Starting point is 00:00:00 well what is this welcome to the lady gang that's amazing say that again the lady gang things are about to change around here each week we catch up with hollywood's hottest girl posse kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanik hello hello hello welcome to the lady gang i am becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty night who is dressed as toddlers and tiaras meets ice skating competition meets dance power stars what's the like dance competition like the big showstoppers showstopper yeah what's happening with you if if if this is your first time listening to lady gang i strongly suggest you go and go back and listen to a different episode because this is this one for the lifers right now because a lot is
Starting point is 00:00:46 going on and we just like really we need to get together and talk to each other and talk to you but I just did an interview with Kelsey ballerini at our hotel for her new album, which is very beautiful. And I had this like ridiculous flower denim thing and it's Friday, which is like, it's not a wig day for me. I mean, it could have been a wig day, but I don't like to wear my wigs in public. I like to just wear them on E news where it's like my safe home. And so, and so I was like, can I just have a slicked back, like, kind of like bun.
Starting point is 00:01:12 And this is a hairstyle I wear a lot, but it wasn't my necessarily like regular hair person. And he's like a little bit more of like an artiste. artiste and so as he started to do each section with its own gel i was like like i literally could have just put my hair in a messy bun and been like it goes like it's fine i have right now like a full multi the the front of the hair is in a twisty that goes into the back bun and then he was taking so long to craft the whole thing that then i was like i gotta go but there was still the bun was all out so then he twisted the bun it's very tight it's very crunchy and i think i could do
Starting point is 00:01:49 the um i've ever seen those girls that do the synchronized swimming on tiktok that's what i was just trying to take out there it's where it's like your hair and like pulling it off i have no hair and the only thing i asked was like can you make sure my bang goes down by my ears because i have like a really big bald spot on both sides of my head it's full on display full full bald spots this is like my least anyway i don't like to criticize anyone's work um but this is like unacceptable hair well for the year of 2024 it's not just the hair it's like the hair with that exact makeup look like you're full glammed and then there's just no hair to to match it looks like your head is awaiting a wig like yes the final piece of this but it in fact is not it's
Starting point is 00:02:33 very slick so i'm gonna hate and the interview was amazing kelsey was so good she's been on the podcast before if you want to go back and listen to that but like it was such a great interview and she was so giving and we talked about so many different things and i'm just like i'm gonna the side shot of this is like gonna be and the worst part is that eileen who always does my makeup she knows like i don't let that bald spot go sorry this is so much information but she does i don't let the bald spot go out into public so she didn't put makeup on it because she thought oh he's gonna cover it at some point and then i was taking sexy pictures of myself thinking like this is a cute outfit and in the picture you could literally see the makeup like
Starting point is 00:03:13 line around my head anyway it's so many things and now I'm wearing a onesie and a sweatshirt because we have emergency recording emergency recording um okay well I think we should jump in to it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no I feel like your bad week should be that hair because if it's not going to be it's certainly mine it's actually my bad week so much worse but i just talked for a lot so someone else go i bet mine's worse we'll have a i i bet you can't even beat mine okay this is actually live show worthy it's so bad whoa but i'm gonna bring this to you guys because lady gang we're in a we're in a death come five situation at lady gang and i think everyone needs this. Yep. So my bad week is I went to a birthday party on a sensible Tuesday
Starting point is 00:04:11 afternoon for one of my friends here in Austin. It was like mom's gone wild. We went to this pool and they have a lazy river in at the pool that we went to, which was gorgeous and amazing. It was such a nice day. And we're, we're floating through, but like on the lazy river and all of a sudden I feel something like, you know, when you can feel a bug trying to enter your, your ear, and you swat it away so it's like I feel this thing I'm like gross I swat it away I don't think about it hours later we're at we're like unloading the party at my friend Radhika's house and I'm walking across her kitchen with this cake in my hand and I feel a flutter in my ear and I was like you guys there's a bug in my ear and they're like no there's not there's not a bug in your ear
