well what is this welcome to the lady gang that's amazing say that again the lady gang
things are about to change around here each week we catch up with hollywood's hottest girl posse
kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanik
hello hello hello welcome to lady gang i am becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty knight
hello you guys
hello everyone happy new year happy new year it's been a great one so far it's 2025 is off
to a real start we've got good things bad things this episode is going to be just us
updating everyone because the amount of messages i get we have not talked about jack surgery we
have not talked about becca camping we have not talked about the galapagos turtles and now we
didn't know where we were going to record this episode because um we that the fires are ravaging
through la like this is the fucking craziest time so let's get into it let's do it wow i just want
to say let me this is why i don't manifest i think energetically everyone needs to fucking calm down
with them and manifesting i think the universe is like hearing all these positive vibrations
and manifestations and it's like you are so smug that you think you have any control over what's
happening mother earth other people all the things so it's like everyone it's the meme where it's
like everyone let's just walk into 2025 don't touch anything don't say anything be quiet so
take your vision boards and let's let's not let's just not okay all right just like it's it's like
the yin and the yang there needs to be some yang going on and i am the yang here to tell you let's
you're the yang yeah your expectation should be in the ground in the gutter okay all right i do
want to say in my defense of the manifestation board uh you know uh the first day we were back
so that was like monday the 6th i think at work like everyone was back i did have a magical thing
happen where i like 9 a.m got an email from my agent and they were like hey would you be interested
in doing this endorsement deal this year and that was one of the things on my manifest board was
like to get an endorsement deal and it was like 9 a.m on the first day back so i'm not against the
manifestation list but like okay but then your whole city went up in flames so 100 the great
balance they're like oh this this little peon wants a little wish a little endorsement let's
sprinkle it here while we set our whole city off the flame this is what you have to pay for that
endorsement deal yeah the thing is is i'll just say that i was on vacation and i had made a list
of things like i really needed to do last year that i didn't do and i was like kelty you're
gonna get on it in 2025 and one of the things this is so up was getting a fireproof box for
my house for my journals because i was like no no something's gonna burn this year and so when i got
home I had ordered it and it had arrived and I had just on last weekend moved everything my journals
my passports like everything into this fireproof box which is just like the most insane thing and
then literally last night going into the fireproof box and taking everything out and putting it in a
suitcase to like pack up was so crazy like it was you manifested it I guess so I guess I'm gonna
and manifest anyway well i want to know did you um take my drawing with you while you
okay this or did you let that to burn okay can i talk about this now i guess we can do whatever
you want it's our podcast i don't think we're gonna do a good week bad week today i think we're
just gonna i think we're gonna share we're gonna share we're gonna do share share okay so we're
fine the house is fine thank you everyone that's reached out so many people lost their stuff like
I have not stopped crying for two days. Um, the fact that, I mean, it's just the weirdest feeling
in the world was to be in the middle of the Hills and you just kept seeing these fires pop up like
in a circle around us. So Chris's parents are still evacuated. Um, so many friends and family
are evacuated. A lot of people just left town because the thing that happened when the winds
were the reason these fires were so bad is that not only is it so dry here in california obviously
but the winds were so high like we i was sitting in my living room we have like the big window in
our living room and i was like chris we can't be in this room because the winds were so high the
trees were blowing so hard that i was like they're gonna come crashing through these windows
so right outside it was the wildest thing the first night of the fires because we were at the
house. It was dark. And I just watched the entire valley. I'm lucky that I'm up on the hill. In some
ways it's good. Some ways it's bad during times like this, but I just watched all of the transformers
of all the power, you know, up on the poles explode across the valley. I mean, every two
minutes, a huge flash of light would come and you would watch another fire breakout on top of these
poles. There's a transformer directly across from my house, like on the other side of this little
street right in front of my neighbor's house we watched it light on fire blow up and then
the wires from the power were just floating in the wind and they were live they were live for two
days they were live for two days well you know something that's so crazy that i read this morning
is so our power this is so boring but it's not our power system in california is so ancient like
some of the power lines are from 1920 still like they're so old it's just it's just so crazy and
we were like calling and we were calling and we're like, this is important. But then we're
like, I'm looking at the Valley exploding and seeing the smoke come over the Hill. And I'm
like, it's not that important. Like Linda, our, our neighbor left with her kid. And I was just
like, literally standing by balcony, anyone that drove by or walk by, I was like, those,
those are live. Those are live. Anyway, all the fires are happening. And so, but we were kind of
in the middle of everything and we're like, okay, let's not evacuate. Let's not evacuate until we
have to. We had no power for two days. And so last night a fire broke out next door to my house
and we packed up. So that was just, you know, I am, we're so lucky. First of all,
everything's okay. A lot of people lost everything and it's just the strangest feeling in the world
to walk around your house and choose what you're putting in your suitcase. Like Chris and I just
sat and looked at each other last night crying and we're just like, okay, this is what our life
is. Like I took, we have our handwritten wedding vows. I took them off the wall, put them in.
