Starting point is 00:00:00 well what is this welcome to the lady gang that's amazing say that again the lady gang things are about to change around here each week we catch up with hollywood's hottest girl posse kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanik hello hello hello welcome to the lady gang i'm becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty knight hello jack and i just cracked open our celsius's do you have yours with you cheers bitch cheers peach vibe baby i'm so worried about you guys i'm a one celsius a day girl that's still too much i think that's probably still too much i gotta be honest especially with someone with anxiety jack i just worry it's true the level of anxiety i have is you know very high off celsius so i can't
Starting point is 00:00:53 imagine you. Well, you're gulping them down at like 9 PM. So that's the difference. I feel like you'd be better off like vaping all day. Like your health would be better. Is vaping like similar feeling? Yeah. Nicotine is a really great upper. Like it's like a nice little zip, you know, I'm not telling you to vape. I'm just telling you. Dude, what if Kelty became addicted to nicotine in her early forties? That would be so strange. It would just, but it also not would not shock me. would not I was never a smoker I have a question though for you Kelty and like your Celsius intake have have you ever been on any form of like Adderall prescribed maybe you need to be plus the Celsius or no I don't know I feel like I don't you're a mystery
Starting point is 00:01:44 we need like a doctor a medical doctor psychiatrist what does the Adderall do it keeps you focused Well, if you have ADHD, it helps you to focus. It's a stimulant. So you're like, this is like armchair expert, like whatever. But as far as I know, so people who are ADHD, when they take Adderall, it helps them to like focus and pay attention. If you don't have ADHD and you take Adderall, that's like the people who use it as a party drug where you're like up, up, up, and you can stay up till five o'clock in the morning. It's like, kind of feels like taking or doing cocaine. Yeah. But like it kind of just like levels you out and lets you focus on the things that you need to in life. Yeah. There is a part of me that is more focused on a Celsius.
Starting point is 00:02:30 So maybe I do, but that's caffeine. So I don't know the answer, but I'll bring it up to my team of therapists and psychiatrists. It might be worth bringing up. You never know. Well, my psychiatrist, the last time I met with her, she's like, yeah, I feel like you're doing really well maybe we should take you off Prozac and I was like don't do this to me mommy I was like I know like I finally found a good vibe going I was like I'm finally doing good don't with me now Prozac and five Celsius a day you know that's all I need that's all she needs okay well it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no who wants to go first I'll go first Jack um so speaking of celsius this wasn't going to be my good week but since we're just so celsius heavy i've been tagging
Starting point is 00:03:18 them so much on instagram and guess who finally wrote me back get that bag baby they wrote me back they gave me an email i'm like dude get like i think if anybody what did you write them please sponsor me um i think that i uh i had i had written like please sponsor the lady gang in like a post like a story and so they're like oh let's have this conversation let's move it to email like blah blah blah but i'm like if anybody needs a sponsorship it's us especially for lady world i feel like yeah i should probably we should remove the part where i'm telling you it's probably not healthy to have as many as you have in a day it's fine they're not this is free right now you know i'm sure salsies themselves would be like why don't you limit yourself to yes it's like drink
Starting point is 00:04:02 respond drink responsibly yeah you know which kelty's not doing no she's sure i'm not sure i'm not it's like the same thing you shouldn't have like 15 espresso shots a day you know but if you do who's gonna stop you good time it's just adulthood you're you're your best friend and your worst enemy yeah um okay so well my real good week is i um just got done with doing an extensive blood test i finally found a naturopath who is amazing her name is madison thivier she's in orange County, a lady ganger recommended me to her. Um, so I was so happy that so many people gave me good recommendations. She actually listened to me for a full hour of all the things that are going on. Um, and I had talked about on Instagram cause I'm dealing with chronic hives
Starting point is 00:04:52 right now. And, uh, my other chronic hives alleged, but like, we'll see, I don't know. fibroid dr madison uh yeah anyways so she is amazing and she sent me off to do like a million different blood tests i have to shit in a bucket and get some uh stool sample the whole thing um but when i was there i did like nine vials of blood it was like a lot of blood and it reminded me of when jared and i froze our embryos and we both had to go do blood tests and he we like i go to meet him outside of the blood test he was like oh my god i almost fainted he's like i was so woozy afterwards i got on the elevator and i saw the world closing in on me and i was like oh how many how many like vials did they take from you and he was like one and i did like 10 and i was
