I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. I'm so excited to be here. It's the holiday season. and a whoop-dee-whoop waddle-ee-wock just around the 12 o'clock he'll be coming down the chimney now

Can I start Good Week, Bad Week? Because I have to tell you what I got. Yes, we're off to the races. it is time for good week yes it is bad week oh no hold on i gotta itch my ear okay i you know i'm all about treat yourself and this year was a big year for me because i rediscovered my love of a nerd loafer i really started on tour dsw i was like i want to wear a flat i don't want to wear heels so i got all these loafers and then i started my mom had bought me these like crazy socks in japan like years ago and never wore them and now i have like five pairs of loafers but my problem was it didn't feel right in my loafer when i was like going to something that was you wanted

to heal so for for the holiday season this year i invested full in price usually i buy everything that i buy that's designer used because it's like half the price yeah but i bought for myself for Christmas, the Prada beautiful healed loafer shoe. It just arrived. I'll bring it out. I'll show you exactly the shoe. It's a beautiful shoe and it came in a beautiful box. Not that you can see this, but the shoe it's so beautiful. It has a big heel and now I can wear it with my little socks and a dress and feel like i'm so beautiful love it those are so cute merry fucking christmas me that's it that's um my bad week is that chris and i did the thing this year where we looked at each other we looked at all of our bills and our renovations and our ira contributions it got

really dark as I, as I just bought like an expensive pair of shoes. And he was like, let's not do gifts this year. Let's not do gifts this year. And I was like, yeah, of course. Like I get it totally. We're not like, why would we just buy something for the house? Like, obviously like I would like to buy some paint for my kitchen, you know? So, but then it made me realize that like, I don't really do gifts anymore. And I'm a Becca because I'm at the point where all the children in my life get cards with money. And you know, it's like, there's nothing to wrap and it's just feels like unfestive for me. So that's it. That was my bad week. Oh, I know that's not very good. Sorry. But anyway, I just love the meticulousness of like picking out

my yearly holiday wrap and the bows. So just do it. Why can't you just do like some small no i will i'll do trinkets of course but like you know there's just i it's just one of my favorite seasons is like all the boxes and stuff and like i know that i don't want to waste money on really stupid stuff so i'm not going to be like doing the thing where i like wrap up a stupid gag gift or whatever like we're just not doing that this year for chris and i and for callie callie there's no christmas coming for you you're not getting callie a gift i mean maybe i'll get her some balls but anyway it's like kind of an only gifts for me kind of christmas which maybe is another good week anyway who's next i'll go um so my good week i mean i don't know if this is a good week or

a bad week but i was uh looking through the bachelor subreddit as i do and there was a post that chris harrison posted and he was with brad womack and talking about me you guys womack got hot was he hot this is my good week i just saw brad womack oh my god this is weird like in person in person wait you do yours this is so weird okay no there's this picture of him and chris harrison he's hot like he's beefy and he's hot and he's like a silver fox and he has this big beard and i was like what is going on this man is attractive kelty is he has a lover no i'm looking he was with a he was with a woman um when i saw he is much better looking than he was on the bachelor and look at his fine wine yes i'm not a beard person

but i'm not either but like he's they had him like to playboyed up who is this she blonde who is the woman no there's oh ex-girlfriend jenna mays on the show oh i don't know anyway i'm sorry she's spiraling um that that was my good week he doesn't love me no i didn't realize i didn't watch his season so i actually don't really know what he looks like but i didn't think he was hot but like now he's like a beefy hot they never put unhot people on the bachelor sometimes not not on purpose they're never like this guy's like a seven like they always assume that he's got a vibe you know he's got some kind of a vibe um that's my good week so my bad week is a bad week by proxy okay so i have this group chat with like nine of my friends and

we just we always are texting about everything like all day every day you can pop and pop out so one of my friends texted the group chat and she goes so i've accidentally been taking viagra and we're like oh no what happened she goes when my husband got his vasectomy i think they prescribed it just in case he needed it but he never took it and it's in my bundle of pills that I take every day and it looks just like my Wellbutrin. So she was taking Viagra thinking it was her antidepressant for two weeks. Did she feel different? She goes, um, she goes, I'm more concerned with the fact that I haven't, I haven't been taking my Wellbutrin. It makes sense that my house is disgusting mess and I have no energy. And then she goes, I will say I've been more

