Wow. What is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang.
Things are about to change around here. Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest
girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek.
Ho, ho, ho.
Yes.
Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the Lady Gang. I am Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and
healthy night. Happy holidays, bitches. Happy holidays. Holidays. Holidays. Hope everybody
got their homants and their ho-ho homants. I got a butt squeegee. What? You know, when Becca and I
went to WeCare and I loved my colonics so much. Yep. Well, last night there was this fucking
insane Facebook post in the group about butt stuff. Oh yeah. Yeah. I saw it was endless,
like how to do it, whatever. Like if girls like it, whatever. Anyway, I'm pretty sure my parents
are listening to the podcast at this point. So I'm going to just be brief, but I bought like a
butt squeegee where you put the water up and you clean out your butt in case you want to try it.
Oh, that's not exactly a squeegee. A douche. Yeah. A squeegee. I was thinking like, you know,
you squeegee your windows i didn't know what to call it but not a squeegee but a butt a butt bulb
a butt bulb a butt douche i'm gonna gonna blanket over my head because it's super echoey right
yeah it's a little yeah okay one second it's on set you know what i mean hard times well we also
uh thought that we had this episode recorded and we didn't because that's how our 2020
is going like 2020 becca's under hold on i got okay i'm gonna need to take a picture of this
Is this better?
This is better, right?
It is.
I mean, listen, you don't sound great, but we're just going to roll with it.
Still?
I don't know what's going on.
It's fine.
It's Christmas.
Wait.
Let me workshop this.
Maybe you're talking to the wrong side of the mic.
Yeah, I think I am.
Oh, yeah.
Is that better?
Yes.
You're talking to the back of the mic.
Okay, so I should start over the whole episode?
No, this is so great.
This is 2020 in a nutshell.
So I remember there were like, uh, at least like six months that I was talking into the
wrong side of the microphone back in the day.
So this is not any different than it usually is.
You guys amazing.
We've been doing this for five years and we're like, no, we just had a five-year birthday
like two weeks ago.
It was December 8th is our birth.
Oh, December 8th is our birthday.
We just had it.
Oh my God.
Happy birthday.
us happy birthday to us that's behind you we're kids jesus what's that for uh you're echoing oh
i was echoing god i love him he's such a hero thank you zach for saying they're calling you
an asshole just kidding they called you a hero but you can't hear them i'll sign language it to
Ahem. H-E-R-O. I did that with my left hand. Okay. It's time for good week. Yes, it is.
Bad week. Oh no. I'm ready. Okay. Well, I'll go. Okay. My good week is that Zach and I have
started rituals while we're here in Canada, because I gotta be honest, it's been tricky
because it's very rainy here, like I've talked about, and COVID's happening. So it's hard to
find things to do that are COVID friendly and blah, blah, blah. So we have a Saturday morning
ritual. And excuse me, we go to Stanley Park every Saturday and we go early enough so that
we can have Orly off leash, even though she's not supposed to be. But it's like wilderness
and gorgeous. It's crazy, crazy beautiful. So we did that the past two Saturdays and it's really
changes the mood. You know, I saw Zach's pictures from your little hike and they did look quite
beautiful. Yes. It's very exciting. My bad week is, can I just, before you go to bad week, I do
want to say, I think that as a couple, you and Zach's sex appeal does grow as you layer up.
so i do think vancouver has actually been very sexual for you like i'm watching you
because you've got like a turtleneck and a beanie and your little hairs are sticking out and you've
got your little glasses your coffee and then zach's got like multiple layers on i just like
love layers it's because i think it's more of their natural vibe you know you know you
as someone who covers an elbow and a knee like i feel like you are you are and i just love a man
in layers. Like I'm like, Chris, can you put a coat on? He's like, it's 85. And I'm like,
a wool flannel. Really? Put a shacket on. No, I, men look so good when they're layered up like
that. It's very like lumberjacky. Oh my God. What? Recording. I am.
Dude, this episode is a disaster. Okay. This is what happens when we don't have Alex.
