LadyGang - WHATS IN THE BOX: Hot Barf, Viral Beef & Husband Icks
Episode Date: September 8, 2026Becca gives a full report on the mystery viral illness that took down the entire family, the boy who cried sinus, and Ford's first-ever projectile vomit (directly onto her, at close range). J...ac accidentally went viral for a throwaway comment about a celebrity photo feud, and the comment section will not let it go. Keltie's lash extensions are back and she has strong opinions about your 2006 lash, and she tells a Hawaii story about period shaming that will make you want to fight a man. Then the girls bring back a fan-favorite segment: WHAT'S IN THE BOX. The girls take on childhood crushes that still track (JTT, JC Chasez, and one very controversial Jim Carrey pick), how to handle seeing someone who wronged you, people who don't use turn signals, unearned clout and whether you can simply buy your way into relevancy, AI-written wedding toasts, how insane food prices have gotten, and things their husbands do that give them the ick.We have fall deals for YOU!Macy's: Check out the latest iconic 90s collab now at Macy's! hottest girl posse kelty knight becca tobin and jack vanik
hello hello hello welcome to lady gang i am becca tobin here with jack vanik and kelty
night kelty what are you eating my nutritionist has turned me on to a new power bar papa steve
no junk raw protein bars vegan free of soy wheat dairy plant protein superfoods no artificial
sweeteners they are kind of expensive are they good is it good it you it's a taste you have to
get used to because you're used to like getting grabbing a power bar from 7-eleven and it tasting
like a chocolate bar this does not taste like a chocolate bar but it's really good and i've been
calling it a power bar do you remember power bars oh yeah and what was that it was so like thick
thick and chewy it was like a starburst but it was it weighed like four pounds i know
what the fuck was it pooped out it's still around still in my colon yeah no that definitely doesn't
get broken down that's why i had a polyp in my in my colon yeah oh you did i did too yeah power bar
I'm just seeing if they're still around.
I'm sure they are.
Wow, they are.
Incredible.
I used to love a bar.
Me too.
Kelty sent me those.
Maybe I want to start doing bars again.
That's fun.
It's really good in the morning when you're on the go.
And it basically has, I'll tell you what's in it.
Pea protein, hemp, banana flakes, dates, almonds, gluten-free oats, dark chocolate chips, and banana.
Oh, that sounds great.
It's really good.
And they're no-bake.
Banana.
Okay.
Yep. Interesting. Okay. Well, it's time for Good Week. Yes, it is. Bad Week. Oh, no. I'll kick it off because I don't really have a good week or a bad week because it's just all just a week. As you can hear in my voice, I came down with the plague. Nice. And got the baby plague. The baby plague. So we left Atlanta.
well, Zach and Ford left Atlanta before, yeah, before I did, like by a week. They get home,
so Ford can start school. I'm still with the baby in Atlanta. Then my sister and I fly back from
Atlanta to Austin together. We get settled. And the day we get here, Zach's like, I'm having like
some sort of like sinus thing, allergy thing, something, something. I was like, okay. And let
me just, I'm seeing if he can hear me. Men are so dumb, you guys. Dumb. Yes. I'm like,
every two weeks, this man has something happening with his sinuses and his allergies.
He has been told by 400 ENTs that he needs to have a surgery done because this issue is all
structural. So there are a lot of stuff, there's stuff happening. So we never know if it's a
contagious plague or if it's allergies mixed with up sinuses right big difference but now that we
have a baby I'm like basically gonna do a schedule this surgery without him knowing because we just
go along our merry way because I'm sick of hearing that every two weeks there's something happening
in the sinuses because who has time for that and I let him keep taking care of the baby to keep
handling. You think this is structural. Exactly. It's the boy who cried sinus. So I am going along
my merry way. He starts getting progressively worse. And I'm like, you know what? I'm going
to order a COVID flu, whatever at home test, because we just need to figure it out. Negative,
which I'm like, great. That means it's something structural, whatever your septum's fault,
going on and on and on. Then two days later, I'm like, I feel horrible. What's happening? My body's
aching. Then I'm like, I'm definitely sick because you know what? I'm in touch with my body. I know
what allergies feel like versus being sick. Couldn't be a man. Couldn't be a man. No. So I'm
like, well, we're and we have we have a newborn. She's she's a newborn. And I'm on edge. And then
Ford comes Ford falls with the plague. No. And we test again. Negative. Everything's negative. So
this is just some sort of viral cold whatever something something but the whole family got it
the reason we knew ford had it was because suddenly on sunday it was like he fell asleep
on the couch which he never does he i put him in his bed because it's getting late i'm like let's
just go to bed early and i go to give him he has a fever i go to give him a chewable motrin or
whatever he puts it to his lips projectile vomits onto my onto me no hot barf okay oh no luckily
he didn't get the carpet in his room because we just had that replaced and I would have been
suicidal um it hit but it hit me all over me like my skin yeah but you can take a shower you can
clean you can clean you he's never barfed before this was the first time four and a half years old
and I thought about it a couple weeks ago I'm like this is a long time for a kid to have gone
without barfing and he's gonna be shooketh when it happens so we throw we go in the shower we do
the thing blah blah blah blah luckily Meyer is seemingly fine which is wonderful so that's I
guess the good week is that she's immune. Well, we're not out of the woods yet, but so far she
seems okay. The bad week is hot barf all over me and an illness that is plague, you know, the plague
in the house. I feel like COVID's coming back around. I had some meetings canceled. People got
COVID. COVID's back. That's why we tested because a friend of mine here has COVID.
