Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Lady Gang. I am going to do intros, even though this hurts my soul so much. Some of you are tuning in for the very first time, and you want to know who the hell you're listening to. I am actress, blogger, newly engaged.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Oh, look at you being so nice to yourself. Becca Tobin. Wow. Get those hyphens, girl. Get those hyphens. Yes, and we have across from me Ms. Kelty Knight from CBS's The Insider. She's been nominated for an Emmy twice. That's right. And she's also not wearing a bra today.
Starting point is 00:01:42 And next to me is Ms. Jack Vanek. She is the Jack Vanek of Jack Vanek Clothing, CEO, Lady Boss, Extraordinaire, and Queen of Social Media. Today we have a really exciting show for you. But before we get into that, I have to tell you guys, or Kelty's going to whip me with her belt. Go on Instagram and please follow us. We're getting so good. I mean, our numbers are insane and we're almost higher than Kelty's personal account. It's true.
Starting point is 00:02:12 It's very true. But doesn't that make you a little happy? It makes me so happy that so many people love Lady Gang. And I also found out the secret is that Jack uses a rose filter on all of her Instagram. So I started doing that. And I have, um, all like almost 42,000 followers and it's going up because I started using the rose filter. It's C1 on VSCO cam for anybody that wants to see one.
Starting point is 00:02:34 That's my, that's my, I have no idea what you're talking about. Um, so go follow us there. Also, um, subscribe to this podcast because it's the best one that's out there and you don't want to miss it when we come up with a new one. Starting point is 00:03:11 everybody needs to know that this sale will end and you can't get the tank top again you have like two days you're going to have to buy it off eBay for like $400
Starting point is 00:03:18 in a couple months super famous okay so with that said it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no all right jack you're up i'm starting okay you're gonna hate me but i have two good weeks i mean fine i have a make it brief okay come on jack my first short short good week is my favorite website of all time is now selling jack fanick and i'm so excited
Starting point is 00:03:43 which one revolve they are did this have anything to do with us going to the coachella revolve house party no it's just like so it's not because of you it was just random they just wanted to start carrying my stuff and then i went into their little like pop-up shop and shopped some of their clothes and now we're like working together i'm so excited because i love them so much that's amazing they're like my number one i always shop there congratulations damn you're so cool what's your other good week coolest what else great happened this week jack so my real good week is i did something cool with technology and i made us a lady gang facebook group i know it's so cool you guys and it's so exciting we have like 200 members already and it's a secret yeah
Starting point is 00:04:27 it's secret so we like wanted to create a space for everybody to come to if they like couldn't talk about their problems somewhere else and people are already like kind of like venting about their jobs and girls are giving each other advice and it's super cute and i'm really excited so how can we join um search the lady gang on facebook i think i don't think that there's an actual link so you just have to search us and then do you accept i personally accept no boys no boys not even our gays the gays yes how do they prove they're gay i don't know they have to show like a picture of them kissing another boy yeah change that icon boys i was gonna say a penis in their mouth but okay kissing works i'll do a little g-rated version okay yay us
Starting point is 00:05:05 on facebook yeah so everybody join and then you can meet but also i want to say this i posted some very revealing information about my week on the Facebook page and then someone screenshot of it and put it on Twitter and I was like, here's the rule. What happens in the Lady Gang private Facebook stays in the Lady Gang private Facebook. That's the thing about those private groups is like, well
Starting point is 00:05:25 number one, don't post anything too private. Or you'll get kicked out. We'll find you. I'll kick you out because I'm the admin. Yeah, we'll find you. And I have power. So don't be a dick and screenshot things. Yep. Strike one. Okay, so my bad week is, I don't know if you guys saw in the news but there is like a super
Starting point is 00:05:40 big hacking happening myspace got hacked oh no that was your calling card myspace got hacked and the mothership does that exist anymore i don't know i mean it has to if it's getting hacked that's so weird it was like the old justin timberlake bought it and tried to turn it into some other thing and it failed but the old original myspace got hacked and everybody's passwords got stolen or something and then they deleted everybody's messages and i'm so bummed because i had so many good messages in there that was like my youth all deleted did you ever go back and just reminisce i did i did and you know one of my first messages was it was from one of these band guys that like i was obsessed with and i was 15 and he was hitting on me yes so basically
Starting point is 00:06:29 this hack maybe saved him from jail time probably good that's been over 10 years yeah but i'm so bummed because my and i then i try to go and even look if my myspace existed and it doesn't and just i'm really sad rest in peace that was my my everything so time to say goodbye i know i can't you guys i can't give it up okay part of me well i'm sorry we're gonna have to it's my turn now go um so my good week is i did a cleaning out of my instagram social media twitter i cleaned house of who you follow yeah god i need to do that it was the best feeling ever because i realized i started getting on social media and scrolling and my reaction would be like oh ew yeah oh my god now like i hate myself and i hate her more and then like it just
Starting point is 00:07:26 turned me into a really negative person yeah turned me in but um that was it that's that's what happened yeah i mean really it was just like so i i went in and i it's been a couple days i feel great and you can actually see the people you can yeah that's the thing people on instagram and i don't even know what my friends are doing yeah it's it's kind of nice so i actually get to see like people i know did you keep us you'll have to find out um i'm nervous i kept one of you it's me it's me i have a feeling it's probably jack too you'll find out one last follower oh no here's my bad week uh it has to do with wedding planning are you surprised i can't wait this is gonna be incredible year with us well zika is ruining my
Starting point is 00:08:13 wedding no zach and i had some really great ideas and like destinations we're doing a destination like something you know not like our hometowns blah blah um and i was like oh my gosh saint lucia it's like the most beautiful place ever we love it zika like is everywhere yeah so damn and also you're planning like a year out so i don't know where zika is gonna be zika could be everywhere by then we could all be dead yeah zika zika is ruining lives wait is zika in mexico now or no i don't think yet it's i mean it's gonna go everywhere it will be everywhere um but so that's antarctica or something that's my bad week at least if i did it in somewhere cold i could be fatter that's true it's true you can just wear a ski suit yep so romantic a little veil going
Starting point is 00:09:01 down the hill that's like an 80s like porno i think yeah i can see it like the white boots kelty tell me about your week um i'm gonna start with my good week uh i got to be a preliminary judge on miss usa oh that's and honestly i knew i was gonna love it before i went and i loved it more than you can even imagine i put the crown on i like walked around here's the thing the pageants it is ridiculous because it's like girls in bathing suits just in a like a four inch stripper heel and you're just like i don't know what i'm judging right now you look better than me every one of you how do you even judge that what were you i judged i literally looked at their eyes and i was like are you alive in there that was like my first judging i was like are you alive
Starting point is 00:09:49 because you know there's like that fake smile and there's nothing going on upstairs so when you like walked out if you knew that this was as ridiculous as it is i liked you and i and then i went on to like you know i also picked people for bikini that looked like they had to work at it like if you either either end of the spectrum like i wanted to know that you had to spend some time in the gym to get that but i want to know the super feminist of you as you judge the miss us i know and then well they say don't they say don't judge the gown like if the gown's ugly but the girl is like really owning it.
