Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Things are about to change around here. Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. hello hello hello welcome to the lady gang let me do a little introduction for the four people out there who've never heard of us i am becca tobin actress and blogger across from me kelty knight what do you want to be today honestly instagram queen i was just gonna say that queen of instagram really been working hard on making my instagram cohesive proud of you thank you but really in her spare time she's an entertainment journalist i lost some emmys
Starting point is 00:00:58 she just interviewed michael bolton today he's so far he's hot he is hot yeah to my right jack vanek clothing designer myspace it girl yes right you have to use that every week okay good my fun fact this week is that i haven't had a pedicure in two months i just had one literally 10 minutes ago you did fresh polish i thought about using our guests service which we'll get to the glam app one of my favorite things in the world i thought about booking them to come here to the podcast to give me a pedicure it's that bad does that mean you haven't had a pedicure since your wedding pedicure that's what it was how are the talons like how long i've like cut my toenails i do yoga i'm not a monster oh okay but why is it that toenail polish stays on
Starting point is 00:01:42 forever forever and a week with the nails i don't understand with the gel on the toes like why do you need it to stay so long like i've never in my life been like darn it i wish my pedicure would last longer no i will say the apocalypse seriously no as someone that wears a lot of fancy shoes if you don't have a gel on your toe the shoe like can rub and then chip you no i've never had gel on my toes and i've never had a problem with that well you also don't do the hard work on the red carpets of hollywood that i'm not a blue collar worker well what is your what is your fun fact oh um my fun fact is that i have really tiny ears kelty that is the third time you i'm like i think this is the problem i know i said my eyes were blue and then they turned brown
Starting point is 00:02:30 number one that was never like last week no that was never even a fun fact yes it was you guys can you please help us out first of all i've never heard the blue brown you never heard that no literally okay and i think this is third time somebody needs to write down i have tiny ears and they're my prized possession even that small so it's not even like the most sensational thing about what is the average ear size size i have an average ear let me see your eye i feel bored already jack what is your fun fact my fun fact is when i was like 10 years old um my parents got a package in the mail and they thought we had anthrax oh what was it flower and no it was like they got paper towels and in the paper towels there was a bunch of white powder that like poofed
Starting point is 00:03:14 out when they got the mail is that because you were so hated yeah that's because you were dating ryan ross that was before i was hated that was pre myspace queen days oh my god sometimes when i'm sad i just look at pictures of jack vanek as like an emo queen and just it's my life it makes you're so lucky your hair grew back i know god because i never dyed it black uh anyway okay well kelty what's happening it's a special week it's a special week this week because we have invited our guest to be a part of good week bad week because we feel like she has some pretty epic stories so before we um get into good week bad week and roll our little music i want to introduce her art today's guest is an actress instagram queen i mean second to me of course instagram's
Starting point is 00:03:58 princess she's the princess she's like kate middleton and i'm queen elizabeth she's also a big-time entrepreneur she joined together with celebrity makeup artist joey maloof in 2015 to create the glam app which we will talk about more and becca's toenails yeah um it is an on-demand beauty app where you can order a pro glam team to your house just like you order an uber and it's absolutely fantastic and we all use it so does everyone in hollywood in addition to that she runs a massive style blog called cara disclosed where you can shop all of her fabulous looks and i'm just gonna put this out there the dress she wore to becca's wedding like i definitely want to buy because it was so beautiful and i'm wearing a velvet dress wrap dress just so i can be like her
Starting point is 00:04:35 um she's also a bride to be the future mrs shirtless wonder jesse metcalf caris santana welcome to the podcast what an introduction do you like it what an introduction it was really good she gives you some good ones yes good on that note on that note it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no all right who's kicking us off that's a little bit i have to start do it I've been holding it in literally this whole time. Oh, my God. Are you ready, everyone? Is it a toot?
Starting point is 00:05:08 Well, everyone, I peed my pants. What? So here's this. Let me set the tone. Have you ever been somewhere and you thought, well, I have to pee. I should, like, go in the lobby and find the bathroom. But whatever, I'll just hold it and drive to my next place. Yeah, I feel like this happens every time we record a podcast.
Starting point is 00:05:27 100%. so I had that situation and then I got stuck in horrible traffic so here's what you saw on Laurel Canyon which is like this street that divides Hollywood was me with my hand in my crotch and just like doing the shake back and forth shaking it shaking it and trying to like hold in my pee with my hand because I had to pee so badly and I was like in a cold sweat and I was like oh my god do not pee your pants now I have peed in my dog bed before one time remember when I peed well that You only know that story. I had to pee so bad that I had to like use my dog pad like a maxi pad so that I could
Starting point is 00:06:00 like pee in it and then throw it. Anyway. It absorbed it. Was this like in a car? This is in a car. So I'm driving. Anyway, this is my second pee time. So I am peeing my pants.
Starting point is 00:06:08 And so I'm going to cut you off super quickly. Once you pee your pants the first time, like you should know at this point in your life, you're not capable of being the girl who's just going to wait and go later. That's going to hold it. The first time I shit my pants, I was like, Korean barbecue, never again. Haven't looked at it, haven't touched it. I understand. You should learn your lesson.
Starting point is 00:06:28 No, I know. And I also feel like I might be someone at 35 who needs to be using Depends. Like, I didn't want to be the Depends girl, but I certainly am the Depends girl anyway. They pay well, like a million dollars for their Depends. Yeah, I feel like you'd be, like, a really good face for Depends. Lisa Renna. Yeah. She did it?
