It's time for a quickie.
Podcast One presents The Lady Gang,
the Hollywood girl posse with Lady Gang Quickie.
Here's Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek.
Let's make this quick.
Hello, hello, hello.
Welcome to The Lady Gang Quickie.
Again, this is obviously Jack.
It's not Becca.
It's me and Kelty once again.
It is a little bit of an emergency quickie
that we have to talk about Taylor and Travis's wedding.
would it be the lady gang if we didn't but here we are you got to just do it in times of
whatever 100 becca was literally logging on and then got a you know when you have children you
i think every lady gang will uh will relate to this when you have a child sometimes you get the
phone call and you're like i'm getting in the car like i can't do it you know so she's fine
everything's fine but it's just us which is fine because the last time we did a podcast that was
just us, we gave all the wrong information. And I can't wait to do that again. Now, I do want to
start this podcast by saying this is us talking about Taylor and Travis's wedding with my poop
water colored bangs. Please be kind to me. I'm very, very sad right now. But what I want to say
is that as if I put on my entertainment news journalist hat, you really the rule is you cannot
report something unless you have two sources on that story. Now, I am wearing currently my
Lady Gang hat, which is like a, it's a sailor hat. Now, is this one source? This is one source.
This is the Lady Gang is one source. And so I just need to be very clear here because sometimes
people will be like, well, E! News' Kelty Knight said on our podcast. I'm like, no, no, I was not
in the newsroom with my two sources. And the interesting thing about entertainment news is
the sources can't be connected. So like if I went to you and you told me something and then I went
to Becca and she told me the same thing, that's not considered a source because you could have
told Becca and Becca could have told you. It has to be like you and then Madison, the girl that
you've never met in your life, also told me the same thing. Then that's my two sources. Does that
make sense? It can't be like two of Taylor's friends told you the same thing. It has to be
like Taylor's friend and then also like Selena Gomez's friend. I mean, it's hard when it's like
friend groups but like you have to i mean there's always level of distilling it but it if it was
like you know carly if it was like backstreet boy number one and backstreet boy number two told you
the same thing yeah that's like not you can't use that because it's like they're in the room
together they're hearing that hearsay from each other you would have to like then go you know
whatever so you're wearing your lady gang hat so that's like kind of like our free pass hat and
then you're going to... It's an allegedly hat, which is I have a bunch of information that I
have heard. The end day is tight, but people are talking and just things to discuss. And so I want
to just to warn everyone with that information. Okay. So do we want to start with all the
allegedly that you have or do we want to start? Because it was funny. I was trying to get some
info and I was pulling a lot of things from TMZ because I feel like once TMZ reports something,
it's pretty factual for the most part. They're always right. But there's so much shit swirling
around. There's all these fake images. Like we got images of her dress that were definitely AI
and I was judging the AI dress, obviously. But there's there's just a lot swirling around. So
how do we want to start? Where do we want to start? What do we want to start with?
I know exactly where we need to start, Jack, which is Pete Wentz was at this wedding.
He was?
Yes.
I didn't see that.
I know. And I can't believe they are leaving off. So I was like, you know, I'm on Instagram
and I saw Brendon Urie's wife post herself in this beautiful dress. And she, you know,
the new red carpet is you getting ready for the Taylor Swift wedding. Like, forget about it. People
are doing full photo shoots before they like go to this wedding, which is insane. Anyway,
she had this beautiful dress and I was like, oh my God, you look so gorgeous. This was perfect.
Right. And so then it was him, Brendan and Pete in a suit together with Sarah. And I was like,
oh, my God, they're all going to the wedding. And then Dashboard Confessional. Chris Cabrera
was at the wedding. Yeah, that's the one that I saw. And I was like, that's random. And I'm like,
have they ever even met? Or is she just a fan of his band? But I didn't know that Pete went.
So Taylor Swift and Pete did a Fall Out Boy to have a song together, right?
I think that her and Brendan have that song.
Her and Brendan have this song, but didn't they do like,
okay, well, see, this is us already doing the wrong information.
Well, Becca wouldn't know about a Pete-Taylor duo thing.
I think she loves Fall Out Boy, and then I know she loves Dashboard.
So like, she's obviously just fans with him.
Has he written any of her songs?
I don't even know.
But I was just like, you know everyone in the moon is coming to your wedding
when Pete Wentz is at your wedding.
And Pete looks good.
Well, no, he looks so good.
He's still so hot.
