Starting point is 00:00:00 Lady Gang Tour is officially like 2.5 weeks away and today in our newsletter, if you got it, our official dress code was revealed. We are going to reveal more, but you want to go on to the Lady Gang site and sign up for the newsletter so you can stay up to date on all things Lady Gang. But that is right. We are doing sparkles, tiaras, prom, over the top, good stuff. I want you to wear your bridesmaid's dresses you only got to wear once, your wedding dress that you only got to wear once or twice or three times. I want to see the sparkles and the feathers and the tiaras and the glitter eye makeup and the glitter boots and the glitter shoes and the feather boas. And we are so freaking excited to see you on tour. Tickets are selling right now for our first two dates, Austin and Dallas, which we're so excited about coming to in August. And tickets are available at theladygang.com slash tour.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Unfortunately, VIP is already sold out in both of those cities, but we have a few GA tickets left, and every GA girl is getting some real, real cool freebies for their ticket. So it's going to be so worth it. Come alone, come with a group. Just come and see us and hug us and love us, and we're so excited to see you and get dressed up with you. Tickets are available at theladygang.com slash tour.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Let us know where you're coming. Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here. Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Lady Gang. I am Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Hello. Let's fucking do this. I got to get right into this. It's very important. Something big has happened. Okay. All right. Well,
Starting point is 00:01:46 it's time for good week. Yes, it is bad week. Oh no. Okay. I want to start with my bad week. First of all, I love that. I'm now getting creeped on, on Instagram. Like I have a couple, like, I feel like a sex symbol. I have a couple creepy guys that are like texting and DMing me. Um, and, and that's fine. I'm, I'm really good with it. I love the attention, but one of them was brazen enough to leave a comment out in public view that I had to hide on a photo and they were like this is a great photo my only question is shaven or a landing strip in public this is a public comment is this a real man or is this like a bot I mean I think it's a real man I don't know if there's a how do you do your pubic hair
Starting point is 00:02:39 bot up yeah that's what i'm saying it just seems like normally the bots are like hot look yeah fire emojis anyway does he also dm you or is he just commenting sometimes yeah no he got brazen so i had to hide the comment i was like well this is like a lot of information but then i was very like all of a sudden i was like well oh my god i don't know what we're doing with our pubic hair these days like what I think it's just I think it's choose your own adventure no I know but I was like a landing strip like I mean it's that's very vintage I feel it feels vintage I don't know I don't know so anyway I did then it was immediately followed by a dream for something I'm doing for the tour that I'm really excited about um but then like in my dream the thing
Starting point is 00:03:29 that i'm doing was see-through and all my pubes were coming out like i had like a large bush so it was just like there's been a lot of emotions about this one comment um i'm actually number one i cannot wait to see what the you are planning for tour your performance performance ready okay my good week is this you know that we talk about jojo siwa all the time yeah and we haven't been able to get her we've tried to get her on the podcast it's unavailable i got told last night at work hey kelty how do you feel about dancing with jojo siwa she's coming to e-news oh wow and my boss was like i need you to learn both dances are you doing karma karma and the new one which is very difficult and then i was what's the new song she's got this new song that and
Starting point is 00:04:22 and the dance break it's the dance break from the music video but my worry is this i'm gonna do karma but my wig will fly off well because which could be really good for the internet no yes create a viral moment you know and i need you to be doing that 100 the beginning part where she's like yeah like i know half assery here like no i'm so excited you don't think i mean kelty of all people is gonna really give it i know i know but i'm like in my dress do i wear a sweatsuit first and then make a change. Like I don't, I have to really think this through a big pressure for me at work tonight. Big pressure. Wow. I am so excited for that moment for you. Yeah. Thank you. It's going to be so good. And then I'm going to be like, yo, can you come on the lady gang?
Starting point is 00:05:04 We love you. Like, yeah, let's go. We have so much to ask her. Cause she keeps coming up all the time. All the time. Um, topic. Okay. So I need to go because my good week is our queen, our Lord and savior jojo siwa reposted one of my tech talks now it is obviously a clip that we've been talking about her because every episode we end up talking about jojo siwa in some way or another and they they usually do like okay on tiktok but i'm like why is this one going viral like i don't know it's not like a specific like i don't think it was exceptionally funny but i go and i look at the comments and all the comments are jojo reposted jojo reposted saw it from Jojo's feed. So we're in the zeitgeist. Maybe that's why she's coming on
Starting point is 00:05:47 e-news because she saw us talking about her. Like this is, this is the bottom of it. Kelty, when she's there, you must find out if this is why. Yeah. Be like, is it because you saw us like singing your praises? Yeah. And we were so nice. I mean, we love her. We're just, I mean, she's just the most fascinating person to us. So I think that that's, I'm so jealous. She reposted you and not me i know it was me i mean we're close to a million now so whoa the fan the fans are in wow that means she saw it you know what i'm gonna find out did she see it or did her people see it i don't know i think i think she controls her own tiktok judging by the content i'll find out or it's someone really good or it's somebody really good i'll find out for you okay so my
Starting point is 00:06:33 bad week is I mean it's been amazing living in Orange County being in our new house but the only thing that I was dreading is the drive up to LAX Jared and I travel a lot Jared travels more than I do which is really a bummer for me because now I am responsible for driving him up to LAX we're trying to fly out of Orange County Airport because it's really close to us it's like 20 minutes away it's the same distance as our old apartment was from LAX but I had to do the drive yesterday it took three hours and 15 minutes to make the round trip like i could have driven to vegas by driving him to the airport it was horrendous of course there was a car accident like it was a whole thing and i got stuck at the airport i couldn't i couldn't figure out how to
Starting point is 00:07:20 get out because now i have a new route home like oh no it was a whole thing um but it's it's not great guys it's jack it's gonna take you seven hours to get here to do lady gang i know well his problem is his flight was at nine so it was we're driving right at rush hour i'm like do an earlier flight we gotta like leave at 5 30 6 a.m 4 in the morning we gotta do the early the early flight thing but god you guys i it's it's it's not great i really took advantage of it being so close to the airport but now you're close to your parents which is better i'm not i mean i there's no reason to drive other than coming up for lady gang and driving to the airport so yeah it'll be fine you'll have a lot of good books on tape you know yeah that's true podcasts yeah yeah but how
