won't christina did somebody did does it happen to fall under the color scheme I have to wear because I may be also borrowing it sparkles and maroon oh my god well anyway thanks for coming see you guys soon