Starting point is 00:06:41 Yeah, for a million dollars. Yes. She did? Yes. Remember? She used to be on the red carpet. The commercial is her on the red carpet, and she's like, I've got on my Depends. like still looking sexy you know what do they have like a thong depends no there are calls going out
Starting point is 00:06:56 as we speak i would do i love that jack's like oh no thongs depends well that just like kills it for me if you're gonna pee your pants you have to pee it in a thong well jack it's a commercial and she's not actually on a red carpet wearing diapers so we think i don't like that so let me finish let me finish okay so i'm pee like dancing in my car and so when you drive into this probably looks like masturbation to onlooking traffic so when you drive into cbs there's two like gates that flip up one is for visitors and one is for employees and i have like a little key card that like you put on the fab you know the like key card goes fob fob you put on the beep and then it opens the gate for me right yeah so that day of course i forgot my key card didn't know
Starting point is 00:07:37 where it was and i'm having a pee and so for some reason god blessed me with the gate being stuck open so literally me and my mini cooper i blow past the gate and all of the cbs security and i'm like and i take a right and then left and then a right and then i don't even go to my parking spot i literally just like kind of pull outside my building get out of my car slam the door and like run to my office to pee pee did come down my leg but i made for the most of my peeing into you know i made the bathroom that's not the best part so when i finish peeing i'm like whoa that one was close oh my gosh and then i get a knock on the door and it's like knock knock knock and i open the door and it's the police what and eight security guards and four golf carts because
Starting point is 00:08:21 they think i am a perpetrator that has broken onto the cbs lot to go shoot up the place they don't know because i didn't stop at security on the way in and but anyway so there's like eight police officers and he's like are you okay and so i was so embarrassed to be like i peed my pants so i was like oh yeah sorry i had to blow past security woman problems because you know that's the free pass yeah that was my bad week you guys don't seem impressed at all i peed my pants people i just wish you like had a gun in your car and they searched your car and you went to jail that would have made it amazing i don't know if i would have liked that well good job thank you have a good week yeah good week um so as you know if you follow me on instagram at guilty night um
Starting point is 00:09:01 i've been posting all of my manifests for this year and one of my goals was to dress like an adult because i don't often do that kara just looked at me i'm wearing a how is she doing i'm wearing a prada loafer i like the prada loafer i mean i wouldn't like say adult but definitely like above millennial like me maybe like gen xer i mean you look good you look good cool mom yeah kind of i was actually thinking like if kel if they were gonna cast kelty like on a sitcom like you would be like the really crazy like type a mom that like was like doing cocaine like to get our kids to school or something i don't know but in a good way in the best possible way you would be a coke addict but like in the best way possible like annette benning
Starting point is 00:09:46 from um american beauty but like younger yes and chicer and cooler well you think of what you're gonna cast the like yeah think about the rest of our sitcom and who you would cast for each of us Okay, well, Jack's easy, but okay, I'll get back to you. Who's Jack? Yeah, what am I? Jack's, like, the, like, broody, like, sexy, like, California girl who, like, only dates guys with, like, mustaches that, like, live in, like, Los Feliz, and, like, she's probably the one that, like, asks Kelty for all of, like, unsolicited advice.
Starting point is 00:10:16 More so that Kelty gives her all the unsolicited advice on her dating. This is kind of true. It's a sitcom, right? So it's, like, stereotypes. True life, lady gay. But that's what I would do. That's actually pretty accurate. oh wow yeah all right think about my stereotype a power lesbian
Starting point is 00:10:30 what is yours i'm so close to you that i know how multi-faceted you are but if i was like a diamond no i was gonna say a diamond um multi-faceted yeah you're like a topaz you're a ruby from zales like you're just like a rose the cool like you know like free spirited like young one of the group that like oh the young one yeah you're like a michelle williams to me oh my god i love that one her you're like super fashiony but like don't talk to her michelle no becca is way more personable than i would expect i'm nicer to you than most people yeah that's really you get the nicest becca i do she likes actually this is going into my okay can i finish this my good week is I feel like his stories take long.
Starting point is 00:11:21 I finished. You dress like an adult. I tried to be an adult, and yesterday at work, one of my coworkers, as unsolicited, I walked down the hall, and they said, Wow, you're really dressed like an adult today. Wow. Maybe that's all I wanted to say. I hope that was true. Also, I know that.
Starting point is 00:11:37 I feel like I know you because we were in this, like, stuck in a car for five hours. Which we are going to talk about. Yeah, so I feel like a very, like a kinship spirit with you, so I can, you know, We'll make fun of you about your long-winded story. Kelty holds hands with so many of our guests, and sometimes she doesn't even know them. I held Michael Bolton's hand today. Becca. You did?
Starting point is 00:11:59 Good week, bad week. Okay. I'm going to break the rules, okay? Oh, God. It's both stories. There's a good week and a bad week, too. It goes from good week to bad week. I'm already so stressed out, and now you're going to break the rules?
Starting point is 00:12:12 You've done this before. Yeah. Fine. You can break the rules. Hypocrite. What are the rules? Yeah. it's like the zara story so kelty being very a type and on cocaine she needs if it's your good
Starting point is 00:12:23 week it's good and you have to say this is my good week and it has to be good i've literally got reprimanded because i haven't said good week and then gone on with my good but yours are a little bit like you tell the story and i'm not even sure if it's good or bad because usually they're not good mine go from good to bad then bad to good want to hear okay so my good to bad is this i was in yoga on a saturday night yes that's right party animal and having like you know a lovely time i finish i go into the locker room and a girl comes up to me and she's like are you becca tobin and i was like yeah and she's like i hell yeah heck yes um and she's like i listened to the lady gang and i was listening on my way here and i love it so much that was amazing
Starting point is 00:13:12 that was my good week because i just love that i talked about on the facebook page like i just love when people recognize us for lady gang and nothing else yeah and um so you're saying you like it when people recognize you for lady gang but not the fappening actually you'd rather be known i don't even mind the fappening okay no no no press is bad press you know it's true that because not one person has come up to me and been like those naked pictures of you rough yeah i was young and fertile and beautiful there you go okay so so turns into bad turns into bad week like this because first of all after a workout i'm the type of person that like it takes me a minute to like get my bearings again it's hot in there you're sweating and i was
Starting point is 00:13:59 also like caught off guard because usually the people that come up it's like oh i love glee and like kitty and you're like okay so then she said that and i was like really inside so excited but like i couldn't can like and this goes back to me being like so weirdly like detached and i wanted to like after the encounter i was like oh my god that's so great and i was like actually i'm texting with kelty now because that's the only thing i could think to say and i actually was but then i was like why wasn't i warmer why wasn't i cooler like why couldn't i have been like i so appreciate you saying that her name was kelsey maybe if she's listening she can hear this now but i'm sorry i'm so weird and awkward sorry becca was a bitch kelsey but i wasn't a bitch i was just
Starting point is 00:14:41 weird and awkward and i was actually thrilled that she came up but like if someone were watching that encounter they were probably like she's kind of a bitch she's a little icy so i'm sorry kelsey okay so this is my bad week turned good week okay this is where you jump in you see your stories long af your first story was way longer than this so mine's gonna be i'm in an uber and um i'm on the phone and and the guy driving the uber was like tough you know and like i kept thinking of taken the movie taken you know like he's the type that would steal me oh and then i'm like is he gonna break in when i'm gone is he gonna break in and wait for me to come home is he gonna kidnap me like so i'm on the phone with my friend i'm not listening to anything she's saying because
Starting point is 00:15:22 i'm panicking so then so then i say i thought this was pretty smooth i was like hey jess let me call you right back this is my friend who's visiting from new york and he's calling to get the alarm code because he's staying with us tonight and he's and he's also six five three hundred pounds and he's trained black belt in takwondo and jedi tricks guns no but i was like he's bringing my gun collection over he's coming to show me some guns he also just got out of prison because he killed five people and a baby but i thought i did a pretty good job saving it that was a pretty good job thank you and then i was like i'm gonna always do that the other day i also lied to an uber who was kind of creepy he's like do you live here i was like nope and i did i was like i'm visiting
Starting point is 00:16:09 a friend like i don't know you're coming back okay jack or should we go care is that the end I want to go. Yeah. It was good because I covered it and he didn't kill me. You did good and good. No, I didn't. Good. I did good into bad.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Bad into good. I'm going to go fast. Okay. My good week. So having a good amount of Instagram followers, I always get weird DMs. Oh, really? You're going to bring that up? I'm sure everybody else gets crazy, crazy DMs sometimes from people.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Nope. But no. I don't have it so that people can DM me if I don't follow them. No, there's a whole other inbox that you can check. Oh, I'm not looking there. Oh, I do. It's amazing. Maybe I should.
