It's time for a quickie podcast one presents the lady gang, the Hollywood girl posse with
lady gang quickie. Here's Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin and Jack Vanek. Let's make this quick.
Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the lady gang quickie. I am Becca here with Jack and Kelty.
I know you have some exciting news that you want to share with the lady gang listeners
about crafting? Oh, yes. So anybody coming to Lady World, I just got my dream partnership
sponsor. And that is with Michael's. Not Jimmy John's. Oh, well, I have a couple other. Not
Fireball, not Jersey Mike's. Right. No. But with my, my new, my soul really is like, this is the
dream partnership with Michael's. You all know Michael's. It's where you get all of your arts
and crafts from there's one one mile away from me i've spent so much money there it's insane
but they're coming on lady world as a sponsor they're sponsoring my paint and sip classes
and that means you're going to get so many fun really great supplies for the class and i just
can't wait i can't wait a love of michael's the yarn is from michael's the everything in my craft
closet is for michael's both of my crickets it's just by the way place on the earth and at christmas
forget about it right yeah they have all their Halloween stuff up right now and they also have
amazing fake florals like faux yeah they do I have all my stuff in my house right now is from
Michael's and it looks amazing I also have such nostalgia how is it possible that this store no
matter where in the world it is smells the same yeah cinnamon broom it's it's so wild like I love
it so much. It's just, I went, I remember being so homesick in North Bay, Ontario during a Hallmark
movie. And there was nothing there. I mean, there's literally not a whole lot there. And I
looked on a map and I was like, what can I do today? What can I do? I'm like, I'm going to get
a coffee. And I spotted a Michael's and I walked in, I probably dropped $3,000 on crafts, but I
felt alive. I felt alive in the dead of winter in Ontario. It was orgasmic. You know what? Like
really, I think the most nostalgic thing you can do there is go in the aisle that has the t-shirts
and the puffy paints. Oh, for me, it's the scrapbooking aisles. Oh, the stickers for sure.
Do you remember that? I actually have a friend, Tracy, who has a scrapbook for every year of her
life. Oh my God. Isn't that cool? She's kept with it. Yes. God, couldn't be me. Did you scrapbook?
Oh yeah, I did. Me too. And I would scrapbook for like my best friends when we'd have a birthday
coming up. I actually do think that's very jack coded is putting together a scrapbook for
somebody's birthday. That is really cute. I know. You should start doing it for Jared. Just secretly
document the year and then at every birthday you present him with the scrapbook of his year
year of jare that's so cute jared you're listening to this because you edit our podcast shoot
but also jared i'm gonna say this maybe that's something you can do for me oh you know are we
having conversations through the podcast now okay because he's always asking me like well you know
I'm so picky with my gifts and what I give and then it's like he really struggles because you
want to get what you give no I don't expect it because I don't expect anybody like I know that
like it's a it's a it's a talent of mine so I don't expect it but I do love like a handmade
really thoughtful thing so Jared just if you're wondering this might be a good because then it's
like collecting through things throughout the year it's very it's so cute it's a very cute
That's so cute.
Yeah.
Well, you buried the lead.
So just a little behind the scenes of the fabulousness that's coming up in a few weeks.
So Jack has – is it imposter syndrome that you have?
Yeah.
Fear of like –
No one showing up.
I'm delusional where I'm like, yeah, like everyone showing up to like the point where it freaks us.
You know?
Jack's the opposite.
she's like no one's coming and so she when we went to go make the classes for lady world she
was like i want to do this paint and sip and our plan from the beginning was to have like 100 people
in each class and we're like we asked everyone like months ago what do you want to do and like
80 of the people on the survey were like we just want to lay on the beach all day and come to the
shows we're like great yeah nobody nobody wanted nobody wanted to do an activity include classes
or activities we were like why did we spend all this money making this tent for classes like
this is crazy we're so dumb we should have just done more beach games like we really had a whole
kiki about it then jack is like okay well i want to put my class on a day when people are actually
going to come because like maybe they won't be there for becca's class like we had a whole
rigamadal rigamadal literally the class goes on it's full in four seconds and then people are
screaming. Yeah. I want to paint with Jack. It's the whole reason I'm coming. And we're like,
no. So anyway, three paint and sips later. Yeah. Then we were like, we just want to make people
happy. Right. So we're like, okay, we'll add another class. We cannot add any more classes.