Starting point is 00:10:23 So you're just judging the girl. Confidence? What's confidently beautiful. But then here's the thing. Here's what the best, the good week, why it was a good week
Starting point is 00:10:31 is that then I got to do the interview portion and I got to ask like the really tough questions because you know I'm the journalist. So how tough do the questions get at Miss USA?
Starting point is 00:10:39 I said women make 73 cents on the dollar to men. What should we do? Becca was like we shouldn't touch it but anyway the rest of the women think that's a problem so they all answered on it.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Sure they do. I'm so sure the pageant women who are participating in Miss USA are really concerned but here's the thing honestly they really surprised me i want to tell you about one of my favorite contestants miss alaska blew me away she's not gonna win probably i don't know i was trying to think this will be out by then but yeah she's not gonna win but like this is she told me she flies a plane to school she's like i live in alaska and there's no cars and
Starting point is 00:11:10 i have to apply and she was like i catch my own fish for dinner like she was so dope and had these like anyway i love miss alaska for you here's my bad week someone randomly snapchatted me a giant black penis wait how do you get snapchats from random i didn't know what was happening so i'm on snapchat i was sitting at my kitchen table and i was like oh who's this from because i don't have that many people snapchatting me and i was always like i don't know maybe it's a fan maybe it's one of our people and so i snapchat i'm like oh and it's just like a guy holding a giant black penis and then his face no just the penis from your he is this if as if he had the camera in his face and he was looking down at his penis holding it and i was like oh and then i like hit it and then
Starting point is 00:11:49 the next snap came up and it was like another angle and then i was like oh god and chris is like what and i was like someone is snapping me a giant black penis and then i was like i couldn't you know on snapchat sometimes you like you can't get out of where you're going and the more you touch it the more places it takes you anyway i felt pretty popular and um so this is your good so thanks no i mean it was a bad week i felt like a little gross too i'm sure you felt a little violated i felt a little violated and then i was just like oh god unsolicited wieners never a good thing all right well that wraps it up okay what's going on now here's the lady gang i've never been more excited about anything i
Starting point is 00:12:31 say that every week but i feel like every week our guests get better and better listen one of our most popular episodes ever of the lady gang was when morgan stewart from rich kids beverly hills came on and we were very surprised because we were like who knew that this runaway smash hit show could be so huge and then people were like oh my she's just what is she with her richness and i was like oh no we had the best time ever so then we were like we need the number one bitch on that show right now dorothy wang to come down and talk to us because she is really at the center of this circle she's got her own jewelry line she's got her own champagne line which i saw her do a me your message about we're going to talk about that she's the queen of the memes on instagram
Starting point is 00:13:13 if you're not following her there's life advice in the form of a meme that you get every week um she lives an insane life um because she's actually not fake rich like we are all trying to be she's like really rich real rich she's the star of ease hit series rich kids of beverly hills dorothy welcome hi god wow what an introduction we are so excited about having you this is just delicious i'm probably gonna make you read that back to me later right you just have to play that to yourself as you wake up i remember having a tough day i play it back what is it like to be at the center of the reality because there's so many reality shows no one cares about and you're on one and people are up in your business yeah what is that like because you really are it's
Starting point is 00:13:55 kind of centered around you you know it's like there's other you know it's me it's you you're the richest are you the richest she's definitely the richest yeah she's crying she shook her head She shook her head. Oh, my God. I love that in my head. So how do you deal with the pressure of – I'm not like – yeah. How do you deal with the pressure of being, you know, your life out there now?
Starting point is 00:14:16 This is a couple seasons – two seasons in, right? Three seasons? Four. Oh, God. This is our fourth season. Oh, God. We've been around for a while. Yeah, when picking up steam, obviously.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Damn, you're everywhere. So how do you deal with the pressure? I don't really feel any pressure. I feel like before this all happened, I really thought to myself, like, do i really want to go down this route and i just i always lived my life very openly and i never really apologized for anything and i just am really true to myself so it's not like i have skeletons in my closet or like a fake life i'm trying to portray so i really just felt that like at the end of the day there's not much for me to hide and i've always been very public and open
Starting point is 00:14:53 about everything anyway so i guess just the next step was putting it on a television show obviously the next step obviously no i feel like it really went from like oh people like me on twitter oh people love my instagram oh now we have a television show it was just like the natural progression is as we call it but i think what you're saying is right because there's people that are very you know well off or successful or have this sort of opulent life and they try to be like i'm just like you and you're like no you're no guys you're not here's my birkins like and i like that because i i feel like there's a part of all of us that wants that escapism of like yeah Oh, what would that let private jet life be?
