Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's your Lady Gang, Jack Vanek, Kelty Knight, and Becca Tobin. Thank you so much for subscribing on iTunes, and thanks for supporting the great sponsors who make it possible for us to have this much fun with you every single week for free. Well, what is this? Welcome to the Lady Gang. That's amazing. Say that again. The Lady Gang. Things are about to change around here.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Each week we catch up with Hollywood's hottest girl posse, Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Hello and welcome to the Lady Gang. I am Becca Tobin here with Kelty Knight and Jack O'Vanuck. I love New Year's. You do? It's a brand new year full of possibilities. Do you know that this is the last year that we'll ever be a teen in our lifetime? Because it's going to be 2020 and then 2030 and then 2040. I hate when people say things like that.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Really? It makes me feel too sad. I hate when people say New Year, new me. Hate it. Do you know it? I mean, not a new me. I just continue. I continue. I'm part of my evolution of Kelty.
Starting point is 00:01:05 I love a new year. Really? I don't. I hate New Year's. It's like always the most. No, I don't like New Year's Eve. Oh, you just like a new year. That's disappointing.
Starting point is 00:01:12 But like a new fresh year. It's like a fresh planner. New pen set. Oh, my God. A clean closet. I mean, it's okay. A facial. It is a nice way to separate your life.
Starting point is 00:01:23 A toe fungus gone. Yeah, it's nice to be like – I feel like people get quite optimistic around the new year. Yeah. Are you optimistic, Jack? No. Becca? Yeah, I am. You are?
Starting point is 00:01:36 Yeah. This is going to be our best year. This is the year we're going to launch into worldwide fame. I think it's going to be a good year for us. And I think that like for the first time in my life, I don't feel anxious about like what's ahead because it's kind of nice that we know that we have like 10 episodes of television ahead of us. Yeah. And we have a lot of projects rolling. A lot of projects going.
Starting point is 00:01:54 No, eggs are in like 500 baskets. Okay. Yeah. It's going to be a good year, guys. Good year. On that note, should we get into it? Let's do it. It's time for...
Starting point is 00:02:04 Good week. Yes, it is. Bad week. Oh, no. Who's going first? Who wants to go first? I'll go first. Cool.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Cool. While you find yours. Okay. So I have a good week, bad week. It's all one. Mine's all one, too. Okay. Weird.
Starting point is 00:02:20 So I got a DM on Instagram, bad week first. and they basically was like an acquaintance barely like someone that i know socially do not have their phone number wouldn't be able to spell their last name if i saw them at a restaurant i would like maybe wave but probably wouldn't go over to the table or i would pretend i didn't see them that level of acquaintance okay i get this message out of the blue hey how are you i have a feeling there's a bun in the oven congrats i'm sorry when did we start doing that maybe i'm bloated maybe i look is it not from the lady gang episode no it was like from my instagram pictures i got this before that episode who is this person it's just like a social media person that i've
Starting point is 00:03:11 known from like around hollywood ish when they said i have a feeling you have a bun in the oven yes like they're trying to like and then i didn't respond for like 24 hours because i was so flabbergasted that someone would just come out and do that to me follow them like did they see that you saw the message i have no idea and then they wrote no pressure i just had a feeling go yourself that's first of all my gut is very inflamed because i have been eating terrible food for six months i'm not supposed to eat gluten and i've been eating donuts every day I'm a little chubby. I haven't been working out.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Go f*** yourself. I'm so mad. But is it because that you looked heavy in a picture, which you don't? You're so f***ed that that's skinny. I don't think that that's probably. Or is it they're like, they're trying to like do a psychic thing like to predict that you're That's what I think. They're trying to push that on me.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Like, oh, you've been married five years. Where's the baby? Well, I thought it was because they watched the episode with the Leah thing. No, it wasn't the before that. That is so weird. Yeah. It's so messed up. so anyway my good week is i didn't respond because normally my first inclination would be to go fight
Starting point is 00:04:13 kill and be like no ha ha ha ha but instead i'm just like mute cut you out of my life oh unfollow that bye you know what anyone that's not on my train or makes me feel bad of myself at 2019 you're out absolutely so don't with me whoa becca oh my god that was intense i think it is so rude to like because i i literally will not ask someone about a pregnancy they could be standing in front of me and be nine months pregnant and unless they've told me you can't unless they've told me they're pregnant i'm like cool we all we all just live in our lives yeah no you shouldn't if i'm at the baby shower i'll ask you about it right leave me in my uterus alone stop shaming me for not having children at this point in my 30s i'm only 31 i have lots of time who's next jack want
Starting point is 00:05:05 to go i'll go my good week bad week is also in one because i can't figure out if this is a good or a bad week so one of our girls posted this post and it says finish this sentence one time during sex dot dot dot and the responses that we got on this post were amazing yes i'm going to read a couple of them okay oh god okay one of them was one time during 69 the guy farted really loudly at the same time he came we were 16 poor guy i could not stop laughing that is so gross um one time i was having car sex in a parking lot and we got interrupted by the police who told us you're too old for this go home that would be one time during sex when the guy was coming he just screamed over and over really fast then when he finished and was going to pull out he goes
Starting point is 00:05:53 three two one blast off i didn't want to but i had to have sex with him when we were sober just to make sure it wasn't a fluke it wasn't he did it again what one time during sex it was halloween and she met a batman she took him back this is her friend obviously she took him back to her room and he insisted he keep the mask on for sex she said no but he continued to talk in the batman voice as soon as he finished he said gotham calls and left no you're kidding this is the worst one One time during sex, he asked if I was ready for that white hot liquid. No. Are you for real?
