Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here. Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:00:19 I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Hello. Hey, ladies. Hey. We're all in sweaters. It's sweater weather. sweater weather. Yes. And I have last night's makeup on. So where'd you go last night? Well, I want to talk about it. It's my good week, bad week. Oh, okay. Well, we'll hop in. It's time for good week. Yes, it is bad week. Oh no. All right. So, um, last night I went or, you know,
Starting point is 00:00:52 this week I went to the American ballet theater gala at the Hilton. It's my favorite event of the year. Becca, you went with me. It's getting better and better every year. And I just truly love to watch ballet. Like I have got to figure out where I can be going once a month to see something like something of this caliber. It is my favorite thing. Like I am obsessed with it. It was so fun. I took Ashley Everett, who's Beyonce's dance captain. Um, and we had reconnected at the Rockettes 100. And I, it was just so, so, so, so fun. And I, uh, so that was my good week. My bad week is, um, my friend is working for PR for BCBG and that's not a, I have not shopped or bought something from BCBG Max in like probably in my life, maybe since 2003, but like,
Starting point is 00:01:46 you know, they have nice stuff. It was popping back in the day. Yeah. But they sell it still like Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, like it is like a brand, you know? And she was like, Hey, let me know. And I always want to help these people out. You know what I mean? Cause like, it's hard to get someone to wear a BCBG something on the red carpet. And I was like, I got you. So I got this dress. I was going to wear it to something else. I ended up wearing it last night and I, I tailored it. And it was like, it's not the best dress. People are loving it on the internet. They're like, Oh my God. I'm like, maybe I have, anyway, it's not the best dress of all time, but I was like, I feel great. Fine. So I get there and two things have happened to me
Starting point is 00:02:19 in tandem order. And I need to discuss number one, I get there and I'm like, whatever. I'm sitting down to my chairs, actually visiting with our friend, Julie Chen. And this woman who is in her mid seventies, at least with like a teased hair, you know, that Beverly Hills, Brentwood lady, you know what I mean? Like husband invented post-its, you know, she comes over to me and she goes, oh my gosh, I have to know where your dress is from. I'm going to a party in Miami in two weeks. It's the perfect dress for me to wear. And I'm like, do I have the style of a 76, like is my dress appropriate for a 76 year old? And I said, yeah, isn't it great when you find a great dress that covers your elbows? Like I kind of laughed and I was like, we're not the same. And then I
Starting point is 00:03:01 was like, are we the same? And the only reason I'm feeling that way guys is because three weeks ago, I was in an event and I was wearing my fabulous YSL back. I think you borrowed it once like blazer jacket, silk dress. And I went to the bar and this woman turned to me and she goes, oh my God, you are so chic. And I was like, thank you. And she goes, that is like something my mom would wear and love. It's because it's because the generation below us is wearing no clothes at all. Do I need to start dressing like a slut? No. And they also don't have any concept of age. Like they think that like 40 is like decrepit. Yeah, it's true. I mean, I think about myself at 20 and I would be around a 40 year old woman and I'd be like, yeah, she could be my mom.
Starting point is 00:03:49 So yeah. The 75 year old woman I'm a little confused about because that dress is like kind of not scandalous, but it like has the, doesn't have like a low V, but it has a collar. So it's giving business sexual, you know? And when you don't have breasts on me, like on her, her boobs are going to be out, but on me, it's just nothing. So it's like, it's not a scandalous for me to wear a deep V, but I still was like, you know, and I'm game. I was like, give me your phone. And then I looked it up. I was so mad at myself that I didn't like have my shop, my link ready. I could have got a sale. I thought you were going to just give it to her off your back. I said that to her. I said, listen, I'm never wearing this again. Give me your address. I'll send it in the mail too. You can
Starting point is 00:04:29 have this one and she goes no no i'll buy it and i was like all right consumerism good i guess and then julie chen was like your friend will be so happy that you got a sale and i was like damn julie you're right it's true the dress is pretty i thought it was very pretty yeah thank you yeah um it's one of those dresses where like the fabric up close you're like it's giving mall but then in a photo and yeah anything can be great if you tailor it is it a little spandexy it's a little spandexy but like anything can be great if you take and the spandexy is what makes it so great because it's so comfortable yeah you know i was like i'm not in like i get anyway okay who's next i'll go um my good week is and this is rebecca that i did go see the trans-siberian
