Starting point is 00:00:00 Mornings without coffee, road trips without snacks, movies without popcorn. Without our favorite foods, we'd miss out on all our favorite moments. Learn more at canadasfoodsystem.ca. Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse. Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Lady Gang. I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Hello. Hi. We're like big glasses gang minus Kelty. Which is weird because she's normally in glasses. I know. Yeah, I mean, I hate to say it, but I have my glasses. I'm so sick of wearing glasses.
Starting point is 00:00:52 when you actually gotta like cannot see without them it's the most annoying thing in the world every time i put my glasses on they're dirty we could be zillionaires if we could figure out the actual kit you need if anyone has any hot tips i've bought every glass cleaning kit when you're smudgy it's like you need a power washer on these bad boys i don't think that's a normal problem that most people have you're just like exceptionally unacceptable we're starting the We're starting the year off with this. This is not the energy we're bringing into the new year. We're bringing universal problems only. It's not a Kelty problem. It's a lady problem. I mean, I wore glasses for 35 years. I don't think I ever had a big smudge problem.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Well, you're a dry bitch. I'm a greasy bitch. I am a dry bitch. I can't help them. Why are you shaming my fingers being moisturized? They're just oily. I mean, we need those oils. Yeah. I'm going to age like a fine wine. You will. I already am.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Okay. Well. Thank you, Dr. Diamond. Yep. It is time for. Good week. Yes, it is. Bad week.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Oh, no. I'm going to start because I am in excruciating pain because I went and did Fraxel Laser, which was a walk in the park, easy, breezy, beautiful cover girl. And then at the end, it was like, you know, my doctor was like, let's throw in this really great lip peel. And it's like to just sort of rejuvenate your lips because like, you know, you could do exfoliation on your lips and like all like whatever to give the fresh baby skin underneath. So she's like, it's like that, but it's kind of just on crack.
Starting point is 00:02:34 So you'll be, you'll feel a burn. It's not that big of a thing. The healing time, the downtime is kind of the same as fraxel. So you're going to be out of commission anyway. So I was like, yeah, throw it in. We do it. It's great. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:02:48 I'm just recovering the next day. And she gives me an antibiotic ointment to put on it just to like, because your mouth is so dirty, like you're eating, you're drinking. She just doesn't want like that skin to get infected. She gives me an ointment. And then in between the ointment, you do like Aquaphor just to keep your lips moisturized. I start getting blistery, pussy, swollen, crazy lips. Oh.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And I send pictures and I'm like, what is happening? I thought for sure I did something wrong. It had to have been like I must have put my mouth on a dirty gym floor. That's the level of infection that felt like it was happening. Meanwhile, I didn't go to the gym for this reason. So it turns out that I am allergic and newsflash, most people, a lot of people are allergic to Aquaphor. There's an ingredient in it called lanolin. It was the top allergen of 2023, according to TikTok. Not the TikTok doctors. Yeah, the TikTok doctors. I guess dermatology
Starting point is 00:03:51 at their fun conventions, their yearly conventions, they like decide what's the number one allergen. And it was lanolin and it's made out of sheep fat. Sheep fat. Not vegan. Yeah, not vegan. So I am, I discontinue the use of that. I have to like switch everything out, but it took such a long time to figure out that that's what the allergy was. But I'm also kind of like, should it be that hard? Should we be telling people to use Aquaphor if like 20% of the population is allergic to it? Well, that's my whole thing. Cause like, you know, there is like the whole thing about like slugging and people would just like throw Aquaphor, slather it on their face. When I tried to do it, I like completely broke out.