Starting point is 00:06:30 One time during sex, I directly quoted Harry Potter and killed the mood. I would do that. What was the quote? I don't know. That's just what one of the girls said. One time during sex with my now husband, he was going down on me, ass in the air, and my dog licked his ass. They're so good. They're all so good.
Starting point is 00:06:46 I think Orly's gotten close to genitalia during intercourse. Yours or Zach's? I think Zach's. It really made him feel weird. Like a lick? I think she just got very close to his balls. She just, like, wanted to be involved? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:00 And, like, you know, she wanted to get up in there. Ugh. As a dog does. Disgusting. I mean. I don't have good week, bad week. You don't? I think you need to.
Starting point is 00:07:09 You can't just give up. It's 2019. This is a new year. You don't have anything? No. How is that possible, Becca? We're almost at 200 episodes. Mine was also a stretch, too.
Starting point is 00:07:19 i combined it into one and it was not you guys don't give up on the podcast i can't i love you i can't think of it i was blacked out most of it this week you were yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah whatever it's fine no it's not what day is this airing this is airing right in the new year like what date new year's i think it's january 1st oh my god this is the worst episode ever we're not starting on the dogs packet i'm sorry this is literally airing on new year's day becca is starting 2019 off with a real bang you guys she knew we were doing this today not one thing written down no i can't remember i'm very sorry world it's only gonna get better from here i really feel like we'll live do you think we'll survive i think we will should we talk about well
Starting point is 00:08:11 Well, my bad week was probably today when I came in early to get a bunch of work done to really kick off my new year, like really get my – because I procrastinate a lot of things. And I was like, oh, I'm going to get these two things done. Then I get to Kelty's office and CBS is like Fort Knox and they change their Wi-Fi password every seven days. So I can't get on the Wi-Fi. Kelty's in the middle of shooting. I have to sit in her office by myself just thinking about all the work that I need to get done without having
Starting point is 00:08:40 the Wi-Fi to be on and I don't even know the Wi-Fi and I was texting Kelty and she was sending me like incoherent I'm closing this door she's kicking the dogs out they are feisty in 2019 what's cute though is that Callie has a toy and like they're stealing it from each other
Starting point is 00:08:57 but but Callie like takes it and puts it right up on Orly's face like you want this you want this bitch she does anyway okay That's a bad week. That's a bad week. My good week is feeling really good about this year. That's all.
Starting point is 00:09:10 I think we're going to kick some ass. I did make a list last year of the things I wanted to have accomplished. And how'd it go? Pretty good. I mean, most of it was like stupid things. Not as stupid as yours, Kelty. Like grow mermaid hair. But it was small things.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Your face. I mean, Zach and I definitely did a lot of things. Like financially as a couple. We had a lot of financial goals last year. We had to, like, pay off some debt because, like, you know, he took a job that he had zero salary for about a year. And so, yeah, I'm just getting very real here. We paid off a lot of debt in 2018. Get it, girl.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Pay off that debt. Brutal. You should be a part of the Lady Gang Gets Out of Debt Facebook group. I know. I can't go back there, though. It's a sad place. Can't go back to debt. Don't go back to debt.
Starting point is 00:09:57 I mean, I don't think I possibly could unless Zach just dropped dead. Yeah. Okay. All right. When we come back, it's time to wrap up 2018 with a bow. We're going to allegedly what's happening, the top stories of 2018. Remember when we did this in the summer and you were like, it's too soon. It was like September.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Now it is officially time for us to talk about our favorite stories of the year when we come back. Okay, what's going on now? Here's the lady gang. Okay, we're back. First of all, I have titled this and gone through all of my favorite big, big, big things. I want you guys to get pumped. I'm psyched. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Harry and Meghan got married and had a baby. Have a baby. A baby coming. It's so exciting. Going to the royal wedding was one of the highest. You didn't go to the royal wedding. You were outside of the royal wedding. Being outside the royal wedding for eight hours waiting for Meghan to drive by in her carriage was a thrill.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Honestly, their whole courtship has been a letdown from the dress to her hair at every event since then. I know. Her hair and makeup. Okay, it's not even just her. Let me just take this back. Why can the Royals not get, like, chic stylists to dress them to do their hair and their makeup? Their hair and their makeup, Kate and Meghan. I'm like, it's literally what somebody would give me at the blow-dry bar and also if I just walked into a Sephora and asked for a face of makeup.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Like, granted, it's fine. It's doable, but you're royalty. But do you think they do that on purpose? Like, do you think they kind of – they don't want to make them too – They want to go Kardashian, but it's too much? Yeah. But there's a balance between Kardashian and what they're doing. Well, I also think it's funny because I see all these posts about the, like, ooh, Kate's gotten Botox and filler.
