Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's your Lady Gang, Jack Vanek, Kelty Knight, and Becca Tobin. Thank you so much for subscribing on iTunes, and thanks for supporting the great sponsors who make it possible for us to have this much fun with you every single week for free. Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Things are about to change around here. Each week, we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the Lady Gang. I'm Becca Tobin here with Kelty Knight and Jack Vanek, and I just had a total aha moment. What? So, it's official.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Every time I overdo it with sugar, I feel nauseous afterwards. Are you talking about the Tim Tams? I just had two Tim Tams, and I feel like I could throw up. Only one Tim Tam at a time. Two was too many. Two too many. Shit. Two Tim Tams.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Like, I feel car sick. You can have a Tim or a Tam, but you can't have a Tim Tam. You can't have a Tim Tam. Eat responsibly, people. Damn it. They're so good, though. You want another one. Can I go get a La Croix?
Starting point is 00:01:05 I need a La Croix, too. We'll do that. Hold on. We're going to take a break. Oh, God. One second. Okay. Well, I'll start with my Good Week.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Wait. And now it's time for... Good Week. Yes, it is. Bad Week. Oh, no. So, okay. My Good Week is amazing.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Ooh. So, as you know, I'm anal retentive. Oh, are you? And I travel... Never noticed, Kelty. I travel with my own mug, like my own travel mug, and it's black just like my backpack, and they go together. And so, like, I have a specific mug that goes with me on my travels to airports because a lot of times I go into the lounge and, like, it's so expensive to get a tea or something at the airport because they're like, oh, it's $5. And you're like, all I wanted was some hot water.
Starting point is 00:01:46 This is some bullshit. Right. So I'll go and I'll find, like, I'll be like, can I have some hot water? Whatever. Anyway, I ran out of tea. So I went to Starbucks and I was like, hey, can I get a hot tea in this container? And you get 10 cents off if you bring your own container, whatever. Saving the world.
Starting point is 00:02:05 And the guy is like, yeah, no problem, no problem. And then he filled up my tea mug and then he gave it to me and I was like looking at him like, do I need to pay for this? And then he like I think thought that like if you bring your own mug, the tea is free. So I didn't pay for it. I got a free tea at Starbucks. I walked away. That's like a five cent value. I didn't correct him.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I should have said, you need to charge me for this. But I was just like, see you later, sucka. Is this like chill Kelty? Bad Kelty. Zen Kelty is like, free stuff, I'm in. I don't care about the rules. Okay. Do you feel bad because of it?
Starting point is 00:02:41 Do you think about it like every second? No, I feel awesome. I got a free tea. It was delicious. I feel like that it might like weigh on your conscience. I feel like it's a pretty hypocritical feeling for you though. It is. Because if that were someone in front of you and you witnessed that, you would be peering into them.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Yeah. No, it's true. You're a hypocrite. Yeah. Cool. Okay. Bad week. So I'm walking Callie up in the hills where we live.
Starting point is 00:03:05 And at dusk, it's like dog walking central up there, you know? And there's some coyotes every once in a while. So I'm walking the dog. She's on a leash, obviously. Follow the rules. And then there's this other dog not on leash and an owner. And the owner turns around. She's like, hey, guys, just be careful.
Starting point is 00:03:20 there's two baby coyotes around here and callie's a street dog so she's like coyotes my friends so i'm like okay we got to watch out for them so we start chatting with everyone we're like how big were they blah blah and then some other dog people come up the backside and they have three dogs all on leashes and the dog that was with this woman off leash runs to like sniff their dogs and the guy holding those dogs is like yo lady can you get your dog on the leash and then she's like starts walking over like oh sorry sorry and he's like can you just be a responsible dog owner and she was like hey chill out man i was just telling them about the coyotes and she and then they got in a major dog person fight now i always assume that all dog people got along because i was at the
Starting point is 00:04:04 dog park and this pitbull was like basically humping poor callie into like womanhood even though she's already a teen mom and like drilling on her head and even though i was so pissed and i was like control your dog i was still like oh you're so cute you just want attention like being nice to the dog that was like aggressive no it was like a full-out dog war and chris and i were walking and we just had to like we both hate confrontation at all costs so we're like bye and we just start like running away with our dog that's it i love seeing dog drama at the dog park because you know i go regularly because it's like my my hobby when you're unemployed you have so many things to do it's real it is real it's there's a lot of dog park drama that's not that
Starting point is 00:04:45 has nothing to do with my good week bad week here's my should i do bad week first i don't know who knows here's my good week so i only listen to a few podcasts yeah just because i'm exclusive i'm unemployed and i'm not in my car all that much like doing a commute or anything so my life's not that intense so i listen to like dac shepherd armchair expert i listen to anna ferris unqualified and i've started listening to um michael rosenbaum inside of you he's like part of the on a fair risk unqualified network he's an actor blah blah i thought he would be like a good soulmate for jack oh this is when you're trying to hook me up yeah yeah yeah so i when i was on instagram and on the search page was a picture of him and i was like oh i've never like gone over and seen him
Starting point is 00:05:34 like on instagram let me see what he's all about yeah so i look at his insta and it says follow back oh he follows me on instagram so i'm really excited because i think that means we can get him in here yeah and then we can get them married oh god yes right i love this so that was my good week is he cute yeah he's cute all right cute he's as far as i know like i'm i'm follow the instagrams he's insta single he's not showing it no and on his podcast he talks about being single but ready but he's ready for a relationship and i just sort of feel like this could be your guy all right okay i'm gonna burp hold on i think i'm done la croix burp that's not like i threw up in my mouth because i kind of just did here's my bad week um i'm addicted
Starting point is 00:06:22 to this very specific salad from this one place but there's not one near my house and i continue to get it on Postmates and it cost me like $40 every freaking time I get it and I'm now like day 8 in a row of getting this salad for $40 and I feel ashamed and embarrassed and I also don't even deserve it because like I just mentioned, I'm unemployed.
Starting point is 00:06:44 What is the salad? I can't say. Why? I just can't. Okay, but what's in it? It's a very simple salad. It's the salad dressing but it's the salad dressing. Can you go buy the salad dressing from the salad place or go ask for a lot? I'll say it. It's sweet green.
