will be useless jack has this whole thing where she's not allowing herself to like really technically count this so yeah it's only for legal purposes yeah so i think we need to start off with the fact that because we obviously just did get legally married jared has taken it upon him to call me wife like any opportunity any opportunity that you get probably every five minutes you call me wife yeah well you i think i think you have to get used to it like i think it's like you go from saying fiance which was weird too when we started saying fiance yeah um and it took me a minute to be like well pretty much by the end of the drive home from santa barbara i was like i'm good i got this you're like wife sounds perfect yeah yeah but like husband

is such a number one husband is harder to say than wife it's got two syllables it doesn't like flow off the tongue like wife does so it feels very uncomfortable and unnatural to say husband does it yeah yeah i think so it seems that way i don't say it very i've only said it like twice yeah it's definitely weird but um well i wanted to start from the beginning we have two things to recap today okay we have the bachelor party and then we have the courthouse wedding okay so we're going to start with the bachelor party i'm sure if anybody follows me on social media i know i'm annoying posting on social media i know you don't have to tell me it's cringy it's whatever we all know but if you follow me you know that we obviously had our bachelor party in vegas it

was a joint bachelor bachelorette party which by the way highly recommend what did you think of the jointness of the bachelor party i was nervous going in because yeah because i feel like it's like um well it's going to be like how the wedding is when you have like two families and you get them together it's like we have yeah kind of two sets of friends like my friends back in arizona and my friends just from like touring and stuff and then all of our friends out here your friends who then became my friends right um i was nervous because you don't you just don't know if you're gonna be like mixing oil and water or what's going on and everybody got along great and it was it ended up being like really awesome so i mean we had texts from both groups of our friends being

like oh my god jared's friends are so awesome and your friends be like oh all jack's friends were so great like we really blended together so well so many of our friends have kind of overlapped because a bunch of my friends have been to your shows and know your band and all that kind of stuff so yeah and well and we did a good job of like like i would peel off and we would go do like guy shit yeah in the desert and then we'd come back and then meet up and then it'd be like a pool day or like yeah we'll go we'll go through it we weren't gonna go with you guys to magic mike oh yeah obviously i wanted to well it was funny because i was nervous going into it too because when i posted that we were doing a joint bachelor party i had so many messages being

like bad idea this is gonna crash and burn oh really it's too much to take on well this i remember one dm i don't remember who it's from sorry if you're listening but she was telling me how she either it was hers or she went to one and she was like the problem was they didn't plan anything really so it was just kind of just once you have that many people and you don't plan anything like shit's gonna go awry right well you see you planned a lot yeah and so if it was two of me if like if i was getting married to myself no nothing would have been you literally only planned something because you felt jealous that i had so many plans right i was like shit i have to well because when you said so when i got really panicky was when you said you were

doing magic mike because like well i know i'm not gonna bring the boys to that yeah obviously so like invited but i also i don't want to do like a strip club thing i just like it's i don't it's too on the nose i'm just not i'm not there like yeah it's not it's not really my thing in my like mid-30s like maybe if i was like way way younger it would have been i would have had fun doing it yeah um so then i started panicking because i was like what are we gonna do and so what we ended up on like Fremont Street yeah Fremont and it was awesome it was so fun it was like old like smoky casinos and we I sat on the roulette table forever and just like lost a bunch of money it was so much fun yeah no I guess I didn't need a plan that night I don't know you really didn't I was

stressing it though I do feel like we planned I all write my itinerary out because I do think it was honestly amazing and I think it would be if anybody wants to copy it because it's super simple we we ended up getting there on friday in the morning we stayed at the virgin hotel which is our favorite hotel in vegas we stay there all the time because virgin's the move it's the move because you're like you're away from everything enough but you're also close like we literally walked to the strip that that one night yeah well we begrudgingly we walked it sucks but you can do it yeah it's like a 20 minute walk to the stores this little bit jesus okay i don't know to the strip um but it's great because it still has like all the gambling and stuff so like you're in vegas

