Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's your lady gang, Jack Vanek, Kelty Knight, and Becca Tobin. Thank you so much for subscribing on iTunes, and thanks for supporting the great sponsors who make it possible for us to have this much fun with you every single week for free. Hi, I'm Barbara, aka your nursing educator on Instagram. I'm a registered nurse, and I make content that's all about helping nursing students thrive. One of the first and easiest things I tell nursing students, if you haven't already done so, upgrade your scrubs to figs.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Out with these stiff, boxy scrubs, in with the ridiculously comfy, well-designed figs that were specifically designed with us in mind. They're super soft, lightweight, and breathable, with 4-way stretch and moisture-wicking fabric that keeps up during long shifts. Pockets are exactly where you need them, the fit feels modern and tailored, and they hold their shape wash after wash. Whether you're in class, at clinical, or working the floor, you deserve scrubs that work as hard as you do. Go to wearfigs.com and use code FIGSCA for 15% off your first order. That's wearfigs.com, code FIGSCA. are we singing i don't know how are you guys pretty good but you know what i'm holding it in oh my god you guys in your tiny bladders tiny bladders do you have a tiny bladder too
Starting point is 00:01:40 i feel like you both i just think i drink a lot of liquids because when i'm nervous like i can bite my nails or drink a liquid and i choose to drink a liquid maybe that's a solution to your cuticles. I do need to drink more water too. So it'd be like killing two birds. I want that spark.
Starting point is 00:01:56 You know what you could get is you could get like a nice cuticle oil and just keep it in your pocket like a chapstick and whenever you want to pick you just rub the cuticle oil in. I know.
Starting point is 00:02:05 I just bought like the best that everybody was recommending and then cuticle trimmers. I gotta fucking knock it. You got this. You got this. Can I go first please
Starting point is 00:02:13 because I'm so excited? Yes. It's time for Good Week. Yes it is. Bad Week. Oh, no. Bad week.
Starting point is 00:02:22 I'm playing cards with my friends, Dwayne and Joe, who I love, my favorite friends. And we play at their house over by the airport, and they have, like, a big backyard patio cement. So I'm playing cards, and I turn and look away from my hand, and I see a giant possum walk right by the sliding door. I don't know what came over me, but instead of being like, oh, gross, a giant possum, I was like, oh, shit, a possum. Callie, get it. I opened the sliding door I let Callie into the yard and then I followed Callie into the yard because I don't know what I was thinking because she loves to chase the squirrel and I thought oh the possum will be fast it'll run past the fence and it'll just be like a fun chase for Callie
Starting point is 00:03:03 so then I'm like okay I'm following Callie I'm like Callie Callie get it get it I can't see it it's like hidden somewhere in the grass or whatever then the possum comes back out of the grass because Callie's chasing it. Runs right at me. Possums are so scary looking. They're disgusting. They look like a nightmare in a animal. A nightmare. So then I jump up on the outdoor
Starting point is 00:03:25 furniture and I'm screaming. It's like 11 o'clock at night and Callie is like I'm going to eat it. P.S. Possums are very slow. Callie definitely took a snappy bite. Then the possum ran away. Also, possums are huge. It was like a loaf of bread. It was so big and disgusting. The tail was like a foot long.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Anyway, I'm a cool... Oh my god, I hate possum so much it was so gross anyway i don't know what came over me i should have been like keep the dog inside where it won't eat the possum but like i've never seen a possum in real life you haven't it was disgusting okay next good week both of my things are about callie this week okay i'm such a proud dog mom i have taught callie english okay she 100 listen sit sit stay whatever like all those things fine i can have callie up this is what happened i have her on the bed she's looking around she's feisty and i was like don't bite my hands go get a toy get your toy get your toy she'll stop she'll look around the room she's like oh there's not a toy in here
Starting point is 00:04:30 and i'll be like get your toy she jumps off the bed she sniffs around the whole room and she's like if there's a ball not the ball not a chew stick she's looking for a toy i don't want to brag but orally does this and she doesn't more specifically we ask her to get her goat and she gets the specific toy wait really i think a lot of dogs can they do yeah because i'm so proud because i'm like dogs i'm like get a toy get a toy callie will go downstairs into her basket of toys get a stuffy bring it back up to the bed and be like here's my toy stuffy like a stuffed toy you know what i mean stuffy sounds so gross really orally does that too i was so proud i was like chris Callie knows English.
Starting point is 00:05:09 English. As opposed to what? Mandarin? I know. I'm like, is she speaking to you? We're so mean. I mean, can we celebrate Callie? I love Callie.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I love Callie. I loved Callie before. She bought my babies after eating that possum. Yeah, that's true. She got that possum. She got a toy. I just think it's pretty cool that I can look at her and be like, get a toy. And she goes to a different room in the house to bring back a toy.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Not a piece of paper. Not a stick. Not a chew toy. like a bone she goes and gets a toy she knows what a toy is
Starting point is 00:05:41 she's brilliant cool cool glad you're excited about that one I'm gonna go I think we're gonna get a lot of feedback
Starting point is 00:05:49 that everyone's dogs do that yeah okay let us know if everyone's dogs do that because I hobo
Starting point is 00:05:55 certainly never did that just gonna let everyone know about that okay Jack on that note take it away my good week
Starting point is 00:06:02 everybody knows that we love celeb face here on the lady gang I have found more Instagrams for anybody that likes this kind of a feed. Yep. So if everybody would like to follow Exposing Celeb Photoshop, Exposing Celeb Plastic Surgery, and Fake Girls Fuck You on Instagram, it is a plethora of like Photoshop fails, of before and afters, of just everything that you could ever want in life. And it really makes you feel better about yourself.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I love it no one is perfect no one is perfect these people that you think are like and this is also what I like is they do a lot of
Starting point is 00:06:44 the like the Instagram model girls so it's not just celebs but it's like butt model over here which you're almost better it is better because celebrities
Starting point is 00:06:51 you're like you assume they're going to be perfect because they're rich well they have skills they have talents so I'm okay if like Taylor Swift
Starting point is 00:06:59 gains 10 pounds and she wants to slim herself and she wants to slim herself like she has many skills that's not why we follow her and love her yes But these Instagram girls, I'm like, if you want to claim to be the perfect human and that's where you're getting.
Starting point is 00:07:10 And your body is your calling card. Yeah. And you're faking that. My favorite. And you're basically Milli Vanilli. My favorite is the. You're the Milli Vanilli of Instagram. It is.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Yeah. No, my favorite is the fitness girls that sell their fitness workout. Like, their jobs are literally to sell their workout plans. And then you can see their butt implants. It's a real life Legally Blonde. What do you mean? Remember? She got liposuction.
