Enjoy the show. Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Things are about to change around here. Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and jack vanik hello hello hello welcome to the lady gang i am becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty knight hello hi hello so becca you know how you always say well i think jack thinks this well you both say you know how you both say that if i were to ever die like the lady gang would just be over and then you wouldn't know what to do with your lives you'd have no direction. You'd have no meaning. Not that, but yeah, sort of. Not no meaning in life and no direction at all. I mean, you would be a lot less annoyed. Anyway, I'm so excited because I have a
Starting point is 00:01:07 story when we get to Good Week, Bad Week about this almost happened. I averted, I almost left the realm. Anyway, but when we get to it, I just wanted to let you know that you shouldn't take me for granted because i almost got run over i bet you if i don't call i bet you if i don't start the good week bad week she will eventually have told us exactly what happened before we even get there should we just like but just like let her go yeah no i'm waiting for my turn i'm waiting for my turn i just wanted to tease it but you know what's so weird is we go right into good week bad week right now it's not like it's like stick around for later in the show when i talk about the story it's literally we could be like and it's time for and then you could tell us tell
Starting point is 00:01:50 it you know just for that i'm not gonna let you go first you know what it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no jack i bet you before you're finished god we will know how she almost died and got run over yep absolutely because she can't keep it in she can't keep it in okay so my good week is i have a new word for the lady gang dictionary and it is ghost cheeks and it's when you sit down on the toilet and can feel the warmth of previous occupants butt cheek who's sitting on a toilet me i mean ghost cheeks are good at home like if jared just took a 45 minute dump which is how long it takes him to poop i don't know what he is i don't know what they do in there it's wild what are you doing it takes me two minutes anyways but like when he does that and then i get a nice
Starting point is 00:02:39 goes cheek. I guess a public bathroom goes cheek is not the very best in the entire world. You're doing something wrong. I mean, I grew up in a world where like I used a lot of outhouses and I don't even, I'm not even scared of a public bathroom. Like I'll sit down. I do case by case. If it's a nice establishment, I will sit down. Oh, I mean, I can, I grew up on Warped Tour pooping in porta potties so I can go wherever. Yeah. And also, you know, if it, if the time has come, I'm not going to let it go to waste. I gotta take it, seize the day, you know, when it's time. Seize that ghost cheek. But I do like the saying, that's great. And you know, and now people have the fancy toilets that like are warm on purpose. So you don't know, are you ghosted or
Starting point is 00:03:21 are you, you know, in, are you rich? Are you rich? Yeah. Does your toilet create the ghost cheek or do you have to create the ghost cheek yourself? Right. Okay. So my bad week is, um, I recently was on a plane and it's been a while since I've been on a plane and they're fucking disgusting. Like I really, I've been away from people. They were clean for a minute. No, no. Well, number one, they are just packing planes to the fucking brim now because there's just not that many flights. So they're just packing them to where they are overflowing. Every single seat is taken. And I just really forgot about how disgusting people are because I've been away from people for so long. And I'm like, I actually am never going to get on a plane or any other
Starting point is 00:04:07 public transportation without wearing a mask going forward. Like once COVID is over, I am still masking up. People are so gross. It's like, once I get on the plane, I'm like, how is every single person sick on this plane? Coughing, sneezing, just like babies crying. I'm like, this is, this is not what I asked for. I like how you think a plane is gross. Cause there's a baby. it is so disgusting it's disgusting it's so gross people are coughing there's babies crying it really just adds the whole atmosphere it's not yeah it doesn't make it yeah it's not like a calming experience when there's there's you know droplets flying around right next to me and then a baby crying and spreading more germs droplets droplets planes are sick anyways that's
Starting point is 00:04:55 my bad week. I was disgusted. Okay. I'm going to go now. I'm going to start off with my bad week because there was a meme for a while that was going around and it rocked my world. Okay. You guys know that Killian Murphy is my number one, but not as Killian Murphy as... Peaky Blinders. Peaky Blinders. I've never even seen the show and I know... Thomas Shelby. Well, Well, Billie Eilish just did the cover of, um, what was it? Oh, a Vogue. Yeah. And they are doing side-by-sides of, and it said it's, it's killing Murphy next to Billie Eilish. And it says, Billie Eilish is just killing Murphy in a wig. And I can never unsee this now, which is so true. They look like twins. And you know, what's weird is when I was watching
Starting point is 00:05:43 the Billie Eilish documentary, so attracted to her, I was attracted to her. She's hot. she is such like, yeah, yeah. So it's kind of a bummer, but also exciting. Um, my good week is that I went home to Atlanta. Oh, that was a bad. Cause that was bad. Bad, bad. Cause if I ever get to have intercourse with him, all I'm going to see is Billie Eilish. It's like the guy that I used to date who looked exactly like his mom towards the end of our relationship. I could just see his mom. No, that's worse. That's worse. It's terrible. Okay. So, um, oh, so my, my good week was I went home to Atlanta. I have not seen my niece and nephew in nine months. So I, my nephew's nine and it's weirdly that time where for him, at least it went from like baby boy to
Starting point is 00:06:35 a boy, like a full blown boy. I he's playing sports. He's doing all the things. So my sister's like come to his baseball game I had been to his baseball game nine months ago he was like kind of shitty and I'm like how do you how do you endure this as a parent and I'm also like how do you know when a kid is good they're all bad yeah but then I go to his game it's a championship game he's a pitcher now because it's not the dad throwing the balls out anymore it's kids he's so good he's like one of the best kids on the team unanimously amongst the parents amongst the kids whatever. Damn. He's so, he's so good. He steals bases like a motherfucker. He's like the fastest kid on the team. And I started to become a psychopath at this game. I was like emotional.