I know. Okay. Go ahead. Okay. Um, my bad week is with all of the,
this is going to sound like an idiot American once again, because I was complaining about like
recycling last time and now blah, blah, blah. Well, so in Vancouver, the numbers for COVID
haven't been that crazy because Canada's got their shit together. However, because there
haven't been really bad cases of COVID, people are not as afraid of it here. So they're very
relaxed. Relaxed. They're lax. And there's a gym in our building and we recently got emailed
this new mandatory masks in all common areas, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, like very,
very strict rules. And I go down to the gym and no one's in a mask, like no one. And it's not
that packed. It's a small gym. So there's like three people, but nobody's in a mask and I'm
wearing my mask and I'm like running on the treadmill thinking if I can run in a mask,
then certainly that like middle-aged man lifting like 10 pound dumbbells doing curls can also be
in a mask doing. Yeah. So I was very, whatever the, it was a really Karen move of me, but it's
not really a Karen move. Cause like, I don't think this is the Karen thing. No, Karen's don't wear
masks. So I need a name for the person who's the anti-Karen, but also has the same Karen energy
because I left the gym and emailed the building manager and was really annoying. No, you know
what it is? It's like, there needs to be a name for like a liberal Karen. Cause that's like,
that's what we're looking at right now. What is the name? What is her name? Is it like autumn
is autumn like like the person autumn's like how dare you buy a juice in a plastic bottle
yes we're gonna it's like a plastic straw shaming yes what is that name she's fixing the world but
she's doing it in a fucked up way it's really it's really embarrassing and also i'm playing
a lawyer on tv so i think it's kind of getting into my body because i actually it is i cited like
I cited the, the like government website saying technically it's not a gym because you're not
making a profit out of this gym. Like it's more a common area of a building. Cause there was some
gray area with the gym. Um, so call me autumn and slap me sideways. Cause I'm a loser, but guess
what? There's signs everywhere down there because I complained. Good. Somebody has got to, or else
people are going to keep doing whatever the hell they're doing. It's upsetting. Becca,
how is lawyering going? Like, are you a great lawyer? Also, I am very offended that I have
not ran lines with you yet. Oh, it's coming. I actually have a really big day tomorrow with
a lot of jargon and I may need your help. Well, I will. Being a lawyer on TV is what I was made
for because I'm third generation attorney family, my grandfather, my parents, my sister,
not I, but I play one on TV. It's so easy because I'm wearing like power suits, which my mom wore
every day going to work. And my sister wears currently, and I'm talking like a lawyer,
which I think I did already. Cause I was raised by them. So like, it's not that hard for me.
I'm sure I'll still suck, but I'm, it's not that hard. No, this is your place in the world.
It might be. You found it. It was meant to be. It's like when actors play the same,
like Jennifer Aniston essentially is the same character in every movie. It doesn't matter who
her character is. She's just Jennifer Aniston, you know, and she's had great success. So Godspeed
to you. Here I come. Here I come. I object. Yeah. Have you had to say that yet? No, tomorrow I do
have to do like an opening statement to the jury. Oh yeah. Wait, can I ask what kind of lawyer you
I am the assistant US attorney. Yeah. Big job, girl. Our girl. We're so proud.
Thank you so much. Do you have a name?
In the show? Yeah.
I mean, I would hope so. I just moved to Canada for six months.
I know, but I don't know. I know your lawyer number five.
Her name. Could you imagine if you guys start, you watch this next year and I'm like background
an extra yeah um you're not going to be and also i have just made plans to watch your christmas
movie a song for christmas oh sweet jesus oh my god um okay my name is brook in the show
oh you seem like a brook that does seem like a ruck you up okay i'm gonna go wait can i tell
you why i'm watching a christmas movie oh my gosh because it's christmas time no also but i i i kind
of only watched like your movies you know i wasn't like a christmas movie person but then i watched
the mariah carey christmas special it was so jolly and i felt so happy in my soul and i was like
every night from now that was the 6th of december no it's the 5th of december until christmas i'm
watching holiday programming every night i'm saving you for christmas day do oh my god do we
need to talk about the um kfc christmas movie has anybody watched it is it i didn't watch it
but i need to i think it's like a murder mystery too it's so weird that mario lopez for those that
don't know lifetime is making a movie about colonel sanders and mario lopez is playing him
it is it's like a sexy sanders but is it a christmas yes or is it a commercial it's a movie
i actually don't know do you think it's a trailer do you think it's a trailer let me look
no i think it's a marketing ploy i don't think this is a real movie a marketing ploy for there
was there was a c no kfc is sponsoring it they like paid for the production or something i know
that's why i think it's a movie trailer but it's not a real has anyone seen 90 minutes of this
footage have we just seen a trailer listen listen it's coming it premieres december 13th it'll
already have premiered by the time this airs mario lopez as colonel sanders in a new mini
movie sponsored by any movie what's a mini movie like six minutes babe six minutes is that i need
to watch extended commercial how do you know by the time this airs we have we'll have all watched
it and we can all discuss on the facebook group what is it it's just like a sponsored content
that they're like really pushing out there also mario lopez probably made so much money because
I know one time he got paid $50,000 to show up to an old Navy slide and slide down a slide.