Starting point is 00:05:46 just like skipping your period every month and on my period and it was like it just reminded me of that because I was just like men are so fragile and fragile beings fragile delicate and Becky you just reposted that thing today about how women have to sleep longer because we have bigger brains and I'm like because we know because we use our brains more which is even more embarrassing for them yeah but it's like why are we we're so strong and men are just like so weak it's so funny clearly we're strong i mean the majority of us were put on this earth to like actually grow humans inside of us be and birth them outside out of tiny holes and then be the only ones to like feed them like and of course we're being built for more and then now we have to do the
Starting point is 00:06:36 same amount of work as men do and that and then have the weight of the world on our shoulders yes it's and they get nine vials of blood you know every day it's like come on i can't wait to investigate, discover your hives. I know me too. Now that I'm healthy, it's so boring over here, you know? And I'm like, I need a health journey. You're needing a medical crisis. I need a medical crisis so badly. And so I'm right here. Yeah. So I'm like, get me the printouts. I want to highlight them. Where's your folder? I can't wait. I'm actually quite certain. Like if someone we're like a really, um, you know, veteran listener of lady gang. I think you could probably chart out since 2015, like what crisis health crisis, Kelsey, Kelsey, Kelsey, Kelsey's health
Starting point is 00:07:26 crisis has been like, I think each like quarter there's been a new, yes. Well, you need something to latch on to, you know, well, yeah, I mean I did, but now my identity is picture of health. oh amazing you went from like wrist injuries to Hashimoto's I mean broken his foot to me when I went across those remember when I broke my foot in the Louboutin yeah I had my chronic hive era yeah did you like a real one yes you had your dry lips from Accutane era yes that was a self-induced health crisis but still a health crisis anyway um anyways that's my good week um I'll give everybody updates since I've now made this public knowledge of my health journey so how exciting we'll see well I couldn't take any medicine for the past week so I was just literally
Starting point is 00:08:21 just dying so now I can actually take antihistamines whatever this is boring okay my bad week which is also kind of a good week so Becca the other week on the podcast recommended these fermented prunes that were they prunes or nothing's been more popular in the Facebook group than has anyone actually ordered Becca's plums and do they work the share plums share plums. Um, I ordered them literally while we were podcasting. Cause I'm like, I need this so bad. I finally got them in the mail and oh my god you guys do they work yes do they work too much yeah i took one here i made a i made a big error but i took one at like 8 p.m that night i chowed it down there's a little i don't think are you supposed to eat the whole thing i think my
Starting point is 00:09:20 friends that do it are eating like bite of bite no no the whole thing okay and then i also jack go bigger go home vanik i didn't well they come in individual packages so i'm like it'd be weird to eat half of it then it's like open and whatever i didn't think about it i didn't really look at the um serving size i just assumed it was one so i took it and then i also forgot that i had taken it by the time i went to bed and i took my normal herbs my chinese herbs that i take to go to the bathroom. I woke up at 2 AM and it felt like the devil himself was ripping apart my insides. And then I was shitting my pants from like two to four in the morning. And I've got to say, I mean, you know, when you can tell if what has come out has been sitting there for
Starting point is 00:10:09 in your stomach for a while, like I was getting cleaned out. Like it was painful and horrible, but also amazing you know all I ever want is to have like a flushed out system um so and then it was it kept kind of going the entire day the next day but it was great and I'm like in a pinch when I travel I'm like I'm taking these with me they're travel friendly you can just throw one in your bag but um I don't recommend anybody taking them unless you are like severely constipated well also my friends who take it are people that actually read instructions on how to put things inside of their bodies um i'm pretty sure most of them have like a little bite with like a warm tea or warm liquid i had the warm night so i think that if you do the serving size correctly
Starting point is 00:10:58 you might actually just have like a nice little flush out each morning that's how these girls swear by it oh they should make the serving size smaller but it's an actual but it's an actual plum yes so like it's not like it's they're making it in a factory you can't like cut it apart it's just a full they should make the plum smaller they should maybe they should call mr baby carrot and be like hey how'd you do that again oh you just shave it down and cut it into little pieces perfect um but there wasn't plums could be our lady gang multi-million dollar thing i mean listen the murray's plums and make mini murray's plums but they could be lady murray's where who's murray i don't know aren't they named murray's plums share plums oh um wow i'm really happy for
Starting point is 00:11:44 you jack i because i think in all the years that i have known you there hasn't been a really great quick fix yeah well this works no how is it different from work oh you don't want me oh my god wow there's there's this one like pharmaceutical drug that i've taken before that made me feel pretty much the same way, but like it made me poop my pants for like a day straight. But this is the natural version. Um, so anybody that wants to be natural and also shit your brains out and everything, get everything flushed out of your system, share plums. Cool. Get them. And there was a Facebook group also about our Facebook post about this, about the plums and everybody was saying that they work. So it's not just me. Yeah. Um, okay. Well I'll go next. My good week
