Starting point is 00:00:31 it's time for a quickie podcast one presents the lady gang the hollywood girl posse with lady gang quickie here's kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanik let's make this quick hello hello hello welcome to the lady gang quickie i am becca tobin here with jack vanik and Kelty Knight. Hello. Giddy and Callie. It's time for the reveal. What reveal?
Starting point is 00:00:57 Oh, the wedding dress. Oh, okay. So I'm showing back of my wedding dress. Yes. On video. If you're listening on audio, we're also recording video.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Yep. But Jared's in the room and I'd like him... I'm not going to turn it around. We can't... No, and we can't ruin it. You can't describe it. I'm not going to say a word.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Yeah. I mean, I'm going to say adjectives. Yeah. But not descriptive. Yeah. Is that a thing? I don't know. okay so we're looking at the dress it's my first try on when i was like i don't even know if this
Starting point is 00:01:26 is my dress yet wait this was the first dress you tried on no no it was the first time i tried it on oh beautiful like i when i tried it on it wasn't like this is the dress but that's very you yeah there's no way that you were gonna try on one thing and and then be like oh this is it forever yeah like have you seen your pinterest boards it's like a range i love this so much you can like swipe to there's like another angle it's unique i'm allowed to say that yes but like timeless and i'm just so happy yeah i'm happy that you're gonna look like a bride i know i was a little concerned that you were gonna look like a hawaiian tropic model you can do that forever you know but like this is a one moment yes well that's what i kept it
Starting point is 00:02:13 was weird when i was trying on all the dresses i was like this feels too fashiony and like not bridal at all just like a white dress you could wear to a party or something i mean it's like art too it's like art yeah i feel like at becca's wedding if you would have asked me like what you would wear for your wedding it would have been like a crop top and like i agree like you could have gone like you know slit and crop top and stuff and like i just love that this is like a very elevated moment for you like we're going to in france yes jack's gonna be the fancy jack yes no it's very it's i think it's like a combination of all of the things right where i feel bridal but i feel like it does feel like a piece of art yeah it feels super unique yeah
Starting point is 00:02:51 there's a certain aspect of the dress that i literally could not find anywhere else it was the only dress that had it so i'm like yeah i'm so excited but yeah i didn't i didn't cry i didn't get emotional i didn't know so much like i don't know if yeah i'm missing a gene no my parents didn't even cry no is that shocking i think that say yes to the dress has really ruined us yeah because not everyone is like that like and you feel like you're supposed to have this big emotion right like would you rather have your emotion in your store with your dad or would you rather have your emotion on your wedding day with jerry no and i know that will happen you know what i mean so it's like but i went to kleinfeld bridal oh my god it was a dream it was how was it it was
Starting point is 00:03:30 really cool i didn't randy there who's randy the guy from ecs to the dress i've never seen oh my god and i pronounced um piana to penina tourney wrong i pronounced her wrong on a tiktok and i got so much hate so much shit but i like from who but it got like 500 000 views for from everybody on tiktok they're like how dare you pronounce her name wrong and i was like i my friend knew a stylist there and she was like she surprised me with like a try on it was really really sweet but um i didn't i've never seen say yes to the dress i've never seen anything so i was like i don't know what i'm doing oh yeah but when i was there there were multiple brides crying putting on their dresses that's an emotional place yeah and i was like i'm kind of drunk right now
Starting point is 00:04:16 and i'm just like playing dress up and everybody's like it's the dress it's because it's where you go when you are a bride to your core it's like when you've been dreaming about your wedding your whole life yeah absolutely core bride yeah they are throwing the bouquet they are wearing a garter yeah they are having flower girls throwing petals they're doing it yeah that's true which is nothing wrong with it they're classic i'm i'm so glad that we're here today and on camera because there is something i i wanted to discuss with you about the wedding i'm nervous just an idea okay no so i know how much you like to go viral on tiktok oh hell yeah and i still shadow band so yeah yeah me too um so i i do have a great idea for your wedding
Starting point is 00:05:03 it's a little humorous but i thought since we showed up at becca's wedding uh if you were not a fan of lady gang when becca got married in 2015 16 2016 she got married in a winter wedding and she had this apres ski party the rehearsal dinner was like cozy chic yeah apres ski yeah and kelty and I took that very literally we interpreted that interpreted and interpreted that as like it was like a ski themed party so I came in like a flannel plaid one piece with a fur boot and a giant like fur hat and fur collar and I came in the exact same thing yeah and we and we we got there and everyone was just wearing like beautiful dresses with like little fur shawls and we were like oh this is not a costume yeah i thought it was a costume party that's okay no anyway so stand