I know that for a fact, it's not even allegedly, I know the payday was 50 grand to bring your
children and slide down a slide. I remember that event. Was it in town square? Um, this particular
slide was in Los Angeles, but I think it was a tour. Oh my God. That is the life. I mean,
so he must have made at least so much money five buckets okay i'm gonna go all right so my good
week is i got a fantastic email and it says hi this is ethan i will give you five million dollars
for a lady box slash to get me out of jail wait what this is how many lady boxes left
we could throw one together you know ethan you gotta get on the newsletter so you can know
when the lady boxes are coming out if this is what's gonna get you out of jail like we already
get on top of it also we already decided that if anybody's gonna get got got like that get got it's
me remember that day that i like claimed that instagram sent us in our like uh like chat oh
my god i'm so yeah our group chat wait it was it was that somebody i need to worry about this and
it was like what was it jack no it was like you somebody like hacked your instagram or something
you're like i think i have to click this link for them to give me a million dollars and it's like
from and listen i only know because this happened to me in the past it's like instagram.com but it
spelt like l n like a lowercase instagram you know what it's like it is pretty confusing and
it's easy to get got but also like i mean there's somebody who's gotten got like in the most major
way, you'd think I would be like more careful about it. Also, I've been getting like weird
tweets lately about photos, the same old ass photos that came out many, many years ago.
They're making a resurgence. Oh no. And people are like, if you don't do this thing, I'm going
to post this photo. And I want to be like, uh, old news. Like your nudes? Yes. Blackmail. You're
like, it's literally on the internet already. Brooke would never stand for this. Brooke would
be pissed. She would send a cease and desist. Brooke could scrub the internet. Yes, she could.
Brooke knows people. Well, okay. Well, if anybody has a lady box lying around that we can send to
Ethan and get that guy out of jail, let us know. That's incredible. I wasn't wanting it for the
money, but you're such a nice person. I know, you know, my bad week is, uh, and this goes also back
to Facebook. There was another Facebook poll recently, and it was about what do you do with
your tampon string when it's like hanging out and it's in and interesting stuff. The thing was like,
what do you do with your tampon string? The different options were just let it hang and do
whatever, bring it forward in front of the cooch and tuck it between the cheeks. Now I answered
with what I do, which was what I thought everybody does. It's like tuck it in between your butt
cheeks. I have learned through this poll that I am very weird. Very. So the tip of it, when you go
to pull it out is pooped no it's not I mean I'm not pooping during this time you have to pull it
do you pull the string out of the way when you poop and then I don't like tuck it into my butthole
but I just said you did but I bring it backwards instead of letting it just because when I tampon
hangs and I have underwear on and it's like caught in between my underwear it starts like pulling it
out so I like like put it back up in there right now is Brooke is not happy about this story no
she's not but I like I was so shocked you know there's like things that you do that you just
have always done and you assume it's just the way that everybody does them and then all of a sudden
life hits you really hard and you realize that you're really weird I feel like we could write
a book I feel like this is our second book because it's pretty fascinating what do you do
what to do with your tampon string that's the title well what to do with and then we just go
down a rabbit hole of all these things that you just do automatically and you don't consider that
other people do it differently right like my toilet paper usage i mean that was a huge one
yeah that was a big one just i'm i'm just so pretty what do you do with yours kelty
well i don't wear tampons anymore i knew you were going to answer like that but what did you do when
you wore tampons back in the day holier than thou diva cup user she's like the worst she's like a
vegan. We were at a restaurant the other day and I was eavesdropping on a table and they were asking
the, um, server what the most popular items are. And so the server goes into this entire spiel
because you're wasting their time making them tell you. And then the guy answers,
well, I'm a vegan. And I wanted to turn around and be like, what the, did you just do that?