Starting point is 00:04:57 and I was like yeah there's definitely a bug in my ear but I I start like kind of shaking it I do all the things I get a q-tip go so deep into my ear and there's nothing so then I'm like no you're right I it could be water you know that like makes that weird feeling in your in your ear and then we're sitting down a couple minutes later and we're just chatting and then I feel the flutter again and I go you guys oh my god I have a bug in my ear and they're they again they say no no no you're crazy and I did somebody look in your ear yeah we take a flashlight I was like I've heard that if you do a bright light a bug because they're looking for an exit they want toward the light. So we got a light. We use the lights on our phones, blah, blah, blah. And they're
Starting point is 00:05:36 like, you're insane. They're totally gaslighting me. They're like, this is ridiculous. So then I was like, no, no, no. I, I know there's a bug in my ear. So I look on YouTube and the easiest way to get a bug out of your ear is to put a little bit of warm water in your ear and it should flush out whatever the fuck is in there. So my friend luckily has this little syringe that she had given her kid medicine in earlier that day. So we, my friend Georgia fills it up with warm water and there's still like, this is not even going to be a thing. And I'm so mad I didn't film it because I was convinced that it wasn't going to be a thing. What are the chances? So she starts putting the water into my ear and I'm waiting and it feels crazy. And she's like, I only got
Starting point is 00:06:20 two drops in there. You're being so dramatic. I'm like, no, it feels so weird. It feels so weird. she's like let me put some more she puts more in and all of a sudden she screams and whacks the side of my face a spider a spider was living in like the depths of your ear in the depths of my no yeah so she luckily luckily because i needed to prove to everyone that i was not in fact crazy because she was really kind of the only one that saw it. She reacted fast. She swatted it off my face. I didn't even really see it.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Did you take a picture of the spider? No. So this, it luckily fell into the sink, but there was a bowl in the sink that caught it. So then I was fishing out this dirty ass like salad bowl. I was fishing around and I was like, I just need proof. I need my eyes to believe it. I need all these bitches who are gaslighting me to see it.
Starting point is 00:07:21 yeah even though george's word is solid and so i fish it out of this salad bowl and at that point it was like it had been through a war you know like it had been drowned so it was like all shriveled up yeah it's like a little judge yeah so a little judge like it wouldn't have been made an impact to really document it at that point i mean i was right furious at myself for not filming furious this could have been your tiktok viral moment i know so that was fucking terrifying wait and so when do you think this spider went in when i was on the lazy river at least hours and hours before this in the day so it had been in for a long time at least four hours five probably and you felt it moving around multiple times i did not feel it until like
Starting point is 00:08:12 four hours later at my friend's house like in the lazy river so i think what happened was i was like i wasn't how does a spider get in but sometimes you know like rogue spiders are kind of like hang dangling off of bushes and things i think i just the perfect angle he just entered my goddamn ear and i thought i i thought i had gotten whatever flew into my ear out because i was going crazy on my ear and then i never felt anything inside my ear until four to five hours he was digging himself deeper however the only the only thing that made me feel better about this and i am an idiot and i this is the first time i i was this year's old when i found out that your ear canal doesn't actually go into your brain oh yeah it ends where does it end it's a cone right
Starting point is 00:09:02 yeah i mean yeah i think so i don't know exactly the shape of it but it's like i need to investigate this i know didn't you always assume that things could make their way through their ear into your ear into your brain how does the sound go all the way into your brain it because it's against the drum oh i have a question for you do you know what uh you know type of arachnid we had was it a daddy long legs like big body small legs or was it long legs small body it was a very like if you were to ask a child to draw a spider it was black like a fat body proportionate yeah yeah it was it was small it was a very yeah small spider it doesn't actually matter though like it's big when it's compared to your ear it made me want to die so um that was spider how bad was that bad week
Starting point is 00:09:52 that's pretty it's actually incredible it's been a long time since you had something so good on this podcast and i commend you for that i'm just kidding um it's i would say the spider is equally as bad as this hairdo but like in a grosser way i'm like trying to think i'm like which thing would i rather have happen to me the spider or kelty's probably the spider spider my good week is it is almost november we're at the end of well that's not well like we're midway through october right my son's my son started school in August and I want to report that this is the first week he did not cry at drop-off yes wait but how do you feel about that is it sad no you don't need me anymore no I'm like please stop being a little bitch look at all these kids they're not crying