Starting point is 00:07:35 and she was like if they knew then Brooke's ass blast wouldn't be the number one VHS no it is they can't tell the world that they're faking it but anyways I enjoy all these accounts and then I just
Starting point is 00:07:51 there's way more and I probably look like a psychopath if you look at who I'm following on Instagram because it's smushy dogs and celeb exposed celebs get a girlfriend okay my bad week it's a fast one um i was having a very passionate make out in the car earlier this week
Starting point is 00:08:12 it was going really well it was pretty silent in the car why in the car i don't know it was just like we had a moment and you know it's an exciting new thing whatever barf as we were making out passionately all of a sudden i chimed in with the haven't you people ever heard of blasts on the radio blasts is that your ex-boyfriend panic of the disco song oh and it took you out ruined the mood to say the least oh did he did they ever hang out like on warp tour together they were kind of different eras i don't think yeah panic was around like a little bit before then uh-huh he didn't ever meet him i don't think yeah i mean like who cares i hear that song all the time follows me they don't stop playing it on k-rock it plays all the time and
Starting point is 00:08:57 i'll be like with chris and i'll be like i love you schmoopy boopy whoopy and then i'll be like closing the goddamn door that's one of my dad's favorite songs yeah god damn it isn't that weird yeah he loves it no it's not weird i find it odd i don't think it's weird for your dad for some reason it's on brand for him that's what i'm saying he's like i'm a lawyer i'm closing the goddamn door no like in general for a dad's favorite song to be a panic of the disco song it's weird but if it's your dad it's not weird to me but see i'm loving that i i actually am mad that i fucked up my possible love of panic at the disco by dating one of them there's other bands fine no i know but like the new panic at the disco is so good yeah like you can like it he's not in
Starting point is 00:09:39 it anymore no i do like it but it's like i couldn't one time i posted like my playlist and it had a new panic song and people were like can't you just let it go and i'm like oh my god i can just like this song it's 2017 let me live let me live i gotta have high high hopes for the living oh my god okay okay my good week is i my niece quinn is now so special and she's a special human like she's i mean jack her older brother's also very special quinn is just a character like a straight up character and we think she's like an old lady she's lived a lot of lives ah yeah she's like a little old Mary Kay lady trapped in this three-year-old's body we call her Kathy the Mary Kay lady when she pulls her like weird stuff oh my god yeah like she had a glass in front of her
Starting point is 00:10:28 my sister's not one of those people who comes home and pours a glass of wine like she's very rarely like doing any of that my sister like moved her glasses of water she goes that's my wine Quinn says that's my wine don't touch my wine no it's like you lived another life because I've never said that here's the best thing I love torturing my sister by buying Quinn hideous things yeah i found this ugly ass purse in the shape of a mermaid at target like it's so ugly and my sister gets mortified when quinn wants to wear things that she wants to wear my sister dressed them perfectly before they had control yeah and now they're really lashing out so i was like this i hope this goes over really well this purse and my sister sent me a text today that said
Starting point is 00:11:10 q had to run back upstairs before the dentist this morning because she forgot her purse she marched into the dentist like a boss with her purse on her shoulder and there's a video of her with look how ugly that purse is oh my god it's hideous it's truly hideous success so she's obsessed i have to get my purse like what three-year-old has to get their purse okay my bad week some i love zach martin let me just say i love zach martin he has one quality that i literally want to eat glass yes when this happens what is it so cars he's like very into cars i'm like great live your life whatever i don't really care about cars so we went through this whole rigmarole last year because it was time for him to get a new car i swear to you i
Starting point is 00:12:04 never heard more i never had so many conversations about cars in my life and i know he's just trying to like defer to me to not make a decision it's a big purchase so i think he thinks he needs to like talk it through with me yeah for me to like stamp of approval and i made the mistake of like not telling him then like i don't care please stop asking like unless it's like literally should i buy this car or not like i don't want to converse about it it's unreal it's unbelievable well guess what happened he gets this car he loves it it's like his favorite car in the world he gets rear ended upset he's very upset it's very bad damage we get a call last week your car is totaled so he has to buy a new car oh no we have to you guys you guys do it again you don't even know
Starting point is 00:12:52 i eventually looked at him my fuse was this short after the holidays and i was like i am begging you please don't bring up one more detail or number or warranty or anything I'm going to literally put my head through a glass door and he's still texting me about car stuff. He needs a friend. Does he need a male friend? No, he hasn't. It's just like he'll – my dad's a huge car person. So he always talks to my dad about it.
Starting point is 00:13:20 He has plenty of friends who deal with this stuff. But he still wants to talk to you. But he still wants to talk to me about it. And I'm like, is this what it feels like when I talk about like, what do I want for dinner? Do I want a salad or do I want pasta? Oh, my God. Probably. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:13:32 I do that all the time. And I'm like, is this karma? I'm so... Or another sandwich. I'm so sick of it that I literally emailed my manager and was like, hey, do me a favor. Reach out to car companies. See if they'll give me a free car for posting. Because then it's like, shut it down.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Bye. Sorry, we got a free Volvo. Can't get a new car. Boom. Yeah. So that's where I'm at. That's a really cool problem to have. They do that.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Volvo gives... I just want you to like... Can I have a Volvo? Yeah, they do it. They do it. There's like bloggers. Yeah, there's many Coopers. People do it.
Starting point is 00:14:04 I don't want a Mini Cooper. There's bloggers who have, like, this dope Volvo for free. What? Yes. Mercedes? Well, they're probably photoshopping their stomachs. What number is Zach on the Enneagram? I don't think he's done the Enneagram.
Starting point is 00:14:20 No, wait. He. Because I want to let you know that I live in a perpetual. He's a three. He is two? He's a three. Oh, weird. This is his one quirk that's, like, the indecisive.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Oh. Not indecisive. It's, like, obsessive. He's obsessive. He's OCD about this. See, Chris is like, cannot make a decision to save his life. And my whole life is like just talking through the same thing. Can knives not make decisions?
Starting point is 00:14:46 I don't think so. I've been, I'm telling you guys, I know I told you it took a year to get the fireplace in my bedroom, the blocks, you know what I mean? Because we couldn't make it. We have been working on the double door in my bedroom that goes out to the patio, a blackout curtain for now six months. Oh my God. We measured it.
