present yeah so if you could just get me like some sort of plaque or kelty if you're listening just some sort of thing that can denote that this is a record-breaking episode record-breaking i'll display i'll put it on my work desk over there oh yeah you can get it on your work desk away from my vision yeah i love it it'll go right next to my grammy yeah you know wishful thinking it's fine one day um so i don't know if you've been living under a rock we got engaged last week we're engaged we're engaged we're gonna get married my fiancee my fiancee yes yes yes so i wanted to do a little recap of the events that happened if everybody listened to tuesday's episode beck and kelty uh railroaded me and they threw me into doing an episode of recapping my last week

while i was pretty much asleep still and hungover so that was great so now i get to be the one asking you questions because i want to hear it and i'm sure all of our lovely listeners want to hear it from your perspective so where do we even begin jared um well here's a here's a good first question when did you know that you wanted to marry me okay well you sent me a text that said oh boy in all caps and i think it was like 2018 yes yeah before we even reconnected before we even had our first date yeah no before i even came to see you at warp tour yeah that was pre-warp tour yeah so it's from that moment on you knew i was the one yeah well i'm kind of goofing i think i think when i really like really made up my mind was so it took what eight it took eight

months for you to call me your boyfriend yeah so we started dating in june of 2018 i allowed you to call me or no i allowed myself to call you my boyfriend you're probably calling me your girlfriend to everybody and in your own mind for the past eight months right i was i was but i remember it was after your 8123 fest i just had a moment and i was like we can be boyfriend and girlfriend now but we had been boyfriend and girlfriend the whole time i just like couldn't get past myself yeah i just wouldn't say it so i finally allowed myself to be a little bit vulnerable and to give in and uh you know actually make it official i'm okay with being embarrassed by this guy full time yeah yeah i'll put a label on it and it's been nothing but embarrassment

since and it's been amazing you know when did i actually know i think when did you know i feel like we've both grown together like so much in three years and i think there's been moments where i could look back and just be like oh that's why oh wait that's also why or that's like you know like to single it single out a few things it's like you supporting me like you just that like you being cool with what i'm doing and not letting it be some cliche like the band's gonna make it it's not that it's not that it's like you're there like it's almost impossible for me to go on the road and like like i would have to try my hardest to keep you away from me yeah which i love oh for me that's huge like to have a partner that is invested in what you're

doing and pays attention to you and like is a fan of you that's what more could you ask for in life like you support me you you support me more than anybody ever has yeah by it's not even close you know so i think that and like us overcoming some of the obstacles like the long distance thing and like there was such a big ordeal for us at the beginning and like oh yeah being able to move past that spending all the time with your parents at the beginning of lockdown and like you know we like lived with them for like a month and a half like I got to know them so well and like I love them and they're fantastic people and it's a reflection of you as a person and like all of those things together like so yeah the text that you sent me back oh boy oh boy so that

was the moment yeah that was the moment yeah I think that's actually really interesting because I don't think I have a specific moment either where it it was all these kind of little like stepping stones like on the way up of building this just like over overwhelming feeling of just like knowing that you're my person but there was never one moment where it was like ah that's it because I feel like it's normal to have doubts while you're getting to know somebody and like as you get to know them those kind of get you know you figure them out as you go along and you get to know somebody in a way where they're either going to work with you or they're not well for us too i mean when is it ever actually normal you know like we're not normal no and

you know we both it's so funny because our lives are kind of aligned in what we do but then also like who we are and how we like roll with situations like i feel like we've kind of grown together in that way and so we approach things similarly now you know and like i've learned how to maybe be more on top of like my schedule and planning stuff you know and then you've also learned to like maybe be more forgiving when i'm not you know i've learned a lot of patience let me tell you but at the end of the day it's like i i just i'm really proud of what we've built me too and i'm like shocked that we're both in a place in our lives now that we've never been you know i've never been engaged have you uh okay no yeah i didn't think so nowhere near it

i think it's awesome i think it's like i don't know well i feel like i have the high score right now like i'm really crushing it well and it's such a it's it's crazy because we were just talking about this before we started the podcast where it's like we woke up this morning and it's like I feel kind of the same, but in a good way, because you and I have been so open and honest about where we're at and what we want to do and our future and our goals. And so it's obviously not a surprise. Yeah. I mean, it was a little bit of a surprise to me, but it's, we expected this and we wanted it. And it was just kind of the logistics of making it happen. But other than that it's like it's not like you feel like you're in this new dimension when you're engaged i feel

