Starting point is 00:00:00 Quick question. Why have men had a pill for their sex drive since 1998 and women don't? Oh, wait, we do. It exists. Almost nobody knows about it. And there's an entire documentary about why. It's called The Pink Pill. It's on Paramount Plus and Amazon Prime and it will make you insane. So watch it. Then come to our party, September 29th. We're going live in our pink pajamas with Cindy Eckert, the woman who made that pill to talk about all of it. RSVP inside the Facebook group because tickets for the stream are already sold out. It's time for a quickie. Podcast One presents The Lady Gang, the Hollywood Girl Posse with Lady Gang Quicky. Here's Kelty Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jack Vanek. Let's make this quick. Hello, hello, welcome to the Lady Gang Quicky. I am back in here with Jack and Kelty.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Here we are. Kelty, Harry Potter glasses. I got new. Another pair of new glasses. Well, I'm doing a very dumb thing, guys. What? I've been so busy this summer doing nothing. Now I'm very busy, and I need to get my new prescription in a pair of glasses.
Starting point is 00:01:07 So, but I don't want, do, many years ago when I got my glasses the first time, remember I got ripped off by the guy who's so pushy at the doctors? You know, when you come out of the eye appointment, they're like, do you want to look at frames? I was like, sure. And I looked at frames. And it was like, $400 Gucci frames only. And I'm like, and then I got pushed into it. And I walked out. I'm like, no, so I started buying frames online and getting them to put my prescription in,
Starting point is 00:01:29 but I'm buying them sight on scene. Like, I'm not even trying them on. Like, go down the street to Warby Parker, Kelsey. I mean, Warby Parker has such cute glasses. They really do. I know. I know on Instagram just posted the cutest glasses. I need to go and stop.
Starting point is 00:01:42 But anyway, I wanted a round pair. I will also say at this point, the money that you have spent on glasses, you could have gotten LASIC like 15 times. I can't get LASIC because I have a bifocal. Oh. Yeah, I need it for far and close. Wait, no, I did. And I got Lysick for that. You did? You had bifocals? No, but I'm nearsighted and long-sided. We don't have to talk about this now, but you should look into it. I would love that because I'm really annoyed at my eyeballs. Yeah. And I've also been hearing that we're really close to having those eye drops that just fix our vision. So just stick it out for a little longer. Okay. I will. Someone said, this might just be a lore of the internet, but someone said that there's all these doctors who perform LASIC, but none of them themselves have had it done. So that really is such a weird.
Starting point is 00:02:34 I have been on LASIC nightmare talk a few times where people, it's like ruined people's lives. Like it's made people go blind. Yeah. So, guys, it's like my friend who was about to get veneers. I'm a success story. Lysick changed my life. Like it really changed my life. Chris had it too. too and it changed his life. My friend is about to get veneers. And I was like, well, just no. And then I sent her a bunch of pictures of me with my front tooth missing and the little spike underneath.
Starting point is 00:03:03 And I was like, you can never go back. Nope. So I was saying the end of days like zombie apocalypse when nobody can get to the dentist. All the people who had veneers are going to have like no spikes. I want Chris to do what you did, though. Jack, you did the veneer bonding, right? No, mine are veneers.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Mine are real veneers. It was full veneers, yeah, but they were like minimal prep. I don't have spikes. I just have little flats. That's what I want him to do. But my question is, Chris has, like, very British teeth. It's, like, genetically. Like, his teeth are, they're very small, little, like, if he wasn't so handsome,
Starting point is 00:03:42 you'd be like, ooh, the teeth. I mean, he's beautiful, and I love his smile. But, like, he doesn't have great teeth. He knows he doesn't. No one in his family does. It's genetic. Is it going to look wakadoodle bananas if all of a sudden he's like, He just can't
Starting point is 00:03:55 He can't get one of those chicklet veneers It has to be like a little bit Like a little off white Not up but like a little bit Extra natural looking Than like what you or I have Right Not a Hollywood veneer
Starting point is 00:04:09 He should go to Canada Because I'm worried like there's so much I actually love it Like there's so much Character in his teeth But they're starting to like crack And like it's hard It's like you know
Starting point is 00:04:22 Yeah And he's doing, he's doing biz. And I want him to have like a perfect, not a perfect smile, but he would look so weird if he was all of a sudden like, AJ from like backstreet boys. And he's like, does he have veneers now? Yeah. Well, I feel like there's doctors now, dentists now that do a really good job of looking at your existing teeth and making veneers that are just an enhanced better version of your teeth. So that's what mine are. Because I kept being like, can I, I kept showing my dentist pictures of somebody else's mouth.
