Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here. Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the Lady Gang. I'm Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. And Callie. And Callie, who's now farting on me. Well, Gassy. Karma. Karma.
Starting point is 00:00:29 karma yes keep any warm come here come here come on no she's gonna sit no with me i love you come on come on come on come here but oh now her butthole's on me oh yes she does okay i'm so excited to guys to tell update you about my good week oh okay well let's get into it it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no guess what oh no never have i been more popular in the lady gang podcast dms emails people concerned about me then i know what this is the pantry oh what were you gonna say no the pantry moths i thought you were gonna say the you're a little present from chris to go to the book oh yeah no that's viral that was so cute it was so cute thanks you don't even want to talk about that i mean i'll talk
Starting point is 00:01:25 about it another time because right now i want to focus on the pantry i'm so enthralled yeah so when we had the home edit on i i described and told you all my dirty little secret that i have pantry moths and people were like oh in my dms they were like no no no damn i've had them for six years i had for two years like once you get them you can't get them take that rice back to costco they'll return anything like so many thoughts on the pantry moss so i am happy to say three months later i am pantry moth free wow i took you know those little toothbrushy things they give you when you buy a reusable straw to like clean out the straw i took that and i scrubbed in between every screw bracket of all my shelving in my pantry had to wipe down everything
Starting point is 00:02:15 I had to throw out so much food. I had to go through every box and look for little amoebas of pantry moths. And then I had cleaned everything. Clean, clean, clean. I put a few things back in, and then I put sticky traps, and even a few moths made it through the toothbrush test. And then they died, and I'm clear. So thank you for your care and concern during this difficult time.
Starting point is 00:02:39 I didn't know it was a thing so many people were struggling with. No, everyone is like, oh, my God, I feel you. I have them. I can't get rid of them no matter what I do. It's really bad. One day when you have a pantry. I probably won't ever have a pantry. It'll be a closet.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I can't imagine that in your pantry you would have some, like, dried rice either. You just don't seem like that kind of person. What do you have in your pantry currently? Not much. Because Jared's been gone. And when he's gone, I'd never have food. So what do you snack on? We don't have snacks.
Starting point is 00:03:06 You just do meals. Yeah. Because we're also the type of people, like, when we get, like, a big carton of goldfish, it's gone in the same day. so gotta keep it goldfish weird choice goldfish is a great snack are you kidding me goldfish and coke nothing goldfish and coke
Starting point is 00:03:22 that's all I had as a child when I went to my best friend's house because I wasn't allowed neither I was a goldfish and coke house you were of course you were of course Mae was like have all the goldfish you want there had to be a reason to have some kids over at my parents house yes they were like come over to our house um okay so
Starting point is 00:03:38 what's your bad week oh thank you um wait so my bad week is that i did that thing that is so embarrassing i was at home goods and i drive a white uh i said usb a white suv and there's a lot of them in la and i think everywhere and so i was like coming out of the thing and i go up to the suv and i open the door and i get in and then i get in and i'm like no this is not my car and i was literally sitting in someone else's white suv it wasn't locked i just got in and i was like feels different in here and then i'm like oh this is my car and i
Starting point is 00:04:18 had to like get up and like get out i don't know if they saw me or whatever their car was just randomly unlocked unlocked was it the same kind of car kind of like like you know rounded in white like mine like a bubble you know um it wasn't i don't think it was a kona anyway it was dirtier than mine in like the you had lots of stuff in your thing but you didn't have like a whole bunch of trash in the seats. So it's like a different kind of car is the crumb car. I know. But the good news is, is that I recently, um, you know, through therapy, one of the things that I've decided to not take on is a lot of why I'm having such deja vu right now. But anyway, I, um, instead of being stressed about everything and being stressed about all the things that Chris Knight
Starting point is 00:05:03 is not doing around the house i have decided to hire another person to help me so um on tuesdays someone will be helping me clean my car every tuesday and just take all the junk out because i can't be responsible for my own garbage you acquire that much junk yes one week in your car yes that's crazy i'm disgusting okay let's move on i don't even i don't even want to discuss i do want to i this is important because we call my sister the most modern woman because she outsources everything she can possibly outsource. Yeah. I'm outsourcing. And it's hilarious. A guy in her office actually coined the term because every single day he'd be like, you know, do you want to go blah, blah, blah. And she, she's like, no, I have it bring brought to the office. No,