Starting point is 00:05:12 orchestra wonderful holy moly um i think i might have seen it when i was younger but i'm like this is such a experience because like you don't even really get Christmas vibes at all until maybe a little bit of the second half of the show is that's how it's structured the second half oh yeah because I'm like this is giving more Halloween yeah rock and roll it's giving rock and roll Halloween all and so you were you texted me and it's all of the same people that you toured with right yep everyone except for obviously the girl maybe the girl who's part like i was and then one other and then unfortunately the piano player uh he passed away a couple years ago but it's literally the same guitar players the same musical director the same singers the same
Starting point is 00:06:06 this gig is good i mean if i had not gotten glee i would have gone back and done trans-siberian orchestra for every year of my life it is insane well because you can tell especially the guitarist I'm like, these guys have been around the block, like in a good way. Like they are, they all have long ass hair. I was like, Jared, if you ever need a job, if the band ever ceases to exist, they pay for an orchestra. Well, I'm like, you'd probably, he could take over for one of the guys. I mean, one of those guys is quite old,
Starting point is 00:06:36 so he could jump in and take over and just moonlight. And he doesn't have to say who he is. Like they don't even have to tell the main fans. he would fit right in except for like they're very um like over the top and they're rockstarness the way that they play and jared's like i don't know if i could do this have you ever seen jared play no he's a rock star no he has it in him they were like they do like the fist they're very theatrical we could we could movement coach him i agree kelty he has it in him jared is not a wallflower when he plays guitar he has he has he has vibes no he definitely does he's not the same
Starting point is 00:07:12 man and licking envelopes for the happy hour mail club at the kitchen table with may and bill i'll tell you that right now jared on stage is a different beast okay okay it's true clip that clip that um i did love it though well we did leave early because we were trying to like you know get out of we didn't want to like yeah beat the rush damn you are old judith well we were with your we didn't stay for the last song because we needed to beat the parking i mean yes that is i I hate sing until the end. Um, I enjoyed it. I thought it was amazing. And I was like that, but there is no Christmas songs in this, but I guess whatever. Um, my bad week is kind of a bad week by proxy for Jared. So we made that custom breakfast nook out of the Ikea cabinets. It was,
Starting point is 00:07:59 it's not cheap. You know, we spent a lot of Ikea is way more expensive than it used to be. You spent a lot of money on the cabinet. Ikea had to buy the paint, had to buy custom cushions. The cushions are $600 because cushions are so expensive. I never knew. Anyways, we painted it blue. Then I was like, this is not the color. Let's paint it a dark green to fit with the vibe. And then I finally admitted that I don't like it. So now we're trying to sell it and get rid of it. So Jared posted it on Facebook marketplace and he's like, I have gotten so many inquiries of people asking me to make them custom cabinets like people think that he is a carpenter they think that he is going to make them this cabinet for 800 bucks or however much we put it on which
Starting point is 00:08:47 is less than everything that we paid for the materials of it and he is just inundated and I feel so bad yet now we still can't sell it because it's like such a custom shape and like it's it's becoming an issue um so if anybody out there needs a custom breakfast you might have to keep it jack this is home ownership no she's never gonna do that okay it doesn't match with her like i i finally like figured out her aesthetic for our house and i had purchased it too early thinking it was gonna be more quirky oh my god now i want it to be more like primitive sort of vibes and it's it's not it's not working primitive and interiors really bums me out which one which is the word primitive and interiors it really bums me out i know what
Starting point is 00:09:38 you're talking about i support it but i wish there was another term yeah i know it's like it sounds like a monastery and you're gonna like sit on like a raw stool to eat your stone that is kind of the vibe though it's like i mean it's like salem witch trial vibes like you know but like it's yeah i know natural but then people are like i don't know anyways well becca best of luck to your breath breakfast nook um this is just on fire today okay yeah okay peace breakfast nook My bad week is the neighborhood had a party for Christmas and, you know, Santa's there. My son has he's almost four and he has yet to sit on Santa's lap without screaming, crying or just the last two years just boycotting sitting there at all. So he's a real stranger danger kid.