I took my journals, took some family jewelry. I took a couple of wedding photos. And then
I'm so lucky that I'm a K type because as you guys know, so when I was young, my family had
a flood and we lost, that's why I don't have like photos of me as a kid or like little baby dancer
Kelty or anything because everything got ruined because it was all paper. So over the past few
years, I've had my friend Jeff scan everything. I have a digital vault. It's like a sonology. It
like lives and every single thing I have like rocket pictures, my birth certificate, everything
is scanned and it's all in this thing. So I was able to just like pick up the vault, but so many
people don't have that, right? Like the stories that you're hearing of people going into the house
and trying to grab some photo albums and things like that. Like Becca doesn't have her wedding
photos. I guess she has them online at brides.com, but you know, it's like they're lost. They're
gone but um but i was really lucky but then chris was like i'm like what are you taking and he's
like well my wedding ring because he never wears his wedding ring he's like i took that i took my
watches he's like i took um this box of like all the cards you've ever given me that he kept i was
literally like the i looked at my bookshelf and i was like these are my children and i took the
nancy my nancy drew collection put them in a suitcase put them in the car and i was like
everything else has to stay like it's just been such an emotional 48 hours and i'm so lucky because
i'm unpacking my suitcase today you know what i mean we're back in the house we have power again
but um so many people have nothing like i just watched cam matheson who i worked with at et
his house and the thing is is that like of course all these celebrities are going to get highlighted
because the palisades and these different areas of la they have celebrities and that's what
the story is like oh no this person but like there's so many regular people there's so many
people that were trying to make it in la that lived in apartment buildings that were
you know, that have renter's insurance that have no money and businesses. And that area of the
Palisades was so many mom and pop stores that like little boutiques and things like, it's not
like a, it's not a Walmart area. You know what I mean? So it's your life's work. Um, Cam was on
GMA this morning. I just watched him and you know, you just go and there's nothing, you know,
and you thought, and Spencer too, our dear friend, Spencer, I have been texting with Heidi. I just
went on amazon and sent a bunch of like their kid is seven like seven and two t like baby clothes to
their their where they're staying i got their address for us and i was just like i don't know
what to do you know what i mean and like people are like oh they they have money they're rich
they're fine not everyone has like even if you're in hollywood like you don't have there's been a
lot of criticism at least i've seen it on social media with like i'm sick of seeing celebrities go
to their mansions that burn to the ground and i'm like it's all relative people it's all relative
it sucks no matter what yeah um but think of chris's family like chris's family is over on
the eaton fire which is on the other side and that is very residential it's very it's a you
know it's a it's family homes these people live there forever like what gets me is the elderly
like people that are the elderly and animals like i just i know i can watch this video on
tiktok of the deer and doesn't know where to go it's like a little baby deer and i was just like
i saw this video these people that had horses and they were like we just released all the horses and
now they're just wild like they're just they're just like we hope they make it like what the
it's just it's like it feels like the end of days anyway okay it's also like i don't know
i can't wait to get to the bottom of why la shit the bed so badly oh yeah i mean i know that there's
reasons i know that like there's budget cuts that happened and like who knows what the water supply
yeah the water supply and just the fact that i just get so shocked when a city like that
really the taxes that people pay to live in california in general it's just it's there's
a lot of issues going on because yeah yeah um okay well that's my bad week we're not doing
good week bad week i do want to tell you one good thing that happened when i was on vacation i was
in columbia the craziest thing happened i was at like this little nothing hut over the water
kind of like in the middle of columbia you got to take a boat or like drive for two hours or
take a helicopter to get there and i'm sitting sitting at the breakfast buffet and this woman
comes up to me and she's like healthy night and i was like i didn't know i didn't recognize her
and i was like oh my god it must be like is it a hollywood person like what the
she was a lady gang fan pippa from london that's so crazy she listens to every episode she's like
I just listened to manifesting on the way here. Um, she was with her hot ass fiance. Um, they're
getting married in 2025. So she cannot come to lady world, but she will be there for 26. If we
do it again. Um, I met her whole family. They're so funny. It was just, it was so crazy. I was
like, can I meet your family? She's like, sure. But like there was 10 tables at this restaurant
or this little buffet. Anyway, it made me so happy. And I was like, lady gangs, the bomb.
