Podcast One presents The Lady Gang, the Hollywood girl posse with Lady Gang Quickie. Here's Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Let's make this quick. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Lady Gang Quickie. I am Becca here with Jack and Kelty.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Hello. Hello. Hi, guys. Kelsey was doing a nice little shimmy before we started. Are you like ready to go? I've just, you know, I hated to say it because you know it, but I miss you. I miss us when we're not together and it makes my heart so happy when we get to chat. And I know that sounds stupid. I knew you were going to laugh like that, Jack. So that's why I didn't say anything. I wonder what it would feel like to do an in-person podcast. It has been like
Starting point is 00:01:50 so long since we've been together. And actually the last one was Leanne Ford in getting a March. Do you remember when we were cocky little shits and we did that interview with the Hollywood reporter at the beginning of COVID and we had pre-taped like three weeks and it was like a week or two. And they're like, they want to interview about switching things for podcasting. And we're like, yeah, we'll never do a podcast. Not together. That's what our fans expect. I did Moira from Schitt's Creek. Wait, we said that? Yeah. Well, I did. That was also probably when we thought that lockdown was only two weeks long. Yeah. And we're like, no, we'll get back. We're not changing anything. We're luckily pre-taped, whatever. I'm like, yeah, what I would kill to
Starting point is 00:02:29 sit in a room. Needed to pre-tape for about a year longer, but that's fine. I know. But can I share a little behind the scenes? I was thinking about this yesterday because I was like, gosh, I'm gone for such a long time. Like this is it. This is the new normal for a while. And I was like, I wonder if we'll ever go back to having a studio of any kind or like be in person. And then I remembered Kelty saying something that was just so Kelty. Oh no. We would have people come to the studio, like friends, celebrities, like whatever. And then after we would wrap up the podcast, like we would hang out with them for a little bit and like chat, catch up. And Kelty's like, Oh my God, this is so much better. We get to do it remote. We don't have to rush anybody
Starting point is 00:03:10 out of the studio. Cause we don't want to hang out with them any longer. And I'm like, I can't actually remember a single person that came on the podcast that I didn't want to like, continue to hang out with afterwards. The best part of it is on schedule. The best part about Kelsey too, is there's no faking it. There's no like masking the fact that you are over it. Like Becca and I, even if it's like, you know, it wasn't even if we're exhausted, we'll do it. We'll do a little small chat making them feel like it wasn't just like get in here and then get the hell out you know just like make them feel a little comfortable healthy someone has to be the chris jenner of this trio you know what i mean i got it someone has to be it and i'm happy to be that for you i'm glad
Starting point is 00:03:51 that you are that you judge me for it but it literally if i had not been that person we would still be visiting with leanne ford right now like nine months later i wish excuse me but now you're using her resources. So you can't use that as an example. You would have kept her in your office for three years. Yeah. Leanne Ford's like the only person that you would have kept in. That's true. That's what everybody else- I have thought deeply about only dressing in black and white since I met her. She's so chic. She's the chicest. No, that, but I will say, I think that when there's a podcast, I was thinking about this too when we were having a meeting with some other girls we might launch their podcast with. And I was like, there has to be a Kelty who doesn't
Starting point is 00:04:31 pick up on the cues and like feels this urgency to move on to the next thing. Like, Oh yeah. There's three girls who don't know how to cut off a tangent. You're like, I know me and you are too polite and we're like, don't want to like hot, like cause a kerfuffle. So we're like, totally. Let's just keep chatting for three hours. It's fine. I know. I love that you guys love me. Um, I also love that. We're so cool that Vogue sponsored us and we're going to continue Vogue 73 questions today. And I thought it was great because people really liked the first one. It's been a few weeks, but yeah, people really liked it. I had fun. I just get to a point where I'm like, do people get sick of hearing us talk about ourselves? No, the overall,