Starting point is 00:04:50 He's like, these teeth aren't yours. You can't have teeth that are twice the length of the ones that you have now. Like you have to kind of just do what you already have and go along with your teeth. But my dentist does really good natural ones. Like he's done a lot that are like less white and just kind of match the people's vibe. So it's out there. It's just probably, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Speaking of out there, today is weird news. This is something we used to do on the lady gang a lot. And I just saw a story come by Instagram. and I was like, wait, I need to talk to the girls about this. And then there were so many other things that it like led to. Like now I'm on like weird news talk. So I just want to start with something. This is insane.
Starting point is 00:05:35 I had no idea this was happening. Listen to this, guys. Harvard University. Did you hear about this, Jack? You have to explain more than that. Harvard University agrees to a 53 million dollar settlement over body. parts stolen and sold by former morgue manager. This is insane. Harvard Medical School says it agreed to pay $53 million to settle class action lawsuits by relatives of body donors whose remains were sold
Starting point is 00:06:12 on the black market. No, so this literally happens all the time. We might have actually done an episode of the first degree about this case or it was like a couple because we've done like body snatcher episodes but this happens all the time on the dark web you know the body exhibits in Vegas and like all over the place there is a lot of controversy with those because the way that they get those body parts is sometimes not entirely legal there is this one mother that is convinced that one of the bodies in there is her son like it's crazy and there is a huge market for body parts like that. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:06:52 So the remains were donated for research education. 47 relatives. Listen to this, you guys. So Harvard said it can't determine precisely which donors the guy stole. After he was charged, the school said it reviewed information from investigators, showing when donors remains were sent for cremation and when, blah, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, authority said that this guy was at the center of a ghoulish scheme in which he shipped brains, skin, hands, and faces from cadavers to buyers in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I also will say when you, like, you know how you can, like, donate your body to science? That does not mean that they're going to use your body to try to, like, cure cancer. They could literally shoot your body out of a cannon for the fun of it. Like, it does not matter. So I would just, like, tread lightly. If you like actually care what they're going to be doing with your body after you die. Yeah. Right, because you assume, okay, I'm going to, I'm a donor and I'm like, oh, they're going to go in and they're going to take my lungs and my heart and my intestines and they're going to go fix a baby with it.
Starting point is 00:08:02 But like, I don't want to be like, can we put people on Mars? I don't want to be that girl. I think you should. Or somebody could like buy your lungs and like keep them in a jar in their basement because they have like a fetish. I need to go back to the woman who thinks. son is at the body's exhibit. What about this is, what identifying thing is going on? So we had covered this on the first degree a couple years ago, but I will say it's my most viral
Starting point is 00:08:32 video that continues to make the rounds. I always am getting comments on it to this day, and I think we posted it like years ago. I don't remember what all the details were from it, but there is this like long story about how he somehow ended up there. He's like the muscle one. and it like, she's like it looks like him. That seems crazy. Google bodies, like when you're later, go on TikTok, do bodies exhibit in my name and it'll pop up. Mom spotted her son's body in horseshoe Las Vegas exhibit. Grieving mother identified her as belonging to her son who died in 2012.
Starting point is 00:09:09 What? Yeah. I mean, I guess this is actually a quite specific, like. Face. It has a face? I guess you would maybe. No, it looks like a person. Yeah, it does.
Starting point is 00:09:23 It's like, the body's example was so cool when it came out. And then like the more you think about it, it's kind of up. Dark. Yeah. It's really fucked up. Yeah. Anyways. Okay, well, that was super weird.
Starting point is 00:09:38 So this is a story that I, so then I went down the dark web, obviously. There's a man and he just got fined and went to jail. He was fined $270. because his hobby is dressing up. He's 26, idiot, funterlobe, not closed. His hobby is dressing up in a black hooded costume with like the stick and then going on the building opposite the North Wales Hospital. What?