Starting point is 00:11:53 It's like, whatever. It's like, so people are outraged if they do these modern things to make them, you know, what everybody else is doing. Do you think it's because the hemlines are so long that it's like everything looks a little dowed? No, because they can wear midi dresses and they both look great in those silhouettes. It's just really bad what they're choosing. And, like, the hair and makeup is really what upsets me the most. I know. Kate has the same hair I have for E.T., where they curl it all the way to the bottom.
Starting point is 00:12:23 And also, like, she had, like, Kate had a flat iron wave. Yeah. Oh, she had, like, a cool girl wave. Or even just a chic blowout. Like, give them clean, chic blowouts. Yeah, even if she had, like, the Becca haircut or something like that. Something. Like, why does she have Kate?
Starting point is 00:12:40 They must have something on them where they're just like, do you think every single outfit and every look, they have to go through whoever the gatekeeper is? I don't know. Do you think the queen approves it? Probably, because Kate had an updo the other day that literally looked like a croissant on her head. It was the worst thing ever, and they're beautiful girls. So I'm just, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:12:59 That's why I can't get behind the royals. There is no glamour. I know. There is really no glamour. It's dowdy. Right. Okay. Next.
Starting point is 00:13:07 I would be breaking rules. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux split up this year. They are Theroux. They are Theroux. Oh, Theroux. Justin Theroux is hot in person, you guys. He doesn't photograph as well. He's hot.
Starting point is 00:13:19 I can see why she got married to him. Question, why did they break up, did they say? They never said, but Jen's just like, when it's not working, it's not working, and there doesn't have to be anything bad that happens. And I was like, okay, well, people don't break up when nothing bad happens. No. That means something dope happened. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:34 I don't know. I think Jen just feels like, meh. She's over it. I think that if you don't want to have children, then you don't feel the urge to, like, hang on to that person for dear life for the rest of your life. See, I envy that mindset a little bit because there is no, like, your clock isn't ticking in a way where it's, like, you have to find it and you have to, like, you're thinking about this timeline. And if you're a little bit behind, it's, like, so anxiety-ridden. It's probably very liberating. Yeah, to just be able to, like, one of my girlfriends is, like, in her older 30s and she doesn't care about any of that, is single, and is just dating casually and is f***ing chill.
Starting point is 00:14:13 I'm like, that must be so nice to not have to worry about it. Do you think Jennifer Aniston knows that she's too good for, like, all the men on the planet? Like, who's Jen Aniston going to date? You know what I mean? I mean, J-Lo found a man. That's true. Finally. That really was on her level.
Starting point is 00:14:29 And I'm pretty sure Jen Aniston still smokes cigarettes. That's true. I'm reading the Obama book aren't I disgusting and I'm like she's not too good for everyone she still smokes cigarettes
Starting point is 00:14:40 no no it just means she's human is she nice have you met her in real life yeah she's really sweet and her hair is so beautiful and her skin is amazing she really is kind of dreamy
Starting point is 00:14:48 like I have a crush on her I can see why people she's beautiful I can see why she has what do you call it like surpassed the fame of friends because like most people
Starting point is 00:14:56 that are on that kind of show that's like such a hit and then they fade off to obscurity and then go on Dancing with the Stars and she's still like such a powerful
Starting point is 00:15:03 She was so good. Did you guys see Dumplin'? No, I can't wait to watch it. She's dreamy. She's such a good actress. She always gets talked about for her hair, but crafting is good, too. Okay, next. Channing and Jenna, Splitsville.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Oof. Mm. Mm? Mm. My thoughts, really. Yeah, I mean... It was time. They'd been together a long time.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Since they, like, had old, different faces. Yeah. I mean, it's a long time to be together before fame like 10 years. Yeah. But like they were together before they were. This is also going to sound terrible. This is just everyone judge me. I know I deserve it.
Starting point is 00:15:42 But here's what I say. I always predict a divorce when a couple is married, has one child who gets to that age where it's like great if they're having one child and that's one child, that's great, whatever. But most of the time, that child gets to be like six or seven and they haven't done it again together. Usually. What were they trying?
Starting point is 00:16:05 There's a break. Well, no. Well, see, maybe they just, maybe they wanted just the one child. Like, there's nothing wrong with that. Or they couldn't have another kid. Or that. But I doubt it. I mean.
