Starting point is 00:00:00 Mornings without coffee, road trips without snacks, movies without popcorn. Without our favorite foods, we'd miss out on all our favorite moments. Learn more at canadasfoodsystem.ca. Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Lady Gang. I am Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Oh my God, you guys. We made it. It's the end of the year, 2025. I love that we get to finish it off with Justin Sylvester, my buddy, to talk about celebs and just be really like your New year's resolutions, those don't start until tomorrow. So be the worst version of you for the next 24 hours. Exactly. And I want to start with my bad week. Can you lead me in? It's time for good week. Yes, it is bad week. Oh no. Okay. Um, I'm not saying that I have ever,
Starting point is 00:01:19 you know, been asked. Okay. But I'm just saying that I've been watching the real housewives of Beverly Hills. I'm, I'm kind of behind. I've watched like two or three episodes and you know what? Like my housewife dream, if there ever was one is dead because this Amanda woman, I could never compete. She's all the things I am. She is, you know, like wearing expensive clothes poorly. She is, you know, she has the it bag, but like, she doesn't carry it the same as Kyle Richards. You know what I mean? She's got a red Porsche. Like she is an outward activities. She's a course seller. That's how she made her million. She sells like a women's empowerment coach. People love her. A course seller? She sells courses. Sounds like a scammer.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Well, here's the thing. Amanda, maybe she'll come on the podcast. Maybe we'll love her by the end of this season. I will say right now what I have learned is that she was a evil genius, just like me. She wrote this book and then she put it on Amazon in a super obscure category, women and business. Do you know how many books are in that category? None. How many women business books are there? There's not that many. Like there's, it's truly like- Really? It feels very saturated. No, it's not. Girl boss? No, it's like, it really, when you look at the titles, because a lot of it goes in self-help. Oh, oh yeah. Or business in general.
Starting point is 00:02:49 not women and business and she got it to number one because you know that algorithm of amazon is like whatever's new so you could sell 400 copies of your book and be number one and then she reprinted it with number one amazon bestseller on the cover because she was the number one amazon bestseller in women in business not overall she's not beating well i hope you're taking some notes because i want you to execute this exactly the same i know i'm a idiot so then Then I'm on the internet And I was like who is this Amanda girl With this little you know with a happy marriage
Starting point is 00:03:26 I could have been that girl Then I see an article She was in a cult and she's been arrested I can't compete I cannot compete with a mugshot Okay like when they google me And they were like you used to date Ryan Ross From Panic at the Disco and that's the most sad
Starting point is 00:03:41 Ridiculous thing of you I can't compete with a mugshot Like Amanda I have no idea We haven't gotten that far amanda godspeed you know what casting directors i understand why you've never invited me i think you should have still invited me to dancing with the stars or the traitors i would be great i understand why the housewives are not knocking down my door when they could have amanda cult amazon crapshoot mugshot i get it yeah you know what i mean i'm sorry i can't compete she's got
Starting point is 00:04:12 layers. Oh, 100%. This is a good week. It's a little bit late. I'm super sorry. But my good week is that I received a Christmas present from Taylor Swift. I'm sorry that I didn't talk about it until now. I wanted to wait until TreePain replied to my email about it so that I could report back on my friendship with Tree Payne, Taylor's publicist. So Taylor sent me a snow globe, which she sent to everyone in her PR list. This is my second Taylor Swift snow globe. I got it. It was beautiful. And I did say thank you to Tree and she did respond. It took her like a little bit of time. So I feel like I'm low on the list. Wait, did she ever respond to you talking about how you're a show girl? Remember? Yeah, she did. Yeah, she did. That was like months ago.
Starting point is 00:05:02 months ago. Oh yeah. She loves me. And I couldn't shut the up. So I actually said, Hey, we need another, this is like lately I said, we need another Taylor Swift documentary. I would like a logistics documentary. I don't know if anyone's with me on this. I want a documentary. I don't know if you guys have watched theirs to a documentary. It's pretty, pretty great. And I need a documentary on the logistics. I want to know how the did they get the wings? Like how do those travel? She gets, there's a part of the documentary where she's like, gets in the car right after the show she's still in her costume some woman comes takes her boots sparkly boots off well whose job is it to put the slippers in the car so taylor can walk into the
Starting point is 00:05:41 hotel then they show her in the hotel running her bath she's still in her finale costume whose job is it to come get the costume wash it before the next show like i need a logistical spreadsheet excel and i said that to train tree because i'm a loser and she wrote back ha ha ha ha which means off Kelty. Stop emailing me. Anyway, I got to get that out of my system for the new year tree. I will not be emailing you in the new year. Send me whatever you want. I won't even say thank you. I'm not even thankful. Good night. Did you guys see the girl who does lip lip? She really reads lips and she like her, uh, guess at the bonus that Taylor gave everybody. I want to talk about this with Justin. Okay. Okay. It's fascinating. Okay. Go, go Jack. Um, my good week is short and simple.