The schedule is jam packed to the point of like, when it's, when your paint and sip class is over,
you better get the up, grab your paintbrush and your paper and get the out of the tent.
because the next, the next painting set needs to come in. I need to be in there and like be
wrangling. In and out. In and out. In and out. Like there is no doddle time. You want to get
a picture with Jack, you can find her in the bathroom. Yeah. Anyway, so it was so funny and
literally I'm like, yeah, we just keep adding classes. And then I'm just sitting back here
going, oh my God, how are we going to pay for all these painting supplies? It's literally the
whole budget of the whole weekend. Yeah. And Jack's like, I'm going to call Michaels. Whatever
you did on that call. Mazel tov. Thank you. No, I'm so excited. It's just, it's, it really is my
dream. So I'm so excited to work with them and yeah, they have the best supplies ever. So expect
a little surprise and delight when you're at my paint and sip class, you know, I'm going to have
to come, I guess. Okay. I have to see for yourself. All right. So a few weeks ago we put out a, um,
unpopular opinions episode of the girls. And I got so many notes about it. People were like,
we loved it. And so they wanted us to do it again. And so I have some, and I'm going to just start
with the most insane one I've ever heard. Well, first of all, okay, we need help. Where is,
who owns Meta? Mark Zuckerberg. Mark Zuckerberg. If you're listening to Lady Gang, we need your
hub. There is an anonymous member tragedy happening in the lady gang Facebook group.
Okay. So allegedly once you do one comment anonymous, like if you wanted to comment
anonymously on someone's or put something out that was like close to your heart that you don't want,
once you post anonymous once you're anonymous forever now. So instead of the face,
this are you sure literally what's happening and so everyone is like anonymous 279 anonymous
812 anonymous 243 like our we don't have people in the facebook group it's just anonymous is now
no it's turned into reddit that's what i was saying before yeah it's crazy so can someone
figure this out and tell us what anonymous 279 needs to do because well anonymous 279
says dogs don't belong in grocery stores oh i saw that and then rebecca says or restaurants
i think well first of all service dogs should be everywhere um clearly and i think well-behaved
dogs can be in maybe not a grocery store there feels like that's like could be some sort of
questionable health code situation but a restaurant if i'm at a restaurant and there's a dog
that's just seated next to its owner or laying down and it's not getting up it's not sitting
on a seat like fine do you there's kids out there grimier than your dogs so yeah i agree i love dogs
i love seeing them at restaurants but they have to be well behaved like you can't bring your dog
that you never trained to a restaurant that's going to be barking the entire time and just let
it sit there it was like the same thing i was saying about people with their kids like if your
dog starts misbehaving, you need to bring it out. Yep. And like, give it a spanking. Yeah. Give it
a spank, a hard one. I'm just kidding. Samantha said, and I really believe this. I think upgrading
my phone is unnecessary just because there's a new version. I don't want to learn a new phone.
