Hey, I'm sex, love, and relationship therapist, Dr. Laura Berman.
And for the past 30 years, I've been helping people just like you learn to love and be
loved better.
Here on the Language of Love Conversations, I'm talking to some of the world's most
influential and revolutionary experts, thought leaders, spiritual teachers, and celebrities
about love, sex, and relationships from a mind, body, and spirit perspective.
And that way, my goal is to awaken your mind, body, and soul.
It's time to become fluent in the language of love.
David Lyon is a mystic, channeler, hypnotist, who is passionate about helping others embody
their higher self, liberate their hearts, and master their spiritual gifts.
so he takes people on all sorts of journeys with channeling and using his clairvoyance and helping
people tune in and tap in to their unique connection to the divine i had an opportunity
to dive in deep with david on this topic and he is sharing all sorts of pearls for really
how to connect more deeply to your own spiritual guidance, how to feel safer in love. And he also
takes me into a little hypnotized channeling session where we get into a struggle I've been
having in my personal life that he guides me back to my heart and back to clarity. I think it's
going to be pretty astounding. I know it was for me. And I hope that you'll join me on the journey
because if you do it with me, you'll probably discover some astounding things too.
David, thank you so much for joining us. I'm really excited to dive into just creating a
magical life with you and not, well, you and I are creating a magical life, whether we're just
meeting for the first time or not together, cause we're all one, but I mean, how we as a community
and within ourselves can really find and uncover our own magic. That's definitely a journey that
I have been on, that all my peeps here are on in all of our own ways. And I know one of the reasons
that I've enjoyed following you so much is that you speak to that so much in your daily life.
So I was wondering if we could just start there. What is it to you to live a life of magic? What
it is that you're kind of really committed to in your service to the world? Yeah, for sure. Thanks
for asking. What I'm really committed to and devoted to, I feel like my mission is really
encouraging people's connection with with source inside their heart with the magic inside their
heart the truth whatever you want to call it because for me that's where all things blossom
when you feel connected to source you feel connected to your joy you feel connected to
your creativity your clarity your inspiration so on and so forth so for me that's the ultimate and
so that's what i aspire to support people with is feeling that connection because it's a lot easier
to create a life of magic when your chemistry is in a state of joyfulness than when it's in
a state of misery. Amen. As these guys know, I'm on this journey with them. And I have guests on
that I not only know will inspire my listeners, but are really what's up for me too. So doing my
podcast is one part selfish and one part service. And so I always bring on people that really kind
of resonate with me or speak to me, or I feel I'm being called to call in and service not only to me,
but to the community. And so this, what you just said resonates so much. And I talk about this all
the time because I'm going to have you tell us in a second how you came to really, I don't think
it's natural, unfortunately, in this today's world. Like if you are alive right now, you probably
were not raised in an environment, chances are, where you really built an authentic two-way
connection with a loving source. You just weren't. If you were either an organized,
guilt-inducing, restricting, judgmental religious institutions, or you were in an agnostic atheist
kind of situation, or it just wasn't talked about. I know even speaking for myself, and I've talked
about this many times. It is a big, it's like one of my primary incentives in life right now
to really foster and connect. It took me a really long time to even believe in a higher power.
And now that this part of the journey feels like I'm really about like fostering exactly what you
say, that connection to spirit in my day-to-day life, that sense of a two-way co-creative
relationship. None of us, I mean, almost none of us, I can't say none of us, but I would say the
majority of us were never given a roadmap. It was never modeled for us. And so we walk around,
we're still tapped in no matter what we're doing. Like that grace is always coming into us. I know
that I've felt it enough and tapped into it enough and tuned into it enough to know. But most of the
time, we don't know how to access it. We don't know how to feel it. We don't know how to like
get into the vibration of getting in the flow of it. Right. And I know that's what you're speaking
to. So have you always been this way or did you go on a dark night of the soul journey where you
discovered it? You know, I want to say yes and no, you know, because and I'll explain what I mean,
but, you know, because it is our most natural state, you know, our most natural state is
connectedness, is joyfulness, is having that connection to what we call the divine and
intelligence and so on and so forth. And that's not what the average normal is. It's not so normal
for people to have that experience. My story is a little bit different, I guess, at least from the
way that you've experienced things. I've always, as far back as I can remember, have had a very
unique connection to what I call God, which I've come to understand is very different to what
religious people refer to as God. I don't see it as a man in the sky. I don't know where it came
from you know i don't remember it ever being taught to me you know i was raised i grew up in
a jewish family you know my my father's jamaican my mom's jewish and i was so i was raised in a
jewish household because i wasn't raised by my father that was always there i always had this
thing for me it just felt like this energy that i was talking to i would talk to him in my dreams i
was talked to in on my day-to-day i would get i would ask questions you know and i remember the
answer yeah i remember my first you can call it an awakening if you will or my first revelation
that I remember having I was about six years old and at this point in my life like every night I
would go to sleep and every dream was exactly the same I was Leonardo the Ninja Turtle I was the son
of God which meant I had all the magical powers in the world and April O'Neil was my girlfriend
wow and every night I would go and save the world in my dreams and I'd have this really passionate
intimate relationship with April as a child like it was it's you know so there was something going
on there from, call it another life. And whenever I needed advice, I would go down a Mario pipe
and that would take me up to heaven where I would talk to God, talk to dad. And I would get advice
and get blessed with more powers and stuff. And this was in your dream life, this would happen.