but you're it's nice and there's this restaurant cassie there that we're obsessed with and we went to literally every single day there's a nobu in it too and a nobu yeah and a pizza place um we started on friday everybody just kind of got in and then we all met up at this place called beer park and played a little bit of the pizza box game and drinks what'd you learn what what did you learn playing the pizza box game at beer park well there's such thing as too many people playing the pizza box game do you want to explain what the pizza box game is yeah i will explain it it's you still need a visual for the pizza box game i think but pizza box game i've talked about a million times and i kind of like that it has a little mystery to it and i get messages all the

time that's like what is this why are you guys always so excited playing the pizza box game so you don't want to explain it i'll explain it i'll explain the summary of it so the pizza box game is you get a pizza box or a big piece of cardboard or like we were playing with our massive giant cutouts of our head oh yeah we played on the back of them yeah you need a game board you need a surface that you can draw on so you need three things a surface a coin and a pen and basically all you do is you flip a coin where the coin lands you draw a little circle around your name write your name down everybody does that and then once everybody has their name on the board then you flip again and if it lands on a open spot you write a rule it's basically playing

king's cup but like on a board you're basically it's like um it's kind of like monopoly like everyone's got their own little territories all over the board yeah and then like yeah but i don't know how in detail you want to get it's very fun but what we learned is when you have 24 people it's nearly impossible well you have to it's people have to be somewhat fixated on what you're doing yeah you gotta be fixated well i think that that's just like the general uh lesson that we've learned from a lot of trips that we've done is there is a such thing as too many people because then it's hard to get anybody to do anything yeah but we did a good job in vegas but anyways we played pete's box then we went to magic mike it was so much fun you guys went and gambled on

fremont street and that was basically our friday night it was pretty easy it was you know my two backup options well actually they were before we ended up on fremont i was gonna one was going to see chris angel which i would have been so jealous if you saw the love of my life well chris angel without me i've heard from so many people that it's like the worst show in the world oh yeah it has horrible reviews i was like oh we're doing that but you know that i love chris angel yeah you know i read his autobiography i do that's and i was obsessed with him that's your thing so i was so hot what the so i was like oh well maybe we'll do that and then i started to like kind of test the water like with everybody well i'm sure tickets to that are still 100

and they were all sold out what yeah everything was sold out who was like physically couldn't go oh my god yeah so then it was uh an escape room and then that that fizzled out too escape room is like we're not on a corporate you also can't play an escape room with like 20 people i know well i was literally like doing everything i could to like avoid the strip club i was like i don't want to do it i don't want to do it like should we uh go to church instead of friday night mass church anything but the strip club yeah okay so anyways then we wake up on saturday everybody's hung over girls go to brunch at cassie again or we also went to cassie the first day brunch at cassie they hooked us up they were amazing and then we all met up went to the pool

had a little pool day i had like 500 apparel spritzes and then then the best part of the trip happened what first of all well the strip of vegas was closed for the stanley cup or something yeah so vegas won the the cup yeah they won the cup so they they have a big parade for the team in their home city yeah and we didn't know but it was that night all the streets of vegas were closed so we had to walk from virgin hotel to the strip which was fine it was it was a walk we almost got run over by a car remember that you almost got i almost got because you wiped we're doing the thing you do where you're just kind of like i know you're like on the street corner and i'm like oh hey she's waving wavering around like three feet off the curb like standing

on the asphalt and i was like that's a weird place to stand and then right as soon as i thought that this car almost got hit by another car and whipped around the corner and like fishtailed yeah came within like a foot or two of you yeah it was spooky so don't do that stand on the sidewalk i'll try my best where people stand anyways we were walking to the taco bell cantina which is where i wanted to get married i know i think somebody was getting married when we were there yeah um it was awesome it was great it was amazing i mean it was like a long walk and then you're like everyone's kind of hot and like tired yeah and then because it was like the whole day before that yeah and then they had those slushies yeah like a baja blast