Starting point is 00:16:14 We're in Hollywood. We're rich. I mean. You can have another kid if you want another kid. Well, that's true. They could have adopted. Yeah. But like the fact that they stopped making babies, there's another couple that did this
Starting point is 00:16:23 And I'm actually just kind of waiting for it to happen so that I can say, I told you. But I just always notice that. I feel like it's hard for... Because rich people hate having just one child. Rich people love having like a caravan. Because you have a nanny and you don't have to... It's easy. Because you don't really have to be a parent.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Not easy, but easier. Yeah, you can pick and choose what you want to do. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Were they both not famous when they started dating? Yes. They were equally... They were equally not famous.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Equally nothing. they were both just dancers that's gonna be a really hard thing to both like rise together and then like break up change together yeah because you're not gonna change together they went from the step-up movie franchise to like the carpet at the oscars because there was a minute when channing was like the hottest guy in hollywood when he was doing all those um catch 22 or i know uh 21 drum street yeah no the like serious ones like the oh the coen brothers wasn't He was in like a Coen Brothers movie. Yeah, but that bombed.
Starting point is 00:17:23 Was he? He tap danced. Wait, I thought he was in like one of those like chick flick ones. He's always in a chick flick. He was always in that. But like I think he thought that was going to be like his Oscar moment. Yeah, Oscar moment. The best thing about award season this year is all the regular people who kind of – you can tell the actors that do projects because they want to be in the Oscar race.
Starting point is 00:17:41 But like a lot of them that went in for those kind of projects this year are not getting nominated. And it's like – I can't tell you out loud. But anyway, it's kind of nice because I did all the lead up to award season where everyone was like, oh, I don't even think about the awards when I sign on for a project. Bullshit. Yeah, that's all they think about. Your agent sends you the script and goes, this is your Oscar. Like, right? Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:18:03 A hundred percent. What a weird world. So they're like, I don't even think about that. I just loved the script and it really spoke to me. It just resonated with me. Go f*** yourself. Anyway, it's kind of really nice when that didn't happen. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Roseanne. It's nice to watch people. Roseanne got kicked off Roseanne. Yeah. Yeah. It was a big one. I mean, there was a lot of come to Jesus moments for our celebrities this year. So many.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Yeah. Do you think the tides are going to change? Like, we live in this super PC world where anyone can get offended by anything at any time. Yeah, but what she did was so extreme that it's like not even. Yeah, that's not like a PC thing. No, I think that the sensitivity, not with her, but with other things, it might calm down. But I don't think that you're ever going to be able to get away with that sort of rhetoric. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:47 And you shouldn't be able to. No. Like, that was f***ed up. Like, beyond. Yeah. As much as, like, the tweeting with Kevin Hart and, like, the Oscars, there's so much controversy. There was so much controversy.
Starting point is 00:19:00 I do think it's nice that you're being held accountable for things that you say always. Granted, things have changed and things that were PC back when they, whatever. But I do think that it is a nice thing to be like, you can't just say whatever the f*** you're feeling. Yeah, with no repercussions. It's true. Because you're a celebrity. And then if you say something and it hurts people's feelings or whatever, you can always
Starting point is 00:19:21 be like, no, I don't think there's anyone on the planet that says things just to piss people off. No. You know what I mean? I think it's to shock. Well, Jack. It's to shock people. Shock people, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:30 It's not to piss off. It's to shock. Also, blaming Ambien on your racist comment is not really how it works. But okay. Okay. Michelle Williams, actress, earned a small fraction of what Mark Wahlberg was paid for their All the Money in the World reshoots. Remember this?
Starting point is 00:19:45 on January 9th of last year this was one of the big stories that kicked off 2018. We already discussed this on The Leaguing I think we discussed most of these I know but this is the year it might change differently Contractually they had completely different. She made $80 a day and he got $1.5 million. She made $80
Starting point is 00:20:01 a day? Yep. For a 10 day reshoot $80 But prior to the reshoot the way that they were contracted was different Right. So their agents f***ed up. Yeah It's not Mark Wahlberg's fault.
Starting point is 00:20:17 No. But weren't they trying to pin it on Mark Wahlberg? Yes. Of course they were. Of course they were. Well, agents aren't going to blame themselves. I hate agents. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Do you want to say anything nice about Anthony? Anthony who? Bourdain. I love Anthony Bourdain. It was hard for you. It was. I thought he was like one of the most amazing trailblazers of his generation. He was such a wonderful human.