Starting point is 00:05:45 this, that, Oh, this is somebody filling my car up in the parking garage right now with gas. Like he's like, you're the most modern woman that I know. She has a person that comes to fold her laundry at the house, all these things. Does this person specifically like, is their job title like on their business card car cleaner? No, no, no. I'm having, I'm having Mariana who help does my house on Thursday and her partner come a second day. And on the second day, it's like, they're going to do outside. They're going to give Callie her bath. They're going to do my car. They're going to do my recycling. They're going to take my trash out. Cause I've been like hauling it up and down. And I'm just like, I'm, I'm going to get divorced if Chris Knight doesn't start doing
Starting point is 00:06:27 shit around here but then i remember before i got married we went to couples counseling and they're like you can't change someone like they are the way they are he's just not handy dandy building a house he's doing a contract on his laptop so like i can't do it anymore it's too much for me so smart decision i would if i have free time i'd like to use it for my creative juices and for my fun fun juices fun juices yeah jack um okay so my good week is the other day jared and i got recognized at cvs not buying not wart remover no it's not what i was buying it was what they recognized us for it wasn't for me it wasn't for jack vanek it wasn't for lady gang it wasn't for first degree it wasn't for the main this girl stopped us and she goes i know you
Starting point is 00:07:18 guys from tiktok from the tiktok where he grew out his hair no and she was so excited like we did i was going to pick up a prescription when i walked through she was like smiling at me i'm like i think she probably knows like a lady gang yeah yeah but i was like i'm not gonna go up to her because like what if i'm also wrong and she's just a crazy person smiling at me so then i go and get my prescription we walk back and she stops us and she's like yeah yeah like the the tiktok where you grow his hair she's like that tiktok inspired me to make my boyfriend grow his hair and then shows us a picture of her boyfriend and his new hair grows no good yeah he looks great i mean i I think every guy looks better with long hair.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Were you like, please listen to Lady Gang podcast? Nope. Oh, my God. I didn't even introduce you. You would never. She wasn't like Jack or Jared. She was just like. Those couple.
Starting point is 00:08:01 These two random people. Your hair looks great. I mean, you can't. Jared's hair is just. You can't deny it. But you know who looks awful with hair? Zach Martin. Awful.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Is he growing his hair? No. Oh. When he had hair. Oh. I think I saw a picture. Yeah, it's true. Like, I hope Ford loses his hair if he looks like Zach.
Starting point is 00:08:21 You know what I mean? and that is so rare so rare and he like he does look so good with a bald head yeah with the hair i wouldn't have not have married that man that's so funny damn i mean i probably would have who cares seriously he wanted to be with you so you had to just like you know whatever take it um so that's my good week so my my bad week i don't know if it's bad or good but i'm gonna throw it into bad so i've talked to you guys about this on tour but i don't know if i've talked about it on the podcast is i joined jared and i joined this facebook group for our apartment complex yes and i if i have one recommendation for everybody out there if you live in like a neighborhood
Starting point is 00:09:00 or an apartment complex join that facebook group because it is wild the shit that goes down in this facebook group number one all of the shit that people are trying to sell and get money from oh like people are trying half burnt toast 20 a half bag full of kitty litter somebody's throw pillows that they've been using for like five years somebody's mattress and mattress cover that they were just like randomly trying to sell it is the craziest shit that i've ever seen in my life but then my favorite thing is is now the shaming that people are doing to each other so we have like a trash chute to throw trash in and then there you have to go on downstairs and put all the big trash and like right where all the dumpsters are and people just decide to like
Starting point is 00:09:45 kind of put their trash to the side so now other people are taking pictures of the people's names and addresses and putting them in the facebook group i would do that i would do that so petty like they're finding their their information from their garbage they're like jared monaco in 318 see that you put your garbage in the wrong spot well because it's people's boxes that they've gotten in the mail yes they're just like dumping on the side of the apartment yeah and they're Everybody is just shaming each other. And I'm like, I love this. Wow.