Starting point is 00:08:04 are we gonna get the digital things we need from jack if she's drunk because she's always like i'll do it when i get home i'm driving but now she could be driving for seven hours i know i know sorry new excuse for me great yeah oh god oh my god becca okay um this is a trigger warning this is a very sad, bad week. I'm going to keep it together. I'm very good at compartmentalizing my emotions, which I'm about to do. I do not have a good week because my bad week is that Orly, my sweet, sweet, sweet soulmate, passed away in her sleep a couple nights ago. um it was horrendous and horrible and um she was only 10 and little dogs are supposed to live longer yeah um so i feel very cheated i will say that the only saving grace is that she did not
Starting point is 00:09:01 suffer it was something that was like a growth in her abdomen that apparently can go a long time without being figured out. And even if it is, it's fast growing and it's also very difficult to remove. And there's going to be a lot of people that are like, when Maddie Mitchell was on the podcast, I was like, don't give the dog chemo. I was like, don't give the dog chemo. And I had a dog. The reason I talked about that was because I did have a dog when I moved to LA that I had from the time I was like 20 living in New York. Her name was Sophie. And when she was six, she had cancer and I got talked into spending, you know, $30,000 to do radiation on this little thing. And she's six years old. And like the process of, of putting her under for the radiation
Starting point is 00:09:50 and all the things to me, my opinion was that it was just not a quality of life and it ended up killing her anyway. So that was like my whole thing. And I have deep regret on how I handled things with Sophie because I wish I could have just like let her go on without the medical intervention that took away a lot of her like joy and quality of life and didn't even work out. So I am grateful. I think the universe works in weird ways that like, I did always say that I couldn't go through that again. Like I don't even want, I didn't want to be given that hard choice to make with, with Orly. And so it, it is really very crazy the way that it happened. It was in middle of the night. And from the time I noticed that she was struggling from the time that we got
Starting point is 00:10:36 her to the emergency vet, she wasn't even alive anymore. So it was, it was 10 minutes. And so it was horrible. You know, it's just been, um, I'm not going to cry. You can cry if you need to, honey. There's nothing worse than a pet because humans, you can always find something to hate. Exactly. Yeah. And, or, and, or, and you can be like, well, you know, they were kind of shitty about that. Yeah. You know, and dogs are so pure. I was thinking about you and Orly represents a real journey in your life and the healing of this trauma you went through. It was your soul dog who really saved your life, you know? And so I'm so glad you had her. She was so magical. She was so special. She was super special. What's really insane. I wasn't sure if I was going to
Starting point is 00:11:28 share this because it's like I don't want people met first of all I I love all of you so much but like even when my closest friends have been texting me things like it's too much for me like I emotionally like I can't really take it on so I know that you all are so you've been so sweet a lot of you even saw Orly on tour with us like she came on so I I love you all please just don't send me messages with your apologies or anything like I know it's annoying to hear that but like I'm not that person. Yeah. And I wasn't sure if I was going to share this. Cause again, I don't want like any unsolicited, whatever, but like, um, it's just too crazy and so weird to like not share. So 10 years ago, um, my boyfriend passed away and that's why I got Orly. So my mom, the
Starting point is 00:12:16 episode with my mom, actually recently we discussed it, how my mom was like, I really wanted you to get a dog because it's like something to take care of and love and whatever. When I was in so much pain. And so I got Orly and Orly in Hebrew means my light. So I was like, she has to bring me light because I'm in so such a dark place. And she totally has. And she did for 10 years. And, um, Matt went to bed on the night of July 9th, 2014, and he did not wake up the morning of July 10th, 2014. Orly went to bed on July 9th, 2024. Oh my God. And did not wake up July 10th of 2024. It is crazy. I was already, you know, dreading that anniversary. And the fact that I was like, realizing this as it's happening and like the weird synchronicity of it all,
Starting point is 00:13:10 I don't know the meaning of it. I want to say, like, I hope to God, like, I'm, I'm not religious, but I'm spiritual. And I just hope like, this is something orchestrated by something bigger than me. But it is just, needless to say, on July 9, for the rest of my life, I'm going to lock myself and all my loved ones in a bunker. So nothing bad happens again. um but yeah that's that's been um it's been tough you know it's just i miss her yeah yeah well thank you for sharing and i'm sorry that this is like gonna be like such a fun podcast with page to sorbo no it's good i mean listen this is life this is like the highs and lows and you know i um it's a testament to what a bitch i am the fact that you're even working today no I wanted to I wanted to I really it made me so happy to be able to we already recorded with Paige and it's coming up next but like to hear you laugh and kind of get distracted at least for an hour was I think really good for you and with now we'll leave you alone and we just we love you
Starting point is 00:14:22 so much that is love you so much crazy story and we have so many good memories thank god we hired all those photographers on tour and Katie because no one you gotta take her on tour you're like this is like the biggest goal for you you're like I don't need my son or anything here like I just cared about having her like with you yeah and there's a bit of me that's like listen I don't I don't know why it happened the way it did but she got you good you know what I mean she got you she got you settled she got you married she got you into motherhood like she transitioned you through the toughest part of your life and she was your light and she knew like, you know what I mean? Like, no, it's true. I think about like, I don't, you know, part of me and Zach's
Starting point is 00:15:07 relationship, I think in the beginning was really like, it solidified to me what a good daddy was going to be watching him with Orly. And also, you know, we had first started dating and it was only within a couple months that I had to go do some sort of job for only a couple of days. But, but like I needed someone to watch Orly and he was like, I'll watch your dog for you. And she was still a puppy. Like, you know, she, and he would send pictures of her like laying on his desk when he was working. And that was like the beginning of our relationship. So she, you know, our little family was formed like so early on and she was able to show me like a glimpse of what Zach was going to be like as like, as a dad. And it was just like, yeah, it was stuff like that, that
Starting point is 00:15:51 I'm like holding on to and just sort of hoping that there's like a bigger thing out there than just, you know, sad people losing their sad dogs. Um, okay. Well, thank you guys. And I hope you guys enjoy this episode. I love you guys. I love you too. Go, go hug that baby. Okay. Love you. Okay. Coming up next page is here and she's very fabulous. now back to the lady gang our guest today is reality royalty and the queen of summer house she was recognized by variety magazine as one of the 40 most powerful women in reality tv she's a fashion icon known for her epic confessionals and unfiltered everything and she's turned summer into a year-round extravaganza with her top-rated podcast giggly squad a nationwide sold-out tour
Starting point is 00:16:44 and a brand new book, How to Giggle, coming out April 15th, 2025. Please welcome, oh, and a brand new Amazon series. Please welcome to the gang, the beautiful and hilarious Paige DeSorbo. Guys, I feel like my mom wrote that and sent it in to you. She did. If you don't say this about her. Thank you. I'm so excited. We're so thrilled to have you.
