Well, what is this?
Welcome to the Lady Gang.
That's amazing.
Say that again.
The Lady Gang.
Things are about to change around here.
Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse,
Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek.
Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the Lady Gang.
I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight.
Hello, Kelty.
That was, what were you doing over there?
I'm trying to get comfortable and not look like a loser,
but that's not possible i really like your face when you're really focused on something it has a
lot of double chins oh yeah it's like the quarantine face is all the faces the botox
i've not i didn't even realize my forehead could make these moves it's been so long since my
eyebrows have been able to really express we were we just went to dr diamond right before this
happened well we were talking about the fact that somehow some way quarantine has made my botox
just fade away at the speed of light yeah yeah i guess mine's mine's pretty worn off
it really wants you to look your worst you know that's true i'm certainly i'm certainly there
um okay well now it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no um who wants to start
I'll go okay okay okay so my good week it was my mom's birthday last week so we had a quarantine
birthday and we're out in my parents backyard having some cocktails you know just chatting
or whatever and all of a sudden we see this stream of cars coming down the road honking and like
yelling and whistling and shit so I go to see what it is and it's a bunch a line of cars for
a different birthday. So I'm like, Oh, what's the occasion? They're like, that's a 10 year
old's birthday down the street. Like everybody had their balloons. It was so cute. So we go to
the front of the house and film the whole thing. Cause it was super cute. And then my dad sends
it into our family group chat. And he was like, you guys look, everybody in the neighborhood came
out to support me on her birthday. Look how loved she is. No. And my entire family group chat is
like, Oh my God, this is the most touching thing I've ever seen. Wow. May. I didn't know you touch
so many people. Oh my God. That's amazing. It was for some like 10 year old kid down the street.
It was epic. What did you do for your mom's birthday? What we've done pretty much every,
every day. We bought s'mores stuff, but we didn't end up making them cause it was too cold out. But
you know, had some cocktails. I've turned into a master craft cocktail maker. So guys,
I have a confession. What? I had to stop marshmallows. No, no, no. I had to stop. I
love marshmallows. I had to stop drinking because I was waking up every morning and I wasn't sure
if I had COVID or a hangover. Oh my God. You know, it's old. It's that slight hangover that
it's not, it's not enough of a hangover to really just stop your entire day, but it lingers with
you and you can't really do anything. Well, and I'm like this weird dull headache has not gone
away for so many days. And I'm like, well, do I feel like crap because I keep drinking every night
or is it COVID? So I actually, tonight will be like the first like Friday night that I won't be
getting blackout. And I'm kind of worried. Also, I need to get blackout for you. Okay. I need to
go back to something Jack said. We bought s'mores in Southern California and we didn't make them
because it was too cold. I just want to let you know fully that it's actually never too cold in
california to do an outside activity like even when you're supposed to do it on the coldest day
in california it is if i in the middle of canada made s'mores in the middle of winter
y'all could have made the s'more we we are california girls and my mom is the coldest
running person in the entire world like she thinks it's cold when it's 86 degrees out so
it was too chilly for her to make s'mores for her birthday so you know now it's 90 degrees so we're
good to go good to go because like my bad week okay yeah my bad week is um pretty pretty simple
you know how i got that massive water bottle and like the one good thing coming out of quarantine
is i'm drinking like 80 ounces of water a day yeah well i didn't realize that drinking a massive
amount of water out of a straw gives you really really bad gas so it's kind of backfired and i
have had the worst stomach pains of my entire life for the past two weeks and i thought it was from
all of the cheese i've been eating but it is from the water i've been drinking so i don't think you
get gas from straws i did a lot of research oh you did because you end up like gulping in all this
air and i was drinking that water like it was going to slow down jack maybe so i went to something
i went to order that water bottle but i have bad news it's actually too much water for your size
person every day you can actually drink too much water you're supposed to take your weight and half
it and that's how many ounces of water you're supposed to have in a day and that water bottle
is way more than that and i was drinking like a water bottle and a half yes so you shouldn't your
stomach hurts yeah you're drowning yourself yeah is that what it is you're drowned yeah maybe it
wasn't the straw it was just the water yeah yeah i don't think you couldn't drink enough water
it's no no drinking you can drink too much water let's go on to the next topic idiot good week i
learned how to say see you next tuesday in spanish oh hasta proximo martes is there a word for in
spanish or no i'm not i'm just learning my verbs right now okay but i would say
becca you're a senora because you're married and jack you're a senorita
and you say and then i would say okay gotta go bitches hasta proximo martes martes is a song
about the days of the week lunes martes lunes martes miracles that's wednesday anyway
asta means that's how i learned my congratulations and then i could say and my seven-year-old nephew
have the same level of spanish yeah and that's gonna fly right out of your other ear as soon
as you stop practicing it's i'm practicing all the time i talk to everyone in spanish
I'm proud of you. Um, have you been calling Mariana, the, um, housekeeper that we share?
