Starting point is 00:00:00 Every child deserves the chance to belong, to learn to swim, to go to camp, to discover what they're capable of. But for some families, the cost can put them out of reach. That's why the YMCA exists as a charity. Your donation helps more children access programs that help them build confidence, make friends, and be a part of something bigger. Because belonging shouldn't have a price tag. Donate to the YMCA today at ymcagta.org slash belong. well what is this welcome to the lady gang that's amazing say that again the lady gang things are about to change around here each week we catch up with hollywood's hottest girl posse kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanik
Starting point is 00:00:46 hello hello hello welcome to lady gang i'm becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty knight what is that face kelty oh no i was just putting my beep turning my beeps off oh i didn't hear your beeps didn't hear them I mean I'm looking gorgeous because I was just letting everyone know I was infiltrated last night before I went to sleep you know you click on one ad and then that ad follows you around the internet which is like great if you're me or us and we're like trying to sell something like lady world yeah but like I clicked on that Mary Phillips underpainting palette I don't know you're gonna get it now that we're talking about it but basically she's this underpainting palette. And she's like, for people who are terrible at blending their makeup, Mary Phillips
Starting point is 00:01:28 is a very famous makeup artist. She was like Hailey Bieber and stuff. And she does your contour and all your contour concealer. And then you put the foundation on on top. And so it like smooths it. And my problem is always that everything is like very janky because I like throw it together in a cyclone. So I got literally 500 ads. I woke up this morning. They're still following me. I refuse to spend more money on makeup. I have an entire bathroom full of every makeup. I was like, I can do this with the products I have. So I'm going to do, um, a little podcast thing after this. And I was like, I'm going to try the under painting. So I did. It looks good. I know. It's very blendy. I had to stop myself just yesterday. I got targeted for some sort of lip oil, lip tint
Starting point is 00:02:15 combo from this French makeup artist. Yeah. And I almost, and I was like, Ooh, this is like the perfect, like reddish, subtle reddish, like blah, blah, blah. And I said, Becca, how many times have you done this exact same thing? And you think to yourself, this is going to change my life. Having this lip is going to make me so beautiful. Having, I am going to nail it. It's going to be the perfect. And I stopped myself because I said, you know what? You have 8 million lip oils, lip tints, lip blah, blah, blahs. You're not doing it. And so I, I, I was so close. I was even putting in my welcome 15 promo code well let me tell you no a really good lip oil tinted lip oil does change your life though when you find the one yes but then you hold on to the one yeah
Starting point is 00:03:04 I can never find the one and it's let me tell you something I forgot my lipstick when I was in New York and I did the drugstore like oh I'll just go get e.l.f. let me tell you something about that just e.l.f. is elite no I know but like you know I didn't have my thing so I had to try all new things this is the pout clout lip plumping pen and the color wait is it like a marker it's show us like it's a oh no oh it's a it's a solid that is very soft it's like the makeup by mario he has a similar thing that's so expensive the color is so beautiful i will tell you the color i can't read it because i don't have my glasses on but i'll link it we'll link it it's beautiful i do also want to call out the thrive cosmetics they sent me this one look at this is one big ad guys
Starting point is 00:03:55 look at that it's not though but it's not i bought this look at this juicy like texture for those of you listening in the car i'm really sorry but they make this is the most moisturizing so you didn't need that empower gloss she has it already but you know the problem is is that everything looks so much better on instagram ads because it's on actual models yeah no i know and That's why I'm like, oh, that's way better than what I have because she looks great. I'm literally like picking out makeup looks for red carpets. And I was like, I had to start Googling myself and picking makeup looks on my own face. Because like, girl, this eye is not going to look the same on this butthole eye to like a full eye.
Starting point is 00:04:38 There is like something called if you have like a low or high contrast face. Have you ever heard about that? This is what color assessment I did. Oh, because it's like some people transform with makeup. and then some people just like, I feel like I don't, obviously I look way better if I have makeup on, but like, I don't have a face that like can transform into a different face. Some people do. And I think that's like a high contrast face. Yeah. No, I have a low contrast. Well, I don't know if your terminology is with, it's the same as the color assessment because the
Starting point is 00:05:08 color assessment, you're supposed to put a picture of yourself in black and white. And then you go from how drastic each color is so it's like if you have really dark hair and really light skin and then a really dark eye it's like the contrast is aggressive or intense I have like a very muted everything so I have a low contrast so I think it's a different I think this is now different and I have one if you have a butthole eye like a dark I'm sure there's some sort of quiz you can take. Butthole eye. Anyway. Okay. Wow. Okay. Well, that was fun. Should we jump into it? Yeah, let's do it. It's time for good week. Yes, it is. Bad week. Oh, no. I would like to go first. Yeah, go for it. My good week is I was on an airplane this morning, bright and early,
Starting point is 00:05:59 and I started reading The F*** Them Theory. Oh, amazing. And it is wonderful. It's wonderful. I think it is the most honest Kelty that you're going to get. It's the Kelty that people who truly know Kelty. And it's the people who truly love and know Kelty. Like you're very misunderstood so much of the time.
