Well, what is this?
Welcome to the Lady Gang.
That's amazing. Say that again.
The Lady Gang.
Things are about to change around here.
Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse,
Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek.
Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the Lady Gang.
I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight.
What's up, what's up, what's up?
Hello.
This is a very exciting episode.
Guys, I don't want to brag or anything,
but Lady Gang is on a rizzity roll. We're on a roll, babe. We're on a roll. We have become
the place to go. We're the place. Wow. The place to be. It's just bookings back to back,
back to back. Boom, boom, boom. It's like, it's because nobody has to come to us. I know.
Everybody in their living rooms. It's so true. I feel like we're going to have to keep doing it
this way. However, I feel like it's a blessing because we've gotten some real great people,
like real great that I know would not have driven to CBS Radford. Absolutely not. Gone up 85
parking levels. I don't miss that. A quarter of a mile. It's so true. So it was a pain in the ass
for sure. Yeah, for sure. But now we've got all the peeps. I'm so excited. And we're here,
you know, today, I know that so many of our American listeners will be waiting in line to
vote and we are keeping you company. Stay in line, wear your mask, listen to as many lady
gangs as it takes before you can vote. And if you voted in mail-in, that's just so exciting.
And we knew it was going to be a really pretty crazy emotional day. And so we wanted to just
bring you some joy on the podcast and we're going to do that today. Yeah. Well, let's dive in.
it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no who wants to kick it off i'll go my good week
is that my nail salon has opened for outdoor hallelujah manicures and i got my first real
manicure in eight months and it is a game changer now i know i've talked about the fact that i picked
my cuticles as an anxious habit and it has gotten so bad during quarantine. And the only way that I
don't have mangled bleeding nail beds is a manicure. So it was honestly a big high, a big
high of the past nine months. I saw an outdoor nail salon by my house. That's doing them on like
the little, they've set up tables on the street. And I was like, I'm literally going to go today.
Like I really feel it in my soul that it's time, but I also am like so proud of myself for saving
so much money. And every time I look at my nails, I'm sad. So it's like, I don't know. This is like
a balance. My manicure is the thing that I will always pay for. What I've learned I'm not going
to ever pay for again is a spray tan. Cause I can do that myself for 5 cents. Yeah. And it looks
like garbage. Well, they all look like garbage, but I'd rather have the garbage one that I didn't
pay for. That's the thing. It's like, it's like poop or turds. What color do you want to be this
but which one are you paying $80 for? You know, you just do free turns. Yeah. Free turns. That's,
that's what I like. Okay. My bad week. And it's a bad week for me and Becca is that Larry David
is off the market. Got married. What the fuck? It wasn't to me. Who did he marry?
So it's this, I forget her name. I think her name is Mary something, but she was a producer on who
is America, the Sasha Baron Cohen work of art. And I guess she's really good friends with him. So
i have my stamp of approval on her because she's obviously funny and amazing if she's friends with
all of that crew um i'm looking at the photos she just wow i'm like becca way to be distracted
no and honestly she looks like an older version of me or becca like it could have been us
i was definitely say that just a basic blonde bitch that's all he wanted all this time we've
been right here god damn it we've been right here oh my god he's 73 wow holy moly just think of the
balls still got it still doesn't say her age how old is she i don't know she looks like she's like
50 oh my god anyway i'm so jealous but i approve it's like it works for him it's not like he's
like a creepy old guy that like married some young girl. So I like it. That's true. God damn it.
Okay. Mazel tov, Larry. Okay. Good week. I was recently driving in LA and I saw one of the buses,
like the LA city buses. And sometimes the buses are super cunty and there's like not really a way
to describe it. And I'm not sure who controls like the little like 1990s flashing front sign.
that's like route 401 or whatever it says. But this one, this bus was driving down, um, Santa
Monica and it said mass required. And it like was flashing. And I was like, yeah, don't get on the
bus without your mask. I'm going to have your mask. And then it flashed mascara required. Oh
my God. Was it like an ad for L'Oreal or something? No, it was literally like the little
orange light bulbs that someone had to program. Someone was being cunty and like laughing. And
it's so true though. Like if there's ever been one makeup necessity during mask times, it's like,
we're not paying to fill our lips anymore. Why did I get a veneers? Like, I don't need a mouth.
