Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, the following podcast is a Lady Gang Network and Podcast One production, which means it's going to be awesome. It's time for a quickie. Podcast One presents the Lady Gang, the Hollywood girl posse with Lady Gang Quickie. Here's Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Let's make this quick. Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the quickie. To wiki.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Make it quick. Was that your orgasm? Is that how you are during sex? No. You wish. I'm way greater. Are you? Oh.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Greater. In what way? In all ways. Okay. You're an idiot. I did have the most insane orgasm of my life. Caused by? By yourself?
Starting point is 00:00:49 No, no, no. From my husband. Yes. What did he do? It was so insane. So we had, we took a bath. I mean, this is way too much information. I'm trying
Starting point is 00:00:58 2019 is the year of passion sell it girl you know what I mean did you wear red underwear over New Year's no I didn't I didn't wear any underwear I was in bed at 930
Starting point is 00:01:04 but we had a bath and then we're having sex in our mirror in our bedroom like watching ourselves pretty hot and then he was like wait
Starting point is 00:01:12 how are you both watching yourself it's not a mirror on the ceiling well don't sit on that ottoman anymore eww do you physically
Starting point is 00:01:21 watch yourself when you do that like you're like into that I'm into it I don't like watching I don't either I like watching
Starting point is 00:01:27 I don't even really like looking at myself with the guy, with my boyfriend. Like, I don't like looking in a mirror at, like, I don't like that. No, I don't either. I kind of like it. It's like your own porn, but you're making, it's a sex tape, but no one can ever record it. It's a one time, it's a show. It's a live show.
Starting point is 00:01:41 It's Amsterdam in my bedroom. So you're facing. Anyway, so then, then we went on the bed and we were, he was like going down with me and it was like so crazy. You know that feeling right before you have an orgasm and it sits in your brain? Do you have that? And it's like, and then it's like, oh. in like the release or whatever do you only have orgasms in your brain no no no but like i feel in
Starting point is 00:02:02 my brain and it was like in that like pre-orgasmic moment for like it felt like three hours like i was just like floating around like yeah the last before the release i remember yeah no i didn't faint it felt amazing and then it took me like 20 minutes to get up like i was like paralyzed by the orgasm i don't know oh my god maybe he went down on you after you had sex i feel like It was hot. It was hot, hot, hot. Did you have sex after that? No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Sex first and then a vibrator. Jesus. It's a whole production at the night. Wow, I'm proud of you. Thank you. Was this on a weekend? No. Thursday night.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Geez. Huh. Wow. A whole new Kelsey. New you. New me. Actually, not the new you because you're in the same jumpsuit. Which I, this is your intervention.
Starting point is 00:02:50 You have taken it off in weeks. I know you're trying not to buy new things for yourself this year. I'll buy you another one. I wore a different jumpsuit last week. You just didn't see me. It was black. How often do you wash these? I have not washed this yet.
Starting point is 00:03:03 You have to wash this. I know. Every time I wash it, I want to wear it. I mean, well, I put it in the wash, but the cleaning lady was scared to wash it. She knows how much it means to me. You have got to. She's like, she's going to miss this for the three hours I'm washing it. It's getting washed this Friday for sure.
Starting point is 00:03:17 This Friday? It's changed my life, you guys. Why not tonight? It's Thursday right now. Why don't you just throw it in? I'll throw it in tonight. Sure. Then I'll see you in it tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Oh, my God. My dad wore an overalls at work every day. You just need a couple more. It's a coverall. A coverall, yeah. But they wear them over clothing. I'm wearing underwear and a bra. Not same.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Your armpits are still making it smell in your vagina. I wonder what the armpits of that thing smell like. Oh, they are a little musty. No kidding. Be honest. How many times have you worn that? Since I got it? 20.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Exactly. 20 without a wash. I'm trying to conserve. Okay. Well, not too far. Okay. Well, anyway. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:00 It's gone too far. Well, cool. Yeah. Great start to this quickie. What's your sex? Build me up, take me down. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what we do.