Starting point is 00:07:24 I was crying behind my sunglasses. Cause I was just like, he's so grown up and it's amazing that he's actually good at something. And it was just like the most exciting thing ever. And now I'm looking at his schedule for like the all-star season and I'm literally going to fly back for all of it i'm a psycho oh my god i love it it's so cute though oh i mean really i'm just hoping he buys me like a mansion when he plays in the big leagues you're like you know who's always supported me at his hall of fame he's like i especially want to thank auntie becca for loving me even when i was a bad player she would come to the games it's true so that's healthy wow it's finally my turn. Good week. I retrieved the boot. The boot is back. The boot is back. I got the
Starting point is 00:08:12 boot. So many people have been asking me about it. I wore the boot. They saw it on Instagram. They're like, is that the boot? And I want to confirm the boot. Do you want to know how I did it? Yeah. Tell us how you retrieved it. So in my new house, there is a very high window that has a window shutter. And much like when you're shopping at Forever 21, they have this like very long stick with a hook on it where you can like go and get the thing off the top rack, you know, but it's for the window shutter. So genius me got out the step stool or I mean the tall ladder. And also my boot obviously loves me and wanted to be found because she landed exactly right side up with the two little hooks for pulling it on. Ready to be hooked back. Ready
Starting point is 00:08:53 to be hooked by my little window closer. So I window down, I souped her out, took me about three minutes. Thank God she's back. Thank God that story's over. Okay. Now to the serious stuff, bad week. You have a real knack. You know that? What? You think things, I mean, you just made a story out of something no one cares about nothing people were very invested in the boot yeah but you could just be like i found my boot yeah she yeah she made it very dramatic there was a story arc you know because when i told you i lost the boot beginning middle and an end when i told you i lost the boot we talked about the different ways i could retrieve the boot and you were Rebecca, as I remember, very passionate that I didn't saw into my closet.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Yeah. I'm glad you didn't do that. So thank, actually, apologies. I'm glad that you told us how you got it. I was worried. Thank you. Yeah. You were worried that I could just saw some closet. Okay. Here we go. So I went down to San Diego to visit my friend Jodi and we went out for breakfast in the morning and San Diego is so beautiful. Things are open. They have a lot of the streets closed down with like little fences that do the outside breakfast bar, you know? so we had a table for two and next to us was the fence and on the direct right left side about me was a parking spot so we like it was kind of weird when you're sitting in the middle of the road for like cars to drive by and then like park in that parking spot but we see this guy and he's he goes
Starting point is 00:10:26 up to parallel park and he's parallel parking and i was like wow he's getting close he's getting close he's getting close this bitch did not stop he hit the fence oh started rolling over me and Jodi and my parfait. And I like, at what speed are we talking about? Like three miles an hour, but still like, it was like that Austin powers thing where it was like, it's like coming for me and I hit the trunk and I was like, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit. And I was like, oh my God. And then he's like, he goes, what the, like, why are you hitting my car? I'm like, okay, well you're running over me. So then he pulls up, he ends up getting out of the car. And instead of being like oh sorry wow i was pretty didn't realize i was so close he gets out of the
Starting point is 00:11:11 fucking car and he looks directly at me and he goes did you survive that's it and then just walked in to get his parfait what a dick dick did you survive he crunched the fucking fence of wherever we were did you survive did you like what kind of a car was in? He was in like a sedan. Um, and I mean, first of all, it was a lofty parking spot for that long nosed car. Like if it had been the little Fiat I drive, it would have zipped in, but like you should, not everybody has a tiny, tiny car. Not everyone has a tight. It's like, Jack is like, you know what? I'm going to do the compact in her Jeep. Like, no, you don't fit here. No. Anyway, the fact that he got out and he wasn't like, Oh, sorry. Oh, like, Hey, are you okay? He
Starting point is 00:12:01 just went, did you survive? There's something that really triggers me when a man is a fucking smart ass like that. Yes. When they fuck up, he fucked up. He ran me over. You know what that's called? Gaslighting. That is some gaslighting. What a dick. I can handle some bitchy woman having a bad day because at the end of the day, I can understand. I'll be like, you know what? it's hard enough having a vagina. You had a bad moment. I could probably have a drink with you and end up really liking you. That guy, he murders his wife. He's a fucking asshole. And it was her fault. And it was her fault. But I'm also like, this is San Diego. Why are you being so crazy? Why are you being so reactive?