slushy they had a yard like a yard long three feet long baja blast baja blast slushy that our friend Courtney just was like I'm getting this yeah um it was actually the perfect thing to do because again we had like 24 people we're not gonna go sit down to have dinner no this was so easy to go and get cheap ass Taco Bell carbo load before the rest of the night awesome it was amazing so we did that and then we did the best part of the night karaoke oh god now I was nervous to see how this was gonna happen we went to this place called camu they are amazing you have to go there if you're in vegas and you love karaoke they're at the venetian and they have all of these private room karaoke you can get a small room for like four people or you can get our room

which fit 40 people their operation was crazy like unreal all the hallways are like these big mirrored hallways and the room that we were in was so massive it was huge we had four mics we had four wireless karaoke mics which this is something because we might want to do karaoke at our wedding like the four mic is clutch for karaoke one mic is not enough one mic is not enough if you're with your friends like in a like we're like it's like a front facing karaoke yeah if you're at a karaoke bar yeah only one because yeah then it gets too crazy so we started it off again we had to walk from taco bell now to this karaoke place another 35 minute walk so by the time we got there everybody was just like like exhausted you don't think about this on the strip but like you're not

just you can't just like walk yeah like there there are places especially like they're doing some construction where you have to go up and over like the walkway and then back down and then over and then back over so it ended up taking us like close to an hour to get over to the karaoke spot yeah and then i was stressing out when we got there i felt bad for making everybody walk so the vibe started off it was fine but jared thrust me into singing karaoke first and i was so flustered that i was so uncomfortable but i'm like i'm gonna do it anyways and it was obviously smash mouth all-star i think i did okay at best i was gonna make you do one week by bare naked ladies no well yeah i mean that's my goal for our wedding is to memorize all the lyrics to one week

but i actually think it's humanly impossible um it's possible because the singer of that band has to do it live i wonder if he does do it live though of course he does i mean i wonder if he it up that's his bread and butter i know i mean it's the biggest anyways that bought him his tennis court like he's gotta sing that shit i mean it's a fantastic song yeah so i started off with that and then what really thrust us into like karaoke gold is jared picked freak on a leash for our friend kendra oh dude and i have never seen such a cinematic performance before well here's the thing is kendra we have like this thing going where when we are doing carry it's so funny that we've done this multiple times and it's become a thing but when we go to karaoke

she picks down with the sickness by disturbed for you for me yeah and i don't like that no because it's not fun to sing and the bridge is super disturbing the lyrics are like super dark and dark um literally when it gets to the bridge i'm standing on stage just going i'm not going to say this uh pass pass yeah you know so she did that to me and i was pissed and i was like i i'm gonna get you back yeah and i just chose freak on a leash because i was like she's gonna have to do the bridge in this song yeah which if you don't know what the bridge and freaking a leash is yeah it's just gibberish and like crazy shit so she killed it and then i think that kind of like brought up the vibe because everybody was so tired yeah well then also they brought in a couple

bottles of booze and that also brought i was like everybody needs to take a shot right now like we need like a little liquid courage going on yeah and then the party just like went crazy yeah so many good karaoke songs what we really discovered that night is if you want to sing a karaoke song and get the place pop in you need to sing ymca ymca 100 i have never seen so many people out of their seats dancing around like that was the biggest bop i think that i've ever seen i put it on thinking like well because you guys had just we did a song for the gals so we had all the girls were on the mics doing do you remember what it was right before that and i was like we need one for the boys yeah so i put on ymca and i didn't realize that it was going to be

everybody just losing their shit yeah we have to have a video of it somewhere we'll see if we can oh we do i found it was it's so funny like everybody was dancing it was so funny that's a great karaoke song just a like a real like silent like creeper like i've never thought about karaoke before dude and then what we decided the other day that also is a good karaoke song is the macarena is it though yes because you said it was and i disagree because because the macarena is more about dance moves yeah but then you can get the crowd up and like they're dancing it gets the crowd moving i think it would be a crowd pleaser i disagree we'll see at our wedding i'm gonna do it i've written it now into my karaoke notes but anyways the rest of the night