Starting point is 00:04:08 That's what we do here. What's this quickie theme? Oh, this is a great quickie. Okay. It is called Friends, Hobbies, and Free Time. Okay. You don't do any of those things. I know.
Starting point is 00:04:21 When we come back, we're going to talk about it. So this is the episode called Friends, Hobbies, and Free Time. And the reason I called it that is because the other day we were all talking about, like, our friendships and what we do in our free time. And I realized how different we are. And we know that by our Instagrams. And I think there's many ways that we're very different that we've talked about. But I thought it would be fun to dig into, like, who our best friends are, what kind of friends, like, when we met them. and then also like our hobbies like what we would consider like our different things we're
Starting point is 00:04:54 interested in and then our free time okay like how you spend your exact free time because the truth is is like i think i have an idea for jack what she does with her spare time obviously i know what i do i have no idea what you do in your spare time so we're gonna talk about it neither do i okay it's gonna be amazing sit on the couch and then it's 10 hours later then i go to sleep okay so first let's talk about friends okay i feel like you could have had an another f word for hobbies so it could have been like a triple f friends free time and fun fun fun is not exactly fun is what you do you do a hobby for fun okay okay so you want to do you always just just make it you almost get it you want to do friends fun and free time yeah yeah okay that's good yeah
Starting point is 00:05:37 friends fun and free time cool okay let's talk about friends jack who's your best friend and Who's your longest friend? I'm not the type of person that has, like, a single best friend. Do you guys have one single best friend? No. I have – here's the thing with me and friends. I have maybe – Tell us.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Eight best friends, and then I have no other friends. That's me, exactly. None. Like, I know when I have a wedding, exactly – like, all of my friends that I invite could all be bridesmaids, but I probably won't have bridesmaids, and then I literally won't invite anybody else. That's how I did my wedding. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:12 And then me and Kelsey were also invited. I was like, well, I'm going to be working with them for a long time, so this could be awkward. They've got to be invited. Remember when we had that great wedding and you weren't invited? Okay, so wait. So who are the eight best friends? Afton, Anna, you guys both know.
Starting point is 00:06:27 My friend Kendra. I feel like listing the... It's two born, yeah. But how do you know them? Are they childhood friends? Different phases of your life? I have one best friend from high school. That's like my longtime best friend.
Starting point is 00:06:39 And then all the rest of my friends I met going to concerts. Wow. Wait, like how do you meet a friend? Like in the bathroom stall, can I borrow a tampon kind of friendship? No, like we'd be- In the same group. Both making out with somebody from the same band and then would bond over it. Oh.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Unreal. But that's like most of my friends I kind of met through that whole world. Yeah. So I don't have any friends from college anymore. But like what about childhood? Like grade one, grade two? I have two family best friends that I do like holidays with and ski trips with. And because your parents are best friends?
Starting point is 00:07:06 Yeah. It's like my mom's best friends' kids that are my age. Huh. And then that's it. and then everybody else can go f*** themselves cool Becca who are your best friends or like who are your friends
Starting point is 00:07:16 do you have your sister I'm the same with like yeah my sister obviously but I'm also the same where like throughout my life I've collected like one to two really good friends and then maintained those friendships
Starting point is 00:07:27 so like from 12 years old I had the two Katie and Tyler like my ones that I have the tattoo of that looks like f*** but it says tag it's our three middle names cool
Starting point is 00:07:38 so like those girls and then high school friends two of my really good high school friends new york friends from musical theater and then like la like really just it's like from probably from glee so and then that's it because la is almost impossible to make friends yeah as an adult yeah but i made like some of my best friends in that well that's like a pressure cooker yeah it's like you either love each other you hate each other when you leave and do you have friends that serve different purposes for you for sure like and so what are those purposes um oh i have some friends that i go to when i need advice because they're wiser than me some friends that i would never go to for advice
Starting point is 00:08:24 because i'm giving them advice some friends you go to for like a really fun time to have like not worry about life and just enjoy whatever some friends just to be super silly with see with some travel some really travel really well yeah a lot of people can't travel that's true it's true with my friends i i don't have like a i go to certain ones for certain things yeah because i can have a good time with all my friends i can ask most of them for advice and yeah they all kind of like fall i ask some for more advice than others yeah some i don't but What about you? I have the same best friend, Katie, that I've had since grade one.