Starting point is 00:06:59 okay oh i love sweet it's the guacamole greens salad and i just it i i can't recreate that it's amazing sweet greens is too good but like i have really struck out with them every time i've tried a salad and i finally found the salad so now just 40 bucks in every time i can't believe people listen to this podcast like it is you just talked about a dog fight i know but amongst owners so far you're not interested our podcast myself included i feel like there's a lot of women out there who feel postmates shame just like i do okay i feel ashamed this is why i don't listen to our podcast because you hear it in real time oh yeah because i experienced it okay okay my good week is i was out on a date with a guy that i got hooked up with through the lady gang facebook
Starting point is 00:07:52 group because i take everybody's like danger recommendations very seriously and i've met most of these guys that people have hooked me up with wow and the date was fine he was okay he's not my guy it's fine but we're on the date i had to go to the bathroom so i get up and i go to the restroom and there's this guy that was they're like a all gender bathroom whatever but there's only one stall and the guy is waiting behind me and then he tries to start like chatting me up and we talk a little bit i go to the bathroom come back out of the bathroom and he's still waiting there and he goes i just you're so beautiful and like i can i get your number and take you out sometime and i was like whoa this is ballsy because you see me on a date right now
Starting point is 00:08:34 so i like turn the corner and i'm like we need to make this fast i'm gonna give you my number but i'm on a date and he can't see me doing this you did it i did it did you hear from him yeah but i never went out with him yet it was i mean it was recent i haven't gone out with him yet but he was cute i mean that's a great that's smart well i love a man that will ask a woman out right person with your voice not with a text or an emoji or a dick pic like i like it no it was a good start it was very ballsy and i really appreciate the effort because that takes i mean you don't know if we're in a relationship or not that's so it's kind of shitty if he thinks you are yeah it's a fine line of like like really commendable and shitty yeah
Starting point is 00:09:16 although you probably didn't have like smoldering chemistry with your date so he probably was i mean yeah it was a first date i feel like you can always kind of sense a first date i my least favorite thing in the whole world is watching next to no watching a first internet date like from like a dating app what happened i keep throwing up in my no LaCroix and the Tim Tam combo okay I was next to a first date like app date yeah on Sunday and it was it's painful and also I just had this moment where I know what happened I don't know what happened but I feel like I know what happened and I just want to tell everybody male and female the photos you choose do not make it the best photo you've ever taken in your life
Starting point is 00:10:04 This is the problem with dating apps now is because everybody fucks with their photos and there's no way anybody looks like their photos ever. So it's like, why do you want to be the person that people meet and think, what a bummer? Like, just be, pick a photo where you're a solid five for yourself. It's better to look better in person than in pictures. It's true. You want them to be like, ooh. But these people next to me, it was very clear that somebody really. Was a liar.
Starting point is 00:10:30 A liar. Like a Facetune magician. and you could see the disappointment and it was just so upsetting it is hard it's upsetting online dating stop doing it i know okay bad week while i was on this date there was a couple next to me having it was a brunch date they're having brunch and they dine and dashed yeah people still do that's what i said i'm like on purpose yes well sometimes i like get up from a table we have not paid no they like just took off before the bill came and their bill then the waitress came over and was like hey did you see where those people went because they haven't paid
Starting point is 00:11:11 yet and their bill was like 200 bucks where were they and they were adults we were at neighbor in venice which is like people would an expensive restaurant god wait yeah but do you think they did it like did you hear them talking about it no i mean i wasn't paying attention to them because i had no reason to what they look like they were just like in their mid-30s like us it it was insane that an adult couple maybe they would dine and dash i don't know i don't like it i don't like it either maybe they didn't mean to i haven't seen somebody dine and dash since i was 15 years old and it was me so you did once terrible one because it was like the cool thing to do in high school i fell into peer pressure i guess so and so same with that jacket okay
Starting point is 00:11:51 when we come back tanya radical is here just tanya rad it's tanya radia you're listening to the lady gang our guest today is the definition of yeah it took like 10 years to become an overnight sensation she's been working with ryan seacrest for the past eight years and for the past 2.5 she's been one of his co-hosts getting up at god knows when how early to be on the radio she's also an integral part of the lady gang social media history and she's also a podcaster appearing on scrubbing in with becca tilly and she constantly gets set up by ryan seacrest the most popular man in hollywood so if she can't make it work everyone else who's single is screwed yay her please welcome to the lady gang tanya rad
Starting point is 00:12:45 welcome what an intro by the way when jack was like texting me yesterday she's like so like what you know what and i was like i only have one job and i felt like so basic i was like so what should we do in your intro you're like i've been working there for eight years i don't know what else to tell you our podcast is officially called scrubbing in with becca tilly and tanya ratna good job thank you no well because you've been yeah you're a guest on every episode yeah i started like to become like i was there every single week and then she's like you're an official closed i was like okay oh as she should good to know okay excellent you're gonna need to update your insta bio but okay girl oh is that her insta bio who's no no i don't have anything on my work
Starting point is 00:13:26 you're very difficult to google i'm gonna let you know really as a hollywood thirst machine you gotta get it together because even your website i was like i know this i've seen this girl running around the innards of arenas with like harry styles like we need i need more from you i need a wikipedia page i need a fan page i mean there's just a lot like i don't want to contact you by just like the contact form i need like an assistant email even if it's fake like i need all of that i know it's true i actually feel like i need you in my life because i'm very not like you're jack yeah she's i feel like she's a mixture of both of us she wakes up way too early to be me yeah i'm very type a but i'm also like very um like i don't have anything in my bio about
Starting point is 00:14:15 like it's not it's just like my motto it's like smile always be happy i believe in others like i don't have like where i work because i'm not i'm always like i'm not defined by like what i do does that make sense what's that like nice yeah okay so let's talk about the the why you are an integral part of the lady gang social media history jack you want to tell a story okay Was it you who found it? Are you the founder? A fan sent it to Jack. So there was this picture that I was sent by a fan, and they're like...
Starting point is 00:14:44 Sorry, can I interrupt? I'm so sorry. What? I need to mention that we have a special guest in the studio today. Sammy's here. I'm here. Sammy. No, Callie's always here, but Sammy's here.
Starting point is 00:14:53 She's sitting on the floor. She's watching Callie, because Callie is... Has been cray-cray today. She knows I'm going out of town for a week tomorrow, and she's like... Oh, she knows you're leaving. ...stressed. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Back to the story. Sorry. Sammy, we're glad you're here. say hi to the lady gang say hi lady gang okay okay she was supposed to be a guest earlier but she has a job i had to work wow it really how much we need when she works you have a job other than the free job you do for lady being our assistant for free she loves working okay anyways so i was tagged in a photo by a fan of ours and they're like oh my god i came across this photo on instagram and it's the bizarro version of the lady gang and it really is it's a picture of
Starting point is 00:15:35 tanya yeah sabrina carpenter yes and ryan sister sister and it looks like us but like it's like in a bizarro world where we had a cast of people playing us it was so so i posted it and i'm getting all these like messages of people being like this is the lady gang and i was like what it's the lady and so i like go to the page i go to like your instagrams i was like wait this actually this photo really weird it's so weird three of them so then that's how i found your podcast i started listening that way and i've been listening ever since and that was like what like a year ago it was at least over a year ago yeah and i don't i don't miss a podcast like i'm like a listener yeah it was a it was a while it was like in the beginning i remember we were at
Starting point is 00:16:16 podcast one studios when i found it so it had to have been like a year and a half two years ago Isn't that funny? And now, like, in seeing you in person, I still do think you guys look so much alike. Because we have that round face. I wish you didn't have your hair up today. It's your cheekbones. It's, like, where your eyes are set. But you look like Sabrina Carpenter, too.