Starting point is 00:16:49 I got the best DM the other day, and I'm not going to say from who, but she says, I know this might seem selfish to message you, but I also know you have enough money to be able to do something like this. My dream is to honestly have an authentic Louis Vuitton, and I've seen in your videos that you have a lot of purses that you probably throw away. Would you please give me one? Whoa. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:17:11 And I have to say- Fake rich. You need to send her one. I have one Louis Vuitton that I bought on The RealReal, so used, and I've never once shown it in a video, so I don't know where she's getting this information. That's incredible. I guarantee it's a copy and paste, and she's sending it to a hundred people. Should I see if I have it?
Starting point is 00:17:28 You should. When I talk about how broke I am all the time, there's no way she's going to ask me for money. It was amazing. I'm like, I really hope you get that purse. Someone will buy her that purse. I don't know. A man will buy her that purse and be like, okay, but send me some of your old underwear. Show me her username.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Is that a good week, though? yeah i just thought it was an amazing message okay good hey what's your bad week um so my bad week uh okay so the other night i was going to bed and we all know that i'm blind without glasses i'm laying in bed i take off my glasses i like take my melatonin to go to bed and my lips were really dry so like went to grab my chapsticks start putting chapstick on you're such an idiot and i'm just laying there and a couple minutes later my lips like start to tangle and i'm like oh i'm like what kind of chapstick is this i don't know i like it's lube i put lube on my lips and it was from emily the last time she came here gave us this tingly ass lube
Starting point is 00:18:22 that's actually not lube that's clitoral stimulator yeah whatever it was clitoral stimulant on your lips and i've got i love that it was in the same place as your chapstick on your bedside table right it's in the same kind of like little containers as like one of those how was it i feel like you'd be terrible at being blind because like i feel like i could close my eyes and make my way to like all my normal things on my bedside table and like feel that they're different if they're not this you know what i mean like how are you so bad at this but well because i have a chapstick that's like the same kind of bottle and also these lubes are very it's deceiving clitoral stimulant the clitoral stimulant is deceiving and the lube is deceiving
Starting point is 00:19:04 because it looked like a so is that the one we tried when nico was here yeah okay that is tricky yeah but i've got to say it plumps up your lips which ones that should be their new campaign it's a lip plumper shorts and south pole trademark okay kara i know the bar is high the bar is so high and i've literally been sitting here racking don't break the rules let's start with your good week well my good week is obviously being here with you guys that's adorable but it's but really i know it's been it's tuesday so it's been like a short short week so this is well we count it from like the most recent tuesday or the i'm gonna have to i'm gonna have to stick with my my first answer
Starting point is 00:19:50 that's why we're so close hold my hand yep and my bad week you guys this is awful and not funny in the slightest but i've been so encumbered by the story i feel the responsibility to share it with everyone oh no this has been haunting me all week so it really sincerely is my bad week but i'm obsessed with the daily mail does anyone read it yes okay so mostly when i'm googling myself there you go so it's like celebrity gossip and like world news but they the stories are like super salacious and sad and i was driving with sydney my assistant the other day and i had read the story and i've shared it with everyone that there was this couple in russia that was traveling and they like filled out their paperwork for their dog and they got to the airport and the air and
Starting point is 00:20:29 the airport like couldn't allow the dog to fly because the paperwork was filled inaccurately so they left their dog outside the airport in russia and three days later it was found frozen to death oh what i know really good for the lady but i couldn't think of anything else people need how do dogs freeze to death like a human freezes to death you are so cold that your body that is like the worst way to go i know would you rather burn to death or freeze i literally had this conversation with scott like two days ago i'd rather burn no freeze freeze freezing takes so long i feel like that if you were burning to death there is like a chance that like you would die of smoke inhalation before you burn so maybe i'd go that way but either way it's not good i
Starting point is 00:21:11 think drowning is the worst way to go because you're like aware well on that note thanks for coming cara hey cara thanks for coming to the lady gang our fun light-hearted weekly girl chat when we come back cara will tell you the story about i can't wait for my your head's gonna explode now back to the lady gang we are back at the lady gang podcast i want to hear the story about miami but i want to tease it through a little bit i want to begin by asking you to reenact the story from miami well i wasn't there okay tell us but i have a friend who is a gorgeous beautiful model her name is devon windsor shout out to devon and she dates a really handsome guy
Starting point is 00:21:58 who lives in miami who has a sister that is like 23 years old and i hate that girl i know but she's really sweet is she pretty so pretty they all are yeah yeah and they're rich too so they're like So anyways, the sister and her friend were at this bar and the story obviously has been told to me by Devin. So just FYI, I didn't experience it. Yes. So her and her sister at this bar, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like friends hooking up with this really cute guy at the bar.
Starting point is 00:22:27 They're like making out. They're drunk. He's like, come home with me. She's like, no, I don't like, I don't do that. I don't do one night stand. So she's like, no, like take my number. He's like, no, whatever. So they part ways.
Starting point is 00:22:35 And she was like, God, he was so hot, but like bummer. I'll never see him again. so about a week later she has this like thing on her mouth and she's like what is this like is it a herpes is it a sore like what is this like i don't know what this could even be from so she goes to the gynecologist and she gets a swab and they're like we'll call you in a couple of days a couple days go by and the doctor calls and he's like we need you to come in and oh that's never good news never good news it's but like they'll just tell you you have herpes over the phone like you don't have to come in for that so she's like well come in if you're
Starting point is 00:23:05 dying yeah she's like what the f like okay so i cut she goes in and there's two police officers uh-huh and oh my okay wait you ain't ready for this okay i'm trying to okay go ahead okay you ready you want to play like we're ready we're ready so the police officer is like the bacteria that was found oh my god in your mouth is only a bacteria that is found in dead people so who Were you kissing? She's like, what? Oh, my God. The only person I've kissed is, like, this guy.