that's it I just had a huge group of girlfriends book their lady world stuff and I was like oh
it's starting to feel real yeah I know they're like booking their house and like it's like 15
girls I'm like oh my god the other thing I was gonna say about when I packed up the reason I
have I have the OG very first like one of the first lady gang sweaters on you know I'm that
person that in my closet I have every lady gang sweater we've ever made I have like 10 years of
lady gang sweaters and I rotate through them. I mean, I have every era. I have the true Beverly
Hills. I have the OG. I have every single one. And I looked up last, I looked up last night at
my sweaters and I was like, which lady gang sweater do I want to live in for the next three
weeks? Like, you know what I mean? And like, which one do I keep? What part of history? So I took,
I took the OG. Wow. Wow. Looking back, I can't wait for you to have a museum one day
of all the lady gang merch. Oh my God. No one will ever visit that museum.
What if I did it at Lady World and no one came?
Wait, I kind of like that idea.
It's like, it's like the...
Let's not waste our bandwidth on the Lady Gang merch.
Yeah, that's true.
Let's not waste checking a bag on...
Let's have the ear piercing station there instead.
Yeah.
Okay, fine.
Now back to the Lady Gang.
Jack, go ahead.
I need to hear about your surgery.
How are you?
So, yeah, I guess my kind of good week for the episode.
your share my share my positive share is my fibroid is finally fucking gone um i had my
myomectomy surgery over the break and it was a successful surgery which is good and they also
found endometriosis removed that so i'm on the path to recovery but like it's been different
than i thought i have a question for you kelty how long were you like bloated and swollen after
your hysterectomy or did you feel like great immediately after? Cause I don't feel great yet.
No, she felt like shit. I feel like six months. Yeah. Yeah. Like long time. Cause like I read all
this stuff about people. They're like, I felt actually, I felt amazing literally the day of
the surgery. So my stomach was like distended so much from my fibroid. Like it looked like I was
pregnant and like right off the, right after the surgery that day, I was like, I feel amazing.
and then after that is when it started getting bad again and i'm like i don't even know how i
feel like recovery wise because of that but i know it takes a while i think it's important that like
for me i did myself such a disservice on reddit because there were those people that were like
i went back to work three days after and then i was like wait am i a pussy because it took me six
weeks um but everybody's different and for me like i i don't remember feeling great until eight
months and i remember feeling like full of the gas and disgusting for at least six to eight weeks
for sure oh my god that's the thing that i feel like people don't talk about is the gas
of a brutal like a laparoscopic surgery that was the worst pain i've ever been in in my entire life
and something that almost died at the er from gas pain yeah there you go but i'm talking about like
well number one the gas gurgling in my stomach was crazy but like the gas pains you get from
like the surgery up in your shoulders and shit is like so insane. And my, I did not stay on top of
the pain because I don't know. I told you. No, I'll tell you why. For some reason, my doctor was
amazing. For some reason, post-op, they would not give me Zofran. They refused to give me Zofran
for nausea. And it was the first time that I've had anesthesia that I was nauseous right after.