Starting point is 00:05:21 like what's your favorite food? No, they like senses. They hate guests and they only want us to talk about ourselves. They only like it when it's the three of us, please. If, if that's not how you feel, you need to be more vocal in the reviews. Well, there's two things they hate when we were Kelty Kelty. You're so many. No, you're judging. Kelty is judging from like one Facebook post that she'll see from one person and she'll be like, the entire lady gang thinks this way. There's one post. Yes. I dare you. I dare you to go. Actually, it will be coming up in an episode. Actually, let me just tease this. There's an episode coming up where I have our reviews to review and we will review them then. So your day is about Vogue 73 questions. All right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:07 But don't fucking burp or someone will unsubscribe. I just burped on the last podcast. I know. And I was like, sorry, I'm enjoying my limoncello LaCroix, bitches. It's the best flavor they make. It will make you burpee. We're living. It will make you burpee. Okay. Oh, this is going to be so good. All right. If, oh, I love this. Okay. What is a book that everyone should read? We'll start off easy. Oh, I know mine. What's yours? It's an old one. And I read this when I was in my early twenties. So I don't know if it's still that good, but men are from Mars. Women are from Venus. It's like, take me back. It's like the idiot's guide to why men and women don't understand each other. And it will really make you understand like the basics of how our brain works and how
Starting point is 00:06:58 they just kind of, they miss, they miss each other all the time. I would recommend that, but I don't, it was made in like Britain, I think in like the sixties. So I'm not sure if it's dated or like i lived and breathed like that when why men love bitches book in the early thousands my mom my mom when i was in high school you need to read my why men love bitches i'm like but mom i'm not a bitch then she's like you need to read it and now i understand i could give a book um i mean i feel like i have this i talk about this book all the time many lives many masters it's like this is why i worry about this because we have had this conversation before All right, fine. I'll throw you something harder. What would you like to be remembered for?
Starting point is 00:07:46 Sometimes when I'm interviewing someone and they're quite old and you think this might be the last time I get them before they pass away. I know I'm just saying that they always put a legacy question in where you have to be like, what do you hope people remember about you? When they die, entertainment tonight can put it in. Well, I don't know about if entertainment, but you always want to know the answer to that question. So I'm happy we're answering it now. Let's just get it out of the way. What do you want to be remembered for, Becca? Well, in my own little myopic world of people who actually know me, I want people to remember me as being generous with my time and my energy
Starting point is 00:08:27 and also my money. I like that. And love. Good. Add that on at the end. Yes. Jack? Yeah. Just being kind and thoughtful to the people in my life and just being a good friend because it's very hard to find good, genuine friends that last a lifetime, I guess. wait what can I go on a tangent yes okay this is not Jack is very genuine about how good of a friend she is she's actually a very good friend but we all have these women in our lives like I was on Instagram the other day and I was like hate watching someone unfortunately yes I do see to that level and there's this girl that I know who was like three things about myself one I'm blah blah blah two blah blah and three I'm a great fucking friend and I'm like the girl who
Starting point is 00:09:17 always pride yourself on being a great friend and it's like really aggressive that you know she's a great friend is usually the most like self-absorbed yes no those kind of friends are the friends that are great friends to post about it or to brag about it they'll be like oh my god when my girlfriend was going through a breakup guess what I did yeah it's like it's also like you can't self-describe yourself like I I want to be remembered as being a great friend I would not be like bragging that I was a great friend because it's the same thing as somebody being like I'm so humble. It's like, yes, there are certain things that you cannot describe yourself as. And those are two of them. I'm not a great friend, so I don't have to worry about that. No, you are a
Starting point is 00:09:57 great friend. You don't have to like shout it from the rooftops, but you're a great friend to like three people. You're a specific type of great friend. I'm a great friend to a small, and I mean small. What do you want to be remembered for? I would be remembered for having a hot bod and being super adventurous in bed i'd like to be remembered for loving anal oh my god i'm just kidding they're like kelty was so organized she loved a list she had a beautiful pen set and also loved anal the lady gang i have a question have you tried anything adventurous in bed lately like where are the nipple tassel talks oh yeah you know what i so interesting i was doing an interview um this is a little bit ago after the fenty show with miguel and nazanin