Starting point is 00:12:33 is quick and easy. And I told the girls this in New York. Um, I have another word for the dictionary. I was out to dinner with these, um, my mom's best friend came to see the lady gang show with my mom and she brought her niece and her niece's roommate. And they were like, you know, just like cute late twenties girls. Right. And they were talking about alcohol and we were ordering drinks. And she was like, I used to drink gin, but then I had a ginsident and now I haven't touched it ever again. So I feel like everyone I know has had a ginsident and it is so, it's just so good at describing what happens when most people drink gin. I have a question. Yeah. What is gin a liquor yes but what is liquor like i it's like fermented it's fermented yeah but like
Starting point is 00:13:29 what it's a potato no i don't think comes from what's the tree is a potato juniper well vodka can be made from potato rice or and also rice or and then also corn i think tito's is corn I don't know if I remember this correctly. Gin is juniper. That's why it tastes so yummy. It's a juniper tree? Juniper berry. Is it a berry?
Starting point is 00:13:57 Yeah, like a plant. I have no idea. Juniper berry is another botanical ingredient. Okay. Yeah. So vodka is made from fermented potatoes or grains, which it can include corn. Okay. And then gin.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Gin? I don't think I've ever had gin in my life. It's so good. Is it? It actually, a gin and tonic is delicious. It's just, I don't have great hangovers from gin. And I hear people get angry on gin. Really?
Starting point is 00:14:30 Well, people get angry on everything. I mean, ragey gin. Ragey. That's amazing, gincident. My bad week is something that was up in the Lady Gang Facebook group. And it's anonymous, so I'm not going to get anybody in trouble. but it is quite disturbing. Okay. Was it this morning? Yep. So it says, how would you feel if you got this while scheduling a fourth date with someone? He writes to her, can I make a
Starting point is 00:14:57 request? She says, dot, dot, dot. Yes. He says, I really like how your body looks, especially your legs. If you wear something that accentuates them, it would please me. That could be a pair of skinny jeans bro doesn't know those are out leggings or a cute skirt if you're comfortable with that i hope it's okay that i share what i like dude i saw this and then i was scrolling through all the comments because there is like hundreds of comments on it right now comments it's blowing up it's blowing up it's so the it would please me is so gross and cringy and it's like he has it seems like it's like leaning fetish but like he's this is cringe lord this is my favorite response in the comments from megan i she said i really like how money looks so please have a
Starting point is 00:15:51 wad of hundreds in your front pocket if it's big enough it will please me i hope it's okay that i share that it's so funny oh my god it's so good devil's advocate there is no devil or advocate in this scenario is there well we're trying to train men to communicate and so this is the things we need them to communicate about it's not what you no that's literally objectifying women is what he's communicating about well is it different than when i'm like i like chris knight when he dresses a little bit nautical yes and i was like it would make me no no it would make me so happy if you wore your striped navy sweater it's no my little sailor it's not body part it's talking about a body part it's not and it's not even
Starting point is 00:16:48 but shouldn't she be happy he loves he thinks her legs are gorgeous i think it's the wording i think it's the phrasing and the way that he's talking to her yes and someone said devil's advocate is english his second language which if it is then this is okay exactly that's what i'm saying he's trying to be like christian gray i really think he's trying to like do this whole like he has like a leg fetish which like no fetish seeming like you have whatever fetish you want i know he won't be messaging me i have a thing for short legs i said no one i have a thing for chronic hives all over the legs please show them off oh um i have a thing for a few broken foot scars that you can't stop talking about even though it's been 10 years bring them on well
Starting point is 00:17:37 he might, you'd be good for him. I'm not so, I'm not so sure that this isn't cause he did, he was self-aware enough to be like, I hope it's okay. Yes. But it's just, I'm telling you the, the phrase that throws it off is that it would please me. I think that he could have said something like you have the most beautiful legs. Like, you know, there's a way to have said that. also they don't don't know each other while they've been on four dates four dates is a lot of dates jack after four dates i had had intercourse with many exactly i'm just saying like four dates is we're in we're basically married if they've had sex also then this would be less alarming but it doesn't sound like they have i mean i don't know that's what there is a
Starting point is 00:18:23 comment about that they're like have they been intimate because this is like an intimate sort of like a phrasing you know and i don't know i'd get the i'd get the cringe only because the only because of how he said it would please me i'm like you're trying to be like some dom gross christian gray sort of a thing and it's like not it sounds like the kind of dms you get when people want pictures of your feet it does sound like that you're right becca but also i'm giving him the ben i want an update anonymous i need to know what happens well did you wear the leggings she's probably not going on the date because everybody in this chat is like ew they're like run i don't feel that way i feel like great he's expressing himself maybe that expression is
