Hey guys, it's your Lady Gang, Becca Tobin, Kelty Knight, and Jack Vanek.
Thanks so much for subscribing on iTunes, and thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting
the great sponsors who make it possible for us to have this much fun with you for free
every week.
Well, what is this?
Welcome to the Lady Gang.
That's amazing.
Say that again.
The Lady Gang.
Things are about to change around here.
Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek.
Hi, everyone.
Hi, guys.
Hi.
I just realized I came up here with gum in my mouth, and I need to spit it out.
We're really professional.
We bring our own props because we're on the D-list.
Nobody, yeah, we don't have anybody bringing out stuff for us.
Yep, we're really prepared.
Welcome.
It's got so moody in here, guys.
Thanks for coming and coming to the very first ever live Lady Gang podcast.
For those of you who don't know us, shame on you.
And for those of you who do, as you know, I'm Becca Tobin, actress, blogger, exotic dancer, baker, you know, love maker.
Always adding one thing.
I always add one thing to the list.
We do a fun fact every week, and my fun fact today is that I used to tour with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Mic drop.
Woo!
And Jack VanEck to my right.
She is the clothing designer extraordinaire, CEO, girl boss.
What is your interesting fact?
My fun fact is that Ashley Simpson once tried to beat me up.
Can we get more?
I was at a club in Vegas, and it was maybe when I was 20 years old,
and Fall Out Boy was there, Jim Clastro was there.
It was that whole realm of people, and Pete, her ex-husband, came and said hi to me.
She must have thought that he was hitting on me,
and I look over, and I just see fists flying in the air towards me.
Everybody was super wasted, and I thought she was trying to dance with me.
Was this with her new face?
It was new-ish.
Which face was it?
Which face?
It was a nose job face.
It was the good face.
It was the early face.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was a better face.
Okay.
Kelty Knight, if you don't know.
I need it.
I need it.
Follow her on Instagram, guys.
Go thirsty.
Follow me on Instagram at Kelty Knight.
She's on every red carpet, entertainment journalist.
She's BFFs with George Clooney and all those big stars.
And Angie.
And Angie.
And your fun fact is, when she was a Rockette, they had to add extra material to all of her
bodysuits because her lady parts were so voluptuous.
I saved that one just for PopFest.
I love the choice of word voluptuous.
It is.
Very nice.
Some people, God's fair, no boobs, lady parts.
Is that fair?
Is that a good thing?
I don't know if that's a good thing.
Is it called a chubby bunny?
No, no.
Or meat flaps or something?
I don't know.
The beef curtain?
Yeah, that's what it was.
Welcome.
Hi, guys.
Hello to the lady gang.
Okay, well.
coming up well we're very excited about good week bad week yeah that's the next thing i wanted you
to give me my good week bad week intro okay how does it sound it's time for good week yes it is
bad week oh no okay kelty why don't you kick us off okay well everyone good week bad week is where
we go around and we talk about all our best moments and our worst moments and they're really
good. Um, I want to start with my good week because I'm so disappointed, but I had a horrendous
week and I have my good week is very bleak. So basically here's what happened. I was on
assignment and my assignment was to be at a martial arts gym and at the gym, they had a giant
foam pit and I got to do a forward jump into the foam pit. Have you ever been in a foam pit?
it's like my dream i have always wanted to go to that place where you get to pay to jump in the
foam pits it doesn't hurt at all but you also get a little stuck anyway foam pit love it made me so
happy in my soul did you get head lice probably that's where you get head yeah there's probably
some 100 percent were there panty liners floating around in there jack can you pop the champagne
oh yeah yeah come on i'm so good at this okay um my bad week okay so everyone who doesn't know me
i'm super thirsty for press and i really love it so much and i was really excited because i got
this great denim romper and i wore it on the red carpet and i felt so cute and so i'm walking down
the carpet and i did a special braid in my hair and i was like oh my god i am so cute they're
eating me up and they're like kelty kelty and they're taking my picture i was like i'm on fire
and so then i did the sexy butt shot the like you know over the shoulder and yeah and i did the over
the shoulder and then the photographers went crazy and i was like have i made my way up from
the Zed list. I'm on the A list all of a sudden. And they're going, they're like from the back,
more of the back. And I was like, oh my God, I'm so fierce. So anyway, I do the whole event. And
then I go home that night and I do what I do every night, which is like 10 PM deep Google of myself
to see like what's out there. And I Googled the photos. And the reason they went crazy for me bad
week is because this zipper of my romper was completely down. And all that was exposed was
my deep like Spanx, you know, like it wasn't even a sexy thong. It was like, you know, that color
that Spanx is it's like everyone knows it it's like am I what it's putty that's the color like
putty and it's like shiny and then like the little tag and that's out there forever so
Getty Images like when I'm super famous they're gonna pull that and be like stars they're just
like us zipper down wow can I get a round of applause yes thank you beat that girls
these are super heavy it's like a workout while you're drinking I've got super luxurious glasses
is just for PopFest. Shout out to Mackenzie Childs. All right, Jack. My turn? Okay. I'm saving the best
for last. Oh, great. So my good week, I found out that I'm kind of an asshole because my good week
is just me finding joy in somebody else's bad week. Yeah. So I was in New York recently with
a friend of mine that's like a hippy dippy new agey sort of person, right? And she's going out
to get coffee one morning and she texted me and she's like, oh my God, Jack, I found a piece of
rose quartz. It's amazing. It's a sign from the universe. Like I'm going to find love. I can't
wait. Like this is going to be the best week ever. And I'm like, cool. That sounds great. You know,
whatever. And she comes home and shows me the rose quartz and it's crack. Crack? Crack cocaine?