Yes. So she's bilingual. Yeah. She's the only reason that I want to learn Spanish because I
want to, I want to talk to her when she's here all the time. So yesterday I had, she asked me,
she said, I know, um, I haven't been cleaning the house and I've, you know, I've been paying
her. Cause I, you know, and I, she said, Oh, do you feel safe enough to, to work? And I said,
it means, um, uh, I'm feeling like I'm hoping you'll be able to clean my house in a few weeks.
Um, isn't this crazy? Oh, okay. Um, this is actually a really good time for my public
service announcement oh god every single person should be still paying their housekeepers because
i know some monsters in los angeles who didn't know yeah who stopped wealthy monsters wealthy
monsters yeah if you have a lot of money and can afford it then yeah you have to keep paying these
people um anyways that was my psa uh yes gracias becca yes de nada um my bad week no my good week
is that i sort of feel like i'm in middle school in high school again like before we got into this
on-demand bullshit with tv where i know what night my favorite shows come on again and i look forward
to them. So like Wednesday and Thursdays are just such good TV nights for me that it actually
kind of fuels my fuels my week. Like I have something to look forward to.
I sadly, my Wednesday night is also exciting because I have gotten sucked to get in again
to the math singer again. Like I'm like the show is the dumbest shit I've ever seen in my life,
but i can't wait to watch it can you believe banana was brett michaels i know didn't sharon
osborne say i can see that teeny body from anywhere he's like there's little brett michaels
legs and i was like wait does he have a teeny body apparently he's you know how all the rock
stars always are like short and like so skinny because that's why they become rock stars because
they have dates in high school and they can never play sports i never realized he was so tiny on
Rock of Love. I always thought he was a normal sized man, but apparently he's a top. So small.
What's your bad week? Uh, okay. So my bad week is, this is also going to sound awful. Um, so I know
everybody's like hustling really hard and like trying to get things done, but I am really sick
of seeing like really rich people ask for help during this time like for their businesses and
things oh god like so many dms lately from small business owners quote small business owners but
like people that i know who are independently really wealthy like being like hey it would be
mean so much to me if you posted about this on earth day we're doing this thing for blah blah
blah, for mother's day for this, for that, for whatever. And I'm like, I want to support small
business. And I don't think it's nice of me to discriminate just because you're independently
wealthy, that your small business isn't as valuable, but like, quite frankly, it's not.
You're not wrong. Like I want to support, you don't need this for your livelihood. Like no,
like side hustle for you, but you don't, you're not going to die off of it. Yeah. Like I,
I just know that you live in like a really expensive house and like your significant
other makes millions of dollars. So like, I just, I want everyone to think, I want you to go inside
your hearts. And before you ask for help, ask yourself, am I the person who needs it the most?
This did happen to me for somebody that I follow on Instagram. That's business relied a lot of
on gathering of people. Right. And I'm like, that sucks so bad. Like, I hope that they're
going to be okay. And then I saw their view from the Hollywood Hills and their massive pool
surrounded by all these beautiful palm trees. And I'm like, nope, I don't think I feel sorry
for you anymore. Nope. Nope. No, this, this, this quarantine has really brought out the best
and the worst in people. It really has a lot of worst in me for sure. No, I don't think so.