Starting point is 00:04:34 That's what I kept finding on TikTok. Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah. So Vaseline is what I'm supposed to stick to. I'm back to it. But I have like crusty, dry, sore lips. I'm on doxycycline. I'm on like all the things because once it caught the allergy from it, then you get an infection because it's like, it's just so crazy lesson learned i knew that i didn't like appeal like i know and also you have to stop with your lips but it was like when you it was like a swipe of a of a rag like how could how could that it was not obviously because well she lied they lied they're like it's easy it's nothing well it is easy if you're not allergic to what you're putting on your lips every day
Starting point is 00:05:18 afterward four times a day like i think that's why people don't think much of it like it's it It should be. And I went on TikTok and I looked up that exact peel on the lips and people are like, it's amazing. It's so good. I mean, people's results did look beautiful. Mine are not going to be because I'm probably scarred in May. But that's my bad week. Your good week. No, I'm just kidding. That's my good week. It's awesome. You will look beautiful at some point. Well, my Fraxel actually is-
Starting point is 00:05:46 I love a laser. Really. Is Fraxel the one to do? I need to do a laser in January, maybe. It's all very customized as far as what I know. So I think you have to go to somebody that like really knows what they're talking about because I think some people have like underlying melasma and sometimes it's really bad to do certain types of lasers for that, all that jazz. So my fraxel is looking amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:07 So that is, that is wonderful. But my good news is that I have done, I've done something really big of me. So a couple weeks ago, I was talking about how I don't want to be around people who don't watch their kids when they come over. Yes. And there's this girl, I'm not even going to say her name because A, I don't remember it, but B, I'm not giving her any airtime. But a friend of mine sends me this, what's it called?
Starting point is 00:06:37 A stitch, like where somebody puts your video. Someone took your content? Took our content from Lady Yang of me being like, you know, people need to start watching their kids, like blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. out of context, whatever. And then this girl is sitting in front of it and she's like making fun of me. And she's like, like making me sound like a crazy bitch. She's making all these faces. And then she's like, wow, she sounds like a fun time. Like, why would you have kids? Like, and then everybody in the comments is like, wow, talk about mom shaming, blah, blah, blah, blah,
Starting point is 00:07:04 blah, blah, blah. So, you know, I'm very reactive and I start writing something. Are you? Yeah. Right. I start writing in the comments. I did say this. I said, hi, it's me. I just don't really enjoy when kids are on my dining room table or try to ride my dog like a pony you know so and then people still kept jumping in like mom shaming and then I was like you know what I wanted I had this whole I was gonna post this whole thing with me reposting her stitching me which is just like so a triple stitch meta meta um but and I was gonna say you know it's really interesting to me that I'm the one getting called out for mom shaming. Yet when I talk about these things,
Starting point is 00:07:46 I never give names. I never show pictures. I never have videos. I never call anyone in particular out. It's a proverbial you, right? This bitch is doing the most mom shaming thing of all time by taking my content to get her engagement to make fun of or to like criticize me and the way that I feel as a mother. And so I like had this whole thing like a dissertation because I was like, how dare this bitch making a living in her bathrobe? Like, how dare she use me and my face out of context? And then you know what I did? This is what the new me does. I take a breath. I write it down what I'm going to write. And then I walk away and I came back and I was like, why would you ever bother? Why would you ever give this bitch any airtime again?
Starting point is 00:08:31 Like, let it let it die. And that's what I did. I mean, congrats, though. I would have liked to see that and then i also think it would have like opened up this nice like viral sensation of like a moment that would have been good for us i mean it's not too late i still feel a little pang of like god i really i don't get it because it's not like the point that you made was a very good point where it's like watch your kids if they come over so it's like was her point like i should let my kid be able to run amok at somebody else's house and also what if something happens to that kid at your house. Yeah, you get sued. You get sued. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, I don't want some kid like kamikaze-ing off my dining room table like one tried to do. Yes. Yeah. Like, I think the point
Starting point is 00:09:18 is a very good, I don't know how you could like refute that in a way that's like, other than I don't want to watch my kid. Well, people on our post were like, because it did go kind of virally and people were like, sounds like she does, like, is she a mother? And I was like, oh, she's a mother and honestly becca i think that should be your brand i think the way you talk about being a parent and motherhood is so refreshing because you call it out and i think you should do a signature series on social media that's just like can we not mother tips and it's just like it's tough love parenting where you're like guess what i don't want your christmas card guess what that actually is such a good idea I mean I know because there is like a whole group
Starting point is 00:10:05 of people that feel that way but you're so scared because someone will stitch you and you'll be not lovely most people feel that way it's also just so crazy because in the in the clip I was like I need you to watch your kid like a hawk like when you're over and obviously I don't mean that and for someone to be too dumb to realize I don't mean you should helicopter over your child while while they're over so all these people were just like I get a lot of flack for not I guess giving a little bit more flexibility and freedom to some parts of parenting um you talk in like absolutes that's just like what you do yeah that's who you are who's interesting to listen to when they're like well so if you come over I want you to watch your kid but let them have fun but then
Starting point is 00:10:51 keep an eye on your kid no like shut up everybody stop stitching me I'm a psycho I know like I don't need the internet talking about how I sound like such a good time to be around. I know I'm not a good time to be around. That's why I don't want you around. Sounds like a delight. And I'm going to say this. Let's clip that. Yeah, that's the clip. Good night. Our work is done. Thank you for coming to this episode. Night, night. Yeah. So there we are, guys. And Jack, if we need some downloads, I'm happy to go back and make a viral moment. I think you should. Just test it out and And then you can do like a mother series or whatever it's called. It could be mother trucker and it's you.