Starting point is 00:10:31 He doesn't like which honestly, shouldn't we all be? Yeah, so strange. It's so strange. But anyways, that was a real struggle. we had to like get the picture, which I'm like, why do we need this picture? I don't know. I guess we can just show his wife what a pussy he is later that he wouldn't sit on this man's lap. I don't know. So we get the picture. He's already in such a bad mood. And it's just I want to have a freaking espresso martini and sit down and enjoy my neighbors and have a nice day. And then I see
Starting point is 00:10:59 Zach holding Ford. He is sobbing. I thought he had fallen. I thought we were going to the emergency room i thought there was a cracked skull no it's just that the grinch came to the party so a man dressed as the grinch shows up at the party in ford's defense it was like not a kid friendly front uh grinch costume you know it was really it was not cartoonish enough it was a little to dark arts. Okay. So he comes in and Ford is screaming his face off. We proceeded to spend the next hour dodging the Grinch until my friend finally had to get up and she had to say, Hey, Mr. Grinch, no disrespect. There is a child here who is petrified of you. And every time you come around, I know your intentions are nice. You're chasing around the big kids. They're getting a
Starting point is 00:11:53 kick out of it. We don't want to ruin anybody's time, but like get off the patio. So then I get an email from school and they say, Hey, this week it's Grinch week at school. Oh no. I had to be the mom that emailed the teacher and said, I just want to clarify that you guys are doing Grinch related things and that there is no grand finale of the Grinch showing up at school. was there no she said of course not i mean this is a woman in education you know she's not so anyways i felt like i mean at that party i just felt like god i hope my son thank god zach is his dad and i know that like there is a butch man inside of him somewhere you know like he can fix a car hopefully in 20 years but my god he is a pussy right now security cat
Starting point is 00:12:49 he's a puss puss so anyways sensitive he's so sensitive he hates he does not like the dark energy that the grinch brings oh my god hilarious um my good week is simply that i my algorithm somehow is now just capricorn capricorn capricorn my horoscope probably because we're getting into capricorn season every thing this is so crazy but every single meme on any of these accounts I feel seen for the first time in a really long time. Yeah. It's wild, you guys. I think that if you guys want to understand me better, you should follow a Capricorn astrology meme account because I thought all these things were shortcomings. I thought they were character flaws. I thought this was childhood trauma. I don't know, but it is just being a Capricorn and thank God for you.
Starting point is 00:13:45 yeah you're fine you're just a cat i'm just a cat you're just a capricorn you guys are gonna go i'm gonna send you some and you're gonna be like holy shit you are a capricorn is kelty not a capricorn i'm an aquarius she's an aquarius but didn't you realize later that you were a capricorn also i think so she has some capricorn traits but i think you're more aquarius all right when we come back we don't know her horoscope but we know she's a badass bitch. Chelsea Handler's here. Now back to the Lady Gang. Okay, Lady Gang, buckle up because today we're joined by a woman who needs zero introduction but is still getting one because I can't help myself. We love her podcast, Dear Chelsea. We love her Netflix comedy special, The Feeling. We love all of her New York Times bestselling books, and we love seeing her in Vegas at her Vegas residency at the Chelsea Theater. She's hilarious, fearless, brilliant. She's got a brand new tour, the High and Mighty Tour. Tickets are available now at chelseahandler.com. That tells us who it is. Please welcome back to the Lady Gang, the one and only unstoppable, live from Canada,
Starting point is 00:15:09 Chelsea Handler. Oh my God. Hi, girls. I missed you girls. We missed you. Why do you look 25? What did you do? What aren't I doing, ladies?
Starting point is 00:15:22 Okay. First of all, I have to apologize to you girls because I canceled on you last minute. So I'm so glad that we could reschedule. I don't, and it was, I was having sex with someone in New York City and I literally could not get out of the bed. Wow. Great excuse. I know. And I knew I had to tell you guys the truth because I was like, I have to come clean. I don't like to lie. I like to be forward. I mean, this is obviously volunteering information that nobody asked for. But I want to make sure that you guys know that I actually was like, oh shit, I had you guys and I had a couple other things that day.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I was in New York city and I had just hosted the today show with Jenna co-hosted the today show with Jenna. And I had some guy in town and then things got carried away. And then before I knew it, it was two 30 in the morning girls. And I was supposed to get in the car at 4 AM to go to JFK, get on a plane, which would have been fine. Cause I would have crashed, but then I would, and then flown to LA and had a whole day of press. And you know what I thought at two 30 in the morning girls, when I was just naked in bed with some man, I said, you know what? I deserve this. I don't want to get in a car at four o'clock in the morning. I am a woman and I've earned the right to do this. Wow. Amen. Honestly, I'm so proud of you. Now your publicist,