Starting point is 00:12:48 We're in the whale's vagina. Like we're having a breakfast parfait on a Wednesday morning. Like slow your roll. Do you know what I mean? It wasn't like it was that hard to find a parking spot. I hate him. I hate him. Did you survive? so now can i get a vote was the story worth it honestly it wasn't it was not well i'm not okay you almost died i'm not buying it however i bet that he accidentally like backed up and like tapped it wasn't a tap it was it wasn't a tap because you're photo proof of the damage no because i should have taken it you're right but here's the thing i have hit many walls before. And like, I've even hit my friend Oscar at work. I ran into him. I backed into him
Starting point is 00:13:33 because I had to electric car and he didn't hear me coming. So like, I know what it's like to hit something with your car and like you hit something and you feel it and then you stop. Right. He hit it. And then he continued to keep parking to the point where we had to get up out of our seats because the table was going. So, I mean, I didn't almost die, but I felt like that. Okay. Let me come back. Starting point is 00:17:37 However, you may not know this, but she is the reason that you and I spent the last year putting everything that we own into clear plastic bins and labeling them via the home edit because, yeah, she created that show. Boom. But she's really coming to her best self during quarantine with her hilarious mom life TikToks and now her new podcast, Lipstick on the Rim. We're so excited to have her with us today. Please welcome to the Lady Gang, Molly F***ing Sims. Hi, guys. That was a really good intro, by the way. That was like really good. That was like- I have no money left because I literally home edited my whole life. And I know you love organization. You've written books about it. Like, did you know that this was going to be,
Starting point is 00:18:16 I mean, obviously you had a feeling this was going to be the hit of the hit. No, I mean, when they were standing in my pantry, God, this was what, three, three and a half years ago. And I, you know, there is something to say about chemistry, but they just had it. And I walked out and I was like, told my husband at the time, he was not at Netflix. He was a producer. And I'm like, I swear to God, these, these two girls could be a TV show. I'm like, just listen to them. They like talk about a box or like cereal boxes or like like it's just, they could go on for hours and like, they're funny and like they're the odd couple. And then, yes, I do. I am a little bit obsessed with, um, organization. We're actually
Starting point is 00:18:59 in pre-production. We're about to start, uh, two days in a few days, um, for season two. So I'm excited. Exciting. Ooh, I can't wait to see who's on it. I know. Good. So before we get to your podcast, I do want to ask you about the TikTok. So you have begun really helping us celebrating these national holidays that you've essentially made up now. It's like red wine day, white wine day. Like, so what are we, what are, what's coming up in June for us to get excited about? I don't know, but I'm sure I'll find one, but I got to find, I got, there's always like a Paloma, a national Paloma day. I also make up my national day sometimes just because I need to in that moment, but it's fine. I will say we do have a lot of, um, we have, I have a lot of fun doing
Starting point is 00:19:45 them. I would not have pegged myself as a, a TikToker per se in my mid forties, but you know, you never know a side hustle like that can go somewhere. It's pretty crazy. So yeah, no, I, you give me hope because I also have been really trying to make like, Oh my God, elder millennial TikTok happen? So you guys don't have kids, right? Yet? Not yet. One's trying. I know one's trying. Becca's trying. Good luck. Congrats on your, I read, I did a little, I did a little research. Oh, look at you. It's going to happen. It's going to happen. Thank you. Yeah. We're so excited. Okay. So wait, we were talking about WeCare before we started. So Becca and I went to WeCare and we did the cleanse and I actually am like about to book. Like I need to go
Starting point is 00:20:32 back. I need to get back. I will go back with you. Do you know that this was my 21st year of going there? So I went to get ready for sports illustrated. Um, I think it was in 1999. I went with my mom in August. I flew from Paris and I have been going off and on for 21 years. holy i've done colonics i've done it all i can live on awful disgusting green juice um but it's crazy because it used to be it used to be like shit trailer that you're like what what where are we where am i going um they've now since in the last literally year have redone the whole thing for the most part but i will say it shit works it does it like cleans you out. It doesn't necessarily like, it's not like you're going to lose a ton. I mean,