Starting point is 00:15:31 I probably won't experience that in my life, but I feel like you do it in a really cool way. So is there – do you think about that? No, that's just how I am. I feel like, well, just growing up, I've always had nice things around me, but I always just feel like I was not – I just always had a strong head on my shoulders and I was very grounded. And I think that really comes from being scared of your parents or wanting to please your parents. All those people that kind of go out and kind of go down the wrong path, it's always because they're not scared of their parents anymore. I feel like actually Hilary Duff once said that. They asked her, how are you not like all these other Disney girls that have gone to rehab?
Starting point is 00:16:04 And she said, you know, because I'm scared of my mom. My mom would beat my ass. Yeah, I still like that. So I think that they really raised me and my sister a certain way. And it was always, you know, we'll provide you with nice things and you can live this great life. But you have to be a good person and you have to have a strong head on your shoulders. Did they raise you super strict with school and stuff like that? Did you get a Birkin for your birthday when you were 11?
Starting point is 00:16:26 How does that work? No, but it also took – no, my parents are very – they were – they're very protective, and they always – they don't want to give me, I guess, too much too early. So, I mean, I didn't get my first working until I was, like, 18, until I was in college. Oh, that's so nice. We waited until college. Oh. But I wasn't – I don't think I was allowed to bring them to USC.
Starting point is 00:16:47 I think I just had, like, a Chanel school bag. Okay. That's gross. This is everything. So, I think that you – When did you realize you were rich? Yeah, at what point? We never really – I always could tell.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I mean, that, like, we never had – that I was provided for when we always had food and, you know, I never had to worry about paying for stuff. No, but when were you like, oh, shit, I could buy you? Like, I'm rich was when it came out in Forbes. My parents don't talk to me about that. I never knew, like, oh, the company is worth this much, this is the value until it was printed. What is the value? Well, when it was printed in Forbes, when my dad was on the billionaire's list of Forbes, the world billionaire list, and I didn't know at all. And I was like, oh, I know we had some, but, like, I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Wow. So Dorothy, that was, I found that out. Like when I was like, I don't know. I was in college too. Two questions. Number one, what is the most regular thing? Like, have you ever had to fly on Southwest? Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:38 I'm a real, I'm a regular person. That's the thing though. I like. Bitch, you've never flown Southwest. Yes. Wait, were you? To Vegas. What group?
Starting point is 00:17:45 That doesn't count. What boarding group? What boarding group? See? I forgot to check in. Then I was like, D, right? Flying Southwest to Vegas doesn't count, Dorothy. Why?
Starting point is 00:17:55 Because I don't have to fly. Have you ever been on a flight that was four hours or more in coach? Yes. Not recently, but yes. Have you ever sat in a middle seat before? In life? Yes, I have. No, because I always, when I go with my family and stuff.
Starting point is 00:18:09 You sit between your parents in first class? When I would go with my family, I have a certain level that I would like to travel in and they provide that. But when I'm just going on trips with my friends, especially if I'm going to Miami for like a birthday party, I sometimes feel guilty spending their money. You're not going to be like, I'll be in first class. yeah you know balling out so i would go coach how do you deal with people that want to be your friends no i would if i were you i would never even see coach i would fly a plane that didn't
Starting point is 00:18:37 have coach that's why i've never had an allowance before because i've always kind of been mindful with money and just because you have you don't have to go overboard that's true very smart how do you deal with people who want to be your friends so that you will you know oh we're going shopping don't worry i'll buy these shoes for you like how do you deal with them because there's there's people like that the hanger honors i feel like it's weird i feel like people know that i'm not really down with that okay like as you shouldn't be yeah i think that when you're one of those people were travels like in the hanger on circle like people know this person will pay for this i you know i don't think that i'm cheap but i kind of am mindful of my money like i said
Starting point is 00:19:11 i'm you know and i think that when people see that i personally don't just throw money around for myself even they don't expect me to throw money around for them so if we went out to dinner at Sugarfish. And we were like, oh, Dorothy, it was so nice that you came on the Lady Gang. Poor struggling actress Becca and Emmy losing Kelty. And we, like, all got a dinner. And then the check came.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Would you be like, bitches, where's your 20s? How does that work? I think I would see and gauge how it would go. And I don't know. I've never actually really been in that situation. Or maybe I would maybe pay and then just be like, okay, well, they just want me for Sugarfish and I would never talk to you again.
Starting point is 00:19:48 I'm just, like, really low. super low um it's very interesting okay so what is your um hollywood heartbreak so you've been now a reality uh television star four seasons in and you have all your companies that you're launching and you're in the trades and the magazines what has been has there been a no has there been something that's been really hard where you just thought oh maybe this hollywood world isn't for me I think that it's a lot of the people, I think, more. It's just, I don't know, sometimes I grew up in kind of a different world. And my parents, they did business.