Starting point is 00:16:42 your great publicist did let us know that, oops, she missed her flight. Now we didn't know the backstory of how she missed her flight. And that honestly makes it better. I wish they would have written an email, Chelsea was getting too late in the morning and could not get out of bed. She's not able to make it. That honestly would have been better. I love getting too late in the morning, too early in the morning, more like it. I had to get to sleep. That's what I needed. I'm so proud of you. Now you're keeping your private life private now, I think, right? On purpose? I mean, you know, everything's a little bit private and a little bit public. Okay. Well, I'm glad for you. Thanks. Thanks. I'm jealous.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Is he like a one, like a one hit wonder? Is this, could this be something more? You know what? It doesn't even matter. I mean, probably, you know, but like, it's just so much fun to do stuff like that. It's so much fun to just be free and not have to, like, you know, really overthink things. I think that's also something all of three of you have to look forward to with age. You overthink things less and less and you just become more and more of who you truly are without any worry about how it's impacting others because you come to terms with the fact that you're a good person and you do nice things and you're reliable, blah, blah, blah, blah. And now you're free to do what the fuck you want to do. I was just thinking, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:18:12 I wish I had your mindset when I was single and like sleeping with random men in New York City because it's like I had so much anxiety and like all and like then I catch feelings for guys they didn't know and I'm like I wish I felt like that because that sounds like fun. Yeah this is what I hoped for myself when I was younger when I was in my 20s I thought I want to be this woman why aren't I there yet and now I'm here and I'm really enjoying every minute I'm now I'm making I'm making sure not to miss a second of the freedom that I feel as a woman. And also you have it like in your career. You know what I mean? Like, I think that's why you're so inspirational because you got to the top by being very authentic. And then you're like,
Starting point is 00:18:52 oh, cool. I'm going to, I have my residency. Like I have this, I have a book here. I have this, I have this. And like, then the rest of the time is yours. You're in Whistler. I can see your little Canadian trees behind you with the snow drops on the, like, you're just, what a dream. now speak of dream the tour what are we getting is this all new material on high and mighty are you filming it is this your next documentary like what are we are you are you wearing only the cargo pant like no i'm done i'm done with jumpsuits i'm done with jumpsuits i've retired the jumpsuits okay i can't wear another jumpsuit i'm just over it that's what i do with life i go as hard as i can go and then i'm done with the drug so i uh no this is a new tour all new all
Starting point is 00:19:32 new material. It's all about traveling, all about my escapades, all the men in all the places, all the, I just got back from Antarctica, you guys. That was crazy. It was a crazy trip. It was so, we, I mean, we crossed Drake's Passage. It was a psychedelic conference, conference. So like half the people on this boat were studying psychedelics and the other half were using them. And it was, it was epic. It was really fun trip. And so I'm going to be talking a lot about all my travels because I always find myself in the most ridiculous situations. And I mean, that's because, you know, it's by design. I like ridiculousness. Um, but yeah, Antarctica was really like one of those places where I'm like, I hope I get to go there one day.
Starting point is 00:20:17 Cool. I mean, were they studying you? Like, were you the participant that you're like, they should have been, at least I knew about enough not to give any psychedelics to the penguins because we were in close proximity to them and they have very strict rules about touching the penguins. Because like when you do psychedelics, you do feel like you're on a frequency with animals and with nature. Like you feel like you can communicate with a penguin and these poor little penguins. I mean, I posted some videos on my Instagram, but like they basically walk in this single file line. They have these webbed feet so they can only like jump up a step two feet at a time. And then their arms are behind, their flippers are behind their back. So they're
Starting point is 00:20:55 defenseless. So if they fall in the snow, which they do like 50 times a minute, they just have to pop back up. Like they have to use their abs and pop back up. So it was just a ridiculous, and we got to kayak around, humpback whales. Everyone did a polar plunge, but I was a little too, I was hungover that day. And I was like, that does not sound like it's going to be fun. It was just too cold, too cold. Um, so yeah. So like, it's all about, you know, my standup is going to be a lot about all my travels this year. I've been to like 40 countries this year. Wow. Holy shit. Yeah. Cause I did, uh, I did a high in my, I did my last comedy. No, I started this tour in Europe. I did like 24 cities in Europe at, in May and June. And then,