Starting point is 00:21:28 but it also gets you on like the journey to like changing your taste buds and not drinking, you know, a bottle of Paloma, you know, a bottle of wine a night. Like it does help. It's true. I actually was nervous when you, before we started recording, Molly said, which one of you went to We Care? And Kelty and I raised our hands. We're like, wait, why? Because she said it in a way that maybe she heard something through the grapevine. Well, because I had the big poop the bed. I had the poop the bed, which we talked about already on the podcast. I had a colonic that was explosive and I've never been more embarrassed. I didn't know what was happening. There was like a whole Costco bag of pee pee pads underneath me. I didn't know
Starting point is 00:22:08 what was happening. I mean, I was, the stomach was flat the next morning. I'll tell you that. For those of you listening to this podcast right now, for those of you who are judging that have not ever had a colonic. You have no idea what can go wrong. A lot. A lot. But I know they're so disgusting. And I, every time I'm like, I'm not going to do the colonics, but every time I'm there, I'm like, I'll do all of them. You know, like, let me add five. I bailed. I bailed on my last one. I was like, well, what's crazy is that you get addicted to looking at the tube and you're like, wait, this is in me. Like this came out of me. Like I will say like for whatever it's worth, it does, it does help overall health and wellness, get the stuff, you know, all this shit we eat and
Starting point is 00:22:56 all this stuff we, but it is so hard. Exactly. It's kind of intense. Okay. So let's talk about the podcast. This idea obviously came to you during quarantine and you were like, all right, this is something and you're so funny and you are such a speaker. So I'm glad you're like going out in this world again. Um, so where did it come from? You know, it came from, I'm really into, you know, my world of beauty and somewhat of fashion, but I love beauty. I love it inside, outside. I love, as you know, I've been doing things like a week here for a hundred years and I do, I love all the aspects of it. And I think with mollysims.com, it just was that perfect go to, here's, you know, the aspirational, amazing, this is what you could look like too.
Starting point is 00:23:47 But then there's also the side of me where I think some people don't really see, and I don't, accidentally it might've happened by getting talked into doing a TikTok or two that I think, you know, because I don't get to act as much as I used to anymore because I have three very small kids. And I didn't want to live my life in a trailer. So that came. And then I think people forgot if you didn't know me that I was funny. And I, through that, I, I gained a lot of more of being more relatable. And I've always thought I was a relatable. I always thought like, you know, but those two worlds of relatable and aspirational, I really felt like, where is a forum or what, what could I do with that? And I think the podcast, um, really helped
Starting point is 00:24:43 me. Like that's where I was like, cause everybody had always said, you should do a podcast. You should do talk. And I do love talk. I wasn't, I wasn't really set on a podcast per se, but I will say, um, it kind of started in the beginning, a little bit like you guys, all my girlfriends were very different, but because I really love beauty and wellness, I, my best girlfriend of 17 years, I met her. I complimented her hair at Sundance, um, 17 years ago. It was like the perfect golden ombre, long, thick lioness. Um, and we bonded over her hair. And then she kind of, I didn't really mean like, call me. I just meant, that's what you say in Hollywood. Um, and so, and she called you and she called you to call me. Yeah, really? I was like,
Starting point is 00:25:30 oh, she's like, I'm in town. I was like, oh, okay. Anyway, that, that led to, you know, literally we've had three, six babies between us. Wow. He moved from the city. She loved the city to Summit, New Jersey. We're just going to say Summit. And she and I, that's the person who I ultimately talk about a lipstick, a candle, a diet. I live, you know, she lives, I eat to live. she lives to eat. I'm five, she's five, four, I'm five, 10. Like, and we have gone through life together. And I think that's, what's been amazing for me. And I'm sure you guys have found that through Lady Gang, you have a little bit of therapy, you get to learn a lot about yourself and people get to have real takeaways and can really, you know, through your stories and your