Like to waste their time. There's one thing on the menu you can eat. And Zach brought up a great
point he said they do that so that they can tell you they're a vegan of course of course
any excuse to tell people they're vegans i just smushed my tampon string up but this is a perfect
like you smush you smush it back into your vagina like i've never truly given thought in my
helicopter of a life of like what i do with the string like i didn't either until the pool i think
it just like up like pushed up either way you're fishing somewhere to have such a a bubbly lip
that it's like it's just kind of all smushed together like a mashed potato in the pan
bubbly lit okay what's your good week bad week okay so i'm gonna start with my bad week because
this is you know goes into being a vegan so as you know i'm not a vegan but i stopped eating meat
uh, when I was in eighth grade and I have pretty much kept me alive. So as you know,
the past three months I've been on this health journey and I was feeling really shitty. And I
was like, well, I can't really go to the doctor and be like, I'm feeling really shitty. And he's
like, what do you eat every day? And I was like, Snickers. Like I got to do some work on my own
here to see if I can start feeling better by like actually fueling my body with a salad. So I've
been on like three months ever since well it actually started three weeks before becca and i
went away in i think that was the beginning of november so it's been it's been a while so i
finally went for my blood test and i am so anemic that it's crazy and now i have to take beef liver
because the regular liver what pods like pills i've been taking regular iron and it's like not
catch like my body won't take it in and they say what's best for it like the minimum level
on the blood test is supposed to be a 16 i'm a three and so they're like you got to take this
beef liver capsule for a day and it has a cow on the front and then on the side it's like liver
is great and i was like anyway so i'm taking beef liver i'll let you know if i wait i think it's
just time just have a burger you know i don't want to have a burger and i don't want to have a beef
liver capsule but i do want to be awake at 4 p.m so i don't know like me with my perfect levels you
know when i got my blood no i know you i was like oh another reason to love jack thigh gap and
perfect vitamin levels now i have the cutest good week so okay for the holidays this year everyone's
like you know we're all kind of not doing big extravagant gifts this year because 2020 and so
chris was like what do you want for christmas and i said i want romance i don't know what that means
so i'm probably going to be disappointed because i've learned my lesson to like tell him i want
this shoe and yeah that's too big it's so vague but i really just want us to do something that
isn't like us existing in the same house together in sweatpants you know and so i was like oh i want
romance he's like I was like maybe we could like watch a movie outside or have a fire and not have
our phones like I don't know so we were driving the other day um we were in Ojai I was staying
at my friend's new Airbnb which is like amazing it's so cute oh she did such a good job um and
so on the way back we stopped by the Ojai farmers market and I couldn't go in because we had Cali
and there was no dogs allowed so Chris went in because he's like on this kick of like I want to
know where my vegetables come from. I want to support local farmers, blah, blah, blah. I'm
like, okay, Chris, enough. You're such a vegan. Anyway, so he comes in and then he's in the car
and he's like, oh, I got you something. And then he gave me this carrot. It's two carrots like
combined. It's us. Oh, Chris. That's sweet. It kind of reminds me of the Amy Schumer carrot
that's been going around that as a wiener. Yeah, the big penis one. Yeah, it's shaped exactly like
that like the two long legs and then there's like a little tiny one in the middle like a wiener
that one has boobs too but that's very nice of him and that's all i needed all i needed was for
you to say a purple carrot looked like us and now my romance is full that's it that's all you got
your gift it was so sweet i was just like oh my god this is like very sweet i don't know my as
my standard low i think very low no i think it's nice low iron low romance no christmas how to take
a note yeah and that's something nice that like men are so bad at shit like that that that's like
a nice cute little thoughtful thing that goes true look at my anniversary flowers by the way
oh gorge yeah nice there's there's that for romance nice did you do anything else like
exciting did he write you a card or anything no we're really bad at that oh i mean we always buy
ourselves something for the house for anniversaries. When we come back, we are going
to review our 2020 and there's not much because I went through my entire Bujo and literally nothing
happened. Now back to the lady gang. Okay. We're back. So we're reviewing our 2020 as the lady
gang. Yes. Um, so I had the Bujo. I brought it out because I was like, let's talk about all the
things that happened to us this year. We worked so hard. We did so much. Wait, Kelty, you have
jen aniston hair right now i'm speaking of yeah it does look very aniston it's so beautiful also
kelsey you literally don't talk into your mic at all i am talking into my mic it's because she
like wants us over here okay i'll talk is this better but we can't see well you need your mic
to come up from from below i would love jack to put her pop screen on and listen we weren't
supposed to record this episode i'm lucky we're not my stuff with me is not breaking up on christmas
so anyway i wanted to talk to you about the year thank you for my jennifer aniston hair i do have
jennifer aniston hair and it's because i started using velcro rollers oh my god i've tried to use
velcro rollers it was a disaster i don't know how you do it how do you get it where it doesn't
to hair school so i know how to do a lot of things with hair okay well brooke uses hot rollers every
day. I saw Brooke's hot rollers on your Instagram. My hair is this bank. Oh, that's my dream.