interested in masturbating lately, but I assume that's just because I'm home alone. Wow. This is incredible damn so she's horny and depressed but i'm like that is like the best thing well butrin and all that those drugs they turn off your sex drive oh yeah it like kills your libido so she was like putting her libido into hyperbalance and just sitting around masturbating all day i have heard i think i've heard lately that they are giving women viagra for their sex drive. I might've made that up, but I feel like I did. Yeah. Okay. Back to bread. Well, Mac, Becca, your turn. This is so weird. Okay. So I went to the spa milk and honey. They have a bunch of locations in Austin and I went with a couple of girlfriends. We had a really nice day and we're

sitting in the like area, the lounge area where like the teas are and everybody's in their bathrooms and waiting for their service or they've just come out. And I'm there with a friend from the neighborhood named Katie, who, um, I think she watched the bachelor. I think she's like a bachelor watching person. And I actually think I'm watching person. She says it like, it's like a, like a disease. Um, and she were wrapping things up. We're about to go back into the locker room and change. And I had seen this like cute blonde girl come walking into the area and sit down. And she was met shortly after by a guy, but I saw like the back of his head and he sits down and like we're getting ready to stand up and my friend Katie goes oh my god did you watch The

Bachelor do you know Brad Womack and I was like I mean do I know Brad Womack like are you kidding me she goes he's sitting he's right there he's sitting right there and I was like there's no way like there's no what are the chances that we just spent three months on the road talking about brad womack almost every single city because kelsey was on his episode and we're walking out and i look at him and i'm like it's hot brad womack he looks so hot and i was like i'm so mad that we're at a spa and it's such an inappropriate place to ask for a photo when you're in bathrobes like so inappropriate but i just that was the craziest thing i've ever experience because what are the chances does he live here he must because if he's with chris

harrison he's a bar oh go to the bar what's the bar i don't know when i was on the batch with him he owned a bar it was his job was he from austin i have no idea okay i'm gonna have to get to the bottom of this i barely knew the man i knew he didn't like me which is all i know about him You know who I can ask? Lauren Zima. I can ask Lauren Zima. Well, yeah, he was with Chris Harrison. Wait, but I, sorry.

And then to go back, Jack, Chris Harrison is on the bachelor Reddit, like talking. No, somebody just posted a picture of Chris Harrison. I was like, that's a weird choice by him. Okay. I thought when you said that, that was, that was the case too. Wow. Way to hang on. Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

Um, yeah, I Googled him. He, he's like a zaddy now. He is hot. Wait, it's saying now we're okay. so this chris harrison post says now we're neighbors we have no excuses so good catching up with my old friend as good a man as you'll ever find apologies to lauren zima for boring you with all of our old stories this means he's also my neighbor you guys this means go to his bar because when you're at the bar is a very appropriate place to ask for a picture and to

talk about kelty yeah yeah i want to you know what i need you to go on a triple date you guys harrison zima brad wilmack whoever he's dating yeah and i need you to mine all the i need you to voice record the whole thing bring it back here and you have to bring up kelty you have to remember this that girl that did the kick high kick yeah oh my god i love it so much yeah okay and then just show like a lot hold on then i have this other idea bring a bunch of like the worst pictures of me like don't bring beautiful pictures in the red carpet be like you really missed out because she invented post-its or like something like that and be like you know space x she's the main funder of it but she looks like this and see what he says i hate you you're such

an idiot you really missed out okay so my bad week and i can't decide i can't decide if i need to be and i'll accept feedback on this from both of both you and the audience okay my trials and tribulations of like auditioning are they awful boring love it uninteresting am i manifesting putting out into the world too much negativity like i don't know if i should keep sharing you need to share but you need to end it with a positive energy if not this something better you know okay okay yeah good good that's a good feedback okay so i had an audition um a self-tape which was like the very first step of you know whatever okay did a self-tape i really was like fine it was not it was nothing amazing it was actually

for like a show that the type of show that it was it's called a procedural show so procedural shows are like your ncaa ncis your suv blue bloods like chicago fire chicago med like all those kind of like every episode there's like a new guest star with like a new problem and yeah whatever yeah so procedural writing is oftentimes like not the hardest acting on the planet it's very much like you're just spitting out information like if you're playing a doctor you're kind of like and this this this and this is the case today and we're gonna go in there and we're gonna fix it like it's not really you don't need to like method act to prepare no not at all you're not like emoting. So I decided to do something that people have been doing for years because

ever since we've been able to audition from home, you can really like rig things up to your advantage. Teleprompter. I did the poor man's teleprompter. I did literally underneath the camera was my full lines in like large, bold, bold font genius. And I had to give this full blown, very technical speech about something. And I did not even bother learning the lines. I was like, I'm so tired. I'm so never getting this. And I go and I record it and you can't even really tell from the video that I'm simply reading off of a page. You can't tell. Do you feel like the acting is kind of good? you know it just didn't require it's like this person saying this this character saying this information is simply like it's like in a business meeting relaying information there's no feeling