Starting point is 00:10:08 And like walking back and forth so that when people look out the hospital window on the building next to them is the grim reaper. This is the most up thing I've ever heard. Why wouldn't you dress as an angel? He had such a good choice. I know. Like how sweet would that be? You know the black like thing?
Starting point is 00:10:28 That's disgusting. Oh. It's about to be Halloween again and you know how we feel about the bones in the yard. Yeah. You know how I feel. If you're constantly hitting a wall by the early afternoon, it's because your liver is trying to tell you something. It's always the liver. Your liver is your biggest internal organ.
Starting point is 00:10:47 It performs over 500 daily functions. Think digestion, bloating, steady energy production, and metabolism. So when you keep feeding it processed foods like I do, it starts to slow down. So let's talk about dose. Dose is a liquid supplement. Chris Knight and I both have the little shot glass in our fridge right now and we're taking it. You take it in this daily two ounce little shot. It tastes like orange juice.
Starting point is 00:11:08 It's honestly delicious. With zero sugar, it's plant powered. It basically gives you measurable results that you can see in your blood work and feel, which is the most important part in your day. daily life. So if you're ready to give your liver the support it deserves, head to dose daily. dot C-O-S-L-L-L-L-L-E-E-O-L-L-E-E-E-O-L-L-A-R-E-E-O-L-L-L-S subscription. Try it for three months and see how you feel. So you've been doing talk therapy for a while now. We are very proud of you, but baby, you need something more to work in conjunction with it.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Let's talk about talkiatry. They offer 100% online psychiatry practice. They provide services like comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses for conditions like ADHD, anxiety, depression, and more. Starting point is 00:12:54 Everyone talks about how challenging it is to raise kids, but what about protecting them? Outlet covers, kitchen cabinet locks, baby gates. I mean, where do you even start? Well, protecting your home and auto is a great place to start. Progressive offers customized coverage options so that you can be sure you have the right coverage for you and your loved ones. Starting point is 00:13:20 Progressive Casualty Insurance Co. Affiliates and other insurers not available in all states. The Lady Gang. I have a weird news. Yes. So have you guys heard of the butt sniffer in L.A.? No. The serious books? The serial butt sniffer.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Too soon. There's, wait. Did you say Chris Knight? Was he sniffing your butt? Sorry. Jokes. There is this guy. He's a serial butt sniffer in L.A.
Starting point is 00:13:50 And he has gotten arrested like 10 times for going into, not just any store, but we're talking Nordstrom Rack, a T.J. Max, like a Marshall's. Like the store that the gals like to go and just browse around and be little ladies in. He's smart. He's going in. sniffing butts and he's been arrested for it so many times and he just got arrested like two weeks ago for it. What do you mean sniffing butts? Like he just gets on his knees and you're looking through like this clearance rack and he's has his nose in your jeans? Yes. Does he make physical
Starting point is 00:14:22 contact or is it just getting the whiff? I think it's just the sniff. But like, but honestly, that's a good place to do it because as we've discussed in previous episodes, everyone's shitting their pants at Marshalls. It's true. Yeah. You know? It's like that's when you're having about move it. That's when you're getting a little gassy, when you're like, oh, I'll just finish this rack, and then I'll go to the back by the pots and pans and find that toilet code. Yeah, you're doing a little walkabout. Those are places where you don't feel guilty if you go in there post-workout, you know? There's like some clothing stores you're like, I would never dare. You dare to dress for the success. Right. This is a post-workout. Like, let me just swing by,
Starting point is 00:14:56 bop over and see what they've got. That's disgusting. Mm-hmm. So nasty. Okay. A 23-year-old Mexican National was arrested at Tokyo's airport August 8th after customs found 200 lizards stuffed inside of 22 pairs of socks in a suitcase, including endangered Mexican alligator lizards. Authorities had been tipped off that someone was bringing in lizards. This happens all the time. Yeah. Did you see the woman with the turtles in her bra?