like it's just another day i feel like it was like some struggle to get here and now there's this big payoff no like we're just here and we're hung over as shit the next day after engagement and we went and like partied in vegas like we would have done before we're engaged and had so much fun and we're just it's just us and i have a ring on my finger i think that's the only difference really do you think it's funny that like a day after we got engaged we watched avril lavigne from sidestep we watched we literally were screaming to skater boy we really were oh my god talk about full full circle and you forgot to mention we also saw mgk but i don't think you want to talk about that one i can talk about that this is see marriage is all about compromise you know i'm learning

these lessons now i'm putting them into practice yeah it's like you make me come to vegas i made you tag along and i made you watch machine gun kelly at like 2 a.m at 2 in the morning but that's a compromise for myself because you know my prime time is 2 p.m not 2 a.m oh i'm aware but i will say i had fun i had a i actually had so much fun there we had so much fun in vegas but anyways back to yes we should go we should rewind because you were asking me my side of everything oh yeah we didn't even begin to start about that okay so it depends on where you want to draw the line at for like where you want me to start but basically nervous wreck would be putting it lightly um i think i was um having an out-of-body experience all week and it all kind of culminated when

i was at the venue and we were setting up we were sound checking and i was like oh shit this is real like yeah i have to do this tonight like and i kept i remember i do this all the time i'm so bad at like time management unless there's something that's really stressing me out about to happen and then i will know how many hours and minutes it is from that moment for the rest of the day oh you mean like a flight and like getting to the airport five hours early something like that are you talking about my dad airport vibes yeah your dad airport vibes i've gotten a lot better at that yeah because i won't go to the airport early anyways i'm saying we're learning stuff from each other it's compromise anyways so fast forward everybody starts kind

of showing up we're getting closer to show time we go to alexis's place everyone's there i'm talking to your aunt and uncle meeting them for the first time and i could have been speaking a different language to them i don't know i was there were alexis had mcdonald's she had chicken nuggets jared couldn't even eat a chicken nugget he was so nervous i should have known something was up at that moment i was like jared never turns down mcdonald's and then what's going on oh well i should say so that one of the funniest parts was your parents and your aunt and uncle had pulled like the ultimate like support move for me and because your parents have had this they had the ring the whole time yeah so i don't think i so they picked the ring up when you were

at sad summer right right so i had the ring i like signed off on the ring and david um with david's house of diamonds was going to make it yeah but i wasn't going to be around to pick it up because we had to go out on the road so um first off shout out to him for being so cool and like kind of david's house of diamonds if you're in the california area and you need a diamond david it was what's up and it's so funny it's just like me to be like i need this thing okay see you bye and then i like left and then like i called your your parents i was like i'm not gonna be there to get it can you guys please go get it and like hang on to it at your place because i'm really nervous obviously i don't want to travel with it i'd like for it to be

safe so they had it and i didn't see it in person until about a week before i proposed to you because we were down in orange county yeah and your mom was like get in here you need to see this so i like you know it's was it in the kitchen no oh take another guess i don't know spare room okay um well no i heard you and we went down there for brunch yeah and you were in the kitchen cooking and i could hear because i don't cook i just like sat out on the patio just like drinking a mimosa or something and i could hear you and my mom whispering ah there was like something going on in there and i'm sure she probably was like hey come with me to the spare room so i can show you the ring that's probably exactly what what you were hearing

yeah i knew exactly what time it was and i was like i this doesn't sound like the right time for me to go inside right now so well that's hilarious so i was looking back i was just so obvious in so many different moments and it's like of course i was like it's just me you're you can't you get too excited yeah i'm too like cartoony and you're too cartoony but then i also feel like you just can't keep a secret because not from it's not for me not from you it's so hard to be like i'm gonna do something incredible like to you yeah you're gonna have so it needs to be great and then like i just can't say anything yeah and i'm like telling like my friends are like they're like who cares yeah they're like oh great dude like whatever like good luck so

