Starting point is 00:00:32 Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here. Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:00:46 I'm Becca Tobin. Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Barely. Did you almost forget our names? No, I almost burped. Let's be honest. We're barely here, guys. We're barely here.
Starting point is 00:00:55 second uh whiskey on the rocks and i am tipsy and i just had to try to record an ad and we had to just abort that mission i really i know you thought that i was judging you earlier when i was saying wow becca you're going really heavy on the word i'm not i am proud of you thank you because like that's all i want to do is drink whiskey just drink together and it never happens do you want to have cheers oh you guys this could be her only drunken well kelty's drinking tea that my husband and prepared for her it was so nice i know you know what i really want zach's a good man zach is a good man sorry you know what i really want to happen us to get shit faced yeah i really want kelty to get high by herself and then have us all record oh my okay like we're worse over like
Starting point is 00:01:42 drinking a little bit and then i have a do you want my weed no right now i have to go to dinner but i will do that next week you will yeah for sure you'll get because i've been deep in the weed pens really yeah every night before go to sleep what happens when you smoke do you have an existential crisis no just me it's great yeah i mean it's i'd still do it it's not great sometimes anyway you have to be tired or like ready for bed i know it's still okay um think about death well that's awkward um okay well uh now it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no who's going first well i'm gonna go first but before we start this we should probably like set the scene for them like we're not in the studio not right now no sounds weird it's because we're in my bedroom
Starting point is 00:02:28 i think it sounds pretty good it sounds good in my ears if this is if it sounds good then we're gonna do this always i like it better you like it i like being near to my office it's better for time management but okay this is pretty close to your office i mean either way it's not bad i'm driving an hour i did say when you bought this house that i want to make a podcast room in here we can yeah we should i mean it's just plenty of great time zach can make me tea it's gonna be amazing i don't know if he's gonna do that every time but like zach is not your butler yet could be yet if we start making more money i bet we could the right price he would be the so exactly no okay i'm gonna start off okay here's my it's really i i fought against the
Starting point is 00:03:10 urge to make this a bad week because i hated it so much that's probably great but i was in aspen for the weekend yes with my sister and her husband and zach it was like a fun little couple's trip and we went to uh so aspen is like a pretty small town at the end of the at the bottom of the mountain there's like that restaurant ajax which is like sceny and like everybody like loves it And then they set up this, like, little tent pop-up situation. And inside it, they were, like, putting Clif Bars in the toaster oven, which, by the way, you guys, hot tip, do it. That sounds good. It was so good.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Also, so cheap and bougie at the same time. That's what's so crazy. Cheap-ass, guys? Cheap. Cheap. And, like, so bougie. I think I might start doing it. Anyways, so in there was, like, Clif Bar, and there was, like, whiskey tastings.
Starting point is 00:04:03 and then there was like a little like lounge that they set up it was very like chic and cute and whatever and at one point um we had been sitting on this like leather couch for the majority of the like happy hour moment and then we get up from the couch and we go to the bar and we look over and there's like an older guy with like long flowing gray hair like beautiful hair he's like probably 70 his wife is with him like what about what a cute eccentric couple and then he had a dog bag like a little travel bag for a dog and i'm like i like him even more he's got a little pup in his bag and he just cut off the mountain guess what was in the bag that he took out and started to cuddle with like it was a dog a snake two turtles oh my god that's amazing iconic and
Starting point is 00:04:49 icon and aspen i wow was floored you can cuddle with a turtle he had it like in his face like the way that i make orally basically make out with me he had two turtles but then here's the here's the part that was my good week the bad week is that then they died they smell like shit they smell so bad they poop everywhere a lot of e coli like they carry e coli but his grandkids were there yeah and like they were playing with the turtles and then they took them out of the bag and put them on the leather couch that we've been sitting on and like you can't potty train turtles but they were there for a good hour which i think like there's the turtles were defecating on that couch that we've been sitting on and he was like a regular and people were like hey are