Starting point is 00:15:04 we've ordered we looked is it gonna fit we don't know oh no it's gonna be the wrong color like it goes on
Starting point is 00:15:11 and on and like I am like just by the curtain like I do not care at this point get a shower curtain
Starting point is 00:15:18 and nail that shit up there I gotta sleep past 6am okay I know okay and it's like I can't talk about this anymore
Starting point is 00:15:25 it's only the car everything else he's the most decisive person on the planet I'm at the point maybe this is his tactic where if he drove if he rolled up
Starting point is 00:15:32 in a Rolls Royce you'd be like I wouldn't even be like, what the – you can't afford this. I'd be like, thank you, Jesus. You made a decision. Congrats. Thank you. That's what he's probably preparing me for.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Oh, my God. Probably. The fucking Rolls Royce that's about to roll in my driveway. All right. Well, when we come back – You can be a cult leader. They all drive those. Cool.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Oh. When we come back, the Rolls Royce of ladies. Now back to the Lady Gang. Our guest today is one of the ultimate ladybosses and the most in-demand director right now. She's directed videos for No Big Deal, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Hailee Steinfeld, Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato, Little Mix, Jessie J, Tinashe, Halsey, and Kacey Musgraves, which was my favorite video of last year. Dime, yum.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Plus, she's directed not one, but two documentaries, and she's won two MTV Awards. Her story to working with the biggest stars in the world is so inspiring because she created this all herself through hard work and dedication. I've been a fan of this woman for years on Instagram. We've been DMing and, like, commenting on each other's stuff, being like, you go, girl, you go, girl, for so long. So I'm happy we're finally meeting. Please welcome to the Lady Gang our girl, Hannah Lux Davis. Welcome. God, your intros are so great.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Okay. First of all, I want to talk. You are a director. You're the head bitch in charge. And this is a rare thing. When we got the Lady Gang TV show, we did a shoot with Peggy Sirota. Is that how you say it? Peggy Sirota.
Starting point is 00:17:02 She's a famed photographer. And she was on set. She was the boss bitch in charge. She was bossing everyone. Give me the light. Give me the thing. But in a nice way. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:17:09 In an amazing way. And we were like, wow, you so rarely see that, it being a woman. And like you're the head bitch in charge basically. So how do you boss people around as a woman but do it in a nice way but also get the shit done? Well, that's a great question. And I think a lot of times people can assume that, oh, she's going to be like a bitch or she's like really like hardcore and just like a driving force is kind of a nag. But I think what it what needs to happen and what I try and do is just lead positively and really encourage the team around me, even when like times are really frustrating and tough. and that is often the case of every job that I do I have to just like just kind of like take
Starting point is 00:17:49 command but like also like have a I have to have like a good idea of what obviously a good idea of what I'm doing and be really confident about it and I think a lot of my process is very much like prep prep prep I over over prep and so that allows me to go into the shoot really confidently and know like the ins and outs of everything I need and then I think it's also practice because over the years I've obviously grown more confident with like how I you know command the attention on the set and i think the more projects and situations i've been in that have you know under my belt the more confidence i have and just like leading a team and not like second guessing or like having to like you know secretly go up to somebody and be like hey maybe we try this but
Starting point is 00:18:30 rather just be like hey let's talk about this like if i don't know the answer like i can always like look to other people and work with the team that i've hired to be collaborative and not just like always have the answer it's okay to like lean on the people around you and be like hey how should we solve this problem and I think sometimes you know I've heard of and I've actually heard of a lot of cases of just like directors just like you know nagging and yelling and and it's not a positive way to lead a crew I love that now how did you get here well I took the 405 and then I um well i started out um i think my journey begins in high school i really loved uh filmmaking didn't really know what it was about or like what the exact role i'd be falling into later in my
Starting point is 00:19:19 life but um i fell in love with it when i was in high school i made like when i was growing up like punk like what's that what's that one show like punked not punked but the other one with johnny date my mom oh jackass jackass yes i always forget the name of it for some reason but yeah like that was what was like really popular like that type of stuff and so it was really easy to sort of get in with like a shitty camera i can say shitty right yeah listen you can say anything we'll just bleep it okay um yeah it was really easy to get in with a camera and like any sort of camera and just start shooting like random stuff like people skateboarding or my friends doing stupid pranks on each other or remaking vanilla ice baby like with like pictures and it was just like it
Starting point is 00:20:03 was a fun like time to experiment because everything was also very new with like iMovie and and stuff like that so i started that like when i was 16 and then when i was 17 the summer before my senior year of high school i went to film camp in los angeles at the new york film academy in la and i went on like a high school like i always thought that was like a bullshit thing that just like takes your money. I know it kind of is, but also it was like the best experience of my life. Like, uh, I like met like one of my best friends to this day. She was the bridesmaid of my wedding at that film camp. Her name is Ashley. Shout out. Um, she loves this podcast. And, um, and so, um, it was a really great experience to like get me to LA and get me
Starting point is 00:20:45 like, um, like seeing if I wanted to really go farther in it in my life. And yes, I was only 17, But it was a good sort of like, you know, a test drive in, you know, working with other people and like being in L.A. and like this like living here. Even though I was 17, it's so crazy to say. So then after that, I went to the New York Film Academy in L.A. for the year long program after I graduated high school. I didn't even bother with like applying to college because I was like my SATs were terrible. Well, you're a creative. Yeah, I was just not good in school, but I like loved filmmaking. and I knew that it would be like an easy like one year not easy but like I knew I could get in so I
Starting point is 00:21:22 did the one-year program there for directing and it was a really small like class of like 13 people of 18 year olds they like divided you up by age group which was like a really terrible thing and then um then while I was here I discovered the LA film school and that was like another year-long vocational school and that was like directing and editing and working with people who weren't just trying to be directors it was people who wanted to be a cinematographer or an editor or production designer and so i was able to meet a lot of people that way meanwhile i'm only 19 at this time so i'm still like super young not knowing what i'm doing with my life like as a person and um but i was done i graduated at the age of 20 and then um from there i got an
Starting point is 00:22:03 internship and um at a production company that had one of my favorite directors floria such as monday who's a music video director she's done like christine aguilera katie perry um back when I was like a huge fan still am but back when I was a huge fan it was like Christina Aguilera fighter Marilyn Manson beautiful people yeah just a bunch of really eclectic like body of work and um I was able to intern at that production company for a summer and I started PA-ing a lot on set realized I hated PA-ing and I was like not gonna like I don't think anyone loves being a production assistant some people some people do though yeah they like really thrive on just like being on the team yeah you know taking orders yeah yeah and like maybe they don't know they're maybe they
Starting point is 00:22:48 don't have like directing aspirations but like they just want to be in the industry and they come here from like middle america and they're just like excited to be there which is like and we need those people you know what i mean so um and then from there i was like okay i'm not gonna like make it being a pa and like trying to be a director um and like bouncing around from people that i don't know every single time so i was like you know what i'm gonna go to makeup school like I loved doing makeup, and I knew that, like, being on set with a creative on the creative side was going to help me and, like, able to get me in creative conversations with people. So I ended up going to cinema makeup school for, like, a six-month program, and I learned, like, beauty makeup and, you know, all sorts of different things, like special effects. And that was really just to get me, like, more confidence into, like, doing makeup on set.