Crack in a vial. Like crack crystals. Shut up. In a vial. And I'm like, I'm so sorry that like
your sign from the universe is now. How much did you pay for that? I don't know. She got it for
free man someone just gave her a bag full of crap she found it on the ground no it was a vial was
she on skid row i don't it's new york oh okay wow wow i found so much joy and that was amazing
um not bad not bad my bad week i've been saving this bad week for two months
for two months for this podcast again jack's breaking the rules i'm breaking bad week this
happened to me what happened all right guys it's so good i had to save it so i'm gonna bring it
back two months when my boyfriend and I were in Mexico for a vacation. And we're staying in this
palapa on the beach. It's amazing. We're like steps away from the ocean. We're steps away from an
amazing restaurant. And we're going to bed the first night. We're like, oh, this is perfect.
What could go wrong? It's amazing. And I'm sleeping. And I get woken up at 5 a.m. by Scott
going, oh shit, shit, shit, shit, oh shit. And I'm like, wait, what is happening? And he goes,
Jacqueline, there's a gigantic bat in our room. Massive, massive, massive bat. And I look up like
right as he says it, and these like velociraptor wings are like flapping right by me. And I was
like, oh my God. And I've learned from this podcast that like my fight or flight kind of response is
to crawl in a ball and like hope that scott takes care of it so that's what i did except for under
the covers and i had like one eye open watching it happen and he turned into like bat hunter
grabbed a pillow and was swatting the bat out of our apartment wow what happened at the end
you got it out probably had sex or something i meant about the bat not about the end of the night
you idiot oh the bat left but i cried so great jack great one can i get a round of applause
a little less a little less applause we should do an applause-o-meter yeah applause-o-meter
what did you think of kelsey's good week oh god no i haven't gone yet no i haven't gone yet i'm
raising the bar you guys okay my bad week so i know a lot of you who listen know that i have
some tummy troubles and I thought about it long and hard and I was like I have a choice I can do
one story or I can do another yeah you were even thinking about that this morning I was and then
I felt like be you be authentically you and it's what we put it's what we promote here at the lady
gang so this has to do with pooping so I'm very sorry for everybody my parents are in the audience
so. Shouts out to the Vanix. Okay. So I am lactose intolerant and I for 30 years didn't realize I was
fighting it. And so I had many, many like emergency trips to the restroom that sometimes ended
successfully and sometimes did not. So I have been an adult and I turned 30 and I was going to own
my dietary restrictions. So I have cut dairy out of my life. And I go to lunch the other day with
my fiance. Zach's in the back. Hey, babe. And there's a split pea soup on the menu. And I'm
like, that sounds delicious. But Becca, be the adult and ask, excuse me, sir, is there any dairy
in this soup? I did it. And he's like, let me check. And he walks away. And I see him not talk
to one person not look at one piece of paper nothing it was like he walked away to think
about it so he comes back and against my better judgment when he tells me no i don't think so
there's like a little butter and i was like okay fine i'll have a cup of pea soup please also who
eats pea soup it was delicious so gross i know like that that's one thing on the menu i'm getting
ready for my wedding okay i'm thin but not thin enough okay so i ordered the split pea soup i
thank you thank you so much okay so I eat my soup it's so good and then I go my separate ways and
Zach goes home and I go to the makeup store to like stock up on this lip gloss actually
so I'm in the store and all of a sudden I was like no no no this is not happening to me
sweating, sweating, sweating, cold sweats. And I'm like, I'm not pooping in the NARS bathroom.
This store is this big and it's an employee's only bathroom. So I was like, I'm going to hold
it in. I'm also going to be an adult and I'm going to make it home. It's a 15 minute drive.
How bad can it be? And I start going up the hill and I call Zach and I'm like, babe, it happened.
