Thank you so much for subscribing on iTunes, and thanks for supporting the great sponsors who make it possible for us to have this much fun with you every single week for free. Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the Lady Gang. I am Becca Tobin, Jack Mannix to my right, Kelty Knights across from me, and we're really excited to be here today. We're going to do our Lady Gang question of the week is, what would your stripper name be that is your first pet and the first street you ever lived on? Cuddles Georgian. Georgian?
Starting point is 00:00:47 Yeah. Cuddles is great. You know when you're a kid and you get your first pet and your parents are like, what do you want to name it? And you're like, Sleepy Weepy Woopy. And they're like, oh, God. And then you're stuck with this pet for the next, like, 10 years. Name's Sweepy Weepy Weepy.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Yeah. What's yours? Pugsley Almendra. Oh, my God. That's kind of hot. She wears, like, red satin. Almendra? Almendra.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Oh, okay. Mine's Bonnie Westbrook. Ooh. Oh, she's, like, a detective. That's really preppy. Yeah. She's, like, a secret agent stripper. Do you think she wears, like, a trench coat?
Starting point is 00:01:20 Yeah. Definitely a trench coat and then, like, a man's button-up, but no panties. Yeah. Perfect. and now it's time for good week yes it is bad week
Starting point is 00:01:29 oh no starting me oh get it girl I want to talk about my bad week I went to a party
Starting point is 00:01:36 for a very very very well known brand where we all shop and they had a big party and it was full of influencers but like no one really that famous
Starting point is 00:01:45 we're at the revolve party I knew it too I don't want to say it out loud in case they want to sponsor whatever you guys when I got asked to go I was like
Starting point is 00:01:53 my first inclination was like don't go because this is going to be a snobby party and you're going to end up feeling like shit what happens i stay up till 10 o'clock to go to this stupid party i get all dressed up in my revolve dress and i go these women running the red carpet looked at me like i was asking them like they weren't letting people on the red carpet yet and my person that was with me my publicist was like oh can we just take our picture like she's got to be up at four in the morning like can we you know and they're like i'm sorry you have to go to the end of this line the line was around the block like it was on vine it's all like bloggers and influencers so anybody can stand there and take their photo they're taking their moment no they're taking
Starting point is 00:02:34 everyone was taking their moment and he was like um this is kelty from and like i didn't i want a name drop but it was like this kelty from entertainment tonight we're like covering this event right they still wouldn't let me on the carpet so i let him like i held back and i was like okay I'm just gonna let let my publicist do the work and then at some point he came to me he's like I don't know I was like it's cool I'm out like I'm gonna leave I'm I really don't care I can get my picture taken any day of my life like I'm fine but then I was like so pissed about it that I went up to the girls and like kind of went around him and I was like hi yeah from entertainment tonight and we're covering this event like is it cool like I just need to go
Starting point is 00:03:10 right there so then they were like oh yeah fine once they saw me fine so that I go in and there's one photographer and i'm standing there and he like won't pick up his camera to take my picture and i was like god like like as if like i'm not famous enough i'm like meanwhile thank god i didn't go with you meanwhile sweaters and sweatpants.com is like all over it or whatever the frickin name is a whole nother world it's so i'm not famous enough and then i looked at him i was like oh are you shooting for getty like that's the photographer face and he's like oh i'm shooting i'm the house photographer and i was like cool and he still won't pick up the camera i was like it's cool and i like walk out and i take the red carpet rope like right in front of
Starting point is 00:03:48 him and i'm gonna leave he's like oh no no no like i changed my mind i do want your picture and i was like you're a dick so anyway i got my picture taken i looked fierce i wore the lady gang box necklace and i did look fierce but f you that's all i'm gonna say okay all right good week then here's what happened then i had to go to orlando for work and um i go to orlando and i'm checking in my hotel and this woman comes up to me she's like oh my god are you kelty i'm in the lady gang miriam what's up so after my horrifically embarrassing revolve party i go into disney and miriam's like oh no i'm such a big fan i'm so excited i saw you were coming and like i'm just so excited and i was like oh i gotta go to the shoot can i just like have a room to change in
Starting point is 00:04:32 or the bathroom whatever and she's like yeah i'll just take you to a room you can change but your room's not ready yet so we go in this beautiful room and i'm changing i'm like miriam i can just stay in this room she's like no no no i got you the presidential suite so i'm in the disney world hotel and i come back from my shoot and she takes me personally up to my room it's bigger than my house no it has like five rooms i'm so angry i was just in disney world i have four it has four like bathrooms three kitchens there's like chocolate covered strawberries a fully stocked fridge my god i can sit in my bed with the windows open and see the fireworks over the magic castle it was so amazing
Starting point is 00:05:08 and Miriam was so cute and she said such nice things about us and then I posted a picture for her in the Lady in Face group and she was like this was the best day
Starting point is 00:05:14 of my life so Miriam you're my good week and then she said as she was walking out I was like thanks Miriam she's walking out
Starting point is 00:05:19 she goes this better be your good week so Miriam I love her the people that work for Disney are the nicest
Starting point is 00:05:26 humans ever and she looked like Jennifer Lopez she's so beautiful and I was like you're way too cool to listen to Lady way too cool
Starting point is 00:05:35 she's way too cool sorry that was a little long-winded that's all right okay i'll make mine i'll make mine snappy i'll make mine snappy as well my bad week i really thought i was done with the poo stories i have a poo story too oh my god amazing so my bad week is i drive to san diego regularly to get my hair done because i only let sherry touch my hair she's the only human i will let do my color my anything so she She opened up a salon in La Jolla, San Diego. Belle Seren, shout out.
Starting point is 00:06:04 It's beautiful. I go. I love going. It's a nice little escape from L.A. I drive in really early in the morning. My appointment starts at 8, so I got in the car really, really early, drank my coffee in the car. Coffee means poo-poo, so usually I'll just, like, get my coffee. And then the salon's closed on Mondays, which is the day I went in, so I can usually, like, have a moment in the bathroom before starting the, you know, the hair.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Well, I go in and Sherry, sweet little Sherry, is like, the plumber's coming at 9.30. So the bathroom's not working until then. Oh, no. But next door, there's a Jimmy John's. And they're going to let you use the bathroom. Jimmy John's just saving lives. You pooped at the Jimmy John's. At 8 a.m.