Starting point is 00:15:26 Yes, that's what I was thinking of? Wait, no, what happened? She went through security, and in the X-ray machine, it just spotted two turtles in her bra. One on each titty. I mean, people got, people be smuggling. Reptiles are the grossest. But wait, so what do you mean? It's, they saw turtles.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Does it just come out? You know when you go through and then they see a yellow thing and they're like, got a wandu? So it was that? And they're like, they didn't know what it was. And they're like, what is that? I don't know. I mean, the turtles.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Like how did they reach down her? I need more information. How do they reach down a shirt and they're like, do you have turtles in your shirt? Like it was the, was the design on the thing turtle shaped? Like a pasty? It looks like turtle. I mean, it could be a fake. picture, but like it was a turtle, like, outline on her tities.
Starting point is 00:16:09 So crazy. That reminds me of when... Two live turtles. Wrapped in gauze and plastic wrap before stuffing them into her undergarments. One of the turtles did not survive. No. No shit. But where would I have died in that situation?
Starting point is 00:16:27 In the plastic, she can't breathe. You're right. When I went to the Dead Sea, when I went to Jordan, I was so excited. about the salt. So like when you go on the beach where the sand should be, it's just like white salt. And I had this idea that I was going to bring a chunk of salt back and put it on my bookshelf, like as a design. Like it looks like marble, you know, like a crystal. And I don't know. Chris Knight, he really needs to have a boundary with me because he just lets me do whatever was a stupid thing. And so, you know, I think normal people would take like a little rock of salt and have it like on top of a book.
Starting point is 00:17:00 I took probably the size of a football, like of a giant silk sculpture that was like just on the beach. And I put it in my bag. And I really thought they were going to let it. And of course I'm carrying on like an idiot. And then I got stopped and they're like, yeah, it's actually illegal to like remove this. And I was like, there's so much though. Like there's so much salt. Like we're there's not a deficit on the planet.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Like we're good, guys. Have you been in that water? I was buoyant as like let me keep. That's hilarious. That is good. You're bold. I was so bold. You're so brazen.
Starting point is 00:17:37 This is crazy. This is a story from Belgium. So constructors workers were putting a new sewer line in and they removed a part of like the cellar wall and they found a bunch of gold coins. And they thought that they were euros. And they're like, oh, someone put euros in the wall because the building was a brewery.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Well, under the law in Belgium, I guess, the rightful owner of, of the euros has five years to claim it. But what they found out later is that it's gold and it's worth $10.4 million. And this is the year that they have to claim. And if they don't claim, the workers get it. Whoa. Oh, that's awesome. Isn't that cute? That's cool. That's a movie. Have you ever left something in your renovations? I do it all every time. I put little little jumpstones in ours when we were doing it. That's cute.
Starting point is 00:18:29 There was a letter in our old house for us from the old owners, from their renovation. They say, don't take down that wall? No, they were just like, hey, this is, you know, Kathy and Bill, and we lived here in these years and these years, and we were doing this renovation. And if you're finding this note, I guess you are too. Like, it was very cute. We thought that somebody was doing that to us because there was like a, note on the wall when we were like doing our kitchen. We're like, what is it? And it was a contractor's phone number. Like, God damn it. But we left a little note for ours too. You did? Yeah. Also, Becca,
Starting point is 00:19:07 your house is pulverized. I drove by it by the other day. I know, it's gone. They tore it down my very first house in L.A. That house we took film Lady Gang TV in. By the way, I kind of went viral this week for complaining about Lady Gang TV on TikTok. It's not even really at 10,000 views. But yeah, It got some views. What did you say about it? I said, well, I was just thinking, I'm cleaning up all my photos and videos right now. And I found like our pilot episode of Lady Gang TV and what we're trying to do and we're sitting around this table. And it got me thinking about the conversations we had with the network about like what would be on the table.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Like, so it's a podcast, but it's videoed. So like, we have to have the podcast mics out, but you're actually wearing a mic. You don't need, the mics don't work. You know what I mean? Like it was just such a, I remember it being such an in-depth discussion about like, what mic, where are they going to be? Are you going to see them in the shot, whatever? And I kind of said basically in my inst or my TikTok.