Starting point is 00:10:51 his wife and i was like so you're on this show and you're wearing like a nipple tassel and like a thigh high latex boot and glove like does the costume here like have you worn it and she's like no and i was like well i feel like you guys are probably very sexual and i don't know why i asked this kind of inappropriate, but I was like, so like, tell me about your life. Like, how do you keep it sexy? And they're like, every once in a while when we look at each other, we've been in our sweat pants for too long. We just know it's like hot tub time. And so I was like, oh, interesting. So I took that in and I let it precipitate in my face for a bit. And then I looked at Chris and I was like, I've been in my sweat pants for too long. It's hot tub time. So
Starting point is 00:11:28 then I went in the hot tub and normally I sit on like the far side from him with the jets that I like eating a Klondike with a wrapper. And I'm like, this is not that hot. So I went in the hot tub naked and well, actually, no, I didn't start naked. I started in a little bikini because normally I wear one piece in the hot tub hair. And so I went in a sexual bikini and then I laid on him in the chase, like labor, because it's like a 1980s hot tub, right? So it's got like areas you can sit. So I laid on him and then we ended up like making out for like half an hour. And I was like, yes, hot tub time. So yeah, I am still a great lover.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Thanks for checking. You made out for a half an hour. We made out for so long. Just making out. There's no sex. Just making out. No sex. Well, there was sex eventually, but we just were making out like high schoolers.
Starting point is 00:12:19 It's one of my favorite things. When I feel like it's getting a little stale, I'm just like, we have to have a makeout. Oh my God. I can't think of anything worse. Because there's like months go by where I don't kiss him. Months. You don't kiss him at all? like french kissing you just sit around french kissing jack no we no no but like you don't you
Starting point is 00:12:39 don't like kiss either like a regular kiss like i smooch kiss like i love you like give a kiss on the cheek give a kiss on let's i'm talking like a kiss like an emily in paris is having a one-night stand like kiss like how often are you and jared like just embracing in a french kiss yeah it's not often right i don't even want to french kiss during sex no me neither no me either. I don't want a French kiss ever. Not ever. Not ever. Unless it's a stranger. The more I'm in a relationship, the more I agree. Yeah. I want a French kiss a stranger too. Like bad. Because there's the, yeah, I would love, I would love to French kiss a stranger on the street in New York. I was thinking about like this date I went on, um, in my early twenties
Starting point is 00:13:25 and like, I only went on two dates with this guy and like, he was walking me home from dinner. Cause you're like in New York, you can walk home after your date and it's like so romantic. And he like pushed me up against the, um, like a building, which now on second thought is like pretty disgusting, but I think he was against the building. I might've done the pushing. Not sure. Anyway. So we were like making out on the side of the street at night in New York city and like
Starting point is 00:13:46 a little drunk off the wine on a brick building. And I remember him like breathing and I was like, this is so hot. And like, of course, then when I saw his penis, I'd be disinterested and like his annoyingness and like how he couldn't do laundry properly and like whatever, you know, but end that moment. And since we never went on another date, probably my fault. I've kept that moment. It was so hot. I'd love to French kiss a stranger. You're right, Becca. Well, speaking of Emily in Paris, I just watched that show and I hated it in the beginning, but then I loved it at the end because I love how she just hooks up with a bunch of random guys. Like has one night
Starting point is 00:14:19 stands with all these guys. And I'm like, this is reality. And this is what would happen if you went and worked abroad. You'd have sex with a bunch of random guys that turned out to be assholes, but that it was hot and passionate. And then you'd like your friend's boyfriend. And then I liked that. And it made me really nestle young again of the glory days. Made me feel alive. I feel like it was, it's literally what I've talked about for five years on this podcast. Like she has a romantic rendezvous. You know what I was thinking about the other day? Did you guys have parents growing up who like cheated on their spouses with like friends. So there was like one, there was a girl that I went to school with. You mean