Starting point is 00:06:50 How was it even open? They were opening. They were setting up shop, which is even worse. Because they knew it was you. Because I walk in the door, and I was like, hi, I'm from next door. The plumber's coming. The toilet's not working. Is it cool if I just use your restroom really quickly?
Starting point is 00:07:08 And he looks at me, and I look like a crackhead at this point. And he's like, um, sure. Like, very confused. Oh. And they're like, can I take a giant shit in your bathroom? I think he thought I might have been homeless or a drug addict. Yeah. So then I feel like I'm under extra scrutiny.
Starting point is 00:07:24 so i need to like do this deed quickly um it's hard to poop on command have you been to a jimmy john's bathroom it's disgusting oh yeah it was tricky and it wasn't the quick it wasn't the quick kind you know what i mean sometimes you're in and out and sometimes you have to kind of sit there i had to kind of sit there and when i walked out when i tell you that i felt like the scum of the earth and the most judged human on the planet yeah it was horrifying so i had to poop in a jimmy johns on monday morning at 8 a.m you're welcome that's a low low point high point is the whole 30 really transformed my skin already has it despite the slight staph infection debacle that i ran into um once that's done it's now like really different what do you think you're allergic
Starting point is 00:08:13 to i don't know if it's necessarily like an allergy as much as it is just junk yeah all the preservatives and all this shit i feel like my skin just looks and the texture of it is so much better right you are you look so i'm you look so beautiful when you're pooping the jimmy johns glowing glow and jimmy johns okay so my good week is i have a new podcast and becca's listened to it and it's called dirty john have you heard about it yes you told me and i listened the whole thing it's so good yeah so if everybody i feel like everybody's listened to it but if somebody has not listened to it it's about a psychopath guy from san jose con artist which is very much like somebody i used to know basically i wanted it to be him it really was really eerily similar
Starting point is 00:09:03 oh one day we'll do a dirty blank your version dirty voldemort what can we call him voldemort dirty you must not be named i don't know it's so lame it's overdone okay well let's think of something dirty ogre the dirty ginger he's not okay anyways he's a ginger he's not he's not a okay i'm okay i'm saying this conversation but the thing that i love about it is it's all based in orange county so like every everything that they do they're like yeah and then he was like practicing his like fake medical stuff at mission viejo hospital i'm like i was born there and then And then they got an apartment by the Irvine Spectrum. And I'm like, I just had lunch there.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Like, it's very exciting because it's like all the things that I know. But it's a great podcast. And it's only like six episodes. Six episodes, yeah. So good. So good. Okay. My bad week is a bad week by proxy.
Starting point is 00:09:55 It was like kind of my bad week, but more so somebody else's bad week. And it was really bad. So I was at a music festival recently. And I was waiting in line at the bar to get a drink. The line was like super, super long. We weren't going anywhere. it just sucked and then out of this like big clusterfuck of people this girl just comes like running out from the front of the bar and like it looks like she was like being chased she was
Starting point is 00:10:19 like so frantically running and then like 30 seconds later after she runs just this waft of the worst smell i've ever heard in my life seen my life she literally no shit her pants at the front of the bar there was shit on the ground like it hit the ground and so many people didn't know where it was coming from that people were stepping in it i've never seen a shit hit the ground from somebody was it like a log or was it like a loose it was a loose like she probably had some sort of like a food poisoning that's what you call being shit faced didn't yeah it was gross but i feel so bad for her sorry whoever you are sorry girl i hope you're I'm not a Lady Gang fan.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Or maybe this will make you feel better. Who knows? They're just like us. What's coming up, Kelty? I'm very excited because you guys know I love Dancing with the Stars so much. And my favorite fiery redhead from Dancing with the Stars is here. Here. Now back to the Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Our guest today is an Australian ballroom dancer who's best known for being a professional partner and troupe member on the ABC hit series Dancing with the Stars. She is a two-time runner-up on the show. And at age 15, she was chosen to represent Australia at the World Champions in both the Standard and Latin styles. And she actually performed at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games closing ceremonies. What are you doing with your life? She's figured out all the secrets of how to keep red hair perfectly fiery and not that ugly washed out orange color that everyone else has. She's hot as f***. I already broke the rule.
Starting point is 00:11:53 And the only thing that isn't hot is that she is not wearing a costume right now with rhinestones on it because that's how I normally see her. And I'm a little disappointed she's regular. please welcome to the podcast sharna burgess i don't entirely know how to like follow that that was amazing that's like you're so hot right there i'm so you don't even have like a glittery earring no you're so boring i wear so many sparkles for work that i tend to stay away from them in everyday life i love how you say you're boring but you're still like so damn stunning i know isn't she's like her face is stupid yeah stupid i am about as red as my hair right now Oh, I love that.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Thank you, guys. I love that. First of all, let's talk about the Olympics. I did not know this about you. What's that all like? And how do they get, how's the rehearsal process? Because I always love watching the opening, closing ceremony. Do you guys watch it?
Starting point is 00:12:43 And it's such a big undertaking. There's no way they rehearse everyone at the same time, right? Well, actually, we were on a massive football field with hundreds of dancers because the actual scene that I was in, there was a stage in the middle that I was a part of. and then there were hundreds of dancers doing this choreography on the track around the stadium. And they did rehearse us all at the same time. They had the music going over the speakers.
Starting point is 00:13:09 I believe the woman that was running it, her name was Adele. She was on a microphone counting everybody through it. There were leaders for each group going through the track trying to make sure everyone knew their moves. And we all had to move at the same distance in the same time so we could get around from point A to point B and be in the right marks. But it was fascinating how they put it together.
