Each week We catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Welcome to Lady Gang. I am Becca Tobin. We're with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight. Good day, good day. Good day. Good day. How's it going? I just realized my good week.
Starting point is 00:00:45 I needed prop. Oh, go get it. You guys keep going, okay? This is the new Kelty Knight. Actually, she's the old new Kelty Knight. Yeah. Same, same. She's back, baby.
Starting point is 00:00:56 i'm so happy you have a light in your eyes again i know right i was dead right you were dead for a while you were it was actually quite scary because it was like is this what happens before you die oh my god is she about to meet her maker that's what i felt like i know it's crazy to be like but i i've never felt worse in my life and i thought something's really wrong with me i got to cash out my retirement and live because like something they're going to find something horrid terrible whatever so i'm so thankful yeah and i've done so much work so i just do you think now maybe you'll stop posting about the world ending because you have something to live for no no no that's part of my personality no that's a different thing it's not it doesn't even match
Starting point is 00:01:40 your personality because there's literally like nothing makes sense as for as hard as you work then to also believe that it doesn't matter because the world's about to end it just it's like it's it's a juxtaposition that it's not even like cute it's not even cute it's keeping me humble like but like can't it just be something like at the end of the day even if i die of old age and the world is fine like it still doesn't matter that much that's not you still you have to go as far as to be like everyone's gonna die up in a fiery explosion yes well now the new thing is ai well yeah yeah yeah yeah don't even we don't even talk about that on this podcast this the ai free zone because i think that it's really annoying to have conversations about
Starting point is 00:02:20 well we need to start a new podcast without backup it's just about conspiracy and then jack's gonna have a kid and she's gonna be like we can't do this anymore right 100 and then it'll just be me looking at the camera hello welcome to another episode of lady gang conspiracies nothing matters i will did you know the universe is not traveling the world is not traveling like this it's actually traveling like this yeah whoa okay anyway well you know jared taught me something recently wait jared what was it that if you you can't time travel no you can't you can't teleport because the world is spinning and moving so fast at such a a speed that you can't just teleport because then you'll end up teleporting somewhere in space because the world is now yeah was there
Starting point is 00:03:04 an argument that we are teleporting i mean it's a theory that yeah maybe didn't you see will i am on the 2002 cnn new year's rock and eve definitely teleported hologrammed into that with dick wolf or whatever his name is wolf blitzer the fact that you had that ready to go on your mind is so weird you're insane you're really back you're back thank you her mind she's got that big brain energy good lord the mind is sharp good lord yeah it's time for good week yes it is bad week oh no um bad week i am official well i know i'm old but how many times have you said i'm officially old on this podcast when does officially old begin it starts today it starts today because i was today years old when i cared about what
Starting point is 00:03:58 sock I was wearing okay I am now that's crazy it took you this long sorry well Jax lived her life as this person right the particular particular I've had a sock aversion when I was a kid yeah yeah so you couldn't have the seam on the top of your toes such an only child you're so weird my parents were like try to find some clothes to wear today and make your lunch and I hope you walk yourself to school on time and do your homework and if you didn't oh well hope you don't don't forget your key or else you'll die in the snow you know it's teen miles he's like oh you don't you don't have any socks we should probably knit some anyway i am now in a favorite sock era where i no longer can wear and i don't mean it no disrespect to haynes but i'm like no i have haynes
Starting point is 00:04:49 that's what jack's wearing but i i can't wear like the 15 pack from target anymore i need a bombus or something like this with a arch support soft toe the right amount of compression and i know this because i was flying back from canada and i stopped at the gift store because the sconce is coming anyway i bought a pair of cheap socks that had maple leaves on them because i thought they were fun and i wore them yesterday and i realized i this is not a supportive enough sock and i need a better sock is not gonna help you dumb choice no matter what okay so so anyway i'm old i care about what socks i wear honestly don't disparage haynes these haynes the little 15 pack with the the little ankle sock best sock i've ever worn okay wow here's something that's