Usually I've been fine, but I left and I was like, when I went to the recovery room, I was like
immediately nauseous. They gave me one at the hospital, but they were like, well, if you need
some, you're going to have to call this after hours number and we'll connect you to a gynecologist
and then they can call it in. So it got so bad. So number one, I was in so much pain coming home
from the doctor after my anesthesia wore off. Then I started getting so nauseous. Then I tried
to call the number and it took me like two hours to get ahold of them. Another two hours to get
the zofran i was dry heaving dry heaving right after you get a surgery is literally the worst
pain that i've ever experienced in my entire life and then from there it was just so hard to keep on
top of it and then the oxycodone made me feel so insane oh god that's brutal yeah i think it's like
just so important that you have everything you need like that's i'm like why didn't you give
you gave me oxycodone why didn't you give me some zofran it's not like i can abuse zofran no it was
so bizarre they refused refused so um and then the oxycodone made me feel horrible gave me insomnia
i was having these like crazy hallucinogenic like loop dreams when i was trying to sleep
and then my heart palpitations were out of control it was so bad for like the first couple days but
yeah then it got better um it was just that was the worst pain that i've ever been in for those
first three days though did they like measure the fibroid did you get a picture of it they have to
chop it up to take it out right they like spiral it and they pulled it out of my belly button
i know but they showed well they showed me a picture right after surgery when i was like
on anesthesia still they're like here it is and it was like a big blob and it was like eight
centimeters so it was like this big it was really big it's like a tennis ball yeah it was like a
tennis ball have you had a period since no i'm supposed to start mine this weekend but i was on
my period during the surgery but so she said flip you upside down like the same as a hysterectomy
where they like put you on the table something weird because like my shoulders were all pulled
out and like that was another thing that was so painful but something they put me on that table
weird like something was going on um but with the endometriosis so she again she told me this when
i was like she's like we found it and removed it here's a picture and i'm like i just remember
seeing spots yeah like so then i had my post-op last week and she was like it was she was like
it was so minimal she was like it was barely stage one and she's like i removed all of it
she's like of course it can grow back but like i'm super like grateful because i had no idea
you don't know how bad your endometriosis is until they go in there um so but endo and fibroids can
both grow back so i'm so surprised that your endo wasn't worse because you have the worst periods
i think it's just genetic my mom has really bad periods too god i was really hoping they were
like oh you're like endo's so bad and then for the rest of your life your period's gonna be better
no she's like it might improve like a little bit she's like mostly maybe because of the fibroid but
like my periods were bad before that anyways but it's just crazy i had like never heard about
fibroids before i got mine and it's like it happens to so many women and it's like
disproportionately happens to black women so i'm like of course there's like neglect when it comes
to awareness of it um but it's just it's so crazy because it affects so many things in your body
and i never even knew it existed it's wild how did you how did you get the diagnosis
in the first place i forget because i when i had my um when i got appendicitis and i like
had the emergency appendectomy they did like a MRI of my abdomen and that's when they found it
but they're like there's a mass on your uterus and they're like would it tell me what it was
so then I'm a hypochondriac thinking you know the worst case scenario until I got like a real scan
for it but that's when they found it and then my doctor was just like every six months I get like a
ultrasound for it she's like yeah it's growing it's growing it's growing not offering me like
any sort of an idea of how to take care of it. And that's another thing is my healthcare was
like, yep, we're covering it a hundred percent. And then I just got a massive bill that they
didn't cover. Well, you can fight that. Yeah. You can fight it. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. My sister's
like the best when it comes to also for medical bills in general, you can call and be like,
I can't pay this. What can you do? Like there's, there's so many ways to negotiate that.
you gotta be like Cher and Clueless with her um English mark do you remember when she got a D
oh yeah she like negotiated and she's like I haven't even started negotiating this yet and
then she got an A you just go do that that's what I need to do well I looked at the itemized list
and I was like so you're charging $35,000 for no for literally renting the a cot for me to like
sit in for an hour after post-op like so that's the other thing too is that if your insurance
they charge you like that initially when they think that insurance is covering it no no this
is after insurance covered it i still got like a massive bill no but the hospital bills it like
the insurance is covering it and then they don't they don't adjust and then they send to you so
then if you call and you say my insurance is no longer covering this okay what is the cost of an
an uninsured you know situation because that's they just it's so crazy it's kind of like the
the um the thing that i always think about is it's like when your rich dad takes you out like
on a shopping spree and you pick out like everything gucci and then you get to the
counter and then your rich dad is like i'm only gonna buy you like one thing actually
yeah and you have to like go and like put everything back and just get the one thing
like that the hospital is being like you know they think the rich dad's paying for everything
But when they find out the poor young girl is paying for it, they're like, never mind.