It's happening again. And he's like, I'll leave the door unlocked for you and you can just run
in and go to the downstairs bathroom. I barely made it, but my underwear did not. Why are
you looking at me? Okay. So that was my bad week. My good week is just going to make Kelty
night fall to pieces. I'm so excited for that. Okay. For those of you who don't know, I was
on a website called thefappening.com. My nude photos, yes, love you girl. My nude photos were
all over the worldwide web, vagina and all, everything. I was in a Santa hat because I'm
very thematic and I like the holidays. So my nude photos everywhere. Um, we, you know, that cleared
up and it went away and there were like really big celebrities involved in it. So like, you know,
I got a little overshadowed by Jennifer Lawrence, but it's, like, not that big of a deal.
Well, I opened up my phone this morning, and I have a Google alert on myself because...
Everyone does.
You have to.
After your vagina's on the internet, you're like, I should get on top of this.
I should get ahead of the news.
So the hacker who stole the nude photos was sentenced to 18 months in prison on Thursday.
Victory.
That's not the best part.
I'm listed in this article after Kim Kardashian and Rihanna.
Woo, Becca.
That's amazing.
Who's on the D list now?
You really made it.
Honestly, I'm jealous that my nude photos haven't leaked yet because I think it would really help me get more famous.
I think you should do like a pop-up nude photo shoot.
Should I wear a Santa hat?
Ho, ho, ho.
Yes.
That should have been my tweet.
Oh, damn it.
Oh, damn it.
It can happen again.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, what's going on?
Now, here's the lady gang.
Our guest today's Wikipedia page starts with...
Can you focus?
I'm sorry.
It's our biggest deal we've ever had.
These things, I'm wearing a slippery dress.
It's all falling.
Our guest today's Wikipedia page starts with...
Not to be confused with pop star Jamie Lynn Spears.
as if we ever could she's one of the most in demand actresses of her generation and launched
to instant fame when she played the iconic role of meadow soprano in the emmy award-winning hit tv
series the sopranos which i was obsessed with she recently starred in the movie justice and
loserville and we are obsessed with her obviously on entourage she's a mama a broadway star an author
and the current face of the reimagine myself campaign as an and is also a major inspiration
to the entire world after coming forward with her diagnosis of ms welcome to the lady game we
are so excited i could barely look you in the eye backstage jamie lynn sigler
hi guys thank you so much i'm gonna frame this intro and just put it on my nightstand for when
i feel bad about myself and just read that it's your own message honestly your braid is so
beautiful i didn't do it but thank you that's like a like a page in us weekly like a great
goals. My friend Rihanna, I think she's a pretty big hairstylist. She literally came to my house
and did this in seven minutes. Seven minutes in hair heaven. Yeah, she's good at it. Would you
like some champagne? Yes. Duh, that's the only reason she's here. So for those of you that are
Lady Gang fans, you know we do the same few questions with our celebrity guests every week
and then we play a game. And so I'm very excited about what we have ready for you. First, we want
to start with your ish moment. Let's start with the positive. The ish moment is the moment in
hollywood when you felt like i have made it i am the hottest thing since sliced bread everyone wants
my photo i don't have to fake it my dress is fierce my hair is fierce or whatever that was
what was your most celebrated ish moment um i don't feel like many can relate to this so i
apologize um because i can't relate to it anymore but i did it once uh the very last year of
sopranos we were nominated for an emmy and they also did like a tribute to the show like this
whole video montage and the jersey boys came out and sang and they had us enter the stage from
below like coming up these stairs and i see like all these stars and like it was like my one moment
i'll probably ever get like that where everyone's just staring at me and it was just like holy
shit like this is insane and that was my ish moment what did you wear i was wearing a pink
jay mendel like very fairy princessy chiffon dress i always appreciated that with you because
you were young but you were like i'm on point not not in the beginning if you go back i've never had
nude pictures but i had a nip slip when i took my father with me to the emmys oh no i wore a black
leather dress was the first time a designer had given me anything my very first emmys i was on
the red carpet somebody's like what are you wearing and i was like laundry by shelly seagal
it's from Bloomingdale's like I had no way like I slept in braids the night before so my hair would
be curly like no clue so the one year that I got dressed up I was so excited I was in this like
sexy black leather dress my dad was with me and I put chicken cutlets in so it would like fit really
good but what it really did as I was sweating with the leather was make my real boob come up
above the chicken cutlet so there's photos of me posing with my dad with my nipple just like
sitting nicely. Yeah. That's my other ish moment. Bad week. Um, okay. What is your Hollywood
heartbreak? What is the moment that you auditioned for the role of Rose in Titanic and didn't get it
or like, you know, your heart was broken. You thought, you know what? I'm done. This business
is too hard. I'm packing up. I'm leaving. I'm taking my box of headshots with me.