Starting point is 00:23:35 I was already kind of doing it just on, like, my friends' projects, but it was just able to, like, oh, that's how you do eyebrows. didn't do that before just kind of avoided those so I was able to like get more confidence in doing makeup and then from there I really met like my people I work with today like doing makeup like I met like models and dancers and producers and like all sorts of people that I still to this to this day work with which is crazy and then um then I kind of got like my biggish break when I was doing makeup on a set I was also editing for other directors and like editing other music videos doing random jobs i worked retail like a whole bunch of stuff and um i was doing makeup on a shoot and the commissioner like of the video that's like the label yeah um you know representative on
Starting point is 00:24:20 the set um remembered me because i had cut a video for him and he like saw me doing makeup and was like oh my god you do makeup too and then i was like yeah and then he knew i directed as well but at that on that set we were able to like have facetime and then he put me up for a video um for Lil Wayne which was the Love Me video and that was kind of like the big
Starting point is 00:24:42 sort of break that like oh people know that artist and before that like nobody had really heard of the artist I had worked with so
Starting point is 00:24:47 what was Lil Wayne like so polite I love him he's so polite he like oh my god especially compared to people today
Starting point is 00:24:55 like are you kidding me those guys today can you tell us your worst horror story and you don't have to say who it was yeah oh my gosh for sure
Starting point is 00:25:01 or you can if you want that was my biggest oops moment yeah so um you can tell us after too yeah yeah yeah um yeah so worst story i think it might have just been okay i'll just say it was like a soundcloud rapper guy and um it was a really really young artist and he just really had zero respect for anybody buddy on the set and i have no idea why i was directing that video i worked with the commissioner once before and he thought that
Starting point is 00:25:30 we'd be a good fit and we really just weren't he had zero respect for me anybody on the set and just was so degrading to all the girls that we had on the set and he was like give me my bitches go find my bitches give me my bitches and i'm like they're women and i i normally don't like go out of my way to like yeah correct somebody because i'm like i i'm annoyed by a lot of that stuff anyways but i feel like the fact that he just was so he was like so young and he was like Eating chicken wings and talking to me and just being like, this is my shoot. We're doing it my way. And it was just like.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Oh, my God. And this was like last year. Yes. This wasn't like in the beginning of my career. So you'd already worked with massive, massive. So you're probably like, what am I doing here? You're like, have you ever heard of Demi Lovato? Good night.
Starting point is 00:26:14 I mean, or like Drake, Lil Wayne. Like, I mean, yeah. It's just like other people. People that I'm sure you looked up to. Yes. Like, that's, yeah, that's bad. Exactly. He received the wrong message at some point.
Starting point is 00:26:24 He received the wrong message. But I do think the smaller a star, the more crazy they can act sometimes. Like, the big stars, they just, like, have been through it. So they're like, okay, I'll be more professional. But it's, like, the little ones that need to, like, puff up and, like, prove that they're, like, I'm a star. Totally. A lot of the internet stars, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:44 It's a weird thing. I think that there's a difference because they've probably grown up thinking that they're, like, the hottest thing in the world. So how do you get stars to, like, really trust you? Because I know that you have this like close connection with so many and a star will come to you, you'll do a video and then you'll do like 10 more videos for them. What do you think is your secret sauce? And like obviously, I mean, you don't hang out with people like me at Entertainment Tonight. But like in general, like what is the secret? That's a great question.
Starting point is 00:27:10 I feel like I really listen to them and I'm able to just really get a good grip on who they are and what it is they're after. and not just kind of go with some formula that like I don't really make video that's are like that are like plug and play videos like any artist could be plugged into it I really try and understand like get an understanding of like what they're trying to say like where are they at like what is you know where are they in their life in their career what do I think they like could use more of what do they need and what do they want you know and I think being a collaborator and not somebody you know who just like thinks it's my own thing like at the end of the day it's their video it's their face it's not me and i'm just like an
Starting point is 00:27:50 extension of them so i think um that's a big one really whose idea was the side to side soul cycled choreographed dancing with ariana it was ariana's to do the spin bikes that was hilarious it was amazing no she's she is so smart like it's crazy how in tune she is with just like her audience like her own image and her own brand it's and she is the one the decision maker behind everything she does she's the one who's like there when we're delivering a video and like we're not it's her it's pretty remarkable like how like in charge she is of her career um but on that side to side video she I wrote I wrote a treatment and it was like I don't even really remember it that's how basic it was and sometimes it's really hard to write a treatment when it's
Starting point is 00:28:39 like a single bid to you because you're like oh it's mine okay cool like I have free range and then all of a sudden you just like like total writer's block right yeah but when you know that there's like a little bit of a parameter and you're able to like you know work within something like I feel like I can thrive better and so anyways I wrote this idea for a side to side that was just so boring and then she like obviously passed on it and was like but what about spin bikes and like that was all she said and then I was just like holy shit and I like found all these reference photos and we just were going back and forth over text and it just like happened really organically that's so cool it was hot like the shimmer tie the icon hot like that was one of
Starting point is 00:29:20 my favorite okay yeah the icon hat was great she was debating whether or not to wear it and she's like is it too much is it too showy is it like too like braggy and I'm like no like if anybody could do it and yeah at that point of her career too it was almost like a really big statement because that's when she really was, like, you know, stepping it up further. Like, she's no longer cutesy. It's like she's hot. Yeah. What is the secret to the good lighting?
Starting point is 00:29:44 The secret to the good lighting. The lighting and all of – I would say the through line, like, you make your mark with, like, the way you light, especially a woman. Well, thank you. I think the secret is a really great DP, cinematographer, and I think studying what they look like, you know. And I think if you watch past videos or their photo shoots, their Instagram, like what are their angles that they like on themselves and then where would that light be? Like for a woman, you don't want to have like a shadow making like their nose look longer and you want to make sure you like, you know, give it like a nice key but it's like soft and just like filling under their eyes and like the planes of their face get filled. So it's not like overly shadowy. Some women can handle it and like depending on like if it's a narrative video, you might want to be a little moodier.
Starting point is 00:30:26 and um but i think it's just really like hiring a great person who's really good at that yeah and then you have like a go-to person that's like this is who lights my videos yeah i have a few go-to people um chris probes is the dp i've been working with a lot he also shot toxic britney spears no okay i worked with him a few times and when i found out that he shot toxic i flipped out we were at we had just wrapped a shoot in new york and it was like 4 a.m we were in some pass van like going from like the suburbs or whatever you call it to like the city and i and he told me that just so casually and i just lost my shit i couldn't believe it because i'm obsessed with bernie spears in that video obviously um so that i mean he's amazing he also shot taylor swift bad
Starting point is 00:31:10 blood and blank space and he shot um thank you next he shot rita aura for me and he shot what else did he shoot do you a few things do you ever get asked to make any john mayer music videos because we would like to be cast as the three love interests. Except for John Mayer is now using, like, a Sears, like, photo shoot. I don't know if that was real. But anyway, has John Mayer ever come to you for your special slice in the lighting? I haven't even been approached by him or his people. That's a shame.