Starting point is 00:16:33 That I know, too. Like, it's so weird. And she's so young. She's 17, literally. She's so 18 years old. I know. It's so crazy. I look so much like her.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Were you happy or, I mean, you don't have to tell us, but were you happy or sad to be the Jack? So happy. I love Jack. and she's gonna crop top yeah of course i felt like i had to she also brought us gifts which no one ever does no no she brought us crop tops with our names on them and then she brought kelty a cute little hat and i'm gonna wear it non-stop because i love myself can we tell how happy i am that you brought her that hat what kind of how can i tell you a little story
Starting point is 00:17:13 okay we were in new york and we just had like a like a very surreal experience with the lady gang we had like a live event and we had like an interview with forbes and we spoke at her conference so it was just like we felt for the first time in our whole lives just so legit kelty and i are getting ready to leave for our very late night red eye from to come back to la yep so we're putting on like our cozy clothes whatever and i look over at her she's in a full-blown like entertainment tonight branded dad baseball cap and not only does it say et on the front it says entertainment along the back and i was like kelty we just had like the most awesome like boss lady weekend can you please not travel with me at the airport right now
Starting point is 00:18:04 wait what was the hat that you got or was it a yellow it's so cute that's so cute yellow shirt it's right there that's her color it's so cute oh that's cute yeah thank god yeah you need to replace that god i know that's so that's so healthy though it was very here's the truth i gotta be honest with you i was stoked when i got that hat because i've never had any swag you were a rockette all you guys had was rockette gear i never had any television swag oh television swag so you wear it with pride you're you're proud of where you work it's like i want people okay here's why becca's making fun of me because she knows why i wear it and it's like half don't recognize me and half et is that the girl from et like you know what i mean like i'm that thirsty
Starting point is 00:18:48 she's branding herself basically i want people to be like oh who's that and they're like that's the girl from et because i'm wearing it so i'm kind of like that but like not not in that sense Like, I post thirst traps, but, like, for guys. Like, you mentioned, like, I'm so single that I'm constantly. Yeah, so you're doing, like, thirst traps in your way, and I do them for Jen. Wait, how do you do a thirst trap? Yeah, I want to hear about one of your thirst traps. Because I know how I do a thirst trap.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Oh. It's with a bikini photo. Yeah. Spoiler alert. You don't say. Really? That's a thirst trap? I'm not sure that's right, Jen.
Starting point is 00:19:21 This is a, they work like a charm. I'm telling you. It's like. Wait, so what's yours? Because you're not as scantily clad as I am usually. Yeah, I know, but I'm a little bit, like, a little on the scandalous side. Yeah, because you're a big crop top fan, too. Yeah, so, like, it's...
Starting point is 00:19:34 But you also enjoy, like... Sorry. Kofi has caramel just ripped out of her mouth. You enjoy, like, a lace romper where the lace only covers your nip. Yes, yeah. Like, you're, like... Ryan really pointed that out there. Like, you're fully covered except for my nipple.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Yeah. I like to, like... You're a tease. A tease. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Jack just puts it out there. But they work. like i was dating this guy and he like wouldn't he literally like would never make a plan to like
Starting point is 00:20:01 hang out with me and it was starting to like drive me up a wall it's like you know what i'm just gonna like i wasn't going out saturday night but i'm gonna make it look like i'm going out like i already have like all my makeup done for the day and i like fully was like saturday night posted this like hot boomerang within 10 minutes no way oh god did you not he texted me and was like hey can we like can we hang out tomorrow can we have dinner tomorrow and i was like works there it goes i wish there was social media like that when i was single no it's the worst i'm still single like i'm not like i actually heard about the guy that you tried to set jack up with which one he's like hot hot lives in new york jack was like no can i get him
Starting point is 00:20:36 wait do you want all my sloppy seconds yeah they're cool i mean you guys don't need not of anything. He's dope and he's crazy rich and he's really into art and like here's the thing the thing I can't I cannot explain to Jack and she's not getting it and it's fine she has to realize it on her own but I'll pass this along to you
Starting point is 00:20:59 is that same penis forever it gets boring you know what I mean like where are you going with this? She wants you guys to embrace your singleness Does anybody embrace their singleness more than me? That's absolutely not what I was saying I was saying you should marry someone
Starting point is 00:21:15 rich because at some point you're not going to want to have sex with them even if they're the hottest man on the planet. Okay. So just marry a six who has a house in the Hamptons and a private jet and an art collection and you can live
Starting point is 00:21:31 well and like. Okay. I need to defend myself against this situation with this guy. I'm about to Okay fine. Go. Because this specific situation. I'm about to support your theory by the way. I don't even know what you're saying. I had a moment of clarity. Of clarity. Wait, with my sister?
Starting point is 00:21:46 Okay, I'm going to go back to this. Number one, I was down to go out with him. He lives in New York. Yeah, it's too hard for her. I'm going to New York in two weeks. Then you hang out with him. Yeah. Number two, I'm so thirsty.
Starting point is 00:21:58 My best friend was like, I'll take him. So she started following him on Instagram. I was like, you can have him. Someone has to marry this guy. He's a great catch. And he's a cool guy. She's right here. I don't see people I know.
Starting point is 00:22:10 If he likes me, he'll definitely like Tanya. Totally. You're the thing. But here's the thing. we were texting kind of and then it kind of just like went flat it wasn't your guy it's not against it like i was i'm for i go out with every guy anybody tries to set me up i set her up with like a 65 year old guy and i went out with him twice yeah and then i thought and then she walked across the restaurant she's like is that my grandpa and she's like i can't do this anymore
Starting point is 00:22:32 i was at sugarfish and i go to go to the bathroom and go to sit down and i was like who's that grandpa that was in that guy's seat and it was him and then i was like this is this is too much of an age difference when you look older than my dad from the back yeah becca anyways what was your theory i just think that you really i know we want rich for you we do i still do they're living vicariously i really really do for me mostly because i would really like like a house in the like the hamptons or malibu like friend house i'm so sick of like hanging out at like apartment complexes because they have pools okay so totally i just need some i need some luxury in my life okay i'm the last resort yeah you don't have a pool no i don't i can't afford a pool in my
Starting point is 00:23:20 apartment i sneak into apartment complexes across the street from me that's how bad i am like i totally live here that's a great idea with your theory okay you have to you have to be initially into the guy attracted to your person yeah because there's actually moments still where i'll look at zach and i'll be like oh my god i forgot i married someone handsome like i really have those moments you don't see that person every day no but could you imagine if you're like oh i forgot i'm married to fat, ugly, bald man. Like, that would suck.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Also, okay, I would be the first to admit that I am shallow with the people that I date. Like, I am a sucker for a hot guy. Are you the same? No! So why are you and Ryan not, like, running off into the sunset together? Or he has a girlfriend. Well, when he was single. Oh, well,
Starting point is 00:24:12 it's hard to explain because when you work with somebody like that, like, to me, that's like dating my brother. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, I can't see him that... I have fucked many men that I have called my, quote, brother. really let me just put that out there but unless they came out of my mother's vagina also and i can absolutely end up with their penis in my mouth it's like the richest man in the world and ryan is rich and he's cute yeah and he definitely has a house in the hamptons but
Starting point is 00:24:40 it's so not like that with him for me at least and it's also so like i don't like to cross the line in terms of like that's yeah that's like because when it and he's been like when i tell you he's been such a rock in my life like he's been such a rock i would never in a million years want to like i've never i can't and i'm the type of person i can't have unattached anything like i literally make out with someone i'm like oh like you love what are we yeah what are we can't do that and i know that in my dating life now too like i've learned that like i can't just like i can't have unattached sex i tried to do that and i just like i can't you guys are the same. It's so weird. But I don't
Starting point is 00:25:18 need a 10. We're going to start calling you Jack Rat. She doesn't need a 10. I don't. This is great because we can go out and then you can take the kind of ugly ones. For me, I just need Steady Eddie in my life. That's what I need. Steady Eddie. My life is crazy. My job is crazy. I go to sleep at 9pm.