You know, you had a moment in the beginning that was a little frightening, but I think that you've
really honed it down. I think so too. I think you're at your best self right now. And I think
it's because I'm sleeping like 14 hours a day. Yeah. But you're also still working. Yeah. Now
I'm back to work. When you weren't shooting ET, I was like, Jack, what are we going to do? What
what are we going to do? I almost, I almost went to your house and like cut whatever
wifi wire I could find. Like I wanted to disconnect your brain. Yeah. You like made
some comment. You're like, do you miss like being around me? I was like, I can feel your energy
stronger, right? That manic energy is stronger now than if I was sitting right now, if we were
sharing a bed in New York city. It's so true. You had some vibes going. It's especially it's
especially. It is very funny to me because I had always been like, if I just slow down,
I'll be happier. And then Chris is like, do you still want to like move to Costa Rica when we're
40 and like, you know, retire? And, and I was like, no, I need a purpose. And my purpose is
working. God, I'm sucked in. I also, have you guys found that you're like sick of your own company?
i hate myself i hate myself so much all of it i really just realized how one-dimensional i
am like i really just scroll through the same thing over and over again and i thought i would
really expand into like a higher being now during this time and it hasn't happened we is who he is
we is who he is we is and i have um what's it called like when you go back to a way you were
I have regressed into 2009, like, Las Vegas, Dancer Kelsey, where I stayed up till, like, 4 a.m. and slept until, like, 1.
Like, the other day I had an interview at 11 a.m. and I was like, oh, my God, it's so early.
Like, what?
11 a.m.?
I used to go to work at 4 in the morning.
Like, what the fuck?
I think I am.
We had to record our audio book.
We had to start at 9 a.m.
Yeah, that was hard.
I didn't sleep the night before because I was so anxious that I had something to do the next day.
Same. Actually, you know what? I know it's going to happen to me when this ends. I'm so,
I'm so prepared for it, but I'm so scared. So, you know, when you have nothing going on and
then suddenly you have one thing and then that one thing, the buildup to that one thing is like
creating so much anxiety. And then you're like, like after we recorded the audio book, like,
first of all, it's not that much pressure because we've already written it. We're just reading it.
we're reading it. It's not live. We can go back if we up. And I was like, okay. The day before I
went on like a really long walk, I went over it. It's like, it was an audition for Spielberg. And
I'm like, what is wrong with me? And then the, and then I finished that afternoon and I was like,
I need a nap. Like, Oh my God. I told Alex, I was like, wow, I am just so glad it's over.
And that I went first and it's over with like a weight is lifted off my shoulders. Like it was
the SATs like what is wrong with us we're gonna have to go back to real life and we're gonna have
those experiences like every couple days do you remember when we were filming a television show
wait wait our guest is here we gotta go bye
now back to the lady gang have you ever moved to New York City to pursue your dreams
today's guest is currently starring as the gal to have those dreams smashed in her face
a feeling becca and i know all too well well mostly me got a secret gotta keep it better
lock it in your pocket because this guest is our fave and after four and a half years of asking
we are finally welcome the queen of brows the queen of instagram bow hairstyles a woman who
can say more with her eyebrows than i can in an entire paragraph a fashion icon a host singer and
of course the prettiest little liar she's a people's choice award winner unlike us losers
she is a seven-time teen choice award winner and now she's starring in the hit riverdale spinoff
katie keen who was named after her mother katherine on the show and i happen to have a best friend
forever who is named katherine who i call katie so clearly it was all meant to be please welcome
to the lady gang lucy hale that was a stretch by 15 years that might be the best intro i've
ever gotten so thank you for that that was very well thought out and you know what i have been
trying to do this with you guys it hasn't been a matter of that it was just like scheduling and
what better time than now i'm very excited this is the perfect time and also you've been very
very busy and where did you put all your seven um surfboards um oh my god the truth about this
you don't get them until years after i don't even think i got seven of them i feel like i only got
a few of them and they're since long gone yeah where would you even your house has to be a very
specific decor and what a yes cheap and tacky um but yeah I don't there's something I think my mom
actually might have one she gets she kind of gets pawned off all that stuff because she
she's a bad mama nice um I'm so excited that you are here and I want to know about quarantine life
and how great it is to have Elvis with you I he's right here and he wants to say hello he's right
here um i don't know if you guys are doing quarantine alone but i am i'm uh riding solo
but except for him i i actually think i would lose my mind without him we've yeah but but it's
gotten i've gotten even more crazy dog lady um yeah you know like i i bought him a car seat on
amazon the other day so when we all the rides you're doing go with me i think i'm driving him
crazy though. I think like he's, he's over it. He's like, okay, go back to work. It's time.
The animals are confused for sure. Totally. Is it so shocking to you? Cause I noticed that I'm
feeling like odd because usually in your life, like there's people touching you all the time.