These are gap prices.
It's only $40 to rent this cot at the hospital.
It's just crazy looking at the itemized list.
I was like, because there's two.
One of them was like fibroid removal and endometriosis removal.
And I was like, that was like 20 grand or something like that.
And then the other list was like the rental of the cot.
Rental of operating room is $55,000 for one hour.
and they tried to kick me out so fast after my surgery because i got it it was on a saturday
because my doctor was so nice and scheduled it on a saturday to make it work for my schedule
and i'm like they wanted they're like you can leave now and i'm like i can't see i'm still
so up from anesthesia right now i can't dude you can walk out of here and i was like i can't
but they kept i'm like that's the one thing i remember i was like they were so pushy
trying to get me out and then the whole thing was so crazy so so but yeah but i'm on the up and up
um my belly button looks different which is weird because they like re
sewed it up differently that would be weird to go your whole life with the same belly button
and then have it change well i saw there was like people on reddit they're like i had an
and then i had an audi after surgery and i was like i don't want an audi
don't shame the outies there's a lot of belly button surgeries happening in plastic surgery
though where they like make them an innie again they fix belly buttons like whatever that means
i know a lot of pregnant girls that have gone in and like after they've had babies they've kept
that thing looking cute again yeah i'm like not our crop top queen honestly so much of our success
depends on your crop tops like we're gonna need you to make sure it stays cute yeah i know well
and another thing is like i swear to god it's more left on my body i'm like can that happen
could they have moved it over no okay maybe it's the swelling it's the swelling but i'm like looking
down and i'm like going like down from like the middle of my chest and i'm like it's definitely
like an inch to the left now that's hilarious one more thing for you to gray over fix it over
perfect can't wait for our next photo shoot help
you're listening to the lady gang Becca how was your break uneventful which was so nice it was
like the first holiday that we stayed put for Christmas because it was the first Christmas
that Ford sort of understood yeah um and we just had family come in I still hate Christmas as much
as I, maybe more, maybe more. No. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe more. Um, you know, knowing what's going
on. Didn't there's no, I swear to you guys, I think this might be an age thing and I get a 50,
50 response from my girlfriends. So I told you guys about the elf on the shelf and how he saw
it. And I was like, isn't this cool? And he's like, but he's not real. That was his, did I
tell that story? No. Okay. So, um, I have been trying, I want everybody to know that as cynical
as I am, I'm still, I don't hate my child. I want him to experience magic. And so if there's an
opportunity to do it, I'll suck it up and I'll let him. So we were at a friend's house. We didn't do
elf on the shelf this year because it was just like too complex for him to understand. You didn't
do mensch on the bench? No, we did none of the above. So even though we have a Martha Stewart
Snoop Dogg elf on the shelf duo, have you seen that one? No. Yeah. Yeah. We've had that for a
couple years. Wow. That's iconic. It's great. So we don't have Martha or Snoop on the shelf. And
And I was like, you know, we went to our friends' houses over the holidays and all the kids were like, look where the elf is today.
Look at the – like making the hugest deal about where the elf went in the middle of the night.
I have a question about Elf on the Shelf.
Is the point of it that like the elf is watching you making sure you're a good kid?
Yeah.
He reports back to Santa.
Okay, okay.
Santa's spy essentially.
Yeah, that's weird.
It's weird.
And so I kept being like, look forward.
Oh, my gosh.
And we were at our friend's house and their little boy was like, look at where he was today.
and yada yada yada and ford looks at him and looks at the elf and he's like but he's not real
and i was like this is your child no you know what you're gonna need to do now you're gonna
have to get your dad or yeah no to dress as santa to show him that santa's real no we've done this
okay so then so then um i'm like he's not buying this but santa is such an it's a pretty simple
concept, right? Like he's going to bring a choice, blah, blah, blah. Leading up to on Christmas Eve
morning, there's a family in Austin that Zach plays golf with the dad and every Christmas Eve
mornings, the day before Christmas, they hire a Santa to come and bring one gift to all the kids,
right? So we go and Santa shows up and it's like so exciting and all the kids are freaking out
and Ford's still kind of like, okay, like looking around sort of like, just give me it.
just give me a gift. So he gets the gift and then we get in the car and he's like, thank you for the
truck, mama and dada. And I was like, no, buddy, it's from Santa. And he's like, okay. And then
we go and we open presents in Christmas morning. And we kept being like, look what Santa brought.