Starting point is 00:20:39 And I think it really – that whole situation brought so much light onto depression. because it was like he was depressed like despite of having the most incredible life and having everything that he could have ever wanted and experiencing humanity in such a wonderful way and such a deep way and like stall i mean it's really i don't know but i do think sometimes when you are depressed and you go out and you see the world like it's almost better to be myopic in those moments because it gets very overwhelming and you do sort of realize when you travel like that that you are just like a little speck on the planet it's like very existential it's very existential so i do think that in a way that is also like he did have the greatest life
Starting point is 00:21:22 to so many people or like the greatest opportunity but like for i know for me personally i would not do well in that lifestyle well it's like he was also experiencing so many people it wasn't like he was saying ritz everywhere he went it's like he was experiencing like the it's lonely too the the depths of it too yeah and it's lonely for sure i read that article and he was an interview that had come out after he passed away and he had said you know like doing this show is like very lonely i could really relate to that because i'm alone a lot by choice because i'm not like a social person but just being like you know you're in the car and then you're at the airport alone and then you're in the plane alone and then you're in another car alone and you get to a hotel and
Starting point is 00:22:05 you're alone and even when you're working with people or surrounded or have a call time the next morning it's like there's just something very and i think that's why rock stars and people that go out and do this kind of life and are on tour and stuff they have so many problems with like codependency and drugs because you kind of get by yourself and then you get kind of sad and there's like a lot of weird time zones and i don't know i think a lot yeah and a lot of it's too it's like even if you have those intense connections it's like they are so fleeting and it's like they're taken away from you so there's no like substantial not substance but stability within that like at all it's hard i had that when i went to rwanda this summer because i was
Starting point is 00:22:41 like usually when i go on these big trips and go out into nature and experience things i come back feeling really inspired and like oh the world is so great but when i came back from rwanda i was so depressed because i was like earth and the world is just like so unfair and like we're such assholes the shit that we think is important and these people are living in mud huts without running water like i just felt so guilty for my existence and i felt so sad that like people in the world have to live like it was just awful it was like so horrible and so i can imagine he went to like a lot of those faraway places like that and i was like well anyway okay but we're probably the most unhappy society so who's laughing no it is true no it is true it's like getting worse
Starting point is 00:23:27 it is getting it was crazy in rwanda they were talking about the genocide which happened like only in the 90s a million people died it was so horrible and then i was talking to like my taxi driver and he was like i was like how do people move forward because there's still people that are alive that went through that and he goes oh well when you choose to forgive someone you just forgive them and like you can't move forward unless you just forgive and we can all be happy and i was like that's what that entire place believes and it has like they that's what they do we can't forgive things that happened 50 years ago like it's crazy anyway well there's a whole like thing about the holocaust survivors it's the same thing they were like there's the group of
Starting point is 00:24:01 people that decided to live afterwards and the group of people that didn't even though they were alive right i love that let's decide to live this year i mean i'm trying 2019 we're gonna live i need alcohol to live okay richard gear who is 68 years old secretly married his girlfriend alejandra silva who's 35 what happened to calista flockhart what is he is richard gear calista flockhart's boyfriend i don't know who's her boyfriend i don't know guys google it but richard gear is with his girlfriend alejandra she's 35 jack would you date a 68 year old man no that's a harrison ford oh yeah yeah that's an old ball can you imagine that ball i mean i i've tried to date like 15 years older and i feel like i'm dating my grandpa yeah like it is you're not
Starting point is 00:24:51 going to be someone that ends up with an older guy no i need somebody that's what i really realized dating older it's like i really do need somebody that like understands my jokes i can send memes to that they'll like get then they'll think it's funny like the most important thing when i'm looking for a date is do you get my memes do you understand my name and just another reason why jack 2019 is the year you're gonna have a real relationship though although i did read your horoscope and it wasn't in there but we'll talk about that what okay kanye west he revealed that he became addicted to opioids after having liposuction first of all i didn't hear this is this recent it's new i mean it's not recent this is like this happened in 2018 but he had
Starting point is 00:25:33 lipo i guess a couple years ago and then he got addicted to opioids from the liposuction easy thing to have happen i just didn't realize that kanye just didn't seem like a liposuction kind of guy you get liposuction do men get liposuction i guess i guess when you're that rich and you don't like a lot i know a lot of like actor men that do it really yeah to get like the six pack or just to get the little side pops. Well, now it's like with lipo, the technology on it is so crazy that you can like contour abs and shit with it.
Starting point is 00:26:02 I saw a girl on Botched who literally had her abdomen sculpted like a Kardashian. It's insane. Like you do not, if you have enough money, you don't have to work out anymore or diet. You can just get it sucked right out. Would that be our goal for 2019?
Starting point is 00:26:14 To make enough money so that we can just get a new body? I like my body. I like my body. I mean, I don't care about my body to be honest. Yeah. I'd rather have better hair. I don't wear bathing suits and I just don't wear clothing that shows it off.
Starting point is 00:26:27 I'm over like a – yeah. I think 2019 is a one-piece year for me for sure. Yeah. I went to Hawaii and wore that bikini and then I was like – I'm never – I really would like to be able to bring back the swimming costume. With like a hat and a long skirt. I'm going to try it. I'm going to Hawaii actually this year and I'm going to do that.
Starting point is 00:26:49 I have a feeling that that could make a comeback. I know. Just in general because it's so against the grain. Yeah. Maybe I will. Have you seen those like swimsuits that are one piece with like the long sleeves that are – Yeah, but I want to cover – Isn't that just like a rash guard?
Starting point is 00:27:05 Yeah. Yeah. But I want to cover like my lower body. To your knees. Yeah. So it's like a unitard. Yeah, like a wetsuit. Just buy like those like zip-up onesies on Amazon that you can like zip it all the way to your face.