Starting point is 00:10:13 It is joyful. I love it. I love it. Incredible. Recommend it for everybody. Because you know that goes on everywhere. Yeah. Because people are just nuts.
Starting point is 00:10:20 I would be scared to see my neighborhood. Yeah. It would be terrifying. So my bad week is I, my sister is a big Christmas person. She loves it so much. Her kids are finally getting to an age where kids, I mean, mothers with children, turn your radios off turn them off now oh you don't say trigger warning spoiler alert okay so they finally one one out of two children know the truth about christmas okay what truth i won't say it
Starting point is 00:10:54 here yeah don't say it but then the other one is coming up i think this could be it this i'm hoping yeah hoping they're far too old by the way they're too old i'm like do you have a brain i believed in this in the secret of christmas until i was in fifth grade i got my period the year next year i just can't that is this difference this is how i know that i've been this way since i came out i looked at my mother when i was like four or five and i said would you ever lie to me and she said never i would never lie to you and i said well then is he real and she looked at me and she was like blink blink blink because i literally just made her vow to me she'd never lie to me that's did she lie that is a kid she she did the whole like the spirit of it is real i'm like okay so
Starting point is 00:11:40 it's not yeah so he the man whatever okay talking too much anyways this is a long way of saying my sister always wanted to be home and the reveal when they come down the stairs and the yada yada yada yada whatever and all the shit yeah and i'm like can we please after this year i was like exactly i was like i need to get the out of christmas land yeah i don't enjoy it i think it's excessive and stupid sorry everyone so my sister's finally like scrooge i am a scrooge i will never understand devil's advocate so anyways i was like let's go somewhere warm let's go be warm let's go have fun like whatever she's finally agreed to it but my bad week is i cannot find anywhere that's not booked completely for this year for this mother year like how is that possible
Starting point is 00:12:37 like a hotel i mean not a one that i want to stay in they're all booked that's anything that's going to be warm enough because that's another thing that you can get tricked you know you could end up in bermuda at 60 degrees yeah not doing that where are you trying to go anywhere warm and And, like, the Bahamas, tricky, tricky still with the weather. But, like, Cabo is booked. Everything in Cabo and everything in Mexico. Even, like, an Airbnb? I don't enjoy those.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Okay. Great. I want to have someone bring me a drink by the pool. Okay, got it, got it. And it not be me with ingredients that I bought. And then doing your chores before you leave. And then having to pay more than you would pay for a hotel. And then wiping my toothpaste off my own counter.