Huge hair. I actually saw Becca. Um, so I know that you were doing the, um, charity GoFundMe
for Naya and it was so awesome by the way. Yeah. It was amazing. This Snicksness thing. And I saw
the video of you and I could tell that you recorded it on set after you had become Brooke.
Yes. Like a little like flip hair. And I was like, Oh my God, she's in character. And I was
Oh my God. Well, I had brushed out the teas and, but it was still like very odd. It was not,
I actually, it's not a Becca look and I had trouble watching myself, but I like had to
make the video in time because I wanted to be a part of it. But yes, also they've raised almost
a hundred thousand dollars by now. It's probably been a hundred thousand dollars for Alexandria
house. It's awesome. So good. It's awesome. Yeah. So this year, um, you know what, this is a perfect
start. Let's start about the fact that Becca and Jack, I was not a part of it at all until it was
time to like write the check, but I think we did some really good, nice things this year.
Oh, you mean like for, for other, yeah, yeah, we did. We actually kicked it off with the healthcare
worker care packages. Yep. We had the green leaf thing. We did the green leaf salad situation
before COVID. That was like kind of a bummer because we didn't get to do enough for a sense
of home right a sense of home yeah well that hit like literally like yeah before covid started last
time we were together and then we did what else do we do oh we sent sandwiches to cedar sinai
emergency room from uncle polly's yeah um we did the leather ology yes a new way of life re-entry
which was awesome what else um we donated the book retweets to uh bethany yeah frankl i mean i feel
like i actually am really proud of this and like not to gloat on us but um you guys both have been
very like it's been at the forefront of your mind and every time we had a project we're like how can
we give back and i do feel like this is the first year since lady gang's inception where i'm like
wow, we did a lot this year. Oh, the express line. Oh yeah. I was like, we're missing something.
The duty fund. Is it renamed now? Do you fund? Well, I think that like this year,
obviously for everybody, it's like made you stop and really think, especially think about other
people outside of your little bubble. So for us, it was a good opportunity to be able to do that.
Well, and thanks to the listeners who also contributed.
We have a lot of listeners who have brands who donated stuff.
Yep.
Yeah, it's been good.
Yeah, the healthcare worker thing was so cute because it really was all the lady gang coming together to help each other.
And whether that was, you know, people asking me if they could donate money or all the brands basically in the packages that we're sending out were either lady gang or lady gang adjacent.