Starting point is 00:06:21 And this, you've done a really great job of distilling your spirit into this one book. And it's a, it's not like you at one note. I was like, oh, is this going to be the like rage Kelty? Is this going to be the like, I'm going to burn it down. I'm going to get revenge. I'm going to get this thing. It's like, no, it actually, what I love the most. And I think the biggest takeaway for any woman. And I think no matter what kind of woman you are, because I'm not a K type. Right. And I was like, is this gonna, is this going to resonate for me? No matter what type of woman you are, we all have this little tiny voice in our heads that says, you didn't do that right. You should have been better at this. You should have kept your mouth
Starting point is 00:07:01 shut. You should have spoken up. This is like, you're trying to get through your day with like this perfect A plus score. And it's like embracing the messiness, embracing the like moments where I used to get in my car and beat myself up because I said something in the wrong way. And it's like, really allows you to be like, no, I can be a disaster, but I can also be all of these other wonderful things and it's not just a one this or that i love that oh my god it's great it's really good oh my god i can't wait to read it and it's not like a cheesy like just be yourself and be messy no it's like really just like girl wash your face yeah we've just been told for so long like i i'm in a group of women who i love them so much but they are all very much like these
Starting point is 00:07:49 evolved versions of people, right? Like they have, they have risen above, they've done all this like spiritual work. They're really beautiful human beings. And sometimes when I'm around them, I feel really uplifted. I feel really great when I'm in that space, but I myself am not fully evolved because I'm human and I still have my messy human parts. I still have my reactive behavior. I still have the things that I say that I wish I didn't say. And so sometimes I walk away from being with people like that thinking, you really suck as a human. Like, why can't you be better? Why can't you have a better attitude? Why can't you have this like positive whatever? Why can't you be more introspective? Why can't you hang back and not say something? Like, I really
Starting point is 00:08:28 do appreciate that I have not read something that has felt so true to being a woman and a woman of our age in this time right now. Amen. I'm really excited for you to read it. And I think it gets better and better. Um, but I do feel like, I love that. Thank you. That's so sweet. I was like, I'm honestly the most scared for you guys to read it. Um, and Chris, those were the, yes. And I avoided it. Like I wrote the entire book and sent it in, went through two rounds of edits before Chris even read it and he read it over the holidays. And then I think it's harder because, you know everyone in their lives has like truth tellers and like fluffers and like I sent it to my fluffers first like I sent it to Christina Perry and she was like this is the greatest book
Starting point is 00:09:18 that's ever existed I was like did you read it we don't know like that was gonna be your answer no matter what you know what I mean but like Chris was like oh I don't know like this is you're sounding a little like he really gave me really notes and I know you guys will too although it's too late now I can't take them because it's closed but um how is everything going with your book I'm at 850 books that's awesome that was a lot like after day one day one is usually when you get everything and then it dwindles so that's really good it's been really cool um it's been really cool and the k-type has started and I think it's like good for people and so I'm I'm pumped I'm like I'm in a flow right now which is great and the good things keep happening and so
Starting point is 00:09:59 I'm just like writing this. Um, did your brother cry when he read this? He actually didn't read it. Yeah. He doesn't want to, this was a, Oh my God, this is like not good week, bad week. But I, I had this thing where basically my editor kept saying to me like, Hey, like you're, you're telling like, this is like a HIPAA violation at some point. You know what I mean? Like, cause it's the first time I really go into like my brother and what happened and being in the psych ward with him and a lot of different things. And, um, and he said, you really are like going to need your brother to sign off. I was like, he's fine. He's not going to care. And I called him and I was like, Hey, like my editor is making me want to read this. And he goes, I actually don't want to
Starting point is 00:10:39 read it. Um, and I said, okay, well, I want to tell you the parts that I'm talking about. And he, he said, this is actually not my story. This is your story. And he's like, there's a lot of me's in the world, but there's also a lot of yous. And he's like, so like, I know what happened and you're telling it from your perspective. And he's like, I think it's really important because there are a lot of people, a lot of caregivers out there that are caring for not only brothers, but parents and kids and whatever, you know? And he's like, and I, so he wouldn't read it, but I like went through and I was like, I'm going to talk about Vegas when like you were asking me to like kill you. And I'm going to talk about this. I'm going to talk about the psych ward.
Starting point is 00:11:18 And I had softened it a lot. You'll probably notice that when you read it. Like, I never say psych ward. Like, I just said hospital. And I softened it a lot. Well, it's implied, but it's not like an aggressive, like, he's in the loony bin. Yeah. And so I did soften a lot of the verbiage because I, you know, but he was like, he was
Starting point is 00:11:38 like, I had to go through what I had to go through so I would be good. And if that can inspire someone, then I do want the story out there. And he's like, but I don't want to read it. it's too triggering for me. Yeah, I get that. So, which was wild. Well, I think you did a really good job with it. I think it's like, it's just honest.
Starting point is 00:11:57 And I think it's like what so many people deal with in their families. I don't know a single family that doesn't have this version of this, a version of this story. I just saw this girl, Dani. Do you remember Dani Vitale, Jack? Yeah. Okay. So she's like, she was a dancer, not in our world, Becca, but she was like also a scene. I think she was in Glee.