I mean, I feel like every other week I'm like, I'm, I'm done. I hate this. I'm,
i never want to act again um it was for the josie and the pussycats movie oh yeah in my head i
remember getting really close to getting it but i in reality i was probably like so far away from
being close at all um but yeah that was a real bummer for me who got the part evan rachel e cook
right yeah yeah one were you against her a ton uh i wasn't but like later in life we we tend to see
each other in rooms now like hey girl yeah we give hope you don't get it you get those people
that you're not friends with but see all the time you're like what's up yeah here we are again i
love that um i'm a big fan of mirror messages who has a mirror message oh my god this is so sad
three people by the way that was the most embarrassing thing in my life so you know when
you want to be inspired and you write something on your mirror you print out an inspirational
quote you tape it to your mirror so that every morning you're like i am beautiful i can do it
No one has that?
Oh, okay.
We got four, five.
Well, do you have a mirror message?
Do you have an inspirational mantra that you live your life by?
I have one to bring back my dad again.
He's always told me in my life, limit your shoulda, woulda, couldas.
So anytime I feel like I'm taking a risk or anything like that,
he's always encouraging me to just go and follow my intuition
and just you never want to say a shoulda, woulda, coulda.
So, you know, whether they worked out or not,
in hindsight I was always doing the best I could
and so that's kind of what I
use in my life when I need it. That's a good one.
That's a really good one. Because it's not cheesy.
No, it doesn't rhyme
or anything, yeah. Some of
Kelsey's are pretty stellar. Yeah, or it's not
some like crazy metaphor. Share one.
You know what? I am doing my
best at my life, okay?
There you go. It was so
embarrassing the day that Becca came to my office
and she went in my bathroom at my office.
That was so good. And she Snapchatted
in my mirror message oh my god there was like many mirror there were so many but the best one
was not the mirror message it was the list of new year's resolutions it was like september at the
time she's like has a list of things she's gonna accomplish in 2016 and on the list was grow
beautiful healthy hair i mean it's looking great um uh not to be a downer but you do do an incredible
amount of work, uh, on behalf of MS 2.5 million people across the world are affected by it. How
has the diagnosis changed your life? And then how has it affected your life in Hollywood? Do you
even care about Hollywood anymore? Um, well, I feel like I cared less about Hollywood once I
became a mom, to be quite honest, cause then it's just, you know, everything's put in perspective
a lot more, but, uh, you know, I had my MS for 15 years as a secret. So it limits me in my life.
I have physical limitations that I have that have sort of manifested over the years that bum me out.
I definitely have my down days about them.
But since coming forward with my diagnosis, A, number one, it's sort of like released the stress that I had of always trying to hide it and released the fear that I had around it.
You know, I've worked a lot since.
Have I worked probably as much as maybe I would have?
I don't know, but I don't want to know.
you know, I just sort of live the life the best that I can. And I've released my judgments about
how everyone else was going to judge me. You know, people have been so warm and so welcoming,
and I've sort of found in many ways, I guess, like a new role in my life of being this MS advocate,
because one of the things that surprised me the most when I came out about it was a lot of people
on like Twitter and social media were writing me that also live with the disease and saying like,
I too haven't told my coworkers or my friends or my family.
And I thought, oh, wow, it's not even so much the public eye,
but it's just about, I think more in general,
just the acceptance of having the disease in your life in general.
It's just a really hard pill to swallow.
It's a hard thing to think about.
But because of the help of my great support system and my husband and my son,
I think I've been able to sort of figure out a way to live a very full life
with the disease and sort of not allow it to define me, which I have done in the past.
And so I'm very human. I'm very open about it. I have my good days. I have my bad days. And more so
my MS is going to look very different than other people's MS, but the emotional journey that we go
through is very much the same. And so I'm always been a very open and honest person. And now I feel
like that my biggest secret is out. I can really be truly authentically who I am and we can sort
of share in this journey together. And hopefully one day MS will be a memory for all of us. But
until then, I think it's made me a stronger person and sort of taken me down a path that I maybe
wouldn't have gone before. So I hate to say it, but I guess in some ways, I guess I have to be
grateful for it. And I'll never know why I had it until I came out about it. And so it's been all
good since cheers to you this is an arm workout you're listening to the lady gang so we love a
game you guys it took us some who thought of the name of this game me it was me i was amazing no
it wasn't so you know we always play i still don't know the name so it wasn't me yeah you did
we're so excited about it this is called the yes or soprano quiz oh good job jack i appreciate that
that's really good i felt really good about it so these are some things that are happening in
pop culture and around the world and we're gonna vote if it's a yes or a soprano okay we'll start
with this two people loved target so much on their one year anniversary they dressed back up in their
bride and groom's outfit and took recreated wedding photos at Target.