Starting point is 00:09:08 And she's a twin. She's a twin brother. And so our life growing up was so cool because we were always over at Katie and Kevin's house. And it was like all the boys and all the girls were all together. She's a twin with a brother, brother-sister. That's a dangerous combo. That is a dangerous combo. Did you ever hook up with him?
Starting point is 00:09:24 The brother? Yeah. So this is such a great story. I mean in the day back in the day he was so cute you know but what was so funny about it was that just the other day I was talking to his wife because we're all still in the same circle and we really watch out for Katie and she'd gone through like a hard year and so we were like all in this text chain like let's support her like we got to love her up um and the wife was like it's so crazy that we're friends considering you were my husband's first kiss and I was like
Starting point is 00:09:52 what and so then we went down it and like apparently i was kevin that's the brother's first kiss in the mountain at the rock and ride in the west edmonton you describe your childhood activities literally sounds like you're in greece it's like the 1950s i know the rock and ride was like at i don't remember these things you don't i think it's part of being from a small town because it's like you have so few fun things festivities and like places this was the west edmonton mall and it was called oh god i think it's called fantasyland but they've since changed it and it had a roller coaster it was it was for kevin blowjob alley it sure was for kevin sixth grade you know what what anyway i didn't remember that i six grade blowjob no no no a kiss
Starting point is 00:10:42 oh i didn't remember that i was his first kiss or i don't know that i knew that information so anyway but it was really fun growing up and then when we were in all in high school katie's mom and dad split when they're in first grade and then it was really until she was you know we were in high school that her mom started dating again and she had met like i think the guy that she's now married to and so she was having sleepovers like out of the house all the time and so like katie kevin some boys some girls crazy time we will always party but her dad who had been kind of like in and out of her life her whole life would show up to like chaperone but he was like i just want to be cool no oh no he's like buying us booze like it was so crazy and we had this whole thing in
Starting point is 00:11:22 high school did this happen to you in your high school maybe we're too old we had a thing where like for a while the top-notch fashion of school was hawaiian shirts no did that happen to you no i don't think so like every guy was just wearing like cargo shorts or jeans and like a hawaiian shirt from the vintage store no no like real bros no it was just us yeah oh my god it's very tropical in canada so it's probably like this is something we'll never see sunlight ocean and happiness these palm trees what are these things i don't even recognize this fun anyway we had the best time growing up and so i stayed friends with her and we still like talk all the time and like i love her so what about the guy you have the journal with yes my
Starting point is 00:12:06 journal's here for um research i'm working on a project with it so i had are you writing a memoir finally finally um and so i can't tell you right now but anyway i um spaghetti and i my spaghetti his last name's gaddy and we call him spaghetti so we knew each other since we were five his sister alicia's my age and we all grew up in the same dancing school and then they switched dancing schools and we went with them but i was like really can you imagine this like super scrawny skinny when i was young and i was not a good dancer but i was really light so i always got to partner with Jeff because I was like such a scronva. Wait is Jeff younger? Jeff's older
Starting point is 00:12:42 so he's my brother's age. Anyway so then when we were in high school like Jeff and I got to be close we hang out he'd drive me we were like neighbors we grew up right down the street and then when we we both went to work on cruise ships is when we really started being like really close
Starting point is 00:12:58 Jeff's straight? Jeff is straight he's married he has a one year old baby almost Wait so he worked on cruise ships as well? Yeah as a dancer. With you? Not we're never on the same ship but we would like always and then we'd be like we're in nasa bahama and we'd like meet up it was so crazy anyway he's like the greatest because he cares zero percent about hollywood show business ego he is like even though he was a performer so he understands that sacrifice he never he doesn't
Starting point is 00:13:26 have a facebook page he doesn't have an instagram i couldn't tag him if i tried like i'll sit down and i'll be like woe is me it was so hard i have all these jobs and it's crazy and he's just like go f*** yourself he's like he's such a good leveler of anyway so we're so do you think he's in love with you no I don't I actually think is he hot no I mean no I mean someone married him so like obviously he's attractive enough that someone picked him I would never like in a million years um I don't think he's in love with me I think that it's actually the opposite I think that he knows me so well like you guys do where he's like oh god yeah he's like you know who I don't want to go on a vacation with? You. Are you f***ing crazy? You know what I mean? So it's
Starting point is 00:14:08 like a yin and a yang thing, but we were really close because we were both living in New York City and I used to stay at his house and he would always like... You never had romance? Never. Not even a kiss? Drunk? Never. Never. We slept in the same bed our whole adult life. Like I would sleep over at his house. It's because he's probably almost like a brother.