This was in my dreams. I would close my eyes and go to my dream world. Now I know it's lucid dreaming,
but it was just normal as a kid. And in my waking state, it was similar, a conversation.
And I remember one time asking God, I was like, what are you?
And immediately I was shown this vision as of God is the ocean and each of us as the
unique waves.
And, you know, there's tidal waves, there's big waves, there's small waves.
They all have unique characteristics, but they all are the one ocean.
Yeah.
And that was my first revelation moment that I could remember.
How old were you then?
About six years old.
Oh, that's so cute.
Now, let me ask you this.
Did you go to temple?
Did you, were you, you know, I know, cause I know I was raised Jewish too, and we were
very secular.
I mean, I think we went to temple twice a year for the high holidays, but it wasn't
like a religious upbringing was that same kind of thing.
And so would you tell your mom, I'm wondering, cause my parents really squelched my, I had
tons of imaginary friends and fairies and helpers when I was little and I didn't know
how to navigate it.
They would usually come at night and I was really scared cause I didn't understand it.
And I was just convinced by everyone around me that I was imagining it.
And so I just kind of shut that shit down for a long time.
So you must have shared some of this with your mom.
You know, when you were little, it must have come up in conversation because you didn't
know at that point that it was unusual.
Do you remember her reactions at all?
I don't know if I did share it or not, because it was so normal.
You know, I kind of saw it as just me playing in my world.
My mom's the greatest, one of my greatest blessings in my life.
You know, she's always just supported me and who I am, my freedom, my magic.
Like, you know, so I had a really great environment to explore my gifts and to be me.
She never wanted me to be anything other than myself.
Oh, lucky boy.
Yeah, totally.
And I'm sure I did.
But I don't remember if I talked with her about it or not.
And we, you know, like I said, we were not a religious family.
You know, we did our Friday night Shabbat.
And, you know, I had a bar mitzvah and I did all that kind of stuff.
But I, you know, and I even went to Hebrew school for elementary.
But I don't have any kind of feeling or remembrance of like someone telling me about God or it just felt.
And your sense of God was probably separate than this religious education.
Very different. Yeah.
Which is kind of unique, too, to have that.
And so you were really designed in many ways where a lot of kids, you chose a family and a mother that was going to really allow you to cultivate.
You know, some of us obviously in service to what you were going to do in the world today and onwards.
But I think that's the exception rather than the rule.
So it's kind of cool that your soul chose that, right?
To come in with a remembrance and to have that remembrance, if not actively cultivated
by your caretakers, allowed and, you know, and supported.
Totally.
And to speak to the second part, you know, because I said yes and no, the yes was because
I always had that natural connection.
But I guess because it was so normal to me and I didn't think to speak about it, I also
very normally, you know, went through my teen years where I went through, you know, I got
bullied a lot because I was a weird kid. And so I went through a lot of self-rejection and like
who I really am isn't good enough. I know this sensitive, goofy kid isn't good enough. I have
to be more macho. I have to be more cool. And so as I left or as I kind of distanced myself
from who I truly am and became who I thought I needed to be, I unconsciously started to lose
touch with, you know, my connection to my clairvoyance or not necessarily lose touch
with my connection to God, but it wasn't at the forefront of my consciousness in the same way.
So I, so I went, I did go through a forgetting period and, and ended up having an awakening
later on down the line that blasted everything open full blast.
Yeah. Well, I think that's such an important point. And this has been something that I've
had to discover on my own as well in my own search for faith, tuning into the faith,
and that connection that I know is there, but I can't always tap into, is that when we abandon
ourselves, which is what you're describing, when we as a teenager or as an adult or whenever that
is, we all go through these phases. I think it's part of the human school. It's part of the human
condition to go through that where you're on a path and there's an unconscious fork in the road
where you decide in order to survive in my family, in order to not be rejected, in order to get the
love I need, whatever that agenda was, I'm going to abandon my true self. I'm going to stop showing
up authentically. And to abandon oneself is a reflection of self-loathing, right? And so as we
do that, then it kind of clogs the arteries, I think, of that connection. We are not really able
to tap in and tune in in the same way. And that's something that as I have shown up so,
like as it has become impossible for me, which I think is what happens for many people when they
wake up. It has become impossible for me to be anything other than authentic. That's when that
connection can start really being fostered. I think that's such an important message, guys.
So I really want to hit that one home to you. A hundred percent. And the way I see it or the way
I like to explain it is to give the imagination that we have two stations, kind of like radio
stations in our consciousness, two manifest stations. And there's the station of who we
truly are. And there's a station of who we think we need to be. And it's on that station of who
we truly are authentic self. That's where we have our connection to source our connection to divine
intelligence to our guides, our gifts, you know, that's just where it exists within our consciousness.