i think i did a pretty good job of like yeah totally i think i did a pretty good job for me for me you did a good job for you anyways you did anyways so that was the first time i saw the ring was like a week before the fonda show yeah and then uh fast forward we're all at alexis's house like hanging out before the show and your parents and your aunt and uncle brought the ring up brought some stuff for the after show party and they swung by the bus yeah and our merch guy justin let them onto the bus and they stashed the ring in my backpack in my bunk so now i know where it's at my mom was probably terrified to leave that ring oh absolutely especially like the bus being back in the alley and like you have to make sure you lock the door

oh yeah it was not not in a great and i'm freaking out too because i'm not there to like personally oversee it so anyways we all trust justin he did a great job yeah and then your parents and your aunt and uncle come to alexis's place now at this point i've been freaking out for a while and they get there i meet your aunt and uncle they're super duper nice we're having a conversation and then your aunt is like she said something about like oh yeah we were just on your tour bus or something like that yeah dead giveaway i didn't hear her say it i didn't know what she said because again i'm not in my own face at this point yeah you're not even there out of my body out of body experience so i was like what and then she was like what and then we but we all

kind of like realized except for you i would assume but we all realized like wait what and she and then somehow i think it was your uncle who saved it somebody saved it and was like yeah we're talking about like back in the day we were on blue oyster colds bus no they said like last week and i was like last week aunt lena you're going on blue that's what it was tour bus like what the are you talking about so we congratulated her on her her um the art of confusion because it was very confusing to me but but basically what happened was she slipped up a little bit and then recovered and then we were talking about blue oyster colt i was talking about like the snl skit with like will ferrell and all it just totally took a different direction yeah so

there were so many little signs and i felt like at any point like you had me figured out but if you did you did a pretty good job that day of not making me feel like you knew because i was i'm walking around that whole day like oh i got this it's in the bag oh no i mean i i don't want to like blow up your spot i need to give you your moment too what a great partner but you know you know me so well that you know i can pick up on the tiniest tiniest little clues yeah like the teen tiniest tiny little clues i'm like jared i have too many tells i start touching my face a lot when i'm nervous like i sweat it's like what do you you used to have a nervous cough before covid you really kicked it i did it's gone yeah um so anyways uh i go down to the venue i leave

you guys at alexis's place and i go down there and the report is that when i was backstage i was picking stuff up randomly and like putting it places and like just having a whole like series of movements and everyone said i was acting like crazy weird yeah and they were i garrett told me that i was repeating things like three times he said i just kept saying like the same same thing to him over and over and he said it was like i was like broken i was like on a loop and that goes on for a while and more people start to show up to the venue i realize you guys are in take the stage and at that point was when it hit me i was like it's like pressing play it's like i can't stop this like there's going to come a point about 12 songs from now where

take it or leave it i gotta do it yeah i'm locked in and i think the thing that comforted me was like i was just in my head i was like i love you so much and i am so sure that like good bad whatever happens to me up here like i'm in a position right now where i even get to propose to you and for me that was like such a such a big deal and it was just so cool that all of your friends were there our families were there um a lot of other people were there it was just like a lot of randoms you know and thanks for all the youtube or videos that you guys have sent me i know there's so many different angles of me just blabbering like an idiot up there but no and i think i mean i hope it was comforting that you had the support of literally everybody i love

minus a few friends that live out of the city and this side of the country i mean my parents love you so much my friends love you so much and i feel like everybody's support was like lifting you up yeah where it would have been so scary like i don't know like a situation if you don't have anybody else around that like yeah can help you when you're kind of stumbling or whatever i felt like i almost had too much help you know what i mean yeah so many people so many people all of your friends your mom your dad like people coming at my even my parents being like we're we'll drive out there i'm like well that's gonna give it away but yeah let's do it yeah you know immediately so but i was like i wanted them to be there and i wanted everyone to be in the

room and i really i was so happy to see all these people show up you know to to watch me flail around and try to get you to marry me you know what i'm saying like it was so fun and and i i will always look back at it as something where you know it's it's in line with how i always approach you which is put myself out there and get outside my comfort zone and try to make you laugh and I think over the years just doing that has led to a lot of growth for me personally yeah you know and it kind of led me to this moment where I'm like well here I am I'm gonna do it and you know I think when it was all said and done it's like the fact that me and you can get on a bus and go to vegas and like have a like bender of a weekend just it was wild it was like