Starting point is 00:13:28 I was 15 at the time and so for me it was quite a surreal experience I think I didn't really take in the magnitude of it until afterwards I think it was hard to take in the magnitude of it being 15 but I do remember going out there for the performance and seeing a hundred thousand people sitting around in this stadium and then every single one of them flashing a camera wow and it was like just lights and twinkling like another star in the middle of the stadium and i almost stopped in my tracks while i was dancing looking at it was fascinating oh i love that dreams coming true speaking of people taking cameras i was actually upset um because i love to call the paparazzi on myself and i was at the dancing with the stars rehearsal studio they built a brand new
Starting point is 00:14:13 rehearsal studio in hollywood it's very beautiful and i was interviewing max or val or one of them and they came out and then max was like hey see you later and he gave me a kiss on the cheek and I saw the paparazzi take a picture of it, and I was like, oh, I can't wait to be Us Weekly, like, is Max cheating on PETA with Kelty Knight of Entertainment Tonight? And then it never came out, and honestly, I'm disappointed. So do you ever call the paparazzi on yourself? You don't have to because they sit outside the studio.
Starting point is 00:14:35 God, no, I haven't. I actually hear of people that do call the paparazzi on themselves. Of course they do. Oh, my God, yeah. And I don't know how I feel about that, to be honest. Because it's lame. It's okay. You can say it.
Starting point is 00:14:48 It's pathetic. You can say it for me. Yeah. But no, I've never done that. Although with Dancing with the Stars, we do always have the same group of guys. They're out there by the studio. They know where we are. They were terribly upset when we didn't have the Dancing with the Stars studio and we were all over L.A.
Starting point is 00:15:03 Yeah. And they couldn't find us. So now they don't miss a beat. They don't miss a day. They are there when I have no makeup on and awful clothes. And I'm stressed about my cha-cha and they snap me walking into rehearsal. But do you get ready? Are you like, I need a cute rehearsal outfit?
Starting point is 00:15:18 Oh, it depends on the day. Or do you get over it? Some days. It depends on what we're shooting in rehearsals. If I know we're doing what we call a heart-to-heart, where we sit down with, I affectionately call them the pretty cameras. We get three or four cameras around us, nice lighting, and we have the in-depth chats. If I know we're doing that, I'll wear something cuter for rehearsal. I'll, you know, do my eyebrows and put some mascara on.
Starting point is 00:15:37 If I am just solely stressed about getting my moves right and my partner, then I just, I don't have time for that. I just put on a hat and keep my head down and walk in. I learned some things about you and Us Weekly. Oh, my. I want to talk to you about them because Us Weekly did not go in to great detail with these facts. It was just fun facts about you and now I want to hear the story. So you said to Us Weekly that your most embarrassing moment or whatever was singing I'll Make
Starting point is 00:16:03 Love to You to your dad. Oh my God. Yes. Oh my God. Oh God. I don't even remember writing these, but yes, that is a real thing that happened. Okay. So as a kid, I was a performer.
Starting point is 00:16:12 I was always a performer. I'm grabbing my hairbrush. I'm singing for my parents. and at that time Mariah Carey and Boys to Men I'll Make Love to You was a really, really popular song How old are you?
Starting point is 00:16:25 I was about six Six, maybe seven I learned all the words not knowing what any of those words mean and I sat my mum and dad down to sing them this brand new song that I learned You sat them down like I'm going to make a performance for you now?
Starting point is 00:16:41 Yes, I grabbed my hairbrush they were sitting on my couch their couch I should say and I started singing this song no track behind by the way just straight acapella like an American Idol audition a real embarrassing
Starting point is 00:16:56 Australian Idol audition and the words are throw your clothes on the floor I'll take my clothes off too tonight is for me and you I'll make love to you like you want me to I will never forget my dad's face he was just so torn
Starting point is 00:17:11 on whether he stops it and walks out of the room because he's uncomfortable or to just support his daughter and be proud and be like, oh, Precious, that was just so good. So what did he do? He toughed it out, actually. Did anybody say anything to you after? Like, maybe don't sing that song to your parents?
Starting point is 00:17:28 I remember my mum laughing and trying to hold it back at the end of it. And then she just told me that she was just so proud of me. It was so good. She never expected me to sing that song so well. It felt like you really knew. And not miss a lyric. You will not miss a beat on that song, especially all the raunchy parts, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:17:46 That's amazing. It's pretty great, right? Special, I was special. I also learned something about your first kiss. Oh. Get ready, because you're next. Oh, no. Your first kiss.
Starting point is 00:17:54 My first kiss was the messiest thing I've ever experienced. Thank God it got better. Tell me about your first kiss. It was, I was in a movie theater. How old were you? God, 13, maybe. Oh, wow. Was that young?
Starting point is 00:18:08 I don't know. I don't know. That's a pretty standard age. That's a standard kissing age. everyone's like hormones are going um yeah hormone we were we were watching a movie it was just him and i his name was casey and uh we were kissing with absolutely no idea how to kiss and it was just saliva all over my face oh my god it was the foulest thing i remember finishing and just being like i don't think i like this i don't think i ever want to do this again this is awful
Starting point is 00:18:35 but yes thank god it got better much less messy now yeah becca where's your first kiss his name was blake douglas oh blake douglas is like probably a lawyer now i don't i don't like he would be a lawyer yeah he sounds successful i don't know what he's doing but randomly on instagram last year he he sent me a message and was like i don't know why but you're like one of the only birthdays i remember and how like happy birthday on my birthday because you know when you learn those birthdays at a young age they stay because there's room for information at that time but it was the nicest thing in the world and he was the person that like we really thought we were going to end up together forever oh really how old what tell me about the glyph though like 12 13 years
Starting point is 00:19:14 old it was an intense love where was the kiss was also very intense and the tongue like his tongue just kept like the jamming and i was like i might show something i don't know what you're searching for but it's not in there it's a lot like it caused me to dry heave it was terrible that's bad sorry blake ever have a good first kiss i don't think so like who gets it right on the first time. Jack just made an inappropriate joke. My first kiss was when I was 16. I was on this trip called SWAT. It was like a
Starting point is 00:19:44 ski trip for like high school. Basically high school students just go to get like messed up and drunk and whatever. And it was with a bartender from Salt Lake City that was staying across the hall from me with his girlfriend. And he came and like they were having a fight.