Starting point is 00:31:45 If he does, will you keep it in your back pocket that, like, lady gang? Oh, he will work for free. We'll do it for free. I got you. I hope that happens just so this possibility can come to life. You know what I mean? Because that's so fun. Or, like, if it's a Halsey video and John happens to be, like, now that they're friends.
Starting point is 00:32:01 You know what I mean? If he's going to pop up at any video, like, we'll… We can't be around Halsey. I can't have… I don't want my abs near Halsey. But she's so nice, so it's, like, fine. Is she? Yeah, she's, like, really sweet.
Starting point is 00:32:14 But I don't know. I'm just going to feel bad about myself. I don't know. Okay. Anyway, John Mayer's on our list, okay? Just put that on your list. I got it. Okay, great.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Is there anyone you still want to work with that you haven't worked with? Yeah. I'd say like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne. Now, do you ever get – Christina Aguilera. Oh. Avril Lavigne is a random one. I mean, my top –
Starting point is 00:32:36 I love her. My top girls. Yeah, my top girls, which got me into like pop music, TRL heyday, was Britney, Christina, Avril. Yeah. So like to work with them, it would be pretty insane. Just to like – From my younger self. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Have you ever been put up for one of those videos and then not got it? A few years ago, I was put up for an Avril Lavigne video. It was Here's to Never Growing Up. Is that the name of the song? Something like a few years ago. I'd say maybe four years ago. But not since New Avril came out. Not since New Avril, no.
Starting point is 00:33:05 So there's hope. There is hope. And one of my best friends just produced one of her videos. Oh. So that was like very close. Yeah. You're in. What did you manifest for 2019?
Starting point is 00:33:15 I mean, a new house. Moving into a new house. Oh. I'm moving to Sherman Oaks. Congrats. Yeah, from the west side. So it'll be a move. Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:26 I'm very excited. To diversify. So you want to do other directing? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, diversify. I feel like... Like other than music videos?
Starting point is 00:33:36 But the documentaries were so good. Yeah, documentaries were fun. Well, I haven't actually... I haven't seen the Ariana one yet, but I saw the Demi... I didn't do the Ariana one. You didn't? No, I didn't do that one. It's on your Wikipedia, by the way.
Starting point is 00:33:45 I'm letting you know that it says you're a director of the Dangerous Woman Diaries. Oh, no, I'm not. You better go fix that. Yeah, I'll make note of that. Or don't. Yeah. Well, I'm not from Sucks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:55 I haven't seen it. No, I'm sure it's good. But you did the Demi Lovato one. I did the Demi Lovato one. Which was amazing and very raw. Yeah, that was the hardest thing I've ever done. Yeah. Like, hands down.
Starting point is 00:34:05 I mean, I don't know if for those of you out there who haven't seen it, it kind of takes you behind the scenes of her making her last album. And it's like the highs and highs, the perfectionist. And then she's, like, very, very blunt about her drug use and her struggles in the past and, like, being so young. And she basically looks at the cameras like, I was 15 years old and I was doing cocaine. Like, it is very – I actually loved it because I think this is something that people do all the time but then try to act like never happened. And I really appreciated how, like, blunt she was. But I can't imagine having that footage, like, and being like, what do I do with this?
Starting point is 00:34:38 Because, like, this could ruin her career, make her career. Like, you didn't know how people were going to react to that. Yeah, it was a very fast process, too. Like, we started shooting in, like, May of that year, and we delivered in August. Whoa. Oh, my God. No, we delivered in, like, September, which is insane. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Damn. Insane. Yeah. It was crazy. So you want to do more of that stuff. Yeah, and, like, stage shows, like, creative for, like, a stage show situation. Like a Las Vegas residency or something. Like a Coachella performance.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Oh. That in the universe. Oh. Oh, there is a big Coachella performance coming up. I know. That you are close with. I know. Isn't that crazy?
Starting point is 00:35:18 It is so weird. What a lineup. Damn, what a lineup. Let's talk about it. Thank U, Next broke the internet. So how did that come to be? And did you have to get a special approval to use, like, to make satire of, like, other movies and stuff? How does that work?
Starting point is 00:35:33 We didn't get approval, but we definitely, like, were riding the fine line of, like, being too close. for copyright yeah um and so we had to like we built the sets based on like reference photos from the film and then we had to like take away things you know what i mean and get like really close and then take away um but we really did get the blessing of like a lot of the films after right as it came out yeah so we were like oh we're good yeah whose idea was it so when ariana's in the nail salon like the legally blonde part and the FedEx guy comes in and he's got the FedEx logo but it's the BDE like big dick energy I love all the easter eggs and I love that you found that a lot of people didn't find that one that's so good that's my favorite part of the video how did that
Starting point is 00:36:21 come to be yeah so what I love about working with Ariana is that we will we'll edit the video we'll be done we'll be done with color correction and then we'll go into effects and then as we go through effects like i'll kind of like screen grab things and be like where is there a moment to hide like an easter egg or like to sneak something in that's like that her fans will just eat up because that's what people do these days they just like they pause the video there's no need to like oh are we showing something too fast no like make it a couple frames and make them stop and like screen grab and figure it out and so with her like we had there were so many opportunities to do that throughout the entire video and the um the ups logo is obviously
Starting point is 00:37:00 something that had to be replaced so i just screen grabbed it to her like one night and i was like hey what should we replace with ups and she wrote back like right away and like said that and i was like yes she's just really she's just so witty and smart it's it's crazy like she really is like i can't say enough good things about her does she ever like write to you and is like oh my god i've been dming with like kelty a little bit about inspirational quotes no but she's always retweeting you and i love that i know but like we're not retweeting but reposting she's reposting you and I'm like, oh, my God. I get all excited.
Starting point is 00:37:30 I'm going to tell you an Ariana story. I don't know if I've told you this before, but I'm going to repeat it since you're here. I'm sure you have. You probably told it to us while it was happening. No. This is really old. I was at, like, the Teen Choice Awards. Did I tell you this?
Starting point is 00:37:44 I don't know. Right. I was covering the Teen Choice Awards right at the beginning of my career, like, probably eight or nine years ago. And Ariana, I think, was on Sam and Kat. Anyway, so you're there. It's the Teen Choice Awards. It f***ing sucks.