it never started it was just a whirlwind you know it was a whirl i mean we're recording this on monday night yeah we got engaged on thursday night went to vegas friday saturday like we have barely even had time we got back yesterday and we literally laid on the couch like for half the day and died yeah and so today was kind of our first day of processing everything yeah you know and i don't think that's normal for like a proposal i think normally it's like it's like in like tahiti and then you're like going on like a romantic dinner right after and then you're just lounging around but it's like how this is so uniquely and especially us like it really is at the end of the day like so much of our world is tied into music obviously with your profession

and my love for it and i just think it's such a fun story that we get to tell friends and family and our kids one day because it's so special to us yeah like it really is i mean the last thing i wanted to do was put you like center stage but i also was like kind of excited to see like what happened to me and you in that moment yeah and so i don't know i'm i'm just so happy that we're sitting here setting goals now and thinking about what comes next for me that was always the important part that was always i wanted to know what it was like on this side of it yeah you know and to get there with somebody who you love more than anything in the world you know i just feel very lucky to be in this position oh you know i love you yeah i feel so lucky too i never thought

in my wildest dreams that I'd find a partner that is so perfect for me. Like I really, I never did. And I feel infinitely lucky. And like I said, I had a meltdown in Tuesday's episode. And a lot of it is because I've been so goddamn overwhelmed at how much love that I have been given and received just through all of our family and friends and specifically you. Like it really is just like a culmination of just all all of the feelings that I've ever had for you in the time that we've known each other and in the time that we've been dating it just it's such an overwhelming thing to kind of think of them all and have it hit you at one specific time it's overwhelming and it's so emotional and I'm still trying to like get on the other side of it and like every

time I think about it I cry but it's because like I just love you so much it's heavy and it's but it's beautiful at the same time but it's just a lot to take on i think it is well it's i mean just the way that i did it like who who would walk into that scenario and be like oh this is normal i'm gonna feel totally fine after this it's like i even i like walk off stage like holy shit like it was so it was a lot and you know i i guess that's the one i didn't really think about it a whole lot going into i just i saw it as like this like shotgun sort of moment which is like boom yeah like you know and that's what it was and i think for anybody that's it's overwhelming but i think that this the cherry on top of all of it was waking up with you in vegas and the first thing

that i did was make you laugh yeah and it made me feel like over the moon i was just like you're my person forever and if i can walk in here and be a jester and on a stage or behind closed doors or wherever it is that we are like that brings me more joy than anything yeah you know is being your partner somebody that you trust and someone who can make you laugh it's all you need at the end of the day that's it i was gonna say um it was really funny like at the end of the proposal you go i fucking did it like you're so proud of yourself i didn't know how to end it i honestly it's like you're it's it's like you're flying a plane and you don't know where to set it down it's like i don't know how to land this thing and i'm just trying to find

a soft patch yeah i've used that analogy before but yeah it's it honestly was like i think i said into the mic i don't know if it's on the video that we put in the tuesday episode but um i grabbed the mic at the end of it and i go i need john where's john yeah yeah because he left i didn't know if he was gonna like do like some sort of segue to me john left you like high and dry no but like i think that that was better because how much weirder would it be if he was like ladies and gentlemen i present you jerry like none of us knew how to really go about it we didn't really talk about it that much either they were like okay so what are you doing so like with five songs left you're just gonna like propose like you want john was like you use

my mic you use your mic i was like well my mic's off so i'll use yours nobody wants to hear my voice oh my god that's so funny but yeah it is true it was just so weird because he's like now i'm gonna play all-star i was like oh yeah when so after we got off stage together yeah the plan was john was gonna play an acoustic song so that you and i could have a moment off stage but like i think we're both so overwhelmed like who gives a shit about a moment right now we're just trying to probably honestly i just wanted to get the show done yeah i wanted to be done because i wanted to come see you and i wanted to decompress together yeah i can't decompress with you if i know i got to go back up in three minutes i know it was such a bizarre situation but so so the plan was for him

to do an acoustic song called april 7th which he actually wrote for his wife yeah um words where's my song got like 50 let me bust one out right now start singing no i shouldn't have said that um anyways instead of going into the acoustic song the first thing he does when we get off stage is start singing smash mouth all-star acapella i mean a crowd gets everybody singing it and i'm like that that's the wacky shit like that's just kind of like the like i just remember standing there thinking like man like anything can kind of happen in this scenario yeah and i just felt good that like we got to work something in there and like have a moment and something that we're definitely not going to forget now and uh yeah it'll be a great story for our kids one day oh