so it was really cute especially at a time that was like fucking terrifying and then we did the
teacher boxes too don't forget that oh you're right oh yeah boxes yeah damn yeah we spent a
lot of time on stamps.com just saying for uh for three vapid loser idiots whatever our worst review
says on instagram or on itunes in your face world yeah we're also okay people and humans you know
and also it's a testament to the fans like and the listeners because if if we weren't successful
we wouldn't have the ability to do that stuff and so it's like by making all these little projects
we did successful it's like then we could donate more money we could help out more we could spend
like i think we spent like five grand on shipping those those teacher boxes like there was so much
they were all over the place remember when i just had like a few small boxes left and i put like
two things in it i feel so bad for those teachers i'm sorry oh and didn't somebody end up listening
about it they're like thanks so much it's small and i was like i ended up sending her something
else i know it was so bad she's like thanks so much for the pencil
everybody else is gonna use extravagant gifts that's why i can't be in charge of community
gift no give back no okay we all have we all have our talents culty it's fine so the bujo says that
on march 1st we went to new york city i was just looking at those photos you guys and remember
becca and i were supposed to go back like two weeks later like on march i don't know 18th yes
yeah they were like shouldn't go anymore it's so weird and that i was just last thing together
and we had the book launch party i was thinking about it and i think obviously it was a real
sandwich that we had the book come out during covid but also i'm glad that we got to do all
the preliminary stuff in person to me that was so much more fun like being in new york having the
party with all the press dressing in all red coordinating our outfits doing the video that
we made for target it was so cute yeah yeah so so if there was going to be a time i'm glad we got
to do that the only thing i'm pissed about is not being able to see our our billboard in times
square and actually like being on gma would have been kind of dope yeah to be like in the studio
and stuff so i wasn't just waking up at 4 a.m and sitting in my apartment that was so bleak that was
bleak and then i literally felt like i was so hung over the entire day i know and it's just not the
same like i really had hot dreams for like showing up at gma and there's always paparazzi there
for the guest entrance you know and so like we roll up looking like boss bitches and we're like
and like you know i don't know then you get to like smooth with the other big celebrities in
the green room and stuff like it could have been a moment could have been a moment we'll have more
moments i hope so okay so um the day that is the saddest for me i don't want to make this sad but
march 7th march 7th um in the bujo i have the list of what we had planned for the tour
oh shit all the areas how many seats each one had and then i even had this like color coordinated
calendar that was like show days days off and then one of them was like we got to brunch shows
we got to go to new york because we're going to do like a whole new york thing and i just crossed
it out with a big f**king x big f**king x we can do that again i know and it's going to be sweeter
no it's gonna be sweeter because we won't take any of it for granted i know oh that is what a
i can't wait for our first live show back oh my god oh my god i'm gonna get thinking about it
we're gonna take so many shots i'm gonna get blackout with it i'll go
so excited i cannot wait to party i am like i have so much party built up in me
you have so much party i'm like give me a shitty dive bar please
let's see oh leanne ford was our last in-person guest that we ever had she aired so then i have
four weeks till book launch i'm like getting real psycho in here uh-huh oh remember at the
beginning of covid i started tracking my uh tiktoks because it was like i'm in 30 days
worth of like really popular tiktaks and see if i can grow that is so embarrassing wait are you
still posting on tiktok kelty i did today but i'm not really doing the dancing once you're not
once i had that like summer kelt down around the book i just didn't feel jolly enough to ever be
dancing again okay i don't know when i'll ever dance again oh god but i interviewed charlie
um d'amelio i know i was gonna ask you did did that make you feel like famous adjacent or
something not at all i tried to post i was like maybe some people come over it's like
zero it's like no dead silent no we are geriatric um okay well i wish that on my
fucking bujo i'd put what month i'm in tuesday the 19th two weeks till book
wow that would be with all those stickers and pens and shit you would think healthy i bought
you so many supplies you guys want to see my bujo i got a desk calendar which is game changer
cute I love a desk calendar um and then I just have like a lot of lady gang things like lists
and I mean we didn't really do anything but it was kind of a crazy time because we launched the
book and then we launched the clothing line and um and then do you remember when we did GMA for
the book I have it here on a Thursday we aired the review of us going on GMA because we were like
awake at four o'clock in the morning and then we're like well we're already on zoom we should
just podcast and then we're just like oh yeah wasted on coffee that was a great yes yeah that
was fun so at like 6 a.m oh yeah it was really good um and then uh we launched the lady gang
collection i went and stayed at a hotel in palm springs that was so fun um i'm still really proud
of the lady gang collection i love that gingham dress oh the express one i know it's so cute