Starting point is 00:37:55 It's, like, the worst award show. It's so hot. It's, like, obnoxious. there's so many children running around I was like what am I doing but I was still kind of excited to be there but anyway basically it was like Will Smith was coming with his kids and like Jamie Foxx and that's who I was there for the stars you know but then all these like Nickelodeon kids came and they like the publicists were like do you want Tony from Rascals and I was like no we're good so then this little red-headed thing walks up to me and she stands right in
Starting point is 00:38:21 front of me no publicist and just goes hey how are you and I was like in my mind I was like this idiot like you didn't you didn't bring a public i don't want to talk to you stupid red hair little girl like what's wrong with you and then i was like well she's already here i'm not going to break this girl's heart so i'm like hey how are you who are i had no idea she was i don't have kids you know like oh so i was like talking to her i was like wow this girl's really nice and then i was like oh so i found out who she was after and then i started following her and then like i remember doing little baby interviews with her when she was like um i just like love music And it was just like so sweet.
Starting point is 00:38:55 So to see her now turn into like this powerhouse, I'm like, so sometimes I forward her an inspirational quote and she'll comment because I wrote her and was like, will you come on Lady Gang TV? And she was like, I would love to. You're a legend. And I was like, oh, my God, can I make a T-shirt of that? But then she's like, has been very busy. You know, maybe we can get her. But maybe like if you could just like be like, hey, Ariana, like Kelty wants to make sure
Starting point is 00:39:22 You're really appreciating her inspirational quotes she sent out. I mean, I'll definitely drop your name. Just don't. It's weird you didn't get one of the rings. So weird. Well, I did want to ask you. Does the burn hurt, Kelty? No, I did want to ask you, could you check in and see where my ring is?
Starting point is 00:39:42 I see that you're wearing one. People that don't know, go talk about the ring. Explain the story because you're wearing one and I would like mine. Anytime. Okay, we'll talk about the ring. I think yours is still held up at Tiffany's. I think I heard that it's still at Tiffany's. And you have to pay for it yourself?
Starting point is 00:39:59 Oh, cool. Okay. It's on hold, though. So I won't be getting the ring. What if I just went and bought that exact ring and was lying around eating it? She would. It's eight rings. It's a new title.
Starting point is 00:40:10 So good. So good. So mine isn't one of the seven, but I have a ring. And the story is, she wrote this song, Seven Rings, after an incident that happened with her and her friends. She was shopping at Tiffany's. like you do when you're Ariana Grande, and they give you tons of champagne, so she was feeling really good, and she was with her friends, and, you know, things were feeling good, and she decided to buy her friends rings, and she wasn't, she's blind as a bat, you
Starting point is 00:40:38 know this, right? She can't see anything. I mean, she hasn't told me personally, but, like, I heard it on lighting. I thought you guys were, like, best friends. Okay. So, she's blind as a bat, and so she was looking at the price tag, and she thought, you know, the combo is in, like, a different part of the number. so she's like you know what i'll take all seven and um you know she finds out what the actual
Starting point is 00:40:57 price is she freaks out runs to the bathroom and is like holy shit holy shit holy shit should i spend this money and she's like you know what f it i'll do it and then she ended up i could be telling this story wrong but this is from what i've gathered um and then she ended up buying the rings all of her friends wear them they're beautiful and um we were shooting something recently practicing for a shoot and she slips me a tiffany's box on the first day of the shoot and i literally i've never been so speechless it was like such a surprise i'm like i'm like okay maybe it's a key chain right maybe it's just like something like a little little nugget right i opened the box i literally froze and like i wanted to react really like really huge because
Starting point is 00:41:41 I was like so moved by this off like insane generous gesture but I was like with the entire crew and it was like the last like hour and we were all just like exhausted and I didn't want to be like oh my god this ring thank you for my diamond and so I had to like kind of play it small but really I was just like in shock so now I have this ring on my finger that's from Tiffany's it's i don't know how many carats it is but it's beautiful and it looks like an engagement ring and it's absolutely stunning and i can't believe she got it for me and i look down at this ring every single day and i'm just like thank you next thank you never next you know like i'm going to bust my ass for you like every single day and like she's obviously like the longest like working
Starting point is 00:42:27 relationship i've ever had with an artist and like the most meaningful i don't want to say that and like this other artists because i love all the artists i work with but like it was just so moving and the relationship that we do have is very special because it's just the two of us when we're like editing the video just the two of us there's not like a whole team of people it's like just me and her and like and so i look at this ring and i'm just like so moved and i'm just like of course i'm just gonna like bend over freaking backwards and do back handsprings for her because like you know she really appreciates me and i'll you know i want to work really hard for her and i love what we have together what's crazy is that diamond is so big and then over here on the left
Starting point is 00:43:04 tanned this wedding ring is like 900 times bigger that is the biggest diamond that's like jessica simpson newlywed style oh my god we got we got really lucky with the diamonds brandon did really great i love him she's like acting as if they found it we got really lucky no but i will tell you try it on yeah you can try can i try it on i need to try it i'll tell you the story of how hair shape and it's massive yeah it's for everyone probably weigh your hand to the ground it's so nice. It's beautiful. I'll tell you how we found it. I was going to this jewelry store where I
Starting point is 00:43:38 was going to get my birthday present for myself. Good for you. As you do. And we were on the other side of the street and we were passing this vintage jewelry store and we saw the ring. It's probably really dirty right now because it gets dirty really easily because it's back is so big. We've all tried it on.
Starting point is 00:43:54 So we saw this ring at this vintage jewelry store and I tried it on like totally joking. It was like, ha, ha, ha, this is the ring I'm getting because I, like, wanted this shape in this, like, two-prong situation or whatever that's called. And I tried it on as a joke, like, total joke. And then we went and we took a photo of it. And then we went across the street to my jeweler and we showed her.