i mean we our friend group is really good at doing 90s radio rock karaoke that's like our bread and butter so which is like a live like public setting it's not the best yeah people are like it's either like you're with gen z and they're like i don't know what it is like you're flagpole sitter yeah yeah they know who harvey danger is so it's like and i'm sure a lot of people listening have no idea what we're talking about too so that was great and then the the last thing that i'll say about karaoke that was amazing is our friend courtney got up there and saying black butterflies and deja vu which is the biggest main song to everybody in the main yeah we had the whole band in the room and there's god we have a video of that too it's so kennedy our guitar

player is sitting there like he's kind of like i think he's invested but he was i think he's like on his phone or something yeah and then it goes to john our singer and he's like mouthing the words no he's mouthing something else he's mouthing the wrong lyrics i'm like it looks like john doesn't know the lyrics of his own song classic john right there because he's not talking to anybody he's like looking at courtney singing but like it's not the right words yeah and then the camera pans over and it's me and i'm filming courtney like i'm the mom from mean girls yeah like with the camcorder yeah you're like bill vanik yeah i was so excited it was so funny so good god she was auditioning she wants to come up this summer yeah you always bring someone up in

the in like the end of the song yeah have them sing and she was like this is my audition but i'm gonna do it in front of the whole band yeah it was great so she did she knows she's there to replace you guys yeah or replace john if he ever needs to be booted it's possible for any reason um and then we woke up sunday and i had my one last surprise for jared which was i made jerry gang shirts for everybody and i made jerry gang bracelets i mean everybody has seen my bachelorette gift bags epic i'm wearing my viva los fanic sweatshirt right now but i made jerry gang shirts and i got red wigs for everybody to surprise jared on the last day i uh i remember that moment because i always think about this it's like i don't know what

face to make when someone surprises me with something i've noticed that like you're not great at receiving surprises i i don't know what to do i'm like i'm surprised but i don't know like i'm processing you definitely don't you don't you aren't excited i know but you also like have a camera on me the whole time too but you have to have a reaction you gotta you gotta get those i was so excited that everybody was doing this it's just that i was like i was processing yeah you kind of go kind of like you kind of go blank yeah from the surprises that i've given you you go blank I get overwhelmed yeah and it's like I'm like hello yeah yeah no it's listen it's tough because it's like I'm so like grateful in the moment yeah it's so awesome that it's happening

but I'm also like trying to process and like take it all in yeah and so that part is a little like yeah I feel like it comes across as though I'm like not appreciative which sucks yeah and I don't want that to be the case but I was excited thanks for telling me now you're welcome no I knew you were excited it was really fun it was a it was the perfect thing to do on the last day where everybody was hungover people were leaving and it was just like a little little spoof and goof did you notice that when we were at because we went to cassie again yeah while we were down there and everyone had the wigs on this guy came up to me and was like are they making fun of you or what's going on here and i was like yeah dude i'm hanging out with a bunch of people who are just

and let you guys, you know, know a little bit more about was our courthouse wedding so barbara so uh mistake number one that was made is we had our bachelor bachelor party on one weekend and then five days later we went and had our courthouse wedding yeah now if anybody out there knows once you get into your mid-30s your hangovers last many days let's be clear about this what this is a you thing no do you think this is a multiple people have like five day hangovers yes really especially women i would like to know any anybody listening out there like let me know if your hangovers in your 30s last more than one day that would be insane if i only had a one day hangover after a bender like vegas i mean we drank for three days

straight it took me by the time we got home from vegas on sunday night and then we left for the courthouse on thursday i was still not feeling okay that's crazy yeah that really is crazy and i had anxiety because jared just he had left and gone to arizona because he had to practice so we had so our santa barbara courthouse wedding was in the it ended up being in the middle of a rehearsal that we had to do yeah so we had like we had planned to do like 10 days or like eight days of rehearsal before the summer tour yeah and it had to go before and after that the wedding because i had it blocked off so what i had to do was leave vegas and then the very next morning at like 9 a.m i'm standing in our like rehearsal room right next to pat symbols and he's just like slamming

on his drum set yeah i'm standing there just like just my head is like i feel like it's swelling like a balloon yeah i was so hung over i can't imagine you i literally did nothing on that monday i was like i am actually dying my heart is pounding i have like so much anxiety i could just go through the roof like it was bad yeah but all things considered like i i feel like having the back-to-back one weekend bachelor party was a horrible idea i don't think that's the move no well we thought that we also thought the courthouse was going to be way more like low key too it ended up being like a full production well it was i mean yeah i mean we can get into that so we went to the santa barbara courthouse obviously if you follow me on instagram you know