Starting point is 00:23:38 He's definitely alive. Yeah, he was alive. Like, I don't know. I'm sorry. Jack's reaction was a zombie. What else would it be? That's not a thing. That's not a thing.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Continue. So she's like, the only person I kissed was this guy at this bar. And, like, I literally, like, have no idea who he is or blah, blah, blah. Did he kiss a dead girl and kill someone? Get ready. Oh, my God. so they go to the bar they track down the receipts and look at the security camera they find the guy they go to the guy's house he's not there they open the door they like have a search warrant
Starting point is 00:24:10 they go through the place and sure enough they find dead people i mean i don't know if it was like one or five of missing girls oh of missing girls in the florida in the florida area in miami killed her yes if she was trying to kill her but wait but also that means he was making out with dead people i think it means that he was actually a necrophiliac is that what that is yeah but isn't it didn't he wouldn't he have had to been going down on them no no no no because it wasn't no his mouth had to be making contact with a dead person's saliva or body fluid somehow yeah she just said it was bacteria so it's probably anywhere on any bodily fluid but i could see how your mind would wander yeah yeah oh my how about them apples also what does f-u-c-k
Starting point is 00:24:57 stand for okay so it's an acronym that used to be put over the prison cells and like i don't know 14th wait i should give a backstory okay we told kara when she got here she was not allowed to say the f word any other word but the f word and she's like can i say the acronym for the f word and we were like the f word is not an acronym fact yeah this is the best one oh this is my fun fact so this is your fun fact so my fun fact is that the acronym for f-u-c-k that word comes from back in the day when people in europe i think england committed sex crimes they would be put in jail and above their jail cell it would say for unlawful carnal knowledge and so for unlawful carnal knowledge is the acronym for you're so pretty and so smart i don't know about that but
Starting point is 00:25:47 it's making me feel weird it's true no you should go on jeopardy she's like a unicorn definitely should go on jeopardy okay we've covered murder dead dogs this is such a great episode um i'm happy that today i'm michelle williams that's what i'm walking away with hey girl okay you guys know i went to 13 weddings in 2006 including becca tobin's my favorite wedding i mean becca your wedding was amazing was my friend sarah mitchells because she used zola as her gift registry and it made it super easy for me to get her this beautiful like silver tin can things for her wedding okay here's what's great about Zola. It's a gift registry that will do anything for love. Couples can register for the brands they want on a super easy use platform with the ability to personalize
Starting point is 00:26:27 everything with notes and photos. And it's a one-stop registry that congregates tons of brands into your registry. And what makes it super easy, my favorite thing, group gifting. So all the bridesmaids, you can all get together and buy them that one pressure cooker or whatever. And the couples can have your gift shipped now, later, or you register and even exchange things right on the money um we love zola and also couples get 10 off everything they buy off their registry one year after their registry go to zola the gifts experiences and funds you want all in one place listeners receive 50 when you register and use zola so go to zola.com slash lady gang for details that zola.com slash lady gang essentially getting 50 you guys you're getting that present for them
Starting point is 00:27:10 for free go now okay what's going on now here's the lady gang i want us because we have not been together all four of us since we were bridesmaids unofficially at becca's wedding actually none of us were none of us were bridesmaids because becca didn't oh did you have brides my sister technically was like the woman of honor i'm offended i wasn't asked i wasn't asked either the hell why no bridesmaids because i just think it's i couldn't handle that i can't handle it all that energy back i'd have brides seriously never i didn't expect to get a card in the mail that's like be my bridesmaids with like confetti in it i would think somebody wouldn't you think something yeah yeah i'd be like who are you exactly what i'm gonna send you
Starting point is 00:27:57 when i ask you i'd love it for anyone else just for me i just can't so since we haven't all official all the bridesmaids haven't been together since becca's wedding i do want us to like recount one memory of the wedding is that okay i'm scared to know what memory okay go i'll start becca cried like a pussy everyone becca i've never seen this side of her in my life literally she came down the stairs and it was like i know it wasn't yes it was thank you jack i don't remember Were you crying at all? What? I don't either.
Starting point is 00:28:33 I remember her getting kind of a little bit teary. Becca, you cried all the way down the aisle. Don't act like you didn't. Yeah, I cried like a little bit. Yeah, I cried all the way down the aisle. You cried all down the aisle. But it was, I was holding it in. No, you weren't.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Yes, I was. Not in my eyes. I was on the aisle. Were you on the aisle? I was too. No, you weren't. Were you on the aisle? I was on the aisle, but I don't remember crying.
Starting point is 00:28:50 I was like taking deep breaths, like Susan Sarandon style when she's like trying not to Okay, but it looked like you were convulsingly crying and it was the highlight of my life. No, I was definitely crying. I was so touched by your crying. I've got to say I was very touched with you getting emotional. I think it means way more than, like, me getting emotional because I cry. Because you cry every day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:07 Wait, why do I not remember you being emotional? Don't you remember? I could barely – I actually re-watched the video of our vows, and, like, it doesn't even sound like my voice because it sounds like I'm, like, holding back, like – Okay, good, good, good. Yeah. But Zach also looked very handsome, and I loved his shoes. Okay, Kara, do you have a memory?
Starting point is 00:29:25 Are we sharing random memories from that? Yeah, like a fun memory. Oh, a fun memory? Well, no, don't share, like, we had this awful time. Well, I mean, it was a beautiful wedding, and I loved what your father said at the dinner about, you know, Zach and Becca, you have to remember for the rest of your life that no one will do better. Like, Zach will never find another woman that's better for him than Becca and vice versa. And I thought that that was really sweet.
Starting point is 00:29:48 But obviously the memory that stands out to me the most would be when I woke up on Sunday morning to my flight being canceled. and every flight for the rest of the day being canceled and had, like, a huge meeting on Monday. So I texted Leah, who I also knew had to be at work on Monday, who had texted Kelty, who also had to be on work on Monday. And why did Leah text me? Because you're A-type on cocaine. Because I'm the mom of the friend group.
Starting point is 00:30:14 100%. Literally, I'm about to build – we're going to get to your memory, but I'm about to build a sexy fire in our little, like, beautiful Wyoming cabin. We had a fireplace in our room. Okay, I was like – And I was like, ooh, Chris, we're so hungover. And I'm like, let's build a sexy fire. And I'm literally bending over naked to put the log on the fire.
Starting point is 00:30:32 And he goes, hold on a minute, in his Chris voice. And then he's like, flight's been canceled. And then he immediately, without me even saying anything, gets on the phone, starts calling the airline, calls his assistant. He's a doer. He's such a doer. So then he's like, I call Leah. And she's like, oh my gosh, you're freaking her out.
Starting point is 00:30:49 She's like losing her mind. And I was like, Leah, don't worry. I'm going to get you to work tomorrow. I got to work too, girl. Like, we're good. So anyway, the only option was to rent a car and drive from Jackson Hole to Salt Lake City, which is a six-hour drive in the snowstorm. Did you guys realize that you could have driven two and a half hours to Idaho or something?
Starting point is 00:31:09 That was closed. Really? We had other people who did it. That day? Yeah. Well, we really bonded. Mom fail. So let's talk about that.