Starting point is 00:44:17 And Brandon was like, oh, yeah, we just saw it, you know, at this other random jewelry store across the street. And the owner of the jewelry store I was at was like, that's my husband's store. That's, like, his store. and so because I had been like so like loyal to this other jeweler
Starting point is 00:44:30 she was like maybe we can get you a deal so we thought an insane deal on this but it's still very similar
Starting point is 00:44:37 I mean it's still probably more than that that deal is not a deal no no no it's yeah we got lucky but anyways
Starting point is 00:44:44 back to this Ariana thing because I forgot to even tell like what she said when she gave it to me she gave me she gave me this box I open it and I'm like staring at her
Starting point is 00:44:50 and she's like doe-eyed and just like the most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen and she was like now it's eight rings bitches you win the club for life
Starting point is 00:44:58 and I literally lost it so it's not like after the seven she just like gave all of her friends rings too no she gave me one and then I think after that she gave I don't know the order but then she gave her mom one as well and I think her Nona so yeah I think there's a couple more than eight
Starting point is 00:45:14 but like the way she said it was very sweet I know it's insane it's really insane don't expect anything from me no never even if I make so much money I'm never buying you a Tiffany's diamond ring No, and then for my wedding, I gave, like, my bridesmaid's gifts and my assistant a gift, and I gave her, like, a little diamond bracelet, and I'm like, sorry. It's like, little baby, I swear to you.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Like, I'm not a princess, I'm a real one. But honestly, she could, like, it's the thought. It's like sometimes like I think with celebrities in general, like their life is moving so fast and they're so used to people catering to them that they don't often stop to be like, I have so much gratitude for what you've contributed to this rise. Because a lot of stars are so self-centered that they think that it's all them, you know? And so that is like a really cool thing to even realize like, hey, thank you for being a part of this and helping me define who I was. That's very true. and even on social media she's always crediting me
Starting point is 00:46:13 and like tagging me and I'm like that's really sweet thank you do you get more followers when she tags you because she tagged me once I got no more followers
Starting point is 00:46:19 I got no followers it's the Kelty curse we call it there's a Kelty curse on Instagram it is like someone I had probably
Starting point is 00:46:28 I've been following for a long time I remember when you got like a 40k thank you girl I remember the 50k I'm sad that she remembers this
Starting point is 00:46:34 it's a big thing it's a big deal I mean I get it I'm almost at 100k we should make a music video we should oh my god I'll take the DP
Starting point is 00:46:44 the lighting you guys hate it but I'm like loving it she will pay for it so funny I will pay for it myself she will use her savings to pay for this music video
Starting point is 00:46:52 honestly if you hit a hundred thousand this year I hope that you do oh you will I know I'm only four hundred away oh of course you will
Starting point is 00:46:59 you have ninety nine thousand oh wait no I have ninety six never mind four thousand I'm thirty five hundred I bet you get that in three months
Starting point is 00:47:07 well I don't know but here's the thing that happened when Ariana reposted me I got probably 25 email or text messages from everyone that works here and people being like, you're on Ariana's Instagram story. Oh, my God. You're going to get so many followers. And I was like, yeah, I totally am.
Starting point is 00:47:21 Oh, my God. It's going to be amazing. And I was like waiting for it to pop. Like pop, pop. Because our friend Vanessa on Blue Bloods. Ray. Vanessa Ray. She's an actress.
Starting point is 00:47:33 It turned out at the end of Pretty Little Liars she was A. She was like the killer the whole time. Wait. And they like hit it. I watched that show. What? So the end of the show, they're trying to find out who A was. I forgot her name on the show.
Starting point is 00:47:47 I don't remember. I didn't watch it. But I watched the whole show, so I'm like, I don't know why I'm wrong. At the end, it's this blonde girl, Vanessa, who's like the bad girl all along. Oh, I thought it was the girl's evil twin. Oh, well, they really fucked that up. That was whatever happened. So I thought it was, what's her name?
Starting point is 00:48:02 Spencer's evil twin. I have no idea because I never watched it. I really did. Allegedly, what happened at the end was that Vanessa Rae got outed as, like, this main character, the bad bitch. And she got, like, 400,000 followers overnight from being the pretty little liar's girl. So I was like, well, shit, 25 million, Ariana, even if I get a tiny slice. Very different circumstances. You know, I think it might be close, though, you know?
Starting point is 00:48:28 Maybe you should be the villain in Ariana's life and then maybe. No, I could never do that. She's too cute. She loves her too much. She's too cute. I talk about her all the time. She does. She talks.
Starting point is 00:48:37 She's our biggest fan. I just love her. I fell in love with Ari. We've been having great conversations. Anyway. You're such an idiot. I'm a loser. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:47 You're amazing. You have created so many good things in your life. And when we come back, you're going to help us figure out our girls' lives. Hey, ladies. Okay. Ask the Lady Gang. And we're back. We're back.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Okay. so i know that you said that we had really good advice to give i think it's very questionable it is i agree try i know you've been listening but like we never give good advice i mean literally you've helped me out a lot no i actually i don't know i actually don't know yeah no we definitely haven't okay there's no way our first question comes from jess i'm not gonna say her last name okay no it's a joke oh okay jessica simpson yeah i just didn't know like maybe she was just casually named Jessica Simpson and we're going to ruin her life. She might be, but I think it was a fake name.
Starting point is 00:49:33 Okay. She says, there's a girl on my college... There's a girl in my college course who seems to have some unknown problem with me whenever we're in class. However, she keeps trying to follow my social media accounts, all of which are on private. I'm confused as what to think if she has a problem with me,
Starting point is 00:49:49 why she's so interested in my private life. She wants to hate tweet you. Should I confront her about it? Was there more to that that you took out? No, that's it. this girl at school hates her but she keeps trying
Starting point is 00:50:02 to follow her on Instagram to hate on her yeah probably cause she wants to like share her posts with her friends I think you need to block her
Starting point is 00:50:08 to screenshot it and then send it to your friends I think she doesn't really hate her no I think she secretly is like
Starting point is 00:50:14 obsessed with her oh and is intimidated mmm well yeah but I think wait
Starting point is 00:50:24 can we can we settle something once and for all do people see it when you screenshot their stories. I hope not. No. But I did see an article that now you can see if somebody screenshots a DM.
Starting point is 00:50:38 But that's it. Only the DM. Oh, okay. So be careful. We should test that theory. We should. Lady Gang Investigates. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Screenshot a DM. But then I don't know my notifications turned on. I don't either. So I don't know. Because you get so many followers. So much attention. So many messages. messaging. It's so hard for Becca.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Listen, me and Ariana Grande, it's hard being us. I understand. You're so small. Thank you, next. You're so small. You have to hem everything. It's so hard for you. I hate you. She has to hem everything, too. She doesn't wear pants. She doesn't. But that's the smart thing.
Starting point is 00:51:14 That's what you need to adopt. Your life would be so much easier if you tried to not wear pants. No one is going to take me seriously if I wear an over-the-knee boot and an oversized sweatshirt. I'm far too old. Becca, I'll give you It would be $100 if you, to the next Hollywood party you go to, just wear a Lady Gang sweatshirt and an over-the-knee boot. Not a chance.
Starting point is 00:51:34 How much will you pay me to do it? Not a chance. How much will you pay me to do it? Zero dollars, because I'm in the Lady Gang, and it would really be embarrassing for me. What if all three of us wear— I would do it. You would? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Do you want to be in the Lady Gang? Yeah, please. Come on, Becca. I'm in. But you have to wear a Lady Gang sweatshirt with over-the-knee boots. I could do it. Yeah, exactly. Also—
Starting point is 00:51:53 I just see—it sounds comfortable to me. Do you want to also tell Hannah about Friday? I mean, February is what you're doing in February. Oh, my God. What am I doing in February? Dry humping and French kissing. Yeah, so February is a big month. It's for married people.
Starting point is 00:52:09 I'm married, so it's going to be a good month for you. You can't have sex. You can only dry hump. You can dry hump and French kiss. And she's calling it dry humping and French kiss February. It's like a working title. You should keep the title and just say it a bunch, and then it'll just drive everybody crazy. No, it's great.