right right so i'm like what was your character like what were you a doctor um i wasn't a doctor i was um like a kind of like an attorney adjacent thing i don't want to say because i also don't want to give away what the show was because i also don't want to like myself with casting directors being like this bitch doesn't even care anymore so it was like a lot of words and i just was like i'm tired i don't want to learn this to like not get another job right but then i had a call back and i had to learn the lines for real because the call back it's like you're in you're on the zoom and you're having to like make adjustments and be really present i fully bombed because I didn't ever learn the lines and I couldn't at a certain point, this block came

into my brain and I just couldn't do it. I stumbled through as if you took a random person walking down the side of the road and you were, you were like, do you want to audition for a TV show? And that's the performance that I gave. Did you get it? So you were on the zoom. So you, you were bombing live yeah i mean bombing to me was like you know you did fine it was fine it was probably fine but i just it's like i can't cheat some people can cheat yeah some people can really can get through things like when we would be on the set of like certain tv shows like there were people who could learn lines the day of and they had them in the drawer like beside them no it's like people that can like study for the test at the very last minute and get an a yeah and i just

you know what the one time i tried to cheat it's like i just get caught and i'm just so sick of having to be with somebody who tries so hard so it's a learning lesson this is there's a lesson here which is earth wants you to work because you did get a call back so you do have to keep trying you have to keep trying and making the effort because you're burnt out because you've made the effort so much and learn all these things and yeah and it's like nothing's gonna happen but things are going to happen because you probably would have got this if you'd been more prepared. So it's time to put on your busy boots and do the work because you are talented and people do want you. And it's not just a fruitless, like you're never going to get

anything. Like you're going to get something. So treat each audition with the love and care it deserves, even if it's like a procedural, whatever. It's just so hard to care. I know. I know. and he was like and you were in your brother's room and and you were inappropriate with him the mustache it was so funny yeah actually we needed to call hr a few times during that episode yeah which is you yeah um and becca you had your cam moment i had my cam moment birthday with cam guys i'm still manifesting for for my fourth this is something i will manifest for my 40th birthday i'm gonna have a private concert with cam and my closest friends oh i think you can get her to do that yeah that's attainable it's price i'm sure it's very pricey yeah but i i bet that you not if you instagram i bet you could get a friends and family discount yeah we'll see we'll see i love that that's a good goal that is a good goal that's a good

manifest i turned 40 remember that was the best day of my life um you got those really cool thigh boots that we gave you and you wore them for the first time a couple days ago i did just wear them for the first time. I was not confident enough to wear them. It's a big look. It's a big look and I love them and I've tried to wear them many times, but I didn't have the right outfit. And honestly, I didn't even have the right outfit when I tried to wear them this time. And I came out with an outfit and you guys were like, no. And then I came out with a sweater dress and Becca's like, no. And then I went to my closet and I found a baby doll and I was like, this is perfect. And it worked out beautifully. And I actually have them at my new job and I'm going to be wearing

them all the time now that I've broken in and understand how to wear them it's it it was great it was the best day and I was so scared to turn 40 and this year like I don't feel any worse or really any older I just am now have a 40 number and as we were on tour someone told us that when you're born in the 80s and 90s you can say that you were born at the end of the 19th century which makes me feel like oh put a corset on and i was the late 1900s yeah the late 1900s and it's true and devastating um the other thing that happened in january is that i got bangs and i instantly hated them and i actually love the way they look and i had a dream the other night that i let the people at e cut more bangs on me um and that i looked great your life is just like

you're in this constant rotation of bangs or no bangs it's like deal or no deal the problem is is that i love to wear my hair like this when i'm not working and not doing things which is like just a low slicked bun or pony and when you have bangs it's problematic i know that my forehead's too big and i have a receding hairline i don't care give it to god okay i've actually just known i've never known somebody to dream about manifest about think about obsess about certain things like nails and hair more than kelty knight it's pretty insane it's it's shocking but she's our very own snowflake she is um february was a big month for jack vanek wait january i got covid that's all that happened to me in january cool why don't way to bring that

up um they announced that big emo fest in february and jack talked about it i swear to god on four podcasts about getting ready for it about preparing she was already looking for outfits there was a pinterest board for looks this was actually that was during january and i remember because when i was making all those posts about it i had covid so that's how i have my demarcation of that but um it was a great moment it really was like my moment to shine it was my moment of going viral on tiktok you know it was really good times i miss those times hey becca did anything happen for you in february not a whole lot actually ford was born my child was born my child was born and um