Starting point is 00:17:07 By the way, I had no idea that your degree was in broadcast journalism. yes and everyone thinks I'm just out here like figuring it out which I am but yeah I went to school for broadcast journalism because I thought I was gonna report the news to people yeah of course well you kind of are yeah yeah yeah and then I realized like that's actually like a legitimate hard career and I was like I don't think I don't think you're gonna see me in Iowa like filming my own stuff and talking about like a train collision like it's just not me so here we are so now you're filming your own stuff with the help of amazon inside of a bed so thank you crushing i saw your bed set i actually went to amazon like the day
Starting point is 00:17:52 after you shot your first bed series or whatever and you're like well this is where page lies down and i'm like should i lie there too it's like a national monument i mean you really are the american dream the way that you figured that out like that's the way to do it you know what's funny is people i don't think people realize that i was at amazon live like before it was like cool basically like before kyle richards was like giving us all the tea on her lesbian relationship i was there like trying to be a host and so i've been there for like six years so it's all the same people i worked with so it actually does feel like such a bigger moment for us because we're like remember when i i like my first time on there i was a foot model wait we need more we need more
Starting point is 00:18:39 i met one of the producers at a fourth of july party with my ex-boyfriend told her like i wanted to get into hosting she said oh i work for amazon live we're looking for models you could come in and do that but you can't talk to the hosts so like my first ever episode of amazon live i'm sitting there in a robe wearing slippers and they're selling the slippers and I'm like showing my feet wait do you see your face or is it just your feet no you see my face but like I wasn't allowed to say anything and then like a couple months into that I was like I I can talk back to the host and they were like we don't know and then they let me and then eventually they like gave me my own hour so like i really did like work my way up at amazon no i i really tried
Starting point is 00:19:28 well i just looked you up on wiki feet and page de sorbo has a five foot rating of course what is size seven what is it out of five it's five out of five five stars out of ten i thought it was out of ten i was like guys that's not good we're feeling here no you have a great foot you're often barefoot in summer house which is a really vulnerable thing to be yeah god knows what's on the ground in this world well i want to talk about the most important pop culture moment is um you manifested your job at amazon you manifested you know your fashion iconness and you also manifested lindsey's pregnancy like this is wild i also manifested hannah's netflix special wow did you i have to tell me about that but i'm pretty sure it was like a year and a half ago and i said you're
Starting point is 00:20:24 gonna have a netflix special next year and she was like page come on i go no like you will people don't believe me that i legitimately am a witch you're a witch you're also manifesting her style has been unmatched recently and i feel like you're really really rubbing off on her like so chic you know what's funny is like people will message me and say like you're not a good friend to hannah if you would like let her go out like that and they're right you know but like every time my friend puts something on i'm not like calling her up and being like what are you doing like hannah does have a very specific personal style and it's very lower east side girl and so i really only get involved when it's like the big things and she gets
Starting point is 00:21:11 stressed out when i text her and say okay but what are you wearing so i try and keep a chill with her like i'm not here to change her entire style but when it's big things like a netflix special i do feel as though i need to step in and she's crushing it now you can oh well and she's kind of the two of you are very much you're like young millennials right thank you so much um I guess technically I don't know if we're I think we're like right in there okay like millennial is like 26 we're 30 I'm 31 Hannah's 32 yeah yeah you're right smacked out but it's crazy like my 16 year old niece is a giggly squad obsessed child really yes and she said all of her friends listen to giggly squads so i'm like you guys have really reached so many demographics it's okay i
Starting point is 00:22:05 didn't know that tell her well thank you so much you're the voice of many generations you're like taylor swift of podcasting so it's very important that hannah represents gen z is also terrifying i they scare the shit out of us so scared of them i don't want to ever piss them off no no nor should we no they rule the world they really do they don't like to work but they're no no i'm not sure how they're gonna be ruling it but they're gonna figure it out they'll figure it out but isn't it gonna be so annoying when we're like 80 and we're sitting there and we're like god what did i do with my life i worked so hard i got up at seven in the morning so that i could get page on the podcast like this is you know and then and then gen z is like we did the least and we still have
Starting point is 00:22:54 we still have a generational wealth and we're good i always think about like what is northwest and like penelope disick like what are they going to be doing when they're 30 like i can't wait to see i think it's going to be full circle and they're going to be like working at banks i would love if penelope was a bank of america bank teller like it would just the world everything would be right again they're gonna like cosplay doing it i can see that happening with some nepo babies like i'm gonna go it's like when the domelios like launched something at walmart and then wore walmart employee things yeah and worked the cast register it's always such a weird flex i'm like no no it's not a good luck you live in a 10.7 million
Starting point is 00:23:42 dollar mansion in uh bel-air like i don't think you should play pretend see what it's like to work at walmart like just go there and say hi to the people if you're good yeah yeah actually my friend almost went into walmart jail and when we were kids because she stole a lip gloss just letting you know not gonna lie i always wanted to work at target i was like i still do i just feel like they get a great discount i look amazing in red like i just felt like they always had a good time there you know yeah yeah yeah it's good vibes it's good good vibes and there's a starbucks in a lot of them so you can just fuel yourself all day they used to have that dog that was like their yeah what the fuck happened to spot where is spot no one talks about