Starting point is 00:12:16 I think she danced on Glee. Yes. She was at Cheerio and Glee. But she went on and actually has like quite a robust choreography world now. No, she's insane. She's crushing it. She's doing like everyone. Didn't she date someone famous too for a while? She dated the guy from Boys Like Girls. Paul? No, that is.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Oh, Paul. Yeah, that's not famous. Okay. Yeah, no. Anyway, so I was like, I was asking her when I was trying to scope the Grammys, I was like, are you doing anyone for the Grammys trying to get intel like I do? and she was like no I'm actually back in Pennsylvania or whatever and she the other day posted this video like she basically gave up her career to go care for her dad who has Alzheimer's and she's living with him and she's like she she actually choreographed um she does a lot with Anne Hathaway so she's like did Devil Wears Prada so she's still gigging but she's like yeah I like upended my life I'm taking care of him like that's my full-time job now and I was
Starting point is 00:13:07 just like damn like so there is like I think it is happening a lot more than people are talking about. And it's like, you don't really post that on Instagram. It's not your like highlight reel, you know? Right. It's also like out of respect for the people that you love. You're not like giving all this like weird, the way that you did it in one book, like in very thoughtfully curated is the perfect way to do it. Like it's, it's very nice. Thank you. Okay. My bad week is simple. I was going through to my friend's house on a Monday morning. My hair was pulled back. Like, so I see the same security. I work out at her house every Monday and there's a security guard at the front of her neighborhood. And I always check in and blah, blah, blah. And it's
Starting point is 00:13:46 like very sunny. And I was like, oh, it's Becca. He's like, hey, good to see you. I was like, thanks. He's like, go on in. And I was like, thanks. He goes, oh, I really like your hair. And I was like, I touched my head. I'm like, like no makeup. And I was like, oh, he's like, yeah it's like silver oh no no no bummer dude and i was like yes it was intentional not that i haven't had my hair done in weeks and i am devastated you know because people see it you know like we can't all just be like you can't tell you can't tell like you can't tell on you but maybe in the sunlight i think you can't well because you keep your hair so light you blend it pretty well for the most part but when it's really grown out it's just
Starting point is 00:14:32 like all white at the temple like really shiny white i have seen some girls that are growing their hair like they're growing the grays i couldn't be me i am like way too vain and like it would hurt my self-esteem so much but it looks so good on some of these girls that are doing it i could i could never i can't i'm like no absolutely my eyebrows are starting to turn gray i have to pluck like that grays out i'm like i still don't really have any no you're not there yet but i'm old i'm way old enough to have them it's really i think it's really genetic too like if if your mom didn't go that great though it's so weird yeah like not young but definitely at least at my age interesting well hang on to it because you'll wake up one day and you'll have
Starting point is 00:15:13 silver hair you're like i'm so excited and then you're like and then i don't like light hair like i don't like me and light hair yeah oh and you have you have to start doing what i'm doing which is like highlighting right to the root to hide the gnome like i like it with a lot of anyway okay it's a bummer um jack uh okay so my good week is that i have officially converted my den in my house into my art studio oh yeah so good so it's so funny our house is a tri-level house because we're on a hill so it's like very the layout of our house is weird it's a a lot of square feet not a lot it's like 2100 square feet but it's just so weird how everything is laid out because of the trial level. So we have this den that's like half downstairs. And I'm like, it's
Starting point is 00:15:53 going to be my conversation room. Like it'll be where I podcast from. I got like two chairs and a couch for it. I'm like, it's going to be this thing. And we have never stepped foot in there since we bought the house. But I was like hanging on to that idea of turning it into like whatever. So finally, Jared was just like, Jack, you're doing all of your art in the kitchen. Your shit is literally everywhere. Yeah. Like our kitchen was a design. Our kitchen's like part of our living room. We have an open plan layout. So it was a, such a disaster. So I've officially moved down there. He made me an art, huge art workstation by hand in like two hours. He, he's so great. And so he helped me put the whole thing together. So now I have my own space to create and then it
Starting point is 00:16:32 makes me very happy. That's awesome. Yeah. How exciting. And you know, well, you know, my OCD is like weird, like in certain places I don't feel right. And I never felt right down there. like it freaked me out. Like it would make my body feel weird. But now that I have converted it, like I actually feel good in there. So it's what it should have been. I love it. My bad week is like not really a bad week. It's a little bit of a confused week. So Jared and I did a date night the other night and we went to this place that has like a bunch of different like restaurants in an open little area that sometimes people bring their families or other date nights, whatever. And we're waiting for the restaurant and we see this group of girls walk by. And one of the girls
Starting point is 00:17:11 was in scrubs like a full scrubs outfit like she was a doctor post-work yeah but she was 12 she couldn't have been older than 12 like middle school age and then I was like is this a thing that the kids are doing like is this a new fashion statement of like instead of the princess dress you're like a career woman I don't it was you guys it was so weird because I was like oh a doctor and I was like that that girl cannot be a doctor unless maybe she has like some sort of like benjamin button disease or no because she was with other girl like other girls she was older than you think no i don't she was with like other pre-teen girls but i'm like maybe she's like one of those kids that's like just love graduates from harvard when they're like 10 she's doogie
Starting point is 00:17:56 hauser doogie hauser yeah or like the good doctor wunderkind wunderkind what are they but i'm like i wanted to ask the moms out there that have like pre-teen girls if this is a thing Like our full scrubs, like matching scrub outfit. I used to wear scrubs in high school, like the hospital pants were like, yeah, I had a bunch of scrub pants, but not the scrub top, not the full uniform. But this has got to be what it is. You just that's that's totally what it is because we wore the scrub pants. Yeah, it's like the new age.