Starting point is 00:19:09 not what you want but at least he's and then he was self-aware enough to be like sorry like i hope this is okay well it's also one of those things that's so funny because it's like it depends on how hot he is. A hundred percent. If he's not hot, then it's like run for the hills. But then if he's super hot, it's like, it was really sexual. Yes. A hundred percent. Wow. Okay. Well, my bad week is that I, um, also had a really big, uh, fame thing happened to me. it's a bad week in my DMS with a brand. Um, I was approached by Murray cheese. Um, they have seen that I love cheese and they would love to partner with me on an exclusive influencer deal with Murray cheese. So I don't know much about Murray cheese. I just got it to my inbox and I don't know
Starting point is 00:20:11 how much money they have, but you may see me doing this soon. It's just like, it's not the Vogue four day fast. Do you know what I mean? It's not fashion week. Like it's like, whenever you feel good about yourself and then you get an email that's like, Hey, we saw your contact and we really think your brand aligns with cheese. Wait, I love it. It's like, it's like, um, it's like fancy cheese. Oh, fancy cheese, charcuterie. Oh, um, Marie's cheese is an artisanal cheese and specialty foods retailer based in greenwich village high-end cheese kelty oh no this is my good week now this is no baby bell wow i'm still a baby bell you guys i'm a cheese influence should wait i want to do it influencer yeah good for you
Starting point is 00:20:59 well that's a good week i have uh okay i'm changing that to my good week this is actually a great holiday gift i know like i you guys they haven't paid me yet stop talking about it sorry sorry we'll see you later they have 12 days of murray cheese wait that's so cute they have a vegetarian cheese feast i need to call derrick back and because he was like do you want to do this and i said this is embarrassing stop sending me these emails but now they have maybe i do want to be a cheese influencer with buttered pumpkin inside of it, dude. Wow. Okay. Well, here's my bad week. Uh, we just got back from Toronto and we had, I mean, we're going to talk about this after the break, but so many things happen in Toronto. But then the next day I was walking
Starting point is 00:21:46 around, my best friend, Katie came to the show. We were having just a nice, wonderful day in Toronto. And I was so excited to spend the day out with her. And we did the thing where you're going to spend the day in the city, but you check your bags at the lobby and then, you know, okay, we're on our own for eight hours. Like we don't have a home base. There's nowhere to go. There's not a public toilet. Like it's public toilets only from this point on, we're going to walk around. We're going to go to brunch. Well, about two hours into our beautiful best friend day in Toronto, a seagull shit on my head. I don't know, but that's good luck. It is. That's something grace gonna happen i had a pigeon shit on my shoulder on my way to acting class in new york
Starting point is 00:22:26 city and a week later i got my first broadway show oh my god really swear wait kelty maybe this means that lady world will be a success because that's i think a seagull is a big load too so that's it was huge and then i was she was like i was like ew and she had to go in thank god we're in canada where they actually will like give you a napkin if you don't buy something because you know sometimes like in america they're like can i have a napkin they're like you didn't purchase anything like okay anyway this nice man gave us a napkin and then I was like is it gone is it gone and she was like honestly you're gonna need to wash it but there was nowhere to wash it I had to fly like we wiped it out and then I had to fly the whole seven hours back to LA with the
Starting point is 00:23:05 poop in my head um also just a pronunciation question it's strange to me that you pronounce Toronto that way because what'd you say? Toronto, Toronto, Toronto is the way actual people from Toronto say Toronto and you're saying it Toronto. Okay. Becca, what are the things that you put on when it's cold out and you're in the winter and you put, they put them on Ford's hands, but they don't have individual fingers. They are called mittens. Yeah. That's not what they're called? What do you call them? Mittens. Mittens. You have to say your T's. Mittens. You guys remember when I got shamed because I didn't pronounce Antarctica the way that people wanted me to? Antarctica. Antarctica. Yeah. There's too many hard things. Sometimes it just has to flow
Starting point is 00:24:01 off your tongue. My last name, my married last name is M-A-R-T-I-N. It would be so weird if I was like, Becca Martin. Yeah, no, it's Martin. Martin. Martin. Martin. Martin. When we come back, we're going to tell you about some iconic things that happened. Toronto. Now back to the Lady Gang. All right. We are back. All right. So picture this. We're in Toronto. we're having the time of our lives. And Becca is at the part of the show where she gets to know the audience. And she's like, how many of you are OGs? How many of you have never heard of us before? Which by the way, is usually just like the boyfriends or something. You know what I mean? Or like one lady came with a friend. What happened then? The two ladies.