Starting point is 00:05:37 really gonna delight a sponsorship they are the best i have them in multiple colors where the sandwiches and socks sandwiches and socks okay um my good week is something that happened on tiktok live and this is gonna really bore you so get ready i've started picking rocks wait no i've noticed you've started doing tiktok lives a lot and i'm wondering how that's going for the tiktok live helps your algorithm allegedly yes no um anyway so i started doing tiktok lives but i'm doing them my yard while i'm doing yard work so i'm like picking out the rocks and i'm talking to the people it's like just 20 minutes and i'm on the tiktok doing the rocks and i'm having deep conversations with my friends on tiktok and i know you're sleeping but here's what came up
Starting point is 00:06:18 no i'm this is me stunned okay stunned because when tiktok started i believe it was jack and you that said the only people who do tiktok lives are weirdos yes yes and it's true and i'm still no and when it comes up in my feed that i'm like it's like people it's people like what the is going on they're sorting little gems into bed they're like doing like no it's asmr stuff usually psychics and psychics and a guy who has herpes and he wants to answer questions live like i appreciate what he's doing yeah that's there needs to be a reason why you're doing the tiktok i'm doing the tiktok because i was talking about what foods and it came up in the tiktok is cereal a soup yeah is this a question this is a question for the gang i think cereal is a soup yeah
Starting point is 00:07:11 no cereal is cereal no but cereal is a soup it's a liquid that has a little something in it it's like technically a soup is chili a soup yes chili is yes like a stew soup well what did you say more soup if you can make it in a crock pot it's a soup therefore cereal is not a soup i mean that's your own you want to put cereal in a crock pot crack a little salt and pepper on it you can make sort of like a why is this even a debate like we the world is ending with this if this is what we're talking about on the internet it's ending it's one of the biggest debates on the internet we had a 30-minute conversation about they don't have it at soup plantation tell you that much is this no a cereal is like a dessert soup or what if it's a raisin brand what do you
Starting point is 00:08:00 think i think i'm like spaghettios are very confusing to me because it has the vibe of a chili because it's a tomato soup it's a soup but it's not it's a pasta is pasta soup no it's so confusing anyway let us know what you think i'm not going to bore you with any of this anymore because it is bleak okay jack i'll go so jared recently played a festival in the uk called sam dunk festival and my good week is just i am very happy that i am marrying somebody who travels for a living and it gives me an excuse to just like go all over the world it's the perfect thing for you it's the perfect thing for me because i'm like oh great your tickets already paid for to go to london now i just have to pay for one ticket and then we get a half off trip
Starting point is 00:08:50 basically yeah so it was great they did awesome did you find business no oh you should get companion passes how i don't know if you fly enough they give them to you i mean you get a free ticket it's only a coach we don't fly that much but i did you know come for a plus just sorry keep going just remind me i'll make this my bad week okay so that's my good week is just i gotta go like follow jared around and it's great it never gets old what she's a dickhead go just go no you finish uh it's we can't go out of order okay my bad week is and it's a by proxy bad week for jared so oh no we're at slam dunk fest their artist area is bleak you can press the button believe it was very very bleak it was
Starting point is 00:09:40 just like one tent with a table that was the bar and then like two people that did not want to be there that were the bartenders but also the major issue that i have with it is why are you calling it a slam dunk festival because that's what it was called but why i don't know no why are they not you i don't think you're like nicknaming the festival is there a basketball why is it called that yeah we're not sport related it's a music festival yeah i'm sure so yeah it's nemo festival but anyways so weird branding so jared's new thing is drinking vodka red bull which is crazy yeah i respect it it's like it's his little go-go juice before he goes to play so he goes to order a vodka red bull from the bar now we all know if you've been to uk they don't like ice no they're
Starting point is 00:10:32 not a fan of putting ice and drinks no so first of all he gets the vodka red bull lukewarm the guy just puts vodka and red bull warm both warm into a cup so then jared's like can i have a few ice cubes so the guy's like uh okay so he goes and puts his grimy ass fingers now into the the ice bucket that all the drinks are in and just takes a few one by one one by one like three ice cubes and puts it in jared's drink one of the ice cubes falls out onto the wood table puts it back in he takes it with his grimy hands and puts it in the chair do you think it's like because out of spite they're like i hate americans your stupid obsession i mean i think they just don't they don't they don't get ice no i think it's this sort of thing like if i were at a restaurant and like some