i'm really excited to be able to make more clothes for real life you know like remember how dope the
fall collection was supposed to be oh my god i have pictures of like all the fabrics and the
colors and it's just it was really good but we can again we can do it again next year it's gonna be
better because we're gonna do it ourselves and we're gonna include all the lady gangers in our
process so it's gonna be that much better it really um let's talk about this the success of
the sweatsuit you guys oh it's so exciting um becca i actually have yours here that i want to
send to you like not the samples i got the real ones um no i think it's cool and let's talk like
a little bit about the that process because it was wild like we really f***ing designed it yeah
Yeah. Well, it was born out of actually before COVID because we sent in inspiration photos
in the beginning of the year. And so Jack and I were supposed to go to New York to develop those
ideas. So then COVID hits, we do summer and then we realize no one's buying anything other than
like comfy, casual, whatever stuff. So we had those inspiration photos and then we just sort
of like, also we've been so practiced and well-versed in sweatsuits for the last nine months
that we were like, we know exactly what everything needs and the fabric and the fit and all that
stuff. So it was really kind of amazing. I learned so much. Like I can consider my brain
pretty full, but I was just fascinated with the whole process and like learned new words and
they'd be like, the tie is falling. And I was like, what? Like I never thought that much. And
now I'm like a psycho about clothes. And I was like, Ooh, that's off. I'm like, well, and it's
like kind of cool because we did all the fittings via zoom, obviously, because they were halfway
across the country. So it was kind of cool that we're still able to figure out what was happening
with the fittings while not being there and actually having, cause when we, when I shot all
of the stuff for the website, it was still the samples that weren't correctly fit. And I'm like,
Oh, I really, really hope they come in and they like fit better. And then I, I tried on the real
one and I was like, Holy shit. Somehow we went from like the last fitting was good to like
incredible. Yeah. I know. Amazing. I know. I'm still waiting for mine in the right size that
aren't samples. Godspeed. It's on the way. I'm sorry. I've been sending. No, I have to order
from i have to order from the actual website because i need i got i got you extra small
the black too did you get me yours is here also i have two sets wait you got me all of them in
extra small yes oh my god you're an angel from heaven i know you're welcome um but i also think
it's been really cool to just like watch the community and like you don't have to buy your
shit from us but it's cool to see people be like cool i know that i could probably get something
similar somewhere that mass produces it like cheaper or whatever. And like, I'm going to
support the lady gang. Cause like they put a lot of effort in that's cool. You know?
Yeah. And also like what we made and the quality that we made it, you actually can't get that
cheaper. So good luck. No, I mean, it's of course you can buy a sweatsuit from target or Walmart
for $20, but that is being made in hundreds of thousands of pieces overseas. And that's just
the reason why fast fashion can exist the way that it does in stores like that. But if you're
making smaller quantities with nice fabrication, we would be losing money sold it for that much
money. So it's just, you get what you pay for. Wait, when we come back, I want to just have a
thought. You're listening to the lady gang. All right, we're back. We're not doing us a lady gang.
it's the holidays. Everyone's very busy. So this is going to be a little bit of a short episode,
but I wanted to say like, we just celebrated five years. And I think there were times this year
where we were like, I don't know if I can do this podcast anymore. Well, I actually never
felt like that, but I know you guys did. No, I didn't either. Okay, good. I love the end of the
year when Kelty is like, so next year, I think like, should we just like not do it anymore?
like what actually that's my worst fear is waking up one day to a text message from kelty or an
email where she's had like a full countdown and she says that she just needs to retire from lady
gang yeah that is i have nightmares thinking about that because no this is now this is now
the majority of both of our professional lives yeah we need this and if becca and i did it
ourselves again it would just crumble in two minutes so it wouldn't happen on it just wouldn't
well what i was gonna say is there's been time this this year was like challenging i think for
me like i i'm not good with change and i'm not good with disappointment and there was like a lot
of that this is a hard year for a kelty it was a hard year for a kelty because you're like you
make a plan and you just want to execute that plan and the plan's always changing and you can't make
plans because you know where the this is gonna end it's still not over and anyway but um but i
was thinking like five, five years, like I could see us doing another five more. I hope the
listeners want, you know, and like building out the community and, and doing even more stuff. Like
I feel like we're just getting started. I think this year was some of our best episodes, our most
vulnerable, our most authentic, the best celebrities. Um, I don't know. I feel like
we're just getting into it. I think so too. I think we need more than five more years.
hell yeah granny gang come on one day the granny gang will be 80 years old it's gonna be amazing
honestly i'm gonna be an awesome well my friend christina and i we have this
she has already knows her granny gang name which is judith she's when i'm old i'm judith i'm a