Starting point is 00:13:18 And then having to throw those, you know, towels in. just throw them in the wash before you leave yeah okay wow all right so i'm upset i don't know where to go it's it's it's looking bleak and i don't want to go far hawaii is so far from you yeah yeah and from my family right so i forgot you don't live here you know it's but even from even from here with a child to go to hawaii no it's five hours so too far okay too far too far i need it to be direct flight palm spray within a couple hours it's not really like exotic enough for me okay you know well good luck Becca so if anyone has pointers or you know Cabo owns a hotel let you know that's it what's coming up good stuff this episode of Lady Gang is brought to

She makes me, the Kelty of the group, look like a lazy ass. She's got 47 jobs. She hosts on Extra TV. She's got her Higher Learning podcast. She's got a Morally Corrupt podcast. The last time we are. She was here for her first bestselling book, Miss Me With That. And now she's got a novel full of romance and spark called Real Love. And the storyline might seem just a little bit familiar. Please welcome back to the Lady Gang, our friend, Rachel Lindsay. Thank you guys so much for having me. I'm happy to be back. Love the Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Oh my God. So Rachel and I saw each other. I don't remember where we saw each other, but I, she was like, oh, and I wrote another book. And I thought she wrote like another memoir, like the first book like of her stories and i was like damn this girl's been living and then she goes no no it's a novel and i was like is there sex and then she blushed and so rachel is giving us what we want because the colleen hoovers of the world in the lady gang book club we talk about it and like sometimes you just need to read a coho because it kind of makes you horny and then you have sex with your husband even though you don't want to but now rachel is giving us a new updated version of a coho. It's a Raleigh. Oh, we're calling it. Oh, I like the coho. Do you read
Starting point is 00:18:30 the Raleigh? Um, so anyway, okay. So the book is, I don't mean to start with sex, but the book is like a love story, sexual, we've got sex scenes, real love. Well, it was, it's funny that you talk about the sex of it because I remember during the writing process and talking with the editors, it was like, how sexy can we get? How much sex can we be in the book? And I remember we're doing it the first time i'm like not enough sex not enough so it's it like alludes to it but it goes there and it really goes there in the build-up to it without like you get all the way up to the bedroom kind of like a fantasy suite right like you get all the way there but but way more it's rated r nc 17 oh yeah that's the thing the scene wow and when the and when you meet the guy who
Starting point is 00:19:16 this happens with i i hope that the reader his name's kai in the book i hope the reader has the same type of reaction i felt writing him like chills the guy who like you can't speak around like speaks you off your feet you're just captivated by every single thing they do their look their charm their energy that's kai we've all met a kai and i i hate kai i love kai Guy gives me PTSD because I loved him so much. Okay. So explain, tell us the synopsis of the book. Yeah. So I pitched this idea the same time that I was writing my book of essays. And I just had the idea of what if, what if I had said no, because my life has changed so much in the last
Starting point is 00:20:00 six years since I said yes. And I actually use that moment to humble myself to of this almost couldn't have happened because you almost said no. And so I thought it would be fun to explore that side of it in a fictional way. Maybe have some things that I couldn't say and miss me with that. Play out in a fictional way. Play out in a fictional way. It's up to you whether you see yourself or that experience in the book. I don't know. It's not. It's fiction. But it really gave me a fun opportunity to for escapism, but also to see what that life could have been like if I had said no. Staying in that. And I say, I, Maya, the protagonist loosely based off of me, but she was too afraid to say yes. And so she sees her friend go on this show, Real Love. Meanwhile, she sticks
Starting point is 00:20:47 to her life plan and she's continuing to check off the boxes, but life isn't going the way that she planned, even though she's doing, doing every single thing that she said she would do. She's with the guy that she said she was going to be with. And it all just comes to a head, family, friends um career love and you really go through this journey with her and explore that while she's trying to figure herself out at the same time will you be playing the role of maya in the series i will not i have dubbed tika sumter as who i would love to see play the role maya i think she would be great genius yeah so wait are you already doing that or are we just like dreaming right now we're dreaming we're manifesting okay manifesting no no it's good i was like damn girl