I was gonna say to you since she did invite everybody and her mom to the wedding like
are you a little sad that you didn't get the invite yeah it's like it felt like she invited
the entire PR list and I found out this morning Ryan Seacrest was invited and had to turn it down
because he was hosting the like 4th of July show or whatever and I was like that's so Ryan Seacrest
Ryan Seacrest is the only person that picked work over the invite.
Because that's work, too.
You're going to get more out of going to her wedding than you're going to get hosting something.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm like, there's no amount of money that you could pay me to host a live TV special celebrating Mirka instead of going to the Taylor Swift wedding.
That's so crazy.
And then she also invited the people from either GMA or Today Show, right?
George Stepanopoulos and some of those people.
So I'm like, oh, she invited media members, which like trusted media.
And I was like, I'm also trusted media.
So, you know, I'll be writing tree.
I'm giving her a couple of days.
I'm giving her a couple of days.
You're like, I thought because I was on that PR list, it meant that I was going to have
the invite to the wedding.
But also I wanted to say people are being so, first of all, people are being so judgmental.
I'm so happy for them.
And this is a situation where you either have a 10 person wedding or you have a thousand
person wedding.
Like, I don't think that Taylor and Travis could have a 200-person wedding or 150.
Like, they couldn't because the reason is, like, Chris and I had 40 people, which was family and just our friends.
There was no one from either of our workplaces invited.
But, like, once you start—like, he's got all these teammates.
Once you get a football team or, like, half of a football team with a plus one, that's 100 people.
You know what I mean?
Once you get your dancers—well, if you invite your dancers, you're not going to invite your tour manager.
like then that's messed up. So that's like, then you get the heirs. Like, so to me, it makes perfect
sense why they had a huge blowout. But then some of those celebrities were so random. I'm like,
who the, how the hell do you know that random guy on Modern Family? Like, why is he going to
your wedding? And I'm like, maybe you've met him before, but it was very like, she's just throwing
the invites out to a lot of people, which makes it even more offensive if you weren't invited and
you have met her once in your life before. It's true. Like you had, you know, you had Pete Wentz
there, but you couldn't make it right with Blake Lively is just so shocking to me. Like. Or Miles
Teller's wife. What happened with them? So I'm like thinking about. Or Todrick. Todrick wasn't
there either. And Todrick and her were so close. The once upon a time friendships were very strange
to me because Karlie Kloss, like all of a sudden out of the blue is there. And I was like, I thought
you can't like that friendship was over and wasn't there like a thing with she was wearing a gold
dress and that like signified their like lover relationship with each other because there's all
those rumors that they were like together at a certain like period of time and her wearing the
gold is like a reference to a lyric of a song about her allegedly I just like I mean it is
the not invited list is more fabulous than the invited list and is there somebody out there I
guess Brian Seacrest was the one like is there somebody out there that said no they RSVP'd no
like who else RSVP'd no that's like where was Dolly was Dolly there is my question she obviously
was invited but she only travels via RV oh like where was Reba McIntyre I don't know see yeah
there are people out there that you're like um I do want to talk about the invitation because my
God. That can't be real. There's no way that's real. But weren't you the one or maybe Becca said
that they were putting people's names in the backgrounds of things so you could see who leaked
the invitation because one of his teammates ended up being the one that leaked it and it had his
name like plastered all over it. Did you see that? No. What? Yes. So allegedly the invitation. But he
didn't realize his name was on it? You can see it. You can see it. The guy is dumb and he didn't
realize his name was on it? It's very obvious. So I thought it was watermarked like very because
you know how they can watermark like if you're sharing a song or something like that. So in the
back end, you can figure out who leaks music. This was like their name was not even incorporated
into the design. It was just plastered all over the invitation. His name is like, I don't know
what it was, but he only had like a thousand followers. So he leaked the invitation. And as
somebody. Do you see it? Oh, whoa. It's in the background. But it's not like incorporated and
it's not subtle. Like it's very obvious your name is on this invitation. Oh, well, maybe the NDA
didn't cover the invitation. It doesn't have any info on it. It had to because nobody leaked it
until after the wedding. But I will say a lot of stylistic things have hurt my soul about this
wedding, obviously, because as somebody who designed a lot of her own thing, you know, I made
a little bit of a logo for our wedding. I hand drew our wedding invitations. Um, some of the
things, you know, they hurt a little bit, but I'm not going to get too into it because at the end of
the day, I think what people are forgetting is like who she is at her core. Like every, the
cheesiness, the borderline tackiness of this wedding is who she is at her core. And so I don't
think anybody should be that surprised with some of these things, which is where I have to separate
myself from it because I'm like as an artist not that I'm saying I'm an amazing artist but the
artist and creative in me is like it could be anything and you have all of the money and so
why this and it's like because she likes it yeah I mean the thing is is that like this is not Zoe
Kravitz this is not like yes she's friends with the Heim sisters which like kind of puts you there
But like at her core, this is like a girl who loves stationery.