Starting point is 00:24:55 yeah there was a woman in in the back who raised her hand and then kelty said well i'm just curious how did you end up here because she wasn't here as a date to anybody or with friends i mean she was with friends but we also had everybody kind of like fill in the like random straggler spots and she stayed just like in the back row and she was like not moving down yeah she did not want to be closer to us so i was like well that's weird and she doesn't want to be saw the sign it sounded fun like literally the sign outside the theater that's what we always hope for a walk-up a walk-up ticket he was like well how is it so far how are you liking it and the woman goes so far so good a great great compliment from a stranger the show goes on
Starting point is 00:25:45 and on and on and on and would you like to say how it ended yes so the show ended and then we I don't know why, but hold on before we go to the end. I don't know why we thought it was so funny at the time, but like, we couldn't stop laughing about it because we were like, lady gang, 10 years of lady gang. So far, so good. Like, I think the tiredness and the like adrenaline of every doing New York show and then flying to Toronto and like it just being crazy. We just thought it was so funny when she was like, so far, so good. Cause normally a person would be like, you're doing great or whatever. She's like, so far, so good. Like her expectations where like it's okay but like I'm not sure where it's going but I do think that that should be our
Starting point is 00:26:27 next merch because it is very funny it's like lady gang established 2015 or 2015 to 2025 maybe for next year because it's packs more punch and it's like so far so good yeah it's just very on brand for us because it's just like mediocre you know yeah it's just not blowing anybody away we're just there um so anyways the show is gonna end and like right before the show ends I was like oh well you know we've had the whole show now like I wanted to ask the ladies I was like hey so what do you rate us what did you rate this show and she goes four out of five which I think is quite nice I mean that's an 80 percent that's pretty it's a b minus awesome but then she didn't offer any notes and you know that I wanted like okay this could have been
Starting point is 00:27:14 better that yeah I mean I know it was mostly me but like but like what if you're a listener now which I know you're not like where did we lose that point you know what I mean well at the live show where it's basically catered to people who listen to the podcast every week I think that's probably where she didn't give us another star is she didn't understand half of what we were talking about yeah I don't think it was a production value thing because you don't think it was your black I think that added to the ambience your control top tights was maybe where she went astray we don't know no we don't know the other thing that we found out um okay so far so good the other thing that we found out is we have a new I have a new word um pizzazz
Starting point is 00:28:00 and now it's pizzazz so if you guys can just know like when you're like what's Kelty bring to the lady gang if you can just let everyone know that i bring the zazz yeah the zazz it's like the riz but better yes it's like a little bit more sequins a little more dancing like the pizazz it's less charm it's less charm and more try hard is pizazz thirsty yeah yes oh yeah because you're really trying to get people's affection by like your your feathers yeah but in the pursuit you actually do add a lot of entertainment values so it is it's pizzazz yes the desperation the zazz it's zazz it's amazing are you gonna explain where zazz came from i have no idea i don't remember i drank three bottles of wine do you remember
Starting point is 00:28:55 are you kidding me i'm worried about your brain right now are you wait you don't remember the is there the dog in the airport the dog's name oh yeah oh my god yeah okay sorry no I didn't remember that tell the story Jack oh that was incredible that dog that was literally like four days ago well a lot of things happened since then guys okay so we're in the airport going to Toronto and we're just like kind of waiting by the gate and Becca is being best friends with Derek and making him feel like he's a friend and so he didn't tell me I was beautiful for like the first six hours of the day which is against his contract um and then I was annoyed so I went I walked away um no you didn't walk away we're kind of sitting just in the seats waiting at the gate and then
Starting point is 00:29:45 you pop up and you're like look at that dog and so we go over to see this dog it was a what kind of dog was it some sort of a weird ass terrier with a head but then it had a like a shaved body but with floofy feet and a floofy mullet haircut and then a shaved ear with the end of the ear grown out and put in a tiny little bobble yeah i also continue continue oh i was gonna say the owner is what we call a bowser and it's an owner of a dog that looks like the dog yes like they're kind of like twins the lady was fabulous she was an older lady um same color hair gray short hair cut on the shaved on the sides a red thick eyeglass to match you didn't remember this story now you remember all the specific details welcome to my brain i unlocked the folder and now it is