my god well at least i just the problem is that there's not enough footage of it no if only there were like four or five hundred more people filming i know i mean some of your videos jack and jack vanek.com no it got way too many i got too many and now my inbox is clogged and i did the recent thing where i deleted all of my unread messages so now i'm back up to like 200 but again thank you everybody for your videos they were so sweet they actually were and i said this in the tuesday episode but you could see my dad's little bald head in the front dude you know what's funny about that i just called you dude i'm sorry i call you dude all the time i know but on the podcast i didn't really want to do it you know don't tell my secrets yeah oops so i when i was given the

speech your dad was right in front of me he was on top of you i didn't see him you didn't i didn't see anything i saw like well i couldn't hear anything because i thought everybody was silent so i guess we both lost some of our senses yeah it's weird what happens to you when you're in them when people that's the thing you know what maybe like some of your senses just shut off when you're so overwhelmed and stressed i feel like if enough people look at you something will break good thing it wasn't sight yeah though we did almost trip at the end oh yeah that's the thing that okay so we started like making out i know which is awesome yeah it was like for me sexual yeah huge thing for me love making out and we're you're i've got you i'm holding you and we're

going off stage left so my side of the stage we're going back towards the stairs i'm walking backwards you're walking backwards but i've got you so i'm walking kind of like towards you and you're we're holding each other and there's a big light part of our lighting package on stage and you back your heel into it and we start to go over yeah and i somehow was able to reach back i mean i was really drunk too by the way yeah i was able to reach back and like grabbed you but if i didn't we were going to go down the stairs together and we still would have been visible because part of the stage had lights on it but you could have sent that to barstool and we could have gone viral that's true should a lot of happen true would you imagine if we both tripped fell off

stage so dangerous broke all of our bones stage was six feet tall that would have been really bad no and you would have squashed me oh my god if i landed on you you've been dead oh my god you would have killed me oh no oh my god we would have gotten engaged you would have killed me five seconds later oh my god imagine the stress that you could carry from that oh my god that's such a sad thought i'm sorry to give you a nightmare i don't want to think about that i like you i like you alive yeah and living thank you yes i hope so okay so when we come back i actually don't know how long we've been talking for so this might be a long one but when we come back i just made a random instagram story asking for some questions so we're just gonna do a little

the tuesdays up on tuesday's episode but um absolutely absolutely you did jared what would you have done if i wasn't so um open about the fact that i wanted to pick out my own ring like what would you have chosen how the would you have done it all right well let's not forget that i kind of steered you towards what we ended up with like you you sent me like inspo and stuff like you would send me stuff that you liked but to be honest like i've done a lot of i've looked into rings just because it's interesting well yeah it's actually really cute because when we started getting serious yeah you started just researching diamonds just so you could be knowledgeable about the cut clarity like all the different facets of the diamond yeah because you wanted

to be informed when it came to the time of actually choosing one okay so you know me i don't like walking into a situation and not knowing like what's waiting for me there yeah so i like to i wanted my thought was i could walk in and if we're like talking to a jeweler i could go in and be like okay i know this and this and this and of course i tried that and like some of some of it i was just wrong about but yeah but if there's one thing that i'd know personally i mean i'll never wear a diamond ring but what i like is a simple ring that speaks for itself and i think the best way to do that is with a solitaire yeah and i think that if you're going to go that route you need to do it in a way where that rock is just like it's the statement it is the ring yeah the

band holds that that's what you're displaying so um what was so cool about getting to do it with you was we walked in there and i'm thinking about like cut clarity i'm thinking about color like all these different things and you just walk in and you go i like the big one and i was like okay and then we started well david david's house of diamonds he kept like and obviously you're gonna do this when you're selling a diamond but he kept showing it to us under the microscope and like with the light and like all this like you're looking at all the imperfections of the diamond and i'm like but can i see it on the band on my finger again yeah just so i can see the size of it yeah well because he started he was like do you want me to start small or big and you're like

big and i was like oh jesus and he was like dude i'm trying to help you out yeah and i think what was funny about it was he gave us i don't know i forget what it's called but the the eye piece where you can look at it a little monocle thing yeah and first off it took us both like a minute to learn how to even see through the thing and then once you got around to actually looking at the diamonds like the imperfections or whatever it was the color the different things about them like i could tell in that moment that like this was going to be a little bit easier than i thought because i was like we can go for a really good sort of middle ground on some of those things but make sure that we get you like a really big rock and so that's where we ended up and did good

