Starting point is 00:00:00 This episode of Lady Gang is brought to you by Daily Harvest. Go to dailyharvest.com and enter promo code LADY to get $25 off your first box. Happy New Year! Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the Lady Gang. I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Hi. Hello. I am not okay. It's dark already. It's 4.07. I'm not going to make it through the winter. I can't do it. I'm just tired all day. All day. COVID? No. I don't think. It's just daylight savings sickness. I don't want to hear it from you guys because being in the Pacific Northwest. Oh yeah, I have a way worse. What time does it get dark over there? Like three? No, she's North. It's
Starting point is 00:00:59 less dark. It's no, it gets so darker and then it's lighter in the summer. Oh yeah. I'm sorry. It's winter. You're right. You're right. I mean, if I'm in Vancouver, is that still considered the Pacific Northwest or is that only when you're talking about the States? I think it's kind of only when you're talking about the States, but it's like the exact same climate as like Canada to be the Southwest of Canada. That's true. The Southwest. Yeah, you're right. You're in the SoCal of Canada. Sounds fiery. Well, it's really, I don't know how people live in places like this permanently. They must just get used to not having any sunshine. This is why my parents started coming down and hijacking my house for like six months a year in the winter because
Starting point is 00:01:46 they're like, Oh, it's hell. Let me come down to SoCal. Like it's terrible in the winter in Canada. Yeah. Dark. Well, actually that will bring it. That's a good segue into it's time for good week. Yes, it is bad week. Oh no. My good week is actually the other day I was going to run an errand and I threw on like the equivalent of pajamas and like, like, like shitty boots, basically like the poor man's UGG. And then like this in Zach's jacket, like I looked and my beanie, my hair was up inside of a beanie. And I was like, you know what? I'm very grateful that I'm in a city right now where you go, you can go out like this and no one, like no one cares. Oh yeah. That's the vibe. Well, I've already tried to find the paparazzi in Vancouver for you.
Starting point is 00:02:47 They're at the Riverdale kids house. Oh, that makes sense. They're not interested in Beckett Tobin right now. Not yet. Not until they can get Beckett Tobin, life going down the drain. Look at this toque. That's what they would think. But it's like everyone, you actually look like an idiot if you aren't dressed like that. Yeah. So I'm very appreciative. I'm very appreciative of that. Well, then also just add in the fact that like athleisure and sweatpants are now a fashion statement. It's like, I'm never going to wear a pair of jeans ever again. It's not happening. Yeah, no, no. Although my bad week is bad. So Zach walks to the gym every day. There's like an Equinox and they do like very small, like you make a reservation now to go and it's like very
Starting point is 00:03:35 safe and whatever. So he walks there and he came home from a workout and he was like, so I just saw something really disturbing. And I was like, what? He's like, a woman's vagina, like a full vagina. And I was like, what? Like spread eagle. Yeah. He's like, she was sitting down on the ground, like on the curb. And it looked like she was like pulling her pants up, but she was sitting like cross-legged on the ground, like bare ass on the pavement and a full vagina, full vagina out. Obviously this woman was probably, you know, maybe mentally ill. Well, there's definitely a yeast infection in her future because her bare vagina was on the ground. Well, I was like, that's really sad. That's like,
Starting point is 00:04:17 you know, whatever, terrible. Well, then he came home yesterday and he's like, I want to tell you something, but I'm worried it's going to really gross you out. And I was like, well, you can't open with that because I'm obviously going to say, I need to know every detail. He figured out what the woman was doing because he saw her again. she's she's pooping like just pooping on the pavement but not sitting up enough to like not be sitting in it oh and she was a squatty potty it was a squatty potty squatty pavement and that was like right before we were about to eat dinner and i was like you know what that's why people in big cities make you take your shoes off before you come in the house
Starting point is 00:05:01 that's why you can't wear your shoes in kelty knight's house yeah but in like la it's very rare that you're gonna walk down the sidewalk where someone's taking a shit unless you're not in my old house oh i guess you're my planter all the time that's true lots of a human defecation around my heart there really was there was you're right so much yeah so you No. Okay. I'm going to go. Okay. So my good week is, um, a very amazing DM that I got. And you know, at the lady gang, I feel like we like to inspire people to like be better people or to, you know, try out new things. And this is one of the best DMs that I've gotten in a long time. It's from Beck Milano. She says, I'd never seen Seinfeld before, but you and Becca talk about it
