Well, what is this?
Welcome to the Lady Gang.
That's amazing. Say that again.
The Lady Gang.
Things are about to change around here.
Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse,
Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek.
Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the Lady Gang.
I am Becca Tobin here with Jack Vanek and Kelty Knight.
Hello.
Hello.
I just ate some Kroger brand Doritos and my life has never been better.
it reminds me of the time that you said that zach had dorito fingers did he when it was on the
podcast when he came on well you were too drunk but um you were saying like zach doesn't like
lingerie zach likes and we're like listing off the things like sweatpants and like dirty old
socks you've been wearing for four days and like dorito fingers like in a sexual way yeah
he does disgusting who doesn't you know i've never tried it maybe i will tonight what like
what do you do with the dorito fingers just rub them all over his body not in a sexual way it's
just like you're eating Doritos on the couch watching
Housewives and he comes over and he's like, ooh, are those Dorito
fingers? I hate a Dorito finger.
It's pretty gross. I don't like a lingering smell
of a Dorito. I know. I'm about to get my nails done. I'm going to
get them short again because now I'm
freaked out about the coronavirus living underneath my
nails. Yeah, I definitely have some, you know?
Yes, I understand. Okay, well
in that case, it's time for
Good Week. Yes, it is. Bad Week.
Oh, no.
I'm going to kick this off. Okay. Alright.
Because I got a really funny
DM
this week okay and uh you know kelty produces a lot of our shows all of them should be exact
and it's like we appreciate her it's like she does a really good job but occasionally we get
a lemon you know when she's just fresh out of ideas so i got a i got a message from one of our
fans uh shellen bc6 becca i'm shelly a longtime fan of the show just wanted to thank you for
saving this week's quickie i got nervous thinking we'd have to go down three sets of great loves
it's interesting but we just don't know who bundy from first grade is you know so it's hard for us
to relate then it's as you read it's as if you read our minds and spared us bring husbands on
more often that was thank you shelby painful episode that we started off in it was one of
our best quickies you ever had at the end of it so sometimes by me disappointing it makes you guys
step up and i'm gonna i'm gonna disappoint you more often great perfect um here's my bad week
so occasionally we'll i'll be on instagram and i'll discover someone and i'll go to their page
and it'll be like oh so and so follows you and that's exciting because it's like oh great i'm
gonna follow them back yeah well this really cute handbag company posted a picture or someone tagged
them in something and i'm like oh i want to follow this handbag company it's like so cute so then i
go over they're not following me i mean why should they i'm a nobody but then i'm like who are they
following they're following jack and they're following kelty but they're not following me
what is it gucci i'm trying to find the no no definitely not gucci it's because because they
know you won't post for free like we will if they send us a bag i'll post anything i mean i have
talked about it a million times that i will post all the time for free shit like i want nothing
more so i only post free shit when i like it right well me too but if you would like this then you
know okay it's called i don't know why i'm giving them a shout out yeah let's hear it because they
don't follow you rude m it's mqo oh new york oh i don't have a bag from them so i don't even know
what that is cute i'm obviously just an influencer they still aren't following me send me a bag
bitches okay that's not a good way to get a bag jack i'm going next okay oh wait they're following
me now oh there you go oh my god this is exciting shout out it's m q o e m m k u o n y um i'm gonna
look them up that's amazing okay i have a good week i got a dm from jessica alba wow what did
jessica alba say jessica alba was it like from her team you know what that's rude and probably
yes of course it was like hey girl which was my first thing that maybe it wasn't her yeah but i'm
taking it as her it came from her official account i got to i got the delight surprise and delight of
opening my instagram account looking at my messages and seeing jessica alba so i clicked on
it hey girl saw you're speaking at create and cultivate um i'm gonna be there too would love
to send you some of my honest products what's the best address yeah that's that's a copy paste yeah
but that's nice but still so nice honestly even if i was on her team like jessica was thinking
And I saw the list of people speaking at Create and Cultivate.
I would be like, skip when I saw me.
You know what I mean?
So the fact that they didn't skip me, I thought was really nice.
I haven't received anything yet, Jess, but I'm waiting.
Jessie?
I think she's lovely.
That's nice.
Good week.
Bad week.
Oh, the reviews of my life.
Oh, no.
Here we go.
Got a message.
Oh, no.
It was a tweet to Entertainment Tonight.