But then as we go through life, be it through parents or society or whatever else, you know,
you feel like you need to be someone you're not, you need to compromise more, you need to be more
serious, you need to be more tough, you need to be more guarded, you need to be more professional,
right so you start to become more of who you think you need to be and suddenly it seems like
certain connections were never there because you might have forgotten or not realized that you
were forgetting your true self and then you forget that you forgot which is amnesia yeah but the good
news is it's just it's just a station in our consciousness yeah and i always say like when
you make that shift on the outside it may not look very different maybe you're really now finally
waving your freak flag and it's full glory and you were a corporate cog before, right?
But for most of us, this channel changing that you're talking about doesn't even look that much
different on the outside, but it is of seismic, massive proportions on the inside when you start
to kind of show up. And it also creates tremendous change, I think, in your external environment
because people who are relating to you as your inauthentic pretend self, you know, often can't
hang with the authentic self. Right. And there has to sometimes be a clearing to make room for
people who are really aligned with your authentic self. But I'm wondering if you can get into and
we're going to kind of see if we can take me through a process to demonstrate this in a little
bit. But because I have something really specific going on in my life right now that I'm struggling
with that I wasn't even going to bring up, but I'm getting the message that you can that this
could be the perfect entry point for our little demo we're going to do. But when you help people
build faith, right? And I know you're a hypnotist, you channel, are clairvoyant.
What is the process that you take people through? Because I know that's a huge part of the programs
you offer. Like, how do you help people tune into that manifestation station? But what I think of
is a two-way relationship. Like one is just to pray to that abstract potential power in the sky
somewhere, right? And the other is to really feel spirit in your heart and to know that you are
fully supported and that you are in this co-creation together. The simple response is that
I reflect truth to them in a way that they can feel it. And I'm reflecting that truth from a
space of embodiment. It's not from a conceptualized idea I have. It's a lot like to give the analogy
of a tuning fork. When you have one tuning fork at one resonance and you bring in another tuning
fork, they'll start to resonate the same way. Or a more simple way of saying that is if you
hang around a joyful person enough, you'll become more joyful. So because it's what I naturally
experience and what I'm embodied in, I serve as that tuning fork for people. And I use my skills
as a clairvoyant, as a hypnotist to land in the messages so that it really hits home beyond the
mind. Yeah. But it starts with my state of being. Yeah, that makes total sense. You probably haven't
read my book, but I'm going to get it to you called Quantum Love. Cool. Thank you. It's based
on like creating the love life you want by harnessing your body's frequency. And that's
like what you're describing right now, right? Is that you move into the frequency of spirit,
basically yes and then by doing that and holding that with intention and then bringing in your
channel right and you're speaking to their heart that we entrain to you we match your vibration
yeah that's really cool yeah because then we go beyond faith we go into knowing right and and
that's you know it's kind of like example i give it's we don't need to have faith that the
caterpillar will become a butterfly it's a knowing that that is the destiny and so we we transcend
send faith into knowingness, that's where there's an opportunity to transfer faith.
Please transfer faith. I would love that so much because faith is a constant. It's like a muscle
I'm really building because faith is believing in what you can't prove or what you can't see.
And so there's always that anxious niggling, like, what if you're kidding yourself? What if
this isn't real? What if it doesn't really happen? You're full of shit, you know, whatever,
all those little gremlins that come through, right?
So to shift from, I love that idea of shift
because I do have moments of that, moments
where I'm like, okay, it's unequivocal.
I know, I can trust, I can soften here.
I can surrender here.
I know it's all gonna be okay, no matter what.
I am supported, that which is right is unfolding.
Like I can, and when you are in those places
and for any of you listening, like when you are,
you know this, like when you're in those places,
life is so full of joy and ease.
even the hard stuff, you can experience the pain of it, but you can also hold the support.
And I think that's such a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Yeah, totally. And if you think about it, in order to have faith, when you're having faith,
it means on some level, you're recognizing a sense of knowing inside of you, right? Because
it's getting stimulated. When you have faith, there's some sort of knowing being stimulated.
And so that's where there's an opportunity for a deepening to exist within that knowing. So it's
literally the portal to the knowing okay well maybe you can take me into the knowing for a
minute are you willing to play with me here and we'll see what happens yeah let's play selfishly
but also in service to everyone because it always is all right so should i tell you what the issue
is yeah tell me what's your what's your greatest desire okay so my greatest desire is to have the
knowing you're talking about but i'm going to give you something that's been coming up that
is really, that I'm really struggling with even holding onto faith with, because I know I may
start crying, just full disclosure. These guys know I cry often, but full disclosure, I have not
been my highest self through this particular issue. I also know that it is part of like an
emotional thorn or an emotional allergy that developed through some major abandonments from
my dad and things, you know, they're old wounds that are clearly at work in this current situation.