All I need is lashes. I don't need teeth. Lashes are, you know, what, what is going to happen?
It's the new must have accessory. I thought that was really cute. And then speaking of mouths,
My bad week is that um, it's time for me to get new teeth
Oh, yeah
I'm having so much trauma about it. I literally stayed up in bed. Chris is like so busy
And he's like I just don't have enough time today. I talked for two hours about how traumatized I am
I have had mouth and teeth issues since I was a young girl. My teeth didn't grow in
I didn't have enough room in my mouth. I had sizers and braces like all these different things and then
I got my first set of veneers when I was 18
mean. And then they only lasted six years and started crumbling. And then I had to get them
done again. And I remember I got them done in my like last few months of dating Ryan Ross and I got
them done. And I went to go see him and he was like, you look, I can't remember what the insult
was, but it's something like really fucking mean where I was like, what do you think? Cause like
you have a new set of teeth. Right. And he's like, you look insane, but it was like way worse. And
he was so mean. And I cried and I was like, why am I dating this guy? But anyway, I want to break
his legs. Anyway. Um, and then, and then like they still crumble cause my teeth underneath
are not strong, like my bones poof. So like I'm on my fourth front tooth. And so basically what's
going to have to happen is they're going to have to take out all my top teeth, which are now like
little daggers and they're going to have to give me a whole new set. And then this is like a two
week process and you have to be awake because you have to like be able to close your mouth to show
that you can like close your mouth. So I want to be knocked out. I'm trying to find a doctor right
now. And like literally all I do on Instagram is like look at veneer technicians and the porcelain
guys who make the teeth. I'm like, should I go with Dr. Sands? Do I go with Dr. Appa? Like I
like Dr. Appa's veneers better, but Dr. Sands does the Kardashians. And I'm like paying full
price for this shit. I do not want a discount. I want to be full crazy. How much is a good pair
of veneers? It's so expensive. Is it like two grand a tooth or something? It's like 40 grand,
isn't it? I think, I think that in Canada, when I got them done before it was like $1,200 a tooth,
which is insane. And I have six. So it was like 10 grand. I can imagine that Dr. Sands,
the Kardashian doctor is not doing veneers for 10 grand. Like it's probably going to be,
I'm going to have to get one of those care credit cards and pay it off for the next 10 years.
But it's like, what if I get another bad set of veneers? Like, I know that my veneers are great
and they're like, really, I have like, they're big and they're chunky. And like, I know that
they're not a great set of teeth if you're gonna have fake teeth they should be lovely but like
remember when hillary duff got veneers and they were bad and then she'd get another set like you
just never know what the you're gonna get i'm so terrified i feel like chris right now well i i
have one request through this whole thing i couldn't stop thinking about it when you do do
the switcheroo can you please text us a picture of your little dagger teeth no i'm gonna hope to
be asleep. I have a picture of when I knocked out my tooth and I have just one dagger. I remember
that. What if your daggers like get all fucked up and there's no dagger left? Will they have to do
an implant? Yes. So that's the problem with my front left tooth. I mean, not to get too serious
here, but now that you've asked. So what happens is like in the nineties, when you were getting
veneers is, you know, it's like getting a boob job in the eighties or nineties. Like they've,
it's just come so far, you know? So when they first started doing veneers, they would shave
your tooth down to like a little dagger. Now they don't even do that. They just like literally smoke
a little bit off the front and then put the plaster on. So your whole tooth and the like
strength of your tooth is there. I have little daggers and they've now are going to be on their
third shave. So they're tiny. They're going to break the off. And then it's like, I've been so
lucky the last four years I haven't broken a tooth. So I feel like we're at a good place.
And now they're going to like give me new ones and they're probably going to break off. And it's
just like, you just need propofol. I know. I need drugs. Yeah. There's gotta be a doctor who will
be willing to do that for you. Cause that is really torturous. Yeah. I texted Tammy at Dr.