Starting point is 00:10:47 like he was it was driving me crazy because it makes you feel worse when they cry because then you just leave your crying kid and you hop in your car and you turn on your tunes and you're like woohoo freedom but my kid's crying now it's like he walks right in everyone's happy see you later so for all the parents out there who sent me dms being like he's gonna cry for two weeks max no kid ever cries past two weeks i raise you your two weeks to two and a half months wow what so he's not in preschool is it like a pre-preschool i think they call this i think they call anything before kindergarten preschool school but it's essentially it's a glorified daycare but there's curriculum so he's like learning songs and taking like you know it's cute it's very cute he learns
Starting point is 00:11:36 a lot of new things and he surprises me every day with things that he's learning and i can't believe his like brain he can now he if he hears a book read to him enough he now knows he can like memorize it back to us and be on the correct page of like the action it's very weird so what's his favorite book right now he picked out a book called birdie gets a baby or something from the like mobile library it's about a bird who gets a sibling so zach and i are like trying to tell us something oh shit yeah it's like one day the little birdie comes home and there's an egg in the nest and he's like what is this and they're like you're gonna have a sibling zach and i are like is he trying to tell us something but i don't think so i think he just liked the bird
Starting point is 00:12:22 he likes the birdie the birdie okay jack all right jack um my good week is i am currently well we're recording this episode on friday yeah coming out on tuesday this is an emergency episode that we had to record that are we gonna get into why yeah we're gonna talk about that in a minute yeah okay we'll talk about it in a minute um we are not supposed to record today um but here we are i'm here for jared's music festival when we were young i'm very excited about oh and i guess my other good week is warp tour is coming back um i've been waiting it's a little bit disappointing they're only doing a couple shows and people are very pissed about it because they want it to be like a two month long tour but i don't think that they can do that anymore um but yeah my
Starting point is 00:13:09 emo heart is happy and this is me before the festival i'm sure come monday morning i'm going to be a shell of a human so reporting to future me i guess is my good week um i have such a thing to tell you that i was on instagram the other day and someone tried to send me uh sell me a t-shirt that said still emo and it looked just like your shirts but it said oh no emo i mean no there are so many ripoffs of the uh the jv recents but there's nothing you can do about it unless i try to like copyright every single word so whatever make your bag but people are like they're trying to get like tents at festivals and stuff and like selling all of my merch so that's like a that's a big thing what are you gonna do you have to do a tent at warp tour
Starting point is 00:13:56 i'm trying i've been trying to get a tent at when we were young but like they don't have vendor tents but if they don't do like original warp tour style stuff then they want lady gang to do a live podcast at warp tour i don't think that that's what warp tour is for yeah and i don't think that many people who go to warp tour listen to this just a few that love jack yeah yeah that's about it um if you need a tent i'll help you i'll work it for you i told her that we would work her merch yeah i'll work your merch actually so fun so they're like three satellite dates one it's like june july and november which is really weird but it's dc the dates those locations are weird dc long beach and florida somewhere it's weird you're not coming for our florida don't come for
Starting point is 00:14:43 our florida florida's in november it's way later yeah way later okay it's a weird whatever well i only like one emo band and it's called the main i don't know if you've heard of them but i don't listen to any other emo music so i would be working your tent with earplugs i would have like kelly clarkson blasting in my airpods celine dion actually celine wow oh incredible no it's dirty to me dude working the tent though like i miss it it's so it's actually like so exhilarating and so fun i really hope that they they have something because i feel like such a good throwback are you gonna get recognized like every two steps you can't walk through when we were young right i mean i can but it's definitely where i shine where my my celebrity are you wearing a
Starting point is 00:15:29 great outfit i can't wait to see are you wearing pants or no i'm wearing pants i diy'd uh like a little punk blazer that i'm excited to wear and the craziest thing remember two years ago the very first one we were young got canceled because it was the wind yeah there is like 40 mile an hour winds happening right now friday so the day before the first date if this was tomorrow it probably would have gotten canceled again for wind which is crazy the emo gods nobody wants us to be sad i know i hope it's supposed to be better um my bad week is a by proxy bad week one of my friends works for a company or owns a company that hires gen z employees and she always sends us emails that they get from the gen z employees because they're so funny they're so ridiculous she needs