Starting point is 00:26:22 sharing of information, it's, it's, it goes both ways. And so I'm hoping, I think we have so much fun doing it. I will say it's been, I it's been easier in a weird way than I thought. Um, it was a little bit hard to have the network chemistry tester. Cause I, you know, I'm used to producing and, and I'm like, I know I'm not going to pick this person. I'm not going to do these. I'm going to, I'm going to pick an unknown girl who lives in New Jersey. Who's never had really any experience. She's, um, was in the fashion industry for 20 years and now she does a baby food startup, but I really want her to do my co-host, be my co-host. And so I will say, um, that audition your best friend. Yeah. I will say I'm like, fine. Chemistry tester within like 30 minutes, you know, I was
Starting point is 00:27:12 like, you're good. We're good. Um, because you can't beat chemistry and you can't be honesty and authenticity. And that is really, I mean, really what it's all about. I think we as influencers and people in the entertainment business, you know, everyone just gets to see the Photoshopped best version, version, version, version of yourself. And I think it's really good way that I can delve into that world and still, you know, keep privacy with my family in certain areas. So now I do want to talk about this is something we talk about a lot on the podcast that you married a normie. So you could have married anyone. And I'm sure that you have an amazing book in you of all your toward, I hope, hot love affairs with like sexy guys in
Starting point is 00:27:59 Hollywood during your reign. But you went and ended up marrying a normal guy. What are the benefits of marrying a normie? We are all with normies. Well, Jared's not a normie. Jack is dating a rock star but we are on the inside he's a normie on the inside um you know i look i had an old saying kind of like when with models like if the boyfriend was always with a model then he didn't have a job he didn't have anything to do and basically probably was a loser um but so i had that real experience of like you know and it's fine i don't you're wrong it's hot a cool actor like dude dirty grungy kind of like you know hippie but at one point I had this story about like I was dating this one guy this one actor he's an ass but um not all um Josh
Starting point is 00:28:55 Jamal he's a sweet one um but did you date him I went on a date with him remember oh yeah not with him I went on a date with his best friend and then somehow he ended up on the date with me so i was kind of on a double date awkward i like it i was like don't bring josh dumel as your wing man you idiot i'm like now i'm gonna try to hook up with josh yeah totally so you were dating an ass that was dating an ass and i remember one day even like i i he like had an airstream and like i was trying to pretend like i liked heineken and and it was like cool and lived in a content and like i don't know is this matthew mcconaughey no no i mean i love matthew but no he's he's he's a better version um matthew's a better version um but it's just like it wasn't normal it was
Starting point is 00:29:42 like trying like if i heard some actor dude whatever say journey one more time my husband is normal um i had my birthday yesterday and this is how normal he is i was putting together a lacrosse team um for my eight-year-old and i'm all coming off the lacrosse field he literally my oldest was like, do you want your birthday to start now? And I was like, sure. Okay. And he goes, we're going to a hotel. We're kidnapping you. Oh my gosh. They kidnapped me. We went, you know, and the, to the hotel had dinner balloons, cake, little Anita co little Chanel. It was just awesome. And then we talked to my kids, teachers, and we skipped school. Of course they wanted to go to Santa Monica pier. And that's my husband. He's normal. He's fun. Uh, but he can, he's definitely
Starting point is 00:30:39 a badass in his own. Like he doesn't, I mean, he was definitely a player a little bit. Um, but he's normal. I don't know. Mary normal. That's the one thing I can, I can give advice on, but he does put me in my place. Like he's definitely one of those guys that, you know I can't run all over him and if I could it'd be like so not sexy um but I do love a normal when you look like you even if you have a norm you need someone that's still gonna like challenge you a little bit you know what I mean it doesn't matter you always want someone it doesn't matter what they look like if you look like me or whatever you always want someone to challenge you I think that's the one thing like my husband really loves and lets me be me like he knows like
Starting point is 00:31:26 again whether I'm trying to produce three movies or I'm putting together a lacrosse team or I'm building a busy business like he lets me I don't know he also is a big picture guy which I love like I love an entrepreneurial you know and he takes chances and he he lives life you know and I think it's it's fun to be on the journey with him I god I just said journey see there you go get your Heineken out, Molly. Well, I was actually very happy that you're going to come on and talk about lipstick on the rim here on lady gang, because for my own real, so I'm the eldest lady ganger. Um, I'm, you know, six months away from turning 40. And at the beginning of 39, I was trying to do this thing called my year of hot, where it was like two teas where I was going to