Starting point is 00:20:25 I feel like the way that people handle business and the way that people treat entertainers and kind of try to, like, sometimes it's a company's job to keep you humble and make you feel like you're of less value than you really are. and that kind of bothers me and I am really, I'm someone that's like, I'm an Aquarius and I'm very like,
Starting point is 00:20:45 you know, this is right or this is wrong and sometimes I, I'm an Aquarius too and I just have my biggest pet peeve is people who break the rules. I'm very black and white. When people break the rules,
Starting point is 00:20:53 stuff like that, I'm very black and white. This is wrong, this is right and so sometimes I just feel like people are always trying to like, wrong you or get something from you
Starting point is 00:21:02 and I think that that is kind of the hardest thing, was the hardest thing for me to deal with. What's been the ish moment? What's the moment, and I cannot wait to hear this is your moment where you thought
Starting point is 00:21:11 I have made it, I am it I am this, this, this I'm the shiz I don't know, I think that when I'm trying to think I think that Rihanna told someone that she watches our show and I was like okay so I was like oh she
Starting point is 00:21:27 watches our show it wasn't being a bridesmaid at Morgan's wedding that I made it I made it in our friendship it you made it you made it um we want to talk about the wedding so when morgan was here she told us she was going to wear a pantsuit she didn't wear a pantsuit i know i thought she was going i thought i really wanted her to yeah i can't believe she told you guys she told me she
Starting point is 00:21:49 didn't tell anyone and here she is on like was she we really we did we were like what's it going to be and she was having a hard time about being too bridal so we want to get your take well how did it all go what do you think well she did mention to me that she was going to be wearing a pants that she was considering wearing a pants and i kind of told her you know morgan this is like the one day like you should be in a dress or i actually said does brendan know you know how is he how would he feel and i think that she ended up coming in a dress did you see pictures i don't want to reveal anything yeah so it was beautiful and i think that was very her and she you know basically was made by her you know she designed a lot of it with them and so
Starting point is 00:22:26 it was i feel like it was very her and was very modern it was but it was still traditional at the same time it was bridal we we always say that there's nothing worse in the world than being a bridesmaid now of course we there are times where it's your best friend and you're like this is so great but it is hard to be a bridesmaid especially around our age when everyone's getting married and everyone wants to be the bridesmaid you're trying anyway how was it being a bridesmaid did you like your dress were there times where you're like get me out of here i was actually the only one that liked my dress i think the other bridesmaids kind of didn't really like it they didn't think it was flattering on them but i liked it and i thought that that dress was comfortable and it was a
Starting point is 00:23:01 dream come true situation for me i didn't want to wear anything with a peplum or like a fixer you know what i mean yeah polyester tube no so that so i like like like you know when they're like sweetheart cut like yeah um yeah so i loved it but the only you know like you see on the shows like sometimes there are so many bridesmaids so i feel like people think oh well why doesn't this person do it why doesn't this person do it and you like everyone kind of feels like everyone else will pick up the slack and it usually all kind of goes on to one person i feel like a lot of that kind of was me especially like you saw on the show i was like why am i here picking out linens when your mom and zara are here and you have other bridesmaids yeah yeah so i think that
Starting point is 00:23:43 it's but i think that everyone gets a hall pass during that time like i don't hold i obviously like we don't talk about it i don't care anymore but you know she was stressed out and she wanted to i think that for bride it's really important for them to feel like because it's the biggest day of their life and they want it to be the biggest day of everyone's life too right and and even if you don't feel that way you have to make them feel you have to make that that's the advice of a good friend because it's like you know it's it's not the biggest day of my life it's the biggest day of your life but like you just need to validate them but like people with a brain or like a little self-awareness should know that no i mean i don't know if they get a
Starting point is 00:24:19 past you're not there yet because people when is your wedding next year next year okay so it's too early for you to but i've been with too many brides where i'm literally like you're upset that this person can't make it to your to your wedding because they're shooting like a movie for $250,000 like you're really upset that they said no to that that they said yes to that movie to not be it's like there's times where people it's so delusional yeah i mean a little bit of like this is my day but like it gets a little out of hand i will say that sometimes people people lose their minds and you'll have them we don't know what your topic will be that you're gonna lose your mind over will it be dress will it be family will it be the trap like whatever i can guarantee
Starting point is 00:25:00 it's not gonna be over people not treating it as important like as i feel like you could probably give a shit for most people coming yeah i don't care if you don't want to be there just don't come okay um there was my tangent there you go so i saw that you had posted this photo of you writing on the mirror fab you that'd be luck this is your champagne then i found out i thought it was just your life motto that is my life motto my champagne is called rich and bubbly okay okay so so break this down for me just like me that's my slogan is it is your champagne expensive no i like to do everything on affordable price so i so all of our fans and our viewers are good i love that it's $50.
Starting point is 00:25:40 I mean, it's not Corbel, but come on. That's true. It's mid. Yeah, it's a mid-range. It's a mid-range. And you get to keep the bottle. It's a Swarovski encrusted bottle. Oh, cute.
Starting point is 00:25:49 With my logo and everything. So it's a pink bottle. It's really cute. Cute. So you can keep it on a mantel and put flowers in it. Yeah, so that's why you didn't want the, oh, snap. I understand. I know I would have brought some.