But I am so full of fear of these two minds simultaneously because there's a part of me
that can be like, no, you know, you can hold on to faith here. You can let, you know, this isn't
about the situation. Like I can see all of that. And yet I'm not used to this now because I've
gained so much efficacy in living through pain. You know, I'm assuming you may or may not know
that these guys all know like a big part of my journey is that my 16 and it's part of what's
happening now is that my 16 year old was murdered with fentanyl poisoning two and a half years ago
oh wow my youngest child his little brother who's 14 months younger is now graduating high school
and so i am gonna have an empty nest now my entire life as a mother i've certainly been devoted to my
children but i have not if you ask me like who are you mother probably would have been third on the
list. Like I was not one of those mothers. I spent a ton of quality time with them. We had a ton of
fun, but they were not my life. They were a huge part of my life and my mission, but like I had
bigger missions. I traveled all the time. I worked full time. I was not the primary caretaker of my
kids. And so I really thought I was worried about my husband, you know, with this empty nest thing.
I really thought like, okay, I'm going to be fine with this. Like, I think a part of it is that
a new layer of the grief onion about my middle son is now I have three sons. My oldest is 26
is being peeled away through, you know, saying goodbye to this youngest son. But here's the
part that is really hitching me up. Yes, I'm sad about him leaving, but I also am so excited for
his journey. I fully support it. I want him to fly. I want him to individuate. I understand
developmentally that I'm not that cool as his mother right now and that he's got to kind of
separate from me in order to move to this? All of that, totally get. So here's what's happening,
full disclosure. He has this adorable girlfriend. This is his third serious relationship. The first
one lasted a year. The next one lasted maybe three to six months. This one has been, I don't
know, three or four months. So in teenage terms, these are long-term relationships.
And the last two girlfriends, I had amazing relationships with. And from the very beginning,
Now, one of them, the first one happened during COVID, so there wasn't another option, but I really got to know these girls. They wanted to be around me. He and they wanted to be around me. They had good relationships with their parents. They were just as happy to be around me.
this girlfriend is extremely close to her mother and says and the mother as well you know that
they're each other's best friends and so the girlfriend understandably so wants to be with
her family all the time and all of her free time and my son Jackson is smitten like I've never seen
him this obsessed and I get it she's adorable she's kind she's brilliant she's interesting
She's funny.
Oh, I get why he's so smitten.
And I agree with him that she's smitten worthy, but he is there all the time and he's doing
things with her family all the time, nor I don't know why I give a shit, but I am feeling
so abandoned and so full of fear.
And it's going back to when he was born.
And I realized I was having my third boy.
even at that point, I heard my mother who only had two girls, but I heard my mother's voice saying,
oh, they're going to leave you because whoever the girl is, it's going to depend on her whether
or not they stay in close relationship with you. So all that trauma is coming up. And so I hold
this one reality of like, of course, this is normal. Let him go. Let him have fun. Like he's
in love. Who cares who he's spending his time with? He'll come back to you. You'll still be
in his life. And then there's this other part of me like, holy shit, this is who he is. And
if he's with some girl that doesn't want to hang out with me, and I'm not saying she doesn't want
to hang out with me, but she's just not compelled to. She wants to be with her family, right? So
if she doesn't want to hang out with me, then he's gone. I'm losing my son. I'm losing my son.
I'm losing my son. I can't even talk to him without crying. It's really dysfunctional. So help.
cool I love it and I appreciate your open-heartedness and the way you're showing up
as most of you know for the past several years I've been on a pretty intense grief journey and
it's been a path of healing I've shared lots of that healing with you and lots of the healing
resources that I found. And I am so thrilled to announce that I am doing my first ever retreat
for grieving mamas. So if you or someone you love is a mama who has lost a child in any way,
at any stage, at any age, I would love for you to come join me at 1440 Multiversity

community and healing. We've got David Kessler. We've got Paul Selig. We've got Catherine Woodward
Thomas. We've got me. We've got body work. We've got organic food, beautiful rooms.
Go to 1440.org. Check it out. It's right there on the homepage. I really hope you can join us.
So first as a curiosity, have you expressed yourself to him vulnerably?
Yes.
like without protecting your heart. Yes. And I cry in front of him a lot. And I feel guilty
about that because I don't want to like foster. I don't want to make him feel guilty for being
himself. The only time I cry because he also says really mean things like last night, I started
crying because his girlfriend is leaving for the weekend and she was over and the three of us were
talking. And I said, oh, you know, your big brother is coming down this weekend. We can all
hang out. And he starts talking about he's like, yeah, I was just telling his girlfriend,
I don't have anything in common with my family.
I'm totally different than anyone in my family.
I don't have anything in common.
There's nothing we enjoy doing together.
And he starts telling me, you know, which broke my, normally I'd be like, cut this shit,
Jackson.
Like, of course we like that.
You know, I'd be like, whatever and not care, you know, because I know he's just sort of
being a snarky asshole.