Starting point is 00:30:47 here now she is in anyways so we go over there and uh we just asked if we could see the dog um and the dog was named pizzazz the dog zazz for short yeah and then i did the thing where you know you like see a dog and you kind of like put you at the back of your hand oh no no no i didn't even go to pet it i don't go to pet dogs i just kind of like put my hand up you know so if they want to like sniff the back of your hand or something and she's like no no no she zaz is a working dog and i'm like what's working sorry what the fuck is working on who what could zaz possibly be doing right now she's dressed in a like outfit like dog show outfit she's ready to perform this is i this is when i saw you guys get up and go over and i said to derrick what are they
Starting point is 00:31:35 doing and he said they saw a dog and i had seen this woman walking down the hallway while i was headed to the bathroom before. And I thought to myself, this is how I know I would last longer on the streets than either one of you. I, I could have bet you a million dollars that that woman was not warm, friendly, or going to allow you to touch her dog. I would never have done that by myself. This is, and we talked about this. But then you went down to pet the dog and it's just, I didn't pet it. This is just not you attempted. This is just not the personality type of a human that wants you to come over,
Starting point is 00:32:13 wants you to touch her dog. There's just, there's no world. Like what part of that was inviting? I disagree 1000%. Zaz is, Zaz is her own person. If you're going to match your dog and shave the ear of your dog and then leave a little dangly bobble for us to enjoy, that to me screams pay attention to my dog but it was wrong it was wrong you're in no it was wrong
Starting point is 00:32:40 she was peacocking I misjudged I misjudged but it's like me I wear a ridiculous outfit and you think I want to be your friend in truth I just want you to look at me and know I'm fabulous be like I wish I could be friends with her but don't touch me I am Zazz which is why my new name is pizzazz well he's coming by my real name the funniest part of this is we are over there like to go look at the dog kelsey there was another dog kelsey the way that kelsey strikes up conversations with strangers is unlike anything that i've ever seen in my life like you just start talking and then it's like almost like you're entering the like middle of a conversation with somebody and you're just like going like just like talking about random shit and sometimes if
Starting point is 00:33:29 people even aren't listening to you you're still just like kind of like talking at them and it was so funny because we're standing there and I was imagining I'm like how different it would have been if I was by myself and went to kind of like look at the dog it would have been so fast I would have just been like oh your dog is so cute and then I would have left but like you were chatting it up talking about Callie being a street dog yeah I overheard her talking about what Callie does when she walks into the house every day and I'm like how did we get here it's been three seconds it's so true but but can I can we discuss the so I need Derek to do something for me and I hope he follows or was it no it was you Jack because Derek had already watched this the
Starting point is 00:34:13 comeback with Lisa Kudrow is a show that there are so many moments that Kelty is Valerie Cherish the character of lisa goudreau and there was a moment in a vip in new york city where a beautiful girl walks up to us she's like i'm from barcelona and i learned a lot of english like listening to you over the years and kelty walks over and i was like kelty she's from barcelona and she like listened to us while she was learning english and kelty goes ah she goes dude and then kelsey was like when she was talking to her she said you wouldn't understand and Kelty like says these phrases and we're like yeah you just asked her if she likes the color of your shirt I repeated everything back Kelty said in Spanish they don't know my friends don't
Starting point is 00:35:22 understand I said yes your friends do understand you're speaking like the most basic Spanish ever but the way that you said looked at her you know it's like you it's like when people talk to someone who is um english is their second language and then the english person or the the like english speaking person starts speaking to them in an accent yes that's exactly oh my god yes in my defense right after that two lady gangers came up to me and said oh my god we heard you speaking spanish that was really impressive were they were they white english speaking women? I think so. But either way, I'm trying. That's so impressive. Oh my God. People are just such fans. You're so impressive. Listen, I will give you this. I will give you this because