Starting point is 00:11:24 american came up and had their big jug of water and they put it on the table i would probably do something nasty to that thing too that's true he did do something nasty it was in jared's drink get the job done though did you drink it yeah he drank it he didn't care but it was like it's one of those moments that jared will remember for the rest of his life him just like putting his grimy hands in there like one ice cube by one with his like dirt all over his hands oh vodka red bull baby i would take that over a warm drink though yeah me too no okay so my my good week is there is something on tiktok called going around called bed rot oh fun that sounds like something i'd enjoy it is it's like when it's 3 p.m and you get in your bed on a
Starting point is 00:12:08 friday night or friday afternoon sorry it is friday night for you guys to go to bed at like it is you like put on a movie you eat your every meal from the bed like you're literally rotting in the bed like that's part of mental health yeah it's taking care of yourself yes take it to your bed for a day of bed rot i love that yeah i love to rot in my bed yeah it's like rotting on the couch too which is what i prefer and here's my bad week oh god are you gonna tell the story yeah kelty texts me getting details about like travel for the wedding and you know because i had sent her early early early months ago months i was like here's what we're doing here's where we're like we're flying like you don't have to join us but if you'd like whatever no big deal i send her
Starting point is 00:12:51 all this shit months ago yeah she texts me and i didn't book it because i didn't know where chris knight was going to be right and i also didn't know if it was going to be the premiere day of superfan and i was going to have to be like somewhere else and then come in i didn't i didn't know i was scared i knew that if i had to choose between my career and your wedding i would choose my career obviously I'm just kidding um but that I was ready to book okay so she was like oh I waited too long I waited too long and now it's so expensive and I was like how what I told you to book this months ago and she's like well with with Chris his schedule we need to go to Paris for one night I say yeah that's what we're doing as well and mine wasn't that much and she
Starting point is 00:13:34 said and he doesn't fly coach he doesn't fit in the seat and I'm like yeah we're doing the same it wasn't that much and she goes so we're bougie and we we waited so long to book i'm gonna try to figure it out with points today and i'm like it's just like literally i'm sitting there being like guilty we also booked a non-coach seat listen and there's nothing wrong wait but my okay i'm just saying we're just so bougie she was like let me figure this out you wouldn't understand chris is six seven and we're fancy and i'm like okay well my husband is also six three doesn't exactly fit in a coach seat overseas that well either and also we are not flying coach we're not bougie but we're also not flying coach but she's so bougie we'll see you we'll see you at
Starting point is 00:14:22 the wedding i didn't know it came off like that that's so funny cj has to fly first class well okay so i mean i don't want to have to okay first of all there's many tall people that are not no i know i understand here's what happened is that i waited too long she's like oh my husband's so tall and handsome and we're so hard being so rich and bougie anyway i could have bought a new car well you waited too long too long and you're up in the summer i didn't realize it was going to be so but i just i thought that september was off season but it is it is not high it's actually the best time no it is the best time i am so excited and we figured it out we did fly on points yeah so we flew on points la to paris and then on the way back we're gonna fly we bought our flights
Starting point is 00:15:14 we didn't we didn't want to spend all of our money so we're flying from paris to newark and then we flew on points back from new works we're gonna connect new work because if we didn't it was seventeen thousand dollars oh shit yeah now you could buy a new car exactly yeah and i was like this is a lot of money for a flight but flights are i waited there's one seat on every flight all the drugs are sold out anyway i waited too long but here's the thing it's nobody's fault but my bougie self that's right you know what i mean i'm bougie that's why i had to buy a hundred dollar dress but i didn't want to tell you i was like i spent all my money on the flight i was shocked i was like oh it's beautiful you're gonna love it okay anyway it's coming let's do a show

Starting point is 00:19:49 please welcome to the lady gang the former mary fitzgerald and the new mary bonet hello thank you for having me um how's life it's good it's interesting so season six of selling sunset just dropped and on purpose i know i only watched the first two on purpose because i we don't want a spoiler right because we don't want like any i don't want to know how it ends and jack i know you watched the first couple and becca watched first couple so yeah we don't know everything so we know some because we don't i'm gonna finish it this weekend you know um first of all you look amazing like i feel like the fashion and your makeup like you look incredible how much work is it to get ready for these like shooting this show you have a different freaking designer outfit