Starting point is 00:05:51 so much. I've been watching it from pilot to finish. I'm on season seven and I realize now just how badly I've been missing out on this gem. Wow. That's the type of influence I want to be in in this world. Wow. That's a good one. My biggest complaint is that Seinfeld doesn't play more often. Like just on regular syndicated TV. It used to, it used to play every single night from 10 to 11 on one channel and then from 11 to 12 on a different one. And that was my pre. Then I watched curb after that. So it was like hours of Larry David television, but I don't know if they do that anymore. They don't. It's really hard to find it. I thought that they were supposed to do it on Hulu or something. I did hear they were going somewhere streaming. I hope it happens soon.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I need it because I need to just put it on at any given point of the day because it just makes me feel so good. So I'm glad that we're influencing people to make good decisions. My bad week is really Kelty's bad week. And this is one of our lady gangers posted in the Facebook group. And she says, Oh my God, this is Kelty's doppelganger. This is my bad week. Is it yours? Would you like to tell the story? No, go ahead. You tell it from your perspective. Okay. Some girl goes, Oh my God, this is Kelty's doppelganger. And she posts a photo and the photo of is this beautiful model for skims, but the model is probably 60 years old. Stop. Yeah. And honestly, here, I'll show it to you. I want to see. It looks like Kelsey. I mean, first of all, she, that woman does
Starting point is 00:07:24 not look 60. How old do you think she is? It's because on the, maybe she's younger. Yeah. She has gray hair. I mean, she's beautiful, but she's older. She's definitely 60. This is the, this is the for any age woman skims ad. Are we sure she's 60? I don't know. I mean, I didn't look her up. No. Her name is. She looks like 50, late 40s. That's not that far from you. Do you want to tell your side of the story, Keltie? How did it make you feel? Okay. So first of all, I'm flattered that anyone would think I would have boobs like that because I've never had both of my boobs touching each other ever at any point in my life. So like, I don't know what that's like.
Starting point is 00:08:08 I saw this and it honestly, it's been a string of fucking hits. First, Tyler, what's his Aerosmith? Steven Tyler. Then a few weeks ago, someone was like, that girl was like, oh my God, I thought this was you. And it was Kathy Hilton. She's 61. And now this Skims ad.
Starting point is 00:08:27 And what's crazy about it is that I am feeling my hottest ever. I know I'm not, but I'm- You really are though. you're looking your hottest. I'm in the delusion of, oh my God, I'm taking such good care of myself. Like I'm so wonderful. And I just keep getting pegged as a six-year-old woman. And I am, you know, it's my birthday. I'm going to be 39. And like, it's my last year, this year doesn't count, but it still counts. And I'm feeling bummed because it used to be, do you remember when you were like 32 and people would be like, oh my God, I thought you were 26. That never happens to me
Starting point is 00:09:07 anymore. No one's ever like, oh my God, you look so much younger than you are. They're literally like, you look, oh yeah. Anyway, I have so many thoughts. I'm so insecure. Thanks, Kim. Well, now I'm getting the reaction. It's like, you don't really want any reaction. You think what you want to hear is like, oh my God, you don't look 34 or whatever it is. Yeah. But the thing I get now is the thing I used to do to women in my twenties. And like, I'm so sorry I ever did this. But when somebody who looked amazing told me their age, I would be like, oh my God, you do not look 45. Like as if it's like really old or really bad to be that age. Right. So now I get this reaction of like, oh my God, you don't look that old. And I'm like, I've wasted 33 years of
Starting point is 00:09:59 my life. And then sometimes when I said that to people, I was lying. Sometimes I'd be like, you're not 40, but I would know that you're fucking 40. You're like, I thought you were 45. I can't really tell the age of many women anymore. I obviously can't either if I thought that woman was way older than she is. Yeah. I mean, the girls on TikTok, I think they're skewing our entire brain because they're like 16 and they look 35. I mean, but that also kind of makes me feel better about myself because I'm like, do they look, they look my age. So does that mean I look like a 19 year old? No, I think it means that 19 year olds these days are looking like us because they're getting that work did. That's right. That filler face. Are you going to let
Starting point is 00:10:40 your kids get their work done, work done on their face? No, of course. Like you're going to make them. Kelty's like Botox at three, filler at four. I mean, I feel like I can't be a hypocrite. I guess I'll just have to, if I have a daughter, I have to make her wait until she's the age that I was when I started. Well, like I had this thing when I was in my early twenties, which I actually watched a video of myself from when I was 19 years old. And I was like, holy crap, my face was way puffier than it is. But I wanted to get that buckle fat removal on my cheeks. And my mom never let me do it. Cause she's like, you're going to want fat in your face when you're older. And now that I'm very glad that I never did it.