Starting point is 00:24:31 him i think about him a lot i bet it's because you can't you have to shop and not adopt spot so you we can't have him anymore yeah he's too cute um i want to talk about this book and i i you know listen i am bringing it to you here on lady gang i was so excited about the book we pre-ordered so that was a little bit of a burp and then I was like wait hold the phone I'm not getting this book until April 5th Paige have you started writing the book don't ask me a single question because when Simon and Schuster emailed us I was like sir surely they got the wrong email like there's no situation we can write a book we wrote the book book is done book is written sent in great i have no idea what takes from now to april and truly that's above my pay grade i
Starting point is 00:25:23 wouldn't even dare to ask them like what the what they're doing because that's their journey they're rewriting it yeah it's a lot of it's a lot of edits i think new ghost writer they're like no 100 and that that was one of the funniest things was hannah was like okay wow we like have to write this book and i was like hannah no we don't like we'll get a ghost writer and like we'll just tell them everything we want them to put it in and then immediately our editor was like no we're not giving you a ghost writer like you have to do this it has to be in your voice so then i went into sheer panic because i was like i i i think i'm dyslexic no one ever diagnosed me like this is like i'm not okay so we did have like deadlines obviously um but i will say hannah
Starting point is 00:26:11 really took charge of it and like told me what i needed to do so i wasn't in charge of anything and we added a lot of pictures so it's partly and double space lines it's like how the hacks you do when you're in high school we can also tell you add a lot of graphics we ended up in our book adding in a shit ton of like fun graphics and it would take up half pages yeah yeah amazing i'm like i hope this isn't in like mla format and like someone's gonna yell at me like i can't go back to that i love it so much but like what are we what are we are you telling stories from your life is it just advice like what kind of what did you give us okay so when we were when they approached us for a book my first thing was I'm 31 what the do I know about anything like I don't feel like I can
Starting point is 00:27:02 give a memoir like to the girls like what have I truly been through that like oh my god you have to read this experience and when we started writing the book it truly is exactly what Giggly Squad is we go off into tangents that make no sense that is just like a funny story but then you always come back to like the core of it which is being in your 20s growing up in your 20s being in your 30s having a best friends like the trial and tribulations of just being in your 20s and how to not take it as seriously as like the world wants you to take certain things and of course the world is going through so much and like we have to be serious about certain stuff but like you can take a minute every day and just like laugh and laugh at yourself mainly and so i think
Starting point is 00:27:52 that is like the crux of it giggly squad is about like making fun of yourself as well as everything else that like happens to you in your life and so that's truly like what the book is about um and it was so much fun writing like writing and reading hannah's parts like it was fun for the two of us how do you how are you guys best friends and working together and doing all this stuff because like what have like how do you are you like okay it's friend time and then like now it's work time like how do you not hate each other never have work time never had a work i don't we don't it's that's not a thing i feel like that's why we have like agents and managers they're like girls come on like this is a serious meeting um we were on a we were on a zoom and i
Starting point is 00:28:40 didn't even know simon and schuster was on the zoom and i was like chat chat talking shit and hannah goes hey just want to let you know like professional people are on here and i'm like got it um with hannah it's hannah's such a different type of friend that i've ever had before in my life i it actually freaks me out i can't remember any time i've ever met anyone like the first time i met them i specifically remember the first time i ever saw hannah and it was in person we were at the betches office and something like i remember feeling an energy of like i've known this person like i this is my person and ever since that day then like a couple weeks later we were both on summer house and we've always just been connected on a different level like of course we think each
Starting point is 00:29:32 other's funny and I think she's gorgeous and I like could spend all day with her but there is a different level of connectivity with the two of us that I don't ever feel like oh I can't bring this up to Hannah this is like a work thing or like we say it all to each other like we just do feel like soul connected and so I think it makes like the work part of it like not that stressful and of course I know a lot of other people that like work with their friends and so i've heard stories of like we have to set it an hour a week like aside so we can talk about work stuff and me and hannah like we're voice noting did you see what that bitch did and then it's also like hey can you like respond to that email so like we're in it all the time um and it just
Starting point is 00:30:17 like kind of works for us and we also have a similar personality that truly we don't get mad about stuff like it takes us a very long time to get mad about anything and so we are just like easy with each other i love that it's so nice it's so refreshing too because a lot of the time on those reality shows it's i mean we've seen it with everything especially summer house like sometimes you just don't click with another girl and you could be the world's biggest girls girl and really support women love women but you just don't see the world in the same color like you and hannah see the world through the same lens in the same color and like you guys are letting all of us in on like what your crazy wacky brains are thinking yeah and it is it's so refreshing to see
Starting point is 00:31:03 you two um the friendship like it's nice to know it's not bullshit either and i think we connected like obviously starting a reality show like it's nice to have someone who's at the same pace as you like okay this is our first day this is crazy but i think the way me and hannah like both coped with uncomfortable situations was making jokes that like people were like i can't believe she just said that where I'd be laughing hysterically in the corner so I think we had the same coping mechanism so Hannah always says like we're so close because we trauma bonded like from the moment we met and I kind of feel that yeah and so I feel like that is why we like got so close so quick um okay I want to bring something up to the lady gang uh in general because you know we look
Starting point is 00:31:51 the same a little bit although you know like blondes with their hair pulled back you know yeah um but we have very different takes on everything and something listen you know your famous page when every little thing you do becomes a headline like I hope you feel you just pat yourself on the back for feeding the children you know what I mean like I have a lot of anxiety and my therapist is well paid so great yeah but it's like you know it's summer it's slow news time there's not a lot happening and when page can give me a new headline every week it's it's a real thrill so thank you for you know keeping me employed over at e-news but oh my god it was like you had um you know really done some terrible things when you wore a sheer dress to the wedding