Starting point is 00:21:43 yeah. And then I've just been bopping around. And then Antarctica was my last trip, but yeah, I've been all over. I went to Argentina. I've been to all places, like, you know, a lot of European countries for my tour. So it was fun to like start a standup tour in Europe and bring it here. Cause usually it's the other way around. Usually I start in the States and then I go to Europe or Australia or New Zealand. I love this so much. Okay. So tickets are available now. ChelseaHandler.com for the High and Mighty Tour. Now, the reason you're in Whistler, but you are making your way, the most important country, back down to Hollywood country because you are hosting the Critics' Choice Awards Sunday, January 4th. Now, I just want to say something. This is
Starting point is 00:22:29 on E! and the USA Network. And I know that for a long time, people have been like, oh, the start of awards season is the Golden Globes. I want to just reframe. The start of the season is the Critics' Choice, and it will be, it is the best award show because it has the most categories. It has the most stars of any award show. Golden Globes is really actually quite small. The Critics' Choice is vast. And we've got Chelsea Handler as host. So right when you start the new year, you are going to watch Chelsea host the Critics' Choice Awards, and she's going to kill it. And in honor of her hosting the Critics' Choice Awards and me hosting the E! Live Rick carpet and presenting for the first time in my life. I've actually been asked to do something
Starting point is 00:23:10 fabulous. I still don't have a dress, Chelsea. I'm very nervous about walking out. Justin is, you know, Justin Sylvester, our friend, he's like, please don't show up like you're in Reba McIntyre at the Opry, like in sparkles and like your Disney, you know, and then I know you kind of go chic for critics choice. You were like, I mean, it is, you're right. The vibe is high at the critics choice. I'm actually really excited that we're going first this year because the earlier, the better this cuts into my ski season. Okay. So like I come home for four days, I get a spray tan. I get judged for four days. We work on the monologue with my writers and it's like a literal whirlwind. So, um, so I'm glad to get it out of the way earlier in the year. You know,
Starting point is 00:23:51 like, I mean, I think last year, last year was the fire. So it was delayed like twice, but, um, I'm very excited that it's at E you know, the E is where I was born. So I love to come back there and I'm sure they love to have me. They do. I think that like, there is, this is a thing. I know you left, but you never left our hearts. I never really left. I just was like, I have to go now. I'm waiting for Chelsea Lately to be back. Like I'm ready. You launched so many people's careers with that show. It's iconic. And I think like we are, we need dumb ass celebrity commentary. Like that's, you know, like I just need your opinions on everything.
Starting point is 00:24:30 That's exactly what we need. I know everything's so serious right now. It's like, you know, that's exactly what we need. It's more dumbness. But the problem is, is all that dumbness got us where to where we are now. You know, I feel like, so there's sometimes there's too much dumb, you know, like say everybody needs to read a book once in a while. Also can't just sit around and like pay attention to gossip and like, you know, all of that stuff. Cause it kind of makes you really stupid. Yeah. We need a mix. We need an intellectual dumbass and that is Chelsea. And so in honor of our favorite intellectual dumbass, we are changing the critic's choice into Chelsea's choice. Okay. Cause she's the only critic that matters. She's handing out
Starting point is 00:25:10 her own trophies today on lady gang, um, based on zero science, zero voting bodies. This is just what Chelsea thinks. I'm a doctor. So there's a little science. You are a pharmacologist, farm to table gynecologist. Oh, girls. Okay. Write that down, please. And let's remember that for my next intro the next time I'm back here. Okay, incredible. Wow. Chelsea, well, this is perfect for you, Jack, because you're doing like the butt. She's doing pelvic floor therapy where someone sticks her finger up her butt and then has her like squeeze and stuff.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Oh, I love all that stuff. I do tons of pelvic floor stuff for skiing. But I don't have anyone boofing me. Are you getting boofed? What is boofing? Boofing is when somebody sticks something up your asshole. Oh, yeah. Well, mine has to do with me.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Like, I can't poop by myself. So they're putting their finger in there and whittling it around and seeing what's going on. Oh, dear. They're working on her mechanism. And having eye contact, which is extreme eye contact. Yeah, that is extreme. It's hard to do also. Okay, so Chelsea is going to name her winner, and we will discuss the categories.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Okay, so pop culture moment of the year. What was your number one thing you cared about this year in pop culture, Chelsea Handler? Oh God, really? I guess I became a Swifty. Like I became like, I became like low-key obsessed with Taylor Swift's new album and also her tour and also like just the lore. Like I was like, I found myself, there were a couple months that went by where I was spending a lot of time.