Starting point is 00:20:01 He hid in my hotel room and we like were sitting in a little hallway and he kissed me. And he would have been what? 21, if he's a bartender. He was at least 21. And then when he goes to leave. You were 16? 16.
Starting point is 00:20:11 And when he goes to leave, he wrote his number on the mirror in lipstick. It's kind of sexual. And also like Lizzie. Did he? Like illegal. Also very illegal. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:21 I mean. It was just a kiss. And it was a good kiss. Because he had experience. Yeah. You had someone with experience. That was almost where my inappropriate joke was going. What?
Starting point is 00:20:30 Like who had a good first kiss. No, actually, I think it was a decent first kiss. It didn't. I don't remember it being overly sloppy and like spitty. Yeah, because he'd been already kissing for, like, a decade. For, like, ten years. Gross. He was experienced.
Starting point is 00:20:42 He knew what was going down. Let's talk about wardrobe malfunctions at the pool. Let's talk about wardrobe malfunctions in general. They happen to me all the time. Your whole life must be one big... Oh, I'm sure. Do you remember the nipple gate or whatever it was? From Janet?
Starting point is 00:20:56 With Antonio Brown. Do you not remember that? I don't remember. I guess half my tango with, I believe it was my left nipple, out of my dress. Oh, no. Did they air it? No, by the time I got to the West Coast feed, they'd blurred it. But for the East Coast, so it was like a sweetheart neckline, but then it had black mesh.
Starting point is 00:21:14 So it's not like it was fully naked or fully bare, but it was definitely bare. But that's like the most unflattering thing for your nipple. It's like when you push your face against a window. It was like squashed up in your nipple. It was awful. It's not cute. It wasn't a good day. Tom Bergeron, I was standing there with the judges like an idiot with my nipple out.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Had no idea. idea. Standing there with Antonio getting her critique and Tom Bergeron keeps looking at me. I'm like, that's weird. He never looks down there. Tom would never do that. And he all of a sudden steps in front of me, in front of the camera and announces that he
Starting point is 00:21:46 just like, why don't you go and pull that up right there? And I was like, 16 something million people watching me. I just saw me get told to pull up my dress. And your dad was like, I'll make love to you. It's like full circle. Oh god, that's awful. He's like, I should have known.
Starting point is 00:22:02 The signs were there. Have you ever had a wardrobe malfunction? No, not that I can think of. Oh, yeah. My Broadway debut. I had a chicken cutlet, you know, the like really. Like a jelly one? Like a jelly one.
Starting point is 00:22:14 And it was in my like little like we had 80s stripper costumes and it was in there. And I was like dancing my heart out, my Broadway debut. And suddenly it just starts sliding up and up and up and up and up and up. And it's out. They didn't have it tacked in? It was in, like, the fold, but it wasn't tacked in. So it comes out, and then there's one little break in the, like, opening number where I get to go to, like, back to a bar, to the bartender,
Starting point is 00:22:41 and my friend Andre played, like, the bartender. And I just literally took it. He's a gay man. He's never seen a chicken cutlet in his life, any man, really. And I just take it, and I, like, slide it to him, and I'm like, can you take this? So, yeah, that's pretty malfunction. Okay. I did pants myself at the pool, though, for the one that you were referring to.
Starting point is 00:23:01 This is what I'm referring to. That was really exciting. Can you explain it to everyone who might not have seen it? Oh, absolutely not. Yeah, she called the paparazzi in her cell. Obviously. Totally, who wouldn't do that? It was so funny.
Starting point is 00:23:12 It's like all headlines about you. It's like, da-da-da-da-da. And then it's like, Shauna's wardrobe malfunction at the pool. Yeah. What'd you do? So we were on, we were in Tucson on, um. Adjusting. Adjusting.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Adjusting. We were in Tucson. on the tour and we had a couple days off we're out by this pool we're at this resort with like five different pools and um so the rest of the cast had actually left to go to the theater and lindsey arnold and i stayed a little bit longer we were going to eat by the pool we come back from putting our luggage on the bus we get to the pool i have on little denim shorts with my bikini and i was in such a rush to get into the pool that i pulled all of it down oh no now when i I didn't pull it partway down and realize it.
Starting point is 00:23:57 The whole thing. They were around my ankles until I stood up and looked at Lindsay, who had just, I couldn't even explain the expression that was on her face. Well, Lindsay's also like salt of the earth, of pureness, of pure. Yes. Like, she's probably never seen another vagina. Oh, no. No, she wouldn't have.
Starting point is 00:24:13 And she was just like, it was almost like she was choking on words and breathing and didn't know, just didn't know what to do until I looked down and was like, oh my God. It was over the space of probably three seconds, but that is a long time for your vagina to be out. Were a lot of people looking? Thank God there was only probably like 15 people at the pool. Well, it's unfortunate when you have a body like you do because inevitably there's going to be eyes on you kind of all the time that you're in the bathing suit. Most people, like myself, nobody's watching while I'm taking my cover up off.