Becca?
Did they get paid for that?
No.
No.
They're regulars.
Were they in a wedding dress?
I'm going to say yes.
What?
I appreciate it.
I love Target.
I do too.
And I think that that's great.
And they're still together going strong and celebrating at their favorite place.
Whatever.
Yeah, ain't no shame in their game.
I don't hate it.
I mean, if I love Target that much, I'd probably do it.
I buy all my underwear at Target.
And you know I have to do that a lot.
I'm going to say Soprano because I think it's super obnoxious when people dress up in their wedding dress again every year to celebrate their wedding.
We already had to live through this once on Instagram.
Please don't ever make us live through it again.
Was this their one-year anniversary?
Yeah, it was their one-year anniversary.
Oh, I mean.
I have friends in Canada that dress up in their wedding dress and take a portrait every year.
no i think maybe for your tenure sure at target your three doesn't matter
jamie i'm gonna say soprano yes girl um i think there's many ways you can celebrate your love of
target that's great but like i mean your your wedding dress and your tux like go to a pretty
field of flowers like i don't get it no i don't i'm sorry but i don't want to like dim anyone's
Like, Hutter could take a picture at your favorite place to celebrate.
Well, let's do, like, where we spend the most time is on our couch with Netflix with me passed out on his shoulder.
That's us.
Wonderful.
Which would be an amazing photo.
Like, still married, and we're like, yeah, that's what it looks like.
Keeping the romance alive.
Okay.
Apparently, I know this has been cool for a minute, but it's even cooler now.
Dim sum.
You said that with disgust.
No, I don't even know what it is.
Is it where you eat, like, brains?
It's dumplings.
But what's in the dumpling?
It's raw?
No, it's cooked.
It's just a different word for a dumpling.
Sopran, wait, yes or soprano?
I'm going to have to say soprano because I really don't like,
I went to a dumpling place in New York City a long time ago,
so it's not, like, a new thing.
No, it's just, like, a trendy new name for the same thing.
But it was called dim sum at the time.
Oh, well then maybe not.
It's always been dim sum.
So anyway, I go to this place and I'm like eating and I'm like, yeah, it's fine.
I'd rather have P.F. Chang's, but whatever.
And they're like, no, this is how you properly eat dim sum.
You like bite it open and then you like drink the nasty juice.
That's a soup dumpling.
You have to poke it and then drink it?
That's dim sum.
Oh, wait.
Jack doesn't know anything.
Jack is like, you're so wrong.
Jack, you're so pretty.
Thank you.
Anyway, I did not enjoy the whole, I don't like drinking liquids that are soaking meat in them.
If it's a soup dumpling, then that's a Soprano, but I still don't know if that's dim sum.
You're always breaking the rules.
Can someone clear this up for us?
Somebody Google dim sum.
Anyone on Google?
What is it?
I love dim sum.
But is dim sum...
Is it a soup dumpling?
No.
Okay.
No.
Exactly.
A little trace of deliciousness.
It's appetizers, right?
It's basically.
Yes.
Yeah, that sounds delicious.
Okay, I'm going to take this from you.
It's a no from me.
Soprano.
I would always eat appetizers if I could.
So it's a yes.
Me too, girl.
Okay.
Next.
This is a trend back in Hollywood right now.
Wide leg pants.
All the skinny girls in Hollywood that are like, I work out and I do yoga, but really
you just eat air are walking down the red carpet in their wide leg trousers jack why don't you
start because you're a fashion icon i love wide leg pants wide leg pants and a crop top there's
nothing better it's the best outfit someone tweeted me yesterday and they said you need to
tell jack to stop the crop hashtag stop the crop no she's older i wouldn't even know who you were
if I saw you in not a crop top.
I know, this feels weird to me.
It looks weird to me.
Jamie, wide leg pant.
I love a wide leg pant,
especially when they're high-waisted
because they cover that little area of your stomach
that's so hard to get flat.
The fupa?
Yes, the fupa, exactly.
One night when I was really drunk with my friends,
I tweeted just fupa.
And I thought I was such a rebel.
I remember thinking I was so badass.
That is amazing.
I think I got one response with a question mark.
With a WTF.
But to go back to your question, yes.
I like wide leg pants.
That's a yes.
Whatever.
I'm going to break the rules.
I'm a yes.
Wait, wait.
You're going to break the rules?
Kelty Knight is breaking the rules right now?
I'm going to say, no, I'm not.
I'm going to say, I don't like to break the rules.