Diamonds and I was like, who's, who do I go for teeth? Who's the diamond of teeth? Oh my God.
And she, or I could just drug you just before you go in. I could just drug you with some of
my things that I have at home. Just take a magic mushroom. I'm really, I need to be out. Like I
can't feel the drill. I can't like, I just, okay. Yeah. This is like the words of Cardi B out like
a light. Yeah. Doesn't she say that in WAP? I don't know. I think she did. Okay. Um, my good
week is that I have been doing this thing since it's an election episode. I have been phone banking
with Tracy from the stacks. She has this whole thing called hashtag the stacks calling. It's
very cute. And I was so scared. Like I'll walk into rooms and audition and like sing acapella
and like do shameless things that are super embarrassing. But the thought of like randomly
calling up someone, a civilian and asking them if they're registered to vote was traumatizing,
not traumatizing. The thought of it was traumatizing. So I was like, okay,
I'm going to do this. I'm going to do this. Like I, this is my job is doing things that
are uncomfortable sometimes. So I'm happy to report that I loved doing it. It was so fun.
It was almost like, it was like prank calling adjacent because you can say your name is
anything. So you can be like, hi, this is Matilda and I am volunteering for next gen. And you're
like, are you registered to vote? And they're like, hi Matilda. And it's so fun. You're like
prank calling, but with a real purpose. So I called this little old lady, like you don't know
who you're getting. And it pops up on your computer, their name. And I'm like, hi, I think
her name was like Anna there. And this woman who is very, very old from the sound of her voice,
she's very old. And she starts and I'm like, are you registered to vote? And a lot of the time
they're just like, yes, stop calling. And they hang up or they're like, go yourself. How'd you
get my number or wrong number? Like there's some, you know, I'm not going to lie, but this woman
was like yes i'm registered to vote i i've never missed an election i voted in every election and
she's talking and talking and i'm like oh my gosh and i could tell she just wanted to chat too
yeah for people who live alone lonely yeah she wanted to have a convo yeah so i was like i talked
to her for a good like i don't know 10 minutes and she was a little bit loopy and she's like oh
by the way, I just woke up from a nap. I'm not drunk. Oh my God. Like sure. It was so cute.
It was so cute. I was like, honestly, whatever floats your boat, all I care about is that you
voted girlfriend. And she's like, I voted. Okay. Anyways. So that was very fun. Um, I would next
election. I would, I would say I really recommend it. It's super fun. Um, my bad week is I was at
the bank. And for some reason I'm with a bank that still has no, um, uh, like deposit through
your phone. What's it called? It's insane. This actually shocks me every time I have to write
you a check. It's shocking. They don't have it. And I'm like very annoyed. So I have to go and
I make my, my, um, deposits and I'm standing at the ATM and then there's the teller line where
people are in the car and I keep hearing honking and I'm standing outside for quite a while. Cause
you're six feet apart and there's only one teller and they're like being very safe, but I'm standing
there. And I'm like, I keep hearing honking. This is so annoying. And I look around and there's a
woman in her car waiting to get up to the teller window. She has a checks or something on her
steering wheel and she has a stamp. And so every time she's stamping a check, it honks her horn.
Oh my God. Like 30 times. And she never once realized that she was the person honking.
my god so shocking like how are you that oblivious it was so weird to me that she just continued or
she didn't care and i'm like that's a really big asshole like there's all that's a dick move
and also like no offense but like why are you not stamping at a table like stamping on a steering
wheel it's not the stamp it's not going to be clear it's not going to be equally pressed like
there's just so many problems with stamping on a round surface it was so weird i was like i've
Being back out in civilization is hard right now.

Now back to the Lady Gang.
All right, everybody.
Today is election day in the USA for our United States fans.
And our best guess is that if you're in the States, you're probably standing in line right
now or driving to the polls.
Good for you.
But in case you're pretending to take the day off work to vote because you secretly
voted during your mail-in ballot weeks ago, it is our guest today that helped you figure
out how to use that mail-in ballot during a hilarious, sadly informative skit on The
Daily Show with Trevor Noah, where she brings her quick wit, truly magical personality as
a correspondent.