But it was negative. You're like, what? What year are we in? It's so weird. It's so weird. I mean,
it's always around it's just people don't like test for it anymore yeah true I'm gonna ask you
a little good week question Becca um I know that um well both of you have recently been enjoying
the beautiful gifts I gave you Jack for your wedding your I I saw that you're using your
trunk that I gave you for all your wedding things yes um and Becca I got you a trunk but I fear
that trunk is too large. What's the trunk for? I got a baby trunk. No. Yeah. It's the same size
as Jax. Jax looks like this big and the one the where you had it on the floor looks massive. It
was probably the way the picture was taken but it's like a really good size because I can put
it in her closet to like store her keepsakes and it fits on a shelf in the closet. It's not massive.
It's where did you actually you should talk about this because it is such a wonderful baby gift.
I know. I got a lot of questions about it.
And I gave one to my friend who got married, too, with her married name on it.
I think it's a good married name.
It's called Petite Keep, and they're kind of spendy, but you can go on and you—
it's a beautiful trunk. There's three sizes.
That's why I was asking about the size.
And you can pick the fabric inside, and then you can pick, like, monogram, like, a name or whatever,
and they mail it pretty fast.
Like, normally when you order something that's custom, they're, like, six months.
And I was like, well, that's not going to work, you know?
But it's actually pretty quick.
so I think it's like a pretty allegedly you can like store things in it and it really preserves
them oh really oh yeah unlike other preserves my wedding dress is still sitting in a uh soft
suitcase that I had shipped it back from France you need to give that to your mom and give her
that job that's the mom's job that's my mom did yeah may you've got a something to do on your to
do list. You've got to save it. Yeah. And it also it's going to yellow. You need to have it cleaned
and then preserved. It's been three years. Yeah. Well, yeah, but not another three, babe. Just do
it. All right. You guys. OK, Jack, what's your good week, bad week? My good week is I have gone
viral, never for something that I want to go viral by, never for something that helps me with
anything in life. But do you remember the other week when I just randomly mentioned Kendall
Jenner and Casey Musgraves little beef that they had. Yes. For some reason, people really care.
They really care about beef. And it's not even real beef. It was just they photoshopped themselves
out of the same picture. It has like seven million views on TikTok with people arguing in the
comments. Like you would have thought that I said the most controversial, divisive thing in the
entire world. Wait, I'm going to look. It is. Oh, crazy. The one the clip from the podcast.
Yes.
God, it's because people love fighting.
They love fighting.
Did you get more followers?
I mean, maybe a little bit.
Wow, you have a lot of followers on TikTok.
Still no views.
Nobody sees anything on my TikTok
except for that one Kendall Jenner video.
Wow, 6.2 million.
And that has like a million on Instagram too.
So it's just like, doesn't even matter the platform.
People just really care about the feud.
Kendall didn't want to get sued.
That's not how suing works, first of all.
No.
Like it was copyrighted.
She was being careful.
It's copyrighted.
I was like, no, it's not.
Also, nobody in their right mind would be like, I'm very mad at Kendall Jenner for posting my photo on her Instagram.
Would die.
Would love her to put the cover photo of the Lady Gang podcast.
Please.
When I bought this billboard, I only meant it for people on the streets.
I did not mean it to be in the back of any photos.
It's so bizarre.
The things that people argue about on TikTok specifically are insane.
Like, because some of my random videos from the first degree will go like kind of viral
because we do talk about controversial things there.
And it's like, holy moly, the way that people argue.
I'm like, you're both screaming into the void right now, but like, go for it.
I had to block someone two days ago because I used a Dolly Parton song on a post and somebody
was like bashing Dolly.
It was something you can't do.
No.
It was like some bro.
Well, that person deserves to die.
I blocked him.
He was like, I hate that you use this song and I hate Dolly.
And I blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I'm like, who are these people?
Are you going to comment on every single person's post for the next week because that's all anybody was talking about?
I know.
He probably was.
I think there should be a show similar to Catfish, but it's a little different, where we find somebody who is absolutely an asshole terrorist, a cyber terrorist on Instagram.
and we go and we see
who's made the nastiest comments
and all the things
and then we go
and we show up at their house
with the camera.
This is such a good idea
and it should be like,
okay,
it should be a specific person
that's been getting harassed
by the same person
for like years.
Yes.
And they comment on
every single post.
It's always really personal.
Like it can't
because there's a lot of bots
that like do that.
True.
But like it needs to be this like,
I love this idea.
Well,
I've recently started
if somebody posts,
occasionally,
you know,
when you follow somebody on Instagram, they'll screenshot a comment that they get or a message
that they get that's really nasty from somebody. If anybody does one, that's absolutely an
abomination, just demonic. And I will, sometimes if I have free time, I will go to the person's
account. I will find them on LinkedIn. I will see who their employer is. And I will sometimes send
a message to the employer. Wait, when someone did that to me at entertainment tonight, we were
really mad at them. But you didn't do something demonic. What did you even do that they sent the
message about? I was just alive. I was just alive. Yeah. It was something so silly. I was just
general unhinged. No, this is like anonymous people that like, yeah. It has to fall under
like racist, violent. No, you're right. Crazy. Like it has to be under those circumstances that
it's like you should actually be held accountable for how terrible you are. So I highly recommend
it. It's so easy to find people. People are so dumb. People are so dumb. Okay. So my bad week,
Jared and I got new nightstands for our bedroom. So we're cleaning out our old nightstands. You
know, you just accumulate so much junk in your nightstands. That wouldn't be that weird. Okay.
Oh, no, he found something worse. So obviously I have my stuff in my nightstand. He has his stuff
in his nightstand and he's going through his nightstand. He goes, what the is this? So he
pulls out this letter of sorts it's not a letter it came off a pirate ship it's from uh like a
paper bag and he goes what the f you caleb you that's written on it okay caleb was the guy i
lost my virginity to who jared knows because he's also in an emo band and when i was younger i had
a typewriter and I used to drink whiskey in my bedroom and I would just stream of consciousness,
type on my typewriter about just being emo in general. How old were you? 22 maybe. Okay. Okay.