yeah it was a big game changer because i was thinking when we started this episode i'm like i don't even know what the happened this year i mean aside from having a baby but i'm like oh i think that's the point is that you really have nothing going on in the year except for having a baby so nothing is as important or putting all your energy into it yeah it was just so weird when you were on baby watch you know what i mean yeah and and especially because you did have a surrogate and so it's like you know my friends that had have been pregnant and like basically your body just shuts you down for the last week like you can't move you can't walk you're like you know but you were like literally still like doing meetings planning thing doing podcasts like up

until the mo and you were like okay guys can't work tomorrow the baby's coming and i was like whoa like you didn't actually have that like nest time so it felt like so shocking and it's really true that like when you're carrying a baby they say that you do get those hormones kick in that you want to nest and the nursery and the labeling of the things and the yada yada yada like i did not have any of that like yeah his nursery still not done i still have shit in boxes like it's it's so strange i mean i really could have used some of those hormones to get my life in order but yeah i didn't have it so it was a real shock to the system when he came popping out into the world do you think that if you did carry him you would have had like could you see yourself getting

into that zone i could see becca nesting well i'm such a homebody and i do love my like like my space I love organizing I like feeling ready for things so I feel like I probably would have I don't but I don't know it's so like interesting to not know the other side of it you know if one day maybe one day I'll just magically carry a baby but I don't think so I have a question for you and it has nothing to do with the lady gang year in review but I just want to know what is your like cuteness trigger like for me it's baby socks like newborn baby socks when they're like this big they're so tiny and they're just like you could pick them up and it's like a thimble of a sock that to me like just is my trigger of like oh my god my heart's

melting like what was your baby trigger cuteness trigger a big shitty diaper i'm trying to remember like like an item like yeah i mean obviously your baby but like was there a thing like when he was swaddled or like mornings or bath time or like a toy or like a clothing item where you're like oh my god look at this like mini jean jacket there was something there was something that was like a clothing well i feel like it's anything that zach orders him online because zach buys all of his clothes online for the most part because he's very passionate about yeah how he dresses and he's like a little bit like kanye west where it's a lot of neutrals um ford is the very monochromatic yeah he's so neutral my friend was here this weekend she's like your kid like matches

your house like it's very weird it's like just another accessory and then he himself has the coloring of our house which is like so strange but um i think when like zach orders stuff and it comes in the mail and it's a surprise to me and i open it like he had a drop a pair of like drop crotch corduroy pants oh my god from zara and i was just like i think i can't like baby drop crotch pants oh my god i love it like your crotch is already dropped you're wearing a diaper diaper i know five inches long it's so it's just yeah that kind of stuff just it slays me so but also the thought of like zach on zara.com picking out a drop oh my god i can see it zach loves shopping for clothes for him that's really cute yeah what are you gonna say jack oh i know what

mine is for babies it's those it's those little like star bunting kind of outfits that it's they're like a knitted star they have like a little head and their arms go in the sides and then the little legs have you not seen those never in my life and then the little baby oh my god i gotta find one they're so like i want a baby just for that reason i've never even heard of this i'll find it um okay also it was a iconic moment when i fucked up and i sent the lady gang baby present by myself that was these things oh my god that's so cute that is so cute i've never seen that and then if you like when they're like crawling around or like moving around they just look like a starfish you should get one well he already he already crawled i don't think he can oh yeah

i have seen a baby like walking around in it i don't know when babies walk but i'll find you wow i think he needs one um yep yeah kelty sent the gift without telling me um it made me look like a bad friend you bitch yep we turned in the final copy of lady secrets all the way back in February so it's a gift that kept on giving throughout the entire year um March was a wash I was in Canada the whole month the only thing that we did of note in March because Becca was on maternity leave for most of the month like we had kind of we had a couple guests on the show um was we donated to make March matter again and I think it's our sixth year so I thought that was very poignant to write down april april is a big month because it was the month that jason tartick

famously came on the lady gang podcast and jack van and he promoted the lady game pod and then what happened jack for those of you who didn't come on tour you didn't hear this story yeah um yeah jason came on our podcast he was so nice like such a good episode he was great um and then he went to go promote the podcast by like tagging us in his stories and he tagged me and i went to look and to the dms to repost it and then i scrolled up a little bit and realized that i had tried to hit on him on multiple different occasions throughout the years which meant that he saw that as he was posting it so it was a really embarrassing moment i talked about it on tour in front of caitlin uh to make it more embarrassing for myself so that was real good made me feel warm