Starting point is 00:18:26 But they're like, we're going all in. We're cosplaying as a doctor. I used to be so envious of anybody who got to wear scrubs daily. Like when I'd be in New York and I'd be on the subway, I would just look around and be thinking, how much easier is your morning? Knowing it's like having a uniform when you go to school as a kid. It's just really cuts out the noise. But then like how much harder is their day?
Starting point is 00:18:46 You know? Oh, a million times harder. Like eight million. But it evens out. Unless they're giving Botox. So that's true. And a lot of people who give Botox now wear scrubs. That's actually the loophole.
Starting point is 00:18:56 That is. Should I start to be an injector? I know. Well, unless they're injecting you back because every time you get an injection, it like turns into a. thing. Hot mess. Hot. But I won't stop. Nope. Won't stop. Um, okay. So my bad week is I got hoodwinked by the internet. Um, and it's my own fault. It's I, you know, I'm always looking for the easy way out. And so I felt like I'm on this roll, but like, I can't get my Instagram to,
Starting point is 00:19:25 to grow and I'm trying so hard. I mean, I need to just stop trying, which is the answer. I know that's the answer, but why would I do that? So I got hoodwinked. There was some ad came up on my Instagram that was like, Hey, there's this site called Plexi. And basically what it does is it like, um, takes your social media accounts and boosts them. And it's like, you're not buying followers, but it like helps you figure out the hashtags. And like, this is how it was sold to me. And I was like, Hmm, this seems like a scam. So then I go on the site to check it out. Plexi.com do not press anything on this site. I'm warning you. And I see a video of Todrick Hall, who I did Rockettes with, who's like a big influencer. And it's a video of him popping
Starting point is 00:20:08 up and being like, my whole YouTube game changed when I got Plexi. And I was like, oh, shit, this is like a real thing. We have our YouTube for Lady Gang. I was like, maybe this could like, maybe this is what people are using. So I sign up for Plexi. I sign up for Plexi and I put my credit card in and it denies it. And I was like, oh, it's because it's like one of these tech companies. So I change it. I wait a day. I go back in. Still nothing. I call Capital One. I say, Capital One, I want to buy this from Plixie. I want to sign up. Please make this go through. And they were like, oh, weird. I don't know why you're getting fraud. Yeah, yeah. No, your account's clear. Try again. I try again. Still nothing. Two days later, I try again.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Nothing. I cannot pay Plixie to save my life. So then I call Capital One again. And I was like, what is going on? And they're like, oh, I'm so sorry. This website is on our no. We do not accept any charges from this site forever because we've had too many frauds. We've had too many frauds. This is like a no-go. It doesn't matter who you are, what your credit limit is. We will never charge Plixie. And I was like, oh, well, thank you so much for letting me know this was fraud. Todrick Hall, go fuck yourself. Maybe they used AI to make him just like I'm selling weird waxing things on the internet without my knowledge exactly so then they're like unfortunately um we're gonna we're gonna have to like shut down your card and then they start going through
Starting point is 00:21:36 the charges they got into my apple account no eight hundred dollars plixie these people once I entered my card. They have it. And it went everywhere. Online shopping, Apple, $800. Like it was wild. It was almost $6,000 worth of charges that I had to like go and do a fraud letter and all this shit. Anyway, I just, you know what? But thank you Capital One. Honestly, Capital One Venture X, thank you so much for your care and concern. Thank you for your protection. And then at the same time, so I have a double bad week this week. Then at the same time, they're like, do you know Rainbow Insurance? And I was like, Rainbow Insurance? I know I have farmers and like I have progressive farmers. Okay. I don't know. No, I don't think Rainbow. So I call my insurance
Starting point is 00:22:27 guy and I was like, hey, do I have Rainbow Insurance? He goes, oh no. And I was like, what? But these motherfuckers, six months, $700 a pop, have been charging me. They were like, oh, we put in for a quote. They were never supposed to charge you. For what? I thought this whole time it was my insurance, like, properly. Uh-oh. Because it just said insurance.
Starting point is 00:22:50 It wasn't. I got that $6,000 back. Guys, we have got to be looking at our credit card statements. Jesus. Wow. Jesus. I'm a messy bitch. But I just like assume that when I go through an insurance guy that he's going to buy the right insurance.