Starting point is 00:32:18 be like my hottest ever. So I went to WeCare. It started with Becca and I going to WeCare. I was like, I'm giving up gluten and I'm not going to drink carbonated get drinks. And then I got so beautiful. Like the hair, the skin, the abs, like I was just like, it's smoking. It's like you got dumped, but yes, exactly. And then I got too confident. I got too confident in my year of hot and it all fell down. And now I have acne and my face. I haven't seen Dr. Diamond in so long. My face is reverting back to my born face, which is like, so anyway, so I'm having that, like, I'm turning 40 breakdown where I'm feeling so bad about myself. So ugly. The aging is like really getting to me. And like, I I'm not mad at the way I look, but I'm not happy. And I need
Starting point is 00:33:06 your help on aging gracefully and doing it like the way you do it. Cause you don't, you just seem confident. Well, you're confident too. I do love that you did the year of, what did you say? The year of hot, the year of hot. I was just researching something and I was like, I was, I was doing a podcast research thing. And I was like, I want to do an episode on don't waste the pretty. And what I mean by don't waste the pretty, a friend of mine said it just turned 40. She's like, I don't want to waste the pretty. I was like, and you're going to be fine. Own it. That's the one thing I can say. But also, you know, I am a big believer in, you know, nothing drastic, but a little bit by a little bit by a little bit, whether it's a Dr. Diamond. Commence. Exactly. Exactly. But I
Starting point is 00:34:00 also think half of it is your attitude and how you feel. I interviewed the other day, Serena Kerrigan, but her confidence for such a young girl was so amazing. And I was so impressed. And I think like 40, I mean, is the new 30. And I really honestly believe that. I think you got to own it. You got to 40. I know I sound so old saying this and I just turned 48 yesterday. So I know I kind of, but then I look at it and I'm like, look at my life. Like I, I take care of myself. Like, I think, you know, I, so many influencers and entertainment and actors and actresses say like, Oh, I don't do anything. I just drink water and olive oil. And I just use, you know, castor oil in my belly. That's just not being true. Like I have to, I'm having back
Starting point is 00:34:56 problems. That's what happens when you're late 40s. But I have to work out. I have never been blessed. I've never had a Brazilian wake up. I look 17. I have to work hard. And I will say that to you. Don't waste the pretty. Own it. Do whatever you have to do little by little. I'm not a huge fan of lasers just because I've seen a lot of women over the years with crazy microdermabrasion and now they can't, they're so slick and tight and brassy that nothing sticks on their face anymore. But I would, I would own it. I think you've got to own it. You're 39. Do you want to get married? I am married. I mean, do you want kids? No, you don't want kids. No babes. You can go for it. Go see Tracy Cunningham or Liz Young and like get your hair colored. Like go for it.
Starting point is 00:35:51 you know show some skin like I believe that like if I come to the lacrosse team can we do my birthday yes for sure by the way I think with lipstick on the rim like that's the one thing I do tell women like own your shit like you know get in there whatever it is like pull the hair back put a mask on and you know it's okay to do things like I think it's when you wait so long that you're like, holy, what did you do? You know what I mean? Like, I don't, I don't think you can do that, but then I don't think you should be doing Botox when you're 17. So, you know, I'm a little, it's, it's all about balance. You don't, you never want someone to say, what did you do? You want someone to say, Oh, you look, you look good. Or, or, uh, I don't know. I've had people,
Starting point is 00:36:40 I've never had people say like, what did you do? But that's sometimes when I look at me, I'm like, what the did you do you know what i mean like in my mind oh yeah it's a slippery slope on that note when we come back molly's gonna fix your life if she hasn't already if she hasn't already summertime is here and when i am by the pool i want to cool off and i also want to do double duty by cooling off hydrating but also getting my gut healthy that's why i'm obsessed with huzzah So it's probiotics that are added to their cell starts to support a healthy gut. Nappy Boy Radio Podcast. See you soon, baby.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Hey, ladies. Funky. Ask the Lady Gang. Okay, so we're back. This part of our podcast, we have our listeners write in questions about love and life and everything in between. And then we try to give them advice and fix their lives. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it's not so great. So here's our first question. It's from soon to meet well soon to be missus she says my future mother-in-law has been staying in my hundred a thousand square foot condo with my fiance and i for a month now much longer than