Starting point is 00:20:45 every time we see you on camera well okay so here's what happened um in previous seasons and most some of us had stylists and some of us did hair and makeup I didn't um I just kind of ran with it this year I did uh hair and makeup and I also didn't have a stylist and only because I don't have time to shop and I hate shopping and so I thought you know what that hassle every other season just you know you go buy 10 outfits and in three or four days you're like okay that's on, have to do it again. And it is so time consuming. And if you're trying to keep work going and actually focus on your real clients, it's impossible. There aren't enough hours in the day. So apparently stylists have way better fashion than I do. Everybody keeps saying this
Starting point is 00:21:39 and, and I'm very grateful. Um, but I think in previous seasons, I'm just lazy and, and I'm like, yeah that's good enough whatever and but if someone brings it brings me options i'm like oh that's dope and so i select everything i don't i won't wear stuff that they just tell me to wear i'm like oh nope that's hideous i'm not doing it and they're like no this is trending i'm like don't care really i'm not doing it um so i mean i still control over it but it just makes it easier where someone brings me the selections um so yeah well you wouldn't have been able to tell though because you like that you didn't have that in the past because your fashion has always been amazing like i would have never known but like yeah because you could tell maybe with some of the
Starting point is 00:22:26 other cast members they're like yeah seems like it was diy what do you think of what do you make of all the memes going around, um, about like brokers open 2 PM and like, it's like a boogalair dress and Emma's like boobs are out and naked. Like, have you seen all those memes from this season? It's so fun. Like when you actually go to show a house, well, I feel like you're a little more subdued, but like when you actually go show a house, like, do you ever just wear like a t-shirt blazer and a jean and a loaf or never? I do. I actually change what I am wearing based on the clientele and where i'm showing it um in the hills you can be much more uh just laid back and and stuff and if you go to bel-air and you have like an older um couple that's a clientele
Starting point is 00:23:16 you have to dress much more conservatively because that just does not fly um with certain types of clients so um sometimes i go ahead and and and just kind of plan out what i'm going to wear i'll cover up no cleavage stuff like that and then some of my clients are like they get mad at me if i've worked they want the full selling sunset fantasy no no they went the opposite they're like take those heels off stop doing this to yourself they're like come on comfy comfy shoes you don't you don't need to dress up for us we already know you know what you're doing and right okay so i I've been yelled at by some of my repeat clients, um, for, for showing up in heels. So funny. God bless them. God bless them. Um, do you, do you watch the show back?
Starting point is 00:24:07 Okay. So we get to see it about a week before it airs, just to kind of prepare ourselves and to be able to answer questions for press. And that is always, it's, it's difficult. Um, I really don't it's always very emotional when when we watch it because there's so much that's said and done that you don't know about and and you know for me I just have to take a second and process and be like all right that is very disappointing um or hurtful so let me think about it what was going on at that time because it's so long ago right but like when we film it and then by the time you watch it. And, and so I have to kind of just have perspective and then reach out and talk to the person. So I don't get mad and start spinning out like you. So I, you know, I think
Starting point is 00:25:01 about like, you know, how I want to handle it. And then I just reach out privately and talk to them so that we can maintain a adult relationship. There are times watching, and this is in all seasons that i feel like and listen i love everyone equally they're all my special hollywood children but like i do feel like you're the only one that's like doing the real work like i feel like you're the only one with a file folder on her desk okay can i can i jump in because i just watched a tiktok about this this morning that you are the only one that's really working somebody went through and and was like this is how many houses each cast member has sold over the past year you had like eight or something like that and then the next person had one and then many
Starting point is 00:25:50 there's one cast member that wasn't even on the list no i think i can step in as your um temporary uh publicist and your answer could just be like well i don't know what everyone else is doing maybe they're trying to sell houses but i'm just you know selling more that's a good answer mary excellent answer honestly i don't pay attention to what other people do um right i i focus on myself and if i'm focused on them i'm not doing my job for my client so um i i've never looked anybody up like i don't know when they tell me about stuff if they sold it if they didn't like i'm like whatever but i i really don't um pay attention to some of the stuff like that but yeah i have sold um i don't know the exact number but it's like 111 million something like that wow