Starting point is 00:32:40 And I had messaged you about this, that the amount of articles about you wearing the sheer dress to the wedding. Now the dress in question, if you, if you don't go on the internet and you haven't seen this, it's like an, it's kind of a corseted black dress thing, bodysuit with like a lace fishtail kind of skirt. Listen, it's, it's a sexy dress for sure. It's something Jack, like, I mean, with love, Jack would wear it to a wedding. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:33:09 like she she's gonna have her she's gonna have low she's gonna have slit up to her you know first rib like that's just the way it goes um defend the dress page i could defend it all day long first and foremost i was in san trope i wasn't at saint patrick's cathedral in new york city so it was a very different type of wedding there were there were acrobatic dancers inside of flower petals it was not a typical wedding and the couple that got married my girlfriend alexa and her now husband wilton easily one of the most stylish couples i've ever been around like they just look good they look like a model couple he's like six four she's this tiny cute little she's persian so she's all about glitz and glamour she's a stylist also so like i knew going to her wedding
Starting point is 00:34:01 the looks were going to be insane i was maybe one of 15 girls that was in sheer dresses also because that's like trendy yeah i i would have never worn that also the wedding was black tie obviously i would have never worn that dress anywhere in america like if i had gone to a wedding in charleston wouldn't have even been on my mind you can't even wear a black dress you can't even have brown hair in charleston no you actually really can't it fits like very uncomfortable um so i sent it to all of my girlfriends who were also like going to the wedding and we're sending all of our dresses in a group chat and not a single person batted an eye one of the other girls was in like completely sheer and then it had like green like sparkles
Starting point is 00:34:49 on it so i was like oh we're like so good um and the bride loved it like she everyone at her wedding looked 10 times better than me like all of the outfits and this was a week-long celebration like we had seven days of just like wedding extravaganzas um so if people were mad at that outfit they honestly should have looked at my other ones because it got worse yeah i mean they were gonna be so mad um but i loved that dress i stick by it and again like it just proved to me that not a lot of people had been to a wedding in the south of france and for that i apologize to them like i apologize damn i'm i'm upset for you that makes me so upset for you um so we were like on a wine vineyard and it was i mean it was just one of the most insane weddings i've ever went to
Starting point is 00:35:42 we've we stayed up we partied till like 3 a.m for you i have a question jack becca do you remember what anyone else wore to your wedding i mean i do but because mine was last year and i had a very strict dress code i will say i went to this wedding event and of course she had like a welcome party and she had like a day party and then the actual wedding but prior to that we had like different like lunches and stuff and i saw a lot of girls wearing white like two different wedding events and so i was at that wedding being offended because of that never did i think then people were going to be offended by me like the whole wedding weekend i was saying to my one girlfriend i was like this bitch just showed up in a white bathing suit for the beach day like
Starting point is 00:36:32 that's insane that's insane one girl showed up to the wedding in pale pale pale pale yellow it was straight up ivory and i looked at her up and down and i was like you should be ashamed of yourself never did i think people were going to be doing the exact same thing to me so i feel like that was a little bit of karma but um no her their wedding celebration was insane also they're like a miami couple yeah so like it's they probably didn't think twice about it did not think twice about it you're listening to the lady gang i just feel very strongly that when you're the bride it's wonderful to be the bride but it's also like the hardest job in the world and it's really not at the end of the day that fun to be the bride at the end of the night you're so exhausted you're so
Starting point is 00:37:25 pulled in so many directions you're so over your own family that you're exhausted and you're pretty much like 80 of the time sexless and just went to bed and ate french fries like you're so tired weddings are for the people like me like i need to go to your wedding and wear my lace see-through dress to have sex with my husband the six times a year i'm gonna have sex with my husband you know what i mean like your wedding is a party for me to stay married and that's how i truly feel in my soul and she was a very like chill bride in terms of like her bridesmaids like they all wore different dresses and she didn't give a shit what they were like she was like yep this color great awesome love it so it wasn't like and she was probably so focused on her own outfits exactly
Starting point is 00:38:13 nobody cares yeah that she didn't care at all justice for page but it was the first time i was ever on perez hilton and i was like oh my god you know you've made it i'm like am i lindsey lohan like i love it did he draw like a little dick on your face does he still do that he was like page was slammed by everyone i'm like what it's insane yeah i feel like i've done much worse much i used to have a hard and fast rule about um at weddings no none of the guests should wear red dresses and then I wore a red dress at your wedding and so did Leah so I approved I approved of Rose but you know I always feel like maybe it's like the boomer in me I'm not a boomer but I think there's parts of me that maybe live inside that are slight boomer because my mom
Starting point is 00:39:03 trickled into my psyche but I'm like why does a red dress just it's too vampy like it's just I know is that a rule or is because I've only heard it from you I just heard it recently like in the past couple of years actually people got really mad at me because again Hannah didn't do bridesmaids like where we walked down an aisle but we like all went on her bachelorette party got ready with her but we had no cohesiveness of like our dresses at all and I wore like a like not even like that hot of a pink color it was actually pretty muted and people were pissed at me they were like how dare you wear neon pink and I was like first of all it's not neon how dare you and second of all like it was a springtime wedding like i i don't like blue i