I'm going to say soprano because every time I wear them, I look in the mirror and I'm like, I am so cute.
And then I call a paparazzi on myself.
And when they come and they put my pictures online, I always look gross.
And, like, have a camel toe.
They do not look good on me.
Yeah.
They're like, you have to get the right shot to get a good picture or else they make you look cute.
You can't control it when the paparazzi is following you because you called them.
Becca?
I've been boycotting pants lately just because I turned 30 and everything changed.
And I feel like the longer I go without putting on a pair of jeans, the longer my denial continues about my body changing.
Um, but I also wore a wide leg pair of pants to the Beyonce concert recently, felt the
same way that Kelty did.
I was like, I still got it.
And then I saw paparazzi pictures and I looked like 1994 threw up and like took a grown model
and squashed her down to size.
I like it.
Yeah.
Um, okay.
A guy in Portland, Portland, Portland, Portland.
he was arrested for dressing up like a tree
and blocking traffic and then he went
back out and then
it was amazing because he just had arms
he might be missing his vial of crack
that you're talking about
I got it for him I love him
okay Becca
wait you didn't finish the story
no that's it a guy in Portland
was arrested for dressing up like a tree and blocking
traffic is all I have
and then he went back after he got arrested
he got like told don't and then he went back out
after he's such a rebel
He got arrested or he got told don't?
No, he got told don't.
He went out again.
Then he got arrested.
And they were, like, taking the tree away in handcuffs.
It was amazing.
Was it Leonardo DiCaprio?
That guy won't shut up about the environment.
I'm so over it.
So that's a no for me.
I love this guy so much.
Always a yes.
It's a yes for me.
It's a yes.
High fashion crocs.
They were all over Fashion Week.
And here's how they make them high fashion if you haven't seen this yet.
It's a croc.
But then they take, like, a bejewel, and they put it in the little hole.
And you can, like, buy the Chanel, like, crock hole.
I think it's just a jewel.
A bejewel?
High fashion crocs.
Becca.
No, I'm starting with you.
High fashion crocs.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
It's a soprano.
It's a soprano.
This was actually a thing?
Yes.
I didn't see it.
That's terrifying.
But I feel like it's something that I'd wear, so I say yes.
We have photo evidence.
Is it a heel?
Does it have a heel, too?
Is it a kitten heel?
That is a kitten heel.
That's a kitten heel and a croc and a bejewel.
Becca?
F no.
Okay.
That is everything we hate in a shoe.
That's everything I hate.
Last one.
Apparently, you're going to be able to get dessert at Chipotle.
Now.
Zach, can you confirm that?
He's a frequent flyer.
Jack?
I have alcohol there now.
Yeah.
So, hold on.
Dude.
Enough with the check.
Yes.
Yes or no?
Yes.
God.
Sure.
That's not the game.
Yes.
Becca, don't be a rule breaker.
Yes.
I'm going to say Soprano because I don't like Chipotle because they put cilantro in the
rice and you can't pick it out.
Oh, I also hate that.
I'm going to say yes.
It's one less stop to do after Chipotle.
That's true.
Okay.
It's time for our Like a Lady question of the week.
I saved this one for you.
What crime would you commit for your best friend?
Like how far would it go?
Yeah.
Like bury the body or slash tires?
Right.
Oh.
Well, I have peed in someone's purse.
But that wasn't for a friend.
That was for yourself.
That was for myself.
Whose purse?
Her name was Megan.
You need to listen to our podcast.
She knows who she is.
I think she's dancing on a cruise ship right now.
We're at Pop Fest.
Shouts out to Megan.
The crime you would commit.
Yeah.
I would key a car.
Okay.
Slash a tire.
Yeah, I'd slash some tires, key a car, do an insane stalking situation.
Bury a body?
No.
No.
That's their own problem.
Maybe.
I'm not getting in that.
I'm a loyal friend.
No, I would.
I'm not helping you.
I'm with you in this sort of the vandalizing.
I don't want to hurt anybody.
Just their things.
Yeah.
I love vandalizing.
It is fun.
What have you vandalized?
What haven't I?
I want to do anything because I don't like to break the rules.
Okay.
That's true.
What's up next?
Oh, I might steal a chapstick from the CVS.
But one time my best friend did steal a chapstick from the CVS,
and then she was never allowed to go back.
And I felt bad forever.
She could have a lip smacker.
That happened to me.
You stole it?
Yeah.
Oh.
And you got caught?
Got caught.
And then a chapstick at the CVS.
Just lip care.
It's always lip care.
Like, why?
It's the cheapest stuff you can buy.
I feel like you want to spend $4 on a chapstick.
And I just couldn't pick a color, so I was like, I guess I'm going to take all of them.