Starting point is 00:25:34 I don't need Kendall. I need Steady Eddie. I like that. Most importantly, you guys are the number one radio show in the world. In the whole world. In the universe. I like it. Whatever. I mean, I know you're so popular and you get every person like people that won't talk to anyone else come by because they i want to be honest they love you and they love ryan but also they want their song
Starting point is 00:25:55 played on the number one station so let's like be honest don't blow up her spot like that make them people do not know this okay but anyway but you get everyone like you get everyone and i want to know do you get hit on do you get hit on at work um also john mayer has definitely tried to tap that oh my god no i'm telling you i want john mayer to tap me no musicians who how many hit on you or dm you or say like let me get your card this is what's so sad i'm like none like none i've ever had no one one josh groban no but i like that oh no you wouldn't sorry my laugh is so aggressive so i have to back away from the microphone there was one there's only one in like the whole that i've actually hooked up with two sorry okay
Starting point is 00:26:49 can i have two yeah but you probably wouldn't know any of their names five guesses you would never know because they're like not no someone from five seconds of summer oh my god they're 12 literally 12 no okay a baxter boy no they're all married oh gross you wouldn't even know these i don't think you would know that no i would know them if they're on your show you have a Are they musicians? This is years ago. Oh, this is years ago. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:11 And they haven't gotten famous since then? One of them was on American Idol. Justin Garini. I was just going to say that. No. Taylor Hicks. Taylor Hicks. And then one of them was from a CW show, like, forever ago.
Starting point is 00:27:24 And I think he's, like, married now. Gossip Girl. Ed Westwick. Ed Westwick. No. I'm telling you guys, I don't even know. I'll tell you off the mics. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:29 But you're going to be, like, disappointed. And that's what I'm saying. Wait, that's so mean of me. It's just real, girl. um but like i'd say in the last two years nobody that's so sad it's wrong with me it's something i'm like who's your who's your dream like who do you want to come comes in this or who has been yeah well jason tardy i was just gonna ask about jason yeah i am higher who is that he's gonna be the next bachelor but like do you think he'll be the bachelor i think he wants it so bad does he
Starting point is 00:28:01 feel like campaigning i feel like he liked me but i feel like he was very like lukewarm not like not lukewarm but like listen he's putting yes because he's like i want to be the bachelor which made me like i was like i don't what like now let's just let's just not let's just anything from that world that bachelor nation that's what i'm saying it's gonna be a hard no for you it's gonna be a hard no absolutely not because then they don't have jobs thirst bucket okay do you guys know who bobby bones is the radio guy yeah yeah do we like him i'm gonna go for you Yeah. For you?
Starting point is 00:28:34 Yeah. Wait, I thought you were, like, super old. Do you know how hot and sexual you are? I'm attracted to you right now, and I just met you. Bobby Bones? I thought Bobby Bones was, like, 50. No, he's, like, 30-something. He is.
Starting point is 00:28:46 It's a no from me, girl. It's a no. Is he not cute? First of all, because then you'll be Tanya Bones, and I cannot talk about him on the radio. Whatever. So cute. Oh, my God. No, girl.
Starting point is 00:28:58 He's, like, an ugly Ryan. No. Oh, shit. okay okay anyway anyway i don't mean it bobby i just saw brett eldridge you don't do country okay here's the thing oh bobby bones is kind of cute first of all he's so cute bobby is cuter than ryan sorry and he like but he gets my job like he gets my profession and he's like a competition with bobby bones the other ryan seacrest he's isn't. He's super cute.
Starting point is 00:29:29 It's a no coming into it. Is his ex Lindsay L some country singer? No. It's a no. Okay. Why are you... Listen, I'm saying complete no to Bobby Bones. Here's the thing. So for me... You want a bone? Wait. Do you and Bobby Bones have a thing? I've been
Starting point is 00:29:45 trying for it. You are relentless and it's amazing. I love it. You're like, what about this guy that I know and he's gonna hear this and he's gonna... I feel like Bobby Bones wears foundation and I'm not okay with that. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:29:58 It's not the guy for you. If he wears foundation, if you go in, you have a sleepover and you're like, oh, I wish I would have brought my makeup to this one night stand
Starting point is 00:30:05 and then you open the door and there's foundation, that's a no. I don't think he does. I think he just has good skin. I have like such a, it's such a desire of my heart to be married
Starting point is 00:30:13 and have like a family. So I feel like it's one of those things that's like, I have a lot going on in my life but that's like the one thing that's missing. So I feel like it's like
Starting point is 00:30:20 always on top of my mind. You know, and I don't know. Oh, same. And I try to put myself out there. I'm like, on the apps, I can't do the apps. Delete yourself off the apps.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Yeah. It was the best thing that I ever did. I don't even know why I'm still on them, but it's like, it's such a thing that I, like, desire so much,
Starting point is 00:30:34 so it's like, I put a lot of effort into it, but I feel like at this point, like, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Now, why can't Ryan help you? He tries. No, you know what?
Starting point is 00:30:43 I need to talk to Ryan. I need to talk to Ryan Seacrest because he's not... Kelsey, I need to have a word with Ryan. No, I do. Ryan, if you're listening, which you're probably not because you work 19 hours a day. No way.
Starting point is 00:30:55 But definitely not listening. Not a chance. He's obviously so good at so many things. Obviously not a good matchmaker. He's not a good matchmaker. Men are just not. No. Yeah, men are not.
Starting point is 00:31:05 Why is he not? He's not really thinking about you as a person and giving you what you need. How old are you? I am 31. Yes. Oh, my God. We are twins. When's your birthday?