Starting point is 00:25:59 So what's the mirror message? Because I always like to write things on my mirror and the girls make fun of me. What's your personal life mantra? Is it Fabulux? Is that like your... that's just kind of like my life like fluffy it's something it was because i feel like everyone was using fabulous a lot that i came up with this when i was like 18 and even sassier i feel like i've really evened out and mellowed out a little bit i was way sassier and more 18 and i was like
Starting point is 00:26:22 getting so annoyed because like everyone kept saying fabulous fabulous but that's not really fabulous like a hamburger yeah fabulous but like it's not luxurious you know what i mean like fabulous it needs to be like a rich element yes you know so then you're at harvey's that's why i combined fabulous and luxury so something is luxurious and fabulous it's fabulux i love that like the higher level of something that i'll probably never experience what in your life would be fabulux oh i don't know i don't know probably nothing like you can be like having rosé by the pool fabulux like it needs a little luxury item like oh a white truffle burger is fabulous fabulous i like it i'm gonna start thinking of things now like a rose gold nail art
Starting point is 00:27:12 yeah yeah if it's if dorothy approves yes yeah dorothy said yes i'm so obsessed with you okay um so we're gonna play uh round two of rich or ditch yes so this is my one of our favorite games so rich is like fabulous and rich interchangeable okay ditch is it is not approved by dorothy no stamp like dorothy denied d nor dorothy with a you know a fancy bag and a private jet says you can't have it you can't have it okay it's not good enough for us and we have to really use her advice okay everyone okay all right so here we go rich or ditch the bachelorette i mean ditch what rich ditch i don't watch it so i'm gonna say ditch thank god i watch it everyone loves it i don't watch it it's the best show in the world i feel
Starting point is 00:28:04 like it's just weird how do you date that many people at the same time like i don't know it makes no sense i've been on a show for four years i hate even when it's my boyfriend i will i do not like kissing anyone on tv i don't know how you can just like kiss a million people in one night and like some of them have to be bad kissers it's it's weird it's also there's something like when it's not a movie kiss that's like pre-planned with angles like it's like very aggressive oh i I hate watching him kiss. It's gross. It's so gross.
Starting point is 00:28:30 But I love it. It's my favorite. Kelsey, you said rich? I say rich. I think it's a guilty pleasure. I don't think it's fabulux. I do. But I think it's rich.
Starting point is 00:28:39 But you'll accept it. I'll accept it. Okay. Jenna Malone, who is on Hunger Games, she had a baby last week, and she named her baby Ode Mountain. Rich or ditch on the baby name? Is that one word name? Ode Mountain something.
Starting point is 00:28:53 So Mountain's the middle name? Ode. Ode. Ode. Ode. Next up on the Forbes billionaire list, Ode Mountain. Ditch.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Ditch. Ditch, I hate it. That's like too much. Ode Mountain. Get over yourself. Do you have a baby name? No. Do you?
Starting point is 00:29:12 I don't know. No. It changes. It changes, yeah. Okay. One-piece swimsuits, rich or ditch? Rich. Rich.
Starting point is 00:29:22 I love a one-piece. Ditch on me because my body's too long. and i just show off that and i get a vaginal wedge i get a camps okay overalls richard itch rich oh my god i wish there was a jib on your face i know i make the craziest facial expression you're like a little cartoon character no people like i think they're like we can always like see you think yeah i definitely saw i saw the wheels turning okay but it's bad for photos it's like in any photo i'm always like my face too much like i was just thinking um so wait rich or ditch overall should i say uh rich rich okay done properly rich yeah it has to
Starting point is 00:30:02 be the right kind of overall i like them too rich um gwen and blake together rich or ditch ditch i don't know how i feel about that is it real i think it's just annoying it's real for sure i say ditch because it's like okay we get it these old people are together like they left their spouses is i'm so over you i know the way that that came about your families i don't know if that's i don't want to like plaster out all the over the media not that i'm like against divorce but like i feel like i'm happy for them but i don't want to see it so much it's so much they're creepily public about it and usually like when you're that famous aren't just supposed to be so private like jay-z and beyonce yeah it's so much cooler to do that well and also they yeah they didn't do that with
Starting point is 00:30:45 their previous relationships it's weird yeah i guess though they're on a tv show together it was maybe you have to be it was rich until they did the country duet and then i had to oh yeah that was the breaking point gross yeah okay rich or ditch um white on white on white everything clothing love everything ensemble i love white i love the color white me too me too rich rich and white is rich because that's just not getting dirty yeah you don't even have yeah it's like if you have a white couch crisp white what's the what's the most rich place you've ever been and what did it look like inside was it white what was the most rich place i've ever been like the most luxurious like what is the most fabulux place like hotel you've ever stayed or like
Starting point is 00:31:30 place you've ever visited well i or is it your own house i'm trying to my room some other things i don't want to put people on blast but i am friends with someone that is part of a royal family and i have been to their home where's their home their home well then i can't tell you dubai dubai dubai um and they have a private island and stuff like that oh i did a program with him actually for um after school it was a banking program and so we were friends and i was visiting um with my parents and then i met up with him he said yeah just come over to my house and then but when your house pop on by so was the white shag carpet not shag carpet i don't really remember that there was a lot of white and a lot of like marble and stone yeah you can tell one of my girlfriends who
Starting point is 00:32:17 has a little bit more money her baby room has white carpet and i was like that's when you know you're rich because when that carpet gets pooped on you just pull it you're not the one cleaning it either no okay um rich or ditch black china having rob's baby ditch i don't really know enough about it to give a i feel like it's so obvious what that she's just trying to ditch right i don't know i feel like like duh we knew that was gonna happen right is she just trying to like latch on to the kardashian she's gonna change her name definitely rich for her yeah she's definitely gonna be rich rich for her step it up get your life support becoming a millionaire by insertion no or marriage no no i hate when people there's this thing now where a lot of girls are
Starting point is 00:33:07 like oh my god my friend she married this billionaire so she's just like you you guys best friends i'm like she's not like me but she didn't get raised this way girl yeah you're like this is in my blood it is that'd be a lot but also it also bothers me that people think that oh i'm gonna get along with someone just because they have money but also that's old money new money yeah there's no new friends no new money no new friends no new money you said it that's your meme oh god that's amazing i'm so proud of myself where's that yellow font um okay um eyebrow extensions richard itch i've been hearing about these and i would want them but i just feel like they don't make sense to me in my head how do they stay on i don't think they do stay on i think
Starting point is 00:33:49 they stay on for like i feel like it's like an it's like a don't they get heavy and droop i don't know all i know is i read about i eyebrow wait eyelash extensions I take your little brow and they put those same eyelashes on your brow. I read about eyebrow transplant, which is what I want to get. Oh, I heard about that. And they take it off your head and put it into your eyebrow. But the hair follicles are different, I heard. So it probably grows the wrong way.