Look what Santa brought. We came down the chimney. We did the cookie thing. And I tried to show him
the next morning. I was like, look, he ate the cookies. And he's like, can I have the rest of
that cookie he didn't give one fuck oh my god and then at the end i swear to you zach can attest to
this at the end of opening all of these presents right he looks at us and said thank you for the
presents mama and dada i wonder if he's appreciative like i love his gratitude he has a lot of gratitude
but like i think he's either too young and he's really not grasping the concept of santa or i
i don't know i have not said one thing in front of him i did a really good job because it is
the only time in your life that you can believe in something stupid yeah you know well i wonder
if he can get some kind of an award for like the youngest kid to non-believer stop believing in
santa i believed in santa till i was in fifth grade you guys me too well i know i got more
presents i literally was getting my period that same year like that is old oh my god i think i
was like four or five and i mean i i pretended for longer than i yeah yeah yeah kids pretend
my niece is for sure pretending i'm like you can't be buying yourself body splash at sephora
and like and like all that you see on youtube and then also believe that this man still comes
down your chimney along with every other kid in the whole world so it was i i tried to capture
the magic from my child but i i it's either something that's genetically within us that
we just can't believe in magic or yeah um he's but it was great it was a great break i loved
not having to travel. That was a real upside to it all. But it was sort of uneventful, which is
great. I'm into uneventful lately. Well, I loved your camping trip. It looked so cute. I was so
jealous. It was really cute. There's these little like glamping. There's a glamping site outside of
Austin. Tallulah something. I'm an idiot. Tallulah something. And it's only three big
glamping tents on one piece of property. And we'd been like wanting to take Ford camping
so many times, but we just felt like he wasn't old enough to get it. And also he's never,
ever, ever slept in the bed with us. Not ever. Wow. So we were like, this will be so fun. We'll
cuddle up in this king size because it has a king size bed. It's like an actual bed. And you know,
It's lovely. I do not understand having a child in the bed. I know, listen, I was tempted to
co-sleep not when he was like brand new, but like over the last couple of years, I've been like,
isn't it sweet? Like the snuggling and the this and the that and whatever.
And I would, I know that everybody's different, but the way that that impacted my sleep on one
night. People who do that for years on end with their kids, check on yourselves, check on
yourselves. I think it's the type of thing where it's like, if every day you wake up with a hangover,
you start to forget what it feels like to wake up like normal. I think that's what's happening
with people sleeping with their children. They've gotten like used to being kicked in the side of
their head in the middle of the night and like having a kid. I don't get this. It is I wanted
it to be magical so badly and parts of it were but for the most part i got like three hours of
sleep because i had a like a chimpanzee in bed with me it was so bizarre i'm open for feedback
but like how are people doing this all over the world i think it's little boys in their little
pajamas are so cute though i would want to snuggle up with them in bed too i did for like 40 minutes
and then i was like okay it's time i need to sleep get the get the out of this bed so i think
maybe i i don't know it's crazy oh my god um okay wait do you have a bad week or no
i guess we don't have a bad week we're just sharing i think la burning is bad week
yeah well it's kind of crazy i was texting with jack um earlier this week because i i thought the
worst thing that was going to happen this week was that i lost i blew out my eardrum and i was
like oh my god i'm gonna not have hearing for this one year um this is kind of pretty bad it
was kind of crazy and then i'm like i've completely forgotten this so i was at the golden gloves i
can't believe this was this week i was at the golden gloves which was so um was so cool what
a great way to start the year um and i wear in-ear monitors uh to be able to hear the directors and
everyone telling me what's happening. And I had a really weird spot. I was right at the start of
the carpet and I was supposed to, my job on this red carpet for everyone was like, why aren't you
doing interviews? I was supposed to do interviews at the Critics' Choice Awards, but it got moved
to the 26th. So I will be doing some celeb interviews at some point this year. But I was
just supposed to stand there and sort of like announce as people arrived and give like factoids.
