How many times have you touched your hair? we did for one episode what was at at least 18 times i think but then but look at how shiny it is and healthy it's great and everyone who you don't see really appreciates it too i'm just again nothing more annoying on a podcast than when somebody just is talking about a visual aspect

that you can't see cool just look at this look at this ponytail i have a look at me so i've never had hair that I know. Okay. So this episode of the lady gang is not about me. It is about Jack Vannick and it's actually a little bit about me, but so here's the deal. Here's the deal. Okay. That was like a typical Kelty thing ever, ever. I, it, because it stemmed out of me, but it's really about Jack. So I was driving in Chris's car this week and I did an experiment to see if I'm still cool. And so, as we know, the second coming of emo music is coming, right? It's begun. And there are... I call it Gen Zemo. Gen Zemo. Great. Emo versus Gen Zemo. Okay. So, you know, we have had all this pop music and now we're going back to emo music. And I said to Chris,

like i don't feel like i'm angsty enough to enjoy this music anymore i'm way peaceful you know i've got a nest egg like i'm in a healthy relationship like i just don't know that like email music is going like i used to sit and listen to dashboard confessional and cry and look at the new york skyline and be so emo so i thought it would be a really fun test for jack to play some of the music will probably get sued and this might get taken down, but let's like try to have fun with it. I'm going to play like five seconds of a song and I'm going to have you tell me if it's Jen's emo or if it's emo. Okay. Am I, am I telling you, I'm saying what the band is, if I know it.

If you know it, and then I want to, and then we can talk about the songs. Okay. Okay. Are you ready? Becca, did you listen to any emo music at all? period no okay it actually makes me in high school it actually makes me hate humanity when i hear emo music oh my god i wasn't angsty i was just like because you were popular no i wasn't i was a nerd i was listening to show tunes in my car or i was listening to celine dion like if i wanted to feel feelings real feelings it was like Celine Dion or the original emo the original emo but no I can't I also am not a fan of this sounds really shitty I don't like emotions I don't really enjoy male vocalists as much as I do female vocal interesting so you didn't even

like paramour that was a female I know music no I didn't really I mean Avril Lavigne was like she was sort of between the pop world and the emo world and even her stuff was sort of like get over it skater girl you're a dork find someone else wow and she did the singer of creed okay here we go is this gen zemo or emo okay oh um well that's my chemical romance which i actually my god so this is the thing in the emo world you are either a fallout boy fan or you're a my chem fan and i was a fallout boy gal i hate my chemical romance i don't like any of their songs but people love them and they're supposed to have their big comeback last year right before covid

hit and i always wonder what that's like for people are they this is the sign to not have a comeback wait i didn't know i didn't know you could only be my chemical romance or follow boy well you don't have to be but you usually are you're on one side or the other the my chem fans would be like the goth kind of emo kids and then the follow boy fans were like the pop oh yeah interesting okay please name this tune is this that little huddy song yes oh my god you do know emo this is gen zemo did he say i'll make your boyfriend cry yes i mean what are your thoughts it's not it's not bad that's the problem the problem is i listened to and i was like so i don't know how to i don't know how to

process this emotion because i don't even think it's probably his voice well the thing is with these Jen Zemo kids, they're getting these songs written like that Dixie D'Amelio girl that is trying to be a singer. Anyways, she just put out a song that Demi Lovato wrote. These people are so famous and so rich. They can have these incredible songwriters write their songs. But then they don't make money on the song because they didn't write it. And then they can't tour with the song because they can't actually do anything live. So what is the point of having this music streams man streams well that's the thing I was wondering because I did go down a k-hole of Lil Huddy after this and I was like okay like I just want to understand

this for a second because you know I felt about the TikTok like he's the one that I met and he came to ET in a fuck off sweatshirt and I was like you obviously have never watched television you don't know that I we get sued if you have a swear word on but anyway so I went down the thing and then it's like his entire TikTok is just him lip syncing to other people's songs I would that's what tiktok is is it not i understand that and people like half-assed quarter-assed dancing but if you were trying to break into the music business and you're gonna release some albums don't you think at some point you like sean mendez it and like do a couple unplugged versions of the song for your social media with 60 million followers you can't do unplugged versions of

songs when you can't actually sing live well or the the problem is with especially with these tiktok kids is they don't understand i'm i'm going to assume they don't understand the hustle that it takes like jared's band's been around for 14 years and they like are constantly hustling and hustling and hustling but if you get if you like get shot to stardom on tiktok for doing nothing you're going to think that you can keep doing nothing and be successful which they can it's just like sounds like a dream i know sounds like a dream we really missed our calling god damn it i would have been incredible on tiktok honestly i could have kelty keeps drawing are you still posting tiktok i'm so glad you've stopped dancing on tiktok kelty i know i am so i started dancing

on instagram it's my most popular post i've ever done which one my friend john and i we did a dance my friend has a new MS she's MS and she's a new um like movement to support people moving and singing as therapy and so she asked everyone to post a dance and so we're like let's do it together and so we did it and of course it got like a million thousand views well just kidding 50,000 but um it was like my most popular content of all time on Instagram so you might see more dancing at least it's for a good cause yeah I would like to say that I actually started the dancing on instagram you did thank you did here we go before tiktok even five seconds here we go okay uh fall boy one night and one night

i just realized something let's talk about you making it with p once again what do we want to talk about I was the first person that Pete once met in California when I went to the show that there's like 200 people out. Yeah. He said I was his first friend that he ever made. Jack was like the emo greeter. I was, I like, I was like, you can be successful, but you have to make out with me first. I think I know why you guys were drawn to emo music. Why? I know this. You guys felt like that expression, that type of expression coming out of a man was a real wet ass moment for you because men do not normally have those types of

emotions. And so for you guys, you're like, oh my God, this is so magical. He must love me so much. He wants to jump off of whatever they're singing about. But to me, my worst nightmare is a man having emotions. My worst nightmare is a man coming to me with tears in his eyes saying that he cannot live without me. So that would be like, ew, ew, ew, ew, something's wrong with you. Get the fuck away from me and go sing about it. And that's what it is. Yeah. And then that, that is what I think about that. Cause I'm like, I had such a great childhood and relationship with my dad. I'm like, what, what made me attracted to all these up men? And maybe that's it because those were also the men or the boys that were like, I'm like, I want to save you and I want to