Starting point is 00:16:21 to create an instagram account she should so this is one of the emails they're basically um i think it might have either been for an interview or like a first day of work so they give them the address like blah blah blah like where to meet in time the person gen z employee to be employee likes it and then says perf sounds good brother and then this emoji salute emoji perf perf sounds good brother to your future employee it is insane it is insane just the shit that gen z will say it's so unprofessional so bizarre i have a friend who has a gen z assistant and she will send things that are so official to major humongous important people and there won't be a punctuation mark in it no and so my friend had to finally confront her and be like if you don't get grammarly
Starting point is 00:17:17 downloaded on your computer immediately i don't think this is gonna work because this is all your job entails is like sending correspondence to people with in brain cells that are like three generations older three generations older and it's like okay so you guys don't want to use periods and commas good for you your texts are probably very confusing but that's your prerogative but guess what all the rest of us we learn to read with punctuation marks yeah yeah even i have grammarly i love grammarly they should sponsor us they saved my life save my being yeah amazing everyone can be smart with grammarly all right there's your ad now back to the lady gang time for smoky eye um smoky eye wants to tell you that my good week
Starting point is 00:18:11 is that um i was in the pages of people magazine this week i'm sure everyone's seen on my instagram it is and here's the thing uh old kelty you know i had a binder at one time i still have it but i haven't updated it where every time I was in a magazine I cut it out and I made a page and like I was very excited about it and then there was an era where I was actively trying to get into magazines where I would see Gwen Stefani wearing something I would find out what show showroom it was from I would write them and be like I want to do a who wore it better I'd wear it after them and then I would pitch myself to the magazine being like who wore it better um and I was quite successful in that you know in that hustling of Hollywood in the past few years I've stopped
Starting point is 00:18:55 caring. I just, I'm like, you know what? I'm old. Nobody cares. It's fine. And so I really haven't tried and I am not doing who wore it better. And I'm not wearing the things other people are wearing. And I'm not even renting clothes, any designer clothes. I just like literally let them put me in whatever. So, you know, the Emmys happened and I wore my, I was very excited about my Monique Lulier dress and I was sitting in makeup yesterday. I don't even, I don't even really have my prescript like subscriptions to the mags anymore. I look online. That's it. someone was sitting next to me reading people magazine and they flipped over from the Taylor Swift,
Starting point is 00:19:30 Travis Kelsey story. And they went, Kelsey, look, it's you. I wasn't even looking for me. I wasn't even looking. It just happened.
Starting point is 00:19:39 It just came to me. Sexy indifference. Sexy in difference. And you know, I'm like almost the full page. And I'm between Kate Hudson and Demi Moore and Zendaya is on the page. And it's about bubble hems. so i felt great about that i was very happy about it um i wasn't like 100 about my hair that day so
Starting point is 00:20:01 i'm kind of like it could have been but anyway i'm so happy red dress you didn't love your hair i loved your hair you did i thought it should be it was like kind of old school way like curly i wanted it to be like more zendaya where it was like curly but then flat at the bottom oh i thought it was really pretty i loved it thank you so much okay anyway so that was great here is my bad week you guys are not gonna believe this story this should be on um jack's true crime podcast okay okay so um derrick and i are in huge trouble at work for theft okay for theft this doesn't shock me at all it doesn't not at all accidental theft let me tell you. So I doubt it. I was doing an interview with our girl, Lisa Barlow, um, in one of these rooms
Starting point is 00:20:55 that is sort of an everything room at the East studio. And she was a little late shocker. And we're sitting there for a long time and you know, all these shows access Hollywood live, all these different shows, they do a lot of these like shopping segments now where like, they always have stuff. There's always stuff in the building, in the hallways, like hanging out where it's like curling irons, luggage, like whatever. And then they go on and they're like, here's the stuff. And then they leave it behind. And so a lot of times, especially when I used to be at ET, they would be like, Hey, there's this back massager. Does anyone want it? Like they would just give it away and leave it alone. So I'm kind of used to having just like a lot of