Starting point is 00:23:06 When I say, yes, buy the right insurance, like that's the charge. And I was like, this is anyway, I'm a disaster. When we come back, we're going to talk about the Bachelor contestants who are also a disaster. Now back to the Lady Gang. We're back. Now, Becca, we need you to get on this this season. I've been off the Bachelor for so long. it's probably been five or six years. I'm back. I'm watching The Bachelorette right now.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Taylor Frankie Paul from Mormon Wives. I know, but I didn't watch Mormon Wives. Well, just watch it. It's so good. And you could watch it in a weekend. You know, I don't like to watch non-aspirational television. I know, but Jessie's on it and you love Jessie. I do love Jessie, but I don't. Not that much. It's fine. We just need you to watch The Bachelor. So basically, here's the backstory for anyone who didn't watch Mormon Wives.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Taylor Frankie Paul is kookadoogle, okay? She's kookadooks. She is a mom of two? Maybe three, because she had the baby with Dakota. I think there's two baby daddies, three babies, and she's 20. No, she's not. I'm kidding. She's like 22. She's so hot. 22? No! She's young. They're all young. She was the reason Mormon wives got greenlit. Like, We didn't know the rest of them were going to be kookadoogle, but she's the one who like started mom talk. She's 31, by the way. Oh, she's 31?
Starting point is 00:24:32 She's so hot. She's like so sexy. She's got a tiny little body and big ass fake boobs and like big long hair. Her face is perfect. She's nutso bananas on the first season of Mormon Wives. The cops get called because her and Dakota are fighting so aggressively. But she's also like, she's so honest. Yes.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Like she's so self-aware and honest. Yeah. And she has very, very many redeeming qualities. Like she knows she's cuckoo ducal. Like she owns it, which makes her so fun. And she is the Bachelorette, which is the greatest crossover. Well, it's the only thing that the Bachelor could have done to save themselves because they were in the toilet. Like this is the only thing. And so now she's like, but here's the thing. These guys are walking in and they were cast not knowing who the Bachelor is.
Starting point is 00:25:20 And now it's a famous person. It's a famous person with multiple children and like all this drama attached. It's going to be so good. So I want to look through the guys. Jack has sent us a link to look through the men. Jack, I want you to introduce them. Tell us what you're what you're hearing, what you know. And yes, did you email it to us?
Starting point is 00:25:42 I emailed it to you guys. Yes. OK, so basically to preface this, I thought this was so funny because I looked them up. They usually release like the men's. They do a photo shoot. they're always the worst pictures. Like all of the guys always look so fugly. And then you see them in real life and you're like, oh, they're actually kind of hot. So they did their photo shoot. So I have that in the link that I sent you guys. But then they must have made every man
Starting point is 00:26:03 do like an intro, the same intro TikTok, where it was like, I heard that Taylor Frankie Paul is looking for love. And then it like, they must have been like, they must be like showcase like three parts of your personality in this video. So then they're all doing it. And I'm like, That's got to be so, of course, there's going to be men in there that are going to be a ham for the camera, but there's got to be a couple men in there that are like, this is my nightmare. Yeah. But everybody except for like three of them did it.
Starting point is 00:26:32 So I put my two favorites at the top, if you guys can see. Yes. The first one is this guy, Richard from North Carolina. He's a photographer. Again, his like picture, it looks pretty ugly, but then you go and you look at him in person. I think he's hot. I think he's hot too. I like a man with an Adam's apple and a watch.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I don't like his content on Instagram. I really don't. I mean, I don't like any man's content on Instagram. Exactly. You know, if I were The Bachelorette, I'd be like, I want you to find every man out there who doesn't have an Instagram. I know. Or if they do, it's a picture of a dog from 2015. Well, he definitely, well, he is a photographer, so.
Starting point is 00:27:10 Yeah, but then why does he need to do like weird reels of him singing Ella Langley? Like, this is so disturbing. I know. I don't believe that photographer is a real job past the age of 28. Like, if you're not Kevin Mazur photographing Beyonce at the Met Gala, I just don't know. Or like, if you're not like a wedding photographer or something. Yeah, and also his hands are so small, you guys. Look at those fingers.
Starting point is 00:27:36 I just think his face is hot. Yeah, his face is hot. He's giving Brad Wilma. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what he's giving? He's giving the guy from Lost. What's that guy named? Oh, Sawyer?