Starting point is 00:26:43 it's crazy no you're so successful and that's what i like about you is like there's the drama and then at the end of the day you're still like okay now we're doing our to-do list like i really enjoy this very guilty of her it's very kelty so i um i have so in lady gang we all have our individual lives. And I think that you're a little bit Mary of like this every girl, because I feel like there's a storyline of your life that has gone along really closely with each one of ours. So I kind of want to do, I want to like talk through all of those things. So the first, the first one, um, I want to start with the, the, the hardest one and then we'll go to the fun stuff. But, um, I know you were really open about your miscarriage and Becca,
Starting point is 00:27:24 our Becca has had years of infertility, just had her baby, um, via surrogate after many, many, many years. And we've seen her and loved her through a lot of these kinds of really hard medical things. Was it, and you kept it to yourself for a long time. Was it so hard to go through something like that in the public eye? Yes. Um, that's why I kept it to myself for, I don't know how long it was. It was probably about a month and a half or something like that. And I kind of just hid away because I was I was going through a lot of physical issues, too. Just after the miscarriage, I actually went to Cabo. I was filming two days after I had to present an award.
Starting point is 00:28:07 I still kept working. But other than that, I just hid away and I was just trying to deal with it and process. But I had the the Elton John Oscar party or something like that. And so I was out in the public and just trying to act like nothing was going on. And on one hand, it helped just getting my mind off of it. But on another, I was still in physical pain and it was very emotional, way more than I thought it was going to be. And then we did the photo shoot that came out for season six. I was deathly ill in that.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Like I was trying my absolute best, just in between takes when they're doing videos, I was like, give me a second, give me a second. And I was like, okay, go. And I tried to answer, and I'm like, oh, my God, because it was a septic miscarriage, and I didn't know. I was sitting there shaking. I was, like, so cold, shaking and sweating, and they kept having to touch up my makeup. And I was just, like, from morning when they did my hair and makeup to, I think they sent me home around 3 p.m., something like that. And I don't have any individual shots or anything like that.
Starting point is 00:29:12 They're like, you need to go home. You need to rest. And I thought maybe I just overworked myself because I do that. I'll just like keep going, going, going until my body's like, okay, if you're not going to stop, I'm going to stop you. Um, and I just crashed. And so I thought that's what it was because just emotionally and physically from the miscarriage. Um, and then I just wouldn't stop. I just kept working through it. And I thought that's what it was. And then my assistant came over and she saw me in bed and she was like, Oh no, you are not okay. Cause I was still just dripped in sweat
Starting point is 00:29:45 and just shaking. Like my eyes were like rolling back in my head. She was like, we're taking you to the doctor now. And so she called my doctor and she, and she told her what was going on, my symptoms. And she's like, get her in here now and take her to the ER. Um, and so they had to do surgery and, and remove, cause it was like toxic and a septic mascara. So yeah. And so I tried to hide. Yeah. I tried to hide that too, until I was emotionally like, okay, to actually like talk about it in a positive way because I want it to help other people. There's no point in me talking about it just to be like, woes me. Like a lot of people go through it and, and people don't talk about it. So I thought if I'm going to go through this and I'm going to talk about it, I want it to
Starting point is 00:30:28 try to help and make a difference. So I need to be ready to talk about it. Um, for me and for other people. I didn't even know septic miscarriages were a thing. I didn't either. Yeah. Um, no, I think it's actually so important. I think, I think now more than ever, women are opening up about miscarriages and how hard it is, whether it's like the emotional toll or the physical toll that your body takes or both. Um, you know, I didn't realize there was so much shame surrounding feeling sad after a miscarriage. Like a lot of women feel silly for like feeling bad and expressing it because it is common, but it's like another thing that women go through that's really hard and really shitty