I don't even mention the anxiety over, will my pictures transfer over my contacts, my texts?
i just cannot until current phone is almost inoperable well many of us who are extremely
anxious and over caffeinated feel this way i think if you have an iphone it's you everything
will transfer so i don't know if it's an android problem discard samantha's feelings jack no i
agree i hate when i get the i hate when i get the text from zach like every couple years where it's
like hey i think i figured out a way for us to get the new phones and not have to pay for it
you know because there's always some sort of you know deal and I when I receive that text I'm like
he's expecting me to be elated and jump up for joy and I'm like I don't want to I don't want
to open up another one of those hard to open white boxes with all the pieces now you need a new
charger because they change the charger every time it used to be a penis then it was the mat
now it's a roundy yeah no I don't like it I think especially now headphones don't fit in this
with the new cameras the new cameras just get worse they don't get worse they get better
but they make you look worse like selfies are getting grosser and grosser and grosser
that's why I'm using a digital camera from 1999 that I bought on eBay because I look incredible
because it's barely in focus very blown out well I'm like bring back sidekick cameras you know
that's when I was looking my best because I was so true I literally looks like Voldemort I found
my sidekick SIM card.
Really? I need to get
a sidekick off eBay and like find
a portal for it. You should.
I mean, I actually have my old sidekicks.
I just don't have a charger for them
to open.
All right. Alice says,
milk must always be shaken
before poured. I don't care what
anyone says. Yeah, I mean,
I think so, right? No.
I mean, I've never
noticed any form of
congealing or thinning of my
milks i mean obviously almond milk that's a given i don't know well if that's what you need to do
to feel good you do you nobody's judging you no jesse this is niche and maybe only happens here
in australia but we need to stop making artists do a shoey on stage it's so cringe and i hate it
so much and then adrian said i had to google that and oh my god it's horrific they need to
immediately cease those yeah so a shoeie is pouring beer into a shoe and drinking it it's
my worst nightmare but why like everyone has jesse is making it sound like everyone has to do the
shoeie that must be an australian thing i mean i've seen people do them but it's not like a every
time an artist is on stage that sounds gross that does sound niche ew that makes me want to barf
yeah every lucindia says everyone has their own agenda not one single person does something for
another person without an agenda, even if that agenda is just making themselves feel better.
Is this an unpopular opinion? I feel like- No, I think that's literally the truth.
This is a hot fact. I'm for this and hot fact. There's no such thing as a good deed.
Well, I don't know. I mean, I hate to bring it back to this, but I don't do anything. I mean,
I do all nice things for my kid all day long and I don't get any benefits.
That's true. It is a thankless job.
That's true. That's true. You know what? Excellent point.
thank you and no nope i can't even say that i do that for zach either so she's not wrong lucinda's
not totally off i mean if if someone now we're thinking about all the things we need to get
other things no i'm thinking about like if if you like deeply care about somebody you know i think
about things i do all the time not all the time i'm not i'm not a saint but i do things for friends
when they need help just because i know they need help and i would feel like i would want that kind
to help if I was in that position. That's your agenda.
Not,
no, I'm not saying if I'm ever in that.
No, I'm not saying if I'm ever in that.
I'm putting myself in their position
where it's like if I was in this
situation and I didn't have somebody to
help me pick my kid up from school,
like I need, I would want that.
So I'm going to do that for this other person, even though
you know, it might be a pain in the ass. So,
you know, I think
a handful of things we're doing.
Handful small.
The sauce is sassy in the Facebook group.
the lady gang okay Megan says when parents post time slow down oh god pictures of their kids
so stupid and then Nikki said this bothered me too until I had kids
I understand the sentiment yeah but everybody does everybody says it it's just like I you know
what I hate so much is when women with sons refer to their sons as their little men like me and my
little man or sometimes they'll be like I went to dinner with my boyfriend tonight and it's a
picture of their like four-year-old son I dislike that so much yeah it's yucky what like who's
referring to a baby boy as a little man it's weird the only time my little guy I think it's
I don't, it doesn't bother me when I think of someone saying little man, I think of like a
ring bearer at a wedding. Like he's only a little shiny shoes. Yeah. I love it. My,
my father-in-law actually calls all the men in the family look like little man when they're kids.
That's cute. It's just something about when the mom does it, like, here's my little man
off to first grade. Like, I don't know. I just feel weird about it. I feel weird.