jare you know i love directions i know i'm a rule follower i gave you some directions okay if you could get rid of one habit for the other person what would it be this is not a marriage question or an engagement question oh man who's got to go first i don't know i don't even know what i would get rid of your habit i'm trying to think of something annoying you do which you know is your biggest nightmare is something real small for you what you leave all right we don't have a lot of room oh yeah our apartment isn't that big no our apartment is tiny and first off we get a ton you get so many packs you get more packages than anyone i've ever met so many packages and we will do a deep clean of this apartment and it will be like spotless and within

Within three hours, you'll go to the mail room and you'll come back and somehow there's packing paper and cardboard and tape and tags and everywhere. There's just not enough room in this apartment for my stuff. But guess who then has to condense it all, carry it down, take it down. You love being useful, though. I do. But, and honestly, I can't change that about you. You get things in the mail. What am I going to do about it?

I know. But what I will pick. i'm not the cleanest person in the entire world i'm not i'm not dirty no no you're not dirty you just i just accumulate too much stuff and there's nowhere to put it so then it becomes a mess i think you're just busy i'm busy you're just busy and so like and that only happens when you have to jump from this thing into a meeting or you're doing this or that and then you have to drive across town really quick and then i'm sitting here and i'm looking around and i'm like what happened it's like a tornado came through here that happened today yeah we came home to

a clean apartment yesterday yeah and it's a disaster right now it's okay um i the only thing that i would change about you is i really wish really wish that you would start facing the other way when you sleep because you always because i i hate facing somebody when we sleep yeah and i really like sleeping i sleep on my left and right side yeah but when i really want to sleep on my left side i turn over i get my self-situated in my whole pillow put my little ear in the hole because it's my pierced ear and then i look and there's your face mouth open breathing your gross breath right into me i'm a mouth breather you're a mouth breather only when you're sleeping yeah Unfortunately.

My nose is always like half stuffy, so I'm always just breathing through my mouth. A big schnoz just really accumulates a lot of boogers. You'd think this thing would be able to breathe a little better than it does. It doesn't. So if you can really start working on that, that would be great. Okay, next question. Next question, please. How do you stay motivated to find your person when it feels like it's never going to happen?

Well, I think my answer might be a little different than yours because I'm like a serial monogamist. Yes. and i'm jared loves being in a relationship yeah and like i i don't know i just i get a lot of fulfillment out of like taking time and getting to know somebody and like you know sometimes i can lead you to a bad place yeah and you could be stuck in that loop for a long time and um but i think what motivated me to keep looking was ultimately just wanting more and, and wanting to be better myself. You know, like I got to a point in my life where I was like, I had kind of like plateaued personally for a while, kind of like

stalled out. And I just kind of knew that the only way to get to the next place in my life was to push myself way outside of my comfort zone. And that meant to keep searching. And what's funny about it is that i started searching and then i was like wait a second i should maybe text jack circle back yeah but it still i would still consider that searching because i was going through my brain and i was like what like what do i do next and then like you know you were in the back of my mind and i was just like this is somebody that i think i need to follow up with because we had we had a connection yeah and so um yeah the motivation was just to end up in a better place ultimately yeah to try to better myself and and to do that

through finding someone else that i felt like was in that same sort of level yeah i think for me i mean when it comes to you you were definitely not my type of person on paper at the time in my life when we reconnected so for me i think it really comes like you need to keep yourself open. And for me, I was kind of in a phase of my life where I'm just like, I'm going to be a yes man. I was trying to tick off so many boxes on paper that I thought was going to be the type of man that I really wanted to end up with. And it wasn't working out for me at all. I was getting disappointed. I was going on amazing dates and getting ghosted. I was just in such a shitty place. And once I started just being open and accepting dates from people I wouldn't usually

accept from and just putting myself out there and meeting different types of people that's where I feel like the right kind of people started entering my life obviously not the right person to end up with until you but I would have never gone into this situation going to see you on Warped Tour being like oh this could be my potential future husband you know but I'm gonna put myself in the situation to have a good time and see what happens and be open to it and then we just had like an immediate spark again and I kind of just allowed myself to experience that like what was going to happen and thrust myself into whatever life was going to bring me with you and that's how it ended up working out and we figured out all the logistics that I didn't think I was into like