Starting point is 00:31:15 It just was this past July, 18. Weird. Okay, this is Riven. sorry okay what time do you get up in the morning uh 4 a.m oh every just monday through friday just monday through friday yeah but like on the weekends i get up at like 6 6 15 just because my body's like used to it okay and it's brutal i'm a morning person so like i know it's gonna sound so but what time are you done i'm done at like give or take 1 30 in the afternoon right yeah so then you go home you nap no i don't nap i can't nap but then if i have events in the
Starting point is 00:31:49 afternoon then i have like i have just like a gap in my day and then i have like you know you know how it is there's all the carpets and everything is at night very hard okay but i love what i do so it's like i'm not you know what i mean yeah it's that okay next it's like always grateful always tired i love that i'm just always grateful and tired i always say i'm always tired i'm always mildly grateful i'm opposite i'm always grateful but i'm always well rested because i'm unemployed um okay so can you give us the coles notes version of how you got your job because i think it's pretty rad what the hell is a coles note yeah i'm sorry in america you have cliff notes and in canada you have coles notes yeah honestly okay i don't wait do you not know what a cliff
Starting point is 00:32:36 note is we know what a cliff coles the coles notes is that in canada you can't have the cliff note. Why? It has a different fucking name, Jack. Does it have to do with the Kohl's store? Are you like the Kohl's on here? Canada, yeah. Canada is so weird. Eat your Tim Hortons and talk about your Kohl's notes. I like Canada. I like Canadians. It's like a weird direct rip-off
Starting point is 00:32:56 to my kid. Could they not have gone a further departure? It was probably first, and it was probably trademarked, and then when America stole it, just like they did Thanksgiving. and celine dion men stole celine by the way a woman of the world so distracted by this ring holy thank you
Starting point is 00:33:20 putting that thank you kelty doesn't wear hers because she likes to pretend she's not married that's not true i then what is it kelty she's still waiting on adam levine to hit on her during an interview. Gross, no thanks. Just kidding. That's not who I would want anyway. I know. Gross.
Starting point is 00:33:37 But I have a bad habit of leaving my wedding ring all over the place and then forgetting to put it on in the morning. So yeah. It just doesn't work. It's a thing.
Starting point is 00:33:47 I mean, okay, okay. Kohl's notes. I'll give you the Kohl's notes. Elena laughed, you guys. We're so funny. Elena likes this again. She hasn't laughed
Starting point is 00:33:57 in like three weeks. She hasn't laughed in like months. I'll give you the CliffsNotes version because it's so, I don't know if you guys are. Cold notes. Oh, yeah, cold notes. Sorry. I don't know if you guys are spiritual at all or into faith and believe in God, but
Starting point is 00:34:11 I'm, like, such a believer and, like, my entire career is such, like, a proof of divine intervention because of how it happened. It's so crazy. I started out with Ryan however many, eight years ago, and I was a producer behind the scenes. And the thing that, the reason why I love him so much is because from day one, even when I was behind the scenes he was amazing to me teaching me encouraging me like just amazing and then when Ellen Kaye who was the co-host at the time got her own morning show they were
Starting point is 00:34:41 bringing in new girls and it was always just a show of two people it was Ryan and Ellen for however long and then when they brought in Sisney they also made me full-time on-air co-host because we just had this great really good like chemistry and I was just really open and the thing one of our producers told me he was like the thing that's so great about you is that you're just authentically you you don't i don't really have a filter it's almost to a fault like i feel like some relationships that i've had maybe ended because of things that i've shared but i just don't have like i don't know how to be like on air tanya and then like not on air tanya does that make sense yeah so um it's like when becca talks about shitting her pants like it's who she is
Starting point is 00:35:19 totally totally that's me it's true so that's kind of how it all happened they just kind of brought me on and now it's it is what it is and it's like the craziest thing because i'm like never in a million years if you would have told tanya in high school who had like the shakira john mayer fan club that she was going to be talking to john mayer about his fan club on freaking radio wait and shakira slash john mayer yeah it was a shakira slash john and that and when i told john mayer about it he was like uh why didn't i get my own fan club i was like well I like the both of you. I was the president.
Starting point is 00:35:54 So were you the only member of it? There was five of us. Thank you. But it's crazy because I'm like, my life has had this whole like I used to just be a super fan of music. Like I've just always been such a freak of music. And the fact that I'm like in where I am now is like seriously the craziest thing. Like I'm always just eternally grateful.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Where'd you grow up? Orange County. So I'm close. Wait, we're in Orange County. You are the same. Have we talked about this? Are you with Stefani? What's happening?
Starting point is 00:36:20 Hello back. seal beach do you know where seal beach is yeah i grew up in mission viejo what was your high school tesoro this is another conversation okay last question crazy though yeah one time i was at a press junket with ryan ryan ryan and his publicist cut me off on a question that i think is really interesting so i'm gonna ask you now okay so it's recently no it's kind of recently um she cut me off because i was like confused about how ryan does so many jobs and i was like Do you have a staff? Do you have someone that's like, Ryan, it is now time to eat and puts like a salad in
Starting point is 00:36:53 front of him? Does he have someone like making his smoothies? Does he have someone driving him? Does he have something, someone like walking him while he's on the phone doing meetings to the car to drive him? Does he have a private jet? Like, I don't understand how you could be in New York and then LA and New York and LA and then do the radio.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Like, where, where are you taping the radio? Are you with him? Like, I, she doesn't understand. The reason they cut you off is because this is not a question. i think i think they cut me off because they i think he has a private jet and they don't want him to people to know oh well you should if you or ryan seacrest i don't hand to god i don't know like ryan seacrest is not on jet blue mint okay yeah because it's delta duh yes yes girl we're gonna have to start playing delta because it's two versus one on this by the way yeah
Starting point is 00:37:41 you delta yes oh well i won't be on the same delta medallion what jet mint is but um honestly it's the poor man's business class um he i don't even know how he does it all to be honest because i get him for like one 120th of like his day but i will say he's very um he's very hands-on on everything that he does like and that's something that i've learned definitely working with him is like I'll never nothing will get past me without me seeing it first you know what I mean like he's still super involved in every single task that he's involved in like his name's not just on it like he's invested and involved that's so crazy it's so crazy and he does he's really like the way he works is so fascinating and I don't even know how it's probably not that fun to be his
Starting point is 00:38:29 girlfriend all right let's go on now and play a game called rad in honor of you rad or fad rad is you love it fad is it's a fad like you like it for now but you're probably going to pass
Starting point is 00:38:40 your like soon okay okay are you ready Cardi B oh rad rad I just started following her on Instagram

Starting point is 00:39:03 bye rad with a poached egg ditto are you gonna answer these yeah i'm saying rad drake bad i don't care he's pretty rad i'm like a i don't think you could put a musician on that list and i won't say rad well try to because that'll be really boring i love drake i love drake i've never met him oh he's like the only musician i think i've never interviews right he does nothing he doesn't why he does nothing there's like certain he doesn't have to yeah but i will say everyone in canada when i've been working up there it's all about drake all the time and i'm like you guys need more famous diversify yeah no like drake is the
Starting point is 00:39:45 only person that they talk about justin bieber kelty knight they're only a guy from creed let me tell you something let me just tell you people in canada aren't even bringing up my canadian fame they're not claiming bieber anymore nobody's claiming me no because i petitioned i think nobody's claiming you just because nobody's claiming you no what did you petition to be on canada's most beautiful list is that a thing yes like online hello magazine i mean probably shane mitchell's on it because she's canadian right yeah it just came out so last year when it came out i saw my friend who was on it and i was like yo how'd you get on this list and he literally gave me the editor's name and so i had my people reach out all year long like would you
Starting point is 00:40:28 consider kelty that's really shitty that they wouldn't put you on there but i'm just saying there's not that many famous i was just gonna say that you don't have to be that beautiful to be the most beautiful person you don't have to be that beautiful to be in the one in like people magazine let's be serious you just have to be famous yeah and so i was pissed so i was like anyway i'm mad about that okay that's shitty i'm sorry for you thank you well they're gonna regret it when lady gang tv is a major success for us and i don't have time to tour canada right now that is like you guys are so legit like it's so funny so i was like so stoked to be coming here tonight you know i was like you need to aim way higher in your men and now your social activities i know my boss was
Starting point is 00:41:07 like tanya you're on kiss fm in the morning i'm serious like the fact that you're getting a tv show like that's so legit and you're having all like women run it and it's just i'm yeah just just a fan cool what do you think of lindsey lohan getting a reality show rad or fad fad i think it's rad i can't wait i can't it's a great train wreck did you watch the last one uh with her mom and sister not the oprah one she was like yeah maybe it was no i thought it was like she was in that apartment in new york and she was like a whore she did it for her to like help lindsey lohan And then, like, come back. Well, this would just be more of, like, a fun one.