Starting point is 00:05:54 by my outfit it was cute i mean i worked so hard to find that that's the thing i i sewed those booties myself like we really put a lot of effort i said my part of my onesie too i was like i'm gonna look perfect yeah we really wanted to like really like we were like no no because this actor people they'll play it down like we gotta go for it like we really tried because we just want to make each other happy you know and so anyway so now it's your wedding oh god what's i have this idea so there's this trend where like instead of having a flower girl they have like men go down and they're like the flower man okay what if you have a flower lady and it's me and becca and we just dance down the aisle and we throw the flowers but also like jello shots we can have we can have
Starting point is 00:06:39 trays of um wait no fire yes fireball because we we want to have everybody do a shot of fireball together like everybody especially sober people especially we could do fire i don't think i have anybody going sober it's like i feel like i could do an interpretive flower dance and then becca could come down with the fireball and we could be like the flower fire ladies wait i i was also you're into this i didn't know this idea okay i like a job on the day of the wedding i love a job And I feel like I'm not going to have enough jobs. Oh, God. No, but you already promised me that you both will be my, like, viral makers.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Like, you're going to help me with my viral moments. Yes. For sure. And this could be one. Wait, I love this. Yeah. Because, like, you need, like, a little bit of, like, fun happening before. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Because everyone's so nervous. I don't want it to be, like, this, like, super, super serious. I mean, I know it'll be serious and emotional. Yeah. Because, like, I have to walk down the aisle. I've been trying to get out of it. But, like, I know I have to do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:33 But I like this because it'll, like, lighten the mood. Yeah. Are you feeling stressed lately? And you're gonna be like everyone's happy now i can be happy yeah also if you would like i will start the applause as jared walks down the aisle because that helps yeah it really helps someone started applauding zach and then the whole room started like coming alive hearing like we were at a
Starting point is 00:11:33 sporting event and i think that really like lifted the energy of the yes i love this so i'm happy to do that for jerry i'm like a little jerry chant yeah totally um wait and then i need you to be like obnoxious when you're doing your dance she doesn't know any other babe i'll do i would do like i'll do a onesie like you know those green screen onesies that people put on with everything but your face i will hot glue gun your choice of flower and come out the whole thing in a full flower onesie and then you can wear your costume from lady king tv the fire that you did i don't have that skating in because it was like flames and you can be fired no i think this is going too far we need like a little bit of class okay okay no no no you're right you're right it took
Starting point is 00:12:18 it too far are you i'm gonna be i'm not like i could be like yeah i want you to do like an interpretive dance yeah and then i'll like just go over i'll go over to someone it just sounds like demi lovato confident she'll have ptsd live lady you won't break myself anyway why aren't you doing a uh themed party for your rehearsal dinner i don't i haven't thought about it you should should i yeah but like you love themes i know what could it be though like i still wanted to be like fancy and classy i think it well what parisian chic and everyone wears like no that's like embarrassing yeah it's a beret what if it's like something like just a color like golden oldies or like sparkles and gold or something yeah i like those when it's
Starting point is 00:13:06 like not this but like rhinestones and feathers like when it's like a yeah okay chaps and leather Chaps and hats. Like, I like a great Gatsby, but not great Gatsby, but, like, maybe a Parisian version of that, like, old-timey. I think it's so fun to have everyone in sparkles. What if it's Prohibition because we're on a vineyard? I mean, it's not a vineyard. Well, like, near a vineyard. Something.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Yes. We need to brainstorm. But I like a theme. Yeah, I had a Gatsby party for my actual, like, wedding party here in L.A. Yeah. Because I didn't want to invite anyone to my wedding. You do have to think people are going to be packing, though. Yeah, so you want it to be easy to pack.
Starting point is 00:13:43 It's like, what can I buy from Revolve and then put on my body? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe just like an accessory. Should it be red? Well, I want to do like a red. I want the wedding color theme like for people to be bright, like bright colors. Oh, for the actual wedding day? Yeah, like guests and bright.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I love that. Whoa, okay. Like how bright is bright? Yellow? Bright, yeah, bright, bright. So maybe you can't have a directive for the night before. Well, Alex and Josephine had a white party and it was fun. That is fun.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Yeah. But, like, that's not special for me. Yeah, she's going to be in white the next day. What do you want to wear? And then you work backwards. Yeah, exactly. She's, like, cowboy boots and a top top. Maine t-shirt and Uggs.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Jared's putting on a concert. Should it be everyone in Maine merch? It could be a rock and roll t-shirt party. What do you think, Jared? Yeah. Yeah. Or that actually, actually, that would be great. I don't know if you're doing a morning after thing, but there's always, like, that would
Starting point is 00:14:39 be a great morning after. Rock and roll brunch. Whoa. Cute. Because it's an ode to the group. I'm like, maybe I need to make everybody merch. Like, maybe there's like a fun wedding. You absolutely have to make merch.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Merch. That everybody gets. Yeah. But it's like a rock and roll t-shirt, so you can wear it. Or I can wear my Rolling Stones t-shirt. It should be a tour tee. For your wedding. Oh, cute.