Starting point is 00:21:32 stuff laying around like that. So we're sitting there and I look over and there's kind of this like hot pink backpack that I honestly wouldn't even buy. It wasn't even that it was cute, but whatever. And I was kind of sitting on this table with all this other junk around it. And I was like oh is that from one of the shopping things and one of the crew guys was like oh yeah i think we shot that earlier this week it was like one of those things and i was like oh did they shoot it already it's done and they're like yeah and i was like well i want that i was like it's so cute derrick put it on so derrick puts on the backpack he's walking around and we're like okay and then i was like well i was like i think they're done with it i'm gonna put it in my my
Starting point is 00:22:08 room which i never lock has all my designer shoes in it like i'm like you know i'm canadian i follow the rules um i was like and if if anyone needs it like you guys know that it's in my room and like in six months nobody claims it i'm gonna keep it it's so cute so we're joking so derrick is literally like walk i'm talking to lisa barlow derrick's like walking down the hallway with the backpack on being like his cute little self we're so excited we put it in my room uh a week later i go to work on thursday and i'm in glam and our stage manager comes to me she goes did you happen to see a pink backpack or pink purse and i'm like yeah no it's it's my room it was from like the steals and deals or whatever yeah like it's right there and she goes oh i better go get that and i'm
Starting point is 00:22:52 like what and she goes you probably need to talk to this woman she's very angry so allegedly they were not done shooting it it was a very important part of a sponsored thing i don't understand why it was not placed in a more exclusive location but you know what also that's not my room like it's not my room to be like if it was my room you can leave shit anywhere it doesn't mean someone can just take it like i don't know what i was thinking i really like the more i think about it the more embarrassed i am for my own train of thought yeah well allegedly they couldn't find it they needed it so badly that they had to go to security and watch the tapes for the last two weeks and they saw Derek dancing down the hallway with yes they saw Derek dancing down the hallway
Starting point is 00:23:36 wearing the backpack and that's how they found out that it was in my room and I went to one of a is this like a one-of-a-kind backpack like what makes it so special well it was like a it was a backpack but it was for us like a segment on whatever and so they had shot some of it but they hadn't shot the close-ups of it or something so it was like it was hot pink like bright anyway yeah it was it was the only one they had there was no backup so um I go over to apologize to the woman who's like in charge of everything and I see her another person that works there and I was like I was like oh have you seen blah blah like and she goes oh it's about the bag oh first of all I thought it was someone's purse they were like you have you you stole someone's purse and I
Starting point is 00:24:22 was like no no no there was nothing in it like anyway so I go to the other lady and I she's like oh, this is about the bag. And she looked at me like, she looked at me like death. And I was like, I don't really know you, but like, she looked at me so mad and she wasn't even the person in charge. So then I go up to the person in charge and I was like, I'm coming upstairs. I have to apologize. Like, I'm so embarrassed. This is so mortifying. And she was like, but who told you you could take it? And I was like, no one. I was like, well, we were all talking and like the crew was like, I think we're finished shooting it. She's like, but who told you that you could have it and I was like like you're in school it was brutal because normally when these misunderstandings
Starting point is 00:25:01 happening you're like the person is like I was mad but now like that I find out it was you and it was a mistake like haha funny no held me over the fire held me over the fire to the point where I took two of my fabulous gay dressers with me and Derek upstairs because I needed like emotional support and one of the one of the wardrobe guys left because it was so uncomfortable he's like I couldn't i couldn't support you it was too much oh my god how embarrassing that is embarrassing you guys the thought of like the security and hr at this massive company like that's the host of e-news stealing a backpack backpack and then i was like this is actually i mean this is what's crazy is that you live your life this way like this is you are reckless like this a lot yes and
Starting point is 00:25:54 everyone catches up with me no but every once in a while it does and this is what happens I have another friend like you and I am I am just shocked at the things she does and gets away with and this is like if we go park somewhere in LA and it's like 15 minute loading she we're going to like a three-hour dinner and she's like no we're gonna just we're gonna do this and I won't a toad and we're going to do this. I mean, it's like that kind of shit that you do too. And you know what? If you want to live like that every once in a while, you will have repercussions. Yeah. But you're so embarrassed because now, you know, everyone's talking about me and they're being like, Kelty's a kleptomania, can't leave things out with her. And I also like six months