Tonight I had the opportunity to listen to the program Entertainment Tonight
and was appalled by the comments made by talent on your program,
Kelty Knight, when interviewing Harrison Ford.
In the current climate, if those same comments made
about him looking like a biscuit or something to that effect
was made by a man host to a female guest,
it would not be tolerated.
We should be holding women to those same standards.
Okay.
I have mixed feelings about this.
You didn't like it when I called him a snack.
No, I loved it.
Oh.
I loved it so much.
Yeah.
so this kind of bums me out because we should be you're not a threat to him and granted i know it
i know it can go both ways but like this is where it's like when is it when is it too far
yeah i think you should still be able to tell harrison ford that he looks like a snack it was
funny he was cute and he loved it his publicist came after me afterwards and was like i just think
everyone knows in their mind it's the intention behind yeah people i don't know anyway either way
also i would like to be called a snack by any man a snack is a nice like a cute way of saying
you're hot it's a cute yeah it's not like saying like you're a sexy yeah that's gross here's the
thing i have been called like wow you look sexy or you look hot in so many different ways and i
took it as such a compliment and i 100 am so clear on the one time that someone said it to me and it
was because you want to break into my house yes and like you we know a difference yeah he's a
77 year old man he's barely awake during the press junket like i'm just trying to keep him
breathing you know what i mean made him feel really good he loved it he's 77 he looks amazing
he looks so he's so hot in this movie i'm telling you the movie with the dog he like takes his shirt
off and i'm like i am sexually attracted to harrison ford anyway okay that's the i love
harrison ford okay so my good week is i guess one of our lady gangers was looking up googling my
net worth and somebody else took it upon themselves when we google our network to put my net worth in
Do you guys want to guess what it is?
$300 million.
It's got to be like $10 million.
$103 million.
Very specific.
It's $103 million, according to Wikipedia, Forbes, IMDb, and various other online resources.
Does it say how they got to that number?
No.
She earned the money being a professional entrepreneur.
$103 million could not be the biggest lie ever.
Do you even have a million dollars?
No.
That's amazing.
So they're off.
Do you have any $10?
Barely.
You're like, I have between $10 and $1 million available.
It would be one thing if it was $100 million, but $103 is very, very distinct.
I would just pretend that that's true.
I know, and just start buying things like I have $100 million.
If you had $103 million, you would be wearing a janky Backstreet Boys old shirt that only has four Backstreet Boys on them, and then knock off Yeezys.
I know, I bought this.
No, she probably would be in the same outfit, but it would be real Yeezys.
It would be real Yeezys.
These are actually Adidas.
It would be real Yeezys, and then I'd be able to afford the Backstreet Boys shirt with five people on it, because this one was cheap.
because kevin isn't on it but whatever it should be yeah whatever okay so my bad week is i was
doing some shopping today not today yesterday and i was going into a store that i love shopping in
but it's one of those stores that the employees bug you when you shop the worst thing in the
world so i prepared myself i put in my airpods because i'm like if i have airpods in they're
not gonna bug me it needs to be a full phone to the ear it does because i get into the store
the lady greets me and i'm like and i waved her smile but it's obviously i'm listening to something
and she proceeds to stop me eight different times i don't like her to tell me about the different
colors the different sizes and every time i'm like i'm fine like i know what i've shopped here
before like i know what store are you in the store shopping at i can't i can't because i actually
love them and well tell them you don't you're not saying who it was it's feedback it was gina
no it's good it's positive feedback it is but it's a lot of these stores that are a little
bit more expensive that they want people to like yeah commission commission and like bug the shit
out of you but if anybody owns a boutique out there just don't do it people like to just shop
on their own yeah and i'll ask you if i need my size bitch yeah i think the nice thing to do is
just be like i'm right i my name is becca if you need anything yes tell me yeah like and i've done
it but now i'm gonna go on instagram behind the counter so feel free to to steal whatever you
want yeah thank you perfect honestly that's what i'm looking for ideal um we have an ideal guest