oh no shit and highly recommend it was gorgeous yeah that place is literally so pitch picturesque it's so beautiful and if you're thinking about either doing a courthouse wedding and that's it or if you need to get legally married like we did because we're getting married in france and you can't legally get married out of the country yeah um it was so nice i mean i just like to have a moment like with anything so i was like okay well we're gonna make this a little thing and it can be just for us it was super intimate it was just our parents and then alexis and matt and afton like that's there was eight of us total i think and your and your sister yeah um but yeah the whole thing about the courthouse is it's very confusing when you sign up for the courthouse

the whole process and now that we're past it like looking back it's not that crazy i just i didn't read it when you were doing it so you looked at like the appointments and yeah they offer two things one is you already have your license elsewhere in the state and you're just coming for the ceremony yeah have it be official the second option is you can go to the courthouse and they will issue your license to you there in the same appointment and then they'll do the ceremony right after right and that's what we had booked right but i didn't i didn't realize but when i booked it i thought the two differences were one you just signed the papers or two you have a ceremony so i was like oh we're just going and signing the paper like we don't need a

ceremony we're gonna do one later yeah so then when we go into the little room that's what we thought we were doing and we're just kind of sitting there and the guy's like looking at our paperwork and then he's like oh okay like this let me look this over um i'll meet you outside for your ceremony and we're like huh yeah well i thought we were getting married in those chairs i thought it was like because a lot of courthouse things yeah you just go up and you get married at the window and like you so i'm i'm like trying to turn myself in my chair to be like where's the camera at because i knew you wanted a photo probably yeah well we had the photographer there yeah and we're like oh well if this is it we just gotta we gotta like make her by it was

like fixing my dress i was like well we gotta have the moment just of when we signed the papers because it's like obviously you want that for the mems but like yeah the clerk was probably like what are you guys doing no i'm sure that people have done worse there it is it's very like um it feels chaotic when you're in the moment because everything because you don't know what you're doing yeah and then it's like oh my god wait this is the last moment yeah and it's almost anticlimactic because when you think of any other wedding and obviously it's the big moment of the bride walking down the aisle and the whole big charade with all the people and it's like it's very anticlimactic when you're just sitting there and you're kind of just waiting for him to just

double check your addresses to make sure they're correct um one thing i will say is it was if that was how it was going to go or not i was just happy because that courthouse is so cool looking so beautiful it's so beautiful there and it's so much different than like in my mind i had always pictured like if you're doing the courthouse thing but it would be like um where we got the license at so we got the license in norwalk california if you're from california norwalk is not santa barbara no it's different the vibe is different um just a government building which is super sterile and like very like yeah what what i expected and so i was really happy when we got to santa barbara i was like this is so cool yeah so anyways we went

outside um the clerk just threw on what looked like a graduation robe over his polo t-shirt yes and then he walked us out and he's like okay legally we can do one of two locations one is either in front of this shady door that's like a dark brown door he's like or two is out in this the beautiful lawn well don't forget the door when he pointed at it there was a couple sitting on the steps in front of it eating like taco bell yeah they were eating like wendy's or something like yeah because obviously the courthouse is open to the public yeah people there we're like let's uh not disturb them we'll just go out like i think i'll choose the yard or the lawn or whatever so anyways then he stands there and he like reads his little lines and it was so chaotic

going over there too because we he was just like okay here it is we're gonna begin and our families are like where do we stand and so everybody was just like chaotically trying to like make a half circle and so the photographer could get like a pretty shot and it was like a whole thing yeah but like i said it all moves so quickly especially if you don't know what you're getting yourself into yeah and so as soon as like he got out there i was like okay now we're on his time yeah you know this is like i didn't want to bug him i know i was like i didn't know what we're doing i was like whatever is easiest i was like we could just don't worry i know you have another appointment at 1 30 which sucks that like yeah i kind of defaulted to that mindset too and it's