She's been named by Rolling Stone as one of the 10 comedians you need to know.
And she's going to talk about her new podcast, her new movie coming out, where she gets her
confidence in all the weird things that happen to our bodies in our 30s. Please welcome to the
lady gang, Dulce Sloan. Hello, friends. Okay. We're obsessed. Ever since your team reached out
and they're like, do you want to have her on the podcast? We went down such a deep dive
of your comedy special. I mean, so everything about you is perfect. Welcome. Thank you for
bringing your juice to the world thank you so much how's your fame um well as i explained to
one of my friends who really is famous just you're famous i was like no no no when you walk into a
restaurant people get excited when i walk into a restaurant people ask how many so until people
start asking me um until people start asking for autographs instead of do i want to sit at a booth
or a table uh i am a no but i don't know if i'm like famous it's well you are it's a pretty good
that's a good judge though i like that yeah we're just like oh my god all these are supposed to
how many
i like this journey um for you and so you you set out to sort of do acting in theater and then you
got sideswung by people were like you're really funny you should do comedy and so I love that
like the backup plan has launched you and now the acting is coming into play true like a true
triple threat so let's first talk about the movie comes out uh November 13th in theaters and on
demand tell me about the audition process because Becca's an actress too and she tells us all her
horrible audition stories so I want to know the process of you getting them job um it's great
well the weird thing is is like I was like well for first like stand-up wasn't stand-up wasn't
the backup plan it was just something to try um because I was in between plays and I was in between
day jobs so I just had the time and I was like well you know I know I'm a good performer
let me see if I can be good at stand-up and so I ended up being good at it so then I just
added it to the list of things that I do as a performer because I did musical theater for a
long time um and then standard theater i've done children's theater so um i just added this into
my you know toolkit of being a performer basically is what i did uh for the film it was really
interesting because when the producers asked christian knew of my stand-up and told the
directed director paul layden about it and so my manager called me and was like hey you know there's
uh, the director wants to have, you know, just an influence, a phone call with you just to get
to know you. And, you know, they told me what the idea of the movie was. And then they sent me like
some of the script and I read it and they're like, I wonder if you're interested. And I was like,
yeah, I'd like to talk to him. And after I talked to him, they're like, well, they went off you the
roll. So this is, I didn't, there was no nine callbacks. I don't remember there being, this is
a booked and busy yes this is booked and busy as my mother made me a shirt me and two of my
friends Madison Shepard and Daniel Perez very funny um black comedians um Daniel's Afro Latina
and so my mom made all of us blessed uh less booked and busy t-shirts amazing and uh Daniel
was uh you know she's been wearing it and she's like girl I just feel like it's helping me I just
feel like that it's like i'm booking things now so you know every time i fly that's my shirt i'm
always flying and like whenever i fly i'm in a shirt that my mother made me but yeah i talked
to paul and i like them i offer it to you and i read the script and i was like okay and then like
and then it's filming in puerto rico and it was like december in new york they're like it's filming
next month in puerto rico and i was like bye yeah amazing you're like definitely i've never been to
Puerto Rico too. Those men are beautiful. I don't have to be in New York in January
and I'm in a movie. Girl, come on. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
Can we film this sequel at the same time? Well, I love that what you said, you were,
you were talking about having to move to New York for success. It's my favorite thing anyone
has ever said. I was forced to move to New York because of success. I love this. And so what do
you hate about new york city and like what do you love about new york do you love anything
i said in my whole half hour everything that i think all the reasons that i think the city is
trash um i uh recently just had a moment where i was just like oh if the lord ever sees fit to
bless me with the dragon i am burning this place down i'm burning it down i'm going from borough
to borough i'm burning it down start satin island because no one knows what to do with it the only
place i'll be standing is drita devanzo's house and the mural to big ang shout out to big ang
other than that flames done over get out of here um i just know there's so many reasons why it's
trash and um like what's interesting about that is after my half hour came out there were people
that would email me and be like they're angry where you say this about new york and i'm like