Starting point is 00:14:58 like friends' parents that did that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So like I had a girl, I went to school with this one girl and her mom had sex with her best friend's dad. Wait, you know what I mean? Like when the parents of your friends were like having sex with, no, just cheating. Oh, yes. I had a friend had cheated. Like affairs. Like with like the people you hang out with. I'm like something, I'm really grateful for something that happens to me immediately when we have couples friends. There is not a single part of me that like is attracted to the significant other of any of my friends. How messy. That's not how Jack and I feel. We've talked about this. No, we haven't. You like your friends' husbands? Wasn't this a question in our 100 million party that if we had
Starting point is 00:15:48 to hook up with one? No, that was a question for me. And I decided to eat a bug because it makes me feel uncomfortable. Oh yeah. No, no. I'm saying like, I don't like, it's so weird because I was thinking about it. Like we have this like core group of a bunch of couples who are friends and the men are not unattractive. They're like decent looking men, but there's something in me. there's like a switch that like, I cannot be sexually attracted to these men. That's a good switch. Grateful because I think about my friend's mom growing up and she didn't have that switch and she did bone her friend's husband. It's just, I don't, I can't think of a worse situation to be in. Like that's never going to go over well. There's no, yeah. But like the sexuality is
Starting point is 00:16:34 stricter than their friend's husbands than you think. No, I know. I know. It's not healthy unless everybody is agreeing. But even then, there's something about the sexuality for me that's just not there. You just have a flip that switches. Yeah, it's weird. It's very weird. I'm proud of you, Becca. That's a really nice thing. What a good quality. A great quality. I'm not, I didn't want it. No, the thing is, it's like, honestly, it might be because you actually know them as people too, because there's nothing hotter than a hot guy that you don't know. A hot stranger. I love a stranger danger. Yes. And when you meet someone through the lens of their wives or girlfriends, you know how shitty they are or just how like average that they are
Starting point is 00:17:21 or like normal. Disappointing. Yeah. Well, most men are disappointing. It's like, they're great when you first meet them. And then the longer that you get to know them, the more human they are. And then the shittier they are. And then you're like, wow, you suck. So it's true. You know what though, Jack? I see exact opposite for Jerry. No, I know. Not sold on Jerry. And literally the other day you came to pick up something for lady gang at my house and Jerry was driving her car, which I thought was so adorable. And he hopped out and was like, the dog was running away and he hopped out to like get the dog and stuff. And I was just like, Jerry's rad. And like, Jerry's just awesome. I was not sold. I was not like, why were you not
Starting point is 00:17:58 sold? Cause I didn't want her to marry a musician. I thought neither of you were sold in the very beginning. I was like, you're so hot. Get a jet. You know, like I really believe that. I know we're joking and stuff, but I wasn't joking. I settled on a good person instead. A great person. A great person. Well, I was sold after I met him. I was sold after I met him. Yeah. It didn't take me this long. I'd been sold before, but I don't see him that often. And so when I saw him, I was like, oh, Jerry, it's like such a friendly like face, but then he's also like a rocker. And I don't know. It's perfect for you. Okay. Last question before we have to go. What do you love the most about your body? Oh, Vogue. When I was on mushrooms a couple of weeks ago, I actually
Starting point is 00:18:45 looking at my feet and my hands, you know, how things look so small when you're on mushrooms or not, you know, I mean, most people don't know. Like sometimes you're like, oh my, you're able to look at your body parts as if they're not yours. Like, like if I need that, it's cool. Um, if you don't overdo it. But I was like looking at my hands and I was like, oh, I actually have like very dainty hands and feet. Like I don't mind the looks. If I was looking over and someone else had these hands and feet, I'd probably be like, oh, you have pretty hands or pretty feet. Oh, that. So do they look very small when you do mushrooms? Well, I think what it is, is that my hands and feet are small.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Yeah. She's a Polly Pocket. as you're like a normal sized person looking at your hands and feet and you're like, Oh, okay. Yeah. I think I was like, Whoa, those are really small hands. Well, what's interesting is that sometimes I'll see someone and I'll be like, Oh, their feet are so cute. I'll be like, what size do you wear? And I'll expect them to be like a 4.5, but they're like a 6.5. And I'm like, that's my size. You do have abnormally small feet for your height. I know.