Starting point is 00:24:41 They don't care what's underneath. It's also the flaming red hair that's just moving across the pool. You have like a star power. You have a je ne sais quoi. So people are like, what's going on with her in her short shorts? And then they're like, that's her vagina. She forgot her bathing suit. you today those dancers are real crazy okay um one last thing so nick carter oh my nicholas yes
Starting point is 00:25:04 was your partner we love we love the bachelor boys love love who doesn't no i don't we don't like them but like just talk to us about nick a little bit like he's so nice but he's had dark moments but then he caught back and now he's like married with babies and like were you like this is the Baxter boys it was a
Starting point is 00:25:28 really really surreal moment for me as a 13 year old Nick Carter not even all of the Baxter boys I mean you were only Nick was I would we were definitely
Starting point is 00:25:38 Brian I was also Brian thanks really come over to the Nick side maybe I will now you were Nick
Starting point is 00:25:46 but Brian had a hole in his heart I was they're all amazing and so lovely and it was incredible getting to know them all but when I walked up on our first meet to meet Nick and I'm at this sound stage and Nick
Starting point is 00:25:59 Carter's walking towards me and I was like no this is did you just find out that moment? do you know before? sometimes this one they didn't tell me because it's obvious I'm going to know who it is it would be embarrassing if they're like oh my so they tell you if it's like a D-lister
Starting point is 00:26:16 ah Or like a hockey player you might not know. Yeah, or like, yeah, not funny. Especially me being Australian, sometimes, like Tavis Smiley. I had no idea who Tavis Smiley was, so they gave me a little heads up. I don't even know who that is. My season three, my third season partner, I believe. Lovely guy.
Starting point is 00:26:32 But anyway, Nick Carter's walking towards me, and I'm thinking, this is impossible. No. No, it's not Nick Carter. It's someone behind him. We're at a soundstage. They must be doing things. He must just be walking past. Totally not.
Starting point is 00:26:43 And he just walks up and stops in front of me. and I was like, are you my partner in Dancing with the Stars? I fangirled. It's the only time I've ever fangirled in my life. I legitimately fangirled. I did tell him that he was every poster on my bedroom wall when I was 13 years old. Did he ever get a boner when you were doing the salsa or anything?
Starting point is 00:27:02 No, he didn't. Actually, our salsa was a trio. If he was ever going to get one, it would have been the trio with Peter and I, but he didn't. Do you have to teach him about dance belts and stuff? For people who don't know, a dance belt is like a bra for a guy's balls when they're dancing. Do they have to wear them?
Starting point is 00:27:16 It's for the whole package. Yeah, it's for your whole package. It's so that it stays out of the way. And also it shapes it, too. Yeah, it gives it a nice little... It's like a push-up bra. It's a bra. It's like a bra.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Do you have to teach them about it, or does their rep have to teach them about it before? You're like, Nick, let me tell you what's going to hold your package in place while we're dancing. To be honest, I don't think I know of any of my partners that have actually worn one. There have been times when the inseam
Starting point is 00:27:39 is a little too high and tight, and I'd be like, we're going to just lower that and let it out a little bit because we don't need to see all that on ABC. 8 o'clock at night? It's called a hippo hook. A hippo hook or a moose knuckle. A moose knuckle, yes.
Starting point is 00:27:53 No one needs to see that. It's a family show. I've had one partner joke about getting a boner. Do you name names? It was in a package. They did it in the package. It was Antonio. I thought it was going to be Bonner. Why? Because it sounds like his name?
Starting point is 00:28:10 Yeah, also. Last thing. Thank you for enlightening us with Nick Carter. he's amazing he is he lives up to every expectation he's such an
Starting point is 00:28:18 incredible man and an amazing dad amazing husband but I hope AJ goes on soon I feel like AJ would be so good
Starting point is 00:28:25 on Dancing with the Stars I've been trying AJ and I need to dance together I feel like we might win I might win my first mirror ball how do they decide
Starting point is 00:28:33 who gets whom like you negotiate in your contract it's a really good question I want to know like did you think he requested you
Starting point is 00:28:41 was he like let's get that hot redhead yeah i know of people that have requested me i know antonio did i know that bonner did i know that charlie white did um there's been a bunch of partners that i know that have requested me i think nick did um and then we just get set up otherwise if there isn't so anyone that is left over that hasn't been requested they have a look at what the personalities are yeah um
Starting point is 00:29:08 you know obviously with bonner and i the show was hoping that we were going to have this romance Robert and Kim situation. They were all so very excited about us getting together and it just didn't turn out that way. So they try and go for storylines. They really played that up, though. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:29:26 I mean, Lord. Oh, my goodness. I was watching it. I was like, I don't know if she's that onto him, everyone. And they're like, I don't know. Okay, last thing.
Starting point is 00:29:34 On Dancing with the Stars in America, I don't know about our worldwide audience, they have themes every week. And one of them is called my most memorable year yes and since it's always your partner's most memorable year i wanted to ask you what your most memorable year is and then i'm gonna ask you guys too my most memorable year my gosh do you have one i've never even been asked that question i'm always trying to tell everyone else's story yes for sure there is um the year that i was on broadway the year that i
Starting point is 00:30:04 i moved to london on my own the year that i joined dancing with the stars you know it's There's been so many turning points in my life where something has changed and for the better. And dramatically, it's the universe always seems to push me into these situations and I just have to go with them. But there's many different years. I couldn't pick between three. 18, moving to London on my own. Is London like a hub? Because when Derek was here, he told us he moved to London too.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Is that like a ballroom dance hub? It used to be. It used to be. All the world's best coaches were in London. And so we would all travel over there for A, the competitions and B, the coaches. And when I was 18, I decided if I was going to be anyone in ballroom dancing, I needed to move over to London. So I packed my bags and saved up my money and went over. I love it.
Starting point is 00:30:51 My mom and dad were devastated. I'm an only child. I'll make love to you on the cube. Or whatever. Tube. Broadway 2009 for sure. The hardest. Did that shake the floor?
Starting point is 00:31:04 What's it called? Hit the floor? Burn the floor. I saw that. Oh, you did? Yes. I had blue and black hair at the time. It was amazing.