She's like a Kelty.
She really is.
She has no personal style.
And like, yeah, we've talked about this before.
She's not a fashionista.
She's not an art.
You know, her art is her songwriting and her songwriting is consistently like.
And the reason we love it so much is that she like takes us back to like 20 something
like years ago.
Yeah. Like she is so high school. And so, you know, I think that it's very much like it would have been weird to do it so formal. Like I like that the invitation, if this is real or whatever, is like kind of weird and kooky because it like what I would have hated if it was like.
Well, it looks like a crappy Canva invitation.
You know what I mean? Where it's like gold, like blah, blah, blah. It seems like they tried to make it a vibe. Did they succeed? We don't know. But like, you know, I think the most beautiful thing about the wedding is that all the people who are breaking their NDA, like Mama Kelsey and the aunt that like was rolling up, rolling down with the window down. She's like, it was great. Everybody cried.
like the most important thing is like they love each other and they cried and they felt love in
the room like remember how crazy your wedding is sorry I gotta breathe like Kelsey's starting to
cry she's getting so emotional like do you remember how crazy your wedding was and like
weddings are so stressful and then the thing that like brings it into like what it needs to be
is these two people saying their vows now yeah but I have a problem with the vows because they
were 20 minutes each. A 40 minute vow exchange is a podcast. That's insane. That's as long as
one of our full length podcast episodes. I, so Jared and my vows, I think were five minutes each
and getting up there and speaking for five minutes straight feels like a eternity. Like it feels so
long. So I can't imagine. And it feels even longer for the guests to watch you do it.
Jack, where did you hear this report? Because did someone have a watch? No one had their phone. No one wears a watch. Nobody knew how long the bow were. They just said they were long. And someone said 20 minutes. They were probably five minutes and just seemed long.
I mean, I hope so.
There's no way they were 20 minutes.
And if there's no drink refill during that time, it's like, oh, God, I don't care who you are.
The Lady Gang.
The craziest thing I will say is that I was recently with a friend of mine who almost got married at Madison Square Garden.
So we were together over the wedding weekend and she told me, I can't believe Taylor copied me, I wanted to get married at Madison Square Garden.
Why did she want to?
It was the first place she looked into.
Well, she's a huge Knicks fan.
and but they looked into it and she told me that when they went for the walkthrough they were like
one of the first people that have ever like wanted to get married there it's two million dollars per
day just to rent the venue and so taylor had it for six days right with setup and takedown
so that's like 12 million dollars and that's just to have a venue that's not bringing in the castle
bringing in the whatever. The craziest thing to me is if this TMZ leaked photo of the venue
is real. Which one? The one that's like the peach hallway? No, no, no. There's like one of like
the castle, which like, okay, great. It's a love story. Just say yes. The craziest thing to me
is the seat covers on the seats at the garden. Weren't they like peach or something?
No, they're like white.
Like, you know, when you go to a wedding and they have ugly chairs and you put like a chair
cover over.
But what's so crazy is all of my conversations about, oh, you're getting at Madison Square
Garden.
Was there a piece of me that thought we would be in stadium seating going up the sides?
Like, that's so crazy to me to go to a wedding and there's floor seats and then there's lower
bowl seats is wild.
Like, that is so crazy to me to think like the wedding planner's like, yes, and then
we'll cover this beer soaked, beer soaked chair where Spike Lee usually sits in a peach. Like
that, that setup blew my mind. I was, I was not thinking that. I thought they would take out
those seats or I guess you can't, I don't know. And then the other thing is, is that if that was
the main court, right? So if the ceremony was in the main court, where was the reception? In the
theater at Madison Square Garden downstairs? Yeah, I will say I truly thought that it was
going to be a ruse. I thought what was going to happen, the Madison Square Garden of it all,
like everybody was like, oh, and she's going to go somewhere else. This is what I thought was
going to happen. I thought she was going to have everybody arrive at Madison Square Garden like it
was going to be there. Then they were going to take some underground tunnel to a private airport.