But I was in high school, and we got caught, and he was like, don't ever come back here again.
And I was with my two girlfriends, and the CVS was on the corner of where I went to high school.
So one morning, and I was petrified.
And one morning, my mom was driving me to school, and I was like, oh, I need to stop and get, like, a water for ballet class or something stupid.
And I was like, let's go to the Publix, another location, whatever.
And she's like, no, we're just going to pull into the CVS.
And she's pulling into the CVS.
And I'm like, I can't go into the CVS.
Meanwhile, this guy had no idea who I was.
But I was panicked.
You've told this story before.
I have, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
I don't remember it.
It was during, we had a whole stealing conversation.
Yeah.
Oh.
Yeah.
Okay, well.
You stopped listening because you're so nervous about getting the podcast moving?
We're already supposed to be into the next segment.
How are we doing on time?
We're supposed to be next to the segment.
Jack, it's your turn.
Here we go.
Okay.
Before we start.
It's stressful when you're the one in charge.
I feel Kelty's nerves.
I feel your anxiety.
So do I.
It, like, permeates the room.
Does anybody else feel how nervous she is right now?
Can you see it?
It's hard when you're an A-type person.
Can I get a hell yeah?
Hell yeah.
Thank you.
Wow.
A lot of A-types.
I could barely get these guys out of the house today.
It's true.
Jack almost forgot to bring the glasses.
I should have.
Jack almost forgot to bring her dress.
That's true.
Hey, ladies.
Funky.
Ask the Lady Gang.
All right.
Okay.
It's time for Ask the Lady Gang.
So before we start, you guys can get 20% off of jackvanek.com with code LADYGANG.
And I see one of my flannels in the very front row.
Too lazy to be crazy.
Turn around.
Do a spin.
Woo.
Okay.
So for this part of our podcast, we have users, we have our lady king write in questions about
life, love, and whatever, and we're giving them questionable advice.
Great advice.
Great advice.
We're trying.
We give great advice.
Look at how figured out we have figured out life.
Jamie might be the go-to gal on this.
So don't listen to our answers.
I've had half a glass of champagne, so I'm good to go.
Ready to go.
Do you need more?
Not yet.
I'll tell you.
I do.
I'm ready.
No, no, no, no, no.
That's not how you pour.
Tip the glass.
She's a professional drinker.
Listen to Jack.
Okay.
Okay.
So our first question comes from Lauren, and she says, I've been with my husband for over
eight years.
We have a six-month-old and a 20-month-old.
Ever since I've had our babies, I have felt insecure with my body.
I'm not overweight, but things definitely shifted after pregnancy.
I now have a bit of cellulite on my ass.
I seriously have not let him see my ass or take a peek since having the babies.
So what should I do to feel confident and comfortable in front of my man?
Mama, Jamie.
Yes.
Okay.
Well, I get it.
My husband's eight years younger than me.
So I, from time to time, will have, like, that insecurity creep in of, you know, I'm 35.
Like, girl, you think 30 is bad.
Wait until 35.
Oh, amen.
Shit's just dropping.
But you'll start to wear Spanx under your jeans.
Like, it's not good.
but um I get I get it I sympathize um so I want her to feel heard however my husband has been
like a great teacher for me where I didn't necessarily be like you can't see my ass but
like I've been more hesitant to like show things or myself like since having my son and whatever
and he said to me like it's more sexy to me if you are just like vulnerable and open and act
sexy i don't give a shit about what's going on like my eyes don't judge you and you have to
allow me to feel that way about you so i think that she just needs to really let her man
like love her the way he has i mean she has two kids he still clearly wants to
get it in go to funky town honestly i just want to see if the ladies out here can relate there
is nothing worse than the first time you realize that you have cellulite like you're in your 20s
and you're like i'm so cute i'm so cute and you're like checking yourself out in your bikini and then
you like pulse your butt to be strong and all of a sudden there's just like cellulite and like all
at the back and you're like or what about when you like wear your bikini at home or your bathing
suit at home or your shorts at home and they look good and then you go in the sun oh you get that
direct sunlight wait a minute who the hell let me out of my house like this it's bad i have not put
on a pair of shorts in four years i know you've talked about that because of the sun because of
direct sunlight yeah if i could walk around with shade i would wear daisy dukes everywhere but once
that sunlight hits you i hear you spray tan spray tan helps i'm very spray tanned right now i am so
orange um it looks good on you oh thank you i kind of i got called donald trump last week so
yeah she did podcast um i have to say that i mean if they've been married and they have kids like
he fell in love with her for like who she is not because she didn't have cellulite on her legs like
two years before and also i don't think men know what cellulite is i really don't they just see
like a general kind of outline and they like it and that's it i've said to scott a million times
i'm like oh i just wish i didn't have cellulite in here he's like baby don't have cellulite what
you talking about i'm like well i do he's looking at your vagina guilty you're saying he's guilty
oh don't act all prude now my parents are here oh sorry mom well you talked about having sex
after a bad attack i didn't know how to respond to that question continue jack sorry um okay
Our second question comes from Connor, and she, I think it's a she, says, I'm 23, just
graduated from college, and recently fulfilled my dream by moving to New York City four months
ago.