Starting point is 00:26:54 It was like, I just discovered Taylor Swift. but did you, I hadn't been into it. And then all of a sudden with the heiress tour and I was just so blown away. And then I just started listening to her music and then I, yeah, I really got carried away. Did you cry like most grown women in our country when she got engaged? No, no, no. I don't cry about engagements. I feel, you know, I don't feel the same way about engagements that other women do anyway. I don't think that's a victory. I think it's like, no, no, no. Let's just stay engaged for as long as possible. Then it's a constant celebration. You have an engagement party every year and then you are constantly auditioning for the other
Starting point is 00:27:38 person. I like that set up more. Yeah. So true. Okay. But I knew she would get engaged, of course. Yeah. I mean, it's going to be great. We've discussed this. We're nervous about the dress. you know what i mean like taylor yeah she's she is so beautiful and sometimes like i just want her to get one face framing highlight before the wedding that's all i ask everything else is perfect i just want one highlight that's all just a tiny face frame okay um but i love you taylor and forever but like just kelty's so nervous that tree pain is gonna hear her saying one negative thing and i'll get kicked off the taylor swift pr list because Chelsea, I have only one thing above you in celebrity world, which is I'm on the Taylor
Starting point is 00:28:23 Swift PR list. So every time Taylor launches something, I get a cardigan in the mail and a handwritten note. I mean, it's not handwritten. It's written in her hand and then laser printed on something else. But anyway- I'm sure Chelsea could procure this. I can't believe that she handwrites stuff. That's another thing. She handwrites everything to everybody and has time to write notes. I stopped writing notes like 10 years ago. I'm not writing any notes. I don't know how to write anymore. I don't know how to write anymore either. Somebody told me I had to, for my like gratitude journal to write in it. And I'm like, I don't think I can write anymore. I type it into my notes section. Yeah. A hundred percent.
Starting point is 00:29:02 You're listening to the Lady Gang. Okay. Chelsea, who was your celebrity of the year? Is it Taylor swift the one person who dominated your fantasies group texts conversations well not fantasies that wouldn't be taylor swift i'm just so proud of her as a woman um fantasies who dominate i mean let's see last year i would have said like pedro pascal but he's no i'm not feeling it this year for him he hasn't been in my face enough you know who's been sexy this year um like are you a jeremy Alan White? Are you an old George Clooney? Are you a John Cena? Are you a Glenn Powell? Are you Jeff Bezos? Oh God. I know this is the problem. I'm literally like, even we had the hard to pick out a man that you're attracted to. There are no celebrities aren't hot. They're kind of like ugly.
Starting point is 00:30:06 there's like it's not a hot yeah like all those guys you mentioned are all great and they're but like no I'm not interested in that but I don't think I don't know you know I'm gonna go with the 50 cent like that's what I was gonna say you know what he put I want to be loyal to him as an ex-lover yes he put out that Diddy documentary he's been clowning Diddy this whole time I knew never to go. I think I went to one party at Diddy's maybe like 20 years ago, but I knew right away, I was like, this guy is so gross, you know, and Diddy and, uh, Fitty, Fitty, listen to me, Fitty, he also knew that, not that we ever discussed it, but I love what he's been doing. And I love that he paid for those women's lawyers, you know, uh, for their defense attorneys or not
Starting point is 00:30:56 actual defense attorneys, but you know what I mean? He paid for their legal team. Uh, so like yeah i'm gonna go with 50 cent just because he deserves an award every year i love that so much i uh randomly saw a clip of you talking about some story with him about like how you can't couldn't go like for a walk outside or something and i thought it was so funny yeah yeah i saw that clip yeah he it was funny it was it's so funny how yeah he's i just love to talk about him because he's such a sweetheart and it's you know what it's nice to have ex boyfriends that you're not repulsed by. I don't know what that feels like. We don't really know what that's like, but it's very hard as a woman not to be like enough time can go by. And then
Starting point is 00:31:39 you can be like, Oh, I feel sorry for you now, but that's still a level of kind of pity. Yeah. Definite ick. Like there is no one that I've dated that I could ever be intimate with again. Not one of my boyfriends in all of, in all of my history that I could have sex with again, Not even probably 50 Cent. That's unfortunate. You know, it's just like I don't want to see something the same time. Like, I already saw that movie. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:32:06 Fresh. It's gross. I need a fresh movie. Keep it fresh. Okay, number three. What is your Chelsea's Choice sex position of the year? A move that defined her 2025. Bonus points for Lady Gang listeners if it involves laziness, edibles, or efficiency.