So it says, you in handwriting. And then can I read you what I had typewritten? Oh my God,
read us the poem, girl. Take us there, Shakespeare. It says, it's so hard to write about you because
you are so perfect but you make me feel so many terrible things and tonight for the first time
I can see you married see you happy see you loved and it breaks my heart because you are so perfect
I think I'm going to float away and I don't expect you to follow me no one ever does I think I'm
going to float away and I don't expect you to chase after me because no one ever does because
everyone leaves and if I float away I don't expect you to chase after me because no one ever does
no one ever does and then it says that again on the back no one ever does no one chases after me
everybody leaves it feels like a suicide note a little bit and also what i'd like you to do
is i would like you to use the tiktok thing where you can make a song out of your texts yes but make
it out of that wow like for this you had more of these yes so many oh my god so many you should do
it in the style of emo music obviously put it into ai and this is your new tag whoever you wrote
about it oh my god i wrote about caleb from we are the kids forever the sickest kids yeah in 2022
no one ever does no one ever does everyone leaves me no one ever does or or jared could just do a
little ditty he could he could write them the second he saw caleb's name he was like why was
that in the bedside table? He saw it and he was hexing it. I don't know. I mean, it might have
just randomly ended up there. I don't know. I don't need to get organized. If you're having a
child, I feel like you're not organized. The wedding dress is we don't know. It's still in
the luggage. Caleb's love notes from 2001 are in the bedside table. Where are your earplugs with
your where's your sleep mask? You need to get organized for children. I need to come there
and I need to sort.
Please help me.
Wow.
Yeah, that was a good find.
Good find.
That's so funny.
Where's Caleb now?
Is he married and happy
like you saw in your...
In your dream.
No one ever does.
I envisioned.
No, I think he is married with child.
Well, you were right about something.
I know.
I saw him married and happy.
I mean, I bet he's a f***ing f*** still.
Probably.
Okay.
Well, here's my good week.
Lash extensions are back.
Oh, they look good.
Wow.
Pretty.
I have felt ugly for two.
I have felt ugly.
I just went up to the camera and showed them.
That's what you can get if you watch on YouTube.
Yeah, I felt ugly for too long.
And to be honest, I was spending so much money
on Ronan and Fields Lash Boost, which does work.
Grows out your eyelashes like crazy.
But then I was getting all kinds of under eye,
crow's feet hair that I had to shave off every week.
And then I was going to my lady to get a lash lift and tint,
which is like $200 and it lasts like two weeks.
And then that time she burnt my eyebrow off.
And I just was like, you know what?
You know what I want?
I want to wake up with lashes.
And I found a lady, Peony's Lashes here in Sherman Oaks, $80 every three weeks.
And they're nice decurl.
But here's the secret, girlies.
You're too thick.
Some of you are still doing a 2006 lash.
Very thin, very curly, very Holly Madison.
They're back.
But then like, can't you, can't you not wash your face really?
You can wash your face.
You're not supposed to scrub your eyeballs, Jack.
That was my problem, though.
I have too many allergies.
Yes.
I guess you'll just have to be ugly forever.
How long does it take to do?
It was like 45 minutes.
Really?
Every three weeks?
Come up close again, please.
They do look great.
They do look really good.
It does look like it could potentially be your lash.
if yeah because it's kind of like spacey it's not like i think where we get into now it's really
close she's come close to everyone get close look at my lashes no and it's spacey like some are
longer than others like she makes it look really natural so i think where we get into problem is
when they put all the same lash in a line and you just have like a you know a broom a broom
Honey. Anyway, so I'm excited about that. My bad week is by proxy. It's from my Hawaii trip
and I forgot about it. And then I just recently remembered and it's so iconic. So I was there
with a couple of my friends and one of my friends was on her period and she, we're in our forties
and we should really know how to do our periods. But like, I think the wonderful thing about women
is that we'll never figure it out until your period's gone. No, it's period amnesia. You're
just you're just always confused about what's going to work for you. And so we're at the beach
and she comes home for dinner and she's like, oh, my God, I got I just like forgot that I was on my
period. I've had this tampon in for like 10 hours and like I got up from out of the pool, which is
pretty gross, but, you know, whatever. She's like, I got out of the pool and then I walked to go get
changed and I fall and like the water coming off me was like murky. Like, do you know what I mean?
like she was on like it was a lot of period day one yeah and so I was like oh I was like she's
swiping up she's like but god it's just so funny we're laughing and I was like god we'll just never
figure out womanhood ha ha ha well then one of the boys on the trip was like sent and I think
honestly cancel this man but to our group text which was boys and girls opened the beach chair
and was like what the is this who's cleaning this up she she had bled onto the beach chair
of our rental and it was like really a big bloody stain and I felt very embarrassed because
I think she was kind of crushing on another person there and they were having like kind
of flirting and so like can you imagine being flirting with someone and then being called out
for your period anyone send that picture it's so mean right and then everyone was like deciding
who was gonna i'm like guys no she had to leave anyway um that was it i just felt really embarrassed
for her and as someone who doesn't have a period anymore i just remember all the times where you're
just shamed like honestly that guy should be shot i'm just kidding no what a dick i hope he gets
hemorrhoids i hope that every time that men have diarrhea like when you have diarrhea men should
be diarrhea shamed the way women are period shamed where like you should just be shamed forever like
Just on their pants, on their seats, down their leg.
And it should just be like, Keith, is this your diarrhea on this chair?
Like, you know what I mean?
I just don't understand why we still have to bleed.
Why?
Yeah.
Why don't we figure this out?
It's un...
I mean, I guess there are ways, but it's still questionable if those are even ways we should be going about it.