Starting point is 00:05:32 your turtles here today so like everybody loved him it's they appreciated the turtle poop it's so weird that's so unsanitary to have those just five seconds ago you love those turtles people were eating like i like i like a turtle but not around my food no that is so much fucking weird it's gross yeah it's full-blown gross and also here's my other argument when i see a dog in a dog bag i'm like okay so they're either traveling all right necessary or they're like at work and it's a long day but like your turtles can be at home no but that's his that's his identity he's like the turtle guy i mean his identity should be his beautiful hair not his turtle it's a whole thing that's his whole he's the empire it's his persona well if anybody lives
Starting point is 00:06:15 in aspen or visits frequently do you know the turtle guy was i just there on a really like whimsical weekend with him no he's like he's like that uh the rollerblading guy on the venice boardwalk that rollerblades with his guitar that everybody knows yes you're a household name okay well there's my good week bad week i'm gonna go i was also in the mountain this weekend i went to keystone for shredding the gnar such snow bunnies shredding the gnar no is there kazumi's does this event every year it's called 100k they invite everybody that sells this my good week because zoomies is fucking awesome such a great company to work with this event they invite anybody that sold over a hundred thousand dollars like in their store there's like thousands of kids there
Starting point is 00:06:55 it's you've sold over a hundred thousand in their store not me it's so it's not brands it's like kids or people that work at their store like sales people if they sell over that's cool a hundred thousand dollars then zoomies flies them out to keystone pays for everything their hotel their flight their snowboarding oh so it's like those all these parties we should do that for our podcasts for like you get so many more downloads on our network we'll take you to palm springs that's right no flights take you to whitley heights bitch okay so um it's cool and then like the top seller the top 10 sellers some of them get trips to like tokyo amsterdam all this shit the top seller won a fucking tesla and she won all this shit like a motorcycle how much did
Starting point is 00:07:37 she sell she sold eight hundred thousand dollars damn yeah and she got like a a custom shepherd fairy painting like all the shit whoa so good week zoomies is amazing i love working with them great bad week so when i'm there different brands will go up like adidas will go up and then all these they're like hype guys and they'll throw money out into the audience or you know one was throwing like t-shirts and then i don't remember what brand it was but then somebody goes up on stage and then starts throwing potatoes like full like not cooked potato uncooked potatoes and i'm filming it on my phone because i'm like this is weird because then they start throwing potatoes out then everybody in the audience starts throwing the potatoes back around it's
Starting point is 00:08:17 dangerous and then before i know it i get hit in the head with a fucking potato and you think you look like a potato it's like a potato square it's meta i got hit in the head by myself that was my bad week wow kelty can you talk that i i don't shut these curtains no i love it i love it no it's fine okay um i don't know if i can top this but uh i had as you know i had my parents in town for a long time this fall and over the holidays before we left on our trip i had my brother my mom and my dad um at home and we decided the night before we left for our trip that we would do christmas even though it wasn't quite christmas yet so we're all sitting in the living room we're having wine and tea and we're unloading like all of our gifts to each other
Starting point is 00:09:01 and opening up and then my matt's my brother picks up this thing he's like oh this is for chris and chris is like oh great and so chris like starts taking out these bottles out of this thing and he's like oh there must be a card and he reads the card and it's from one of his clients like these musician and the card says like for for your sexy r&r times it's a bottle of dom and then a ton of cbd lube what so we're in the living room with my parents and and chris is like is it omax no he was like he's like oh my god oh my god he's like oh and we have like a laugh and then my mom's like what is it and then we're like it's nothing it's nothing and matt's like i didn't want to say and then chris just looks up and he goes it's lube oh yes chris get it chris yeah i was like
Starting point is 00:09:49 well this is embarrassing what's next anyway so that was pretty mortifying and then we instantly texted the client. We're like, we're like, yeah, we just opened your present in front of our parents. And then he was like, no, Robin thick. I can't tell you who it was, but it was a great gift. It was taking much time. No, it was not. Um, okay. So my good week, my good week is that a woman in the Facebook group who also follows me on Instagram named Kendall Grazi, she follows me and she is an illustrator or someone that knows how to illustrate. And she saw that I was practicing my Bujo lettering on my practice sheets. And I was like, there's only so many practice sheets in this book. I'm going to run out. She made me a custom Kelty Bujo practice sheet so I can
Starting point is 00:10:34 practice all the lettering and then words that I would use like lady gang and Kelty. So she wrote them out. She wrote them out and then she emailed them to me. And then I had Chelsea print out 10 copies. So I have 10 booklets to work through. So I just want to say thank you. It was so nice and thoughtful. Sorry. I mean, I'm mad she's enabling you, but it is nice. That is a very cute gesture. Why don't Lady King people don't send me shit?