Starting point is 00:40:40 i originally agreed to she's a nice enough person and tries her best to stay out of my way however she is constantly at the house she has other family members with homes but my fiance is a total mama's boy so bringing this up will start a fight i do not want to cross the mom line do i talk to my fiance or do I grit and bear it? A thousand square foot apartment with three people. You can't, you can't with a mom, can't with a mom, grit and bear it. I listen, I would have a talk with her fiance. I mean, if I were you, I would have a talk with your fiance and I would, you know, say, listen, it's like so tight. Like I feel like I, she's always here when I'm home. Like I would definitely, but my brother was a mama's boy. My husband's a mama's boy. Don't
Starting point is 00:41:24 with the mama's boy, because I'm telling you, my pick mom, the wedding is off. No, I would, yeah, I would, I would tread lightly, but listen, I'm sure she's probably annoyed too. You're in a thousand square foot. I mean, I'm sure it's also, I mean, a month and a half is a lot. I'm not going to lie. Um, but I would definitely tread lightly, but I would say, you know, I love her. She's amazing, but I'm just, I need, you know, a little bit of space. Is there any way? And if you do it right, he should, you know, come around, at least kind of try to understand your point of view. But that is very tricky. That's just an objectively small space to be sharing with three people. Like that's a fact that you can bring up. It's not like I don't like your mom, but it's like,
Starting point is 00:42:09 this is a very tiny, tiny area to be sharing with three people. I think that like, yeah. Yeah. Wait till you're married, trapped, and then you can nip it in the butt. Yeah, totally. No more mom. I'm a Gemini and Scott's like, how many people did I marry? I'm like several. You know that going in though, right? Our second question comes from Kylie. She says, how do you decide if not having kids is the right choice for you and that you won't regret your decision? I would love to know what made you decide either way to wait to have kids or to not have kids whatsoever. Do you know people that regret the decision that they made? And do you regret your choices? The question is like, Molly, have you, you have three children,
Starting point is 00:43:00 your lacrosse mom, like, has there ever been a time where you were like, God, I could have just not had kids and I could be eating a charcuterie board in Paris right now. Every single day of my life. No. Um, that's why I hide in my closet and drink or hide in the pantry and eat snacks. Yes. You create your own charcuterie board. Why the fuck am I eating? Well, that's the one thing I will tell you. I know you guys don't have kids yet, but you don't understand why you will sometimes just chow down on chicken fingers and cheddar bunnies. And you're like, what the... You're like, I just... Don't waste the pretty. That's all I'm going to say on that one. Okay. So I have not ever regretted it in terms of that way.
Starting point is 00:43:39 I, I, um, I think if you're questioning it, I think you, someone gave me this advice. If you don't do it, um, you, if you do it, you won't regret it. But if you don't, you might regret it. And again, no one can tell you to do it or not to do it. And it doesn't mean you're a better person. If you have kids or you don't have kids, plenty of my, two of my friends don't have any kids and they're amazing. They never wanted kids.
Starting point is 00:44:04 I do think it's a really, um, I think it's a very hard question and I think only you can answer that. Um, you know, I think if you wake up one day and you really wanted a child, I think that could also happen. I always say, you know, people who are struggling, you're going to get your baby, you know, one way or another, you're going to get your baby. So I also say, you know, to the person asking, I, it's okay not to want them. It's okay. It's, it's, it's okay to want them. I never wanted kids young. I knew that my mom was older when she had me. Um, I didn't get married till I was 37, 38. I didn't have my first baby till 38, 39. Um, I was, we were just downstairs talking about it. Like after 35, they tell you you're geriatric pregnant. It's awful.