Starting point is 00:19:57 I'm so perfect. You're lucky. It's a good thing. You don't want to abnormally. My mom is my height and she has size 10 feet, so it could go the other way. But you guys are tall. Yeah, but size 10 is still a little large for 5'7". I guess you're right.
Starting point is 00:20:10 What's average for 5'7", like size 8 foot? Like mine. Yeah. Jack, what do you like about your bod? Sorry, I wasn't hearing you. This is true. No, I mean, I'm so hard on myself. Can I be something about my face?
Starting point is 00:20:21 Sure. Yeah. I like my cheekbones. And you didn't buy those. I did not buy them. Most people do. Yeah, that's about it. I like my butt on my body.
Starting point is 00:20:35 You do have a great butt. Thanks. What about you, Keltie? Thank you, body. I like my wingspan. I have the longest wingspan. It's super easy to get things off the top shelf. You're insane.
Starting point is 00:20:48 No. No, um, I like, it's hard because if I go piece by piece, like the other day I was photographing something and I photographed my hand, I had the opposite of Becca and I looked at my hand and I was like, Ooh, my hand is like old. Like I have old lady hands, many scars, low wrinkles. Like it's not, it's not a fresh young, I'm like, do I need a Botox on my hands? Like I always thought who gets Botox on their hands and now I think I need it. But anyway, um, I think I have a beautiful forearm.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I'm appreciative of I I like my legs and I will say that I'm appreciative that of course I have cellulite and when I stand in the mirror and I squeeze my ass really tight I can see all the little dimples and stuff everyone can yeah well being a woman but when I'm in relaxed mode like and I just like pop it like if we're having sex and I look in the mirror like I think my butt is cute like it's not super dimply it's like dimpled when I clench there's nothing wrong with cellulite Kelty. All women have it. No, there's nothing wrong with it. But I think like, I'm thankful that while my toes are disgusting and my chin is like a gobble of a 90 year old woman that like, I still have the ass of a 25 year old. I was watching scream the other night, um, going to bed
Starting point is 00:22:02 and, um, Courtney Cox plays the reporter and she's always in a mini skirt. And I'm like, damn, first of all, you didn't see Courtney Cox's legs and friends all that much. but in scream i was like she has crazy good legs and i was like the only other person who would look like this on a movie with miniskirts is kelty knight you and courtney great you do have great legs yes and honestly they're not that great in person but they photograph great in a miniskirt there's something about my like knee to miniskirt height knee to ankle the calf muscles of a ballerina the length yeah like there's something i'd like a pilates leg which i i do appreciate it's not great like in a bathing suit flat-footed but when i have a heel and a mini
Starting point is 00:22:46 skirt i am okay hold me down beautiful you're beautiful just all right you know you're my favorite girl oh my god on that note i miss you so much becca um jack i miss you too and on tuesday for a new episode do the ending you we weren't here for a long time but we were here for a beautiful time a beautiful time beautiful later two questions we are gonna it's gonna take us 10 more years of lady gang to get through this fucking list okay whatever you're welcome lady gang is produced by alex ingberg will sterling and steve delamater make sure that you rate and review this podcast where you listen to it please it makes a huge difference and also subscribe so you never miss an episode and if you really love the episode we want to hear from you