Starting point is 00:11:32 And instead of the swear word, you just hold up one of Ford's little trucks. Oh, this is genius, Kelty. No, or you can say like, you can say mother, but then it bleeps out. And it's just Ford being like, and it's a truck. Mother trucker. This is good, you guys. I actually did just at a girl's like small gathering. this was right before the holiday like right before Christmas somebody was like Becca I need
Starting point is 00:11:58 to get your address um for my Christmas card and I said no thank you it felt great so I don't get many Christmas cards I think I got two in the mail and I'm like but I do like I I enjoy the picture like the picture is okay acknowledgement that I matter like I actually got a bunch this year. And I was like, maybe I'm reneging my Christmas card. Hey, I think it's beautiful. I think it's cute. But like, I definitely don't need like the five paragraph update about like your son going to a new college. Like that's not I don't care. I just like I'll look at a picture of you. I'll give you five seconds. And then like, that's it. Yeah. Okay, I'll go. Okay. My bad week is that I had something happen for the first time in my Uber life. I was in an Uber
Starting point is 00:12:50 and it got pulled over by the cops and I didn't know what to do like my ride is not over I have not reached my destination but like also I'm not getting there in the time that you promised on the app estimated arrival has been delayed like they bit and then it was like did they have the and then they went to get the paperwork out of it like it's like a normal and I'm just sitting in the back. I'm like, hey, what did they get pulled over for? I don't know, because I it was I think they made an illegal turn, which, you know, here's the thing. I aborted. I was like, you know what? I got places to be. So I literally was like, thank you. And then I got out. And then I was like, this is so weird. Like, what a time to be alive. Anyway, I it was weird.
Starting point is 00:13:39 I just had a thought. I was like, can that be legal that they let a passenger out of a car that's being pulled over because, you know, normally when you get pulled over, if you're not Uber drivering, everybody in your car needs to stay there in case something has to be searched or whatever. So yeah, like what if he was driving and I took the beer can with me? Right. And if what if you guys are drug dealers and you guys are so smart where you're like, hey, we're going to play off that we're Uber so that if in fact we get pulled over, I'm going to pretend like I'm just this businesswoman and, you know, in Hollywood run for And I can take my bag of drugs and just walk away and then they can be left.
Starting point is 00:14:15 You know, this is this is smart. That is actually a really smart move. Becca is savage. Mornings without coffee. Road trips without snacks. Movies without popcorn. Starting point is 00:14:34 My good week is that we are starting the new year off strong with a hot tip. I read a New York Times article. There is scientific proof that sleeping with stuffed animals is good for you. Who did this study? New York Times. No, but where'd they get their data? I don't think they're doing sleep studies at the New York Times office. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:15:03 It was actually a collaboration between, I mean, I'll link it if you want. It's between New York Times and Disney World. Sounds biased. No, it was a bunch of- Sounds like they lobbied those- So it's actually not stuffed. Okay. So it's not stuffed animals.