I don't know.
It's like, should we not be...
I guess the ablation.
The ablation does feel...
very popular. Very right. You know, it's amazing to not have a period. My friends that all did it
think it's the greatest. The ablation is good. If you're, if you have the right uterus can really
be amazing for you. I mean, not for you, Jack, but okay. Well, when we come back, we are bringing
back an old classic and you'll never guess what it is. Just kidding. You'll guess because it's
the title of this episode. So I know we're like moving into fall and it feels very much like I
actually was cleaning out my photos this weekend. And I was like, remember when you used the sepia
filter? Oh yeah. On everything. It's very that. And like, I was thinking about nineties trends
and I was thinking about our incredible partnership with Macy's and they actually
did something so cool. They brought together like all their iconic designers, Tommy Hilfiger,
michael kors donna karen and a bunch to like do a capsule collection based on sort of like
the 90s and like the iconic like vibes don't wait on this once in a lifetime collaboration
it launches september 8th these pieces are just around for a limited time and you know macy's is
like the only people still doing those like really cool once in a lifetime sort of like hot drops
one trend i'm very excited about them bringing back is the jeans with like a silky lace camisole
Oh, jeans and a top and a plaid shirt around your waist. Yeah. Yeah. What do you guys miss
about nineties? I mean, I don't even miss it because I wear it every single fall, but anything
plaid, anything plaid I feel like is just so chef's kiss and like everybody can do it in their
own different way. Like I do it in a more kind of like grungy way, but like I could see Becca and
Kelty doing it in their own way. Like that's, it's very versatile. Yes. What I miss wearing and I
can't wear them because i'm not a painter but the overalls yes the overalls when we used to be able
to wear i guess you could we could probably do overalls again right i have overalls you were
overalls on lady gang tv and it was really cute did i really do you remember that no i don't
remember that but i love an overall there's something about it where it's like a little
like your hair's up and it's like so messy and you have like a white tank top and an overall
and it's like you can tie your plait around your waist and you're just so like fun and
free spirited and like in a rom-com yeah it's like she's all that she was wearing she was
wearing overalls when she was painting before she took the glasses off yes laney boggs forever
like she is that girl i also love the like i love like the combat boot thing that's happening like
it's a 90s it's very like tommy hilfiger remember tommy hilfiger would be like they'd wear like the
plaid silk dress with like a thing tied around the waist and then like a combat boot yeah layers yes
And I'm going to fashion week next month.
And I was like, I cannot do fashion week again.
I can't believe I'm going back to fashion week,
but I'm actually not, I'm going for one day,
but I'm going for fashion day.
But I like can't do this in a heel
that hurts my feet in New York City.
Like I have to do it in a combat boot with like a big sock.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Cute.
Love that look.
And like a beanie,
like all the different ways I can cover up my bad haircut.
My grays.
Like beanie.
Cover my grays.
Anyway, Macy's, we are so excited about this.
Mark your calendars, everybody.
Don't wait on this once in a lifetime collaboration.
These pieces are just around for a limited time.
All of these like special throwbacks with a twist.
It launches September 8th.
Macy's are the only people still doing those really cool once in a lifetime hot drops.
Yes.
Hot drop.
Hot drop for fall.
Thank you, Macy's.
Hot drop.
Thank you.

Wow.
My shoulders are so grateful.

Now back to the Lady Gang.
Okay, we're back.
Many years ago, if you're new to Lady Gang,
we had a segment called What's in the Box?
What's in my box?
I was reminded by our group
that there used to be a giant cat meow.
Like Steve, our producer, put it in.
It was like meow.
Like, cause I think we meant box like kitty.
Like it was, I don't know.
Anyway, I found the box.
There it is.
It's a trapper keeper.
Our little trapper keeper pink box.
And I asked the group what they wanted us to talk about.
And so here are the topics.
First question out of the box.
Childhood crush that still tracks.
Jim Carrey.
Ew.
What?
Yep.
Still tracks?
Well, not like not his current self.
That's what we're saying, though.
That's what still tracks means.
That's still hot.
Well, I stand by my crush of him.
He was my first celebrity crush.
I loved him.
Yeah, but it doesn't leave a little track, like the Hanson brothers still track.
Okay, well, he still tracks as I'm proud of that crush.
You know who's hot still that was not my celebrity crush is Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
Did you see he took a recent picture and he still looks so good.
Did he get tall or no?
He's never tall.
When did he post a picture?
Zach Morris from Saved by the Bell, I think, was hot then and is still hot.
I'm trying to think of who's still hot.
Brad Pitt.
He looks great.
Doesn't he look good still?
Yes, JTT.
He's like cute.
He's not like hot, but he's cute.
Oh, well, for me, JC, I still think is our cardigan king.
Yep, he can get it.
Do you guys think JC will say yes if I ask him to come sing three songs from his musical at my bookshop in LA?
I was thinking about it.
That's a crazy ask.
You think?
because I think he's going to be gigged to perform it.
No?
At a book signing of somebody he barely knows?
Yeah.
If you're passionate about it, you will, JC.
Okay, well, don't be disappointed, LA, when it's not JC.
That is so funny.
I'm aiming high.
I'm asking, like, crazy people.
I love that.
I'm like, hey, Madonna, are you able to come to the Barnes & Noble on 34th Street?
Okay.
Mine was Ray Liotta, and I think that that stands.
Don't you think?
I mean, he's no longer with us, but he died hot.
Well, that's not fair.
But he died old.
Did he die recently?
Yes.
Oh, yes.
Come on.
Get up on your Ray Liotta news, okay?
I honestly can't remember Ray Liotta.
Good fellas.
Are you joking?
Oh, my God.
I'm not too young.
I know, Amalia, you're younger than you.
I mean, it is an older movie because, like, my parents loved it.