Starting point is 00:15:01 That's cute. And everybody gets it for like the hangover brunch. Cute. Wow, guys. This is great. Yeah, you're welcome. We're wedding planning here, Jared. I'm so smart.
Starting point is 00:15:11 I hope you like all the ideas. And if you don't, you're out. What are the temperatures going to be in the evening of your wedding? I think, so, like, the highs in September in, like, the Burgundy region are, like, mid-70s. Burgundy region. So, like, I think, like, a low or high 60. That's amazing. Yeah, it'll be nice and cool.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Jared, I had to make sure. Sweaty Betty over here. We were late in the year enough, so we wasn't sweating through. Well, honestly, nothing is, sorry to the summer brides. but like it's kind of annoying when you go to a wedding for men especially in summer and they're in a suit and we have to sit outside in the blazing hot sun i know it's like it's so chris night sunburns very quickly yeah obviously why are we making people do this yeah well and the chateau doesn't have air conditioning so if you're doing like a summer summer wedding you're yeah
Starting point is 00:15:59 this is great it's like this will be nice i love this so much um the next dress we have to find is your mom's i know where does a mom mother of the bride shop that's like not lame but like not real real like she's trying to be i feel like there's so i i christian siriano i feel like for some reason in my mind maybe it's because he did leah's mom's dress no it's not available to the normies yes it is no it is but it's expensive how much is a christian siriano dress like thousands i don't know how much thousands he doesn't have a 10 000 no like $2,000. That's absolutely what her mother should be spending on a dress.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Yeah. I mean, maybe. Yes. It's her special day, too. Yeah, that's true. I mean, every fitting, the woman should get a $2,000 gown. She should at least be making an hourly rate. Yes.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Like $100 an hour. I feel like you should Albright it and go and have her try on a million things and have something designer that's really extra fabulous that would normally be $10,000. But then is she going to be nervous? Is your mom the type? My mom would literally be, like, so nervous all night if she didn't own the dress. Oh, okay. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Maybe. I mean, it'd be worth doing a little try-on. Yeah, I think so. And then also... Do they have, like, boomer-aged stuff at Albright? Yeah, they have everything. They have everything. And I also feel like on some of the resale sites, like...
Starting point is 00:17:20 Like the RealReal? Like, I went on gowns and then just started, like, high to low for award season. And I was like, I mean, just see what's there. and they have like a beautiful like if you want people in color like there's just so much red that people have worn and like that could be really like a pretty gucci thing like make her feel fancy i know that's like that's the next big thing yeah i'm so excited it was very stressful when i got married the first time my mom had like a full-on cry breakdown about her dress and it was like very stressful for me sorry if you're watching mom but that was really hard well it's mom's i
Starting point is 00:17:47 know it's like a big deal for them i know and i was like if they only knew she only knew this was gonna last 11 months she probably wouldn't have stressed out so much about that dress probably shouldn't pay too much for a dress you know um i am also did i tell you guys i tried on my mom's wedding dress yeah and it fits me like a glove yeah so i gotta figure out something to do with her wedding dress too why you were at the engagement party i mean the engagement um photos bridal shower it's stained it's i'm not doing your bridal shower you and your friends go out all the time all the time it's not like it's me and kelty who have never leaving our house Your friends enjoy getting dressed, going out, having cocktails.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Like, why on earth would you not just make one of your pizza box parties a freaking bridal shower? That's right. Pizza box game. Yeah. Bridal shower edition. You're the easiest person to do that. Your friends would be stoked. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:38 It's true. Then I can wear my mom's wedding dress. Yeah. You need an excuse to do that. You could bar hop in her dress. That'd be so fun. What if you just did a bar hop? What is it called?
Starting point is 00:18:47 Yeah, bar hop. Bar hop. Club zone? What? Boomer? club zone what the hell is a club zone no a bar is that what it's called when you go around to different bars yeah a club pub crawl bar crawl was not a what did i call it drink so you could do the thing where where have you seen it where girls go out in all their wedding dresses like
Starting point is 00:19:12 it's a way for women to re-wear their wedding dresses wait i'll wear mine okay i probably can't mine i definitely can't put an extender on it me too just like zip it up halfway my butt would be like i'll do a turtleneck under yeah i love it well jack we're so excited for you i feel like we got we made some real we're making moves in progress thank the lord we weren't here for a long time we're here for a dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun Thanks for listening.