Starting point is 00:20:04 That we were the first people to do this and now they're doing it all over. It's so true. I'm like, we were the first people that were like, we're going to take audio and turn it into TV. Like, if I remember correctly, when we pitched Lady Gang TV, the sizzle reel, we had no video of anyone talking. And so the sizzle real was just Leah Michelle's picture and a little voice wave and her talking and being like, these are the kinds of things they're going to say.
Starting point is 00:20:31 And it was like so crazy to be like, wait, these girls, it's a podcast, but it's a video. And I'm like, now everyone around the world is like sitting around a table with a podcast mic. And I was like, we don't get credit for that. And we should. And I'm pissed. Did we f ourselves over by doing that because we introduced video into podcasting? No, because the toast was done. doing it. The toast
Starting point is 00:20:53 was doing it with video on YouTube. I remember that. Adam Carolla, too, was always on video. You weren't the first. But I would say that round oval, squirrel oval table from Wayfarer that's fake marble,
Starting point is 00:21:09 had a good sales run because of us. Yeah. A nice gold. Were we not the very first podcast to be on like cable or network TV? Yeah, no one had done it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah. Well, and everybody has failed since then, so.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Well, Netflix is doing a lot. I don't know if they're having success yet, but. Well, they're taking people's podcasts that already exist, the video from it. Nobody's producing anything new. Yeah, they're not creating, like, a brand new format that are, what was it? What was it called? Talk series? Well, they did because they have the Evan Rott's Cats show, the guy, the guy from Housewives did Alex Baskin,
Starting point is 00:21:46 and it's him around a table with three celebrities. It's just one guy. Okay. And that's new. But it's the same thing. No, they, but it's just interesting. Anyway, long story short, we're icons. We digress.

In Florida, Hollywood, Florida, we're about to be on the one-year anniversary of Lady World, and I just wanted to bring some Florida news your way in case you're missing the Florida. What do you think has happened to my lizard, my alligator costume that I left there? They probably burnt it in a seance after I left. Anyway, Hollywood, Florida, the Steakhouse runs a clothing optional dinner on the first Monday of each month.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Guests get a rope, towel, and a seat cover, staff stay dressed. Tickets are $150. Would you go to Newty steak dinner? I just like am a little concerned of the day of the week that they're having this on. This doesn't seem like a Monday activity. You know? You're right. Like this is more of like a Thursday Friday.
Starting point is 00:26:07 But also the seat cover part, it like makes me want to vomit. Well, thank God. It's better than not having a seat cover. But like just because like that really makes me. makes it so real, you know? Just like the snail trail, just seeping out. I do think there is a place in Palm Springs. I can't remember the name of it.
Starting point is 00:26:25 It's like 21 Palms or like one of those things. It's a spa resort where it's, you wear your bathrobe everywhere. So you can wear your bathrobe to dinner. You can wear your bathrobe. Like it's everybody on the properties in bathrobes. I would like a restaurant that you could just wear a bathrobe. And it's almost like bathrobe robe. And that's that's what I think we should do.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I like this. Just go to dinner in a bathroom. Yeah. No, it is true. It should be. I mean, that's Los Angeles in general. Like a full, you know. But yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Pajamas. People in pajamas in L.A. There's a lot of pajamas. Oh, yeah. People are so. Well, speaking of, I mean, I think this is a good time to mention that we have teamed up with our friend Cindy who created the Pink Pill documentary. all about, you know, she created the female Viagra, Addie.
Starting point is 00:27:19 And she has a documentary about it and why, like, our sex drive suck and why nobody cares about us. And we're doing a pajama party because we were like, so basically we're still icons. We're doing a pajama party on September 29th. You can RSVP. If you go to the ladygang.com, there's a little tab that says Pink Pill Party. You can RSDP, the first 100 people get really cute silk sleep mask sent to them. And 100 people get to be in the room with us. So it's like our live podcast and we can be like Amy and bring Amy to the virtual stage and Amy can be like, well, this, la la, la, like ask this question. So it's the first time we've done anything really like this where you can actually bring our lady gang to the stage to like chat with them and
Starting point is 00:27:56 know them. So make sure to RSVP if it's not already filled. And then if you don't get in the first 100 people, you can watch live stream in the Facebook group. And we're really excited to work with the Pink Pill. The document is amazing. And you can view it on Paramount Plus before so that we, you know what we're talking about. Okay. Yeah. Back to the news, bitches. Okay, this is insane.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Oh, wait. Let me just, can I just say about that? So Cindy, the creator of this, she, her story is so interesting that it was so interesting that we actually shopped it around to make a TV show about this creation. Right. And so, and it's so, that's why everybody needs to watch this. She's fascinating.