Starting point is 00:10:59 Because you don't have fun interests. I have a lot of fun interests. So many interests. I ski. I do yoga. What are they going to send you? A yoga mat? Like, I have interests that nerds can, like, help you with.
Starting point is 00:11:08 You have cheap interests. You're a dick. Okay. Stop wasting your nights on a mattress that doesn't get you. experience the most comfortable mattress in the world the sleep number smart bed at the touch of a button you can personalize your comfort choose firmer or softer adjust cooler to warmer and right now save up to twenty five hundred dollars during our massive labor day event hurry into your local sleep number store today because we have your number when we come back we're gonna talk to an
Starting point is 00:11:43 expensive lady yeah now back to the lady gang our guest today is someone you may know from the wildly popular netflix series you rising from the dead her character candace perfectly haunts joe as she tries to seek revenge for everything he's done but when you aren't binging that you may know this actress from her roles on all my children ray donovan and aquarius she also owns a stunning jewelry collection and has created what she calls a beautiful chaos in her spectacularly blended home please welcome to the show someone who doesn't haunt us nearly as much as her roles amber childers oh thank you thank you do we want to say the fun fact that this is your first podcast sure i can't believe you've never done a podcast no it's so exciting your own jewelry i am
Starting point is 00:12:28 i love it so good these pieces are coming out for valentine's day oh i know what's the name of the company it's just amber shoulders it was amber shoulders jewelry and then i got this idea that i was like oh i could turn it into a brand something else but that that obviously takes a lot of time and effort so right now we're just we're sticking with jewelry yeah don't we know it girl you're going to thing it yes what did she start with just the blog i guess just the yoni egg and the egg and the vagina but that wasn't hers did you see that she put out the candle this week that was like this candle smells like vagina yeah yeah and what does that smell like i don't know and then the internet put like got it for cheaper and it was a can of tuna with a candle in it
Starting point is 00:13:08 Oh, that's so wrong on so many levels. Everyone's vaginas smell different. I thought it smells like her vagina, I guess. Oh my God. I love you guys already. We're not even drinking and we're like straight to the vagina topic. Sorry. Um, okay.
Starting point is 00:13:23 I want to know this. Do you think it's creepy or cool that the entire you fan base wants to be kidnapped by Joe? Yeah. It's freaking weird. It's so weird. And I, you know, when I'm doing interviews or when I did interviews about the show, people would ask me and they're like well what and i'm like i can't even like come up with like an intelligent answer besides like people are nuts yeah and people actually do this shit in
Starting point is 00:13:49 real life and it's not well not that not the killing part well well yes they do but like yeah stalking yes sometimes sometimes they do but like you only want to stalk her if it's hot pen yeah yeah right i've been waiting for him to stalk me for a decade like he's actually on his way from new york right now coming to stalk you cool finally don't you guys have like the like um i'll make you do what i want fantasy that's not really what he does though in the show no i know but like i like i'm not not no i i think like after i i i went through a divorce i'm like you're gonna do what i want now yeah like the tables like definitely turned for me so isn't that crazy like even being married i'm like god i really should have kicked this off a little
Starting point is 00:14:39 more alpha like i really i really should have just laid down the law i agree with you though because i was in a very um unhealthy relationship for a while and then with my new boyfriend i kicked it off very alpha yeah i'm like we're doing all the things that i want now it's interesting how different relationships bring out different parts of you and I really really appreciate the relationship I'm in now because I get to play the different versions of of who I am as a as an entrepreneur as an actress as a woman as a mother as like a friend like all these things and it feels really really good I love that how did you meet your fiance we met through a mutual friend um it was you met at the kidnappers association yeah yeah yeah um it was in
Starting point is 00:15:27 hollywood at some margaritaville like single day my mind you i never go out i'm like such a home body i'm sleeping at eight i had just gone through divorce i was like yeah mama's going out i'm gonna like go get me some and i we just talked and like i grew up mormon and he grew up mormon and like we just had like so many things in common. I'm like, Oh my God, are you kidding? But now when looking back, I really manifested him in my life. Like when I got, when I was in my marriage and it wasn't going well. And I'm like, what do I want in a, you know, in a husband and in a partner? And, and now that I have that, it's like, wow, you really can manifest anything in your life. So, um, that's how we met. So wait, you didn't play, you didn't post divorce, go on a crazy,
Starting point is 00:16:16 single girl rampage. Were you trying to? Were you trying to? You went out for the first time and then you met this guy? No, because I don't think anyone would have actually dated me because I literally am such a homebody.