the band and the living in a different state and the long distance and all that kind of stuff forget to mention that you told me those things right out of the gate yeah you were very yeah and you're and you've worked on him yeah but you told me like i wouldn't have had a roadmap if you weren't like and you were like giving me listen this might only work for me because i'm so like task oriented yeah you were like you gave me like a series of hurdles to jump over you know and that was so healthy for me because i was like oh okay i know like i have direction i have purpose like i know what i need to be working on right now yeah it was awesome it's like how i grew so much in that little eight month period when we first started talking to each other no totally so

yeah no looking i can't keep going and it's just things just like hit you when you're least expecting it and people pop out of the woodworks yeah and i just think that you should never write somebody off for a reason think about how specific both of us are yeah like what kind of specific people we are like we've ended up finding each other which is like and also like don't be afraid to circle back in your life yeah because i feel like there is really something to somebody that's known you for so long and even if it didn't work out the first time like just having that connection it's hard meeting new people and i think the older that you get the harder it is to date and like really get to know people because you've had so much experience and like trauma and baggage is

heavy baggage and all that that it like it's it's fucking hard to date as an adult like it's really fucking hard and it's it gets you down and it's just like it's always disappointing for a very long time until you find the person that makes it all worth it but um yeah if there's somebody from your past you're like hmm i wonder what he's up to just throw him a text i wonder what she's up to are you coming to work for her there you go what part of wedding planning are you most excited for congratulations thank you well what are you excited for jared i'm excited for well okay well that's this is an unfair question because i i can't plan it no no it's not gonna i know you're not gonna let me do much i'll let you help i'm here for like input yes i mean i'm making the

ultimate decisions obviously but i'm cool with that i just think i'm the most excited to like I just feel I feel like such a huge weight has been removed like it was there was so much stress around how I was going to propose or like just getting past that moment and now it's like now we can relax and we can take cues from things that we've done wrong in the past or how we want to set this up moving forward or like we can really zero in and have a really great celebration for our wedding yeah and do it the way that we want to do it and I think that to me is just really exciting because we can just have that day that's like you know hopefully just for us yeah you know well and i think that we're still trying to figure out exactly what we want to do but

obviously i probably want it to be an intimate situation yes how intimate we got to figure out why not on stage probably not on stage in front of 2 000 people but uh yeah i'm excited to figure it out and i know we want to do destinations so i mean i would love to just like bop around and look at different villas because i think what we want to do is rent a big villa and do it on the beach private little thing um really simple no napkins no no matching chairs no charger tables i or charger charger plates are we gonna start planning it right now we're going do you even know what a charger plate is i just figured it out yeah it's a plate that sits underneath another thing oh you do yeah well my best friend anna is getting married and she said that she was looking

for charger plates and i literally thought i was like that's so cool that you're getting these plates that can charge your phone shut up you didn't say that did you say that you said it out loud i said it in my mind but i was like a charger plate that i thought there were those little like you know those phone charging stations that you could just like plop your phone on you don't have to plug them in here's what i think we should do you can have all the ideas and you can ask me in if they're real things and i will clear them you can google them you're like i really want have plates that charge your phone yeah i heard these charger plates are all the rage i'll let you know if it's a real thing that exists in the universe thanks well i don't want any plates i

mean i guess we got to have a plate but no charger plates okay none of the fancy things maybe like a couple like floral arrangements but you don't need plates when you have taco bell wrapped wow you're not wrong you know i mean everybody loves taco bell yep except for my stomach sometimes yeah okay um this question comes from beth the dog okay but really beth's owner lindsey which is hi lindsey she's a really good friend of ours um she says tell us about the first time you farted in front of jared oh i know you do you know yeah you were probably peeing i know late night good yeah am i i need to know i can't be i know all women probably fart when they pee but not fart like you get you give out little toots yeah i've never actually farted full on

in front of you i don't think like a big big fart are you capable of that yes why don't you ever wait really i don't know but it hasn't overcome me like i can't really think of a time where i like held it in either but you also know that i don't care no i know you don't care i just really can't think still i'm still 10 years old i'll laugh no matter what oh same yeah but i think the first time that you did i remember you were in the bathroom you were peeing it was probably late at night you probably got up to go to the bathroom and you did it and i started dying laughing yeah room because it was just so it was just so nonchalant and it for it being the first time it was just really funny well and i don't care and every time i fart when i pee i go excuse

me yeah excuse me and it's just a funny shit it's like i think all women fart when they pee because you're just trying to like you're using all those muscles and just sounds like it you're it sounds Your butthole connects to your vagina at some point. Yeah. Or something. I don't know. It's like a fire hose. It's like you're putting all that pressure.