Starting point is 00:44:55 and all my word, they need a different word. I literally walked out of the specialist. When you're older, you have to see these stupid specialists. I walked out of Dr. Silverman's like this geriatric mama is never coming back. But yeah, I do think that it is really a really personal decision, but I do think they add so much to your life. And I think never in a million years when that baby, you know, you just think, well, how am I going to, you just, you can't imagine the love. Oh, I love that. I love that. Good answer. Good answer. Last question comes from anonymous. She says, I have a friend who I have become close with over the last couple of years, but in the past few months, she has shown a different side filled with lies and emotional
Starting point is 00:45:43 manipulations. We have a handful of mutual friends and she is clearly invested in making our friendship work, but I'm done. How do I carefully pull out of the friendship without causing drama for myself or our mutual friends? That's a tricky one. Um, I'm not for toxic people. I'm not for toxic girlfriends. You know, I have a really good, like you guys, you call it your lady gang. I call it my tribe. I mean, my girls are everything. Listen, we piss each other off. We yell at each other. We're, you know, but at the end of the day, we're literally for one another in every way, ups and downs, babies, divorces, alcoholics. I mean, you freaking name it. We have been there for one another. Um, first of all, I think you could sit down and have a conversation
Starting point is 00:46:27 of like, look, this, you know, be honest, as honest as you want to be. But I also think you could do it the other way where you just kind of slowly pull away and you never know you can come back. And, but, uh, I am not for, at one point you have to, you know, I've, I've had to pull away from relationships. I was texting a girl I didn't talk to for, she didn't talk to me for over two years. She was going through a difficult time. She had a lot of grief in her life. She miscarried four times. Like there was a reason why she was sad and angry. I just, I ultimately though, I couldn't be the punching bag. And I think, you know, but that doesn't mean that our friendship ended. It was just a pause, but sometimes it's okay to end. And I think it's
Starting point is 00:47:11 okay to end a friendship and people will come and go. But I think the one thing that can really pull you down is someone that's not on your team and not on your side. And if you're not on my team and you're not on my side, go f*** yourself. Yeah. She just took us to friend church. It's actually a great way to differentiate because you're absolutely right. Nobody's perfect all the time, including ourselves. And friendships are supposed to go through the ups and the downs and all that. But the thing that I struggle with the most is when to cut it loose. And I think the thing for me in my gut is when they're not on my side. Like you can be pissed at me, you can be annoyed with me, but when you are not rooting for me anymore is when it's a good
Starting point is 00:47:54 time to sever those ties. I think you're right. I think the rooting is the most important. I had a, you know, I had a situation the other day where I was like, listen, I, you know, it got back to me that you're talking about me. I just want to let you know that I know it. I heard it. You can either own it and we'll be okay. And I'll pretend like this conversation never happened. Or you can lie and our conversation, we won't ever have a conversation again. And the person chose to admit it. I'm sorry, wrong. I let it go. But I said to the girl, I said, you're either on my side and you root for me because I root for you. I know your situation. I know what's going on. I know you're deeply unhappy, but I still root for you. So if you can't root for me and be on my
Starting point is 00:48:39 side, we're done. But when someone, you know, is, Becca is not rooting for you, if you don't feel like they want, like, I want my, I want my girlfriends to win. I want them to, in the world of lottery and the game of life, like I want, I want, you know, I want that. But you know, when someone's not on your side. And you know, ultimately, like I had a friendship where, and I was kind of interested, kind of the same with, I just had a friendship like that made me always feel bad about myself. Like I always felt bad about myself. I'm like, I don't want to feel bad about myself. Like, and sometimes people's expectations of you and what they think of you and what they're already so set that you can't change that. And it's so hard because at the same
Starting point is 00:49:26 time, I don't want to feel bad about myself and I don't want to feel like I'm always doing something wrong. And I think, again, it's, it's a slippery slope and people aren't perfect, but when they're not on your side and ultimately, ultimately when they don't root for you, it's done for me. I need to send you in to one of my friends who's talking shit about me. I've been sitting for around for six months, not knowing what to do. Clearly we're not cut from the same cloth. Wow. Listen, don't, here's the one thing I can tell you and it will eat you alive. Do not, do not be passive aggressive. Oh, it's so hard. It's hard. I know no one likes confrontation, but you actually will feel better and it's uncomfortable. But so, so many girls like
Starting point is 00:50:09 don't know how to talk about money cause they don't want to be uncomfortable. Like it's okay to be uncomfortable. It's okay for you to say like, I don't know what to say. You know, awkward, you're talking about me. Are we, are we good? Are we not good? Like it's, it's okay to be uncomfortable sometimes. I think that's the one thing I learned in my forties. Like you're going to be high. You're going to be low. You're going to have, you're going to win. You're going to lose like, but it's okay to like be unhappy. It's okay to be sad and someone dumped you or you're didn't get the pregnancy test. You wanted the answer from it. Like it's okay to live in that. You know what I mean? It's okay. Like, I think everyone's so used to giving the fucking pep talk.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Yeah. It's hard. I don't wish it on anyone, but I will say, Becca, if you end up doing it, you will feel better. And I promise you the girl will as well. Can I send an email? No. And you certainly can't send a fucking text. You millennial. Just send a text that says, fuck you. No, I want to be like, you're talking shit about me. It's really awkward. no do you have receipts a little screenshot you could send over no nothing like that just you know people people talk i know but here's the thing here's the great thing and this is my ask the gang with molly just in case you guys were wondering like this is a spinoff called becca needs help help me molly help me molly help me molly that's a great segment you need to add that