Starting point is 00:15:18 I think they took some editorial, you know, they weren't necessarily stuffed animals, but sleeping with something soft in your arms. Like pillows and blankets? Like in a bed? like, but you have to hold it. So it has to be a very. I do actually agree with this because I do hold a pillow. Like it is kind of a stuffy and it does soothe me. It's soothing. It's like calms your nervous system. It tells your brain. And also there was, okay, I will link the study, but there was study that like in your dreams and your deep sleep, because you have something to
Starting point is 00:15:56 like grip, it makes you feel more safe. And then it gives you like better dreams or whatever. Anyway, Jack, 2026, Stuffy's Forever. Well, I don't sleep with the stuffed animal. I only sleep with, like, I just have Smiley. I own him. I don't sleep with him. You did on tour. You slept with some kind of Stuffy on tour.
Starting point is 00:16:17 Did I bring, like, a Squishmallow on tour? You guys had both. Oh, yeah. No, we got them. I still have mine. I still sleep with it. Oh, we got them at, like, Target. You gave up?
Starting point is 00:16:25 No, I gave up the Squishmallows, which I'm very proud of. because now I got those coop pillows. I think I talked about them. They're basically like a squishmallow, but I just cocoon myself. I think it's comforting because it makes you feel like you're in the womb. Like if you're like connected,
Starting point is 00:16:41 there's no like empty space around you. So that's how I feel about sleeping with a, holding on. I'm putting a coop pillow in my notes because we should link that to my shop my. To your shop my? Ours. Oh, yeah. I want to try a coop pillow.
Starting point is 00:16:57 No, they're the best pillow ever. I've, like, talked about it a million times. Is it C-O-O-P? Yeah. And they have, like, the microfiber filling, like they do, like Squishmallows do. But you can put in more or take some out. So it's, like, I love it. Anyways.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Too many options for me. I can't do that. Well, then just take it how it comes. That's, like, when Sweetgreen asks what kind of dressing I want, medium or light. I always choose the wrong one. Oh. Heavy, medium, light. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:23 Dude, Sweetgreen has been giving me the f***ing shits. It's the only thing that makes me diarrhea. It's giving me old school Chipotle runs. And actually, I'm not complaining. I love the feeling. No, it's like destroying my stomach and nothing. It was very weird. We got one by us and I was so excited.
Starting point is 00:17:42 But every time we've eaten there, I'm like, I want to die. Like, it's not great. Anyways, my good week is I was at this antique shop and I'm going to pay for these. Judith went to antiquing. Every weekend I'm going to an antique shop. So I'm at the antique shop and I turn around and I see the man that sells all of the large format art at the antique market in Long Beach. He's the guy that I've gotten all of my good art for. And I look at him. Okay. I have maybe seen him three times in my life. Like I'm not really paying attention to this man's face, But for some reason, I recognized him immediately without doubt. And before I even realized what I was seeing, I was like, you're the art guy. And I just like said that straight into his face without being like, Jack, that's such a weird thing to do. And he's like, yeah, I'm the art guy. And then I was like, can I get your number? Because like, I really want to like look through all of your I was saying all this without even think why am I asking him for his number?
Starting point is 00:18:44 And he's like, no, you can just, like, come visit me at the antique market. But it made me really realize, like, when people see celebrities, like, out and about and how they just, like, blurt shit out. Like, I've had, not that I'm a celebrity, but I've had so many girls, I'm, like, in public, and they're like, Jack Vanek. And I'm like, yeah, it's me. And I'm like, now I get it because I did it to the art guy. So he, like, doesn't, he doesn't want to have a special relationship with you? No. No. Like, he was very uncomfortable with the way that I was speaking to him. But I get it because it's like I was I was very, like, excited.