Starting point is 00:32:25 i mean i do like to you know i just like to mix it up so i'm just gonna say i do like when a man has his hands all around you when you're you know what i mean on your face on your neck they're like holding your chest your back all that stuff so it doesn't really matter what position as long like being on top or being on bottom obviously listen no one whoever who what who are these women that want to be on top all the time. Like I'm looking to get penetrated. You penetrate me and I'm here and that's the present. Please don't ask me to like get on top. I mean, I will of my own volition, but I don't like to be told what to do. I also feel like I'm in a soul cycle class when I'm on top. It doesn't feel sexy to me. It's hard. It's too laborious. I don't like it. Yeah. You kind of
Starting point is 00:33:12 need some like, I think it can be sexy. It just depends what time, you know, like what time of day, what the mood is. It can be sexy, but it's not my go-to. Like I'm dying to get on top of this guy. No, that's not what, and I'm, that's not what I'm thinking. And I would love to meet the women that are. Agreed. They obviously have like great natural turnout. My problem with being on top is that my turnout has never been good. And ever since my rock at life where I, I pulled that labral tear, which is like right in your hip. I don't like, it's like so uncomfortable to be in that splay and then you know i can't there's sometimes when i'm on top and i think oh my god i gotta be like meg the stallion in the music video right like and you're like you like you
Starting point is 00:33:53 gotta be doing the roles that's the first mistake that's the first mistake you're like when you get on top people think they have to like perform and like they're sitting upright and showing off their like breasts like no you need to get on top but like in a frogger position and just like be on them so that you can be kissing. But then my boobs are udders. My udders. Yeah, my little tiny tit, Chelsea. But then you're rubbing on each other. You're rubbing him. He's rubbing you. And you're not dangling your tits. You are rubbing each other. But that involves that frogger-like position, which it's a pretty tricky position to be in, okay? Especially for men. When men are going down on you and they get into that frogger position and you see it,
Starting point is 00:34:36 you're like, uh, it's over. I can't come if you're, if you're in that position, please stand up or lie down. It's actually so true. And there's actually a pillow for that. It's such an ick. I don't ever want to see a man's butthole. Not ever. Not, not ever. No, I, yeah, no. Okay. Chelsea, for Chelsea's choice, what was your social media follow of the year? An account that made you rage, feel superior, laugh. What was your palate cleanse? Like who do you love to follow? Oh God, these questions, you guys. Who do I love to follow? I'm trying to look at my Instagram to come up with a good, who do I love to follow? There's this woman. Oh, I know who I love to follow, but I can't remember her name. What's it called? It's a woman who just got divorced and
Starting point is 00:35:29 her husband like cheated and left her and she has like a revenge page. I mentioned it on the Today Show. What makes it so wonderful is that she's just eventful. She's just like living her best life. Like I just think women forget sometimes how powerful it is to be single and alone and that it's not like a failure or a mistake. And so like her husband broke her heart. He broke up with her. I just actually read a book about a husband breaking up with this woman. It's called, uh, uh, awake by Jen hat maker and her life. She had five kids with this guy. They were pretty religious. He just, she woke up one in the middle of the night and heard him on the phone with his girlfriend, 27 years together, like crazy. And she ended up like it, it being the
Starting point is 00:36:10 best thing in her life. And again, with this woman on Instagram, it's like, it just shows you that like, you can take the biggest heartbreaks and turn them into the biggest celebrations. And like your life is never over. As long as you're here, you have a say to go and have a good time. And so she's like, you know, kind of giving women inspo so that other people who get divorced, it's like, it's okay. Yeah, it sucks, but you're going to survive it. Like we're surviving like life right now, you know, like we're all going to be fine eventually.
Starting point is 00:36:41 So like, just take the good with the bad. I just like the messaging. Okay. Chelsea, Chelsea's choice. What is the product you can't shut up about? Like the thing you discovered, the Chelsea stamp of approval. Is it skincare? Is it a candle?
Starting point is 00:36:54 Well, there's two things. Goldbond, who I have a partnership with, but like I am, I, so they pay me. So I just want to put that out there. I love Goldbond. My sisters, my cousins, everyone uses my skin cream from all of the years because I live in LA and I know what I'm doing and they don't. But Goldbond for body, like I'm up in Whistler. It is as dry, dry as a mother.