Starting point is 00:31:11 You leave being like, I only, like everybody I know who didn't dance, had never danced, they're like, I need to dance. Yeah. Like it was, and it's the best dancing that there's ever been on Broadway. Absolutely. Ever. I think the best touring dance show, obviously with the exception of Dancing with the Stars, but of touring dance companies, that was just phenomenal in the way it was put together.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Jason Gilkyson is a genius. I think I saw it on a DVD too. It was insane. There was the original that was an arena show, and that was even phenomenal, but it was too far ahead of its time. People weren't ready for it. Like Riverdance. People were ready for Riverdance.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Yeah. Remember when Riverdance was a thing? Where is Michael Fleming? My dad was obsessed with Riverdance. No, everyone was obsessed with Riverdance, except Becca Tobin. Becca, what's your most memorable year? um i would say it would either be like 2009 when i did when i got my like broadway debut because that was the only thing i'd ever wanted like my entire life big letdown um just kidding
Starting point is 00:32:13 what show was it rock of ages wait i saw it a bunch i must have met you i know i feel like you're familiar and not from yeah i think maybe because we came backstage because we all came as the cast to see your show. Yes, and we came to you guys. I was obsessed. I think I saw it three times. Yeah, it was good. I can't remember his name,
Starting point is 00:32:31 but the narrator guy that reminded me of Jack Black. Mitch Jarvis. Mitch Jarvis. Yeah. Hilarious. Hilarious. And there was a bar
Starting point is 00:32:38 that we'd all go to and drink afterwards. Yeah, Glass House Tavern. Yes, there it is! We must know each other. We've been drunk together before. Yes, I think we have. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Thank you. So 2009 was memorable. I think I'm going to make that the most memorable. It's a good one. It's a good year. Jack Benack. Well, I'm not in
Starting point is 00:32:52 entertainment world like all you talented people so uh didn't have my broadway debut um but i think it was probably when i was in high school and i went to my first concert because it like set me up for like the rest of my life and it was like the first time that i felt like i was like with my people and that like i knew what i wanted to do because before that i was just being a cheerleader and being an idiot in high school what did you want to do have sex with musicians i wanted to be a groupie penny lane penny lane um no but it's like it really set up like for the rest of my professional life um finch and sugar colt emo dance how soon after that did you make your first company bracelet it was like four years later but it was like all based from like the first
Starting point is 00:33:35 bracelet i made was like based off of like my favorite song and it was all kind of like connected to that so i feel like that was like the beginning amazing kelty my most memorable year is every year that I spend with the lady gang just kidding oh shit just kidding
Starting point is 00:33:50 just kidding I don't really know and I know it's my question and I said to you guys we were going to do this I think my most memorable year is probably 2013
Starting point is 00:34:00 because that's when I grew out my hair to a mermaid length and I've been spending my entire life trying to grow out my hair I hate you alright
Starting point is 00:34:07 next one most memorable year no 2000 I graduated high school early I had enough credits, and I went on my first job in March of my senior year of high school, dancing on a cruise ship. And I was like, F y'all, I'm out of here.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Remember when you made me drink pee? I'm out. Bye. And I just left. You drank pee? And I felt so powerful. Wait, rewind. What?
Starting point is 00:34:29 Yeah, when I was in high school. You drank pee? Girls made you drink pee? No, the hockey boys made me drink pee at the subway. I've told this story before. What? No, you haven't. I haven't heard this story before.
Starting point is 00:34:38 We were all going to the movies, and before the movies... Have you heard this story before? No, but it's so sad. It's so sad. Yeah, I was a freaking loser, which, P.S. Look at me now. So I have to go to Paparazzi. I watch you on TV every night and think we made that girl drink piss.
Starting point is 00:34:55 I hope they do. Anyway, we were all going to the movies, and we were going to the subway before the movies. Like the Subway Sandwich Shop? Subway Sandwich Shop. It's a small town. And they went to go get the food and, like, bring it to us, and we were all sitting at the table. And, like, they brought me over the drink. Someone brought me over a drink and was like, hey, I got a drink for you because I didn't get one
Starting point is 00:35:16 because I only had $5 and I could only get a $5 footlong or whatever. And then I was like, oh, my God, thanks. And I grabbed it and I was so nervous because I was trying to impress all the boys. Were you the only girl? I don't know. I don't remember. My heart hurts. And then I took a big sip of the piss and I had gone to the bathroom and pissed in the cup.
Starting point is 00:35:32 What did you do? I just felt embarrassed and sad. I don't want to kill those people. That is so sad. What are their names? Guess what Kelty and I did? This is not okay. I went home and I made a list of all the things I was going to accomplish in my life.
Starting point is 00:35:45 And you know, it's true. I'm a very big list maker. And I was like, I'm out of here. I moved to New York. These people are going to regret this. I'm going to be the biggest star in the world. Look at you now. And then like seven years later, I was on the cover of the Edmonton Journal.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Girl shines bright in New York. Oh, girl. Yeah. That's so shitty. But that says a lot about. You peed in someone's purse. Yeah. She had it coming.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I just, wait, rewind. I need to know. This is a urine. i mean tell me everything this girl she ratted me out she got me kicked out of my like magnet program i went to a like a charter school for performing arts so we had really strict rules and if you break them you're out of the program and you're sent back to your like school where you would be bullied because you were like a weird theater dork right so i'm at this school this girl rats me out for skipping ballet because i just didn't want to go to ballet i wanted to go
Starting point is 00:36:33 to mexico lindo and smoke flavored cigarettes and she had always had it out for me she went and told on me i found out she told on me and then i was like before i leave for my final semester at the terrible school i'm gonna get back at this girl and we had a christmas concert and everybody this was before i had to finish out the semester so i was like they made a big mistake letting me stay a whole week because then i just get my revenge and i'm already kicked out what more i have nothing to lose right go on the christmas concert she goes on stage everybody goes to sing hallelujah chorus as a group and i look at my best friend peggy and i go we're not going out to sing hallelujah chorus she's like what are we doing it's like you're gonna sit here and watch the
Starting point is 00:37:13 dressing room door and i'm gonna take this poland springs water bottle and i'm gonna fill her up in the bathroom and then i dumped it inside this girl's purse oh my gosh and then i just left that's unbelievable yeah so don't mess with us and you know what's so poetic about it what's so poetic about it is that every dork at the school wanted to just be on broadway like we were all just wanting to be on broadway her purse was one of those awful new york cityscape like Where you went in the summer? Yes. Like you buy it on the street corner next to the hot dogs.
