hello hello hello welcome to lady and quickie i'm back here with jack and kelty hello hello everyone we're so excited to be here today oh i thought you had more no that's it i'm so excited i actually um i have something planned for us today but i before we start i need to get a wedding dress update from jack because you know we're trying not to chat as much so that we can just chat on the podcast and i know that i sent you like a thousand new wedding dress ideas and you didn't respond and so just before we get into today's episode like what is going on with this wedding dress search and i do believe you need a slit oh my god well i finally went through them because you did send them at a very strange

hour that i kind of just like went into the you know the black hole of my inbox yeah but there was one dress on there that you tagged me in that was like super and floofy and huge that I was a colored. Yeah. But I don't, I don't want that. No, but like the floofiness. Um, okay. My wedding dress update is none. Um, the dress that I had sent to you guys that I thought was like the one I went and I retried it on and the changes that I would have to make to make it the dress that i wanted were far too many that um wasn't worth it so we're kind of back at square one um i'm still i'm going back that dress was at loho bride which is where becca got her dress from and they're amazing they have like the funkiest dresses i think that you can find in la which is

what i'm looking for like something very untraditional and they have one designer that's coming in in uh like a week called hermione de paula or something that does very cool applique and embroidery and weird feathery and stuff like that so i'm really hoping that's my gal um because i needed to pick a dress like three weeks ago for it to get there in time so i'm kind of but fingers crossed oh i don't know i'm nervous i'm nervous too i don't think you're ever gonna pick a dress i i know i think this is so hard wait can you show becca on the screen the one that i the floof well i like what i really i want like something dramatic like i want like a big yeah big dramatic skirt like that's what i'm really looking for um and it doesn't you almost

need a red carpet dress other than not a red wedding dress i know well i went to go try dresses on at monique monique lulier lulier lulier yeah um and there was this hot pink like feathered dress that i tried on that was obviously one of the red carpet dresses that i'm like this is i'm feeling this vibe a lot but then the top i didn't like it was a whole thing i'm too picky guys it's gonna be really hard for you yeah i think that more than anything maybe there needs to be a therapeutic component component to this because i agree actually i agree i get fixated on certain things the solution is not to dive in deeper to find the thing or to fix the thing it's actually internal work so i think that there has to be some kind of i don't know

jack vanek version of therapy to be okay with just the expectations lowering slightly and knowing that you're going to have an amazing night no matter what you're wearing no for sure and that the perfect dress does not exist and just come to terms with the fact that on the day there's going to be something in your mind of something that you wish you had been wearing and how to, um, remedy or come to, um, at peace. So find some peace there. Yeah. I mean, it's not, I'm not really stressed about it, which is kind of weird because I should probably more be more stressed than I am. Um, but I also like enjoy, like I enjoy this process. I'm not like, it's not like daunting to me. I think it's so fun to try on all the dresses and stuff. Um, but I'll

get to a point of acceptance hate you oh for sure but it's not even about that it's like it's it's now if there was no time limit i'd be like go flourish do whatever the you want to do but i know how stressful the end months get the months leading up to yeah get and i just don't want this fun time to turn into a hard time and you're wearing a slip dress that you borrowed from your friend kelty you know what i mean i know we cannot have that happen well there is this there's this other dress that is like i think is the it is it fits me is the perfect dress it's everything that i'm looking for it is far too expensive so i'm like trying it's like if i could find that somewhere else did you look on like the used wedding dresses.com

like sometimes people buy them and then sell yeah we talked about she found a girl but she didn't write you back right you dm'd her oh the one that had the dress that I loved that was $35,000 is this a different one yeah this is uh like a normal designer but I don't know to justify the means this is the dress I'm showing back it's very poofy and floofy oh yeah it's like um it it looks like like a Met Gala dress a Met Gala dress but it's too much stress that's like yeah it's too much but like i like that's a fun drama of it yeah i want some drama i also think you should have a couple dresses because you're not going to get everything you want in one dress so you need to have the bustier of like one and then the okay well i tried on this very at loho

there's it's just this very simple satin uh strapless very simple that i think might look the best on me of any dress that i've tried that i want to try to incorporate in but it's like i wouldn't be happy if that's all i wore because i want like some shit going on could you do that for the rehearsal dinner i think i might i love it kelty what are our travel plans uh did you already ask off work because i'm not going to be dealing with your your um drama on jack's wedding week you know what uh as soon as i receive a save the date or an email i will you know the date