Starting point is 00:39:51 don't look good in blue so i wore pink like so people will just like freak out about anything okay there's there's so much talk about you and craig and like i actually kind of feel i mean i don't feel bad for you because you're crushing it but like i kind of feel bad for you because like the whole world has decided what your relationship is supposed to be look like the timeline in which things are going to happen like there's so much pressure on the two of you and so many opinions how do you deal with that and like I just think it's such a strange thing that like we're all deciding when you're gonna get engaged yeah I honestly here's this is actually funny i don't get angry about it because i can remember the day my lord and savior kim kardashian
Starting point is 00:40:41 appeared on my television screen and i remember she was going throughout her life and she was about to marry kanye west and they weren't going to put it on an episode and i was livid i couldn't believe it i said how how dare she do this to us we've watched her entire life and now she's not going to show us her wedding and i felt very entitled to it and so now when people are like when are you getting engaged when are you having a baby i never get offended by it because i'm like yes you're watching it on tv like that is the normal question i wanted to see kim kardashian's wedding dress the moment she walked down the aisle so i never get offended by it and i think it seems like me and craig have been dating for so much longer than we have because of the bravo
Starting point is 00:41:29 cycling of we did winter house we did southern charm we did summer house and we kind of did that to ourselves well the network was like you're now doing this so we kind of like did that to ourselves in a way where it seemed like oh my god they've been together for like years and years when in reality we've really only been dating for two and a half years so so i don't it does seem longer right yeah so i don't ever get like oh my god everybody's like asking me because at the end of the day like they're not going to be in the hospital room the day I'm like pushing a baby out right so I don't get upset about it and honestly me and Craig rarely like talk about when are we getting engaged when are we having a baby like of course we've had those
Starting point is 00:42:16 conversations but it's not as much as everyone else is having them so like we don't really get that stressed out about it and I think also like hand I all of my girlfriends are pretty much married like all of my really close girlfriends are married or but no one's had a baby yet so i i don't feel like oh my god i'm like behind with everyone and like me and hannah are going on tour in the fall how the f would i be able to go on tour and then like also be growing a child inside of me so i don't like i don't really get that stressed about it you're also still so young yeah thank you you're really young i will say and you live in new york so like you're 31 right you're basically 20 20 yeah and i i think it's partly because he is in south carolina and like
Starting point is 00:43:05 that is just the norm like all of his friends have been married they have like 12 kids yeah they're like starting a commune down there so i don't it is just like very different and he doesn't have a biological clock and so yeah i'm not worried about it you guys had such a a nice scene in summer house where you had your picnic um and i feel like there aren't many relationships represented in the way that you guys are which is you have less needy is such a shitty word to use but your energy is less needy and you don't require as much watering of your plant. Yeah. And then you're with Craig. Who's really, he feels a lot and needs more reinforcement from you.
Starting point is 00:43:55 And I just really appreciated seeing that because that's a lot of women and we're only shown on reality TV shows like these desperate women who are going after men who don't like them as much as they like them. And it's just so, it's nice and I'm happy for you as I call myself a dragon lady where I also don't require a lot of like touch positive words really anything I'm self-watering and I married somebody who's very similar to myself and I actually I love him he's wonderful but we have a lot of work to do because we don't we we disconnect a lot right because it's like two of me is really like not a great recipe but i feel like watching you and craig like as annoying as it might be in times where you're
Starting point is 00:44:40 like i can't believe i have to tell you how many times i love you yeah and that you're my person but like that dynamic i think is like the sweet spot for relationships like he's gonna keep you connected that's my therapist advice some people like get so mad when i say this but like i don't care because i think it's true my mom like truly always said you need to date a guy who likes you a little bit more than you oh yeah this is our all of our this is our lady gang mantra it's like you gotta marry a guy that loves you a little bit more it just is true biologically we're different they need to always be like chasing something we can be content so i i think what not that like he likes me so much more than i like him but it's just i'm i've lived in new york city for 10 years
Starting point is 00:45:28 like that just is a harder city like I've dated some of the worst people ever so I feel like I kind of taught myself how to like self-soothe in a way where I'm like I don't need anyone and I think part of like why I wanted to be successful was out of revenge for all those ex-boyfriends in New York City where I was like you thought you thought that you controlled this because you bought my plane ticket just wait on it for like a year like and so I was very in that like mindset and Craig is definitely like a little bit more sensitive than me a little bit more of like a hopeless romantic I mean whole currently right now he's like watching Christmas in July on Hallmark I rather die shut up and so I think we balance each other really well in that sense
Starting point is 00:46:23 because i can sometimes feel myself being like too cold like if you piss me off that's it i've i cut you right off like i'm done i'm also a scorpio and italian and my mom is insane so we just like i think we are just like biologically different but also as a woman you have to be you actually have to be stronger than men because the shit that gets thrown at us is 10 times worse like oh god like he you know they wouldn't even be able to handle it they would never even be able to have a period you know every month like me and hannah talk about it all the time if men had periods they'd get the whole week off the world would be so different they'd be able to claim like sorry i was bleeding today like not liable and so it's just insane um but i i love that about
Starting point is 00:47:15 myself and i think sometimes people get mad because they're not used to seeing like someone really strong on reality tv and not like begging a guy like when are we getting engaged when are we getting engaged and i've just like never really been like that last time a boyfriend wanted to propose to me i broke out into hives and i ran away and so um and so and also like your career as a woman does like people can say whatever they want but like when we do get married and have babies people look at you different and like they treat you different and so like when I had just started Giggly Squad I didn't want to be doing Giggly Squad putting out a book going on tour and everyone be like so you're planning your wedding like where are you doing it what like