Starting point is 00:16:27 I'm like an old person. If you ask any of my friends, they're like, do you realize you're like 80 years old and stuck in a 31-year-old body? I'm like, sorry. There's nothing like... I also hate people.
Starting point is 00:16:37 It's okay. But then I look at my friends who can rage and I'm like, God damn it. I wish I had that energy. Nope. I don't either.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Nope. I do. I don't like that. to leave the house yeah so it's a type but don't be don't feel shameful when's your birthday uh july 18th i'm a cancer yeah yeah um how has it been like the social media following of the show is crazy has it been so nutso bananas i have a question like kind of like that too where when the show first started out was it on the cw at first it was on lifetime lifetime and then it was kind of they dumped us that well really yeah that's really what happened and then now it's a
Starting point is 00:17:15 massive hit well what what what happened is that lifetime had us it i don't know if it did well they just didn't whatever i mean there's obviously different reasons and i i know that lifetime was going like reconstructing their their platform um netflix had our international and we killed it internationally um and so when the show was up i think brillanti basically was like went to netflix and said hey do you guys want our domestic out you know the show for the domestic and they were like yeah sure so they took it and like literally just went it was crazy it was cool but it just shows you that one show may not work on a platform but like as soon as you change it you know and now there's so many platforms it's like you there's an opportunity you just have to be really smart
Starting point is 00:17:58 with your product right and what you do with it right amen story of the lady man a to the man now season three's announced no i'm not on the show but i what i am doing is um i'm really excited I teamed up with Caroline Ketnes who is the author of the book and we've created or she created a show for me and now we're going in she basically wrote a short story and we're going to expand that so I literally just had calls today about you know the show and I think for me that's like the next my next move is like creating and being in control of like my career as like so many examples are happening when are you going to marry jeff margaritaville tinsley i don't know i don't know no i'm not in a rush i really i'm not second
Starting point is 00:18:41 marriages are the is this your second marriage yeah me too yeah i'm on my second and it's the jam first marriages are shit second weddings so much more fun i didn't have a wedding so that i didn't experience i eloped the first one wedding no really no um so i'm you might have gotten it right the first time wrong date but right no i'm not a bride and that's like that's the thing he wants to have a wedding mind you he has three kids I have two kids there's a lot of chaos like a wedding is not something that we're thinking about we're just trying to like raise five children to be good human beings in the world and like all of them have their own crap that's like not good right so they're kids how old are all the kids so my youngest is six that's Riley then
Starting point is 00:19:23 there's Savannah who's seven London my eldest who's 10 Ryan 13 and Erica who's 15 holy now does erica watch you she does now the first season they wouldn't let her and i was like come on she watches like riverdale and like all these other shows i'm like just let her watch it teen porn is fine yeah right soft porn of course why not honey yeah um so yeah five kids your daughters are so cute like thank you so so cute one of them plays the guitar or like she's like obsessed and she goes to a jewish day school so like my afternoon is filled with like judaism in my house and like she's just like singing hebrew and like my older daughter gets so annoyed and i'm just like you know what just roll with it you know yeah she's gonna be like a cute little