Starting point is 00:37:44 So it was like this hard thing with the New York City skyline because that was her dream. I pissed on her dream and then I took her dream. That's right, Megan. I won't say your last name. Oh. I want to do that to the boys that made you pee. That's so sad. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:38:02 But does it explain a lot about me and my constant need for validation? It does, but I think what's impressive is that you went home. that night and made a list of like all the things you were gonna accomplish you're gonna list all their names that's what i would have done like game of thrones people are always trying to like take you down you just have to living well is best revenge do you find that with dancing with the stars i feel like there has to be an element of like not high school level drama but like within the cast of dancing with the stars yeah to be honest no like everyone asks the same question And I think our fans fight more than we do, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Like any family, we have moments, especially near the end of the season, where you're sleep deprived, your nerves are on edge, you're just trying to get things done, and you think someone looks at you the wrong way. And then you hold a grudge about it for a week until you say something, they're like, oh my God, I was having the worst day of my life because something happened.
Starting point is 00:38:54 We have dramas because we're going to, we see each other every day for so much. But we don't have the rivalries that I think people expect us to. You've got to remember, we've all grown up with each other. yeah i've known peter for 10 years i've known derrick and mark since we're teenagers you know it's sasha we used to go to the same studio sasha and i used to date you no one knows this i mean it's i mean it's i guess people do know we were on tour for a very long time together we actually dated for like two and a half years like a lifetime ago wow does emma know yes of course emma was on
Starting point is 00:39:27 tour with us at the same time i left touring and we went different ways for a little while then we all somehow ended up up back on dancing with the stars and wow i've known emma slater since she was i got her drunk for the first time that's like she she was definitely underage but that's what i mean we all know each other so much so it's not like you think we don't aim to beat one another i mean we all actually help one another we walk into the room next door even in the finale and just give help if we can because it is as corny as it sounds or as ridiculous as it sounds it's one big family yeah um i would be a psycho yeah totally i would too i i'd be like so jealous of someone else's legs like your legs if there's anyone's legs to be jealous of it's
Starting point is 00:40:13 lindsey arnold i call her my mini victoria's secret model she's she's very annoying with her beauty in person god she's gorgeous it's annoying it's amazing i don't know what the water is over there um i do want to ask you something there's going to be a tour yes there is tell us about that there is going to be the lights yes what's it called light up the night yeah it was good it was good i liked the enthusiasm um it's going to be amazing this is our our third winter tour i think or fourth winter tour it'll be my fourth tour that i'm doing uh we have an amazing cast but we are going to be going for longer with everything changing in um 2018 for dancing with the stars we're now going to be touring for 11 weeks until the beginning of april uh so it's
Starting point is 00:40:53 It's really exciting for us. We love going on tour because, quite selfishly, it's no longer about a celebrity that we have to dance with. We get to create what we want to dance for us and push our limits and do that every night. And it really is amazing going from city to city and seeing all of our amazing fans that just want to share love and share how this show has affected them.
Starting point is 00:41:17 I never in a million years would have thought that a dance show was going to inspire people to do better and be better. and yet we hear stories about it at every meet and greet and by the buses every night and sometimes it's overwhelming to think that you have that much power and that much influence on people and it really is something that none of us take lightly um you know what want to hear a fun fact when i was a rockette still not doing this world i was doing the other world my roommate nicole schumann and i after rehearsals every time dancing with the stars was on like mondays i think it was only once a week at that point it wasn't twice a week we would like
Starting point is 00:41:53 get home from rehearsal dancing all day and then we would sit with our ice bags on and we would like dancing with the stars was like our life like we would discuss it all week like it really is one of those shows like because it's not so catty and it's not so fake like it seems real and yeah watching people really go through a journey and it's it's it is a dance show that is just not really about dance at the end of the day what you're falling in love with is watching frankie muniz get out there and dance and show his personality and what it takes for him to be able to get out there and do it it's cute you're falling in love with with the people not necessarily the choreography and i think that's what makes it so successful it's it's about um just good old
Starting point is 00:42:33 human uh good humans getting up there and trying to do something outside their comfort zone and your nipple and my nipple and a good nip slip sometimes she feels like she doesn't get shown enough so she just jumps out hey we need a little rating spike tonight all right when we come back you're gonna help uh our fans figure out their lives can't wait hey ladies ask the lady gang and we're back and we're back uh before we start ask the lady gang if you guys want 20 off of jackvanek.com use code lady gang are you ready to give some advice yes all right Our first question comes from Paige. Not an anonymous one, for once.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Paige says... Taking control of her life. I know, right? Paige says, My boyfriend and I have been together almost a year now. His best friend is a female, and according to all of his friends, is madly in love with him.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Of course she is. For example, she asked my boyfriend to be her date at a wedding last weekend. No. No, what? Negative. I trust that they are just best friends and nothing more, but a side of me can't help but hate her guts.
Starting point is 00:43:37 I knew about them being close before we started dating, but honestly, she is the reason behind all of our fights. P.S. I've talked to my boyfriend about it and he doesn't see anything wrong with them being close. Advice. That's a tough one for me because, to be honest, my entire life I've been friends with men before I was, even women, especially as a teenager.
Starting point is 00:43:57 And it's only really in the last few years of my life I've learned to value female relationships and how important they are. I have a lot of male friends in my life that there is absolutely nothing sexual with. they are like my best friends i don't even see them that way they don't see me that way but i know that as a girlfriend i can't help but have like the little jealousy spark come in and that wondering if well what if what if it's not like that what if it's not like the small
Starting point is 00:44:24 percentage of relationships that are just friendly and those that get a little bit complicated after a while i don't know i have an issue well and if she's like she's overstepping boundaries if she If she's asking him to be her date for a wedding. That's to take it too far. I agree. That's to take it too far. That's taking it way too far. That's not like going to a movie or hanging out or, you know, just being friends.