Starting point is 00:11:18 So it's like maybe those kind of things that kids want that you really don't want. Yeah, it's true. It's like tattoos. It's like piercing your face. Everyone in high school wanted an eyebrow piercing. And now they all have that like hideous eyebrow piercing scar. Yeah, that's not a good one. That's not something I ever wanted.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Did you have a good week, Kelty? Oh, that was my bad week. Yes, I have a good week. you're talking nowhere near your microphone i'm not sorry well honestly i just had a series of bad weeks prepared for this oh i let her rip let her rip do a double bad week okay i'm gonna yeah i'm gonna do a double bad week i i have i am annoyed with myself self-hatred i have been doing all the things I'm supposed to do. Eating my vegetables, working out, going to therapy, writing, talking to my friends, having a well-balanced life, all these things. And at
Starting point is 00:12:20 some point I'm supposed to feel like something. And I still just feel like I hated 2020. Like I'm just, I can't get happy. I could sleep for like 17 hours a day. Well, I'm trying to time. I, Yeah. I'm like, I don't want to cook anything. Like I just, I tried so hard to like live that Oprah life and do a better life. And I'm just like, fuck it. And if I'm like, fuck it, I don't want to bujo my water intake. Like everyone's screwed. Yeah. We're all screwed. Or maybe now we're just level because you've joined the rest of us losers. Well, Kelty, I'm sorry. You're going to get your, I think you're going to get your mojo back though. I have no doubt. no i will i just i you know i i like i i just i don't give a that's okay that's that's a kelty
Starting point is 00:13:19 5.0 that i like no i know but great no it's kelty no i want to care i don't care like i'm like i i just i'm like not trying to be a good wife i'm not trying to be good i'm like got mask me I'm like, well, you can only, you can only like try to self, um, improve for so long and, and it should get old because nobody should focus on themselves that much. So like if, if you're still like thriving, just becoming a better me, well, you need to get your head out of your ass because it's been far too long. You've been focusing on you. Amen.
Starting point is 00:14:04 You know what? taking it to church give it up take it out of the asshole in i just felt like matthew mcconaughey he's like well then that's too much time on y-o-u but when he when he had that cooking video and he goes big taste big taste big taste big taste got a big taste but no big flavor big flavor anyway um anyway i'm um happy to see you i'm excited for this guest it is the first season of housewives that i've even watched no okay fantastic it let me say something they have knocked it out of the fucking park with the casting of this show because everyone i think except for our guest today is off their
Starting point is 00:14:54 fucking rockers yeah like certifiably out of touch with reality to the point of like no return oh yeah casting was fucking a plus it it's truly amazing it's truly um i didn't tell i don't know if i told you this i said it on instagram but when i was in salt lake city doing the interview before it started the girl jan shah she brought multiple furs to the shoot she wanted to have a fur change. So she wanted one fur on her chair during the interview, one to walk in with, and then like a fur for the B-roll. Here's my question about her. Like, I don't know if they're going to address it on the show. I'm sure that they will. But like, where does her money come from? Oh, she has like four marketing agencies. Okay. And her husband is- He's a coach. He's a
Starting point is 00:15:54 coach probably makes a million dollars. Right. But she's not living like she makes a million dollars a year. She's living like she makes 20 million a year. Yeah. So she must have some super successful. She had like three or four different, I read her bio, like marketing, she's a business woman. I do like that all of these women are like way more business savvy too than I'm assuming a lot of the seasons. Like it's not just a housewife situation. It's more like boss bitch. Yeah. for some of them well for most of the franchises i think that they know they know that like pure housewives don't actually make that good of tv yeah you know what it is too it's like i think there's like a this is me like talking so much shit about like girl bosses like ourselves but
Starting point is 00:16:37 i think that there's an element they figured this out in casting that show there's an element of narcissism that comes with a boss lady like with a woman who wants to stay at home and raise her family and be a housewife, she's obviously not that obsessed with herself. She wants to nurture and be there for other people. It's the ones you got to look out for are the ones who want to conquer the world like three of us. Yeah. Exactly. Yep. Nailed it. Nailed it. Then you get some real dicks. Some real dicks. You get some real dicks. Speaking... No, I'm just kidding. Speaking of dicks. Speaking of the only not dick on the show. You know, her voice is so soothing to me.