Like someone's miking you in the wardrobe. It's like pulling a thing and the hair and the, you
know, and like, now you're just alone. Like no one's touching you all day, which sounds gross,
but like, no, I want people to touch me. You're right. I need to be touched. Um, no, I always
thought that I was an introvert because I love my alone time but I but now I figured out it's
because I'm always surrounded by people like I actually need human connection I'm losing it I
don't know where you guys are at and all this I mean I'm proud of us it has to be done for the
better of humanity but like okay let's let's I'm I'm over it but I'm sure we all are um but it's
been interesting because I realized I'm not I'm an extrovert I need people I actually had I had
that exact same realization because I always thought that there's like an introverted part
of me but I'm like all I want all I want is human connection but I'm with my parents and my
boyfriend so I have humans but I want anybody else other than them you're like I'm over them
well that's good you have family I know I was kind of I made the mistake of not going home to
Memphis to be with my family at the very beginning but I feel like my family would have disowned me
by now so yeah get out of here yeah um the show is so cute and I know that it's so cute build as
a Riverdale spinoff but if you're not into Riverdale because it's like a little bit too
much murder for me and I'm sensitive um you can just get into your show so I I don't agree that
it just has to be a spinoff it can be its own thing it is its own standalone show and I understand
PR wise why they went the Riverdale spinoff because it's like the biggest thing in the world
um but sort of the tie-in from Riverdale to Katie Keene is Josie McCoy from well flash forwards five
years later moves to New York and becomes Katie Keene's roommate um and then it's just about show
about dreamers living in New York City and just trying to figure their lives out did you ever live
in New York no so I was always scared of New York because there's so many people there's so much
going on there's so much noise there's so much lights and i'm just not that person so i'd always
dreamt of of working there but katie keen was actually my first time living and working there
and it was the best thing that's ever happened to me it like totally broke me out of my shell it was
don't get me wrong i'm i'm you know it's it's overwhelming but yeah yeah but when we got lucky
that we got to film there because so many times they take you to canada which is so true yeah
but we got lucky good old canada nobody wants to go there no one wants to go there rude jack
did you steal anything like the clothes because the clothes um no what's the funny thing same
thing with pretty little liars you don't get to keep anything because um these are both warner
brothers shows and so what they do with all the clothes is they put them into like a rotating
vault or they put them in like there was a pl pretty little liars museum but no i don't get
to keep crap unfortunately rude they would let me borrow but my style is a little different than
katie's anyway oh but i i mean i just love her style well i loved you in the mint green at the
critics choice awards this year i think it was one of the best red carpets you've ever had and i look
at these things like a contact sport like that's how i feel about fashion on the red carpet i'm
like i don't care i know you're not supposed to just be like tell me about the dress but i just
want to tell them the dress that was insane yeah it was pretty i liked that color a lot and thank
you oh so good um okay uh i love your eyebrows and i want to know about if you've ever had a
brow accident okay well if you google pictures of me from like very i'll send i'll have to send
Okay. Yeah. I mean, I was very tweezer happy at probably like 13, 14, 15.
And I, um, yeah, I went through the whole like pencil thing, like the upside down you
eyebrow phase, not cute. And I got lucky that they grew back now. And now I, I truly,
especially during quarantine, like just let them go wild. That's just my only advice for that.
just let them do their thing. I feel like it's sort of liberating, even though I feel like I
look like a troll. It's sort of cool to see what happens when you don't like touch your hair color
for this long or your nails or your face. It's weird. Yeah. You know what? I got scared of
looking at myself in the mirror. I had to do my roots. I have my hair girls send me my root color.
A lot of gray hair. I had no idea because I hadn't seen my natural hair color since I was 14 years
goal. Yeah. I was like, this is depressing. I have to do my roots, but my nails, my nails are bad.