Starting point is 00:06:26 um i ran into my mom at home goods and i just thought it was so cute because i literally see my parents all the time and i know where they are all of the time and jared and i were just randomly in home goods shopping and he's like there's your mom in line and i was like hi mom and it was like so cute and i'm like this is why i live here it was like a little moment that's cute it was really cute like oh we're both shopping for a little chachkis Judith and May, out. I can't believe you weren't together. I didn't even realize you guys could do things separately.
Starting point is 00:07:02 I know, it was pretty shocking. Last sassy May comment of the year. Or that you guys didn't discuss. Do you call your mom every single day and tell her what you're doing that day? She knows, generally, what I'm doing. Because she helps me out with things. Do you share a calendar?
Starting point is 00:07:19 No, but she knows. She's like my personal assistant light sometimes. Amazing. Um, anyways, my bad week is I had a nightmare that Mark McGrath was murdered. Now I don't usually talk about dreams, but this was so crazy because why am I dreaming about Mark McGrath? So random, but I had a dream that he was murdered. And then I was the last person that saw that was with him.
Starting point is 00:07:47 And then also the person that discovered his body. So I became a suspect in Mark McGrath's murder. This is a great book. I would, I would read this book. I would read this book. Murder in the fandom is what you're going to call it. It's I mean, I would read this book. It's kind of like Mark David Chapman murdering John Lennon, but it's like me murdering Mark McGrath. The number one super fan is the number one. Suspect. Not a witness. Suspect. Oh, isn't that usually the case? Yeah. I mean, Actually, you know what? Too close to home. Okay. Yeah. I mean it happens. Yeah. Okay. Um,
Starting point is 00:08:27 my good week is simple. Um, I've been on a really good like reading streak, so I'm so proud of you. Yeah. I, I fell off for a while because at the end of the day, I'm just so brain dead that watching trashy TV is really all that my brain wants and craves. However, you know, the Kindle brought me back as much as I try for the hard, like actual books that I love so much. The Kindle is the only way I'm doing it. I don't know why. Cause at night it's so much easier to turn off the TV, get in bed, have the Kindle, lay however I want to lay, be on my side, lights up. Like it's, it's like, it's just great. It's great. I'm back. She's back. Um, my, my, um, bad week is, well, it's kind of a, I kind of have a double good week because it's my favorite time of year
Starting point is 00:09:18 where Christmas is over. So can I have this? Yeah. Okay. So recently posted a few things. Happy holidays. Happy holidays. They're over. So I posted on Instagram, I'm getting inundated with elf content, elf on the shelf content. We've talked about this. It's everywhere. It's become just such an epidemic around here, my neighborhood, especially. So many elves, so many women talking about what they're doing with their elves. Like, I can't have another conversation about your mother elves. Okay. So I started to get anxious. We went to dinner with some friends and these two precious little boys, they have two elves at their house and this was before Christmas. And they looked at Ford and they go, Ford, what did your
Starting point is 00:09:59 elves do last night? Oh no. And Ford just kind of looked at them and blinked his eyes and thank God he's too young and maybe too dumb to really like, I just diverted the whole thing because I also didn't want to ruin it for the boys. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so then I went to Instagram and I captioned something with like, tell me your tricks on how I can continue to avoid doing the elf. Cause he's young now, but when he's in third grade and all of his friends are talking about their elf, like what the am I going to do? I'm not going to deprive my child. Like as much as I want to burst his bubble about the other Christmas thing. Um, in case there's little ears listening, I'm not going to because I am not a horrible mother and a horrible person, but the elf is where I draw the
Starting point is 00:10:41 line. Someone wrote something on my comments that is the best thing I've ever heard. If it works, stay tuned. She said she told her kids that elves only come to houses where kids need help behaving. Okay. Because the elf, the way that the whole narrative of the elf, he's Santa's narc. So if you say to your kid you're just such a good kid that like we don't need to have a narc in our house santa knows then they're gonna feel superior and that's all i want for my kid is to feel better than everyone else does the elf like bring gifts like does it do anything or it just watches you it does crazy things in the middle of the night it's in the toilet and it's like it doesn't bring you anything allegedly the elf comes and watches you all day spies on you and
Starting point is 00:11:35 then reports back to the North Pole, tells Santa if you were a good little boy or a bad little boy, and then comes back and does something crazy in your house. The logic, I don't understand. It's so strange. But it's getting – it's out of hand. That's a good idea though. Yeah, right? That was a good recommendation.