Starting point is 00:31:14 that we don't feel like we're allowed or entitled to discuss. So what you're doing is really, it's pretty amazing. Cause it's like, I think men think of miscarriages as like, Oh, she goes to the bathroom. It's like, she gets her period and then everybody moves on. And I think even some women believe that if they haven't had a miscarriage themselves. So like the awareness is amazing. So I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I'm glad that you're talking about it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Thank you. Okay. Now it's for me, Jack, I'm saving you to the last because Jack's trying to buy a house. So she's, you know, um, I, I am someone who is constantly, I don't know why, I guess I'm like Norway. I'm a very polarizing person, but for some reason, you mean Switzerland? Oh yeah. Switzerland.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Sorry. okay so my question is can you stay switzerland when your friends are in a relationship and break up i'm literally going through this exact same thing except they were married and we're really good friends with them and they work with my husband and it's like i'm friends with the wife i'm friends with the husband and it's like i i don't know so it's a big storyline for you this season on selling sunset of like, whose side are you going to go on on the Chrishell and Jason thing? And I, and I just feel like in general, this is a position that we're put in as women all the time of like, what, how do you handle it? Even whether you think someone's wrong
Starting point is 00:32:40 or you think someone's right. I don't know. It's just, well, how are you handling it? Um, you know, I didn't pick a side and I know that it came across that way, but I didn't pick aside I was they're both very good friends of mine and I love them both dearly and it was so hard to see them both so sad um I think what the show didn't hit on was the fact that I was out of town um I was out of the country and also dealing with a family emergency uh at the time when Jason called me said they broke up was like wait I'm sorry what and and so I was dealing with something a big deal like trying to juggle this up Chrishell like started going out of town she wanted to get away and so there were there were aspects of it where I did spend more time with
Starting point is 00:33:29 Jason um but Chrishell also had Emma as she ended up meeting G later and then I then once Chrishell and I started talking then Jason really like it was very hard for him when he found out she was dating she and so he needed me more again and Chrishell and Emma had become so close that she you know had her own thing she was traveling to Australia all the time and then I started going to Europe and and like we were just on different um on different schedules but there was never any any like real conflict where I just abandoned her like I mean it wasn't like that we didn't hang out as much um i would check in occasionally but i'm unfortunately i'm not and it sounds really bad to say i'm not that friend that checks in every day i don't i i'm
Starting point is 00:34:18 just not the person that needs to talk if if someone wants to talk to me and and text me 25 times a day i'm like please chill out i'm trying to do shit like other guy i can't i can't i hear that but i'm also the first person that if something goes down where where the like other friends are like oh this is too much drama for me like I mean look call me when you're when um like when you have your shit sorted out and I'm the one that jumps in I'm like what do you need we're gonna fix this I'm here let's do this and and so I'm not like the everyday how are you what's going on like stuff like that like if there's something going on tell me and I'll be there for you but if not let's plan a date to chit chat and otherwise I'm taking care of other stuff
Starting point is 00:35:03 and and that's just my personality and I feel bad because some people do need that they need the constant interaction and so um I always feel bad when when um people are hurt like I that I don't do the bad that but I think any of my good friends know that that's just who I am but if you need me call me and I'll be there so well it seems like you were kind of just it was circumstantial It's like, you're around Jason more. So you're spending more time with him. Chris Shell was an Australian. Like you guys were just like on, like you said, different schedules and that's okay. Like every we're adults and we all have our own shit going on. Like we can't be expected to check in on somebody every single day after a breakup. Like that's. Yeah. I just recently heard something
Starting point is 00:35:48 about a divorce couple who are a couple who was going through a divorce and they decided to go to all their friends and be like, invite both of us to everything. And we amongst ourselves are going to be mature and we're going to decide what i can do what you can do what we can do together like so to not put the burden on all these people who love and care about both of you so it's like i think that that's like the next movement and like the like awakening or whatever of people right because it's so hard if you love both people it's like you can't it is having to choose so put it back on them and be like deal with your shit you're both getting invited right i was like that's true that is what's really hard when you're in such a close um group and