Starting point is 00:27:17 That's what I need at the beach. And just cover up your face and then just have sunglasses. I can't wait till we go on a beach vacation and we call the paparazzi on ourselves. Never. Absolutely not. Never. Do we cuddle each other in a romantic embrace at sunset? All I want to see is my fucking cellulite in a paparazzi photo.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Oh, my God. Never. Pass. No, you're going to be in a maxi skirt with no shoes on, holding your sandals, walking at sunset with a glass of wine. We're fine. That's amazing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:42 I'll tell you again. I want to do that now. John Cena and Nikki Bella split for good. Jack? There was a really weird clip. This is probably aired by this episode on Total Bellas of Nikki Bella going out with one of the dudes from The Bachelor. Yeah, I know. What happened?
Starting point is 00:28:01 I don't know. This is the oddest pairing. Nikki, Nikki, Nikki, Nikki, Nikki. Aim higher. Aim so high. You're so hot. I know all the rich nerds in the world love what you do. She needs to date like a tech guy.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Tech guy. tech guy like what's his name from snapchat snapchat the the bachelor is just and it's ruining our lives it's ruining society and he wasn't even like the worst thing to have peter yeah he wasn't even he wasn't even a good bachelor character he was fine but like he doesn't have a job yeah nikki i've seen your closet just because you have all those shoes doesn't mean you don't need to get more shoes so aim higher i wouldn't even do that guy ari and lauren are getting married on tv and guess who's officiating chris harrison obviously on tv i don't know if it's on tv but i it will definitely be on tv i can't imagine chris harrison is going to officiate
Starting point is 00:28:56 if it's not on tv he's not working for free honey he's not coming to your wedding for free i feel like he would i feel like he seems like even ari i feel like chris harrison is going to get revolted because this is like the anti-wedding no they're nobody's happy for you they're the worst if they did air it it would have like no views but i feel like they would because people will still watch a wedding why do people hate them well he was it he was a douchebag and he picked somebody else but someone else did that remember yeah and they got married too they're still together and they have kids but he was more likable than ari was ari he's cringy and weird and then he did the ultimate like boy thing where he picked the girl and then after the show was basically over then went back yeah
Starting point is 00:29:38 we made him like he proposed to the girl and they were like we're together they probably gave him an extra million dollars to do that honestly they probably did because the ratings were so 100 he was kind of boring but he kissed everyone it was like h well apparently hb what do you have to take when you have herpes valtrex valtrex it was like valtrex season do you know that when you're on the bachelor they do kiss everybody that's what every bachelor i know but he was extra do you know that when i was on the bachelor they give everyone valtrex no matter if you have cold source like you go do they have to i'm probably like gonna get sued for saying this But like in the three days before the first get out of the limo, they hole you up in this hotel with no TV and you just sit there and go crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:17 It's like such a weird thing. Anyway, and then they take you up and you get like a psych evaluation and then they do STD checks. They must. Did you do a blood test? I think you did do a blood test. They probably did. They've got to. Anyway, I remember seeing the doctor and then them being like, oh, and here's your and I was like, I don't I never have gotten a cold sore in my life.
Starting point is 00:30:39 And they're like, nope, everyone has to take it. They're like, you're about to. Yeah. And you have to take it. They give you like the pills once a day like you're in like a weird thing. Yeah. And also you're not allowed to have like any books or magazines. So weird.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Yeah, because they want to make you go nuts. Yeah, it's wild. It's all – it's such a good social experiment. So wild. Anyway. Okay, next. David Foster is engaged to Kat McPhee, 68, 34. I love all of their like Instagram banter when they call her mom.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Me too. With Sarah and Aaron. Sarah and Aaron. I know it's so funny because it's so weird if I were them I'd just be so mad because like all I could think about is money like if my dad kept getting remarried I'd be like stop giving away my inheritance yeah I know but he's so rich but still he's been married like five times would you need to get married it's really making the well shallow and I would just I mean listen I have nothing against probably signs like a rock hard I wonder if they do but I don't think that
Starting point is 00:31:38 they do because i i've heard that his ex-wives keep all the houses and that's like millions of dollars in real estate and after that many divorces like as why would you even get married i know i wouldn't want to get like what's like literally what's the maybe she wants kids she did kind of when i asked her about it in an interview at some point they were like oh we're just like enjoying being together so i kind of feel like this could be like we're engaged so you know we're serious and stop making fun of us but like we're never gonna get married i feel like she's gonna want kids though i think she's gonna have his kids more kids yeah he's got a lot of kids is he the dad of gg and bella no no they're because yolanda foster indeed wait oh god can we
Starting point is 00:32:17 make a flow chart very confusing yeah i didn't even realize that connection 2018 the year of hayley bieber mazel tov girl get your bank account do you think they signed a prenup i don't think so did they i'm sure of course i thought that they didn't oh was that did i just make you believe everything you read i guarantee i mean his whole team was like do whatever braun was not like but sign a sign yeah i mean even so she's gonna be so sad yeah i saw her rings when i was on drop the mic i saw her ring in person and i thought it was fake it's so big no yeah it's huge does she have a skinny finger yeah like it's like extra big yeah damn it it looks like a cocktail ring i'm like jeez you know where they go you know where they go all the time or jones on fifth yeah
Starting point is 00:33:07 et sends someone over there to eat lunch every day just because they come in all the time really yeah they they must live up here in the hill somewhere yeah they're always there do we think that they never had sex before they got married is that why i think so really because they're sort of like into the religious. Well, he was like a born again Christian. I mean, I don't know if he was born again, but like he was super Christian. He was like Nick Jonas, how he was like celibate. Do you think that
Starting point is 00:33:32 when he's like making out with her, he's like, baby, baby, baby. I hope so. I want some new Justin Bieber music. I do too. His last record was amazing. I love the Biebs. Remember how good Sorry was? Yeah. That song was incredible.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Drop top, baby, it's a no brainer. I hate to say this too, but I really liked Nick Jonas' last album. I know, it's good. He's very talented. Yeah. Orly needs to shut her mouth. What is Orly doing?