Yeah, I get it. Anonymous member 310. Nobody, and I mean nobody, thinks your love is special
enough to do a destination wedding and spend the money and time off except for your mom.
Oh my God. I agreed with the first part.
I mean, but here's the thing. Do you just have low expectations for other people caring
about your wedding as much as you do? And make sure if you do a destination,
it's in a fun destination. Yeah, true. That people actually want to go to.
I mean, who's picking bad destinations, Jack?
That's true.
I don't know.
But it doesn't matter because I kind of – I feel anonymous 310 because just because it's a fun destination for you doesn't mean it's a fun destination for me.
Okay.
You know what I mean?
Like Mexico is fun, but you're not – your wedding is not doing Mexico the way I would do Mexico.
Oh, that's true.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
your wedding is essentially Las Vegas, but in Mexico. Yeah. I think we should normalize
lying about not being able to make like reasons to not be able to go to things.
I think even if it's your best friend in the whole world, that's getting married,
unless she comes to you before she schedules it. And she's like, are you going to be available on
this time to go to this place? And you, if you say yes, then you have to go. Most people are
not doing that. So you get the invitation and you're like, you know, it could be a really,
really close friend. But if you just don't want to go, because let's face it, it doesn't matter
if you're there. You're not spending time with the bride or the groom. You're seeing them for
four minutes. You're spending time with the other guests at the wedding. And how often do you even
want to do that with your free time? So I want to normalize coming up with beautiful, wonderful,
I could actually create a service where you come to me. I just did this yesterday for a friend.
You come to me and you're like, I need to get out of this thing. What do I do? I will help you lie.
you will be that phone call i will be that phone call if anybody needs some advice i have such
great wonderful ideas anonymous number 310 had many many things to say the second thing she said
was why are we rebooting everything let the fading stars die let's get back to original
thought and creativity for new shows i agree with this a million percent so on the first three or
other podcasts like whatever date it is we talk about like what movies were the like at the box
office every single thing in the past 20 years is like not the mission impossible mission impossible
is not a good good example because it's actually good but it's like mission impossible happy gilmore
five exactly there are no original wedding singer leave it alone like you guys as two women who just
went to the sphere to see the backstreet boys you have no leg to stand on that's different that's
not a reboot that's just like they have a long career they've never stopped becca they've never
stopped they didn't reboot they continued freakier friday it's the same two people no i agree new
movie same but that is a i again a reboot that i don't i mean i haven't seen it but everything
how dare you it's a continuation it's a continuation like the backstreet boys
it's because people don't go to things or watch things that aren't remakes people like aren't
familiar yeah they like familiarity we have too many surprises and bad news in this world so if
you know that you're gonna walk in to see mission impossible you know exactly what you're gonna see
you're gonna see tom cruise and his weird teeth but that was about his front tooth his one front
tooth no that's a bad example because that's not a reboot because it's the same guy the thing that
they're doing like the reboot number two three four with their new things no they're saying they
want the dying stars no they said she said she wants the dying stars to die to die no it is true
it's like well they're never as good as the first never no anonymous member 310 had more to say
she said seasonal depression is not limited to winter i'm hot and i'm miserable this summer
i understand yeah i understand rachel says pickles are the worst zombie cucumbers
no that's such a dumb statement literally there's nothing better than the pickle
kelly my favorite ever unpopular opinion is will ferrell jim carrey and ryan reynolds are not
funny we've discussed this before jim reynolds is not funny no ryan reynolds ryan reynolds has
never genuinely made me laugh no he's disgusting uh jim carrey i highly disagree with he was my
first real crush after the green power ranger yeah i am a jim carrey stan forever he is so
talented and I love him. Janine, butter on bread is absolutely disgusting. The texture, the flavor,
and then anonymous number 307, all bread or like flat white bread? I can almost understand why
people need butter on toast, but I cannot fathom why someone would goop up a perfectly good dinner
roll with butter. Oh my God, there's nothing better. Unsalted butter should not exist.