Starting point is 00:31:18 So we were in a snowstorm, and I'm from Canada, so I'm like, snow no big deal. and everyone else was like Californians and they could not, the Uber driver with chains on his wheels as he should and like Jesse was pretty calm because he grew up in like upstate Connecticut, there's a lot of snow, you were pretty chill
Starting point is 00:31:36 Leah was pretty chill, Chris was very chill and meanwhile I'm in the back with a full like on panic attack, we are gonna die in this snowstorm leaving Becca's wedding, I'm so sad, this is how it's gonna end this is the memory of the wedding and kelty in her very maternal way was like this is totally fine like i when i was in canada we
Starting point is 00:31:58 used to drive through this stuff all the time babe don't even worry when i was in canada needless to say we got through it but it was revealed to me afterwards that everyone who was staying calm for me was slightly panicking even the russian uber driver with the chains on his wheels because it was the worst snowstorm that they had ever driven through yep 18 inches of snow yeah it was insane did you guys slide around at all we didn't have any slides you went pretty slow but it's just that thing of when you're encapsulated with the snow and you can't see out and like the windshield wipers like and you're just like it's kind of scary you can't see but we had like a hand in front of you outside of the windshield but we had a lot of fun we did
Starting point is 00:32:37 we did it was a great memory i really bonded we did i looked through magazines i got story ideas we relived our memories the night before we ate at that terrible restaurant where i would like refuse to have any food there yeah and i ate everything because i'm a mom and i was just hungry i need to fit my mom jeans jack um i think my favorite well one of my favorite but the memory that sticks out for me is when your dad was making all these references to our podcast oh my god and nobody else got him obviously except for me and tulsi in the back he was roasting us roasting he's like i hope that zach and becca sleep on their casper mattress while becca's wearing her third love bra and they're getting their discounts with ibotta like it was the funniest thing and i
Starting point is 00:33:23 was like oh my god we're so famous you guys were so famous we loved it so much can i tell my favorite story yeah from my wedding i know what it is marrying zach nope that's second place um it is that my friend vanessa from new york was sitting next to me at breakfast the morning after the wedding she's like so what's um jack's boyfriend's deal and i was like oh what she's like what's their story and i was like he's great we love him like what's going on she goes well i got someone requesting to airdrop me some photos yesterday oh my god yeah and she's like sent to me and says scott huff would like to airdrop you some photos i can't believe i waited this long to tell you oh no when i was like i don't know and i was like
Starting point is 00:34:23 what and in my mind i was like he sent her dick pics like and my friend vanessa is like this like fiery redhead and like men love her and i'm like oh she was putting out the vibes and now we're gonna have a situation and i was like well what are you talking about like show me these photos it's jack in a bathtub she thought they were swingers and inviting her to come have a bath because jack is such a psychopath that she makes jack scott take pictures of her everywhere and obviously everywhere wait but why was she why was he airdropping them they must he was trying accidentally airdrop them to other people she has a glass she has a mimosa congratulations a mimosa this looks like she's masturbating in the tub there's four photos of jack
Starting point is 00:35:17 just in the tub we're putting this on instagram yeah those are really good photos but i was an amazing and i and i suddenly was like oh my god vanessa no he's an instagram husband and he must have just been in the vicinity of the airdrop and she's like thank god that's so weird i thought they were inviting me over deal i thought you were gonna talk about how you caught us taking a selfie getting on the airplane oh i caught that too i have a photo of that that'll be for another podcast they everywhere they go taking pictures and also like i always wondered how she got so many great photos because anytime i'm in a situation where i'm like oh this would be a great photo there's like people around there's people trying to do stuff jack does not care
Starting point is 00:35:55 He does not care. No. We're boarding the airplane. And it's in Jackson Hole. There's snow on the ground. We're outside. It's freezing. And everybody on the airplane was at the wedding, too.
Starting point is 00:36:07 It wasn't like strangers. Yes. So there's like a tiny, it's the kind where there's no jetway. Like you walk onto the plane from outside. So I'm sitting in my seat, and I'm looking at the bridge to walk on. And I'm like, oh, there's Jack and Scott and like 400 people behind them. and they stop to take a selfie and i just see like the entire crowd of people try to like scoop by them and then like roll their eyes and it was just with suitcases and i'm like she does she
Starting point is 00:36:38 gives no f's we caught a good photo all in name of a good photo i'll do anything for a good photo so there you go um one last memory is when our tall husbands and jack and i were like we've had so much fun at this wedding we drank so much i drank like 17 bottles of wine and we decided we need to go in the hot tub at like two in the morning so we're all in the hot tub in our bathing suits when you're wasted with fur hats and this is the best part i was like shh we don't want becca to know we went to the hot tub so we're like let's keep our voices down and then i tell becca i'm like yeah we had so much fun after the wedding went to the hot tub she's like no you didn't we could hear you bitches yeah yeah we can hear you the whole party i was like yeah you did
Starting point is 00:37:17 the whole party was listening probably because we were we had the best time facebook live streaming we did a facebook live okay um now we're gonna take a break and you're gonna figure out who is cara santana yeah exactly we're gonna talk about care you're listening to the lady gang and we're back cara it is your time to shine first of all let's talk about the glam app because we love this app and i have downloaded it and i recently realized that all the pictures are you being gorgeous yes she's so talk tell me why and where we can get it what cities our girls can get it why i'm the model or why i created it why you created it oh okay that that's a better story than the fact that it was you know the most cost-effective way and also i'm the most ambiguous
Starting point is 00:38:03 looking person that you could possibly find so i thought it would be a good way to like sidestep any discrimination in case some ethnic people wanted to use exactly but that is not why i created the app why i created the app was because i was shooting a television show in shreveport louisiana a show called salem and i was playing a 16th century native american indian and i booked the show on a tuesday flew out wednesday and we started filming on thursday and when i got there they're like great we need to dye your hair you need to take off your extensions on your nails and your eye lash extensions so good luck we'll see you tomorrow on set and i was like homegirl be high maintenance yeah i was like that was like during like my
Starting point is 00:38:45 ratchet like as like a love and hip-hop wife or something yeah um and so i was like gosh well where do i go i don't know the city i don't have a car they're not gonna do it for me oh i wish there was a way that i could get someone to come to me and do it and i was like oh genius like uber for hair makeup and nails so i called my good friend joey maloof who's done my hair and makeup for years as well as countless other people and i said i have this idea but i want to make it equally advantageous for consumers and providers and really understand the plight of the freelance beauty professional can you help me and so we created and built out this idea and basically it's you know accessible affordable and luxurious beauty services on demand in 22 cities so this is
Starting point is 00:39:25 like when you are going to a wedding or you're going to your prom or you're going to your corporate event or you're going to the office christmas party and you want to have like a professional glam team you can get on this app and order your blow dry order your finger waves order your smoky eye your manicure your pedicure becca do you order it per like you just want makeup or you just want hair you can order everything at once or one by one you can book in advance or order within an hour that's amazing we come to you it's the bomb that's so cool changed my life i'm so glad that's what we wanted and so you australia girls are out of luck right now but yeah you have like 30 cities right they're in