Starting point is 00:19:20 You're too familiar. Too familiar. Too familiar. And asking, like, taking liberties about, like, I'm like, thank God Jared was there because he would have thought I was, like, trying to hit on him or something. Is he a hot art guy? He's like, he's like in his 50s. He's pretty attractive. Oh my God, we're so old that we're saying men in their 50s are attractive. I know. I'm like, he's not that much older than us. oh god damn it i know but i really i'm like oh now i get it like when people when you see somebody and you're like oh it's you um my bad week is i have started pelvic floor therapy
Starting point is 00:19:54 oh fun and i mean it's good that i'm like starting it um it's bad because if you don't know what it is it's somebody sticking their fingers either in your vagina or in your butthole and i'm like fine like I'm not like squeamish or weird with like medical stuff or like whatever but there was a point when she was checking my like vagina stuff going on that she would not not make eye contact with me ew like her fingers were inside my vagina was she talking to you yes because you have to do you have to be like squeeze here and now push this way I'm gonna push this way on your on the left and then you need to push back against it but like she was locked like the eye contact was locked in and i'm like this is so bizarre like you can stick your finger in my vagina and i'll do
Starting point is 00:20:47 the exercises but look away like wait do the finger go in the butt too yeah yep i hate to say it but clip this um i i uh i have a suggestion because i do the same thing in pilates i feel very awkward when i'm doing like the spread equals circles because you know i don't wear underwear with my leggings and i'm like you can see my vagina um i like i like to say i close my eyes because i have to focus so i think you should walk in and be like i realize like i just need to focus and bring a little sleepy eye mask and put it on. That's not that bad. Just don't even announce it.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Just lay on the table and close your eyes. Yeah. So I was. I was, and then she was, like, really talking to me a lot. And then you open, like, one eye to check, and she's looking right at you. That's, like, my sex life. You know, where, like, I wonder if I look at him
Starting point is 00:21:41 if he's still going to be staring at me. And he is. Yeah. I've been, like, randomly kissing Jared with my eyes open. Ew. I actually did this in my 20s. I had a boyfriend point this out, actually. That you kiss with your eyes open?
Starting point is 00:21:53 Uh-huh. That's so funny. Not like a make-out sesh, but like going in for a kiss. Like I just keep them open. That's what I've been doing. It's kind of fun. Especially when their eyes open. I think it creeps them out.
Starting point is 00:22:05 He's like, what are you doing? And I was like, I don't know. What's kissing? What is kissing, right? What is it? Who knows? Who knows? I wish anyone would put their fingers in my vagina for 2026.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Really? I wish no one would ever. i'm going tomorrow and it's definitely gonna be another butthole because like she she we've just we've discovered and discussed that nothing's wrong with my vagina so we're moving into the butthole no of course it's your butthole well i know it's your butthole but that's what i said i was like i don't i'm not having no problems here they're like we still gotta do it we gotta do the assessment and i was like okay a waste of an appointment and then now and then now they do this thing where they're like they're supposed to like put a balloon up there and then like
Starting point is 00:22:47 Because you're supposed to work on the sphincter muscles. It's a Kegel. A Kegel. Sphincter Kegel. In your butthole. Yeah. So. I.
Starting point is 00:22:55 What? Wait. Nothing. Keep going. No, I'm done. I was going to say something really gross. No, just go. What?
Starting point is 00:23:02 What if you shit when you're doing it? No, no, no. Okay. On that note, when we come back, we're finishing. Well, no, let me just say it. Okay. Okay. this is reminding me of i worked with a girl who was very like woo woo kind of spiritual like one
Starting point is 00:23:22 of those people who at any moment could be pulled into a cult and she at one point in time spent some time in northern california at a you know what do you call it a retreat retreat whatever Yeah. Where monastery, I don't know, where it's called O or OM is the name of the group of people. And you actually allegedly just lay there and you get somebody masturbates for you. Sounds like every other cult I've ever heard of. But the whole idea of the cult is working through sexual stuff. So you lay on a table and there's like a technician but i think that it's not necessarily a technician i think it's like you're doing it on each other okay and that's like that there i think there was a documentary
Starting point is 00:24:15 about this and the guy who started it but of course it's a guy um but yeah all they do the whole time is just like touch and it's no men it's only men can massage the clitoris but there's no penis work it's all men rubbing your clitoris sounds about right doesn't it like it's literally let me work through your shit by me masturbating on top of you it's like that'll that'll do it yeah no they don't touch their wieners doesn't matter at that moment but later on it's like what you're doing i mean i was thinking i'm like are there male pelvic floor therapists because that would be so gross you know let's i mean that's a great question i mean i like made sure to report back on that next week well i made sure because i was like i was like wait a second i didn't like