Starting point is 00:34:00 It's because when we don't shut the curtain, she sees everyone walking by the office. She loves it so much. Okay, I'll go shut the curtain. Read the next headline, Jack. Here it is.
Starting point is 00:34:09 It's the last one on the page. I can't read it. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce got messy in 2018. Really, period, messy. Really messy. I don't know anything about their divorce i had heard i feel like i just hear so many rumors that i don't know what's
Starting point is 00:34:27 true about brad and angelina so you're bringing them in here no oh my god jesus oh my god we can never have children you guys how are we going to do lady gang if you have a kid i we can't we can't you're gonna have to quit probably it's our baby gang no i don't still have to do this when i i'm just kidding no angelina brad remember allegedly he was on the private plane yeah and like it was like nasty and weird and then with the kids and then they they've had the messiest divorce but you know what serves them right what happens to their wine is my question what do you mean a wine he's sober now miraval miraval is theirs yes yeah no yes it's like one of the best rosés on the market it's true oh well they probably split that that's all like contractual i think he still has
Starting point is 00:35:13 the plan b production company with jennifer aniston do you think brad ever tried to get back with jen wouldn't that be just like what everybody needs is it too late now to say sorry i think jen feels the way about brad pitt the same way that jack feels about her ex but can you really think brad pitt is disgusting no he's probably looking so good these days too oh i thought you meant when she said he was missing a chip oh did she say that yes no it was a sensitivity chip because you know that he probably is a psychopath and that was like the nicest way allegedly i think i think but that's the nicest way of putting like somebody doesn't have any empathy and is like well he cheated on his wife during a movie and then when they
Starting point is 00:35:57 were promoting the movie did that like big vanity fair spread where they were like homemakers together right that would have killed me you're like grieving your marriage and then you have to look at and it was like news everywhere and it was angelina's hottest time i was just gonna say she was the hottest worst case scenario worst case like could who was hotter than her
Starting point is 00:36:18 at that moment at that well yeah that was it but I knew they weren't gonna last when she had the wedding dress with her children's
Starting point is 00:36:25 drawings on it that was a long time ago wasn't it yes but like to me that was like they lasted a long time I know I was gonna say
Starting point is 00:36:32 they did last a long time but then when they they were like we're never getting married we're just having all these kids and they were so happy and then they had a wedding and she had the children's drawings
Starting point is 00:36:41 all over the Valentino wedding dress And I was like, something is astray here. I also read that they had a family bed where it was just like a whole giant room. Like a shack-sized bed? Yes. For all of them to sleep together? For the whole family. Sounds very cult-y to me.
Starting point is 00:36:55 I just – I can't get behind a marriage that lets seven children sleep in the bed with them. Like grown children. A lot more grown children are sleeping with their parents than you think though. I know. I have a lot of friends and I'm like, what? They're like, yeah, my kid that's like in fifth grade comes in and sleeps with us. And I'm like, huh? Not okay.
Starting point is 00:37:12 So you're not going to raise your children as a cast sleeper? No. Not okay for me. I mean, I'm not saying it's not okay in society. I'm just saying it's not okay for me. It's not for you. Go to your room. A 10-pound dog makes me sleep worse in my bed.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Okay. I have two more for you guys. Jeffrey Owens, the greatest story of all time. He's working at Trader Joe's. You know he was on The Cosby Show. Do you know the story at all? I don't think so. Jeffrey Owens is this guy.
Starting point is 00:37:37 He was the boyfriend on The Cosby Show and was in that show. And then remember all this stuff went down with Bill Cosby and then they took Cosby's show off the air. So his residuals from that show went away and someone saw him working the checkout at a Trader Joe's and was like making fun of him on Instagram and it went viral. And then all of a sudden he wrote back and was like, hey, you do what you have to do. And then everyone was like, yeah, you do what you have to do. And then Tyler Perry put him in a movie. And then Tyler Perry put him in a movie. And he's back in Hollywood and he was like, but I will never be above it.
Starting point is 00:38:12 And Nicki Minaj gave him $20,000. Oh. Yeah. So he is like – When was that? How did I miss that? This just happened. Oh.