today from the great northern land of canada it's the one and only if you're not in it
for love clap clap clap if you're not willing to give it all you got if you're not in it for love
if you're not in it for life i'm out of here we are she's in here she's here guys
now back to the lady gang come on over because life's about to get good our guest today is a
global icon she's so famous that not only is she in the one name club think beyonce oprah share
but if you sing a simple seven note hook with no lyrics let's go girl let's go you know exactly
who we're talking about a trailblazer in the fashion industry a lover of crop sweater and
bell-bottom pants that are jack vanek never takes off and if you're not in it for epic ballads head
to toad leopard unapologetic women power at its finest that we are out of here from this moment
on you will be graced with the best-selling female country music artist in history and if that
doesn't impress you much then let me remind you she's the only female artist in history to have
three consecutive albums certified diamond multi-hyphenate what made you say that oh it's
her career on tv movies commercials and as the country queen of sin city with her las vegas
residency but right now she's focused on acting and she's gonna get you good starring with kj
appa in the heart-wrenching new movie i still believe please welcome to the lady gang shania
up in twang are you alive after that intro do you whiplash all your accomplishments i don't think i
can fit in this room anymore my ego's so big right now that's what she's the best at no but it was
there was so much more i couldn't even put it on the page condensed that is so awesome thank you
you make me feel so good so listen we saw the movie you're lovely um but for everyone who is
going to go see it in theaters march 13th and is only seeing the trailer can you give us the brief
synopsis this is the ultimate um crying movie no it's a movie of no this is like ultimate
unconditional love um and music of course ties it all together which is a you know i can relate to
yeah i mean listen if you want to get into a mood or you want to express how you're feeling
it's easier to do it with music right yeah you want to tell someone you love them you want to
get romantic you put on romantic music you want to you know vent and uh get angry then you put
on something heavy metal heavy metal so i think music is always our um the ideal reflection of
our mood and our spirit and our emotions and of course in this movie the fact that jeremy is a
music artist he says everything you know that their communication i think that when he's on
stage and he's singing to her that is to me the ultimate it says everything encapsulates everything
encapsulates everything you've done everything i know this isn't your exactly first acting role
and i'm sure you've gotten thrown stuff every day like hey we want shania to be in this why was this
the one that you wanted to do and was a lot of it because of the music i was just too busy before
oh i guess i mean i think i've always found the idea of acting um something that i would have
like to have done much earlier on and i was um sent scripts and stuff like that but i was just
so busy wearing so many hats like literally hats top hats literally top fancy chic hats
i've just been really busy i'm very hands-on so uh no time to you know dive into that and then
by surprise after coming uh back to being able to sing again after the lyme disease like
uh dysfunctioned my voice then i'm like you know and and now my son is older i've got more time
and i'm still wearing all these hats but i'm being able i'm able to balance things better
and i'm not also busy and distracted by recovering my voice and all the dedication that that took it
took a lot of time and commitment so what a horrible i'm fear yeah horrible horrible thing
to go through, but you're good, right? Okay. Well, I'm different. Yeah. I'm, I'm actually
great. Great's a better word. I feel really great. I feel, uh, wonderful that I made it
through to the other side of a very difficult journey and recovery. And it was way worse
than I thought it would be like at the actual journey once I started it. Um, but yeah, no,
now i'm like i actually love my new voice i'm not it is different it's not what it was i wouldn't
be able to sing uh what i used to sing the way i used to sing it i have to navigate differently
but i mean come on singing there's a lot of technical elements to singing and whatever
kind of singer you are you've got to have some knowledge and savvy about how to uh how to use
your voice. And I just had to learn a different way of doing that. And plus my surgery was
very, um, I basically have, uh, two Gore-Tex, uh, crutches on either side of my larynx.