Starting point is 00:34:15 What if it's like a pube and it grows like a curly? I just think they don't stop growing. You have to trim them. Because they just grow a lot. Well, I'm all about a thick brow and whatever you have to do. So that's rich. I support it. I do a pencil, a powder, a lot.
Starting point is 00:34:29 I feel like if you're getting an eyebrow extension, you might want to start, like, volunteering at a soup kitchen, because you have a lot of time on your hands. Too much money. Okay. Rich or ditch tattooed makeup? Ditch. It always ends up changing colors. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Yeah, the eyebrow tattoos. There's this girl that does, like, a lip in Studio City that looks amazing. I know a girl who does a lip. I know a girl who does a lip. But do you always want to wear the same lip color? Yeah, it's weird. Is it a lip liner? It's like a line of her natural...
Starting point is 00:34:55 Yeah. But long. because it like it like it's like you know on facetune how you can use the the details and details just enhances like a feature it's like doing a permanent detail that's what details yeah like if you do your eyelashes it'll give you know that yeah i i try to not do that that much the face what do you do what do you use it for the most i only do it if it's like something is like an and that's not accurate to real life you know sometimes like there's like your arm looks much bigger because it was a weird pose like maybe that or like some clever cropping but i try to not
Starting point is 00:35:33 do it too much as you don't want to look that that different well people know what you look like there's no facetune i'm convinced that there's going to be some genius that goes through every celebrity's picture and points out every like original version that's a great idea they did that to the kardashians like a bunch of times yeah it's gonna happen they did it to beyonce beyonce even facetuned yeah that really feels everybody humanized her and she did not do it well either i know it's like don't you don't you have somebody hired to do that no but some people have someone hired to do it yeah yeah yeah well they didn't do it yeah no i think someone is hired to pretty much do anything that is so true okay hang on two seconds because when we come back
Starting point is 00:36:17 um we have a very very sexy like a lady question you're listening to the lady gang okay you guys it's time for our like a lady question dorothy wang is here and she's really a fabulux lady so she's gonna have a good answer to this okay uh the question of the week is have you ever made out with a girl who wants to go first i'll go first okay i think it was in high school and it wasn't like a full makeout it was like you know when you're like in high school and you're like there's a boy that you like whatever so my friend and i kind of kissed like with the tongue no no i don't think it was there's no tongue but i feel like it was like a kiss for it was central yeah where did you put your hands
Starting point is 00:37:02 oh that makes all the difference because it's like are you holding each other's shoulders i don't think there was any hand touching i think it was like uh then that was it just yeah i'm really honestly when you leaned into like act that motion i was like i could kiss you you're hot i was like okay moving on kathy what's your answer no i've never kissed a girl you haven't really like i should have i missed out now you still probably can't i'm sure your husband would not care yeah he just want to see it okay i don't know i missed out because there was a time when i was like in my early 20s living in new york and i was dancing on the nba teams and like we would go to the clubs and like do that like jay-z when jay-z was like big and they were
Starting point is 00:37:41 always playing jay-z and then like anyway and i was like sometimes i would get like you were a Dancer? Yeah. Oh, a cheerleader. Oh, wow. And I would get, like, I would get that, um, can't you tell by my, like, clearly, like, massive boobs. Like a cheerleader dancer.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Yeah, cheerleader dancer. I was a cheerleader in high school. You were? Mm-hmm. Me too. But you were making out with girls too, and I just, I feel like I missed out. You know, you need. Have you?
Starting point is 00:38:02 Uh, yes. It's over. I feel like, yeah, I feel like there was a time for it. It's over. It's over. It's gone. Like, the high school slutty date, you know? Oh, it's like Leigh-Anne Rimes.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Did you just see that? where she was like caught, they took photos of her like making out with some redhead in front of Eddie. With a redheaded woman? That's really trashy.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Yeah. I think when you're in your 30s, unless it's like your MO to be with women. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I feel like the time
Starting point is 00:38:25 for experimentation might be over. Especially if you're married. Yeah. Or like if you're gonna do it and you're married, like do it in like a, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:32 A fun threesome way. Yeah. Like in private or like really do it. I don't like my ass enough. It's too dimply with cellulite to ever be able to have a threesome
Starting point is 00:38:40 because if that, I'd have to hand-pick the ass that was also going to be with my husband. It would have to be worse. It would have to be worse. Yeah. Oh, my God. And then he'd be like, I don't feel like doing this anymore. You're insane.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Who'd you kiss, Jack? I don't know. Like, when I was in college and we were getting wasted, and I think playing King's Cup, it was, like, one of the rules on King's Cup that you had to, like, kiss a girl or something. I don't know. It was one of those stupid things. Did you kiss a girl and like it? No, I did not.