Then she was going to shuttle everybody in PJs to a remote island and get married on a remote
island that she had rented out the whole entire thing. That's what I thought was going to happen.
And I was like, that would be chic, and obviously she can afford it.
It would probably be the same price as she paid to do Madison Square Garden.
Also, people have, like, trackers on her planes.
Like, there's no privacy for her.
But there, listen, like, you, there could be a private way to do it.
Like, you could rent out an entire luxury hotel and rent out the entire block around it
and hire all of the security and all of the police.
I mean, she had, like, the National Guard there.
The helicopters will still fly over.
It doesn't. You could get married inside at a hotel or at a castle.
Well, that sounds boring. So was Madison Square Garden?
No, Madison Square Garden is amazing, actually. I think I love it.
I want to tell you the tea that I have.
Give me the tea.
I did hear from some people are talking, but they're just like doing a light gossip.
And I did hear that she was stunning. Like she had multiple dresses.
Okay. I'm very interested to see her wedding, her choices.
I can't wait. I do think we'll get photos, if not by the time this airs.
What do you think she's going to do? Is she going to do like a people?
Like what's the reveal going to be?
I think she'll do it on her Instagram.
Probably, hopefully it'll come out before this even airs.
So sorry that we don't have the pictures.
But I did hear that she did like a party dress at the end of the night
and like changed into sneakers so she could dance.
So she was like every bride on the planet that was just like,
I've been in these heels for 17 years and like I'm going to change into like a little,
I'm sure they were, like, designer sneakers or whatever, but I just think that's really cute.
Well, didn't she have Louboutin?
Didn't they have Louboutin do their shoes?
Oh, yeah.
So it must have been, like, some sort of, like, Louboutin, like, little sneaker, which I think is, like, so cute.
And I also did hear that she was not growing out her hair and it was not a clip-on bang.
Which we were very sure of.
We were sure on Lady Gang Podcast that she was doing a clip-on bang and she was going to come with one-length hair.
um she did not and yeah it was interesting i will say the one thing that's off for me on the wedding
i was trying to think of like what i would do so abigail is her best friend from like she's my
katie she's your you know what i mean like she's been her best friend since she was a kid and
abigail was wearing the same dress as some another guest and the dress was like an expensive revolve
dress right like I think I looked it up it was like I had like a corset kind of it was like a
corset it was very beautiful but it was like 895 so it's expensive right I'm assuming the reason
that Abigail is still in the picture is that Abigail treats Taylor normal and doesn't ask
her for anything that's why like not even that I have that level of money or fame or anything but
I will say that as you are in the public eye when people ask you for things or like expect you from
things or like don't treat you normal it's very jarring and you kind of get rid of those people
and the reason that katie is still my best friend is like she calls me out on her bullshit and like
she would come to my thing and she would never be like can you buy me a dress you know what i mean
she would just come and now even though her budget is clearly not millionaire she would you know she
would come and be her best self which is like what i love about her but if dior was making my wedding
dress and I was a billionaire yeah would I offer Abigail a dress that was just like my only thing
is I was like hey Dior's dressing me for the wedding they said they would give you a dress
to wear because this is like her number one close but she wasn't having a bridesmaid so then it
makes sense like you know it's so unfair because everyone else the wedding like Selena Gomez is
wearing custom Oscar de la Renta and it's like Abigail doesn't have the ability to go do that
she's wearing a dress from Revolve that like another girlfriend was wearing. And I did not
enjoy that. That was my only note for the wedding. Everything else I love. I mean, listen, I have
lots of internal notes that I won't share on this podcast, but I do have a question about the dress
code because it did say black tie on the invitation. And it seemed like nobody was in the
same universe in the way that they dressed for this wedding. Like we had people with like short
dresses. Camila Cabello was wearing this like see-through like lingerie type of dress. Well,
technically was long but she had a panty isn't black that's a Zimmerman dress yeah but isn't
black tie supposed to be like a certain fabric and like us yeah but it's the same thing I went
to a black tie wedding this summer I wore a short dress like I don't know if we know we're like
millennial black tie I mean but the thing is also like again the Hollywood people like Jennifer
Lopez looks like she was going to the Golden Globes she did a whole photo shoot in the hallway
before she went and then there's like people are all over the place with their outfits it was so
bizarre it was but like i don't know like again it's like how does your friend plays no taylor
like i'm just so confused i need that flow chart what's that like meme where the guy is like yeah
and then the other thing i want to say that i just love is like the theory of it all was that
she invited like maddie healy's old girlfriend who gabriella or no he's with her no it was like
some old girlfriend came and their friends, I guess. And it was so Jack Vanek, healthy coded,
like let's get together and like live our best lives post post rocker, you know?
