it comes and it's like all one color and I have a root I need it as you call a root shadow and so I bought this I had this spray you know the like gray spray and I put that on and it wasn't the right color and I was like this looks like it's sprayed so let me buy a little just for men hair beard dye and I did it but I did it too long and now it's brunette so I mean which I am pretty much brunette at this point um anyway are you going to be wearing those bangs for a specific reason I mean I just have been I know I'm gonna get to Paris next week why are you going to Paris I'm going with Chris oh as a vacation it's not really a vacation he's working and I'm working from Paris I'm going there's a couple things why don't you go to the person that cut

your hair that cool shag and have them give you the good haircut with the bang I I can't because on July 8th, I have an e-photo shoot. I can't have a bang for a year or two at E, you know? So that's the problem is that I know what... Or could you? Because here's the thing. You know what? Here's the thing, Kelty. I'm going to give you... And so he has to be there for Paris Fashion's Men's Week. And I shenanigled that I'm going on behalf of Alta, the app, and I'm going to like cover some of the Men's Fashion Week. And like we do this thing where we like take pictures and then we make them into avatars and like do some social and stuff. So I'm going to go and like hang and do that. And then also just like shop and go to the stationary stores and stuff. And then we're going to London because Chris has a different gig with a different client on the 30th. And I'm going to see my sister and my friend Carolyn. And then we're going to Ibiza.

Oh, she loves Ibiza. This is my life. How long are you going for? Like three weeks. Oh, that's a long time. Yeah. One, two, yeah, three weeks. My friends are getting, renewing their 20-year wedding vows, which I can't believe we're at the place where people are being married for 20 years.

So I'm really excited about that. And I, you know, anyway, I'm having a hard time packing because I'm dreaming of just a carry-on. Oh, my God. For three weeks? For three weeks. I'm not going to be able to do it. And then I want to shop in Paris, obviously. But the problem is, I don't want to make this all about me.

You know what you could do? No, go. Keep going. let me just tell you something i shenaggled these flights bitch do you know how much money how do you know how much money it is to fly to paris in a lay flat seat this no it's like twenty thousand dollars twelve thousand dollars jack 12 i know i was looking because i was trying to use points but it's like almost impossible to use points now because of the fuel surcharge there's so much going on but it is so dark so i flew all on points but let me tell you how i did

But and even with a stopover, you know yeah and I saw oh they have a stopover in Charlotte and I went back into the website and I just bought a coach ticket coach LA to Charlotte and it was like 60,000 miles you'd have to recheck your bags I have to get out in Charlotte I have to get my bag and I have to recheck the bag and then I called to try to like mash it together but anyway I got there for like

I got to Paris for like 300,000 points that's great that's still a lot of points I know yeah Chris has so many. I used his. Well, I have an idea for you. I think what you should do. Did you do the same thing on the way home where you're going to have to recheck a bag if you. I'm flying home with Chris. He's on a different flight. No. So going home, we go Ibiza to London. We'll have to recheck. And then London, I get to go all the way through. So what you could do is you could do a carry on and like, you know, you have your magic backpack that fits all the things. with your carry-on. And then you could pack one of those duffels that you can get on Amazon that's just like tight, like it scrunches down to like nothing. Yeah. So you can go over there with that

and then whatever you shop for and buy, you have the duffel. Expand. But I do think you could probably get away with, because it is summer and it means less clothes, I do think you can get away with doing a carry-on on your way over. Thank you so much. I was like, wow it's so you know gen z so many views gen z girls like think i'm so cool okay these are the comments they go oh honey they were not giving you a compliment they were being mean they're really mean i have two gen z daughters 21 and 22 they were being mean to you i feel like the sweat pant comment was a low-key dig those were not compliments the pants comment was definitely

sarcastic um what other ones were there a baby i'm gonna hold your hand when i say this they were bullying you baby I'm gonna hold your hand wait I'm stealing that baby too I'm gonna hold your hand while I say this they were bullying you dude and so the funniest thing ever is I was telling my mom about this and we were going out to the sandwich restaurant that serves beer around us it's my favorite place ever but I was going there and literally this outfit but in a light gray like a very it's basically pajamas I was wearing slides with it because I'd been at their house and I didn't come back to change, whatever. I looked horrible again. And I walk in the Gen Z bartender. She goes, I love your outfit. And I was like, this is what I am talking about. I'm like,