Starting point is 00:41:48 I hope so. Yeah. Well, she has that place in Greece now, right? Yeah, she's, like, Mykonos all over the place. Beach house. I think I've, like, come to this point in my life, because, like, I used to watch all this, like, shit on TV, and, like, now I'm just always... You're about to watch more.
Starting point is 00:42:03 The cream of the crop. That's so different than, like, Lindsay Lohan. I'm like, what am I getting from you? I know. Do you know what I mean? Like, I'm really... I'm really into, like, the, like... Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Post Malone. Is he the one with face tattoos? I have no idea. I literally see his name all the time. His tattoo says, always tired. Rad. No way. It's a fad for me.
Starting point is 00:42:25 I'm going to say, but I like his music. He does have good music. You have to give the album a chance. It's true. He's pretty rad. I'm going to say rad. Never talked to him, never met him either. Cool.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Scott DM'd him. DM'd him aggressively. Never responded. Aggressively. I literally sent a two-page DM to Post Malone being like, i'm so sad that i judged you from the beginning of your career so hilarious like by your looks and i thought like you were just not like this deep artist and then like your album really touched me this song really hit my heart and like i just want to apologize for judging you
Starting point is 00:42:58 it's like it's like your insides don't match your outsides like your outsides are like i'm a hot girl and your inside is like, I am pathetic. That's the best way to describe it. Yeah, like I'm a loser. Yeah, you are. You really are. Like, I mean, I am thirsty and like affected like so much and even I wouldn't do that.
Starting point is 00:43:24 Oh, yeah. Like I've like groveled at Paula Abdul's face and been like, Paula Abdul, you're everything to me. And she was like, uh-huh. But even I would not write a two-page letter to Post Malone. Yeah, and I texted the label, like the head of the label, and I was like, do you think he'll ever respond? You're amazing.
Starting point is 00:43:40 Oh, my God. Oh, my God. This is so funny. They were like, yeah, on the 11th of never. I was like, okay, cool. Okay, perfect. Scott Disick is getting his own reality show. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I found some information out about him. Oh, please tell. So. Doing the dishes. Yeah. So, yes. Kanye recorded his album, Where I Got Married, like his most recent album. The Amigati.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Amigati in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. so we stayed really close with all the people that they were it was like an amazing group of people like so great and somebody that doesn't work there anymore oh um source info source info um said that everyone was so amazing kim and kanye are like the nicest people gracious she's like scott disick is a monster allegedly he is allegedly a monster so rad or fad reality show definitely not neither because i don't want him anywhere you're like bye i'm with you bye you're not even a fat anymore you're over and to hear that you're a shitty person i don't like it allegedly a shitty person lord disick i look i think he's
Starting point is 00:44:51 only funny within the kardashians 12 year old yeah that's so creepy i literally have three children it's gross it's too many things three i don't know yeah dj khaled oh so rad have you dm'd him no i've met him and i've done it to his face i've done it to his face i'm gonna have to go with fad i i like him i don't see him in our future did you not hear how he said he pronounces taylor swift song delicate no i literally can't like on purpose or just i don't know if he like couldn't read it or yeah i don't know i loved all of his like snapchat shenanigans i did too so when we watched his wife giving birth yeah too much too much rad i'm gonna say rafad oh are you breaking a rule yeah i am because i think it's a fad and like
Starting point is 00:45:47 I'm also like what do you do DJ Khaled because all he does is like we make the best music he's a producer but he does he does
Starting point is 00:45:56 we make the best and I know he does that like I don't know if you could take it I know you wanna make me naked naked naked
Starting point is 00:46:03 he wrote that song or whatever and that's a great song but it's a banger I'll say I'll say that I wanna say rad
Starting point is 00:46:08 because I saw him backstage at some award show and I made him say like we make the best celebrity interviews I was like I'm teased for this show I was like can you do like
Starting point is 00:46:19 we make like with the ET mic you're like the best asshole yeah he did it he was game he was game
Starting point is 00:46:26 and it was so cute you're like when the publicist steps in it's like yeah do you feel like when you meet celebrities that you really like
Starting point is 00:46:37 and I am so bad at this Sammy Sammy can attest this like I love so hard so if I meet like a too hard
Starting point is 00:46:43 if I meet a musician and they're amazing as a person. Like, I, like, will, to my deathbed, I will, like, buy all your songs, all your merch. Like, I'm, like, in for life. Yes. Me too.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Me too. I suddenly don't feel that flattered that you love the Lady Gang. This seems weird. Okay. Florida Georgia Line. Rad or fad? Obviously rad.
Starting point is 00:47:05 I've never met you before. Florida Georgia Line. My favorite country band? I don't. I can't. I saw them perform once and it was just, like, It was, like, my high school experience all over again.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Are you kidding me? They're so good. Sammy's coming in for a snack, ladies and gentlemen. Sammy's a snack girl. Shawn Mendes. Oh, I know her answer. So rad. I'm, like, literally all in with Shawn Mendes.
Starting point is 00:47:25 I'm all in, too. Like, he can do no wrong. I did not realize. But how f***ed up that he went to the Met Gala with Hailey, and now she's engaged to Bieber? Like, that was rude, Hailey. The whole thing was super weird to me. Were they dating? No, they never were.
Starting point is 00:47:40 Like, I don't know. But, like, the Met Gala's the most important red carpet of the year. So either I have two conspiracies. He didn't want to walk it alone. Either. Was he invited? No, I don't believe that. Yeah, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:47:51 I think either she was trying to make Justin jealous and it worked because then she got the ring, or Shawn Mendes' people paid her like an Instagram influencer moment to take him. You think so? I don't think he needs her. No, I think he didn't want to walk it alone. He does at the Met Gala. Nobody knows who he is at the Met Gala.
Starting point is 00:48:09 I guess you're right at the Met Gala. But she, I don't know. She's literally just, I don't know. She's everything. Wouldn't they pay someone better? Not better, but like. No, I do. But it's.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Okay. Like, why not pay like Selena Gomez? True. Okay. Love her too. I love her. Next Backstreet Boys. I love her.