Starting point is 00:11:52 I really appreciated that recommendation. So thank you. Try it out next year. Stay tuned. What's the other good week? That I was reading. That I'm reading. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Sorry. Okay, amazing. When we come back, Justin, iconic Sylvester is here, and we are talking about all of the pop culture stories. BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. now back to the lady gang justin sylvester has joined us justin sylvester the better half of justin and kelty take award season is here to celebrate the year in pop culture now the most important thing that happened this year in pop culture is that justin launched i think the most iconic podcast of the year yesterday's justin tell us about yesterday's what you guys do it
Starting point is 00:13:55 has morphed the original idea was something now it's morphed and you guys are going viral every time i watch a video i'm like oh this has so much more popular than lady gang first of all yesterday's i call it my cardio because my podcast host has a tongue on him and i don't know what the he's gonna say so i'm normally sitting there my bpms my heart rate is at like 120 bitch like i'm running a marathon with this man um but yesterday's was supposed to be a podcast where we look at the past and talk about how the early 2000s and 2010s were really that girl they were that bitch um and we still do that but now we talk about more current things and the podcast has kind of turned into daily pop for me a little bit
Starting point is 00:14:48 It's going back to that early daytime, let's talk about it, let's get into it. And I'm pretty impressed with myself. I listen to my podcast. I never listen to myself. But my podcast, I listen and laugh. Good for you. It's so good. Yeah, it's great.
Starting point is 00:15:07 That's when you know it's good. It really is great. You can listen. No, it's great. Yesterday's. And what I like about it is you guys stay on the topic. Like you say something and then you do your bit on it and then you move on. There's not a lot of like loose – I think that's why your BPM is so high, Justin.
Starting point is 00:15:26 There's not a lot of like loose ends where you're like, oh, this got a little boring. It's like it's literally hitting you over the head with funny, thoughtful, ridiculous – it's great. So yestergays, Lady Gang, if you're looking for something to listen to – what day is your day today? One Tuesdays. No. Lady Gang is – okay. So after you listen to Lady Gang, you can listen to Yestergaze. You know what we should do?
Starting point is 00:15:51 We should just start dropping them as a tangent feed. We should. I love that. Boom, boom, boom. We totally should. It would be great. You don't have to answer it, but I always giggle because, you know, we had our show, Lady Gang on E, around the same time that Daily Pop was around.
Starting point is 00:16:08 I mean, you guys outlasted us way beyond. but um are you making more money on your podcast version of daily pop than you ever did on the tv show i wish i will you will i hope you will i really i really do i hope they really figure this out you know i feel like we're in a sweet spot and the only thing is if you listen to the podcast you'll get this my podcast co-host hates everybody like he hates every not like body um i feel broke because we he hates amazon he hates target he hates walmart he hates this he hates that i'm like you have to choose brands he hates brands i'm like you have to choose so he hates he hates money he needs to just keep the hate towards the celebrities and then the love the
Starting point is 00:17:03 brands here's how you accept dirty money here's how you accept dirty money i do it all the time you take that money because here's the thing why do we want money going in the hands of the wrong people it's a vicious cycle if you don't start taking that dirty money then you can't start building your own wealth to then do good things with your own wealth and then you can take your own wealth and then you can make your donations to the places that you truly believe in by sitting back and not collecting the dirty money that's going to go to somebody anyway you're not helping anybody you're just broke i agree thank you i'm i'm into dirty money yeah i love dirty money it's all the dirtiest money you can buy it's all dirty i know every time i'm like justin you know
Starting point is 00:17:44 what would be like such a great brand for you to partner with i'll see a video of blakely being like and then coca-cola and i'm like damn no justin needs to pay his mortgage okay um all right I'm taking you all back to January, and I'm giving you Justin's choice. Here are the three things we would like to remember from January. Meghan Markle has a new show. Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster did what we thought they were doing the whole time, announced that they're together. And Heidi Montag has a number one pop hit. Bitch.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Man, January was wild. And the fires. and Jessica Simpson got divorced and it was the start of Blake and Blake and Justin. Justin Baldoni. Jesus. That was going around a little bit. And TikTok went dark for 14 hours. Remember when TikTok
Starting point is 00:18:38 went away? That was the best day ever. Oh my god. It was the best day ever. They changed everything. What was the first one you said? Megan getting her own show. Yes. Which I think honestly, it should have been specials. It should have been specials
Starting point is 00:18:54 from day one. I don't need a full eight episode Megan what I need is two hours of Mindy Kaling coming in your favorite chef coming in seeing the back of those kids heads going to the chicken coop you know sell me a bottle of wine and I'm done the last thing I need is a reminder for eight hours that you're boring and don't know who you are I'm sorry amen I'm sorry but I still watch it she should have done holiday specials like I want to sit here and put it on the background the Meghan Markle holiday special and then i would take a halloween special i would take a summer solace special i like that wait this is actually you're you're like really making a lot of sense because if she wants to