Starting point is 00:21:29 you are busy. Um, okay. What I want to know, first of all, I got, uh, we got a advanced copy of the book and I, I started, I started reading, I haven't finished it, but it is so cute, Rachel. Like I feel like you have more brain cells than everybody else. Like your lawyer. And then like you have all these jobs and then you're also writing a fiction novel. Like where did the, like, have you always written? Well, I had help and I'm very open about that. Like say I had help on miss me with that. Um, I had help on this because stepping into this genre, women's fiction, romance novel it there was actually a lot of pushback because I was like well I want to write it like this and like no that doesn't fit the genre even the cover of the book they were like
Starting point is 00:22:07 you have to it has to look this way and I was like I don't I don't want it to look that way you got to have you got to let your reader know where you're going or allude to it there's so much that I had to learn so shout out to Alexa Martin who's an author in her own right who helped me tremendously with this book so I dated this guy long story short I dated this guy in high school kind of kai-ish but not not he's he's not the kai in my life but i went to the small private school he went to the art school a couple of blocks away and it was fame it was the fame of dallas yeah yeah the kids would sing play instruments he was an actor so i started hanging out with him and we would have these jam session nights and i just remember that moment was so
Starting point is 00:22:52 freeing for me. I got into creative writing in my AP English class. It just really was a time that felt, I felt so happy and liberated. And then I go to college and I go to law school and it stifles my creativity. I say that all the time. And now I'm in this world where I have a lot more freedom over what I want to say and do. So when the time came that I was like, now I want to write this memoir, I was like, I also want to pitch this other idea and get back into that. I want to tap back into that feeling that i had when you know i met kai ish it's kareem in the book in my book of essays oh this is cool okay so my real question is i have two questions about the writing process of real love do you do you know when you were in school and they would be like map out your story
Starting point is 00:23:38 and you would do like a brain map and you would have to like do all the bubbles like do you do that kind of shit or you just start going well they kind of gave me the outline for like to plug it in so when i was developing characters in the setting and um the the relationships because the friendships changed right there was a bigger friend group we changed it smaller because it was too much of a focal point how much did we want real love the reality show to be a character in this book whose story leads maya's or delilah delilah's the friend that goes on real love we it was like plug and chug and developing all of it and I based my the friendships it's not off one person because people keep asking me that it's a culmination of friends right because your
Starting point is 00:24:18 friendships change as you get older and I really wanted to explore that but I really wanted Maya to have strong friends in the book uh the guy in the book that's the relationship that she's been in for 10 years that's a culmination of different boyfriends or guys that I've met in the past so yeah it was it wasn't the bubbles and I know exactly what you're talking about but it was more of like who do you want your characters to be family friends and then how do all those connect and I mapped that out and that was really fun when you were having sex in your real life were you verbally like I'm a list girl I feel like I'm a Maya to be honest in this book um were you like having sex and you're like this feels like this and then you were like you like making a list in
Starting point is 00:25:01 your phone of like words that you could use in the novel during the sex scenes yes like in your real life oh my god no no but too embarrassing no not at all but i did i didn't do that when i was having sex i didn't think of it that way it was more of i don't know it was it's more fantasy you know you're you're married it doesn't always play out like that it's like a fantasy i mean which is why you're coho, right? Like it's a, it's a fantasy of maybe some things that you do like in real life. So maybe I was putting together certain moments, not maybe, I mean, I was. I love it so much. And like, of course you writing this book with the fictional show, real love, which by the way, is a great name for a show. Um, they could reboot bachelor is real
Starting point is 00:25:55 love um so of course you writing this book about relove now you have to like rehash all of your bachelor stories again so it's like the thing you've like done so much since you were on the bachelor and now everyone's just like back to like well what do you think of the bachelor it'll always be in me i'm always tied to the franchise and i don't i don't fight it i don't deny it it is how people met me for the first time it it's how i met brian i have these amazing friendships it just put me on a certain path so like i'm like whatever bring it i'll even watch the show anymore so how much can i say what's the last season you watched matt james is matt james nice he's so nice they did him so dirty in the show they like took his entire personality away