Yeah. What did you think of the just TNT married sign that I thought was an AT&T commercial that
they put on outside of Madison Square Garden? Did you see that?
Yeah, I saw that. I mean, again, they should have had you design it like we could have had
a better font but I don't know the restrictions on like a very old sign like that like I think
it's like not a digital sign uh yeah listen I I like I don't I don't know I don't care I did I
was like trying to make I was like is this AT I'm like confused but like that's what they call each
other TNT very cute yeah I mean I get the idea yeah I think at the royal wedding someone came
out oh no we watched it live there was a live stream um like i feel like we could have had
that or we could have had like a jester come out of medicine square garden and be like
this is the thing i i don't know like i i love how cheesy it all is yeah you have to lean into
that like this is not amal cluny getting married in venice this is like the football star and miss
Americana and they're just gonna I don't know they're just gonna do what they're gonna do
there was this one moment that it's like when you kind of zoom out and look about look at how it
represents I guess celebrity culture and parasocial relationships and all that is after the wedding
one of the catering companies like brought pastries and like allegedly their wedding cake
out and all of the fans were like going after it like ravenous animals and it was like very much
like a let them eat cake moment in society because it's just like what are we doing right now like
this is so crazy it's just wild I mean I can't stop saying I mean I'm so annoying I will say this
I knew something, it was going to be over the top, like massive crazy when they donated the
$26 million the week before. And you know what? But is that a PR move? Of course. It doesn't
matter. But to me, it does not matter if this is a PR stunt or this is a, we're going to go
spend $20 million on our wedding and we don't want to be canceled for it. So we're going to
go donate money. Either way, either way, Dolly's Imagination Library has $2 million more than it
did last week you know what I mean so it's like I just like you do you there's a lot of billionaires
and a lot of rich people that are doing billionaire rich people shit that are not giving that kind of
money away and so I do want to like clap for them because yeah it's a spectacle they had to pay all
this money to like close down the streets and stuff but like 26 million dollars is a lot of
money to just give away and then people are like but that's only three percent of her whatever I
mean, I don't care. Did you give away twenty six million dollars? Twenty six million dollars to
her is like three cents to a normal person. Sure. But it's still twenty six million dollars. Like
that's a lot. I'm excited. I am concerned. My last thought for this wedding is I'm concerned
about what Adam Sandler wore. Now, people were very surprised about Adam Sandler. I was not when
I was in the theater with Taylor at the Arras tour movie premiere. They sat beside each other
and she loves him but like did he did he wear a suit was it a horribly fitted suit like did we
get that together i haven't seen him without a basketball short on for 20 years so that anything
he wore would be a surprise to me he might have worn a basketball short and taylor would have been
like okay great you know you do you boo boo can you imagine how iconic you have to be to walk down
the aisle to your own song so is that true who knows that's not iconic but it doesn't even matter
if it's true it's so fun I hope the truth never comes out I hope the rest of our lives we just
talk about the rumors of things that we thought might have happened and they filmed it so where
is the and then I was like the rumors that they're going to give the film to the wedding guests like
any wedding guests wants a film of your wedding like I guess maybe hers but like I would be like
no thank you I don't want to watch this I was there I think okay last thing I'm going to say
the sign is for protection so there was like this sign that said like you're being filmed
And everyone's like, oh, my God, they're going to put on Disney Plus. No, no, no. If Taylor Swift's filming and there's a wedding and all of a sudden in the very far back edge of one of the frames, it's Tom Brady snorting a line of Coke off a table. He can sue her for like defamation. Do you know what I mean? So she's so famous and so rich, she would have to do a release of like a likeness with that many famous people around. Like, do you know what I mean?
Yeah, interesting.
Anyway, I'm dying to know
what the Lady Gang thought of the wedding.
Hopefully we'll have a dress that we can dissect.
And this is not the last time we're gonna talk about this.
We're gonna get the dress.
We're gonna get more details.
We're gonna get Becca involved.
Like it's everything, but we love you guys.
And happy Taylor wedding.
Mrs. Kelsey, so happy for you.
TNT, baby.
Okay, bye-bye.
Bye.
Jack hated it and I loved it.
We couldn't be more different.
Bye.
Bye.