Wow. Yeah. Permanently. Wow. Apparently they'll be in there. They'll be in there long after,
after I'm, after I've turned to dust. That and the jewelry. That's it. That's it. The
diamonds darling they're permanent um you're working with teen heartthrob who does not have
red hair in this movie kj appa and you're his mama um have you noticed the fans going nutso
because oh yeah people love oh my gosh he's like do they come for you on instagram no but he's so
lovable yeah he's he's lovely he's lovable he's such a sweet person i mean he's super talented
we know that we don't want to take that for granted because you know he's even very musically
talented not just as an actor um and he's sweet and genuine and authentic so what's not to love
about him and of course he's attractive so yeah he's a little babe that helps he's a little baby
yeah he's got a great smile and i'm like oh my god you're so cute i feel old anyway i could be
your mom yeah um now you have a son of your own yeah so what kind of mama are you because in the
movie you're sort of i'm worried for you but i'm going to be supportive and so like are you
are you a hard mom i'm different than terry camp yeah i would have i i mean how do i know any of us
know how we would be in a situation like that because it's um i mean it's not every day that
you come across this type of challenge and as a parent um you want to support your child i would
want to of course i would be there to support him but maybe i would want to he's not getting
grandma's ring is what you're saying i i just don't think i would be able to cope with my worry
as well as terry did as well right as the character did and i need you know so i stepped
into this very a more not passive but just more of the quiet supporter there's no way i would be
quiet like that yeah i'd be like anyway i won't go into it but we can imagine i would be just more
outwardly stressed about it and i i mean i would be more panicky about it for my son and trying to
protect him and um save him and spare him from what was going to happen this inevitable heartbreak
um all right so speaking of heartbreak we have a segment on our show called hollywood heartbreak
so and then ish moment so ish moment is the moment where you were like i am shania freaking twain
and i'm banging on a drum in a crop top and y'all come after me and then hollywood heartbreak is the
time that it was the worst like your biggest heartbreak the song you didn't get the time you
lost something the you know the worst time in hollywood what do you want to do first
loaded question let's start with the ish moment yeah the ish when you felt like the shit like
really when like shit ish in a good way like i'm the shit the shit
like see that was a very dyslexic moment well i mean welcome to our life kind of are it's like
you feel like the shit and when you felt like shit yeah like you you said it one way and i
totally read it the other way around right that was a very abstract perception there on my part
sorry ours too so it's like when you maybe the first time like yeah that you finally felt i felt
really like i'm it yeah right now yes like good pinch me moment pinch me moment okay um
i know i don't want to like i it seems weird that i should have to think so hard about this but
I guess the Superbowl, 2003, I think.
And why I was, I think that was just a moment when I'm like, Whoa, this is way bigger than
I thought.
Yeah.
This is like really, cause everybody around me was, you know, saying, okay, should I like,
this is, they were stressing me out about it.
I was fine.
I was just ready to go up there and do what I always do and get on stage.
but they're like no no i don't think you understand i don't think they they thought
i was taking it seriously enough because i wasn't stressing right right and so they were just saying
like no no like this is epic you've got to be epic everything no pressure the pressure was so
on and it's a very like quick it's very very intense yeah uh quick turnover timing getting
out there on the field and and and then um that's the day that i met um gwen stefani
we're backstage and she says uh or side stage and we're in the middle of a football field and she
says oh you know i i want to i want to get married someday and have kids and um you know i don't know
how you do it all and i my son was only two and a half at this point and i was already into like
this hot outfit i was going to be wearing this epic uh you know sexy mama powerful i'm in charge
yes uh wardrobe and get out there and act like i knew what i was doing and everything like that
under all the stress and she made me feel she sort of just highlighted that how big it really
was in that moment and how powerful it was for me as a woman that was was doing it all i'm like
wow shit i really am doing it all it just took the super bowl to make you realize yeah like five
seconds before you go on stage like i'm imagining i'm managing this stress that everybody's like
yeah laying on hitting me with i would have been fine otherwise if you guys wanted to
so i'm managing all that stress and that and i'm you know dealing with the fashion and the whole
um which i took very seriously was it was a very important um look for me and you know very
involved with that being a mom you know my son was with me that day and come on to work babe
we're going to the super bowl yeah do you have a moment i mean obviously your throat struggles
but do you have a moment where you were supposed to get into the bar and you were shenai twain
they turned you away or like a the moment that your career really lost something in your career
that you really wanted or an opportunity yeah that someone else got you know yeah something
that's really shitty um there that there's you know there's been a few little shitty things
but um i think that just i was asked to speak at a university on songwriting cool and i
i turned it down because i felt so insecure oh my gosh yeah i'm thinking a university
i mean i'm not i'm not formally educated i don't have college i don't have university
um i've never even been to a performing arts school so how am i supposed i felt intimidated by
by the whole um thought of it and was overwhelmed and so i i shied away from it out of
insecurity a feeling of insecurity and i regret that because i realize now that
no of course i could have done that this is something i do know about yeah i'm very educated
in songwriting and this is what i'm my profession is and i it was a weird uh i was sad to have
turned it down and i now just say okay i'm not shying away from stuff anymore out of any
insecurity so um it's been it was a good um corner to turn and it was a low moment because
Because I'm thinking, I was like, dummy.
Yeah.
That was the dummy.
Right.
Not doing it.