Starting point is 00:48:02 right you know I was like I didn't work this long just to like give it to a guy basically well it's inevitable like your energy and your focus if it comes a little bit off your career for all that stuff. Like it's going to, it's, it's going to die down. Like it's, you have momentum and it's up to say this, and I'm sure there's women who defy the odds, but the moment that you do start kind of like really intensifying that partnership and that commitment, being with your partner, prioritizing, being with them more, and then a kid on top of it, you're totally, if your heart's desire is to go full throttle into career, like it's, it's really, really difficult and I for the first time I have a bunch of girlfriends who are married and actually like
Starting point is 00:48:47 grappling with the fact that like they might not want to have kids and I've always known I want to have kids like that is a definitely a priority in my life so I know I also know myself I know the moment I give birth to that first child you'll never see me again that's it I'm home I'm in the bed like I can't wait for that and so I think partly that's why I'm like I don't want to do that right now like i want to work enjoy my career work really hard because i know that next part of my life is coming and when it comes i want to be ready for it and i want to be so immersed in it and so i don't want to do it like kind of half-assed right now yeah oh you're speaking to my soul i love it um okay when or if you know your other shows die down or whatever would you ever
Starting point is 00:49:38 join nyc housewives or have they asked you they haven't asked me i don't know if bravo would ever do it yeah i don't know well there are some women that aren't married on and like hadn't been married yet i would never say never because if summer house literally was like okay we're done this year and then they called and asked me yeah i would definitely think about it i would so i don't i wouldn't say i wouldn't do it also i feel like i would get along with a lot of their personalities. But you as a healthy calls herself a success consultant in people's careers. I also find myself I'm a very like intense Bravo fan. And as a success consultant there, I think you would have to fake caring more about drama that doesn't quite matter. Like you are so good at not
Starting point is 00:50:32 sweating the small stuff that to be a great housewife, you have to get in the mud a little bit more that's true and i think your heart's desire but i believe in you i could get you there we could work on some things yeah i don't and honestly be now that i've been on reality tv now for like six to seven years if i did if summer house was over and then i didn't go to a new show i it wouldn't be the worst thing in my life i also feel like at some point me and hannah like will definitely have to do something on like in terms of reality tv like i didn't i miss being on reality tv with her specifically because i don't think anyone's ever made me laugh the way she used to make me laugh and part of like i think we because we were so new on the show and people
Starting point is 00:51:22 didn't really know us that like half of the things that made us friends people did never even saw like that was never even part of the episode so i think like now in this different part of our life it would be it would be so much more fun oh yeah i would like to see you guys i would like to see a spin-off where you try to assimilate into charleston together oh my god it's like the simple way i always say like sonia and luann spin-off like so good so good like i would have love to do something like that with hannah um so i don't know i don't know we'll see you will do you ever feel like you get a bad edit and then are you allowed to call people call them and be like i don't like this okay i definitely pick my battles with production like there are certain
Starting point is 00:52:11 things that i'm just like i'm never gonna complain about this because you know i don't want to be that kid in class that's like um and what about this and what about this but yes of course there are times where I'm like this is that's not me like I would never that is not my personality that's not I know I think I probably get it the most that like I'm like a mean girl like I'm the queen of the mean girls and that probably is what makes me upset the most because I went to an all girls high school so I know exactly what a mean girl is and I've never identified as that like I've never you know never claimed that and I know what it's like for girls to be so mean that you can't even walk into a certain room because you can just feel them hating you so that probably
Starting point is 00:52:58 makes me the most upset because I would never let a new girl come on to our show and ever feel uncomfortable because of me like that would just never happen that's never happened and I would never let that happen also now being in my 30s like if a new girl comes on the show and she's 25 in what world am i beefing with her if anything i'm like this is what you need i need to protect you from don't talk to this person this is like gonna be scary like if you need anything come to me like i'll help you like i could never do that i like immediately see anyone younger as like okay i gotta protect them because this is crazy because no one did that for me and hannah like no one said okay and this is gonna be fucked up and you're gonna have to deal with this so we just kind of
Starting point is 00:53:42 learned it on our own on our own yeah it's so funny I just I don't think that you're you give mean girl energy at all but I think it's people misconstrue you actually being honest and speaking your mind with being mean yeah I think sometimes like what it is is I don't know if sometimes I remind people of like someone that they knew in high school that they didn't like and then they just kind of like put it on me which whatever that's fine but I truly do try and be nice to like every girl that comes in i try and like make every girl feel comfortable because what the viewer doesn't see is like how scary it is to have three cameramen on you a bunch of lights and like you just walked in the house 20 minutes ago like it's very jarring and so i would never like want
Starting point is 00:54:27 to add to that uncomfortability for any girl the men i don't give a shit about i'll be mean to them all day long i'll literally take joy in it but the girl is absolutely not people are mad because you're pretty and you have better clothes than them let's be like rudimentary you know what i mean like and you're funny like you're that's it's really easy to be like a hot girl with with like cool clothes and then not make anybody laugh like that's an easy right archetype to like be annoyed with if i could pick one it would be funny like if i could just have one i would pick funny all day long because like what is life without like cracking up i make myself true all the time you you have to giggle yeah you have to okay so i have two last questions number one