like in the moment i just i was just trying to be like yeah okay there's you yeah i'm right here this is what we're doing it's happening yeah and i was thinking about like where's our family gonna stand like all that stuff well it's funny because my family ended up standing behind me which you're supposed to i think obviously do the opposite so you can like see your daughter basically so i don't know oh that's i mean i think that's what you usually i'm just saying i wouldn't know yeah yeah so i was bummed because it looked like the only person that took a video was matt alexis's boyfriend yeah and it was just of jared's face and i'm like i can't even see my dress in this like oh my god until we got the videos from bill vanik oh my god bill m v p bill vanik saved

the day he was so funny so if you don't know i'm obviously an only child my parents are obsessed with me my dad i'm obviously an only child my dad has videotaped my entire life and it was no exception at our wedding like my dad got out of where he was supposed to be standing got his phone out and he was literally like up right next to the the little clerk guy and ended up getting like the best video yeah and i remember when he was circling the whole thing i in my head i'm like bill what are you doing what is he doing and you even said it in the thing you're like dad get out of here the guy's literally like dear jacqueline do you plan to blah blah and i'm like dad get out of the way because he was like literally right now he goes and crosses through the front of

everybody and then goes behind and is basically standing next to the clerk yeah and it was just like to be fair had he not done that we wouldn't have gotten a good we wouldn't have gotten anything any usable like footage no anything it's um i mean no hate on matt's video but it's just it was only from one angle your dad literally was like up in the shit he's like i'm doing a 360 yeah i'm i'm going on cinematic yeah like it literally looked like it was out of a movie he saved the day but that doesn't surprise me and then like every other photo or video that we're trying to take my dad's little head is just bobbling around getting in front of everything but still getting like the best pictures ever yeah he's just so cute that's so funny dude he really and then I

think for our wedding Jared has convinced him to get a one of those 360 cams those 360 cams are amazing yeah just because I'm thinking if we're gonna have the long table at dinner yeah you just run down the table with it and it's like such a cool shot so the 360 cam films 360 obviously have you seen the tiktoks where the people put them in their mouths yeah and their head looks like a big a big ball it looks like a big like you know it's like a giant bulby like alien head yeah um but they they film both sides of the device and then whatever it gets it gets super technical but it's like this you can pick whatever angle you want yeah but we're saying he needs a bill cam for the wedding put on a helmet i know put a helmet on your dad with the 360 cam i mean

you know he's gonna hold it like while they're walking me down the aisle oh my god which i'm into i just think it's like he has to just lean into it and embrace the bill vanik you know like he's gonna you could tell him we have an amazing videographer we have an amazing photographer and he could not help himself yeah like he has to go and take all the photos and all the videos that he can well there's no rules no no every once i know i don't care i don't care what that's the thing it's like when we started planning this wedding in the first place we were like we just wanted it to be fun yeah like yeah the setting is gonna be cool it's gonna be france but i don't give a shit what people do like just come and have fun like there's no rules yeah we're

not stuffy people no no no um i mean i think that's it that's it did we get through all of our you know we i i wanted to do this because we had done an episode after our engagement when it was like fresh off i was still like mid panic attack i think talk about a panic attack that lasted like four weeks i know that anxiety lasted for a long time but your mom had actually recommended to you after we had like the courthouse she's like you guys should start a journal like write down your feelings because it's like obviously your memories fade and you really want to remember how you're feeling in the moment good advice it was really good advice but and then i was thinking about i'm like that is we should do that yeah and i was like wait we have a podcast

yeah and what's better than actually talking to each other and having a conversation about such an important part of our life that we can go back and listen to and make all these people listen to it too some people are interested i'm just kidding and a lot of people have probably turned this off by now but that's okay it's for us yeah yeah this is a selfish episode it is a selfish episode no no no well thanks for um you know following our journey in our little love story yeah because we're having fun doing it i'm sure uh this is the last of the content that you're gonna see of it too so after this no more content this is it i think jack's all done after this episode we're done posting about it yeah i'm not gonna post about the wedding all right well