Starting point is 00:20:10 blonde rabbi in the making i love it um what was it like hanging with oprah i mean i wouldn't go that far but it was pretty amazing can you tell me the story i don't know an oprah i don't either so i was in santa barbara with my man and uh i had a dream that night and i swear i'm like i didn't even take drugs or anything because you know sometimes if you take like nyquil or like whatever it is it just my every night yeah yeah yeah um yeah but they came out with the melatonin one anyways that's like a whole another conversation the melatonin dreams i heard are fucking bonkers i they don't do anything to me but yeah i went through a whole thing of cookie dough when I don't ask. Um, so I woke up at like five and I was like mid dream and I was
Starting point is 00:20:56 like, babe, babe, I, I, I like, I met Oprah and she had something to tell me and he's like, okay. I was like, I'm going to try to go back to sleep because I really feel like this is like, I'm going to be there. I want to get back to the dream. Like this is very, right. And it was so vivid. it felt so real so the day goes on and i'm sitting outside uh the hotel and i'm looking out towards the ocean it was at the rosewood and all of a sudden no oprah walks in front of me no way my heart stopped completely and i was like are you i said i have i have to say something now being in the business like i don't like to bother people unless like i really look up to them or have like a friend in common. Um, but I knew that that was my chance. And the fact
Starting point is 00:21:51 that like I had a dream, I was like, okay, the universe is like clearly trying to tell me something. And I went up to her and I was like, Ms. Oprah, I'm free. I don't even know what to call you at this point. Like you, like, um, I was like, I know this is going to sound like a complete nut right um i had a dream about you last night and i had like you had something to tell me and she was like oh i don't know what it is but like i could give you a hug i was like okay and she like hugged me oh my gosh the woman is i don't even know how to describe it and i don't know what she was supposed to tell me but i it was almost like a bucket list check you know like a checklist that i went through because i grew up when i was uh when i was younger i would watch her and
Starting point is 00:22:43 interview like all these actors and i'm like god one day like i want her to interview me and i just i just felt like what she did for the world and like um it was just such such an amazing moment in my life so yeah that's the that's the oprah story i love that oprah's still willing to hug people like even becca won't hug people well that's i've never hugged anyone ever but like a personal choice personal yeah but like you hugged me that's true i think yeah see i did you guys um that's so crazy that she i mean she that's very nice yeah that is nice she could be like hello from afar if i were oprah did she have security with her no she was going to lunch with uh maybe no no no no it was somebody that she worked with but it was honestly i i will like
Starting point is 00:23:27 when i'm on my deathbed i will remember that moment that's cute i feel like maybe in your dream she'll tell you again i think it's not over i think this is like i'm gonna see her again in my life and then i could give her jewelry and then like it'll be amazing yeah i love it all right on that note we're gonna play a game called psycho hot or psycho not jack ted bundy i mean no psycho not i mean he was very he was but i can't remember but that's the thing i feel like joe joe and uh you is very much modeled after ted bundy or lots of quirks of him and even some of The outfits that he has worn are very Ted Bundy-esque. Becca?