Starting point is 00:26:34 ago, I got a pat on the back because the clothes are so cute at E that a lot of times people will like wear what they wear out on the show out that night, or they're like, take the shoe home so they can wear it on the weekend or whatever and i never do that i always follow the rules nope anyway it was so embarrassing and i was just like am i gonna get called into hr like i probably will she's should we tell everyone why we're recording today yes okay when we come back the emergency is revealed you're listening to the lady gang jack how is your hair staying staying up like i have it in my twist no like end of it it's like hard it's like it's like which is broomstick
Starting point is 00:27:19 crazy i just have like one weird rogue piece of hair that's like really holding it together you're gonna look so hot speaking of the ends of your hair um i feel like we haven't shouted out good products lately oh but i do feel like my hair is so fried and i haven't been able to fit in a haircut have you guys ever used the unite um dry conditioner it's great so i love unite so good but the dry conditioner i'm like how on earth is this gonna soften my straw ass ends and it does not your straw ass ends look at these straw ass ends like just standing up on their own okay anyways same with mine well i thought i thought that you were gonna call me out because my ends are so fried i was like her ends are so straw ass straw straw ass um okay so you tell the story
Starting point is 00:28:10 yeah let me set the stage all right so i don't know what i can say or not also don't like sconce this you know what i mean yeah like i'm not gonna sconce it i'm gonna tell you this i'm gonna tell you this um we are badasses that's how i'm gonna start i'm gonna start this with we have taken on something that is so massive that's so amazing that's so incredible and we took it on as if we had 84 employees and the truth is we are the employees and so we also took it on like that would have been like this is we're obviously talking about lady world we also took it on like that was actually our job like we don't have other jobs that we're doing as well yes And so lady world, we were, we have a podcast and we were, we were going to put it on sale,
Starting point is 00:29:00 like for presale today. And we announced that October 22nd was the day. And then just this morning, we looked at each other and we were like, you know, some things, some very exciting things came through last minute that are just like game changer. And we really, we were on a call yesterday and we're like, but we want to reward like our OGs. Like we just had these like last minute geniuses have come through and we were like, we're not ready to put, we're not ready to have everyone sign up. Like we're not ready to announce, we're not ready to show you everything we've been working on because you really get one chance to make it amazing and perfect. And when I mean like, yes, could we have just thrown up a website and put it on sale? Sure. But did Jack
Starting point is 00:29:47 Vanek want to like hand paint every icon on the website and like build her own font and like you know yes did we want did we go you know did we go above and beyond in the bookings of who you're gonna see at the shows yes like getting all of that like do we have the best brand partner of all freaking time like yes but all of that takes time and energy and and you know like I think we just thought like we were gonna be ready and then all this last minute stuff came through and I'm actually really proud of us because it's been a really insane kind of stressful week in a good way and we've like held it together like we were like nope let's push it one week let's do a podcast let's explain it to everyone everyone's gonna understand but like I literally the first
Starting point is 00:30:39 text I sent Jack about like this one um like illustration thing was at like eight o'clock yesterday and we were still texting at 9 47 p.m and like I had not stopped texting you all day like it's crazy 8 a.m yeah well and there's also there's just a lot of cooks in the kitchen like in a good way like we have partners and we have sponsors and we have amazing artists and it's just you got to have a lot of people sign off on one thing so like when there's one little tweak it kind of has like a snowball effect on everything else so we just wanted to make sure we didn't want to do it half-assed we didn't want to put it out there and be like oh we'll add this later like we want everything to go out with a bang and um i'm really excited
Starting point is 00:31:19 for next week because it's going to be even better and the hardest thing about like what we've done and i was thinking about this in the car when i knew we were going to record this like i i want to just give us our flowers for a minute is that listen i are we the first people to ever be an entertainment? No, like, obviously, we stand on the shoulders of a lot of other people and people that have done amazing things. But when I think about Lady Gang, and I think about Becca and Jack and Kelty, and what we have accomplished with Lady Gang, and how important our listeners and members of the Lady Gang are like, there are times when we could just throw something up and be like, let's take everyone's money and like do a thing, but we care so much.