Starting point is 00:17:19 It was soothing. Yeah. Okay. I love it. Let's get into it. This year, we are all refocusing on what it means to take care of ourselves. And as you know, I am on this giant health journey and Daily Harvest makes it so easy. Obviously, I've talked about the smoothies before.
Starting point is 00:17:35 The soups are amazing, but they also have these Daily Harvest bowls, which are so easy. And what I love the most about Daily Harvest is that you can order it and then you put everything in your freezer. I always go on these big tangerines where I get all these vegetables and then everything goes rotten and I've wasted all this money. But because it goes in your freezer, you just take it out when it's convenient for you, when you need that smoothie, when you need that bowl. You waste less food that way. Everything is organic farms. They freeze their ingredients right on the farm at peak ripeness. And Daily Harvest has something for every time of the day. Smoothies, flatbreads,
Starting point is 00:18:05 soups for colder weather. With Daily Harvest, I'm enjoying undeniably delicious clean food without any of the prep. And whether you're looking to have a daily dose of fruits and vegetables, or you want to have a little time on your hands back from meal prep, get started today. Starting point is 00:21:09 first cast member from the show she's an award-winning and celebrity favorite jewelry designer who is not only her law degree but also her masters of management in addition to running the shop to shop at in Park City, Utah, aka Sundanceville. But her personal style is also next level chic. Her diamonds are big, her suits are tailored as f***, and her son might already be the breakout star of the show. Please welcome to the Lady Gang, Meredith Marks. Welcome. Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited to be here. And that introduction was absolutely brilliant. Thank you. Well, I love a woman who's like, you know what? I'm just going to be all the things like, okay, I'll just get my law degree and then I'll do the shop and then I'll
Starting point is 00:21:55 do all these things. And then I'll also be a TV star. Like I appreciate a woman about, about it all. Yeah. Um, that's kind of been my journey is I, I just, you know, I, I go and conquer whatever I want to do. And it's been, um, it's intense. It's a lot, it's amazing. It's fun. It's fabulous, but it's also a lot of pressure. And I've always sort of just tried to keep plowing forward. And it's incredible. I love what I've done. I love my life. I love my children. I love my family. It's good. It's all good. So a few weeks ago, Becca, we're housewives people. So a few weeks ago, I actually, for my other job at ET, got to fly. You were in New York, but I got to fly to Salt Lake City. And I met Jen, Lisa, and Heather in Utah and interviewed them. And they told me
Starting point is 00:22:44 a little bit about the casting, but this is so separate. So I really do want to ask you, how did you get involved in this? Because you're already crushing. So I received a text message, it must have been about two years ago at this point, from my friend Megan, who owns a restaurant at Handel. And she had texted Lisa and I in a group text and said you know my husband's um college roommate was is a producer and he they're interested in doing a reality show in utah would you talk to them and i said sure of course i i had no idea i was being cast for the show to be honest i thought it was just like a point of conversation he needed some guidance you know where to look what to do i had zero clue at that
Starting point is 00:23:30 point but when they asked to do a skype i kind of put two and two together and there was a little more information. Now, at this point in Housewives, any regrets? It's early. You know, I have always said that this process has been like a love-hate relationship. And there are aspects that I absolutely love. I could not be standing where I am today in my own like personal life. I'm not talking about anything about television or media or any of that, just in my own personal space for housewives. So that's a big deal. That's a really big deal. It was a massive growth opportunity. And I really had a chance to look introspectively at a lot of things that, you know, you in day-to-day life, you kind of just
Starting point is 00:24:27 ignore and they're important and you can't just keep kind of like blowing things off thinking that everything's okay so um from that standpoint that's the log part the hey part uh we shall see what airs were you excited that you got to wear all your fabulous clothes on the show though like even in the first episode you have that pink dress with the big sleeves that's just like poofy feathers coming true. And since you have been, you know, cultivating the style for the shop where basically every celebrity that goes to Sundance goes and spends all their money in your store, like it must be cool to be a lover of fashion and being at Fashion Week and then have like somewhere really like cool to wear everything. Yes. You know, fashion has always been very