Starting point is 00:24:05 Well, I'm picturing Zac Efron, so I'm going to go hot. Also, Ted Bundy was small. Yeah, so is Zac Efron. I mean, he's muscly, but he's little. Do you have an opinion? He also has very delicate features. I mean, if we're talking about Zac, then Psycho Hot. Yeah, I think Psycho Hot.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Charles Manson. Oh, my God. Charles Manson. Wait. No. I've got to Google. oh god no five five okay and i like that you know all the heights and he had a swastika idiot carved into his okay so so then you'd vote psycho yes not not yeah so not but there's
Starting point is 00:24:44 something about like the 70s grunge that i or 60s grunge like i love it like a good beard like i understand why he thought he was going to be like world famous well because he was a megalomania yeah yeah but like he had whatever that is like he had an it factor he had an it factor clearly clearly he got a lot of people to like you know believe in him yeah okay andrew cunanan psychonaut i'm not gonna wait who versace killer darren chris are we talking about darren should we talk about the actors no we're talking yeah i mean i don't care it's not i i'm not like the oprah of this game like you do however you want to play i think i'm gonna go with not um but that's because like i have no he only killed like men right because he was he was gay
Starting point is 00:25:34 i don't know and so he killed like lovers and versace so he would want nothing to do with me and that makes me feel like that's not hot at all yeah yeah he wants nothing to do with me it's not hot but is it you know like you want oh no no no I do love a man and I don't know if he did this but Darren did it in the Versace thing in a circle glasses like the circle glasses you have not exactly like these peepers oh but I like a man I've seen something in a circle glass have you ever seen anything so I know it's ugly I'm wearing it on purpose to make you guys feel better about yourself where did you get those I got them sent to me in the mail because I'm an I actually, she gets, like, really bad free stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:15 She gets, like, wet seal stuff. Like, rude. I think they're bankrupt, okay? They are. They're trying to get rid of their... Do you like getting free stuff from brands? You know, this is the first, like, month that I've ever gotten a free... What?
Starting point is 00:26:31 Yes. It was, like, felt so... A free what? A gift. A gift. Oh, like a nice gift? No, it was, like, hair product. That was the first time?
Starting point is 00:26:40 Yes, I was so excited. They were probably like, she's rich. She can buy it herself. That's why they send stuff to us. They're like, they will buy it. I wouldn't go that far. I'm a single mom. I have two kids, and I'm an actor.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Okay, actors, I mean, unless you're like Jennifer Aniston or there's no trust fund at all. If you want these circle glasses, you can have them. No, I would feel so guilty even taking them. Please take them and never, ever bring them back. I could pop a broth in them. The game is over. When we come back, you're going to help us fix our girls' lives. you're listening to the lady gang and we're back i i don't think anybody should ever take
Starting point is 00:27:20 those glasses from me kelsey i actually i'm getting quite used to you in them it almost goes with your vibe it looks so good it somehow looks good okay i'm gonna wear them tonight so this part of our podcast our listeners writing questions and we try to give them advice sometimes it's bad advice sometimes it's good advice but we just tell them what we think okay okay all right first question comes from anonymous so i just got my annual pap done and my results came back abnormal they told me they need in there say like 500 times they told me they needed me to come in for a follow-up appointment of course i'm thinking i have cancer i remember becca talking about having abnormal cells and having a procedure done it's called a colposcopy and i am telling her
Starting point is 00:28:02 that leap the colposcopy is like the the scrape they take it out to biopsy it right yeah anyways she was like please tell me more i'm freaking out my appointment is not for three weeks i think pretty much everybody's have have you had an abnormal pap yeah yeah last year yeah really yeah i mean anytime you introduce like a new penis no it is like if a lot of times when you new bacteria yeah your your ph levels get all funky also if they tell you you have hpv don't freak out because three-fourths of women have it and sometimes probably more it's like 80 percent of sexually active women have it yeah yeah it's probably thank you dr jack no but it's true always how many times have you said this on the podcast what it's like it's like you keep talking to
Starting point is 00:28:48 yourself you're like because she feels bad about it every time she's like it's totally normal everyone there's no stigma there's no there isn't you do you but every time we bring it up you're like and by the way hpv many people have it no because it's true and no it's people out it's true because they're like sd and it's like it's not it's not a big deal all you have to do is get paps every six months it doesn't have any symptoms well a lot of people do freak out when they get this like one of my best friends is i'm like you've lived 33 years and you're you're still freaked out about hpv like you should know that this is not a big deal yeah It's a big deal if you go a long time without getting a pap smear because HPV can turn into something scary.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Yeah. Cervical cancer. But the percentage of people that have an abnormal pap smear and need a colposcopy or even a leap that leads to something scary is very small if you stay on top of it. And even if it does, yeah, you just have to stay on top of it. It's not like you're all of a sudden going to have cancer out of nowhere. Yeah. But I will say like the leap, it's, I didn't expect it to be like a full blown procedure and it was like anesthesia and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:30:01 And they go in there and basically like scrape out. But don't they have to do a colposcopy before you get the leap? Yeah. They do the colposcopy to see if they need to do the leap. Yeah. So yeah. Why such a negative thing called leap? Leap makes me feel like it's like a, oh, just going over to the doctor's to have a leap.