and fuzzing inside it was amazing um in april i filmed super fan which was the highlight of my life. And I'm happy to say that Jack's dancing at the LL Cool J episode did make it in the final episode of her. Um, so I'm very excited for everyone to see it, uh, this year. Um, okay. Uh, Jack, you had your birthday in May. I had my birthday in May. I went to Oregon, did some wine tasting with my friends and the alien convention yes the big alien convention of oregon in mcminnville oregon one of the biggest in the country just happened to be on my birthday i feel like it was a stroke of luck it was great and we had a really important conversation on the lady gang podcast um in may and i wanted to bring it up because i flagged it we had a

conversation i think about how much you hated the lita shoe becca and how jack you were kind of still into the lita i don't think becca knew what the lita was no you didn't know i thousand percent knew what the lita was because we've been talking about this stupid shoe since lady gang tv when they were still in kelty's closet right kelty jack and i we all collectively said it was a hideous shoe at that time yes yes and then we're like never and then fast forward fast forward six months and we went on the lady gang tour and jack picked hand picked out a platform shoe that is like the lita with a bigger heel no those aren't like the lita at all those are literally just heeled boots but it's the same vibe it's like an aggressive platform i love an aggressive platform

i will never i will never get down for the leaders i mean maybe i will you never know i would say jack you're somebody that should never say never i will never say never you just it's like one day a switch will flip in my brain and i'm like i love them you'll see enough girls on tiktok yes bring them back and i still have mine so i'm all we ready you know you could sell yours for a lot of money you just got to wait for like the peak of it vintage leaders yeah for sure um becca you had a big may as well you pooped on the toilet while holding a child oh wow that was may that sounds about right memories it was a big crushing thing for you and you came onto the podcast very disheveled yeah because you had until you've shat holding a child and it was

the most relatable thing the feedback we got and people were like yep she's a mom now like this is what happens yeah it was because he was between he was no longer a blob and wouldn't and could roll over so it couldn't put him on like a little um whatchamacallit docketot in front of me because i had had many times before that where he was still teeny tiny blob and i could put him in the docketot and leave him in the bathroom floor where i'm seeing him but pooping and this was we turned the corner of he needed to be held at all times and i needed to take a shit so it's not much better now i mean now i go and i take a shit and he crawls over to me and then he pulls himself up onto my thigh and he's like basically i mouth level with like me shitting

into a toilet that's how they get that good bacteria though so their immune systems are really good. It's true. You're doing the best work, mom. I'm trying. animals which was a real game changer yeah it was in june because this was the time when i'd spent all of may in canada and then i had got my brother a stuffed animal that he's not interested in at all and then i kept you know the stuffed animals and now i have multiples and um do you think that we should develop a line of adult stuffed animals yes i don't hate that i feel like it could be like really chic like a chic stuffy yeah like a chic stuffy like a like a starfish and like a a nude or like a pastel yeah or like a bird not burlap but like a comfy burlap that would like match with the pillows really like the most like you know what i want thoughtful stuffy ford has those loveys you know where it's like the little handkerchief square yeah on the top of it corner

saw the billboard speak now or forever hold your peace. We did not see any jump in ticket sales or book sales from this time square billboard. And I think they did what Spotify does is when you see artists on spot or on Instagram and they're like, look at me, I'm in time square, new record. They put that in billboard up at two in the morning. They take a picture of it. It's never during the day. It's not during hot times for advertising dollars. They put it up at two in the morning and then they show Rihanna the video and she thinks she's a time square new billboard. clutch bag and it looks like her tits are hanging out or her tit is hanging that is like the perfect way to use the word tit it was definitely a tit her tits out she's laughing around at the last time i looked at this video jack you had 16 million views of it oh man look at me go i'm still shadow man where did you find this video can i tell you that ricky my manager has a ex employee who now works at tiktok yeah and he screenshotted a message from his friend because he had a question about screen about um shadow banning shadow ban and the guy goes ha ha ha we don't actually do that it's just people's paranoia i know but i feel like they say they don't do it but they really do but it's like somebody that doesn't i mean maybe he's sworn to secrecy but

i don't know i feel like this person would have been like yeah it happens and here's why or here's yeah it could just be that the timing it's kind of like i think what's going on is that it's like when i hit the sweet spot for instagram i just happened to join at a time where it was growth central growth central and then you guys were doing your tiktok thing kind of at the height of growth central and now everybody's on the platform too oversaturated oversaturating this bullshit yeah yeah another reason to dive into raw reels it's all raw reels listen my reels are killing it reels it's like now you're back where it's at yeah when tiktok bombs at least instagram's doing okay again uh november we had our final shows on tour we launched the flash flashback