Starting point is 00:25:17 important to me. It's part of my business, obviously. Christian Callen, who designed my pink dress for the party that night is is a dear friend and a very very brilliantly talented designer I absolutely adore him and so you know for me to have I'm dressed all the time I mean it's it's my life it's what I do but when you have somewhere to really show it off it's even more fun for sure and obviously you know it's you have more opportunities to change day to day and wear more things. And it's amazing. I love fashion. So that was definitely a super fun part of this. What did your family think about being on the show? And what does your son think about being the breakout star? Your son is incredible, by the way. Thank you. We love him. I mean,
Starting point is 00:26:06 Brooks is everything to me. He is absolutely genius, brilliant, the most beautiful soul I know on this earth he's incredible and um you know for him he he launched his own collection um just very short time before the show started so this is like an incredible opportunity for him to showcase it i'm very excited for him for that um my family overall has been very receptive to the show you know obviously there's I even have hesitations at moments we all like be human if we didn't so there have been moments where there's pushback but basically speaking we're all you know at peace with it let's let's say that all right let's get into it Mary's weird Mary's history is definitely unusual I happen to love Mary she's been nothing but kind to me
Starting point is 00:27:10 um some of the things i think you see in episode one are not her finest moments i'll be very honest um but she actually has been very kind to me i did um go to her church and watching her speak is and watching not her speak i should say watching her congregation react to her is beyond incredible um it is an unusual situation I think she would be the first one to admit that it's very different than what you normally see particularly in the U.S. there aren't many arranged marriages here nonetheless to a step-grandparent not common for sure but um I I really you know I think that Mary probably regrets a couple of the comments that she made in her confessional I shouldn't say probably I know she does. But overall, Mary has been nothing but nice to me. I really
Starting point is 00:28:08 have nothing bad to say. She's been kind to me, you know, and what she does and how she behaves will all unfold this season, but she's been nice to me. Well, confessionals will get you. And we know because when we had our show, we would do the whole show and then they'd take us for like hours at a time by ourselves and do these confessionals and we'd be wasted. And we just say the craziest shit and then that's what would end up on the show. So how has that been for you, the confessing of it and the, what did you think when blah, blah, blah said this? So it's intense. I mean, you know, there are, I have no idea what everyone will see or not see, but there are definitely moments in confessionals that I regret that I may be apologizing for.
Starting point is 00:28:54 um overall i i do think that i was pretty much true to myself there but there are moments where you're just like angry and you say things and or you walked into you know the confessional and you had um something bad happened right before you're in a bad mood and and they ask you a question and you're just like on it you know and whatever but basically i i think for the most part i was pretty true to my own beliefs true to myself I probably will have a couple small apologies so I'll be honest it's a rite of passage yeah exactly is there like if you had to look at all the other franchises is there someone that you think like oh I'm the I'm like the Bethany of Salt Lake City or I'm the Sonia what you know like who do you think you are ish so I'm me I'm sorry I can't
Starting point is 00:29:52 like, I can't go there. I am totally unique. I am my own person. I just can't compare myself to somebody else. I can't. Have you watched the Housewives before this or did you, are you just going in this like a completely clean slate, like not knowing too much about the whole process? So more of the latter. I did watch, I had not been like a Housewives fan my whole life I I really knew nothing about it to be honest and about a month before the show I did take some time to watch kind of like an episode from each franchise which was a mistake I should have probably watched a whole depending on the episode I'm sure based on one episode from each franchise do you have a favorite franchise um you know that's hard for me because it was so
Starting point is 00:30:47 like random and eclectic um i can say you know for me i love being in new york city i'm here right now it's my favorite place to be so in a lot of ways it was very relatable um i grew up with a home in beverly hills so that of course is relatable to me as well but you know i i didn't really find it was more about finding a space that related to me than actually loving the franchise because I had not spent enough time I now I'm watching them as they air I can't wait till I live in a chalet I'm so excited you know what I mean like I'll just be like I'm at the chalet um okay I do want to ask you you know owning many of your companies you know as a businesswoman how do you think being on the show is going to affect all that and then also oh also