Starting point is 00:52:26 Dry Hump and French Kiss February. It's a tongue twister. It's a tongue twister, honey. Because you're going to be using your tongue. Okay, I got to warm up. French Kiss. You're disgusting. Because when you're married, you never dry hump and you never French kiss.
Starting point is 00:52:42 It's true. I'm just letting everyone know. Unless you're drunk. It's bringing the romance back. Yeah, you French kiss in a little drunkness. Anyway, you guys, you're welcome to get into it. I love it. You don't seem like you're a third member.
Starting point is 00:52:52 I don't know why I'm doing it because I'm not married and I don't need to. But I'm doing it to like... Because dry humping is fun. I think dry humping is fun sometimes. Yeah. I want to get back into it. Like grade 11 was so great. I want to get back into like pubescent, like dry humping.
Starting point is 00:53:07 And having them pre-jacket their pants. Yeah. This is going too far. Okay. Next one. Next topic. Second question is from Colleen. Colleen says, I dated a guy...
Starting point is 00:53:17 Is that how you say that? Colleen? Because my middle name is Colleen. and we said Colleen and you said Colleen I never said Colleen I said Colleen okay just checking all right Colleen says I dated a guy for two years who's
Starting point is 00:53:30 22 years older than me I'm 26 and he's 48 we broke up in March and he was my Monica getting over Richard oh it's not a sign for they don't get it I loved him because he was my first grown-up love we recently
Starting point is 00:53:46 reconnected because of me he owns the auto shop I take my car to I know he wants to get back together because he said he does but I'm apprehensive I've never loved anyone like I love him but I feel like I have so much life to live without him do I let him well if you marry him
Starting point is 00:54:02 and wait for him to die you'll still have a lot of do I let him back in and if I do how do I get him on my wave i.e. I want to travel the world and explore he's comfortable in a routine and staying where he is he's gonna get more comfortable when he can't move is fast. P.S. We've broken up for
Starting point is 00:54:20 nine months and reconnected literally this week. How old is she? She's 26 and he's 48. No, 22. Oh yeah, 26. He's 22 years older. So she dated him when she was 22 for two years. Didn't see him for a while. Now she's 26 and he's 48 and they've reconnected.
Starting point is 00:54:37 First of all, if you're going to marry or date this old guy, I want him, and I say this as the daughter of a man who owned an auto body shop to aim higher you know what i mean if you're gonna go for an old ball i want it to be an old ball with a yacht i want it to be a rich chanel ball okay auto body ball it's a no from me on the other
Starting point is 00:55:02 side of the coin my sister-in-law is 27 yeah my brother yeah he's 48 okay they got married this summer so it's very similar very similar very similar i think she's 27 how but is he but he is 48 48 or no he's very young like total kid at heart like they're like kind of hippies living hot and sure he's hot maybe losing some hair he's on the shorter side uh but he's a good looking guy and he's got a like everybody like loves him like he's one of those like he's lovably short and bald No, he's attractive He's a good looking guy This is your brother-in-law?
Starting point is 00:55:42 This is my brother So I just got a new sister-in-law this summer What do you think she's thinking? I have no idea I know they have a lot of fun together But that age difference always baffles me But they really do fit So I think it really depends on this guy
Starting point is 00:55:59 So they're on the same wavelength They're kind of on the same wavelength and like yeah like he's gone through a lot of shit and i don't really know her story as well but i feel like there's something about the two of them that works so maybe this guy is really young at heart and really fit and like a surfer type and like he's always running around malibu but he also owns the auto shop she said that he's comfortable in a routine and staying where he is okay so the staying where he is part that throws me yeah that means that he's probably boring and doesn't want to move yeah and then he's gonna that's a very more boring specific thing to add
Starting point is 00:56:34 i know and also audio auto body guys never have clean fingernails at what age he owns it he's not working on the cars he might be what age do men suffer from sciatica no not being able to get it up oh i feel like 50 that's my dream yeah but it's your dream but not when you're 26 no true She probably wants to have sex all the time. Not all the time at that. You're already drying up at that point every once in a while. This just concerns me. Do you want children, Colleen?
Starting point is 00:57:06 Yeah, you better not with this guy. Yeah, my brother's not having kids. He's already decided he's not having kids. Another 27-year-old girl. She knows, too. Yeah, she knows. I mean, she thinks she's going to change his mind. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:57:19 She's not going to change his sperm that aren't there anymore. So, Colleen, you better not want to have kids either. Yeah. unless he's ready like in this moment to make babies but then you're left
Starting point is 00:57:30 stuck in wherever he is not being able to travel because you're gonna get you know what I mean like but if you have all these
Starting point is 00:57:36 if you feel like you want to live a life and you feel like the partner is not gonna be able to keep up with you then she's gonna end up resenting him but total resentment you'll always have new tires
Starting point is 00:57:46 you're being a real dick about the auto body shop and your dad should be very disappointed in you just saying dad if you're listening to Lady Aang i told you not to and this is why honestly tires are so expensive i know my whole life growing up
Starting point is 00:58:00 i got everything on my cars for free and then i became an adult and didn't live in my hometown anymore and i was like what do you mean i'll change three hundred dollars mine was always free i thought this just magically happened okay the last question comes from bachelor's degree in taint bangs yes i don't know what that means that's a title we're gonna figure it out bang like bangs on your taint I don't know listen to the question but that's the title okay
Starting point is 00:58:30 she says I'm a huge fan of the show even during finals week after completing one of my few final term papers I decided to reward myself by listening to the newest episode of Lady Gang on my headphones during my last college class before exams things were going great life was good for
Starting point is 00:58:46 about two minutes I then reached into my bag to grab something when my arm gets caught and the headphone wire, causing it to rip out of the computer. I wish I could tell you the sound of one of your amazing sponsorship ads blasted through my classroom. But no. Yes, at full volume, Becca's voice blares, it looks like I'm growing bangs on my taint,
Starting point is 00:59:07 at which point I manage to turn the volume off. My question is, should I drop out of college two weeks before graduation or just light myself on fire? I love her. She should write for us if we ever get a magazine. yeah that's good writing first of all I don't remember this I don't remember your
Starting point is 00:59:26 taint growing bangs either I don't think it was an ad she said I wish it could have been an ad she wishes it was an ad but it was just you talking about your taint bangs can you imagine what sponsor let us save taint bangs it was Disney I think it must have been when I was talking about
Starting point is 00:59:42 how I didn't like shave or wax before a gyno appointment maybe yeah maybe i don't know the first only i love that you don't remember like such a term i don't remember either you're all there bangs on my visually as a director she sees it all i see is ken paves clip on no everything else is bald but just the bangs just flopping in the back

Starting point is 01:02:16 There's like you and Diane Martell. There's a lot of female directors out there now. It's like you don't remember them. If you don't know them right away, I guess because I'm a female director. I hate the term female director. No, you're just a director. Thank you. You're kicking ass.