Starting point is 00:28:43 the whole thing, it's like very eye-opening. And it's really well done. She's such an icon. It's not like a boring. It was all men executives, right? Yeah, we took it to too many men. Nice. Classic.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Yeah. Classic. Too many men. And they're like, why would anyone want to see a show about that? And you're like, because we're not horny and we want to be. Yeah, exactly. Or bingo. Speaking of being horny, Boston a statistician who owned two medis spas, pleaded guilty and
Starting point is 00:29:13 federal court in April. Prosecutors, this is insane, guys. She performed 1,600 Botox appointments, 1,000 filler procedures, and 100 sculptor treatments over three years while telling clients that she was a nurse. She was not a nurse, and she was using counterfeit product imported from China and Brazil. She bought vials of whatever the f*** was off Alibaba for $50. Not Alibaba. She took in over $1 million, real bobo. Botox runs for about $6.50 a vile. Oh, my God. Well, this happens with real doctors, too.
Starting point is 00:29:51 I just listened to a podcast called Dr. Death about, well, it's a whole series, Dr. Death, but about fake doctors that are just performing spinal surgeries on people. Wait, is this the old Dr. Death that they made the TV show about? But this is the new season. It's called like the cowboy, and it's this doctor that was performing all these spinal surgeries on people who didn't need them. And he kept getting his license. taken away and then he'd just move and do it again. It's wild. That's a really good podcast for a road trip.
Starting point is 00:30:19 Yeah, it's really good podcast. I wonder if there's a way to know because it's so interesting. There's a woman who got plastic surgery from this guy. I think he's in L.A. And she had no idea. He's board certified, like all the things. He botched her. And then she found out later because she obviously went on a rampage on the internet,
Starting point is 00:30:40 went deep diving on all the things. And she found out that does it happen to. many people. And I'm like, how do you avoid that? Like, unless you go on a crazy dive of someone, or I guess you could see publicly if they've been reported to like some sort of medical board. Yeah. I think the only way you can get plastic surgeries if you know someone and have seen the work, sorry, if you know someone and you've seen the work in person. But even still, they could still somebody up. Oh, I mean, yeah. Well, that's just like the risk you have to take. It's like it just, that's like human error.
Starting point is 00:31:14 There's like real self and, you know, beauty broker and things like that, but that's all for spendy people, you know? It's like, what if you just want an eye. And we've seen a lot of fpped up eye lifts. Like there's a lot of people going into an eyeball taking that buckle whatever the celebrity is doing it. Yeah. And you're like, too much. Bradley Cooper too much.
Starting point is 00:31:32 We need the fat in our faces people. Just a little bit. There was another man that just went and did something to his face. Oh, is it Matt Damon? No, it was, I'll think of it. It was so upsetting. I think he just got a bluff. It's really depressing. We're in a bleph, bleph-oography. Speaking of it, I just want to just tell you something. Tired girl makeup is in. All the runways have just happened. Like, we just had Milan Fashion Week in New York. It's like, do you remember the TikToks? Jackie, you probably saw them where like girls are like drawing in bags under their eyes and they want to look like a little tired. and wafy.
Starting point is 00:32:11 It's very in. Searches are up on Pinterest, 214% for unconcealed eye makeup ideas. This is triggering and really fucked up because it's also going hand in hand with the starving women of Hollywood. It's like the emaciated.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Yeah. It's the grim reaper. It's the grim reaper looking at you in the hospital window, but it's just humans. That's gross. And also, I find this highly offensive as someone who struggled with anemia for years prior to a hysterectomy, I had always had the darkest
Starting point is 00:32:44 circles. Why are you placate? Why are you, what's it called, cause playing my illness? You're appropriating anemia. I don't like it. I don't like it. What I do like is KFC. Just kidding. I don't like KFC, but I wanted to tell you that if you're interested. I know. So KFC, they are auctioning off all of the KFC owners' Mementos. So right now you can bid for the Mementos like the Black Tie. You know Colonel Sander? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. He died.