Starting point is 00:44:43 That's like, be my date. You don't go to a date with a friend. To a wedding. To a wedding. Yeah. I think also if your boyfriend, because sometimes men have a harder time, like, being brutally honest in those situations and they just don't want to upset somebody and he obviously cares about her.
Starting point is 00:44:58 But I think what you have to say to him is that by being available like this to her and giving her so much energy and attention it's actually disservice to her because the longer she gets it from you and if she really is in love with you then the longer she's going to be wasting her time and you're wasting your time so i feel like if you like ask him to shut the door a little or put a little distance there she might actually find somebody else to fall in love with yeah who's available yeah i also will say i have a best friend that is a guy but we've known each other since we were five years old like i don't believe that man does he not live here though right he doesn't live here no no but like we both lived in new york together but the thing is is that
Starting point is 00:45:36 if if you met when you were real kids and you're like family friends it feels like a cousin or a brother or something like that because you've grown up through all this like craziness but i think if you meet someone like last year and you're like oh he's my best guy friend that feels weird to me like i think it depends where you come from because my whole life everyone was like oh you're gonna marry this guy you're gonna marry this guy you're best friends and i was like no i really don't feel that way but no one could really understand it and now he's married and like both of us have kind of pulled back from our friendship we're still like deep rooted that like way a lifelong friend is yeah but like i understand to the significant others right like
Starting point is 00:46:11 i understand that we're not gonna have sleepovers anymore like it's cool you're married you know what i mean like i understand that you're not gonna call me for two hours on a saturday night like even though i miss you call me okay okay our second question comes from elena is it you elena No. Are you sure? Do you like Tiffany's rings? Okay. Elena says, my favorite movie of all time is Breakfast at Tiffany's, and I've always dreamt that my engagement ring would come from Tiffany's.
Starting point is 00:46:37 I've even jokingly told my boyfriend that if the box isn't blue, then the answer is no. Back in July, I picked out the ring I wanted with my mom. I knew the size, the order number. It was a reasonable price, foolproof. But apparently, his mother really wants me to have a family heirloom ring. I'm sure it has a lot of sentimental value and I feel honored that his family sees me with such compassion and love that they want
Starting point is 00:46:57 me to have this family ring but what if it's ugly or not my style I'm stubborn and a tourist do I learn to love the idea of the heirloom or do I dig my heels in for something in a blue box Elena you're a real dick I'm just kidding
Starting point is 00:47:15 Alana I actually have the perfect thing You could get a Tiffany setting and take the diamond out of the heirloom and put them together. Yeah, it's called compromise. But I also want to tell you a story. One time when I was really poor, I was given a Tiffany's bracelet by someone, I think work, and I was really poor. And I tried to pawn it at the jewelry pawn place because I was like, oh, this is worth like $500, right?
Starting point is 00:47:44 and then they were like no it's worth 33 because tiffany is actually not that great of quality of what they have it's just that the name it's like you're essentially buying the gucci name so to be a real smart girl i'm gonna tell you you need to get over the blue box like if you want a huge diamond you'd be better off going to the diamond district and getting like your huge diamond beautiful setting for like a quarter of the price than getting in a blue box because it's way overrated but yeah i like family heirloom is such a special thing now like you don't know how many people wish that they had that because it's even more meaningful and also i'm sorry but it just doesn't make sense to spend a boatload of money even though you're saying it's reasonable
Starting point is 00:48:28 nothing relatively speaking at tiffany's is really reasonable so it's like you have this diamond it's free set it the way you want it you can do a tiffany style setting everyone will do it and it's like that's part of getting married it's compromising why don't you get the engagement ring of the heirloom and then get the band from tiffany yeah yeah yeah you gotta have the box or you can say to him i'll take this family heirloom but every gift from now on better be from tiffany there's nothing wrong with that right yeah there you go i love what you said about how people would want that though it's such a special thing to have an heirloom i don't have one and i would love it if the person that i end up marrying has one that can
Starting point is 00:49:04 be passed down that can then go to my kids i think that is special so very special and it goes beyond a blue box that you're not even going to think about in 20 years time well and that his family even cares enough to want you to have a lot of families are like we don't like that bitch save it for your kid yeah exactly okay our last question comes from kendra kendra says i've been with my boyfriend for over eight years and i can't figure out what to do about me feeling stuck not in the relationship but in my home we always go on these vacations that should be fun but he doesn't like doing anything and i come back from my vacation feeling as miserable as before and still so bored do i move cities do i go on vacation by myself get therapy i have these
Starting point is 00:49:46 horrible mental breakdowns all the time and i'm exhausted i mean you just you just sound unhappy it sounds like if you're not if you're not what these are big words but if you're not happy just being there with him and being in his company then maybe it isn't right if you want someone that is more active that wants to be adventurous and spontaneous and do things with you or is open to at least trying that
Starting point is 00:50:11 then maybe he just isn't the one just because it's eight years and it's comfortable it doesn't mean that it's right I love doing nothing I love doing nothing I'm like what's your ideal date night says the girl who dances like 85 hours a week I love doing nothing
Starting point is 00:50:26 but I'll go on vacation I just I don't I'm not a sightseeing person. I just want to relax and be pampered. That's it. See, I love doing things. You're a thing. I love activities. I love games.
Starting point is 00:50:40 You love a ho-nan again? I love it. That's a ho-tivity. What is a ho-nan again? It's when you act like a ho. An activity that's kind of hoey. Got you. Like that.
Starting point is 00:50:48 But yeah, I couldn't be with somebody like that either. I think you have to meet someone or be with someone who operates at the same decibel. you know like most of the time your idea of a good time should also be his idea idea of a good time not everything and you can compromise yeah totally generally if you are more wanting to go out and do things and he wants to sit at home watching tv that's a problem and maybe he's a little bored too so then and maybe he's naked stretching he's afraid yeah maybe he's afraid to say he's bored so maybe just have an honest conversation and be like is this the rest of our lives are you happy because i'm not and this is what i would need to have to change it to stay