Starting point is 00:25:16 when they made my i got the referral i was like oh i didn't even because i'm like assuming it would be a woman i was like oh my god i gotta double check because like that think about the eye contact with a man no i won't even do a male masseuse no no no no oh i love a male masseuse no i have found you guys i find did i tell you i finally found my masseuse that can like massage me like the hulk uh-huh she's six two yeah wow suzy at the now in rancho sona margarita i've never, ever met somebody like that in my life. Anyways. Susie, love you. Susie, love you. Okay. When we come back, we have to finish up our manifesting that we started on Thursday. So if you haven't listened to it yet, we do a manifesting. We'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Hello, we're back. Now, on Thursday, we did our manifesting episode, which we talked about the things that we manifest for last year, our passes and fails and new things. People love this so much that I wanted to expand the categories in case the categories we talked about on the last episode did not inspire you. You don't need to do all like 10 categories, but I wanted to add something new for 2026. And so I have added some categories.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Are you guys ready? So we don't have things from last year to report back on for these categories. These are just new manifests. And I love to start with this, adventure experiences. Now, Jack probably doesn't even need to actually, like, manifest this because she is experiences. But what are you guys, like, what is on your list for 2026 to experience that's fun, adventurous, you're, like, going to look back on it in your life and be excited that you overcame it or did it? um well one experience I know I'm doing is going on a cruise and I haven't been on a cruise I think my mom said I went on one when I was like five but I don't remember it but I'm going on my
Starting point is 00:27:19 first adult cruise Jared is playing it it's like one of those music cruises it's with this guy Andrew Andrew McMahon which is like my number one lover of life and yeah they're playing the cruise with them and i'm so excited are you bringing friends uh fallon will probably go that's like dating garrett i don't know if any of my friends are going i don't i don't care because i'm gonna be bopping around there's theme nights there's a pirate night there's an alien night it's gonna be so fun um so i'm excited first where are your destinations uh i think dominican republic it goes out of florida does that make sense i'm not sure yeah um but yeah Okay, just remember you're showering other people's pee.
Starting point is 00:28:04 I know. Also, you know, it's the Wild West out there on open waters. I know. No laws. I hope I don't go missing. It's lawless. Don't go missing. Don't get sucked into buying things at the gift shop.
Starting point is 00:28:22 On the cruise ship? It feels like a deal, but it's not. I'll tell you that right now. That's so specific and so weird. It's like, don't buy a keychain. And the way they market it, you're like, oh, my God, this diamond bracelet. You're right, Diamonds International. This is, like, a great deal.
Starting point is 00:28:37 And then you get on land. You're like, oh, shit, it wasn't. Becca, what are you doing adventurous this year? Well, Zach and I are going in the spring to Slovenia. Whoa. For a friend's birthday. Whoa. These birthday parties are getting out of control.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Out of control. Is it a 40th? It's a 50th. And it's not like a, it's only, it's three couples and then meeting a fourth couple in London, like to end round out. Why Slovenia? Because apparently this is on the forefront of what's going to be a cool place to go. So this is like the Croatia of 20 years ago, allegedly.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Okay. Okay. All right. So I'm really excited. It's going to be probably, I think the longest that we have left Ford. So. How long is it? 10 days.
Starting point is 00:29:26 godspeed to my parents and to Zach's mom and sister because they're going to be splitting up the week and watching Ford um but I'm excited um okay so for my adventure I am looking for I really need to get a out of my house sure but I need something to look forward to so Chris and I didn't go on a big trip this year because we're like so exhausted and he'd been traveling so much that we were just like we have got to like just be together somewhere where it's like low lift and I really miss that because we always go on like some big trip and I was thinking back to when we went to Jordan and Petra and I was like so far away so I I think my adventure experiences are Chris is doing a lot in 2026 and like he's like oh you know come to blah blah blah come to
Starting point is 00:30:18 but I'm not coming to be your work wife. Like, I don't think that's fun. And he's on his phone the whole time. I need to plan something that's spectacular and that I have to look forward to. And I like, so I have no idea, but I really need an idea. Like, I've always wanted to do that driving in Iceland
Starting point is 00:30:36 and like in a little van. And I don't know, I need to like, I need a nature experience. So it is definitely on my list. I'm going to put my manifest is that I'm going to have three outdoor experience adventures, two in America, one, no, one in America, one in Canada, one international. Fun.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Go skiing in Whistler. I know. So I bought that ski suit for Jack and I like a hundred years ago. I still haven't worn it. And I live right by there. Like, I just don't have anyone to ski with. Like, Chris doesn't ski. And it's like, I bummer.