Starting point is 00:14:23 He's like a brother. Yeah. And like... I don't buy that. Really? The whole like a brother thing. But I think some of you have known your entire life. No? No. Give me a few drinks.
Starting point is 00:14:33 I could sleep with everyone I ever called my quote brother. No, he's too – When I was single. It's too gross. Anyway. What if you're not like attracted to them? Yeah, I'm not attracted to him. You're attracted to some part of him.
Starting point is 00:14:46 His like heart and soul and his tea drinking. Yeah, and I'm sorry. Women can f**k hearts and souls. I don't think I could. His tea drinking. Yeah, he had the best selection of teas. Anyway, I love him so much. And then like you guys, I like have different friends throughout.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Surprisingly, I'm really good friends with all the Knicks dancers. Still? Yeah, and I only danced on the Knicks for one season. I'm not friends with the Nets dancers like that. I'm not friends with the Rockettes like that. I have one friend from the Rockettes that I'm still friends with. But the Knicks girls, we travel in a pack of 14 at all times. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:18 That is weird. And you would think that we would hate each other because it's so competitive. But it's not. We're all best friends. That's nice. Okay, next. Fun. This would be also AKA known as hobbies.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Okay, name five of your hobbies, funds. This doesn't include... Wait, what's the last one? Free time. Free time. Okay, so... Don't you usually do your hobbies when you have free time? Yeah, those things kind of mesh.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Actually, no. No. Uh-uh. So like would painting be a hobby? I'm really sorry. That's a hobby. Well, let me think about this. You say yours first.
Starting point is 00:15:50 I'm sure you've prepared. No, I just talk too much. I'm sick of my own voice, Becca. Hobbies. Hobbies. Fun. Fun. Fun hobbies.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Tennis. Tennis. That's a hobby. That's a good one. Is yoga a hobby? Mm-hmm. Yoga. When you go to yoga, though, are you like, oh, I have to go work out?
Starting point is 00:16:08 Or are you like, I can't wait to go to yoga? Usually it's – I'm looking forward to it. Okay. Then I would consider that a fun. What else? I mean, I love going out to eat, like, dinner. Foodie. Foodie.
Starting point is 00:16:23 I love a good dinner. Exploring new restaurants, you could say. Maybe. Okay. Wow, you have three hobbies. Shopping. I don't feel as bad about myself. I sometimes enjoy shopping, like walking around.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Like if I'm in a city that's – if I'm in like a – not New York, it's too crazy. But if I'm in like Austin and there's a street with like shoppy shops and restaurants, like that's my favorite thing to do like when I'm traveling. That's what I was going to say. Would traveling be fun or a hobby? Free time. I think that's a free time. Okay, so mine would be doing crafts.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Maybe it should be downtime. Downtime. Yeah, because like... Oh, yeah, but that doesn't go with our F theme. Damn it. But like, what do you do when... Like when you're home? You're home and you have three hours.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Okay, that's good. Taking a bath is my free time, but I wouldn't consider bathing my hobby. But I kind of like that because... What do you do for fun and then what do you do at home alone? Yeah, at home alone. I like to craft things. I love a craft. I like to organize.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I like to bullet journal. I like to Pinterest. And I like home decor. And in my free time, bath, walks, do nature, reading, bullet journaling also. Oh, my God. I can't wait for this phase to end. It's so annoying. I want to have like a jar where she can put a dollar in it.