And also he is into sports and music, which none of us are sporty or, you know, we like
watching his sports and listening to him play music, but doing it with him doesn't really
happen. So I get that. And so I cried and I said, you know, it really, it hurts me because I'm
scared. I'm feeling a lot of fear right now. I'm feeling a lot of loss. A lot of it has to do,
I think, with your brother. So you can blame him in part because a lot of that grief of his loss
is coming up with your loss. Like all I need is for you to just be a little bit kinder with your
words, like be aware that I feel really fragile right now and really sensitive. And so when you
say things like that, or when you tell me I'm not coming home at all, I'm going to be with
my girlfriend every weekend when I'm, cause he's only going an hour away. I'm not coming home at
all. I'm going to be at my girlfriend's every weekend and I'm not. And so those things normally
wouldn't hurt and they devastate me. So I have told him and he's very, I mean, he's such a
sweetheart and he's, and he's a really sweet kid, but he's 17 and following his dick and,
in love and about to fly the nest. And it's all really normal, you know, but I'm having such a
hard time. One more question here. Can you give me an example of how you expressed yourself to
him vulnerably in terms of, you know, this is how I feel about this. I said, I'm feeling really
a lot of grief. It's like, so I would get upset with him. And then I would come back and say,
listen, the amount of upset that I was, it's not like I yell at him or call him names, but I get
really upset and cry. And I was like, you know, all that crying and that sadness probably felt
like a lot and it wasn't yours to hold. And I just want you to know where it was coming from.
A lot of it is about the grief around Sammy and you leaving. But I also have a lot of fear about
losing you. I want you to fly right now, but and I want you to be around us. But I want to feel like
i matter to you and that our connection matters and that it's and that you do want to be around
us um and that we will stay connected and i'm just full of fear that that's ending beautiful
okay cool okay so two things one is what i feel the opportunity for in terms of expression
the reason i wanted to i asked you for an example is because you know oftentimes
there's levels to vulnerability right and so i wanted to sense and see if there was a deepening
looking to happen there and there is okay good because what i hear your heart saying
more than the story you know you know because of this because of your brother you know is
i feel sad yeah just a simple like i i feel sad forget about the explanation and the reason
i feel sad that you're leaving and just that simple expression lands very different than
i'm upset because of this and that and this and that and this and that right especially in a young
boy's mind yeah who's just right you know where where if he were to just receive the heart of it
of like you know i feel sad that you're leaving but with no story and it's just the purity and
innocence of your heart he'll feel that because there's no other story to interpret over there
does that part make sense yeah yeah absolutely because ultimately you know what you're looking
to feel is a deeper sense of intimacy and connection with him regardless of where he is
because if you felt that that intimacy it wouldn't bug you as much if he was doing his own thing but
it's that you're starting to feel some kind of emotional energetic distance yeah and that's
what's triggering the rejection rejection and one thing i realized when i was meditating yesterday
and this was a big epiphany for me she does not deserve an ounce of my resentment she's not doing
anything wrong and i've been feeling really resentful toward her toward her mom toward him
and i realized that like i you know i went in with the question because i know this is about
a different wound and i suddenly had this full-on flashback not of something i've forgotten but
something I don't really think about, and I didn't connect to this, of being literally pretty
much the same age as my son now. I was like 18 and my dad was having this horrible affair and my
mother was destroyed, like crawling around on the floor, calling me up, suicidal, like my freshman
year in college, calling me up in the middle of the night saying she, like I was their emotional
caretaker. My dad told me about the affair before he told my mother. It was so dysfunctional,
the whole thing. But he kept ending the affair and going back to it like he was an addict. He
was a sex addict, I think. I mean, that's my diagnosis. I don't mean to call my dad out who
may he rest in peace as a sex addict. But looking back, there was that energy there like it was it
was he could not stop. And he would say he wanted to stop. And then the woman would start coming to
him and tempt, you know, and then he would go back. And so it kept happening. And my mother,
I thought she was going to die. And I was so scared and I was so abandoned. And I went to my
dad, my little ignorant 18-year-old self, not understanding any of this. And I threw down the
gauntlet and I said, you need to choose. If you go back to that woman, I will never speak to you
again. I will not be in your life again. You will lose me. And I honestly thought that throwing down
that gauntlet would work because how could he give up one of his children for the pussy, basically,
right and it didn't work i mean he ended up leaving that woman in the end he but he went
back to her again even though i told him i was never going to speak to him again and that
destroyed me like destroyed me that he chose that over me and really changed the trajectory of my
life in many ways and i shared all this with him not long before he died and we had a completion
around it and a healing around it and it was really beautiful and I can see all the gifts
but it's that feeling of being a band I'm going to be crass here but this is how I saw it and
this is what's speaking in my head is like abandoning me for the pussy it's basically
what it was and there's some of that coming up again now well you know what's what's beautiful
about what you just shared is there's a similarity in that story and what you're experiencing with
your son in terms of what you're saying and what they're receiving right what you're saying and
what they're hearing because it's like in both instances you're obviously doing your best to
express what you know how to express yeah and there's a deeper innocence a deeper heart piece
a deeper expression that can come through that would land in a very different way you know
Cause it's like, you know, what I hear in the story with your dad, you know, cause as
I'm listening to your heart is, is just like, I'm going to miss you if things change.
Yeah.
Right.
And I'm scared of change and I'm scared I'm going to lose you.
Right.