The nails, the nails, the issue I'm having with the growing of everything is that yes,
the grays are in and every, the nails and everything. But then I like went up close
in the mirror and I was like, Oh, if you don't mess with your brows, you also are not taking
stock of your face and you have a mustache. I was like, Oh, I was like, Oh, didn't know she was
year hi husband I just stopped looking at my face in the mirror like all together I'm like none of
this is gonna be good or make me happy at all so I'm just gonna we're just gonna be good for us all
maybe yeah yeah so Lucy does it feel sort of different the second time around on a show like
I mean I know you've been working consistently since you were young but you know Pretty Little
Liars was such a big hit but then to come back and sort of be the anchor of another series does
it feel special does it feel different are you able to appreciate it more because you're like
less terrified of it uh yeah no so what a lot of people don't know is that I actually did a show
before Katie Keene that was very short-lived and no one knew about it because it didn't really get
any publicity it was called Life Sentenced and oh I saw the billboard I saw the billboard yeah I
remember that billboard and that was about it but but Katie Keene felt different like I had the same
feeling about Katie Keene as I did about Pretty Little Liars I was like oh this is so special
this is going to resonate with people um but yeah I mean Pretty Little Liars like I was a baby we
were I was barely 20 I didn't know what I was doing acting wise life wise nothing and so I you
know I spent my 20s on that show so I feel a little more ground I feel like I I'll never fully
know what I'm doing but it's so nice to sort of be to be a leader and like we there's a lot of
people on the show who are new. And, um, I don't know, that didn't answer your question. I'll never
did, but like, it does feel, it does feel special. It feels good. What is one thing you wish that
everyone knew about you that you can't quite get them to get? I don't know. I mean, I'm sure every
young actor, I just don't want to get pigeonholed, you know, there's it's so every actor my age would
say that but you know I think people will always see me as Aria from Pretty Little Liars and that's
totally fine like what a good problem to have but it's kind of my job and it's been my challenge
to sort of like change the direction a little bit and it'll take some time but I think that's
something that'll always follow me around and that's not something I wish people knew about
me because don't get me wrong I'm very grateful for it but yeah I guess I just don't want to be
and and also like with social media it's so easy for people to only see me as Lucy Hale so if they
watch me on tv they can't differentiate Lucy from a character so it gets tricky but it's hard when
you get put in a box as one thing like Becca I feel like you've experienced a similar thing like
it's like teen show and then like but what if you want to do the Nicole Kidman like my face is beat
up halfway in the gutter like you know what I mean like you have the ability to do that but it's like
no one will let you out of your box sometime. Just like combining the people that trust you
and will absolutely be like, yeah, we totally, we're going to give you free reign to do this.
They're kind of hard to find. Do you feel like you're also fighting against this thing where
people, you're frozen in time as a certain age where you're like not getting roles of more mature
women, even though you're becoming that because they see you as this little girl still? Yeah.
Well, a lot of people don't, I guess this is what I want people to know about me. Like I'm 30 years
old people don't people don't know that and i guess one day i'll start to look my age but yeah
i kind of am and like becca you look you look so like you probably have the same problem but i
i'm kind of in this like in between age where i can't play a teenager yeah but no one believes
you as anyone's mother yeah you're definitely not playing a mom no and like i'll read scripts
where it's like 25 years old with a baby but nobody can see me with a baby yeah maybe just
have a baby so what i wanted to break on the podcast yay people are so stupid you'd have to
do that for them to be like oh wow we could well as a mom there are there are actresses out there
i feel like where it did take them becoming mothers to break out of that thing like i think
michelle williams was in that like dawson's creek world for so long and people saw her as a teen and
then she became a mother and got these like incredible mature roles so but she's also
incredibly talented as you are too but I think having a baby's the way to go yeah just pop one
out right now in quarantine which leads solo it'll be an immaculate conception Lucy yeah this
actually leads me perfectly into my next question I know that you love Post Malone and Jack and I
are both also I think is it Jack or Becca I do I do okay I like Post Malone but I wouldn't consider
myself a super fan i'm not a super fan of post malone but i am sexually attracted to post malone
like i think oh yeah and i can't figure out why because i i like his music it's fine but i only
became sexually attracted to post malone i met him at uh during new year's rock and eve he performed
and he wore and i met him and he's the nicest i think that's what it was it's like you don't
expect him to be so personable and genuine and he really is he like took time off to talk to us for
i don't know it's probably just a couple of minutes but yeah i'm into it i totally get it
he just seems like a goofy kind-hearted soul have you seen the pictures of him without tattoos