Starting point is 00:33:20 $2,000 for the bow tie. It's a clip on. That's it? Yeah. Colonel Sanders was a real guy? Real guy. And by the way, hold on. I found this up.
Starting point is 00:33:29 I know. When I was looking this up, he wasn't. Okay, you know what comes first, like the chicken of the egg? Like, it was this guy, Colonel Sanders, and he made great chicken, and then they birthed the thing out. No, no, no. He was a smart guy who had an idea for a persona of a man that sold chicken, and then he became that guy and wouldn't leave the house of it. He characterized himself and then became the character. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:50 I love this for him. Smart, right? Sanders died in 1980. Well, they're auctioning off his shit, Becca. I was going to say, I feel like KFCs been a while for a while. Harland Sanders auction. Hold on. Let me find this. What else can you get?
Starting point is 00:34:07 I don't. So he is Sanders. Sanders is ruled. Yes. No, he was like a guy in his sweatpants and he was like, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to become Colonel Sanders. I mean, he looks like himself. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:23 You want a bow tie, Becca? It's very like pussy bow adjacent. A date book for $30,000. Isn't that crazy? Wow. Think of what we could sell when we die. A briefcase full of personal and business documentation. This is interesting.
Starting point is 00:34:41 He began selling fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in Kentucky during the Great Depression. Wow. Damn, KFC's been around for a long time. Yeah. You guys know that one of my first jobs was working at least famous recipe chicken, the cheap knockoff insured Park, Alberta. And I was a chicken bone breaker because you can't. deep fry a thigh bone without breaking its bone or else it won't cook all the way through and
Starting point is 00:35:05 it'll give you salmonella. So you're welcome to all those people. Did you know that? No, I did not, but I don't eat chicken thigh, so. Okay. Well, Becca's going to do her deep dive into Colonel Sanders. Thank you so much for coming to the weird news. Please tag me. I would like to do a segment on the show just called Kelsey's Weird News of the Week. And if you have a weird news, TikTok or something that comes across, tag me in it so that I can bring it to the forefront. because stuff like this makes me feel like I'm walking in my purpose. Right. I have a question for you guys that are chronically on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:35:34 What is this Oreo thing happening? What Oreo thing? There's an Oreo. It's an ad. It's a paid challenge. Oh. No, but it all stemmed from some woman's alleged real. Can you expand on what you mean by Oreo thing?
Starting point is 00:35:49 No, because somebody was talking about it on a podcast and they're like really going in depth about this. And I'm like, I don't know. Is it like a challenge? Oh, a mom allegedly asked parents? Oh, yeah, yeah. No, no, no, I know what it is. I saw it. Okay, basically what happened is that people were sharing their most unhinged group chats for back to school.
Starting point is 00:36:10 So she's in a mom group chat with their kids from school. And the group chat woman says something like, do you have it there, Becker? It says something like, hey, guys, Annie was really upset. She came home crying because she didn't have Oreos in her lunch. and I only feed her highly organic, healthy foods. Can we make a deal between us that none of us will send Oreos or other blah, blah, blah, in the lunchbox so that none of the kids feel left out? And the other mom wrote back and was like, go for yourself my kids eating Oreos. And now people are going insane and being like, you get double stuff Oreos.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Oh, I got amazing. That is the only correct response from that one. Yes. But it's really prompting a lot of these people sharing unhinged texts from like mother-in-law's bridesmaids, like, bachelor's, whatever. But they're all fake. Yeah. Like they're all, that shit's fake.
Starting point is 00:37:00 They're all fake. And I'm like, you guys are taking away the joy of the real spontaneity. Oh, like, they're faking. They're, like, insane things. Because now everyone's like, well, let me share my conversation from back to school. And I'm like, nobody is talking like this. How do you know they're fake? You can tell. Oh.
Starting point is 00:37:17 You can tell. It's like how every Reddit story's fake. Yeah. What a bummer. Okay. Well, on that note, Kelty's, weird news closing up shop for today. We will.