Starting point is 00:17:56 I do too. Ujo. Ujo. every time you wear that jumpsuit and every time you talk about we're helping you because this also annoys everyone else no it doesn't it does no not the k-types not the k-types but everybody else can you tell people what you did at the shoot we did on saturday when you walked in you're like i have an idea for a podcast let me just tell okay i don't even tell it and then let's have a vote okay so oh my god i just remembered it backstory kelty if i ask her if she has time to jump on the
Starting point is 00:18:30 phone for three minutes it's like i don't have time in my schedule that's not true what happened today no no you're like do you have five minutes to talk and i was like sure it's an exact i said three minutes because i know you it's an exaggeration but like mean exaggeration from my fun, non-fun time friends. Yes. So Kelty will be like, we can't fit one more thing. Like, we have to really position things the right way to
Starting point is 00:18:55 get to add, like, anything. It's true. You know, we're talking about going on tour this summer and it's like, we really have to be careful with how we, like, use our time. And how we present it. Work smarter, not harder. How we present it to Kelty is very fragile. Fragile.
Starting point is 00:19:11 So, if you don't acknowledge every Every three minutes that she has six jobs. I get upset. She gets upset. Yeah. So here's – that's the back story. So far, everything Becca's told you is true. True.
Starting point is 00:19:21 So you guys, you know this about Kelty. So we started our own podcast network, which is super exciting. And we have, like, some really great talented people that are going to be doing their podcast. And, like, we're going to be helping and blah, blah, blah. And it's a little bit of extra work, but, like, worth it because we can't bring you five podcasts a week. Cannot. I have six jobs. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:43 I can't talk anymore. Kelty walks in on Saturday, a day we're shooting something, a little extra, and she's like, guys, I had the best idea for a podcast. And I was like, okay, tell me. She's like, what if I do a weekly podcast called K-Type? And I'm like, two things I'm upset with right now, very much, very much. A, you are not doing another podcast. you don't have time
Starting point is 00:20:13 to poop and B what the hell is K-type is it like oh wait did she explain this yeah she did
Starting point is 00:20:20 she's like I must have just tuned you out yeah she goes cause it's like A-type A-type personality but since I'm a Kelty
Starting point is 00:20:28 and I'm an A-type it's gonna be called K-type and it's for all the girls out there who are just like me and I was like I wanna die
Starting point is 00:20:36 I'm not gonna lie though that would do really well for the podcast honestly if she didn't have six jobs already I'd be like follow your heart I actually think like I would never listen to it but somebody that is
Starting point is 00:20:47 bullet journaling and wants to do things like so perfectly yeah they would love it I know I'm thinking I'm still racking this around my brain like as a 12 episode series where it has like a beginning and an end no I think you could do it if you were doing it yourself and you could do it like 30
Starting point is 00:21:03 minute episodes I don't need a guest and then do them all in one day and then just come out over 12 weeks yeah 100% I mean I support it As long as you put them on the Lady Gang Network that we can get a cut of. Let's see. On behalf of the Lady Gang Network, we will accept your proposal. Yeah, thank you. If you come up with something.
Starting point is 00:21:18 And we don't have to do the work, but we can reap the benefits. Yeah. That's how I like this. I don't want to help you like we're helping any of the other podcasts. Okay, perfect. Make your own logo. All right. Well, on that note, we're not going to be friends, fun, or free time much longer.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Why? Because we're having a fight. Is this a fight? No, this is the end. It's over. Okay. Well, we weren't here for a long time. We were here for a good time.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Bye, guys. Thank you for listening. Tell me what you think of K-Type. Bye. Hey, guys. Thanks so much for listening to The Lady Gang.