Starting point is 00:55:16 now that you're entering your 30s which is where we all were when we started lady game i'm still in my 30s no you're right i'm in my mid-30s kelty no no okay let me start again okay you're okay i'm turning 32 i'm turning 32 in november so young what i was just gonna say is like uh what do you wish like what is the fashion thing or the life thing that you the women that are older than you you want to be like yeah i hate like i wish women wouldn't do that at like you know what i mean like keep us young help us help us help us oh like what do i wish that like women we're the late we're elder millennials we're like we're not like like say like when you know the capri trend was coming in i love the capri trend we have no but you look
Starting point is 00:56:11 not me um honestly i don't think there's any like i wouldn't immediately think like oh there's a fashion thing that like we should stop doing um you know what i think the number one thing that like women that are like 37 38 and even like early 40s will say to me that really pisses me off is like you're not getting any younger and craig is probably the best you'll do like you should like you you have to have a baby like he's ready ew like you should have it so and it's only ever from women older than me like honestly it's like southern people that watch southern charm but i think and i'm like wait but you're a girl and you were my age at one time and i know for a fact when you were like just turned 30 you felt like oh shit like society definitely turns on you
Starting point is 00:57:10 when you turn you're a woman and you turn 30 so why would you also add that to me like if a man says it i'm like yeah you don't get anything yeah like so like i don't even care but when a woman says to me like you should have a baby i get like i hope no one says that to your daughter like that is one thing i would say i mean craig is let's let's not get it twisted he came on the lady gang he's charming he's hot he's tall he's sweet he's tall like he is such a catch like i i do not disagree in that sense yeah but also you are too so if you both went your separate ways you he not so much he would not get another page because like good luck but you would be just fine i hope it doesn't happen but that is so insane no we would both be fine but also like
Starting point is 00:58:03 yeah it's just i get stressed out because then you do start to think like oh my god i do have a biological clock like am i like messing this up like should i be it kind of feels like if you're not working toward like marriage and a baby it's like oh but you're like not a woman then then like what do you what's your purpose and it's like well i just like wrote a book and so i feel like that's pretty cool like stuff like that podcast i'm a reality star i don't know you're right you're right i should like get pregnant right now um but yeah but i think it comes from and just i i never do this but to play the devil's advocate i think those women may well listen maybe they're just bitches but like sometimes these career women they waited until they're 37 38 39 and then getting
Starting point is 00:58:53 pregnant was so much harder than they thought it was going to be and they're like absolutely after multiple rounds of IVF and all this stuff I wish I had just done it when I was fertile maybe they're you know but mostly they're probably just judging you no it's like internalized misogyny that it's so okay okay okay no because like if you think about it whenever I say like yeah I'm like probably like gonna wait to have kids I genuinely feel like okay well I'm only gonna have more money in my bank account I'm only gonna be a little like more mature to be able to take care of this child maybe i'll know my my own childhood trauma a little better so that i don't repeat anything you know it's funny that like wait that when you're waiting to have a baby because of all
Starting point is 00:59:36 those things it's seen as a negative when in reality it's like yeah no you want to be more mature you're bringing a human into the world it's like how dare you be responsible how dare you plan it out you evil bitch also it's nice as a woman who had a baby late i now when i'm sitting there doing some mind numbing activity with my two and a half year old, I sit there and I go through in my head. I'm like, okay, but like, what else would you want to be doing? Right. Clubs your face off in your twenties. You slept with so many people. You've had so many girl trips. It's like, I'm over the girl trip at this point. I've traveled to so many places. So I'm like, you know what? I've done all my life and I'm here with my two and a half
Starting point is 01:00:19 year old. So like I can sit there and enjoy myself just a tiny bit more than the women who didn't. I'm so happy you said that. I literally just said this to Craig. I was like, I know myself and I can't move to the next phase of my life until I truly, truly done with something. Never did I think like when I was in high school, I was like, how am I going to live without prom? I love prom. Like how am I going to go on? Like prom is my life. Then you like get to college, you're in your 20s and you're like clubbing is my religion like i couldn't imagine a day where i didn't want to go to a club every friday night and now i'm like if you invite me to a club you're clearly an enemy of mine like how dare you and so now i'm in like a new phase where i'm like i
Starting point is 01:01:04 love doing 12 step skincare and watching love island until i can't see like i love being home So I know like when I'm ready for that next phase, I'm going to be full on ready. Yeah. You got to get it all out of your system. You have to get it out of your system. I mean, like I've partied for enough for three people. Like I did. Same.
Starting point is 01:01:25 And I, and I loved every second of it. Yep. Well, and it's true. Just like as a final thought, like I think with Becca, what you're saying is also with the career stuff page, because we, you know, we started lady gang and then we went on a crazy tear. we had our e-show and we did our books and we toured and we did we you know we did a lot of the things that you guys are getting to right now which is the most exciting thing when you're like
Starting point is 01:01:50 climbing the charts and everyone's like we want to do this we want to do this like take that in right now because it it does fade event right not right you know but like no that's the only thing you only get to be the hot thing one time that's the other thing i'm like me and hannah are only gonna be in this exact situation for a little bit and like yeah that's why i want to collect money and put it like and make sure that i can pay for travel baseball in 10 years exactly and like do i want to plan for that no but like that is like yeah that's what i think about because it's the real truth like we you know we we when we wrote our second book but we went on tour and Becca had like a four month old and it was like, it was misery. Never regretted a choice
Starting point is 01:02:38 more. It's so hard for her. Like, because they lie. Well, they lie. Everyone lies to you and they say, Oh, you can have it all. And you like, you just can't, it just doesn't work that way. So I really think what you're doing is perfect. And I think you should just enjoy this page page of songs, like the Renaissance of like what you're doing right now.