But, like, this was him later.
No.
Wait, he looks like somebody else that's alive.
Josh Duhamel.
Oh.
A little bit in that picture.
Okay.
Anyways.
All right.
When you still have to interact with someone who has wronged you because they occasionally get invited to stuff with mutual friends, you just kill them with kindness.
Yeah.
First of all, you have to let them know.
Well, if they don't know why you're mad, then you have to make good with them.
Like you got to like let them know, hey, I know I'm going to see you at Becca's birthday party.
I just wanted to be clear.
I was very hurt when you blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Moving forward, please don't do that or blah, blah, blah.
You got to clean up your side of the street and then they can respond however you want.
And then you cannot get in a fight with them over text.
But you just say, great, looking forward to seeing you in person.
And then you walk up to them and you do this.
Oh, my God.
Hi, Sam.
Like, you know, and I know we hate each other.
We're going to say hi.
and then you walk to the other side of the bar.
Do not sit in a circle over there
and ignore each other.
Pretend you don't see each other.
You got to hit it head on.
You hit that hatred head on.
I wouldn't.
I know you wouldn't.
But I'm less confrontational than you.
I would probably just say hi to them,
pretend like everything is cordial,
and then ignore them the rest of the night
and not put myself around them at all
and then talk shit in the group text.
Yeah.
It's probably my move too.
Very let them of you.
You know, this really reminds me of something.
um my sister's best friend we were talking about how there are certain people who if if somebody's
talking to you and they're really wrong about something and you know like they're very wrong
there are people who will correct it and then there's people who don't and my sister's best
friend my sister's somebody that'll not like correct you but if you're saying something that's
like deserves a conversation a back and forth if you will because somebody's an idiot well my sister
asks her friend she's like how do you just stay quiet knowing that that person is so dead wrong
and her friend goes I just sit there and I find so much joy in this little secret I have with
myself that that person is so dumb and wrong and I've been trying to do this a little bit more
it is fun well also it's like you got to think about the fact if you don't say anything and you
also don't like this person, then you can like bask in the joy of them going about their life
with this misinformation, looking like an idiot. Yes. And it's kind of like with this too. It's
almost like you put that person in a weird spot of almost knowing subconsciously they did something
wrong or bad, like at this, you know, the person at the party or whatever gathering, but then you
don't give them the satisfaction of even confirming nor denying whether you're good or bad. Keep them
on their toes and don't act awkward no just like do your thing and then maybe they'll be
their whole night will be ruined wondering why you haven't talked about it gorgeous well Kelty
your advice was great too you guys are screwed up okay Tara wrote and I agree with her people
not using their turn signal it's 2026 get it together yeah you know what yeah oh yeah is this
a question box or is it a statement box this is a statement box this is things they want us to
discuss okay it's not a question it's just topics well I do think that you could if you get in an
accident and don't use your turn signal I do think that that can be used against you so but why don't
And people, like, you need to use your blinker when you change lanes, even if the next car is, like, shouldn't that just be part of your muscle memory, guys?
Yes.
As the worst driver of the group, like, you just change lanes, you go tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, you look over your shoulder, and then you change lanes.
Like, the whole just, like, whoop, going to the new lane is not okay.
And people are doing it on the 405 here in L.A. with very little ass room on their cars, okay?
Yeah, it's rude.
Also, when people are in the right lane and they're going to make a turn, they just turn.
And you're like, I'm going 60 miles an hour.
Like, I needed you to warn me that you're making this turn.
Also, sometimes when I'm going to Pilates, I'm at a T-intersection on Woodman, okay?
And there is no stoplight and no stop sign.
And, well, there's a stop sign on one side and there's no stop sign on the other.
And if you're going straight, I'm going to pull out and like go on my merry way.
But if you're turning right in front of me, I would like to know that so that I don't pull my nose out.
Okay.
And I'm driving a golf cart.
And by nose, I mean 13 inches of car.
You're driving a golf cart to Pilates?
Well, you know, my Fiat.
Oh, my God.
It's like a golf cart.
You know, I did hear a statistic that like most accidents happen when people run lights.
so you should never be the first one off the line at a light where i always was when as soon as the
light would turn green i'd be like off to the races and i would always think look at these
losers behind me driving so slow but really i was putting myself in harm's way i know drives me
crazy though because when i slow for a yellow like you know when you're in the left hand turn
and you're going and it turns yellow and you're like ah yellow means stop then the people behind
me are beeping like six more cars are beeping like we could all got through no bitch yellow
means do not go anymore these other people need i just know yellow means slow and proceed with
caution i thought yellow means you have a moment to get through the intersection yeah but not if
you're at the end of the yellow if you're the third person trying to go through on a yellow
that is your time to calm it down i guess not okay well hollywood's hottest girl posse
Truly.
Okay.
Someone put long live lady gang just as their comment.
And I thought, okay.
And then someone else put, please discuss unearned clout.
Like when people just get big from not doing anything?
I didn't know what it meant, but I thought maybe the girls do.
What is even earned?
What does it even mean anymore?
I mean, I know I was the first person to bitch about Whitney's husband doing Dancing with the Stars.
And I think that that's probably like the bumper sticker.
That's unearned clout.
Unearned clout.
Yes.
In your opinion.
In my book. In my book. But you know what? It's the Wild West. It's the wild mother f***ing West.
I will say as somebody who has tried so hard for the past 25 years to just like hold on
when it comes to like relevancy, because that's where I make my income from. It hurts sometimes,
you know, when you see somebody skyrocket and you're like, what did they do?
Right.
And like, they were just a normal person yesterday and now they're a multimillionaire
and then they don't have to do, try it all.
It's like winning the lottery in a way.
And so you just have to treat these people
like lottery winners.