is she being mean now? Now I have to worry if every time a Gen Z person says something nice to me, I'm going to think that you can't trust it. They're boring. I'm going to hold your hand when I say this. I'm going to need you to be Jack Vanek influencer and put on a pair of big pants that are high-waisted with like keys attached to it when you leave the house, okay? This sweat pant leaving in your pajamas has gone too far. You're too OC now. No, but this is the thing, like Gen Z kids

and especially younger kids, because we live by a high school. No, no, no, I'm not trying to dress like Gen Z, but they dress like this. They're disgusting. So that's why I thought it was a compliment. You know what I mean? Because I'm like, you are wearing the same outfit,

but now apparently they're being mean to me, though they are dressing the same. So that's where my confusion lies. You know, a real pickle there for a slob kebab. Okay. Um, I am, my good week is that I started a challenge with my neighbor because I have been so lazy, very unmotivated, summer vibes, summer vibes. Right. And I'm like, I, I just, and I've also been noticing my mental health, not bad, but like, I'm like, oh, it's a little bit like dimmer, you know, like the joy, the whatever. And so I was like, going on walks is always the thing that fixes me, but I haven't been able to motivate myself to do so. And it's just so dumb, right? So she and I decided that

for 30 days, every single day, we have to get 10,000 steps in. And whoever doesn't has to pay the other person $1,000 and embarrass themselves. So you know, because it's $1,000, I'm going to walk my ass 10,000 steps. Girl, we had to make it high. I will say getting 10,000 steps a day is hard. It is. Like you have to basically be walking for two and a half hours straight to get 10,000 steps. Yeah, it requires what I've... But Becca has such little legs, you know? It's like she's doing double steps of you, Jack. You know what? I do have a long stride. It's longer than Jared's. You have a long stride, bitch. I think I'm... Yeah, I'm a quick walker, but I don't know if my strides are necessarily long, but I, I have been able to do it within, um, I get like

So anyways, I'm doing great. Day two. I just finished my walk. Day two. That's great. I asked ChatGPT to make me a log because I like checking things off lists. So I have a couple things on there. I didn't go crazy. I didn't go. And it's not that I have to hit them every day. It's just like your bullet journaling where it's like no alcohol because I felt like I was just having a drink to have a drink because it is summer. And I'm like,

you don't need to do that because you feel like shit the next day. dude like the thing is is that you know my husband's in the music business we've talked about this before we taught even talked about this when um because she was on the show like you're just so freaking talented the like what you can do the songs you write this the way you sound live it it thrills me to no end that like you're meeting this moment because it's like so many people with the AI voices and the autotune they've never they can make all their music on a computer like a real musician getting this moment is like it must just feel like I don't know what does it feel like yeah it's absolutely crazy and I pinch myself every day and I'm a crier like my emotions are like right at the surface so like every day I'm crying I'm just so

grateful and I just can't believe this opportunity has happened to me I really feel like the luckiest like artist in the world that I got given that scene and they played my whole song and you know it's a sex scene so obviously all the girlies are playing it over and over and over and over again So they're listening to my song over and over and over again. So, yeah, I just feel so grateful and I can't believe, you know, this has happened to me. I want to ask the technical. Like did the music coordinator reach out to you? and obviously it's a new show so it's like did you kind of think it was a throwaway thing or did you think it could have been a big moment for you yeah i got the email in early jan i think it was jan 7th and i got an email from my team saying that um you know this song bit on fire they're wanting to use it in a new amazon prime show called off campus here's like a little synopsis of what the show's about it's a young young adult aimed kind of eight part series I

think it said and um it's from a novel and I didn't know the novels I wasn't familiar I hadn't read them um and then it told me what the scene would entail like sex scene it's a montage of these these two characters that finally get together it's like a big moment in the show might include some butt cheeks some nudity and I was just all for it I was like absolutely like the song's called bed on fire like this is perfect but I had no idea how big the show was and to be honest I I don't know if anyone did I'm not sure if even the cast or the crew knew how explosive this show was going to end up being um so I had no idea at all so cool now have you been in touch with any of the cast like is there a group text have they written you like have they thanked you

So there was always guitars in the house and music always intrigued me. And also like dad would come home from work and just rinse music. And that would be what would happen when he'd come home. So we're just listening to music. And then I got given a drum kit when I was nine years old. And that was like my hyper fixation.