Starting point is 00:48:26 Oh my God. Rad. All day. Rad. What? Don't go breaking my heart, breaking my heart. I mean, it's a decent song. It is a banger.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Was it enough to come? Have you watched the video? I haven't watched the video yet. Oh my God. The video? if you have not watched that video the video is everything i wanted 2018 baxter boys to be kevin's in a fucking bucket hat i mean shut up but you'll appreciate this story so they come in studio with that to premiere that song and i tell kevin i'm like i used to have a photo of
Starting point is 00:49:03 kevin on my on my uh wall when i was in 13 or whatever i used to make out with his face so hard I like it was like wet around his mouth so sick and I was like and now I'm meeting you and they're all like kiss her I was like no he's married but it was like
Starting point is 00:49:23 I was like I can't believe like I'm actually meeting you I literally used to make out with your face when I was 13 years old no every time I see Brian I'm like how's your heart oh my god the hole in the heart and he had like the hole in his heart and they did the video and it was like he was in the hospital
Starting point is 00:49:39 because he had like that heart problem I do he was my favorite I don't even remember that yeah he had a hole in his heart yeah and like
Starting point is 00:49:45 one of the videos it was like a scene like he was like living out his like he had to go to the hospital because they're breaking the heart his heart was really broken
Starting point is 00:49:51 and I was like oh my god Brian this is too literal Brian literal isn't that his last name Latrell I think whatever Brian literal
Starting point is 00:50:01 I love the Backstreet Boys me too have you gone to the Vegas show no I well I interviewed them But I couldn't stay. Is it so good? I haven't seen it, but that's definitely going to be on.
Starting point is 00:50:11 One time I went to the rehearsal, and Kevin was wearing a ripaway track pant. With a dress shoe, right? A tuxedo shoe. Like a shiny. Or my neck. A shiny pant. You guys, like tuxedo dress shoe with a little bit of a heel. And then like a Nike ripaway pant.
Starting point is 00:50:27 And it was so tragic, because he's so tall. It was so extra. It was like the dad at the bar. The music video is truly everything. Yeah, it's so special. I don't have three minutes for that. I put the Backstreet Boys on our TV list. You'll never regret it.
Starting point is 00:50:42 My best friend's name, Becca. We literally, I think, have watched that video probably 30 times. I'm going to watch it in my car before I leave. Like, that's how bad I need to watch it. Honestly, I want to watch it so bad right now. I want to leave. Take a break, watch the video, and then come back. And talk about it.
Starting point is 00:50:59 I honestly want to be out of the podcast. I don't want to run the podcast anymore. Take over. I'm going to watch the video with the sound off. I don't even need the sound off. No, don't need the song. Oh my god, I can't wait. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:08 Well, that was fun. We'll be back after watching the video. We're going to do Ask the Lady Gang. Hey, ladies! Get funky. Ask the Lady Gang. And we're back with our biggest fan, Tanya, in the house. Everyone's biggest fan.
Starting point is 00:51:24 I excuse you. It's a very, it's a tight, she was like, rad, rad, rad. And I was like, armpit hair, rad. Lindt, rad. What are you going to do? Easton Richards, rad. I love them. They're so fun.
Starting point is 00:51:36 I used to make out with a poster. Yeast infections. No, but that, honestly, talking about yeast infections, when you guys talk about all that stuff, I'm like, I literally, I listen to this podcast and I'm like, me too. And I'm like fully by myself. It's so embarrassing. That's why we do this. Not yeast infections.
Starting point is 00:51:53 I'm not, but like. You're not prone to them. I'm prone to UTIs. Oh, me too. Me too, girl. And I recently heard that the cranberry situation is a myth. Yeah. You can get a little pill from your doctor.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Yeah. That you take. I don't know what it's called. I've taken the before pill I bought Gigi crackers after you guys had that girl on They're good right With like a little avocado I bought a giant thing of it
Starting point is 00:52:19 I was like the lady gang likes them They're like please rate our podcast So that we don't have commercials I was like okay I'm that girl Can we start our fan club Can we share it with Shakira Shakira
Starting point is 00:52:33 Wait actually When I was on Broadway we did a meet-and-greet with children like like elementary school ish, whatever at a grocery store Swear to God this little girl ran up to me and was like Swear to God I she thought it was Shakira and I was like, yes, I am That's amazing I wish you could have seen oh you actually probably can't the videos probably up see John Mayer's face and Ryan's like what did you guys talk about in your club meetings? And I was like, well, we would take his lyrics of his songs and talk about how they relate to our lives.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Shut your mouth. This is the best thing I've ever heard. Back to You by John Mayer is like Scott Thompson in my life. So every time I hear that song, that's my guy. Every single lyric is like him. Oh, my God. And he was just like. He was like, get me out of here.
Starting point is 00:53:30 He was like, I was going to try to sexually nop on this girl, but now i'm definitely never mind i'm out he's gonna skin me and hurt me he definitely needs a restraining order anyways okay so you know what ass lady gang is so i'm just gonna jump in yeah don't need to tell her she probably wrote all these questions oh my god okay it's so hot in here okay our first question comes from taylor taylor says aka tanya last year my boyfriend and i went through a pretty rough time we broke up for a while in the end we ended up getting back together he's a super generous person sometimes he can be
Starting point is 00:54:13 a little over the top with his generosity he let his best friend and their new girlfriend who is pregnant move into our basement we also live with his brother so there there were five of us in the house at the same time with one bathroom holy shit that's a lot of poop happening after three months of them living with us i told my boyfriend he had to tell them to find a new place to live in a nice way obviously fast forward a year and a half and we have when and we haven't spoken to them we hear through the grapevine so did that mean they moved out yeah they said we gotta go we hear through the grapevine from friends that they tell people we kicked them out they have unfollowed me on all social media but kept my boyfriend i hear all the time that it's a bad
Starting point is 00:54:50 idea to mix money and friendship is their friendship done for good so the question is the boyfriend is super giving let them stay with them and then they kicked him out and now think it's the girl's fault yeah but in general the question is like should you let people live with you or should you share money or like money and friendships
Starting point is 00:55:09 can it work that's why we're not really friends I like your cliff notes version of that I got a little lost in the weeds there I mean money and friends cannot work you can only mix money and friends
Starting point is 00:55:25 if you have zero expectations so like if someone's going through a hard time and you want to give them money or they ask you for money you can decide to give it to them don't ever expect to be paid back, don't ever expect it to be even, don't expect a flower arrangement, like you gotta give
Starting point is 00:55:40 freely and unselfishly so if you're obviously seems like your guy was on board with giving freely but you are not and that is not a good relationship he needs to communicate don't invite your brother and your friends to live with me bitch without talking to me or whatever i mean that's and that's it's they obviously didn't have a big place and they had
Starting point is 00:56:01 five people and basically like a one bedroom place like that is i mean that's a lot i always subscribe to the like theory of just like hashtag i can't like i can't with like just the drama like i just i have this like new theory in life where it's like if it's gonna cause you drama just release it like no no don't let the people live with you no yeah it's gonna stress you out no Well, and they need to have these conversations before something like that happens, I think. Don't mix money and friendships. That's why we're not friends. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Yeah. It just gets messy. Okay. Second question comes from Brittany. I live in Chicago, and the guy I was talking to lives home in Michigan. He pursued me knowing that we didn't live near each other, and he has intentions to go away to school but doesn't know where yet. He came to visit me twice, and our relationship seemed so natural, and we had a great connection. Out of the blue, he told me that he's applying to schools and can't be in a long-distance relationship.