And I'm exactly, and which already is a different texture expression than what was given, not
to make it wrong, but just to show, show the differences.
And so that's where this is playing out over here, you know?
And so what's beautiful is that, yeah, you have the opportunity to deepen over here, which is what we're exploring.
You know, so point number one is with your son, with Jackson, recognizing that on some level when you're saying I'm upset because on a very subtle level, that is you protecting your heart.
I don't want you to just take my word for it. I want you to sense into it, meaning like it's giving the reasons as to why you feel the way you feel. But beyond the reasons, there's just what you feel. There's just like, you know, I'm sad.
Yeah. And being and that's something I always have to work on being in large part. One of the symptoms of being raised by a narcissist is that and this is one of my mantras to myself. You don't need a reason to want what you want or feel what you feel. Right. And that is that is a constant practice. So totally makes sense that I do that. I put all the noise of the reason around the feeling to justify the feeling rather than just claiming and being honest and vulnerable with what I'm feeling.
Right. Which is innocently going to trigger all his things and make him react in kind of ways. So
that's just where there's an incoherence happening. You're saying blue, he's hearing yellow.
And so one opportunity in practice you can do is to practice speaking to him as if you are a child.
Right.
You know, like when you tune into how you're, I call it innocence, you know,
when you tune into how your inner child, your innocence speaks and you speak from that place,
the communication is much more simple it's much more vulnerable it's much more to the point it's
not so and that you know the heart resonates with the heart that's where you'll you'll feel more
yeah that'll help a lot so that's that's one part of it how does that feel for you yeah no that makes
sense cool so the second part that i'm curious to explore here is in this exploration of what's
happening with your i was going to say your brother with your son is probably was my brother
in a past life. I had a feeling you were going to say that. Through this experience, what do you
feel like when you drop into your heart? What do you feel like your heart is wanting to experience
more of in this moment? What is it needing to feel more of? It's tight and constricted. And
what does it want? It wants to soften and feel like it's going to be held and cared for. At its
very core, I think what it is, is this fear of being left alone, which is irrational in the
practical sense, but it's this fear of being abandoned and discarded and not mattering.
And it's fear. So would you say then in this experience, as you, as you're sensing into it,
that the desire, if you were to put it in a word, is your heart wanting to feel more peace?
is it safety is it support what would i so let me just try on if he were showing up
the way that i yeah i think it would be held and connected yeah i would be held and connected
and and like a confidence a faith that all is well no matter what he probably will be back
but even if he's not that's okay too right and i know that intellectually i just want to feel that
that's why i wanted to identify this so feel i felt it when you said held and connected because
there's a certain safety in that so that no matter what happens you feel anchored in you
and you're able to communicate from a certain space right so do me a favor close your eyes okay
and just take a moment forgetting about the cameras and all that stuff just take a moment
to drop into your heart so that you're not just being aware of your heart but you're actually
dropping into your heart and feeling whatever discomforts are in there and whatever else might
be there and take a moment again just in case it becomes a different word and notice in this
experience what your heart is wanting to experience and feel more of would you still say held and
connected or is there a different word and let your heart speak it yeah i mean it wants i want
to say loved yeah it wants to have its love returned it wants to feel the return and the
exchange of love perfect so i and i feel all that in that package of held and connected so
i'm gonna keep working with that one and we're gonna and that's inclusive of the
love and everything you just said so keep your eyes closed i'll let you know when to open
and what I want you to notice as you recognize what your heart's wanting to feel more of that
you know feeling more held and connected more loved notice how you can start to sense it and
feel it how you can start to feel that energy of what it's looking for and let me know once
you're starting to feel it you're asking if I can viscerally like physically feel that which
i desire in my heart the love returned or the safe holding i'll explain it more clear what i
mean is notice that the second you acknowledge what your heart's looking to feel more of you
start to feel it because when you acknowledge something from the heart level you have to
manifest a frequency instantly yeah it is softening it's not as tight i definitely noticed that
yes perfect so stay in that space and keep noticing that feeling like yeah i just i desire
to feel more held more safe more at peace more connected and as you're recognizing those desires
from the heart space notice how you could begin to feel the frequencies of it the streams of those
energies even if it's on a subtle level moving towards your heart and let me know as you feel
that. You'll feel the softening and loosening. Yeah, I definitely feel the softening and
loosening. And in a sense, you'll feel that those energies, I want to say, coming towards your heart
where you might have a very subtle resistance to it. I don't sense much resistance in you to it,
but it's almost like you could let your heart open and breathe them in a little bit,
just so you could let them energy plug in. I'm good at opening my heart intentionally,
so let me do that hold on cool give me a second yeah okay that was helpful so I have this process
where you know moving into coherence where I kind of literally open my heart center it's like one of
these meditations I do in quantum love yeah now I can feel now I can feel yeah it's almost like
energetic feeding yes because I'm seeing it too I like can feel it but I also am seeing this image
of like things get, you know, almost like my heart getting plumper and more innervated,
you know, like it's been constricted and there's now an open vessel flowing in like a blood vessel,
you know what I mean? The equivalent of that. And you're feeling this viscerally as well, right?