Starting point is 00:32:06 are you playing Celine Dion? I thought you were literally playing Celine Dion. I was like, yeah, no, no, that fits. That fits my speech. Um, no, but what I was going to say is like, we care so much, like, you know, we'll be on a call and then Becca will be like, but how can, like, what about the OGs? Like, what are they getting that's extra or like, you know? So it's hard because we, I feel like we have this responsibility, but also it's hard because no one's ever done this before. Do you know what I mean? And the people that have are like, you know bravo you know and like 47 people got in a room and there was like you know we're three girls with a podcast trying to like change the game and create something amazing for
Starting point is 00:32:48 our listeners and for everyone and like we're literally just three girls i'm just baby i'm just a baby did you see that tiktok where the girl's like i don't want to be up and around i just want to be kind of like laying down she's like skiing down the mountain that's how i always feel yeah yeah that's how i always feel yeah do you have thoughts about that do you have anything to add about the sconces becca no i think that's plenty i think that we don't need to explain anymore it's just shit happens in a small business that's trying to be a big business you know we're just three girls you know when people do this like you're saying it's like oh live nation wants to put on a music festival that's cool that requires like an hour of every employee's time and i would
Starting point is 00:33:37 like to say if you guys are in if any of you guys are going into a business partnership um take it from me don't learn a lot of skills um because in times of trouble in the business no one's even going to bother you because there's nothing you can do to help the sinking ship that's not true becca did call me yesterday and she like literally was like hey um what can i take off your plate like i know there's so much to it i was just like you know what i'm gonna need you to like i'm gonna need you to really support i need moral i need emotional support which meant the most but then like i'm really gonna need you to like be posting like a crazy person on your million in person following Instagram like Becca knows when it's time for Becca to shine well I just
Starting point is 00:34:24 know the only thing I can it's not in the fonts of the website it's not in the fonts the websites it's not in the correspondence of the emails I really have nothing to offer and also every time I do I would like to say with all the cooks in the kitchen every time I did go to respond to something like it came in two minutes before and I would go to respond and then there'd already been like six emails since yeah and then my email and then I would have to go back and be like just kidding I just saw the responses and I'm like this is I was like I'm just walking away like I just can't even yeah there's there's nothing that's going to be productive of me just like showing up yeah it's kind of like the person when you throw a party at your house and they just sort of like
Starting point is 00:35:05 um what's it called there's like a term for it they don't actually do anything they don't do dishes. They don't cook. They don't, they just hover. So they just like kind of, they hover and they loiter around the kitchen and they just get in the way. And I was like, you're basically a hoverer right now. Just get the out and then you can show up when it matters. But it was also so tense because Kelty's doing a job that sucks balls, which is basically being the mouthpiece lady gang with every single person that we're trying to keep happy so there's like reps of talent there's publicists there's brand people and all these people are doing their jobs but unfortunately kelty is the only person who can really handle the many personalities and demands
Starting point is 00:35:51 rightly so of these people and then there's jack who's on the who's on the receiving end of kelty having to report back really bad news to jack every time every time something has to change and then jack's gonna throw her phone out the window i thought we might lose her i was like please don't quit please don't quit we're just one font away at one point i just saw a text go through like i was doing something and i just saw jack vanik well they can suck it oh and that's those are also when all of my texts were coming in out of order yes yes I don't even know if you knew who they was I'm really proud of you two because there was I didn't see any frustration between either of you because that was very that was it was just
Starting point is 00:36:39 funny I just would be like no no except for when Kelty goes this weekend's gonna be an all hands on deck weekend and I was like not mine because I met when we were young if something needs to be done it's got to be done by friday afternoon yeah and that's probably when i was saying they could suck it well and honestly like and we it could have been has boundaries like a gen z-er just i just want to say she's a gen z boundary which i actually appreciate not really i have been working literally in the middle of the night no i know you work but i'm saying but then you have a boundary where you're like i'm gonna be in a music festival and no i can't i can't do the thing i have been planning to go to when we were young before lady world was even a thought in our minds i know but