Starting point is 00:30:18 I feel like leap sounds fun. Sounds fun. I don't like leap. It should be. it's a gnarly procedure it should have a gnarly name it's not that gnarly i mean you went under the knife i love going under anesthesia so like i'm not really complaining it's incredible that shot they give you like right before they put you under and they're like just chill and you're like oh what is it everything is right i think it's like propofol like it's just you out
Starting point is 00:30:41 it's like from yeah yeah you have that feeling i love it so much you get wheeled in and you're like oh god oh god you're anxious it's weird like there's all these people i don't know and And they shoot you with that and you're like, it's fine. And then you're like, it's amazing. So good. Jack. Next question comes from grapefruit bubbly. Don't know what that means.
Starting point is 00:31:01 My ex and I broke up almost two years ago. I was very close with his daughter and I miss her every day, leading me to even stalk her mom's social media to see new pictures of her. Even though I've been dating someone new for a year, I'm really concerned I'll always feel guilty about walking away from a little girl that was like a daughter to me. I'm 26 and I've been to therapy to work through a lot of my grief, but I want to know if it gets any better with age and time. I'm the only one of my friends that's dated somebody with a child. I can put, well, you don't have kids. My first like instinct when I, you know, after hearing you read that was, you know, it doesn't
Starting point is 00:31:38 hurt to, if she, depending on if she had a relationship with a mom or not and how things ended. But I think women reaching out to other women is so important. And just being honest, like I developed a really great relationship with your daughter or I really, you know, yeah, I developed a good relationship. And it would mean like the most if I could take you guys all out for coffee or lunch or we can go play at the park or something because stalking is not good. It's just not like it doesn't. And if you're in therapy because of it, it's just like you might as well. Don't waste your money.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Reach out like, you know, and just try. the worst that could happen is she says like no and don't ever contact me yeah then you know that's my take on it it's definitely like a sticky situation though because then i feel like the guy the ex could take it as like a way for her to try to stay close to him if he right i have a story what when i was married for the first time my first husband had a young sister half sister who is like five six seven when we are together and was like at that magical age where she just like loved me right and we were like real tight and we're like wearing princess dresses and we're always playing together and it was like really wonderful and i felt like i had a big part in
Starting point is 00:32:52 this child's life really massive and was like oh my god and then when we broke up i was like poor i'm gonna call her nicole poor nicole she's gonna be so heartbroken she's really gonna miss me like this is she's gonna be up for the rest of her life she's gonna have these like you came in my life and then you left like where are you and then like a few years ago she's thriving no a few years ago i was making i was making amends with everything that i had done really wrong in my life and i had written that my first husband this letter to be like i want to make amends with like how i kind of fucked up whatever and i was trying to send it to his address and so i face i found her on facebook and i sent a message i was like hey i was your husband's you know your brother's
Starting point is 00:33:31 first wife like i'm trying to send him a letter do you have an address and she was like i've never heard of you she's like who are you and then she was like wait are you famous like that was her first question no so i know you incredible yeah so i know you feel like you have been this major force in this little child's life but like she's a child kids are resilient they're really resilient so if it's about you like you making it right for you then that's one thing but if it's your you said in your letter like i feel so guilty for walking out the girl's gonna be well i don't know she don't know who you are anymore oh yeah she said that well also i mean this i my ex had kids and it was the same thing and i think about his daughter all the time because i'm like she was
Starting point is 00:34:14 such a big part of my life when i was dating her him and i was such a mother figure to her when i was dating him so it's like i get that where it's like you still want to be a part and like be a leader in somebody's life but there also is a point where you just sometimes maybe also need to walk away yeah yeah because you have to be honest with yourself like what are my intentions exactly i'm doing this so yeah because it could end up keeping your wound open for way too long yes exactly it's like when you take a dog from an ex-boyfriend oh my god dog another 10 years and then every time the dog dies and you're like i guess i should tell him the dog died but like i don't even talk to you anymore like you break up and you try to like share