it's not happening it's the deposit is down the deposit's down yeah you're right we should book our flights i'm gonna book mine on points so we should book them now okay and then are we doing like a couple's retreat wait i feel like we should no come with me i mean we're like bopping around not a jet i just mean in general we want to go to like the french riviera afterwards and do like that'd be nice fun bopping around down there if you guys are interested you know well i was thinking about the before oh oh but maybe not i don't know okay we can discuss but yeah we got to figure that out offline okay yeah yeah yeah i mean we won't be a number it's business class i'll first class i'll tell you that right now no be back in back in the coach hey okay i

don't even know what city is closest to this wedding is it paris paris and geneva dijon is like the closest like big city that's where you like train into but paris is like you go to paris and then you train to dijon and then we drive and then you train to mother it's like a two hour and 45 minute train from paris it's not bad and then you like are 10 minutes away and then we'll have like shuttles coming to grab people it's not that bad kelty's face i'm excited because if you're wearing a huge dress then that means we get to dress which is yeah you know what i mean hell yeah we're doing a formal colorful is that what it was colorful formal okay cool yes okay all right i'm sorry that we needed that we needed the dress update when we come back we're gonna actually do

my guilt when i hit a vape the next day oh wait what i mean that the vape would be the guilt yeah but i don't feel it then it's the day after the guilt from the day after i was thinking more guilty pleasure okay oh i what do you have guilt from right my i don't know i didn't make it up my guilt just says yeah i feel like when do you feel good you're like oh i was that like what is it about the vape is it that your lungs are blackening but it's definitely horrible for you and killing you so then i'm like god damn do you own a vape are you just vaping off other people's vape occasionally if i know there's like a gonna be a wild night out i really to make sure i don't smoke a real cigarette. Sometimes a vape is good, but then I'm finding that it's just too

accessible. So you might as well just smoke the one cigarette as opposed to taking 400 pulls of like a strawberry vape. I was actually thinking about that, that maybe that is a better option option. Cause then it smells like shit. I don't know. And you also have probably way more guilt with the cigarette. So you wouldn't go crazy. You wouldn't do it as often because it's a lot, it's a lot more in your face and stinky than a vape. I need someone to give us really really really good research on vape you know on vape well vaping i also think like anything that's like strawberry like you just went through your medical kit and got rid of anything that had like fakeness in it so it wouldn't fuck up your hormones and your aging and you're like natural

beauty only clean beauty and then you're like and now i'm gonna suck in a strawberry i know that doesn't come from strawberries because you've got to clean up some stuff to be able to mess up other you know what i mean it's like you play for the tie it's balanced you play for the tie play for the tie okay my guilt vegetables my greatest virtue not eating the vegetables okay like it's like i go i buy the kale salad it sits in there i make a french fry i don't eat it i throw it out my greatest virtue yeah what does that even mean i don't know like a good quality like a quality yeah yeah like okay you're loyal or you're um um this one's the hardest one uh virtue good friend would that work yeah yeah well say it again without a question

mark at the end and it will work i feel like i'm a really good friend um Um, I think that I, um, and I have empathy. I think that I, Kelty just rolled her eyes. No, no, no, no. I didn't roll my eyes. I looked at Kelly. Yeah. I mean, I think I, I innately, I want to be kind.

And I mostly am. That's good virtue. Not in a general sense. Like I'll chew your ass out like over the podcast as I'm talking about an encounter. But if I'm face to face with you, like I'm going to be kind. I love it. My greatest virtue is I'm a great saleswoman. Yeah, it's true.

like when am i ever gonna be like everything's good right now but i do i have gone to therapy like when i did my first therapy of 2023 and i think it was just because i got back from vacation I was feeling great. I was like, no, everything's good right now. Like I'm in a really good place. And then your house broke down. Yeah. And now I'm demolding by myself while Chris is far away in London. And he's like, sorry, I haven't been there to help. I'm like, oh, that's fine. I'll just cut up these boards myself and stuff them into the trash. And then while the trash is coming down my driveway from hell, I'll just fall over and empty out and I'll cut my foot and then I'll put it back up in and then i'll open the i feel like there's a message coming through to you that

you're supposed to be receiving or things are just going to keep breaking yeah yeah yeah i know yep i feel is it yeah we're gonna have to manifest does anybody know what this could be i think it's that the chaos yep the chaos is happening everything's breaking everything's not going the way it's supposed to go. It's, uh, it's, uh, not a fun time to live in for me, but I think it's about getting organized and getting like back to basics of life. I've bitten off more than I can chew yet again. Yeah. And like surrendering, surrendering to the chaos and like, there's always going to be something. And it's like, you have to work on the inside foundation. Yes. So that when all the chaos happens, it doesn't throw you off balance too badly. Exactly. And you know