you own nothing yeah except the clothes on your back and the furniture in your apartment and that
might be on lease so get out of my internet address stop it stop it but when you turn a
city into your personality of course when someone says they don't like it it feels like a personal
attack but let me tell you if you meet somebody from LA and you say you don't like LA they go
oh neither do i what is your dream dream dream role on broadway um it's probably already slated
to go so you don't have to tell us but she's like i've actually written my own show actually
i am single-handedly bringing broadway back in 2021 you're welcome um even though i don't have
the vocal chops for it i would love to be uh elphaba and wicked actually i'd like to be galinda
but i'm a i'm second actually i can go second i'm contralto so it's second soprano to second alto
yeah but glinda shit is high yeah i can't sing glinda anything um i can sing half of her notes
but everybody knows popular yeah but my dream role of my life of my whole american christian life
yeah is to be a cleon on star trek and not these new cleons and discovery that could like the wharf
cleon like that is my dream to be walking around with remy hair but peanut butter on my forehead
slinging bat listen folks just killing the game titties popping that's my yes i love this for you
i love this this could happen i mean honestly come on come on paramount come on let's do it
i think they need you honestly i see it let me be warf's niece there's issues at the high council
i could be gowron's niece i could be you're literally actually speaking gibberish to me
right now you are the biggest dork i i just like this so much i love this so much there's something
else I want to talk to you about which was a part of your stand-up special which really drew me in
which was um your body freaking out when you're 30s we talk about this on lady gang all the time
it's like you're 20 and you're just going along in your life and you're like I'm good I'm good
I don't want the cheese burgers I'm fine like live my life and then all of a sudden 30s hit
and I love the part where you're like I will have a baby now there's a baby I need to have a baby
like this is so real and thank you for talking about this because i feel like there aren't that
many people explaining 30s there's like 50s and there's 20s but like what do we do in their 30s
it's a disaster yeah because like the bit you're referencing is like one of my friends like my big
from college she was really trying to tell me because she's like a year or two older than me
and she was like when you turn 30 your body's gonna freak out and i was like ah shut up lady
and then it's literally your biological clock goes from snooze to european techno
it's just done done have a baby it's awesome it'll love you wait a minute hold on calm down
and it was insane because i got this whole thing where i talk about it where it's basically
people think i make this stuff up i'm not making it up you wake up every morning your body's like
give me a baby you're like yo chill and i want kids but i so since i want kids it's intense for
me and i'm trying to think about like what about for the women who don't want to have children
right so you don't want to have children but it's still your body going
and it's crazy well speaking of men i do want to ask you about having trevor as a boss on the
daily show like what a an amazing accomplishment for you to be a part of that cast it's just game
changing um and he's i so rad i mean i i fell in love with him even more after i read his his
memoir and and um what's it just like on set and what's it like having him as a boss he is very
nice he's very supportive um he he's very he's very much in tune with each comment each
correspondence comedic sense um because most of us all of us except for desi lydic are stand-up
comics and but steady but desi's a comedic actress so even though she doesn't do stand-up
doesn't mean she doesn't work comedically because she's amazing um but all of us if we're working on
a piece he knows exactly what we need to hit he knows exactly what we're trying to say um when
we're talking about going out in the field you know sometimes different field producers will go
oh i want to work with this person and then trevor will hear the idea and go actually it might be
better if we kind of switch things around just you know one to convey the story in the best way but
two sometimes certain correspondents can help with how a story is being told so he is um very
supportive of us he understands comedy and you know and i talk to him uh my one of my favorite
things is to bother him when he's getting his makeup done um i'll just roll in and sing a young
cheesy song and roll out um or just ask him i guess i talked to him like we're friends so
i talked to him like i talked to any of my friends because i mean he's my boss he's still
another comic so right right you know we still talk to each other as comics we still joke as
comics and so but you know because he's working on the show and i'm working on what i'm doing
some days i don't some weeks i don't see him right um when we were in the office so