Starting point is 00:19:38 not have to be her true self on tv that is the way to do it a special i mean i i'm not saying this is what like people like julia and huff are doing because i know she has a sparkly wonderful personality but like when she does specials you're just kind of like oh a pretty girl in a pretty dress with like a good smile like we don't get in her kitchen and talk to her with her fake best friends like not that she has them but you're right it's we don't need to know the ins and outs of you if you are doing a special we want to know how you make christmas special yeah you're just like a talking head yeah and if you want to be elusive if you want to be like beyonce like the special is the way to go but the problem is people see money especially celebrities they see dollar
Starting point is 00:20:22 signs and they're like you know what we're just gonna do this because the money is right but sometimes playing the long game is the way to actually go like i think megan markle is never playing the long game like i wouldn't have never given oprah the interview until after harry's book came out because if harry's book came out first and he wore his family the out in that book okay And once you wear your family out, then I can wear your family out. It would have gave her a lot more credibility if he had said it first. But us desperate actresses are not good at the long game. Desperate actresses are not good at the long game because everybody screams at you that you got to strike while the iron's hot.
Starting point is 00:21:07 So she was in suits Megan mode. She should have been in the Duchess Megan mode and said, hold on, Oprah. Hold on. I'll call you when I'm ready. Amen. Okay. You're right. You're right.
Starting point is 00:21:17 That's a good point. Speaking of Beyonce, Cowboy – okay, we're moving on to February. Cowboy Carter finally won Album of the Year. So good. It was so good. SNL turned 50. Okay. My favorite artist, Cam, did win a Grammy for Cowboy Carter.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Just wanted you guys to know every time you make fun of me for her being my favorite artist. So just shout out. And we had the Kendrick Super Bowl and the Eagles won the Super Bowl over the Chiefs. And we had Kendrick. Kendrick single-handedly brought us the bootcut jean back. Yeah. It's like January gave us so much that February was like, we're just going to give you the Super Bowl and Beyonce.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Well, all you needed was Kendrick Lamar in February. That was enough to fulfill it all. Right. Oh, my God. Poor Drake. By the way, I felt so terrible for Drake watching America slay his ass on the most watched. like imagine if your worst enemy went on the biggest show in america and called you a pedophile like that is the craziest thing okay and everyone was singing along to it like what did drake ever
Starting point is 00:22:28 do to us but give us bops and hops like what what are we doing i mean with the little smirk and his little bell bottoms i mean there was nothing better than that tiny oh this tiny little man was just like a napoleon like he was just like and i shall take you down and then there's serena being like they not like us they not like us he got the ex-girlfriend he got the ex-girl imagine them bringing your ex-boyfriend onto the show to crip walk on your grave it was crazy who's pettier 50 cent or kendrick lamar oh i think 50 well 50 because it's been going on for longer yeah that's like 30 years long game he played the long game he's playing the long game he could have released those videos as little snippets he could have
Starting point is 00:23:23 you know done more on the i mean he did a lot of trolling on the internet but he was just like let me wait until it's the holiday season and people are binging their home they're ready they're over it you know what i mean like the thanksgiving movies have happened and let me just drop this you know well crafted it knocks stranger things off the top 10 stranger things was like number four it was like all Diddy and and he says he has like 150 more hours of the private Diddy videos and he's releasing shit on YouTube I just cannot wait because Netflix because there's so many things they didn't get into like it didn't even touch and then he's like I'm doing this I'm releasing all the other shit on YouTube so that's what I'm excited about wow it's just like I'm I'm
Starting point is 00:24:14 so in like let us take this energy into 2026 i don't be a bigger hater megan markel like it's too pretty like going back to megan it's like we don't want to be good what are we drawn to petty revenge yes also look at sabrina carpenter we talked about this a little bit ago on lady gang she came on lady gang tv when she was still trying to be like the media trained princess that didn't do anything wrong and that parents still approved of that bitch blew up as soon as she started doing sex positions on stage yeah yep it's by the way it's so true it's it's the reason i'm laughing at sydney sweeney right now well not sydney sweeney herself but her team because they haven't figured that part out but i think sometimes that old guard of publicists
Starting point is 00:25:06 and agents safeguard those A-list celebrities. And they do it in the wrong way because they are not young enough to know what gets you in and out of a, you know, scandal. Like back in the day before Instagram and before TikTok were a thing, you were a celebrity, you did something wrong. We found out that you had a secret baby with somebody else. You didn't say shit for eight months. People forgot about it. You paid the lady off. She said it wasn't your kid and you just kept going that's how you got out of scandal back in the cut but now that things are so immediate when you're stuck in the i say when you're stuck in the dryer i always say it's like a cat in the dryer once you figure out you're in your dryer you have to get the out of it eight sat rocky