Starting point is 00:40:04 we're in 22 are you guys have a big following in australia what's up we do okay we have some aussies yeah awesome we have a lot of girls in the uk too yeah we're in london yeah oh you are we are in london and then 21 cities across the united states it's fabulous so if somebody's like a makeup artist can they sign up on your app they can they can go to the glam app.com backslash stylist and it's about a two-minute application process to sign up and then obviously we review it on the back end and then we contact you and approve you we have 1900 stylists that's amazing in three different categories by the way so whether you're a beginner just out of beauty school or a professional with 20 years of experience you can sign up and does the price
Starting point is 00:40:41 depend on if you want like a specialist or you want a beginner so if you just want a regular blow-dry and you're like let me be budget this week you can get a budgety person i love that and cara pretty much tries like the majority of the stylists that she's in their city like so she approves them and she's some high maintenance girl i am pretty high maintenance so these people are good yes it's not like that's so cool yeah yes it's not uber x no it is not uber x it is not uber x it's uber luxury yes a little bit of luxury it's a black car i think it's really fabulous i do want to ask you um since you did create the glam app what is one beauty thing you would have told yourself at 15 that you wish you could have told yourself uh less is more for sure
Starting point is 00:41:22 I feel like we try and pack it on, and really when you're young, your skin's your best asset, so less is more. So you don't like the Kylie Jenner face? Too much beat? No, it's not that I don't like it, and I think there's a time and a place for that for sure, and I think she's a beautiful girl, but I just think as a younger person, I would say you don't need all that. And on the day-to-day, I don't think you need all that, but it's totally fun when you're going out to red carpet or holiday Christmas party. Contour queen is what it's called on the app. And then we have a no-makeup makeup, which is what I prefer for the day-to-day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Becca, what would you hold yourself at 15? I don't know. She's like, I was so beautiful, I never got dumped. Probably something. So, you know, I'm fine. No. Oh, stop tanning. Stop tanning.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Oh, my God. What are you doing, you idiots? Get out of the tanning bed. Did you get one of those sticker things? Were you orange? I was orange. You would have thought my parents were those people with, like, a tanning bed in the basement. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:18 I went to Power Tan. I think that was the name of it. i use the tingle cream and like homegirl is not a naturally tan person so i was orange oh yeah oh gross did you ever have the playboy bunny sticker that you put on your head that's what i did yep i did playboy bunny or i would do the heart outline i remember that tan on the inside of the heart god it's disgusting jack what would you have done i mean other than the eyebrow thing um probably stop wearing a water bra because i'm not fooling anybody that i have i wear a water bra too we are the same it's a bra that like literally has inserts of water it's juicy when
Starting point is 00:42:54 you have you ever this happens to me all the time you see like a lot so i wear like on on the show i wear like a massive one of those like two cup push-up bras so it's like it's just full and america loves america loves tits but then sometimes i like like today michael bolton after our interview i like give him a hug and then i'm always like do people think i have implants because yeah they like push against him so hard it's like hard titties i love how much press you're giving michael bolton it's the most press that he's gotten in like 130 years i love michael bolton i love him i don't really have that he came on glee and he was so lovely he sang happy birthday to someone for their birthday oh that is nice right i love that that's cute what would you
Starting point is 00:43:35 tell yourself kelty well i would tell myself to stop doing the at home highlighting caps oh my god you were brave do you remember those so you put on a shower cup cap thing and you tie it yes and then it comes with a little spork and if you want a lot of highlights you do every hole and if you want just like a light highlight you remember those did you do it no i've never heard of it you you really you spork out like little hair and then everything that's out of the cap gets dyed you put bleach on and then at the end you pull the cap off and you have like some brown noodles and some blonde noodles. This is the opening scene of my sitcom
Starting point is 00:44:14 when I introduce this character. Kelsey Atkins. I did it all the time. And then I would sleep with my hair in like a hundred braids, like Coolio. And then I would take them out and it would be crimped. Hey.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Oh, yeah, stop doing that. That's why no one follows me on Instagram. Style maven. Kara, I also want to ask you about your wedding plans. Since we experienced Becca's wedding together, yes um do you have a dress do you have a date are you getting married soon um can i wear your ring while we talk about it you can't fit it her she's the smallest fingers i've ever seen to put this on it's a pinky ring oh my god how tiny are her fingers it fits just on my pinky or not we've
Starting point is 00:44:58 covered this am i smaller you're smaller than a four really can you're like can jack try it of course you're three here jack i hope you have enough muscles to hold that um no to answer your question oh my god it doesn't even fit my pinky i do know what i'm gonna do with my dress i'm gonna wear some i'm gonna wear my mother's dress but i'm going to like modernize it okay i almost did that you did yeah but your dress was so beautiful thank you you made the right choice um so that's what i'm gonna do with the dress but no we actually we've been together so long like it'll be 11 years in february and i want to have a winter a summer wedding not a winter wedding and he works in the summer so we're gonna look at 2018 in august sometime will jesse go down
Starting point is 00:45:44 the aisle shirtless and can everybody like well i don't know that touches that mortifying it's gonna be a very small like intimate wedding like probably like 65 people yeah good luck no he'll be wearing clothes does it bother i mean you are a super uber babe but does it like is it hard to be marrying like the shirtless hottie guy no why would that be bothersome it's awesome because i mean sure all the women are like oh i see what you're saying well no because it's just less work for me if he's getting all the validation elsewhere then i have to try a little less that is a good point yeah that's a great way of thinking about it that it really is because men need a lot of it yeah they need a lot oh god they do i think they need it more than women for
Starting point is 00:46:26 sure we get the rap for being like insecure yeah i actually think men need it more 100 bigger ego How many bridesmaids are you having? Three and then... I actually, I like vacillate with this idea and I think I'm not going to do bridesmaids as well. Were you inspired by Taubes? No, it was something that I had already been thinking about
Starting point is 00:46:46 and I just feel like at a certain age, which That was my justification. At like 30, I'll be 33 when we get married potentially and he'll be almost 40. It's a little weird to be like having like girls
Starting point is 00:47:02 Plus, honestly, I have such a close-knit group of girlfriends, and if they were all bridesmaids, then I would have no one to invite to the wedding, so I'd rather have them sit there instead of stand next to me. Yeah, yeah. Do you have a song? We do. He proposed to me while the song was playing. Ooh, let's guess, let's guess.
Starting point is 00:47:21 Okay. She's not going to tell us. No, I will. You will? Can you give us a hint? Okay, no, no, no. I got it. You're just going to guess a random song?
Starting point is 00:47:27 Yes. Sparks. my guess is sparks by coldplay no not even close what the hell well close in the sense that the it the the person who sings the song is english no but close it's john lennon close robbie williams kylie minogue no elton john yes yes oh oh um um um hold me closer tiny dancer wow i'm so glad that you don't sing is that it no oh um is it the candle in the wind england's rose when princess diana died it's a very obscure is it um because i'm a rocket man right wow john is crying somewhere literally crying somewhere
Starting point is 00:48:18 right now what is it is she gonna play it right now for me like i didn't remember it She's going to play it for us. Kara's assistant pulled it up in case Kara forgets. You guys, it's not Elton John. It's not Elton John. Sorry. I heard, but you were close. I heard it, but no, you're wrong.
Starting point is 00:48:33 No, don't look. What is the song? I don't know. It's Pretty Girl by Eric Clapton. Oh. I don't think he's British. He's not. Yes, he is.