Starting point is 00:27:46 Yes. No. Matthew. The main guy. Oh, Jack. He's giving Jack from Lost. Oh, he is. He is. He definitely is. Okay. So he is my second favorite. My first favorite is the second guy, Trenton. Now, again, looks pretty not great in his picture. Don't love the necklace or the ring. Oh, he's a Paralympian. So yeah, he has, he lost one of his legs and he has been in the Paralympics like three times, but he's. Whoa, he's hot. Very hot. And he lives right near me. Not that I'm trying to date him, but if I wanted to damn jack if jared and I somehow get divorced then he's right down the street oh wow he's yeah he's I can't do a goatee like that I can't anyone who's anyone who spends
Starting point is 00:28:31 that much time making sure that my cheeks are baby smooth and my chin has a like that is the easiest thing to change it takes five days but he might look totally different without his body no Wow. That's a bod. A shirtless gym pic is also a no-fly zone for me. But he's an athlete. He's an athlete. Yeah, I guess you're right. You know what I mean? Because the next picture in the carousel is him literally jumping like eight million feet in the air doing the one place.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Okay, no, that's fine. I think you could get over the goatee. Yeah. And if your job is actually... Yeah, he's cute. He's hot. And this is so funny. I'm like, if I was a bachelorette, I'm like, there's my top two. You know? Yeah, like with everybody else. That's what happened when I was on The Bachelor. He like knew he wanted to marry
Starting point is 00:29:12 Emily Maynard on night one. And then the rest of it was just like, hmm. Yeah. I mean, I keep this girl with the big boobs around so I can play with them. Like it was like very, you know. Okay. Who else? Okay. So let's talk about Clayton. Okay. So Clayton is actually somebody that Kelty and I know. Yes. And he's somebody that maybe a lot of you know, if you are a Lana Del Rey fan, because he was engaged to Lana Del Rey a couple of years ago. Yes. So he is a musician. How do know him, Kelty. He's just been around. His brother plays in the cab right now, right? Does he? Chantry? Chantry Johnson? Chantry? Chantry is his brother. And Clay, yeah, they're both, yeah. He's not an emo guy. But he was in the emo world. He's been in that world forever
Starting point is 00:30:01 and like friends with everyone. Yeah. So he was engaged to Lana Del Rey during COVID. Their relationship was very weird but like aren't all of hers and it just seemed like very strange um but i facetimed with her once when i was with him we went for we went for k korean barbecue with like alex from the cab and chris and he was there and then he was like do you want to meet lana and i was like yeah and then he like facetimed i was like this is kelty she's great and then it was like hi but they had already broken up and then gotten back together um i love the lore for the for the, like, I think it's going to be great. It's definitely going to come up. I love that it's going to put Frank, like, oh, I date famous people all the time. I mean, I think he's perfect
Starting point is 00:30:49 for the show because he's very outgoing. He's very funny. He is very much a Kelty in like the whatever way the wind blows, like this sounds fun. I'll go do it. I don't care. Like people are going to say, oh, cause you're a singer songwriter. You're looking for fame, but like, yes, obviously. But it's more of a yes and for me. Well, and what people were pointing out that was really interesting is Lana Del Rey is a big Secret Wives of Mormon Lives fan. Like there is this whole scene in last last year's last year's last season where they all went to Coachella and she like brought them up on stage with her. It was in the show. So it's like that's that's interesting. Clayton's hot. He's a little short. He's short. But Taylor's small. So that's OK.
Starting point is 00:31:36 I don't like his pose in his photo. I don't like when you push the muscles out like that. Like the crossed arm, push my muscles out pose is a no. Yeah. Listen, either way, it's going to help his music career, I think. I can see him doing really well. I actually can, which is wild. Yeah, I mean.
Starting point is 00:31:54 He seems charming. But everyone told him not to do it. I know that. Everyone was like, please don't do this. Please don't do it. Because here's the thing. You either win The Bachelor or it doesn't do anything for you. It's not going to help you with your music career.
Starting point is 00:32:09 He actually is a lovely singer, but it's so hard to break into the music business. You do you, Clayton. I'm excited to watch. This is the only reason I'm watching is to see Clayton. I think it'll be fun. Yeah, there's a couple other guys that are like... Go to Aaron. I'm looking at these fellas.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Well, there's two guys on here that are 6'8", and they mentioned that in their profiles, too. That's too tall. Yeah. She's going to love it. Oh, my God. She's going to be like a foot and a half shorter than them. Aaron is 32. He's wearing his cross as the necklace.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Yeah. Which— And he's from Utah. Oh, wait. Yeah. Yeah, he is. He is. So maybe Mormon.
Starting point is 00:32:51 That could be good. I think he's cute. I'm trying to find— Aaron. This guy, the private wealth planner, Shane, is very hot at the bottom. Wait, what about Brad Cowboy Entrepreneur? Yeah. I know.
Starting point is 00:33:08 And he didn't make a video, I don't think. But I really wanted to know more about that. But like Cowboy Entrepreneur is such a weird job. Yeah. I don't believe anyone who's an entrepreneur. You know, the girls are like, I can't go on Raya. Everyone's an entrepreneur. Like Cowboy Entrepreneur.
Starting point is 00:33:25 What does that mean? Like, do you make hats? Like, I need more information, Brad. 29. I know. There's also a guy that's like a startup founder. And I'm like, that's the new entrepreneur. That's another nothing thing.