Yeah. No, I definitely feel it viscerally, but I also saw that image, which I think.
Beautiful. Yeah. Beautiful. So keep letting this in, just keep letting your heart and your body
receive this because this is what you were looking to feel. This is the most important
part where you're receiving it from source right now and just to take a few moments just to be with
that to let it in let it loosen you to feel the heldness the connection that you already are
because all that was really happening all this time is you knew what your problem was you knew
what the issue was you were experiencing but it's until we drop into the heart and go okay
amidst this issue what is my heart needing to feel more of and the second we acknowledge it
we manifest it because that's where the creator source lives within us right that's where that
pilot light always is exactly perfectly said you know so as soon as you acknowledge it from that
pilot light from that heart center you have to instantly experience it so now you're just taking
it in and this will work for anyone who's stuck in their head or any type of issue just taking a
moment to acknowledge the needs of the heart which can be hard to you really helped me articulate it
can be really hard to figure out what your heart wants something that makes it easier is to let the
voice of innocence do the talking child's voice exactly the child's voice like and just you know
and hearing it like i just want to feel safe i want to feel loved you know whatever it is whatever
that innocent spark is so just letting yourself soften and now notice how you can start to open
your heart even greater to these frequencies knowing that you're feeling more held more
connected you could start to soften more you could start to breathe better you might notice
your breathing shift yeah it's definitely the rib muscles and the side body all kind of open more
for sure right and as these energies flow through you i also want you to notice any particular
inspirations or intuitions that show up connected to these energies in terms of ways of
communicating yourself could be ways of expressing yourself activities
something representative of this expression of energy
it might be a softer way that you could speak to jackson so this is interesting because what i'm
seeing is sort of me on a beach at sunset kind of doing this i do a lot of ecstatic dance but this
is a little different this is sort of me dancing almost like which i don't do but i've always
wanted to do is like a tai chi thing i kind of started to understand what the images are when
I see them. And when I, when I see myself doing something meditative, when I ask for a solution
or something, and I see this image, it often means like, which makes total sense in this situation,
that it's really less about what I say to him. I don't really need anything. Yeah. It'd be nice
if he made more effort, but he's not doing anything wrong. It's more me changing how I'm
holding it so and I've known that but I but I think that's what this image is saying yeah now
you're getting the pathway where it's it's more about how you feel within you yeah because now
what you'll notice if you continue to observe and feel that image part of what probably feels
different about it is that if you were to go and act on that thing notice how much more connected
you feel going in that direction how much more held how much more safe how much more love it's
like it's like a cosmic dance of sorts. Yeah, I can see that. And I also can see the ways in
which you can sort of easily slide to like externally referenced point of safety, that
my emotional safety, my worth, my connection is found through other people or with other people,
which is absolutely true. But I also know that it's first and foremost through my connection
to the divine. So that's what it feels like the message is here, that as I fostered the holding
and the connection and the safety found inside myself, that it's just a lot easier
to be with the changes. Absolutely. Yeah. And, you know, and what I could tell you
clairvoyantly is there's a revelation looking to happen for you there. That image is kind of like
a yellow brick road saying follow this energy because if we look at how we got here you know
we we deepened in we got to the heart's voice manifested certain frequencies which is a field
of sorts and then explored the inspirations and intuitions connected to it which are going to
anchor in more of that reality and that's where you saw this beach vision right and in this beach
vision you know i'm seeing something with you in the sun specifically you know there's some sort
of revelation looking to happen for you there which is just like a oh like i didn't even know
how much i needed that or maybe you did you know but it's it's you know there's something looking
to happen there you know because one of the blessings of not having your father around in
certain ways you know which is the same blessing i went through is not having our father around
connects us more deeply to the father that masculine energy of source and which is what
the sun can symbolize in these instances so there's there's something looking to happen for
you there and what you could also notice just to kind of put a little icing on the cake here
is as you imagine yourself going towards that beach vision doing your tai chi or whatever
you're doing and you feel the kinds of feelings that will come in your body once you feel filled
up enough notice then how you feel about the other so-called issue oh i know i'll feel totally
differently I know that I will and that to me has been like I mean besides just being able to go in
and feel the loosening of that and get that clarity it's sort of like how I'm learning and
it's a constant practice that like during my darkest moments that's when I forget to tap in
and tune into spirit you know because I'm just in the mire of it and in the darkness and I forget
that that's available to me because I'm just in flight, fright, whatever mode inside myself,
right? And so it feels like that was part of the message here too, is that I've been in all of this
pain and I've been trying to like work my way out of it or judge my way out of it or meditate my
way out of it. And I've asked, you know, I always ask source for help, but I forgot again that he's
just my relationship with him or with anyone is just a small little fraction of the depth of the
relationship that we can create with spirit. And when we can really feel that two-way support
connection holding, when you can, and I really love that exercise and I encourage you guys to
try this. Maybe you didn't try it with us, but listen back and try it when you're not driving
or exercising or something, because it's really, really, that was really, really powerful to not
only be guided to even figure out what my heart wanted or be able to listen hard enough or clearly
enough to hear what it wanted, but to also open it up and soften it and allow the streams of grace
or support or what was needed to come in. Like just having a taste of that is such a beautiful
reminder of what we can build because we all need connection. We all need love, right? It's not like
if you do this, you are an island unto yourself and you need no one. Like that's not the intention,
but the way that we move in connection and relationship, I know would be really different.