Starting point is 00:56:52 He said that there is no one else, but I am very confused and I miss him. Do I reach out and tell him how I feel or will absence make the heart grow fonder? I'm going nuts. Brittany, there's definitely someone else. Yeah. I mean, like, you're the prize. I think so. Like, I have this whole new thing where it's like no more discounts.
Starting point is 00:57:09 I feel like we're constantly giving out discounts to these guys. It's like, oh, no, I don't want to be treated. I want to be treated right. You're not a 99-cent store, honey. No, no more. You're Barney's. I'm not your maybe. I'm your yes.
Starting point is 00:57:25 Like, F this shit. And long distance is one of those things, like, you have to be in it or else it's not going to work. And also, I feel like when people are dating, you kind of don't think that they're dating anybody else, but everybody's dating other people. Discount. You're handing out the coupons. I can't. Nope. I can't.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Hashtag I can't. Hashtag she can't. all right last question rachel says my only sister and her boyfriend of six years just got engaged and are getting married next july as maid of honor i've been non-stop hearing about all of her wedding plans and it's making me feel jealous my boyfriend and i didn't get engaged first we've only been together three years but we rent a house have a dog and two kittens and thoroughly enjoy our 9 p.m bedtime so i feel married already is there any way i can casually start dropping proposal hints or should i just suck it up and wait around until he asks
Starting point is 00:58:13 oh wow let me tell you something the great thing about your sister getting married first is that you can watch her make all the mistakes that you don't want to make at your wedding so if she's by having one right like she has a big wedding and stresses all this stuff and then you're going to be like oh destination 10 people sounds great oh yeah um the thing is is that i feel like in our heart of hearts we all put so much pressure on the like getting married and having the wedding and like but it seems like you clearly have a great relationship you guys got the house the dog like you're already married and so my personal opinion is guys only get to do one thing in their entire lives on their own without us having anything to do with it and that's the proposal
Starting point is 00:59:01 so like don't f**k with it it might be coming and you might not even know it might come in two years But, like, let him propose to you without you shenaggling him to propose to you. As someone who's saying, if you like it, then you better put a ring on it on the corner outside the Staples Center before a hockey game, trying to convince my husband to marry me, then was embarrassed, like, two weeks later when he had already been planning it for, like, eight weeks. No, eight weeks. Like, eight months. Had the ring. Like, knew he was doing it. I think it was, like, four days later, actually.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Like, I ruined it by looking like a major twat. so just be normal tbt do people use that word anymore twat yeah i always feel like um this is like a piece of advice that somebody gave me so long ago and i'll never forget it like when you're in a swimming in a race and you're like swimming and you have people in the lanes next to you the minute you look this way you're gonna lose the race so like in life i try not to like compare you know i mean it's like i'm 31 i'm single as shit i can't like look to my left and my right because all my friends from college are married having babies like you know what i mean like when you start looking around you're just gonna get lost and
Starting point is 01:00:14 that's when like you're gonna ruin a good thing you know i mean like she has a good thing going and she's like comparing it to her sister and she's gonna like however someone in the lady gang facebook group was it someone the lady gang facebook group what they said get in that they finally oh yeah oh you will approve you okay you have to answer the questions our number one fan you can be someone on the lady gate facebook group was like i finally got engaged um i hope you guys are so happy after two years of searching for engagement rings i wanted on my boyfriend's computer so that this featured ads are like the at you know when your computer listens to you Oh, that is smart.
Starting point is 01:00:54 She went on the computer and searched all the rings she wanted. So they come up in ads. So they kept coming up on his Facebook and stuff. So she was dropping the handkerchief. Yeah. Without him even knowing. I feel like that's kind of brilliant. That is brilliant.
Starting point is 01:01:04 I mean, if you're not going to talk to your partner about the kind of ring you want. Yes. That is some, like, shady-ass shit, and I love it. She's got a ring that looks like that? That's the same girl that has shared her location indefinitely, or had his location shared with her. Shared with her, and he doesn't even know? He doesn't even know. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:19 In his sleep. Wait, that's so good. Do you do that? No. I don't care where my husband is. I kind of like to do that. Why? Why?
Starting point is 01:01:26 I don't know. I share it with my sister in case I'm hiking and I get abducted. Oh, yeah. It's good to share it with somebody. Yeah. And I asked my husband if he wanted it. He was like, not really. Do you love being married?
Starting point is 01:01:38 Yeah. I will say that, yeah. I mean, I also married the right person. Right. I know that I would not feel this way if it wasn't the right one. The right one. I would absolutely loathe being married if I didn't – if I settled. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:01:53 Yeah. Do you love being married? I love being married. I'll say, like, I have been kind of open about it on the podcast. Like, I didn't have the best start to 2018. And that feeling of anxiety of, like, me crying on an airplane, like, listening to sad music and being like, ugh. Like, I haven't had that feeling in so long because I was pretty secure in my relationship. and so to feel that again I was like you know if this goes everything else unravels because the
Starting point is 01:02:20 only reason I feel like I can be successful and on top of it and like doing this is because I married the right guy like I have so much support and like without that I turn into a disaster and like this will all go poof in a hot second you know that's what I think I yearn for so much is like companionship in life you know like somebody that like stability like I think there's so much power in the number two you know it's like I'm I have so much vision and so much purpose on my life and i'm like if i have a partner that has that same vision and purpose like we're going to be unstoppable so i think like that's why i'm so ready to get that ball rolling but i feel your girl but it happens so quickly too it's like you spend all this time being like so upset that you
Starting point is 01:02:58 haven't met the guy yet and it just takes one it's like one day meeting yeah and then it all changes you know what i mean so it's like it's coming and i think you have to have like all of my friends who've sort of been in that like spiraling situation i think something happens when we turn 30 where it's like scary as shit like very scary and i've watched those girlfriends of mine spiral at 30 and get really crazy and i've seen some have grasped on to anybody who was there oh which is a mistake that's like a nightmare and that is already falling apart in a million pieces and then there's the girls that just sort of like lived in it but also made their way through that like weird time right and those are the girls who have met people like that are amazing and
Starting point is 01:03:46 just don't like i think that that's the scariest thing is like you feel like you have to grab the first person that shows any interest or like you he's right on paper yeah right and i just i've seen it and it's so sad and it's just like what do you what do you think i'm like a hybrid of the two because like i am at that point where i'm like a little bit like okay i'm ready but then i i'm also very like i have high standards you know your work yeah i really do and i've dated like i've dated a lot it's like same girl weird like weird it's weird makes good content for the radio show you know so i know they're probably like never get yeah that's what i fucking have but i look at like my girlfriend who just settled and it's like i know she would rather be single
Starting point is 01:04:31 than be with that person yeah there's nothing worse than that and especially waiting so long in your life in your 30s to then settle like absolutely not and you're way too hot to settle and you too Jack
Starting point is 01:04:41 and we'll be happy for you I love you I need to like keep you in my pocket at all times I like really got a confidence boost