Starting point is 00:36:29 everyone's friends with each other it's like okay you have to pick and choose and be like okay well this weekend i'm gonna hang out with you and next weekend i we're gonna do something with you and and it's like you have to pick and choose you can't just be like i throw a party and and it's like wait i can only buy one of them which one do you pick right it's impossible to whoever you it's a lose-lose situation and also justice for the busy friends like i am one of those people like you kelty when she's no she's married for sure like i'm like if something happens i'm the first person to drop everything and get on a plane and i'm there and i'm fixing the shit and i'm like your biggest champion but like i'm not a call every day while we're washing the dishes to just
Starting point is 00:37:13 chit chat. Like that actually drains me in such a huge way. Like small, I am like no small talk. Like I'll see you at the wedding. It's like if I'm doing something, I'm like, just, just let me think. Just let me be in my own space. My own brain. Like there's some, we, Becca and I have a mutual friend who like could talk on the phone 12 hours a day. Like just call you and just yapping. And I was like, no, like I just want to be silent. So, okay. Um, well I think you're doing a great job it is very difficult and obviously we're not the dum-dums everything we see on tv is not real i'm sure there's more to every single story than we are possibly seeing on tv but it is a really fun guilty pleasure and a way for me to get out of my own shitty life so i really enjoy you being

That's A-N-G-I.com. you're listening to the lady gang now i know everywhere you're doing press people are going to want to talk about all the drama and like what all those things are happening i actually want to talk to mary my realtor that sold 110 million dollars worth of real estate this year 111 million dollars worth of real estate i want to talk to that mary why can't jack find a house oh well um it depends what the price point is i'm looking at like a uh entry level
Starting point is 00:41:52 house in orange county or la if i must but mostly orange okay well that's that's part of why because a lot of sellers right now there's not as many homes on the market because with higher interest rates even if the sellers want to move up into something else they're like okay well i have like a two or three, uh, percent, um, interest rate right now. And then now they would have to switch if they want to move up. Now they're going to have six something percent interest rate. So they're just waiting until it drops down because they're like, why would I do that? It's not worth it. And, um, so people aren't putting as many homes on the market. And now that your husband is project managing, like I was so happy to see him on the show and his tight t-shirt,
Starting point is 00:42:39 like you're doing the lord's work by letting us have him as like part of our fantasy as well um okay what you're lucky he had his shirt on because he never like anybody that comes to our house i'm like baby like he never has a shirt on and sometimes you come home from work just take his pants off and just have his like boxers on and in front of people like i'll get hair and makeup done and my nail done and he just strips down right in front of people and i'm like what are you doing oh my god it's just it's just like sometimes it's not a big deal it's my house And I'm like, Oh my God, he hates wearing clothes. So you're lucky. Well, not lucky. No, we're not lucky. We're not lucky. I would actually prefer, I'll take swing,
Starting point is 00:43:19 swim trunk, uh, season seven. Okay. Yeah. Um, okay. So when I bought my last house, I got absolutely because when I was looking at the house and we did our inspection and I feel like inspectors are terrible and I was like, everything looks good. And then I remember the seller saying something to me like, Oh, I just wish I would have replaced the windows before the house. And I was like, Oh yeah. But like, I was looking and I'm looking at the windows and they're fine. Bum, bum, bum. They were not fine. They were wood and they freshly painted the entire house before they put it on the market. So you could not see the termite holes and the rust and the like, and you didn't have a termite inspection. I mean, I think we did, but I like, again, I've
Starting point is 00:44:02 had all my houses inspected and there's always something i had my house my last house before this house inspected and then like two years later we're filming lady gang tv and we're like wait what does this go and we pulled up the vent for the floor and it just went to the mud it wasn't connected to like any ducks or anything like the air conditioning at all it was just mud can we go back you can get a specific termite inspector yeah yeah you usually do oh but anyway from the regular guy what do you what do you look for when like i'm going i'm jack vanek i'm gonna buy a house i've fallen in love with this house what are like the three things that people fool you with when they're trying to sell their house and it's shitty and they fool you with like