So there's something that like knocked me out of it around Jackson leaving.
And it just, I just went into a spiral. So. And this is also where you transcend from faith
into knowing, you know, through doing this kind of practice, when you, as opposed to having,
you know faith in the divine or faith that things will be okay when you actually have the means to
go okay well and i'm i'm feeling something because pain if we just look at as a mechanism all pain
is just resistance to the natural self that's all the pain really is and it's most often unconscious
yeah and another way of saying it is pain is a lack of self-intimacy yeah because we're not
being intimate with our truest self so when we're experiencing that and then we go okay wait a second
i'm in my head or this is happening let me drop into the heart okay what am i really wanting to
experience more of one in this moment what's my heart really wanting to experience and you're just
like fun freedom safety the second you say it you start to feel it and then when you feel it you
start to go into the knowing of it right and that's where you start to transcend faith and
then if you can energize that through a practice like we did and and you know take a second to let
it in breathe like it you know because breathing is connected to every state we have you know you're
angry you breathe a certain way when you're your higher self you breathe a certain way so when we
start to breathe like it and let it in and bask in it and then once it comes to a point because
i was tracking you energetically to see when you're coming to a vibrational peak and once i saw you at
a certain point that's when i was like okay now notice what inspirations and intuitions are
connected to this because every state of consciousness has different connections and
then that's when you got that vision. So it gives you an action to anchor it into your physical
reality and make it that much more real for you. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. That was
beautiful. And I think it really helped. We'll see what happens when I go in the house later and
see Jackson, how different it is. Because the one thing I do know, and he was, my kids were
really what set me on the path of what became Quantum Love, is that our kids, woo-wee, do they
and trained to us. I mean, like more than almost anyone else. So that makes a lot of sense. That
was so beautiful. Thank you for taking me through that process. And I know that you have, you do
this with people, obviously you have, tell us about like, cause I know you have a subscription
program and you do events and you have, uh, I don't know if it's a business or a school or what,
but it's tell us about that. Yeah, sure. I mean, on, I guess on, you know, on the highest of
levels, I offer mentorship. That's one of my greatest passions. I work with people who are
wanting to be more devoted to their potential and mastery and really designing their life around
joy and excitement. A lot of people are very overworked, hustle and grind, believe they got
to work hard for what they want. I don't believe in none of that shit. I don't believe in stress.
I don't believe in anxiety. My motto is more essence, less effort.
so i know you do a lot of things around building wealth through yes station and without the grind
and effort and exactly where wealth meets ease so we're creating from our inner wealth which for me
is i define wealth as having a joyful connection with source yeah you know because when we have
that we feel abundant in all the ways and we feel capable in all the ways and so so yeah that's
that's my biggest thing is like i care that people experience life in more magical and
easeful waves because they deserve it it's more natural that way you know and also learning how
you know a lot of people will receive let's say inspirations like oh here's this brilliant idea
but then they'll meet that inspiration with seriousness and hard work and all of a sudden
inspiration starts to die so that's where there's all kinds of room for mastery and where i like to
show people how to maintain that inspiration and excitement all throughout the process
so that they can really love all of it and have more of a sense of joyful prosperity
rather than miserable prosperity. So on the highest level, that's what I do as mentorship.
And then I have all kinds of courses and programs. The one you were talking about is my monthly
membership guided growth. And that I created as my service to the planet. I wanted everyone to
have very affordable access to everything they need on the path of spiritual growth and self
healing and creativity and so on. And essentially what that is, it's, you know, it came from the
idea of, you know, one of the things that one of my clients said when I asked, you know, what's it
like working with me? She said, well, it feels like I never have to feel stuck again. And I was
like, oh, I like that. That's cool. And so that was one of the inspirations of guided growth was
like imagine you never had to feel stuck again and you had a practical means of strengthening
your relationship with the divine so that you could live through essence rather than effort
so that that's what guided growth is there's it's a library of over 300 videos i've created
channeled videos that i've created over the last 10 years and we do live streams and just community
and all that kind of stuff so yeah that's beautiful we'll put in the uh show notes your
website and your social media. So you guys can find all of David's programs there. I'm assuming
events that you may have coming up and rituals and whatever else. I'll come find you and one of
them go a little deeper into my heart. I thank you so, so much for who you are, the work you're
doing in the world, the help and that you just offered my soul. I really, really am deeply
grateful. Thank you so much for joining us. Yeah. Thank you for having me and for being
so open-hearted and thank you to everyone for listening and giving their attention. I appreciate
y'all.
All I wanna do, I wanna do is take you home with me
I wanna make a move, I wanna make a move
But I'm too shy
I can't fall asleep without your arms around me