Starting point is 00:31:15 But then I was like, Chris, why don't you just come with me? You can sit on your phone all day and work and I'll just like go up by myself. Because skiing is not like that much of a social thing. You're like mostly yourself. No, it's a solo sport. But like you want to sit on the like chairlift with somebody. And then like, what if you fall down the side of the mountain? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:34 And I'm lost. Like who's going to know what to call TMZ? You could just stay on the easy, easy little slopes. Have you done Big Sur post-Ranchin yet? No. Is it great? Oh, my God. Kelty, this is where you guys have to go.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Yeah. Post-Ranchin, it's in Big Sur. It's like the tree houses. It's luxurious, but it's tree houses. There's no TVs in the rooms. There's hiking all over. The restaurant's beautiful. Like, it's no kids.
Starting point is 00:32:01 It's so gorgeous. Like, the view. Is there skiing? No, this is just for one of your, like, nature type. But you could go – that's like a very easy weekend type trip. You could drive from L.A.? You can drive or you can just fly to like San Francisco. And then you can go into Carmel.
Starting point is 00:32:19 It's so cute. Yeah. I dated a guy who's from Carmel. Yeah. When I went to the post ranch and I saw Dave Matthews, it was very exciting. Oh, right. Okay. Well, I'm definitely going if celebs go.
Starting point is 00:32:29 If celebs do go. Oh. You'll be right at home. Okay. Style, personal glow up. What is our manifestation? this is controversial but i saw like i need no work i need no work i saw a thing on instagram how everyone starts every wonderful sentence where this woman she's about our age said we spent the
Starting point is 00:32:56 90s 2000 early 2000s obsessing over our bodies that obsession has literally transitioned into anti-aging. And so we have been spending so much time and energy on our skin suits that it is really, it is shocking. I mean, as I sit here with a chemical, with a burn on my mouth, but I saw that unfortunately it was post-fraxel chemical peel, but I did say this year, I mean, I'm not going to go crazy. I'm still going to be getting my Botox, but I am going to be focusing something far less on my skin suit. I love that. I love that because it's like you can't escape it. It's coming for all of us. Like we're all going to get wrinkles and age and it's like I think it's such like an unhealthy spiral and then it's like you see one thing on
Starting point is 00:33:49 Instagram then you see more and then you're looking at yourself in the mirror and then you're nitpicking your face and then I'd go down the spiral so much and it's like you just can't keep it. It's coming for you. And nobody at our age is noticing what we look like anymore, unless we look absolutely horrible. There's really not much range from looking our most amazing where we've spent all the time on the facials and the massages and the levatics and the blah, blah, blah. All of that is for us. And if we decide we don't really need that anymore to make ourselves happy, it's really not going to make a dent in our day-to-day how our life is lived. It also doesn't really make you happy. Not at all. It's like the more that I would like
Starting point is 00:34:30 focus on it, it's like the less happy I was. I'm like doing this. Did this filler make me happier? Yeah. Like, no. Sometimes Dr. Diamond, when he was putting the filler in my face, I felt happier because he was touching me. Yeah. And it's like a jolt of like serotonin. Dopamine. Because like hurts and you're like, yes. Yeah. I mean, at this point, it's a never-ending race. I have so much gray hair that unless you catch me the week or two after I've gotten my hair done, there will be gray hairs in my part. I can get all the lasers in the world. There's still going to be spots on my skin from just being 40 and having lived in a tanning bed in my teens. There's just all of these things where I'm like, I could put all the lotions and serums on my thighs, but that skin is
Starting point is 00:35:19 still 40 years old. Yeah. Amen. So 100%. Okay. Personal glow up style. So I, um, mine is interesting. My personal glow up is going to be, you guys just had a conversation about like, we're doing less. Who cares what everyone thinks? And I'm like, I'm like, and switch. So my personal glow up is that I am going to attempt to, um, oh God, how am I going to say this? Okay. My manifestation for 2026 personal glow up is that I am going to, instead of trying to emulate the life of like an it girl through style, fashion, beauty, all these things that like I care about, but like not that much. I am going to be the personal glow up it girl of my own life with my own nerdy tendencies. So I am going to like my style is going to emulate who I really am, which is like I love collages and my weird art and my best mugs and my books and my trees and like cute dogs. And like my personal style is like my aesthetic