Starting point is 00:48:40 I bet he's American. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's British. Okay, well, you're fun. That's cute. I love Eric Clapton, but I really like his song Cocaine. It's my theme song. it's my favorite air as someone who was 12 years over okay one last question before we get to ask
Starting point is 00:49:01 the lady gang yes i want everyone to tell our listeners one beauty secret or thing that the regular gal doesn't know about the things that hollywood celebrities do to their beauty to make them feel better about themselves like why don't they wake up looking like here yeah here's my example so today i was in the makeup room and one of the girls assistants was like have you seen this and it's called a fat i thought of you it's a fascia roller and so you roll your cellulite and then that's like the before and after the before is literally like outside a dumpster in daylight lighting and she's all cellulited up and the after is if you took like a youtuber's diva light put some like shimmer lotion on and it's like bright white and i was like busy are you really
Starting point is 00:49:44 being fooled by this right now like this is so obvious so anyway what do you guys know about hollywood well i mean are we like excluding botox and filler but yeah everyone knows about that no i think it's important to talk about okay well i do like a lot of filler and botox and cool sculpting does cool sculpting work yes where do you get a ton dr diaz and beverly hills i mean on your body oh thanks dr diaz um i did the back of my arms and my inner thighs do you like the inner thigh i'm thinking about doing that i did my chin it didn't work is really is cool sculpting good for cellulite or just fat fat fat for cellulite i do the um what is it the lgp laser right lpg oh yeah it's like the laser lpg does that work yeah yeah it does okay it does and then like
Starting point is 00:50:36 filler everywhere under your eyes your jaw your nose your chin kara actually first of all i i effing love you yeah i really love you for actually admitting for admitting this because we all know these women us included we talk about it we're very open about what we do but kara was like the first girl that i met that was like oh my god yeah like i did my jawline like i did oh my god i completely changed my face yeah she basically was like i had a non-surgical nose job with the filler and i was like i love you because first of all she's beautiful with or without it but like she is one of those people that i look at sometimes and i'm like that is not sculpted by god sculpted by something higher dr rivkin i'm like that is something more
Starting point is 00:51:24 listen but in a natural way i don't feel like i would have never known i would have never known he's very conservative like he's the kind of doctor that if you like ask to do your lips again And he'll be like, it's too much. No, I'm not doing it. I love doctors like that. Yeah. So he's super conservative. And I don't – thank you for saying that.
Starting point is 00:51:37 And I don't feel like women should be ashamed of it. Yeah. Like, who cares? What we got to do. It's all good. How many syringes of Juvederm do you think you have in your face right now? Probably like two or three. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:49 It's not a lot. And I use Voluma. Oh, yeah. It lasts longer. And if you don't like it, you can dissolve it right away. But I broke my nose when I was like a little girl. And I didn't hate it enough to like get a nose job. But when I was like, oh, I can just, like, put some filler in and it'll straighten out, great.
Starting point is 00:52:03 And then once I did that, I was like, oh, I wish my chin was a little longer. So I just put a little filler in that. And I was like, while I'm at it, may as well make my jaw, like, symmetrical. Like, who cares? You so don't look like – Nothing. It literally looks like you're just – this is how you are. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:17 Because some people do the filler, and I think what it is is the filler in the cheek is a very tricky – And they'll put, like, two syringes of filler in each cheek. And it's just like little apples. Yeah. And it's like it closes your eyes. Yeah. yeah it's so it's like less is more yes someone told me that they thought i got my cheeks done and i was like nope this is natural it's just my but i did do everything else um okay becca what's
Starting point is 00:52:40 yours what do you want the women to know about hollywood beauty well i mean kara covered it that like we're all getting help like if you had the budget of a hollywood actress or some of them don't even have the budget but they do it anyway but if you spent the amount of money and time and energy that these beautiful women that we see do you would also look just as polished and whatever it takes a lot like yeah i thought about it the other day and i i consider myself to be a pretty pretty low maintenance person but i'm like the amount of money and time i spend just to like maintain this mediocrity is insane the fact that you drive down to san diego for your highlights really like well that's because i'm loyal too because my hair girl i'll
Starting point is 00:53:26 never leave her i'll never leave you sherry um i would like everyone to know that most everyone's hair is fake like even the people that are like the hosts on the today show and like they all have the girl in the like so when you cut out a picture and you're like i want my hair cut like this and you take it to your hair styles like it's just not humanly possible because there's so much fake hair in your head and when you see like no offense not like selena gomez is ever going to come on this podcast but like when you see selena gomez's pantene commercial i've literally seen selena without her extensions and she's like a bob so it's like you know it's just like you feel so bad about yourself when you don't have like the most fabulous like thing head of hair but i think
Starting point is 00:54:09 a lot of people have fake hair and also i'm very interested to know about this new halo hair extension that you just put on with fishing wire but that's another episode you like it yeah i like i need to see i mean you can't like wear it like every single day but if you're like going to an event you want that fullness i mean i have extensions in right now but if i was going out and i really wanted like voluminous hair i just like put the halo in and it's just like oh yeah is there anything you want people to know i mean i would just say that everything is deceiving because like becca said you know you go to the doctor and you're like oh maybe i'll try this ipl facial and then i'll look like a kardashian but it's like no the kardashians are
Starting point is 00:54:45 getting lasers and peels and vampire facial and this and this and this and this they're getting like 15 things not the one thing that's costing 200 bucks that's true like it's a whole top to bottom yeah head to toe they're spending probably like 500 000 look like that and it's hard for me to just keep up with my bikini waxes so like how do you do it are you still gonna do that now that you're married yeah i don't know i had to change to a shave it's too expensive shaving is like the worst. Well, I had laser, so I have like sprouts. Yeah, I don't grow any hair. No, I just have to wax. Go laser. I did.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Nothing. Becca hates laser. Like, honestly, it's the worst feeling in the entire world. It's so... Okay, we've... Never mind. I know. We've thought of this. On that note, Cara's gonna stick around, because I don't know if you guys really have let this sink in. Not only she's a successful actress,
Starting point is 00:55:32 she also is marrying one of the hottest guys in Hollywood, and she's an entrepreneur and started her own company that's like all the way in London. All the way. Like, I mean, it's just not successful in the States. It's also in London. She's figured it out. So she's definitely figured it out.