Starting point is 00:37:22 Like, okay, I'm not criticizing you. I'm just saying you have, you have Gen Z boundaries, which I think everyone would agree. You're not being paid to go to when we were young. Well, it's also, it is a weekend. I know. Weekends don't really exist in times like this. Well, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Unfortunately, I did get all of my work done and it's not me that isn't doing anything. No, I know you did. I know you did. but i like that when it was an all hands on deck weekend instead of being like i i captain you're like you can yourself but here's the other thing that's so listen you know i would have i you know i would do anything but i'm not gonna do unnecessary things for people that are taking too long to make decisions and having that now fall on me this is not my fault it's not like i'm like putting off
Starting point is 00:38:14 work it's not my fault that somebody else stopped yeah i appreciate the boundary okay i appreciate it. It is just that of someone that was a younger generation. Well, and the other thing is somebody that's healthy. Yes. And so here's the thing is that I feel the same way. I was like looking at the days ahead and I was like, okay, here's where we're at. Here's what's on the to do list. Here's the new information that's come in. Here's what's the link that's not working. Like, okay, this is all the things we need to do. And I was, I'm working all day tomorrow too on Saturday. So I was like, here's what we need to get done like before Tuesday. And I was like, there's actually no human way that we're going to get this done over the weekend. And I was really proud because
Starting point is 00:38:57 old Kelty would have been like resentful and been like, why isn't everyone wanting to cancel their entire weekend to just focus on this work thing? Because that's the most important thing. And then I was like, you know what, guys, if we push it a week, it's not the end of the world. It's not we're fine we're gonna be okay we're gonna be fine jack go have your emo thing me i'm moderating fucking thing with stassi down in the oc but i'm really excited about my outfit i'm wearing like a mini shirt with tights which like really was thrilling for me um i was gonna sleep in this hair but then i decided maybe not i'm gonna do a fresh hair look um but like i actually think that that is something that i've grown so much where i was just like you know what who like these are
Starting point is 00:39:45 champagne problems like we're gonna be fine we're gonna let everybody know we're pushing it one week those sweet girls that dm me and they were like i've planned all my work meetings around being able to go on at 11 to buy my ticket like those 10 people like you're fine we're gonna make sure you get in and you know i i just i'm really proud of us i i know this is probably boring to listen to but like i just the hustle of like real life is real life and i think we make it look easy and we make it look fun and like it's like whatever but it actually is a job and a ton of work and i'm really proud of us because we can do it you know yeah and it's going to be even better it's going to be being incredible i mean it's going to be a hundred times better than uh uh
Starting point is 00:40:30 spider in the ear uh weatherproof updo you know what i mean totally totally on that wait sorry the hairdo would be perfect for the windy when we were young like you should have been here with that hairstyle it's not it's not going anywhere and i was like you know you know when you put your hair up it's supposed to be like a no heat hairdo like i'm like i don't yeah but that there's a lot of damage on that i can tell that yes that was those hairs are going to crack there's some broken ends in that bun yeah 100 but i'm getting my hair colored on sunday which is thrilling to me because it is Neapolitan ice cream colored at the moment.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Okay. Well, love you guys. Thanks for not quitting the lady gang. Thank you guys for listening to this. This was chaotic. Sorry for any of you who don't give a flying about lady world. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:23 I think, I think everyone should care, but it's going to be amazing. But when you, when you guys see the lineup and what we're working on, you are going to, your mind's going to be blown and it's all going to make sense. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:34 it's a great mystery of life love you Jack you enjoy your outfits enjoy it I'm so glad this all worked out so you can YOLO you know YOLO at your festival and really I didn't mean to make a passive aggressive comment
Starting point is 00:41:51 about your boundaries I just I didn't take it okay well I just I didn't want to offend I wouldn't accept it well you did sort of get did not does not want me no i know that's what i'm saying i didn't accept the comment oh like you aren't taking the feedback no she just bounced it back at you
Starting point is 00:42:13 just not taking the feedback which is also very not accepting not accepting feedback that is very genzy as well talk to the hand brother what did the good lady say in the email brother hell Perf.