Starting point is 00:25:50 the old school way of staying in something and hoping it's going to go away that ain't happening babe we have throwback thursdays we have way back wednesdays we got hashtags people are good it's gonna live forever so get ahead of it yeah i think with sydney sweeney a big problem is she has no sense of humor and like no self-deprecation i think if there is like a way for her to like poke fun at herself a little bit people would like her a little bit more but like it's too serious this is the actress thing though it's like it's like the best thing leah michelle ever did was that like whole thing about her being like when she leaned into that she couldn't read like all that I can't read jokes yeah that's when I was like oh yeah Leah like you're so funny you know
Starting point is 00:26:34 what I mean but trying I'm sorry I know she's your friend Becca but like but I'm giving her compliments so it's fine like I think it was so funny like when she when her and Jonathan leaned into it you're like oh my god you get it like you're reading the comments and you understand that we think you're ridiculous yeah you need to be in on the joke so then you gotta be on the joke Lee Michelle is one of the most talented people in the world. She's also very nice. I have had the best interactions with her. I've had the loveliest times. She invited me to her shows. We have like, I love her. But again, that old school Hollywood way, I wish she would have shown people the real side of her earlier on because I feel like this whole thing would have
Starting point is 00:27:18 never happen it wasted so much time for us and her like but i get it she was with the old guard with the ten thousand dollar a month publicist and the big agents who were like don't say anything and it's like god damn it i wish a black gay could get in there and be like you know what bitch you should say this right no you're absolutely right and i think it's like we are as a society like when glee for instance premiered this was when fox was very on you about your p's and q's they don't want any controversy because they've spent millions and millions and millions of dollars to make this show popular and back then the wrong controversy could really ruin a project now the more controversy the better because people just want to go and they want to check out the
Starting point is 00:28:06 thing that the person that's so ridiculous or so crazy or so whatever so it's like the old school hollywood needs to catch up to the fact like sydney sweeney it would be so much easier for her if she could just be messy because people really like messy and i think she probably is well it's like that's why like shit with people love messy well like with reality back in the day on the bachelor like you weren't allowed to post at all until the season was over and now you watch shit with like mormon wise where they're literally having way more drama on the internet while it's airing you're like holy shit what's going on it's like that's like feeding the beast and that's what makes reality now so interesting because people are just like going after each other in real time
Starting point is 00:28:50 and you're like i'm living the soap opera while in real time yeah it's amazing oh it's wwe it's wwe with heels like that's what it is exactly it it's everybody has a fighter every person has a you know a thing like I was re-watching season one of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills the other day and it's so funny what people thought was so outrageous back then like I remember people making t-shirts and saying you're such a liar Camille like in public when I would walk out in public people thought that was like such a big deal that Kyle called Camille a liar like can you imagine that that was the threshold back in the cut they're like now people are going to jail now people are like calling people cunts on a daily basis like it's so crazy it really that's
Starting point is 00:29:44 like really what housewives is is like the wwe i was actually just thinking about this i'm reading a book weirdly about the wwe like it has like sprinklings and i was like wait this is what real housewives is like they are in they are playing themselves as like an elevated version of themselves and the drama that they're focusing on is like part of the storyline that they would never be dealing with had the cameras not been rolling like we are essentially wwe nerds oh my god we are yeah you are um okay in march i have to tell you it was very hard for me at the oscars when demi moore had the oscar upset because we thought she was going to win that oscar it was the perfect storyline it was like oh my god all these years after and she'd won a bunch leading
Starting point is 00:30:32 up to it she had the perfect dress to win an oscar and then she lost who won girl who like made her first movie which is fine and she was amazing too which was a great movie but i was sad i still haven't gotten over it but they do that they like an ingenue they love to set people up for failure um and honestly looking at Demi Moore's face because she really thought it was hers everyone had told her that it was hers I had told Brad Goreski this is it make sure you pick the right dress like this is crazy yeah and I forgot that the Oscars like a movie that makes two dollars and 75 cents at the box office starring someone that is 24 years old you've never heard of and i the one tweak that the substance could have made that would have made it