How do you feel about the Stella Lefty stuff with,
I know we've talked about it before
that her dad's the Groupon founder billionaire.
People are losing their minds about this,
at least in my algorithm.
Yes, same with mine.
It's not, I don't know who this woman is.
I don't know this woman.
Tell me about her.
Here, I'll give the TLDR.
We talked about it like briefly two weeks ago, I think.
So her dad is the founder of Groupon.
He is a billionaire.
He's like one of the richest, like 100 people in the world or something.
She came out of nowhere because of this like clip on TikTok that she like made with her
friend and it like went viral.
And then she kind of just went viral.
She wrote this song called Boston.
That's a straight ripoff from Noah Khan's Six Seasons song.
And then he sued her and now she has to pay him royalties.
But then her dad's a billionaire.
So who cares?
And she still got ahead from it.
um and then now she's writing this other music that all sounds like it's written by ai and is
getting all these festivals and all this shit um and she's just like a whatever thing it's i said
it sounds she feels like a psyop is the music good it's sounds like it's written by it's catchy
it's catchy and basic and like ripoffs of other melodies that have already happened that are
popular yeah but people are losing their minds more about her than like other nepo people so
it's confusing to me because i i think it seems a lot faker the rise just feels something are
technically like famous people babies i mean right you're right i guess this isn't this is like
it's it's filthy rich child it's it's well you can buy your way into being nepo like if you're
if your dad's that rich,
like he can pull all the strings that like a famous person could just through
his money,
basically.
Yeah.
He could buy the views on tech talk to make it go viral.
He could buy her way onto Lollapalooza.
He could buy her way doing all of these things.
Like she,
he can create her to be a big artist.
She has a good enough voice to like get by and do it.
So it's not like somebody,
no offense,
Jack,
but you don't sing,
but it's not like her dad's it's not like bill can buy her way and you have to have some
she's fine morsel but yes i think i think it's well she's fine but it's she's not like ariana
grande like who has this incredible voice and is this incredible performer she's very much like
standing on stage sort of just like almost looks like she's doing karaoke but then is playing
the 4 p.m. slot at Lollapalooza right yeah Chris talks about this all the time and he literally
just did an interview with hits the other week not the other week a couple months ago where
he was asked like what's the most important thing that we have to like worry about in the future of
music and he was like with the way it how it costs for artists to tour and stuff if these tiny venues
Like, if the Roxy and the Troubadour and, like, these baby venues and these, they cease to exist and it's impossible for, like, these artists to get on the road, then there won't be anyone who's worthy of, like, paying $700 to go see in an arena.
Like, you actually need, like, there is, like, it's like Becca and I doing musical theater.
It's like you start in high school, then you do your college thing, then you do an off-Broadway, then you go to Broadway.
like well you can't all of a sudden be huge without you're not good enough so lefty can i
guess but it's like if you look at olivia dean she's like i've been doing this is 15 years of
me playing shows and now i'm selling a majesty square and i put on a great show because i've
been practicing and it's like zara larson just turned down the ability to be nominated for best
new artist because she's like and by the way we had her years ago like she's like i'm not a new
artist i've been doing this forever so like when her mic goes out or she has to sing live she's
Incredible. It's like when you look at someone like Dasha or like that country girl that had that boot start walking. She had like a very TikTok-y thing. And then she got booked on all these big shows like the VMAs and the Billboard Awards and stuff and wasn't ready. Wasn't ready to meet the moment.
Yeah, you can tell.
And you can tell. And it was like not her fault. It's just like you didn't, you know. And so, yeah, you can buy your way into relevancy. I think that you can buy your way into anything, but it won't last. You know what I mean?
Well, yeah, it's the same way that I look at, you know, people like that or like other bands out of nowhere that get massive.
And then I look at the main.
I'm like, they've been doing this for 20 years.
They are incredible.
They could do anything.
And then you see this Joe Schmo, Nepo Baby band that just gets like pushed to the very top.
And it's like, it's so unfair.
But I mean, that's just how life is, I guess.
That's showbiz, baby.
That's showbiz, baby.
Razzle dazzle.
Well, and then you get Fear Phoebe Gates. Like that's the craziest thing of all time. Do you guys know about the Fia scandal? It's so insane. Not that this is a question in the box, but I've been very interested in this because, you know, I work with Alta and Jenny is like the founder of that is like a brilliant coder. And a lot of the ways that we plan to monetize Alta in the future are shopping links, right?
Like I want to be able to go into Becca's closet, see what she's wearing.
And then if she has a jean I want, I'm going to buy that jean.
Like that's like how things go.
But we haven't turned that feature really on yet.
And so what happened with Phoebe Gates is like it's actually insane how many people like Caitlin Bristow like put money in.
So she basically went around and made this like cookie machine, like a shopping thing, like honey or whatever, where, you know, you want the discount.
So you put this thing on your Safari and it shows you the cheapest place to buy whatever
bag you want.
And then when you click on that link, Fia gets a kickback, right?
And like you, whatever.
But what she did in the code is she basically wrote it so that if Becca had her Shop My
and she was like, hey, here's the baby stroller I love.
And she sent it out to her Instagram and 1000 people clicked on that link.
if they also had the fia app it would take away becca's link and instantly put her link so it's
like every single influence in the world was now having their links like killed erased and then
the fia link in there and she knew about it like it's clear that i mean allegedly but it will go
to trial like it's clear that the and i was talking to jenny about it and jenny goes well
here's the thing is that like i was like in hollywood people lie they steal things all the
time, she's like, yeah, code doesn't lie. She's like, if it's in the code, it's in the code. Like
someone had to write that code to tell that computer to do that thing. But what's crazy
about it is because she's Bill Gates's daughter. She raised all this money. There were so many,
I've been this whole time at Ulta being like, Jenny, we need to do more. We need to do more.