Starting point is 00:26:39 he's so i mean i don't know him but like from social media i'm like he seems so funny and has like a great personality and they like i also i also think that he didn't watch the show before and he had never been even on The Bachelorette. They just picked him out of nowhere. So I think he was coming into the show trying to be maybe what he thought The Bachelor was. And so he kind of, I wouldn't blame it as much as they took away his personality
Starting point is 00:27:06 as maybe he was just so scared to be one way or the other because he didn't want to make a mistake. You know, we all have this idea of what The Bachelor or The Bachelorette's supposed to be. But he is a lot of fun and he is the nicest person. Because let me tell you something. I, when I was in Dubai for Beyonce, not the humble brag here, it was a, it was a black tie event.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Like everyone was in gowns and tuxes. And I went and saw Jason Tardik was there, which was also bananas. Um, and I went to see Jason and Matt James was there and I feel like we've met a whole bunch of times, but he never says hi to me. And I was like, it's, he was like, um, what's that thing? I'm sexy, mature, sexy, elusive or whatever it is. Jack sexy and different, sexy and different. He's like, I'm not, I'm not here to meet new friends, but he was wearing like a cargo
Starting point is 00:27:50 short and a bucket hat and i was like this is a choice like you've been invited to dubai for this black tie event and we have a bucket hat on matt james like i didn't know if he was cool or if he was like skirting the rules or if he just didn't give a like what his deal was i don't think he just i don't think he gives a i think he's just like this is me this is the type of guy that i am and he's not he's not changing is he a guy he's not a guy he's not kai there is a i would say and this is no shade to matt james because i adore him he doesn't have the matt the kai charm oh there's a charm there um and that's not matt
Starting point is 00:28:35 it's matt has a different type of charm right that works for rachel who he's with like everybody can be charming in their own right but it's like a quiet sexiness that kai has everything else speaks and he doesn't even have to speak every being is just delicious i love a man that knows to keep his mouth shut yeah he doesn't have to speak he doesn't he doesn't he just has to be oh hi My firstborn is probably going to be Kai, girl or boy. I just can't. No, I'm not pregnant. I know.
Starting point is 00:29:11 That's the next thing is everyone's like, Sonia, you guys have been married for a few years. Do you get that like every moment? How would you even have time to have a child? Well, honestly, that is part of the reason. And to be completely frank about it, I'm prioritizing 2023 in that way. I'm like, I know I want a family. We want a family.
Starting point is 00:29:30 So I'm prioritizing that now. I'm taking the steps. I'm going to the doctor. I've got everything checked out. I got the egg count together. Everything is good to go. Brian's been checked. We're good to go. It's just not as easy as you think to have a kid. And so that's where we are right now. So we're definitely trying. Everybody thinks I put my career first and I do, and I will admit that I've done that a lot in 2023. I'm like still, you know, prioritizing my career, but also prioritizing family. I love that I think also like what you just did is pretty brave and I really commend you because
Starting point is 00:30:09 a lot of women um when you're like in the throes of of it you don't want to obviously understandably you don't want to talk about it and it's like you kind of I know for me for for me I was like lying to people and being like I'm not ready I'm not ready I'm not ready we're just not doing and I'm just not ready but the whole time behind the scenes I'm like trying and there's times that I wish that I had been more open about it because it's really vulnerable. You know, I also, I'm, I'm vulnerable because I want people to, if this makes sense, I don't want to step back into, oh, I'm just like all career oriented and I'm focused on that. I want to want people to keep me honest. And I know this is what I want for myself. And I think, and this is kind of a theme
Starting point is 00:30:53 in the book. I I'm a little scared if, if I'm being really honest and it's easy for me to go back to a safe place of, Oh, I'll just focus on work. And I'll just, you know, if it happens, it happens, it is whatever. And to not talk about it. But if I talk about it, then people feel comfortable asking me about it. And it keeps me honest. It's like, no, we, this is the place that we're in and I want to keep going. I mean, it's only March. So we're just starting this journey, but I mean, it's something that we really want. So I'm, I'm trying to be open about it, but it actually really is the question's not uncomfortable i just it's like my own issues that i'm uncomfortable talking about it yeah i'm very excited about this next sponsor they are brand