Starting point is 00:33:37 I also hate that they made Brad the cowboy entrepreneur. Number one, if you're a cowboy, wear the f*** your hat. You know what I mean? Just be a cowboy. Just be a cowboy. Don't be a soft cowboy in an American apparel v-neck. Well, I was going to say, like, so many of these guys were dressed very cowboy-ish, except for him. and then also the posing with the chair like whoever the bachelor's like just lean over the
Starting point is 00:34:02 stool like i don't like that at all no their photo shoots are always so bad i want to like you know how bethany frankel started that like upper class dating app yeah where you have to give a thousand dollars as as to prove your seriousness or whatever i want i want a version of that i want the bachelor i want highbrow i want rich rich people and i want them to be hot i know 100 because i want to watch hot people fall in love and now that we're older and we're richer than all the people going on the bachelor yes it's not as fun because right back way back when i would have been like oh my god look at him he's a chiropractor he's so grown up he's a chiropractor and now i'm like oh no he's a chiropractor yeah not that that's a bad thing
Starting point is 00:34:50 But you know what I mean? It's like, I don't want to see men that I could date. I want to see men that's somewhat hotter and richer. We need like a celebrity bachelor. Yes. Like a love and aspirational bachelor. Yes. I don't want to, like, this looks like I just went to the HEB down the street.
Starting point is 00:35:05 And these are five men I could have pulled out of the HEB, you know? I just want to talk quickly about Doug28. Ocean lifeguard. Now, this feels... Not a pool lifeguard. Don't get it twisted. You guys, it's very hard to be a lifeguard. It's a very hard job.
Starting point is 00:35:19 It's also, like, the benefits they get, too, as the ocean lifeguards. It's like firefighter, that whole—it's a very status. They can make a shit ton of money, too. Shit ton of money. Wait, are you saying ocean lifeguard is okay? It's a flex. It's a flex. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Because I was like, why would you say ocean lifeguard? Probably because it's more impressive than pool. Like, are you saying if you come over to my house and Becca falls in the pool, you're not going to rescue her because you only do oceans? He doesn't want you to think that he gets hired for kids' birthday parties in rich neighborhoods. Yeah, it's more, yeah. Shark attacks. Yeah. Deep sea diving.
Starting point is 00:35:55 He's another one that his picture is not doing him any justice. He looks a little dopey. Wait, Marcus, creative director? He was, yeah, but his Instagram, it's a lot of gym. It's a lot of working out. Not for me. Matt is going home on the first night. Matt is 6'8".
Starting point is 00:36:13 That's a little redeeming. Who's 6'8"? No, but he had a ton of—so I was looking at all of their views, and he had on the high end of them. Like, people were liking him. A 6'8 real estate broker. Let me see. When I read Michael B., 36, chiropractic healer, that just makes me feel like he's going to be like, Becca, or Jack, you can't poop.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Let me crack your hips and put my finger in your butthole. Yeah. Yeah. It's an excuse. I'm excited about this season. I am, like, ready. Oh, I'm so excited. Shane is my top. Shane, private wealth planner. I'm going to go with you, Becca.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Oh, Matthew has... Yeah, Shane's hot. Yeah, Shane's hot. Matthew has kids of his own, which is nice. Oh. Yeah, I appreciate that. Yeah, all these guys are actually age appropriate. They're all... There was a guy that was like 45. So they're... Because, you know, The Bachelor would usually cast people that are like 22. And it's just like these are kids, you know?
Starting point is 00:37:12 So this is, like, the first time that I feel like they've cast age-appropriate people, which I don't think we're losing anything by doing that, you know? I think it's going to be a really good season. So I am super excited about that. I hope that for one of the episodes they bring on, like, if any of these men have ex-wives, I hope they bring on the ex-wives to talk to her about what they're like. Oh, my God. Well, you know that she, her ex, I'm sure is coming on, Dakota. Kelty. Oh, my God. Dakota. I don't trust a man named Dakota. Me neither. And I don't trust him. And I know you can't help the name you've ever given at birth, but I just don't. I just don't.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Me neither. Especially somebody our age. You know what else I don't trust, guys? I'm going to go on a tangent. I have seen a lot of pregnant women out clubbing. I don't trust a pregnant woman who is out doing fun things. You should be suffering. No, I don't want her suffering. I think that she's made of something different and something stronger because I can't even go out socially and not have a drink, but you're going out sober, growing a child inside of you, definitely uncomfortable in some way, shape or form in clothes that you probably don't love. Like what are, what is the motivation? Are these just like, and by not trust, I mean, I think that they're like a version of superhumans. Yeah. Yeah. I do. I was at a party recently
Starting point is 00:38:42 and my girlfriend was like nine months pregnant and she wore a little dress and a tiara. And honestly, I was like, I want to go home. And she was like, let's party. Like, yeah, maybe you're just like, you know, maybe they know what's coming and they're just trying to hold on to it for like one final hurrah. Or they're just people who are more fun than us. And I just think that's like really upsetting to see, you know, to be faced with it like that. Yeah. Like now I need like an Adderall and like three cocktails to be social. Please. Wait, I do want to talk about something so horrible. Sorry, such sad news. No, can we talk about something that's not sad? Okay. Well, are you talking about Mary Cosby's son? Oh, I hate this. I just saw this.