Starting point is 00:31:29 the it would have swept everything had they make her instead of making her character a fitness instructor they could have made her an aging porn star because hollywood loves sex workers they love her aging porn stars and porn she would have won it yeah you're right damn because what trumps of a stripper is an aging porn star okay boom boom wait was the other movie about a stripper she was a yes didn't she just yeah she was a stripper and then she started having sex with this guy for money so she was also a sex worker yeah you're right justin this is why justin is so important to my life not only as a friend but as an advisor because he like if you guys think i would be a great success coach justin knows what the f**k's up like there's a
Starting point is 00:32:22 reason why kyle richards is the longest running housewife because justin's picking the reunion look justin is deciding what birkin we're taking to the store to fake shop justin is you know advising i'm doing it lady sitting the ladies i'm doing it all you're listening to the lady gang okay in april the greatest thing in pop culture ever happened we went to space oh my god did we i loved it we went to space i i'm gonna say something that no one's gonna enjoy i thought katie perry and the little daisy was quite lovely because you would do that you would totally do that like i thought it was your daughter's name daisy she was like making a moment for daisy like i think i mean i can't imagine going all the way up to space and
Starting point is 00:33:18 being like let me look let me give the people some footage instead of looking out the window at earth you know what i mean like i would have been camera and she also was putting on her tour dates she like opened up that butterfly and it had her tour dates on it by the way she is like let's do it yeah and like honestly jack if we had a planned trip to space and then we also were launching merch the next week don't you think we'd be wearing that merch i don't mind the merch i don't know i like the outfit shouting out the dates like she's taking advantage of a moment like she's like well i mean i'm going to space what can i announce it's like no i mean i get it is exactly what kelty would have done so a million percent by the way my favorite part of
Starting point is 00:34:07 there's a few favorite parts i have of this one gail ringing that bell like she was on her third shift at costco and she had four kids at home and she was like like what the and oprah on the sideline being like i told you bitch i told you not to go like i told you but gail had signed up gail had been in all the press gail had took the photos for vogue gail couldn't back out at that moment that was my first favorite she wanted to she really wanted to she really wanted to my second favorite moment of that whole situation was knowing that when they landed katie perry was gonna take all the heat i know i knew she was now i mean go back to what she did my favorite part is when they well there i have now two favorite parts one was when jeff bezos
Starting point is 00:35:05 went to open the door and it flung open like it was made out of cardboard i'm still not convinced they ever went up into space but that's fine that's for a different podcast of mine my other favorite part is how they all kissed the ground like they were one coming back from war or two they were coming back from a trip to mars that took like 10 years like they were up in space for three minutes i mean i gotta be honest though in in the kissing the ground defense i rode a roller coaster with justin in 2025 and i kissed the ground after i got off it because i didn't think i was gonna make it and since then two people have died on that roller coaster so i was not wrong sometimes you know it is dark but sometimes this is also a hot take
Starting point is 00:35:50 everyone's hating on that ride to space i would have went if lauren sanchez had called me to go on that once in a lifetime ride with gail king katie perry and herself i would have totally went i would have probably wanted to control the messaging like let's not tell people we have fake eyelashes on but we'll put them on but let's not tell people that pat mcgrath is in the bag beating my mother face to death before i go on this goddamn trip we ain't got to tell people that we could just say that it's a big step for women and gays um but i would have went and i totally would have married jeff bezos too i mean yeah gotta get that money well i feel like if a bunch of dudes had done that like we would have made a less big deal about it and that bums me
Starting point is 00:36:40 out like as a female i am sad that and i'm part of the problem but if like you know elon had gone up there with some other losers we would have been like oh shocking great cool and then they come back and we don't talk about it again but it's like we are hard on women we're hard no but the problem is it was like there were no there were women there there was like an app they're not an astronaut there's like a scientist and some other normal person that went up there that had a little bit more reasoning to the problem was it's like they the pr of it described it as they were like astronauts doing this like right amazing thing when it really was like a space tourism thing like they're just being tourists and they're they're doing these like press
Starting point is 00:37:28 conferences where they're like they're walking in like they're real like they're on apollo 11 and it's Ben Affleck and he's like, don't want to fall asleep. Exactly. And it's like, dude, this is embarrassing. The way that we're doing it is very embarrassing. Like, just say that you're a tourist, like you're going on the submarine. That's all we need to be doing here.
Starting point is 00:37:47 It was a flop. Yeah, the PR was wrong. It's the PR. It was the PR. It's always the PR. Nobody asked. Just say you're going for a ride. Because that's what you did. You went for a ride. Hey, I'm one of the richest people in the world and I'm going to go up to space today with my friends.