I was in factoid girl mode. So I'd like, we'd see Miley Cyrus hop out of the limo and I'd be like,
Miley Cyrus has arrived. She's nominated for blah, blah, blah. And you know, but they had for
the first time ever at the golden globes, they had like these bleachers of fans and they had been
like in LA, when you want to go to an award show as like a fan, you actually get like cast. It's
like, you can't, it's not just, yeah, it's a C it's like you at the JC Shazay concert. It's like
they find young, crazy people that want to act nutso bananas and have energy for seven hours
straight. And so right beside me was this bleacher full of like hundreds of fans. And they're so
loud. I mean, so, so, so, so loud. So I have my in-ear in, which is like a little monitor that
I can talk through and I have it turned way up, but it was so strange not to get too detailed on
you, but normally you put your in-ear into like this little mic pack and then you have dials and
you can turn it up or turn it down like a Walkman or I'm so old, but anyway, you can turn it up or
down. But for this, because we were way out on the street, it just plugged into a cord. And so I had
no control over how loud it was. I had to tell the guy to turn up or down, but I need it up
when they're loud and I need it down when they're quiet. And anyway, so I did the whole like five
hour red carpet or whatever. And I got off the platform and I take my inner out and I was like,
Whoa. And I couldn't stand up. I couldn't hear anything out of my right ear. I got home and I
was like, Oh, this happened to me before at another thing where I had so much wax in my ear
that when I put my in-ear monitor in, it made like a plug. And I was like, Oh, this happened
again this is not what i want to do so on monday morning i wake up at 8 a.m i go to the ear doctor
and i'm like can you take that wax out of my ear i can't hear anything and she's like yeah there's
nothing in your ear she's like uh so they put me on crazy steroids which i'm on and she was like
your hearing is either gonna come back or it's not but then they did but it has come back thank
god but for two days i couldn't hear out of the ear it was very weird anyway long story short i
have to go in tomorrow morning to a hearing test because she's like your hearing is actually so
bad which i know you might be like meredith marks she just got her sexy hearing aids i know i might
need a sexy she was like your your hearing is is so bad and i know that because chris will walk
across the room like he'll come around the corner in the kitchen i won't hear him coming and i'll
be like like i get scared so i know she said i had an old ear doctor tell me you have that
you have the hearing of someone that has had in-ear monitors in their ears loudly for 10 years
and i was like yeah so yeah and you know i can't do anything normal like i couldn't just hear it
like a normal person i have to have it at 180 so i can really in here anyway so keep you updated
guys it might be your shit i can't wait to have my sexy ear things um it's just crazy so small now
well it's crazy how many times you've like randomly lost your hearing now didn't you lose
your hearing when you were sick yeah i know the ears are not good we're not in a good place
those little ears and then Chris is like did you go did you go and I was like I have other things
to do and he's like Kelty there's literally nothing more important than you being able to
hear and I was also they have they have um done studies where the if you don't take care of your
your hearing and get yourself to peak hearing whether that means like getting earwax out
regularly are using hearing aids dementia is a big link to people so like my dad has had you know
as they get older they just start to like lose their hearing it gets really shitty and so he
just had too much pride to go and get a freaking hearing aid and we said it's been linked like
untaken care of i can't find words today i'm so brain dead but basically by not taking care of
you're hearing it is linked very highly to like dementia later in life because you're sort of
dulling you're so dulled your brain is not firing you're not picking up on all the things like
you're kind of just half asleep because you're not hearing half the things yeah so your brain
activity goes to yeah so that's the only way we're able to get him to to do it because i was like
you want to be asking me the same questions like four times in a row in five years me and
Tob Tobin. Here we go. Get those hearing aids, girl. Get those hearing aids. They're like tiny
now. No, it's fine. You can get a bedazzled one or something. I mean, I would. It'll be your new
identity. I can't wait to do my People Magazine exclusive. You could get your another endorsement
deal for some company that makes hearing aids to the pharma baby. Make it sexy. I mean, honestly,
i know there it is i'm getting more and more interesting as i deteriorate it's perfect
yeah just as you're recovering from your hysterectomy we have something new
yeah thank god lucky you i was feeling so boring you guys wasn't you know it wasn't enough um okay
well anyway this has been fun i'm glad we got to catch up um and we you know i think in 2025