It's like. All that pressure. Like something's bound to happen. It is. Okay. Last question is must have played songs at the wedding. What would be your number one? My number one would be Teenage Dirtbag.

Okay. I was going to say One Week by Barenaked Ladies. Oh. I mean an all-star, obviously. All-star for sure. I mean, we are going to have the most unconventional wedding playlist. Sweet Caroline is a great one. I mean, that's a classic.

Basically, for our wedding playlist, I think all we want to do is like the top 50 karaoke songs that we have decided our own selves because I think the songs that we have discovered that are incredible karaoke songs are sometimes not the top played songs. No. Like Lump by the presidents of the United States of America. Yeah. Great song. great song great fantastic inside out by eve six oh my god does it get any better than that in a karaoke setting but like at our wedding because it's i want our wedding to just be a group karaoke but maybe set up a karaoke station or what if we just get eve six to play oh my god

that dude is spending all of his time on twitter he has all the time in the world you just had that one tune i don't know do you know any other eve six tunes i think he has said that there is another single but i don't remember what it is i gotta do a deep dive we could get him to play inside out i don't know if i want him to that's only one song then what it'd be so weird after that you hire him for the one song and then pay for his trip is that how hiring bands for things go i don't think so we'll offline about it we'll offline no i think that we want to just have like fun sing-alongs that we've also had so many experiences with our friends that certain songs are so important and have such memories tied to them so i think kind of curating all of that

together would be amazing it's gonna be like a big quilt of music i just want karaoke songs and emo songs oh listen i know you're here for it even better for me well you know what's really up is my emo playlist on spotify which i now had so many thousands of followers following it because it's amazing somebody hacked into it no somebody hacked into it and deleted all the songs and replace them with four random songs dude spotify if you're listening get your shit together get your shit together for whatever reason i've been hacked like 12 times on my spotify constantly and it's just playing like russian club bangers oh yeah and then i go to my i go to like my do i sound like an old man right now then i go to my like playlist like my liked playlist yeah it's

all just like straight up like russian anthems well mine like i started having a competition with whoever hacked into my playlist because we're trying to listen to music at the same time oh my god oh yeah and then you're fighting and then the song changes we're fighting and i'm like driving in the car trying to listen to arizona or something like that and then he turns on some rap song and then we're literally going back and forth trying to like get control of my spotify that i pay money for and then he changed all of my playlists and now it's basically this other guy's spotify account my god like why is it so easy to hack into a spotify we gotta get we gotta get him back we've got to get him back i gotta get him back i gotta switch my emo playlist back

to emo that'll get him yeah find out his well i'll find his info yeah find his info yeah um okay so emo and karaoke songs ideal place we'll all make well because i don't we don't need a dj because i don't know what djs do anymore so i'll just like we'll make a playlist for the wedding i had a dj at his wedding and he lit his whole thing on fire oh yeah oh yeah and someone was like i've seen this guy before he's about to light that thing on fire and he like lit it on fire we're like whoa no he definitely had a shtick for sure it was funny i mean maybe we could find like a hokey dj like that yeah that would be kind of fun i like that but the playlist is being made by yours truly because as a control freak about the things that i love i could never let somebody

else create a playlist for me you know what i want to do but i don't know if we want to talk about it yet what well i want to i instead of like a wedding performance like a band or something like if you're doing karaoke songs you just give people the platform to do karaoke that's what i'm saying yeah i want like a karaoke station are the stars you put them up there and you make it you make it a whole thing i love that you know what i'm saying that's so true that's what we'll do and our friend i mean our friends love karaoke it would be so fun but you do it on like a big like it would be like the focal like it'll be a thing and you could buy your own karaoke station how hard is it i oh i probably i probably have one somewhere yeah 50 bucks on amazon yeah see