Starting point is 00:38:19 In 2018. Oh. Well, last week. This is the year wrap-up. It was like in the fall. That is so sweet. That is like the sweetest story I've ever heard. People were making fun of him and then he was like, you do what you have to do to provide
Starting point is 00:38:30 for your family. Oh, so sweet. What a guy. What a guy. So wait. So because they pulled the show off the air, he just wasn't making any money from the Yeah, because that was like his kind of – You can live off of that.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Yeah. No, I'm sure. Yeah. And they're probably playing that like all day on PBS. That's what he said. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:38:46 So. Oh, the poor guy. But that's great. I feel like that's really good karma because it's like he didn't do anything wrong. It makes me want to go work in a Starbucks and get spotted. I think it would be great for your career. People would really get behind you, you know? Just kidding.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Should we try it for a day and see what happens? No. No. Do you think anyone would recognize you? I would be a horrible Starbucks barista. I can barely make coffee. Yeah. I'd get fired.
Starting point is 00:39:09 But you'd look cute. I would get health care, too. Don't you get health care if you work at Starbucks, too? I think it's like a pretty good job. Okay, last. Joe Giudice. Giudice. Giudice.
Starting point is 00:39:20 He's getting cut out of the country. Deported? Yeah, deported. Cut out of the country. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star. He's in jail right now. I meant to ask you something. This is off topic, kind of.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Do you have a – now that you're married, you are a citizen. No. I have a green card. I never became a citizen of the United States. Cue everyone yelling and writing mean things on the internet about me. Why aren't you? Oh, gosh. Well, there was many reasons.
Starting point is 00:39:45 First of all, in Canada, I believe they do not recognize – or in the U.S., one of the two, they do not recognize a dual citizen. I think it's Canada. Yeah. So you have to like give up your Canadian citizen to become an American citizen. And to me, I always felt like there's definitely an atomic bomb in our lifetime and there's probably going to be a time – That means we're all gone though. Canada is not safe. We share borders.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Yeah, but... Also, you're not going to know when that happens. Yeah, it's true. You're not going to give the Canadians a heads up. You'll be living in L.A. True. I just think that sometimes America gets itself in some trouble and there might be a possibility that I'll want to retire or go back to Canada at one point. So what a great marriage I have.
Starting point is 00:40:32 One American, one Canadian. We can go to both. I can take him up or he can pull me down. And right now we're pulled down. Sounds like a metaphor. Like the thing is that we could go to British Columbia and get a house for like $60,000 and retire and whale watch every day. How do I know that's not my future?
Starting point is 00:40:50 Honestly, first of all, $60,000 is not really realistic. But when I shot in Victoria. Yeah. You were like, I got to be here. It's expensive there. Well, that's because it's a good city. But I was like, I 100% could live here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:05 It's beautiful. Beautiful. Yes. So that's why I never got my CIS. And also you have to take a big test. I'm very busy with my career right now. I don't have time to take the test. I wish I had citizenship somewhere other than this shitty country.
Starting point is 00:41:17 I feel a little bit like I would like to learn Spanish before I become a citizen because I feel like that's like another language. And it's been on my – I don't know. I'm so confused. Okay. Anyway. Spanish is another language. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I mean I could and people do it.
Starting point is 00:41:33 Because we're going to need to come like seek refuge. Don't you guys want to come into my bunker? Yeah. Canada? In Alberta? Sure do. My bunker. Okay, well, that's the end of the show. It is 2019. We're crushing it.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Do you want to wrap up in general how you felt about this year? No. It was a tough one. I thought you were asking our listeners. No, I was actually asking the hosts of the show, but if you guys... It had some high highs and some low lows.
Starting point is 00:42:03 We worked our butts off. We did work our butts off. And we crossed a couple goals off of your list, I'm sure. We did. We 100% did. There's only – well, there's only a couple things on my list that I didn't get to this year. I didn't eat something green every day. I did not –
Starting point is 00:42:18 Shocker. I did not read 100 books. I did not become a New York Times bestselling author. Maybe next year. 100 books is unrealistic. That's a book every three days. But not – okay. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Do you skim books? Yes. Probably. No, but I read a lot of – Are you like a speed reader but like you can't retain the thing you're reading? I read every night for at least half an hour though, you guys. So it's not really that like crazy. So that's like what?
Starting point is 00:42:42 Like 60 pages? 50, 60 pages? Whatever, you know. For me, that's like six pages. Okay. But anyway, I read really meaty books this year. I read Shantaram. I read The Mountain Shadows.
Starting point is 00:42:52 No, let's not do this. Let's just post this. Okay. Anyway. And then – Proud of you. Okay. On the last thing I didn't do was I didn't make my signature – I didn't make my own
Starting point is 00:43:02 signature segment on Entertainment Tonight. that was on my goal but I couldn't think of anything good so hopefully in 2019 I can think of like dang the Celt night segment
Starting point is 00:43:10 what if you do like night bites and it's like late night food that's cute no it's not a show about food entertainment tonight
Starting point is 00:43:16 oh not entertainment because Cam Matheson had Can Cam and he went around with celebrities and did like wild things like race cars with Josh Duhamel