Starting point is 00:36:42 is the things that I actually love instead of the things I think I'm supposed to love to fit in with the world. Like I do not care. I have realized Prada is never calling me to invite me to fashion week. Like it's not happening. I'm giving up the dream of being like that girl. And I just want to be a girl that I love. And I want to continue evolving my personal style in all areas to be things I love instead of things I love because I think I'm supposed to love them. Does that make sense? That's great. Yeah, it does. Yeah, you just need to lean into your nerdy self. Also, I think when you're shopping for stuff for your house, for your body, for all the things like we have, like you said, we've sort of drifted from, is this calling to me? Is this
Starting point is 00:37:30 something that's like sparking joy for me? It's now like, oh, I saw this on Instagram. This is what all the cool people. I saw a girl walk through a restaurant the other day and I thought she was like 25 or something. And she was wearing the twenties uniform, like head to toe down to the earring. And I thought how sad for them. Like we had our things for sure, but we didn't have instagram to copy every single detail you still had to have like some creativity and individualism she was like and and she looked cute and i'm sure she felt confident and do what you want to do but i just felt sad for that generation of girl that's like i have to get this specific sock well it's also too like everything is so homogenized that everybody dresses the same
Starting point is 00:38:12 like i we go to the starbucks right by us is next to a high school so we always see like the high schoolers I'm like I am dressed exactly like the high schoolers and I do dress like younger I guess because it's just more casual but I'm like there's no differentiation between like young kids and millennials or we're all wearing the same shit it's just so it's such a bummer um my like personal style I'm it's funny because I'm like still trying to find exactly what my personal style is and the older that I'm getting I am realizing I really like dressing more masculine than I ever have like when I was younger and I literally feel the hottest when I'm in like baggy clothes oversized things like funky style but like I feel like I dressed like for the male gaze for so long
Starting point is 00:39:02 and like I always I'm like I need something tight like I need something like subconsciously I'm like who am I dressing for really I don't know but I'm just finding like cool shit that I really enjoy wearing. And it's kind of different than I used to dress. And I'm like, I'm really liking finding that because it's comfier. And I don't know. I like it. I'm reading that book, Margo's Got Money Troubles. And she said something in the book that was so interesting. And I've never followed this philosophy. She said like she has this mom in the book. She's a real character. But she said she would always go into dressing rooms with her mom and her mom would put on the dress and then she'd stand to the side, push her stomach out, slouch, do all the things like
Starting point is 00:39:42 so she was only buying clothes that she could still feel comfortable and look good in at her worst instead of buying the dress that you're like, if I'm really skinny when I wear this, if I'm really tan when I wear this, if I'm really this, if my hair is perfectly highlighted. So that's sort of a little bit of it too, where I've always been dressing like a boy and oversized because I hate feeling like I always have to be at the peak of the hotness that like will never reached the top of that mountain. Yeah. It's such a, that's such a good point. Like go shopping when you look bad. Yeah. Go shopping without a spray tan on your period. I'm not sure that we're ready to coin a year yet, a term, but I'm, I'm noodling around something you just said, the 2026 meeting
Starting point is 00:40:32 yourself where you are. Like there was like a collective feeling between all of us meeting ourselves where we are on that note we're meeting you where you are probably in your car where you are in your earlobes we will see you next tuesday lady gang is hosted and produced by kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanek with social media support from collie carrera audio and video editing from jared monaco and additional support from steve delameter and podcast one