Starting point is 00:34:50 custody with your dog i tried to do that for like a year you can't share custody with dogs yeah i'm not gonna say anything it just gets complicated that's all it does like divorce is complicated i don't wish it on my worst enemy how long have you been divorced i don't even know yeah because it's like a process yeah there was a process and like yeah stuff so it's who knows and we're we yeah anyways next what's next on the table life is complicated up okay last question comes from anonymous there's a guy in my friend group that has liked almost all of my girlfriends when one girl turns him down he's on to the next he's now labeled as desperate and weird i've always stayed quiet when the others talk about him because secretly i've always had a
Starting point is 00:35:41 crush on him let's make this happen that's weird he's saving the best for last he is super friendly funny and there is nothing really wrong with him i feel like he may ask me out but i don't know what to say if i go out with him i don't want my friends to think i'm not as great or as wanted as them help oh god this is hard i don't know this is hard has he slept with all the other girls or he's asked them i'm sure there's been some like canoodling like right that would be weird there's probably some canoodling but hold on when but it doesn't say he's dated all of my friends let's say he's liked all my friends so he's probably like oh i have a crush on becca and then it's like trying to make her jealous use the word liked which means this is someone who's young
Starting point is 00:36:21 yeah yeah okay this is someone who's young and let me just tell you as i grew up in a small town Everyone liked everyone else. My best friend Katie has had sex with a guy I made out with. It was very intermingly because that's just what it is when there's your limited amount of people around you. The big bad world hasn't opened its doors of dicks for you yet. And HPV. You said it, not me.
Starting point is 00:36:41 I swear I was going there. I was like, listen. Go get that HPV, girl. Yeah. So I say you do you. You could definitely just make him go get checked if you're older and he's actually like, I would make you go, I'd be like, listen, go to the doctor, get checked, and then we can talk.
Starting point is 00:36:53 And then you could take me on a date. And then also use a condom. And then every word, but she's not even talking about sex. Like, is she going to look like a loser if she dates him? No, go up to him and be like, I know you're looking for a partner. No, I'd like to audition. No, her question was, she doesn't want to look like a loser to her friend. Your friends are losers.
Starting point is 00:37:10 It's kind of like, it's kind of like when you guys went in the lady gang with me and you're like, Oh, I really want to do it. Cause it seems fun, but also Kelsey's a loser. It's going to really bring my club down. It's going to bring my brand down. Oh my God. I mean, do you girl? i i feel like yes your friends are going to talk about you behind your back because that's what
Starting point is 00:37:31 women do but mostly because he's labeled creepy and weird yeah you need to redefine him or maybe do you think that he's liked you all along maybe he has a jealous maybe he has a brother yeah that's a good one a brother would be good see if he has a brother that's not desperate creepy or resilient i like a man who plays the field what you're such an idiot there are a lot of those men out there so i think you're gonna have a lot of luck with that we can find you one okay on that note let me bring my notes back those glasses i cannot with those glasses now if you love amber which you clearly do you can follow her at her name amber childers childers underscore official now can we get the
Starting point is 00:38:18 jewelry here too also can we get who has amber children on your instagram you can yeah where the who the is amber childers no that's me so my so i changed both yeah i have both oh i got my so originally this was the first one i had because someone else like a fan or something and then i recently just got amber childers it's very exhausting having it is and so i have a question where's the jewelry on amber shoulders but i actually promote on both so it's really messy But you should just follow both. It's very beautiful. If you want to be fabulous, get into Amber's world of jewelry.
Starting point is 00:38:55 And also, we don't know bedding in the future. Who knows? We don't know. Could be a throw pillow with your name on it, girl. Okay. So happy for you. And we love you. Thank you for coming and talking Real Talk with us.