Starting point is 00:39:02 But it was, like, everybody thought it. Yeah. I made out with a few girls. What? Yeah. just but it's just a stupid drunken fun time fun time what was your type it was my friends oh at the time it wasn't like i was going out and like finding some random hot girl it was just like oh you guys kiss we're like okay we're so drunk whatever
Starting point is 00:39:22 you're everyone's dream becca definitely has for sure i my friend and i practiced kissing each other before we ever kissed a boy really yeah people do that yeah i think some people would yeah yeah she got pregnant when we were 16 oh from you just kidding when were you when were you doing the kissy thing uh you were like seventh grade seven like seventh grade i don't know that's early yeah but i know that i'm not a lesbian because i did question it for a while i was kind of like i didn't have any issue like making out with my friend in seventh grade and then i was like am i a lesbian and then i thought about like going down on a girl yeah that's when you know that's when you know that's how you know make out with a girl forever like show me the hottest girl
Starting point is 00:40:03 in the whole world i still don't want to put no no no all right well i think that's actually the test it is right true truly all right well when we come back dorothy can you stick around and help us all figure out our lives since you've really done a good job yes um for us the lady gang so hang on dorothy's gonna teach us all how to be fabulux now back to the lady gang all right before we start ask the lady gang if you guys want to go to jackvanek.com you can get 20 off your order with code lady gang and i brought you little presents oh i love they're so rich that's funny so okay so for this section of our podcast you're going to help answer our listeners questions because they have some really big issues and they need our help oh okay and we trust you
Starting point is 00:40:49 now troubled women they are they are very troubled our first question comes from claire w and she was saying i was wondering what your go-to outfit is when you don't know what to wear with crazy days in long work it's hard to always have a new outfit to go out in what are some basics that could transform into many different outfits love you she ended it with love you love you love you love you too i actually really want you to answer this too because i don't know i've been having a trouble with this too and what she says to go out with like to go out in at night like day to night like this was my i didn't know what to wear today outfit i like the denim denim on denim and like a shirt and then you can either tuck in the shirt you can wear a sneaker or you can wear
Starting point is 00:41:31 like a pump or a sandal or keep the pump and the sandals in the car i feel like the denim right now especially with the summer coming up it's very on trend and it's some for some reason it's people it looks a bit more dressed up yeah it really is and it's so comfortable and it yeah and you can just you know have a other pair of shoes in the car i feel like if you have a good jean that can be worn with a heel and then a sneaker then that's a good kind of like switch i always feel like i don't know what to wear as like every day because at night like i can get my heel and my cute dress with a leather and a clutch but it's like and then i can be in my sweat pant like that's how i am the challenge is the middle the mid the challenge there is the shoe this has been
Starting point is 00:42:11 like the journey of my adult life has been finding the right everyday shoe where you aren't looking like a soccer mom and you're also not looking like that idiot walking around in six inch heels yes so it's like it's tricky but i think that i've found that for summertime just like a really simple like slide right now is great like a tan like something rich leather fabulux and then maybe like a boyfriend jean and then maybe a great like button down or like a something crisp and because the boyfriend jean is so like rugged kind of and then you have to have to do like the dress your thing up top and then you can do the heel a crisp blouse goes a long way yeah i have like a black silk blouse that i have probably worn more than anything else in my closet because it's like that
Starting point is 00:43:02 thing i put on when i'm like i don't know what i'm wearing i don't know what to wear yeah the daytime casual is hard it's also hard nighttime you're getting ready you're getting dressed up yeah you're going somewhere yeah and but like when you're going around some mac yeah i don't want to be in a heel teetering around so it really is it's a struggle and you want to have the elongation of your legs in a heel but you don't want to be walking in a heel all day i know yeah and a wedge is just as uncomfortable i know it is the here is the shoe and find me a wedge that i'll approve of because i guarantee you it's hard i cannot stand also i always feel like i'm not dressed up when i wear a flat i don't like the idea of a flat and i think i look kind of cheeky
Starting point is 00:43:39 and when other people are flats i'm like oh great like right now i'm looking i'm like i could wear that outfit. It'd be so cute. But then I would put it on and I'd feel underdone. I feel frumpy. I feel like everyone can wear the outfit that I'm wearing. What shoe are you wearing? I'm wearing a Chanel shirt. But also it's the hair and makeup. As long as you're in the hair and makeup.
Starting point is 00:43:56 If the hair is done, the makeup, I was like, am I going to do it? Am I going to not? I didn't want to be too over. But then I was going out tonight, so then I ended up doing my makeup. You might as well just do it. Yeah, you look amazing. You really do. That highlighter is like life. No, I'm so bad at it. I used to be able to, but now I just like the professionals are better. I'm just going to leave it to them.
Starting point is 00:44:11 There's just so much. What's your lip color right now, though? It is from MAC, and oh my gosh, Sharon told me it is, oh, what is it called? Like Yes Sexy or something like that. It's perfect. It looks so good. She just blended it, yeah. It's a perfect nude.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Yeah. Oh my gosh, shout out to Sharon. Thanks, Sharon. Shout out to Sharon. Okay. Okay, our next question comes from Jessica B. on email, and she says, how do you deal with a bad day at work that doesn't involve stuffing your face when you get home or buying a bunch of crap that you don't really need?
Starting point is 00:44:37 I feel like I'm caught in the middle of a bunch of really bad days lately, and my go-to bad day cures are junk food and shopping my waistline and credit card can only take so much damage i feel you sister amen that's tough because i feel like when things go wrong in life you have your comforts that you run to but your comforts end up making you feel even worse in a few days and i feel like there's nothing worse than being sad on the inside and then feeling bloated and puffy from all the stuff that you yeah ate also so maybe i would say working out i was just gonna say that or just doing something with your friends like maybe if she's having problems it's with her friends I don't know just getting me going on a hike just like clearing your head
Starting point is 00:45:14 doing fun things I think working out is the number one cure like anything and then you can stuff your face afterwards because you worked out and you won't get fat also take the money that you were doing on your shopping and like put it towards like a really great class like if you love spinning but it's pricey and you don't want to like have to do that all the time like just justify it and be like I'm spending money however it's on something that's good for me and It's going to make me happy. Like, treat yourself to wellness. That's true.