Starting point is 00:31:38 we want to ask for advice on Jack's engagement oh well because you do diamonds she does diamonds oh like what should we be looking what should we be looking for so for an engagement ring i mean if you're going the traditional route um you're always looking at the color and the clarity of the stone and of course the shape you know um but it depends on what you want a lot of people are doing very non-traditional engagement rings so there are a lot of fun ways to go you know you could go with um even you could still do a diamond but do a rose cut diamond instead of one of the more you know traditional round brilliant cuts um but if you are going the traditional route it's it's it is pretty simple you're looking at the color the clarity the shape the size
Starting point is 00:32:28 and uh congratulations on your engagement that's amazing well she's not engaged not there yet pressuring we're just pressuring they're pressuring me until i'm ready to say that i'm ready for it And then it'll happen. Well, when you're ready, let me know and I can, I can help you find the right stone for you. I will. Yeah. I think one of the things that you do so beautifully, Meredith, is like that work with the colored stones. Like you have this one that like kind of wraps around and it's like two different, like, I just kind of love that. And I do feel like people are, people are going for more unique pieces now. Like at, I mean, obviously everyone still wants like the ice ice look but don't you feel like the colored stones are becoming like more of a thing
Starting point is 00:33:13 again yeah I mean for me I've always been a huge fan of colored stones I love diamonds who doesn't but color is everything there's a lot of color in my collection I've always been very focused on it it's been uh almost too much of a passion sometimes I'm like oh my god I have so many colors going on here I have to pair it now you know but color to me is everything it's it's fun it's exciting. Um, but you know, you also need the diamonds too. Are you worried about people coming to like find you now at the shop? So, you know, I, I, I don't run the store. I own the store. Um, I'm there periodically. Um, so for me, I don't really worry so much about that, But for everyone else who's there, yes, I do.
Starting point is 00:34:06 You know, you just, you always worry about safety, security, and those kinds of things. But I think it's all good. So far, everything's been super positive. I have, like, zero negative to talk about yet. That's amazing. We never do, but we all know reality. Well, where my street, like, comes out, like, if I go over the hill in LA, I end up, like, right at the Oppenheim group from selling sunset. And like, you can tell like now that the show's a
Starting point is 00:34:35 hit that people are standing outside, they're doing like, like outside. It's so crazy. I feel like that's what it's going to be like for you. All right. When we come back, Meredith is going to fix your life. You know, if the last year has taught us anything at all, it's that comfort is everything. You're listening to the lady gang. All right. Well, we're back. So for this part of our podcast, it's called ask the lady gang. And
Starting point is 00:35:58 we have our listeners writing questions, whether it's about love or their careers or friendships, and we try our best to give them good advice. Sometimes it's not, so it doesn't really matter what kind of advice we give as long as it's something. So you're ready to fix some lives. I hope so. I hope I get the right advice. We've given wrong advice probably 90% of the time, so it's fine. Okay. So our first question comes from Maya. She says, my friend and I have been friends for 15 years and we recently became new moms. I was so excited to share this new mama journey with her, but she has completely changed since making new mom friends. I find she acts one way with them and completely different
Starting point is 00:36:36 with me. I'm finding it hard to relate with her even to hold a conversation. How do I handle this new version of our friendship? So that's difficult because I do think that as we all go through different phases of life and changes in our life, we find that certain friends are more relatable than others. And it doesn't mean that she's not your friend. It just means that she may be sitting in a different space. So to me, my first option on that would be to try to just spend more time individually and not around the other moms and see if I could redirect the conversation to places that I was comfortable with. But it may just be you guys need some time. And I have friends that, I mean, I have so many different friend groups.
Starting point is 00:37:25 I travel incessantly and I have a lot of different friends from all over the world. And sometimes I don't talk to someone for a year. Sometimes we don't even text for a year. Like it doesn't mean they're not my friend. It just means we're in different spaces. We respect each other's spaces and we move forward and hopefully our lives will be in a better place in the future where we can reconnect. I love that.