I'm interning without pay, and I'm facing some huge financial struggles.
My family and friends think I should move back to the Midwest and save money and pay
off my student loans.
My head is telling me that moving home is the smart decision, but my heart is saying
that I've always wanted to work in the theater industry and live in New York and should find
a way to stay.
What should I do?
Becca Tobin, former Broadway star.
Yes, former Broadway star.
And then before that, former spray tanner and foot model and babysitter.
No one should have ever hired me for that.
So many jobs.
Here's what I'm going to say.
There is absolutely no reason for you to run back home so that you're like, stop stressing about your student loans.
You will find a way.
Like if your heart is in it and you really do feel like this is your passion and you can't think about doing anything else that's going to bring you joy, then there's a reason that you feel that way and you just make it work.
I can remember waking up at like 5 a.m. in New York City and standing outside in the freezing cold and waiting to get seen on a cattle call for a show that paid like $200 a week, which I was like so pumped to actually get.
And I got like one out of every hundred of those.
so it's like you find your ways to make the money and you just as soon as you kind of get your
stride it's just it comes easy and then things start kind of coming together and and you find
survival jobs you have to do it like you can't run home i'm so glad that i was dirt poor in new
york because i was so poor that i couldn't afford like an avocado and i was always worried how i'd
pay my rent i lived in a closet but now like things like this like being like oh my god i got
to rent the runway you know what i mean or like i got to have champagne or like anything in your
life you have so much gratitude because you're because you struggled so hard to get there and
you know good answer kalty so inspiring okay our last question chase your dreams never give up
oh here the mirror messages are coming you can do it okay our last question life is like a butterfly
sorry your life is like a butterfly you said i don't even understand that moth and then it turns
into beauty oh my god butterflies she's so pretty you mean you okay i just want in we have five
minutes left thank oh my god you're wondering how we're gonna figure out time okay a moth to
a butterfly i think we have one question left maybe we should get back to it
one time we're gonna like totally switch the whole podcast lineup up and we're gonna freak
you out i think we're gonna start with ass lady gang and you're gonna have a heart attack she will
she'll self-combust okay last question last question comes from erica she says one of my
closest friends just got married i was in the bridal party and so was her brother we ended up
getting super wasted that night that day and sleeping together that night but nothing happened
after that ooh sounds fun she found out recently from mutual friends who knew about this and she
was devastated she sent me a long message about how i betrayed her trust and broke one of her
cardinal rules as a friend she then said that because of this situation she does not want to
be friends anymore i don't want to lose her as a friend and i don't know what to do to gain her
friendship back woof i mean she's thought about that before is that a rule that you don't like
Like, if you sleep with somebody's brother, that's bad?
I mean.
What did you say?
It shouldn't be a rule.
I think it's a little harsh to, like, not be her friend because she slept with her brother.
I mean, it's not like it was her boyfriend or anything.
I don't know.
I mean, to me, like, I was, like, stoked when my brother would, like, possibly be interested in my friends because I was close with my brother.
So maybe her and her brother have, like, a tricky relationship.
maybe they make out sometimes
maybe she jealous
maybe you hit it on the head
that happens
that's weird
what state is this from?
probably my home state of Georgia
I don't know I feel like a friend that would
cut off a friendship
especially like they're older
so they're getting married or whatever
so it's not like you're 17
hopefully so if this is like a lifelong friend and that one you know circumstance is going to
end your friendship then maybe she was kind of a shitty friend to begin with also your friend
should be happy that you found some happiness being single at a wedding because it is so sad
to go to a wedding and experience someone else's awesome love story when you're alone you know so
like good for her she didn't have to cry in the toilet at the end of the night and it's even worse
to be the single person at the wedding
and not get like anything
because people are so drunk. It's like such
a perfect time to
you know, hopefully. Stella was just
trying to get her groove. There you go.
But the advice, she's
asking for advice on how to handle this.
I think we're saying that like
she was wrong. Write an
email. I think, yeah, like write a heartfelt
email and be like, you mean the world to me and blah, blah, blah,
blah, blah. And then be like, you know,
we all get drunk and make stupid decisions
and, you know,
at least it wasn't your dad
I don't know
it could be worse
but like
that's ridiculous right
that's ridiculous
on that note