Starting point is 00:45:41 You know what? A nice face mask and a cup of tea at night can help me a lot. The little pleasures. Like, the little baths. Sometimes I'm stressed, I'll take a bath. Yeah. It's just those, like, little, little things. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:51 But I also think that, you know, with the eating, it's just so hard because we are emotional. And it's, like, our hormones more than, like, our actual stomachs. And I, for my rule, is, like, I try not to keep junk in the house. Oh, yeah. So, like, when I come home and I'm really emotional, I've had this bad day, I'm like, oh, carrots and hummus. Like, that's my choice, you know, because there's not, like, junk in my house. And then it's a big thing to try to, like, order food and you're thinking about it and
Starting point is 00:46:16 then you're getting delivery. When you order it, it takes it to a different level. Yeah. Like, how I ordered a pie at 10 p.m. last night. Ooh, pie? From Postmates. They have these little tiny pies at this place, Atticus, on Beverly, and they're, like, personal pies.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Oh, my God. That sounds amazing. I regretted it the instant, not because it wasn't delicious, but I finished that and And I was like, just today, I read an article that said eating after 8 p.m. can add two inches to your waistline. And I'm like, oh, I didn't eat dinner past 8. I made sure to eat at, like, 7. But does a pie at 10 p.m. count? Like, you fatty.
Starting point is 00:46:48 But the thing is that I go to sleep at, like, 2 or 1. If you eat early at 6 or 7, you're going to be so hungry by the time. No, that's true. Sometimes before, if at, like, 10, sometimes I'll have, like, some nuts or almonds. but I was going to go back to that and say she should maybe go to like a blow dry bar a blow out honestly a $30 blow out can change everything
Starting point is 00:47:07 also maybe eat a really healthy lunch so you're not starving when you come home and just emotionally eating too might help just really life is hard life is hard it's better with a blow out life is better with a blow out oh yeah write that down
Starting point is 00:47:23 that's incredible our last question comes from Gray on email she says so my boyfriend just broke up with me and i feel like someone is squeezing my stomach and i'm going to throw up i did not see it coming i thought everything was great and then he dropped a bomb about how he was bored and unhappy in the relationship he said he wanted to date other women and that sex was very important to him and ours was boring he also told me that sometimes he still found me attractive but not always so basically i feel totally fugly right now how do i get over it
Starting point is 00:47:52 Why did he have to say so much? I mean, you could have just broken up with her. Why did you have to take it to the... She probably dug, because you're always like, why, why, tell me. Yeah, you're right. She probably did. And guys are so dumb. They don't realize that you don't do that.
Starting point is 00:48:08 Yeah. Well, if it makes you feel any better, just to give you a dose of reality, I don't think that you're ever going to be with someone who's always going to find you super attractive. 100%. And there's nothing wrong with that, and it shouldn't make you feel fugly. I mean, I mean, this is a little bit of tough love, but like, don't let that the reality of a relationship, unfortunately dictate the way you feel about yourself. Um, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:48:33 I mean, also, I mean, you'll find a guy that does not, um, he may have to say those things. Like, yeah, he's going to keep that on the inside. This guy's obviously a big doofus because he doesn't know how to treat women correctly. And I also think in your next relationship, you're going to learn a lot about communication and a real love and a real relationship he would be able to come to you or you'd be able to come to him and be like are we good let's check in like how are you feeling yeah and honestly if he thinks the sex is boring then maybe he needs to woo you a little because if your sex is boring it's there's two takes two to tango so you know set the mood turn the lights off light the candles
Starting point is 00:49:10 rub her back give her a massage like i mean all of those things and if you're not communicating then how is she supposed to know? Right. Exactly. Sex is different for everybody. Or he could be now having sex with like animals. Like it's not your fault.
Starting point is 00:49:22 Also, yes. You never know what kind of desires he has. I mean boring sex to him could be like the hottest night of your life. So it's like maybe you just weren't
Starting point is 00:49:30 sexually compatible. It doesn't mean that you're boring but do you stay in missionary, girl? Do you not give a blowjob? I mean, I don't know. Take a look in the mirror. Back at it again. No, but I do feel like
Starting point is 00:49:39 everything does happen for a reason and every time I go through a breakup I think like my life is over and I'm like I will never get over it and you always end up getting over it
Starting point is 00:49:47 and you always end up usually with someone better than the last. How's your boyfriend? I don't have one. Are you looking? Not really. It's about to be summer.
Starting point is 00:49:56 I feel like the beginning of summer is always fun and by the end of summer I have a boyfriend. You're like, no. Like when everyone wants to settle.
Starting point is 00:50:05 For cuffing season you need a boyfriend when it's cold. It's summer. It's so fun. Yeah, no. I feel like summer is like June is like the season
Starting point is 00:50:12 with the month of the highest potential of things that are going to happen. My idea of being single and having to wear a bathing suit everywhere tortures me. I could never.
Starting point is 00:50:19 Dorothy's like, it's summer. It's so fun. She's going to be on the yacht. I know. It's true. It's not like, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:50:25 It's not like she can't get a boyfriend right now. She can walk out of here with a boyfriend. I like that you're being choosy and you're like, I don't want a boyfriend right now. I'm very choosy.
Starting point is 00:50:32 I would rather wait for the right person than just date. I've never been that girl that always needed a boyfriend and just wants to tote someone around. I get annoyed when there's,
Starting point is 00:50:40 Unless I really like you, I get annoyed when people are around me too much. I feel that. This has been so fun. This has been fabulous.