You're listening to the Lady Gang. Okay. Other uncomfortable question. I heard like two weeks ago that they're going to put Chris Harrison back in as the host of The Bachelor. Do you support? No comment on that. However, I really am of the firm belief, and this is just
Starting point is 00:34:03 an opinion of mine, that they started those rumors themselves. He's got a podcast to promote. yeah i it makes no sense for abc to start those talks when they went through so much there were so many opinions about it they finally came to an agreement they parted ways they split they moved on why in the world would they rehash that all over again it doesn't make any sense unless you're meant to be a point of conversation for your podcast i think that abc came out and was like no immediately jack yes they did so i think that rachel's probably right about who was starting those rumors how often normally it's like we reached out to abc and there's no comment they didn't even get to type that sentence abc was like that is not true yeah those conversations
Starting point is 00:34:54 it just doesn't make any sense where did it come like how did it start to just like was it just like just was in the press it just like was in the social media and stuff in the it was i think there was an article written about it so it's like whoa i mean well this is something that we do because like when you're trying and i know you were just on the view um the view was just promoting your book like when you want to get that job on the view um you like you go on the view you do your once over thing and then you feed it to like some blog or whatever that like you're being considered even when you're not being considered because you just want the people at the show to be like oh wow becca's being considered to play marilyn monroe like oh we never thought of her
Starting point is 00:35:39 but now we maybe we should because people want that like it's like it's a whole you plant the seed it's a whole theory of hollywood so interesting speaking of hollywood you were on watch what happens live yes oh my god during the most tumultuous time in the whole world in the bravo world the bravo world sorry but it seems like the whole world everybody people who don't even watch the show we're talking about this everyone we talked about it on higher learning we never cover bravo oh my god it's like what's going on with tom and ariana what is going on jack can you give us like a brief reddit well it's so funny because i don't watch the show either like i used to watch it a while ago but i'm like i am watching every tiktok
Starting point is 00:36:18 i'm reading every article like i am staying on top of it but basically there's tom schwartz and tom sandoval and tom schwartz was married to katie tom sandoval is is he married to ariana no they've been together for nine years been together forever and then there's raquel who was dating james kennedy dj they broke up she started hooking up with tom schwartz and then recently it turns out that she's been having an affair with tom sandoval and ariana found out because she was at tom's show filming his show which his music is horrible she was filming him on his phone and a text popped up from raquel of a nudie video or something and she saw it and then that's when all the shit went down so it's wild it's when you think about vanderpump it really
Starting point is 00:37:13 is based on cheating when you draw the line you're like this person with their best friends with this and then they broke up and then they went with their ex-husband it's that's truly how everybody is connected this isn't even the first friendship cheating scandal that we've seen there was and tom sandoval was involved in that so you would think that he would know his best friend was sleeping with his girlfriend while they were in the same apartment i forgot that tom sandoval and kristin dodie were in a relationship together and she was fucking jacks his best friend yes yes and then he got with Ariana but there might have been some crossover they think that Ariana started dating him while he was with Kristen but they've never admitted to that now here we are
Starting point is 00:37:55 nine years later and he's having a seven month affair with Raquel aka Rachel and I'm convinced that Tom Schwartz was just a distraction and he knew what was going on so they were he was her wanting to make out with him was a distraction she was really having this affair with tom sandoval they have matching necklaces they're apparently in love it goes deep well did you see the thing about the coachella thing because it came out that raquel made out with tom at coachella and then he kind of took the fall from it which tom tom schwartz was like oh yeah but then he was like but i wasn't at coachella but then everybody thought it was him when it was really tom sandefall that she was making out with at coachella the whole time yep he is guilty