Starting point is 00:38:03 I'm going to do a little ride. And we're going to like help space exploration by also wearing like custom designed, whoever the made it, jumpsuits. Because we don't want to wear a regular jumpsuit. I would love that. I would love the outfit. I would love the trip. I would say, but I'm not calling it. I'm not calling myself a scientist astronaut.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Like I'd be like, I'm going to have a fun time. Right. Okay. In May, we're moving on to May. may was a big month the beckhams brooklyn did not go to david beckham's 50th timothy and kylie made their red carpet debut taylor swift buys back her masters prince harry loses the court battle over the security and the ditty trial begins wow jam-packed month was was this the same time that Kylie Jenner went to
Starting point is 00:38:58 an award show with Timothee Chalamet. No, because that happened at the Golden Globes. Oh, and they were gossiping. That was in January. They never made a red card. Yeah, remember in the Lip Reader? Who were they gossiping about? They were gossiping about Kylie.
Starting point is 00:39:13 We gotta be careful about the Lip Readers. The Lip Readers. They are all- By the way, that bitch won 2025. That woman won 2025. Whoever she is jackie jackie that bitch with the with the cute curly hair who's reading everybody for phil who's like calling every bitch out jackie one 2025 my problem is what if she's here what if she's she's not wrong no because she like goes on to explain it of why like she's a genius because
Starting point is 00:39:46 then you watch the mouth reading and you're like of course that's what they're saying yeah i know But it's kind of one of those things you can fill in the blanks. Like you can kind of like make, I'm not saying she is, but what, like, what if she did get something wrong? And it's like this damning thing. Babe, we've been drinking Diet Coke for years thinking it was healthy. Like we're done. Like, like you bought drugs from a random woman at Coachella.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Like everybody, everything is wrong. Okay. Becca, I want to talk about that next episode. Okay. Um, okay. But Kylie and Timothy made their red carpet debut. I think this is the strangest coupling in Hollywood, and I love it, but I'm confused by it. But, like, I love it, but I'm confused by it.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Yeah, I feel the same. I understand it. I'm not. Same. Same. I get it. I understand it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Have you seen Marty Supreme? No. Is it great? It's great. I get it. i get it also when you go uh travis scott and you're dating rappers and taiga and it doesn't work out for you and you're a mom and you have two kids and all of your sisters had so much trouble dating one kind of guy you always go the opposite way so she was like i'm going to the theater nerd
Starting point is 00:41:09 because the rapper has done me nothing but give me grief terrible lip fillers i'm gonna go be with white man right now a little twerpy white dude literally kim did it and she was happy as can be it's true and this is why i think that taylor and travis are not end game because i hate to say this but you know i hope they are this is not me wishing anything negative upon them but if you are a girl who dates an artist at any point in your life it's kind of like you Kelty, where you talk about having sex with a dancer, you can never know you, you will always know what it's like to have had sex with a dancer. So wonderful. Once you've dated like an artsy fartsy sensitive guy, you know, and that's Taylor's, her whole jam is she's a lyricist. She's
Starting point is 00:42:01 a genius. She's, she writes in a journal, like she's very feeling right. She got a little burnt out from that type of dude, but intellectually and soul and a soul level, there's a connection that she has with an artist that she will not get with a football player yeah they won't hold each other and cry but hold a minute hold a minute i'm gonna i i agree i agree in normal cases however i could name the first person that turned me out you know what turn me out means yes that gave me that one like i had a sexual experience with that blew my mind so hard that I still think about it once a month. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:42:43 Like when you're making coffee and all of a sudden it just crosses your mind and you're like, ooh, I wonder what David's doing. You know what I mean? Yeah. I think Taylor Swift, for the first time in her life, dated a man that was taller than her. Because keep in mind, baby girl is 5'10". You know, baby girl is 5'10".
Starting point is 00:43:00 Baby girl's got her own money. Baby girl's, you know, at the top of her class. She has been dating these artsy fartsy dudes. Mine is John Mayer because I think John Mayer may have known what he was doing. He knows his way around a clitoris. He knows his way around. She's never dated another guy at the top of his game in a different category ever in her life. So to be with Travis, who is like the darling of the NFL, has his own cash, is the best at what he does, and also is committed to his craft as much as she is.