Like, look at this, look at this article in Forbes and this article in Vogue. And she's like,
I don't know, something's fishy. Like it, how is it worth $5 billion anyway? And then you're,
And it's more embarrassing, I think, when you're a nepo baby to fail like that, because like now you've like tainted your dad's legacy.
Well, she's well, he already tainted his legacy with that.
Yeah.
But I'm sure she will just have plausible deniability.
I bet you she doesn't even know how to code.
So I bet you it's going to fall on the person.
No, but there's all these slacks.
That's the problem.
Where she knew.
It doesn't matter, though.
His money can get her out of anything.
I just do not understand being the daughter of a billionaire.
Why are you doing this?
in the first place why do you need to be making your own app can't you just live happily with all
of his money why are we well i don't know i i i feel differently about this i think that if i had
a billionaire dad i would be so excited to go out and do a venture that i was passionate about
because you'd have the money to start the venture it's different like a passionate venture though
doing this she's passionate about it it's a really good idea yeah I see I feel like
I feel that way about like independently wealthy women who then become influencers that to me is
like I'm so confused but again it's like whatever if you want to use all that capital to just post
your outfits do you girl but I do think it's cool like I've had so many ideas in the past that I
wish so badly there was just some bankroll that I could fund it instead of my own money. And so
I do understand, but also she is. It's not sexy. So just last week I was with my nutritionist,
Elizabeth, and she was yelling at me and saying, babe, perimenopause, you got to lift heavy weights
and you need more protein every single day. And I'm like, I'm so sick of trying to eat protein.
it's annoying i've got other things i want to do but that is why we are so obsessed with clean
simple eats now i talked at great lengths on this podcast about their protein water which is
delicious and in my fridge right now but if you're in the market for a new protein powder that
actually works and tastes good clean simple eats uses grass-fed whey protein isolate that's both
high quality and highly effective a lot of these protein powders are just junk and that is why
clean simple eats is so good so just to explain this whey protein isolate is a complete protein
with a full amino acid profile remember we talked about this before on a podcast like a year ago
where like you can take all the protein in your world but if you don't have the amino acids then
it doesn't build muscle and you don't boost your metabolism and you don't stay healthy okay so
anyway clean simple eats uses no artificial color sweeteners and they're incredible so go check them
out clean simple eats is undeniably clean and 100 delicious shop the best tasting protein powder

You're listening to The Lady Gang.
Dani wants to know why everyone is using chap GBT to write their wedding toast.
Why can't you?
Isn't it GP?
P.
GPT.
I know.
It's a Mandela effect.
Yeah.
Well, anyway, why are you using AI to write your wedding toast?
Why doesn't it even sound like something they'd say?
I mean, that's a bummer.
It's everything.
It's everybody's using it for everything.
I know.
But that's like, that's where it really is a bummer.
like especially you know people are using it for their vows honestly i thank you for doing it i'm
so glad i don't want to hear one more bad made of honor good you this is what we are benefiting from
i don't care if you're not writing your own jokes don't make me sit through a boring ass
speech and you know what remember the time we're at the shore you remember i don't need any speeches
at weddings or that I know it's either a great speech or and but you don't know what you're
gonna get like I love a great speech at a wedding I think it's so good I went to a my god Jack do
you remember when your dad's speech at your wedding oh you mean his magic trick he did both
speech was so amazing well my dad is he's yeah he's long-winded we love him so much but he's
gonna do a speech because he's the best he's also we're outside and it's like kind of starting to
rain. And we're like, we got to get this show on the road. We got to get through this dinner so we
can get inside because we are it's about to rain. Jack's going to break down. And Bill gets up there
and he's like, it's as if it's the sunshiny day and Earth has paused its axis. And he's like,
I have the speech and I've prepared and he brings out a children's book. And I think, oh, it's so
cute. He's going to read a speech from inside the book. No, no, the speech is the book. The book
is 900 pages long and every every sentence he's flipping the page and you're like dad hurry up
and he wrote the book right yeah it was amazing oh my god and then he did a magic trick oh my god
my friends magic tricks take 45 minutes like because he does them in normal life too like
he'll prepare them for like a family if there's like thanksgiving and families around or like
somebody's birthday and there it's like you're along for the journey for the magic trick the
magic trick i would say is the old school version of people pulling up a youtube video on their
phone and saying here watch this it's so funny but see i love i've always loved i've loved magic
because my dad you always did it magician right um i did i literally couldn't remember i was like
have i i was obsessed with chris angel i know one of us did out of the three collectively we've
definitely slept with one of every bad choice did you see on instagram recently the average
like person has slept with six people in their life that is so all these people being like uh
oh it's today that i realized that i was a whore what um ashley peterson not to buzzkill
Ashley said, how expensive food is now?
Discuss.
I got to be honest with you guys.
It is bad out there.
It's horrible.
I had pizza Friday solo.
I got a small cheese pizza from Domino's with pineapple on half and a Cinnabread and icing.
That's it.
With delivery, it was $47.
But did you use DoorDash?
Well, delivery you can't even do because delivery now is like $25 more.
Oh, wow.
This food is so expensive.
The problem is now fast food is just as expensive as going to a restaurant.
You get a meal at McDonald's and it's $35.
You might as well have gone out to the restaurant.
Cheesecake Factory, I have so many things to talk about about Cheesecake Factory
because they were supposed to be affordable.
But it's more, we went to Cheesecake Factory with three people.
I think the bill was like $180 for three people.
No, you guys, we went to dinner for Christina's birthday and I was like, I'll pick up dinner.
And I'm thinking, yeah, there's 10 people here.
It'll be like $600, $700, which is a lot, but it's like her birthday.
I'm like $75 a head, right?
With a drink and an entree and like some shared apps.
No, no, no.