Starting point is 00:38:47 i think that the next book is going to be called real pump and it's going to be your like you did real love and now you're gonna you get that you get that bubble chart rachel raquel and you you put all your characters in because i feel like this is this is the next sexual uh book from rachel lindsey it's too good maybe that's a great idea we can collaborate on that together real pump real pump i can't okay my last thing is um uh any does anyone else want to say anything about vanderpump i don't know i'm just so excited about the whole thing the cameras are back up we should say that the cameras are back up they were finished filming season 10 they got those cameras in there some say even before it started as if production new so we will see this all play out
Starting point is 00:39:36 I'm hearing that they've, they've already done ITMs. They had Lala confront Raquel. It's just all that feeling. Sorry for Ariana and all this. Cause she's the person who's really suffering, but apparently their ratings were very, very bad. So it seems like they needed this. They needed this. Okay. My last thing is that Rachel Lindsay, you are, you're so perfect in, in so many ways. And you are, you know, you're beautiful. You look great on TV. You write amazing books. Um, you're smart. You have like the only successful bachelor relationship I think left. Um, so I want to know from you last thing for today, like what is your best celebrity up? Like what is the thing that when you're interviewing a celebrity and maybe this only happens to me, like you, this
Starting point is 00:40:22 person comes, you don't who the they are. You were like, Oh my God, you were so great in blah, blah. It's not that person. You just sat down with Michael B. Jordan. Like you're like Michael F. Jordan? Like, I don't know what it is, but like, when is the time on extra TV that you just bombed the bomb bomb? Okay. I don't know if I've had the moment. I will say this happened to me. I was doing Oscars over zoom. This is when we were really living in zoom. So I'm working my first Oscars and the way they would set this up is they would put everybody in a room and you had to submit your question before but if your question was asked you had to ask another random question and you didn't know if you were going to be called or anything like that so you're
Starting point is 00:41:06 listening to reporters and these these actors are have won and they're standing in this room and so i was interviewing the actress who won best supporting actress for manati i think is what it was called um and she's super accomplished and it was there there's history being made like she She might have been the first Korean actress to win the award. And everybody, Brad Pitt produced the movie. And everybody was asking about Brad Pitt, Brad Pitt, Brad Pitt, Brad Pitt. And, you know, you fanned out over him. What was he telling you?
Starting point is 00:41:37 And I was like, gosh, these were my questions. So I say to her, oh, I was like, you seem so excited to meet Brad Pitt. He was a producer. What did he, you talked to him about him and what did he smell like? It got lost in translation. so she was like I'm not a dog I don't know you know she's like I'm not a dog I didn't smell them and then she goes on to answer but people were so upset with me and you know like that's something we say when I interviewed Brad Pitt so many people were like what did he smell like what
Starting point is 00:42:09 did he smell like but it got lost in translation and it's a it's a cultural thing that we do and I didn't realize that when I said it and people were so upset they were like Rachel's so disrespectful this woman is so accomplished how dare you ask and I was like okay well you don't understand the setup so that was that was a big moment it's probably the biggest moment how does he smell i never will ask again i how about this i had a sinus sinus infection i smelled nothing the curse oh my god so that's i guess that's my karma coming back to me i asked what he'd smell i couldn't even smell him he smelled like no no you were asking because you also you had lost your sense of smell you're asking for help because we all have to know collectively so you get it but
Starting point is 00:42:55 lesson learned people were very upset with me and how do you explain that so this is like the first time i've really been able to explain it okay i love that well no is the thing is is that nobody understands what we go through and like this setup like my whole my whole tiktok life is like embarrassing moments of me asking shit on the red carpet that like that was never supposed to be in the package that's just me like warming that person up like I bowed to Dua Lipa at the AMAs and people are like oh my god and I was like I'm not fucking airing the bow like I'm just making a moment making her feel comfortable having like a little fun on the carpet like get off your high horse anyway so that if that's your worst up like congratulations you really are
Starting point is 00:43:34 as great as everyone thinks you are like you really did it like you're Rachel Lindsay go get it I wish I pulled you're so much fun on the carpet so much fun when I see you on the carpet like oh I'm going to have a lot of fun because I never know what Kelty is going to do. And it does make a moment and it's always, I mean, and they love it. I honestly think they love it. You make people feel comfortable on the carpet when you talk to them. We have a fun time. We have a fun time and you're going to have fun time because you're going to go to your