Starting point is 00:44:40 they painted the windows and you didn't know it was old wood uh well i think again inspections are everything you have to check um the plumbing electrical and uh and what else because sometimes they'll replace those they can do a facelift on it where it looks like brand new but you can't see in the walls so you have to make sure whatever it's the stuff that you can't see that you need to worry about um i i would say plumbing and electrical is the biggest ones um sewer can be part is part of that too because if that backs up or it explodes i mean you are i mean it costs quite a bit of money um plumbing they can look under the sink and it's like oh it's new copper like like you've got like everything new go under the house or start looking into the walls and that
Starting point is 00:45:34 can be super old and if a pipe busts then you're screwed um and then electrical as well you can't see most of that and that's a fire hazard um it can cause a lot of problems and it's very expensive to do to replace because you have to start busting out all your walls and and doing stuff if something serious goes bad no thanks jack are you sad are you okay i've come to accept it it's fine i i would say but you can what i always what i always do i mean sometimes if a house looks pretty good i just have um because inspections are kind of costly and so i always have if we have enough time if we have to shorten the um shorten the inspection contingency period then i'm like suck it up get them all in at once so we know what we're dealing with and if
Starting point is 00:46:20 and have time to get additional um specialists out there if needed but i always recommend doing um the if you have enough time um then just do a general inspection um if there's a pool do the pool inspection because general doesn't cover that um and then and then if there's issues they'll they'll be like okay um this looks new i i recommend having a first come out like it's probably okay but uh we don't cover this so you need you need a specialist on this one um and they'll kind of tell you if you go to the right people you have to have i can give you um good companies by the way if you're looking in la and orange county i've got great inspectors that are very very thorough yeah to know uh yeah um but you but sometimes you want you want to make sure
Starting point is 00:47:08 the roof um like your hvac again a foundation is a big one um is super expensive uh to fix um and yeah just uh you can fireplace pool um there's a lot of different inspectors that you can get um you can have um geological if you're in the hills you need um you need a bunch of different inspectors if you're like in the hills um then if you're where i am i'm into luca lake on the flat lot so it's much easier for me um but you have to make sure structurally that those are found otherwise you don't want it falling off you're screwed you're screwed okay my last question is if you could give us a percentage when you're in this is a back to tv back to your hit television show which is like number one in every country on earth right does that blow your mind like
Starting point is 00:48:02 there's a spanish you there's a french you there's a like whoa you know i you would think I would get used to it and and like I guess just on a normal day like even doing a podcast talking about stuff I'm like it's still mind-blowing to me like people actually care what I'm doing and they've watched me and and like recognized all over the world number one show like and it's almost the longest running show if we get season eight it'll be the longest running show on Netflix really it's doing this yes i mean it is mind-blowing and and it's passed so quickly and and it is just it's insane it's surreal and i don't know if it will ever i don't know if it will ever really sink in i'm very grateful but i still just well i hope you guys are all getting
Starting point is 00:48:53 paid accordingly that's all i have to say you better be getting that cash money or whenever no they probably own them for seven that's why she wants season eight you know how it is back on scripted tv they own you for seven seasons and then your deal can be redone oh but here's the thing i and i told my friends at netflix i'm not gonna give away their secrets but we're always trying to renegotiate but netflix they're tough ones i mean they know what they're doing and they do i just said to my friend at netflix i said just don't screw it up because like it's so good the way it is and you're gonna feel like you need a bunch of new people like they do with the original housewives and stuff where they're like we need fresh people and like no
Starting point is 00:49:35 I want to see Mary I want to see Chrishell I really want to see Heather when she was on she was like I'm not in the next season like no bring her back like I want my people that I fall in love with I enjoy Brie I think your outfits are nice but like it's very hard for me to get to know a new person I just want my comfort blanket of the selling sun even Davina has grown on me to be honest with you I'd rather have Davina hanging out than like this new person like I want my core girls and don't ever forget it when they try to replace you and be like you can be replaced no you can't marry you can't you're an OG you're the most important one I know you're the only one that has file folders and a daily planner that she writes in and we love you for