Starting point is 00:37:51 and also it's and we've talked about this because becca at her wedding she had like a mix of all of these different friend groups and sometimes they don't having a meltdown with each other like sometimes they're meant to stay in two different areas especially if this woman's making new friends like new mom friends god knows you know what that could be like trying to mesh that with back with the OG, like best friend. And it's okay, you know, and it's okay to say, I need my space right now, or I'm going to give my friend their space right now. It doesn't mean you're not talking every day. It doesn't mean you're every week or every month, you know, everyone goes, you know, through phases, ebbs and flows. And that's what a good friend does
Starting point is 00:38:39 to say, respect your space when you need it. Amen. Okay. Make it a banner on my space. Okay. Next question comes from anonymous. She says, ladies, I cannot believe this is happening, but I recently discovered that what I thought was an orgasm in the past wasn't. The other night while masturbating, I achieved this glorious feeling that I've never felt before. At 30, this was my first real orgasm. There's only one problem. I've been married to my husband for four years. And now that I know what a true orgasm is, I know he nor any other man has ever gotten me there. He is pretty conservative in the bedroom. So what are my next steps? I can't go back to orgasm-less sex and he is the love of my life. Wow. That's good. You just said I love my life,
Starting point is 00:39:24 make it work, teach them. That's no question. You don't give up on the love of your life. No, no way. Sorry. No, no. I just, you know, no, I can't. I would go. Yeah. I would actually show errors. I would go and say, Oh my God, I was like masturbating and I found like an even better way to orgasm and then show him. So it's not that we're lying, but like you never actually made me orgasm. I wouldn't say that because that'll hurt his feelings. I would be like adding onto it. Like, oh my God, I found this way to have a really intense orgasm. No, but like I said, it's probably some kind of a toy. So just incorporate the toy into whatever you're doing. There's no way that you did that with your hands. Yeah, exactly. You didn't have
Starting point is 00:40:14 the greatest feeling of your life with your pinky finger. Okay. That didn't happen. And in his defense, it's like not that easy to get a woman to orgasm. No. It can sometimes be like jump-starting a vehicle. It's not always. So tell him that off the bat. And also maybe she's thought that she's having orgasms. So she's been faking a little bit more and he thinks that he has been giving her them the whole time, which is why he can't fake an orgasm. When I was younger, I used to hyperventilate, like get out of breath having sex. And I thought that was the orgasm, but I was just passing out. Anyway. Wow. You know when you're like, and you're like, oh my God. Now I can't hear meredith because you're screaming kelty sorry um no i just i think it's honestly open
Starting point is 00:41:00 communication and kind communication and not like belittling and letting them know that he does make you feel good and that you like you guys were saying you know i found something else that was really fun and you know you introduce it whatever it may be to give him a chance to you know participate because it's not gonna be good if he doesn't and even if he's vanilla in bed it's like if you, all guys want something kinkier. You just have to introduce it to them. Just throw it at them. I'm going to introduce these glasses this weekend. Sick. Okay. Our last question comes from June. She says, I got married when I was 27 and we ended up getting pregnant on the honeymoon. Two years later, we welcomed another girl.
Starting point is 00:41:42 I'm a stay at home mom for now, but I didn't realize how unsexy this life could be. He never complains about how I look and is always positive, but I feel like we really need to rekindle the fire what are some doable things to accomplish this so i think that's really really crucial to your relationship to not um let your your marriage be defined only through your children which is what it sounds like you know it's happening and i think it's what what each person needs is different you know for me taking the vacation would have been like a very big deal i know that's not always so easy for everyone with you know two children under two um maybe it's just a romantic night out or if that's not even possible a romantic night in
Starting point is 00:42:31 when the kids have already gone to bed but it's taking the time to respect each other love each other show that you care and show that you're invested in one another above and beyond your children because it's very easy to define your entire relationship for your children and that's that's wonderful for your children it's not healthy for you and your husband absolutely bet can guess what my answer is don't have them stretching naked stretching and possibly a fish net unitard live your life sick it's stretching okay i love it i'm in i i think chris chris never complains about me when i'm grubby and like covet has been such a time where we've all been at home and so it's like it's just you're just it's just easy to like get in that sweat pant life um and
Starting point is 00:43:27 he never complains either but the couple times that i've been like oh i'm gonna do something like he did notice and it was nice so you know on a mascara I put a lip gloss I put deodorant on it was a big deal god interesting that's for sure I was like why I never knew I would hate the way someone chews so much um anyway Meredith you're so amazing if you guys want to check out all of products.