Starting point is 00:36:17 I'll give credit where credit is due. It is much easier, or at least in my experience, it's much easier for me to hear Spanish and understand it than actually put together a sentence. It's so hard. I know, but I'm just giving you a hard time. Muy difícil. Muy difícil hablar español. very difficult to speak oh my god dude that was something else it was so good if anybody just yo tengo mucho verbo
Starting point is 00:36:43 I have a lot of words yeah no it was impressive yeah it's just it was calm it was just so funny I got the zazz no it's the zazz sorry you're right I've got the zazz
Starting point is 00:36:59 you're listening to the lady gang um the last thing i just quickly wanted to say is that um in one week from this moment right now lady world is gonna go on sale and we just confirmed our last guest and it is so good you guys like i really you know, when you think like, okay, let's have this idea. And then it works out like even better than you could have imagined. I mean, we're exhausted. We're so tired. It's so much work in all of that. But like, I just, man, oh man, I just really excited about it. And so we've been putting out little hints and we put out a newsletter that had some more information, but basically I just want to quickly say that next week at this time, when you're listening
Starting point is 00:37:57 to the podcast, you're going to want to go on to ladyworld.co and you're going to sign up for your spot. You're going to sign up for your spot. And basically there's no money down at that moment. Okay. No money down, no money down. You just have to say, okay, I want two seats, one seat, four seats. I'm coming from here. Who's this is what I'm excited. I'm interested in accommodation, whatever it is. Then on November 1st, after we get everyone sort of like signed up on the list for pre-sale, the concierge, you'll get an email from Topeka, which is our partner, and they'll email you and say, okay, Becca, on Tuesday at 11 AM, you're going to get this code. That's when you go onto the website, there'll be a concierge text person there to like help you book your
Starting point is 00:38:41 stuff. So it's just the pre-sale that starts next week, but the pre-sale is the most important because you have to get in line. This is not a decision we made. This is how they work it so that they can give everyone help about picking out their seats and picking out their accommodations and their activities and things like that. So basically the closer you are to the top of the line, the more free stuff you get. The first 300 people that sign up, get to go to an exclusive welcome cocktail hour, just with us, like hang out with us, drink party for an hour. The first 2000 people that sign up, they get to go into the gifting suite that we're curating with Elf Beauty and it's insane. The first 2,500 people get a free thing that's going to be in
Starting point is 00:39:26 their cove. And Becca, would you like to explain what a cove is? Okay. So we kind of already talked about this on one of the podcasts, but if you've been to a concert or an amphitheater like the Hollywood Bowl or anywhere like that, they have those little like kind of boxes where it's like four seats in its lone special area. Essentially, that's how the whole audience is. It's these coves of anywhere from one to six people per cove. But it's just a roped off special area where in the middle of your cove, you have a cooler and you can get your snacks, your drinks, all that stuff. And then your cove, you can decorate, you can theme it out, you can do whatever. But it's like a way to differentiate you from the rest of the crowd if does that make sense I don't know so if
Starting point is 00:40:14 you're coming from Canada you could cover it in Canadian flags or if you're coming and it's just six of you and you all consider yourself razzle dazzle kelties you could cut out kelty heads and decorate your entire cove with just kelty heads or if you're emo you could make it sad and black like Jack's heart or whatever I think we're gonna like figure out how to have like little names for the cove. So you can each have like your own themed thing and you can make it whatever you want. And then you, it's like, everybody is a VIP. Everybody can sit, everybody can have their drinks and food and everything delivered to them. Like it's very, the way to do a festival as a millennial. Yeah. A hundred percent. So we're so excited. So if you want to get like email,
Starting point is 00:40:55 extra email blast, you can go to ladyworld.co now, but you must go in one week time, we in a week's time and we're going to be posting about it, but make sure you stay close to the algorithm bitches because the algorithm likes to hide things and we don't want you to miss out yeehaw baby i can't wait guys we're really gonna have the zazz we're having the zazz okay well we will see you next tuesday for lady world thank you so much for listening the lady gang is produced by steve delameter stacy para jared monaco and social support from amy ryerson It really means the world to us when you show up in our community outside the podcast.