Well, a lot of the girls that listen to the podcast, I think that we all kind of talk
about as we get into our lives and our careers, we wish that we'd have the confidence that
we do now when we were younger and the opportunities were there.
So it's like, what got you to the place in your life just as a woman where you had the
confidence to accept those accolades and take your place and take up space and like acknowledge
that you're a badass. For me personally, I mean, I, I'm sure it's very different for everybody,
but I think that I, I just started with time, um, stepping out of battles that I couldn't win.
I mean, you know, aging is a battle you can't win. Yeah. Um, well, I think you might be winning.
yeah i actually think if there was a super bowl you're probably winning that game yes but it is
reality it's just yeah well and to keep focusing on that when it's just like you can't change
anything well you can change something but like right so that battle and the focus and energy it
takes is taking up too much space yeah in my life in my emotion my emotional state my my mental state
I want, I've got songs to write. I'm not going to sit around. I'd rather dream about, uh, songs or dream about, uh, other things I want to do in my life. And I want to, I want to just daydream about, I want to fantasize and, um, enjoy what I do have and like, just forget about the stuff I can't change or that I can't have.
so i think it's a waste of time and energy worrying about um uh slow you know trying to
slow my aging process down it's just i'm just going to be healthy and i'm so much more accepting
now um of the way i look you know with and without clothes you know for example and
um so a turning point or a way that i would say a state of mind that helps me uh
in that regard is just saying, okay, identify what it is that I can change and what it is I
cannot change and, um, reduce the, uh, the overload. Yeah. And I'm sure being like,
you're a huge sex icon when always, but, and having everybody give their unsolicited opinions
to probably what you're wearing or your physical appearance or whatever, that's probably even
harder to, it's hard enough for us ladies, normal ladies that don't have a peanut gallery that
don't, that aren't being seen by millions of people every day to be okay with our bodies and
our body image and stuff like that. It's about letting go. I think that once you dive in,
that's it. Yeah. Yeah. Don't paint over it anymore. Just, you know, it's like, okay,
I decided to wear that. It didn't work out or somebody else didn't like it. But there's a
reason why I wore that in that moment, or there's a reason why, you know, and so you commit and you
love that what you love that what you did in that moment for yourself and if it didn't
doesn't work out uh you know to from somebody else's perspective um i don't know you you learn
from it i guess if you even agree or care and then i mean i'm not saying being different i think it's
really good to be i i i do aim to please i i write songs that i want to affect people with
in a positive way i want to i want to use music to connect so of course i want i want to know
what people are thinking and how they're feeling it's not that i don't care what they think
uh but i can't um apologize or i won't apologize for whatever it was i was thinking in that moment
i'm just you know and i you have the right to say well you know what i'm
okay you know i felt that way then and i feel differently now right
you're listening to the lady gang fashion has been so hand in hand with what you've done
throughout all of these years we were looking we're just googling you we have googled you for
hours today well we're deciding what we're going to wear to your residency yes we're all going to
be a different shania i'm leopard shania because i love the crop top bell bottom situation i already
own a top hat for halloween costume for abraham lincoln so i'm gonna use that it's a common
halloween costume i'm gonna be i'm gonna be i'm gonna be um i'm gonna be top not shania i mean
top hat shania i'm denim on denim i thought you were gonna say topless shania yeah i mean
after a few drinks we're all gonna be topless yeah so it's fine yes are you having the time
of your life in vegas i am i really love it there i love the um the performance community there yeah
it's cool so if you're visiting there as a um a tourist or just a party person or you're there
to celebrate it's one city yeah which is of course really fun and and amazing there's not
i would say like there was a time when three days in vegas was enough it is not enough
anymore anymore there's too much to do two days is too much no no no no it's not it's not listen
there's games to go to there's art galleries there's incredible restaurants there's golf
shows shows shows everywhere and like amazing ones and everything at a super high standard
and i didn't even mention shopping yeah oh yeah the shopping is epic dangerous so three days
forget it you'd leave um you wouldn't be able to do everything but as a performer
well we're coming it's a dream and we are so excited oh my gosh now i do want to ask you
about this past award season because there's a major one for you and brad pitt didn't impress
you much when brad pitt won his oscar absolutely i was very happy for him and finally shania's
impressed i feel i kind of feel like he's been haunted by this um song yeah yeah it's this you
know he's so he should be so lucky he should be so lucky to impress the queen also somebody's