Starting point is 00:39:30 It breaks my heart. Truly. You know, because he was in jail. I know. He was in jail and he got out and then he OD'd and man. But I thought what I think is so interesting about this. Sorry. It really took a turn from the pregnant girl in the club. I know. And I had something fun to talk about. Okay. Well, we can go back to five minutes. Listen, we send all of our love and prayers and support to Miss Mary Cosby. It's very unfortunate and it's very sad. No, it's horrible. It's crazy. But I think the wildest part of it is that they made an announcement like cameras down. When have in Real Housewives history, something horrible
Starting point is 00:40:04 happen to someone and they like put the cameras down well normally they would pick them up no child has ever yeah passed right that's like a level that's too far yeah I mean I like I kind of was I appreciate that I was weirdly like proud I'm sure some or I'm sure there's some mother they probably pushing to get those yeah oh yeah yeah of course there's some executive of being like, camera's up. You're listening to The Lady Gang. Okay, Jack, close us out with something fun.
Starting point is 00:40:35 What's the fun thing? Well, I was just, I wanted to get everybody's opinion. I don't know if you guys saw, but Sophia Franklin, the other girl from Call Her Daddy, is doing a tell-all memoir. And I'm real interested in this.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Kelty, it's like a gift. It's like a birthday gift that's not on your birthday. Yeah. I thought, I actually saw the headline after I was reading your book on the plane and I went on Instagram and I was like,
Starting point is 00:41:00 wow, wow, wow. There's a book Kelty's excited for, her own, and then there's a book she's more excited for, this one. Yes. I will use this platform today, Lady Gang, and let you know that I had to remove my own daddy issues from my book for legal reasons. I was not allowed to put my daddy issues in the book.
Starting point is 00:41:25 But couldn't you have just not said who it was? It was too obvious. And it's even more obvious now. I am pumped for Sophia. I think that it's been a long time coming. And I think that now I think the timing is correct because in the lore of what happened with her there have now been enough pieces of roadkill along the journey like she couldn't have done it five years ago before the alex earl before all these people are signing and then
Starting point is 00:42:03 leaving the unwell network work because they're crying at work and it's like not a good place to work allegedly um you know but now there's enough debt like sort of roadkill that people are like corroborating evidence. Something's up. Something is happening in this world. And I also think the timing is perfect because you know I went down a hole reading the comments. There's also something happening, which is benefiting me in a great way. So thank you so much. But we are in the era of viva la excellence. People want experts. It's back to we are over the part of you can do an interview with kim kardashian and just giggle and be like kim like never follow up nothing of substance like i think with the world being so insane people are like in covid when that show
Starting point is 00:42:58 like took off it was very like i don't know it's if there's only so many interviews you can listen to her do where it's like go on girl give us nothing that's a nothing thing i'm sorry like And now it's a clout thing. So she's getting all these big names, but it's not on the back. She has a massive following. She's an incredible, she's built an incredible brand. Great for her. Is she a great interviewer? When her husband was in a meeting and told me she's the next Oprah and I had to smile and be like, nod my head. I am glad I don't have to do that anymore because it is clear. I also it's really it's difficult because I hate that like this. I don't know how to say this. Everybody who is going to come out and say things of this nature are going to be labeled as mean girls because women are maybe we haven't done the greatest job of being supportive. Like our generation was definitely not like groomed for that, groomed for that to like champion other women because we were told like it's you or her. Like, so fight your fight for the death. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:07 So it sucks because when it is warranted complaints, because I like seeing the cream rise to the top, whoever the you are. I want the person representing the female top of the mountain podcaster to be Amy Poehler. like when I listen to Amy Poehler's podcast I'm proud to be a woman in podcasting I love and I appreciate and I think that that that is like something really commendable but then to see less than awesome content become like the pinnacle of success it really is such a weird upside down feeling and you can't help but eventually just be like what the like what the Well, and it's also like beyond that, though, where it's like we have had some insider info of the background of things when it comes to that operation, too, where it's just like it's not like unbased opinions.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Right, right. I'm interested, like, as to what, how much, because they wouldn't have had an NDA. And the thing with book writing is that if it's your story, it's not like, if it's, if you experienced it firsthand, you can write about it. Like. You can write about it and like, so it's, it's funny, Alexis, my co-host. Yeah. What is the rule there? It's like, well, so for a lot of those things, it's like you want to tell stories that other people were there that can corroborate what was going on. Because if it's like a he said, she said, and it's only your two opinions, it's a lot harder. But it's like, you're not gonna lie. Like, you can't just lie in a memoir. You know what I mean? Like, without massive repercussions. It doesn't matter what's in the book. It just matters that the book is called Daddy Issues and the cover is like a cutout photo. Like we don't even need to read the book. You know what I mean? I mean, we do.
Starting point is 00:46:05 We will. I can't wait. I can't wait. And her is also a November book. When I saw it released, I was like, oh, my God, no. But don't worry. We're in different categories. I'm in self-help.
Starting point is 00:46:14 But also it's in support of the them. It's all in the same like ethos, you know? It's all part of the them movement. Let's just hold people accountable. Like, be great or don't be great. But, like, I don't know. I mean, I think there's, like, yeah. Be careful who you're nice to on the way up because you're going to see them on the way down.
Starting point is 00:46:34 That's all I got to say. Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Amen, sister. Amen. And on that note, we'll see you next Tuesday. See you next Tuesday. Bye.