yeah because he's busy putting the whole show together and i'm busy doing something else on
very busy being a movie star podcast host i mean um what going on i have a question for just a
quick question who in this journey so far has given you the best advice like it was there
a moment where some other comedian was like you know always take a shit before a show
um i can say it wasn't so much as advice as it's been encouragement when i was performing
at the laughing school in Atlanta there were headliners who came on a regular basis so I was
able to meet a lot of different headliners Tom Segura and Greg Proops and Maria Bamford who was
always really supportive of female comics so when I went to LA and I came to New York especially
when I moved to LA I had a support system I had people that I could look at and go hey is this a
good show to do or who are these people or you know what is you know what is this part of the
process you know and then um being friends with sashir nicole byer there was one pilot season
where like me and nicole at the time um were auditioning for a lot of the same stuff right
so as opposed to you know and i tell her like hey and like one pilot season i think was like 2017
we were just calling each other and being like did you get sent out for this did you get sent
out for this did you get it and so it was like as opposed because it was like me her michelle
Boutteau would always be at the same auditions so me and Nicole like they were just like I'm
telling you everything I'm going to it was like we are going to right it can get divisive and
that's not what we wanted it's she wanted me to work I wanted her to work this is my friend I want
her to work I'm the I don't know these other chicks we're gonna join forces and be like whatever job
she can get if I don't book anything I'm glad she books anything because I'm still doing stand-up on
the road so I'm still working that's amazing that's really uncommon because it's very uncommon
in women because the Queer Eye guys came on and they told us a very similar story during the
Queer Eye auditions they were like we were all like texting each other being like did you get
it do you know you do you get it and like really I found that so heartwarming well I've seen it
like with I mean I think it's just a lot of times actors in general you know like you've been sitting
in a waiting room and someone's been going over you know you've seen someone ask to run lines and
Someone's like, no.
Yeah.
And I've seen women do that.
I've actually seen more men do that to each other.
Wow.
I've seen women be way more helpful to other actors than I've seen male actors.
I mean, I'm not trying to shit on anybody.
I'm just telling you what I saw.
Well, we are the superior of the two.
On that note, when we come back.
We are evolved.
When we come back.
Love it.
Dulce is going to fix your life.
you're listening to the lady gang okay so we're back so for this part of our podcast we have
our listeners writing questions about their lives whether it's their love life career and like
everything in between and we try to give them some good advice and since we all want to basically be
you we will love if you give us a little tidbit perfect i have absolutely no business giving
nobody, no help. Do you think we do? We are, I don't even know for bad advice. Yeah. All we,
it's mostly bad. It's usually like drink a bottle of wine and figure it out. Oh, then run it. Let's
go. Perfect. Okay. So first question comes from aging anxiety and the age of the pandemic. She
says I'm 27 and I've had this weird anxiety about aging since I entered my twenties because I feel
like these years are supposed to be full of travel parties and exciting sex since it hasn't gone quite
that way for me i feel like i'm losing my youth quarantine has also exacerbated these worries do
you have any advice to fight these feelings or changing perspective this doesn't count it's a
wash you don't age this year mariah carriott well it's society as a whole has told you that
it's what it's supposed to be about you can only do what's meant for you if i was always that's
why I've never pressed about I can't be pressed about jobs I don't get yeah I can't be pressed
about opportunities I don't get because if I was if I was supposed to get them they'd be mine
yes this year can be a wash for everybody we can be done I could be 36 all over again right yes
yes but all that all it is it sounds like you're saying what you should be doing what are you doing
right are you enjoying the life that you have or are you looking at what you're supposed to be
doing because something told you that there's people that travel in their 20s because their
parents can't afford for them to travel in their 20s right or people take on credit card debt to
travel in their 20s you don't know how people travel in their 20s i have been working since i
was nine years old right literally so i was not traveling in my 20s i was on unemployment
sometimes in my 20s but i do have to say you can still party and have exciting sex in your 30s
so and better sex better sex and better better because you know what first i must say and we