That's true. All butter should be salted. Yeah, I agree.
oh my god bread and butter sounds so good right now oh delicious
john mayer needs a roast of john mayers where the roast masters are jessica simpson taylor
swift and jen aniston at the end he's arrested and his walk off and cuffs his gravity yes you
guys this is so funny this person needs to be a writer if they're not already that's great what a
twist that's great he's arrested oh anonymous number five two three the bear is a terrible tv
show oh this is hard for me i loved the first season and then the second season whoever made
the bear they got fooled into thinking we were there for the food and they made it like it was
a martha stewart like there were so many close-ups of like a scallop being cut and i was like no no
we're here for the sex yeah no i definitely was there for the storyline and not the art
yeah and nothing happened in this the last season i waited the whole season for the girlfriend to
come back or something to happen and i was like nothing i just i can't do it anymore okay um
okay sarah says getting a manicure is not enjoyable we've talked about this and it's
literally horrible bacon is disgusting pineapple does go on pizza giving gifts as adults is
unnecessary. Wow. Is this me? No, I don't like bacon either. I don't either. Only like a really
crispy piece every once in a while. Yes. Same. Ooh, Megan. I think bumper stickers on cars are
dumb. If you feel so strongly about something, you'd want to put it on your car. Just get it
tattooed. A bumper sticker is such an interesting form of expression. It really is. It's very
I am vintage.
Yeah, it is.
Rose gold looks cheap and childish.
Wow.
I'm not a rose gold fan.
You know, I actually recently have been fooled,
and I haven't even realized something that I like was rose gold
because it was such a subtle, subtle hint of rose.
Oh, what was it?
It's a watch with the silver and rose gold combo.
Wait, is it a Rolex?
No.
and I thought it was gold gold, and I was like, I want this.
I want to get this, and then I realized it's rose gold.
So then I was like, oh, shit, but I still really like it,
and I don't really go for rose gold.
She's rose gold girly.
I hate when people refer to their kids as kiddos.
Bachelorette weekends instead of one local night being the norm is crazy sauce.
Your options are now to use all of your money and PTO or be the odd one out.
People really agreed with this.
It has turned into quite a thing.
I have to say, it's turned into such a thing.
And as someone who recently had a job that only gave me 10 paid time off days a year,
it's like, that's gold.
You know what I mean?
And so I really like, whew, to spend it to be friends with your Aunt Cindy at a club
is like, I don't know if that feels right.
But again, don't go.
Being the odd one out is fine.
like you have to really like sit down and be like what am i really missing you know what am i really
missing what moments am i missing yeah okay i am gonna end with megan dixon a long time member of
the lady gang and megan it might be over for us she said i don't understand the obsession with
cheese that's pretty insane and then anonymous member 234 said this is blasphemy is that you
say that? Blasphemy? Blasphemy. Well, you know, I do think some people have taken cheese too far.
Well, it definitely was. It's had its like sardine moment, you know? Yeah, I think. And also I think
people who love cheese do need to calm down. It's it's becomes people's personality. Like I don't
want to see a meme having to do with your love of cheese. I think that's strange. Yeah. It's how I
feel about when people like rose great keep it to yourself well it's the only thing you can publicly
do is diet coke no cheese like the love of cheese is very like 2016 and diet coke is only cool
talking about it because it's the social cigarette now before that it was too much so if you want to
rebrand cheese and make it cool like a social cigarette i could be on board but until then
it's choogy it is choogy choogy okay well remember choogy oh god we've come so far listen if someone
can figure out how to turn off the anonymous comments it'll be so much fun if we can call
you by your name thanks for being a part of the lady gang and we're not here for a long time we're
here for a good time social support from callie colera editing from jared monaco producing from
steve delameter and iconic hosting creating and being the gang gang of all gangs by becca tobin
Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Kelty Knight support by Derek Haley.