Starting point is 00:55:44 So she's going to stick around and help us answer our Ask the Lady Gang questions after this. Hey, ladies! Get funky. Ask the Lady Gang. And we're back. Before we start Ask the Lady Gang, if you guys want 20% off jackmanic.com, use code LADYGANG. Okay, are you ready to give some advice to our listeners? Always.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Okay, our first question comes from... Kara gives good advice. No, I don't. Yes, you do. You give good advice. we both do thanks that's why we that's why we get along yeah pragmatic but still like idealistic you've obviously not listened to our podcast because becca gets really bad at filming i i disagree i think i give great advice okay i don't know if it's always the
Starting point is 00:56:24 most appropriate advice people cry sometimes yeah when i give advice okay our first question comes from lindsey and she says what fashion trends do you ladies wish would disappear and which trends do you wish would come become super trendy in 2017 okay so my answer to that and this is like the one thing i hate about trends it's like you don't define yourself by what other people are wearing it's about personal style so there are trends out there that like don't work for me and i'm never gonna be able to pull off yeah and so i don't wear them and then there are trends that like work for me and i'll wear them until eternity so don't like worry about trends just like what looks good for you what's a trend though that you're like
Starting point is 00:57:06 please leave creeper shoes like no one looks good in those are those coming back they've been back yeah they have the creepers like the platform creepers oxford yeah it's back oh i like that though there's a bunch of pop punk guys probably like me like the um invisible like dress look where where it's like you can see the legs and like different cutouts of the body and then there's like feathers like very george chakra like ask i'm i'm a little over that i mean just it's been done and it's been done well so i think it's time to like put your clothes back on less is more i like that yeah well i don't know what mine is i hate the high low trend what's that is that like where it's like short in the front and yeah i see it everywhere so like they dress i wear to the
Starting point is 00:57:51 golden globes then probably personally on me it makes my legs look stumpy and horrible so i've never worn it but good save good save yeah i don't know personally i don't really love it but you looked fine i'm gonna say here oh this i know mine and it's not because it looks bad it's fine but like the adidas like those are all coming back it's coming back but it's like show some individuality like don't everybody just put on the freaking adidas shoe and like suddenly you feel like a fashionista yeah i live in that shoe back but today i'm rocking converse but see i don't think they look bad i think they look very cute but i also see these bloggers that are like wearing them acting like they're breaking glass shattering glass ceilings and i'm like okay
Starting point is 00:58:38 hillary clinton hillary probably could have been the first female president or she could have been the first to wear adidas three stripe shell toe sneakers who would break the glass ceiling first It's fine, but don't pretend like you're like, you know what I mean? Created fashion. That's a problem with Instagram, because it's like one person sees another person, and then it's a snowball, and then everybody thinks that they're super individual, but it's like the same shit over and over again. And I understand why you do it.
Starting point is 00:59:06 It's cute. At least that one's a cute one. I just like it, because it's like... It's a little played out. Well, it's also... It's a little played out. Yeah. But it's comfortable.
Starting point is 00:59:13 I never got them. I already said mine. Next question is my... Oh. I'm nodding my head like, move it along. And Jack prompted. Okay, our second question is from Haley. She says, I broke up with my boyfriend of one year about two months ago, and I'm still a little upset about it.
Starting point is 00:59:29 He has a new girlfriend, and I still feel like I'm waiting around for him to want me back. He obviously isn't coming back, and I am ready to start moving on and stop being a crazy ex-girlfriend. How do I do this? Therapy? I will say that she's probably stalking him on social media to some point. Yeah, you have to stalk back, because then you're, like, reliving everything. yeah so unfollow him and block him and don't let yourself look at his shit late at night after a few glasses of wine and you know that i've said this advice before it's what worked
Starting point is 01:00:02 for me get a calendar write one horrible thing about him on every day for 30 days and every day that you do not think about him talk to him or like passively aggressively tweet like adele lyrics you get to cross off one day and then once you can do it for 30 days you are cleansed I did it isn't it like 21 days that like you need a full 30 for a broken heart honey well I heard that it's half the time you were with the person yeah no that's from sex in the city and that's I don't think that there's any truth to that I don't think there's everything I live by is what Darren Star wrote I know and you can but I don't think that that's real because like how depressing is that if you're with somebody for 10 years and you're like yeah shit I gotta get
Starting point is 01:00:41 it'll take me five years to get over it five years no married when i'm 40 i think have a fling with someone else maybe but i used to find that if i ran off and like looked for something else that like that person would suck and i'd be like i just missed the other person like have you ever missed you've never been dumped i in deep down i have missed people oh my god I met somebody once. One time I had a small regret about dumping someone. It only lasted 30 seconds. The only time I regretted breaking up with someone was when I met someone new and they sucked so badly that I was like, what was I thinking?
Starting point is 01:01:20 So, like, nothing's going to send you running back into the arms of that person or wanting to be back with that person. If you settle for, like, some douchebag in a bar, granted, I think what I would like to do, if I were you, is make a list of all those guys that you wanted to hook up with that year that you were with your boyfriend and get to work. Get to work, honey. Yeah. Boom. Boom, boom, room.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Yeah. And Kara says therapy because she's the only healthy person here. That is so not true. I don't know. Therapy? Yeah. There's no time, right, to, like, move on from someone. It's all different.
Starting point is 01:01:55 Hang out with your girlfriends and talk shit about them. Yep. Talking shit does help. 100%. Okay, our last question comes from Kay, and she says, I'm 26 years old, and I have never had a boyfriend. I describe myself as outgoing, friendly, and above average in the looks department. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:02:09 Hey, girl. Hey. Hey, Kay. I don't know what the basics of dating entail. Do you have any suggestions or big no-no's I need to keep in mind while navigating my way through these bleak Bumble prospects? Bumble. what's bumble dating app oh i know you do know i will say this since you are starting late you've
Starting point is 01:02:31 been career and education driven maybe or you've just been hanging out with your friends um or your parents you have to go date a whole lot yeah because i think you gotta it's like tasting the rainbow do you want a red skittle do you want a blue skittle do they make blue skittles no you want a green skittle you gotta go date a whole bunch of guys so i think you should like be adam sandler and go on 50 first dates that's good advice i agree i mean i always think it's really good to get yourself out there and if you're outgoing then that shouldn't be a problem for you i think that it would be way more of kind of an obstacle if you're an introvert so and you're above average in the looks department girl everyone's gonna want to match with you confident
Starting point is 01:03:08 which i love i know yeah just get out there and date some guys and you can learn about about yourself and have some fun use a condom don't kiss any guys don't have sex like save for marriage like if you're like if you waited you're 26 years old i don't think she's a virgin oh you're like you've waited this long wait so she's having sex but she's not dating yeah what's wrong with that well then i think her problem is she's a little slutty so born again virgin yeah sorry kate no but you are above average in the looks department so you're gonna be yeah don't put out on the first date yeah wait till the second one i would say just date a whole bunch of people and also when they're like what do you feel like doing don't
Starting point is 01:03:54 be like let's go for a hike no no no girl go get a drink let's go shopping let's go to the restaurant i've always wanted to go to who wants to shop like well get your money's worth out of these dates go to a nice dinner you are like dinner it's okay you're like out of touch mom now this you just turned a corner you've been married for too long don't go on a hike let's go shopping no but i would like to go on a shopping spree never listen to kelty's advice no let's just let's just work on like meeting some quality guys meet him at a bar go get a drink that's a good first date okay i gotta say the majority of my friends who meet people that they like that actually work out it's through friends like i have to say there has to be a