have to stop doing this as women stop faking orgasms yes never never never then they think
they're doing a fantastic job i've never done it i don't either in it that is not my ministry i'm
not here for it i am not here to tell you the ministry of orgasms i well i'm in the ministry
the truth. I'm not going to let you believe that you have pleasured me. You're going to take this
nonsense over to another woman. So you can still have, you can have better sex in your thirties
because you're no longer afraid of going a little higher, a little to the left. You're nowhere near
it. You're nowhere near it. Hey, you might as well just close your eyes and point. That's the
closest you're going to get to it. If you learn more about yourself, you begin, you know, you
gain more confidence um you know your body better also you're more willing to speak up and i realize
a lot of the seconds like a lot of some of the sex i had in my 20s was amazing but you know why
because the dude was in his 30s that makes sense okay it's from negative nancy she says she's a
sophomore in college and she's always had thought of herself as a strong pretty optimistic and
confident woman but i recently joined a sorority where every single girl is gorgeous and beyond
sweet now i found myself constantly praising others and hating on myself in a super negative
way how can i become more confident in myself but also feel like i belong in the sea of seemingly
perfect girls okay as someone who has uh who in college had a lot of friends in sorority was an
honorary member of authority um i can say that every girl is thinking exactly what you're
thinking yeah every single girl is going she's so gorgeous she's so pretty did it because i've
had conversations with the girl going well lauren's so pretty and she's so gorgeous and
and then i hear lauren going well she's so pretty and
and then i hear each girl thinking that another and then you know by the time and then you get
to the boss and you know it's like aaron's like oh i am pretty i am so gorgeous so like eventually
you get to the girl at the top of the food chain who's like yep i'm great and but a lot of times
a lot of those girls are thinking the same thing you have to understand those are your sisters
They picked you to be your sister.
They picked you to be their sister.
So since they picked you to be their sister, they picked you and you picked them.
These are your sisters.
This is your family.
So you shouldn't have to feel intimidated by these women who are your sisters.
You shouldn't have to feel that you don't fit in when they picked you and you picked
them.
Y'all picked each other because there was a commonality between you.
so you don't have to feel that you don't fit in when y'all picked each other to be sisters for
life so but that's not to say that those feelings don't exist because if you feel it it's a real
thing however you may be interpreting it if you feel it it's real and so if you want to feel more
confident then talk to them yeah if something when you have your chapter meeting when you have you
know be just sitting around where it's just your really tight friends in the sorority have a
conversation and just go hey am i the only one that feels like that i'm not keeping up i promise
you there's gonna be other girls there's gonna be some girl that's gonna be like no she's a liar
don't trust her right she's not your friend that girl's not that girl no i feel great like one of
my friends like she's like i never have anxiety i'm like oh must be cool nice you liar
fine, fine, fine, cool, cool, cool, cool. I don't trust you. Um, I mean, I didn't used to have it
and now I do. Right. Exactly. Adulthood. Sometimes, you know, some people just process
things differently. I process it where it was like, it's too much of going to bed and want to
bed. It's how I deal with anxiety, go to sleep. But that's how you process that. You have to
realize that, you know, there are girls that I have looked at and been like that girl's so much
prettier than me. And then there are other girls looking at me going, that girl's so much prettier
than me so there's always someone looking at you wishing that they had some attribute that you
had yeah so all you have to do is pay your dues and graduate that's all you have to do
sorority dues amen pay your dues pay your dues and graduate and that's it pay a sorority dues
their regular dues and graduate and that is it but if you don't and if you don't feel like that
you fit in with them then talk to talk to those are your sisters yeah talk to them because i
promise you you're not the only one that feels that way i mean with women it's so much easier
like friendships with women you can only have successful ones if you have vulnerability with
each other because otherwise it's all just bullshit oh yeah yeah i mean i i went to a
women's college. So I saw a lot of stuff. I mean, I'm very glad that I went to a women's college
because it gave us a lot of opportunities to have leadership positions that we probably wouldn't
have had if you went to a co-ed school. Um, but it also allowed me to wear pajamas to class. Like
that's what was really my dream, the dream. Um, amazing. So we'll say thank you for making time