no without like someone photoshopped it right i don't know if someone photoshopped it oh maybe
it was photoshopped free like it's weird it was from last week but somehow they're gone
they look like before he got famous but oh oh totally different vibe i like a man and a
rhinestone like there's something about it like is it is it because i love dolly pardon is it
because it reminds me of like travis tritt when i was 14 like yes is it like i don't know if it's
like a kelty kelty you forgot about uh jeans man at the gym oh my god there's a hot man i was just
thinking about jeans man lucy you don't know this but there's a man at cbs radford um who for the
last three years has been taunting me in the group gym by coming in when i work out in a jean and
when i first met jeans man i don't know his real name he was wearing bedazzled jeans and i was very
sexually attracted to this man maybe it's like as simple as his wealth even though it's like a
bootleg jean it was it was a bootleg bootleg all right all right when we come back lucy's
going to help you now that you know like she's going to help you fix your life
you're listening to the lady gang okay and we're back so for this part of our podcast we have our
listeners write in their deepest darkest questions anonymously and then we give them the questionable
advice got it ready not good advice it's never good it's fine well i mean it could be it's good
to you but it doesn't have to be healthy advice or anything you know what i mean yeah it's usually
like drink a bottle of wine okay no liability yeah we didn't tell you so but okay so first
question is trying to date in quarantine i've been dating a guy for five weeks and everything
was going great we saw each other every weekend leading up to quarantine had a lot of fun together
and although we never defined the relationship to be exclusive we weren't seeing other people
but when shit hit the fan in new york city we both fled the city to go home to our families
in different states since then i've barely heard from him he's always been a shitty texter usually
taking hours to respond but now that we are both quarantined with nothing going on i can't help to
feel disappointed is he just not into me now that we have different that we're in different places
and should i just let it go or is there something i can do to try to keep this dating relationship
going on without coming off as pathetic um watch he's just not that into me he's if guys want to
get a hold of you they will get a hold of you if they want to talk to you they'll talk to you
i would say something like that because i'm the girl that will try everything even if the signals
are right there really yeah i like try way too hard so she should just let it go and that's like
no I think there's a weird thing with the youngins like I recently saw some tiktokers and one of
them was like I haven't popped the question yet I was like you're too young to get married
they're like the girlfriend question like there's this weird thing with people where it's like we
haven't put the the word in like like we haven't defined the relationship like that's just a weird
like tiktok thing though when you define the relationship you're living together or like I
do? You're married. Like, you know, if you're, I don't know, it feels like she might be scaring
him away in my opinion. Yeah. Well, it's just like a weird, this whole situation is so weird
for people that are dating. Cause what if you, you know, she was seeing him for over a month
and if this didn't happen, they probably may have been in an actual relationship now, but it's hard
to like keep things going. Why is he not communicating? And why is he not trying to
break quarantine? Cause you know, that man, if he's really in a different state, they're in
but yeah you know that there are guys trying to break in they're trying to break quarantine
and if this was like think about kelty think about when our husbands were courting us and
they actually loved us they would have driven across the country to break quarantine what else
are you doing oh yeah people want to see you they will they will yeah it's men are so black and white
and he literally has no reason to not be texting you nobody's doing shit right now so
okay next good advice girl like okay so next question comes from bethany bethany says i've
never had that natural ability to put cute outfits together and i am completely style illiterate
i've always been labeled as artistic and i'm also a retired emo kid myself i'm turning 31 this march
I have three kiddos I'm a very petite five foot tall I still love the punkish looks but it's time
to grow up uh the real problem is that I'm afraid to go shopping and I don't know where to begin I
walk into stores and it freaks me out because I have no idea how to put things together it's a
big point of stress in my life and I just want to feel good about myself I'm stuck living in skinny
jeans and a t-shirt any advice would help first of all three kids at 31 that is impressive um
oh god i i never was a part of the punk scene so if she still like loves that i'm the wrong person
to ask still a way if you're like a jeans and t-shirt type of a gal i think that there's still
a way to elevate that a little bit and with accessories whether you're wearing like gold
necklaces and a heeled boot underneath a jean or you know or like no yeah it's true or like add a
little blazer like a cool oversized boyfriend blazer or if you're in a fashion or style slump
just find pictures of outfits that you like and then you sort of just copy the beauty of the
internet is you just google that item and it pops up yeah look pinterest find stuff i'll like
exactly replicate you know the like street style photos yep save them all to instagram yeah just