Every single thing on the menu was $25.
I was like, what the actual.
How much was the bill?
So much.
Oh, God.
Yeah.
It was a lot.
And I really wished I hadn't done that.
Food's expensive.
I mean, remember the whole basis of the election was like,
my eggs are too expensive.
Well, look what's happening, people.
$8.99 for a pack of blueberries.
Okay, last thing.
This will be fun.
Things that our husbands do that give us the ick.
Breathe.
Oh.
Just kidding.
When Jared, when he's like watching a funny video
and I can hear him laugh, it's like,
you would think this is the funniest thing
that anybody has ever told him.
And he is laughing so hard.
I can hear him from the other room.
I just get so mad because I'm like,
I've never thought anything in my life
was this funny to laugh this hard at.
So his joy brings you the ick.
Just to clarify.
But it's because she's not causing the joy.
She's like, you never laugh like this around me.
It's just annoying.
And then of course he shows me the video
and I'm like, this is not even worth
even having a smile for.
And he just thinks it's the funniest thing ever.
We love Jared.
This is why you married him.
He's wonderful.
No, he's the best.
What's my ick?
I have one.
I have many, but my...
I have many.
It's not an ick, but like it's a thing that Chris does that drives me bananas.
Chris refuses to drive his car with shoes.
Now, I don't have a size 13 foot, so I don't...
I think so, too.
I think that's illegal.
So Chris will...
Where does he put the shoes?
He brings...
He leaves the house in a sock and brings his shoes and puts them down beside his feet when
he's driving.
Also, one of those shoes stuck behind the brake pedal.
I know.
I have so many.
The qualms are qualming, okay?
To the point where, and then we get to where we're going,
and we're like ready to get out and go to the thing,
and Chris needs to stop and put his shoes on and drives me bananas.
This is the weirdest.
He likes feeling like the pedals underneath his toes.
I have no idea.
I don't know why he does what he does, but let me tell you something,
and this is the funniest story of all time.
Not of all time, but very funny.
So Chris one day calls me, and he goes,
oh my god i'm at footlocker and i was like why and he's like i drove all the way to work
and i forgot my shoes he drove only in his socks that's like what i've done with ford before
like that's a child he's no becca listen to this he's putting his socks onto the ground
weird he got outside went to go get out and he had no shoes he's like i can't what about getting
into the car like he's walking walking in your garage yeah garage yeah no he went out and he
was like, I got to go buy some shoes. And then he calls me back and he's like, this is so up.
They won't let me buy shoes because I'm not wearing shoes. Oh, my God. What if he was
previously unhoused? He tried to get on his feet again and was like, I want to buy some shoes. And
they're like, dude, you can't come in here. You don't have shoes on. And he's like, no,
no service. I need to buy the shoes. And they're like, no. And he's like, I need you to sell me
some shoes anyway they wouldn't sell him shoes because he didn't have shoes on that is the great
conundrum guys this is actually a footlocker fiasco there this could be what if there is
somebody who's not they've they've just gotten off the streets and they just got their first job
and they have money they can finally buy their first pair of shoes you should be honored foot
locker that this shoeless person wants to put the first pair of shoes on their feet would be yours
that's also you had one job footlocker i also like the feet i feel like footlocker probably
needs the money you know everybody's struggling right now sell the shoes it's a 13 it's an adult
size shoe it's heavy he probably needs a sock like i don't know anyway that's hilarious my
is my ick is you know that i hate uh i hate a country club guy i hate them so much there's a
very specific brand. Unfortunately, Zach has morphed into a country club guy. My ick is when
he walks through the front doors of the club and he does his like mayoral campaign of like,
hey, hey, yeah. Did you go out today? Was it hot? Yeah, it's cool. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I've got I got
the new grips on my clubs. I'm going to go check them out. Hey, Johnny, at the pro shop. How are
you doing are my grips ready I'm gonna kill myself that sucks ick that sucks boner killer
boner lady boner killer okay well on that note this was fun thank you for bringing it back what's
in the box honestly slay good ideas everyone and good statements good questions good statements
good questions and we are just so excited and we'll see you next Tuesday see you next Tuesday

Lady Gang, it's Kelty. I would love to see you on my book tour this fall. It's going to be
a really cool, intimate chat. I'm going to do celebrity moderators, music in some cities. I'm
going to do a little self-help talk, and then we're going to do a personal emotive writing
session. I just think it's going to be really special. If you've come to a Lady Gang show
before, it's probably going to be a little less chaotic, a little more like getting yourself
together before the new year. Tickets are 35 bucks, and they include a signed copy of my new
book, The FM Theory. I'm hitting Atlanta, Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago,
New York City, Toronto, Canada, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, and Dallas.
And I would love to see you. Tickets are available now at fthembook.com. It's 35 bucks. Come out and
see me for the night. It would really mean a lot to me to see some of my lady gang girls there.
fthembook.com and I'll see you there, lady gang. Hi, I'm Barbara, aka your nursing educator on
Instagram. I'm a registered nurse and I create content to help nursing students feel ready to
take on anything and everything that comes with the job. And trust me, it's a lot. Here's one of
my favorite and simplest pro tips. Upgrade your scrubs to figs. Figs are designed for us. They are
super soft, lightweight, and breathable with four-way stretch to keep up with your every move.
Polished professional silhouettes? Check. Functional details and pockets in all the right places?
Check and check. No matter what your day has in store, figs has layers to match. Their under
scrubs are perfect on their own or as a lightweight base layer to help keep you cool and dry. And when
the temperature drops, their outerwear styles are made for everything from chilly commutes to
freezing hospital hallways. If you're in health care or love someone who is, check out Figs. Head
to wearfigs.com and use code FIGSCA for 15% off your first order. That's wearfigs.com, code FIGSCA.