gonna knock him down you know exactly and it can only be you i'm just even in the time i mean i i
don't really first of all i don't it's amazing that the whole thing is still oh yeah cycling
i'm still like it's still a thing you're hot but you're not shania hot you're not hot i mean i
guess we've both we're just both still around and so the subject is there and it's a lot of fun and
it's fun to talk about you ever connected i've never met him you never get him we'll bring him
to the show with us we'll just call him a friend bratty boy does brad sing i don't think so i
wouldn't be surprised if he did yeah he probably is good at everything yeah i can't believe they
didn't like put you together for some charade for like mtv back in the day like you and brad i know
yeah charade would be fun i mean what is your wouldn't do a charade with brad pitt what does
your son think about having like this icon of like feminine sexuality like his friends must
kind of freak out a little bit over you because you're hot but like for him does he does he like
get embarrassed or does he single celebrate it he's single uh-huh oh boy oh good does he need
to know right are you offering yourself i'm already married but i have like you know we
have like a million fans i probably want to set up but i'm just well he's he is very um supportive
of what i do and for example um he comes to me one day probably about three years ago maybe
something like that it's his mom don't you have grammys and i said yeah i do and he goes well
where are they i've never seen your grammys you're a liar i'm not and so i said well they're
downstairs in the in the you know i've got a room and i just store memorabilia stored well he says
i want to see them so i take him down there and we see the grammys and he's like what you got you
got to put some out yeah you gotta put some up on the shelf yeah so we've got one up uh on the
shelf in the library oh my god but it took him it's not that i don't appreciate the awards or
I don't think awards were anything like that, but it's just that, I don't know, I guess
it just took his sense of appreciation, and he was proud, and I think he really wants
me to also maybe enjoy more of my accomplishments, and it was cute.
I really think it was.
That's so sweet.
Yeah, if not for him, they'd just still be down there.
They'd still be in the basement.
That's so crazy to me.
well you know she has an emmy and it goes it's in my bag travels with it it's literally in my purse
but she would if she could i would i'd put it on a chain around my neck it's my most proud
we're the opposite yeah she's the nice canadian and i'm the asshole canadian yeah there's got to
be one of these that's how it works um i thought it was really cool that halsey kind of put the
video how cool is that but um because i can't keep you any longer i do want to skip over that
question yay we're so happy for halsey that she got to rip you off in a good way but i want to
ask you this for all of our ladies they're all different ages but what is something that you
wish someone had shooken you in your 30s and told you about life take us to church whether it's like
something about motherhood or just life in general or career or people think yeah anything
okay so the 30s just getting but getting to that i'll try to be really quick about it but
i only actually made it when i was 30 so i was older no no i was 30 when i had my first hit
oh my gosh so um that is interesting so my 30s were so intense yeah well then maybe what about
your just like well yeah in my 20s yeah i wanted to quit singing i wanted to quit music yeah
um i'm probably like too serious for this conversation not at all it's like no no this
is what our yeah we want yeah but it's like it might so my parents died when i was um 21 and i
um i wanted to quit music and i really i'm like okay there's more important things to do in life
all my other friends are in college university i'm the the one that doesn't have a real job
um my i was really sort of doing a lot of it for my mom because it was her dream
for me to make it someday and there was so much sacrifice through my childhood for me to sing and
and my own sacrifice i'm like well i just gotta do it you know i almost felt obligated to do it
even though i was passionate about music and it would always have been um something that i did
but for myself for sure not as a career and so when my parents died i'm like
i'm gonna just i gotta get a real life and i don't have any support now like not support
but i mean we were always we didn't have anything anyway but now i've got no foundation
i've got no parents i've got to be responsible for my the younger kids uh i gotta get real now
yeah yeah i gotta quit playing around and i haven't made it yet you know i'm already in my
20s right i'm thinking and i got a so i was gonna quit music and a friend of mine said uh she
literally just said no i won't let you quit just come with me one time to go see something that i
think uh you'll be able to make a a good check at and you'll still be able to sing and it was just a
little uh stage show but it got me into high heels like i was very boyish before this so i would be
on stage in bare feet and um you know really sort of more folky rocky country girl and so this show
was a really important transition for me and if it wasn't for that i guess shake up of no no no
you are destined to do music and you i i won't let you quit and um i never looked back really
really like it happened quite fast yes my dear friend oh my gosh that is so amazing she's a dear