look up like a fashion week from new york one year like a punk punk high-end style or something
lucy avril lavigne yes have you been paparazzi'd while walking in your neighborhood during
quarantine yes yes and i think it's because um no one's out and about yeah paparazzi are so
thirsty for photos right now that they've they've resulted to sitting in my neighborhood but but i
got caught the other day without my mask on it was like pulled down and i was oh my god i saw
to see if there was anything that i needed to know before the podcast in the rundown
i saw there was like many of you with the mask and then lucy without her mask
thousand dollar fine oh and you better believe people have attacked me for it but what i did
see is that i was just like mom i'll call you back later pulled it back up oh god no rest the
right time now they're gonna sit outside your house because that picture probably sold yeah
they're gonna wait for you to screw up again you know me guys i you know it's but you don't see
them half of the time because now they have these crazy lenses and they'll just sit in a parked car
with their windows up so it's weird it's so weird they gotta make a living too i don't know
yeah seems like a weird time to be but i have a question about the mask when you're on a walk
like yeah i don't think right now legally if you like live in a neighbor if in a neighborhood you
know yeah i don't i think it's just kind of frowned upon it's a great area yeah you'll
get shamed on the interwebs i did get shamed how have you how have you dealt with like
the constant microscope and scrutiny because I feel like the like world in which you operate in
in Hollywood has probably the most scrutiny of any highest level yeah the highest level and the most
the most trolls yeah um I stay completely off Twitter like just completely off Twitter because
there was a phase where I was probably like middle of Pretty Little Liars when um what really got me
there was like a season in pretty little liars where I gained a little bit of
weight. And so I was obsessed with what people were thinking.
Cause I knew people knew because it was obvious because I was 20 and then I
was 24. Of course, like things are changing.
And so I remember I got obsessed with reading what people thought.
And I was just like, it messes with your head. And so I,
a couple of years ago I was like, you know, screw this.
This is so not worth it. And like, honestly, I don't know how I deal with it.
it's kind of all I know because I've been doing this since I was 15.
Maybe I'm just like so messed up in the head.
I don't know how messed up in the head I am.
Probably.
You just don't care about the same things anymore.
At least my priorities are so different.
Like I just want to do good work and be surrounded by good people and be a
good person and hopefully not completely let myself go during this quarantine.
But, but yeah, I mean, it's hard.
like as a teenager or a young adult, you're not, that's not normal. You're not supposed to have
it. But, but now kids these days with social media, they do. Oh yeah. Living in middle of
nowhere in Midwest. Like it's, it's, it's hard. I don't know how one does deal with that in the
right way. Yeah. See people lose their mind or, you know, go shave their heads, shave their heads.
I've almost had a Britney moment. Yeah. Don't cut bangs. When was your Britney moment?
right before this i had to trim these pieces of hair literally right before this because they got
too long and that is dangerous territory you know but it was like i might have got a little
too scissor happy i might go back and do more but oh your hair looks amazing right now by the way
i'm like staring at this entire thing i have to do my roots um good job it looks good all right
last question okay yeah anonymous says my sister has been dating this guy since high school and
it's a constantly on constantly off with them they got engaged a year and a half ago broke off
the engagement less than six months later because they broke up then they got back together with a
plan to better their relationship broke up literally a whole year later got back together
on and off on and off on and off now he's looking to sign a new apartment lease and we really don't
want our name on the lease since they're so unstable in their relationship my question is
how do i break them up they aren't changing their bad habits and in his words aren't building a
beautiful future how do you break a relationship up ladies what a good family um i mean i think
it's done out of love i get that like if my sister were with someone like you know
how would you break them up you can't they people have to go through their own thing
they're not gonna get out of the bad thing until they reach their breaking point so there's really
nothing you can do but i mean if you're me you would hire a private investigator for your friend
katie's you don't know if he's cheating on her ex-husband and be like i'm pretty sure he's
cheating and then get the proof and show it to her i mean that's like what i would do
not saying that that happened but i do know a private investigator or two oh my god i do say
maybe if there is any way for her to not have her name on that apartment that makes when the
inevitable breakup inevitable breakup happen a lot easier to get the hell out of there yeah i
definitely think try to talk some sense into her but people are gonna date douches and they're
young right it seems like they're young you gotta learn for yourself you know we're all gonna screw
up a million times yep we sure are well lucy thanks for coming on and you guys you can watch
katie keen thursdays at eight seven central on the cw and you've heard us talk about it on this