Starting point is 00:37:16 It's so dry that I, but I put on Goldbond before I go to bed and I wake up and my legs are smooth. So I just want to say that. but my other favorite product it's called gold bond uh it's gold bond crepe it says creping in the title it's like this creping cream so it's like for dry skin like my skin gets you um but my other thing that then these people i don't have a partnership with this is just the skincare brand that i've been using for the last 30 years it's called liz earl and it's like this oil this kind of like e like rosemary oil and um vitamin e oil and then they have a like um a moisturizer so over
Starting point is 00:37:56 the years i've been sent anything you can imagine you know how much free stuff people get right like i get so much skincare sent to me and i have never ever changed products whoa liz earl okay ordering gold bond is earl yeah we're like and the crepe corrector crepe corrector hell yeah Smart. Okay. Chelsea's choice, talent crush of the year. Like could be for fun, could be for revenge. Like who were you like excited that came out? It doesn't have to be an actor. It could be a different comedian you saw or an author you loved or um a designer or i guess olivia dean good one she's pretty awesome so good yep she's so cute i love her vibe yeah we really need that we need that kind of vibe right now you're right it's like
Starting point is 00:38:58 vintage feeling yeah it is vintage and she's cute because like she dances you know when she's on camera like she she can totally move and then she can also not dance and dance and you're like wow that's fascinating because she's so tiny you're like are her legs gonna be okay um she's but she's just got the right attitude that whole vibe is exactly what it needs to be what we all need more of and i think that's a perfect person for the talent crush because it's like a true talent like yeah we're talking we've been talking like this year like people want things that are really easy because it's just been such a shit show so it's like we're just watching the shittiest TV and we're like, you know, making like the pop stars, like, you know, that got nominated for
Starting point is 00:39:41 Grammys. You're like, wow, this is like, is this great? You know? And then Olivia Dean came out and you're like, God, you were like, you're just, you were born to be a star. You're like a once in a generation girly that we can just love. And like the right dress at the right time with the right song and the right voice. And like, every time she goes out, she's crushing it. It's just so exciting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's happy making. Okay. Um, Ooh, this is a good one. Chelsea's choice. What was Chelsea's own power move of the year? A wellness thing, your comedy special. What is something you did that you can tell the girls that you were like, I'm very proud of myself because I did the Chelsea Handler power move and this is what it was? I mean, I don't think any of
Starting point is 00:40:23 my big moves are power moves. They're moves that I would revert back to the night that I blew off my press and because I wanted to have sex with a man in New York City because we had a really sexy dinner and a sexy night out. And we had fun and we took some MDMA. And I think that's a power move. It's sticking to me having a good time and a night before I have to work and deciding I'm not going to do any work tomorrow. If I had been 30 years old, I would have really been shameful and I would have pretended and I would have lied about it. If I had been 40, I wouldn't have lied, but I wouldn't have been forthcoming. Now that I'm 50, it's all of the above. And I think that's the power move because I don't think any of my business dealings and all of whatever I... Yeah,
Starting point is 00:41:11 that's all great and stuff, but I've been doing that for so many years. Really actually looking out for my own best interests is a power move. Oh, I love that. Damn. Take that energy into 2026, girly pops. I know. I'm taking it. We're all taking it, girls. I have a question for you about like social things. So I always want to be really brutally honest when I am invited to something that I really don't want to go to or if I've said I was going to go and I just decide not to. I always do like the white lie thing. But really what I want to say is like, like I've started saying, no, thank you. When people ask for my address for Christmas cards, like what is that version of like, no, thank you. And I'm not going to lie. I'm just going to be honest that this is not something that interests me, but that's like people walk away from that being like, she's such a dick. Yeah. I would be so offended if you told
Starting point is 00:41:58 me the truth. I mean, someone just asked me for something yesterday just to record this video for somebody. And I said, I'm really sorry, but I'm not speaking publicly right now, or I'm really sick of hearing the sound of my voice. So I'm taking a few weeks off of talking. And that's not offensive to them. That's just protective of myself. So I would think, I would say to frame it as a, you know what, I'm not actually, I'm not going to do Christmas cards this year. I'm not getting any Christmas cards this year. It was a big thing last year. You don't have to get into anything. Just, you know, just make it about you and like claim it so that nobody has anything to feel bad about. That's yeah. Yeah. I do sometimes do that. I'll be like, I am, I, you know, I always
Starting point is 00:42:44 want an invite, but I'm like tapped out right now. I can't make it, but please keep inviting me to things. One, one of these days it'll work. Yeah. I always say that. I say, please keep inviting me just because I like to be invited. My ego likes it. I just want to get the in right that I can turn down. Right. But it's also letting them know you're interested without having to commit to anything. So that's nice. Okay. Last thing, Chelsea's choice, unsolicited advice of the year. The message you want to tattoo on the girly pops of the lady gang to take in to 2026. No pressure grew of our lives. Just go for it. First of all, this is the only life we get. And if you believe in reincarnation and past lives, then don't you want to make sure you don't repeat
Starting point is 00:43:33 this life? We have to get better at being ourselves. That is the whole idea is to get better, to ascend. I think of everything as an ascension. I'm growing, I'm growing, I'm growing. Even getting older, you're ascending. You're ascending to the best version of yourself. And so you're never done ascending as long as you're still here. Once you die, then the ascension is over. So I just think of ascending. I don't want to repeat the same lesson twice. I'm not dating the same asshole twice. I'm not learning the same lesson twice. I'm doing everything once. And then I'm going to do it again in a different way with what I learned the first time. So my advice is really get after it. And if you're thinking about changing anything in your life,
Starting point is 00:44:16 change it. Ascend. That's going to be my word of 2026. I love that word. Ascend. So good. Chelsea, you're so inspiring.