Starting point is 00:43:34 i think she's like holy shit i finally met my match and finally met somebody who can tell me hey i think your mom's been here for like too many days can you have her leave and she would say you know what i think you're right i think oh no my bad hey mom hey mom can you just give us some privacy she wouldn't say that to joel all one she'd be like what the this is my three homes like shut the up it's my mom right she can't say wait i i have a point to make did you see the interview that he did that he said that they have never argued once and i believe him and let me tell you why but that means something but that you they said that they have never been in one argument when you said that and they had when you're in a relationship like that
Starting point is 00:44:20 a long distance relationship keep in mind he was in season she was on the era store when you're in a long distance relationship like that and you don't see each other very often are like you're not on top of each other all day every day the only thing you can fight about is when you're going to see each other next but homegirl's got four jets so he was flying to australia for two days to go hang out at the zoo and say hello and come back home so for a year and a half they were in a nice long distance relationship then she gets back and he's in season so again you don't can't argue about shit because when your man's in season you got to hold everything on the inside. Then she
Starting point is 00:45:01 got engaged. She's been wedding planning the whole time and dealing with the Blake Lyley of it all. They're not arguing about shit. Guess who else is not arguing? There's too much going on. Oprah and Stedman. They're not fucking arguing. They got too much money. There's nothing to fight about. Yeah, but you know what? Oprah's not...
Starting point is 00:45:17 I mean, listen. She once was a young girl with a moist vagina, but Taylor is still young and if there's not a lot of fighting there's not a lot of passion. Okay. He is, and I, I, my husband is six, three. He's one of the taller men that I've ever been with. And I do remember the first year and a half, it was like
Starting point is 00:45:41 climbing a tree and it was like, he could do no wrong. I was like, this is a man, this is a cave man. He's coming for me. And I can, I have finally become, I'm in my femininity. I'm in my feminine power, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm not saying that he's any worse or any better now, but everyone gets used to what they have and she's going to realize that he's this he's like six four six five whatever she's going to get done climbing him like a tree and she's going to realize he's never going to write her a poem he's never going to stroke her hair and tell her she's beautiful and he is now but it's going to be it's going to be hard for them he's not going to watch movies and you know I can't see him being artistic enough for her I I pick up what you're putting
Starting point is 00:46:25 down. You know what I mean? And I also don't think he's, I think he's a kind person. This is me making total assumptions. I think he's kind. I think he's fun. I think he's hot. I don't think he's like the most intellectually stimulating person on planet earth. I think it's really hard for an athlete to be anything other than an athlete. We've seen it. There's like four on TV still doing commentating and it's just going to be tough. It's going to be, does he journal? I doubt it no i don't think he journals the only tough part i agree with you but i think the tough part for them and i'm sorry to every swifty out there and i'm so sorry travis kelsey and his fans i think when the road stops for him in the nfl yes it's going to be that tom brady thing where
Starting point is 00:47:13 tom brady was like listen giselle i know i've been having you go to new england and miami and blah, blah, blah in Tampa Bay, but I'm going to retire and you're going to have my full attention. And then what happens to athletes is they've been doing the same thing since they were five years old. So when you hit 35 and you decide to retire, you lose your sense of self. And all of a sudden you don't know who the you are. And you're like, holy shit, what am I going to do with myself? And you go searching for it. That's why Tom Brady, who had all the money in the world and all the championships in the world went back to football after he had promised his wife that he was going to take a moment off, but couldn't do it for five seconds because they
Starting point is 00:47:57 lose their identities. He is going to have a rough time at that. If they can weather that storm, they can weather anything. Well, they say that athletes die twice. They die when they retire from the sport and then they die when everybody else dies, when their body gives out. So they're gonna have to deal with some grief well it is one of those things too where it's just like if your lives are so exciting and there's always something to do and there's always like the next thing that's going on it's like when the quiet moments actually hit and you're just like faced with who you are i feel like with covid that like made everybody face that in a sense no matter who you were but it's like when there's nothing when you're just you without all the glitter and
Starting point is 00:48:40 sparkles and whatever then it's like then who are you together they might not ever have to deal with that i mean probably a little bit when you talking about when he retires but it's like that's a good point too because living a fake life she seems like she's ready to go back into the covid energy of her life but he is with her because he's like we're about to shine baby shine so worried well a girl always wants to stay a girl always wants to maintain where she meets a man so when she met joe allwin she was in a cubbyhole she loved to be in that cubbyhole but if you're in a versace catsuit every night when you meet your man that's exactly where you're gonna stay she's gonna be sparkling for the next 45 years and you know what he's gonna be mr dad at the
Starting point is 00:49:31 concerts with the baby on the, on the, you know, on the neck like this, you know, that's what he's going to do. I hope so. I'm worried that he learned choreography to carry her out on stage during her concert. Worried, bright flag. And I'm really, I love that. I'm worried about all the time. Listen, I'm worried about his mom. Just one more thing. I'm worried about his mom's, her new traders teaser. I'm worried. I'm worried. Google it.
Starting point is 00:49:56 She is. I am. I am worried. Tay Tay. It's not done yet. You didn't get married. Take a good look at this woman. You look in her eyes. You look in her eyes and you will, you got to see her soul. You have to see it. And I saw it and I don't like what I saw. Oh, I need to watch it.
